- 1:32So we've been fellowshipping over there for a couple of years now. He is
- 1:37the head of our choir. Actually, he's on the worship team, and
- 1:42he's got some great things going up. Let me show us flyer real quick.
- 1:46He has an event coming up. It is the r m F Workshop,
- 1:51the r METH Workshop. Our brother Jimmy Johnson. So I got him
- 1:56on the line, and he's gonna tell us a little bit about what's going
- 2:00on, and he's gonna share with us some of his testimony. So let's
- 2:05give her his hog radio. Welcome to our brother, Jimmy Johnson. Jimmy,
- 2:13what's going on with my brother? Good morning, man, what's up?
- 2:15What's up? How are you today? Man, I'm good, I'm
- 2:20good man. I'm happy to have you on here. I know we've been
- 2:23talking about doing this. Yes, serious, sir. So it looks like
- 2:30you're you're like traveling or so, man, tell us a little bit about
- 2:34what you got going over there. You look like you're inside of a truck
- 2:38somewhere. Yes, sir, I am by trade a truck driver. I
- 2:46would say I do drive an eighteen go Ern semi, a semi and that's
- 2:51uh. I do regional work. So I work with. I live in
- 2:57Las Vegas and I do outing Monday through Friday in the Samino Bakersfield uh La
- 3:07area, Yes, sir, And so you see, I'm actually in the
- 3:12front part of the truck. I had to cover the sulf in the back.
- 3:15There's a lot of a lot of blankets and uh everywhere, so to
- 3:24keep everybody. Uh, I got you here. When you're traveling, you
- 3:31got to make yourself comfortable. I get it, bro, I get I
- 3:35get it all right, cool man. Well, I'm glad that you are
- 3:39taking time out to kick it with us and spend some time with me.
- 3:45So you are a musician, tell us a little bit about about you.
- 3:51You just learned by you know, I've been faithful and watching and so my
- 3:57background I basically each choirs. I learned at an early age how to listen.
- 4:06As I got older, I also begin to be able to teach others
- 4:11how to use, you know, correct vocals. Again, just from listening
- 4:17to the ones that were teaching me. Uh, you have your Kenneth Anderson's
- 4:23Uh you get your uh Edward Davis and with Bowtriven. Even as an adult,
- 4:32there was Bishop Kenneth Wells. Uh. That's was over the Riverside Mass
- 4:38choir. I did mention Eddie Bouchrap, whats the fulfillment? When I lived
- 4:45in Atlanta, I sung with Kevin Limits and higher Calling. I was actually
- 4:49there around the inception of his choir, and so basically just being raised in
- 4:58church. Thank God for a parent, a god caring parent, you know.
- 5:04And I say that carefully. I do have my mom and dad still
- 5:10around, and my dad did a lot of singing when he was my age.
- 5:15I was trying to figure out where I got this from, and so
- 5:18you got the old parents that were involved with music singing. It's just kind
- 5:26of I guess the apple doesn't fall from the tree. So my background is
- 5:30basically with choirs. I do participate with the praest team at the church.
- 5:38But the gift in God's given me for choirs I to desire. I should
- 5:45say how important it is to put the right people around our children and to
- 5:55get them into the right environment, so especially a guily environment. The Bible
- 6:00says that if you train up a child in the way that they should go
- 6:04when they get older, they will not depart from it. Right, Yes,
- 6:09yes, But there's also there's this question. I think that It's a
- 6:14powerful question, probably one of the most important questions I can ask when I'm
- 6:17doing a podcast and I'm interviewing people. Even though you were raised in church,
- 6:24even though you've heard the Gospel and you had that type of environment,
- 6:29there had to have been a moment where you decided to surrender all to Christ.
- 6:33Right, because even at a young age, you know, we have
- 6:38to learn how to die to self. We have to learn how to put
- 6:41God first. You know, we have to learn how to repent from our
- 6:45sin and turn away. And sometimes that's a drastic experience. You know.
- 6:49You think about Paul and his conversion on the Damascus Road. He was thrown
- 6:55from a horse and God had to get his attention. That was is surrender
- 7:00moment, or for some people it's not so dramatic. Some people just get
- 7:04it right off the back, like, Hey, I'm surrendering my life to
- 7:08the Lord. So what was your surrender moment? What brought you to the
- 7:13point where you just surrender? You gave up the white flag and says Lord,
- 7:17I'm gonna do your will and I'm gonna stop fighting you. Do you
- 7:20have a that moment? You can share it with it? Yes, sir,
- 7:27It was I can remember distinctly, and this was I was grown.
- 7:33And sometimes you can go through themotions from what you're taught. But the most
- 7:39important thing out of office, the teaching is just a guy. It's just
- 7:43a guyline or a direction pointy direction. A lot of times we don't realize
- 7:50we're being kept by the prayers of our parents, prayers my grandparents. But
- 7:56then you have to come to realization. You know that Cristi has to be
- 8:01number one. And so my moment, actually, I was well in my
- 8:05thirties when I finally told God, really told him yes, you know,
- 8:11because sometimes we can get excited in service. We can get that emotional feel
- 8:18we get, you know, when we're singing or when there's a ministry going
- 8:22forward though when the pastors are making several good points, but when it finally
- 8:28hits home, I think I had to go through some things. So after
- 8:33church heard, after dealing with being an adult with regards to the regular problems
- 8:43you're living, your rent, your car, no, just these things that
- 8:46you don't expect to deal with as a kid because you know your parents dealt
- 8:50with that. So when I got to a place where I had to ultimately
- 8:56trust God and he came through one thing I like about God. Man,
- 9:01he loves to show up man, so with me, I finally had to
- 9:05tell him yes, because I was tired. You know, I was tired
- 9:11of just not knowing, really knowing who I was singing about or who I
- 9:16was. Why was I even coming to church? You know? Where was
- 9:20I coming to church to be to say I'm here or basically was basically charging
- 9:28up for what I needed to do for the rest of the week, you
- 9:33know, So that's you know your My my AHA moment was I think I
- 9:39was in my later is and I said that, you know, I can't
- 9:45do anything without you, And I said, Lord, I've already made a
- 9:48mess. Won't go into detail about you know, all the mistakes were made,
- 9:56but you know living you know we make those mistakes. You know that
- 10:01we're like, Lord, I wish you know I had to thought about that.
- 10:07Hey man, Amen, Yes, yes, for me, it was
- 10:09pretty dramatic. So yeah, I really I appreciate you sharing that and just
- 10:16letting our audience know that even though you go to church, even though you
- 10:20may be around it, there's people that are not going to make it into
- 10:24the Kingdom because they think they're good, like we have to surrender. We
- 10:28have to give God our life. People don't realize we got to die daily.
- 10:33We got to die to self and allow Christ to resurrect in us,
- 10:39and we have to know him. We have to have that relationship. It's
- 10:41not about being religious. It's not just about doing good deeds, you know.
- 10:48And so I love to always cut to the chase, and I love
- 10:50to always bring that point out because this could help someone else that's been in
- 10:56church all their life, you know what I mean. Like, even though
- 11:01you may be a good person, you think you've been to church and you've
- 11:03done good, good things. Without Christ, you're spiritually dead. You know,
- 11:07you're just yourself. What do you do if the church building burns down?
- 11:15What do you do if it pastor passes away, or your leaders pass
- 11:18away? Your relationship has to be based on what you're getting out of the
- 11:22word. You know, what does correct me if I'm wrong? Doesn't?
- 11:26The Word of God is let every man search out his own soul salvation.
- 11:30You know, you have to search the seeking God as if it's as if
- 11:35it's your last breath, you know. I mean that's literally how you have
- 11:39to be passionate about you know knowing who he is. Man, hey,
- 11:46man, that's right, that's right. And and I want to say on
- 11:50top of that, look at the days we're living in now, Look at
- 11:54the time we're in now, it's not the time to play with this.
- 11:58Like we have to get serious about walking with the Lord. You know,
- 12:01we have to seek them every day. Some people think they said a prayer
- 12:07twenty years ago that they're good, but they're living raggedy, you know what
- 12:11I mean, they're sin and ramp you know what I mean. It's like
- 12:16no, no, no, you have to live holy, you know what
- 12:20I mean. You have to maintain it. It's a daily maintenance. You
- 12:24have to keep stuff out of your heart, you know what I mean.
- 12:26You have to be careful on how you treat people in and you have to
- 12:33get in lean into guys so you can get his instruction for every day.
- 12:37So that's just the practical side of it. And we hope that there's anyone
- 12:43out there that needs to be dedicate or needs to draw closer to the Lord.
- 12:48We pray that this will encourage you a man. All right, all
- 12:56right, Well, let's uh going to our next section of this podcast,
- 13:03so we'll be right back We're gonna get into this amazing event and some cool
- 13:09stuff with our brother Jimmy. You are listening to the Light of Las Vegas.
- 13:13This is the His Hop Radio show. All right, all right,
- 13:26this is mister his Hopping and I want to encourage you once again. Check
- 13:28out our website, his Hot Nation dot com and download our app, His
- 13:33Hop Radio in your app store. I'm on line with my brother Jimmy,
- 13:39My brother Jimmy Johnson. He is a talented musician, bass player. He's
- 13:46in this thing for the long haul. He's been walking with the Lord for
- 13:48a while, y'all. So he's got some stuff to share, some things
- 13:52going on. So, brother Jimmy, I'm gonna pop this fire up real
- 13:58quick, and I want you to get us a description about it and tell
- 14:03us, you know, what's going on, what can we expect, and
- 14:05tell people what they're going to miss if they don't come out to this event.
- 14:11Okay, Well, first of all, you know, to see Uh's
- 14:16calling me Jimmy. You see and you see James Johnson. So I don't
- 14:22want you to think this is some type of you know, uh, some
- 14:26type of deceitful. That's that's a nickname I've been called and it's fine.
- 14:31If you ever see me on the street, you can call me Jimmy James
- 14:33JJ. This up to you. So basically in my life I had had
- 14:41several choirs. I had a group called Reverence in San Diego forty five voices.
- 14:46I had a group called New Agenda. They sort of brought the East
- 14:50Coast rattle sound to the San Diego area. I had a group called two
- 14:56Timothy, which was Latino or black uh brothers and sisters, and so over
- 15:05the years, I basically had a kind of stopped and whenever I did,
- 15:11I think ten fifteen years later, I was always trying to have some type
- 15:13of reunion and not realizing that you know, sometimes but not everyone, but
- 15:20with some groups of reunion constitutes okay, you have people that actually are no
- 15:24longer really do that? Man? That my singing? And so I decided
- 15:31with it myself, you know, and I've just given you guys the honest
- 15:35reason why, you know, God gave this to me. And one of
- 15:39my nephews said said, you know, you know, instead of trying to
- 15:41pull these old members back, you know, why don't you do something any
- 15:46different? And I said, well, what could I bring to the community
- 15:50to present Christ in a really good way through what He's given me, and
- 15:54that to do a workshop. And in the workshop, those that are coming
- 16:00to participants, we're going to be teaching for reading techniques. We're gonna be
- 16:03teaching how to listen. We're gonna be giving instruction with regards to just not
- 16:10just your basic part etiquette, but extra tools to use when those times come
- 16:17when it's time to sing, or to minister, or even at your rehearsal.
- 16:21And so this takes place the last week in April, that's April twenty
- 16:26fifth through the twenty seven. Now, the first two nights are gonna be
- 16:30rehearsing. It's gonna be pretty intense again bringing exercises. A lot of people
- 16:37have said, well, I've sung for many years. You know, what
- 16:40are you bringing to the table that I haven't experienced? You know, there
- 16:42may be some things you may recognize you if you've sung before, But the
- 16:47ultimate goal is to bring requires people to get there in the community. And
- 16:53I've just just be real, I've been here Las Vegas for five years and
- 17:00I've noticed it's not a lot of the groups pull together. You got this
- 17:04church. We'll do a concert, do this thing, we'll do. We
- 17:08got another creative choir I'm gonna do. But I think here, but you
- 17:15very rarely hear of all these choirs. And I can name some churches.
- 17:21I'm not gonna do that, but RMF is the name of the the syllables
- 17:27R MF are repentance in a moment of forgiveness and God it gave that to
- 17:36me with regards to a lot of times people fall out for a lot of
- 17:40reasons. And it's amazing how the enemy will always usually attacks the music before
- 17:48ministry. And you have to realize when when Satan was in heaven as Lucifer,
- 17:56the music literally came out of it, and so when he was cast
- 18:00down, the next uh beings that were created to sing and worship God,
- 18:07actually it was us, and so that's always used it the first place he's
- 18:12gonna attack because we basically he got fired and we took his job. So
- 18:18his job is to discourage us from doing anything with repus to worship. So
- 18:23again, so basically this is just an area of bringing folks together more so,
- 18:29but as you're coming together, I'm giving you extra tools to actually learn.
- 18:33Again, it's gonna be at OURWN Church, Rustuman Community Church. That
- 18:38address is three six six zero, you know, tranch Or try sweep one
- 18:42away, Las Vegas. The event's gonna be at six pm each night.
- 18:47We're gonna if you guys get there on time, we're gonna get you out
- 18:48at eighty. And you might be the type of person. I'm not singing
- 18:52with anyone right now. I sing in my shower. I might you know
- 18:56sing ocation, you know where to work. I'm having secret singing, you
- 19:00know, come and check it out. You never know what you are have
- 19:04the ability to do. And I've heard a lot of people say, well
- 19:08I don't sing, that's kind of thing, and they think this is a
- 19:12way or I'm looking for someone that has been singing background for I don't know
- 19:19Fred Hammond or Barga Sap and you know, and I'm not. We're not
- 19:27looking for that, you know. We're looking for anyone you know that actually
- 19:33wants to learn. And so come out join us. You can have a
- 19:37good time again. We have two rehearsals that Thursday, that Friday, and
- 19:44then the twenty seventh we have an actual our finale concert. Lillian Lloyd,
- 19:51amazing Woman of God, annoying to the evangelist. She's going to be our
- 19:55special guest, and she knows how to preach, and she knows how to
- 20:00sing and bring in the presence of God. So truly, I'm looking for
- 20:04not only just an opportunity of singing, but now put an outpour of the
- 20:08President of God. And in these days, like you were saying earlier,
- 20:12people, there's so much trash going on within the media. People are looking
- 20:18for break that they're looking for not just an experience, They're looking for something
- 20:22that's going to ultimately change their life. And that's what you know. We're
- 20:27hoping that I lost my train of thought. We're hoping that this will be,
- 20:33you know, something that that will actually take place. We also have
- 20:38one program we asked. We reached out to the City of Refuge Church of
- 20:44God in Christ. Their pastors, Pastor Douglas brunts it and so their minister
- 20:49music is San Brunce and we've also asked them to be special guests as well.
- 20:53So again, if you want to register, you can go to RMM
- 20:59collective. People want to participate in and get at the passes twenty dollars for
- 21:04that and the finale concert is absolutely free. Might have some loved ones or
- 21:11church members that want to come and actually singing the work that you would have
- 21:17been doing for those two days. So yes, it's definitely a family event.
- 21:22Saturday will be the finale concert. Absolutely. Hey man, bro,
- 21:30that's awesome. That is awesome, man. So that that sounds exciting.
- 21:37That sounds it sounds like it's going to be an awesome night. So I
- 21:44just want to go over this fire real quick. Let me ask you this.
- 21:47The twenty dollars registration fee is that for the workshop only for Thursday?
- 21:55Like, how many days are the workshops? And does that get you into
- 21:59one workshop to both of them or how is that structured? It's the both
- 22:03days, it's one workshop, So the twenty dollars takes care Thursday and Friday.
- 22:10Nice, that's a good that's a good price. That's really good.
- 22:15And most workshops other cities sometimes they can even affords a fifty up just depending
- 22:22on whose teachings. So if it's our first one, so that said,
- 22:26we're gonna we're gonna give something affordable. So you know, after the workshop
- 22:30you have a little money, you can go get your hamburger. I know
- 22:37you're gonna be hungry right after you do all that work after that, be
- 22:41working on your vocals and stuff like that. So who specifically is this workshop
- 22:47for, Like, who is your target or an audience. I know you're
- 22:49saying that you don't have to you know, sing for the you know,
- 22:53the big artists or anything to participate or whatever. But let's say a person
- 22:59who they don't know what type of voice they have. You know, they
- 23:03may need a coach, they may need someone to tell them, oh,
- 23:06you're a soprano or you're this, or you're that. Is this the type
- 23:10of workshop for that person? Or is it someone who they know what they
- 23:12got, they know what they can bring, and they're just going to come
- 23:15in and maybe learn some new technique, you know what I mean? Who
- 23:19are you really trying to target? This is a workshop for everybody. And
- 23:23I'm gonna say it this way, man, because you may have some people
- 23:26that may not feel they have the ability. You know, come on,
- 23:32you may not know if you're a soprano, alto tenor you know. We'll
- 23:34find out. Well, I'll find out. I'm the clinician this year,
- 23:38and I have a lady Sharon Wilson's also a clinician. She's gonna get teaching
- 23:42one song and our whole pastor Lank Clinton is gonna be vers well. So
- 23:48we have a lot of people that do two different jobs. Now, you
- 23:52might have a singer that has experienced and okay, well I soun soprano and
- 23:59the glee club of the of the Banana Chips of Mississippi, you know,
- 24:07But and then come to the workshop and discovered, wow, it's maybe been
- 24:11a five, ten, twenty years. You know, I'm having problems singing
- 24:15those parts. You know, maybe even where I thought I was, it's
- 24:18too high now. So then we're gonna determine for you and help you if
- 24:23you would let me to say, hey, look, you can continue to
- 24:26struggle in this higher part, but if your voice is no longer doing that,
- 24:33we need to put you somewhere else. And a lot of people don't
- 24:36understand. As you get older, I'm not your voice changes. When you
- 24:41have a fax, you have a violin, bass, guitar, a keyboard,
- 24:48those instruments. No matter what you do, it's gonna give you that
- 24:53same sound unless you change your a free programming with the human voice coming from
- 25:00something natural, with your your vocal cords. And as we grow up and
- 25:04get older, sometimes those things change sometimes, you know, with uh,
- 25:11with women, you know, after they've had children, their voice has changed.
- 25:18Us as men, sometimes a voice has a tendency to get deeper,
- 25:22you know. Also with time. If I'm doing a lot of singing over
- 25:26the years consistently, some people the arrange stretches. You know, I have
- 25:32one, I have three ladies. I know that basically we're altold majority of
- 25:37the time and in their later years found out, wow, I my voice
- 25:42is actually stretched now I'm able to sing soprano. So each person is uniquely
- 25:49made. Each person is uniquely different. So we're gonna reach me down to
- 25:57all singers. And I know you made should die the one that didn't know
- 26:03whether there's a final house of tenor so that's the job of the clinician to
- 26:07help you out and let you know where you're below. Okay, okay,
- 26:11well yeah, that's that's me. I've always told. I've always been told
- 26:17since I was younger. You know, I've been rapping. I love hip
- 26:19hop, and the first group I was in, we had a manager.
- 26:23She would take us into the studio and critique us and everything, and out
- 26:30of everybody in the group, she would say, you have a singing voice,
- 26:33like you have a singing voice. But I was like, no,
- 26:36I want to rap, you know what I mean? I rap, I
- 26:38don't sing, you know, so I never really developed that. So I'm
- 26:41curious to know, like, if it's there, if God is giving it
- 26:45to me, right, you don't want to the Lord? Is that that
- 26:48parable? You don't want to bury your talent, you know what I mean?
- 26:52You don't want to to leave it there. And the Lord's like,
- 26:55hey, what did you do with that? And we we know what happened
- 26:59that parable. We know what that master did to that, that one that
- 27:02veries the talent. Yes, what I could tell you is that a lot
- 27:11of times you have people that have had the opportunity all along or the gift
- 27:15all along and just didn't realize it. And and even with you, it's
- 27:21just something to try, and the worst thing you could do is not try.
- 27:26And years later, man, I wonder what would have happened. You
- 27:29have a lot of and I've provenal quick with this. You have a lot
- 27:32of singers that did sing background, never had desire to be in front dining,
- 27:37even clerk and it was one of them. He gives his testimony.
- 27:40Now he was back across singer and he was good with him, and they
- 27:42gave him the mic that one day and the rest was history. You know.
- 27:48So, yes, sir, so if you would like to be a
- 27:53part, be at the workshop, and you know, and you you see
- 27:57me or at least uh your your wife had seen me in action, and

- 28:07doing this? This? This, this this, you know. Yeah,
- 28:12we I'm gonna make it a lot of fun. I always keep everybody laughing.
- 28:18And again, as well as we want to sound good, we have
- 28:22to remember what we're doing. Everything we do as unto God. So if
- 28:26you're not having fun doing this, then you know, yes, it's a
- 28:30waste of time. And I don't want to waste your money or your time.
- 28:36Okay, all right, that sounds good, bro, that sounds good.
- 28:38So UH tell everyone real quick how they can like subscribe and follow you
- 28:45check you out. Uh tell them once again where to go to get more
- 28:48information about this event if they want to sign up, and tell them like,
- 28:53you know what, if you're gonna miss this, you're missing the greatest
- 28:59event a little twenty twenty four. You know what I'm saying? Now he's
- 29:03he's really blowing it up down. But I believe you'll miss an experience to
- 29:10be with the like minded believers because we have a lot of events that go
- 29:15on in our city. David Blakely's usually has something coming up, Sharon Wilson's
- 29:22Actually they're quiet, Sharon Wilson and the Kingdom City Singers. Yeah, I'm
- 29:26giving the plug in. They're they're getting ready for They're getting Geared Up four,
- 29:32an event they're doing in July, and hopefully I can maybe even get
- 29:36her on the podcast. I'll tell her about it. But basically, again
- 29:42with the workshop, anyone can come and participate. It's gonna be at fresh
- 29:48Winter Community Church. The address is three sixty six North Rancher Drive, Sweet

- 30:17be six pm April twenty fifth Thursday, April twenty sixth Friday, and then
- 30:22we have our finale concert, which is also at six pm. All in
- 30:26the same place, so we don't have to worry about going to multiple locations
- 30:30or sites. And again, those that want to participate, please go to
- 30:37our MF collective dot com and you would go up to the two bars on
- 30:47the top click events, and then you will scroll down and you will actually
- 30:52see these turquoise flyer. You click on it and then it gets you an
- 30:57actual donation have But that's actually what you would put your information in. And
- 31:03we're still kind of working the works out of the workshop, but on that
- 31:08page there'll be an area that'll have the songs for you to listen to as
- 31:15well as the lyrics for the songs. So when you got some homework to
- 31:18do for the workshop, and when you get to the workshop, you'll you
- 31:22won't be in you'll be in the loop with regards to what we'll be given
- 31:27an instruction. Again, it's one thing to learn a song, but we're
- 31:33going to be rehearsing, which means it has to be something that you've already
- 31:37listened to and learned. Awesome, Awesome, my brother, Well, I
- 31:48really enjoyed having you on here, and uh yeah, make us you're you're
- 31:52home away from home. Whenever you got something going, or you're trying to
- 31:55promote something. We'll love to come alongside and help you do that. Now,
- 32:00do you have social media so people can follow you directly and kind of
- 32:06keep up with what you what you got going and if they want to see
- 32:08something? Yeah? Yeah, you you be personally? Yeah you? What's
- 32:13your social media? What's your history? I never thought about that. Both
- 32:19of the stuff is on RMF. Now I have my own Facebook page.
- 32:24I guess I'm old school, and since you said that, I probably need
- 32:28to come up a little higher, get some uh, get some uh some
- 32:32social media. I don't really have anything right now, but RMF we do
- 32:37have let me double check real quick. Uh, I should have this ready.
- 32:44I'm sorry, guys. You yeah, brother, So on Facebook,
- 32:50you're Jimmy Johnson Facebook on James A. Johnson the Third. Okay, okay,
- 32:58but but that's a common So if you put you could put James Johnson
- 33:01the third and it'll be at least twenty of us. You could put James
- 33:07A. Johnson the third, and I know there's at least three of us,
- 33:13you know so and one of the guys because we looked fairly much alike.
- 33:17So I'm trying to get this for you guys. Hold on, I'm
- 33:22so sorry. I should have had this ready. We do have Instagram,
- 33:28we do have page as well, and I don't remember what it is.
- 33:34I'm so sorry you guys. I love the name, the the r MF
- 33:40right is it? You said repentance in a moment of forgiveness. And I
- 33:49came up with this because when I would go and ask some of my previous
- 33:53members again I won't mention their names, well you know what I you know,
- 33:58I would like to come to you with men. But sister Watermelons came
- 34:02up had said I was looking talking by my shoes and we fell out and
- 34:07we ain't ever talk. And brothers a woman, you know what? Uh,
- 34:13Brother Culcuver with brother let me see Brother Amo was uh, you know
- 34:19man, you give me hungry bro. All these people in church, yeah,
- 34:22they all got fruit, not food in the spirits, some type of
- 34:29fruit, some type of fruit. And so I was like, and I
- 34:31kept trying to tell them. I said, there's no way in the world
- 34:36you're going to be able to do anything within regards to uh what God truly
- 34:45wants gifts coming out repentance. Mm hmm. We don't want your gifts.
- 34:50We want you your repentance so God can effectively use your gift. There's a
- 34:58lot of gifted folks out there. But when you sing, when you talk,
- 35:01when you encourage someone, are they changing? Have you changed? Amen
- 35:07to the point where someone can notice a difference if you're telling me if I'm
- 35:12out in the world, or I don't know who God is, or I
- 35:15know God is an abit taking the time? You know, how am I
- 35:19supposed to know that there is a difference with what I'm doing? If you
- 35:22look the same talk for saying doing the same thing. I'm come on.
- 35:29The whole purpose of the of the Ministry of Christ was to not only say,
- 35:36but once we're saved, to change that person's thinking. Okay, we're
- 35:42transformed by the renewing of our mind. You know daily I believe you know.
- 35:46But you can't do that with an understanding of the word of God.
- 35:50You can't do that without obedience. You can't do that without relationship. And
- 35:55so you can fool yourself if you want to, or I could just come
- 35:59and do this. You know. The main thing we want to introduce the
- 36:01folks because you might have singers that's coming to this. We want to introduce
- 36:06Christ to you. And it don't take it, don't take long, you
- 36:10know, he said, If any man be in Christ, he is a
- 36:13new creature. Mm hmm. Old things have passed away. Behold all things
- 36:16become new, you know. So don't you want to walk in the newness
- 36:21of Christ? Don't you want to walk in the newness of God? Don't
- 36:23you want something different? And so that's what that's the main focus. Really,
- 36:30that's the main This should be the main focus of industry. And I
- 36:34think a lot of choirs have and groups have kind of gotten away from that.
- 36:37You know, if I can get an emotional response, then old you
- 36:43know, somebody got touched delivery. Well yeah you you you stroke there,
- 36:47this this this flash. But when the music's over, like Deryck Cola says,
- 36:53when the music stops, what next, you know? And so I'm
- 37:00hoping Ruth, this workshop it's more than it's more than just a group of
- 37:07folks coming to get at the scene, those of us, those of you
- 37:09guys that are coming that no price. You know, you can kind of
- 37:15look at the person standing next to you. You know, we're definitely gonna
- 37:19be praying, We're definitely you never know, what someone's going through. You
- 37:21never know what their situation is. People that know, and I'm gonna get
- 37:24off this real quick, but people didn't know. In my twenties, I
- 37:31had acquired and I was homeless. Basically, I was living from place to
- 37:37place. I was a scuba striver, making seven dollars an hour, twenty
- 37:44hours a week. My check you ever take after taxes eighty bucks let for
- 37:51food, enough to get a bus passed. And I had a roommate a
- 37:55friend that allowed me to stay with them, but they move move to to
- 38:00Lana, and so I was, what's up, you know, And so
- 38:08you have a lot of people that are going through You never know what someone
- 38:10else is going through. So those of us said in about at Christ,
- 38:14you know, it's our job to actually come together, you know, and
- 38:17do a little more than just praying. Sometimes we got a physically got to
- 38:22come out of my hand, my pocket and hand you something, you know.
- 38:24Just I mean, that's a whole other subject. I'm sorry because stay
- 38:29right here, but it's just when you start talking about the things of God,
- 38:32you know, it just takes you to another area. So even today,
- 38:36those you guys that are listening, you know, you might not know
- 38:39that person that's on the street. You don't know what the situation. You
- 38:43know, sometimes we say, well I had to, I could discern somebody's
- 38:45astually for two or three dollars and some change help them out. You know,
- 38:50you ain't gonna you ain't gonna get it with that five dollars anyway,
- 38:53somebody out you know, you know, even if even if they're even they're
- 38:58doing something that you might not agree with. You know, you really have
- 39:00to hear the voice of God. You know, they might used to find
- 39:04out us, get fear or something. You know, it's not your job
- 39:07to determine what they're going to use it for. It's your job to let
- 39:10them see the God. Amen. Amen, Well, I believe brother,
- 39:16that somebody needed to hear that someone really needed to hear. That someone needed
- 39:22to hear these words of encouragement, hear instruction, just hear from the Lord.
- 39:28And uh, that's that's what we do here. This is what this
- 39:30podcast is for. It's a we want to reach people. We want to
- 39:36let them know that God loves you. You might be out there in a
- 39:40situation where it could be a desperate situation, you think nobody cares about you.
- 39:45Nobody loves you, even probably thinking about taking your life, going over
- 39:50the edge. Well, we're here to let you know that there is a
- 39:54God who created you. Yes, sir, Yes, sir. Every bone,
- 40:00every hair, every muscle in your body. He designed it, He
- 40:05thought about it. He gave you your own unique identity. He knows the
- 40:10hairs upon your head. He loves you so much that he sent his only
- 40:15begotten son, Jesus to die for you. Yes, he wants to redeem
- 40:21you. He wants to come back into relationship with you. He wants you
- 40:25to come back home. You have been accepted by him. You may have
- 40:30been rejected by others. There may be people in your life close family members,
- 40:36friends, or spouse may have walked out on you, your children,
- 40:38your job may have let you go. You probably feel like you have no
- 40:43more purpose on this earth. You do. You were created to have a
- 40:49relationship with God. You were created to be his child, to be in
- 40:53his family and to have fellowship. But that fellowship was broken and because of
- 41:00sin one, because Adam sin and plunge the whole human race into this situation.
- 41:07And also your individual choices. The sin that you do on a daily
- 41:13basis is what's keeping you away from your father, your heavenly Father. So
- 41:20the instruction from the way the God is to repent. Yes, right,
- 41:23just like this conference says repent. I love it. I love that.
- 41:28That's their main message. And what repent does mean is change your mind about
- 41:34the way that you're living the things that are offensive to God. See saying
- 41:38his lie that he's told the whole world is you can sin and get away
- 41:43with it and not suffer any consequences. That's what he said to Eve in
- 41:47the garden that yeah, if you disobey God, you'll be blessed. You'll
- 41:52be like God. You're gonna get wisdom. He makes it seem like you're
- 41:55gonna come up, level up. But he promises you everything and he gives
- 42:00you hell. He doesn't tell you about the consequences that will happen when you
- 42:06know the Bible says the wages of sin is death. And trust me,
- 42:10y'all don't want that. You don't want to be separated from God for eternity.
- 42:15So put your faith in trust in Jesus that he died on the cross,
- 42:20rose again on a third day. He is right here on this podcast
- 42:23waiting to come into your life, waiting to hear your prayer, waiting to
- 42:27hear your voice. Cry out to him, cry out to Jesus, say
- 42:30Lord, forgive me. I am a sinner. Forgive me. I don't
- 42:35want to be separated from you. I want to reconcile our relationship. Come
- 42:38into my life, take over, Wash me from my sin, from my
- 42:44iniquity, from my wickedness. I want to be in relationship with you.
- 42:47Trust me. God will move heaven and earth to come to you and deliver
- 42:52you and to heal you and to save you. So amen. So that's
- 42:59what we're about. And hit up my brother Jimmy or should I say James
- 43:05Johnson. Hit up my brother. Make sure you like and follow him his
- 43:12stuff wherever he's gonna be on on social media, and come out to this
- 43:15event. I'm gonna put this fire up one more time, and I just
- 43:20want to invite you. Freshman Ministry. That's a solid place. It's a
- 43:23prophetic house the presence and power of God. If you're looking for a place
- 43:29where you can encounter God, well that's it right here. Fresh Wind is
- 43:35one of the many churches that are just holding up the standards out here in
- 43:37Las Vegas. Three six six zero North Rancho Drive Unit one oh eight.

- 43:49day workshop, then you have a concert that last day. Twenty dollars for
- 43:54the workshop. The concert is free. You can't beat that price. Free
- 43:59ninety nine. You know what I'm saying. So yeah, come on out,
- 44:04and uh as we close out, as we close out, have my
- 44:09brother Jimmy close us out and say some final comments and then I'm gonna officially
- 44:17get us off of this podcast. So go ahead, brother Jimmy. Uh.
- 44:22Lord, God, we thank you, we praise you, we magnify
- 44:25you, Lord for being God. The Word of God says, if my
- 44:29people will called by my name but humble themselves and pray and seek my place
- 44:35and turn from the wicked ways, I will forgive their sins and hit the
- 44:38let. Lord. So ware ask you, Lord that you help us turn
- 44:42the Lord, help us where and if you want to know those Lord that
- 44:45don't man be someone that doesn't know you, Lord, that doesn't know you
- 44:50in the part of the sense. Lord, And so we're praying Lord,
- 44:52that they pray this prayer. Lord Jesus, I believe that you're the Son
- 44:55of God. Yeah, I believe that You're died on the cross for my
- 44:59sins and he rose again. I thank you for being in my life.
- 45:04I thank you for being ahead of my life, coming to my heart.
- 45:07Save me, feel me. I am a new creature in you Now.
- 45:13I will follow you for the rest of my life. That's the prayer.
- 45:17So if you are listening to this podcast, repeat that after me. Jesus
- 45:22natement. Lord, we're asking God, Lord that once we go on our
- 45:25day, that you help us have a great day, that you protect us.
- 45:30Lord, keep us in the area of in the hedge of protection.
- 45:34God, help us to keep you first in the name of Jesus. God.
- 45:37Lord, juice, obedience is better than sacrificed. God, help us
- 45:42to stand fast in the liberty where you've set us freely, and then not
- 45:45to be entangled again with any yokavantage. We thank you, We praise you
- 45:49for this time of fellowship. We thank you and praise Your Lord for life,
- 45:52for waking the Southern keeping us God in the right mind. Lord,
- 45:55those Lord that are going through the question by polarism, Lord, those things
- 46:00world of said, Lord that there's no hopeful Lord, you are the master
- 46:04creator you are the master healer. You know, every one of us got
- 46:07by the hair of our heads by name. We ask all of these blessings
- 46:12in your name Jesus nay Amen. And remember you guys, the uh about
- 46:20the workshop, repentance in a moment of forgiveness, and as well as repenting,
- 46:25those were standing Christ also so our jobs to forgive. How long in
- 46:31a moment? Amen, Amen, in a moment that's good. It is
