- 0:00Speaker 1: What up, y'all? It's your boy, KevOnSteak.
- 0:01Speaker 2: Tony Baker.
- 0:02Speaker 3: This is the Bald Brothers, where me and my good friend,
- 0:05Speaker 3: Anthony Charles Baker, the first?
- 0:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:09Speaker 3: The first to talk about whatever we want to talk about. Today,
- 0:14Speaker 3: we are talking Green Lanterns, and we're talking The Drop,
- 0:18Speaker 3: a Snowfall series. But before we do that, Tony got
- 0:21Speaker 3: to get something off his chest. We got to talk
- 0:23Speaker 3: about this publicly. Tony is seriously, seriously, considering getting rid
- 0:30Speaker 3: of the cats. Josh told me this this morning. I
- 0:33Speaker 3: thought clearly Tony's just playing. I did not see the
- 0:35Speaker 3: video because I was potting. Tony, what is going on
- 0:38Speaker 3: with Dapper Midnight?
- 0:39Speaker 1: We need the cats.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Piss.
- 0:42Speaker 4: Piss has been going on. It's been going on. It's
- 0:45Speaker 4: still going on. And now it's going on too often.
- 0:48Speaker 4: There's too much going on. and it's stressing me the
- 0:51Speaker 4: hell out.
- 0:51Speaker 3: How much piss is so much piss that you are
- 0:53Speaker 3: considering rehoming the cat?
- 0:55Speaker 2: Damn near daily.
- 0:56Speaker 4: All right, so here this year, so I got the
- 1:00Speaker 4: litter boxes in the room upstairs that was formerly the
- 1:03Speaker 4: laundry room.
- 1:04Speaker 2: So midnight, before.
- 1:08Speaker 4: I set up the little, they're like little flaps and
- 1:12Speaker 4: little doors that you can put on the little robot, right?
- 1:16Speaker 4: So he was going in the little robot and peeing
- 1:18Speaker 4: inside the box, but it was shooting out.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Oh my God.
- 1:23Speaker 2: So, cause one time I thought, I thought one of
- 1:26Speaker 2: them wasn't going in there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I'm like, man, Dapper, man,
- 1:29Speaker 2: I know it's you. Yeah. You know what I'm saying?
- 1:32Speaker 2: You not going in there, you just peeing right in
- 1:34Speaker 2: front of the little robot. Yeah.
- 1:35Speaker 4: So I was in there, in the room doing something else.
- 1:39Speaker 4: Midnight was in the box and he was peeing. He
- 1:41Speaker 4: almost hit me, but I saw him in real time.
- 1:44Speaker 2: I was like, oh, this is what's happening here. I'm like, God.
- 1:49Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:50Speaker 4: So that was already a daily stress. I would walk
- 1:52Speaker 4: past that room, see it on the floor, and I
- 1:54Speaker 4: would get to mop it up.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Yeah. So then I got those things and added it
- 1:58Speaker 2: to the little robot. It stopped.
- 1:59Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:00Speaker 2: I was like, perfect. All right.
- 2:01Speaker 4: So now it's pee downstairs. It's pee kind of by
- 2:06Speaker 4: the garage door. Then by the bathroom door downstairs. Then
- 2:10Speaker 4: they peed in the gym room. There's pee in the kitchen.
- 2:12Speaker 2: There's pee over here by the- So you're searching for pee.
- 2:15Speaker 4: So every time I come downstairs, it's just like, where's
- 2:19Speaker 4: Waldo on the piss? They peeing on my curtains in
- 2:23Speaker 4: the dining room. There's pee on the one open part
- 2:26Speaker 4: of the couch downstairs that's uncovered.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Pee on that.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Oh, God.
- 2:31Speaker 2: So I'm just- There's pee.
- 2:32Speaker 4: Over there in the breakfast nook area, kind of by
- 2:35Speaker 4: the cat food dishes. I'm just like- This is too
- 2:38Speaker 4: much pee. And I'm just like, bro, what is happening, man?
- 2:43Speaker 4: What is happening? And he, Midnight can tell. This side
- 2:47Speaker 4: should have known he was guilty. He can tell, because
- 2:50Speaker 4: I would be yelling. I'd be like, man, what the fuck, bro?
- 2:54Speaker 4: And he'd be like, he'd look in a certain way.
- 2:58Speaker 4: Dapper would just be like.
- 3:01Speaker 1: I'm butting up, I got the tuxedo on.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Debra not really tripping.
- 3:04Speaker 4: He just like, so I'm like, this whole time, he.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Might have been the innocent part. Like, it wasn't me.
- 3:10Speaker 2: He just giving me it wasn't me energy.
- 3:12Speaker 4: Midnight is like, you good, but I also want to
- 3:15Speaker 4: beg for food. But I don't know if you good,
- 3:17Speaker 4: but I want to beg for food. I want to
- 3:19Speaker 4: talk to you about the food. Fuck this food.
- 3:22Speaker 2: He like, yo, you mild?
- 3:26Speaker 4: So now it's just more prevalent. I added a third
- 3:31Speaker 4: litter box. I then had them tested from the vets.
- 3:33Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying? They're not old. They're not
- 3:36Speaker 2: old enough to be doing this. They're my age in
- 3:38Speaker 2: cat years. They're in their 40s. They're seven. Okay. Okay.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Are cat years and dog years the same?
- 3:43Speaker 2: Yeah. Give or take.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Give or take?
- 3:45Speaker 2: Yeah. And so we're the same age.
- 3:47Speaker 1: You peed on yourself.
- 3:49Speaker 2: I did pee on myself. And doo-doo. Well, dude. Well,
- 3:52Speaker 2: that was a sickness. Well, maybe. I don't be doodling
- 3:55Speaker 2: on myself on a daily basis. It'll get you, man.
- 3:57Speaker 2: It'll get you.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Mexico, man.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Mexico City, man. I dabbled this weekend.
- 4:03Speaker 1: You pooped on yourself too?
- 4:04Speaker 2: A little bit, man.
- 4:05Speaker 1: But you know, it's a byproduct of.
- 4:08Speaker 2: The sickness, man. It's the sickness. I do it on
- 4:10Speaker 2: myself healthy. The Rocky Road Ice Cream?
- 4:14Speaker 1: No, no. This was recent. This is February. I didn't
- 4:17Speaker 1: tell you?
- 4:18Speaker 4: No.
- 4:18Speaker 3: I do it on myself the day I had to
- 4:20Speaker 3: host the ABFF Honors.
- 4:21Speaker 2: What?
- 4:22Speaker 3: Because I was walking five miles in Beverly Hills. And
- 4:25Speaker 3: I thought I was cool. Two and a half away,
- 4:29Speaker 3: two and a half back. And what happened was, because
- 4:34Speaker 3: they have so much homeless stuff, everything was closed. All
- 4:36Speaker 3: the doors were locked in the restaurants. Didn't dawn on
- 4:38Speaker 3: me that I could've Ubered. Right, but I was trying
- 4:40Speaker 3: to do my exercise, but I was like.
- 4:41Speaker 2: This is early in the morning. This is early in
- 4:43Speaker 2: the morning. This is your early ass get. See, I
- 4:45Speaker 2: would have never been caught out there.
- 4:47Speaker 5: 5 a.m.
- 4:47Speaker 1: I'm walking at 4 or 5 a.m. Beverly Hills. And
- 4:50Speaker 1: what happened, I was like close to the hotel. Yeah.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Like I can see the hotel.
- 4:54Speaker 3: There was some car traffic coming, and I thought I
- 4:57Speaker 3: had enough time to walk because I'm like walking gingerly
- 4:59Speaker 3: but fast. And I had to do a little jog
- 5:02Speaker 3: just to not get by a car. And as soon
- 5:05Speaker 3: as I do, that dude said, do-doop-doop. And I said, oh, no, oh, no.
- 5:09Speaker 3: And I felt like doo-doo balls. I felt like a
- 5:12Speaker 3: few doo-doo balls in my draws. And then I'm like, God,
- 5:17Speaker 3: I got to get in there.
- 5:19Speaker 6: And you thought they were just regular little gases coming out.
- 5:21Speaker 1: I thought there was a little fart. And that dude
- 5:22Speaker 1: was waiting like, if he take two run steps, I'm out.
- 5:26Speaker 2: That was the Trojan horse, man.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Trojan horse. So this and that was like.
- 5:29Speaker 2: And these were solid turds. Solid dude. Not diarrhea. Not diarrhea.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Three little doo-doo balls. Oh, oh. Oh, that's so much worse.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Three little doo-doo balls.
- 5:38Speaker 6: Because you filled the occupation immediately.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Yes.
- 5:41Speaker 3: I was like, oh, it's a doo-doo. And I had
- 5:43Speaker 3: no drawers on. I said, I can never walk again
- 5:46Speaker 3: without drawers on. Why you out here with no panties on, man?
- 5:50Speaker 3: I just didn't want to have a wasted pair of drawers.
- 5:53Speaker 3: But then there's no doo-doo. Now I had a doo-doo
- 5:55Speaker 3: pool in my sock and stuff.
- 5:57Speaker 2: You had on pants.
- 5:59Speaker 1: I had these kind of pants. Socks and shoes.
- 6:01Speaker 3: So then I get in the elevator. At the SLS Hotel.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 6:07Speaker 3: And I see Young Miami going there. And it's the
- 6:09Speaker 3: only elevator. And I'm like, I'm so sorry.
- 6:12Speaker 2: You was in the elevator with Young Miami? With Young Miami.
- 6:14Speaker 1: With doo-doo in your legs. With doo-doo in my legs.
- 6:17Speaker 1: And I know she smelled it. She didn't say nothing.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Could you smell it?
- 6:20Speaker 1: I could smell it. And I was just like, I'm sorry.
- 6:23Speaker 5: I thought it was hypothetical that she could smell it.
- 6:25Speaker 1: No, no.
- 6:26Speaker 2: She 100% smells it.
- 6:27Speaker 1: It's just me and her.
- 6:28Speaker 5: No, I know you told this story before, but I
- 6:30Speaker 5: didn't take it as it was clearly smellable.
- 6:33Speaker 1: It's doo-doo, Josh.
- 6:35Speaker 2: A grown man's doo-doo.
- 6:36Speaker 6: But sometimes if you don't get past the arch, you
- 6:39Speaker 6: can still tug it.
- 6:40Speaker 1: It's doo-doo. It's doo-doo in the world. It's outside in
- 6:44Speaker 1: the world. It's not inside.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Why did you take the next elevator? Why did you
- 6:49Speaker 2: wait till the next one?
- 6:50Speaker 1: So I can doodle more? There's more doodle coming.
- 6:52Speaker 2: But still, you already doodled.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Absolutely not.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Once you already doodled, you might as well just wait
- 6:56Speaker 2: till the coast is cool.
- 6:58Speaker 3: No, I didn't fully doodle. That was just the beginning.
- 7:01Speaker 3: So I don't want to fully doodle. I'm still holding it.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Turds escaped.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Turds escaped, but there are others waiting at the hatch
- 7:09Speaker 3: to come out. I don't know how long the next
- 7:10Speaker 3: elevator is going to come. Young Miami is just going
- 7:12Speaker 3: to have to deal with this. She's an adult woman.
- 7:14Speaker 3: She's been through some stuff.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Not this.
- 7:17Speaker 3: No, not this. I said sorry in my head. I
- 7:21Speaker 3: didn't talk to her. I looked down and I stood
- 7:24Speaker 3: as far away from her as I could. It was
- 7:26Speaker 3: just you two.
- 7:27Speaker 2: It was just me and her. I said, Carisha, please.
- 7:30Speaker 6: You didn't have your hoodie on or anything?
- 7:32Speaker 1: No, she saw my face. I just hope she doesn't know.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Who I am. She 100% knows who we are.
- 7:37Speaker 1: If she says on a podcast, Kevon says she's not
- 7:38Speaker 1: like you.
- 7:38Speaker 4: Have you checked to see if she's following you? Nope.
- 7:41Speaker 2: I can't go over there. Let me see. I'm going
- 7:43Speaker 2: to do it right now. What's her IG?
- 7:45Speaker 1: I can't go over there.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 7:48Speaker 3: I had to take a shower. It took me forever.
- 7:49Speaker 3: And then we had an open concept bathroom. So Alyssa's
- 7:52Speaker 3: in there. I feel bad because the doo-doo smell ain't
- 7:54Speaker 3: going out. I had to find a trash can, dispose
- 7:56Speaker 3: of the doo-doo, allegedly, allegedly, hippa, hippa.
- 8:00Speaker 2: You're not following me. You might as well head. You check?
- 8:04Speaker 1: She's not.
- 8:05Speaker 2: She's only following 400 people. Unless she got a burner.
- 8:07Speaker 2: There's a chance she doesn't know who I am. She
- 8:10Speaker 2: could have a burner, though. If she's only following 400 people,
- 8:11Speaker 2: I can imagine. I'm sure she knows who you are, though.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Maybe not.
- 8:15Speaker 2: I'm going to DM her and ask her if she remembers.
- 8:17Speaker 2: She tapped into stuff. You be all over the internet.
- 8:22Speaker 4: I'm willing to bet if somebody was like, yo, matter
- 8:25Speaker 4: of fact, if any of you know Young Miami, ask
- 8:30Speaker 4: her if she knows who Kevin on stage is.
- 8:33Speaker 6: She's got a kid, right?
- 8:35Speaker 2: Younger Miami. Oh, she definitely knows Kevon Sage. I'm willing
- 8:39Speaker 2: to bet that she knows. I hope not. Now, here's
- 8:45Speaker 2: what might save you.
- 8:47Speaker 4: Okay.
- 8:47Speaker 2: You might not have registered in that elevator.
- 8:50Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
- 8:51Speaker 4: So even if she does know you, she might not
- 8:53Speaker 4: put two and two together if that.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Was you in that elevator.
- 8:55Speaker 4: Yes.
- 8:56Speaker 2: You guys entered at the same time?
- 8:57Speaker 1: She went in first.
- 8:58Speaker 2: I would have just waited.
- 9:01Speaker 6: So it could have smelt bad.
- 9:04Speaker 2: She went in maybe 30 seconds before I went in.
- 9:06Speaker 2: 30 seconds is a long time. Yeah. So she was
- 9:09Speaker 2: clearly in there for maybe not even 30 seconds. Probably
- 9:11Speaker 2: like five seconds, actually.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Oh, I mean.
- 9:14Speaker 2: She could have been sick that day.
- 9:17Speaker 1: If she farted, that would be great.
- 9:18Speaker 2: She could have been congested.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Oh, you mean she couldn't smell? Yeah. Okay.
- 9:22Speaker 6: I mean, she also could have. I mean, you never know.
- 9:25Speaker 2: I could only hope. That would have been a good
- 9:27Speaker 2: cover up. I could only hope. Once I already doo-dooed.
- 9:32Speaker 1: I'm not, but Tony, it was hurting my stomach.
- 9:35Speaker 2: I mean.
- 9:36Speaker 1: I would rather be like Young Miami. What's going to happen?
- 9:39Speaker 2: Young Miami, I will.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Tell you, as a comedian, what's the worst thing you
- 9:43Speaker 1: ever did? Kept on stage, doo-doo.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Yes, I did. That's the best thing for the joke. Whatever.
- 9:47Speaker 1: I'm not going to call her a liar.
- 9:48Speaker 2: That's one thing about comedians. There's nothing. I'm not embarrassed.
- 9:51Speaker 1: You can't really kill us like that. No, I was
- 9:53Speaker 1: trying to exercise.
- 9:54Speaker 2: But still, it's just. But anyway, back to the cats.
- 9:57Speaker 4: Yeah, man.
- 9:58Speaker 1: So I was telling Tony before we went.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Went, I wished you could talk to the cats and
- 10:03Speaker 3: impress upon them that if they don't stop peeing, you
- 10:07Speaker 3: might be gone.
- 10:08Speaker 4: And the cool part is it's collateral damage for Dapper.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Dapper, he's done nothing wrong. And you can't just rehome midnight.
- 10:17Speaker 2: What he's doing wrong, though, he keeps tearing up my rugs.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Oh, he does have some crimes against him.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Yeah. He keeps tearing up my rugs.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Scratching them?
- 10:25Speaker 4: Yeah. He only scratches the rugs. The rug in my
- 10:29Speaker 4: den and the rug in the living room.
- 10:31Speaker 2: He'll be... Because midnight, when I come home, he'll be excited.
- 10:35Speaker 4: He'll do his scratch on the proper scratching items that
- 10:40Speaker 4: I bought for them to scratch on. Except midnight also
- 10:43Speaker 4: does my chairs in the kitchen look.
- 10:45Speaker 2: He be doing those. So you got the tearing up
- 10:49Speaker 2: the furniture, the scratching, you got the piss.
- 10:53Speaker 1: So it was just like.
- 10:54Speaker 2: But you gonna be all alone. I don't care anymore.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Would you not get more cats?
- 10:58Speaker 4: I'm not getting nothing. I'm not getting nothing. It's just
- 11:04Speaker 4: going to be me and me. And the laptop and
- 11:06Speaker 4: the crisscross applesauce.
- 11:08Speaker 2: I'm going to be truly alone, but I'm going to
- 11:10Speaker 2: be peaceful. I'll tell you that. I'm going to know
- 11:12Speaker 2: what I'm walking into.
- 11:13Speaker 1: And I'm saving money.
- 11:15Speaker 4: Every time I go out of town, I have to
- 11:17Speaker 4: pay somebody to watch them.
- 11:18Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true. But do you need more money? Or
- 11:22Speaker 1: you need companionship?
- 11:23Speaker 2: I need more money, man. All money is saved. Shit
- 11:27Speaker 2: is expensive, man. So that's what I'm dealing with. I'm
- 11:30Speaker 2: dead serious. I don't want to hear nothing about nobody
- 11:33Speaker 2: being cute. No, it's the cats.
- 11:34Speaker 4: Fuck y'all. These cats are killing my peace. And y'all
- 11:39Speaker 4: just be like, no, I'm team cats. Fuck y'all.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Unfollow me.
- 11:43Speaker 4: Because y'all don't give a damn about my peace. I've
- 11:47Speaker 4: been a great cat owner this whole time. Y'all be like,
- 11:51Speaker 4: I'm team cats. Let them be on the counter.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Little cats gonna catch. Fuck them. And I want them
- 11:58Speaker 2: to see this.
- 11:59Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. They're watching, y'all.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Come on.
- 12:02Speaker 3: Y'all need to know. Y'all need to know. I'm at
- 12:05Speaker 3: my wits end. All right. Let's get into the topic
- 12:12Speaker 3: of today. We talking about Green Lantern.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Lanterns. Huh?
- 12:20Speaker 2: Lanterns. Lanterns.
- 12:22Speaker 3: So we're focusing on episode six. This episode picks up
- 12:28Speaker 3: post-Manhunter capture gate and the residual effects of that. I
- 12:34Speaker 3: thought this was kind of interesting. Usually if you do
- 12:38Speaker 3: a time jump, you don't cover the stuff. But they
- 12:42Speaker 3: was like, nah, here's the remnants of this. That motel
- 12:46Speaker 3: never opened again. Some of these businesses are destroyed.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Right.
- 12:51Speaker 3: It's kind of like in a similar way to how
- 12:54Speaker 3: you hear people talk about cities post-natural disaster. My favorite
- 12:58Speaker 3: Tiny Desk is Tank in the Bangles. She's from New Orleans.
- 13:01Speaker 3: She talks about there's a roller coaster place that never
- 13:04Speaker 3: reopened after the storm. It still says real reopen after storm,
- 13:06Speaker 3: but it never opened. And that's what the people of
- 13:08Speaker 3: Rushville are going through. Some people are just like, I'm
- 13:11Speaker 3: out of here.
- 13:11Speaker 2: People either just left with no rebuild.
- 13:14Speaker 1: No rebuild. They were like, I'm done.
- 13:16Speaker 3: And Rushville didn't seem like a great place to live anyway.
- 13:19Speaker 3: And now you got alien activity. Guns a-blazing, laser blast.
- 13:24Speaker 3: You're like, they're like, I'm out of here.
- 13:26Speaker 2: You know what pissed me off? This is a little nitpick.
- 13:28Speaker 2: All right. The sheriff.
- 13:30Speaker 4: She was always like, man, they got the best coffee
- 13:34Speaker 4: in the county.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, man.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Shut the hell up, man. And then she came back.
- 13:39Speaker 2: I make the best meatloaf. All right, man.
- 13:43Speaker 1: You lying. You can do it.
- 13:45Speaker 2: I make the best meatloaf. And the meatloaf looks regular.
- 13:48Speaker 2: The meatloaf looks regular.
- 13:50Speaker 1: I said, man, I see meat.
- 13:50Speaker 2: That's Salisbury steak, man. It definitely didn't look like meatloaf.
- 13:55Speaker 2: It looked more like Salisbury steak. Yeah. I was like, man. Well,
- 13:58Speaker 2: where's the red?
- 13:59Speaker 3: That's so funny that you mentioned that. Because I was like, man,
- 14:01Speaker 3: the place is just called Cafe.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Coffee can't be that good.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Like, it's the best coffee in the county.
- 14:06Speaker 1: And it's just coffee in regular pots at a diner.
- 14:09Speaker 1: That ain't nothing but Folgers regular pour. Like, how can you?
- 14:13Speaker 1: It's not artisanal.
- 14:14Speaker 2: We live in.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Gay coffee city.
- 14:17Speaker 3: Where gay people in Echo Park are making your coffee
- 14:20Speaker 3: with love per drink.
- 14:22Speaker 2: You think in Rushville, they.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Just getting mass produced coffee? People in LA, they go
- 14:26Speaker 1: for the beans. They go to Ethiopia.
- 14:28Speaker 2: They go to the source. Local farmers coalition.
- 14:32Speaker 3: Right.
- 14:33Speaker 2: Rushville's ordering coffee off a pallet. I wasn't buying it, man.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Folgers best at best. It's Folgers. It's Folgers Christmas.
- 14:42Speaker 1: It's Folgers all through the county, Josh.
- 14:44Speaker 2: They are not taking pride.
- 14:46Speaker 4: I have never heard about Oklahoma and coffee a day
- 14:49Speaker 4: in my goddamn life.
- 14:51Speaker 1: There's not even a Starbucks in Rushville.
- 14:53Speaker 3: Because most people who like coffee consider Starbucks terrible coffee.
- 14:57Speaker 4: Right.
- 14:58Speaker 2: They're like, man, this is mass produced, so you know
- 15:00Speaker 2: Rushville's trash on the coffee. Big trash. Ain't no way.
- 15:03Speaker 4: I'd have been like, I don't even drink coffee. I
- 15:06Speaker 4: would hate to live in a city like that. Oh, man,
- 15:09Speaker 4: that town.
- 15:09Speaker 3: Even watching the song. Even when we got to drive.
- 15:12Speaker 3: I'd be like, man, how do y'all do that?
- 15:14Speaker 4: And John be driving over there. He drove 17 hours.
- 15:17Speaker 4: He sure did.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Oh, my God. He drove. From the city. He was
- 15:21Speaker 2: just like, he went straight over there nonstop. Rushville. Rushville.
- 15:26Speaker 1: I can't live in no city that don't have at
- 15:28Speaker 1: minimum two professional teams of some sport. Three is preferable.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Can't do it. El Paso messed up, Ken.
- 15:38Speaker 3: El Paso had the Diablos was the best thing smoking.
- 15:41Speaker 3: The AAA team for the Diamondbacks was the best thing smoking. Seattle,
- 15:47Speaker 3: we had the Mariners.
- 15:48Speaker 1: We had the.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Sonics for a while. They left. Seahawks.
- 15:51Speaker 3: Now we got the Storm, Kraken. We had the Storm
- 15:54Speaker 3: for a while. Storm, Kraken, Seahawks, Mariners.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Kraken doing good, too.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Kraken be doing good.
- 15:59Speaker 2: And Seattle is just a dope city. Seattle's a great
- 16:01Speaker 2: city with character. Yeah. Even Portland has the Blazers. They
- 16:05Speaker 2: got the Fire. They got.
- 16:08Speaker 1: The women's team.
- 16:09Speaker 2: The name is this.
- 16:10Speaker 1: No, is that the Fire? The Portland Fire?
- 16:12Speaker 2: Is that the WNBA team? They have a team in Portland?
- 16:15Speaker 1: Yeah, they just got a new team. Oh, okay. I
- 16:16Speaker 1: think this is their first year. Portland has character, too, though.
- 16:19Speaker 1: It does. It's like wet Austin.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Yes. That's exactly what it is.
- 16:24Speaker 4: And there are so many local businesses in Portland.
- 16:27Speaker 2: It's insane.
- 16:28Speaker 6: Kev, they said you had the Bulls, the Blackhawks, the Bears.
- 16:31Speaker 3: Then, when I grew up, I had the Bulls, the Blackhawks,
- 16:35Speaker 3: the Bears, the Cubs, and the White Sox.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Okay? And the Sky.
- 16:39Speaker 1: And the Sky. And you got DePaul in there.
- 16:42Speaker 2: And Northwestern. Right? Watch out, man.
- 16:44Speaker 1: I'll even give you, at worst, I got to have
- 16:46Speaker 1: one huge SEC team.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Hey, Liz. I was so confused.
- 16:50Speaker 1: I thought she was gone. You got to at least
- 16:52Speaker 1: give me Alabama, Auburn, Vanderbilt, something.
- 16:55Speaker 2: At least a big college.
- 16:56Speaker 3: At least something to do. I can see myself getting
- 16:59Speaker 3: involved in Alabama.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Because Austin, Texas is cracking. Austin's perfect. You know what
- 17:03Speaker 2: I'm saying? But that college team? Yeah. When I was
- 17:06Speaker 2: there this past weekend for the game?
- 17:08Speaker 4: Yes.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Oh, it was epic. Texas is the level of a
- 17:12Speaker 2: NFL team. Darrell K.
- 17:13Speaker 3: Ross' team is 100,000 seats. They don't even have NFL
- 17:17Speaker 3: teams that host 100,000. Have you been to a game?
- 17:19Speaker 5: Yes.
- 17:20Speaker 2: Really? Yes.
- 17:21Speaker 3: Years ago, we got blasted by Iowa State when Texas sucked.
- 17:25Speaker 3: I was just like, man, I spent a lot on this.
- 17:27Speaker 3: This is when I didn't have a lot of bread.
- 17:29Speaker 3: I was like, man, I kind of saw this going different.
- 17:31Speaker 3: And Iowa State won early. It was like, first down, touchdown, touchdown, touchdown.
- 17:36Speaker 3: I was like, dang, this kind of sucks. But anyway,
- 17:41Speaker 3: so Jon Stewart, he's at a job interview, basically.
- 17:46Speaker 1: He's selling panic houses.
- 17:47Speaker 2: He's selling panic rooms underneath the ground.
- 17:50Speaker 1: No iced coffee at his interview. He knew better. He's
- 17:53Speaker 1: working with his brother. He's working with his brother.
- 17:55Speaker 3: I thought that was so good of a brother thing
- 17:58Speaker 3: that they called him Chosen.
- 17:59Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Because black people love a nickname based on something you
- 18:02Speaker 1: know the person hates.
- 18:03Speaker 2: He hates the nickname. You know black people. You trip
- 18:07Speaker 2: one time. They'll go trippy.
- 18:07Speaker 4: Chosen.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Yeah, he'll go chosen, y'all.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Chosen.
- 18:10Speaker 2: That's such a wild nickname. We're going to let you
- 18:12Speaker 2: have it.
- 18:13Speaker 4: Oh.
- 18:13Speaker 2: We're going to let your chosen have it.
- 18:14Speaker 1: And they know he don't like chosen. Hey, man.
- 18:16Speaker 2: It's tough shit. He was the chosen one, though. Tough
- 18:20Speaker 2: shit apples on your head. But the thing.
- 18:22Speaker 1: Hey, don't go applesauce over here.
- 18:24Speaker 2: They go big months. William Tell. Right.
- 18:27Speaker 5: Right.
- 18:28Speaker 2: What's it say? Isaac Newton.
- 18:29Speaker 1: Isaac Newton.
- 18:30Speaker 2: Are you leaving, Liz? Okay, bye. Bye-bye.
- 18:37Speaker 3: So, yeah, he's working with his brother, and they're basically like, okay,
- 18:40Speaker 3: we're right here on the big deal.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Millions of dollars on the table.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Sold him on the sales pitch.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Sold him on the pitch. We just got to talk
- 18:47Speaker 1: to the colonel.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Talk to the colonel.
- 18:48Speaker 3: And lo and behold. Hal Jordan calls. Actually, his mom calls.
- 18:53Speaker 3: His mom calls.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Mom calls Bernadette.
- 18:55Speaker 2: What's up, Bernadette? Calling his mom Bernadette now?
- 18:58Speaker 1: That's what I said. In black culture?
- 19:01Speaker 2: That's insane. Got her saved in the phone as Bernadette.
- 19:04Speaker 2: What happened? Calling your mom Bernadette.
- 19:07Speaker 6: Even with the bad relationship.
- 19:09Speaker 1: With the bad relationship in the black community.
- 19:10Speaker 2: There's still going to be mom in the phone.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Mom. At minimum.
- 19:13Speaker 5: And you're still, even if it's Bernadette, you're not answering
- 19:16Speaker 5: as Bernadette. Nah, Bernadette is crazy.
- 19:22Speaker 2: I cringed. Yeah, I was like, ooh. I said, oh,
- 19:24Speaker 2: what happened?
- 19:25Speaker 4: I was like, is this a Bernadette he met later
- 19:27Speaker 4: in life and he just happens to have the same
- 19:29Speaker 4: name as his mom? Like it was a girl he
- 19:31Speaker 4: was dealing with? Is that what's going on?
- 19:34Speaker 1: His mom's name is Bernadette.
- 19:37Speaker 2: He called her Big Debt.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Big Debt. Bernie. Bernadette calls.
- 19:42Speaker 3: Hey, Hal Jordan wants to apologize.
- 19:44Speaker 1: He sits down for coffee with Hal Jordan. You been
- 19:46Speaker 1: talking to Hal Jordan?
- 19:48Speaker 2: Man, pissed. He was big fit.
- 19:50Speaker 4: You been talking to Hal Jordan? He had me sitting
- 19:53Speaker 4: in the car crispy.
- 19:55Speaker 1: He burnt my meat off.
- 19:57Speaker 3: How mad are you if some nigga burns you up
- 20:00Speaker 3: and you get new skin that day? Like, you mad,
- 20:04Speaker 3: but it's like, he didn't even go a day extra crispy.
- 20:08Speaker 2: But I had to feel the crisp. I did have
- 20:10Speaker 2: to burn. I had to burn alive.
- 20:12Speaker 1: And you did not actually feel me. The coochie that
- 20:15Speaker 1: healed me, I had to murder her.
- 20:16Speaker 2: I had to kill her.
- 20:17Speaker 3: Blood in my eye. Many men wish death upon me.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Shoot my best eater. You're responsible for both of these things.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Now, to be fair, Hal didn't leave him in the
- 20:26Speaker 2: burning car.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Fair, but Hal crashed him.
- 20:30Speaker 2: He crashed him for sure, but he's done that before.
- 20:32Speaker 1: But he didn't factor in the fire.
- 20:36Speaker 3: But that's like Iron Man being like, well, Bucky didn't
- 20:39Speaker 3: know that that was my parents. He was under mind control.
- 20:42Speaker 3: You killed my mom and dad. I'm not trying to
- 20:43Speaker 3: get into the particulars. I burnt because you jumped out
- 20:46Speaker 3: the car on me.
- 20:47Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 20:48Speaker 1: If you ain't jump out the car, I'm not Bernie McBurnison.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Weekend at Bernie's.
- 20:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not weekend at Bernie's.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:54Speaker 1: So they big beefing.
- 20:56Speaker 2: For sure.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Over the best coffee in town.
- 21:00Speaker 2: And then... Best coffee in the county.
- 21:03Speaker 1: You know you in the small town. They say county.
- 21:05Speaker 1: They go county.
- 21:06Speaker 4: That's how you can tell when somebody is from a
- 21:08Speaker 4: small place. Where you from?
- 21:10Speaker 2: Texas. Lackawanna County. Outside of... About 150 miles south of Houston.
- 21:18Speaker 3: Anytime you go south of the city that I know,
- 21:20Speaker 3: I know you live in a small town.
- 21:22Speaker 2: You ashamed of your little town? Just say the town.
- 21:24Speaker 1: I'm from Beaumont, Texas.
- 21:25Speaker 2: I'm from Muleshoe, Texas. Just say it. Just say Muleshoe, Texas,
- 21:31Speaker 2: so I can clown that. Let me clown that. New Braunfels.
- 21:36Speaker 2: That's near Austin, Texas. That's hilarious.
- 21:39Speaker 3: So they beefing, it's very clear Hal Jordan's not gonna apologize.
- 21:44Speaker 3: He was like, he almost said, nigga, what? What the
- 21:47Speaker 3: hell you talking about, apologize? And the crazy thing is,
- 21:50Speaker 3: John knew that. When he was talking to his mom,
- 21:52Speaker 3: he's like, Hal Jordan, not the type to apologize. So
- 21:55Speaker 3: obviously Bernadette has told them both. My question to you,
- 21:58Speaker 3: why do you think Is he mad at his mom
- 22:00Speaker 3: because of the riff because he didn't want the ring?
- 22:03Speaker 2: Probably.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Has to be, right?
- 22:04Speaker 2: I'm sure she blew up on him.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Because his parents' relationship is fractured.
- 22:08Speaker 4: We did all this for you and preps for you
- 22:10Speaker 4: to get the Green Lantern ring, and then you just
- 22:12Speaker 4: turn it in?
- 22:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:14Speaker 4: First of all, you know what I'm saying? Y'all kind
- 22:16Speaker 4: of forced this upon me. Yeah, I agreed to it,
- 22:18Speaker 4: but y'all still was like, y'all thrusting on me, even
- 22:21Speaker 4: before I could make my own decisions, y'all were like,
- 22:24Speaker 4: this is your path. Which is a conflict that a
- 22:27Speaker 4: lot of kids have with their parents anyway. And so
- 22:29Speaker 4: I'm sure they came to a head when he turned
- 22:32Speaker 4: that ring in, and I'm sure Bernadette was like, oh no,
- 22:35Speaker 4: the fuck, you didn't.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Not after you shot an apple off my head.
- 22:37Speaker 4: Right.
- 22:37Speaker 1: And I said, no, you. Remember you said that?
- 22:39Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 22:40Speaker 1: I'll go get your dad.
- 22:41Speaker 2: No, you. Right.
- 22:42Speaker 3: And now you don't even want the job that we
- 22:44Speaker 3: trained you for? You want to take iced coffee to
- 22:46Speaker 3: the interview?
- 22:47Speaker 2: So they was giving him brief, and then Pops got
- 22:49Speaker 2: a side with the mom. For sure.
- 22:51Speaker 4: So it was just like, fuck both of y'all. Bernadette
- 22:54Speaker 4: and him. That's how they saved him the phone. Bernadette
- 22:57Speaker 4: and him. Y'all need to be happy. I'm semi-working with
- 23:03Speaker 4: my brothers again.
- 23:04Speaker 2: Literally.
- 23:05Speaker 3: Literally, when he, the blackest thing Lanterns did ever, and
- 23:10Speaker 3: I ain't seen, nor ever would I have thought a
- 23:13Speaker 3: DC or Marvel show would get the nuance of blackness
- 23:16Speaker 3: than almost calling.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Your brother a nigga. Oh yeah, he was right there.
- 23:19Speaker 1: That, Nick, I said that.
- 23:21Speaker 2: And I felt him in the moment. That was so black.
- 23:23Speaker 2: I felt him in the moment. That's blacker than just
- 23:25Speaker 2: saying nigga. Nigga, just do it. Nick, alright.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Because now, I'm black and pissed.
- 23:33Speaker 3: That's why we allow Aaron Pierre's accent slips.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Because he's delivering 99.98. You can get a speak up.
- 23:42Speaker 2: Yeah. If you deliver.
- 23:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Do I?
- 23:45Speaker 1: Because your nigga's trying to be a rapper.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:48Speaker 1: And you argue with me and I pay for the album.
- 23:50Speaker 2: I pay for the album. I pay for the album.
- 23:52Speaker 5: At a time like this, when your father is, I mean,
- 23:55Speaker 5: also his relationship is, That thing went out the window
- 23:58Speaker 5: too because the first time they called me, he's like, no,
- 24:00Speaker 5: don't even put him on the phone.
- 24:00Speaker 6: I'm done here.
- 24:01Speaker 1: I'm out of here. You talking about a rapper. We
- 24:03Speaker 1: are all in our thirties because they're his older brothers.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Right.
- 24:07Speaker 1: So you might be pushing 40 and you rapping. You
- 24:09Speaker 1: don't want to pick your dad up because you're the student.
- 24:13Speaker 4: Nick.
- 24:13Speaker 2: All right. That Nick was earned. That Nick was earned.
- 24:18Speaker 2: It was earned.
- 24:19Speaker 4: While they were having that conversation. I was responding like,
- 24:24Speaker 4: I was like, Nick, just.
- 24:25Speaker 2: Literally. I was saying that to myself. To myself.
- 24:29Speaker 1: My toes are curling up. Because why am I repeating myself?
- 24:32Speaker 1: I'm financing the album. I did all the stuff.
- 24:34Speaker 2: Go pick that up and shut the hell up. Nick, Nick.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Because if I smack you. I'm wrong.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Right.
- 24:41Speaker 1: Okay, then don't call me ever again.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Right. Well, what time you want me to go pick
- 24:44Speaker 2: you up?
- 24:45Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Now people need to know the address.
- 24:48Speaker 2: Now you want the Addy.
- 24:49Speaker 1: Now you need the Addy when I said I'm not
- 24:50Speaker 1: paying for those stupid... And I know his bars is trash.
- 24:53Speaker 1: You know his bars is trash. I know his bars
- 24:55Speaker 1: is chosen.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Chosen.
- 24:56Speaker 1: My brother never loved me. Apples in the driveway. Niggas
- 24:58Speaker 1: try to serve me. Trash.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Applesauce.
- 25:04Speaker 1: My mom got shocked, made applesauce. Shut up, man. Stop
- 25:08Speaker 1: rapping about me.
- 25:10Speaker 2: My parents love my brother more than me. My other brother,
- 25:13Speaker 2: we had to bond. He was chosen. Green Lanterns, but
- 25:16Speaker 2: I can't see.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Dark, dark for my history. Nigga, she got up.
- 25:21Speaker 2: Chosen. Pick. Chosen. Reverb that. We're going to stack the
- 25:26Speaker 2: vocals on that.
- 25:27Speaker 1: Chosen.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Chosen. Shut the hell up, dog. Shut the hell up.
- 25:33Speaker 3: I know it's trash on SoundCloud. New single out, y'all.
- 25:36Speaker 3: Tap the link in my bio.
- 25:37Speaker 2: Chosen, y'all.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Gotta pick my dad up. My dad up. He never
- 25:41Speaker 1: shot at me. I wish he did. He never noticed me. Chosen.
- 25:46Speaker 2: Chosen. Chosen. Chosen. Green Lantern. They put me in the mix. F.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Hal Jordan. Also.
- 25:54Speaker 4: He got a song called Hal Jordan. Number eight on
- 25:57Speaker 4: the EP. Hal Jordan. This is Hal Jordan.
- 26:05Speaker 2: All right. So, anyway, this is what I wanted to
- 26:09Speaker 2: ask you. Yeah. What up, y'all?

- 27:47Speaker 3: coming into Rushville.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Yeah. Who shot Hal.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Jordan, Tone? Where do you begin?
- 27:54Speaker 2: Right.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Don't tell him the theory yet, Josh. No, no, no.
- 27:57Speaker 5: Before we get to that, I do want to highlight
- 27:59Speaker 5: a quotable that Jon Stewart had against Guy when he said,
- 28:04Speaker 5: everything you have is because I didn't take it.
- 28:06Speaker 2: Bar.
- 28:06Speaker 4: Bar.
- 28:08Speaker 3: Not only did he bar him up, Josh, Guy was like,
- 28:12Speaker 3: I mean, Guy had no rebuttal.
- 28:15Speaker 1: Next scene, uniform and ring.
- 28:18Speaker 3: With the bow haircut. Everything you have is because I
- 28:21Speaker 3: didn't take it and I'm in jail?
- 28:23Speaker 2: True, true.
- 28:25Speaker 1: You right?
- 28:26Speaker 3: I was an athletic director. He could have said, nigga,
- 28:31Speaker 3: get the suit and the ring. Go get the suit
- 28:33Speaker 3: and the ring and shut the hell up.
- 28:35Speaker 1: Stop talking to me.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Alright, go ahead. Sorry.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Good point. Thank you for bringing that up.
- 28:40Speaker 5: I was trying to throw it in earlier, but then
- 28:42Speaker 5: I saw you started going to detective mode, so I
- 28:44Speaker 5: didn't want to.
- 28:44Speaker 2: Cut that out.
- 28:45Speaker 1: I want to know where you start.
- 28:49Speaker 2: I don't, man. Because for one, I still don't think
- 28:54Speaker 2: it's Hal Jordan. For one. You think it's a sentry?
- 28:58Speaker 2: I don't think it's a sentry, but a clone.
- 29:00Speaker 5: I feel like there was something off the way he
- 29:03Speaker 5: brought his sentry.
- 29:04Speaker 1: Out With the ring spark?
- 29:06Speaker 5: With the ring spark, not at the burial scene, but
- 29:09Speaker 5: the episode before that.
- 29:11Speaker 6: And then we never saw this entry again.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Oh, when he had it, go look for the Manhunter.
- 29:15Speaker 1: When he had it at the water tower?
- 29:17Speaker 4: Yes.
- 29:18Speaker 1: When they were talking on the water, he flicked it
- 29:19Speaker 1: and you never saw him again.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:22Speaker 3: Do you think there's multiple of those? Or is it
- 29:24Speaker 3: just one backup? You know, iCloud has multiple backups from
- 29:28Speaker 3: two days ago, from a week ago. Is that just
- 29:30Speaker 3: the one from two days ago?
- 29:33Speaker 4: I don't, here's the thing though, are sentries... Can they
- 29:38Speaker 4: be touched?
- 29:41Speaker 1: That's what I don't understand.
- 29:42Speaker 2: That's what I'm thinking. It's a clone rather than a sentry.
- 29:45Speaker 3: Because in the next episode, they hinted that the sentry's voice...
- 29:49Speaker 3: opens that space box. So that had to trigger as
- 29:52Speaker 3: a live, because he said this voice has to be live.
- 29:55Speaker 2: Don't open it again. He played the voice notes. Man,
- 29:59Speaker 2: watch out!
- 30:00Speaker 4: They let that long recording play. You should talk about nothing, man.
- 30:04Speaker 4: I know that's a recording, man. It has to be
- 30:05Speaker 4: a live voice. If you try again, the shit's going.
- 30:09Speaker 2: To be over.
- 30:10Speaker 1: The boss had an attitude.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not going to email you a password change.
- 30:15Speaker 2: None of that. If you try one more time... I'm trying.
- 30:18Speaker 5: To remember, did John ever shake hands or anything with
- 30:22Speaker 5: the one in the street from the first episode?
- 30:24Speaker 2: Never touched. No, they never touched.
- 30:25Speaker 1: They never touched ever, and I thought about that too.
- 30:28Speaker 6: And then they didn't run into each other again, did they?
- 30:31Speaker 2: No.
- 30:32Speaker 1: We saw it with Hal Jordan, but I don't think
- 30:33Speaker 1: we ever saw it with John.
- 30:36Speaker 2: He just seemed a bit weird at the cafe. Hal?
- 30:40Speaker 2: Hal did. Yeah, he did.
- 30:41Speaker 6: He seemed like a completely different version of himself.
- 30:43Speaker 2: Yeah, it was weird.
- 30:43Speaker 1: Especially when he was scared. And when he responded to
- 30:46Speaker 1: him when.
- 30:46Speaker 2: He was on his way out.
- 30:46Speaker 6: And then he was telling people not to, then he
- 30:48Speaker 6: was telling them don't repeat it.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Yes. He was like, don't tell anybody. It wasn't Hal
- 30:53Speaker 2: at all. Yes. And I was just like.
- 30:56Speaker 1: So you don't think Hal Jordan's dead?
- 30:58Speaker 2: Not really. Because they had a funeral. I don't think
- 31:00Speaker 2: he's dead.
- 31:01Speaker 5: Well, because also old boy got broken out.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Who?
- 31:04Speaker 2: Sinestro. Sinestro. Yeah. Yeah.
- 31:07Speaker 1: That makes you think Hal Jordan did it.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Well, I don't know who else would have. That's his boy.
- 31:11Speaker 3: That's Hal Jordan's boy. Because he's the only one visiting
- 31:14Speaker 3: him on Spaz Caban.
- 31:16Speaker 6: And can the Sentry still be activated?
- 31:19Speaker 2: But how could Hal have gotten them out if he
- 31:22Speaker 2: didn't have the ring?
- 31:24Speaker 6: I think the ring was... Wasn't it there?
- 31:27Speaker 2: No, they made it seem like it was confiscated. I
- 31:30Speaker 2: thought the ring was... I thought whenever he turned it in... Uh-huh.
- 31:36Speaker 2: They had it. The Guardians?
- 31:39Speaker 6: I thought that they locked it up.
- 31:40Speaker 2: I could have missed it. That's why I thought it
- 31:42Speaker 2: was sealed up.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Decommissioned?
- 31:43Speaker 6: And I would assume it's that Space Command.
- 31:45Speaker 2: So how would Hal get there without the ring?
- 31:48Speaker 1: That's what I don't know. And me and Josh were
- 31:51Speaker 1: talking about this earlier.
- 31:51Speaker 3: Did decommission to you mean the Landers took the power
- 31:55Speaker 3: away or it's just locked it up?
- 31:58Speaker 1: I think it was just locked up. Okay, see, Josh
- 32:00Speaker 1: thought it meant... Oh, you said that too.
- 32:02Speaker 2: I said it was locked up. Yeah, I think it
- 32:04Speaker 2: was just locked up.
- 32:04Speaker 3: So the ring can't be turned on and turned off
- 32:06Speaker 3: by the Guardians. So when John sparked that thing up,
- 32:08Speaker 3: he could have.
- 32:09Speaker 2: He sparked it up quick.
- 32:10Speaker 3: Yeah, you think if he charged it, he could have
- 32:12Speaker 3: been darkest day and blackest night and all that stuff?
- 32:14Speaker 4: I think if he had a lantern there to charge it,
- 32:16Speaker 4: he'd have been up and running.
- 32:18Speaker 1: Now, are the lanterns USB-C? Or do you have to have.
- 32:22Speaker 2: Are they solar? Because I don't know how... What charges
- 32:25Speaker 2: a lantern?
- 32:26Speaker 1: How do you charge the charger?
- 32:29Speaker 2: Right, right.
- 32:29Speaker 1: What if the lantern ain't been plugged in on Oa?
- 32:32Speaker 1: Now you got a dead lantern. Are these things eternal?
- 32:35Speaker 1: Are they solar? How long are they lasting? This is
- 32:39Speaker 1: what happens when you don't read the comics. I don't
- 32:41Speaker 1: know how the lantern works. Where is the lantern, Josh?
- 32:47Speaker 1: So back to who shot Hal Jordan.
- 32:49Speaker 2: I don't know, man.
- 32:50Speaker 3: I'm going to tell you what I think. This is
- 32:53Speaker 3: what I told Josh. The only people it makes sense
- 32:56Speaker 3: to me, and this is based on TV, not any knowledge.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Sheriff?
- 33:01Speaker 2: The sheriff is a suspect.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Billy or Noah?
- 33:04Speaker 3: It is a cop-out to introduce a new character that
- 33:06Speaker 3: hasn't been seen.
- 33:08Speaker 2: Which one is Billy? Billy is her husband. He got
- 33:11Speaker 2: socked out with all the other- It wasn't him.
- 33:13Speaker 1: I don't think it was him either. These are only
- 33:14Speaker 1: the suspects.
- 33:15Speaker 2: It's either going to be the kid- or the sheriff.
- 33:17Speaker 1: That's all I think it had. We only have two
- 33:19Speaker 1: episodes left.
- 33:20Speaker 6: Those are the only two people that I don't think
- 33:22Speaker 6: he would fight back on either.
- 33:23Speaker 2: That's what I said too. Because the way that.
- 33:28Speaker 3: The coroner was talking, he was like, he didn't fight
- 33:30Speaker 3: back except whoever broke his nose.
- 33:31Speaker 1: That was such a funny running thing. Somebody broke his nose.
- 33:35Speaker 2: He put his hands in his pocket. I don't know.
- 33:38Speaker 3: They were like, no, clearly, if we could just find
- 33:41Speaker 3: the blood on the person's head.
- 33:42Speaker 1: He was like, I don't know who.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Broke his nose. That's crazy.
- 33:46Speaker 1: They probably didn't shoot him, though.
- 33:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:48Speaker 2: You know what I mean? These are two.
- 33:49Speaker 3: How many hours would you say separated the broken nose from.
- 33:53Speaker 1: The bullet fragments?
- 33:54Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying? Because all I.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Whoever sought him, anybody could... The whole town hated him.
- 33:59Speaker 5: And then another thing for me, too, that's not really
- 34:01Speaker 5: believable is the blackmail from the waitress.
- 34:04Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Man, that came out of nowhere. Yeah. I don't...
- 34:09Speaker 2: What is the... I don't know what's the game from that.
- 34:12Speaker 2: She just wants money. She wants money.
- 34:15Speaker 4: She knows that John Stewart was talking to Hal shortly
- 34:20Speaker 4: before his death, so she got something on him.
- 34:22Speaker 2: So she can be like, I need that bread.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Oh, to pin the murder on him.
- 34:26Speaker 4: Yeah, because now I can give you a world of
- 34:28Speaker 4: shit just by saying, no, John Stewart and Hal Jordan
- 34:31Speaker 4: were talking in the cafe at this time.
- 34:34Speaker 1: And he punched him.
- 34:35Speaker 2: And I saw him punch him.
- 34:36Speaker 3: That's enough evidence to be like, and the town hates
- 34:39Speaker 3: him because he's black.
- 34:40Speaker 2: He's black and a lantern man stringy mug. So John
- 34:44Speaker 2: is like, let me just.
- 34:47Speaker 1: Also, just a quick aside.
- 34:49Speaker 2: Reparations. Reparations is crazy.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Oh, that's strong.
- 34:55Speaker 2: In the black conversation. She chose the word reparations on purpose.
- 35:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:02Speaker 3: You know reparations. I was like, oh, you dirty. She
- 35:06Speaker 3: look like your girl from Ozark.
- 35:08Speaker 2: She do. She remind me of her.
- 35:10Speaker 3: She look like a prettier, taller version of Ruth.
- 35:13Speaker 2: No disrespect, Ruth. No disrespect, but I know exactly what
- 35:15Speaker 2: you mean. Yeah, I was like, okay. I felt the
- 35:17Speaker 2: same way.
- 35:17Speaker 1: Like Ruth if she had a little rock band.
- 35:19Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying?
- 35:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:20Speaker 2: You feel me? You feel me? But yeah.
- 35:23Speaker 3: So I'm like, oh, that's why I feel like if
- 35:26Speaker 3: the white people would get off woke, you could actually
- 35:28Speaker 3: understand the nuance of this show.
- 35:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:31Speaker 3: It's not black power, black power, black power. It's the
- 35:34Speaker 3: nuance of race in America. Black people understand race in
- 35:37Speaker 3: America better than anybody. Way better than white people, better
- 35:39Speaker 3: than any other immigrant. We are ingrained into it. We
- 35:42Speaker 3: can tell your white story. Black people, in order to
- 35:45Speaker 3: survive in white America, had to know white people better
- 35:47Speaker 3: than white people knew white people.
- 35:49Speaker 1: They had to know your tendencies, your stuff. We was
- 35:51Speaker 1: raising your kids. And you could kill us.
- 35:53Speaker 2: We was entrenched in your very lives. We was entrenched. Inseparable.
- 35:58Speaker 1: We know the moods.
- 35:58Speaker 2: We know the patterns. We know all of that.
- 36:00Speaker 1: The white kids didn't even listen to their own parents.
- 36:02Speaker 1: Some of them were breastfeeding white children.
- 36:05Speaker 2: Right.
- 36:06Speaker 1: That's ingrained in black people.
- 36:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:08Speaker 3: One of the reasons somebody said this, I don't know,
- 36:10Speaker 3: could be true. When I made that video about white
- 36:12Speaker 3: people not walking, not taking their part, moving 50% away
- 36:16Speaker 3: in the sidewalks, They're like, yeah, because white people run America.
- 36:19Speaker 3: It's ingrained.
- 36:21Speaker 2: You should move for me. And black people, you know,
- 36:23Speaker 2: we sick of that. We not moving.
- 36:26Speaker 1: We not moving. And what you finna do?
- 36:28Speaker 2: We not moving.
- 36:29Speaker 1: So when John socked out them white, when Billy counted
- 36:33Speaker 1: and John finished three, how.
- 36:35Speaker 2: You go five on one, all y'all end up... And
- 36:38Speaker 2: Jon Stewart look like his punches hurt. And then go
- 36:41Speaker 2: and snitch about it. Yeah, why you gonna go tell?
- 36:44Speaker 2: That's lame.
- 36:45Speaker 5: They was like, You jumped my ex? First of all,
- 36:51Speaker 5: how crazy does that sound?
- 36:53Speaker 3: And Vince picked up the beer, Joshy. Picked up the
- 36:56Speaker 3: beer and still got the meatloaf. Actually, I already had
- 36:58Speaker 3: the beer.
- 36:58Speaker 2: Right, the beer was in the car.
- 36:59Speaker 1: Beer was in the car. I saw your dude out.
- 37:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:02Speaker 1: And I came to eat meatloaf. Y'all ain't together?
- 37:05Speaker 4: What the hell you talking about? You know him better
- 37:08Speaker 4: than I do. You know he started it.
- 37:11Speaker 2: And I finished it.
- 37:12Speaker 1: Gun to your head, Tony Baker. Who shot Al Jordan?
- 37:17Speaker 2: The sheriff.
- 37:18Speaker 1: I shot the sheriff.
- 37:20Speaker 2: It's the sheriff or the kid.
- 37:23Speaker 1: So, okay.
- 37:24Speaker 4: It's probably going to be the kid. The kid is
- 37:27Speaker 4: being weird. He's being too cool for school. He's being
- 37:30Speaker 4: too cool, too nice with John. So I'm leaving the kid.
- 37:35Speaker 1: This is my guess. My guess is the sheriff to
- 37:38Speaker 1: protect the kid.
- 37:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:39Speaker 1: Me and Josh was talking about this.
- 37:41Speaker 3: There's a theory that the baby's a manhunter, but I
- 37:45Speaker 3: don't know how that happens. I thought there was one manhunter.
- 37:47Speaker 3: They're like, no, there could be more. I'm like, can
- 37:49Speaker 3: they be born?
- 37:50Speaker 2: I don't know if the kid knows he's a manhunter,
- 37:53Speaker 2: if he is one.
- 37:54Speaker 1: Do you know from the comics what?
- 37:56Speaker 2: I don't.
- 37:56Speaker 3: I don't know a lot about Green Lantern. Okay, I
- 37:59Speaker 3: know nothing that's not in this movie or this show.
- 38:01Speaker 2: I'm invested now, though.
- 38:02Speaker 1: Because they said your girl, what was her name?
- 38:07Speaker 2: The Manhunter.
- 38:07Speaker 1: I can't remember her name. Zoe or something? Sure.
- 38:10Speaker 2: Zoe, the one you shot in the head? Yeah. I
- 38:12Speaker 2: think so.
- 38:12Speaker 1: Was it Zoe?
- 38:14Speaker 2: They said he was her grandma. Right.
- 38:17Speaker 1: But they never said who his, they, so Billy would
- 38:21Speaker 1: be his dad.
- 38:22Speaker 4: Right.
- 38:22Speaker 2: Who's the mother? The sheriff. The sheriff is the mom.
- 38:25Speaker 3: Sheriff's the mom. So if he's a Manhunter, parental protection.
- 38:29Speaker 2: So she's grandmother by marriage?
- 38:32Speaker 1: By marriage.
- 38:33Speaker 2: Okay.
- 38:34Speaker 1: No way, because that's Billy's dad.
- 38:36Speaker 2: Billy's dad always seemed too young to me.
- 38:39Speaker 1: Casting-wise?
- 38:40Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What kind of casting is this?
- 38:43Speaker 2: The whole... Oh, Jay Friedian said, she said, no, remember
- 38:47Speaker 2: everything I taught you.
- 38:48Speaker 6: And that was my thing, too, because I felt like.
- 38:51Speaker 1: Your grandma's the baby.
- 38:52Speaker 2: It might have been like....
- 38:54Speaker 5: Like a, you protect the baby, I'll protect you thing
- 38:58Speaker 5: from the Manhunter in a conversation that we don't know
- 39:01Speaker 5: about yet. Back from when Zoe took in the sheriff. Like,
- 39:09Speaker 5: there's going to be another baby, protect them at all costs.
- 39:11Speaker 3: Okay, Patreon's saying the sheriff did say the Manhunter gave
- 39:14Speaker 3: her a miracle. I assume that was her saving her
- 39:18Speaker 3: from the dudes from Gotham that chased her there.
- 39:20Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I forgot about that.
- 39:22Speaker 1: The miracle could be- The miracle's the baby. The grandma
- 39:25Speaker 1: is the baby.
- 39:25Speaker 2: The grandma's the baby.
- 39:27Speaker 1: So maybe he's Manhunter material.
- 39:29Speaker 2: I don't think he knows it, though. He might not.
- 39:34Speaker 5: No, he might, because if she told him, remember what
- 39:38Speaker 5: I taught you, remember everything that I taught you, there's
- 39:41Speaker 5: got to be something instilled of, like, you're special.
- 39:43Speaker 2: You're not one of them. Because the camera was holding
- 39:45Speaker 2: onto him too much in every scene.
- 39:48Speaker 1: Every time, there was, like, no one.
- 39:50Speaker 2: I was like, man, why.
- 39:51Speaker 4: Y'all... That whole conversation of, you want to be a senator?
- 39:55Speaker 4: You want to go into politics?
- 39:56Speaker 2: Every time. And then he coming over to bring in
- 39:58Speaker 2: the suit for the funeral. I love politics. It is
- 40:01Speaker 2: just like... Yes.
- 40:03Speaker 1: But that I thought maybe Zoe.
- 40:04Speaker 3: I mean, maybe the sheriff's throwing the man Hunter Coochie
- 40:07Speaker 3: on Hal.
- 40:08Speaker 1: That's why he was.
- 40:11Speaker 6: Buttercup, Buttercup.
- 40:11Speaker 2: Buttercup, Buttercup.
- 40:13Speaker 1: He had Coochie on his nose. He was Monterey Jack.
- 40:16Speaker 2: Jeez.
- 40:17Speaker 3: Hal Jordan never showed that much interest in nothing. So
- 40:19Speaker 3: I thought maybe she had Manhunter Coochie. But that could
- 40:21Speaker 3: have been just regular because women, you don't got to
- 40:23Speaker 3: be Manhunter to throw that Coochie on a man.
- 40:25Speaker 2: Especially in Rushville.
- 40:26Speaker 1: Rushville.
- 40:27Speaker 2: Coochie hard to come by in Rushville.
- 40:29Speaker 1: Yeah, it is.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Coochie hard to come by. That's the reparations they should
- 40:34Speaker 2: be after. That's the best Coochie in two counties.
- 40:39Speaker 1: It got to be the sheriff.
- 40:40Speaker 3: Because she was so torn up about how nobody else
- 40:43Speaker 3: in the whole town cared. That's what was so funny.
- 40:46Speaker 3: Reading Hal Jordan's obituary. Dignitary senators.
- 40:50Speaker 1: Man, all y'all came in.
- 40:52Speaker 2: President, first lady.
- 40:53Speaker 1: President, and bro, nobody is here.
- 40:56Speaker 2: It was his ex and them two. They said.
- 41:00Speaker 1: cremate him and flush him down the toilet.
- 41:02Speaker 2: I was like, dang.
- 41:05Speaker 1: I don't give a damn about no house, Jordan.
- 41:07Speaker 2: She was right in front of the shed, man. Fuck
- 41:10Speaker 2: this dude. She was like, she crying holding the little remains.
- 41:16Speaker 2: They didn't give a damn. They don't care about no house.
- 41:19Speaker 3: But Hal Jordan destroyed the city. And that's the thing
- 41:23Speaker 3: that I thought was interesting. When John and Hal Jordan
- 41:25Speaker 3: were talking, it's like they were trying to assess blame
- 41:31Speaker 3: Like we both did some killing. I'm like, are we
- 41:32Speaker 3: still talking about the last episode?
- 41:35Speaker 2: Did y'all do something else?
- 41:36Speaker 4: Right.
- 41:37Speaker 2: I know.
- 41:37Speaker 1: Cause they didn't actually kill anybody.
- 41:39Speaker 2: Right. They, they, I think John did.
- 41:42Speaker 1: Who did he kill? Oh, well, yeah, but he tripping
- 41:47Speaker 1: on that.
- 41:47Speaker 2: No, I mean, they weren't.
- 41:49Speaker 6: Talking about the casualties, just being responsible.
- 41:52Speaker 2: Yeah. That's what I was assuming. And what did he
- 41:54Speaker 2: serve 10 years for exactly?
- 41:59Speaker 1: Being collateral damage from.
- 42:01Speaker 5: The liable by not by choosing to go after the
- 42:06Speaker 5: Manhunter instead of saving the people.
- 42:08Speaker 2: I don't know. Yeah. I'm like, what are they?
- 42:10Speaker 6: I didn't fully understand the sentence.
- 42:12Speaker 5: And then when the athletic director visited him in jail,
- 42:16Speaker 5: Oh God, Gardner. Um, like there's so much chunks that
- 42:21Speaker 5: they just leave empty and they're going to show us later.
- 42:24Speaker 6: I feel like it.
- 42:25Speaker 2: Just, hopefully.
- 42:26Speaker 1: Yeah, they have to.
- 42:28Speaker 2: I like how they keep making reference to Batman.
- 42:30Speaker 1: Me too.
- 42:31Speaker 3: They keep throwing that in. They just like, you know,
- 42:33Speaker 3: the guy from Gotham. They talk about him like they
- 42:36Speaker 3: can't say Batman, even though it's a DC show.
- 42:38Speaker 6: Even Metropolis with no Superman.
- 42:40Speaker 2: I know. That was cool too. All the references.
- 42:42Speaker 3: I'm telling you, when the show don't have access to
- 42:44Speaker 3: the main superheroes, they got to rely on a good
- 42:46Speaker 3: story to make it.
- 42:47Speaker 2: This reminds me of the early Marvel.
- 42:48Speaker 3: They said, we ain't got X-Men. We ain't got Spider-Man.
- 42:51Speaker 3: We ain't got none of this stuff. We got Iron Man, Thor, Black,
- 42:55Speaker 3: all the stuff nobody cared about. So we got to
- 42:58Speaker 3: go good story.
- 42:59Speaker 2: Good story.
- 42:59Speaker 3: Because niggas did not have Iron Man toys. I was
- 43:02Speaker 3: not watching Iron Man cartoons. I was watching X-Men. I
- 43:05Speaker 3: was watching Spider-Man.
- 43:07Speaker 2: Iron Man was B-tier. He was B-tier. He did have
- 43:10Speaker 2: a cartoon. He had a couple cartoons. Did he? Yeah,
- 43:13Speaker 2: he had Iron Man from back in the day. Amazing armor.
- 43:17Speaker 1: He's Iron Man.
- 43:19Speaker 2: Back in the day. It was Thor. It was Iron Man.
- 43:22Speaker 4: But they weren't as popular as the Hulk and Spider-Man
- 43:25Speaker 4: and his Amazing Friends and.
- 43:26Speaker 2: Stuff like that.
- 43:27Speaker 4: So then, fast forward, when you had Spider-Man on Fox,
- 43:31Speaker 4: the radioactive Spider-Man.
- 43:33Speaker 2: And the X-Men. Iron Man also had a cartoon, too.
- 43:37Speaker 2: I don't remember.
- 43:38Speaker 1: I never saw this in my life.
- 43:40Speaker 2: Nobody in school was like, you seen that Iron Man, y'all?
- 43:42Speaker 2: He's always been right beneath... Spider-Man, the X-Men have always
- 43:47Speaker 2: been the main fixtures. For sure. And then, you know
- 43:50Speaker 2: what I'm saying, Captain America was popular, Thor.
- 43:53Speaker 1: I remember Captain America and Thor. Yeah. But Iron Man
- 43:55Speaker 1: was like.
- 43:56Speaker 2: Yeah, he was right there, but it wasn't like, man,
- 43:58Speaker 2: Iron Man, yo. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But he was known. Yeah, yeah.
- 44:02Speaker 2: But the movie definitely elevated Iron Man.
- 44:07Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 44:07Speaker 1: Jay Friedrich, you were right. How was the reason she
- 44:09Speaker 1: bombed the town?
- 44:10Speaker 3: I feel like they could have got to him earlier
- 44:14Speaker 3: if John would have been honest. But John and Hal
- 44:16Speaker 3: Jordan beefing is what allowed the Manhunter to go full,
- 44:20Speaker 3: I'll destroy everybody. But they're not blaming her for it.
- 44:22Speaker 3: She did it. You know what I'm saying? But Hal
- 44:25Speaker 3: Jordan's easy to blame. All right, anything else before we
- 44:27Speaker 3: move on, Tone?
- 44:28Speaker 4: I did like Hal. I just like John's development as
- 44:33Speaker 4: a character in that time.
- 44:35Speaker 2: Since the last episode. Goatee Green Lantern. Goatee Green Lantern.
- 44:39Speaker 2: He's all about this. They still... there's a fear element
- 44:42Speaker 2: that they keep touching on with the main character.
- 44:45Speaker 4: With John and how he's like, my whole business is fear-driven,
- 44:50Speaker 4: you know, panic rooms.
- 44:51Speaker 2: They don't even need the panic rooms. They just feel
- 44:52Speaker 2: better about it. And then the.
- 44:54Speaker 4: Fear that Hal had, the fear that Hal had living
- 44:59Speaker 4: in that town with the booby traps, with the shotgun,
- 45:02Speaker 4: with the, you know what I'm saying?
- 45:03Speaker 2: So fear is becoming an element. And the title screen
- 45:07Speaker 2: is turning yellow. Sinestro is busted out.
- 45:09Speaker 4: Yep.
- 45:09Speaker 2: The logo was turning yellow.
- 45:11Speaker 5: Yep.
- 45:12Speaker 2: And Sinestro was all big yellow. Yep.
- 45:15Speaker 1: Fear is the theme.
- 45:16Speaker 2: Fear is like... Parallax. I see what's going on. Big fear.
- 45:20Speaker 4: Yeah, so I like that. And I like, John, how
- 45:23Speaker 4: he's changed. You know, he's working with one brother. Another
- 45:27Speaker 4: brother's still getting on his nerves. They pissed at him because, man,
- 45:30Speaker 4: you always do this one thing and then you just
- 45:32Speaker 4: bail out on that as soon as you get close
- 45:34Speaker 4: to it.
- 45:35Speaker 2: And he did it. Because the Colonel was like, man,
- 45:37Speaker 2: hung up on him. That was hilarious.
- 45:38Speaker 1: The Colonel was like, Boy, he's like, oh, I dropped
- 45:41Speaker 1: the call.
- 45:42Speaker 2: Man, he's gone. Gone, dog.
- 45:44Speaker 1: He got on the phone just to hang.
- 45:45Speaker 2: Up on you.
- 45:46Speaker 4: While you're out there digging up graves and getting the ring.
- 45:49Speaker 4: We done fumbled this business, dude. See, this is what
- 45:52Speaker 4: we talking about. He was so mad. He sounded very brotherly.
- 45:56Speaker 2: For sure.
- 45:57Speaker 3: He was like, man, this is what I'm saying. Bro,
- 45:58Speaker 3: we got it right here. Stop going to them white
- 46:01Speaker 3: people in Rushville.
- 46:02Speaker 4: Right.
- 46:03Speaker 2: Why you keep doing that? He's fed up. I hate
- 46:06Speaker 2: the fact that he's no longer vegan, though. I was like,
- 46:08Speaker 2: damn it. But I get it.
- 46:09Speaker 5: That was the first thing I thought of when he
- 46:10Speaker 5: said he's not the meatloaf.
- 46:13Speaker 1: No.
- 46:13Speaker 3: I think he's faking it. I think he's just being
- 46:17Speaker 3: fake non-vegan to get close to her.
- 46:19Speaker 4: Oh.
- 46:20Speaker 1: Because she's meatloaf.
- 46:21Speaker 2: Did he take a bite?
- 46:21Speaker 1: Because he wanted to get into the house. I think
- 46:25Speaker 1: he suspects her.
- 46:26Speaker 5: Oh.
- 46:27Speaker 1: Let me say yes to it.
- 46:28Speaker 2: There's a theory going in. Yeah.
- 46:30Speaker 3: Because remember, him and Hal, what I like about the
- 46:33Speaker 3: show is subtext, subtext.
- 46:34Speaker 2: They don't say the stuff out loud. Right.
- 46:37Speaker 3: So he's like, he turns the dinner down. How am
- 46:39Speaker 3: I going to spend some time with you? She's got
- 46:42Speaker 3: to be suspect number one. Based on how Hal died.
- 46:45Speaker 3: Hal died basically like this.
- 46:46Speaker 2: He was chilling. I think they're both on his radar then.
- 46:49Speaker 1: Got to be.
- 46:49Speaker 3: But he's the first person I would talk to. Because
- 46:52Speaker 3: if you're Hal Jordan, Like a person catching you slipping
- 46:57Speaker 3: is not catching you sitting. They were obviously talking.
- 47:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 47:00Speaker 3: So that gunshot wound is either a sniper, which his
- 47:03Speaker 3: head is different if he gets sniped.
- 47:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 47:06Speaker 3: The coroner says it's a close shot. It's somebody he trusted.
- 47:09Speaker 3: Who else in that town could be that close but
- 47:11Speaker 3: the sheriff?
- 47:11Speaker 1: The sheriff and the boy.
- 47:12Speaker 2: The sheriff and the boy. The only two.
- 47:13Speaker 1: Sheriff and the boy. And I see the mom who
- 47:16Speaker 1: got the... She already shot him last episode.
- 47:19Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 47:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 47:20Speaker 4: If she got that innocent face and soft-ass voice, it
- 47:23Speaker 4: definitely could be her.
- 47:24Speaker 3: And there's a whole theme of parenthood in this show.
- 47:27Speaker 3: You got John's parents thinking they're doing the right thing
- 47:29Speaker 3: for their kid. The grandma thinking she's protecting Noah. You
- 47:32Speaker 3: have Hal Jordan's dad who died and leaves him out there.
- 47:35Speaker 2: And doesn't she owe a debt?
- 47:38Speaker 1: To the Manhunter?
- 47:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 47:40Speaker 1: I think so.
- 47:42Speaker 2: She might owe two.
- 47:43Speaker 1: Save my life and... The miracle thing.
- 47:46Speaker 4: Because we know that she could be, because, you know,
- 47:49Speaker 4: she's been saved before. So we know that she'll do
- 47:53Speaker 4: what she got to.
- 47:54Speaker 3: Do to 1,000%. If it takes killing Hal Jordan, she
- 47:58Speaker 3: didn't seem that connected to Hal Jordan prior to his death,
- 48:00Speaker 3: outside of that thing.
- 48:01Speaker 1: And that could have been a work in an angle.
- 48:03Speaker 5: So you think she's trying to set up John to
- 48:06Speaker 5: stick around to get killed next?
- 48:09Speaker 1: That wouldn't surprise me.
- 48:10Speaker 5: Because the whole time she was telling how to go away,
- 48:13Speaker 5: to leave, to leave, to leave.
- 48:15Speaker 1: The first time.
- 48:16Speaker 2: The first time.
- 48:17Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 48:18Speaker 2: But I think she might have changed after.
- 48:19Speaker 6: Well, the bring back, like, come back, because she said
- 48:23Speaker 6: he came back for me. Kill him.
- 48:27Speaker 5: She knew killing him would be a reason to get
- 48:30Speaker 5: John back out there.
- 48:31Speaker 6: Hey, why don't you stay at Hal's place? One, I
- 48:34Speaker 6: know where you're at.
- 48:35Speaker 2: Yep.
- 48:36Speaker 1: And the motel's blown up.
- 48:37Speaker 2: Well, the motel's gone. But- Earl's over there.
- 48:42Speaker 1: Earl over there. Earl being sad. Oh, yeah, man.
- 48:44Speaker 2: Oh, how Jordan died. Earl was like, oh, man, come on. Hey, man, what?
- 48:48Speaker 2: Earl still ate, though. Oh, that's bullshit. That's what you
- 48:54Speaker 2: would do, Toad. Oh, me too. Oh, man, my owner died.
- 48:57Speaker 1: Oh, man, but there's biscuits in here.
- 49:01Speaker 2: How could you?
- 49:02Speaker 1: How could you?
- 49:04Speaker 2: Oh, God. He put his face right back in that
- 49:08Speaker 2: meat bag.
- 49:09Speaker 1: How Jordan dead, y'all?
- 49:12Speaker 2: Meat chunks.
- 49:14Speaker 1: Meat chunks.
- 49:16Speaker 2: Earl still ate, man.
- 49:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 49:20Speaker 3: So my money's on the sheriff for that reason. I
- 49:22Speaker 3: think Jon Stewart and Hal were both good detectives. They
- 49:25Speaker 3: never showed their hand. Hal was Columbo. Jon Stewart, go T.
- 49:31Speaker 2: He's on to her. It just doesn't make sense story-wise
- 49:34Speaker 2: that it's anybody.
- 49:36Speaker 1: It's her, but why?
- 49:38Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 49:39Speaker 1: To me, it's her, but why?
- 49:40Speaker 5: I think it's her to protect the kid from whatever
- 49:43Speaker 5: the kid's purpose is supposed to show.
- 49:44Speaker 2: That's what's making the most sense.
- 49:46Speaker 6: We just don't know what the kid is exactly, though.
- 49:49Speaker 5: Because if that was the last Manhunter and they just
- 49:51Speaker 5: made a byproduct Manhunter or a Manhunter with a little
- 49:54Speaker 5: asterisk on it.
- 49:55Speaker 1: Baby Manhunter. Baby Manhunter.
- 49:56Speaker 2: You know, like baby rattlesnakes, they can't control their venom.
- 49:59Speaker 2: There you go.
- 50:00Speaker 6: So we don't know if there's a.
- 50:01Speaker 1: And does Manhunter... A Manhunter has.
- 50:04Speaker 2: To age, though. But I don't know the.
- 50:05Speaker 1: Because they take human form.
- 50:06Speaker 6: I don't know the backstories enough.
- 50:07Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know about the Manhunter's physiology.
- 50:10Speaker 6: When they reproduce, what does that mean?
- 50:12Speaker 2: This is either Noah or this shit.
- 50:15Speaker 1: Well, and the way.
- 50:15Speaker 3: Okay, so remember she put blood in his eye to
- 50:18Speaker 3: change his skin. You can assume she could have done
- 50:21Speaker 3: something to create Noah. somehow she's to be able to,
- 50:26Speaker 3: if you can recover, like with the alien technology, whatever
- 50:28Speaker 3: powers you got, you did the whole skin graft in
- 50:31Speaker 3: 10 seconds. With all that technology, it's not impossible that
- 50:34Speaker 3: she could be like you pregnant with a baby Manhunter.
- 50:37Speaker 2: Right.
- 50:38Speaker 3: Because I'm not going to be the only one. I
- 50:39Speaker 3: know that she knew then somebody was coming to kill her.
- 50:42Speaker 2: Right.
- 50:42Speaker 3: So her secret long-term plan is go baby Manhunter, Manhunter race.
- 50:47Speaker 3: The Manhunters shall rise again.
- 50:52Speaker 1: Pure white Manhunter, now he's white.
- 50:54Speaker 6: But Noah's Billy's son, right?
- 50:56Speaker 2: Yes. Allegedly? Allegedly. Allegedly. Hippa Hippa. Allegedly.
- 51:01Speaker 3: Is he Billy's son? Billy would think that. But is
- 51:07Speaker 3: she the grandma's baby?
- 51:09Speaker 1: Because remember the alien? She's taking that form of the
- 51:11Speaker 1: Indian lady. She could be anything.
- 51:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 51:13Speaker 1: You know?
- 51:14Speaker 2: You got alien Gucci. Hilly and Coochie. All right.
- 51:18Speaker 3: We'll find out next week. We'll talk about episode. We've
- 51:20Speaker 3: only got two episodes left. So we also started on
- 51:23Speaker 3: The Drop. Tony Baker suggested The Drop. Snowfall series. I
- 51:26Speaker 3: watched episode one on Patreon.
- 51:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 51:29Speaker 1: Episode two got much better.
- 51:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 51:32Speaker 1: I wasn't sold at first.
- 51:33Speaker 2: You wasn't sold?
- 51:33Speaker 1: I pulled up for Gail. Gail?
- 51:36Speaker 2: Gail Bean. Gail Bean.
- 51:37Speaker 1: Big Bean. Friend of the pod. I pulled up and
- 51:40Speaker 1: I was like, oh, this is good.
- 51:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 51:42Speaker 1: But you know, there's just a lot of stuff on.
- 51:44Speaker 1: And I didn't finish Snowfall. Oh, see, that's what's going on, man.
- 51:47Speaker 1: I fell off.
- 51:48Speaker 2: How did you fall off on Snowfall? I just, I
- 51:49Speaker 2: don't know, man. Where did you fall off?
- 51:52Speaker 1: Once the Tigers came in right that season.
- 51:54Speaker 2: Oh, the Tiger episode was ridiculous.
- 51:56Speaker 1: I just was like, all right, y'all.
- 52:00Speaker 4: That's why when people compare Snowfall and The Wire, I'll
- 52:02Speaker 4: be like, the tiger episode.
- 52:04Speaker 2: I just, man, I just was like, all right. Oh,
- 52:06Speaker 2: you're a little ways back there. Yeah, he's back there, man.
- 52:09Speaker 1: But I've followed what happened through social media.
- 52:12Speaker 2: Watch out.
- 52:12Speaker 3: You know, Teddy, the mom, $ 37 million. Teddy, my mom,
- 52:17Speaker 3: I know. Teddy was going to give him $ 37 million.
- 52:19Speaker 3: The mom shot him to save him.
- 52:21Speaker 2: I get it.
- 52:22Speaker 1: Frankly lost everything.
- 52:23Speaker 6: That last season was a marathon.
- 52:25Speaker 2: Yeah. I'm out.
- 52:27Speaker 1: The tigers....
- 52:29Speaker 3: I got off the snowfall bus. So I wasn't really
- 52:32Speaker 3: connected as much.
- 52:34Speaker 1: But it was good.
- 52:36Speaker 2: And it was a good pilot. It's hard for a
- 52:38Speaker 2: pilot to be riveting.
- 52:39Speaker 6: Especially as a spinoff too.
- 52:42Speaker 2: Especially a spinoff.
- 52:43Speaker 5: That doesn't lean too much into the old. I didn't
- 52:47Speaker 5: think they did. No.
- 52:48Speaker 4: They barely showed Leon.
- 52:51Speaker 1: Barely, barely.
- 52:52Speaker 2: He was barely in that pilot episode.
- 52:54Speaker 4: He was pushed to the forefront in the second episode.
- 52:57Speaker 4: But I like how they kept Leon at bay. just
- 53:00Speaker 4: to show you what she's working on, what she got going.
- 53:02Speaker 4: She still has the stigma of crackhead.
- 53:05Speaker 2: I love that. And she looked at that cocaine a
- 53:07Speaker 2: little bit too long.
- 53:08Speaker 4: I like that too, because it's like, yo, I get
- 53:10Speaker 4: what you trying to do now, but people ain't going
- 53:13Speaker 4: to really.
- 53:13Speaker 2: Trust you like that. That's fair. That is fair. Black people,
- 53:17Speaker 2: you was a crackhead? That's hard to shake, dawg.
- 53:21Speaker 1: You are a crackhead.
- 53:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 53:23Speaker 1: You are never not going to be that girl who
- 53:25Speaker 1: was climbing the window.
- 53:26Speaker 4: Even if you're doing all right this week, how I
- 53:27Speaker 4: know you ain't going to revert back and steal my TV?
- 53:29Speaker 3: Listen, crackhead and high rocks is the same thing. Black
- 53:32Speaker 3: people only have, it only has to happen one time.
- 53:34Speaker 2: That's all it takes.
- 53:35Speaker 1: That high rocks is doo-doo now.
- 53:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 53:37Speaker 1: You ain't even never have to heard of high rocks.
- 53:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 53:40Speaker 3: Especially if you never heard of high rocks. That's that
- 53:41Speaker 3: doo-doo race. No, man, I'm not doing no doo-doo race.
- 53:45Speaker 3: Black people are never going... High Rocks can become a
- 53:48Speaker 3: global conglomerate.
- 53:50Speaker 2: How did a doo-doo company become a billion dollar.
- 53:52Speaker 1: $ 25.
- 53:54Speaker 6: Million, Kev, come host one and do one for.
- 53:57Speaker 1: A doo-doo race? Absolutely.
- 54:00Speaker 2: I'm doing the doo-doo race.
- 54:01Speaker 6: Byline, you got to either pee or doo-doo on yourself
- 54:04Speaker 6: for clicks.
- 54:04Speaker 2: I'm doing it for free.
- 54:06Speaker 3: He doodooed on himself. I doodooed on myself for free.
- 54:09Speaker 3: What you mean? You paid me $ 25 million.
- 54:11Speaker 4: I doodooed on myself in Mexico City. I peed in
- 54:14Speaker 4: the bed because I had a pee dream.
- 54:16Speaker 2: No high rocks. No high rocks. On the house. Nothing.
- 54:20Speaker 2: Free of charge. Now, mind you, I was getting paid
- 54:24Speaker 2: in Mexico City.
- 54:25Speaker 1: By default.
- 54:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:26Speaker 1: So technically you got paid.
- 54:27Speaker 2: I was there because I was working. But, you know
- 54:30Speaker 2: what I'm saying?
- 54:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 54:31Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 54:33Speaker 4: So, Wanda is still dealing with that stigma, which I'm
- 54:36Speaker 4: glad that they addressed.
- 54:37Speaker 2: For sure.
- 54:37Speaker 4: Because I was like, there ain't no way she just...
- 54:40Speaker 4: Moving through the city. We've seen her, you know, get
- 54:43Speaker 4: off of it. But people at large be like, hey, man,
- 54:47Speaker 4: you was wilding out here. She was in the community tough.
- 54:50Speaker 4: She was climbing in windows.
- 54:51Speaker 2: Yes. The grandma said, she stole your whatever she stole.
- 54:55Speaker 4: Yes, stealing from the family. So, the family's not even
- 54:58Speaker 4: trusting her. She was like, I'm trying not to let
- 55:01Speaker 4: my son get his... Gets his hopes up with a
- 55:04Speaker 4: former crackhead. Yep. You know, I respect what you're trying
- 55:07Speaker 4: to do, but, you know, leave him out of this.
- 55:09Speaker 2: Absolutely. I got a dream. I got this music going. Yeah.
- 55:12Speaker 4: You know, and so I'm invested. And then she's working
- 55:16Speaker 4: with the producer DG. Is that his name? D.
- 55:20Speaker 2: It's D something.
- 55:21Speaker 1: Daryl.
- 55:21Speaker 2: DG.
- 55:22Speaker 1: Daryl.
- 55:22Speaker 2: They call him DG in the show. The cousin, right? No, no.
- 55:26Speaker 2: The dude with the perm. The dude with the perm
- 55:28Speaker 2: and the riches that Wanda's working under. Oh, that guy. Yeah. Yeah.
- 55:32Speaker 2: Do you watch both? Oh yeah, I'm kind of. Darryl, DG.
- 55:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 55:36Speaker 1: Well, Panty was a gangster before as well. Right, he
- 55:39Speaker 1: ain't a softie. No, he seemed like he had forgotten.
- 55:42Speaker 2: He seemed like he was a studio dude, but then
- 55:44Speaker 2: he's like, oh.
- 55:45Speaker 1: Oh, no, no, no.
- 55:46Speaker 2: Okay.
- 55:47Speaker 1: I'll kill niggas.
- 55:48Speaker 2: That's why he was so calm, surrounded by bloods. Yeah.
- 55:51Speaker 2: Even though he was outnumbered with one guy. Literally, the
- 55:54Speaker 2: one dude. You don't walk into that.
- 55:56Speaker 4: Environment with that type of arrogance without having some type
- 55:59Speaker 4: of background.
- 56:00Speaker 2: For sure.
- 56:01Speaker 3: It's what I like Snowfall, I mean, The Drop is
- 56:03Speaker 3: doing too. It's very women-led. Gayle is the lead of
- 56:08Speaker 3: the show, and then Dara... The record lady.
- 56:11Speaker 1: She leads the Bloods.
- 56:12Speaker 3: They got four niggas, and she was like, wait till
- 56:16Speaker 3: Dara comes.
- 56:16Speaker 6: I was talking about even at the record label.
- 56:19Speaker 5: It's not just the guy.
- 56:22Speaker 2: It's not just guy, guy, guy, guy.
- 56:24Speaker 5: And she's being an advocate for Gayle to be a
- 56:28Speaker 5: part of the program.
- 56:29Speaker 2: For sure. Absolutely.
- 56:30Speaker 4: Like, once she saw, once she saw, because he was
- 56:32Speaker 4: trying to brush it off, but once she saw, no,
- 56:34Speaker 4: I like where this girl is going.
- 56:36Speaker 2: Tell me more about, what's his name? Artillery. Artillery.
- 56:38Speaker 1: Tell me more about this Artillery.
- 56:40Speaker 6: Shouts to Buddy, a real rapper.
- 56:41Speaker 1: Buddy was in an episode of Roast Me.
- 56:44Speaker 2: Buddy is a real rapper. He was. Yeah, Buddy, I
- 56:46Speaker 2: roasted Buddy.
- 56:47Speaker 5: So Buddy actually got to interview at All Def for
- 56:50Speaker 5: one of the All Def music series.
- 56:51Speaker 6: He went to art school. He actually went to the
- 56:53Speaker 6: same high school as Yamara.
- 56:55Speaker 4: Oh, wow.
- 56:55Speaker 6: He went to Renaissance in Long Beach. But he went
- 56:58Speaker 6: to school for theater.
- 56:59Speaker 4: Oh, wow.
- 56:59Speaker 2: He's a theater kid.
- 57:01Speaker 4: So this is not even a rapper just dabbling in
- 57:05Speaker 4: the love.
- 57:06Speaker 5: No, but then he got poppin' to a music for
- 57:09Speaker 5: real in real life.
- 57:10Speaker 4: Right.
- 57:10Speaker 6: Signed to Pharrell.
- 57:12Speaker 2: Oh, really?
- 57:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 57:14Speaker 2: Well, not anymore.
- 57:14Speaker 5: But he started his career breaking through, signed to Pharrell. Oh,
- 57:17Speaker 5: I did not know that. He has a really good
- 57:19Speaker 5: record called Shine.
- 57:20Speaker 2: I didn't know this either. Yeah.
- 57:22Speaker 6: And he's been doing music consistently. This is his real
- 57:24Speaker 6: first acting gig though.
- 57:26Speaker 1: Oh, he's brilliant.
- 57:27Speaker 2: He's doing great so far.
- 57:28Speaker 3: It reminds me, when you are artistic, you are often
- 57:32Speaker 3: artistic in different areas. It's like how you can, you're funny,
- 57:35Speaker 3: but you also do pure theater. You also have a
- 57:38Speaker 3: good singing voice and you be dancing. Look at who
- 57:41Speaker 3: you came to see.
- 57:45Speaker 2: You be harmonizing with yourself.
- 57:46Speaker 1: It's like Eric Benet on TikTok. Eric Benet is legitimately funny.
- 57:51Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 57:51Speaker 1: He's hilarious. Like, he's a great singer.
- 57:53Speaker 2: Yeah, but I never would have imagined he would be
- 57:56Speaker 2: this funny. He is legit.
- 57:57Speaker 4: When I see him a day in the life back
- 57:59Speaker 4: in the day, he looked like an R & B, arty,
- 58:02Speaker 4: incense type guy.
- 58:04Speaker 2: Oils, body oils. Halle Berry's ex-husband.
- 58:07Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying?
- 58:09Speaker 2: But man, he is hilarious.
- 58:11Speaker 3: I know Eric Benet had that wicker chair with the
- 58:15Speaker 3: Black Panther.
- 58:16Speaker 2: Plants in his house, toes out.
- 58:18Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying?
- 58:20Speaker 3: And now because of social media, he said, I've heard,
- 58:22Speaker 3: I don't know if he said this, but I heard
- 58:24Speaker 3: that his manager was like, yo, you can't be funny. Like,
- 58:27Speaker 3: we got to sell the sex. And he was like, well,
- 58:29Speaker 3: I want to be more. And I think at that time,
- 58:33Speaker 3: that was the right choice.
- 58:34Speaker 1: Because, you know, celebrities were very packaged then.
- 58:37Speaker 2: Oh, for sure.
- 58:38Speaker 3: But now you can be anything. So the fact that
- 58:41Speaker 3: Simba's a real rapper, really acting. That story he told
- 58:45Speaker 3: about the nigga who took the honey bun from him?
- 58:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 58:49Speaker 1: That was a captivating monologue.
- 58:50Speaker 2: Simba's doing great and Buddy's doing great.
- 58:52Speaker 3: And Buddy's killing it. They are so believable as these characters.
- 58:57Speaker 2: For sure.
- 58:59Speaker 1: Simba was like, when he was trying to snake Buddy
- 59:01Speaker 1: before he came, when he was like, nigga, I'm low-key,
- 59:04Speaker 1: I'm a better rapper than him.
- 59:05Speaker 2: He was trying to get up in there. I'm like,
- 59:07Speaker 2: that's so real.
- 59:08Speaker 1: I'm a better rapper than him. Oh, you should sign me.
- 59:10Speaker 2: What's up, man?
- 59:10Speaker 1: You got this man waiting.
- 59:12Speaker 2: Get over here and sign your deal. That's real, dog.
- 59:16Speaker 1: For sure.
- 59:17Speaker 2: Somebody definitely going to try to snake you. Yeah, come on, man.
- 59:20Speaker 2: I was just keeping it warm. You like that shit, man.
- 59:23Speaker 2: I got some shit over here on the low. Holler
- 59:25Speaker 2: at me, man. So, yeah, so... But I'm liking that dynamic.
- 59:30Speaker 2: We got the conflict between the young producer and his family.
- 59:34Speaker 1: Oh, that's so good.
- 59:35Speaker 2: I'm loving the relationship of the older brother and the
- 59:38Speaker 2: younger brother.
- 59:38Speaker 1: Lamar and James.
- 59:40Speaker 2: Yes.
- 59:40Speaker 4: Because the older brother is like, you know... He's like,
- 59:43Speaker 4: because when you look at the producer kid, he's just
- 59:46Speaker 4: a product of his environment, but he's on the soft side.
- 59:49Speaker 2: For sure.
- 59:49Speaker 1: Because he's just running.
- 59:51Speaker 2: Where you from? He's running. He's trying to get on
- 59:53Speaker 2: the bus.
- 59:53Speaker 5: Because he's trying to stay out of politics.
- 59:55Speaker 2: The stress, dog. When he was getting dressed.
- 59:58Speaker 1: I was just trying to go to school.
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 1:00:01Speaker 6: So he was coming home from school?
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: I don't know where he was coming.
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: I missed that. I think I was on my phone
- 1:00:05Speaker 5: or something. I missed how he got in that wrong neighborhood.
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: But they crashed a car pressing him.
- 1:00:14Speaker 6: And he was on the bus.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: He was on the bus. Porked the corn in the yard.
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: And it's also like it shows you in that environment,
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: you don't really have a choice.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: You in a crip neighborhood, you got to be a crip.
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: You got to be a crip.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: Like how do you not?
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: Explain yourself. We got to know you.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: Or we got to know you.
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: You just can't be neutral out here if we don't
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: know you.
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: Because even the neutral parlay they had had to be like,
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: this is neutral territory, but these dudes had to put
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: their word on it just for the neutral thing to.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: Happen in neutral ground. Right. God, dog.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: In the middle of the Louis Burgers.
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: It's politics, dog.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: Jesus.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: He's just like, oh, man.
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: And so I like the fact that he has a
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: brother that's entrenched in it. but he's still just like,
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: he's just protecting his younger brother. But also just like,
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: all right, man, well, I ain't gonna let you go
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: over there by yourself. And then he walks with his
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: brother in enemy territory.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: It's just terrifying. Solo.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: Because you know.
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: Your little brother going to be useless if the shit
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: goes down. And Wanda's just going to be Wanda.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: It's basically just me.
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: I just want him to hear the beats. I just
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: want to press play. I want to hear play and
- 1:01:26Speaker 4: watch them rap. Then you're going to be dead. His
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: brother's like, man, fuck this beat. He's like, did you?
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: You seen his vlogs?
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: Like, yeah. But he still just like, yeah, that's great.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: He never listened to the song.
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: He was like, fuck this record, dog.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: I resurrected him. Nigga, you was finna die next. You
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: was finna die next.
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: They was ready for it.
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: In that scene when he was in the studio in
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: his house, they was trying to record the thing.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: His brother found artillery. Yeah.
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: They can fit a squab in the granny's house.
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: For sure. It's serious business out.
- 1:02:00Speaker 5: Here, man.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: What if you don't want to be a crip that day?
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: You got to be a crip every day.
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: Every day.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: Every day you got to be a crip.
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: Got to be on point.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: They can't go on vacation. I always got to be
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: a crip.
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: Oh, my God, man. Always.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: They don't get to go to Venice and you can't skateboard,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: go swimming.
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: Oh, you having fun out here? You in Six Flags? No,
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: fuck that. Parking lot. You just got off the Riddler,
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: the Superman ride, parking lot. You fighting in front of
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: Bugs Bunny and them in the background? Nah, ain't no weed, dog.
- 1:02:36Speaker 4: If you doing this, you better be throwing up your set.
- 1:02:39Speaker 4: Mid rollercoaster dip, it better be all set.
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: Being thrown up.
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: And you better not be in the same rollercoaster car
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: with the ops.
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: I better not see no blood. What if you see
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: a blood in the picture? You know, they always show
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: you the picture of you on the ride. You like this,
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: it's the blood behind you. Like, are you you? You
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: out here riding with the enemy, huh? So now he
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: got an answer for that.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: Oh, it's terrible.
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: What you doing on a roller coaster with the blood? Literally.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: It's my day off of school, man.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: I don't know what you're telling me.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: And meanwhile, this nigga can play the piano.
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: We saw a picture of you on that roller bolster.
- 1:03:16Speaker 4: We saw a picture of you on that roller bolster
- 1:03:18Speaker 4: having a good old time.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: Jumping. It's just stress, though.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: You rode the XMU with the Hurricane Harbor cab?
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: The streets is stressful, dog.
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: Man! And that show does a good job of making
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: you feel there.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: They're all stressed. It's serious, man. Everybody.
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: Buddy, artillery's character is stressed.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: He want to make music.
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: Lamar's stressed for his brother, for his own safety.
- 1:03:42Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: The grandparents are stressed for what's going to happen to
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: the kids. Wanda literally might die. This nigga got choking
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: her hammer. She was, the most believable thing, she don't
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: even know what happened.
- 1:03:52Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: He's asking her questions. She got paid, said, meet me
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: at the studio. You threatened to smash her hands with
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: a hammer. She doesn't even know what happened yet.
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: He's ready to kill her. She can't answer the question.
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: She's like, I don't even know what you're talking about.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: I don't know what's happening here.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: You set me up.
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: What? You set me up. No, I did not. There's
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: no Twitter, no thread. She doesn't even know.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: She was out at work.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: In her mind, she's thinking she closed a sweet deal.
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: Come to find out, they done stripped him down his
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: drawers and beat him down. Orange drawers, man. He out
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: there in his panties, beat down. So his beef is valid.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: For sure.
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: His beef is valid.
- 1:04:33Speaker 4: I went out there with a contract. I was going
- 1:04:36Speaker 4: to sign your boy. They stripped me down to my panties,
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: socked and stomped me out, grabbed.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: Him and held him.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: Grabbed him and held him.
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: And now I'm just paying. That's your boy.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: And you told me.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: You told me it was all good.
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: So Leon has to come in and be like, Wanda, man,
- 1:04:52Speaker 4: don't be bringing me in this shit no more. I'm
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: trying to do something else with my life.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: Leon is at prepaid legal with zero sales. He's like, God,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: please don't bring me back into the gang life.
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: I ain't trying to do this.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: I love how Leon comes to navigate that situation.
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: The appearances that he comes along, they're like, dang, this
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: nigga a gangster for real, girl.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: Look at the confidence.
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: This nigga had a whole station of niggas. And niggas was,
- 1:05:24Speaker 3: he had the Golden Lords outside. He was sitting there
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: with the AK-47 in the parking lot.
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: The parking lot. He was like.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: Time to go. Pulling full guns away.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: Yes. Full.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: Antonio Banderas is out there with the guitar team.
- 1:05:37Speaker 5: That was a scene from Anchorman when they all fought
- 1:05:40Speaker 5: in the back and.
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: People started pulling grenades out. Machetes.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: Because in my head, I'm like, man, Leon, really, that nigga, like,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: this is crazy.
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: Leon's like, are you crazy? I got 400 niggas outside.
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: Don't ever make me do this again. For sure, he
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: was pissed. He's threatened. He's stressed.
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: They're all scared.
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: We went to Africa. We had a great time. Come on, man.
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: We was gone.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: I walked away from this life. And listen, let me
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: tell you what Leon said to that nigga. He said,
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: I'll kill you about her.
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, for sure.
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: DG was like, all right, well, okay.
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: I'll kill you about her. No, no. She could be
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: a pawn or a queen. Matter of fact. Or a queen.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: Or a queen. Because Leon never erased his voice.
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: No, he doesn't have to anymore.
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: Oh, no, no, by the way, no, I'll kill you
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: by the way.
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: And I love the growth of Leon.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: It's the best.
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: He was maximum hothead in Snowfall. Now he's just like, yo.
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: That's the benefit of that.
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: But you can see it's going to be like a
- 1:06:40Speaker 3: Godfather thing.
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: Because what I think the show did a good job is,
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: Wanda can't navigate without Leon. Lamar can't navigate without James.
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: DG can't navigate without whoever this henchman is finna be.
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: His lawyer's like, you can't do that street stuff. Even
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: Leon's like, you can't do that. So everybody needs a
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: counterbalance part to make it work. And Wanda's a woman.
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: Like, DG was like.
- 1:07:08Speaker 6: But also, Wanda's really good in this space, too.
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: And Leon can't, and DG can't navigate music without Wanda.
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: He not getting these, he don't have the ear, he
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: don't have the connects.
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: She is bringing something to.
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: The table for real.
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: For sure.
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: She's bringing something to the table for real that he
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: can't deny. She picked the sample out.
- 1:07:25Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: And the only reason that lady is fucking with DG
- 1:07:28Speaker 4: is because of Wanda.
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: What Wanda's bringing to the table. For sure.
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: So it's just like, and then, so he brings in
