- 0:19[SPEAKER_05]: Let's get started today.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_05]: Carlos, it is
- 0:21[SPEAKER_05]: a special day for me because I get to talk to you in studio, but it's also a special day for a young guy by the name of on hell.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_05]: Now, finally gets a well deserved call up to the big leagues.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_05]: Carlos, we're not quite sure yet what the move suggests it could be.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_05]: Disgaperal.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_05]: Arias, get DFA, does this something to do with Jose Ramirez's Hammate injury?
- 0:42[SPEAKER_05]: But what we do know is on hell's making this call up to the big club.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_05]: What do you think this means for the Cleveland Guardians?
- 0:47[SPEAKER_00]: Very good afternoon.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's a honor to be here.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for having me.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I don't know yet.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know yet.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_00]: I'm trying to get the news.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: So I can bring it here today.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't know what kind of moves the moves that we make.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_00]: And it's a move that these guys deserve it right now.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: He's doing unbelievable triple A.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: 30 homers, he didn't 300, they owned 8% of 401, 60 walks, 60 something, 50 something I be eyes, that's a special, that's a special, you know, when you put in numbers like that, you need to be up and we need offense, I think we, we're gonna talk about it, I know we're gonna talk about it, you know, the crazy we make, but you know what, he's a special player and he
- 1:32[SPEAKER_00]: I think that was the best move that he made to play with him or he led the Cleveland Warriors.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_00]: No, I want to play.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: You remember that taking off, he played one month and Cleveland bringing to Cleveland and that he wasn't going to play anymore and he asked Cleveland and said, let me finish over there playing with him and that was the best move that ever happened and we see that you know they all great that he's been doing playing the game.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_04]: Carlos, it's no secret that this is a guardians team that needs hitting.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_04]: They are at the absolute bottom.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_04]: They're at the basement of pretty much every statistical category.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_04]: But we saw at the deadline, the reinforcements are on the way.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_04]: But now they're making a call down to AAA to a guy in on Hellheonau who is their number two ranged prospect in the entire organization.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_04]: What message does that send to Hanna who's still a young hitter at 22 years old that they truly believe that he could be part of this solution, and they desperately need him right now.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_00]: We need offense.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_00]: That's the message.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_00]: We need offense.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_00]: We don't want you to be a superstar.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: We don't want you to be a guy that put the team on top of your children because we have a guy in there that's a question right now.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_00]: They have it announced.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_00]: Who's going to be setting down?
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: Who's going to be released?
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: Or who's going to be trade or something like that?
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: We haven't, they haven't announced yet.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: But you know what, we need to know.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_00]: The Jose Rabidis playing, you know, he's no ready yet.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_00]: I think, you know, the moves to Jose Rabidis.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: For me, watching him hit,
- 3:01[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the last few days, you know, in the last few days, he don't look good on the plate.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he sounds his good.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: You know how many times he swing the bad way, went away.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_00]: When you doing that, that means you know grabbing the bad the right way.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: I know Jose Ramirez want to be in the field because that's the way he is.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_00]: He's a player.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: He said he's a captain.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_00]: He want to be there.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_00]: But you know what, when you are not playing a hundred percent, it's hard to play that that.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know what kind of movement we're going to make.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_04]: Well, you're somebody Carlos during your time with the Indians, you're somebody that wanted to be out there every day.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_04]: You love playing.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_04]: You push through stuff.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_04]: I'm sure of your own, but but you, you just set it right there.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_04]: When you push through something and when you're not 100%, it does reflect in the numbers.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_04]: It does reflect in the product.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_04]: Do you think that Jose's return from that hemate?
- 3:47[SPEAKER_04]: He was able to come back very fast.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_04]: We know Jose Ramirez is a guy that wants to be out there wants to play.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think I think that's going to be when yesterday I got surprised when I see the line of it He wasn't in there.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: I don't see him in the close house.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I don't know if I'm getting an MRI or anything like that So we don't know what's going on with Jose Ramirez We know that we lost a game yesterday We lost a game.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: We have so many guys on bat 10 guys left on base and that's been the case
- 4:18[SPEAKER_00]: We are no hitting with man-on-base and we bring two guys that I think they're gonna help us.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: I think you know right now, I've done show everybody why he can do like a leftist.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he's one of the best hit against leftist, three or three 10 homers, 29 diabetes, but we don't have that.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: We don't have that against leftist.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_00]: And that's called the Husking.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's been really good.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_00]: on that, that he's been on Facebook, you know, to have a good year on that, that in maybe his average is not up, but he's doing it unbelievable.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: Like 45 extra bases, that's especially there.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: But we need everybody.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: That's why the quann is getting on base.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: He's getting the bases.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_00]: But we need to do something different and I go to mention something to you guys.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: We can be running the bases crazy.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: because we don't score that many runs.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: We need to catch the ball.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_00]: We need to play the game the way we have to play because you don't want to be put in pressure on PC stuff.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_00]: Just say they continue almost, get out of the inning.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: You remember, I'm both on the base, I just throw it away and what happened.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: And over the guy get on base and then the homework came in and they put the game three on one right away in there.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: So we need to play better to win games because our offense is no big offense.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_05]: Carlos, we'll kind of talk about all of the guys that the Guardians acquired in depth more, but just from the overlooking view, four people that are going to come in and make an impact.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_05]: Two of them being those bats you mentioned, Joe Adele and Nathaniel Low, and then you bring in foster grip into short that starting rotation as well as Craig Yoho in the bullpen.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_05]: Big picture.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_05]: How much better do you think the Scardians team got in just when it was 48 hours ago on Monday?
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: We haven't make a trade like this.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if you remember.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: I can't remember a trade like this in the trade daylight.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: I know a couple of years ago we'd be more and ran out of the office.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: But we've been through relievers.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_00]: But we always are things been the last five years.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_00]: It's been the hearing.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_00]: Just today they put up the numbers on TV.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: We had we scored the same runs last year.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_00]: We hitting a little bit more this year the last year And we were seven game back last year a trip game back on the first place.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_00]: So we It's unbelievable that people say how you guys do it
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: How you guys are in for a play second place without hitting you have to hit you can have the best pieces That but if you don't score you don't win games and that's been the key right there We're bringing to guys first of all.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: We're bringing experience.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_00]: You know nothing.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_00]: I love
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: Championship with Texas, player with Texas, play your last year with Boston.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_00]: He was doing really good with his scenario.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: I think that this year was supposed to be better, but he wasn't better, but he was doing good and something that we bring a guy that ain't about one of the best heroes.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: You know, while he ain't in our ballpark, he ain't hitting our ballpark, 340, no, no, he's 345, he's 7, home, and 16 RBIs.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_00]: In a bumper right there, and after the Ostra game, he's being unbelievable hitting 300 three homers, something that I don't have 40 RBIs after the Ostra game.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: So we're bringing somebody that has parents, we're bringing somebody that he's out and now we need to put it together.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: We are jumping.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_04]: how much better of an offense are we Carlos with Joe Adele?
- 7:28[SPEAKER_04]: Nathaniel Lo.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_04]: Now, yeah, on Hell Hannau is going to play a role in this.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_04]: How much better is this Guardian's offense versus what it was 48 hours ago?
- 7:39[SPEAKER_04]: It feels to me like they significantly improved in two days.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_04]: You almost never see that.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: We prove a lot.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: We prove a lot, and you know, and I'm we don't forget about the two patients that we have we have somebody to That we the moves that we make yesterday like a now Sekoni is gonna help us in the bullpen.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: You remember yesterday We need somebody to fish at least three any because we use the our species top a lot.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_00]: So now we have that Sekoni's gonna become the Abidad.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: You remember Abidad two years ago.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I bought a intro of we
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know what's going on so we better I'll be that last year we have a Kobe all are you remember the left It's all starting stars on Tando.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: They're really very peaceful three and now we have the I'm that guy that we bring from me walk You y'all, why is that you?
- 8:27[SPEAKER_05]: Thank you.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_04]: I'd like you see the numbers they have in the minute pretty good and a pretty good debut with us so far so far so good for Craig
- 8:37[SPEAKER_04]: We made the right move and we cannot forget about we bring it all star picture 12 and 3 griffy You know how the happened to a rotation to rotation to rotation Carlos that already has Gavin Williams pitching really good Parker Messick one of the bright young pictures in all of baseball Forget about this division forget about the American League Parker Messick is one of those guys that the national baseball media
- 9:05[SPEAKER_04]: is talking about, and then you still have Tanner, Bobby, now you add Foster Griffin to this, who wasn't all star, and you could see a recipe where the Guardians want to go for this.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_04]: And that is exactly what we want to ask for next.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_04]: It did the deadline change the Guardian ceiling.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_04]: How far this team can go in October?
- 9:24[SPEAKER_04]: Because I feel like all three of us in this room felt pretty good that we were going to October, regardless.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_00]: I got something to you guys and I know I know that this year it's been a different year First of all, what she got a white shirt he's doing Who do you spend that no nobody spend that not not not I expect to them to be a little bit better but not like this No, not like that second Me this but my dinners they've been bad Houston they've been so so you know they they don't you know right now
- 9:56[SPEAKER_00]: The American League is bad.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: The only thing that playing really good I don't know how they came back from a hurricane they went through for the first two months.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's the Boston Records.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: 30 and 5.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_00]: 30 and 5 in the last 35 games.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: So you don't want what Chris Anthony and the front office did.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: That's his pressure.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: And I had to, and I did see, I said,
- 10:19[SPEAKER_00]: Great job.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: We haven't had that in a long time.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: And that's it.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: That's a message that we need to read through at players.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_00]: You got it now, we have to go all the way.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not putting pressure on you.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: But this is the thing that can go.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_00]: And that's, the nationally, we know they have corporate mortise they have the opportunity to win.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: What the joy is, they're gonna be there.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_00]: They're gonna be the worst ever again.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: No matter why they're losing six-year-olds or something like that.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: But you know what, the American League is open and we can take it because we have something that a lot of people don't have.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_00]: We can pitch it.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: when you got pitching, we can go all the way and that's, I'm very happy about it, but we need to score runs.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_00]: That's what he's what about.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_05]: Carlos, the trade deadline for the Guardian started off with a bang win.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_05]: I think it was right around noonish or whatever when the show started and we found out the Guardians acquired outfield or Joe Adele from the Angels.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_05]: Carlos, you were actually there able to listen to him, talk about being traded from the Angels and what it means now to be
- 11:23[SPEAKER_02]: It's awesome and when you want to win at this level, you have to do what you have to do and to be considered as a guy to come in and help this team do what they've been doing all year and to help them continue to do it is pretty cool.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_02]: It's an honor to be here and really excited to get started and these guys are great already and feels like family already so pretty pumped up.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_02]: I think so.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, my name's been fostering, I think for a couple of years now and that's some point, you know, you figure that there's going to be a situation where it's happened and really just, you know, now it's my time.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_02]: I'm really just excited to the next chapter of baseball.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_02]: And we all know it's kind of part of the game.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't make it any easier, but you understand that everywhere you go, you're trying to win ball games and teams are trying to win and find ways to do it.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_02]: And so being your
- 12:13[SPEAKER_05]: Carlos, he's batten 500 in his guardian's career to hits against the Met's last night.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_05]: Carlos, what do you think the Guardian saw in the appeal of bringing in Joe Adel?
- 12:22[SPEAKER_00]: I think we got too many lefties in that, you know, before he came in, I know the fry and a hosting, they fry the, they help us, but we need more, we need extra guy and something that we bring to his difference.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_00]: He can play in the Afriel.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_00]: And now we got quant in Santa Fe, you see the play, the quant may yesterday.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_00]: He went crazy.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_00]: You should see him in the right field.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_00]: He went like that, you don't be like that.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: When he got up all, I'm down, got happy.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_00]: Because he's bringing somebody that gonna play next to him, that he can catch through.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_00]: So now, we have two guys and your Martinez.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: You know the play that he made making the last few weeks.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_00]: You know, in the outfit.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_00]: So now we have a great outfit.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_00]: Our outfit.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: need to know that that we need to play better to win games to save our fishing stuff that they've been you know what they've been putting in in the shoulders the whole year we need to happen to
- 13:18[SPEAKER_04]: I just think I'm curious you're perspective on this Carlos how cool is it for a guy like Joe Adel that's with the angels Let's be nice to the angels, but let's not kid ourselves.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_04]: They're they're a bad team bad organization They've been for a number of years
- 13:35[SPEAKER_04]: you get traded from there, you know, baseball, Siberia, to Cleveland, Ohio, world perpetually contending for the American League Central Division.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_04]: And now you've set on this show, you think this team has the pitching and now enough offense to make some serious noise.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_04]: And this American League, what's that do for a player, psyche, just that I finally escaped.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_04]: I'm sure he loved LA.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_04]: Who wouldn't love LA?
- 13:59[SPEAKER_04]: But you escaped that environment and you come to a place where now you're 16 homeruns mean a little bit more than what they did For Ardy Marino's bunch out there and I'm right now the first of all.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_00]: He's leading our team in Homer in RBI 62 homers season to RBI 16 homers something like that, but you know what when you come to it, you know to a play like this and yesterday we have 24,000 people in there in the ballpark Then we are you know running to make it to the playoff again.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_00]: This is really good
- 14:28[SPEAKER_00]: He's been in the last place for the last since he got corrupt to the billix.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_00]: He's been in the last place.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_00]: It's hard to play that.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_00]: It's hard to come to the ballpark with a great attitude.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: Stop right there.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_00]: Now, you are playing for something.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_00]: You have a team at John team that, you know, he's exciting.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we are in a division that we can win the division too.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that's a plus.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think that he going to come to the ballpark to play with it.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: And he don't want to be a problem.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he's going to be a problem.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's going to play every day because he got this proven and I hear what?
- 14:57[SPEAKER_00]: Let me let me say some numbers to you guys.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_00]: In the last three years, 73 homers, 222 RBIs in three years.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_00]: Do we have that?
- 15:08[SPEAKER_00]: We did not we Carlos we did not so we read somebody that can help us are he Confidence I lead with 25 homers 85 or 90 RBI's we need that right now I'm thanks God the Anthony here.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_00]: He's a boom.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_00]: That's the guy we won here I was you remember you remember about that deck with when I was here.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_00]: I said all we want to steer All we want to tell the word this was surprise
- 15:33[SPEAKER_04]: Joe Adele is adding to what the bringing difference and bringing power is this the most excitement I want to pull the whole room that we've had for Cleveland baseball since I don't know when just because like you've got Buster only you've got the national media go on
- 15:48[SPEAKER_04]: on MLB network saying that the Cleveland Guardians, number one team in the American League, like now we're starting to get some flowers that we haven't had thrown our direction before, like this feels like the most exciting time to be a Cleveland baseball fan since
- 16:05[SPEAKER_04]: perhaps the name change.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_00]: I've never seen a couple of years.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_00]: I've never seen the Browns.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_00]: I've never seen anybody in the trade line to get something like that.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_00]: We read four players.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to step up and help us out in the team that we need right now.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_00]: Heading, you know, one more guy to be the picture because we people need to realize something.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_00]: Our business stuff, we are the only business stuff in the whole baseball that be intact.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_00]: You know, all five that be fishing, are we leading the lead to in five more innings and over?
- 16:36[SPEAKER_00]: You know, nobody has that.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody be hurt.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_00]: This year, they haven't put the numbers because they don't want the people to know how many guys are being hurt.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_00]: Plus, to everybody in our team that being there every day, at least fishing fineings, and give us the opportunity to win.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_00]: So we need to go extra.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_00]: We need to go there and show everybody the world.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_00]: We are capable too, and we need to go.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_00]: Next week, we're gonna play against the white socks.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_00]: Next week, we're gonna play against the Detroit.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_00]: Next week, we're gonna be playing against nobody whom we play, we need to win series.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_00]: We've been losing five series in a row.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_00]: We need to step up and go all the way.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_00]: That's what we need.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_05]: Carlos, the offense additions didn't stop at Joe Adele, then later in the day we found out we got Nathaniel Low from the Cincinnati Red.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_05]: A guy that brings championship experience.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_05]: He was there with the Texas Rangers and Carlos.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_05]: You got an opportunity to catch up with Nathaniel Low, kind of ask him about that experience and how we can help the Guardians get over that proverbial playoff hump.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_00]: Now you're coming from, you're from Spain.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_00]: There was a room with Texas.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_00]: We need the worst areas.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_00]: Then you play off right here.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: We Boston.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: You go to a young team that's been the play of, but we need to go to a next level.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_00]: How important is your, the talented that you have to bring it here?
- 17:50[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the talent's all here.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_03]: It's just about execution for the next two months.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_03]: We need to get ourselves in the strongest position possible to make a deeper and to make something happen.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_03]: And when the guys start believing that, anything could happen.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_05]: great question Carlos for those that might not have watched Nathaniel low play a lot of baseball there in Cincinnati.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_05]: What kind of player should fans expect?
- 18:09[SPEAKER_00]: I like it.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_00]: You know why?
- 18:10[SPEAKER_00]: Because he brings difference through.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_00]: He's a group great defensive player.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_00]: He's very good in the close house.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_00]: You know, hey, she's got happy.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_00]: You know, they play together.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_00]: He takes us.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_00]: They went together.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_00]: The next year he played together, you know, in the play of I hate you say we bring a guy that he's ready for.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_00]: He got, I he's picked parties through.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_00]: He
- 18:29[SPEAKER_00]: This is a great move that Tonelli bring here, a guy that know how to pinch it, not too many guys can do that.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: This is the Billix, you're facing 97 98 in the last part of the game, so when he don't start,
- 18:44[SPEAKER_00]: He left me, he can't go from the bench or help us out.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_00]: That's another close that we have.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't say they must go on Friday wasn't doing it.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_00]: Because I knew they did a great job from the last few years.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_00]: But we bring you experience.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_00]: But he's saying a word.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_00]: that we need to step up and do it.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_00]: That's a cute, yes or no, that's a cute, we man on bass, put the body play, something can happen.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_00]: If we put the body play, we're striking out with too many times.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_00]: We man on third bass, a man on second bass.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_00]: We need to put the body play to win games.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_04]: And it is, it's the, it's the, it's the other guys that need to step up around these new pieces too Carlos right because obviously like you can't look at Joe Adele in Nathaniel low as the two saviors for the season in their own right it's what the threat of those bats does for the entire line up right like we need more out of Jose even though Bazana Delater have been great.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we need more out of them.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_04]: We need more out of everybody to kind of put it into this crisis that has been just leaving Ben, you know, leaving base runners stranded out there in the infield.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_00]: I know the thing is bringing these guys now, you know, Rocky, Bassana like the animation
- 19:58[SPEAKER_00]: Now you know how to be in there every about like I have to do something.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: No, hey, be relaxed move the guy over when you have to move it over on the wrong one the ball when you need to Run the basis right we need to run the basis right to you know to and take advantage of any Battleboards any error that they make take advantage of that and those are the little things that we need to do in the and I know and I know and I feel
- 20:23[SPEAKER_00]: that Mr. Bob, yesterday, it got a big meeting with the players.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_00]: I'm talking about, you know, that we bring these guys, there are no supermen.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to be adding to that what we've been doing in the last few months.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_00]: So let's have some fun.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_00]: That's the key right there.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_00]: I have some fun.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: We want the friends to keep coming to the ballpark and you know what, our fish is not going to be okay and we're going to be good.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_05]: Carlos, the reinforcements weren't just to the offense.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_05]: One to the starting rotation, foster Griffin and one to the bullpen, Craig Yoho.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_05]: Talk a little bit about both of them.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_05]: Let's start here with foster Griffin, not often.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_05]: You're able to bring in an all-star pitcher at this point in the season, especially for our Cleveland Guardians.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_05]: How do you see him sliding into the starting rotation?
- 21:05[SPEAKER_05]: And I think you touched on a little bit earlier.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_05]: Does this kind of signaling you think may be slayed movement to a bullpen role?
- 21:10[SPEAKER_05]: Yes.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_00]: That's what that's what happened and it happened yesterday and he helped us out in there, you know, saving a bullpen that's been pitching a little bit of most more in the last few weeks.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that is really good.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_00]: He's a lefty too.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, this year.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what's going on with baseball.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's been the worst hitting against Lefty.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_00]: You know, anything, not just the Williams.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody, the Yankees, the Doors, you know, everybody going to a tough time.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_00]: So we bringing a Lefty, but not just.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_00]: any lefty.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_00]: We bring you somebody to have 12 and 3.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_00]: I watched him basically the braids.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_00]: I did that game over there in Alana.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_00]: Unbelievable.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_00]: I wasn't surprised.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_00]: But you know what?
- 21:53[SPEAKER_00]: This guy coming from Japan.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_00]: He playing Japan last year.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_00]: He reached really good.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_00]: And he liked his attitude.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_00]: I liked the way he pitched in the game.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_00]: And someday they have a lefty.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_00]: You know what?
- 22:04[SPEAKER_00]: They hit.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_00]: 171.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_00]: So, these guys give us a opportunity.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_00]: And in the last eight games, he means just give up your two runs.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you know, we need to keep adding somebody like that to our one of the best fishings stuff in the game.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody they come to play to Cleveland.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_00]: They say, wow, we're going to be facing Gabby Williams.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_00]: What Gabby is doing is amazing.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_00]: That's why I call him and
- 22:34[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all we say, we call him roll your clemence, I call him roll your clemence, Gabby William, and Messi is win a Messi, and you know what, Cleveland fans, we are blessed to have Messi.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_00]: Messi right now is in the top five for the side y'all.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_00]: Who spent that?
- 22:51[SPEAKER_00]: Did you think that he wasn't gonna do this?
- 22:54[SPEAKER_00]: Never, he's been a man, he's been a monster game, you know what, but you know, with the best closer in the game, the best, you know what, we lost class there.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_00]: On everybody, we're like, wow, we are gonna be going down.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_00]: Chase, it's been amazing, and we are blessed here in Cleveland.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_05]: Carlos, let's kind of wrap up the conversation, kind of an overhauling, arching theme of the Ale Central.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_05]: Three teams were buyers here, us, the Cleveland Guardians, as well as the Chicago White Sox, they were aggressive, and then the twins, who we weren't quite sure what they were going to do with the deadline, it looks like they became buyers.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_05]: Who do you think had the best deadline out of those three teams, and how do you kind of see the Ale Central shaping out as we round out into postseason form?
- 23:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think we did a great job with the four guys.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_00]: Chicago, White Siles sauce.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_00]: They proved to bring in Brasobam, bringing Luis Cattillo.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_00]: I know Luis Cattillo being going to a tough time in the draft few years.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_00]: But I think this is a wake up company.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes you need something like a boom.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_00]: Wake up, you career is going down, and that team is a young team that played really good baseball.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that was a good move for them, you know, for the white shows.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't bring another guy too.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_00]: I can't remember the name, they bring wholesale kidding.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_00]: A better picture than know how to pitch.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and a joy bar in culture.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_00]: But you know what, Louis Cattillo is going to be the key for them.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_00]: to keep you hoping that, you know, not even there.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_00]: Minnesota, then we're for me, and then we're for Hoffman, the closer for the runner-Bruyers too.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, if we kind of give up playing hard, we kind of give up, I'm spent, you know, let's see down.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_00]: We made them move, everything gonna happen.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_00]: You know what, you have to do it.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_00]: You need to step up and, you know, do the right thing to win games, bring those guys from third base.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_00]: That's what it's, put the body play something can happen.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_05]: Carlos, before we take a little trip down memory lane, cause something special, I don't wanna say special, that's mean, something funny happened a little bit three years ago, but before we do that, Carlos, last thing about kind of the trade deadline here.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_05]: Man, Terriq School will go into the Dodgers.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_05]: What did you make of it?
- 24:57[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, well.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_00]: didn't really kill your mood we know you know what peace me off and I know that we wasn't gonna make up that that that's it that's right that because he threatened that don't want to give it to us because we always what we've been doing to Detroit the last three years that would only make it work it was gonna be the worst and the final one gonna be pissed off but you know what
- 25:16[SPEAKER_00]: When you, when you see the players that they get, you say, wow, the jankies kind of give up anybody, did they feel out of your feeling, did they boss on the record, did they any other thing come send prospect like that, or better?
- 25:32[SPEAKER_00]: Don't be crying about the doyers, the doyers, the doyers, the doyers, you don't want Juno wing games, we named.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_00]: Juno wing gates in the field, that 27 out, you got two legs, two eyes, and two arms, and you'll have to play the game.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_00]: Last year, almost Toronto Blue Yade here, the doyers.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_00]: They should have a way, they should have a way.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_00]: Why not?
- 25:52[SPEAKER_00]: Why not?
- 25:53[SPEAKER_00]: I know.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_00]: So, let's go, come to the ballpark, watch the Cleveland while you guys, let's have some fun players.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_00]: this is your time.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_00]: Let's take it over.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_04]: All right, Carlos, we would be remiss if we didn't reminisce with you about something crazy that happened at the ballpark three years ago today.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_04]: Down goes Anderson, Jose Ramirez, really alters Tim Anderson's MLB future when he knocked him out there in the infield.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_04]: Were you in the ballpark for that?
- 26:23[SPEAKER_04]: Is that one of the craziest things you've ever seen?
- 26:25[SPEAKER_00]: That's the crazy thing.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_00]: I never see anything like that, but you know what?
- 26:28[SPEAKER_00]: That's a no cow, that the world has had to give up to everybody in the American League, something like what Jose Ramirez did that you right now, that guy haven't played against the same way.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_00]: He's out of the baseball right now.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_00]: So something like that, we need it.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_00]: I know that I don't want nobody to fight or any of that.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_00]: But you know what, we need to step on like the way Jose Ramirez.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_00]: And I please.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_00]: for Jose Ramirez to get healthy right away that helps us out because now adding those two guys and we Jose Ramirez are often going to look a lot better and Cleveland while there's going to be a lot better to go bless everybody.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's a honor to be with you guys, brother.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_04]: And we'll keep the August fifth love going as on this day, 2001.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_04]: The Cleveland Indians, the greatest single game come back ever erased a huge deficit against the Seattle Mariners
- 27:17[SPEAKER_04]: well over 100 games that year.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_04]: So something about today's date, August 5th, we get on Hell Hennell, August 5th in the past.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_04]: We've overcome insurmountable deficits on the field.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_04]: We've knocked out opposition on the field.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_04]: So maybe today, start us on the new.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_04]: August 5th is a good day for this organization.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_00]: Let's start at Winnie Street last year.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_00]: Eat August 1st.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_00]: We started Winnie
- 27:44[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go, while we ask, let's do it.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_05]: Carlos, real quick, one last question for you.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_05]: The Trade Deadline has now come and passed.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_05]: Why do you believe that the Cleveland Guardians can win the world series this year?
- 27:59[SPEAKER_00]: when you have the hard, you know, our players have, I think the guys that we bring that want to win too, they want to win again next time.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_00]: And I love, you know, when you win, you want to be in there again, sure.
- 28:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think that more fear is different.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_00]: You know, they play, you have to step up another level to, you know, to catch it right now.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_00]: And this city needs a championship from the wildeers.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_00]: We need it.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_00]: We, I want to see a parade.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_00]: I want to be jumping here and be playing the next day talking about what we did.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_00]: Let's make history, guys.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_00]: Let's do it.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_05]: Carlos, thank you for your time.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_05]: As always, look forward to catching up next week.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_05]: Have a wonderful day, my friend.

- 29:05[SPEAKER_05]: Welcome back into the Big Play Cleveland show right here exclusively on YouTube, presented by Fandle.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_05]: Thanks to Carlos Bayerga for coming on and talking all things, guards.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_05]: Nick, we're going to shift our attention now to the Cleveland Browns and nobody better to bring on.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_05]: Then a guy I call a friend of Brown's legend, Josh Cribbs live from, is that the great city of Kent, Ohio?
- 29:24[SPEAKER_05]: Is that Dick Stadium I see in the background, Josh?
- 29:27[SPEAKER_01]: Absolutely.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_01]: Dick Stadium in the flesh.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_01]: I'm here coaching as you guys
- 29:35[SPEAKER_05]: uh... and uh... just like the brown dot training camp everybody Josh we are six practices in now over there in barria and you know we've had some uh... some exaggerated i don't even know if that's the word exuberated conversations about the shonwatson and shador sanders and
- 29:53[SPEAKER_05]: Josh, the Sean's not looking all that polished.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_05]: It's been a while since he's played up to NFL speed.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_05]: Josh, you've come on here and kind of made the case for the Sean Watson to be the starting quarterback.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_05]: Almost a week full, or I guess seven days of practice for our Cleveland Browns.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_05]: Where are you standing right now on that quarterback competition and what are you seeing out of to Sean and also should or Sanders?
- 30:16[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I first want to say, you know, I definitely
- 30:19[SPEAKER_01]: realize that, you know, Shador is the favorite, you know, but me, I'm understanding the business aspect of it, looking at it, how not just the fans look at it, but how the staff sees it regardless of how the fancy see it, you know, and knowing the strong contract.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: And knowing, you know, all the inner workings of the national football and the hard work and how it is the business, however, you know, I want to, you know, take some heat off the shine as it relates to training camp only because, hey, when you're working with the same guys over and over, you've been working with these guys.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_01]: They know what you can do.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_01]: They know you're, you know, the receivers, uh, tail tails.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_01]: You know, so it becomes increasingly difficult, you know, to throw certain out when that receiver is going up against a DB who they've been going up against all you and they've been going up against, you know,
- 31:19[SPEAKER_01]: I would urge fans not to just look at, you know, if he's throwing an exceptional, you know, bad-and-down balls, but how does he move in a pocket?
- 31:27[SPEAKER_01]: Is he throwing it to the right guy, right?
- 31:29[SPEAKER_01]: Is he throwing it, you know, to the open receiver or the guy that's in the coverage, you know, that's in his progression.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_01]: Those are the things that we look at, you know, because when it comes to a game, hey, that opposing team, they don't know what we're running.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_01]: They haven't been practicing
- 31:46[SPEAKER_01]: I'll say it's never as bad as it looks and it's never as good as it looks.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_04]: Krebs, you're obviously a coach now, but you've played the quarterback position.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_04]: The thing that they're talking about with Shador Sanders is exactly what you just pointed out with Deshawn.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_04]: You know, Deshawn's the vet.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_04]: He knows who the receiver that is supposed to be open and where the ball is supposed to go.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_04]: He knows how to get these guys in and out of the huddle and communicate it at the line of scrimmage.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_04]: He knows how to flip protections, you know, in terms of the offensive line men.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_04]: It feels like as the coaching staff for the Browns are discussing this quarterback competition, they still are saying that those are the intangible areas where Shidorah needs to progress, but from your lens as a coach and somebody who also played quarterback, how important is all that pre-snaps?
- 32:39[SPEAKER_04]: we know Shador can throw the ball.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_04]: We've all seen it.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_04]: We know he could really let it rip deep, but how important is everything else that goes into the quarterback position?
- 32:48[SPEAKER_04]: And is that the stuff that the Browns are really looking at from a coaching perspective in this competition right now?
- 32:55[SPEAKER_01]: You hit the nail on the head.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_01]: So a lot of things that the fans just don't see is everything behind the scenes.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_01]: Everything that goes into the play, Chris, snap, and Post snap.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, on the snap, things changed drastically.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_01]: They did when I was a receiver in the NFL.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, if the safety comes down and the safety's rotate, hey, our routes.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_01]: my change so that if I were out of some changing now the quarterbacks progression is changing.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_01]: So pre-snap going in the quarterbacks try to grab as much information on that coverage as possible because that dictates where the where the a progression is supposed to go.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_01]: First read second third uses the triangle or high low looking at the whether we look at the alert and we we've been practicing the alert on this place so you know they're looking at
- 33:43[SPEAKER_01]: Did he have his eyes in the right place?
- 33:45[SPEAKER_01]: And that's why I was talking about as he relates to this song.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_01]: It's his eyes in the right place.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_01]: So when you look at, you know, it's your door and you look at him throwing a ball.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_01]: You're not, we're looking at it for more of a fan view.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know the play.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know the covers.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know the progression.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_01]: The coaches do.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_01]: So if you see a guy who has a success, hey, am I not a benderie?
- 34:03[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, that might not been the guy to, you know, that's supposed to get the ball.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: He may not be open during the game.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: You know, so let's keep that in mind when we're rating these quarterbacks, it's more than what we see with our own eyes.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's the place, the progression, everything pre and post snap.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_05]: Josh, how important is it that this quarterback race kind of wraps up sooner than later?
- 34:22[SPEAKER_05]: Cause Todd, he, you know, he's obviously still going through the installs.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_05]: I want to say, like, Thursday's the behind the end of the end of the, the installs, um, because Josh, it's important to have a starting quarterback that's comfortable with the cadence has all of those reps with the ones.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_05]: And that's kind of where a lot of people thought to Sean Watson would excel where Shador might struggle a little bit, but
- 34:43[SPEAKER_05]: But from what I'm reading and seeing it kind of seems like there's more almost pre-snap penalties when to shawns out there.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_05]: Does that surprise you and then back to kind of the first point?
- 34:51[SPEAKER_05]: How important is it that this quarterback race?
- 34:54[SPEAKER_05]: All right, you should put it this way that Todd Monk in names to start in quarterback sooner than later.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'll say this, first, let me address that, you know, you know, pre-snaps and, you know, and problems, you, you rather those happen there.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_01]: You know, so those aren't, you know, those are clean up stuff.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_01]: You know, those are things that are easily killing you up, so don't think that if they're making them a safe pre-snaps.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_01]: or making mistakes in training camp that they will carry over.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_01]: That's the place for it to happen.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_01]: You know, if we're talking about the week of the first season game or you know, the week of the last season game, then we may have an issue that's ongoing.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_01]: But as it relates to time-munking, picking a starter.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to just, the cast out the bag guys, the starter has been picked.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_01]: He just hasn't come out and said, so everyone knows that, you know, and as I walk around the room is we get ready for our camp and I've been in many camps before this.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, the coordinator knows who his father is.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_01]: You know, whether they, you know, express that to everyone else.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_01]: You know, that's something different, but they, they, they, it's not, you know, just a competition like it's totally up in the wildlife and you go to him and you go to him, they have an idea or more than an idea, I am almost certain of who the starter we're going to be, it's going to be so just because we don't know don't mean that they don't know.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_04]: Josh, what do you make of the reports and I've been out there, I've seen it, the defense right now is certainly ahead of the offense.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_04]: Like there is no debating that throughout the first, you know, less than a real full week in terms of how long they've been out there.
- 36:29[SPEAKER_04]: They've only had their first two practices and pads, but what do you make of the defense being ahead of the offense at this point in the camp?
- 36:38[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think anyone is surprised.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_01]: You know, if you ask anybody who watches the Browns, who's watching the Browns, who come from the Browns, who are fans of the Browns, which side of the ball, do you think would be a hand at this point in a year is gonna be the defense.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_01]: You're not bringing a lot of different pieces to the puzzle.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_01]: You subtracted a little bit and you added certain pieces of a sea ball, get ball-type guy in verse, right?
- 37:03[SPEAKER_01]: That's the sea ball, get ball, get ball, get ball-type guy.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to give him a whole difference game.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_01]: Had you line him up on a writer on a left one in middle, similar to Garrett, and you tell him the sea ball, get ball.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_01]: You know, exactly like we all thought it would be, the defense is on track.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_01]: to be a top deepest in this football year and our question was offense.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_01]: That's why we brought into our market and I'm excited.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_01]: I heard an interview from Denzel Ward.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_01]: I'm excited to see his
- 37:41[SPEAKER_01]: leadership take another level.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_01]: Because he left by example, like Jill Thomas did for years, but wasn't the vocal guy, right?
- 37:48[SPEAKER_01]: And now guys with the subtraction of, you know, Miles Garrett, you see guys like Denzel Ward, who he was stepping up a little bit more verbally now and being that leader in a locker room and not just on the field.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I expect great things from our deep
- 38:05[SPEAKER_01]: our returning rookie of the year, crossing the Swissinger and all the weapons that we have.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_01]: But I also expect rickthings from this offense.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's okay for them to be a sleeper.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's okay for everybody to feel like the deep this is ahead.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_01]: The offense will take care of business on the top market.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_01]: I believe in these guys.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_01]: I've had a few types of opportunities to speak.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_01]: The coach's market, you know, at the fan event, at the stadium and at various occasions.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_01]: I believe that he's going to write this ship as a release our offense and get them back on track when they need to be.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_05]: Speaking of the defense and speaking of leadership guy, Jared Vers, who has quickly become what looks to appear a leader on that defense.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_05]: Josh, it's never easy to lose a player like Miles Garrett, but it certainly helps when the guy you're bringing in has the upside that Jared Vers does, has the leadership qualities that he's appeared to already shown there in Parilla.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_05]: How huge is that that he's come in and already kind of made himself one of the leaders on the defense.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_05]: He's still very young, Nick.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_05]: Please correct me if I'm wrong.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_05]: I believe 25, if not a little bit younger, 24, maybe.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_05]: How excited are you to see what Jared Vers can do on this Cleveland Brown's defense?
- 39:11[SPEAKER_05]: And how big of a bonus is it that he's coming in here and already showing?
- 39:14[SPEAKER_05]: He's capable of being a leader on that side of the ball.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'm I'm I'm excited for his his youth.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm excited for him to be able to, you know, be a staple on the defense.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm excited for his first act.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_01]: I think we need to get him started early.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_01]: Even if it's a Harry a throw a rush, you know, that that calls the quarterback, you know, to rush the football or
- 39:37[SPEAKER_01]: you know, a type of in the backfield, but I'm I'm anxious to see him get started early so that our fan base and everybody can can realize that, hey, I know Miles is not here, Jennifer's has us, and a lot of the, now a lot of those guys like Mason Graham and the supporting cast of the deepest can really show themselves when that front line and be who they need, who we need them to be for this football team.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_04]: Josh, it sounds like back to the quarterbacks.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_04]: It sounds like Todd wants to give both of these dudes an actual opportunity in the pre-season, which I think I'm a fan of.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_04]: I think they both need to have a little bit of live action to help the Browns finalize this starting quarterback decision throughout your career.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_04]: Where did you stand on point?
- 40:23[SPEAKER_04]: playing in the preseason, not playing in the preseason.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_04]: I know different players have different feelings about it.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_04]: I know different coaches have different philosophies about their star players, about their starting players, participating in the preseason.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_04]: It seems at least like a couple of the Brown starters are going to play this preseason.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_04]: They're still trying to figure out exactly what that looks like ahead in next week's game against the Chicago Bears.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_04]: But these quarterbacks are going to get some run too.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_04]: When you played, where did you fall on preseason action?
- 40:53[SPEAKER_01]: Is that a question?
- 40:55[SPEAKER_01]: Come on, you know, I'm out there playing.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_01]: I'm out there in the trenches.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_01]: If you're, I believe, quote-of-act shit play.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they have to get their rhythm, the timing.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_01]: I understand, get them to the game, right?
- 41:07[SPEAKER_01]: I understand, hey, we got to get this guy to the season.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_01]: But that's where you tell her, you, you tell her your offense, so that, hey, he's not even touched.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, we're quick game right out of there.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, we're looking back, we're dropped back, we're protected Max Pro and we had one or two looks maybe three, you know, and there's not a, you know, a chance for him to get blindsided or hit and we keep that guy on a track, you know, and you do have what an opening script.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_01]: You do that with it even if he enters the game in the second quarter or you know then he has a script and then and they keep them on track.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a guy that a big proponent of getting these guys some breaking early so that the first game isn't their first game.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't want that first game to be the first game for them, because that game speed when it's real ball and it matters and it counts, guys behave differently on all sides of the ball.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_01]: You got to see real action.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_01]: That's in my opinion, that's the only way to feel comfortable enough.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_01]: Now you were savvy vet.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_01]: understand it.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_01]: Years in it, Rogers, Brady, go, I'm going to go to you.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_01]: I'm talking about the ghost here.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_01]: The guys that get just walking all the street, Omaha, Omaha, you know, those type of gas.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_01]: Now, if you those type of gas or your, your amount's getting a sea ball, get ball type of God, hey, you can do that.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_01]: But the type of guys that we have in our room, hey, they need to get some, they need to get some football and some real ball in, so they can go in the season full throttle ahead.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_05]: Josh, sometimes a quarterback can only be as good as receivers and last year, well, I guess that makes sense.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_05]: This year, we got two more guys in here, young talent, Casey, Concepts, Yone, and Denzel Boston.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_05]: Both seem to be looking the part early in Beria.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_05]: How exciting is it to you to hear that both those young guys are already making this kind of impression early on?
- 42:53[SPEAKER_01]: I'm excited, man, we talking about the offense, right?
- 42:56[SPEAKER_01]: We talking about how our quarterback, you know, we don't even know who our starter is, but one guy, one of these guys, these receivers that we have can help those guys.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_01]: It's not both of them, right?
- 43:06[SPEAKER_01]: Concepts you're on the Boston, you know, we got Boston for his, it's big playability.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_01]: Go land.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Redhead, he's a big receiver.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_01]: And you got conception on, you got a guy who can also return.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_01]: So you got a gadget guy, like a Z-flow.
- 43:18[SPEAKER_01]: So we expect him to be used like the Z-flowers is used in the Baltimore's offense last year under Todd Munkin.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, he's that guy that can get things done on the field for this offense and we need that out of both of these receivers.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_01]: So we wanna see those draft picks coming to fruition.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_01]: This'll be the second year that these guys that Andrew Burrins done a great job
- 43:41[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, and then Quintion Judkins, who is part of that great Andrew Barry draft class in 2025.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_04]: Josh, he looks so good.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_04]: I can't believe that it was late December that he suffered that devastating leg injury.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_04]: And there were people asking about how that was going to impact his football future.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_04]: a short couple of months later here we are in August this guy's on the practice field no sleeve Josh even on the leg no brace no anything he's cutting he's jumping he's shifting some of these guys are just different
- 44:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and that's what, you know, I was just about to say some of us are cut different, you know, you get injured, you know, you back out there, like it never happened.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_01]: And we fortunate enough that, you know, that, you know, his, his knee responded his leg responded to, uh, to rehab and he, and he went full steam ahead in his rehab and strengthening process and we'll have him to be the guy that we need him to be just like he was last season.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_01]: And hopefully we don't have to lean on him too much in the churches.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_01]: to where as when we do give him a football, he's productive and he shows out what his team makes it easier for us to throw passes down the field.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, what point does the rotating of the offensive line need to stop?
- 44:54[SPEAKER_04]: They drafted Spencer Fano in the top 10.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_04]: They're still rotating him with to Juan Jones.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_04]: They're trying to figure out who the fifth starter on the offensive line is going to be.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe it's Elton Jenkins, maybe Parker Brailsford could play some center,
- 45:11[SPEAKER_04]: Elton Jenkins at center.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_04]: There are so many different combinations that they could put together with this thing But as we get deeper into camp, they are still continuing that offensive line.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_04]: Cribs in your personal experience as a player in a coach at what point would they probably like to have that set?
- 45:29[SPEAKER_04]: So they know kind of who the starters are gonna be or at least Maybe if they already have that idea of who the starters are gonna be internally When do they put those guys on the field?
- 45:39[SPEAKER_04]: So they could start to get that comfort ability up
- 45:42[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you were answering the question for me.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_01]: They know who those guys are.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's really healthy for them to keep moving them around in cycling.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, just NFL.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's not if you're going to get into this win.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_01]: So all those guys are ready to play multiple positions.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, this is not the first time they were in the trenches.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_01]: So when they are called upon to play a position that they've never played before, hey, it's just like practice for these guys.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_01]: So don't be, you know, as a fan base, let's not be, you know, weary of our team preparing the office of line, just in case things happen like they've been happening, just in case we had the injury broke.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_01]: Even if we don't hit the entry book, hey, these guys can play multiple positions.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, this guy is one guy struggling in this game.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, let's go ahead and rotate.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_01]: You know, so these guys are able.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_01]: They're providing depth with rotating them and they're providing flexibility with these guys.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_01]: So they're not just stuck at one position of peace.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_05]: Josh, last one for me about the Browns, and we do want to talk some Kent State football, of course.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to try to find the best way to work this.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_05]: How much, like, what's that fine threshold between how much a coach and their ability to get the best out of their players?
- 46:57[SPEAKER_05]: Put the team over the hump versus a team that has talent versus a coach that really isn't getting the most out of his players.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_05]: And what I mean by that, like Indiana as an example.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_05]: The transport portal helped him, Mark Cuban's money helped him, but you don't just turn the worst football program in the country and do a national champion in two years unless you have something truly special in a coach that's leading that team.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_05]: Like how much of a difference can a coach in this first year and obviously in relating this to Todd Monk and B?
- 47:26[SPEAKER_05]: And do you think just from your observations with Todd Monk in that he has that in him to be that for the Browns?
- 47:33[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so we need him to be that for the brands is not if he has it because if if he does it, it'll be a short thing and you know how we go with coaches here with the Cleveland Browns is just like quarterbacks, you know, even you get it or you don't and you out two years top max or whatever unless you sign up fully guarantee contract.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_01]: over several years.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_01]: But however, when it comes to that coach, let's think of a Tommy, right?
- 48:00[SPEAKER_01]: Let's think of coaches like quarterbacks.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_01]: Let's think of how important the coach is, you know, when you have a team like Pittsburgh did, but it lasted years, still making it to the playoffs, and we're like how to have their making it to the playoffs.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_01]: What's the coach?
- 48:12[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they have top tier coaching.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_01]: That's the reason that organization has been in the play all for years, and they've had only one coach, two coaches in 50 years.
- 48:20[SPEAKER_01]: You know, because each coach played 20, 25 years, it's like they were quarterback.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_01]: We see Peyton Man and Lee, the Indianapolis coach.
- 48:27[SPEAKER_01]: And then the coach get the first pick of the drive because they were the worst team when he left.
- 48:31[SPEAKER_01]: And then when Andrew Luck came, now they're the best team in the league.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_01]: And now we're in the playoffs, the play game.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_01]: That team is that team that went from one to two wins.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_01]: Getting the first pick of the drive is now back at the top, just from a quarterback.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_01]: Same thing happens for a coaching.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_01]: You know, that coach can pull the best out of their guys and they have talent already.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_01]: You know, now you're looking at championship level teams, but if they don't have that talent and you still pulling the best out of a good group, now you have a Pittsburgh type team who, who I'll kick that coverage, but they're in the playoffs every year, you know, so coaching does matter and it's significant top monkey has stuff that's in the plate and I think he's right.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_04]: All right, Josh, we're not letting you off easy because you're joining us at Dick Stadium.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_04]: You said today is the day.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_04]: Maxim really begins as the golden flashes.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_04]: Our golden flashes, baby, are back on the field at Dick Stadium.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_04]: How's the crew look in this year?
- 49:24[SPEAKER_04]: And I know you love this new coaching avenue, era chapter of your football journey.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_04]: How excited are you coach cribs to get back on the field today?
- 49:35[SPEAKER_01]: For me, man, it's goose bumps all over, man.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_01]: I'm up a four day like all coaches are in training camp players, we're hitting the field, we're in meeting rooms, we're all day ball.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_01]: I had to sit out of techs last night, see you guys, hey, we ball all day ball.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_01]: So it's just exciting that I get to pour into my own model.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_01]: It's exciting that I get to pour into the same guys who are playing on the field that I played on.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, just the same, you know, excitement that I had playing in coaching for the Browns.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_01]: I did to use that same intuition, that same excitement because I played and now I'm coaching for the flashes.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_01]: We're excited.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_01]: This is a great year.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just gonna be quiet on that.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_01]: That's as much I'm gonna say about how we're gonna do because we'll let our work on the field speak for us.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_01]: But matching this in full effect, baby.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_04]: I absolutely can't wait, and even that school down the road is trying to play catch up.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if you've seen on social, they're trying to do some action with their season tickets, given fans and opportunity to put together the game script.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_04]: We don't need fans putting together game scripts in Kento, Ohio.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_04]: We've got football royalty like Josh Cribbs on this coaching staff.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_04]: I absolutely can't wait for the match to begin.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_01]: Josh, man, I love you, man.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_01]: Go ahead, man.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_05]: I know, you're not going to give away too much as you just said, but I'd be remiss if I didn't ask about this.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_05]: Week one at South Carolina on SEC Network.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_05]: Obviously, that's got to be super exciting.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_05]: A great opportunity for Kent State and yourself.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_05]: Are you looking forward to that in man?
- 51:20[SPEAKER_05]: What a way to start the 20, 20, 60s and for the Golden Flashes.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_01]: Ain't it though?
- 51:25[SPEAKER_01]: Ain't it a great way to start football 2026 for the flashes you said it.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_01]: Where's look?
- 51:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not just the only one exciting.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_01]: This guy, this team has a culture that was exciting to me.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_01]: Enough so that I came just to visit the team in the spring and now I'm coaching.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_01]: That's how good this culture is here.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_01]: So we need that to translate on the field and it starts.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_01]: So in September, again, this September, like you said, I get South Carolina Game Cox.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_05]: Josh, we appreciate you as always.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_05]: I know you got to get to work, Dick Stadium right behind you.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_05]: I appreciate your time.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_05]: Look forward to talking to you next week about Browns.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_05]: And I want to talk to you every week with you.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_05]: I think this has been fun.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_05]: Thanks, Josh.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_01]: Let's do that.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks, guys.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_01]: I appreciate you.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_05]: All right.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_05]: We're going to take a break.
- 52:11[SPEAKER_05]: We get back.

- 53:16[SPEAKER_05]: I'll be tuned in versus a candy pick any pick a big ticket.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'll be tuned in.
- 53:21[SPEAKER_04]: You know, I'll I'll I kind of curious to see what can he pick it looks like you Obviously with the Browns last year curious to see what Carson back looks like maybe the Browns could have had him on their radar We know that they were targeting those mid-round quarterbacks.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_04]: They escaped the NFL draft with tail and green So I'll be tuned into the Hall of Fame game football back low expectations
- 53:47[SPEAKER_04]: of the athletic released his yearly quarterback tears.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_04]: Now Mike Sandow does this a little bit differently than your traditional quarterback rankings.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_04]: He pulls every precies in 50 different NFL personnel.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_04]: So head coaches.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_04]: scouts, executives, and gets all 50 of these NFL staffers to rank the starting quarterbacks in the national football league.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_04]: Ryan, there are 32 starting quarterbacks in the national football league, and unfortunately for the Browns,
- 54:26[SPEAKER_04]: There are two quarterbacks are in the bottom.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_04]: The Browns were given the worst quarterback room.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_04]: In the national football league, in Mike Santos quarterback tears, but there were some brutal things said, written and communicated about Shidorah Sanders, who was ranked the 35th quarterback in football.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_04]: Right, there are only 32 teams.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_04]: Dishon Watson was ranked 31 of the 32 and Sanders was ranked 35th.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_04]: This is the league saying this about Shidorah Sanders.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_04]: I want to preface with that.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_04]: This is what the league thinks of Shidorah Sanders.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_04]: Actual league personnel.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_04]: These aren't people that are spending $75 on accurate sipses and tickets and then getting to assemble.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_04]: You know, the first drive of the M. D's are actual living and breathing people that work in the NFL on a given.
- 55:17[SPEAKER_04]: day to day, have centers as the 35th range quarterback in football.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_04]: We have a quote right from an anonymous NFL defensive coordinator who says, I'd sleep like a baby if I got to play him every week.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_04]: Jim shorts.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_04]: We've got a quote from another defensive coordinator who
- 55:38[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe, gave a little bit of light as the Y Shidorah is ramed so low on this list.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_04]: He's not an on-time player.
- 55:46[SPEAKER_04]: Can't really read through coverages.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_04]: Is a bit heavy-footed.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_04]: He's thicker and harder to tackle than expected, but you should never lose him.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_04]: We've got a quote from a football executive in the National Football League, who said he's inaccurate at all three levels.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_04]: I can't tell if he's going to get better, but there's a huge gap between him and
- 56:08[SPEAKER_04]: Now I didn't want to bring all of this stuff to the show today because you know us, we're relatively pro Shidorah Sanders, we want to see Shidorah get this opportunity to start for the Cleveland Browns and prove these doubters wrong.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_04]: You understand that these are the people that are doubting Shidorah Sanders, they're not the people that you see or read the media, they're not the people that you
- 56:32[SPEAKER_04]: see covering the team out there at training camp.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_04]: These are actual living and breathing people in the national football league who are telling you Shoulder Sanders is not very good.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_04]: So I know there are people in the Shoulder Sanders crew and in the Shoulder Sanders corner Then we're gonna be get really mad and say
- 56:50[SPEAKER_04]: Well, these are off the record.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_04]: Of course, you know, the anonymous defensive coordinate right.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_04]: I agree with that.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_04]: And none of those people will say some crazy things.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_04]: I'll say some crazy things.
- 56:59[SPEAKER_04]: Anonymously about this state of Cleveland sports, but the league is telling you all 50 of these guys got pulled.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_04]: And they put them all together.
- 57:07[SPEAKER_04]: Sanders right now, the 35th ranked quarterback in the NFL.
- 57:12[SPEAKER_04]: And for all of these wild, crazy people that say, well, they got to get out of Cleveland.
- 57:21[SPEAKER_04]: Who's calling for him?
- 57:22[SPEAKER_04]: This, this is the league that voted on this that currently has him graded as the 35th pastor.
- 57:30[SPEAKER_04]: This is the best possible scenario for Shidorah Sanders.
- 57:35[SPEAKER_04]: And I know his fans don't want to hear that.
- 57:37[SPEAKER_04]: I
- 57:37[SPEAKER_04]: I get it, I understand why.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_04]: This is Cleveland, Ohio.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_04]: We have a reputation for screwing up these quarterbacks.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_04]: I would venture to say they screwed it up last year because Shador had a lot more talent and a lot more promise than the dude that was drafted 50 spots ahead of him that got those first team raps during the off season.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_04]: So I hear you Shador Sanders fans.
- 57:59[SPEAKER_04]: I just wanna tell ya, the grass isn't always greener and they are genuinely trying to do right by this kid.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_05]: The league told us what they thought about Shador Sanders when he slid to the fifth round in the Cleveland Browns picked him up.
- 58:14[SPEAKER_04]: It wasn't sabotaged.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_05]: And this then clearest day.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_05]: And since then.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_05]: He's given them a seven touchdown to 10 interception first season for them to kind of add to their initial evaluation of should or so that doesn't surprise me and we'll get to I want to hear who he ranks above the 33 34 31 32 33 I'm curious to see that it tells you
- 58:40[SPEAKER_05]: they didn't see enough in that rookie year to kind of sway their initial presumptions about how should our seniors is gonna translate to the NFL, but I agree with you.
- 58:49[SPEAKER_05]: And I think some people are starting to understand that that Cleveland, right?
- 58:53[SPEAKER_05]: Although is not known for developing quarterbacks, that's for certain, it's his really only chance, right?
- 59:01[SPEAKER_05]: It's like, it's like, you go into the prom, right?
- 59:04[SPEAKER_05]: Like, you don't have many options to date.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_05]: If you want to ask a girl who you're not really that into, then maybe he's a little, I don't even mean ugly, right?
- 59:11[SPEAKER_05]: But you're still not going alone.
- 59:13[SPEAKER_05]: Is it better than doing that?
- 59:14[SPEAKER_05]: We gave him a date, right?
- 59:17[SPEAKER_04]: And his competition here, like let's not, let's not get lost in this.
- 59:24[SPEAKER_04]: His competition here, in this quarterback competition that he's currently really in, got booed at a training camp practice yesterday.
- 59:33[SPEAKER_04]: That's what Shidorah's going against into Sean Watson.
- 59:36[SPEAKER_04]: He got booed in a practice.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_04]: Fans took off work on a Tuesday in a blue collar town like Cleveland, Ohio.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_04]: Sad on their computer to get those training camp tickets the minute they go available because they go quickly.
- 59:52[SPEAKER_04]: They got in their car, they drove to Burya.
- 59:55[SPEAKER_04]: They paid to park in somebody's driveway.
- 59:59[SPEAKER_04]: and they booed the guy that could be the starting quarterback of the team.
- 1:00:02[SPEAKER_04]: That's reality for Shidorah Sanders.
- 1:00:04[SPEAKER_04]: So take that guy down.
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_04]: It's a golden opportunity.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_04]: Prove these doubters wrong.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_04]: Better in the national football league that don't believe that you belong.
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_04]: That believe that you're a one-read quarterback.
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_04]: That believe that you're heavy-footed.
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_04]: And you don't have the escape ability to survive at this level.
- 1:00:19[SPEAKER_04]: Like, prove all of those people wrong.
- 1:00:21[SPEAKER_04]: The opportunity is right in front of you because the guy that you're competing against
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_04]: there.
- 1:00:29[SPEAKER_04]: In every single practice, he does not have it anymore.
- 1:00:32[SPEAKER_04]: He is completely washed.
- 1:00:34[SPEAKER_04]: There's no reason for the Browns to put to Sean Watson on that field.
- 1:00:37[SPEAKER_04]: And guys, guess what?
- 1:00:39[SPEAKER_04]: the prowess knowing they realize it I want to play a game where where I take you back in a time portal to Indianapolis and the NFL combine remember Ryan what Munkin said at the combine he wanted to name that starting quarterback by the end of spring practices spring practices come break spring practices go munkin wasn't ready to name a guy completely back paddled on one of the first things that he said is ahead coach was he didn't want this competition to bleed on forever you want to identify your quarterback in the spring.
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I haven't been able to identify a quarterback because nobody's separating neither of these guys have been phenomenal on the practice field.
- 1:01:17[SPEAKER_04]: They were hoping that the cream would rise to the top, but the milk was spoiled from the jump and I told you that Indianapolis Mike Sando's rankings match
- 1:01:27[SPEAKER_04]: perfectly with what I told you guys when I was literally in Indianapolis connecting from my hotel room to the studio.
- 1:01:35[SPEAKER_04]: I was with scouts in the AFC who told me the Brown's got to get a quarterback this off season.
- 1:01:42[SPEAKER_04]: That's why I was telling you guys, tie Simpson, keep an eye on it.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_04]: Malik Willis, keep an eye on it.
- 1:01:47[SPEAKER_04]: The Brown's decided not to bark up any of those trees.
- 1:01:51[SPEAKER_04]: They wanted to see what they had in the final year of Deshawn's contract.
- 1:01:56[SPEAKER_04]: Guess what, not much.
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_04]: They want to see what they have in Chador Sanders.
- 1:02:00[SPEAKER_04]: Who did show some flashes during his seven starts is a rookie guess what the rest of the league thinks he's the 35th ranked quarterback in a league that only has 32 teams.
- 1:02:11[SPEAKER_04]: We're going to spend so much time throughout the rest of the camp debating lots and versus Sanders and what really comes of all this, Ryan, the truth is and I know it's going to upset people because you don't want to waste your fall, you don't want to waste your winter watching a product that might not be all that great.
- 1:02:28[SPEAKER_04]: They're only allowed 14 more practices in the pads.
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_04]: Per the collective bargaining agreement.
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_04]: Well, that was the whole reason why Munkin changed his mind about not naming a starter in the spring, wasn't not?
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_04]: He said he wanted to see Watson and Sanders and pads.
- 1:02:42[SPEAKER_04]: You've got 14 more practices.
- 1:02:43[SPEAKER_04]: That's such a small window.
- 1:02:45[SPEAKER_04]: And the fact that nobody has separated themselves as the calendar flips to August where we play real games, you start to understand the concern and you start to understand the lens
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe Jimmy has them's prediction of over five and a half wins could be a little bit difficult to get to, even though we love all the young talents on this team, we're optimistic about the defense, we're optimistic about concepts, you own, and Boston, I just don't think it can be communicated enough, but the rest of the league doesn't think that this quarterback room is any good.
- 1:03:18[SPEAKER_04]: So if they're not good on Sundays, we should not be surprised.
- 1:03:23[SPEAKER_04]: no i don't think anybody would be surprised neck at the in the slightest i think that's pretty much expected the the the happy outcome is you get but pretty decent quarterback play you read the youtube comments when i say these things and you say you see the people that are furiously typing at me saying well neck you've got your quarterback your quarterbacks in the building why are you looking forward to a high-o-state versus texas week two why are you looking forward to watching college football on Saturdays
- 1:03:48[SPEAKER_04]: Because guys, the league just sent out a survey and the Browns quarterbacks were ranked 31 and 30.
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_05]: Let's put it this way.
- 1:03:55[SPEAKER_05]: I feel very good in the sense that Shidorah Sanders will have an opportunity to play a good amount of games this season.
- 1:04:01[SPEAKER_05]: And I think that he has that opportunity again to prove to the rounds if that he is that quarterback.
- 1:04:06[SPEAKER_05]: But right, similar to these scouts and we're not saying that he's a 35th.
- 1:04:10[SPEAKER_05]: best quarterback at the NFL, but what we are saying is he sure as hell has not proven yet that he is the Browns franchise quarterback, not saying he can't be, but I don't think anybody can make that statement that he's for, for certainly is, right?
- 1:04:21[SPEAKER_05]: No way, but people online are, you know, that you know what I mean, like, should or it.
- 1:04:26[SPEAKER_04]: And maybe that's maybe that's the silent majority that they always talk about in politics that the 1% of crazy people on either side will be the loudest in every argument I just can't help when I'm on the big play Cleveland YouTube channel and I see the comments under the clips that we post on here And these people are calling me crazy because I'm not all the way in on Shidorah Sanders
- 1:04:51[SPEAKER_04]: Guys, it's because I don't know that the team is all the way in on Shidorah Sanders.
- 1:04:55[SPEAKER_04]: It's because I don't know that the league is all the way in on Shidorah Sanders and we're given this platform, we're given this space where we can communicate directly to the Browns fans, and I can't sit here in cell Browns fan on false hope.
- 1:05:09[SPEAKER_04]: I feel like Browns fans have been tortured too much.
- 1:05:12[SPEAKER_04]: Throughout the since 1999 when this organization has been back, they've been tormented, they've been sold on so much false hope.
- 1:05:19[SPEAKER_04]: It's not that I'm trying to be negative.
- 1:05:21[SPEAKER_04]: I'm optimistic about what Shidorah could do.
- 1:05:23[SPEAKER_04]: If they named Sean Watson the starting quarterback, I'll be counting down the minutes until we finally get to see Shidorah because he can be our escape out of this.
- 1:05:33[SPEAKER_04]: You just got to understand that it's a lottery ticket.
- 1:05:36[SPEAKER_04]: How often do you buy a powerball, mega million, hoping that you get to go into work the next day and quit.
- 1:05:42[SPEAKER_04]: And it really never happens.
- 1:05:44[SPEAKER_04]: You really don't know anybody that it's ever even happened to.
- 1:05:48[SPEAKER_04]: That's where we're at with this Shidorah thing.
- 1:05:50[SPEAKER_04]: Sure it could happen, but the rest of the league is actively trying to tell you right now that it might not.
- 1:05:56[SPEAKER_04]: And if it doesn't, it's okay.
- 1:05:58[SPEAKER_04]: It's a fifth round pick who played our right in seven games and he's gonna have an opportunity to play again a little bit more this year, but trying to make him something that he's not is just so grossly unfair.
- 1:06:09[SPEAKER_04]: And I actually thought Todd,
- 1:06:11[SPEAKER_04]: said that perfectly yesterday when he was asked about Chador's development.
- 1:06:15[SPEAKER_04]: He was like, look, we all want for it to be right now.
- 1:06:19[SPEAKER_04]: We do.
- 1:06:19[SPEAKER_04]: It would be great.
- 1:06:21[SPEAKER_04]: It's the best possible outcome for the Browns.
- 1:06:24[SPEAKER_04]: If Chador Sanders is ahead, you got two first round picks next year.
- 1:06:27[SPEAKER_04]: You're off to the races.
- 1:06:28[SPEAKER_04]: You got two second round picks the next year after that, you could really build this team around him.
- 1:06:35[SPEAKER_04]: It's really just an organization in my mind that set up to go find this QBNA pro.
- 1:06:39[SPEAKER_05]: Well, no, no, that's exactly what it is.
- 1:06:40[SPEAKER_05]: And I'm excited to see Shidorah Sanders right, but you can bet your bottom dollar right now at this moment in no way shape or form or they hitching their wagon to Shidorah Sanders being their quarterback at the future.
- 1:06:50[SPEAKER_05]: Like, can that progress throughout the season and he gives them enough?
- 1:06:53[SPEAKER_05]: It's still a long shot, and I personally don't really think there's anything outside of Shidorah Sanders just absolutely playing out of his mind that's gonna stop him from taking a quarterback in the first round next season.
- 1:07:02[SPEAKER_05]: But regardless of what your name is, who you are, right, like a fifth round rookie who comes in first season and posts at seven interception, or simply, seven touchdowns, 10 interceptions, takes action, whether it's as far or not, and I think it will get better with an improved online and weapons this year, doesn't matter who you are.
- 1:07:19[SPEAKER_05]: No franchise is stitching themselves to a quarterback that is.
- 1:07:24[SPEAKER_05]: provided that production so far.
- 1:07:25[SPEAKER_05]: But again, that can't that can't change Nick.
- 1:07:27[SPEAKER_05]: Let's have some fun right now.
- 1:07:29[SPEAKER_05]: I have not seen this list.
- 1:07:30[SPEAKER_05]: So I'm excited.
- 1:07:31[SPEAKER_05]: So 35th ranked quarterback.
- 1:07:35[SPEAKER_05]: they had should-or Sanders.
- 1:07:36[SPEAKER_05]: So this gives us what, three backups that he has ranked out of should-or Sanders.
- 1:07:40[SPEAKER_05]: So I don't have my math correct.
- 1:07:41[SPEAKER_05]: This is my math correct.
- 1:07:42[SPEAKER_04]: It's rolled up on here, but yeah.
- 1:07:44[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, there would be three backups that are still being done.
- 1:07:46[SPEAKER_04]: So we don't have the full list of stuff.
- 1:07:47[SPEAKER_04]: I don't have the full list of stuff.
- 1:07:48[SPEAKER_05]: Because I'm going to guess.
- 1:07:50[SPEAKER_04]: But it's no surprise.
- 1:07:51[SPEAKER_04]: So he brace it down, tier one, tier two, tier three, four, and five.
- 1:07:55[SPEAKER_04]: No surprise that both of the Browns quarterbacks are in that fifth tier.
- 1:08:00[SPEAKER_04]: But I also think it's worth mentioning
- 1:08:05[SPEAKER_04]: And that's Patrick Mahomes, who's still up top even though he had his injury last year.
- 1:08:10[SPEAKER_04]: Josh Allen, Matt Stafford, Joe Burrow, those are the only members in Tier 1.
- 1:08:15[SPEAKER_04]: Again, as voted by NFL staffers around the league.
- 1:08:19[SPEAKER_04]: This isn't just some guy that woke up the morning and put together a list.
- 1:08:23[SPEAKER_04]: This is how the league views these guys.
- 1:08:25[SPEAKER_04]: Say Tier 1 for me again real quick.
- 1:08:26[SPEAKER_04]: Mahomes, Allen, Stafford, Burrow are the only QBs voted in Tier 1.
- 1:08:34[SPEAKER_04]: Lamar Jackson, Justin Hurber, Dak Prescott, Drake May, Jared Goff, and Jordan Love, are in tier two.
- 1:08:45[SPEAKER_04]: Shidorah comes in dead last, one spot behind, JJ McCarthy, who is 34.
- 1:08:53[SPEAKER_04]: And I believe Tua is at the bottom at 26,
- 1:08:59[SPEAKER_04]: and camward and Jackson Dart are still fighting for respect at the bottom of this tier five as well.
- 1:09:06[SPEAKER_04]: So so that's the QBs that he's lumped in with.
- 1:09:09[SPEAKER_04]: Camward, Jackson Dart, Tua, and JJ McCarthy.
- 1:09:14[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 1:09:14[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I think that pretty much adds up, JJ McCarthy.
- 1:09:19[SPEAKER_05]: The small sample size, but it was bad, but at times did show it like when he wanted to troll it.
- 1:09:24[SPEAKER_05]: I was like, well, I actually thought like, okay, this kid is going to be something.
- 1:09:27[SPEAKER_05]: We'll see what happens there in Minnesota.
- 1:09:29[SPEAKER_04]: I'm similar to Shidorah second half against like Tennessee.
- 1:09:31[SPEAKER_04]: The bronze loss that game partially because he was so bad in the first half, but the second half showed you some things that showed okay, maybe there is something.
- 1:09:39[SPEAKER_05]: I'm not going to pretend like there was some insane level of difference between Jackson Darren Schroer Sanders.
- 1:09:43[SPEAKER_05]: I think Jacks start had a better rookie year.
- 1:09:45[SPEAKER_05]: Agreed.
- 1:09:46[SPEAKER_05]: He's crazy.
- 1:09:47[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 1:09:48[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, right.
- 1:09:48[SPEAKER_05]: I'm not saying that he didn't have a better situation.
- 1:09:51[SPEAKER_05]: And Cam Ward, same thing like.
- 1:09:54[SPEAKER_05]: you're trusting the development and the arm strength and the ability to throw it all of these angles with cam word that that's what makes them special and I think that's what kind of and not every quarterback has a special trade right that's again why he's drafted in the fifth round I just don't what's in the world you know what's right Donald special trade just won the full one the super all this is some great to this point has been turned in the ball of
- 1:10:15[SPEAKER_05]: Right.
- 1:10:15[SPEAKER_05]: And it's this again.
- 1:10:16[SPEAKER_05]: That's why it's possible.
- 1:10:17[SPEAKER_05]: The greatest strength of them all is the ability to at a elite level, read defenses and your decision making and not, again, not turn the ball over.
- 1:10:24[SPEAKER_05]: Like, that's something that should or can develop.
- 1:10:26[SPEAKER_05]: Sure.
- 1:10:27[SPEAKER_05]: As you there yet know, it's possible.
- 1:10:28[SPEAKER_05]: So I mean, the projections make sense.
- 1:10:31[SPEAKER_05]: I understand why people would say they're frustrated, but the projections 35th, maybe a little harsh.
- 1:10:37[SPEAKER_05]: But again, I understand it completely.
- 1:10:40[SPEAKER_04]: It is, especially because like, and I also see why it's easy to get mad at this because you got to a 26 and Shador 35, nine spots behind to a 31, if you ask me right now if I'd rather have Shador to a.
- 1:10:57[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if she told her.
- 1:10:58[SPEAKER_04]: Of course you do.
- 1:10:59[SPEAKER_04]: Because there's an unknown there, and I think that is something that still plays to Shador's strength.
- 1:11:04[SPEAKER_04]: And you haven't heard from the executive in this article that said, listen, I can't predict whether he's going to get better or not.
- 1:11:10[SPEAKER_04]: But based on what he saw last year, he said that it was a far gap between composing quarterback play and what Shador Sanders showed.
- 1:11:18[SPEAKER_04]: And you got to be honest with what these executives were given last year.
- 1:11:22[SPEAKER_04]: In that seven game sample size, albeit with camera Robinson and KT Levist in a tackle and Sal canella catching the football from Shador Sanders.
- 1:11:31[SPEAKER_04]: Dude, remember the pit play where he took a 20-yard sack and then threw the ball backwards.
- 1:11:36[SPEAKER_04]: It looked like those are the type of things that they're looking at when they're making these evaluations and when they're setting up these tears.
- 1:11:42[SPEAKER_04]: So I do get frustrated when I see to a 26-inch Shador at 35 and say, well, I'd rather have Shador than to a
- 1:11:50[SPEAKER_04]: But at the same time, Tua didn't take a 20-yard sack in the wrong direction and throw the football in the other end, so, you know.
- 1:11:56[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, and I just love where the Cleveland Browns are at in this sense, like, and again, don't get it to us to Sean's worse.
- 1:12:04[SPEAKER_05]: We both made that clear we want Shudor Sanders to start.
- 1:12:07[SPEAKER_05]: But,
- 1:12:09[SPEAKER_05]: the browns like are in such a good position in terms of and it's because they traded miles Garrett that they don't have to lose right 15 games to guarantee to get a top three quarterback like they have the ammo to trade up and that allows Todd Monk and to come in here focus on winning games right away building a culture giving his attention to shit or Sanders to to see if he's the answer.
- 1:12:32[SPEAKER_05]: But they don't have to tank their way there.
- 1:12:34[SPEAKER_05]: And that's what I've been listening to to McShaze show and he him and Manch go over all the quarterbacks to build their big board and it's like there's a very minimum eight guys that could be first round talents.
- 1:12:49[SPEAKER_05]: And it's so exciting and I just love where the Cleveland Browns are at in terms of their ability to win and still go get one of those guys, whether it's, you know, whether it is Dante more if they managed to lose in one or one, but even if they are like middle of the pack, you can still trade up and get CJ car.
- 1:13:05[SPEAKER_05]: Not because Julian St.
- 1:13:06[SPEAKER_05]: Guy, but who knows what's there?
- 1:13:07[SPEAKER_04]: What I think everybody looks at this to ride and just says like you're not going to have the number one overall pick so it's dead.
- 1:13:13[SPEAKER_04]: It's nothing.
- 1:13:14[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, Josh Allen wasn't the number one overall pick.
- 1:13:17[SPEAKER_04]: How'd you like him?
- 1:13:18[SPEAKER_04]: You know, my homes wasn't the no.
- 1:13:19[SPEAKER_04]: My homes.
- 1:13:20[SPEAKER_04]: They took Mitch Tribisky.
- 1:13:22[SPEAKER_04]: I love manner Mitch.
- 1:13:23[SPEAKER_04]: You know, they genuinely took Mitchell Tribisky over Patrick Mom.
- 1:13:27[SPEAKER_04]: you don't know.
- 1:13:28[SPEAKER_04]: It is a little bit of a crap shoot.
- 1:13:29[SPEAKER_04]: What you do know is more times than not, it's those cubies that are drafted in the first round that wind up being in this Tier 1.
- 1:13:36[SPEAKER_04]: There's a reason why Stafford, Burrow, Allen, Mahomes are the only four cubies in Tier 1.
- 1:13:44[SPEAKER_04]: There's a reason why most of the cubies in Tier 2 that can win with and could occasionally win
- 1:13:54[SPEAKER_04]: You know the little bar Jackson's who who I think was the first quarterback in that tier two The last pick of the first round like those are the guys that are moving the needle in the way the NFL is set up now And it's not personally.
- 1:14:07[SPEAKER_04]: It should work like I do think a lot of his fans take all of this So personally there's nothing personal about it like we want to see the guy succeed He has done everything right since he's been here
- 1:14:19[SPEAKER_04]: he has had a smile on his face and the best attitude from literally day one.
- 1:14:26[SPEAKER_04]: And in a town like Cleveland, what always pull for people like that to succeed?
- 1:14:31[SPEAKER_04]: What always pull for the underdog, that was really castrated from the organization last year.
- 1:14:38[SPEAKER_04]: This time last year, he was throwing a ballpoint.
- 1:14:40[SPEAKER_04]: How cool of a story would it be to see him be the week one starting quarterback and then roll with that and not turn back and give up the reins?
- 1:14:49[SPEAKER_04]: But right now, he's in a competition as the 35th ranked QB in the league.
- 1:14:54[SPEAKER_04]: Against the 31st ranked QB in the league and a guy in the Sean Watson, that hasn't played good football since 2020.
- 1:15:02[SPEAKER_04]: Like that's the reality of where this room is at.
- 1:15:04[SPEAKER_04]: And then you peek ahead to the quarterback situation in next year's draft.
- 1:15:09[SPEAKER_04]: And even if it's not eight first round picks, right?
- 1:15:12[SPEAKER_05]: You know there's probably gonna be three or four.
- 1:15:14[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I'm in a minute.
- 1:15:15[SPEAKER_04]: And in a year where there's three or four
- 1:15:19[SPEAKER_04]: We've seen how that movie plays, even if Shidorah plays okay this year, right?
- 1:15:24[SPEAKER_04]: We just know how that movie plays.
- 1:15:26[SPEAKER_05]: They're not going to be eight quarterbacks the first round, but like out of a pull of guys, if you have four of them or three or four, maybe even five will be like first Shidorah singers, there were times when he played at that tier one level.
- 1:15:37[SPEAKER_05]: Like that Tennessee game, you lost, but
- 1:15:40[SPEAKER_05]: Like the offense was homin and you were in that game because I should or and then there were times where yeah, he looked like the 35th best quarterback There were times he looked worse than that and like yeah, that's a rookie season like Josh Allen is rookie year was that there were times where he looked the beat And then there were times where he looked unplayable and turn on the ball over like we've seen with shit or Sanders He's gonna have time.
- 1:15:58[SPEAKER_05]: He's gonna get the opportunity to play this year So like it's like just relax take a breath and maybe he will turn into that.
- 1:16:04[SPEAKER_05]: It's it's an uphill battle, but I guess it's still possible
- 1:16:08[SPEAKER_05]: But again, it's like these quarterbacks Nick you just rattle them off what they could be next.
- 1:16:12[SPEAKER_05]: You know, I think that's that's the hope for Browns van.
- 1:16:14[SPEAKER_05]: It's going to make college football that much more interesting.
- 1:16:16[SPEAKER_05]: Between Dante more arch manning CJ car Julian saying John material Trinidad Chambliss drew mess to make her Doma and Williams like Jay to my Ava.
- 1:16:29[SPEAKER_05]: Nico I am Aliava like those are all guys that
- 1:16:33[SPEAKER_05]: have so much talent.
- 1:16:34[SPEAKER_05]: I'm just so excited for this college football season.
- 1:16:36[SPEAKER_05]: Like, one of those dudes is gonna be a Cleveland Brown.
- 1:16:39[SPEAKER_05]: Out of those names I just said, I promise you, one of them is gonna be a Cleveland Brown next year.
- 1:16:42[SPEAKER_05]: And like that excites me.
- 1:16:44[SPEAKER_04]: I agree with that.
- 1:16:45[SPEAKER_04]: I can't debate that.
- 1:16:46[SPEAKER_04]: And I know that there are people that are gonna be upset with you Ryan for saying that.
- 1:16:51[SPEAKER_04]: I think maybe that's what we've got to work on.
- 1:16:53[SPEAKER_04]: Over the next couple of months is like, we've got to break down that upsetness.
- 1:16:57[SPEAKER_04]: We've got to get a little bit closer to accepting.
- 1:17:01[SPEAKER_04]: But that's probably just their reality and there's nothing wrong with it.
- 1:17:04[SPEAKER_04]: It's not personal against the Sean.
- 1:17:06[SPEAKER_04]: It hasn't worked here.
- 1:17:07[SPEAKER_04]: It is what it is.
- 1:17:08[SPEAKER_04]: It's been five years.
- 1:17:09[SPEAKER_04]: It's made $230 million fully guaranteed.
- 1:17:12[SPEAKER_04]: He's gonna be fine.
- 1:17:13[SPEAKER_04]: It's nothing personal against Shidorah.
- 1:17:15[SPEAKER_04]: Who honestly is going to give the Browns a bit of goodwill that they might not even deserve as an organization when he takes the field as the stored in quarterback.
- 1:17:25[SPEAKER_04]: At some point this year,
- 1:17:26[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if it's week one.
- 1:17:27[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if it's after the buy.
- 1:17:29[SPEAKER_04]: I do expect should or to get another opportunity this year.
- 1:17:33[SPEAKER_04]: And for that, that's going to be awesome for his career because that's more tape on film.
- 1:17:37[SPEAKER_04]: That's more opportunity that he could get to maybe compete against whoever the Browns draft next year.
- 1:17:43[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe next year he's in a competition against an arch man or Dante more.
- 1:17:47[SPEAKER_04]: And if he plays well in that competition he could get shipped off somewhere else and everybody gets their wish where he's out of Cleveland and in his own environment sometimes it plays that way maybe they draft him in somebody else trade lands was was the third pick of the draft and it was Brock Perti who emerged as the franchise quarterback in San Fran you know
- 1:18:07[SPEAKER_04]: never know exactly how this is going to shake.
- 1:18:10[SPEAKER_04]: I do just think like, as a collective, we need to stop making it all so personal.
- 1:18:16[SPEAKER_04]: Like, I don't think it's anything personal, and there are people that have their vendetta against them.
- 1:18:21[SPEAKER_04]: And we all know who they are.
- 1:18:23[SPEAKER_04]: There's no reason name name.
- 1:18:24[SPEAKER_04]: Everybody has people against you lately.
- 1:18:27[SPEAKER_04]: We know the people that are actively rooting for Shidorah to fail, but but again, that's the one percent I do think majority of cleanlanders want to see Shidorah send or succeed this year I think we just got to be realistic about where he's at right?
- 1:18:40[SPEAKER_04]: I'm excited.
- 1:18:40[SPEAKER_04]: I'll be out there tomorrow.
- 1:18:42[SPEAKER_04]: I'll be out there Friday.
- 1:18:44[SPEAKER_04]: It's going to be hot.
- 1:18:45[SPEAKER_04]: It's hot out there today.
- 1:18:46[SPEAKER_04]: Their installation work gets wrapped up tomorrow.
- 1:18:49[SPEAKER_04]: I'm Thursday.
- 1:18:50[SPEAKER_04]: It's the last day of installation.
- 1:18:57[SPEAKER_04]: At this quarterback competition starting Friday because I do think on Friday they all lose the excuse You know right now they got that baked in excuse for the interceptions and for the inconsistencies just that this is installation time You know, of course It wasn't a practice designed for the quarterback still look good.
- 1:19:16[SPEAKER_04]: I've seen so much of that over the last couple days.
- 1:19:18[SPEAKER_04]: Okay
- 1:19:19[SPEAKER_04]: That excuse gets dropped on Friday when installation is done and we are going to be expecting touchdowns out of this offense that is currently still trying to play catch up to a brown defense that's been really good and it should give you a reason to be optimistic about this season where they're not going to go winless.
- 1:19:36[SPEAKER_04]: They're not just going to win one or two games.
- 1:19:39[SPEAKER_04]: They're going to be competitive.
- 1:19:40[SPEAKER_04]: They're going to try to win a couple of games.
- 1:19:42[SPEAKER_04]: I do think we just got to stop making it so personal and give it a break when it comes to
- 1:19:49[SPEAKER_05]: it comes down to this he's going to get an opportunity to play and yes at the time of a way it will was the offensive line bad where the receiver dropping passes that'll happen but I I feel really good in the chance that Shinoestanders is going to get a handful of meaningful games this Cleveland Brown season and I didn't even mention print and source being the winner of sellers and that whole quarterback thing like you know how I am with
- 1:20:10[SPEAKER_05]: projecting a future class.
- 1:20:11[SPEAKER_05]: We do this every year to be the best class we've ever seen, but this one looks to be full of riches.
