- 0:00Speaker 1: I don't look like that anymore.
- 0:01Speaker 2: I hope you're not at that age yet. Chances are yeah,
- 0:04Speaker 2: it's coming sooner than later. I'll tell you that life
- 0:06Speaker 2: kind of catches up to you that way.
- 0:09Speaker 3: On the show today, we're going to dive into the
- 0:13Speaker 3: new bidders known bidders. Sportico first reporting that this morning
- 0:17Speaker 3: for the Seattle Seahawks, of course, on they are for sale.
- 0:20Speaker 3: The Super Bowl champions are for sale. We're going to
- 0:22Speaker 3: answer the question who is a deech in Mattal, who
- 0:26Speaker 3: is Wick Grossbeck Grosbec and what that might mean for
- 0:31Speaker 3: the operations of the Seahawks. There will be a change
- 0:33Speaker 3: I will talk about, especially for John Schneider the GM
- 0:36Speaker 3: the football operation side, if these potential bidders are operate
- 0:41Speaker 3: anyway like they did with the Celtics they sold. The
- 0:45Speaker 3: Celtics were sold last year for six billion dollars. We'll
- 0:47Speaker 3: talk about that too, but Wick Grossbeck, in particular in Boston,
- 0:52Speaker 3: that will be if he operates the same way in Seattle,
- 0:55Speaker 3: that would be a change for John Schneider in the
- 0:57Speaker 3: football operation side. We'll see and we'll.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Talk about that.
- 1:02Speaker 3: At ten forty five we'll go to the NBA and
- 1:05Speaker 3: Chris is going to lead a discussion about the interesting
- 1:08Speaker 3: dynamics at play. He's shaking his head already about Draymond Green,
- 1:12Speaker 3: who like a career averaged what eight point guy? He
- 1:16Speaker 3: makes more noise and points getting on Charles Barkley on
- 1:20Speaker 3: the air on inside the NBA and Barkley having a
- 1:23Speaker 3: retort for that. But basically it's steming from Barkley saying
- 1:27Speaker 3: the Warriors are done. Their reign is over, and it
- 1:30Speaker 3: happens to everybody because you get old and you don't
- 1:32Speaker 3: win all the time. And Draymond Green took exception to that.
- 1:36Speaker 3: We'll talk about that at ten forty five, eleven o'clock.
- 1:38Speaker 3: What thing is going to be interesting for you? Terrence Samuel,
- 1:41Speaker 3: he's the receiver's coach at the University of Kansas. He
- 1:44Speaker 3: was the college position coach for Seahawks six round pick
- 1:47Speaker 3: Emmanuel Henderson junior. He also coached Cody White, Seahawks wide receiver.
- 1:52Speaker 3: He also coached Ricky recruited to Michigan State. Ricky White
- 1:56Speaker 3: the third Seahawks wide receiver. That's three Seahawks right there
- 2:00Speaker 3: for one coach at one position.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Coach.
- 2:01Speaker 3: We're gonna talk to Terrence Samuel, I'm going to ask him. Okay,
- 2:04Speaker 3: we're all billing Emmanuel Henderson, the rookie six round pick,
- 2:06Speaker 3: as a new punt gunner and a special teams pick.
- 2:09Speaker 3: What is Emmanuel Henderson like as a receiver for NFL?
- 2:13Speaker 3: I mean people have pretty much overlooked that. At eleven o'clock,
- 2:18Speaker 3: we'll couch. We'll go to Lawrence, Kansas or wherever he
- 2:21Speaker 3: might be on a recruiting trip.
- 2:22Speaker 2: He in Texas, man out there in the sun, he's
- 2:24Speaker 2: in Dallas.
- 2:25Speaker 1: He gets back to us.
- 2:26Speaker 3: That's a notre dame of running backs coach in the
- 2:28Speaker 3: Kansas wide receiver coach, you don't mind talking to us
- 2:31Speaker 3: on a recruiting trip.
- 2:32Speaker 2: But as you can see, there's a lot of talent
- 2:33Speaker 2: out there in Texas. They're in the right place.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, you're not going to run out of players
- 2:39Speaker 3: going to recruit down there. At eleven thirty, we'll read
- 2:42Speaker 3: back your text at four nine four five one on
- 2:44Speaker 3: the Takomadadge text line, as we do every day this
- 2:46Speaker 3: time in our first question on the top of the show,
- 2:49Speaker 3: your reaction to the news of the first known potential
- 2:53Speaker 3: bidders on the Seahawks. There were some unconfirmed reports last
- 2:56Speaker 3: week that Mark Zuckerberg Facebook for me, Tim Cook of Apple,
- 3:02Speaker 3: both of whom have denied it. There's spokespeople have denied it.
- 3:06Speaker 3: That was actually the report that came out from Front
- 3:09Speaker 3: Office Sports. The writer ended up retracting it, basically saying, well,
- 3:12Speaker 3: they denied it a couple hours after he.
- 3:14Speaker 2: Wrote the story, so we didn't. We stayed away from
- 3:17Speaker 2: most of that.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Other than to say it was debunked. But this from
- 3:21Speaker 3: Sportico not denied. They both through they a dietcha. Mattal
- 3:28Speaker 3: and Wick Grosbec both just declined to comment to Sportigo
- 3:32Speaker 3: rather than deny it. And I mentioned at the top
- 3:36Speaker 3: Mattal fifty years old.
- 3:38Speaker 1: He made his family.
- 3:39Speaker 3: His family made a fortune in the steel industry in India.
- 3:43Speaker 3: It's one of that country's wealthiest families. And the former
- 3:48Speaker 3: Celtics controlling over Grosbec now Wick Grosbec had he's sixty four.
- 3:53Speaker 3: He had twenty five co investors in the Celtics. The
- 3:57Speaker 3: NBA has since changed out the limit to two dozen.
- 3:59Speaker 3: Ye can't have any more than twenty four owners. But
- 4:03Speaker 3: suffice to say, when there's a price tag going around
- 4:05Speaker 3: of eight nine, maybe ten billion dollars for the Seahawks.
- 4:09Speaker 3: That it isn't going to just be probably these two guys.
- 4:13Speaker 3: And the Sportico article this morning said that Mattal would
- 4:19Speaker 3: be the front man with the most money, he would
- 4:20Speaker 3: be the majority in this grouping, and that Grossbeck, who
- 4:25Speaker 3: ended up being the majority controlling owner and governor of
- 4:28Speaker 3: the Celtics, would take a more secondary role in this investment.
- 4:33Speaker 1: That's according to Sportico.
- 4:34Speaker 3: Sportigo reports and Grossbeck were the only signatures on a
- 4:37Speaker 3: letter of interest that was submitted to outing company. That's
- 4:40Speaker 3: the investment banking team chosen by the estate of Paul
- 4:43Speaker 3: g Allen to lead the sale process, and that's what
- 4:46Speaker 3: would make this the first verified interest so far in
- 4:49Speaker 3: buying the Seahawks. The Seahawks spokesman is saying there is
- 4:52Speaker 3: no news to share. Well, that may be true because
- 4:55Speaker 3: nobody's bought it yet. Mattaal and Grossbeck the client kind
- 5:00Speaker 3: a comment to Sportico in the article so okay, who
- 5:03Speaker 3: are these guys? I mentioned Mattala is fifty years old,
- 5:06Speaker 3: lives in London. He's expected to be the lead investor.
- 5:09Speaker 3: According to Sportico, Evan nov Williams and Scott Soschnik, where
- 5:14Speaker 3: their co authors. We're trying to get a hold of
- 5:16Speaker 3: Scott Skoschnick had potentially come on the show with us.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Dave Softimher and Dick Faine are trying to get even
- 5:24Speaker 3: Novie Williams of Sportyco to come on their show.
- 5:26Speaker 2: He's on today.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Okay, So for twenty eight today you'll hear from one
- 5:31Speaker 3: of the co authors of the Sportyco article about the
- 5:34Speaker 3: potential bidders here for.
- 5:35Speaker 2: The Seahawks, Grossbeck.
- 5:37Speaker 3: He was a venture capitalist focusing on technology investments.
- 5:41Speaker 2: He's sixty four years old. Sportygo reports the plan is for.
- 5:44Speaker 3: Grosspec to live in Seattle at least part time and
- 5:48Speaker 3: quote effectively operate the franchise.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Sources told Sportico.
- 5:53Speaker 3: That's what he was as the lead owner of the Celtics.
- 5:57Speaker 3: He ran the franchise, operate the franchise.
- 5:59Speaker 2: He's been to describe.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Grosspick has as a quote fan favorite owner of the
- 6:03Speaker 3: Celtics who had a passionate, hands on approach to ownership. Well,
- 6:08Speaker 3: that sounds like the exact opposite of what we've had
- 6:10Speaker 3: here with the Seahawks.
- 6:11Speaker 1: And Paul Allen and Jody Allen isn't it.
- 6:13Speaker 3: I mean for the last quarter century and more the
- 6:16Speaker 3: last thirty years since Paul Allen bought the team, they
- 6:20Speaker 3: have been hands off in terms of football operations. In
- 6:23Speaker 3: terms of fan front you don't see them at games.
- 6:27Speaker 3: We used to see Paul Allen in the locker room,
- 6:30Speaker 3: the beat guys and gals in the locker room. After
- 6:32Speaker 3: Seahawk games home and road. We don't see Jody Allen
- 6:35Speaker 3: at all. Maybe once a year at training camp, at
- 6:38Speaker 3: a practice on the side, and that's it. But they
- 6:41Speaker 3: are not mingling with the fans and grabbing microphones. And
- 6:44Speaker 3: that's what Wick Grospick was in Boston with the Celtics
- 6:47Speaker 3: during his time of owning the Celtics.
- 6:49Speaker 1: They won two NBA finals.
- 6:53Speaker 3: He was out front, he was at rallies, and he's,
- 6:57Speaker 3: as I said, described as a fan favorite. That's brand
- 7:00Speaker 3: new dynamic, or would be I should say for GM
- 7:03Speaker 3: John Schneider in the Seahawks football operations, because for thirty
- 7:07Speaker 3: years they've been pretty much left alone with a low
- 7:09Speaker 3: profile ownership. And if this is Sportco's report becomes the
- 7:15Speaker 3: actual bidders and they would actually buy the team, this
- 7:17Speaker 3: would be an adjustment. Now any adjustment from the Allen
- 7:20Speaker 3: family in the island of state of thirty years to
- 7:22Speaker 3: a new owner is going to be an adjustment for
- 7:24Speaker 3: Schneider in that side. But an owner who was as
- 7:27Speaker 3: involved as Grosspec was in Boston with the Celtics would
- 7:31Speaker 3: be a pretty radical departure in the day to day
- 7:34Speaker 3: operations of having an owner in the front. I don't know,
- 7:37Speaker 3: and I didn't see any evidence in Boston that Grosspec
- 7:40Speaker 3: was like a Jerry Jones holding press conferences and around
- 7:44Speaker 3: media scrums in the locker room after James, but still
- 7:47Speaker 3: compared to what the Seahawks have had, this would be
- 7:49Speaker 3: the difference.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Again he was opposite of in the Shadows.
- 7:53Speaker 3: Grossbeck has been described as quote perhaps the least well
- 7:56Speaker 3: capitalized owner in sports when he bought the Celtics with
- 8:00Speaker 3: twenty five of his rich friends, including his billionaire father.
- 8:03Speaker 3: His father was a pioneer in cable television when it
- 8:05Speaker 3: began about a half a century ago. With Grosbec, the
- 8:09Speaker 3: son owned the Celtics for twenty two years. He was
- 8:12Speaker 3: motivated by the Celtics quarter century ago when their owner
- 8:15Speaker 3: was then an absentee guy who lived in New York
- 8:17Speaker 3: never attended Celtics games in Boston. So you can see
- 8:21Speaker 3: why the sport ITC article is saying that Grossbeck would
- 8:24Speaker 3: live here at least part time in Seattle. Not so
- 8:27Speaker 3: with the lead investor, mattal the inference being that he
- 8:30Speaker 3: would stay in London but be the money front man.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Grossbeck and his partners twenty five of them, bought the
- 8:36Speaker 3: Celtics for three hundred and sixty million in two thousand
- 8:39Speaker 3: and two. Descent tounk of change right, Well, he sold
- 8:42Speaker 3: the Celtics last year for six billion. That's a pretty
- 8:46Speaker 3: good turnover in a return on investment. I mentioned he was
- 8:50Speaker 3: known as a fan favorite owner at games and comforting
- 8:52Speaker 3: with fans, celebrating when the team won their two more
- 8:55Speaker 3: NBA titles in that franchise's storied history. That's the sketch
- 9:01Speaker 3: of who these two are. And at ten billion dollars now,
- 9:06Speaker 3: Grossbec himself is a lot wealthier than he was when
- 9:08Speaker 3: he purchased the Celtics in two thousand and two, by
- 9:10Speaker 3: the fact he and his group just sold the Celtics
- 9:12Speaker 3: for six billion. But as I said, he had two
- 9:15Speaker 3: dozen investors with him, so it's not like he got
- 9:17Speaker 3: a six billion dollar check cut to him, So it
- 9:21Speaker 3: would it assume that they would have co investors with him,
- 9:24Speaker 3: and that these are the two leads, and they are
- 9:26Speaker 3: higher profile because they have owned the Celtics. Mattal was
- 9:30Speaker 3: an investor in Grosbec's Celtics ownership, and so they're not
- 9:38Speaker 3: brand new to this owning a sports team. But there
- 9:42Speaker 3: are differences obviously between the Celtics and the NBA and
- 9:45Speaker 3: the Seahawks in the NFL. The biggest one with being
- 9:49Speaker 3: the salary cap. Chris I've seen some reaction to fans
- 9:52Speaker 3: already saying, well, this is great because Grossbec spent a
- 9:56Speaker 3: ton in Boston. He spent on free agency, He resigned
- 9:59Speaker 3: Jason Tatum, he resigned their stars, jam and Brown. Just spend, spend,
- 10:04Speaker 3: spend to win, and it worked to NBA Finals. But
- 10:07Speaker 3: the NBA has exceptions to its cap. It's a soft cap.
- 10:10Speaker 3: You have the Larry Bird exemption, you have a bunch
- 10:12Speaker 3: of contracts that you can resign your own guys, and
- 10:15Speaker 3: twenty percent. There's all kinds of confusing. You think the
- 10:18Speaker 3: NFL salary cap is confusing. The NBA salary cap with
- 10:21Speaker 3: all its exceptions, you can go above the salary cap
- 10:24Speaker 3: and so the owners that spend can win. The NFL
- 10:28Speaker 3: is not that way. Obviously, it's a hard cap. So
- 10:30Speaker 3: no matter how richard I mean, they don't come much
- 10:33Speaker 3: richard than Paul Allen. He could only spend up to
- 10:36Speaker 3: a ceiling. He and the owner of the Cleveland Browns
- 10:39Speaker 3: and the Green Bay Packers, in the Houston Texans and
- 10:42Speaker 3: the Arizona car all can spend up to the same limit,
- 10:44Speaker 3: no matter how richs they are. So in terms of
- 10:47Speaker 3: product on the field, Grossbec's history with buying players and
- 10:53Speaker 3: getting the Celtics championships and resigning his own players doesn't
- 10:57Speaker 3: really apply to the NFL because he will have a
- 11:00Speaker 3: cap here that he didn't have as harder cap in
- 11:02Speaker 3: the NBA. And that's important to know because I don't
- 11:06Speaker 3: think that a previous owner of an NBA team's spending
- 11:11Speaker 3: history on players applies at all to the Seahawks situation.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Now, I think the bigger question is do Seahawks fans
- 11:18Speaker 2: care more about the deep pockets or the experience around
- 11:22Speaker 2: football for the next owner. Because this guy, he got
- 11:25Speaker 2: the money, it appears he could easily go out here
- 11:27Speaker 2: and do this. But as a fan, what do you
- 11:29Speaker 2: want to see from this owner. Do you care that
- 11:31Speaker 2: he has billions of dollar that he's willing to throw
- 11:33Speaker 2: to own the team, or are you looking at it
- 11:35Speaker 2: from a football standpoint, like to your point about building
- 11:38Speaker 2: up the team and the organization seeing fit seeing through
- 11:40Speaker 2: John Schneider McDonald's image of this team and how it's built.
- 11:43Speaker 2: So that's a question that could come into fruition considering
- 11:47Speaker 2: he is one of the guys that can put some
- 11:48Speaker 2: money down to try to be the next owner of
- 11:51Speaker 2: this franchise. Because I think Jody's done a really good
- 11:54Speaker 2: job with it right. Granted, she's been more hands off
- 11:56Speaker 2: and she does what she needs to do to fulfill
- 12:00Speaker 2: certain needs that the team wants or you name it.
- 12:03Speaker 2: But now someone new coming in, would you say Jody
- 12:06Speaker 2: Allen fit the deep pocket or was she more of
- 12:09Speaker 2: the football experience.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Well, she was of the same persuasion of her brother
- 12:15Speaker 3: Paul Allen and letting the football guys do football and
- 12:19Speaker 3: did not meddle. She was the final stamp approval has
- 12:22Speaker 3: been the final stamp approval on contracts on trades. The
- 12:26Speaker 3: Russell Wilson trade doesn't happen without Jody Allen's approval. Obviously,
- 12:29Speaker 3: the Sam Darnold signing. The trading of DK Metcalf and
- 12:33Speaker 3: you know Smith within two or three days of each other,
- 12:35Speaker 3: would not have happened without Jody Allen.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Jody Allen is usually in the back of the room.
- 12:40Speaker 3: Monitoring and being told about the draft. For instance, it
- 12:43Speaker 3: was Burt Cole this year the vice chair. But she
- 12:48Speaker 3: is not making the decisions for John Schneider. And that's
- 12:50Speaker 3: a big distinction to say, Jerry Jones and some other
- 12:53Speaker 3: owners in the NFL.
- 12:55Speaker 2: So she if Chris.
- 12:58Speaker 3: Basically to summarize how Jody Allen handled that after her
- 13:01Speaker 3: brother died in twenty eighteen, she took the approach of
- 13:04Speaker 3: if it ain't broke, don't fix it. And this team
- 13:06Speaker 3: has had its most sustained run of success and super
- 13:09Speaker 3: Bowl championship, the only two super Bowl championships, and it's
- 13:11Speaker 3: fifty one year history in this ownership, in this stewardship.
- 13:15Speaker 3: So she just didn't change anything. And maybe that's good
- 13:19Speaker 3: advice for the next owner.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Well, thank you.
- 13:21Speaker 3: There's a lot of fans who would it worked for
- 13:24Speaker 3: the last twenty years, right, So why.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Would why fix it? Why try to do your thing
- 13:28Speaker 2: when something that's proven to work before? Someone just took
- 13:33Speaker 2: the reins and did the same way, copy and repeat.
- 13:35Speaker 3: But course, the difference once you punk down six eight,
- 13:39Speaker 3: ten billion.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Dollars, I hear you, it's it's like, yo, I want
- 13:42Speaker 2: to have to say, it's easier said than done. Not
- 13:44Speaker 2: to mention her brother was the guy that was doing everything.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Jody Allen didn't plunk down ten billions eight billion dollars. Yeah,
- 13:51Speaker 2: so it's a little different. But even then you're a billionaire,
- 13:54Speaker 2: are you really tripping over ten billion that you put
- 13:56Speaker 2: into a franchise that you know you're going to get
- 13:58Speaker 2: ten fold back in the next twenty thirty years. It's
- 14:01Speaker 2: like you got to think ahead, right, because that's why
- 14:02Speaker 2: they're investing this money, because they know twenty thirty years,
- 14:05Speaker 2: I'm gonna have wealth, wealth, wealth, wealth, wealth, as opposed
- 14:08Speaker 2: to well, I'm putting money down, give like I want
- 14:11Speaker 2: to have, say, oh, you want to get this quarterback? Now,
- 14:13Speaker 2: I don't like them, but I don't watch football either.
- 14:15Speaker 2: What the hell are we talking about here?
- 14:18Speaker 1: Right?
- 14:18Speaker 2: That's almost a discussion about parents stepping on toes of
- 14:20Speaker 2: these kids trying to get them to do everything. It's like,
- 14:23Speaker 2: let the child, let the kids be the kids. So
- 14:25Speaker 2: in this scenario. If you know about the money process,
- 14:28Speaker 2: that's great. Just worry about the money, maybe not so
- 14:32Speaker 2: much the players and all that. Mike mc donald John
- 14:34Speaker 2: can help you, but let's not jump into that territory
- 14:37Speaker 2: if you're not in that bag. And I think that
- 14:40Speaker 2: might be this. Sticking to your point about Jody, she
- 14:42Speaker 2: just you know, Hey, I'm the final say, but I
- 14:45Speaker 2: trust what you're doing.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Greg.
- 14:47Speaker 2: The story you wrote, that's cool, go ahead, put it
- 14:49Speaker 2: out there. It makes sense. I'm with it as opposed
- 14:51Speaker 2: to Greg. I don't know. I've never been a journalist
- 14:54Speaker 2: on this level. But here's Mike. So I'm hoping that
- 14:58Speaker 2: whoever the new owner is, maybe he just does what
- 15:00Speaker 2: Jodi did, takes out the notepad and pen I respect
- 15:04Speaker 2: it cool, do what you gotta do.
- 15:05Speaker 3: That's a good question. Chris brings up four nine four
- 15:07Speaker 3: five one on the Tacoma Dodge text line. As a
- 15:09Speaker 3: Seahawk fan, do you want it to be status quo
- 15:12Speaker 3: as it has been for the last twenty five years
- 15:14Speaker 3: in terms of ownership and behind the scenes and letting
- 15:17Speaker 3: the football guys do football stuff, or are you of
- 15:21Speaker 3: the belief that, yeah, ten billion dollars buys you influence,
- 15:24Speaker 3: and the new owners are obviously going to have more
- 15:26Speaker 3: of a say than the current owners have for the
- 15:28Speaker 3: reasons we just outlined, and that's part of the business
- 15:31Speaker 3: in modern sports. And if you pay that much money,
- 15:34Speaker 3: you're damn right they're going to have a say in
- 15:36Speaker 3: how things operate and whether US Seahawk fans are ready
- 15:40Speaker 3: for that. Four nine four five one, And we'll talk
- 15:41Speaker 3: to ten thirty about that.
- 15:42Speaker 1: When we come back.
- 15:44Speaker 3: We'll talk a little more about this and why we
- 15:46Speaker 3: maybe getting ahead of ourselves and talking about these potential
- 15:50Speaker 3: bidders or apparently bidders it's d d ers. Some people
- 15:55Speaker 3: think I'm gonna saying bidders and bidders with a D
- 15:59Speaker 3: Mike speech therapists wife would tell me to nunciate and
- 16:02Speaker 3: speak with my lips bidders. That's next on ninety three

- 16:57Speaker 3: This hour's word is win wi n enter that at
- 17:01Speaker 3: nine three three KJR dockout dot com now for your
- 17:04Speaker 3: chance to win a thousand dollars. I'll have another word
- 17:07Speaker 3: next hour. Mariners one last yesterday afternoon three to one
- 17:11Speaker 3: to end their homestand they're on the road today, flying
- 17:14Speaker 3: to Chicago for a three game series on the South
- 17:16Speaker 3: Side against the White Sox this weekend. At eighteen and
- 17:20Speaker 3: twenty two games behind, I think it's still two games behind.
- 17:24Speaker 3: The Athletics were first place in the American League West.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Brian returning to Brian wu form as we talked about
- 17:30Speaker 3: the top of the show this morning. The news of
- 17:33Speaker 3: the day is what appears to be the first verified
- 17:37Speaker 3: interest in buying the Seahawks from two investors who have
- 17:41Speaker 3: history with the Boston Celtics. The former Celtics principal governor
- 17:46Speaker 3: controlling owner.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Wick.
- 17:48Speaker 3: Some people call him the most that's his given name.
- 17:51Speaker 3: I should say Wick. Some people came IRV. You'll see
- 17:55Speaker 3: that somewhere. It is a nickname named after us. I
- 17:58Speaker 3: believe his father, Crossback, sixty four years old, was the
- 18:01Speaker 3: Celtics principal owner. He lives on the East Coast and
- 18:06Speaker 3: still lives on the East Coast. Aditscha Mattal is fifty
- 18:11Speaker 3: years old, lives in London and on the text line.
- 18:14Speaker 3: I can already see this, and I know we usually
- 18:15Speaker 3: wait till eleven thirty, but there's some things here that
- 18:17Speaker 3: are worth bringing up. The London angle is worrying some
- 18:22Speaker 3: of you. Four two five great A possible owner from London.
- 18:25Speaker 3: Pretty sure the NFL wants a team there.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Pass I get it.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Mike, longtime listener and Texter from the eight oh one
- 18:34Speaker 3: give it our experience with Clay Bennett. Shut it even
- 18:39Speaker 3: bring up his name in Seattle. Are there any concerns
- 18:42Speaker 3: that this primary owner who lives in London, Matal might
- 18:45Speaker 3: move the team there. The NFL is definitely moving to Europe.
- 18:50Speaker 1: I get it.
- 18:51Speaker 3: There is a push within the NFL and has been
- 18:55Speaker 3: for years to go international and put a team there.
- 19:00Speaker 3: Seen as the most obvious candidate to have a new
- 19:02Speaker 3: team because of many factors. One, you can almost fly
- 19:06Speaker 3: from the East Coast, where everyone in the NFL located
- 19:09Speaker 3: headquarters and decisions thought from. You can almost fly from
- 19:13Speaker 3: New York to London. And about the time you can
- 19:15Speaker 3: from New York to the West coast. When you fly
- 19:18Speaker 3: east to west to take longer, the jet streams in
- 19:20Speaker 3: your face as a plane, and what five six hour flights? Hey,
- 19:23Speaker 3: Boston and Seattle. I do it all the time with
- 19:25Speaker 3: our daughter at school in Connecticut. It's like a five
- 19:27Speaker 3: and a half six hour flight. You can get to
- 19:30Speaker 3: London from Boston and New York in about that time.
- 19:33Speaker 3: The other thing is how many times have they played
- 19:36Speaker 3: in London? Now it's been two dozen or more games
- 19:38Speaker 3: for the last quarter century. Two or three get more
- 19:41Speaker 3: than that, two or three games a year are in London.
- 19:44Speaker 3: The market is set they had. The NFL isn't grained there.
- 19:47Speaker 3: There are weekly games and sky Sports broadcasting NFL shows
- 19:51Speaker 3: and Phoebe Scheckter, one of the hosts of sky Sports,
- 19:55Speaker 3: I was hanging around with in Munich, and she was
- 19:57Speaker 3: talking to me about what the brig this daily not weekly,
- 20:02Speaker 3: daily experience of NFL viewing and content and recording their
- 20:05Speaker 3: reporting is. So they have established a foothold for sure.
- 20:09Speaker 3: And if there was one Europeans market, you would think
- 20:12Speaker 3: the NFL is going to go to first, it's going
- 20:13Speaker 3: to be London for all the inroads they've made there.
- 20:17Speaker 3: But now moving a team to London is a different
- 20:19Speaker 3: matter altogether. There's also in the text line the question
- 20:24Speaker 3: of from Jeremy and another good question four to five
- 20:27Speaker 3: Jeremy another off in textor does the trust have to
- 20:31Speaker 3: first approval of a buyer or is it the NFL
- 20:34Speaker 3: just taking the highest bidder.
- 20:37Speaker 1: That's a good question.
- 20:39Speaker 3: The trust, Jody Allen, Burke Cole the trust and acting
- 20:42Speaker 3: in the interest of the trust, get final say. But
- 20:46Speaker 3: Paul Allen's directive when in his will was that sell
- 20:52Speaker 3: the Blazers and the Seahawks so that the proceeds go
- 20:55Speaker 3: to charity. That's an important distinction here. It's not that
- 20:58Speaker 3: Jody Allen is just going to pop at all of
- 21:00Speaker 3: this money the Paul Allend Trust. She's doing okay, thank you,
- 21:04Speaker 3: without this money for sale. This money for this Seahawks
- 21:08Speaker 3: sales to go to philanthropy, and so it behoo's the
- 21:13Speaker 3: trust and those in charge of the taking care of
- 21:16Speaker 3: the trust, which is Jody Allen Burke cold to get
- 21:19Speaker 3: the most money you can so that the philanthropies can
- 21:22Speaker 3: benefit the most, right, And that's that's the intent of
- 21:24Speaker 3: Paul Allen when he said he was selling to He
- 21:26Speaker 3: didn't want you to them to sell it for cheap. The NFL,
- 21:31Speaker 3: of course, has in its best interest of its owners.
- 21:34Speaker 3: Let's face it, Roger Goodell makes the Commissioner makes forty
- 21:38Speaker 3: four million dollars a year for the working for the
- 21:40Speaker 3: owners to get the highest sale price possible, of course,
- 21:44Speaker 3: because then the other all thirty one other teams will
- 21:47Speaker 3: divide up the proceeds from this sale.
- 21:52Speaker 1: That's how this works.
- 21:53Speaker 3: And if it was an expansion team, I misstated that
- 21:58Speaker 3: the trust, Paul old Trust, would get the proceeds from
- 22:01Speaker 3: the sale. The owners would benefit by the revenue increased
- 22:08Speaker 3: by the sale. If there was an expansion team in London,
- 22:10Speaker 3: they would get all of that revenue split evenly across
- 22:13Speaker 3: the teams, just like the situation we're having in the
- 22:15Speaker 3: NBA in Seattle. So in that case, if there was
- 22:19Speaker 3: a London expansion team to carry the text lines scenario
- 22:23Speaker 3: out further, there would be of course an interest to
- 22:26Speaker 3: have it to the highest spider. But the NFL, to
- 22:29Speaker 3: more to the point, want each valuation of each sale
- 22:32Speaker 3: to be the highest it can, so the next team
- 22:34Speaker 3: to sell will be high higher, and therefore goes on
- 22:39Speaker 3: and on, valuations of teams rising waters raise all ships.
- 22:46Speaker 3: The Washington Commanders, for instance, sold for it. I think
- 22:48Speaker 3: it was six billion dollars last year. I mean, we're
- 22:52Speaker 3: just talking about monopoly money at this point. We just
- 22:54Speaker 3: talked around six billion and ten billion and everything else.
- 22:56Speaker 3: But they wanted with the media rights and the value
- 23:00Speaker 3: of teams and the revenue that the NFL printing money,
- 23:02Speaker 3: they want the valuation of teams to go up correspondingly
- 23:06Speaker 3: with everything else that goes up. So it would make
- 23:07Speaker 3: no sense for the Seahawks, for instance, in Joey Allen
- 23:10Speaker 3: to take a five billion dollar bid for the sake
- 23:13Speaker 3: of well, we like their owners better than this ten
- 23:15Speaker 3: billion dollar bid. They're not going to undercut the league's
- 23:18Speaker 3: trend of wanting to get each sale higher than the
- 23:20Speaker 3: previous one. And it was six billion dollars for Washington.
- 23:22Speaker 3: I didn't state that very clearly, but you know what
- 23:24Speaker 3: I mean. Anyway, it does is Keith point on the
- 23:28Speaker 3: text line, makes zero sense to move a franchise like
- 23:30Speaker 3: the Seahawks, doesn't matter where the owner is from. And
- 23:33Speaker 3: I totally agree. And there is nothing from the NFL.
- 23:36Speaker 3: And I talk to people at the Super Bowl about this.
- 23:38Speaker 3: There is nothing in the cards saying that this sale
- 23:41Speaker 3: is going to result in the movement of the team.
- 23:45Speaker 3: Hell mattal was an investor, has been an investor in
- 23:48Speaker 3: the Celtics while he still lives in London, and the
- 23:50Speaker 3: Celtics aren't going anywhere. The NFL has and I've been
- 23:54Speaker 3: told this by NFL people in the headquarters. The NFL
- 23:58Speaker 3: has a vested interest in the Seahawks here as one
- 24:01Speaker 3: of the only teams in like a six hour driving radio.
- 24:04Speaker 3: More than that, what is it fourteen hours twelve hours
- 24:08Speaker 3: to the Bay area. There are no teams from the
- 24:11Speaker 3: Dakotas through Montana to Idaho. I don't have to remind
- 24:15Speaker 3: people in Seattle is or through Oregon or to Alaska.
- 24:20Speaker 3: In the NFL north of San Francisco or west of Minneapolis.
- 24:25Speaker 3: If you go through that northern tier Denver, Minneapolis, San Francisco,
- 24:30Speaker 3: and then Seattle stuck up there in the upper left
- 24:32Speaker 3: corner of the continent as the NFL's only team. Not
- 24:37Speaker 3: to mention, which the corporate wealth that's in this city
- 24:41Speaker 3: and the explosion of corporate wealth from the technology sector
- 24:44Speaker 3: in Amazon and Google. They want to be a part
- 24:46Speaker 3: of that, and they want season ticket holders to be
- 24:49Speaker 3: Microsoft in Amazon and all of the So this is
- 24:52Speaker 3: seen that's part of the reason the NBA wants to
- 24:55Speaker 3: come back here to tap into the technology wealth in Seattle.
- 25:01Speaker 3: But the concerns are valid because this is change, and
- 25:04Speaker 3: with change becomes discomfort. And no matter who buys the team,
- 25:09Speaker 3: if their name is not Allen, this will be different
- 25:11Speaker 3: than the last thirty years in Seattle because Paul Allen,
- 25:15Speaker 3: we all know, bought the team to keep Ken Baring
- 25:17Speaker 3: from moving it to Southern California, which he moved part
- 25:19Speaker 3: of the front office too. For a couple of days
- 25:22Speaker 3: for the NFL stepped in and said no way, Paul
- 25:24Speaker 3: Allen bottom And for the last thirty years it's been
- 25:27Speaker 3: an Allen run franchise, and no matter who buys him,
- 25:30Speaker 3: is going to be different than that. And as we
- 25:32Speaker 3: pointed out in the last segment, if it's this until
- 25:36Speaker 3: recently now former Celtics owner who was out front, fan favorite,
- 25:42Speaker 3: highly engaged, that will be the opposite of what the
- 25:45Speaker 3: experience has been for John Schneider in the football staff
- 25:47Speaker 3: for the last seventeen years of his gmship, of having
- 25:50Speaker 3: an owner who's not in the weeds and back behind.
- 25:53Speaker 3: And the reports from Sportico again are that if it
- 25:59Speaker 3: is gross Bay who wins the bid in his group
- 26:01Speaker 3: with matal he Grosspeck will move from the East Coast
- 26:04Speaker 3: to Seattle at least part time. But I get it
- 26:09Speaker 3: where provincial or regional. If you're from the Northwest, you
- 26:12Speaker 3: want everything to be from the Northwest. There's an understanding here,
- 26:16Speaker 3: a community in civic trust.
- 26:18Speaker 1: I'm I'm sure I don't.
- 26:21Speaker 3: I have not spoken to Jody Allen and asked her
- 26:23Speaker 3: this question, but I have spoken to Burke cold at
- 26:25Speaker 3: the Super Bowl and I asked him specifically about the
- 26:28Speaker 3: potential for moving with a sale, and he said, we
- 26:32Speaker 3: have been stewards. I'm paraphrasing. You can go to the
- 26:34Speaker 3: News Tribune dot com with us up under Burke Cole
- 26:36Speaker 3: b E. R. T. Ko Lde in Super Bowl the
- 26:40Speaker 3: News Tribune. He told me when I asked him about
- 26:42Speaker 3: the fears fans will have about potentially Seahawks potentially moving
- 26:46Speaker 3: with the sale, he said, I can't speak to that specifically,
- 26:50Speaker 3: or I won't speak to that specifically because I didn't
- 26:52Speaker 3: want to get ahead of who the bidders might be.
- 26:54Speaker 3: But he did say, I will tell you that the
- 26:57Speaker 3: Paul Allen family, the Allen family have been stewards for
- 27:01Speaker 3: this community, in this franchise for half a century. He
- 27:06Speaker 3: mentioned the commitment to soccer and building the new stadium
- 27:10Speaker 3: downtown to soccer specifications which are coming to Fruition again
- 27:13Speaker 3: this summer with the World Cup being here. His words
- 27:17Speaker 3: and look to me were basically, we know what we're doing.
- 27:20Speaker 3: We're not going to screw the city.
- 27:22Speaker 1: Now.
- 27:23Speaker 3: He didn't come out and say that because he's again
- 27:25Speaker 3: not going to get ahead of who the potential bidders
- 27:27Speaker 3: are in the sale process and the vetting and all
- 27:29Speaker 3: of that. But Burt Cold related to me that he
- 27:33Speaker 3: understands the civic responsibility they have in this sale process
- 27:39Speaker 3: of a civic treasure in the Seahawks, and let's just
- 27:42Speaker 3: call it that what it is. So we'll see nothing's guarantee, right, Chris,
- 27:48Speaker 3: money talks.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Money talks, But I think the Seahawks have a way,
- 27:52Speaker 2: and they've been doing it for some time. You would
- 27:54Speaker 2: think that you're, as a new owner coming in, just
- 27:58Speaker 2: get in where you fit in and let things be.
- 28:01Speaker 2: But to your point, investing that type of cash changes
- 28:05Speaker 2: people a little bit, and I can't hold that person.
- 28:08Speaker 2: I can't be upset at a person for films the
- 28:10Speaker 2: type of way. But at the same time, it's only
- 28:12Speaker 2: a couple billion for you. You'll be I you know what
- 28:14Speaker 2: I'm saying, You'll be okay. So this will be interesting
- 28:17Speaker 2: to see how this plays over the next few months,
- 28:20Speaker 2: going into next year, i'd imagine, but maybe even sooner.
- 28:23Speaker 3: The other thing to consider is how many times does
- 28:26Speaker 3: a Super Bowl champion or a reigning league champion get sold.
- 28:31Speaker 1: This is rare.
- 28:32Speaker 3: I can't think of a time that a team has
- 28:34Speaker 3: been sold in North American sports history mere months after
- 28:37Speaker 3: they won a title. And that changes the dynamics for
- 28:41Speaker 3: the new owners coming in of wait a minute, nothing's
- 28:43Speaker 3: broken operation on the field or on the court here.
- 28:47Speaker 3: Why would I change a champion's operation in the arena
- 28:50Speaker 3: of the game. Now, not every I mean a lot
- 28:53Speaker 3: of times teams are sold when they are not going well,
- 28:57Speaker 3: the Sonics being a prime example of that. Howard Schultz
- 29:00Speaker 3: got the money, got the value of the team much
- 29:03Speaker 3: higher than he bought it. For Get the product they
- 29:06Speaker 3: let run into the ground and so that everyone could
- 29:08Speaker 3: not come to the games and say KI Arena was terrible,
- 29:10Speaker 3: and then Clay Bennett could move them. I'm simplifying, but
- 29:12Speaker 3: that's basically what happened. It wasn't the NBA. The Sonics
- 29:16Speaker 3: had not won the NBA title three months before Clay
- 29:19Speaker 3: Bennett moved them. So this is a very unique situation
- 29:22Speaker 3: of a new owner looking at the operations, the day
- 29:24Speaker 3: to day operations of what makes the money the games,
- 29:28Speaker 3: and saying, when they ain't broke, they're the best in
- 29:30Speaker 3: the world at this. And that is unique. And all
- 29:34Speaker 3: the sales that I've covered in twenty five years of
- 29:36Speaker 3: doing this, I cannot remember a time that a team
- 29:40Speaker 3: has been sold at its apex of winning a World
- 29:42Speaker 3: championship within months. And that alone should keep the new
- 29:46Speaker 3: owners from doing much on the football side now. Operationally
- 29:49Speaker 3: in the building, yeah, they're going to bring their own
- 29:52Speaker 3: people in. They didn't become billionaires just by themselves. They
- 29:55Speaker 3: had teams and they've had loyal people working for them,
- 29:57Speaker 3: and that will be changed.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Four nine.
- 30:00Speaker 3: We will talk again about this at eleven thirty with
- 30:02Speaker 3: your questions and comments about that. Up next to the NBA,
- 30:05Speaker 3: Chris is Sport Draymond Green and Charles Barkley got into
- 30:09Speaker 3: a little spat, and we're going to put a little
- 30:11Speaker 3: fact behind this to maybe put Draymond Green in perspective.
- 30:16Speaker 3: At eleven o'clock, the college receiver coach for Seahawks sixth
- 30:19Speaker 3: round pick Emmanuel Henderson, junior from Kansas. He also coached
- 30:23Speaker 3: Cody White, Seahawks receiver. He also recruited Ricky White, the
- 30:27Speaker 3: third to Michigan State the Seahawks receiver. A lot of
- 30:30Speaker 3: Seahawks ties to the Kansas receiver coach. You'll hear from
- 30:32Speaker 3: him at eleven o'clock. All that coming up on ninety
- 30:34Speaker 3: three point three KJRFM. Multiple bidders to compete against each
- 30:38Speaker 3: other to drive the price up, and so sure enough
- 30:42Speaker 3: Scott Sosnick and Evan Novy Williams, the two sport Go
- 30:45Speaker 3: reporters who this morning broke the news that the Seahawks
- 30:49Speaker 3: had two potential Celtics investors, including the former Celtics lead owner,
- 30:54Speaker 3: as preparing a bid. A second story has come out
- 30:58Speaker 3: in the last hour and a half that a billionaire
- 31:02Speaker 3: forty nine Ers investor, vend Koshla, he's a co founder
- 31:05Speaker 3: of Sun Microsystems, of preparing a Seahawks bid. Kozla is
- 31:10Speaker 3: estimated to be worth fourteen and a half billion dollars
- 31:13Speaker 3: by Forbes. He recently purchased a minority stake down there
- 31:18Speaker 3: in the Bay Area to the forty nine Ers. He'd
- 31:20Speaker 3: have to divest assumably divest of that to buy the Seahawks.
- 31:25Speaker 3: Ken on multiple teams in the same league said the
- 31:30Speaker 3: cause It didn't immediately respond to an email seeking comment.
- 31:33Speaker 3: A rep for Allen and Company, which was retained to
- 31:35Speaker 3: handle the sale, declined to comment. This is from sport
- 31:37Speaker 3: it Goo, representative for the Seahawks. At an email Wednesday night,
- 31:39Speaker 3: there was quote no news to share about the process.
- 31:43Speaker 3: That's a familiar refrain until there's news. They will say
- 31:47Speaker 3: there's no news until they can confirm, and they're not
- 31:50Speaker 3: going to confirm potential bidding until the bids begin. Even
- 31:53Speaker 3: then they may not until they choose one. But there's
- 31:56Speaker 3: your go there you go. That's the multiple bids of
- 31:58Speaker 3: competing bids already in apparently two different bid Sportic reporting
- 32:02Speaker 3: for the Seahawks. Much much more to come on this,
- 32:08Speaker 3: much more to come, including at four twenty eight today
- 32:10Speaker 3: when one of the co authors of the Sportyco article
- 32:13Speaker 3: is going to be on with Dave Softy Maller and
- 32:14Speaker 3: Dick Fane. We're trying to get the other one to
- 32:16Speaker 3: come on the show as well. Whether that's today before
- 32:18Speaker 3: we come off the air, might be tomorrow. Scott shows
- 32:21Speaker 3: Nick all Right in the NBA last night Inside the NBA,
- 32:25Speaker 3: Draymond Green of the Warriors who are eliminated so he's
- 32:27Speaker 3: got time and can be on the show, and Charles
- 32:29Speaker 3: Barkley got into it last night. Nobody wins when the
- 32:32Speaker 3: thirty seven thirty eight you said what you said, I
- 32:35Speaker 3: didn't want to hear if he believes what you're talking.
- 32:38Speaker 2: I think the goal is just to not look like
- 32:40Speaker 2: you in the Houston Rockers uniform.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Yeah, is ultimately the goal for us, Like we don't
- 32:45Speaker 1: want to What does that look like? Did you see it?
- 32:49Speaker 1: I'm just asking.
- 32:51Speaker 2: I saw.
- 32:53Speaker 3: That was Kenny Smith in the middle trying to egg
- 32:56Speaker 3: on the conversation. This was funny, Chris, I thought, because
- 33:02Speaker 3: I mean, Draymond Green is a footnote in Warriors history
- 33:06Speaker 3: of winning titles. To me, he was almost a sideshow
- 33:09Speaker 3: carnival act at times with his antics. Where Charles Barkley
- 33:14Speaker 3: is one of the best players in NBA history. Andy
- 33:16Speaker 3: Bailey of bleacher Report before you Colli Chris, he pointed
- 33:21Speaker 3: out that Charles Barkley and his fourth seasons is a
- 33:23Speaker 3: Houston Rocket, when apparently Raymond Green thinks he was washed
- 33:26Speaker 3: up in useless, had averaged sixteen and a half points,
- 33:29Speaker 3: twelve rebounds, four assists. He was a plus four and
- 33:35Speaker 3: plus minus. Draymond's Green's last four season that the Warriors
- 33:38Speaker 3: have been eight point six points, six rebounds, six assists
- 33:42Speaker 3: and a point five plus minus. Yes, that's they don't
- 33:47Speaker 3: add up at all. Charles is a better basketball player
- 33:50Speaker 3: than Draymond was, however you want to phrase it. Charles
- 33:54Speaker 3: wasn't even disrespecting the Warriors. He was making a basketball
- 33:59Speaker 3: point about dynasties. In aging, every great team declines, whether
- 34:07Speaker 3: it's the Warriors, the Boston Celtics, the Lakers.
- 34:10Speaker 2: You can go on and on about all these dynasties.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Maybe age didn't even play a factor, right, But they've
- 34:15Speaker 2: been doing it for so long it's actually a fact.
- 34:19Speaker 2: It's just you can't continue winning. It's it's just uncommon.
- 34:22Speaker 2: You don't see it. Steph Curry has four championships. He's aging.
- 34:28Speaker 2: It's gonna be that much harder for him to get
- 34:29Speaker 2: his fifth. Look at Lebron. He out here playing with
- 34:33Speaker 2: everything he got at forty one years old, and that's
- 34:35Speaker 2: not gonna be enough. They're gonna get swept. So oh yeah,
- 34:39Speaker 2: they're gonna get swept. Barkley even gave praise to the
- 34:41Speaker 2: Warriors early on in that clip. We didn't play the
- 34:43Speaker 2: entire thing, but he gave praise. He was just pointing
- 34:47Speaker 2: out my original statement that I made. You guys are
- 34:50Speaker 2: getting old. That dynasty is a rapt it's just not happening.
- 34:54Speaker 2: And Draymond took so much offense to that and made
- 34:56Speaker 2: it personal by attacking Charles, which I get it. It's
- 34:59Speaker 2: the fun joke. He's the only person on set that
- 35:02Speaker 2: doesn't have a championship ring. So when you disagree with
- 35:05Speaker 2: his analysis, whatever the case may be, the first thing
- 35:08Speaker 2: you're going to bring up is, well, wait up, how
- 35:11Speaker 2: many championship you got youck, But his impact was further
- 35:15Speaker 2: than that. He just didn't have opportunity. He wasn't lucky
- 35:17Speaker 2: enough to go to an organization to win. And at
- 35:21Speaker 2: that level Draymond did get lucky enough. But Charles also
- 35:24Speaker 2: played really good basketball. And if he didn't run into
- 35:27Speaker 2: freaking Michael Jordan in the nineties, he would have a ring.
- 35:31Speaker 3: And if he also hadn't gotten heard in a series
- 35:33Speaker 3: the Western Conference Finals against the Utah Jazz. The Jazz
- 35:37Speaker 3: one of those years they ended up going to the finals.
- 35:39Speaker 3: I think it was the one they lost in the
- 35:40Speaker 3: bull the push off by all year. Yeah, he got
- 35:45Speaker 3: Barkley missed the elimination games with an injury. A lot
- 35:47Speaker 3: of people in Houston and in the NBA think that
- 35:49Speaker 3: if Barkley had played in those games, the Rockets would
- 35:52Speaker 3: have been in the finals against them.
- 35:53Speaker 2: I'll leave it at this with Barkley, NBA MVP, Hall
- 35:58Speaker 2: of Famer, one of the greatest greatest power forwards of
- 36:02Speaker 2: all time. Not to mention, he'd been around quite some time,
- 36:06Speaker 2: so he knows this stuff. I know he didn't win
- 36:08Speaker 2: a championship, but let's not discredit him for that. You
- 36:11Speaker 2: need a little luck to win a championship. Draymond got
- 36:14Speaker 2: lucky four times.
- 36:15Speaker 1: He had the best shooter on the planet.
- 36:16Speaker 2: Go out, and Katy the boy's punking this man. You're
- 36:20Speaker 2: trying to join the team. Who's gonna say no to that?
- 36:23Speaker 2: Katie wants a ring. So let's not act like Barkley
- 36:26Speaker 2: was just some scrub and made it to the NBA
- 36:28Speaker 2: and now he's on TNT giving his thoughts. That's not
- 36:30Speaker 2: what it is. And Draymond does that too much. I
- 36:33Speaker 2: think it's funny after the first time, but you're doing
- 36:36Speaker 2: it every time now, bruh, can you come up with
- 36:38Speaker 2: something new? Coming up next? We've got something new.
- 36:42Speaker 3: Terrence Samuel is the receivers coach at the University of
- 36:45Speaker 3: Kansas College position coach for a Seahawks six round pick
- 36:49Speaker 3: Emmanuel Henderson Junior. He's also coached Cody White at the Seahawks.
- 36:52Speaker 3: He's recruited Ricky White at the Seahawks to Michigan State.
- 36:55Speaker 3: He will join us next on ninety three point three KJRFM.
