- 1:41Speaker 7: I was really saying that for y'all. I'm excited for
- 1:43Speaker 7: y'all's weekend. I got a little work trip tomorrow. So usually,
- 1:46Speaker 7: you know, figuring out this real quick on the first
- 1:50Speaker 7: month of the job, you know, this new gig and
- 1:54Speaker 7: figuring out you got to get catch up on your
- 1:55Speaker 7: sleep on the weekend. Not this weekend for you, boy,
- 1:58Speaker 7: this weekend work trip. But this was the trip. I
- 2:02Speaker 7: know y'all made fun of me before in May, before
- 2:05Speaker 7: we started the show. How starting a new job taking
- 2:08Speaker 7: two weeks off the first month, move some stuff around.
- 2:11Speaker 7: I was supposed to be out about three days this week.
- 2:13Speaker 7: You were, no, sir, committed, committed to the game.
- 2:20Speaker 8: So you're not going to take time off then?
- 2:21Speaker 9: No, No, I'm supposed to be right now. Damn, that's
- 2:26Speaker 9: what's up, Fox, Fox all. We moved it due sacrifice
- 2:30Speaker 9: and that's sleep. This weekend going to be in and out.
- 2:34Speaker 2: So Monday, Monday, this really is a wolf pack, that's right.
- 2:39Speaker 4: Yeah, So Monday's gonna be a toughie. We'll get through
- 2:43Speaker 4: it together.
- 2:44Speaker 7: And I got one of those situations where taking a
- 2:47Speaker 7: flight Sunday night, coming back, so I'll keep you updated. Nope,
- 2:56Speaker 7: I'm in Orlando too, So it's like it's not one
- 2:58Speaker 7: of those places you can just like only flights canceled.
- 3:02Speaker 5: Man, let me just get a car and drive back.
- 3:04Speaker 4: I could.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Yeah, a lot of people drive to Orlando, but they're
- 3:07Speaker 2: trying to go to like the Disney right, You're trying
- 3:09Speaker 2: to get back to work, not as not as maybe
- 3:12Speaker 2: motivated as you know when the the mouse is.
- 3:15Speaker 7: The this situation, there was this one time our rookie
- 3:20Speaker 7: year and in GB two thousand and eight, we're flying
- 3:25Speaker 7: up there and and all this all those rookies we're
- 3:27Speaker 7: going we're going to training camp. But it was either
- 3:29Speaker 7: mini camp or training camp. We were flying. We were
- 3:31Speaker 7: out of town, flying back to So they booked your
- 3:34Speaker 7: flights for like the day before you're supposed to report,
- 3:38Speaker 7: and there's probably like twelve of us. And back in
- 3:42Speaker 7: the day you had to go there was no direct
- 3:45Speaker 7: flight from an Atlanta to Green Bay, so you had
- 3:49Speaker 7: to go like.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Back, confirm has someone who flew into Green Bay? Appleton
- 3:54Speaker 2: this last spring. Not a lot of options.
- 3:56Speaker 5: Yeah, that's not there's way more now than there used
- 3:58Speaker 5: to be.
- 3:59Speaker 7: When I first couple of years there, it was I
- 4:00Speaker 7: had to go baton Rouge to Atlanta, Atlanta to Detroit,
- 4:05Speaker 7: Detroit to Green Bay.
- 4:07Speaker 5: So at that.
- 4:08Speaker 7: Point we get there and it's like nine Our flight
- 4:11Speaker 7: from Atlanta to Detroit was delayed.
- 4:16Speaker 4: So we get there. We land in Detroit and it's
- 4:18Speaker 4: like twelve minutes.
- 4:19Speaker 7: To take off or whatever. So we're all running, hauling ass.
- 4:23Speaker 7: We get there. They had just closed it. They had
- 4:26Speaker 7: just closed the door to the plane. They're like, sorry, yeah,
- 4:29Speaker 7: next flights tomorrow. We're like, well, what, nobody here has
- 4:34Speaker 7: a guaranteed spot on this roster so.
- 4:37Speaker 4: Well as a seventh round pick. Yeah, selected a quarterback
- 4:41Speaker 4: in the second round. You're probably like.
- 4:43Speaker 5: Yeah, we uh.
- 4:44Speaker 7: We had to end up renting a couple of cars
- 4:47Speaker 7: and driving driving from Detroit to Green Bay.
- 4:51Speaker 4: How long is that?
- 4:51Speaker 5: I don't remember.
- 4:53Speaker 4: Longer than you want it to be, Okay, longer than
- 4:56Speaker 4: that flight was. Yeah, that's very fair. You made it, though, we.
- 4:59Speaker 5: Made it and.
- 5:02Speaker 4: Made the team. Not all of them did, oh wow,
- 5:07Speaker 4: not all of them in that car.
- 5:08Speaker 7: Dad's yeah, alright, yeah, that's that will not be me
- 5:13Speaker 7: Sunday just a little sidebar.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Yeah no, and you'll you'll drive, you'll take an airboat
- 5:17Speaker 2: here in the Gulf of America if you have, If.
- 5:19Speaker 6: You'll, I'm sorry, if you'll open YouTube up this morning.
- 5:22Speaker 6: I know everybody's user names are completely different. Ours to
- 5:26Speaker 6: hold on week you figure out what the hell I'm at.
- 5:28Speaker 6: Taylor Sharp sixty ten is mine? Like I don't know,
- 5:32Speaker 6: Alandras is different, Like I'm trying to figure out what's going.
- 5:34Speaker 4: On on, Like freight train thirteen. That'd be cool. That
- 5:39Speaker 4: was my that was my aim name. I'm very confused.
- 5:43Speaker 2: I have not opened it up yet. I'm about to
- 5:44Speaker 2: do it right now. I'm kind of excited. It's like
- 5:45Speaker 2: a little spin of the wheel. See what your name is?
- 5:48Speaker 4: Oh you can. Everybody's name's the same.
- 5:50Speaker 6: It's just an at sign and then random numbers behind it.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Anyways, you need to pull up Alandra, how are we
- 5:56Speaker 2: doing doing well?
- 5:59Speaker 4: Where you go this weekend?
- 6:02Speaker 10: A weekend where I'm not doing anything. Finally, that was
- 6:06Speaker 10: just kind of bad timing, I guess, but.
- 6:08Speaker 8: So do y'all.
- 6:09Speaker 10: Remember when t Bob was last year and he was
- 6:13Speaker 10: packing all his stuff up. Yeah, and he took my
- 6:15Speaker 10: head yes, and he took my headphones with him.
- 6:19Speaker 8: And this entire time I was blaming myself. I just
- 6:21Speaker 8: thought of this this morning. I was blaming myself.
- 6:24Speaker 10: Right, because yeah, yeah, I was like, that's on me.
- 6:27Speaker 8: I put him on his desk.
- 6:28Speaker 10: He probably thought they were his and like threw him
- 6:31Speaker 10: in the box, right, And then I just remember.
- 6:34Speaker 8: That we talked about it this weekend.
- 6:36Speaker 10: I was like, dude, I just saw Caitlin like last
- 6:40Speaker 10: week or whatever, and he was like, yeah, the headphones.
- 6:42Speaker 8: I'm really glad you got them back.
- 6:43Speaker 10: And I was like, yeah, that was totally on me,
- 6:45Speaker 10: Like I left them on the desk while you were packing.
- 6:48Speaker 10: He was like, actually, I saw an extra pair of
- 6:51Speaker 10: headphones and I just put him in there. I'm not
- 6:55Speaker 10: actually on you.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Yes.
- 6:58Speaker 10: I was like, okay, so you let me think this
- 7:00Speaker 10: this entire time until just now.
- 7:03Speaker 8: This whole time I was blaming myself.
- 7:05Speaker 2: I was.
- 7:09Speaker 4: He took him on purpose, just a little gift for
- 7:15Speaker 4: time served. Yeah exactly.
- 7:19Speaker 10: But yeah, I know, feeling good at anyways because I
- 7:22Speaker 10: left them again on that same when I was talking
- 7:24Speaker 10: to y'all yesterday, and so it made me think of that.
- 7:27Speaker 10: When I was to grab them this morning, I was like,
- 7:30Speaker 10: man freaking t bop.
- 7:32Speaker 2: I felt real professional. Yesterday we got a lot of
- 7:34Speaker 2: stuff done. We sat at a desk, had a conference call,
- 7:37Speaker 2: talked about the future, did a commercial talking about.
- 7:44Speaker 6: I still got to email that commercial things for the
- 7:46Speaker 6: reminder whoa.
- 7:49Speaker 8: Yesterday?
- 7:50Speaker 4: Didn't they That was the other one yesterday?
- 7:53Speaker 5: I emailed that one.
- 7:54Speaker 4: Wow, look at us. You can never say we're.
- 7:57Speaker 7: Not radio pros. I mean, you kidding me? A month
- 8:00Speaker 7: on the job, we're doing?
- 8:01Speaker 4: I mean, how we doing? Besides being a little tired, Boy,
- 8:06Speaker 4: are we good? You're good?
- 8:08Speaker 5: Just found the energy.
- 8:09Speaker 2: I don't know what happened, okay, I think we started
- 8:11Speaker 2: talking about NOAs and your ears pert a.
- 8:13Speaker 6: Little bit, actually breaking a little sweat now.
- 8:15Speaker 2: A little excited a lot and bothered, ready to go
- 8:18Speaker 2: fair enough.
- 8:18Speaker 4: It's at fire intro to this show. It kind of
- 8:22Speaker 4: just like juices me up.
- 8:23Speaker 2: I love that do like the announcer whenever you complete
- 8:27Speaker 2: the past to bird was.
- 8:29Speaker 4: Like boom, I like that good one.
- 8:31Speaker 5: It's a good drop.
- 8:32Speaker 8: I gotta be honest.
- 8:33Speaker 10: I kind of like it better than the sabotage one.
- 8:36Speaker 4: I know, I can't get it a sabotage.
- 8:38Speaker 8: I know, I'm not. I don't want to get rid
- 8:39Speaker 8: of it. I love it, but I.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Kind of like it, Like, wait, is it just the
- 8:43Speaker 2: music that's.
- 8:43Speaker 8: Different and the and the like words that she's seen?
- 8:48Speaker 8: But I think the highlights are the same.
- 8:50Speaker 4: Oh, okay, I got you.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Big voice lady, A big voice lady from I don't know,
- 8:57Speaker 2: acting like number seven.
- 8:58Speaker 4: In the country.
- 8:58Speaker 8: Did I not send y'all the right? Did I not?
- 9:01Speaker 8: Did not send y'all her Instagram?
- 9:03Speaker 5: Local?
- 9:03Speaker 8: No, she's like in l a yeah, something like that.
- 9:06Speaker 10: I thought I say y'all her Instagram because she's like
- 9:08Speaker 10: her I G is very interesting.
- 9:11Speaker 4: And she goes by Ice naturally, who doesn't.
- 9:15Speaker 8: And she was on what's the game show?
- 9:20Speaker 2: That?
- 9:21Speaker 8: What's his name?
- 9:22Speaker 4: Oh, you're doing great?
- 9:23Speaker 5: You're doing great exactly? What's his name?
- 9:28Speaker 8: Brady? Yes, So she was on that show too. She
- 9:33Speaker 8: called No, she was like a participant on it.
- 9:37Speaker 10: But she she does do like a bunch of she's
- 9:39Speaker 10: a DJ also, so and she goes by Ice.
- 9:43Speaker 7: Like. My thoughts are this, we couldn't find someone in Louisiana. Actually,
- 9:48Speaker 7: I felt like we should have auditions like fairness.
- 9:50Speaker 6: I don't think the voice. Guy was from here either, Yeah,
- 9:53Speaker 6: just like so we.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Should have auditions like Elana, you noticed way better than
- 9:57Speaker 2: anybody else. So Matt wants everybody's voice to be consistent,
- 10:02Speaker 2: Like you want it?
- 10:02Speaker 4: Okay, I got it.
- 10:05Speaker 2: I got a friend can add that I really think
- 10:08Speaker 2: would crush it. Shane West, You'll know hi when you
- 10:14Speaker 2: see him.
- 10:14Speaker 4: Don't worry.
- 10:15Speaker 8: You don't like him, you know my my wheels were.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Turned into But he's got agreeable. He's done hype videos
- 10:19Speaker 2: for l s U in the foot let's go. So
- 10:21Speaker 2: I'm like, if we can get him to do our
- 10:23Speaker 2: show and we stand alone, but we might get shut
- 10:27Speaker 2: down because they want the same big voice on every show.
- 10:31Speaker 8: Sure, I mean it doesn't hurt.
- 10:33Speaker 4: To ask Louisiana channel. We should probably have.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a that's the angle that way he's from
- 10:40Speaker 2: He's from Louisiana right here.
- 10:43Speaker 8: We want to be local.
- 10:45Speaker 2: And then I got to say, if Matt pushes back,
- 10:48Speaker 2: we can you hate Louisiana.
- 10:49Speaker 4: That's weird. Uh huh, wow, I like this.
- 10:54Speaker 8: He's also on vacation, so we could just change it.
- 10:56Speaker 10: All well, and what is it asked for?
- 10:59Speaker 8: Forgiven? Not permission?
- 11:01Speaker 4: Exactly?
- 11:02Speaker 5: All right, we get it. Matt. You saw the LA
- 11:04Speaker 5: you thought it meant Louisiana, but it doesn't.
- 11:07Speaker 4: Could mean lower Alabama.
- 11:08Speaker 5: It's a left coaster.
- 11:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm really liking this.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Moscone is a left coaster who hates Louisiana, who doesn't
- 11:16Speaker 2: want us to be unique.
- 11:18Speaker 6: By the way, Wow, I appreciated it. You sound a
- 11:21Speaker 6: country as hell saying left coaster that way.
- 11:26Speaker 5: You gotta put a little plank to it when you.
- 11:28Speaker 4: Left coast man.

- 17:03Speaker 2: on the Ponderosa and we start talking about videos that
- 17:06Speaker 2: maybe it was Mondays. We talked videos and like voices
- 17:10Speaker 2: and like who's gonna narrate this video? And in that
- 17:13Speaker 2: process like it was okay, the music rell out up

- 18:03Speaker 5: Huh?
- 18:05Speaker 2: I did Flora twenty seventeen, maybe something like that, Like
- 18:10Speaker 2: it's been a while you've done one.
- 18:11Speaker 7: I want to say I did one in twenty nineteen.
- 18:13Speaker 7: I did one, and talk about like kind of being
- 18:16Speaker 7: awkward doing those things because you just have to record
- 18:18Speaker 7: it in your phone, like in your closet of your house. Really, Yeah,
- 18:21Speaker 7: that's all I could have come up here and done it.
- 18:23Speaker 7: I should have, but I you know, obviously I didn't.
- 18:25Speaker 7: But I was talking. I was talking to them. They're like,
- 18:27Speaker 7: all right, they I would send them the record and
- 18:29Speaker 7: they're like, all right, do like and inflect this part
- 18:31Speaker 7: a little bit different. Yeah, I'll just send the closet
- 18:33Speaker 7: at my house. Talking to my phone, my kids are like, Dad, son.
- 18:41Speaker 8: Like the background, like the background of the video.
- 18:44Speaker 4: You just hear Dad scratch it at the door.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Yeah, they need to let t TV do one this year, dude,
- 18:51Speaker 2: I'll do the Florida game that's early this year too.
- 18:53Speaker 8: I don't know they kill you girl ever done one?
- 18:56Speaker 4: Oh yeah, he did it. I know Kaylie Hartong's done one.
- 19:01Speaker 4: She did one in twenty nineteen.
- 19:02Speaker 8: I know that for I feel like that would be
- 19:04Speaker 8: so cool.
- 19:04Speaker 4: So so tm O TV do it. We'll direct each
- 19:08Speaker 4: other like, hey, that suck. You need to do that again? Yeah?
- 19:11Speaker 4: Should we write it? We should write it ourselves. I
- 19:12Speaker 4: don't know that they want you writing. There'd be too much,
- 19:15Speaker 4: too many curse words. If it was Florida week. I
- 19:16Speaker 4: don't think they care about that.
- 19:19Speaker 5: I mean a little bit. I don't know.
- 19:21Speaker 4: If I've heard one with it. It does it matter.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Probably not like one of the cuss words we can
- 19:26Speaker 2: say here, if we can say it here on Oh
- 19:28Speaker 2: Yeah Radio in a hype video, I'm not saying.
- 19:30Speaker 4: We're out there, you know, don't celebrate it.
- 19:34Speaker 5: It's uh, it's Florida week.
- 19:35Speaker 6: Though some worried about one of you pulling the h
- 19:37Speaker 6: left g yeah, saying when I was a captain who.
- 19:44Speaker 4: Jayden's last year when we beat Alabama.
- 19:46Speaker 7: So I was a I was a guest captain and
- 19:48Speaker 7: at that time, like the guest captains at the p
- 19:50Speaker 7: MAC beforehand at the l Club and like the big
- 19:52Speaker 7: where the band goes and plays at the PC before
- 19:54Speaker 7: the game, like all the test captains had to speak
- 19:58Speaker 7: like microphone, like give a hype video. And it was me,
- 20:00Speaker 7: I can't remember who, it was, me Whitworth and somebody else.
- 20:02Speaker 7: We were the captains and like it's Alabama. The juices
- 20:06Speaker 7: are flowing, jay It's everything's going crazy. So I get
- 20:12Speaker 7: there and so it's we're there and a lot of tailgating, Yeah,
- 20:17Speaker 7: a lot of feeling good, a lot of juices flowing
- 20:21Speaker 7: from you know, spirits to intensity. And your boy gets
- 20:26Speaker 7: the mic and I'm definitely cursed, definitely, and the p
- 20:29Speaker 7: MAC with all the children and the p MAC.
- 20:32Speaker 5: No f bombs or anything, but I was fired up.
- 20:35Speaker 5: I think I got the juices flowing.
- 20:36Speaker 11: Though.
- 20:37Speaker 2: Did you say something that would have gotten you kicked
- 20:39Speaker 2: out of a College World Series game?
- 20:41Speaker 11: No?
- 20:42Speaker 4: No, no, no, okay, no, it was all good. It
- 20:44Speaker 4: was all it was pleasant.
- 20:45Speaker 5: It's just intense.
- 20:46Speaker 4: Yeah, it's what everybody everyone was thinking. I don't know,
- 20:49Speaker 4: I don't. I think I've been to captain once.
- 20:51Speaker 5: It was me.
- 20:52Speaker 4: I think it was me, Dick Dixon and Benny Logan.
- 20:56Speaker 4: I think it was twenty I think twenty seven team Florida,
- 21:00Speaker 4: maybe something twenty eighteen. I don't know. He goes Florida.
- 21:03Speaker 2: So they had the all the eighteens kind of came back.
- 21:06Speaker 2: I was been twenty eighteen because it was like an
- 21:08Speaker 2: a that was the year eighteen.
- 21:11Speaker 7: Since Yeah, yep, that would make sense. Like what was
- 21:13Speaker 7: that every home game the eighteens were coming back?
- 21:15Speaker 2: No, but there was one game that we all came
- 21:18Speaker 2: back trying I'm at it remembering which game it was,
- 21:21Speaker 2: but we all came back and then me, Vinnie Logan,
- 21:24Speaker 2: and Dig Dixon were the captains.
- 21:26Speaker 4: Yeah, that's fun. I've been. Let's say, didn't you wear
- 21:30Speaker 4: a Gator hater shirt. I wear a Gator hater shirt.
- 21:33Speaker 4: So on the field to the fifty yards line.
- 21:35Speaker 7: Yeah, I've been I've been guest captain three times now
- 21:39Speaker 7: and proud to say three and oh three and O's captain.
- 21:43Speaker 7: Some say, you know, I could have a pretty big
- 21:45Speaker 7: hand in that. Let's see, it was two thousand seventeen Auburn, right,
- 21:52Speaker 7: we were, we were both guest captains there because that
- 21:55Speaker 7: was our tenure reunion. Oh yeah, okay, yeah, right, there
- 21:58Speaker 7: was a I might may have been four times in
- 22:00Speaker 7: because there was a Florida game, but the Alabama game
- 22:03Speaker 7: and it was a twenty two I.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Know for sure that overtime game because I have a
- 22:06Speaker 2: picture of you in the locker room and the Gator
- 22:09Speaker 2: hater shirt on with a beverage in your hand.
- 22:11Speaker 7: Yeah okay, so then I'm then it's been four times
- 22:13Speaker 7: then so four and oh so let's see, was was
- 22:17Speaker 7: it twenty two Alabama overtime?
- 22:19Speaker 4: That twenty three?
- 22:22Speaker 5: It was twenty two, so yeah it was.
- 22:24Speaker 4: Yeah, there we go, Kelly, twenty three we went to Alabama. Yeah, okay,
- 22:28Speaker 4: so twenty two my fault, my fault.
- 22:30Speaker 5: Yeah, So I was guess captain at twenty two, and
- 22:31Speaker 5: then I was this past year against All Miss.
- 22:38Speaker 4: Oh you were this against All Miss Yeah, done every
- 22:44Speaker 4: time underdogs, Baby, we're gonna need you. How mean home games?
- 22:48Speaker 5: We got.
- 22:51Speaker 4: Seven?
- 22:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I was gonna say seven times you go out there.
- 22:55Speaker 2: It's gonna be a little repetitive, but we're gonna need you,
- 22:58Speaker 2: gonna need you go out Well.
- 22:59Speaker 7: I think they've they all always try to have like
- 23:00Speaker 7: some sort of theme usually to it. So usually try
- 23:03Speaker 7: to bring back old quarterbacks. Right, they've tried to get
- 23:05Speaker 7: all the national championship quarterbacks together for one like to
- 23:09Speaker 7: be captains at once.
- 23:10Speaker 4: It's kind of hard, Warren rab you, Mack Brow.
- 23:13Speaker 7: Yeah, it's kind of hard to work around burrow schedule
- 23:15Speaker 7: a little bit. You know, he's kind of doing stuff
- 23:17Speaker 7: on the weekends some days. But we've got let's see.
- 23:23Speaker 7: It was so as me and Warren rabbed his past year. Yeah,
- 23:27Speaker 7: mock couldn't come, but a mock could come to do it.
- 23:31Speaker 4: Cleaning teeth, cleaning teeth, Matt flossing people. What are you
- 23:36Speaker 4: doing here? He's a team Dennis for the Broncos, if
- 23:39Speaker 4: you don't know, doing okay for himself.
- 23:44Speaker 7: When we come back, someone said in the chat wise
- 23:46Speaker 7: Matt's head just floating in the studio.
- 23:49Speaker 5: I got a cameo shirt on. You get it.
- 23:53Speaker 2: When we come back, I want to give you like
- 23:56Speaker 2: a schedule of kind of what's going on right now.
- 24:00Speaker 2: And cause we're look, we're talking football, playing a football
- 24:02Speaker 2: highlight tape. I want to talk about a schedule like
- 24:04Speaker 2: of what it is right now for these players, kind
- 24:07Speaker 2: of what they're going through, what their day to day is,
- 24:09Speaker 2: is they get ready to take on Clemson. It's going
- 24:12Speaker 2: to be a little bit different in college football than
- 24:15Speaker 2: it is in the NFL. In the NFL, it's certainly,
- 24:18Speaker 2: you know, kind of relaxed right now. You don't have
- 24:19Speaker 2: a whole lot going on. Sometimes people aren't even there
- 24:22Speaker 2: training yet with the team. It's not the case in college.
- 24:25Speaker 2: So we'll kind of give you a behind the scenes
- 24:27Speaker 2: look of what they're going through right now. We'll do
- 24:29Speaker 2: that when we come back here on O TV. Off
- 24:33Speaker 2: the bench, all right, go to Central Plumbing dot org.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Central Plumbing dot org is the website. Not only in
- 24:41Speaker 2: Central though, we're talking the greater Baton Rouge area. If

- 24:58Speaker 2: go tankless with a tankless water heater, they can help
- 25:01Speaker 2: you out. You call that same number two two five

- 25:22Speaker 7: runs out. Got three kids, they can all take showers,
- 25:24Speaker 7: we can do the dishes. Whatever it is. That water
- 25:27Speaker 7: never stops. That hot water keep on coming. Go see

- 25:32Speaker 7: Central plumbing dot Org.
- 25:49Speaker 4: Like the legend of the thing all ends with the beginning.
- 25:57Speaker 1: What keeps the planet sending ers turn talkers. This is
- 26:02Speaker 1: off the bench, come to far.
- 26:20Speaker 8: To she's a phone nights to get on my phone
- 26:26Speaker 8: night to get.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Some she's a phone fun.
- 26:31Speaker 2: All right, welcome back, getting O TV one four fives
- 26:33Speaker 2: fan baton room right now is a key part of
- 26:40Speaker 2: any team trying to get ready to go make a run.
- 26:44Speaker 2: It is the summertime. It is summer workouts. It is when,
- 26:48Speaker 2: in my belief, the team comes together or they do not.
- 26:53Speaker 2: It is all ball all the time. You're taking like
- 26:56Speaker 2: unless you're flitting drop out of it. You're taking like
- 26:59Speaker 2: a summer class. It was a winter session that was
- 27:02Speaker 2: just a little stray.
- 27:03Speaker 4: I apologize, opped out of plenty of summer school classes.
- 27:05Speaker 2: If you're taking summer session. Look, you got a little
- 27:09Speaker 2: bit of school going on right now. Some guys aren't
- 27:10Speaker 2: even taking it. I mean it's not something that's in
- 27:13Speaker 2: absolutes or anything, but most guys are taking like one
- 27:16Speaker 2: little you know, summer session class.
- 27:18Speaker 4: But it's all about football.
- 27:20Speaker 2: And it is about how can we get better individually
- 27:23Speaker 2: and also as a team. And it was really it's
- 27:27Speaker 2: the only time that it's pro like because you're at
- 27:29Speaker 2: the facility all the time, Like you're not be bopping
- 27:32Speaker 2: around going back and forth, going to school, going to class,
- 27:34Speaker 2: going to different things. Like you are integrated in the
- 27:37Speaker 2: football operations building, and you get a chance and certainly
- 27:42Speaker 2: like for Flynn being quarterback, like he gets like the
- 27:44Speaker 2: ultimate chance to kind of bring everybody together.
- 27:47Speaker 4: It was always my favorite time. Now was it easy?
- 27:49Speaker 2: No?
- 27:50Speaker 4: Was it fun? Not really?
- 27:52Speaker 2: But you knew what you were doing and you knew
- 27:54Speaker 2: what you wanted to try to get accomplished. And so
- 27:56Speaker 2: like that's what's going on right now. And I told
- 27:58Speaker 2: y'all the other day, they're not shying away from it
- 28:01Speaker 2: being clemson opening game of the season, knowing they've gone
- 28:05Speaker 2: over their last five Like there's messages of going one
- 28:09Speaker 2: and oh all over the place where I don't remember
- 28:11Speaker 2: seeing that in years past, and so they're attacking it
- 28:14Speaker 2: a little bit differently. Uh, you know, if you are
- 28:17Speaker 2: a late riser, you're running at four o'clock in the afternoon,
- 28:22Speaker 2: I don't even know if that's.
- 28:23Speaker 7: We would have not struggled anymore, but in this day
- 28:25Speaker 7: and age, we would have struggled a little bit because
- 28:27Speaker 7: they're practice practiced in the morning.
- 28:29Speaker 4: Yeah we were, you know, we were.
- 28:31Speaker 7: We were afternoon worker outers, buddy, and but we never
- 28:35Speaker 7: had practice in the morning. I love their schedule now
- 28:38Speaker 7: they as an adult, like is amazing because they get
- 28:42Speaker 7: it done in the morning.
- 28:43Speaker 4: They get the rest of the day they don't have to.
- 28:44Speaker 7: Like you remember, especially during training camp, it's you get
- 28:48Speaker 7: there and you know what's coming, like the whole time
- 28:51Speaker 7: of your meetings, So like you're trying to study and
- 28:53Speaker 7: you're going to the film, you're looking over you know
- 28:56Speaker 7: what you're installing that day in practice, But in the
- 28:59Speaker 7: back of your mind, you get this little little devil
- 29:01Speaker 7: on your shoulders saying, yeah, you're about to get crushed.
- 29:03Speaker 7: You're about like it's gonna be hot, it's gonna be miserable. Yeah,
- 29:06Speaker 7: like they at least just get that out of the way.
- 29:07Speaker 4: We're about to see the devil.
- 29:09Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly, they get that out of the way now.
- 29:11Speaker 7: But also the temperatures are a lot better, they can
- 29:13Speaker 7: probably get a lot more accomplished constructive.
- 29:16Speaker 5: Yeah, Like this time of the year is is certainly.
- 29:19Speaker 7: Where the good teams kind of gel and you get
- 29:25Speaker 7: that you have your it's time away from the coaches,
- 29:27Speaker 7: so the leadership really shines right now, Like you can
- 29:32Speaker 7: go back to you know, we always are going to
- 29:35Speaker 7: fall back to when we were there because that's our experience,
- 29:37Speaker 7: that's what we know. Like the really good teams had
- 29:40Speaker 7: really good summer workouts seven on seven schedules, and then
- 29:44Speaker 7: I think after that when the leadership, you know, a
- 29:47Speaker 7: couple of years after that and whatever, maybe it's not
- 29:49Speaker 7: as strong here and there, but it's it's all about
- 29:52Speaker 7: your leaders and that's when that's when you really gel
- 29:55Speaker 7: like cause the strength coaches are there to make you
- 30:00Speaker 7: physically strong, but they're to make you spiritually and mentally strong, yes,
- 30:04Speaker 7: and so like you either you either come together stronger
- 30:07Speaker 7: or you break a little bit.
- 30:09Speaker 2: Do you remember the time that we all got in
- 30:11Speaker 2: trouble because we scrimmaged Southern and seven on seven And
- 30:15Speaker 2: it's like completely against the rules at the time, You're
- 30:18Speaker 2: no way supposed to do that.
- 30:20Speaker 4: And I think it was JaMarcus that put it together.
- 30:23Speaker 2: But it was fun for us because we're like, oh
- 30:24Speaker 2: my god, we got another opponent, like we get to
- 30:26Speaker 2: see different faces. And we did it on the practice
- 30:29Speaker 2: fields if I if I can remember right, But we
- 30:31Speaker 2: scrimmaged Southern in seven on seven. It was like a
- 30:33Speaker 2: player led driven kind of meet up thing and oh
- 30:37Speaker 2: my god, did we get in trouble.
- 30:39Speaker 7: I think Michael Clayton was like helping put that together
- 30:42Speaker 7: too at one point, and that's can I tell you that.
- 30:46Speaker 4: Sucker got competitive? All right?
- 30:48Speaker 7: We talked in arguments, we talk fights. He of course,
- 30:52Speaker 7: of course that's gonna happen.
- 30:53Speaker 4: Yeah, we gotta. We got our attitude after that.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Yeah, well, yeah, it was not not that Jimbo was
- 30:59Speaker 2: out there watching because he wasn't supposed to be.
- 31:01Speaker 7: So there's this in the indoor is it still there?
- 31:04Speaker 7: They had this little catwalk so at the end of
- 31:07Speaker 7: the coaches hall, so the coaches, the coaches floor, all
- 31:09Speaker 7: their coaches officers are on the second floor. Locker room,
- 31:12Speaker 7: weight room, everything else is on the bottom. So like
- 31:13Speaker 7: all the administrative stuff happens up on the second floor.
- 31:16Speaker 7: There's a long there used to be a long hallway
- 31:18Speaker 7: that went by all the coaches and at the end
- 31:20Speaker 7: of it was a door and that door you walked
- 31:23Speaker 7: out and probably, uh, I don't know, a ten by
- 31:26Speaker 7: five foot little balcony that they can maybe ten by
- 31:29Speaker 7: it was smaller, just a little little catwalk with little
- 31:31Speaker 7: fence on it or hand rail, and they could see
- 31:34Speaker 7: the entire indoor facility. Well, in the summer, you're not
- 31:37Speaker 7: allowed to coach. Your coaches can't be on the field
- 31:42Speaker 7: with players for you know, two months or eight seven
- 31:46Speaker 7: weeks something like that. Uh, well, we have seven on
- 31:49Speaker 7: seven's and Jimbo wanted to make sure we always happened
- 31:52Speaker 7: to do it in the indoor, you know, every now
- 31:57Speaker 7: and then we would uh can we be running and
- 31:59Speaker 7: then we wouldn't even know he's there?
- 32:01Speaker 5: Sometimes yeah, and he'd be.
- 32:03Speaker 3: Like, what are you doing.
- 32:06Speaker 2: The best is like he hated that we had to
- 32:09Speaker 2: move it from the stadium when we built the new
- 32:11Speaker 2: building because in the stadium there were so many places.
- 32:14Speaker 4: For him to hide, so many that he could hide
- 32:16Speaker 4: and you wouldn't know that he was.
- 32:18Speaker 5: He was there.
- 32:18Speaker 2: I remember being a freshman and we're going out there,
- 32:20Speaker 2: and you know, JaMarcus is kind of leading in him
- 32:23Speaker 2: and Imran and you because like the quarterbacks had to
- 32:26Speaker 2: kind of do it. But I'll never forget like JaMarcus
- 32:29Speaker 2: throws a pass to Buster Davis and uh, Corey Webster
- 32:33Speaker 2: sits on it all day, steps in front of it,
- 32:35Speaker 2: picks it off, goes the other way, and I hear
- 32:38Speaker 2: God blank JaMarcus from like the top of Tiger Stadium,
- 32:44Speaker 2: I mean clearsday night and say blank put another word
- 32:46Speaker 2: in there. But I was like, wait a minute, I
- 32:48Speaker 2: thought they weren't supposed to to be able to come
- 32:50Speaker 2: out here and watch it.
- 32:50Speaker 4: I'll never forget Jay ruscoes j Rescs. They're everywhere, said,
- 32:57Speaker 4: they're everywhere, They're always listen.
- 33:00Speaker 2: Oh so hopefully they're not trying to scrimmage other teams
- 33:04Speaker 2: in seven on seven. But I will say one of
- 33:05Speaker 2: the things that I think is beneficial for this group
- 33:09Speaker 2: as they get ready for the season, and I'll just
- 33:12Speaker 2: talk offensively because we I know who's coming back. I
- 33:15Speaker 2: kind of know the process of when you have a
- 33:18Speaker 2: returning quarterback. The good thing is, like last year they
- 33:22Speaker 2: probably it was you know, the install is going to
- 33:25Speaker 2: be different this year.
- 33:26Speaker 4: You've got veterans on your offense.
- 33:29Speaker 2: Now you've got a new offensive line, but they've been here,
- 33:32Speaker 2: like and even the guys you brought in are veteran players.
- 33:35Speaker 2: So I don't think you have to go all the
- 33:36Speaker 2: way back to hey, here's day one install, and you
- 33:39Speaker 2: don't have to spend a lot of time on that
- 33:41Speaker 2: kind of stuff because you've got quarterback, running back, receivers,
- 33:45Speaker 2: you got veterans tight ends, you got even the offensive
- 33:49Speaker 2: linemen who are new to playing, they've been here. Before
- 33:51Speaker 2: they've gone through the fire in that Bowl game scenario
- 33:54Speaker 2: where they got fifteen practices, and so I always hated
- 33:57Speaker 2: having to go back. And when we say day one
- 34:00Speaker 2: install every year, this happens. This happens at the next
- 34:05Speaker 2: level too. You got rookies coming in and think about it, like,
- 34:08Speaker 2: you know this offense inside now, you've been doing it
- 34:10Speaker 2: for four years.
- 34:12Speaker 4: It's like a part of who you are.
- 34:14Speaker 2: And then you got new people that come in and
- 34:16Speaker 2: it's like, all right, we're gonna start all the way
- 34:18Speaker 2: back at the top, like on the most base surface
- 34:20Speaker 2: level that you can imagine.
- 34:22Speaker 4: It sucks.
- 34:24Speaker 2: You're sitting there as a veteran player like my guy,
- 34:26Speaker 2: I already know how to code this offense, and we're
- 34:28Speaker 2: going all the way back to how to set up
- 34:30Speaker 2: the keyboard, like what's going on here?
- 34:33Speaker 4: I hated it.
- 34:33Speaker 2: I felt like it was four or five wasted days
- 34:36Speaker 2: of what I was trying to get done. They don't
- 34:38Speaker 2: have to do that offensively for elsh, they'll do some,
- 34:41Speaker 2: they'll go back, but it's like this is like we're
- 34:43Speaker 2: hitting the ground running.
- 34:45Speaker 4: Nussmeyer knows this, y'all know this. Let's go.
- 34:48Speaker 5: Yeah, they.
- 34:50Speaker 7: I agree with what you're saying. But on the other hand,
- 34:54Speaker 7: I think it's always important to kind of go back
- 34:56Speaker 7: on the foundational things that your offense is built upon,
- 35:00Speaker 7: because everything that you do comes comes off of those
- 35:06Speaker 7: first three.
- 35:06Speaker 4: So you enjoyed the the how to huddle meetings that
- 35:09Speaker 4: Jimbo had every year. How to huddle that's a little extreme,
- 35:13Speaker 4: all right, So.
- 35:13Speaker 2: That's gonna see it right here. The it's gonna see
- 35:15Speaker 2: it right here, all the X of the Y. Everybody's
- 35:17Speaker 2: gonna go right here.
- 35:18Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 35:18Speaker 4: I hadn't thought about the how to huddle, yeah in
- 35:20Speaker 4: a little while.
- 35:21Speaker 7: Yeah right, Okay, So I don't like that, but this
- 35:24Speaker 7: is what I do, like, I like, and maybe not
- 35:26Speaker 7: from a running game standpoint, I get it that base
- 35:30Speaker 7: you know, two back zone power whatever, Like I understand
- 35:34Speaker 7: from a running backs and a fullbacks perspective like that
- 35:37Speaker 7: is a little bit annoying. But from a passing game perspective,
- 35:40Speaker 7: if you can do the basic things really well, that
- 35:44Speaker 7: is that is a huge weapon for you during the
- 35:48Speaker 7: entirety of the season because it's something you can always
- 35:50Speaker 7: fall back on, especially in like no huddle two minute situations.
- 35:53Speaker 7: Some of the best games that I ever saw played
- 35:56Speaker 7: by Hall of fame quarterbacks have been when something doesn't
- 36:01Speaker 7: always go right with the game plane because like you
- 36:04Speaker 7: always try to game plan against a against the defense
- 36:07Speaker 7: every single week, you put in different plays, blah blah blah.
- 36:09Speaker 7: It's when those things break down and don't work and
- 36:11Speaker 7: you have to fall back on day one and two
- 36:13Speaker 7: install offense. And then it's like, all right, we know
- 36:16Speaker 7: this like the back of our hand, so we can
- 36:18Speaker 7: run this. We can beat any any defense with it.
- 36:21Speaker 7: So I love the basics of passing game.
- 36:25Speaker 4: And then not a running game.
- 36:27Speaker 7: The run game ever, rund feel like a little forty
- 36:30Speaker 7: four extra never run Wow, what's the what's the will
- 36:34Speaker 7: feral basketball movie Traffic thunder Yep where they run the
- 36:37Speaker 7: puke play. Yeah, it's like we're gonna run this super basic,
- 36:41Speaker 7: but at the end of the day, when you're tired,
- 36:44Speaker 7: you can run the puke play. And that's what day
- 36:46Speaker 7: one and two install is for me. In the passing game,
- 36:49Speaker 7: it's especially like in two minutes you get into two
- 36:51Speaker 7: minute situations. I mean there's only a handful, maybe two
- 36:55Speaker 7: handfuls of plays that you can call a run and
- 36:57Speaker 7: they're all, you know, slant flat, double slants, smash her
- 37:02Speaker 7: route all go, all go hints, there's there's only a
- 37:05Speaker 7: couple of drive plays whatever it is. There's only so
- 37:07Speaker 7: many plays you can get to. But you know what,
- 37:10Speaker 7: there's only so many defenses they can get to as well. Right,
- 37:12Speaker 7: and most of those plays on day one and two
- 37:14Speaker 7: and sols have winners or have concepts for each play.
- 37:18Speaker 4: But or you can just be like Jimbo, run ninety
- 37:20Speaker 4: two ninety three win in all this situation.
- 37:22Speaker 5: Let's just do it three four times in a row.
- 37:25Speaker 5: It worked time every time?
- 37:26Speaker 4: Why not?
- 37:27Speaker 2: So Jimbo, And I'll see if I can actually have
- 37:30Speaker 2: the playbook. I'll see if I can flip through it
- 37:34Speaker 2: for our listeners. Yeah, you see, if I can maybe
- 37:36Speaker 2: like just take a picture of it and Taylor can
- 37:37Speaker 2: put it behind us.
- 37:38Speaker 4: Oh, you certainly had that two thousand and five playbooks.
- 37:40Speaker 4: I know, I just I don't.
- 37:41Speaker 2: I brought it up for one day to show t
- 37:42Speaker 2: Bob and we went through it. So in any situation
- 37:46Speaker 2: whereas like game on the line, gotta have it. Jimbo
- 37:50Speaker 2: had this route combination that he called win w I
- 37:55Speaker 2: n to go win the game, and it like for me,
- 37:58Speaker 2: I think we ran it three times times.
- 38:02Speaker 4: I know for sure. We rent it in two thousand
- 38:04Speaker 4: and six at Tennessee.
- 38:06Speaker 7: Yeah, it was a three by one like triple three
- 38:09Speaker 7: receivers breaking ends at different depths and stuff, And I.
- 38:13Speaker 2: Think JaMarcus was trying to throw it to somebody else.
- 38:16Speaker 2: But I forget what your receiver called it. It was
- 38:20Speaker 2: early early, do you say I called it two thousand
- 38:22Speaker 2: and six at Tennessee. That was if we had a
- 38:25Speaker 2: gotta habit situation. That's what Jimbo's throwing.
- 38:29Speaker 4: We got it.
- 38:30Speaker 5: We'll go get down when when volunteer hamstick a lot
- 38:37Speaker 5: of stuff.
- 38:37Speaker 7: But going back to kind of the pen indy, going
- 38:41Speaker 7: back to the schedule and everything like this is that time.
- 38:45Speaker 7: But they will probably get you know, at least a
- 38:49Speaker 7: week or so off right before training camp.
- 38:51Speaker 4: It's like recharge those batteries.
- 38:54Speaker 7: Like just go get your mind off at for a second,
- 38:57Speaker 7: like physically, and there's not that much you can do
- 38:59Speaker 7: to your like in a week physically. Mentally you can
- 39:02Speaker 7: make a huge difference because it's a grind, man, once
- 39:05Speaker 7: you start, once you come back, once you come back,
- 39:07Speaker 7: it's over.
- 39:07Speaker 5: It's a mental grind.
- 39:10Speaker 4: So they want at every level, even at even at
- 39:12Speaker 4: the NFL, like the NFL, you get like a month
- 39:14Speaker 4: off from many camps to training camp.
- 39:16Speaker 5: You're out of town.
- 39:16Speaker 7: Man, you don't stay there. You're out of town. That's when,
- 39:19Speaker 7: like you know, that's when guys take their trips. It's
- 39:22Speaker 7: been with their family and just mentally get ready for
- 39:25Speaker 7: the push. Mentally get ready for the grind. Hey's in
- 39:27Speaker 7: the barn. That's from like an off season standpoint. Of course,
- 39:31Speaker 7: you're expected to continue to work out and being shape
- 39:34Speaker 7: and ready to go. But yeah, I always enjoyed that moment,
- 39:38Speaker 7: like the calm before the storm, after the summer workouts
- 39:41Speaker 7: were done, where it's just like and go take a
- 39:43Speaker 7: breath for a second. Yeah, you got that little like
- 39:47Speaker 7: again the devil in the back of you're on your
- 39:49Speaker 7: shoulder saying you know you're about to You're about to
- 39:51Speaker 7: go through it here in a couple of days. But
- 39:54Speaker 7: get ready, clear the head, come back, get ready to kick.
- 39:58Speaker 5: Some Clemson ass.
- 40:00Speaker 2: Remember being gone, like we had like flints talking about
- 40:03Speaker 2: make seven days, you're done with some of the workouts,
- 40:05Speaker 2: go home, hit clear, come back, And I was with
- 40:10Speaker 2: my family at Mister Gaddy's Pizza in Shreefport, And remember
- 40:16Speaker 2: during that seven day period, Moffatt would check in on
- 40:19Speaker 2: every player. He calls me, My phone's on the table.
- 40:23Speaker 2: I'm trying to get some pizza at the buffet. My
- 40:26Speaker 2: mom answers, It's like, hey, coach, what are you doing. Oh,
- 40:29Speaker 2: We're at mister Gaddy's pizza. And I was like, no, strength, coach,
- 40:34Speaker 2: We're at mister Gaddy's buffet pizza after all this work
- 40:39Speaker 2: that we put in. I was like, and I get
- 40:42Speaker 2: on the phone and myfs like, ah, I got you,
- 40:46Speaker 2: didn't I and just like ripping me being you know
- 40:50Speaker 2: you're never.
- 40:52Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, he's like, I got you. He did caught
- 40:57Speaker 4: me red handed.
- 41:00Speaker 7: When the guys that were didn't have enough body fat
- 41:03Speaker 7: at the video of training camp.
- 41:04Speaker 4: If you've ice cream fat, they just give.
- 41:07Speaker 5: You a pint of ice cream every night.
- 41:08Speaker 4: Blue Belt ice cream. Yeah. I was on that regimen
- 41:10Speaker 4: when I first got here because I was like two
- 41:12Speaker 4: o seven.
- 41:13Speaker 5: Be like, hey, what kind of ice cream?
- 41:14Speaker 4: You're like, hey, fellas, what kind of blue bell ice
- 41:17Speaker 4: cream do you like? We got cookies and gream, we
- 41:20Speaker 4: got vanilla.
- 41:22Speaker 7: I got ice cream one training camp. For a little
- 41:24Speaker 7: while after that, body fat never got real fat ass.
- 41:28Speaker 2: All right, we'll take a break more OTB when we
- 41:30Speaker 2: come back one four five ESPN betrooms off the bench. Well,
- 41:35Speaker 2: you know what during training camp, you know what, you're
- 41:37Speaker 2: gonna need some cold tubs, You're gonna need some hot tubs.
- 41:41Speaker 2: You're gonna need a little R and R. Russell Pools
- 41:45Speaker 2: knows exactly how to do that for the Tigers. They
- 41:47Speaker 2: can do whatever you need. Right when it comes to hey,
- 41:51Speaker 2: this is what I'm dreaming of in my backyard space.

- 41:56Speaker 2: can do this, that and the other. They can do
- 41:58Speaker 2: it into the design right. It's a one stop shop
- 42:02Speaker 2: construction maintenance retail. They do it all over at Russell Pools.

- 42:37Speaker 1: Hester and Matt Flynn. Okay, here we go where the
- 42:40Speaker 1: plays get broken down, ben Science gets denied.
- 42:43Speaker 5: This I got to come off the bench.
- 42:44Speaker 1: Our two of Off the Bench Live from the Mercedes
- 42:47Speaker 1: Benz Baton Rouge Studio starts now.
- 42:57Speaker 4: Hllright, welcome back here in no hour number two.
- 42:59Speaker 2: Oh t be one O four five ESPN Beton Rouge
- 43:02Speaker 2: and we go now to my boy, Christopher Paul Doring.
- 43:06Speaker 4: You know him, you love him, SEC.
- 43:08Speaker 2: Network, Florida Gator legend, and he's the only person I
- 43:11Speaker 2: would ever say those words about c D.
- 43:13Speaker 4: What's up, brother?
- 43:14Speaker 5: How we doing?
- 43:15Speaker 11: Good morning man, Good to be back with you, first
- 43:17Speaker 11: time with Flynn. Man.
- 43:18Speaker 12: Looking forward to uh to getting to know you a
- 43:21Speaker 12: little bit better.
- 43:21Speaker 11: MATTYS.
- 43:22Speaker 5: I've fired up.
- 43:23Speaker 7: I've heard so many stories, I've seen I've seen the
- 43:26Speaker 7: different costumes and stuff.
- 43:27Speaker 4: So I was like, man, that's a guy that I
- 43:29Speaker 4: think I could have a beer with.
- 43:30Speaker 12: For sure, we definitely do that. Hopefully you'll be in
- 43:33Speaker 12: uh meety days in Atlanta.
- 43:34Speaker 5: Here, well, we will be there.
- 43:36Speaker 11: Good looking forward to.
- 43:37Speaker 4: Trying to get his mind right right now. For it's
- 43:40Speaker 4: that I'm trying to get his mind right for it
- 43:41Speaker 4: right now.
- 43:42Speaker 12: Well, you know, we've kind of calmed it down a
- 43:44Speaker 12: little bit in the last few years. The early start
- 43:46Speaker 12: time has has hurt me. But we are on eastern times,
- 43:50Speaker 12: so I don't have quite the early call time as
- 43:52Speaker 12: we've had in recent years being there in Nashville and
- 43:56Speaker 12: Birmingham back of the day.
- 43:57Speaker 4: Yeah, that is fair, That is fair. Uh are we
- 44:00Speaker 4: doing today? Are we already slinging mortgages today?
- 44:03Speaker 10: No?
- 44:03Speaker 12: You know what, I took the day off radio today,
- 44:07Speaker 12: so it didn't you know, kind of easing into my
- 44:10Speaker 12: day a little bit. About to go hit the gym
- 44:12Speaker 12: here in a minute, and uh, and then we'll get
- 44:14Speaker 12: after some mortgages. I think I'm gonna be able to
- 44:17Speaker 12: ride over to the beach tomorrow too.
- 44:18Speaker 11: Man.
- 44:19Speaker 12: It's been really hot here as it is been for
- 44:22Speaker 12: everybody else. So might do a little beach time this weekend.
- 44:25Speaker 9: See.
- 44:25Speaker 2: Do do you ever wonder, like Flynn and I were
- 44:27Speaker 2: talking about this last week, do you ever kind of
- 44:29Speaker 2: wonder how in the world did we do what we
- 44:32Speaker 2: did in college in this weather?
- 44:34Speaker 11: Yes? I think that's an old guy thing.
- 44:36Speaker 6: I think.
- 44:37Speaker 12: I think like when you're young, you don't know any better,
- 44:39Speaker 12: and then as you get older and you get out
- 44:41Speaker 12: of doing it, it's hard to get back into it.
- 44:44Speaker 11: It's like getting in shape.
- 44:45Speaker 12: It's easy while you're it's easier while you're staying in shape,
- 44:49Speaker 12: but harder when you've gotten out of shape. So I yeah, man,
- 44:51Speaker 12: the humidity here. But let's be honest, though, these kids
- 44:54Speaker 12: ain't doing what we were doing, so you know they'll
- 44:56Speaker 12: they'll never have any sort of idea of what it
- 44:59Speaker 12: was like doing two days back in July and August
- 45:03Speaker 12: in the heat that we got here in the Southeast.
- 45:05Speaker 2: Yeah, that is very fair because I even appreciate the
- 45:08Speaker 2: fact that I got a couple. If Lynn got it,
- 45:10Speaker 2: you certainly most of your career got like old school
- 45:13Speaker 2: two A days. At the next level, it's like, man,
- 45:15Speaker 2: you young cats, like y'all have no idea, like this
- 45:19Speaker 2: is a grind, and you remember, I'm sure you went
- 45:21Speaker 2: through this like when you would scrimmage another team, Like
- 45:23Speaker 2: when you're practice with another team in the NFL, it
- 45:27Speaker 2: was like you had four game days in a row
- 45:29Speaker 2: and it was like true to a days you would
- 45:31Speaker 2: go against that team like eight times in a four
- 45:33Speaker 2: day period.
- 45:34Speaker 12: Yeah, the intensity level was ratcheted up next level. And
- 45:38Speaker 12: what do you think by like practice three year into
- 45:41Speaker 12: like the full fledged fights that take away, you know,
- 45:45Speaker 12: so that that set up for failure inevitably, especially as
- 45:49Speaker 12: deep as in the.
- 45:49Speaker 11: Campus we used to be before we get a chance
- 45:51Speaker 11: to do some of that.
- 45:52Speaker 12: But yeah, man, I don't miss I don't miss the
- 45:59Speaker 12: grind of being out there, but I do miss the
- 46:01Speaker 12: training camp thing. I was literally just talking about that
- 46:03Speaker 12: on on radio the other day. Man, as much as
- 46:06Speaker 12: it sucks, it's one of those things that, like, you know,
- 46:09Speaker 12: you hate it at the time. I do miss being
- 46:13Speaker 12: there with the guys and going through that and experiencing
- 46:15Speaker 12: kind of the bonding that takes place during during camp
- 46:18Speaker 12: every year.
- 46:20Speaker 5: Yeah, Chris, your vibes are really uh.
- 46:24Speaker 7: Meshing well with Jake and I show it because like
- 46:26Speaker 7: we give off so many like back in my day vibes,
- 46:30Speaker 7: they don't go through what we did blah blah blah.
- 46:32Speaker 7: We you know, we probably spend half of the show
- 46:34Speaker 7: just telling those stories. And we were just talking about
- 46:36Speaker 7: the kind of the break the roll of uh summer
- 46:40Speaker 7: workouts for all these guys of coming together doing the
- 46:43Speaker 7: seven or sevens, the players only time on the field,
- 46:45Speaker 7: and how important that is in your opinion, Like what
- 46:48Speaker 7: can these kids get done in the summertime without coaches
- 46:53Speaker 7: on the field, just themselves leading up? I mean each
- 46:56Speaker 7: team is a little bit different. I always kind of
- 46:58Speaker 7: leaned on the leadership, but like, what what do you
- 47:00Speaker 7: what do you look for from a team? And you
- 47:01Speaker 7: can you can put this on your experience on the
- 47:03Speaker 7: summer of the week's leading up the training camp, because
- 47:06Speaker 7: training camp is an ass kicker, but yeah, just mentally physically,
- 47:10Speaker 7: what are they doing to prepare?
- 47:11Speaker 12: Yeah, it's interesting and because you know, I think teams
- 47:14Speaker 12: are built during your your off season conditioning. You know,
- 47:17Speaker 12: it's built with what you're doing in the gym, It's
- 47:19Speaker 12: built with those six fifteen runs. It's where leadership emerges.
- 47:23Speaker 12: It's where you know, bonding takes place. But actually, I mean,
- 47:26Speaker 12: these guys are having a lot more time nowadays than
- 47:29Speaker 12: what we used to with with coaches. And you know,
- 47:31Speaker 12: we got so much hypocrisy in college football. You know
- 47:35Speaker 12: we talk about in IL, which is actually just pay
- 47:37Speaker 12: for play and recruiting, inducements and everything else. We just
- 47:40Speaker 12: don't call it the right things. Well, these guys, these
- 47:42Speaker 12: guys have OTAs now in college where you're out there
- 47:45Speaker 12: with the coaches, you just can't have a ball.
- 47:47Speaker 11: So what do they do.
- 47:47Speaker 12: They roll up a towel and tie it up and
- 47:50Speaker 12: stimulate it being a ball. Like, I don't even know
- 47:52Speaker 12: why we do some of these stupid things that we do,
- 47:54Speaker 12: but it does feel like coaches have an opportunity to
- 47:58Speaker 12: get to know their teams maybe a little better in
- 48:00Speaker 12: the offseason because of the time together. And let's be honest,
- 48:03Speaker 12: like that only makes sense, like why were we not
- 48:05Speaker 12: allowed to be with our coaches? And now as big
- 48:07Speaker 12: a business as it is, it truly is, you know,
- 48:10Speaker 12: much more like the NFL, So you should have the
- 48:12Speaker 12: opportunity to get coached during the offseason more, you know.
- 48:15Speaker 2: One of the things we were talking about for LSU
- 48:18Speaker 2: is the fact that they don't necessarily have to go
- 48:19Speaker 2: all the way back CD to like day one install
- 48:22Speaker 2: once they get to training camp, because they got a
- 48:23Speaker 2: veteran team, they got a quarterback coming back, and I
- 48:25Speaker 2: think that is helpful, like you can kind of just
- 48:28Speaker 2: look at it and then move along pretty fast there.
- 48:30Speaker 2: But I think that's going to be the case in
- 48:32Speaker 2: the SEC with so many returning quarterbacks. And one of
- 48:35Speaker 2: the things that's going to be intriguing to me once
- 48:37Speaker 2: we do get to Atlanta is you look at Florida,
- 48:41Speaker 2: you look at LSU, South Carolina, Vandy, they know exactly
- 48:44Speaker 2: who they are at quarterback.
- 48:46Speaker 4: But the traditional powers over the last.
- 48:48Speaker 2: Couple of years, your Georgia, You're Alabama, Tennessee who made
- 48:52Speaker 2: the College Football Playoff last year, Ole Miss is won
- 48:54Speaker 2: a lot of games.
- 48:56Speaker 4: Like those teams don't know who in the hell they
- 48:58Speaker 4: are at quarterback.
- 48:59Speaker 11: Now.
- 48:59Speaker 4: They think they've got some guys that can fill in.
- 49:01Speaker 2: But the league this year, some of the teams that
- 49:03Speaker 2: are trying to take that next step, the ones I
- 49:05Speaker 2: laid out there, they know exactly who their guy is.
- 49:08Speaker 2: But the teams that have been there, the UGA's like
- 49:12Speaker 2: they're going.
- 49:12Speaker 4: To have a lot to figure out.
- 49:13Speaker 12: Yeah, Uga, Alabama, even even Texas. I mean, we know
- 49:16Speaker 12: who the guy is going to be, but we don't
- 49:17Speaker 12: necessarily know what he's going to be. We think we
- 49:20Speaker 12: got a good idea of what he can evolve into.
- 49:22Speaker 4: But the head ball coach had something to say about that.
- 49:24Speaker 12: Yeah, I mean I feel the same way, Like why
- 49:27Speaker 12: are we ready to just crown somebody as being the
- 49:31Speaker 12: best in the league or the number one draft pick
- 49:34Speaker 12: in a couple of years just because of the last name. Now,
- 49:36Speaker 12: there's a lot of good things that I love his leadership,
- 49:39Speaker 12: but I love you know, he's a guy that hangs
- 49:41Speaker 12: with his boys.
- 49:42Speaker 11: Which I love at the quarterback position.
- 49:44Speaker 12: But you know, I do think it's an interesting dynamic
- 49:48Speaker 12: because you know, this has every year we go to
- 49:50Speaker 12: to media days, you're you're you're looking at at the
- 49:55Speaker 12: returning quarterbacks and projecting what teams can be based upon
- 49:58Speaker 12: the experience at that most crucial position. We had Matt
- 50:02Speaker 12: Moscona on Your Boy the other day and I was
- 50:04Speaker 12: talking about how good I thought the quarterback play was
- 50:07Speaker 12: going to be this year. He kind of took a
- 50:08Speaker 12: little bit of an exception to that. And to your point,
- 50:11Speaker 12: I think there's about half the league that feels really
- 50:13Speaker 12: good about returning quarterbacks, and then you know another half
- 50:16Speaker 12: who's trying to figure it out or has a guy
- 50:18Speaker 12: that hadn't necessarily played.
- 50:20Speaker 11: For that school and that offense before. So I really
- 50:24Speaker 11: like that.
- 50:25Speaker 12: I do feel like it's going to be an offensive
- 50:28Speaker 12: inclined league this year with a lot of really good quarterbacks.
- 50:32Speaker 12: But I also look at all the different pieces around
- 50:36Speaker 12: the quarterback now that come in and how quickly they're
- 50:39Speaker 12: able to acclimate. I know that you guys there and
- 50:40Speaker 12: Baton Rouge are dealing with a bunch of new receivers
- 50:44Speaker 12: or a lot of talent, but how much have those
- 50:47Speaker 12: guys been able to bond so far in the offseason
- 50:49Speaker 12: and get the rhythm down that you need between the
- 50:51Speaker 12: quarterback and wide receivers.
- 50:53Speaker 7: Yeah, the great teams, it usually comes down championship team.
- 50:57Speaker 7: It usually comes down to head coaching, quarterback. I mean
- 50:59Speaker 7: it's ultimate sport, of course, but I mean if you
- 51:01Speaker 7: don't have at least one, preferably two of those things,
- 51:05Speaker 7: a really good head coach and a really good quarterback,
- 51:07Speaker 7: you're you're you're behind the eight ball a little bit.
- 51:10Speaker 7: And I want to go back to arch Manning a
- 51:12Speaker 7: little bit. I mean, if there's one guy that is
- 51:15Speaker 7: would be made to handle the media and the pressure,
- 51:18Speaker 7: it would be a Manning because they've been around it
- 51:20Speaker 7: their entire life, right, But I want to know that
- 51:24Speaker 7: this day and age, with the access to social media,
- 51:27Speaker 7: access to everything, you're gonna with unless you are actively
- 51:31Speaker 7: trying to not see it. You're going to be exposed
- 51:33Speaker 7: to everything, the good, the bad, the ugly. What is
- 51:35Speaker 7: if you're coaching a guy like Arch, what are you
- 51:38Speaker 7: telling him as far as the cell phone, the looking
- 51:42Speaker 7: at the press clipons, looking at all that stuff, Because
- 51:45Speaker 7: it can be a dang if you don't have the
- 51:46Speaker 7: right mental makeup, it can be a dangerous thing. But like,
- 51:48Speaker 7: what would you say to a guy like that?
- 51:50Speaker 12: Yeah, honestly, I I feel like Arch is the exception
- 51:55Speaker 12: to the rule, really, you know, And and let's credit
- 51:58Speaker 12: Start Starts done a great job of man managing the
- 52:00Speaker 12: quarterback room, managing Arch manning and his expectation. But I
- 52:03Speaker 12: also think a lot of that came from the family
- 52:05Speaker 12: influence as well, having multiple uncles that have dealt with
- 52:11Speaker 12: and a grandfather that's dealt with it a different era there.
- 52:13Speaker 12: But he is the guy that comes from great pedigree,
- 52:17Speaker 12: not only athletically but mentally. And there's not a whole
- 52:22Speaker 12: lot of guys that were as highly recruited as him
- 52:24Speaker 12: that would have been as patient and waiting for his
- 52:26Speaker 12: turn or understood, you know how they.
- 52:29Speaker 11: Were going to use him as they dip his toe
- 52:31Speaker 11: into the pool.
- 52:32Speaker 12: So I really liked the maturity that he has shown,
- 52:36Speaker 12: and you know, he has some fun on social media.
- 52:39Speaker 12: You see him on commercials. He's doing a little bit
- 52:41Speaker 12: of it, but I don't get the sense that it's
- 52:44Speaker 12: getting to him the way that it does some other guys.
- 52:46Speaker 12: And let's be honest, the money thing is something that
- 52:50Speaker 12: can affect you. He comes from a family that has
- 52:53Speaker 12: a pretty good amount of money, so it's not like
- 52:55Speaker 12: a shock to the system where you know, a guy
- 52:57Speaker 12: hadn't had anything all of a sudden, he's got a
- 52:58Speaker 12: bunch and he's going crazy with this. So I just
- 53:01Speaker 12: I think all these things line up to me to
- 53:03Speaker 12: feel really good about what his career is going to
- 53:05Speaker 12: be in Austin. Let's not forget I think Stark is
- 53:08Speaker 12: the best. I think he's the best play designer, best
- 53:12Speaker 12: play caller in college.
- 53:14Speaker 11: Football right now.
- 53:16Speaker 12: And so it helps that he gets an opportunity to
- 53:19Speaker 12: learn from him and that he's surrounded with the type
- 53:22Speaker 12: of weapons that he has on that team where they're
- 53:24Speaker 12: going to run the football. He didn't have to win
- 53:25Speaker 12: games himself because of the ability to run with that
- 53:29Speaker 12: group of running backs and behind a really talented offensive line.
- 53:33Speaker 4: Cause you know, we're the boy.
- 53:34Speaker 2: Chris Doring here on OTB CD went on, take a
- 53:37Speaker 2: look at the SEC, and I know we talk about
- 53:40Speaker 2: the same things pretty often of Hey, this team needs
- 53:42Speaker 2: to take another step, this team has to make it
- 53:45Speaker 2: to a college football playoff, this team needs to win
- 53:47Speaker 2: one more game, whatever it might be.
- 53:50Speaker 4: There's a team that's not really in that.
- 53:51Speaker 2: Conversation, that has really been struggling, and their fan base
- 53:55Speaker 2: expects way more.
- 53:56Speaker 4: And I'm surprised it's not a little bit louder.
- 53:58Speaker 12: Are we talking about the Auburn Tigers.
- 53:59Speaker 4: The Auburn's looking at us.
- 54:00Speaker 2: We know each other, so, I mean two and six
- 54:03Speaker 2: in the SEC last year, five and seven overall, and CDI,
- 54:08Speaker 2: I just I don't even feel like we are talking
- 54:10Speaker 2: about Hugh Freeze and him needing to get it together. Really,
- 54:13Speaker 2: the noise isn't as loud as I thought it would be.
- 54:15Speaker 12: It's funny because I think you got two different approaches,
- 54:20Speaker 12: polar opposites. The way you talk about your team, you know,
- 54:23Speaker 12: Brian Brian Kelly has really kind of magnified what the
- 54:27Speaker 12: expectation of the fan base is in terms of what
- 54:31Speaker 12: they expect from this year's team. Meanwhile, Hugh Freeze is
- 54:34Speaker 12: talking about we just we need to make a bowl game.
- 54:36Speaker 12: Get the hell out of here. To make a bowl
- 54:38Speaker 12: game like that ain't enough, And particularly because of the
- 54:41Speaker 12: expectation coming in and what they've done on the recruiting
- 54:43Speaker 12: trails the last couple of years, I do think this
- 54:46Speaker 12: is a team that's poised to make a big jump
- 54:49Speaker 12: this year. They played a lot of games where they
- 54:52Speaker 12: lost in single digit ball games last year, So I think,
- 54:59Speaker 12: as Lynn said, I mean, it's so much as about
- 55:01Speaker 12: the quarterback, and I believe that Jackson Arro getting a
- 55:05Speaker 12: fresh start in a different offense, surrounded by a lot
- 55:08Speaker 12: of really good players. I mean, this is a receiver
- 55:11Speaker 12: corps that I think could be one of the best
- 55:14Speaker 12: in the league this year. They went out and got
- 55:15Speaker 12: the Speecher from Georgia Tech to kind of compliment with
- 55:19Speaker 12: what Cam Coleman brings to you. So I actually am
- 55:22Speaker 12: kind of buying, cautiously buying that Auburn could be a
- 55:27Speaker 12: little bit of a dark horse team this year in
- 55:29Speaker 12: the SEC.
- 55:31Speaker 5: So I want to hear.
- 55:35Speaker 7: I want to hear Chris Dorians kind of just your
- 55:37Speaker 7: power rankings, preseason power rankings going into the season, when
- 55:41Speaker 7: you look at everything from what people did in the
- 55:44Speaker 7: offseason to what they're returning to everything going into it.
- 55:48Speaker 5: Walking into Game one.
- 55:50Speaker 7: Of the twenty twenty five season, give me your top
- 55:52Speaker 7: three or four power rankings in the SEC and then
- 55:56Speaker 7: also tell us why LSU is number one.
- 55:59Speaker 11: I am.
- 56:00Speaker 12: I'm high on LSU.
- 56:01Speaker 11: Man.
- 56:02Speaker 12: I'm a little biased too. I mean, you know, I
- 56:04Speaker 12: was talking about this yesterday on our show, just how
- 56:07Speaker 12: many LSU folks I'm surrounded by. I was doing the
- 56:09Speaker 12: show with Caroline Finton, who is another LSU grad, and
- 56:14Speaker 12: I think back to that magical twenty nineteen season, the
- 56:17Speaker 12: way that I was kind of welcomed into the fan
- 56:19Speaker 12: base by so many of the great Tiger fans. I
- 56:22Speaker 12: really have enjoyed watching Jay Johnson's run the last couple
- 56:26Speaker 12: of years. He was fantastic with us yesterday on our show,
- 56:29Speaker 12: and I guess I'm maybe finally gonna get my autographed
- 56:33Speaker 12: LSU jersey from him, the one that I had to
- 56:35Speaker 12: Yeah we.
- 56:36Speaker 2: Gotay off the bet with Yeah Yeah during as a
- 56:38Speaker 2: baseball jersey. We're trying to get Jay Johnson to sign it.
- 56:41Speaker 2: I'm gonna personally make sure that happens. Don't lean on
- 56:44Speaker 2: g to get it done.
- 56:45Speaker 12: I'll get it he did. I mentioned that at the
- 56:49Speaker 12: end of the interview yesterday and Coach Johnson said that
- 56:52Speaker 12: he was going to get with the equipment guy as
- 56:54Speaker 12: soon as the interview was over to make sure I
- 56:56Speaker 12: had that purple and gold jersey up in my office.
- 56:59Speaker 12: So I'm admitting to that. And when I say up
- 57:01Speaker 12: in the office, has I mean leaned up against the
- 57:04Speaker 12: cabinet as I know that makes you a little upset,
- 57:07Speaker 12: but I yeah, I mean I'm high on LSU. I'm
- 57:12Speaker 12: interested in what you guys think about. Like I made
- 57:16Speaker 12: this assertment that I think this is maybe the most
- 57:20Speaker 12: important opener that I can remember for any team in
- 57:22Speaker 12: a long time, given the lack of success that the
- 57:25Speaker 12: program has had in general the last five years and
- 57:27Speaker 12: openers and particularly with Brian Kelly the last couple of years.
- 57:31Speaker 12: But at the end of the end of the day,
- 57:32Speaker 12: I mean the way that the playoffs is set up
- 57:35Speaker 12: now you can lose one or two games and still
- 57:39Speaker 12: get in and it isn't at a conference game. You know,
- 57:42Speaker 12: it's crazy. You guys would agree with me, like seeing
- 57:45Speaker 12: that Florida LSU game in September as the as the
- 57:50Speaker 12: conference opener like it. That is a that may be
- 57:53Speaker 12: a more important game. But I do feel like there's
- 57:56Speaker 12: a lot of angst about what this opener will look.
- 57:59Speaker 11: Like and Death Valley.
- 58:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know how I feel about Florida LSU
- 58:04Speaker 4: being that early. I gotta be honest with you.
- 58:06Speaker 2: That's an October game every day, all day, and for
- 58:10Speaker 2: it to be right there, and you're right like those
- 58:13Speaker 2: teams and they've got some tough opponents before they even
- 58:15Speaker 2: get to each other. It might be a must win situation,
- 58:19Speaker 2: like your first time out of the gate in conference.
- 58:22Speaker 12: Yeah, it is, you know, jumping right into the fire. Now,
- 58:26Speaker 12: you guys, remember last year, Florida had a brutal schedule
- 58:29Speaker 12: to open the month of September. I had to play Miami,
- 58:35Speaker 12: got physically embarrassed in that one, and then two games
- 58:38Speaker 12: later had to play Texas A and m and got
- 58:40Speaker 12: manhandled on the line of scrimage there as well. I
- 58:43Speaker 12: do like the schedule for Florida this year. They get
- 58:45Speaker 12: to eat into a little bit more Long Island in
- 58:48Speaker 12: the opener, and then South Florida we two. But I
- 58:51Speaker 12: don't know if there's a more brutal stretch of four
- 58:55Speaker 12: games success in succession than what Florida plays. They got
- 58:59Speaker 12: to go to Miami to play the Hurricanes or excreat me,
- 59:02Speaker 12: they got to play they play you guys in Baton Rouge,
- 59:05Speaker 12: then Miami and then have to play Texas at home,
- 59:09Speaker 12: and then Texas A and M and college station. Like
- 59:11Speaker 12: that's going to be a defining run for Florida. But
- 59:15Speaker 12: I do think remember the old days has we did
- 59:17Speaker 12: on there, We talk about all right, where's the three
- 59:19Speaker 12: game stretch that matters the most.
- 59:21Speaker 11: For teams and what they can or can't be.
- 59:24Speaker 12: I think now with Texas and Oklahoma in the league
- 59:26Speaker 12: and a little bit more difficult scheduling out of conference,
- 59:29Speaker 12: we're seeing these these stretches where you know, four games
- 59:33Speaker 12: in a row are are are brutal. So it's it's uh,
- 59:37Speaker 12: it's kind of a sign of the times. But as
- 59:39Speaker 12: fans man, I would much rather get a chance to
- 59:41Speaker 12: see my team playing ball games like this than playing
- 59:44Speaker 12: FCS opponents.
- 59:46Speaker 4: I couldn't agree, but we talked about that.
- 59:47Speaker 7: Yeah, day it's like, do whatever you have to do
- 59:50Speaker 7: with the playoff rules and how you're going to get in,
- 59:53Speaker 7: do whatever you have to do to make sure that
- 59:55Speaker 7: these games stay here yea, and they don't go back
- 59:58Speaker 7: to scheduling and other stuff.
- 59:59Speaker 5: So I mean that kind of leads me to a
- 1:00:01Speaker 5: good question.
- 1:00:02Speaker 12: Let me let me ask you a question, play real quick. Like,
- 1:00:04Speaker 12: as players, we wanted to play the best competition, man,
- 1:00:06Speaker 12: we wanted to get a chance to test ourselves. Don't
- 1:00:09Speaker 12: you love the idea of mandating the Power four teams
- 1:00:13Speaker 12: all having a game against the other Power three conferences
- 1:00:17Speaker 12: and being able to see how you match up against
- 1:00:20Speaker 12: the ACC, the Big twelve, and the Big Ten, Like,
- 1:00:22Speaker 12: it feels like that should be something that we could
- 1:00:24Speaker 12: at least mandate to really get a better temperature of
- 1:00:28Speaker 12: which conferences are the best and the team is out
- 1:00:31Speaker 12: of conference.
- 1:00:32Speaker 11: That are the best.
- 1:00:32Speaker 7: I love any idea that puts the best against the best,
- 1:00:36Speaker 7: no matter what part of the country, and we know
- 1:00:38Speaker 7: no matter what the patch or the conference is on
- 1:00:40Speaker 7: your jersey doesn't matter. I mean every year we used
- 1:00:43Speaker 7: to get so excited for all the bowl games because
- 1:00:44Speaker 7: you saw the interconference matchups, Like we should be having
- 1:00:47Speaker 7: that throughout the year. And that's that's why, you know,
- 1:00:49Speaker 7: you get into these conversations about the.
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: Committee and all this.
- 1:00:54Speaker 7: I just I just prayed that it never gets to
- 1:00:55Speaker 7: the point where we have to go back to just strictly,
- 1:00:58Speaker 7: you know, you have to be undefeated one loss to
- 1:01:01Speaker 7: be able to be in the conversation and getting in so.
- 1:01:04Speaker 12: Mean and while does think about like, literally, Ohio State
- 1:01:07Speaker 12: didn't win the Big Ten, didn't even play for the
- 1:01:10Speaker 12: Big Ten championship, and lost their final game of the
- 1:01:12Speaker 12: season when we were playing. You lose the final game
- 1:01:15Speaker 12: of the season, that's pretty much.
- 1:01:16Speaker 11: A death wish.
- 1:01:17Speaker 12: So like I do think that Ohio State, once they
- 1:01:21Speaker 12: got past that Michigan game, was playing the best of
- 1:01:24Speaker 12: any team in the country. So I think now college
- 1:01:27Speaker 12: football is like, hey, let's survive. Let's give our to
- 1:01:31Speaker 12: ourselves a chance to be in position at the end
- 1:01:33Speaker 12: of the year. And you know, if we can find
- 1:01:35Speaker 12: a way to start clicking on all cylinders, you can
- 1:01:38Speaker 12: get hot in the postseason like a lot of the
- 1:01:40Speaker 12: other sports do in terms of determining champions So it
- 1:01:44Speaker 12: is a bit of a survival, particularly in the grind
- 1:01:47Speaker 12: that that the SEC is now. But honestly believe, with
- 1:01:50Speaker 12: what happened last year in the postseason, we're gonna get
- 1:01:54Speaker 12: at least one or two nine win teams in this
- 1:01:57Speaker 12: year something that we talked about last last year a
- 1:01:59Speaker 12: lot when Ole Miss, South Carolina and Bama got snubbed
- 1:02:02Speaker 12: at nine and three. But I do think that we'll
- 1:02:04Speaker 12: see at least one, if not multiple, nine win teams
- 1:02:09Speaker 12: from the league getting in this year.
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: All right, there is our boy, Chris Doring, SEC Network,
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: Florida Gator legend, somebody that we're gonna have a chance
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: to hang out with in two weeks.
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: Sir, can't can't wait, looking forward to it.
- 1:02:23Speaker 12: Yeah, man, right around the corner boys, I look forward
- 1:02:25Speaker 12: to catch up with the.
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: Atlanta All right, there he is Chris Doring, always good
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: enough to join us with his time. And look, if
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: you're a Florida Gator and you can be a friend
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: of mine, you've done something right now, especialist. You have
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: figured out the Rubik's cube. You have turned in a
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: lot of different ways and finally solved it. All right,
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: we will take a break. I do want to recap
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: some of what CD was talking about there, kind of
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: look at what the SEC looks like and kind of
