- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
- 0:05Speaker 1: We've talked a bunch about how people have whitewashed what
- 0:08Speaker 1: happened with Jeffrey Epstein for years and years and years.
- 0:12Speaker 1: And when I say people, I don't just mean individuals,
- 0:15Speaker 1: I'm talking about whole ass news stations. You see, when
- 0:19Speaker 1: I make these allegations, however, I show up with receipts.
- 0:23Speaker 1: And today's no different. We're going to talk about the
- 0:25Speaker 1: leaked tape and how ABC News killed an interview with
- 0:29Speaker 1: Virginia Roberts about Jeffrey Epstein. You want to talk about
- 0:33Speaker 1: conspiracy theories? You want to talk about people whitewashing the
- 0:37Speaker 1: story and trying to rewrite history? Well, all you have
- 0:41Speaker 1: to do is take a look at the legacy media,
- 0:43Speaker 1: and that's exactly what they've been doing for decades. So
- 0:47Speaker 1: let's get into this article from Vox, and let's take
- 0:50Speaker 1: a trip back to November 5th of 2019. And let's
- 0:55Speaker 1: see what sort of nonsense ABC was getting into. Headline.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Leaked tape. ABC News killed an interview with an accuser
- 1:04Speaker 1: of Jeffrey Epstein. The tape suggests that ABC News stopped
- 1:09Speaker 1: its own anchor from reporting on Epstein's crimes in order
- 1:12Speaker 1: to preserve access to the royal family. This article was
- 1:16Speaker 1: authored by Jane Koston. Now. Remember, this is coming on
- 1:22Speaker 1: the heels of what we just learned about Buckingham Palace
- 1:26Speaker 1: and Scotland Yard protecting Prince Andrew. Now, why would you
- 1:30Speaker 1: think any less of ABC trying to protect him, especially
- 1:34Speaker 1: considering they don't want to lose their access to the
- 1:37Speaker 1: royal family? Just look at how goo-goo people are for
- 1:39Speaker 1: the royal family. Just look at what's going on on
- 1:42Speaker 1: your TV. Now, don't get me wrong. It's a sad day.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Lady dies, 96 years old, country mourns. Great. Shouldn't be
- 1:50Speaker 1: my country. We shouldn't have this fixation with these royals,
- 1:55Speaker 1: with the monarchy, with the queen, with Prince Andrew, that
- 1:58Speaker 1: some people do. And I will never understand it. Hero
- 2:02Speaker 1: worship is very weird to me. But at these major
- 2:06Speaker 1: news stations, places like ABC, the last thing they want
- 2:10Speaker 1: to do is lose access to the royal family. And
- 2:13Speaker 1: even if that means quashing a story about one of
- 2:17Speaker 1: the most notorious sex traffickers of all time. Oh. Doesn't
- 2:22Speaker 1: ABC own Disney, by the way? News of Jeffrey Epstein's
- 2:27Speaker 1: alleged sexual assault and trafficking crimes involving his circle of
- 2:31Speaker 1: famous friends could have broken years earlier, but it was
- 2:34Speaker 1: quashed by television network executives, according to a video released
- 2:38Speaker 1: by a right-leaning activist group on Tuesday. In the video
- 2:43Speaker 1: obtained by Project Veritas, ABC News anchor Amy Robach complains
- 2:47Speaker 1: to a producer off-air that she had convinced one of
- 2:51Speaker 1: Epstein's survivors, Virginia Roberts, to speak on record about her
- 2:55Speaker 1: allegations against Epstein and others reportedly involved in Epstein's web
- 3:00Speaker 1: of sex trafficking, including former President Bill Clinton, attorney Alan Dershowitz,
- 3:06Speaker 1: and Prince Andrew. But, she continues, ABC refused to run
- 3:10Speaker 1: the story in order to keep access to the British
- 3:13Speaker 1: royal family. Now, again, when I get up here and
- 3:17Speaker 1: I rant about the legacy media, it's not just because
- 3:20Speaker 1: I feel like ranting about them or because I have
- 3:23Speaker 1: nothing else to talk about. They have been an incredible
- 3:27Speaker 1: impediment on the way to justice here. And you would
- 3:30Speaker 1: think it would be the reverse. You would think that
- 3:33Speaker 1: these news stations, these anchors, these journalists would be falling
- 3:36Speaker 1: over themselves to let these survivors get on air and
- 3:40Speaker 1: tell their story. But they weren't willing to do it.
- 3:43Speaker 1: And if it wasn't for social media, and if it
- 3:46Speaker 1: wasn't for the way that these survivors could go directly
- 3:49Speaker 1: to you, the people, their story would have never been told.
- 3:55Speaker 1: We would not put the Epstein story on air. First
- 3:58Speaker 1: of all, I was told, who's Jeffrey Epstein? No one
- 4:01Speaker 1: knows who that is. This is a stupid story, she
- 4:04Speaker 1: says on the tape. Then the palace found out that
- 4:06Speaker 1: we had our whole allegations about Prince Andrew and threatened
- 4:10Speaker 1: us a million different ways. So that's your great lady,
- 4:13Speaker 1: the queen. The palace threatened ABC a million different ways.
- 4:18Speaker 1: I'm so tired of hearing about the palace this, the
- 4:21Speaker 1: palace that. The Palace Vafangul. How about that? Run home
- 4:26Speaker 1: and tell that to the palace. You want to talk
- 4:28Speaker 1: about organized crime? But these people were busy protecting Andrew
- 4:34Speaker 1: at every turn. And his mother was busy enabling him.
- 4:39Speaker 1: And those are just the facts. Referring to Kate Middleton
- 4:44Speaker 1: and Prince William and the network's desire to interview the pair,
- 4:47Speaker 1: she said, we were so afraid we wouldn't be able
- 4:50Speaker 1: to interview Kate and Will that... We also quashed the story.
- 4:54Speaker 1: And she added, it was unbelievable what we had. Bill Clinton,
- 4:58Speaker 1: we had everything. I tried for three years to get
- 5:01Speaker 1: it on to no avail. And now it's all coming out.
- 5:04Speaker 1: And it's like these new revelations. And I freaking had
- 5:06Speaker 1: all of it. I'm so pissed right now. Every day
- 5:09Speaker 1: I get more and more pissed. What we had was unreal.
- 5:12Speaker 1: And this is Amy Robach from ABC News saying this
- 5:16Speaker 1: in her own words. So it's not even like they
- 5:18Speaker 1: can spin it. Roberts detailed her own disappointment with ABC
- 5:23Speaker 1: News' decision to kill the interview in August of this year.
- 5:26Speaker 1: In an email to NPR, she wrote, I view the
- 5:29Speaker 1: ABC interview as a potential game changer. Appearing on ABC
- 5:33Speaker 1: with its wide viewership would have been the first time
- 5:36Speaker 1: for me to speak out against the government for basically
- 5:38Speaker 1: looking the other way and to describe the anger and
- 5:41Speaker 1: betrayal survivors felt. So instead of giving Virginia Roberts a
- 5:47Speaker 1: platform to tell her story, ABC, ESPN, you know, the
- 5:51Speaker 1: whole caboodle of companies that fall under the umbrella, thought
- 5:56Speaker 1: it would be a better idea to safeguard their access
- 5:58Speaker 1: to the royal family. Now you tell me that ABC
- 6:02Speaker 1: or the legacy media should be trusted when we're talking
- 6:05Speaker 1: about this story. So where's NPR and their whole write-up
- 6:11Speaker 1: about how ABC quashed this story? You notice the narrative
- 6:16Speaker 1: that they try to preach, right? That they try and
- 6:18Speaker 1: spin to you. And that narrative is, this is all
- 6:20Speaker 1: a big conspiracy theory and only crazy people think anything
- 6:24Speaker 1: went wrong here. That's what they want you to think.
- 6:27Speaker 1: But the truth is that they've been whitewashing this the
- 6:31Speaker 1: whole entire time so that people don't get the full
- 6:34Speaker 1: scope of it. Appearing on ABC with its wide viewership
- 6:41Speaker 1: would have been the first time for me to speak
- 6:43Speaker 1: out against the government for basically looking the other way
- 6:47Speaker 1: and to describe the anger and betrayal survivors felt. Just
- 6:50Speaker 1: to reiterate that. That's what Virginia wanted to do. That
- 6:54Speaker 1: was her goal. She wanted to get on ABC and
- 6:57Speaker 1: reach a wider audience and tell her story. But instead,
- 7:01Speaker 1: ABC decided, let's quash it and we'll keep our access
- 7:04Speaker 1: to the Royals because that's more important. To hear about their...
- 7:08Speaker 1: ideas about the environment or for them to tell us
- 7:11Speaker 1: about tea and crumpets or about whatever the hell the
- 7:15Speaker 1: royals want to tell us about as if we should
- 7:17Speaker 1: care what they have to say In response to the
- 7:22Speaker 1: tape's release, ABC News released a statement from Robach in
- 7:26Speaker 1: which she appeared to backtrack on statements made in the
- 7:29Speaker 1: tape saying, as a journalist, as the Epstein story continued
- 7:32Speaker 1: to unfold last summer, I was caught in a private
- 7:34Speaker 1: moment of frustration. Adding that ABC News never told her
- 7:38Speaker 1: to stop reporting on the serial predator. I mean, for real,
- 7:42Speaker 1: talk about backtracking. Straight garbage. Absolute garbage. She knew that
- 7:47Speaker 1: they had the goods. She knew she was frustrated. And
- 7:49Speaker 1: instead of doing the right thing and pushing back against
- 7:53Speaker 1: the company, she was scared to lose her cushy ass
- 7:56Speaker 1: bazillion dollar job reading the teleprompter, right? Because that's what
- 7:59Speaker 1: she does. She's a teleprompter reader. These people aren't journalists.
- 8:05Speaker 1: The tape shows the extent of how Epstein's attachments to
- 8:07Speaker 1: the rich, famous, and powerful, his collection as he called
- 8:11Speaker 1: it in a 2002 interview, made it difficult for journalists
- 8:14Speaker 1: and others to investigate his crimes. As news agencies and
- 8:18Speaker 1: others were unwilling to risk the ire of royals and
- 8:21Speaker 1: politicians alike in order to learn just how many young
- 8:24Speaker 1: women Epstein and his allies abused. Now folks, remember, for
- 8:28Speaker 1: those of you who might think this is a skewered
- 8:30Speaker 1: article or it's biased, it's from Vox. How much more
- 8:35Speaker 1: to the left does it get than Vox News? And
- 8:38Speaker 1: they're telling you the same thing everybody else is telling you.
- 8:41Speaker 1: The legacy media was in on it. They whitewashed it.
- 8:45Speaker 1: They safeguarded Jeffrey Epstein and his reputation. And at the
- 8:49Speaker 1: same time, they denied the survivors a platform to tell
- 8:54Speaker 1: their story. What we know about Epstein and Prince Andrew...
- 9:02Speaker 1: As my colleague Anna North and I have detailed, the
- 9:04Speaker 1: serious allegations against Jeffrey Epstein, who died in August while
- 9:08Speaker 1: awaiting trial for sex trafficking, are coupled with questions about
- 9:12Speaker 1: how he was able to get away with abusing young
- 9:14Speaker 1: women again and again. The money manager was accused of
- 9:19Speaker 1: sexually abusing dozens of underage girls, bringing them to his
- 9:23Speaker 1: home for massages, during which he masturbated or had intercourse
- 9:26Speaker 1: with them. He was indicted in 2007, but as Julie K.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Brown reported at the Miami Herald, he ultimately just got
- 9:34Speaker 1: 13 months in a county jail thanks to a deal
- 9:36Speaker 1: signed by U.S. Attorney Alexander Acosta, who would later become
- 9:40Speaker 1: Secretary of Labor under President Trump. The allegations Robach was
- 9:45Speaker 1: allegedly attempting to report on back in 2015, center on
- 9:50Speaker 1: the testimony of Virginia Roberts, who at the age of
- 9:52Speaker 1: 15 was working as a towel girl at Mar-a-Lago Resort
- 9:56Speaker 1: when she says she was recruited by Epstein's co-conspirator. Ghislaine
- 10:00Speaker 1: Maxwell to begin giving massages to the money manager. As
- 10:06Speaker 1: reported by Politico in 2017, Roberts asserts in her complaint
- 10:10Speaker 1: that Maxwell, the sole defendant in the suit and the
- 10:13Speaker 1: daughter of late publishing magnate Robert Maxwell, routinely recruited underage
- 10:18Speaker 1: girls for Epstein and was doing so when she approached
- 10:21Speaker 1: the $ 9 an hour locker room attendant at Mar-a-Lago in
- 10:26Speaker 1: 1999 about giving massages to the wealthy investment banker. Now,
- 10:30Speaker 1: this was the M.O. of Glenn Maxwell. She would approach
- 10:33Speaker 1: these girls in different settings, schools, whatever it was, and
- 10:37Speaker 1: try and recruit them for Epstein's disgusting, dastardly behavior. According
- 10:45Speaker 1: to Roberts, those massages turned into severe sexual abuse and trafficking.
- 10:50Speaker 1: As Roberts has alleged in court filings that, as the
- 10:53Speaker 1: New Yorker detailed in August of this year, Epstein lent
- 10:56Speaker 1: her out to sex for his friends. Those friends allegedly
- 11:00Speaker 1: include well-known attorney Alan Dershowitz, one of Epstein's attorneys, who
- 11:04Speaker 1: helped the serial predator get a sweetheart deal from prosecutors.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Robert sued Dershowitz in April of this year after Dershowitz
- 11:12Speaker 1: accused her of lying about his alleged abuse. And according
- 11:15Speaker 1: to NPR, it was a call from Dershowitz that allegedly
- 11:19Speaker 1: may have led to ABC News quashing the story. So again, folks,
- 11:23Speaker 1: I ask you, why is ABC News so scared of
- 11:26Speaker 1: people like Epstein? Why are they scared of people like Dershowitz?
- 11:31Speaker 1: If you have the goods and you're reporting correctly, you
- 11:34Speaker 1: shouldn't be worried about anything. But the allegations noted in
- 11:39Speaker 1: the news tapes also reference Prince Andrew, the Duke of York,
- 11:43Speaker 1: the third child of Queen Elizabeth II, and longtime friend
- 11:47Speaker 1: of Epstein. Epstein and Andrew were so close that the
- 11:51Speaker 1: Duke arranged for Epstein to help pay off $ 15, 000 in
- 11:55Speaker 1: debts owed to a former personal assistant of Prince Andrew's
- 11:58Speaker 1: former wife, Sarah Footie Ferguson. an arrangement that took place
- 12:02Speaker 1: several years after Epstein was already a convicted sex offender.
- 12:06Speaker 1: So Prince Andrew took money from Jeffrey Epstein, which was
- 12:09Speaker 1: probably ill-gotten gains, so if this was a RICO case,
- 12:13Speaker 1: he'd get caught up in it, right? You wonder why
- 12:15Speaker 1: it's not a RICO case. Well, all of the evidence
- 12:18Speaker 1: is right here on the wall for you. In 2011,
- 12:24Speaker 1: Ferguson admitted to the arrangement, telling the Daily Telegraph, I
- 12:28Speaker 1: am just so contrite, I cannot say. Whenever I can,
- 12:32Speaker 1: I will repay the money and will have nothing ever
- 12:34Speaker 1: to do with Jeffrey Epstein ever again. Always the story, right?
- 12:38Speaker 1: But you took the money when he was already a
- 12:40Speaker 1: convicted sex offender. According to claims made by Roberts in
- 12:46Speaker 1: court proceedings and elsewhere, Epstein forced her to have sex
- 12:49Speaker 1: with Prince Andrew on multiple occasions in New York, London,
- 12:53Speaker 1: and on Epstein's private island, Little St. James, while Roberts
- 12:56Speaker 1: was underage. And while Prince Andrew has denied the allegations,
- 13:00Speaker 1: flight logs released in 2015 backed up Roberts' claims, and
- 13:05Speaker 1: the Duke and Roberts were photographed together, those supporters of
- 13:08Speaker 1: Andrew say the photograph is fake. I mean, for real,
- 13:11Speaker 1: if that photograph is fake, I'm 16 feet tall, and
- 13:15Speaker 1: I'm a giant who lives beyond the wall in Westeros.
- 13:20Speaker 1: As detailed by NPR in August, Robach and her colleague
- 13:23Speaker 1: Jim Hill spoke to Roberts at length about her allegations
- 13:27Speaker 1: against Epstein, Dershowitz, and Prince Andrew. In 2015, the ABC
- 13:33Speaker 1: News team of Amy Robach and Jim Hill secured an
- 13:36Speaker 1: interview with Roberts. In a sequence of events confirmed by
- 13:39Speaker 1: the network, producers paid for Roberts and her family to
- 13:42Speaker 1: fly from Colorado, where they live, to New York City
- 13:46Speaker 1: and put them up at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel on Central
- 13:49Speaker 1: Park South. Roebuck and her news crew interviewed Roberts on
- 13:53Speaker 1: tape for more than an hour about Epstein and his entourage.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Imagine going through all of this and then quashing it?
- 14:00Speaker 1: Just sitting on the interview, destroying it? At the time
- 14:05Speaker 1: in 2015, Epstein was walking around a free man comparing
- 14:09Speaker 1: his criminal behavior to stealing a bagel, Roberts writes in
- 14:12Speaker 1: an email to NPR. I really wanted a spotlight shown
- 14:15Speaker 1: on him and the others who acted with him and
- 14:17Speaker 1: enabled his vile and shameless conduct against young girls and
- 14:21Speaker 1: young women. But ABC couldn't be bothered to do that.
- 14:24Speaker 1: They were way too busy doing whatever it is they
- 14:26Speaker 1: were doing. We're just getting started. The group that released
- 14:33Speaker 1: the tape, Project Veritas, targets news organizations and left-leaning groups
- 14:38Speaker 1: by secretly filming or recording them and occasionally deceiving them
- 14:43Speaker 1: in order to capture members of those entities taking part
- 14:45Speaker 1: in illegal, abusive, or bad behavior in order to expose corruption. Look,
- 14:51Speaker 1: if you're going to do that, I say go for it.
- 14:53Speaker 1: As long as you're not breaking any laws while you
- 14:55Speaker 1: do it, you're well within your scope as a journalist
- 14:59Speaker 1: or an investigative reporter. Founded by James O'Keefe in 2010,
- 15:03Speaker 1: the controversial group has been credited by right-leaning observers for
- 15:07Speaker 1: his efforts to take part in undercover journalism, but it
- 15:11Speaker 1: gained national and unwanted attention in 2017, attempting to sell
- 15:16Speaker 1: the Washington Post on blatantly false allegations against sexual assault
- 15:21Speaker 1: in an effort to prove the allegations of misconduct against
- 15:24Speaker 1: failed Alabama candidate Roy Moore were equally fake. It did
- 15:30Speaker 1: not work. Alright, whatever. Who cares about all of that?
- 15:33Speaker 1: But the ABC News tape differs in a number of
- 15:35Speaker 1: important ways. The tape was not created by surreptitious recording
- 15:40Speaker 1: by a Project Veritas member. Rather, the recording was obtained
- 15:43Speaker 1: and leaked by the group to the public. And the
- 15:46Speaker 1: network itself has not denied the tape is legitimate or
- 15:49Speaker 1: claimed it was falsely edited, which Project Veritas has done
- 15:53Speaker 1: in the past. And that's why I thought that this
- 15:55Speaker 1: tape was... better than some of the other stuff that
- 15:58Speaker 1: they released. It was just a pure tape from ABC
- 16:01Speaker 1: News that was leaked. So it wasn't like an altered
- 16:04Speaker 1: tape where there was editing or anything like that. And
- 16:09Speaker 1: O'Keefe told me that there was more to come from ABC.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I believe the ABC tape speaks for itself. However, I
- 16:16Speaker 1: can tell you that we recently obtained the tape from
- 16:19Speaker 1: our newest network insider, he said in an email. This
- 16:21Speaker 1: person is still on the inside of ABC News, so
- 16:25Speaker 1: we're just getting started. I mentioned this earlier in some
- 16:29Speaker 1: of our episodes about how ABC News quashed this story.
- 16:33Speaker 1: So I figured we'd go back and revisit it and
- 16:35Speaker 1: get a full contextual episode about what went down. So
- 16:40Speaker 1: you could see for yourself how ABC News sat on
- 16:43Speaker 1: this story in 2015. And then the crazy part is
- 16:46Speaker 1: we know Epstein was still abusing people throughout that whole
- 16:49Speaker 1: time period. So could the story at ABC News have
- 16:53Speaker 1: led to this being broken earlier? We know that Julie K.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Brown's reporting prompted the police into action. The question is,
- 17:02Speaker 1: would have ABC's story that they quashed have done the same?
- 17:07Speaker 1: If you'd like to contact me, you can do that
- 17:09Speaker 1: at bobbycapucci at protonmail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at protonmail.com. You can

- 17:25Speaker 1: link that I discussed can be found in the description box.
