And away we go. It's time.
• 0:06
[heavy metal music] Yes, ladies and gentlemen- Oh...
• 0:31
it's time again for Full Spectrum Cycling, the show that you- Beautiful... probably listened to for 278... 77 out of sh- Wait... 'cause it's 278 times If anyone has listened- Wow... to every podcast, you have to tell us.
• 0:45
It was you. Well, I have, but that's 'cause I'm part of it and I'm- You've listened to every one... I like... I'm a sadist. Hey, if you've listened to our show from day one- Sick of asking that...
• 0:53
uh, go ahead and leave some comments in the show notes. Uh, that would be awesome. Or even if you've only heard one show and you're like, "You guys are jackasses- I'm okay with that...
• 1:01
go ahead and leave a show-notey thing. It's Mr. Jackasses to you. Go ahead and say what time's on the clock. 6:16. Right. We're running a little late.
• 1:09
We're running a little late, but at least we have this big clock to let us know- Trucker clock... what time we're [laughs]- I got one hand-... what time it is... on the wheel and one on my trucker clock. Yep. Wait, what?
• 1:21
Yep. Trucker clock, CB, come back good buddy. Breaker 1-9. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Ooh, I like these. The Chicken Shack did a, uh, little- Oh... truckin' theme for the launch of the, uh, pledge drive this year.
• 1:36
I'm not feeling super happy about my technology. We may have to start this again. Oh, my. But then it would be 6:17. Oh, no, that guy's... Look at him. He's red. He's- What?... looking at you guys. Is that...
• 1:46
[laughs] Hi. Oh my- Not anymore. Oh, there he is over there... God, look at me. I'm over here. All right, here we are. This is all of us. Look at us go. Wow. Look at how tiny that thing is. It's tiny.
• 1:56
It's a little tiny camera. So deceptive. Yeah. So, uh- This can't really be a Polaroid... it's small but fierce, dear. It's all, it's all Logitech stuff. It's all, it's all Mevo. I like it.
• 2:07
Me too, but I've been, I've been going through my stuff to try and sell stuff 'cause we're, like- Broke... 90% of the way to our goal of getting this place open, and we're a little bit shy, so some stuff has to go.
• 2:19
And then I was like, "Well, I'll get rid of all the original podcast equipment that JK and I used on our original show," if you remember the big rack- Oh, the stacks... of stuff. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
• 2:29
Then I thought, you know what? I bet some people might like to have the nostalgic- Sure... studio of the old goodness with the DBX286 and the mixers and all the technology that you needed.
• 2:41
Every so often- Instead of- Yeah... instead of just the- The board? The little tiny- The board... the little tiny box that does- Yeah... everything for you... it looks like a- Do you... Did you sell the-...
• 2:48
it looks like a Simon... It looks like a Simon board. It does- Dink donk-... totally... dink, dink, dink, donk- Did you sell the original one?... dink, dink, dink, donk. 'Cause that's your V2, right? No.
• 2:57
Well, there, there's enough money to get you over the edge- No... buddy. It's at my house. To do what? Just in case I wanna use it at home. You're just gonna bust out a new band? Yeah.
• 3:05
When the, uh- Bust out a new show... when the electromagnetic pulse hits- Coming from the basement... then you can work with that. I, well, before- On Cloverfield Lane... I really liked the original one.
• 3:16
When I first- Mm... got this one, I'm like, "I really don't care for this one that much." Now you like that one? Well, it does a lot more shit, but I really liked... The original one was just simple.
• 3:25
You didn't really have to dick around with it. But it- Is that the one that Quinn bought, too? I don't... Did he get the f- the- He got the original... original road caster? For sure. For sure. Is he doing any shows?
• 3:35
I don't know. I just saw a post on him that he's starting his new venture or been working on his new venture. Guess whose birthday it was today? Quinn's. No, it was yesterday. Whatever.
• 3:46
My Facebook- Guess whose birthday it is today? Hooper. Mm. Kyle- Motherfucking Kyle... Kyle Motherfucking Cousins. Hooper. 'Cause I, I sent him a, a funny, you know, like, "Hey, motherfucker, I hear it's your birthday.
• 3:57
Goddamnit." Are you gonna p- are you gonna piss him off like you pissed off, you know, Fat Sam? I don't know how I pissed off Fat Sam, but maybe. I think the whole problem with Fat Sam is...
• 4:07
Wait, let me think if I c- Is it about- I gotta think this up. Nope. I... Wait. Yep. It's coming to me. Yep. Yep. They're eating the dogs. It's also Richard Dreyfuss' birthday. Is that right?
• 4:19
Yes, and also- A very sad day... rest in peace Terry Garr. Yeah, Terry Garr. Ooh. Wow. I didn't... That is a... That was a long run. Alzheimer's? Alzheimer's- Uh, MS-... or was it-... I believe... Lou...
• 4:31
MS, that's what it was. MS. Just takes you out. Al- old timer's disease. But- It's one of those things where they-... Terry, as soon as I read that, I'm like, "Oh, I have such- I was like, I was like-...
• 4:38
great memories of her... I was like, "Richard Dreyfuss's birthday." And then I, and then Terry Garr, who was his wife in Close Encounters of the Third Kind, I'm just like d- hey Oh, this is weird.
• 4:48
I'm like, wait a minute. Someone's having fun here in the biosphere biodome going, "Oh, hey, chess pieces, move around a little bit." Was Pauly Shore in that thing, the Bio-Dome spoon? Bio-Dome. Bio-Dome.
• 4:58
That's why, that's why it... Yeah. Well, the movie, yes. Yes. And, and one of the Baldwins. I can't remember which one. Uh, Kenny Baldwin's Frankfurter, which would be- [laughs]...
• 5:07
Kenny Baldwin from Color Radio, which you might have noticed Mike Lorett had a, like, 1982- I saw that... what was that magazine? Uh- But, but Patrick- Yeah, yeah...
• 5:16
and Stefan and Kenny, uh, they were all on the c- uh, uh, on the cover of that magazine, which I think it might have been the second issue of that magazine. Ah, I saw it in... It, it's not springing to my head.
• 5:27
Did you... Were you ever at Color Radio? You... It was just before your time, I think. Yeah, it, yeah, exactly. You were just enough younger that you never saw those guys. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
• 5:35
But that was as close as we got to, like- 10-year-old... INXS or some other British- Yeah... something something. And they were- They-... very good. They were- Yeah... very- They had, they had a, a, a good amount- W-...
• 5:46
of presence in the, uh, um, Taking the City by Storm- Oh, yeah... doc. Which was interesting. Freaking Rick Derringer produced their second album, so it's like- Oh, yeah... "Oh, we got Rick Derringer to do this."
• 5:57
And then they're like, "Not really sure he did us any favors." [laughs]But yeah- Right...
• 6:03
seeing that, seeing that picture of, uh, of Pat just was like, I'm like, "I see you in- Yeah, I was, I tried to- I see you in there."
• 6:10
I tried to tag him in it because, you know, I'm like, "You don't look like that anymore." [laughs] But yes, he does. But he does. If you, if you know the, the side by side. I guess.
• 6:19
That's like the, that's like the glam, glamour shot of Ricky Gervais when he was in a, uh, like a '80s, uh, new wave- You know the-... dan- like, "Oh." I didn't even know that... "Oh," thing. And he's so just whatever.
• 6:34
But you see that weathered, crotchety old bitch right there. [laughs] The only Ricky Gervais I know, because I just don't know the guy other than some
• 6:43
car karaoke stuff that I've randomly tuned into, is him on the Muppets singing the Bedtime song. Oh, okay. All right. Where he just absolutely fucking loses it, and I, I love it to death.
• 6:55
We used to play it to Cleona all the time. Um, I can't remember what the, what the letter is, but he just loses it. No, I gotta look it up, so you keep talking. Yeah, yeah. Right on.
• 7:05
Uh, I was gonna say that, uh, I, I might have said this before on the show- Oh... but I'm not- Wait, no. That's him?... I'm not positive. [laughs] That's Ricky Gervais? Yeah. Show that to the camera.
• 7:15
Get the fuck out of here. Show that to the camera. Let's see that again. That's unreal. That's crazy. [laughs] But see, you see the, you see the crotchety old man in there. Yeah. Wow. How old was he there? Oh my God.
• 7:27
Oh- 10?... copy, copy that picture. We'll put it in the- Look at that hair, man. Hey, I'm telling you. I don't give a shit about no copyright bullshit. Let's just go ahead and put that on there.
• 7:36
Well, yeah, but it was a, it was a two-piece, a two-member band. Oh, whoa. So the other one- It gets even better. [laughs] Oh, no. What kind of, what happened to the hair?
• 7:47
So that's why nobody really paid attention to the Ricky. It's like, it's to the glam. And that's why he- Ooh... and you know what? I bet that's why he's so bitter. Could be. I think that's it.
• 7:56
I think we've just cracked it. Oh, boy. Oh my God. You know what I want? I feel like I'm doing some good out here in the world. Kinda wish Apple would make a touch screen so I can do this to my screen. Oh, Lord.
• 8:04
You're doing it anyways. I know, but it's not doing anything. [laughs] I'm just doing it. It's like I can do it over here, but I'm doing it over here. I got this little tiny... Look it. [laughs] It came in here- It's-...
• 8:13
and the, and the main thing was out of batteries, so I just had to pull the phone out, and it works. And you know what? Couldn't you have just plugged it in and it would start up, or does it not work like that?
• 8:21
Well, if I'm gonna put the audio into the phone, it doesn't have power over audio, over USB-C for some reason. It doesn't power it, it just- You, can I, can we digress into the ridiculousness that is Apple? No.
• 8:35
Did you hear about their new mouse? Yes. Still fucking charges from the bottom. Why? You gotta charge it what, once every six months? What are you- Does not matter. It's gonna run out when you're Polish.
• 8:45
It's gonna run out immediately when you need it. Ugh. And then you have to flip it upside down and plug it in. I use this. I, I mostly- Plug it into the ass, Apple. Hey. Hey. Plug it into the ass. Hey. I mostly use...
• 8:56
Is it Li- what, Logitech? What's, what... I use a- Yeah, the Logis are good... I use, with a dongle that you have to put into your freaking computer. Why doesn't it just connect with Bluetooth easily?
• 9:05
No, it's got latency and stupid shit. 'Cause it's, yeah. 'Cause it's- It's 2.4. But these cameras are all Logitech, and they seem to be pretty freaking good. I'm very happy with them.
• 9:15
It's, uh, lullabies with Ricky Gervais. Oh my God. But Logitech, hey, they've been reliable for- Yeah... a damn- They're a good pro-... a damn- They're a good company... for a damn long time.
• 9:26
And to be fair, when I plug this in at home, the dongle's in a hub, and it works great, so I'm not worried about it. All right, the tech- And to be fair-... the tech spot of the show is getting close to being over...
• 9:38
I stopped at, uh, Puddler's. Hall? Yes. After, uh- Milwaukee's second oldest bar? Second oldest, uh, after the Packer halftime show of Cities and Dust, which was really cool, Siouxsie and the Banshees- Nice...
• 9:53
cover band, during the Packer halftime, and went over there. And I noticed that they do have... 'Cause, uh, Letterkenny was supposed to show up there- That's true... until pandemic times. Right. Right.
• 10:05
You are correct, sir. Puppers. So they still have the, uh, uh, they have the sweater up in a frame. Someday- Oh, nice... someday they'll come back. Or is that- I cannot believe that's Ricky Gervais. [laughs] All right.
• 10:20
I've, the- Captivated your mind... the pop culture segment of the show is- Is, is over... over now. You never know. We, we only got one, I only have one thing for Milwaukee, which is- What's you got? Well, Saturday,
• 10:33
day after tomorrow, Saturday, is the Bike and Brew out of Hacienda. Yep. I think that's something that I'm gonna go ahead and do. Check out. Unless it's 30 below zero. No, it's supposed to be reasonable. Oh, that's you.
• 10:47
You're sending me stuff to my- Yeah, yeah, yeah... my wrist is going- When you're hearing the dings, it's me...
• 10:51
Spock, could you please get the starship out of the fucking- Yeah, zoom in on the red jersey, the s- red sweater. Wait. Hey, you know what? I gotta put a link in the show notes.
• 10:59
I'm gonna, if I remember to do this, of my, my Cheeto bag Doomsday Machine video. Please do tell. It's, it's, it's a Short on YouTube. It's a bag of... Well, it's actually Doritos.
• 11:11
So I got the camera going into the bag, and it looks just like the Doomsday Machine. Oh, or a Nelly video. Oh, it's so good. Or a P. Diddy. Uh-oh, too soon? I don't know. No. We'll look at it after the show.
• 11:25
It's really fun. [laughs] Uh, so yeah, it does out of Hacienda on, and also Three Sheeps. And is there another? Uh, they're, I think they're Hacienda and Three Sheeps. Yep. And- Uh-...
• 11:34
Door County Brewing- Oh, Door County... which is- Which is owned by Hacienda... which is also Hacienda. But that'll be a thing on Saturday at, I don't know, sometime early afternoon.
• 11:44
I, I'm gonna go ahead and push this right here. But I can't. You know why? 'Cause the screen. [laughs] Son of a bitch.
• 11:51
Um, but while I'm doing this, uh, I posted two of Chewie's shows back to back, Sunday and Monday, because they have a big deal yesterday about horses using trails in the city parks in Decorah- And How dare they?
• 12:09
Well, there are some trails that are good for horses and good for bikes, and bikes and horses, but there are s- like, three miles that aren't. Is this, like, Amish or just, like, trot and- No, no.
• 12:20
This is, like, double track up in the hills. Okay Kind of ride, ride, ride. It's, like, old Jeep trails and- Not Amish. Nope. Okay. [laughs] They, they, it's... I don't, you don't get many- It's an A...
• 12:29
you don't get- Not Amish... you don't get many Amish up there in the, uh... Oh, hell Oh, you do... not into Decorah. Come on. Whatever. Oh, maybe not Decorah. No. Whatever. No, no, no, no, no. Come on.
• 12:38
Mineral Point, you got your Mennonites, uh, whatever, whatever. I'm just saying. Splitting hairs. You never know. Yeah...
• 12:43
I, I, at least in my opinion, knowing about Mennonites and, and Amish, I think you're splitting hairs, but I'm probably gonna get chastised by someone for saying that.
• 12:49
Yeah, well, the Hutterites we used to do- The Quakers and the Shakers and the- We, we used to do-... Brethren... the Hutterites in South Dakota, where we, we flew off their- South Decorah?...
• 12:56
500 foot- See, it's so close to- Bluffs... Decorah. Yeah. You got- South Dakota- Dakota... it's called Decorah. No Dakorah. Uh, all, all German, you know. The guys get to have fun and the women do- Duh...
• 13:07
all the work and- Not the Pennsylvania Dutch... and they raise turkeys. Duh. Duh. Uh- Speak- Did you see, did you see my thing in Bike MKE? Which one? Well, you're a nerd. You can figure this one out. It is...
• 13:21
Bikeindex.org has an API. I did see that. Mm. Yep, yep, yep. Why doesn't Facebook- Tie it all in... offer up, and Craigslist make you put a serial number in to list a bike? Good point.
• 13:35
Which it could then go, beebly, beebly, beebly, boop- Right into the API... and figure out if it's listed as a stolen bike or not, and if it is, simply don't list it. Right? That's all they have to do.
• 13:46
Or notify the police and get them to bait it. Yeah, maybe that would be more... But I'm saying just don't list it. Maybe. Why would you... It would cut out every way to buy a stolen bike, just about.
• 13:58
[bell dings] Goes a bell. [bell dings] Ding. Goes a bell. [bell dings] Ding. Goes a bell. [bell dings] Ding. Goes a- Go the fries. So I don't know. You're the- I, that, that's an interesting idea.
• 14:08
But it's mostly how do we get them to implement it? Show of force. Maybe. There'd be a lot of people to petition them and be like, "Hey." Although I like the whole... So let's digress into this.
• 14:21
So I was contacted by Carolyn. He wr- he rang the- Oh, wait. We should do that first. I was gonna digress into the- We should do that first. Let's digress into this. Yeah, he rang the...
• 14:28
Are you already on beer number two? Mortal Blue. Well, JK brought the beer today. This is something I've not had before. No, it's, it- It's crusty in tropical notes. Yes. Founder's Mortal Blue Hazy IPA. Mortal Blue.
• 14:42
Six- It's actually citrusy, but I understand. Six... Yeah, it is very... What? It's not bad. 6.8, I wanna say. It's the- I don't know. You got the bottle. It's gonna be the 3D House of Beers. Or 6.5 or 6.3. 6.2. 6.2. Oh.
• 14:56
6.2. Even better. The other one I was gonna get was kind of a horror-themed one, which would have worked out, but- This is actually really good though... but it clocked in at 8.1.
• 15:04
[laughs] Yeah, thank you for not doing that. And I was like, I don't- I appreciate you not doing that... I don't, I really... Yeah, I've... Yeah, s- same here. I get... I...
• 15:10
Yeah, yeah, it comes through this plumbing too. Right on. So- [laughs] So Carolyn, you were saying. So Carolyn contacted me.
• 15:18
Well, I don't know if you saw the post this weekend that apparently a couple of bikes were retrieved in River West from the police. Right on. But- Which, who... Do we know who?
• 15:26
Uh, no, I asked who, and they haven't gotten back to me, but, uh, Carolyn and, I believe, Aton, have been talking to the police and are interested in setting up a bait bike. Bait bike. Or actually, a few bait bikes.
• 15:40
There's gonna be... Not that any of the s- the thieves are gonna listen to us, but there's gonna- Right. [laughs]... supposedly one outside of Wonder Boy. Um- What is the secret about that bar? You deserve your power.
• 15:51
Uh, one by Aton's, outside his bike rack, and then one in front of my house. Oh. So I got, I got the funniest message from Carolyn. It was like, "Do you have any place where a camera could see someone stealing a bike?"
• 16:02
Oh, yes. In which case I responded Car- Carolyn, "I currently have 10 cameras outside my house." [laughs] I, I don't know. Uh, uh, plenty of bikes have- I'm locked down like Selfridge... people have been on camera.
• 16:12
You can see everything here. [laughs] Yeah. I... So I am... One of the bikes... Ooh, they're all gonna have Air Tags or a tracking, um- GPS, because you can catch a Bluetooth thing pretty easily with a little- Right...
• 16:23
boop, boop. Um, the- I'm sure they're smart enough to know... so, so yeah. Hopefully we will have a, uh, a bike, bait bike before too long in front.
• 16:32
I'm gonna put it in my front yard, not my front yard, but in my front of my house on the railing there. Gonna get your railing cut's what's gonna happen. I'm fine with that. [laughs] I hate that railing anyway.
• 16:42
Um, but there'll be... There's a pan cam, a flood cam, and I have two wireless pros are gonna be pointing on right there. Right on. Well, let's see. So- I mean-... fingers crossed- I-...
• 16:55
some of these fucking bikes get back... I don't get why this is... They already know where they're going. I... Doesn't make any sense. But as long as they're doing something.
• 17:05
They had a big meeting, uh, c- couple of days ago. Oh, a Japanese beetle up there. Oh, they're freaking everywhere in my house again. There's one. There's one. Up, there's two. Nope. Oh, I see one underneath it.
• 17:13
One- Kill it. Kill, kill, kill... uh, play Boris now. Nope. Japanese... Oh, that's funny. Yeah. Hey, it's, uh, hey. Uh, so there was a meeting at- I have my moments...
• 17:23
at Gordon Park about the, not just that bullshittery, public safety in general, but also bullshittery with bike stealing, and I didn't get the minutes yet, but
• 17:33
it'd be worth looking into because, uh, sounds like this is- This is organized... well, this is, uh, Brostoff is doing it. Yeah. The, no, and I'm, I'm saying the bike thefts are organized. Well, obviously.
• 17:43
This is not, I mean- Organized crime. Yeah. Aha. I mean, it's clearly organized crime. Let's get the RICO law on these guys. Yeah, dude. Right? Oh, shit. We get fucking Chris Maloney down? Yeah. We're working. All right.
• 17:55
I'm working this. All right. I like it. I like it. Oh, my back's not doing so well today.
• 17:59
I'm kinda messed up too, but, you know, we're all- And I think someone in my family that doesn't live in my house anymore borrowed, not stole, borrowed my back roundy thing that I can go like... Oh, a bastard.
• 18:11
Oh, I love my thing. I love a roller. I don't know if it was a bastard or- A roller or, or a bitch... can, can women be bastards? Oh, that'd be a bitch. Or bitches.
• 18:17
[laughs] Oh, yeah But neither one of them since you were married when you had both of them But both of them are bitches if they stole my shit. That's true. Oh, we're gonna go into the C word. Hey, wait though.
• 18:27
We'll go into the C word. Is Garrett, is Garrett coming home and raiding your refrigerator every weekend like Cleone? No. Yeah. You know what I have to go do? I have to go get- No...
• 18:37
it's Cleone's term to, turn at her dorm to provide the toilet paper and tissues. So I gotta go to fucking Costco tomorrow. Get the fuck outta here. What? Five girls living in a room, what do you expect?
• 18:48
They gotta go through toilet paper like there's no tomorrow. Uh. Uh. Back in my day when I was in the dorms, we got it for free. Yeah well, not in the- The dorms? What do they call them? Suites? Uh- The modern- It was.
• 19:04
No, it was. Yeah... the modern $10,000 a year dorms, right? Yeah, it was a suite. Yeah. Our, no- No... our, no. Ours was a suite. Was it? It was one hallway. Okay, a door to the outside the hallway.
• 19:16
We- Two people in one, two people in the other, and one had their own And then the R- R head and RAs. No, and- What happened to your thumb dude? It looks bruised as shit. What? This thumb. Look at this thing.
• 19:26
Turn it down like this. It's like all bruised around it. Yeah, that's, life comes at you pretty quick, man. [laughs] It's still working. Well, it's just cracking a lot though.
• 19:37
I think it, it may be that Cleone just wants nicer toilet paper. Kinda like my- Well, I-... kinda like my shoulder, cracking. Oh. If I could... Oh. It does that. Oh. Mine does that. Oh dude, I could do popcorn.
• 19:47
I did popcorn on my ankle like, "Oh, hell." [laughs] Dun, dun, dun, dun, dun. All right. Hey, onto bike stuff. Again. There's, there's a little bit of bike stuff. We were there before, weren't we?
• 19:57
Hey, guess how I moved this now? I used this thing called a track pad. It's like, yeah. Yeah. Instead of touching the screen? It's like touching the screen without doing it.
• 20:04
Uh, you know, the hur- the hurricane, the Helene that came through. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. There was a little- Just damage... there's an update from Steve Garnett Brew, and things are going well.
• 20:13
He got a lot of people to help out, and it's looking good.
• 20:16
He had this list of when the shop would open again, and it started out like maybe mid to late January or something, and then it kept going down, and now it'll be mid-November possibly. Shop's open. Nice...
• 20:28
because they've gotten so many people to help, and also donations and stuff, so that's really cool.
• 20:33
But what really hit me about how hard that was devastated down there is Augusta, Georgia has like 100 miles of mountain bike trails. Not one of them was able to be open after that. Wow. They cleared a three-mile section,
• 20:49
736 hours- For three miles... of like volunteer time for three miles, and 501 trees removed. Wow. 501 trees for three miles. So- So they got a lot of work to do. Gi- given that we're talking Augusta, I wonder what the...
• 21:07
Sorry, this is me being weird, but I wonder what the golf course looks like. Oh, Lord. Oh, yeah... 'cause I mean, that's a pretty serious course. Well, I'm gonna tell you, the Biltmore really didn't suffer very much.
• 21:15
It had a little bit of damage, but that's- Well-... 'cause you built a house, you built a building 100 plus years ago and- Yeah... they're made to last forever.
• 21:21
Plus, the town, Biltmore Estates or whatever is, is way down the hill. Yeah. The actual mansion- Yeah... is on top, it, yeah. Yeah. So some of the- Shit rolls downhill, man...
• 21:32
some of the, uh, properties had, they had trees down and stuff, but- Yeah... yeah, guess you, you get... Hey, location, location- Location... location. Location.
• 21:41
And you know where there's no location to build a house and- Hopefully-... not get it devastated? Florida. Thank you. Hopefully their, um, the uh, the shower rooms are okay there because- Yeah...
• 21:50
you know, there are great memories in that place. At the Biltmore? Oh, yeah, in Augusta- In Augusta, Georgia... National. Oh, yeah. Arnold Palmer's legendary penis. Like his whoosh, whoosh. Hella- Legendary...
• 22:01
doing the helicopter here, bro... legendary penis there. Legendary. I'm, I'm, I'm interested now- He had a legendary penis... after you said that... it was really good...
• 22:07
I'm like, wow, is this guy like, like- I'm gonna look at old footage and just see, like yeah- Was it like down to his knees?... during the '70s, it looks like really there. Yeah... I wanna know.
• 22:13
I, I don't care, but I'm like- He's not-... his daughter is so embarrassed... you see golf women golfing, and they have the, you know, the top accoutrements moving. Maybe he had the bottom accoutrements moving- Maybe...
• 22:26
while he was swinging. Yeah. That helped- It was like he-... the pendulum helped the swing maybe? Right, right. Yeah. Never thought about that- Oh... but maybe. Got an extra 20 yards off that. That could be.
• 22:36
God, this is... We've gone downhill fast. Let's change this. Thud. So- Dirk Diggler...
• 22:41
did we, we talked about this before the show I think, but the American Heart Association, there's a Ride 100 miles in November challenge. Yep. Yep. That's- It's not gonna be that hard here because- No...
• 22:51
it's 70- It's gorgeous... freaking degrees outside right now. I mean, it's gonna turn- And it's-... it's gonna turn like a very- In-... very, very-...
• 22:57
in internet time, it's still 6:40 at night and 70 degrees in October... very. Yes. That's- This is an anomaly... s- 73... it's a- Oh, is that what you got? Okay... it's an anomaly right now.
• 23:09
But even so- There's no such thing as freaking climate change... it's gonna be, it's gonna be f- Change... 40, 40, 40s. 40s and low wind is the best. That's the best. I, I kinda like that weather. Maybe that is the best.
• 23:20
Yeah, I got 75 here right now. Maybe a little- And overcast... maybe a little misty... a little misty- A little misty... keeps everybody at home. "I don't wanna go outside. I don't wanna go outside." Yeah. Okay, good.
• 23:28
The best- Good, I'm gonna go ride my fucking bike... yeah, you don't wanna drive, and you don't wanna walk. You don't wanna... You know, okay, clear the fucking streets- Good riddance... and it's gonna be awesome.
• 23:36
I like that approach. Yes. All these nice days everyone's like, "Why aren't you on your bike?" I'm like, [laughs] "'Cause everyone else is." 'Cause I got a car now. 'Cause... Well, there's that.
• 23:46
But, oh, fucking Japanese beetle again. It is the great toil. Damn things. Godzilla. There's also some- Godzilla... there's some other bug that lives up in the ceiling that's not one of those that's bigger.
• 23:59
But it's always dead when it falls through the ceiling. Stinkbug? Stink beetle. Uh, I don't know. It's got its feet up in the air. Stink beetle. Probably. And it's hard. Sure. It's not, it's not soft.
• 24:08
Yeah, it's like a little baby aerobic pillow. Kind of a weird triangly look, almost- Don't, don't- Yeah, maybe... looks like a stealth- Don't push one... I'll, I'll save one... like a stealth bomber.
• 24:13
Don't- I'll save one... it's a stink beetle. Yeah. I know it is. 'Cause as soon as you, like, crush it- It stinks... it's- Why would you crush it if it's already dead? It, it, well, then it stinks. There's a reason.
• 24:22
It's called a stinkbug. Oh. And it's l- it's like hidden. It's like- Just to test it? Oh yeah, you're stinky Yeah. Well, essentially, yeah, it's like a fucking skunk- All right... kind of thing.
• 24:33
So- A moment of silence for Paco. Paco was the plecostomus that lived in the tank with Gilbert at home. Oh, he passed? Paco passed. Sorry, Paco. But we found him this time because Paco, he's actually Paco Two.
• 24:48
Paco One- Got eaten... never found him. Got eaten. Maybe. But really? Gosh, he was pretty good size. Yummy. The, the goldfish is getting big, and I'm like, that it's been there for now 11 years. It's an 11-year-old fish.
• 25:04
Wow. It's insane how long that fish is living. Well, I told- Well, they live a long time, but- Can- 'Cause it, 'cause we gave it a 30-gallon tank- Well, we can eat him... for one fish.
• 25:14
I told you about the, uh, the black molly that was in the saltwater tank. And the guy,
• 25:21
my old roommate, uh, said like, "Oh, this is too much work doing a saltwater tank," and thought he got all the fish out of there, but didn't.
• 25:29
So this molly was like just trapped under one of the pieces of coral and whatever for a year and a half? Oh, come on. Something of that nature. And, uh, decided to kinda resurrect the tank,
• 25:47
and then it's like, okay- And out comes molly... and yeah, and like moves one thing and also I think- I like molly... it, yeah. So the entire, it, but bent like, you know, kind of like a triangle style. Wow.
• 25:59
And was- But still alive... yeah, still alive. It just somehow, I mean, whatever nutrients were in the water sustained- Likely poop... that. Yeah, I mean, it was like- Poop's good...
• 26:08
it w- well, it was something out of like a, a like Greek legend- Wow... or like mythology going like, "Oh yeah, here's your punishment. All eternity you get to sit here pinned inside of a thing," but- Creepy.
• 26:19
I like it... I, I kept thinking to find the original Paco in like part of the filtration system or- Right... it- Well, that was the thing. No bones, nothing... I was like, "Didn't you have like four?" He's like, "Eh."
• 26:29
The tank has a cover. [laughs] He couldn't have jumped out of it. I mean, we did... He had a, a, a ribbon eel that slipped through whatever little thing that you have to cut out to put the filtration system in,
• 26:42
and it slipped out and went down and was like a piece of- This is really decent beer. Yeah, for sure. Founder's Mortal Bloom. Yeah. It's very good. HZIP. Uh- It has tropical notes... all right, so here's something.
• 26:54
And- Smith Liquor... if you ask me, if you ask me for a code- Eh... you can get this for a substantial discount from Swerve because I think we talked about this a long time ago. They are shutting down. Yeah.
• 27:07
But it's a slow shutdown 'cause they have stock left, and who knows how long it'll actually last. Can I get it in Milwaukee? But they're in... I have not seen one. Oh.
• 27:16
But they're into the, uh, winter or, or fall e- at least stuff, and they have this soft shell, you know, cycling looking cap with things that go down over your ears. Retail, 35 bucks. Very nice.
• 27:31
Discount, boom, makes it less expensive, so. I have a lot of hats, but I really want that hat. It sounds like I need a hat. It's a damn nice hat. I would like a hat. I'm, I'm low on hats, so- It's a damn nice hat...
• 27:41
please send me that link. So I swerve, um, I, they, they keep sending emails around with discounts of some description, but- I gotta look...
• 27:48
you can email Greg at Full Spectrum Cycling and I'll give you a good discount code. Like yeah, the two people with wonderful locks and heads- So-... of hair-... I gotta say-... they're going, "I need hats"...
• 27:59
I gotta say they- Geez... they must have plugged the industry hole because there was one where I ordered the pants with their discount code, then added on industry guy code, got them both. Oh, yeah.
• 28:12
And it was like a super deal and I'm like, "I really feel kinda bad about this," but- No, then it passed. Well, then they've plugged the hole apparently because, you know, they figured it out [laughs] I think.
• 28:23
But they did honor it, to be fair. Mm-hmm. To be fair. I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know what's going on. Oh, oh, you know what? I think I talked about these last week. Surface 604 bike for sale.
• 28:34
Clamper brakes, I gotta clean those up a little bit. Oh yeah, they're gorgeous. I am gonna throw those on somewhere.
• 28:39
Anybody needs a pair of orange and black Paul's clamper brakes, by the way, those were given to us, to me for when we were doing fatbike.com as a test thing. They're gorgeous.
• 28:52
And they were on my fat bike for a long time, but- They look very shiny... I don't want to ruin them with sand, which is the only place that bike's been getting ridden lately, so. Mm-hmm. Taking them off.
• 29:04
Uh, taking them off. I'm gonna put, you know what I'm putting on there? Goddamn BB7s, you know why? BB7s, cheap, work, don't worry about them. Stainless model or the regular? Yeah, the stainless hardware probably.
• 29:18
Yeah, I prefer the stainless hardware. But yeah, I- Might as well 'cause we-... I've had years on mine and they're great... we, we live in, we live in sh- Gotta live, gotta live, gotta live in Shit Town.
• 29:26
Oh, that's my live song for you folks. Damn it, you made me go look- The band... at this hat. No, no, I want this hat. Swerve collections winter caps.com. Oh, God damn it. Damn it, Greg. Yeah. Yeah.
• 29:38
Like I, I like the orange one. Well, of course you do. You love orange. Maybe we can save on shipping if we all buy hats. You mean the knotty pine? Is it orange? Yeah. Okay.
• 29:49
I have a very, very wonderful Lowe Alpine hat that I've loved for like 20 years and it's similar, but it's also getting long in the tooth. Oh no, you're looking at the burnt orange. Burnt orange. That's a gorgeous cap.
• 30:03
It's usually a good color. Yeah, I'm gonna need the code for this 'cause that's, there's a lot of great hats here. Right on, right on. Ooh, Daniel can get a hat for $9. Is his head as big as your head? Uh, it's bigger.
• 30:15
[laughs] Hey, anyway, so if you guys haven't listened to Chewy shows besides the horse issue, there's some good stuff in there from Jerry's Celebration of Life- Mm... which we were all at. Yeah, that's a bummer.
• 30:28
Uh, the first show has a, a Jenny, I can't pronounce her last name because it's like Gurros or some stuff- A musician, though, and she is very accomplished and was on Billboard's, like, top 10 for some blues category with- Wow...
• 30:44
her band and stuff. And I'm hoping they come through Milwaukee. Be fun to see.
• 30:49
And also, I think that both Spinner and Chewy talk about when they came to Azalea Israel and how they didn't stay in the right spot in the city and stuff. [laughs] Did they say by, stay by the Salvation Army place?
• 31:02
No, no. Did, did- They, they s- they stayed right by Fiserv, like- Yeah, that's-... three blocks up the s- yeah. Yeah. Oh, is that by the... Okay. Yeah. Yep. Yeah, yeah. But it's right by Fiserv. Yeah.
• 31:11
Yeah, but it's not- It's also right by the Salvation Army flophouse... but it's not, it's not $900 a night. Oh, it's that place. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. [laughs] Yeah, I know that place.
• 31:19
It's like, yeah, that's Bre- That probably will get expensive-... it's Brewers Hill... even though it's in a tough area. It's Brewers Hill. Yes, it's Brewers Hill. That is not Brewers Hill. And that's very nice.
• 31:26
Well, it's- No, we're on the cusp of Brewers Hill. No. No, no. That's 12th. It's, it's on the edge. Where it is? No, it's on 6th. Is it on 6th? Yes. Well, that's technically Brewers Hill. Yes. Yes.
• 31:33
They can get away with that. Yes. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. It's on the very edge. You know what's on the other side? Not Brewers Hill. Right. Mm-hmm. It's...
• 31:41
Well, depends on, it's either Harambee or- No, it's not Harambee... or West. No. No, no. It's- No, Tony, you're going west... going west. Oh, going west. No, that's called a barrio. A, a bar, a barrio? The hood.
• 31:53
[laughs] No, it- Now you're just making shit up... all right. Yeah, you're just making words up, man. I'm not. [laughs] All right, everybody. Well- Yeah, we're, we're, we did almost half an hour... I'm not sure.
• 32:02
I don't even know how this happened, but, uh, we got through the show again. Yeah. And who knows if it worked because scramble, scramble, scramble. Did you push the button? You did. At least we got that going.
• 32:10
Yeah, at least we got audio. That's all anybody really cares about. Who wants to look at our faces? Ah, no one wants to look at me, that's for sure. Mug, mug. Mug, mug. Mugs, mugs, mugs. Well, look at him.
• 32:19
He's hitting the buttons. Mugs, mugs. What if, what if I do this? Mugs. What if I hit this button? Do I do that? Dead. No. Not- Hey, now it's everybody. All right. Okay, everybody. Uh- All right, we did it. Oops...
• 32:29
uh, we'll be back next week. Hopefully we'll have a report from the November- Wait, wait, wait. We didn't talk about the-... Second Bike and Brew Tour... we didn't talk about the bike accident, Ed, outside of...
• 32:38
Or the- We did-... sad situation outside of Wiggle Room. We talked about it before the show. There's a GoFundMe for her. Um- This is another. We talked about Ivy last week, too. That's right, we did.
• 32:49
That's what made me- And Carl... click the link and stuff. Yeah. So, uh, yeah, we'll get that information in there, 'cause it's another... This was more of a street racing thing.
• 32:57
That was just- But she's still part of our people. Yeah. Tribe. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. She's our tribe. And I'm sorry, I... All right, we're gonna digress for just a second. And thank you, Jack White. Making...
• 33:06
M- yeah, exactly. 15 grandin'. Donating 15 grand to her. Yeah. Um, he's a, he's a good human being. Um, and a hell of a musician, but that's a whole other topic. Yeah. But the whole deal with that is, you know...
• 33:20
Uh, we're not gonna get into this right now. Get on your bike. I'm gonna get really crabby. Get on your bike. Well, we can do it- Yeah. That's a good way to look at it. Don't be a drag queen. Right.
• 33:26
We can do it next week. But also, motherfucking please do your job. Right. And also- I'm, that's just... Oh, we need-... we will have a GoFundMe... we need bump outs and, and, you know... No.
• 33:35
Do your [laughs] fucking jobs, people. Well, I can tell you what, some cars are getting smashed on that one on, uh, 3rd Street or whatever, right by, uh, sh- old Schlitz Park. The ramp? That one is a mother- Love it...
• 33:47
we can launch on that thing. Love it. Oh, is it? Good. Milton too. If you're coming down the hill, you can tabletop that thing on a cargo bike. It's so big. [laughs] So, just saying. And you know what? Cool. Yeah. Good.
• 33:59
Crash your car. Although you know what's gonna suck? Pay attention. Snow plows. Well- That's gonna be a terrible job... whatever. That's why I don't do that job. All right. Thank you very much. We did it again. Oops.
• 34:12
  Go vote. Yes. Jesus, yes.
• 34:16
