- 0:00Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Welcome to the favorites presented by draft kings the crown
- 0:14Speaker 2: is yours we are an action network podcast i'm brandon
- 0:18Speaker 2: kravitz your host joined by the first lady of the
- 0:20Speaker 2: pod kendra middleton week one full breakdown preview our official
- 0:26Speaker 2: plays we've got five that we've got to log into
- 0:29Speaker 2: our draft kings contest i'll tell you more about that
- 0:31Speaker 2: in a moment dr david chow from sixscore.com We'll give
- 0:35Speaker 2: us the injury news that we need to know for
- 0:37Speaker 2: this week. John Yastrzemski from New York, New York, joining
- 0:40Speaker 2: the show. Great friend of the podcast. We've been pretty
- 0:44Speaker 2: kumbaya in the lead up to the season. So we'll
- 0:47Speaker 2: see how long that persists, Kendra.
- 0:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I am surprised so far, but maybe we're just
- 0:53Speaker 3: spending too much time together.
- 0:55Speaker 1: We'll see how long.
- 0:56Speaker 3: I feel like we fight like siblings, and I think
- 0:59Speaker 3: that that is fine with me.
- 1:02Speaker 2: I think it is the flavor and the zest of
- 1:04Speaker 2: the podcast, but we're kind of acting like, I feel
- 1:07Speaker 2: like the last couple of weeks, it's been like siblings
- 1:09Speaker 2: that hadn't seen each other in a while.
- 1:11Speaker 1: And it was those mom and dad told us we're
- 1:12Speaker 1: going on vacation.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. If we behave by week four, we're going
- 1:17Speaker 2: to be at each other's throats and obvious take to
- 1:19Speaker 2: get us going fresh off of Seahawks Patriots guitar anthem
- 1:24Speaker 2: over singing anthem 10 times out of 10.
- 1:28Speaker 1: 100% not even close.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Give me more of that. Maybe I'd actually like the
- 1:34Speaker 3: national anthem more.
- 1:35Speaker 4: Oh, wow.
- 1:36Speaker 2: It's a hot take. All right.
- 1:38Speaker 1: It's a bad song. It's a bad song.
- 1:42Speaker 2: I mean, it's definitely no Canada. But speaking of patriotism,
- 1:47Speaker 2: the Patriots with the horseshoes still lodged firmly up their ass.
- 1:52Speaker 2: And they couldn't capitalize. I mean, it looked like the
- 1:55Speaker 2: Patriots were going to win in a route. They're up 10, nothing.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Sam Darnold had been ruled out. Drew Locke looked really
- 2:01Speaker 2: rough around the edges early on in, in his tenure
- 2:06Speaker 2: into that game, but he settled in the Seahawks defense,
- 2:10Speaker 2: shut new England down. The Patriots are the only team
- 2:14Speaker 2: in the NFL in the last 30 years to throw
- 2:16Speaker 2: three interceptions, take three or more sacks, commit three or
- 2:20Speaker 2: more penalties. and score zero points in a single quarter
- 2:24Speaker 2: of any NFL game. That was an absolute meltdown from
- 2:28Speaker 2: the New England Patriots when they had the champs on
- 2:30Speaker 2: the ropes.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Living here last night and being on Patriots Twitter firsthand
- 2:36Speaker 3: was a delight. However, I don't know if anybody at
- 2:38Speaker 3: home is keeping score.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Diana, one. Mike Vrabel, zero.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Three fourth quarter interceptions in is fucking crazy and i
- 2:49Speaker 3: don't want to take away what josh job did last
- 2:51Speaker 3: night because everybody's harping on what patrick or what sorry
- 2:54Speaker 3: what drake may did last night but we should also
- 2:56Speaker 3: be celebrating that catch that was just peak athleticism it
- 3:01Speaker 3: was incredible and yes drake may had a bad night
- 3:04Speaker 3: But that defense for what they had to do went
- 3:07Speaker 3: out there and performed and people should be talking about
- 3:09Speaker 3: that way more than we are.
- 3:10Speaker 1: It's easy to point to the quarterback.
- 3:12Speaker 3: I will say people are melting down up here like
- 3:14Speaker 3: Drake Mays, not the guy and whatever. I think it
- 3:16Speaker 3: says more about one Josh McDaniels play calling last night.
- 3:20Speaker 1: That was horrendous.
- 3:22Speaker 3: And two, the fact that, sure, you can go out
- 3:24Speaker 3: there and you can get wide receivers, but at the
- 3:26Speaker 3: end of the day, if your lines on both sides
- 3:28Speaker 3: can't help you out in any way, shape, or form
- 3:30Speaker 3: in big games against teams that you're going to play
- 3:33Speaker 3: high caliber like that through the stretch of a season, sorry,
- 3:36Speaker 3: you're a schedule merchant.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Yeah, that offensive line that they tried to shuffle around
- 3:42Speaker 2: got murdered. Byron Murphy was eating that line for lunch
- 3:47Speaker 2: last night.
- 3:48Speaker 1: And I said this to you in our pregame show.
- 3:50Speaker 3: I have zero issue with us getting beat on the spread,
- 3:54Speaker 3: but it is so difficult to get beat by injuries.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Having a Sam Darnold pick and him and thank God,
- 3:59Speaker 3: you know, I put my money at a book where.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Like they refund you for things like that.
- 4:02Speaker 3: I will say, let's take a moment to appreciate DraftKings
- 4:05Speaker 3: and all that they do to keep, you know, people
- 4:07Speaker 3: right with the injuries and whatnot. But the AJ Brown
- 4:10Speaker 3: injury absolutely killed me last night. I can take a
- 4:13Speaker 3: bad beat, but I hate when it's an injury. I
- 4:15Speaker 3: would rather you beat me straight up.
- 4:18Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Um, we, we took jobs also.
- 4:22Speaker 1: What the fuck?
- 4:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:24Speaker 2: We took L's across the board. You had a few
- 4:26Speaker 2: bets on the, on the night. One of them was
- 4:28Speaker 2: the Seahawks minus three and a half. I was on
- 4:30Speaker 2: that as well. And if we needed another neon sign
- 4:34Speaker 2: that said, be wary of the three and the hook
- 4:38Speaker 2: on the favorite in the NFL, about 15% of the
- 4:41Speaker 2: time in an NFL game, the game's going to land
- 4:44Speaker 2: on three. That's, you know, we're talking 15 out of
- 4:47Speaker 2: a hundred games that can swing your profitability. And as
- 4:50Speaker 2: if I needed another reminder of that as an NFL better,
- 4:53Speaker 2: we got it right out of the gate. That three
- 4:55Speaker 2: and a half should have waited for the three. I
- 4:57Speaker 2: regret it, um, would have pushed and walked away with nothing, but, uh,
- 5:01Speaker 2: definitely hurts to take the L and night one.
- 5:04Speaker 3: The last thing I'll say, one, Patriots in bed jail. Two,
- 5:08Speaker 3: I'm about to be on a Matt Collins anytime. And three,
- 5:12Speaker 3: when Travion comes back, Ramondre, your ass better be sitting down.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Yeah, that offense without A.J. Brown and Travion Henderson. We
- 5:23Speaker 2: didn't know about A.J. Brown until the middle of the game,
- 5:26Speaker 2: but it was what I was worried about with Travion
- 5:27Speaker 2: Henderson not playing. No explosiveness in that offense whatsoever.
- 5:33Speaker 1: I lied. I also need to bitch about the refereeing.
- 5:35Speaker 3: I am sick of those motherfuckers already.
- 5:38Speaker 1: I'm sick of it.
- 5:39Speaker 3: Like I saw more flags last night than I wanted
- 5:41Speaker 3: to see the entirety of the season.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I don't care if it was good calls at times.
- 5:45Speaker 1: A lot of them were bad calls. I just need
- 5:47Speaker 1: less of you. Heads up.
- 5:51Speaker 3: That game should not have been as long as it was.
- 5:53Speaker 3: That fourth quarter felt like it was 37 days of
- 5:54Speaker 3: my life.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. The Seahawks were up against it early on. They,
- 5:59Speaker 2: every flag was going against them. They had the Sam
- 6:01Speaker 2: Darnold injury and the way that they were able to
- 6:03Speaker 2: battle back when it felt like everything was working against them,
- 6:07Speaker 2: an admirable win for the Seahawks and without their two
- 6:10Speaker 2: starting safeties. If you're a Seahawks fan, Nick Lee, I
- 6:13Speaker 2: know you're listening. You should feel pretty good about where
- 6:16Speaker 2: you're at to start this season.
- 6:18Speaker 4: A heads up.
- 6:19Speaker 2: We are joining the draft Kings, $ 100, 000 NFL season long
- 6:25Speaker 2: pick them pool. It's a $ 50 entry, $ 20, 000 to first place.
- 6:31Speaker 2: And Kendra and I plan on taking it. So if
- 6:34Speaker 2: you want to go head to head with us, go
- 6:37Speaker 2: to draft Kings. And speaking of the best sports app
- 6:40Speaker 2: in the land, let's hear more about them.

- 7:21Speaker 1: DraftKings, the crown is yours.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Time for this week's injury analysis with Dr. David Chow
- 7:27Speaker 2: joining us from six score.com. Our go-to source for injury news, information, projections,
- 7:33Speaker 2: and pricing. Uh, I need a quick read doc on
- 7:37Speaker 2: this Sam Darnold situation. We're going to focus primarily on
- 7:40Speaker 2: what's in front of us, but this was big really
- 7:43Speaker 2: early on into that first game of the season. Sam
- 7:45Speaker 2: Darnold goes down with what looked like an ankle injury
- 7:48Speaker 2: to me turned out to be a hip injury. And
- 7:51Speaker 2: he did not return. So what's the outlook based on
- 7:54Speaker 2: your perspective?
- 7:55Speaker 5: Yeah, I saw a lot on Twitter from, quote, Twitter doctors, head, shoulders, knees,
- 7:59Speaker 5: and toes, from ankle to knee to PCL. Now, it
- 8:03Speaker 5: was a hip injury, a hip potential subluxation. The first
- 8:09Speaker 5: bad news has already been ruled out, which is a
- 8:12Speaker 5: clear fracture. And that's why the CT scan, because x-rays
- 8:16Speaker 5: at the stadium are only two-dimensional. A CT scan is three-dimensional.
- 8:20Speaker 5: And with a hip, ball, and socket joint, you need three-dimensional.
- 8:24Speaker 5: So that's good news. Now an MRI incoming to rule
- 8:27Speaker 5: out bone bruise, microscopic fracture, labral tear, and potential nerve stretch.
- 8:34Speaker 5: So there's still more hurdles to come, but at least
- 8:36Speaker 5: we've gone from, oh my God, this could be season
- 8:39Speaker 5: ending to, boy, he'll be, seems like he'll be back
- 8:43Speaker 5: this year. The question is when, and can he even
- 8:47Speaker 5: avoid short-term IR? But I think he's going to miss
- 8:50Speaker 5: some time, clearly.
- 8:52Speaker 2: What about A.J. Brown with the ankle injury? Well, in-game,
- 8:56Speaker 2: I don't.
- 8:56Speaker 5: Know if you guys are aware, your viewers or listeners,
- 8:59Speaker 5: but we do in-game injury analysis from my time in
- 9:02Speaker 5: the NFL. I look at injuries in real time. We
- 9:05Speaker 5: said that's a high ankle sprain, very hard to continue.
- 9:08Speaker 5: And now it's been confirmed as a high ankle sprain.
- 9:11Speaker 5: severity will determine how many weeks, but hear what I
- 9:15Speaker 5: just said, weeks, not days, right? It would be great
- 9:19Speaker 5: news if he could avoid a four-week short-term IR. That
- 9:23Speaker 5: remains to be seen.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Well, bad news for the Patriots.
- 9:28Speaker 3: I guess maybe some unfortunate but good news for the
- 9:30Speaker 3: Jacksonville Jaguars in a couple of weeks.
- 9:32Speaker 1: My Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 9:34Speaker 3: I don't want to skip too far ahead here, but
- 9:36Speaker 3: I think the biggest thing that we talked about the
- 9:37Speaker 3: last time we had you on was Patrick Mahomes.
- 9:39Speaker 1: He is indeed going to start week one.
- 9:42Speaker 3: What can you tell us about his start?
- 9:44Speaker 1: Will he be 100%? Where do you expect him to be?
- 9:47Speaker 5: This was an LCL and ACL injury that we said
- 9:51Speaker 5: from the war room when it happened in December. This
- 9:53Speaker 5: is more complicated than an ACL. It is great news
- 9:57Speaker 5: that he is able to play football and he is starting.
- 10:00Speaker 5: but there is no physiological way that he is 100%.
- 10:03Speaker 5: This is why they were careful. Look, the question is,
- 10:07Speaker 5: is it worth playing Patrick Mahomes? They determined that it is.
- 10:10Speaker 5: You always want him, but what do they say? You
- 10:13Speaker 5: can't win the Super Bowl in week one, but you
- 10:15Speaker 5: can lose the Super Bowl in week one. And they're
- 10:18Speaker 5: confident enough to let him play with a brace. Look,
- 10:21Speaker 5: I think there'll be ball out. They'll have some protection schemes.
- 10:25Speaker 5: You're not going to see a lot of scrambling. They're
- 10:27Speaker 5: going to say, get down, throw the ball away and
- 10:30Speaker 5: play with a modified Patrick Mahomes. Great to see him
- 10:33Speaker 5: out there. And I get it. 85% of Patrick Mahomes
- 10:37Speaker 5: is way better than most of the rest of the league.
- 10:40Speaker 5: So I get why they want to play him. But medically,
- 10:42Speaker 5: there's no way he's 100%.
- 10:44Speaker 3: I want to talk about the Raiders as well. Obviously,
- 10:47Speaker 3: some injury news coming out about Brock Bowers. Ashton Gentry's
- 10:50Speaker 3: ankle sprain has been a huge topic of conversation.
- 10:53Speaker 1: What do you think about those two?
- 10:54Speaker 3: Well, I don't understand why Brock Bowers had something with
- 10:58Speaker 3: his meniscus worked on a day or two before the
- 11:01Speaker 3: season's supposed to start. And then we just talked about,
- 11:04Speaker 3: you know, high ankle sprains, low ankle sprains. What do
- 11:06Speaker 3: you expect from Ashton Gentry as well?
- 11:08Speaker 5: Much more optimistic on Ashton Gentry returning before Brock Bowers returns.
- 11:14Speaker 5: I think Ashton Gentry is probably just a simple low
- 11:17Speaker 5: ankle sprain.
- 11:19Speaker 2: Look, we do.
- 11:20Speaker 5: Something, we follow coach speak very closely. We have a
- 11:25Speaker 5: beat on who tells the truth, who lets out what,
- 11:30Speaker 5: and by reading the coaches and what they say and
- 11:33Speaker 5: looking at their press conferences, And then correlating to what
- 11:36Speaker 5: reality is. I don't have a beat on Clint Kubiak yet,
- 11:39Speaker 5: but an end size of two, he doesn't say much
- 11:43Speaker 5: of anything. Now for Aston Gentry, not saying much of
- 11:47Speaker 5: anything has led people to believe that it was way
- 11:51Speaker 5: worse than than what I'm thinking. And Brock Bowers, even
- 11:55Speaker 5: after the knee scope, he denied there was anything going on.
- 11:59Speaker 5: So he's early out of the gate going to be
- 12:02Speaker 5: someone who just doesn't say anything. And how do you
- 12:05Speaker 5: read into that? It depends on the injury. Brock Bowers,
- 12:09Speaker 5: the concern is, look, this isn't a Ricky Pearsall situation
- 12:13Speaker 5: where it's PCL reconstruction, but it is a PCL injury.
- 12:17Speaker 5: And when the knee shifts some, the PCL, you can
- 12:20Speaker 5: tear your meniscus. This is a trim, not a repair.
- 12:23Speaker 5: This is not a Max Crosby repair, longer recovery. This
- 12:27Speaker 5: is a trim. So I think he can avoid short-term IR.
- 12:32Speaker 5: He's going to miss some time, but hopefully he'll be
- 12:34Speaker 5: back ahead of the fifth week, which would keep him
- 12:37Speaker 5: off of injured reserve.
- 12:39Speaker 2: Malik neighbors looks to be giving it a go on
- 12:42Speaker 2: Sunday night football for the New York giants. We didn't
- 12:45Speaker 2: really see a lot of him throughout training camp in
- 12:47Speaker 2: the preseason. Would you be surprised if he had a
- 12:51Speaker 2: full snap allotment?
- 12:53Speaker 5: Yes, we faded him all this season, offseason at sickpicks.com,
- 12:58Speaker 5: unders this, that, the other seasonally. Look, he had a
- 13:01Speaker 5: second surgery. He looked a hot mess this offseason. The
- 13:04Speaker 5: second surgery has accelerated his recovery, so that's great news.
- 13:09Speaker 5: But he's a speed wide receiver that relies on cuts.
- 13:14Speaker 5: He's not a big bodied wide receiver positionally, right? And
- 13:18Speaker 5: so those guys get affected more by this. So not
- 13:23Speaker 5: thinking he's going to do a lot. And we do
- 13:26Speaker 5: have injury rankings and projections, and I don't have the
- 13:29Speaker 5: number on top of me, but he's probably like minus 27%
- 13:32Speaker 5: out of the gate on projections for DFS or fantasies.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Last question for me.
- 13:39Speaker 3: I just want to know your thoughts on Daniel Jones
- 13:41Speaker 3: coming back from the Achilles. I don't know how a
- 13:44Speaker 3: 29-year-old is 100% that quickly from a torn Achilles, but
- 13:47Speaker 3: I know that the technology has changed in the last
- 13:49Speaker 3: couple of years and the recovery and everything like that.
- 13:52Speaker 3: So what are your expectations for him ahead of week one?
- 13:54Speaker 5: Well, I'm more amazed that George Kittle can play tight
- 13:58Speaker 5: end than Daniel Jones play quarterback. You have to understand
- 14:03Speaker 5: that Phillip Rivers, my good friend, was way less mobile
- 14:07Speaker 5: than Daniel Jones and did a serviceable job at quarterback
- 14:10Speaker 5: when he tore his Achilles. So that's part of the equation,
- 14:13Speaker 5: the position that he plays. Is he 100%? Probably not.
- 14:16Speaker 5: Can he play the position of quarterback effectively? Yes, I
- 14:19Speaker 5: believe he will be fine for week one and for
- 14:23Speaker 5: this season as The Achilles shouldn't be much of an excuse. Yes,
- 14:26Speaker 5: he runs some, but, you know, and that may hamper
- 14:29Speaker 5: a little bit of his escapability and running ability, but
- 14:32Speaker 5: from the pocket, I think he should be fully effective.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Let's talk about Jonathan Brooks, a guy that has a very,
- 14:41Speaker 2: very rich injury history. He was drafted out of Texas
- 14:44Speaker 2: and dealt with injuries coming into the NFL. And then
- 14:47Speaker 2: when he was trying to make his way back last year,
- 14:49Speaker 2: what are his chances of re-injury? I've seen a lot
- 14:53Speaker 2: of that fantasy optimism surrounding Jonathan Brooks, but this is
- 14:56Speaker 2: a guy that's had a lot of trouble staying on
- 14:58Speaker 2: the field for the Panthers.
- 15:00Speaker 5: Well, he had a re-tear of his ACL and not
- 15:04Speaker 5: sure of the circumstances of his first ACL, but ACLs
- 15:08Speaker 5: fixed appropriately can do well as long as you don't
- 15:11Speaker 5: have cartilage damage. So I am one of those guys
- 15:14Speaker 5: and I might be one of those guys that may
- 15:16Speaker 5: have spurred on the fantasy optimism of Jonathan Brooks, looking
- 15:22Speaker 5: at it from a medical perspective. And remember now, this
- 15:26Speaker 5: is his second year out, second year back, admittedly from
- 15:30Speaker 5: a second ACL, not his first year back. Remember what
- 15:33Speaker 5: happened to Saquon his first year back from his first ACL.
- 15:38Speaker 5: He didn't do much and everyone hated him for fantasy
- 15:40Speaker 5: and everything else. And I was the first, let me
- 15:43Speaker 5: have them the second year back. And he had a
- 15:45Speaker 5: big year, his second year back.
- 15:47Speaker 2: So let's wrap with this is we're going to send
- 15:49Speaker 2: some people to six score.com. I've been using this site
- 15:53Speaker 2: for the last couple of years. It's one of the
- 15:55Speaker 2: reasons I was so excited to bring you onto this podcast.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Cause I think it helps a lot. In trying to
- 16:01Speaker 2: form a number out of the injuries that impact these teams,
- 16:06Speaker 2: not just for the guys that are missing. Cause I
- 16:08Speaker 2: think that part is easier, but for guys that are hurt,
- 16:12Speaker 2: that are playing through injury and you price all of
- 16:14Speaker 2: that in, if you go to your game views, you
- 16:17Speaker 2: have a sick edge that favors one team or the
- 16:21Speaker 2: other based on injury. Can you just explain the process of.
- 16:26Speaker 2: how you distill down to that number and how a
- 16:28Speaker 2: sports better should use that in their handicapping.
- 16:32Speaker 5: I love coming on your show regularly to be able
- 16:34Speaker 5: to talk about this because your audience is educated and
- 16:38Speaker 5: we are perfect for an educated audience. Look, everyone knows
- 16:42Speaker 5: when a quarterback is injured in the line moves, but
- 16:44Speaker 5: do you really know what's happening on the Carolina Panthers
- 16:48Speaker 5: and their offensive line, for example, and the shuffle and
- 16:50Speaker 5: the injuries that are going on there? We distill that down,
- 16:53Speaker 5: not only injuries, but the line movement shuffle. And we
- 16:58Speaker 5: literally not only grade every player and every team, we
- 17:01Speaker 5: grade every offense and every defense. We have matchups of
- 17:05Speaker 5: this week's Miami Dolphins offense against the Las Vegas Raiders defense.
- 17:12Speaker 5: We have Miami Dolphins O-line score against the run and
- 17:17Speaker 5: the pass defense. against a D-line score or a defensive
- 17:21Speaker 5: score against a run in the past for the Raiders.
- 17:24Speaker 5: And we put that together. I do the injury scoring
- 17:27Speaker 5: with our team, and then we put it in an algorithm,
- 17:31Speaker 5: an algorithm that Norv Turner and others help us put
- 17:34Speaker 5: together to spit out numbers of value in terms of ranking.
- 17:38Speaker 5: So Really, we're that finite in terms of what's happening.
- 17:42Speaker 5: And for fantasy DFS world, it's also the.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Opponent, right?
- 17:46Speaker 5: Look, you need to know if you want a wide receiver,
- 17:50Speaker 5: you need to know the health of your offensive line
- 17:52Speaker 5: against the pass, the health of your quarterback, but also
- 17:54Speaker 5: the health of the secondary that you're facing, right? That's
- 17:57Speaker 5: what we have. For the lazy people, we have Sick
- 18:00Speaker 5: Picks and whatever and Steve Fezzik. But your crowd is

- 18:45Speaker 2: We'll do it again next week. Thank you. It's a
- 18:47Speaker 2: Thursday show. No time for news. We're going game by game.
- 18:52Speaker 2: If there's anything you need to know, we'll tell you.
- 18:55Speaker 2: John Yastrzemski is our guest this week to help us
- 18:58Speaker 2: preview the action. You can find John on New York,
- 19:01Speaker 2: New York via underscore media. A busy man had a
- 19:04Speaker 2: post-game show last night. John, we're going to need you
- 19:07Speaker 2: to settle some disputes here as we go game by game.
- 19:11Speaker 2: And you're going to nominate one of our five picks
- 19:14Speaker 2: that we're throwing in the DraftKings contest this week. How
- 19:17Speaker 2: are you doing, my friend?
- 19:18Speaker 4: Gang, fantastic. We're running on fuel, running on adrenaline. I
- 19:23Speaker 4: think I'm still sweating through my suit from last night,
- 19:25Speaker 4: but it's week one and I lose my first bet
- 19:28Speaker 4: of the year. So we're off to a high flying start.
- 19:30Speaker 4: Let's go.
- 19:31Speaker 2: I like to get rid of the L's out of
- 19:33Speaker 2: the gate, you know, and build to win. So we
- 19:37Speaker 2: were both on Seattle. All three of us were on
- 19:40Speaker 2: Seattle minus three and a half. So We'll take the
- 19:43Speaker 2: L and we will move on. Let's start with the
- 19:45Speaker 2: saints and the lions lines laying seven points here. Total
- 19:49Speaker 2: sitting at 49 and a half. It's America's favorite team.
- 19:53Speaker 2: The lions have become the darling of NFL fans against
- 19:56Speaker 2: America's favorite sleeper. Everyone seems to be in on the
- 20:00Speaker 2: surprise year of the saints. This season lions off a
- 20:04Speaker 2: disappointing season last year, they finished last place. in the division,
- 20:08Speaker 2: new offensive coordinator for them. They reshuffle the old line.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Pen a soul is sliding from right to left. Uh,
- 20:16Speaker 2: Dan Campbell, by the way, 14 and four ATS in September.
- 20:20Speaker 2: I find myself a little bit stuck in the middle here. Kendra,
- 20:24Speaker 2: what's your initial read on this game?
- 20:27Speaker 1: I also find myself in the middle here.
- 20:29Speaker 3: I want to believe in Tyler Shuck, but I think
- 20:31Speaker 3: for the first few weeks of the season until I'm
- 20:33Speaker 3: really bought into the Saints team, I need to see
- 20:35Speaker 3: what he can show me. Just because he was one
- 20:37Speaker 3: of these guys didn't start his season last year, but
- 20:39Speaker 3: had some really serious momentum towards the end of it.
- 20:42Speaker 3: I also think that they retooled, did good things for
- 20:45Speaker 3: him in the offseason, but I need a couple weeks
- 20:46Speaker 3: of prove it before I can get on such a
- 20:48Speaker 3: high number.
- 20:50Speaker 2: John, are you willing to lay it with the Lions?
- 20:53Speaker 2: Are you buying into that early season mentality Saints with
- 20:57Speaker 2: some value as everybody's sexy sleeper team.
- 21:01Speaker 4: Okay, gang. So these are two teams that I have
- 21:03Speaker 4: futures on. I have the Saints to go and win
- 21:05Speaker 4: the NFC South. I bet the Lions over for wins
- 21:08Speaker 4: because of the schedule. I think it's very conducive to
- 21:11Speaker 4: go on and win double digit games. As far as
- 21:14Speaker 4: this week one matchup, Kendra, let's get on the Tyler
- 21:18Speaker 4: Shuck bandwagon. I love what I saw over the final
- 21:21Speaker 4: eight weeks of last year. I think Kellen Moore can coach.
- 21:25Speaker 4: The Saints defense played much better as the season went along.
- 21:29Speaker 4: Here's my thing about this game. It's not going to
- 21:31Speaker 4: be one of my five, but the reason I lean
- 21:34Speaker 4: towards New Orleans, you guys know There are obvious tease
- 21:39Speaker 4: candidates that people are going to rush to the betting
- 21:42Speaker 4: window and say, hey, I get the Lions down to
- 21:44Speaker 4: pick them. There's another game we're going to get to. Oh,
- 21:47Speaker 4: I get this team down to pick them. Seems a
- 21:49Speaker 4: little too easy. Seems a little too good to be true.
- 21:52Speaker 4: And despite all of the prowess and firepower that the
- 21:55Speaker 4: Lion offense is bringing to the table, gang, I got
- 21:58Speaker 4: serious questions about that defense. I think you're going to
- 22:02Speaker 4: be able to move the ball on that defense. So
- 22:04Speaker 4: I expect this game to be high scoring. I think
- 22:07Speaker 4: there is serious backdoor potential. Not one of my favorite
- 22:11Speaker 4: games of the week, but if I'm playing it, I'm
- 22:13Speaker 4: going to give you guys a point for every game.
- 22:14Speaker 4: That's what we do around here. I would take the
- 22:16Speaker 4: Saints plus the points. Yeah.
- 22:18Speaker 2: To me, it would be saints or pass. I'm, I'm
- 22:21Speaker 2: too bought in on the hype to lay seven with Detroit,
- 22:24Speaker 2: even with the injury to cam Jordan. I think they're
- 22:27Speaker 2: alive to pull off the upset as well. Are we
- 22:30Speaker 2: wanting to put this into our five? So we have
- 22:34Speaker 2: already locked in the 49ers plus three and a half.
- 22:37Speaker 2: That's one. We've got five to throw into the draft
- 22:40Speaker 2: Kings contest. And the Cardinals will get to them plus
- 22:44Speaker 2: ten and a half. No doubt. We already know we
- 22:46Speaker 2: love the Redbirds on this show. So we've got three.
- 22:49Speaker 2: We've got to be pretty selective. We're only on game
- 22:52Speaker 2: number one. Are we willing to throw the Saints in?
- 22:54Speaker 2: They are seven and a half in the contest, which
- 22:57Speaker 2: does make this a little more appealing that we get
- 22:58Speaker 2: the hook as well.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Kendra, I don't think I can get there. I'd love to.
- 23:03Speaker 3: If this were in New Orleans, I would be all
- 23:05Speaker 3: over it.
- 23:06Speaker 1: But home opener for Detroit can't get there.
- 23:09Speaker 4: Can I just say that I love the two picks
- 23:11Speaker 4: you guys have made right out of the gate. I'm
- 23:14Speaker 4: team Niner gang. Believe it or not, this knucklehead picked
- 23:17Speaker 4: the Niners in his preseason picks a few days ago
- 23:20Speaker 4: to win the Super Bowl. Cause like giving out chalk
- 23:23Speaker 4: is no fun. I went with a John candy Niners
- 23:26Speaker 4: over Bengal super bowl. So we'll get to both of
- 23:29Speaker 4: those teams later, but I like where you guys are
- 23:31Speaker 4: at immediately here. This is good. It's very good.
- 23:33Speaker 2: All right. We've got full consensus. Uh, everybody's come by
- 23:37Speaker 2: to start the year. It's amazing. For now, the Jags
- 23:41Speaker 2: laying eight and a half against the Cleveland Browns total
- 23:44Speaker 2: sitting at 40 and a half new year, new coach
- 23:47Speaker 2: for the Brownies, Todd Monken's debut game here against the team.
- 23:51Speaker 2: That won 13 games last season, seven and two straight
- 23:54Speaker 2: up at home. Best record against the spread last year.
- 23:58Speaker 2: Our cats, Kendra's Jaguars, Travis Hunter back on the field.
- 24:02Speaker 2: Nothing not to like about the Jacksonville Jaguars. I'd be
- 24:06Speaker 2: willing to throw the Jaguars into the contest and we
- 24:09Speaker 2: get them at seven and a half in contest play
- 24:13Speaker 2: line moving in the direction of Jacksonville. Can you talk
- 24:16Speaker 2: me off of your team, Kendra?
- 24:18Speaker 1: No, I can't. This was going to be one of
- 24:20Speaker 1: my nominations.
- 24:20Speaker 3: We talked about this slightly at the end of the
- 24:22Speaker 3: show the other day. I get that week one is weird,
- 24:25Speaker 3: but the Cleveland Browns are weirder. And the fact that
- 24:28Speaker 3: it's at home, I've never seen a crowd that hates
- 24:31Speaker 3: anybody as much as the Jacksonville Jaguars hate Deshaun Watson.
- 24:35Speaker 1: They started.
- 24:36Speaker 3: I don't think we can talk about it on this show,
- 24:37Speaker 3: even though we are a rather PG-13 R-rated friendly show.
- 24:41Speaker 3: But look up some of the chants at the Jacksonville
- 24:44Speaker 3: Jaguars versus Browns. home game in Jacksonville last time if
- 24:47Speaker 3: you would like a preview I think just the fact
- 24:49Speaker 3: that he's complaining about people hating him already in this
- 24:52Speaker 3: season it's gonna be real bad real quick I get
- 24:54Speaker 3: that I'm all over the Browns this season but I
- 24:56Speaker 3: expect Liam Cohen to run it up.
- 25:00Speaker 4: Uh this is where I get to be the bad
- 25:01Speaker 4: guy sorry guys I can't get there I can't get
- 25:04Speaker 4: there listen I know Kendra I'm taking sides against the
- 25:08Speaker 4: family here and taking Cleveland in this spot here's my
- 25:12Speaker 4: problem Every preseason narrative is looking at Cleveland. Deshaun Watson, toxic.
- 25:21Speaker 4: Todd Munkin, coolest. I actually think there's talent on this
- 25:25Speaker 4: Cleveland team. And I have games every week. And I
- 25:29Speaker 4: think you guys will learn this as we go forward.
- 25:32Speaker 4: There are lines that stink to the high heavens. This
- 25:36Speaker 4: is one of my rat lines of the week. I
- 25:38Speaker 4: think this line absolutely stinks because everything.
- 25:40Speaker 1: You get one veto. Is this your one veto?
- 25:43Speaker 2: Everybody gets a veto here. So right now, Jack's minus
- 25:46Speaker 2: seven and a half is in. If Kendra and I agree,
- 25:49Speaker 2: it's in.
- 25:49Speaker 4: No, I can't do that right now.
- 25:51Speaker 2: No, no.
- 25:51Speaker 4: If you guys do, I can't veto game two right
- 25:54Speaker 4: out of the gate here. I can't do it. Now listen.
- 25:57Speaker 5: No, no, no, no.
- 25:57Speaker 1: I have a play to give out that we can
- 25:59Speaker 1: agree on.
- 26:00Speaker 3: I do personally have logged in the app, the over app.
- 26:03Speaker 1: In this game at 40 and a.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Half, you talk about disgusting it over in this game
- 26:08Speaker 2: with Deshaun Watson operating an offense wide receivers.
- 26:12Speaker 3: Because he'll cough it up, but they can run the ball.
- 26:17Speaker 3: And Jacksonville will run it up.
- 26:18Speaker 1: It's a gross over.
- 26:20Speaker 4: I actually kind of like it. I kind of like
- 26:22Speaker 4: it to Kendra's point where if you have a couple
- 26:24Speaker 4: of short fields, then all of a sudden a game
- 26:26Speaker 4: that looks really icky and really gross. Oh, my goodness.
- 26:29Speaker 4: How did this team end up with 27 points? That's
- 26:32Speaker 4: kind of how you get there. But I am not
- 26:34Speaker 4: using my veto power because I feel like I might
- 26:37Speaker 4: need it a little bit later on in the segment.
- 26:39Speaker 4: But just so everybody is clear, John Jastrzemski will not
- 26:42Speaker 4: be betting the Jaguars on Sunday.
- 26:45Speaker 2: So trends guy, Evan Abrams, Evan, you also get a veto.
- 26:49Speaker 2: If you want to pop in at any point and
- 26:50Speaker 2: just strike down any of these picks. I feel like
- 26:53Speaker 2: if there's one that you would put the kibosh on,
- 26:57Speaker 2: it would be a heavy favorite in week one. Are
- 26:59Speaker 2: you willing to, uh, before we move on, I just
- 27:02Speaker 2: want to make sure that we're all good. All copacetic
- 27:04Speaker 2: on the Jags minus seven and a half.
- 27:06Speaker 1: I think if we have one that we agree on altogether,
- 27:09Speaker 1: that's better. I would listen. But right now this is
- 27:11Speaker 1: that third slot for me.
- 27:13Speaker 6: I don't have an issue with this one because I
- 27:16Speaker 6: don't necessarily love either side in this game, and I
- 27:19Speaker 6: hate to be that guy, but it's more or less
- 27:21Speaker 6: like if I'm going to pick a big favorite, I
- 27:23Speaker 6: could see Jacksonville covering in this one because of the
- 27:26Speaker 6: Watson factor, and I have no interest in Cleveland, especially
- 27:29Speaker 6: with a new coach in Munkin.
- 27:30Speaker 2: I kind of want to wait and see. My question
- 27:32Speaker 2: was going to be a little different.
- 27:34Speaker 6: The over in this game or the over in the
- 27:37Speaker 6: Raiders game, I think are both just interesting.
- 27:40Speaker 4: Same exact number. Evan, I think that's an easy call.
- 27:43Speaker 4: Over in the Miami Raider game.
- 27:45Speaker 2: I kind of agree.
- 27:46Speaker 4: Does anybody know anybody on the Miami Dolphin defense? And
- 27:49Speaker 4: I know Brock Bowers is not playing, so it might
- 27:51Speaker 4: change the calculus. And the Dolphins, in theory, should be
- 27:54Speaker 4: able to score on Vegas. Dude, I love the over
- 27:57Speaker 4: in that game.
- 27:58Speaker 1: I already met the under.
- 28:00Speaker 4: Oh, Kenji, we're fighting already. Jeez.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Back to programming.
- 28:04Speaker 4: All right.
- 28:04Speaker 2: Let's not skip. Let's not skip ahead. Moving on to
- 28:08Speaker 2: get to bears, Panthers, Panthers plus three at home total
- 28:14Speaker 2: at 47 and a half. Both teams made it to
- 28:16Speaker 2: the post season last year. Both won their divisions. One
- 28:19Speaker 2: was sub 500 and doing so. But Caleb Williams, the
- 28:23Speaker 2: all hype squad, the Madden cover boy this year, his
- 28:25Speaker 2: third season in the NFL, second in Ben Johnson's offense.
- 28:29Speaker 2: The defense is the question mark with that team. Their
- 28:32Speaker 2: bottom five unit coming back from last year. Kendra, the
- 28:36Speaker 2: Panthers were our squad last season. No team made us
- 28:40Speaker 2: more money than the Carolina Panthers. So I might have
- 28:42Speaker 2: to be talked off of them catching a field goal
- 28:45Speaker 2: at home.
- 28:46Speaker 3: No, I don't want anything to do with this. I
- 28:48Speaker 3: feel like the Panthers had their luck last year. Might
- 28:50Speaker 3: have been a lightning in a bottle situation. Bad division,
- 28:53Speaker 3: but with a happy Baker and things looking up in
- 28:56Speaker 3: New Orleans, I don't want anything to do with this
- 28:57Speaker 3: team this year.
- 28:59Speaker 4: That's fine, Kendra, but for week one, I kind of do.
- 29:04Speaker 4: The Bears are the most public sided a week. Isn't
- 29:08Speaker 4: that like an auto play on the Panthers? And listen,
- 29:11Speaker 4: I know the hype train is off the charts for
- 29:13Speaker 4: Caleb Williams and for Ben Johnson, and I get it
- 29:17Speaker 4: and I understand it. The Bears defense stinks. Like, Carolina
- 29:22Speaker 4: should be able to move the ball and have offensive success. Now,
- 29:26Speaker 4: if we were getting three in the hook here, I'd
- 29:28Speaker 4: be pounding the table for Carolina. This is another one
- 29:31Speaker 4: of these icky ones. To me, this is a Carolina
- 29:34Speaker 4: or pass type of spot.
- 29:35Speaker 2: Which also is important an important note because in the
- 29:38Speaker 2: contest there are no flat lines so it's three right
- 29:40Speaker 2: now on draft kings but it's two and a half
- 29:42Speaker 2: in the contest that's not something that I think I'm
- 29:45Speaker 2: just not I.
- 29:46Speaker 3: Also cannot be I cannot be in on a team
- 29:50Speaker 3: where their left tackle is out in their running back
- 29:53Speaker 3: rooms already decimated I don't care if the defense is
- 29:56Speaker 3: good I don't want anything to do with this All right,
- 29:58Speaker 3: so it's.
- 29:58Speaker 4: A hand wave from Kendra. Okay. That's fine. There are
- 30:01Speaker 4: other plays.
- 30:01Speaker 2: There are other plays. I thought maybe we'd go like
- 30:04Speaker 2: one more time for the road, pour one out for
- 30:06Speaker 2: the Panthers, who are definitely not going to be as
- 30:07Speaker 2: profitable this year.
- 30:08Speaker 1: In the arms of the angels. We're euthanizing those kitties. Sorry.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Home dogs in week one, Evan, before we move on completely.
- 30:19Speaker 6: Absolutely goddamn nothing. Did this on the other one. It's
- 30:23Speaker 6: actually just completely even.
- 30:24Speaker 2: It's flat, isn't it? Yeah.
- 30:27Speaker 4: So there's not much of an advantage there at home
- 30:29Speaker 4: dogs in week one. Interesting. Something that simple isn't.
- 30:33Speaker 2: I mean, there's other trends, this, this, and that, but
- 30:35Speaker 2: it's not home dogs now. Like divisional home dog is
- 30:37Speaker 2: really where you want to look. We'll get to that
- 30:39Speaker 2: with Sunday Night Football. Let's go to Pittsburgh where the
- 30:44Speaker 2: Steelers are laying three and a half against the Atlanta Falcons.
- 30:47Speaker 1: I know what you're about to do to me.
- 30:51Speaker 2: I know that it feels like the last five months
- 30:55Speaker 2: has been this feeling of like building towards me, trying
- 30:59Speaker 2: to convince you to take the Falcons against the spread
- 31:01Speaker 2: in week one. I actually hate them this week. And
- 31:06Speaker 2: this is a team I have been buying stock in
- 31:09Speaker 2: on for the last couple of months. The NFC south
- 31:12Speaker 2: is not a good division. So why not take the
- 31:14Speaker 2: long shot? I still feel that way, but early in
- 31:17Speaker 2: the season is not where I want to fade the
- 31:19Speaker 2: Pittsburgh Steelers, Mike McCarthy, Aaron Rogers. There is some familiarity there.
- 31:25Speaker 2: You've got to a, who has not done anything right
- 31:27Speaker 2: so far in the off season, trying to learn a
- 31:30Speaker 2: new offense, going up against a defense that at least
- 31:33Speaker 2: early in the season, they're old. But it's week one.
- 31:37Speaker 2: Everybody's fresh. I don't want to fade the Steelers yet,
- 31:39Speaker 2: so I'm actually not going to nominate the Atlanta Falcons,
- 31:43Speaker 2: which may come as a surprise to any of our.
- 31:45Speaker 4: Well, thank goodness, because my veto was coming into play, Krabby,
- 31:49Speaker 4: if you threw the Falcons in there. That was not happening.
- 31:53Speaker 3: I also have the under in this game. Because everybody's incompetent.
- 31:56Speaker 3: I get that the Steelers have a good defense, which
- 31:58Speaker 3: helps my argument here, but the incompetence from the top
- 32:02Speaker 3: down on both sides, I don't know.
- 32:05Speaker 1: There's no way.
- 32:06Speaker 2: Aaron Rodgers is taste.
- 32:07Speaker 4: So this is not my nominee, but I love the
- 32:09Speaker 4: Steelers in this spot, guys.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Okay.
- 32:11Speaker 4: Come on. The last time we saw Tua quarterback, and
- 32:14Speaker 4: I know the temperature is going to be a little
- 32:15Speaker 4: different in Pittsburgh come September than what it was in
- 32:19Speaker 4: December or But it was interceptions. It was ducks. It
- 32:23Speaker 4: was a quarterback who couldn't escape a pass rush. And
- 32:27Speaker 4: I think you get, like, that feel-good story. McCarthy, the
- 32:30Speaker 4: hometown boy, week one in Pittsburgh. Aaron Rodgers' body isn't
- 32:35Speaker 4: decaying yet. To me, the Steelers.
- 32:38Speaker 1: Is it not?
- 32:39Speaker 4: I mean, it is and it's not. You know what
- 32:42Speaker 4: I mean. It will be worse by November, December. I
- 32:44Speaker 4: love the Steelers. I'd lay it. I wouldn't even think twice.
- 32:47Speaker 2: All I can think of is that image of Aaron
- 32:49Speaker 2: Rodgers running out onto the field with the American flag
- 32:51Speaker 2: on his shoulder.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Is Joey Porter Jr. going to play?
- 32:54Speaker 2: I have not seen him do it.
- 32:56Speaker 4: I don't think so.
- 32:56Speaker 2: I don't think we know yet.
- 32:58Speaker 4: I don't think so. And I don't think it matters
- 33:00Speaker 4: because the quarterback has to be able to get Drake
- 33:02Speaker 4: London the football. And I'm not convinced that he can.
- 33:06Speaker 1: So if anybody else wants to get on the under
- 33:08Speaker 1: with me.
- 33:09Speaker 4: Kendra, what is it, 41? 42 and a half.
- 33:11Speaker 1: 42 and a half.
- 33:13Speaker 4: The only question I have about the under is the
- 33:16Speaker 4: compromised state of the Atlanta pass rush because they had
- 33:19Speaker 4: some big injuries in training camp and how that's necessarily
- 33:23Speaker 4: going to play a role. Remember, the Steelers weirdly in
- 33:25Speaker 4: week one, if you want to go back to the
- 33:27Speaker 4: Jets and the Steelers, which was a very wonky week
- 33:30Speaker 4: one game a year ago. That was a game in
- 33:32Speaker 4: which the Steelers defense gave up a zillion points to
- 33:34Speaker 4: Justin Fields. They didn't cover, and Boswell hit like a
- 33:38Speaker 4: 60-something yard field goal to win the game. But Aaron
- 33:41Speaker 4: Rodgers was great. That's my only pause and hesitation.
- 33:45Speaker 1: He's just so old. I don't even care.
- 33:47Speaker 3: He's going to get hit one time and not get
- 33:49Speaker 3: back up one of these days.
- 33:52Speaker 1: His AI wife is going to have to be revealed.
- 33:54Speaker 4: Let's just hope it's not week one because I'm betting
- 33:56Speaker 4: the Steelers.
- 33:57Speaker 2: All right. Atlanta's only chance to be consistent offensively early
- 34:01Speaker 2: on is to get B John going and doing that
- 34:04Speaker 2: against the Steelers, a fresh Steelers defense at home. I
- 34:07Speaker 2: just think it's going to be tough sledding for him.
- 34:08Speaker 2: It would be Steelers under or nothing. And it's probably
- 34:11Speaker 2: going to be nothing for me under for Kendra. Easy
- 34:15Speaker 2: to move on past that one. Ravens Colts Colts catching
- 34:18Speaker 2: three and a half at home.
- 34:19Speaker 6: Total.
- 34:19Speaker 2: At 47 and a half. Jesse Minter making his debut
- 34:23Speaker 2: with the Baltimore Ravens. We'll get our first look at
- 34:25Speaker 2: that Declan Doyle offense as well. Lamar Jackson seems revitalized
- 34:30Speaker 2: now that he's not under the thumb of John Harbaugh.
- 34:33Speaker 2: And the opponent is a fascinating one. Nobody was more
- 34:36Speaker 2: Jekyll and Hyde last year than the Colts. Eight and
- 34:39Speaker 2: two at the start. Oh, and seven at the finish.
- 34:42Speaker 2: Lamar loves the turf. Lamar's great early on in the season.
- 34:47Speaker 2: I want to be on the Colts. Every number I
- 34:50Speaker 2: project says, take the Colts. I have such a hard
- 34:54Speaker 2: time fading Lamar Jackson and the Ravens early on in
- 34:57Speaker 2: the season, even with a new coach. This is a
- 35:00Speaker 2: really tough one for me. Kendra, you're nodding along. It
- 35:03Speaker 2: looks like you're ready to make a nomination.
- 35:06Speaker 1: This is my nomination.
- 35:09Speaker 3: The Colts were lightning in a bottle last year. I
- 35:11Speaker 3: really think that they're going to be the worst team
- 35:12Speaker 3: in this division this year. I think that that is
- 35:14Speaker 3: probably a hot take for some. I think the Titans
- 35:16Speaker 3: are going to make some moves. I have doubts in
- 35:18Speaker 3: Daniel Jones at 100%, let alone coming off of an injury,
- 35:21Speaker 3: especially because he's a.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Sneaky mobile quarterback. That's how he can beat teams at times.
- 35:26Speaker 3: Do we outside of Jonathan Taylor and Tyler Warren believe
- 35:28Speaker 3: in this offense?
- 35:29Speaker 1: I personally don't. And Lamar has a lot to prove.
- 35:31Speaker 3: He's great in the beginning of the season. Zay Flowers
- 35:33Speaker 3: also on a prove it moment. So it has to
- 35:36Speaker 3: start here for them. Got to whoop up on teams
- 35:38Speaker 3: like this.
- 35:40Speaker 4: John, I have no problem with this pick. Because Lamar
- 35:44Speaker 4: has been really good at the beginning of these years.
- 35:47Speaker 4: I can think of multiple years in Lamar Jackson's career
- 35:50Speaker 4: where he's just absolutely lit it up in the first
- 35:54Speaker 4: game of the season. And to me, there's just too
- 35:57Speaker 4: much unknown with the Colts because... You guys kind of
- 36:00Speaker 4: hit at it. They were an offensive juggernaut over the
- 36:04Speaker 4: first 10 weeks of the year. Daniel Jones was Comeback
- 36:06Speaker 4: Player of the Year. Jonathan Taylor was a beast. They
- 36:10Speaker 4: had Warren going. They had Pierce going. They had Michael Pittman,
- 36:13Speaker 4: who's now in Pittsburgh, going. And then Jones gets hurt,
- 36:16Speaker 4: and the team completely falls apart. I think it might
- 36:20Speaker 4: take Daniel Jones some time to get back into rhythm. And,
- 36:25Speaker 4: you know, Jesse Minner knows defense. All of a sudden,
- 36:29Speaker 4: Declan Doyle's thrown in some wrinkles that nobody has seen before.
- 36:32Speaker 4: I actually think there'll be points in this game. So
- 36:36Speaker 4: I kind of like an over here with the Ravens
- 36:37Speaker 4: and the Colts, but I'm not talking you off the Ravens, Kendra.
- 36:40Speaker 4: I totally get it.
- 36:41Speaker 2: I got to veto it.
- 36:44Speaker 1: Wow.
- 36:45Speaker 4: I have one more. I have one more in the chamber.
- 36:47Speaker 1: Your veto's out of the way. So I have one
- 36:50Speaker 1: more in the chamber.
- 36:51Speaker 4: Wow. Veto. Okay.
- 36:55Speaker 2: Evan, the trends as far as Daniel Jones on turf,
- 37:00Speaker 2: Shane Steichen at home, it feels like a pretty precarious
- 37:07Speaker 2: position to fade a team that has been a good
- 37:11Speaker 2: cover when they're healthy, especially at home early on in
- 37:15Speaker 2: the season, and it's three in the hook. I mean,
- 37:18Speaker 2: if the first game, Seattle and New England didn't teach
- 37:20Speaker 2: us anything, if it did teach us anything, it's that
- 37:23Speaker 2: that hook matters a ton. It does.
- 37:27Speaker 6: There's just lots of stuff both ways here. I mean,
- 37:29Speaker 6: you mentioned the indoor stuff, the turf. It's also which
- 37:32Speaker 6: Colts team you're kind of getting. And also Colts have
- 37:34Speaker 6: been abysmal in week ones in history, which I don't know,
- 37:37Speaker 6: says whatever about this team in this current roster. I
- 37:40Speaker 6: think it's mostly about Daniel Jones's health. If anything, I
- 37:43Speaker 6: think JJ's calling the over. There's a lot of things
- 37:46Speaker 6: pointing under, but I feel like 47 and a half
- 37:49Speaker 6: down two points from the opener at 49 and a half.
- 37:52Speaker 6: I just feel like there's an opportunity here indoors for
- 37:54Speaker 6: some points. I'm even thinking based on Kendra's thoughts, like
- 37:58Speaker 6: team total over for Baltimore, maybe.
- 38:00Speaker 5: Yep.
- 38:01Speaker 2: And Lamar 36 and a half on the rushing yards.
- 38:03Speaker 2: If you like them on the turf, that could be
- 38:05Speaker 2: a good way to look as well. Let's go to
- 38:06Speaker 2: the bucks and the bangles bangles minus three and a
- 38:09Speaker 2: half total sitting at 50 and a half. This could
- 38:11Speaker 2: be a firework show. between two of the better quarterbacks
- 38:15Speaker 2: in the NFL. We know Todd Bowles is throwing those
- 38:17Speaker 2: exotic blitzes at Burrow, but Burrow's superpower is handling the blitz.
- 38:22Speaker 2: Now the offensive line is, you know, always been a
- 38:24Speaker 2: little bit shaky, but Burrow reads a defense with the
- 38:26Speaker 2: best of them. This is a tough one. The over
- 38:29Speaker 2: would be a lot of fun. I kind of like
- 38:30Speaker 2: the idea of just taking passing yard overs on these quarterbacks.
- 38:34Speaker 2: If you want to get in on the fantasy side
- 38:36Speaker 2: of the action of this game, but Kendra, where are
- 38:38Speaker 2: you on this one? I I'm not nominating either of these.
- 38:41Speaker 3: Now, I don't want I don't want to nominate this either.
- 38:44Speaker 3: This wasn't the one I had in waiting. I just
- 38:47Speaker 3: I get that Baker Mayfield is deserving of the contract
- 38:51Speaker 3: that he got. I think he actually gave him a
- 38:52Speaker 3: little bit of a deal, but I don't know what
- 38:54Speaker 3: version of him we have. There are moments where he
- 38:56Speaker 3: looks like the best version of himself.
- 38:59Speaker 1: And when he's bad, he's bad.
- 39:00Speaker 3: And it feels like when he's bad, it's for an
- 39:02Speaker 3: entirety of a game or at least more than a
- 39:04Speaker 3: quarter or two. I'm just not ready to marry myself
- 39:07Speaker 3: to Baker Mayfield in a week one, especially when I
- 39:09Speaker 3: think that this is such an important game for the Bengals.
- 39:13Speaker 3: It's going to be a tough division. They need every
- 39:16Speaker 3: win they can get. The AFC is going to be tough.
- 39:17Speaker 3: I believe in Joe Burrow, but once again, the offensive line,
- 39:20Speaker 3: like you mentioned, is a question. Can they keep him
- 39:22Speaker 3: upright long enough to let him do his thing this year?
- 39:24Speaker 3: I don't want anything to do with this game. The
- 39:26Speaker 3: over is probably the only place I'd look, but I'm out.
- 39:30Speaker 4: The over's gotten a little too juiced for my liking.
- 39:32Speaker 4: I like Cincinnati here. I don't trust Tampa's defense. They
- 39:35Speaker 4: were awful down a stretch. I know people are going
- 39:37Speaker 4: to point to injuries. There are a lot of warning signs,
- 39:40Speaker 4: losing veteran leaders, my questions about the head coach. I
- 39:43Speaker 4: am not in on this Buccaneer team going into the year.
- 39:46Speaker 4: I am in on Cincinnati. Bengals are pass.
- 39:50Speaker 1: Can I say something?
- 39:51Speaker 3: I think that Baker not to like get on the
- 39:53Speaker 3: Liam Cohen like train here, but I think not having
- 39:57Speaker 3: him last year really hurt Baker.
- 39:59Speaker 1: And I'm wondering if that's going to continue.
- 40:02Speaker 2: And their offensive line was all banged up. So when
- 40:04Speaker 2: you when you add on the fact that the one
- 40:07Speaker 2: of the better offensive lines is not healthy and one
- 40:10Speaker 2: of the best offensive play callers left the room. It's
- 40:13Speaker 2: not a surprise that the Bucs fell off. This is
- 40:15Speaker 2: one of those games where something has to give because
- 40:17Speaker 2: the Bengals don't cover early on in the season with
- 40:20Speaker 2: Burrow and Zach Taylor. But the Buccaneers have failed to
- 40:23Speaker 2: cover nine straight games dating back to last season.
- 40:28Speaker 1: How short is Zach Taylor's leash? Also a question.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Pretty short.
- 40:31Speaker 4: They're cheap, so they'll keep them for the year. But yes,
- 40:34Speaker 4: if he doesn't win, he should get fired. But they're cheap,
- 40:36Speaker 4: so they won't fire him.
- 40:38Speaker 2: One of the cheapest franchises out there. All right, let's
- 40:40Speaker 2: go bills, Texans, Texans point and a half dogs, total
- 40:44Speaker 2: sitting at 44 and a half. This is the game
- 40:47Speaker 2: of the weekend to me. We are going to be
- 40:50Speaker 2: mark my words. Whoever wins this game will catch so
- 40:55Speaker 2: much hype from the media after the fact.
- 40:59Speaker 4: It will.
- 40:59Speaker 2: Yes, it will be nauseating. Whoever comes out on top
- 41:03Speaker 2: will be the darling of the media moving forward. It's
- 41:06Speaker 2: Josh Allen against the league's top defense. Official nomination for me.
- 41:11Speaker 2: I love the Houston Texans plus one and a half.
- 41:14Speaker 2: I'm fading Joe Brady in his debut game. Come on.
- 41:17Speaker 2: This defense at home has dogs all over it. Evan
- 41:21Speaker 2: and I had this one in May.
- 41:22Speaker 3: CJ Stroud looked like he cooped his pants walking into
- 41:24Speaker 3: the facility.
- 41:25Speaker 4: Kendra, they won last year with Davis Mills as their quarterback.
- 41:30Speaker 4: I was also going to make this my nominee. So
- 41:33Speaker 4: well done, Kravitz. You stole it from me. Kendra, come on.
- 41:36Speaker 4: Texans are winning this game. Their defense is unbelievable. And
- 41:39Speaker 4: look at Josh Allen's history playing in this building, going
- 41:42Speaker 4: all the way back to his second year when he
- 41:44Speaker 4: lost the playoff game to Deshaun Watson. I love the Texans.
- 41:48Speaker 4: Best defense in the league. All about that action. They
- 41:51Speaker 4: win the game outright. I don't even need the points.
- 41:55Speaker 2: But you're out.
- 41:56Speaker 4: Kendra, I'm kidding.
- 41:57Speaker 2: Don't do it, Kendra.
- 41:59Speaker 3: If this were a Week 10 game, I would be
- 42:01Speaker 3: all over the Bills here. I want to use this
- 42:04Speaker 3: as a veto, but there's one other game I'm worried
- 42:06Speaker 3: that you two shitheads are going to be in on.
- 42:08Speaker 4: Oh, boy.
- 42:11Speaker 2: All right. Then does that mean that it's in?
- 42:15Speaker 4: Nominee in. It's got to be, right?
- 42:17Speaker 2: Come on, Kendra. I've been wanting to put this in
- 42:20Speaker 2: since May.
- 42:22Speaker 4: I already bet it.
- 42:22Speaker 3: You guys are pissing me off and making me want
- 42:25Speaker 3: to veto it.
- 42:26Speaker 1: Because you're arguing.
- 42:28Speaker 2: Don't crush my dreams, Kendra.
- 42:31Speaker 1: You owe me one.
- 42:32Speaker 2: It's in. Yes.
- 42:33Speaker 4: Let's go.
- 42:34Speaker 2: All right.
- 42:35Speaker 3: You have to listen to my final nominee, though, because
- 42:37Speaker 3: we're getting close.
- 42:39Speaker 2: Okay. All right. All right. We got to keep it moving.
- 42:41Speaker 2: We're up against the clock here. Let's go to the Jets.
- 42:46Speaker 1: We don't need to talk about this. I have the under.
- 42:50Speaker 2: Okay.
- 42:51Speaker 4: Guys, I know I came on your pod doing the
- 42:53Speaker 4: AFC East, destroying the Jets. Now I've talked myself into
- 42:57Speaker 4: betting the Jets in week one. It's not my nominee,
- 43:00Speaker 4: but it's Jets or pass. The Titans are terrible.
- 43:04Speaker 1: I think the Titans are good.
- 43:06Speaker 2: The best way to bet this game. This is so easy, guys.
- 43:10Speaker 2: It's right under our nose, and it's even money on DraftKings.
- 43:14Speaker 2: Ham ward to throw an interception. New offense.
- 43:17Speaker 4: Didn't have one all last year. Crabby.
- 43:19Speaker 2: That's the point. This is, this should be like minus
- 43:23Speaker 2: one 40.
- 43:23Speaker 1: You two should kiss.
- 43:26Speaker 2: Let's do it.
- 43:27Speaker 4: Too much agreement. There we go.
- 43:31Speaker 2: Cam ward. I N T even money. All right, moving on.
- 43:34Speaker 2: Let's go to the four o'clock window. Commanders at Eagles
- 43:37Speaker 2: Eagles laying five and a half. It's four and a
- 43:38Speaker 2: half in contest. So I can be talked into Philadelphia.
- 43:41Speaker 2: The commander's were the regression Kings last year, NFC title participant,
- 43:46Speaker 2: the year prior five win team last year. Curious to
- 43:49Speaker 2: see how they bounce back from that divisional game week one.
- 43:54Speaker 2: I think a lot of people are going to want
- 43:55Speaker 2: to be on the dog here, but I love Philadelphia.
- 43:57Speaker 2: I like that. Jalen hurts. Doesn't have to worry about
- 44:00Speaker 2: AJ Brown anymore. They can have a little more variety
- 44:03Speaker 2: on offense. So I'd be Philly or nothing, but I
- 44:06Speaker 2: have a, my gut tells me this one doesn't end
- 44:09Speaker 2: up in our contest. Kendra.
- 44:11Speaker 3: Now, this number is a little too sharp for me.
- 44:13Speaker 3: I think Dan Quinn's going to turn back into a pumpkin.
- 44:15Speaker 3: There's obviously distractions around Jaden Daniels, and there's going to
- 44:18Speaker 3: continue to be kind of in this early stretch of
- 44:20Speaker 3: the season. But I don't believe in either of these sides.
- 44:24Speaker 3: I just need to see some more before I can
- 44:27Speaker 3: bet on either of them. I'm worried about both of
- 44:29Speaker 3: them through the season. I'm still on the Cowboys for
- 44:31Speaker 3: the division, but.
- 44:33Speaker 1: Gross number. Gross number.
- 44:35Speaker 4: Gang, I kind of like Washington. They always play Philly tough.
- 44:39Speaker 4: You're talking about a divisional game. I'm getting four and
- 44:42Speaker 4: a half points, and I don't trust the Eagle offense.
- 44:46Speaker 4: It's not my nominee, but it's Washington or pass to me.
- 44:50Speaker 4: I feel like this is a little stinky with the Eagles.
- 44:54Speaker 2: Evan, are we missing anything here? I mean, this is
- 44:56Speaker 2: a pretty, this is a pretty fat number on a
- 44:59Speaker 2: divisional underdog in week one.
- 45:00Speaker 6: It is, but the expectations on Washington are kind of
- 45:04Speaker 6: like a median between the chaos from last year and
- 45:07Speaker 6: the stuff the year before that. If you look at
- 45:09Speaker 6: the markets though, everyone kind of likes Philly in this game.
- 45:12Speaker 6: There isn't a lot of things on the public side
- 45:15Speaker 6: from Washington standpoint. So people are kind of just rolling
- 45:18Speaker 6: with the Eagles in this one. So I don't mind
- 45:20Speaker 6: JJ's look at the four and a half, but it,
- 45:22Speaker 6: It feels like Philly should take care of this one
- 45:26Speaker 6: in a seven-point win.
- 45:28Speaker 2: I think the Eagles are a sneaky good survivor pick
- 45:32Speaker 2: this week. Jalen Hurts, 32-7 straight up as a home
- 45:36Speaker 2: favorite with the Eagles, according to the Prima.
- 45:39Speaker 4: And he wins week one, too. I feel like he's
- 45:41Speaker 4: won a bunch of week ones.
- 45:43Speaker 2: Yeah, this should be an Eagles money line parlay, if
- 45:49Speaker 2: that's your flavor. I wouldn't mind throwing them in there.
- 45:51Speaker 2: Let's go to the Cardinals. And the chargers, this can
- 45:54Speaker 2: be quick because we already know that we love this one.
- 45:56Speaker 2: This was the first one that made it to the
- 45:58Speaker 2: contest for Kendra and I. So a lot of consensus here,
- 46:01Speaker 2: the Cardinals breaking in a new coach and Mike LaFleur,
- 46:03Speaker 2: but the chargers are breaking in a whole new offense.
- 46:06Speaker 2: I like the idea of fading these teams, not blindly,
- 46:10Speaker 2: but this is something I look to fade. If you're
- 46:13Speaker 2: trying to break in a new offense with the same
- 46:15Speaker 2: pieces from last year, it's a lot to learn early
- 46:19Speaker 2: on in the season. John, no one's playing in the
- 46:21Speaker 2: preseason these days.
- 46:23Speaker 4: No doubt, and it's way too many points. And because
- 46:25Speaker 4: it's going to be the consensus survivor pick, there's just
- 46:28Speaker 4: no way in the world this is going to be easy.
- 46:31Speaker 4: Only pushback. Harbaugh's been really, really good in week one. Really,
- 46:35Speaker 4: really good, going back to his Niners days and now
- 46:37Speaker 4: with the Los Angeles Chargers. But no argument for me.
- 46:40Speaker 4: Line's moving in our favor. Arizona will find a way
- 46:43Speaker 4: to cover the number.
- 46:44Speaker 2: Yep, and it's 10.5 in the contest. It's down to
- 46:47Speaker 2: 9.5 now across most books. So, yeah, easy one. for
- 46:52Speaker 2: us a layup week one divisional or a week one
- 46:55Speaker 2: double digit favorites seven and 14 against the spread since 2000.
- 46:58Speaker 2: That is a bet against the chargers. Our dolphins, John
- 47:03Speaker 2: catching three against the Las Vegas Raiders. It's Malik Willis
- 47:08Speaker 2: versus Kirk cousins, NFL ratings, gold here, two head coaches
- 47:13Speaker 2: making their debut. Jeff Halfley, Clint Kubiak. I could have
- 47:18Speaker 2: been talked into the Raiders. Not with the current injury situation.
- 47:23Speaker 2: Brock Bowers out. Ashton Gentry, not 100%. I want to
- 47:28Speaker 2: nominate the Miami Dolphins plus three and a half.
- 47:30Speaker 4: Oh, you sick man. You sick man. I think it's
- 47:33Speaker 4: the right side in the game. I'm not a Kirk
- 47:36Speaker 4: Cousins guy at this stage in his career. The only
- 47:39Speaker 4: problem is, are you sure you want to be in
- 47:42Speaker 4: on that Miami Dolphin defense? That's my problem. It is
- 47:46Speaker 4: a horrifying defense. You can't name one player in a secondary.
- 47:50Speaker 4: Can't do it.
- 47:50Speaker 2: No, I can't. I follow the team and I couldn't
- 47:54Speaker 2: if I tried. But to me, it's a numbers play.
- 47:57Speaker 2: I mean, it's just you're talking about a team in
- 48:00Speaker 2: the Raiders that still kind of needs to get to
- 48:02Speaker 2: know one another. They should not be laying this team.
- 48:06Speaker 2: I believe in them season long laying three and a
- 48:08Speaker 2: half when you're without the guy that you're building this
- 48:12Speaker 2: new offense around. Clint Kubiak is the guy that took
- 48:14Speaker 2: Jackson Smith and Jigba to the next level. Brock Bowers
- 48:17Speaker 2: is going to be that chess piece in the offense
- 48:20Speaker 2: and you don't have him. Michael Mayer is a huge
- 48:22Speaker 2: drop off in terms of talent. I think he's, I
- 48:25Speaker 2: think Bowers is worth nearly a point to the spread
- 48:29Speaker 2: and the number doesn't reflect that. And our number in
- 48:32Speaker 2: contest reflects nothing of Bowers not being on the field.
- 48:36Speaker 2: So to me, it's a numbers play more than anything else.
- 48:38Speaker 2: I like the Miami dolphins plus three and a half.
- 48:41Speaker 3: I'm vetoing you. The Raiders' defense is too good for
- 48:45Speaker 3: that offense.
- 48:46Speaker 1: There's no way. I'm sorry.
- 48:48Speaker 3: You're not going to get me to believe in Malik Willis.
- 48:50Speaker 3: I've seen everything that I needed to see. I.
- 48:54Speaker 1: No, I will say I'm higher on Michael Mayer than
- 48:56Speaker 1: you guys, though.
- 48:57Speaker 3: I do have the under in this game, but I'm
- 48:58Speaker 3: also in on an anytime touchdown for him, plus 280.
- 49:02Speaker 3: I think he's way better than you guys are giving
- 49:04Speaker 3: him credit for, especially as a red zone threat.
- 49:06Speaker 4: I didn't have a problem with Michael Mayer. Hold on
- 49:08Speaker 4: a second. I didn't throw any slander his way. I
- 49:10Speaker 4: just think Miami's the right side of the game. I
- 49:12Speaker 4: don't trust Cousins. That's that's my point.
- 49:15Speaker 2: I had a feeling that was that, was that the
- 49:17Speaker 2: veto that you were saving? Cause you knew I was
- 49:19Speaker 2: going to do that.
- 49:20Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 49:20Speaker 6: Okay.
- 49:21Speaker 2: Yeah. I didn't, you know, I.
- 49:23Speaker 4: Was going to be banging the table for the dolphins.
- 49:25Speaker 4: Come on, Kendra. You should know.
- 49:26Speaker 2: The plan wasn't to come in and be the, the
- 49:28Speaker 2: Homer of the.
- 49:29Speaker 1: Podcast, but, uh, I already be into it with the Jags.
- 49:34Speaker 2: Packers Vikings, Vikings laying a point and a half total
- 49:37Speaker 2: sitting at 46 and a half. I still have nightmares.
- 49:39Speaker 2: betting against the Packers in week one last year, no
- 49:42Speaker 2: team was more impressive out of the gate than green Bay,
- 49:45Speaker 2: but this is probably going to be a different look.
- 49:47Speaker 2: No Micah Parsons, big problem for green Bay. They were
- 49:50Speaker 2: Owen five without him down the stretch. If you include
- 49:53Speaker 2: the playoffs outscored one 44 to 96 in those games,
- 49:59Speaker 2: it is Vikings or nothing for me. And the money
- 50:02Speaker 2: seems to be moving in that direction as well. Kendra.
- 50:05Speaker 3: Does this feel to anybody else like these two are
- 50:08Speaker 3: going to coach their ass off and their quarterbacks are
- 50:11Speaker 3: just not going to.
- 50:12Speaker 1: Be able to do fucking anything and it's going to
- 50:14Speaker 1: be a.
- 50:15Speaker 3: Mid-off with coaches just stalking up and down the sidelines
- 50:18Speaker 3: pissed off? Because the Packers are so injured and Kyler
- 50:22Speaker 3: Murray is little.
- 50:24Speaker 4: Well, I don't like being involved in the Kyler Murray experience.
- 50:27Speaker 4: He has absolutely destroyed me futures-wise each of the last
- 50:30Speaker 4: two years. But you know what I'm about to do, guys?
- 50:32Speaker 4: I'm betting the Vikings in week one. I think their
- 50:35Speaker 4: depth as a roster may be compromised over the course
- 50:37Speaker 4: of the year. But they're healthy going into this matchup.
- 50:41Speaker 4: Brian Forrest, I think, forces a couple of turnovers with
- 50:43Speaker 4: his defense on Jordan Love. And I think this is
- 50:46Speaker 4: a big revitalization game for Justin Jefferson where people watch
- 50:50Speaker 4: week one. They're like, Oh yeah, I forgot how good
- 50:53Speaker 4: that guy is because he actually has someone who can
- 50:56Speaker 4: get him the football. The market is moving with us.
- 50:59Speaker 4: It is not my nominee, but if anybody wants to
- 51:01Speaker 4: throw it in there, please let's get it on the Vikings.
- 51:04Speaker 2: All right. So that's not ending up in the context.
- 51:06Speaker 2: I contest. I do think this game will be close.
- 51:10Speaker 2: I think I already played the Vikings as a teaser
- 51:12Speaker 2: leg and then the line flipped and And I went
- 51:15Speaker 2: the other way with it. So I am pot committed
- 51:18Speaker 2: to this game being decided by seven points or less
- 51:22Speaker 2: on either side. That that's, that's what I need to happen.
- 51:25Speaker 2: Just think if you wanted to sweat with me throughout this,
- 51:28Speaker 2: I don't really care who wins, but I like, did
- 51:30Speaker 2: he like the Viking side? If I was to bet
- 51:32Speaker 2: one side, I'd be on the Vikings. Let's finish off
- 51:35Speaker 2: with the Cowboys and the Giants. Giants plus three in
- 51:38Speaker 2: this one total sitting at 48 and a half Sunday
- 51:41Speaker 2: night football. This should be a good one. John Harbaugh
- 51:43Speaker 2: makes his debut with the Giants as their head coach.
- 51:45Speaker 2: Jackson Dart attempting to learn a new offense under Matt
- 51:48Speaker 2: Nagy and the Cowboys roll in his road favorites with
- 51:52Speaker 2: the top flight offense rebuilt defense. What are we thinking Kendra?
- 51:58Speaker 1: This still isn't my nomination.
- 51:59Speaker 3: We're going to have to not preview Monday, but But
- 52:02Speaker 3: we're going to have to mention it. I would love
- 52:05Speaker 3: to be on the Giants here. But the more that
- 52:08Speaker 3: I sit here and look through this Cowboys roster, the
- 52:11Speaker 3: higher I am on the Cowboys.
- 52:13Speaker 1: I hate to say it. Good for Gifford. I think
- 52:15Speaker 1: this team is going to be so good this year.
- 52:17Speaker 3: I think the Giants are going to need a couple
- 52:18Speaker 3: of weeks to kind of find their footing and are
- 52:21Speaker 3: probably going to have a higher upside the second half
- 52:23Speaker 3: of the season. I think the Cowboys, if anything, but
- 52:26Speaker 3: no play from me here.
- 52:27Speaker 4: Brilliant analysis, Kendra. Can I drop it? How about them Cowboys?
- 52:32Speaker 4: I love the Cowboys, guys. I can't get enough of
- 52:35Speaker 4: this game. I can't get enough of this season.
- 52:36Speaker 1: If that's your nomination, there's worse options for me here.
- 52:39Speaker 4: That's my nomination.
- 52:40Speaker 2: Is this it? Are we in on the Cowboys?
- 52:43Speaker 4: I am very in on the Cowboys this year. They
- 52:46Speaker 4: own the Giants.
- 52:47Speaker 2: I think we all like the Cowboys this season, but
- 52:49Speaker 2: we're in on the Cowboys.
- 52:50Speaker 4: They have owned, owned, owned the Giants for the better
- 52:53Speaker 4: part of a decade. Kendrick, you brought up the idea
- 52:56Speaker 4: that Jackson Dart is learning a new offense. I think
- 52:58Speaker 4: there is a transition there. Neighbors coming back off the injury.
- 53:02Speaker 4: Scadaboo coming back off the injury. Did I mention that
- 53:05Speaker 4: the Giants have major questions as far as their ability
- 53:08Speaker 4: to stop the run? And I don't trust their corners.
- 53:12Speaker 4: Who's guarding CeeDee Lamb? Who's guarding George Pickens? I think
- 53:16Speaker 4: Dallas got a top five offense. I think their defense
- 53:19Speaker 4: with Quinn and Williams for a full year. Caleb Downs.
- 53:23Speaker 4: They make a statement in week one. Cowboys, don't think
- 53:26Speaker 4: twice about it. We are laying the three. I don't
- 53:28Speaker 4: care if it's a divisional road dog. Cowboys, Cowboys, Cowboys.
- 53:32Speaker 2: Let's go. Oh, what a fun way to wrap up
- 53:35Speaker 2: our Sunday to have the Cowboys in the contest and
- 53:38Speaker 2: to make it even better. It's minus two and a
- 53:41Speaker 2: half in the contest with the line moving towards that three.
- 53:44Speaker 2: So I am with it. Let's do it.
- 53:47Speaker 3: Last but not least, boys, my final nomination is going
- 53:50Speaker 3: to be the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead on Monday Night Football.
- 53:55Speaker 1: I party so hard with the Broncos in this spot.
- 53:59Speaker 3: Kravitz, you can't say anything about it.
- 54:02Speaker 1: I love the Broncos here. Their defense, Patrick Mahomes, is
- 54:05Speaker 1: not going to be fully healthy. They're old. That defense
- 54:08Speaker 1: can shut down those receivers. Get out of here. Easy choice,
- 54:12Speaker 1: Denver Broncos.
- 54:13Speaker 4: I'm with it. I don't have a problem with it, Kendra.
- 54:16Speaker 2: I got to see it from the Chiefs and Mahomes.
- 54:18Speaker 4: Got to see it. I'd pick them to miss the
- 54:20Speaker 4: playoffs for what it's worth.
- 54:22Speaker 1: He's rushing back, man. He's rushing back to a click.
- 54:25Speaker 2: I'm with you, okay? I would not veto this. I
- 54:28Speaker 2: would be on the Broncos as well. The problem is,
- 54:32Speaker 2: is if my math is right, we're already at five.
- 54:35Speaker 2: That's the problem.
- 54:37Speaker 4: We have the Texans. We have the Cowboys.
- 54:42Speaker 1: Cardinals, Texans, Cowboys, Broncos.
- 54:45Speaker 2: Jaguars.
- 54:46Speaker 1: We said if there wasn't one that we liked better.
- 54:48Speaker 4: I'm using my veto on that. There you go. I
- 54:50Speaker 4: didn't use my veto. That would be my veto. Done. Okay.
- 54:53Speaker 2: Okay. So you're vetoing the Jags and we add the Broncos.
- 54:57Speaker 4: Yeah. I like the Broncos. Correct.
- 54:58Speaker 1: I feel really good about this. I feel good. Are
- 55:01Speaker 1: we Ella fellas? Are we choosing Texas?
- 55:04Speaker 4: Texas forever, baby. Friday night lights. If you know, you know.
- 55:09Speaker 2: For sure. I mean, you can tell by the way,
- 55:11Speaker 2: we're two stepping around the room.
- 55:12Speaker 4: If we win both of these, I may have to
- 55:14Speaker 4: get a cowboy hat for the next time I come
- 55:16Speaker 4: on with you guys. I'll wear it.
- 55:17Speaker 3: I'm going to wear a bandana around my neck on
- 55:19Speaker 3: Monday if we get.
- 55:20Speaker 1: Both of these right.
- 55:21Speaker 2: We are. We are cowboys through and through.
- 55:28Speaker 3: Just pick something already.
- 55:30Speaker 1: If you don't like it, you can just veto it.
- 55:34Speaker 2: Time to finalize the final five presented by draft Kings.
- 55:36Speaker 2: We like the 49ers plus three and a half in
- 55:40Speaker 2: Australia against the LA Rams. We like the Cardinals plus
- 55:45Speaker 2: 10 and a half going to LA to take on
- 55:47Speaker 2: the chargers Broncos plus two and a half on Monday
- 55:50Speaker 2: night against the Kansas city chiefs Texans plus one and
- 55:53Speaker 2: a half with that vaunted defense against Josh Allen and
- 55:56Speaker 2: the bills at home and the JJ special, the Dallas
- 56:01Speaker 2: Cowboys laying two and a half on the road. against
- 56:04Speaker 2: the New York football giants. Why should you place these
- 56:07Speaker 2: bets at draft Kings? Because all draft King customers are
