- 0:39[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, my gosh.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_06]: If any of the show is like the first 10 minutes of this conversation that we've been on, it's going to be a great show.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_06]: It's going to be, yeah, absolutely.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_02]: We were on a heater before we went live here.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_06]: We not downloaded.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_02]: Thank gosh.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_02]: So we got a whole bunch of stuff to talk about tonight.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_02]: We got voice mails from you guys, got some messages from the website.
- 1:00[SPEAKER_02]: all that kind of stuff.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_02]: We've got a little bit of draft talk.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_02]: Of course, you know, we're less than two weeks away.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_02]: Now, the three of us plus Blake will be live.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_02]: April 23rd.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_02]: Make sure you guys tune in on YouTube.

- 1:13[SPEAKER_02]: But the chat, the main chat, we'll be following will be on YouTube.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_02]: We'll do you guys first round coverage.
- 1:18[SPEAKER_02]: Like we do every year.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_02]: It's a ton of fun.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_02]: It's our favorite night of the year.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you guys looking forward to it.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like I am.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, man.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_08]: I always do every year.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_08]: It's the first
- 1:30[SPEAKER_06]: The draft is fun.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_06]: The idea that Kenny is coming down into the Americas, the hangout with us for the night is always a cherry on the top.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_06]: This is absolutely something that I look forward to, at least that's guaranteed once a year.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_08]: It's the pregame that we do at the pregame for this.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_02]: So make sure you guys mark that, hang out with us while you're watching the draft on TV at home.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_02]: And then if you guys want to hang out in our dog pack community, just head over to join the dogs.com, sign up on the Patreon, sync up with the Discord, check it out, and it's a great way to support the show.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_02]: You get to have a little bit more interaction with me, Justin, Kenny, Blake, everybody plus the whole community, die hard Browns fans from around the world.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_02]: So if you're looking for a great online, basically it's an online support group.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_02]: for Browns fans because that's what we need right now.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_02]: We need these therapy sessions, we need support, we need help, we need to know that there's other people who are miserable like we are half the time, most of the time.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_02]: So that's join the dogs dot com.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_02]: So go check that out.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_02]: All right, so I think I think the best way to do this tonight, if I'm going to go off my half ass outline that I put together here before the show, let's kick it off of the voicemail and of course it's going to be Brad Moneymaker.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_10]: That's Friday, Friday, you gotta get it down on Friday.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_10]: I'm finally looking forward to the week and week and party and party and yeah!
- 2:55[SPEAKER_10]: What's going on guys?
- 2:57[SPEAKER_10]: It's Brad, what do you make her?
- 3:00[SPEAKER_10]: So, about that Travis Hunter thing, huh?
- 3:03[SPEAKER_10]: Well, as far as us winning the trade, I would like to see how it does this season to see if we really won the trade, but as a two-way player, we definitely won that trade at least.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_10]: And the guy we picked stayed healthy all year I think.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_10]: I don't think he missed a game or was a half game maybe.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_10]: I don't know.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_10]: And I guess what?
- 3:26[SPEAKER_10]: We're less than two weeks away from the draft.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_10]: And guess what?
- 3:30[SPEAKER_10]: I'm going to be there.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_10]: I'm part of Nate and whoever else is coming.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_10]: And we're going to have a good time.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_10]: And I'm stoked for the draft.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_10]: I can't wait.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_10]: I just can't wait to see what bait and switch that inner berry does to me.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_10]: Let's go, Browns!
- 3:45[SPEAKER_10]: Woohoo!
- 3:46[SPEAKER_06]: excellent voicemail.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_06]: Excellent song for the weekend.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'll get the get the weekend start the right way with Mr. Brown money maker.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he's right.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_02]: So like if you're in the dog pack and you know you're thinking about going to the draft or just going to hang out in Pittsburgh while the party's going on over there.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_02]: Thursday Friday, whatever, even Saturday.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_02]: It's a great, I mean, great place to link up with people that you know are going to be there.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_02]: So he brought up.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_02]: This Travis Hunter thing that came out the other day.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_02]: So the J-Wires, was it the J-Wires that announced it or was it just kind of being broken report by?
- 4:18[SPEAKER_02]: I just got us all as a report.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_02]: Be report.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_02]: Either way, J-Wires intend to make Travis Hunter now a full-time cornerback with some packages and plays and you know, sprinkled in things on offense at receiver.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_02]: But it really takes away the,
- 4:36[SPEAKER_02]: everything that went around Travis Hunter in the draft process last year.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_02]: Why he was the number two pick, why the Browns were able to collect so much draft capital for him was this is a once in a lifetime generational prospect.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_02]: He's a unicorn, they kept going in the autonomy of bait or a football, you know, he can play full-time receiver on offense and you can go play full-time cornerback on defense and he did that very well in college for Colorado.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_02]: Big difference between college and the NFL, just like it's a big difference between high school and college.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_02]: You don't see a lot of people in college playing both ways like that and doing it at a high level.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_02]: So there's a lot of doubt whether or not he could do it in the NFL and his rookie season didn't go great.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_02]: He obviously had the injury and ended on IR I believe in all that stuff.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_02]: But now they made the announcement.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_02]: He is now a full-time one way player.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_02]: So what do you guys thought's on this information, this news about Trapsonor?
- 5:30[SPEAKER_06]: I'll take it real quick, Kenny, at the time, man, devastation on Traffnite.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_06]: It was excellent to see the hall back.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_06]: And we did, it was a nice package back that the Browns got, we were able to get quench on Jenkins.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_06]: So the thing that's very interesting about this for me is,
- 5:50[SPEAKER_06]: That was kind of a loaded room last year, you know, as far as a wide receiver room in Jacksonville.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_06]: And they traded mid-season, it gets your Kobe Myers.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_06]: So they even added more depth into the room that was already kind of, you know, you would think maybe BTJ or one of those guys was getting traded out.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_06]: But, you know, just as far as what the Browns were able to receive as compensation for this trade and then what actually happened was Travis Hunter.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_06]: pretty disappointing rookie season.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_06]: We're talking 200 and like what 90 yards.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_06]: I think one or two touchdowns, you have an LCL injury that you know happens to a much as unfortunate, but as far as like this looks like an absolute.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_06]: This is an ultimate Cleveland thing to happen except it hasn't happened to us this time.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_06]: This is like a reverse Cleveland move right here with Jacksonville.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_06]: I like Travis Hunter.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_06]: I think he still can have a very nice career.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, as far as defensively, and if they knew Jacksonville, obviously, that they were coming up to to take a full-time quarterback, probably not getting that kind of return.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_06]: I think Andrew Barry talked his way into a huge hole.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I mean, I think with Travis Hunter, I think we were all under, I think it was consensus between the four of us.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_08]: We didn't think he would last playing both ways.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_08]: Ultimately, I thought where our mindset was, we wanted weapons, weapons, weapons, we were thinking the other end.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_08]: We wanted receiver out of that guy, right?
- 7:23[SPEAKER_08]: And if you got it, like, you know, a couple like third-down patches, is that.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_08]: you know, specialist on defense, sure, whatever, you know, but we thought it would be the other way.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_08]: But as far as like right now, like the Browns have basically got three players.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_08]: They've got way more reps.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_08]: They've got way more production.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_08]: They've got way more impact.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_08]: So yeah, we are winning right now.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_08]: And then we got the wild card.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_08]: We get another draft this year.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_08]: That's going to be freaking awesome, man.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_08]: So I will just summarize it.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_08]: I guess
- 7:54[SPEAKER_08]: We're winning right now, we multiply their picks, we got production, and I hope we get another major contributor.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_08]: Will it be kind of even if he goes like all pro hall of fame and the other guys are just contributors?
- 8:09[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, whatever, you know, but we needed players, and that's what we got, so I'm happy and I think we won.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_02]: That is crazy because it was kind of like a quarterback type of trade, you know, where you're you're moving back three spots, you're still in the top five and you get all those picks, a future first and their second round pick last year.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_02]: Like it was crazy and you know, for a non-corder back.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_02]: And I understand, and I think Andrew Barry did do.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_02]: I got to give him flowers for that.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_02]: How they got it out in the media about how just infatuated they were with this kid.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_02]: They was blown away and he can do everything and all this stuff.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_02]: And not taking anything away from Travis Hunter, the talent.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_02]: But the reality of the situation, like you said, Kenny, we all were like, I think we should just use them as receiver.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_02]: Like that's what we wanted them for.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_08]: 100%.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_02]: Not playing both ways all the time, which we just did not think was feasible.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_06]: And that's a mention, Kenny, you nailed it with the drapic, but also on top of that, you're getting Quinshawn Juddkins who, as a Browns fan, and even this is a fan of the game, we gotta believe that he could be a really, really nice talent.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_06]: You know, we're saying that as Browns fans, that we're excited about this kid's future, you know what I mean?
- 9:23[SPEAKER_06]: So the upsides there, we saw flashes, build around these young players, you know,
- 9:28[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not sure what we're going to get next year, as far as our season, but you know, part of me, every year is, hey, we're super bored, but obviously is a Browns fan, but, you know, like, at least that they we were able to come away from that draft, which we all really like now, and just huge still, and that was part of it.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_06]: That trade was a huge part of what we were able to do, and even into this year.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_08]: trading down and getting junkins was like I know it was big on joshanice priority list to get that guy We talked him up big time.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_08]: I know you did think Blake since he's not on here.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_08]: We can pick on him He wanted Henderson.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_06]: I did too.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_08]: I want to get it right.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I'm not saying like that was a bad pick either Don't get me wrong.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_08]: I just we got we got junkins now.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_08]: He's awesome.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_02]: So let's have it
- 10:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I see like Colton shout out here in the chat says, Teppic Millenwood have been nice at five though.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_02]: Ashton Jente.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, yes.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, remember how lame it was though with Tepp, the biggest thing within the biggest scare was that he wasn't into watching video and he wasn't football wasn't his priority.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_08]: Well, that was a big load of crap.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, a lot of that stuff comes out too.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_02]: What you're hearing at this year, and we can talk about some of that as we get into the draft discussion here in a little bit, but you start to see this smoke come out and teams are trying to put narratives out there to push guys down the board.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_02]: They want the players.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_02]: And do I like Mason Graham?
- 10:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, did I want to see more out of Mason Graham for a top five pick right off the bat?
- 10:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but I'm also an impatient Browns fan.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just sure.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_02]: I want instant gratification out of the my top five pick.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_02]: I really do think having technically feeling would have been nice.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_02]: Looking at our wide receiver room now, which is obviously why we're in the situation.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_02]: We are everybody fighting online about who we should take here at six.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_02]: So we kind of all say in pretty much a win on this period.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, obviously, they got to hit the picks.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_02]: You got to hit on the picks.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_02]: We think Mason Graham's a hit.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_02]: We think Quenchon Judd can's based on what we saw last year.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to be a hit.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully the injury doesn't slow them up too much this year and you can get back to form.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't really put, I guess we should even maybe just go over what the
- 11:41[SPEAKER_02]: Trade was, so we got picked five.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_02]: So Mason Grant picked 36, Quenchon Juggins.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_02]: And then I forget which pick it was in the fourth round, but we took Dylan, Samson, and we ended up moving back in the fourth, I think they moved up in the fourth and took Bashal Tut in the running track.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_02]: And then they took Rayon Lane, Rayon Lane, the safety, I think, and we ended up getting the first round pick this year, which is now picked 24.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I mean, we got guys that had like Graham had 49 tackles and he had a half sack.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_08]: Quint John Jenkins, 827 yards, 7 touchdowns, he was our RB1, Dylan was an all-purpose threat.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_08]: He had 600 totally yards, 2 touchdowns.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_08]: So he had that value as a returner as well.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_02]: All right, well, let's move on here next voice mail.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_02]: We'll die, this one's from Justin.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_09]: Let's all talk podcasts.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_09]: Just friendly Browns fan out here in New Jersey, chiming in again, getting excited for the draft man, excited to be in a lead member for you guys.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_09]: It took everyone's great in the community.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_09]: Like you said before, all us Browns fans are smart.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_09]: We know when we need to pay, let's keep getting our word out there.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_09]: Somebody smart might hear it, who knows, probably not.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_09]: We all know the deal, I don't got any hope.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_09]: Just wonder if I want to get right to it.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_09]: What are your thoughts on taking seven wider severs with our first seven pick?
- 13:04[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, and then just set it here.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_09]: Take makeup's great.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_09]: Let's go browse.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_09]: Woo!
- 13:10[SPEAKER_06]: Damn.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_06]: Love the energy.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_08]: Love the energy.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, I just said let's take seven receivers just before we got on here.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_08]: Just before we got on here.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_02]: You same.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_02]: You got the tape make us great.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think we all kind of have the same mindset.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_05]: This next one's from Lea dog podcast.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_05]: It is Lea McCoin and from Calgary of Burda, Canada.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_05]: And I have an interesting draft date scenario to propose to you guys.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_05]: So.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_05]: It can be a would you rather question?
- 13:41[SPEAKER_05]: Would you rather take carnal tape at six or trade down with, for example, the cowboys or any of those teams in that 10 to 12 range and get decent compensation and draft McIe lemon after trading down?
- 13:58[SPEAKER_05]: Let me know what you guys think.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_05]: Go dogs.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_02]: So let me real quick, just lay it out.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_02]: So a lot of what we're seeing this rumored, trade-down partner with the Cowboys.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_02]: And I think I said this on the last episode, there's fire with this smoke with the Cowboys, because they've been linked to having these guys with the Cardinals all the way up at three, trying to move up there to get an edged rusher, so whether it's our VL Reaster David Bailey.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_02]: If one of those guys, or maybe Ruben Bane, one of those three will likely, maybe even two of them, will be on the board when we pick it six.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_02]: So, the cowboys make sense.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_02]: We have been linked to them as the trade back to go to 12, and the trade that I keep seeing floated out there is, we give them 6 and 39, and we get 12 and 20.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_02]: So, let's say that was the trade.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_02]: That was the trade.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_02]: We give 6 and 39, and we get back 12 and 20.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_02]: Would you guys pass on tape, move back to 12, and take McIleman for that hole?
- 15:00[SPEAKER_02]: This episode is sponsored by Butcher Box for Pets.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_02]: Brown's fans Butcher Box for Pets has a deal you can not pass up for your four-legged family members.

- 15:31[SPEAKER_02]: The most important dogs in our lives are, well, our dogs, and they're not just pets, like I said, they're part of the family.

- 16:49[SPEAKER_08]: I would say I would say I would.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_08]: I would, because we need players, okay?
- 16:55[SPEAKER_08]: We need players really bad on offense, but there are holes on the defense as well.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_08]: Starter's look okay, then the back end between the starters and the back end is not good.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_08]: So we're gonna have to develop some guys.
- 17:08[SPEAKER_08]: I would say yes, like I really wanna take the six, okay?
- 17:12[SPEAKER_08]: I'm just tired of trading back at being another year, but it depends on the value.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_08]: If you're saying I can get my Kylemon,
- 17:20[SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to do that, right, then I'm taking another offensive lineman.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_08]: I probably, depending if we sign a veteran, I would get Caden Proctor, or I might get Blake Miller.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_08]: And then I'd probably get Peter Woods because I'm not really happy with my tackle.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_08]: Are my defensive tackle situation right now?
- 17:37[SPEAKER_08]: And then I would get three people that are going to be serviceable starters.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_08]: And hopefully get some of them we'll get a couple of all pros out of them.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_06]: I want to say take the value right, trade back, then you get what three, three picks in the top twenty five basically and we have needs it's very we talk about it every week like it's a dead horse we're beating when he needs on this team we need needs on this team.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_06]: I'm kind of in a position right now with this team where.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_06]: As far as the owing into this year, I say you just take the best players that you can right now.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_06]: And for me, we harden missing a ride receiver badly, badly.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_06]: If he is there at six, I would like us to turn that card in.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_06]: At least have a guy that when you, we've talked about it at length, just super dependable, pro's pro.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_06]: You watch his Ohio
- 18:33[SPEAKER_06]: You you have to fall in love with it now like my guy lemon's a dog.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_06]: We we like my guy lemon a lot There's a chance my guy lemon doesn't get the 12 you know what I mean?
- 18:42[SPEAKER_06]: There's there's serious There's other teams are not gonna just be like all hey, I guess we'll just not take that guy Kansas City could be a team like to take him at nine you know what I mean and it would make sense
- 18:56[SPEAKER_06]: I would say just get your, get your guy and card, I'll take, obviously, when you come back at 24, you know, you have to address another need, whether it's offensive line or just like Kenny said, the depth on the deck on the defense is really bad.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_06]: Once you get past elite starters, it's stuff.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_02]: So this, this was a good one because I'm, I'm really torn.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_02]: I'm with you like,
- 19:21[SPEAKER_02]: I want to stay at six and just I want to take Cardinal tape.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I want to do.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I have to tell you, I'm currently two season hasn't changed.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_02]: I want Cardinal tape.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_02]: I want that top dog receiver and I believe he can be that.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_02]: If you don't think he can be a top receiver on your team, a wide receiver, one in the NFL, then it makes sense that you wouldn't want him.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_02]: Like I understand that.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_02]: I believe he can be I want him and like you said, Justin.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_02]: no guarantee that Mackay Lehmann is there at 12 like I understand this would you rather is assuming that he is available 12 but if you make that trade from 6 to 12 you're risking it you are rolling the dice because you're talking about Washington right after you you got the Saints and then you've got the chiefs like you said and then the dolphin's sitting there at 11 that's four teams before you're on the clock.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_02]: that have been linked to wider seabers have been hosting wider seabers have been interviewing these guys and need a wider seaber in a bad way.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_02]: So you are rolling the dice that you're not going to get that guy now if the Browns are like our top guys, Jordan Tyson, okay, well then maybe it's probably the best spot to go to because even if two guys go, you should still be the guy you want, yeah, so.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_02]: So it just for me in the top 25 of this class, it's just it's tough because once you get past, say you have to use 12 on the wide receiver, because That's scenario right there.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_02]: Tate and lemon already both gone.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yep, well shoot.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_02]: If we want one of those top three, we have to take time.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_02]: We have to take him now.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_02]: Well, then what are you doing at, you know, 20 and 24 if you were going to try to get Monroe Freeling or Caden Proctor there at 12, they're probably going to be gone by a time going on 20 definitely 24 most likely.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_06]: What are you calling into another team to trade up to take the guy when it's just all garbage anyway, just take your guy up anyway, take your stinking guy at six.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_06]: Put some foundational points out on this team.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_06]: It's been a long time.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, we had a great draft last year and we think a lot of these guys are gonna be important pieces moving forward.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_06]: But that old league of guys are leaving.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_06]: All the guys that we used to love, they are long gone.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_06]: This is a new era of Browns.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_06]: We've got to start planning some bikes and getting some talent in here, especially in that room.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_06]: I don't understand why we'd even gamble it.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_06]: We gambled it last year.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_06]: How to work out for us serious.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_06]: We draft anybody.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_06]: I know how to work out terrible.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_06]: We talked about and then the best part was it wasn't even the worst need at the time.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_06]: Some of that got fixed.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean, but it's a lot.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_06]: It's a lot.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_06]: Take a guy that you can trust.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, a tate man like he is a guy that can play all the receiver positions.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_08]: I think Munkin can expose a lot of stuff.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_08]: His elite traits of separation.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_08]: That would be unreal for this offense.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_08]: It'd be great.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_08]: Hey, here's an idea.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_08]: Let's take a receiver to develop a quarterback.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_08]: That'd be awesome, you know, we thrown enough at the offensive line and there still can't be enough thrown there.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_08]: But like, make those guys work for something for a guy that can get open.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_08]: Cause I know one thing on this team right now, we got our three top guys, the guys have played the most snaps, they were all rated under 60 in PFF.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_08]: That's terrible.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_08]: That's what everybody's back end is.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it just, I could keep thinking about Shador Sanders last year and just the difference in his final statistical box line would look like if he had a receiver like Cardinal Tate.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know, somebody who could separate and get open down field.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_02]: What does should or like to do?
- 22:58[SPEAKER_02]: Like, so throw the ball down field manually.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_02]: Like some make plays and this is a guy that can do that.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_02]: He'll make his contestant catches home.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_02]: Make his sideline grabs going out of bounds with the toe drags.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_02]: He's not going to drop the ball.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_02]: He's not going to hand the ball to a defensive back in the end zone for what should have been a touchdown and there's now an interception back to the 20.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_02]: Like that's not going to happen with Cardinal Tate.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_02]: So,
- 23:22[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, but I do go with Cardinal Tate like where do you think he would go above the Browns pick four or five four or five?
- 23:34[SPEAKER_06]: or somebody comes up because Tennessee obviously could use them.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_06]: They've they've signed Wanda Robinson, but that's not like he's nice.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_06]: Don't even wrong.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_06]: He's he's nice, but they are like very devoid of talent.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_06]: They're relying on Calvin Ridley at 32, 33 years old.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_06]: They need to get young.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_06]: And then New York, I mean, Mike, can you imagine?
- 23:54[SPEAKER_08]: Malik neighbors, Hayton's Titans fans don't want, actually Titans fans don't want.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_08]: And which is what happened.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_08]: I'm not saying the coaches don't.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_08]: They don't, they think he's Corey Davis.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_08]: I just heard that on the radio, right?
- 24:08[SPEAKER_08]: Now, Corey Davis played different ways.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_08]: You know, he played in the Mac and playing in a big school, the vision, right?
- 24:15[SPEAKER_08]: And like, I can, I guess I can see it a bit, but, you know, Davis was a bit bigger, but he just doesn't have the separation that T8 has then as far as the giants
- 24:29[SPEAKER_08]: if if love is there, they're taking them, right?
- 24:33[SPEAKER_08]: And then they need line help.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know about defense for them, not take sorry.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_08]: Downs may be big for them, you know, as well.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_08]: So we're sunny styles.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_08]: I've seen that.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_08]: sunny styles a lot.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_08]: You've got to look at two like who are the biggest guys that have the potential to make the Hall of Fame.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_08]: Those are the guys that everybody should be picking.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_08]: I just like in my research like Bryce, Bryce love, Jeremiah love, I meant to say is he's a number two and like everybody's bored.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, Todd make sure he says he's like number two.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_08]: There's a couple
- 25:09[SPEAKER_08]: So, if he's number two, let's say he goes number two, we know Fernando Mendoza's going one, and then it seems like everybody loves Bailey, he's maybe the only guy that might drop, but he's a sack machine, you know, and edges get paid, right?
- 25:26[SPEAKER_08]: They get paid because they affect the quarterback.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_08]: So, if those guys are the top three, then the other guys that I've heard that are the potential
- 25:39[SPEAKER_08]: who else they're solid Ohio state guys down down and so we already got them so that it that's basically like Tate is like it looks like it's he's coming to us or am I just talking myself into this?
- 25:54[SPEAKER_06]: I've heard different stuff.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_06]: Josh, I'm, me and Josh are terrible about fantasy football like 365 year.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_06]: So if I know Josh, like I do, he is very bought in on Jeremiah Love is getting like a generational talent, explosive 101 in fantasy football type guy.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yep, I just made that.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_06]: Depending on landing position and then, hmm.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_06]: Caleb Downs keeps getting talked about his a blue chip like ultra high.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_06]: He could be like like you said those could be the top two as far as down the road in the draft The best I So for me Jeremiah love I think it'd be very
- 26:33[SPEAKER_06]: It would be like a thing that we'd be like that's exciting, but we'd also look back and go.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_06]: So we took four running backs, I guess three running backs in the last two years, at least.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_06]: We've seen how that works when we just throw a bunch of people at a room and hope it works itself out.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_06]: Downs I think is interesting though, because there's kind of, I mean, it's not, I
- 26:56[SPEAKER_06]: not an alternate, but it could be, you know, some of them's with Hickman, you have injuries, you're thin, you're very, very thin, and on a unit, on a complete unit where everybody is like crowning them a top five, and you're,
- 27:12[SPEAKER_06]: an injury away from being just very, very below average and at trust me, I hate to talk like that because you know, every year it's, hey, we're going to go and win it all, but we've seen that.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_06]: We've seen that happen with the linebacker position.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_06]: We've seen that happen with the offensive line.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_06]: We've seen that happen with even running back, you know, recently.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_06]: Do you line, you know, look what happened?
- 27:30[SPEAKER_02]: Do you line, yeah, I'm going to go on to got hurt.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, my God.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_06]: You know, so,
- 27:35[SPEAKER_06]: It's not as just locked up in just three, you know, go ahead and rock that in for 2026 that we're good for so many wins with this great defense.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_06]: You know, it could be a liability halfway through the year.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_08]: And the other guy I forgot with potential Hall of Fame based on Pont MacShay was sunny styles.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_08]: We've just mentioned him, but he also really likes the guard out of Penn State.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_08]: Now he wouldn't pick him up past 10 like he's talking where he's going to go 20, but he has Hall of Fame ability.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that'd be interesting like if we made that trade, you know, and we went back to and we had 12 and 20.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_02]: If we, I still don't know how to say his name.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_02]: If we took Ioni or however you say it, the guard from Penn State, I don't want to rather do that than reach on a tackle.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_02]: because you know you're getting a locked and loaded day one beast on your offensive line.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_02]: And not that there aren't those kind of players with the tackles.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_02]: I just think they're a little bit more questionable this year.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_02]: There's no, they need development time, man.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, that's all it is.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_06]: and even like the elite guys like Joel, you know what I mean like everybody was like this dude is gonna be an absolute savage and I'm not saying he isn't but so far you know injuries derailed what he had going on so it's not always just a locked in hey this guy can be your set left tackle for 10 years or you know whatever like you're saying but
- 29:01[SPEAKER_06]: And we have a lot of needs and are we willing to say Duan Jones, hey, left tackle, can you can you stay up for, you know, 17 games or right tackle?
- 29:13[SPEAKER_06]: No, you know,
- 29:15[SPEAKER_06]: So it's like it'll probably be addressed that.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_08]: That's funny.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_08]: It's funny you bring up Joanne Jones because Joanne Jones to me seems like Kate and Proctor.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_08]: Like it's too heavy set guys that I don't know if I don't think Proctor's going to have the injury history, but there might be some sitting that he needs to get accustomed to pat like past rushing in the NFL.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_08]: So it.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_08]: People really want him and hear the Browns say, hey, we got an interest in that six.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_08]: I'm like, like, trading four quarters for a dollar here.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_08]: Like, what are you doing?
- 29:44[SPEAKER_08]: You know?
- 29:44[SPEAKER_08]: So we'll see what happens.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_08]: But I thought that was an interesting that you brought, you want up as well.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_06]: That could be just Brown smoke too.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean?
- 29:52[SPEAKER_06]: Like that could be everybody talking stuff up.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_06]: Hey, you know, Monroe Freeling, Caden Proctor, all these names that we're just getting randomly thrown into the media over the last two weeks that the Browns are linked to.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_06]: And I'm like, at six,
- 30:05[SPEAKER_02]: I saw two different reports on the same day that the Browns are very much the favorite to take Carnotate if he's there at six and in the same like as I'm scrolling a couple post later it says the Browns did not like your Carnotate's testing numbers.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so we have no idea what's going on and I know that I wish they wanted to be which aligns perfectly exactly like so we're completely in the same position as we always are as a fan base yes, and I will say to Kenny's point earlier about Titans fans not wanting him because they're afraid of like the core Davis I don't and maybe I'm wrong about this but I feel like the Tennessee Titans don't draft a lot of receivers in the first round so they don't have a whole lot of experience with success in taking a guy in the first round core Davis obviously did not work out for them.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah
- 30:53[SPEAKER_02]: Well, neither do we, and everybody's like, oh, well, remember we took Corey Coleman.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because we haven't taken another white or see for the first round since then.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_02]: That's why we all remember Corey Coleman.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_02]: We don't invest at the position.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_02]: We don't take it seriously.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_02]: And then every year we're here watching the games on Sunday's gone manner.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_02]: We see for suck.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_06]: Corey, they do.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_06]: Where did Tennessee take AJ Brown?
- 31:13[SPEAKER_06]: Was that second round?
- 31:15[SPEAKER_06]: Second round.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_06]: I was going to say, because I used to argue with Blake all the time who was a better receiver and he used to tell me Corey Davis, which at the time he was right.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, okay.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_02]: Gaze is a lemon.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_02]: Birch.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_02]: Well, okay.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_02]: Did you have a little bit of PTSD from him?
- 31:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_02]: That is fair.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, Jan.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_02]: They want a bit of love.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_08]: They want just a lot of love.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_08]: Man, that's what they want.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, and you honestly, I know a lot of people in Brown's nation don't want another running back.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_02]: Whoever gets Jeremiah loves going to have a break player, and it's going to be fun to watch that team when they're on offense.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_02]: Especially for fantasy people, like wait till you see Jeremiah love play.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_08]: His highlights are unreal.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_08]: Yep.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, actually, we got a little bit of tape discourse coming up here, but first I need to find we're going to take quick break, and then we will be right back.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_02]: This episode is partnered with Kaoshi.

- 32:24[SPEAKER_02]: With Kaoshi the objective is either yes or no.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_02]: Will Shidorah Sanders be the Browns week one starting quarterback?
- 32:31[SPEAKER_02]: Will Fernando Mendoza be the first overall pick in the draft?
- 32:34[SPEAKER_02]: Will the Browns make their pick at six or will they trade out of that spot?
- 32:37[SPEAKER_02]: And in other sports, will the calves win the NBA Finals?

- 33:51[SPEAKER_02]: So again, if you guys wanna leave voicemails, go to thedogspodcast.com, or you can just type up message in the little box there and come straight to our email, and we can read it on the show.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_02]: So Eric says, I'm writing because I cannot take another fan crying to draft Carnell Tate.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_02]: So obviously not a Tate fan.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_02]: It says I love the kid, but you can find receivers any year.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_02]: not a chase, but adequate pros and free agency or young rookies to get through a season.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_02]: Not trying to just get through a season.
- 34:20[SPEAKER_02]: But anyway, he says try finding a good left tackle.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_02]: Good ones don't exist.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_02]: Good teams don't let them go, or they are at the end of a long career, and you'll get a fraction of what they once were.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_02]: Look through draft history and see who Andy redress in the first round.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_02]: Big fatties, he calls him.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_02]: Jim Johnson created the dynasty in Dallas starting with drafting the big fatties.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_02]: Who do the Steelers draft?
- 34:40[SPEAKER_02]: Large men.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_02]: Big fatties.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_02]: If you want to see if Sanders can lead the team, give him a line, draft fattie at six and at 24.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_02]: If they go after Decker after the draft, that's a short term fix.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_02]: Fix the line.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_02]: You fix the offensive.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_02]: They take love at six and a fattie at 24.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_02]: I could live with that.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_02]: If they grab Decker, a killer running game would help Sanders too.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_02]: And he also says in all caps, cut tillmen.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I, I understand where he's coming from.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_06]: I, the thing with the free agency wide receivers is there's two aspects of it.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_06]: We can't afford them for a few years, and they're not coming to Cleveland.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I mean, if you have LeBron James, who is the advocate for Ohio saying, I don't even really like going back to Ohio, what do you think?
- 35:26[SPEAKER_06]: Why, you know, like, devalves, alpha, yversever ones are thinking about coming to Cleveland as far as with what we're working with currently.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_06]: You know what, I mean, it's, it's, it's not a sexy place to come and play right now.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe three years from now when there's a, you know, multi-billion dollar dome out there in Brooke Park, maybe he comes more appealing, but right now,
- 35:47[SPEAKER_06]: I think the only way that you acquire a talent like that is through the draft.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_06]: Nobody's coming free agency wise, not without overpaying by a ton.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_02]: No, draft or trade.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that's, and I say this all the time, that's how you get elite, the top-wide receiver ones in the NFL.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_02]: Even the wide receiver too, like, you know, you got T-Higgins, who's a wide receiver too, technically on his team, but could be a wide receiver.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_02]: Oh yeah.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_02]: If he was on a team by himself without Jamar Chase,
- 36:12[SPEAKER_02]: you can't get him in free agency you know you got it you got a trait for these guys or you just have to draft them because the free agency wider severs you're overpaying like look what the Patriots had to overpay to get Romeo dobs yeah like he's not a wider sever one and I mean this happens I mean Kenny Golade remember that yeah went to New York okay
- 36:32[SPEAKER_06]: And recent memories, the way we've been successful and there's not a lot of it, but I think Amari Cooper, you know what I mean?
- 36:39[SPEAKER_06]: I think it guys that we were able to kind of get were, you know, they had kind of worn out their welcome at certain places and then we were able to bring them in for a fifth, or, you know, something along those lines, you're right.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_06]: So I know, I would you know, yeah, try to a Jerry Judy, but it's, you know, Amari Cooper's the only one and recent memory I'm like, man.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_08]: going to be a tough year though to find a left tackle to be honest with you like he has a lot of truths to what he's saying and I get what you mean like build your offensive line and then your weapons will come uh that being said I mean I think I've said it numerous times now I think everybody's either like a right tackle or they're a guard and uh
- 37:16[SPEAKER_08]: I don't think you're going to find that this year, so I don't know how willing I'm wanting to put a first round draft pick into anybody, especially like I like feeling.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_08]: I like his high-high ceiling and his athletic nature, but I mean, he's got to sit.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_08]: He's only started one year and that's usually like a recipe for disaster.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_08]: So the way that you got to do it is you got to do a pipeline and you got to have guys keep coming in and he knows who does it really well.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_08]: You know, Barry's favorite, the Philadelphia Eagles man, they get draft picks, they get they take chances on guys, but they make it work.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_08]: Do they get size?
- 37:50[SPEAKER_08]: Hell yeah, they do, man, but they get guys that are technicians too.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_08]: You got to just put a team together.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_08]: And I think the most important part that you're missing is that they got George Warhop, and he's the guy that figures it out.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_08]: Because they like the Ravens had some good players on their line, you know.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_08]: But they had some guys too that weren't that great and they just made it work.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_08]: So, I can see what you mean, but I'm not going to compare it to the Cowboys, I'm not going to compare it to the Steelers of Old because that is long time ago and it hasn't worked out.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_08]: But if you want to get into a conversation about kind of what the Eagles do or what you're saying about, I think you said something about Andy Reed too, they make, they make guys work.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_08]: They make the offensive line cohesive, not necessarily all just guys that are 350 pounds.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_08]: But if I got to pick a guy right now, if I'm picking a guy for you, I'm not taking them in the first round.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_08]: I'd rather just start Jones and take Mark how Bell and develop him and develop that instead of making my first round guy sit, if I'd taken two first rounders this year, man, they're playing and they're playing from the get-go.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to make sure they're successful and I don't feel confident about that with the left tackle position this year in this draft.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's fair and that's been the knock on this one of the knocks on this class.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_02]: This whole time is the tackle the high at the top level tackles in this class don't really exist.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I think there's some great linemen hidden in this class.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, there are really good linemen, you know, you're absolutely right.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_02]: But there's not those locked and loaded like go get this left tackle is that he's going to be a starter from day one, a lot of question marks.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, where these guys are going to play online, you know, can they do this?
- 39:30[SPEAKER_06]: Can they do that?
- 39:31[SPEAKER_06]: It's the the other big thing, too, with those teams that we're talking about Philadelphia, Kansas City.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_06]: They do something that we don't.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_06]: They win.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_06]: They go back there.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_06]: They have a winning culture.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_06]: And you know what I mean?
- 39:43[SPEAKER_06]: It's a attractive place to come because they've established, you know, they have foundational players.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_06]: They have a Hall of Fame quarterback basically.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_06]: They have a Hall of Fame, you know, tight end.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_06]: They have a,
- 39:54[SPEAKER_06]: Really, really nice, you know, defense for the most part.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_06]: They have pieces in place.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_06]: Philly is loaded all over the place.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_06]: Guys salivate to go there and they pay them as well.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_06]: They take care of them.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know, those, those teams like that, they obviously, they're not going to be a playoff team every single year.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_02]: There's going to be down years.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_02]: But the down years don't lead to complete down cycles and total rebuilds.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_02]: Like it does for the Browns every time.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, we're in a window where we can make the playoffs a couple of years.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_02]: Eh, nose dive right into the turf and it's like now we just got a rebuild.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_02]: Like why these other teams get to just re-tool for a year or two and they're right back to being great.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_02]: And we got to start from scratch every damn time.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_02]: But.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_02]: We'll move on here.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_02]: We've got a boy from Colton.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_02]: And I think this will be a fun one.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_07]: Hey, dark fact.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_07]: What's going on?
- 40:46[SPEAKER_07]: It's Colton coming from Blomer Ohio.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_07]: Hey, I'm a huge fan of Todd McShay show.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_07]: And they have this really cool segment that I thought I would maybe ask a question to you guys on.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_07]: And it goes kind of like, you know, don't be surprised if.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_07]: Um, so I want to hear your take on something that might come as a surprise to us when we walk away on draft night saying don't be surprised if from night one.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_07]: So looking forward to hearing what you guys got to say, uh, really going for the live podcast tonight too.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_07]: So talk to you guys soon.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_02]: So what do you guys think?
- 41:21[SPEAKER_02]: I don't say we're sitting there in the studio doing the live stream, doing the coverage.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_02]: And we'll do, we'll do like a 15, 20 minute pregame warmup on YouTube before everything really kicks off at 8 o'clock and we're probably going to do something like that.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_02]: Like, don't be surprised if tonight such and such apps haven't happened.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_02]: So, Kenny, what do you think?
- 41:42[SPEAKER_02]: Don't be surprised if what?
- 41:43[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I already spilled the beans on the last episode with my call in there as Peter Woods.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_08]: I think we're going to draft them.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_08]: I think he correct me if I'm wrong, but when we were going in the 20, 25 college season, he was projected as the potential number one pick in this draft, okay?
- 42:04[SPEAKER_08]: And I think with his first step,
- 42:06[SPEAKER_08]: now that didn't materialize, but I think that's something that Andrew Barry is not going to be able to pass up those quick steps like Derek Thomas and some other guys that have that you just you can't teach it and I know Daniel Jeremiah says you can't pass on freakish talent or freakish ability.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_08]: That's something that that guy possesses.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_08]: He is misplaced in the type of defense
- 42:33[SPEAKER_08]: He would be better suited for something along what we do.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_08]: So I can see that happening, especially it just hasn't materialized for my call junior yet.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_08]: And you might be covering some stuff up.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_08]: I'd like to draft defensive tackles.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_06]: That's nice.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_06]: I, so basically what I would say, and I'm going with you, Kenny, don't be surprised on draft night.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I know that for years now, we've pounded the table.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_06]: I could remember all the way back to us thinking we're definitely taking save flowers here and then Greg knew some goes off the board.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean?
- 43:16[SPEAKER_06]: I would not be surprised if the Browns took a defensive player.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_06]: But as the team sits right now, realistically, I don't think we're in a window to be successful, like just
- 43:29[SPEAKER_06]: being, but as I can't call in it, what it is, I think that we are some pieces away still.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_06]: And obviously, if we nail this draft, we're a lot closer, right?
- 43:38[SPEAKER_06]: But I think big picture, when you look at the depth chart and everything, do you have to be,
- 43:45[SPEAKER_06]: aware that there's potential that this could not be a good year again.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_06]: You know, we all are on board with that.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_06]: Um, we obviously are blind optimist and we hope for the best and you know, can we can we get 10 wins somehow with the easiest schedule in the league?
- 43:59[SPEAKER_06]: But,
- 44:00[SPEAKER_06]: Take your best talent.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_06]: If you can get talent and they're going to be, you know, players that you're locked in on for the next three, four years, do it.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_08]: Well, it gets back to what we were saying, though, about the guys that we think or maybe Todd McShay thinks that are potential Hall of Famers.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_08]: So let's say it goes this way.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_08]: You get Mendoza, love, Manoa, Bailey get drafted in the top four.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_08]: Those guys that we talked about that are a Ohio State and potential Hall of Famers, they're all left over.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_08]: The Giants pick one of them, two of them are left and Tate, right?
- 44:37[SPEAKER_08]: So if it were to go that way, I don't know, but hypothetically speaking, if Tate styles and downs there, what are we doing?
- 44:48[SPEAKER_08]: Like GM's gonna take the Hall of Famer, I would think, and not Tate.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_08]: Right, so then are we going to have like three great linebackers?
- 44:58[SPEAKER_08]: Are we going to have another safety now to pair up with, you know, delpit, or are we going to take that receiver that we need so badly?
- 45:07[SPEAKER_08]: because it could be rough man, it could be rough year, like you need that offense.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_08]: So here's the argument with Fertate.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_08]: You need that offense to get the defense off the field so they can play fresh.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_08]: Now you're not getting any receivers in the first round.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_08]: Now you got two say studs at on defense.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_08]: They're playing the ton of downs, they're getting a ton of experience, you know.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_08]: But it's another year of watching 16 points again.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_02]: You want to sign up for that.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_02]: We might all signed up for that, Kenny.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_02]: That's what we might already be seeing.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I know.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_08]: Don't give me reality now, man.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_08]: Don't give me reality now.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_06]: It leans heavier 160 in our name.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_02]: So I got a couple don't be surprised ifs.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_02]: And it goes first one is right along with what you guys are saying, but it's a different name.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_02]: And it,
- 46:02[SPEAKER_02]: It's more in the line of last year and maybe I'm just misremembering things because maybe I wasn't paying attention to the defense aside the ball.
- 46:08[SPEAKER_02]: We were pounding the table so hard for offense.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember the Browns being linked to Mason Graham.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember the Mason Graham being talked about is, well, the Browns could be interested in Graham or whatever.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_02]: So that's why it kind of came as a surprise.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_02]: And I feel like Andrew Barry likes to do this stuff where he's putting out the smoke about tate, about freeling, about
- 46:31[SPEAKER_02]: Don't be surprised if the Browns, if they pick it six, come up there and turn the card in, and it's Mansour Delane.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_02]: The corner, the corner back.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, how to LSU.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's the best corner back in this draft.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's got a potential to be an elite corner back in the league.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's a top 10, 15 pick at the worst in this class.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_02]: with Denzel Ward getting older.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_02]: I was just, yeah, we need another corner back.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe, and I hate putting it out there, but they look to trade Denzel Ward after June 1st.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_02]: He becomes a tradable contract at that point.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, it could be hedging against that.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_02]: And then the other one that I was thinking about when I heard this voice mail from Colton was, don't be surprised if we leave night one and the Browns only made one pick.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_06]: Sure.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_02]: Trade out.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_02]: We trade out of maybe that 24 or something and get a couple more second round picks.
- 47:35[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe pick up a couple picks for an next year.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_09]: Yep.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_02]: Just because I feel like a lot of the analysts kind of what you see, what you hear, what you read is the differs between the the type of player, the level of player, you can get it say 20 and the level of player, you can get it 50.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_02]: There isn't that big of a gap.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_02]: in a lot of these draft analyst minds, probably on the GM's board.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_02]: So if you can move back out of 24, get another second round pick, maybe get another fourth round pick, get a second round pick next year or something.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_02]: I could see them doing something like that.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_02]: And then we would all be very upset.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_02]: You said of course cause we want our players now.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, I don't know what do you guys think about that?
- 48:22[SPEAKER_06]: It's fair.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_06]: It's fair.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_06]: I would say ultimate doom gloom scenario.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_06]: We show up to the studio to do the draft party for ourselves and news is breaking that there's teams talking to the Browns about Miles Garrett being traded.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_06]: Draft night.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_06]: That won't happen.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_06]: Cool.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_06]: Let's hold off then, boys.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think the Miles Garrett trade would come until after the June 1st.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 48:49[SPEAKER_08]: It was my initial proposal.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_02]: And I think, honestly, if the Browns are going to recoup draft picks for Miles Garrett, it would make sense to get, say you get three.
- 48:59[SPEAKER_02]: Well, get them starting in 20, 20, 20, every nine.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know, I don't have another first round pick in this draft.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_02]: That's kind of the mindset.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_02]: So, I'm with you.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_02]: And I know a lot of people, oh, don't talk about the Miles Garrett tray.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_02]: That's not going to happen.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_02]: Brown said that's not going to happen.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_06]: So, there, man.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_06]: No, they're open.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_06]: Hopefully, they're talk.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_06]: Hopefully, all this talk is, you know,
- 49:22[SPEAKER_02]: We won't have to worry about it.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I know.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_02]: I obviously would love to watch Miles Garrick continue to play for the Browns of Retirees.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_02]: But it's great.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_02]: He's already not been happy before.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_02]: This episode is sponsored by Better Sleep.

- 51:08[SPEAKER_02]: So this message in the website came from Matt.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_02]: He says, what's up guys, listen your podcasts on the eighth, just wanted to bring up a name that I believe not only will be in play, but will be the pick that A.B.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_02]: makes with the six or especially if you can trade down for this pick.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_02]: I was looking at Dane Brewlers, the beast.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_02]: I noticed a position that is a big need for the Browns, lines up with B.P.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_02]: eight six and one that A.B.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_02]: loves to draft.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_02]: I think you may have mentioned before.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, here we go.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_02]: But I believe that quarterback Mansour Delane will be a Cleveland Brown come April 23rd.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_02]: So, Matt was already head to me on this, and I'm talking about Mansour Delane.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_02]: He says, AB will not be drafting a wide receiver in the first round.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_02]: So, not at all.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_02]: Ninety-minute 24.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_02]: He says, I'm not sold.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_02]: He will go online either.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_02]: I think he will go BPA, Delane fits that profile.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_02]: I also think at 24.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_02]: Another one that I like too, and we need to keep in mind, Emanuel McNeill Warren is in play.
- 51:59[SPEAKER_02]: The safety from Toledo, as well as cornerback.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_02]: Chris Johnson, out of San Diego State, I'm going to laugh when we end up taking two DBs in the first round and everybody's freaking out about not taking an offensive weapon with either pick.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_02]: If AB takes a wide receiver, it will not be in any earlier than 39, but I'd love to hear what you guys think.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_02]: Keep up the good work.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I mean, we just kind of touched on it.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_06]: Don't be shocked.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_06]: There's needs everywhere.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_06]: I, you know, we've kind of come along on it that this is going to be, it's not just a couple of things need, you know, tanker.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_06]: This is a, we're basically in a rebuild.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_06]: We're in it, you know, where there's a lot of needs.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_06]: probably not addressing all this year.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_06]: So would I be shocked at this point anymore?
- 52:41[SPEAKER_06]: Nothing really shocks us.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_06]: Like we can get up and only why.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, we can get upset.
- 52:47[SPEAKER_06]: But like at the end of the day, it makes sense.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean?
- 52:51[SPEAKER_06]: Like let's say, Denzel decides he wants out.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_06]: You know, then we are very, very thin in the secondary.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_06]: Like extremely thin.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_06]: I wouldn't be shocked at all.
- 53:02[SPEAKER_08]: I would be super angry if we if we drafted this guy and down to still on the board.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_08]: I would wrap I get what he's saying.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_08]: I'm not saying that those aren't positions that we don't need.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_08]: I get where your mind's at.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_08]: That's I totally get that.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_08]: But if we're if you're going to go corner safety, get downs first, get the potential Hall of Famer.
- 53:25[SPEAKER_08]: I don't man sort of delaney like with that guy.
- 53:28[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, he's
- 53:31[SPEAKER_08]: He's good fluid movement with him.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_08]: It's the physicality.
- 53:35[SPEAKER_08]: You're not going to get a run stop or you're if you were to get rid of Denzel, for example, he's actually decent against the run.
- 53:40[SPEAKER_08]: This guy doesn't really have it.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_08]: I had a hard time with dropping that dude right now, but I'm not saying he's a bad player, but with the other,
- 53:51[SPEAKER_08]: perceived talent that I think's available for what this team needs.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_08]: I got two dogs at corner, then I got a major drop-off, and I'm drafting a guy to be behind those guys.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_08]: I need a guy that plays more from me.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_02]: If Denzel's not traded.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's the thing.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_02]: We'll see what they do in the draft.
- 54:12[SPEAKER_02]: We just hosted David Bailey, the Ed rush out of Texas Tech for a top 30 visit.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_02]: We've had Caden Proctor this week.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_02]: We had Caleb Lomu.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_02]: We had Cedique Kenyan Cedique, my least favorite guy in the first round.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_02]: So you get a half-fibre.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's all it.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe I'm more interested.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I'm not right about everything like Blake.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_02]: So real quick shout out Dawson low super chat says no tradeback take Tate or I will turn into Vente Well don't turn into Vente's against all Vente's me.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't pass on him But anyway, um, now I'm with you on that So we got one more voicemail here tonight and this one's from Stacey and actually we're gonna talk about another corner back here
- 54:54[SPEAKER_04]: Hey guys, it's A.C. and I'm on a beautiful day in Ohio, 64 degrees, taking my dog for a walk.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_04]: And I was just thinking, trying to get maybe a little bit of conversation going about some of these defensive players in the draft since that's what we've been talking about lately.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_04]: And I was wondering, how are people feeling about Colton Hood, the corner back from Tennessee?
- 55:14[SPEAKER_04]: I feel like he hasn't really been mentioned much in any of our like mock drafts or anything like that, but personally me, I really like the kid, and I think that he plays aggressive.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_04]: He has a nose for the ball, and I just think that he could be a sleeper in the draft that maybe not a lot of people are looking at.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_04]: So, just wanted to get your guys' thoughts on that.
- 55:35[SPEAKER_04]: Go dogs.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_08]: He's like, he's like the complete opposite of man's story, he's a guy that can tackle.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_08]: And then I think he's, I think he's a guy that's really explosive in between the 10.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_08]: Like he's going to be a guy that's going to play out in the perimeter, but he doesn't have a lot of long ball speed.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_08]: I know with Delaney, he doesn't have the elite long ball speed, but he would be a better option if you're going to have a starter obviously, hence the higher rating.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_08]: But, man, if you want somebody that can tackle he'd be at your pick a 24, I mean, I don't know why we're talking about quarterbacks so much number one.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to talk about defenders that haven't really been brought up because yeah, yeah.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_02]: We didn't know anything about Carson's Wesinger last year and then boom, 33, there we go.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, what?
- 56:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, fair point.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that was a great pick, but we weren't expecting it.
- 56:32[SPEAKER_08]: Hey, man, to get a, to get a corner that can tackle, I mean, I've,
- 56:36[SPEAKER_08]: that sounds good to me and he's a guy that is going to be press heavy so I mean I'd have other picks but he sounds good.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_06]: I agree with you Kenny on like the between the 10 stuff is when you watch some of this film like his east of west change direction speed like that do can stop on a diamond go the other way and get back and.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_06]: the play I watched that it stood out specifically like it almost looked like he was gonna misplay it and then he was able to get back behind him and around back to the guy and still make the pass break up so the guy is recovery speeds nice and like explosive I just I see him like in somewhere towards you know like middle late first
- 57:18[SPEAKER_06]: So maybe 24, I guess, you know, if like, or if you talk about the Dallas thing where it's 12 and 22, you know, like 20 would make a lot of sense completely, I guess it just all depends on what happens at six that puts him into play.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, here's the thing I wanted to tell about him.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_08]: He's, uh, he gets a little handsy and that might not be in his favor in the NFL could get a lot of flags for our own early, so that's something that would need to be coached up.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_08]: And again, I'll go back to what I said previously, but I got to sit a guy, he's not playing nickel back for me because I know I need a nickel.
- 57:54[SPEAKER_08]: Um, I need somebody that plays.
- 57:56[SPEAKER_08]: So if it was Peter Woods for example, and he can affect the past game, make everybody better.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_08]: based on what I've read.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_08]: That being said, I need more people in offense.
- 58:06[SPEAKER_08]: I need people to take up a lot of snaps right now.
- 58:09[SPEAKER_08]: And so while he's, I like the, the running and everything, it just not a pick for me.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_02]: Peter Woods would be similar to your cornerback argument, though, Kenny, because you're going to be playing him after Mason Graham and Malik Collins.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_08]: I'm I'm playing them right away, man.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_08]: Sorry.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_08]: So who you mentioned then?
- 58:26[SPEAKER_08]: I'm I'm Bench and Collins.
- 58:28[SPEAKER_08]: He's easier.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_08]: He's injured.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, he's going to be.
- 58:31[SPEAKER_08]: Get him healthy.
- 58:31[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I'll get in there.
- 58:35[SPEAKER_08]: All jokes aside though, fair.
- 58:36[SPEAKER_08]: That's a fair point.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_08]: It's something that I just don't see.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_08]: because of his step.
- 58:42[SPEAKER_08]: I just have a gut feeling that Barry's going to draft them.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_08]: If I had my brothers, I would rather somebody that played more snaps at that point.
- 58:52[SPEAKER_08]: You know what I've said earlier and many, many episodes.
- 58:55[SPEAKER_08]: I take two receivers in the first round of a cut.
- 58:57[SPEAKER_08]: because I just, the low rating that they had all year did not help us win games at all.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_08]: At all, sure you can blame it on the offensive line, rookie quarterbacks.
- 59:09[SPEAKER_08]: We didn't get open, we didn't separate, we didn't do anything.
- 59:12[SPEAKER_08]: And I need to see some new blood in there.
- 59:14[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so I guess we got a couple of minutes here before we end the show.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_02]: We were talking about this before we went live.
- 59:20[SPEAKER_02]: So, Jess, I want you to give everybody a little bit of your film take away from the guy that if we pass on wide receiver at six.
- 59:27[SPEAKER_02]: And I still wanna come away with a guy who's got the ability to become your wide receiver one on your team.
- 59:33[SPEAKER_02]: For me, that's Casey Conception.
- 59:34[SPEAKER_02]: I think if you're passing on wide receiver and you're waiting until 24, you gotta get Conception.
- 59:41[SPEAKER_02]: That's my dude in that range.
- 59:42[SPEAKER_02]: So you watched a little film, though.
- 59:44[SPEAKER_02]: Let me know.
- 59:45[SPEAKER_02]: Tell everybody what you kind of saw.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_02]: Coming away from that.
- 59:48[SPEAKER_06]: He's kind of, he's very, very scrappy, man.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_06]: I, the thing that the biggest thing that I took away once I was like really getting into it is I just kept going, man, this guy would leave so good on special teams for us, my goodness.
- 1:00:02[SPEAKER_06]: He, he's very, very electric in space.
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_06]: He's fun to watch.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_06]: There's a particular play that stood out.
- 1:00:09[SPEAKER_06]: I was telling Josh, it was,
- 1:00:11[SPEAKER_06]: like a throw in it.
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_06]: He caught it and he's like at the two one yard line and he just gets stood up basically and stopped.
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_06]: Dude just fights the guys off and just breaks forward.
- 1:00:20[SPEAKER_06]: Like I want that kind of guy on my team.
- 1:00:23[SPEAKER_06]: I want a guy with some dog and him.
- 1:00:24[SPEAKER_06]: He's got some out for a little bit to him.
- 1:00:26[SPEAKER_06]: Like the plays I was watching.
- 1:00:29[SPEAKER_06]: He's very fun.
- 1:00:31[SPEAKER_06]: Contested catch was nice.
- 1:00:33[SPEAKER_06]: The argument that I always hear with him Josh, and I've heard you kind of like fight back with people on this is that he drops a lot But then I've heard you bring up the stat line, you know, as far as like he really It's not that bad, right?
- 1:00:45[SPEAKER_06]: Is that true?
- 1:00:46[SPEAKER_06]: Because that's like what I always hear with him is that just he's a little Not consistent with the drops and I think as brown spans we fear that because of other, you know, receiver issues on our team.
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so I think
- 1:00:58[SPEAKER_02]: For what I've heard and listened to a lot of the drops were in part to Marcel Reed, not being not throwing the greatest passes to him.
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_02]: I've heard some really great analysts that I liked to follow and respect that they said, concept Zione could easily had 12, 13, 1400 yards this year.
- 1:01:18[SPEAKER_02]: Like Reed was living yards all over the field.
- 1:01:21[SPEAKER_06]: Uh, if that dude had a tear away jersey that dude would have, uh, how many plays is that jersey holding him back from getting another touchdown?
- 1:01:28[SPEAKER_06]: It, his film was crazy.
- 1:01:30[SPEAKER_06]: He is a big play magnet, um, and special teams, man.
- 1:01:34[SPEAKER_06]: Special teams, I, that's the thing I was watching and I just kept going.
- 1:01:39[SPEAKER_06]: does that another 80 yard you know part return or a kick return like man this is crazy and it's not like he's just obviously shift the in space and he can dance and get you know get wild and get loose there's somewhere he's just knock in a guy over just you know just completely just throwing him off the his his yards after catch ability is very very good also i mean for a team that lacks the weapons
- 1:02:03[SPEAKER_06]: Does it not just glare like holy crap?
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_06]: And maybe we're falling in love with just the need.
- 1:02:08[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean?
- 1:02:08[SPEAKER_06]: Because I'm guilty of that, too, man.
- 1:02:10[SPEAKER_02]: And the thing is, okay, so at 24, you take a receiver.
- 1:02:13[SPEAKER_02]: I'm saying that I think that he's got the potential that he could become a wide receiver one for an NFL team.
- 1:02:19[SPEAKER_02]: That doesn't always happen.
- 1:02:19[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes you take a divante Smith in the top 10 or wherever the Eagles took him.
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_02]: He's not necessarily a wide receiver one, but you need him.
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_06]: He's good.
- 1:02:27[SPEAKER_06]: He's reliable or often.
- 1:02:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:02:29[SPEAKER_02]: So you take it or you take a T Higgins at 33 and then the next year you take Jamar Chase.
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_02]: So we take case he consumption.
- 1:02:34[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe we get a bigger, more prototypical, outflow receiver next year in the draft.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_02]: Or some Jamar Snatcher.
- 1:02:40[SPEAKER_02]: But either way, now you've got to just maybe awesome guys.
- 1:02:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Jeremy, I submit that would.
- 1:02:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:02:46[SPEAKER_02]: pipe dream.
- 1:02:48[SPEAKER_02]: No kidding.
- 1:02:48[SPEAKER_02]: Well, that's why we need to normally fall out and be the quarterback.
- 1:02:51[SPEAKER_02]: So we're not trying to figure that out next year in the draft.
- 1:02:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:02:55[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 1:02:55[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, in conception, he can be he can be your said.
- 1:02:58[SPEAKER_08]: He can be your slot.
- 1:03:00[SPEAKER_08]: You can play special teams like the Browns keep preaching versatility and like the biggest thing that I get about Tate as well is that he can play all those positions plus X, right?
- 1:03:09[SPEAKER_08]: So he can be your long ball guy, you know, even with conception, he can be a gadget guy a little bit as well.
- 1:03:15[SPEAKER_08]: Like they can do a little bit of everything.
- 1:03:17[SPEAKER_08]: So it gives Munkton more resources on his offense.
- 1:03:21[SPEAKER_08]: And that's why I like those guys right now because it gets back to what I was saying earlier.
- 1:03:26[SPEAKER_08]: I don't want to see 16 points.
- 1:03:28[SPEAKER_08]: And I know I don't set myself up for failure here.
- 1:03:31[SPEAKER_08]: But I want to see 16 points again.
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_08]: That's that's the basis of my draft and what I'm looking at right now.
- 1:03:38[SPEAKER_02]: That's exactly it, man.
- 1:03:39[SPEAKER_02]: But that'll do it for tonight.
- 1:03:41[SPEAKER_02]: I appreciate everybody tuning in.
- 1:03:43[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, hanging out with us on a Friday night.
- 1:03:45[SPEAKER_02]: This is awesome.
- 1:03:46[SPEAKER_02]: So thank you guys so much.
- 1:03:47[SPEAKER_02]: And we'll be back next week with more draft content, more stuff to talk about heading into the following week.
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_02]: Which, of course, is finally the draft.
- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_02]: We get some answers.
- 1:03:57[SPEAKER_02]: We can start finally breaking down, not just prospects, but actually Cleveland Browns players.
- 1:04:01[SPEAKER_06]: So that'll be a 13 round 13.
- 1:04:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, we have the plans down.
- 1:04:11[SPEAKER_02]: We know we're doing before the show.
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_02]: So it's going to be awesome.
- 1:04:14[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
- 1:04:14[SPEAKER_08]: Hey, man.
- 1:04:14[SPEAKER_08]: We're day 95 of the 120 reset.
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_08]: Let's reset.
- 1:04:18[SPEAKER_08]: That's happening, man.

- 1:04:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:04:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
