Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: So I constantly come back to this, like you know,
- 0:03Speaker 1: old saying where it's like talk to yourself like you
- 0:06Speaker 1: would your best friend. Like if you would not say
- 0:08Speaker 1: that to your best friend, why why would you say
- 0:10Speaker 1: it to yourself?
- 0:25Speaker 2: Hey, everyone, Emily ABOUDI here you are listening to day
- 0:28Speaker 2: two of this week's special series on motherhood. Here Unhurdle.
- 0:34Speaker 2: This week I am chatting all about motherhood. And although
- 0:37Speaker 2: I'm not a mom just yet, my talks with Hurdlers
- 0:39Speaker 2: over the years have taught me so much about this
- 0:42Speaker 2: life chapter.
- 0:43Speaker 3: I've learned that motherhood.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Itself is both beautiful and challenging, exhausting and rewarding. And
- 0:50Speaker 2: whether or not children are in the cards for you,
- 0:53Speaker 2: it's safe to say that we've all been dramatically impacted
- 0:56Speaker 2: by a mother, whether it be our own or another
- 0:59Speaker 2: in our life. So leading up to Mother's Day this weekend,
- 1:02Speaker 2: I'm chatting with six extraordinary women, some moms, some nod,
- 1:06Speaker 2: but each with their own story to tell, forever shaped
- 1:09Speaker 2: by the women that came before them. Today's episode is
- 1:13Speaker 2: with my dear friend, Sarah Larson Levy. She's the founder
- 1:17Speaker 2: and CEO of Y seven Studio. The year twenty twenty
- 1:22Speaker 2: was one of drastic change for Sarah, between shuddering all
- 1:28Speaker 2: of their yoga studios because of the pandemic, having a
- 1:31Speaker 2: baby boy in June, and moving to Austin from New York.
- 1:35Speaker 2: It has been an emotional whirlwind. In today's episode, Sarah
- 1:39Speaker 2: and I chat navigating coming back to her body after
- 1:42Speaker 2: baby moving in a way that feels right for her,
- 1:45Speaker 2: and agree that if you want to lose a little
- 1:47Speaker 2: bit of weight, it's your body.
- 1:49Speaker 3: You get to make that choice.
- 1:51Speaker 2: What's important is that you're not basing that choice solely
- 1:55Speaker 2: on a number that you see on a scale. She
- 1:58Speaker 2: also mentions how much has taught her the importance of
- 2:01Speaker 2: patience and staying calm, both which have helped her while
- 2:05Speaker 2: working to open studios once again.
- 2:07Speaker 3: On that note, Chicago just this week.
- 2:10Speaker 2: We agree that coming back to normal quote unquote is
- 2:13Speaker 2: going to be a social adjustment for sure, but we're
- 2:16Speaker 2: both excited for the opportunity to connect again, hopefully soon.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Irl.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Before we get into it today, I do want to
- 2:24Speaker 2: take a moment to highlight some upcoming hurdle sessions. Now,
- 2:26Speaker 2: if you are new to the hurdle community and new hurdler, welcome,
- 2:31Speaker 2: Hurdle Sessions are digital workshops that I put on on

- 2:42Speaker 2: We've got the mid year reset thing of it as
- 2:45Speaker 2: your mid year polse check on your goals and how
- 2:47Speaker 2: to stay on track or perhaps get on board.
- 2:50Speaker 3: And then also with.
- 2:51Speaker 2: The ladies from Brave Body Project upcoming, I have so
- 2:55Speaker 2: you want to run a maratha on For details on
- 2:57Speaker 2: both of those, including dates, times and how to sign up,

- 3:15Speaker 3: With that, Let's get to hurdling today.
- 3:26Speaker 2: I'm sitting down with Sarah Larson Levy. She is the
- 3:30Speaker 2: founder and CEO of Y seven Studio. How you doing,
- 3:35Speaker 2: I'm good?
- 3:36Speaker 4: How are you?
- 3:37Speaker 3: I'm good?
- 3:38Speaker 2: This is a third encore on the Hurdle Podcast. It's amazing.
- 3:43Speaker 2: It is well a true member of the Hurdle fam.
- 3:48Speaker 2: It's been so it's been way too long since you
- 3:50Speaker 2: and I have seen each other Irl. You now live
- 3:53Speaker 2: in Austin. How is Austin.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Austin is good. We're here for the time being. I
- 4:00Speaker 1: don't actually know where where will end up.
- 4:04Speaker 4: We don't know.
- 4:05Speaker 1: You know, we've been in the city for the past
- 4:07Speaker 1: ten years, and you know, having a baby was kind
- 4:12Speaker 1: of like, okay, the clock starts. You know, we're not
- 4:15Speaker 1: from the East Coast, We're not from the New York area.
- 4:18Speaker 1: We don't have you know, family support there, so there's
- 4:21Speaker 1: not you know, aside from like work and like loving
- 4:25Speaker 1: the city as a place. Like it's not my ideal
- 4:29Speaker 1: for raising a family as much as I love Manhattan, right,
- 4:34Speaker 1: I don't know if it you know, we don't know.
- 4:37Speaker 4: We don't know. We may be back, but we'll see.
- 4:40Speaker 3: Do you have options, like a city list of options
- 4:42Speaker 3: that you're willing to share.
- 4:46Speaker 4: I mean it's pretty much for me Austin or New York.
- 4:51Speaker 1: We've thought about Denver, but you know, I like the warmth.
- 4:56Speaker 1: We're both like warm weather people.
- 4:58Speaker 2: So I have a girlfriend who recently had a baby.
- 5:02Speaker 2: I want to say, maybe the baby is like four
- 5:04Speaker 2: months old. Now, time flies. I feel like the pandemic
- 5:06Speaker 2: that completely warps your sense of time. But they were
- 5:10Speaker 2: living in Brooklyn, and they flew down to Miami two
- 5:13Speaker 2: months after, and she said that experience, just to be
- 5:16Speaker 2: able to walk outside and have some sun and then
- 5:20Speaker 2: go back to taking care of the baby, or safely
- 5:23Speaker 2: taking care of the baby outside before it gets too humid,
- 5:26Speaker 2: there was a game changer for her mental health, her
- 5:29Speaker 2: physical health.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Oh, for sure, that's exactly how I feel. The idea
- 5:34Speaker 1: that I can just walk out the front door and
- 5:36Speaker 1: like be in our yard, as opposed to the whole
- 5:41Speaker 1: deal with the elevators, bringing all this stuff, just to
- 5:43Speaker 1: take a quick walk outside before the weather turns.
- 5:46Speaker 4: I don't know, it.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Feels a lot mentally, a lot easier with everything else
- 5:52Speaker 1: that's kind of going on.
- 5:53Speaker 2: So with everything else that's going on, nothing has happened
- 5:56Speaker 2: for you over the last year.
- 5:57Speaker 3: You haven't been busy or stressed at all.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Get us up to speed on what the pandemic was
- 6:04Speaker 2: like for you, dealing with closing temporarily of your studios,
- 6:10Speaker 2: and let's start there, and then we'll talk about what's
- 6:13Speaker 2: going on now.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, it was not great.
- 6:20Speaker 1: The last however, many months now, like thirteen fourteen months,
- 6:24Speaker 1: has been really really challenging to watch everything we worked
- 6:30Speaker 1: for kind of just be ripped away for no you know,
- 6:36Speaker 1: for something that was completely out of our control. Was
- 6:38Speaker 1: really really difficult. I think a lot of people in
- 6:42Speaker 1: the fitness world felt that, right, there's not really an
- 6:45Speaker 1: alternative for that in person experience. There is no takeout
- 6:51Speaker 1: version of your workout class, and that's really tough.
- 6:56Speaker 4: You know.
- 6:56Speaker 1: I think a lot of trainers were really incredible in
- 6:59Speaker 1: a lot of studio you know, pivoted to online super quickly.
- 7:02Speaker 1: I know we did, and it's still really amazing. But
- 7:06Speaker 1: after being in Chicago last week to you know, be
- 7:09Speaker 1: there for opening week of that studio, like there truly
- 7:12Speaker 1: is nothing like an in studio experience, and it just
- 7:18Speaker 1: it was devastating the last year really, you know, personally professionally,
- 7:25Speaker 1: like what do you what do you do? So yeah,
- 7:30Speaker 1: and then I had a baby in the middle of it.
- 7:34Speaker 1: That is the part that truly blows my mind.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Like, first of all, I got goosebumps just now when
- 7:38Speaker 2: you were talking about like the in studio experience, because
- 7:42Speaker 2: I agree it's.
- 7:43Speaker 3: And that was a huge barrier for.
- 7:45Speaker 2: So many during the pandemic, was trying to find any
- 7:48Speaker 2: semblance of normalcy and recreate that feeling for themselves, because
- 7:52Speaker 2: to be honest, it's it's impossible to recreate. So first
- 7:56Speaker 2: of all, like to get goosebumps, like thinking about that
- 7:58Speaker 2: in studio experience, which I have yet to experience again,
- 8:01Speaker 2: and then knowing you personally and thinking about you being
- 8:06Speaker 2: pregnant and dealing with all of the anxiety that went
- 8:09Speaker 2: hand in hand with all of these closures, all of
- 8:12Speaker 2: these frustrations.
- 8:13Speaker 3: Talk to me about what that was like for you personally.
- 8:17Speaker 4: To put it.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Lightly, I was a mess. And I still struggle today
- 8:22Speaker 1: because I don't have all the answers. I don't know
- 8:28Speaker 1: what it looks like in six months. I can hope,
- 8:31Speaker 1: I can speculate, but I'm really struggling with what to do.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Even are people going to want to come back, you know,
- 8:41Speaker 1: getting people savings so I can't wait and then but
- 8:45Speaker 1: maybe they can, you know, maybe they're not comfortable coming
- 8:47Speaker 1: back into spaces yet, and like that's okay, I get that.
- 8:51Speaker 1: But at the same time, this is a business and
- 8:53Speaker 1: if we don't have revenue coming in, we're done. And
- 8:58Speaker 1: so it's such a challenge to you know, have those
- 9:03Speaker 1: feelings on one side, but then also really try to
- 9:07Speaker 1: be a leader for my team on the other side,
- 9:11Speaker 1: and you know, know that these people are still here,
- 9:14Speaker 1: they're still with me. They believe in what we do,
- 9:17Speaker 1: and it's just how are we going to do it? Really,
- 9:20Speaker 1: And we've never been here before, you know, we've built
- 9:23Speaker 1: it from nothing, really scrappy. But that was one location.
- 9:28Speaker 4: That was two.
- 9:30Speaker 1: This wasn't at the magnitude where we are now, where
- 9:32Speaker 1: we don't have the luxury of being so so small anymore.
- 9:38Speaker 1: But we're not quite big enough where we're.
- 9:41Speaker 4: Super super well capitalized. So it's hard.
- 9:44Speaker 1: I think everybody likes to compare us to We get
- 9:47Speaker 1: grouped with Berries, with Soul Cycle, you know, with all
- 9:51Speaker 1: of these huge brands, and like we have zero point
- 9:56Speaker 1: zero five percent of the capital they have in the bank,
- 10:00Speaker 1: and that's tough, you know. So the expectations from I
- 10:03Speaker 1: think former employees and clients are so so high, and
- 10:10Speaker 1: you know, it's it's something I think we should be
- 10:12Speaker 1: really proud of because the brand has such incredible presence.
- 10:15Speaker 2: But yeah, and so give us an adequate timeline, just
- 10:20Speaker 2: so I can kind of put into context about when
- 10:24Speaker 2: you had your little boy and where things were with
- 10:27Speaker 2: the pandemic.
- 10:29Speaker 1: So I had Lee on June eleventh, so we were
- 10:35Speaker 1: in our fourth month of lockdown. We had been hopeful
- 10:38Speaker 1: for a September.
- 10:40Speaker 4: Reopened.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Obviously that didn't happen, so we were like prime prime pandemic,
- 10:47Speaker 1: like smack dab in the middle when I had him,
- 10:51Speaker 1: And here we are almost till be eleven months next week,
- 10:56Speaker 1: so almost a year later, which is crazy to me.
- 11:00Speaker 2: So that in that experience, did you take any maternity leave?
- 11:09Speaker 3: I tried.
- 11:10Speaker 4: I was still around.
- 11:11Speaker 1: I was like, if you need me, I'm here. But
- 11:13Speaker 1: you know, as far as like my regularly scheduled meetings
- 11:16Speaker 1: things like that, I was not, you know, there for
- 11:19Speaker 1: any of that stuff.
- 11:20Speaker 4: It was. It was hard.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Had a really hard time. I think the first week
- 11:25Speaker 1: kind of like I don't know what to do. And
- 11:31Speaker 1: I think, you know, you just kind of realized that
- 11:34Speaker 1: you don't really get these moments back with your kid,
- 11:39Speaker 1: you know, like you don't get them back.
- 11:40Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:41Speaker 1: So I was actually reading Oh my god, now I
- 11:45Speaker 1: forget what the quote is, but my friend Madison posted
- 11:48Speaker 1: something and she was she also runs from business, and
- 11:52Speaker 1: she was someone was asking for like, how do you
- 11:54Speaker 1: like juggle everything?
- 11:56Speaker 4: And she's like, I don't. She has two kids.
- 11:58Speaker 1: She's like a two under two mom, and so she's
- 12:01Speaker 1: got her hands full. And she was like, she said
- 12:05Speaker 1: this quote and I'll have to look it up for
- 12:08Speaker 1: you and tell you the exact words later, but something
- 12:10Speaker 1: about like juggling balls, like if everything in your life
- 12:14Speaker 1: was like a well, your job, your family, your marriage.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Some of those balls are robber and some are glass,
- 12:22Speaker 1: like if you drop one of them in my bounce back, but.
- 12:26Speaker 4: There are some that won't, and so you just have
- 12:29Speaker 4: to know what these balls are made of. That didn't
- 12:32Speaker 4: sound right, But you get my point, right.
- 12:37Speaker 3: I know I know where you were going with that.
- 12:39Speaker 2: And that's a good point though, because, as you said before,
- 12:42Speaker 2: you don't get some of these some of these moments back.
- 12:45Speaker 2: So then I think the next logical question for you
- 12:48Speaker 2: would be, how have you been quote unquote juggling.
- 12:54Speaker 4: Very very carefully.
- 12:56Speaker 1: It's really difficult, and you know, I mean, they just
- 13:00Speaker 1: announced in New York today actually that everything can reopen,
- 13:05Speaker 1: no restrictions on May nineteenth, and I was like, great,
- 13:09Speaker 1: but we don't have a team. I had to literally
- 13:12Speaker 1: fire everyone who worked for me, and I can't just
- 13:16Speaker 1: flip a switch. So I don't have a team. Really
- 13:20Speaker 1: right now, Like it's very very small, so I can't
- 13:23Speaker 1: just flip the lights on and be like, okay, come
- 13:24Speaker 1: on in.
- 13:25Speaker 4: There's you know, there's stuff that needs to be done.
- 13:29Speaker 1: And we didn't know when this was going to end,
- 13:32Speaker 1: so no, we didn't buy a ton of like nerv
- 13:35Speaker 1: thirteen filters, and now there are none.
- 13:39Speaker 3: So I love that.
- 13:40Speaker 2: You just like that just like rolled off the tongue
- 13:42Speaker 2: for you. Like someone's listening and they're like, what's a
- 13:44Speaker 2: Nerve thirteen filter?
- 13:45Speaker 1: They're not even like that great. It's just like someone
- 13:48Speaker 1: was like, this is the filter you want, and I
- 13:50Speaker 1: was like, but what that doesn't even like it doesn't
- 13:53Speaker 1: fit it. Anyways, this gets very technical, but long story short,
- 13:57Speaker 1: it's not right for every kind of air flow system.
- 14:00Speaker 1: So like if you don't have one, it doesn't mean
- 14:02Speaker 1: there's no airflas.
- 14:03Speaker 4: It's very complicated. Okay, anyways, oh my goodness.
- 14:07Speaker 1: So I don't you know, people are kind of like
- 14:09Speaker 1: getting a little like mad and frustrated. That's like, well,
- 14:11Speaker 1: what are you opening? It's like, I think the hardest
- 14:13Speaker 1: thing is is and I know studios who reopened when
- 14:17Speaker 1: they could, you know, in the faller summer and had
- 14:20Speaker 1: to close again, and because they had to rehire everybody
- 14:25Speaker 1: paid them to prep to open for two weeks, were
- 14:27Speaker 1: open for a week and then had.
- 14:29Speaker 4: To shut down again.
- 14:30Speaker 1: They did not have the funds to reopen again, so
- 14:34Speaker 1: we didn't do that, so we waited. So it seems
- 14:37Speaker 1: like we're not like trying to reopen, and it's just
- 14:40Speaker 1: really really Again, it all comes down to like these expectations, right,
- 14:45Speaker 1: like managing people's expectations, and when you come up against
- 14:49Speaker 1: like super well capitalized businesses, I think the perception gets
- 14:55Speaker 1: skewed a little bit. So it's been really hard for
- 14:57Speaker 1: me to like manage that too. Understand that, like my
- 15:02Speaker 1: team is human. There's nine of us, Like they're humans.
- 15:07Speaker 1: They cannot work around the clock. They cannot, And that
- 15:12Speaker 1: for me is like another one of these like if
- 15:14Speaker 1: we're just going to keep using this ball reference and
- 15:16Speaker 1: so I'm like, now feel really dumb that I brought
- 15:18Speaker 1: that out to because I was like, I don't just
- 15:20Speaker 1: want to keep saying the word balls all the time,
- 15:22Speaker 1: but you know those are that's one of the more
- 15:27Speaker 1: fragile ones, Like I don't want to lose key members
- 15:32Speaker 1: of my team, which has already happened because they are
- 15:35Speaker 1: so burnt out that they're just like I can't even
- 15:38Speaker 1: like get up in the morning because I'm so tired.
- 15:42Speaker 2: And like to your point about that, these are real people.
- 15:47Speaker 3: It's hard to find good people.
- 15:50Speaker 2: It's one of the things that every mentor I have
- 15:53Speaker 2: ever had has always told me. If you find the
- 15:56Speaker 2: right person, and they might not know or have experience
- 15:59Speaker 2: with all asked of a job yet, but they're a
- 16:01Speaker 2: good human, then you need to trust in that and
- 16:04Speaker 2: like go with that person over the person that may
- 16:07Speaker 2: not be the right personality fit for your business but
- 16:10Speaker 2: has X, Y and Z skill. So right now you're
- 16:13Speaker 2: certainly going through that when it comes to rejiggering and
- 16:16Speaker 2: finding new people to help you reopen your studios.
- 16:19Speaker 4: And I think it's tough. Everyone wants more money.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Now. I would love to pay every one million dollars,
- 16:27Speaker 1: but I can't. So then it becomes, you know, you're
- 16:30Speaker 1: not paying me what I'm worth. You don't recognize when
- 16:32Speaker 1: I'm worth. It's like it's truly not it. It's like
- 16:36Speaker 1: I don't have the money. So you know, it's a
- 16:41Speaker 1: really really tough balance, and everybody there are so many
- 16:45Speaker 1: factors that go into this, right like everyone has gone
- 16:49Speaker 1: through a really, really tough year.
- 16:52Speaker 2: You're right, and you just mentioned the comparison to other
- 16:56Speaker 2: businesses in the space. Kind of easy to draw a
- 16:59Speaker 2: parallel there. When we come back to this concept of motherhood,
- 17:04Speaker 2: easy to compare yourself to other mothers. So for you,
- 17:09Speaker 2: after having your baby in June, talk to me about
- 17:13Speaker 2: what that experience was like for you. That comparison trap
- 17:16Speaker 2: because dear, like, I just think about all that other
- 17:19Speaker 2: stress that you had.
- 17:22Speaker 1: I mean I and we've talked about this previously on
- 17:30Speaker 1: our multiple episodes together. But I'm not like a skinny person.
- 17:34Speaker 1: I'm not like I don't like working out.
- 17:37Speaker 4: I don't like it.
- 17:39Speaker 1: That's the whole reason why someven exists was because like
- 17:42Speaker 1: I love yoga. I hate every class I went to
- 17:47Speaker 1: because I felt so bad about myself because all I
- 17:51Speaker 1: was doing was comparing. The instructor was instructing me to
- 17:55Speaker 1: look like somebody else. I was being told what to
- 17:58Speaker 1: look like, and that for me was like, this is
- 18:00Speaker 1: not the point of yoga. I love yoga, And so
- 18:06Speaker 1: why somedn exists Because I was like, I need I
- 18:08Speaker 1: need darkness. I need to feel like I have freedom
- 18:11Speaker 1: and space, and I can be myself and I want.
- 18:14Speaker 4: To move to music.
- 18:15Speaker 1: I want to be motivated, and so it has like
- 18:18Speaker 1: the whole experience is created with all these kind of
- 18:20Speaker 1: like tricks, right, And because I get lumped into this
- 18:27Speaker 1: fitness you know group of people, I felt like this
- 18:35Speaker 1: very big pressure to bounce back. And it's been almost
- 18:38Speaker 1: a year and like I just I'm sorry. I'm not
- 18:42Speaker 1: going to give up like eating the food I like
- 18:45Speaker 1: to fit into some mold that people have decided that's
- 18:48Speaker 1: what it's supposed to be like, and like, yeah, would
- 18:51Speaker 1: I love to lose ten pounds? Hell yes, Like I
- 18:54Speaker 1: know at what weight I feel my best at, you know,
- 18:57Speaker 1: like I know that that's where I feel the most confident.
- 19:00Speaker 1: It's not about the number, it's about how I feel.
- 19:03Speaker 1: So for me, I know what that number is and
- 19:07Speaker 1: I know like that's where my clothes fit the best,
- 19:09Speaker 1: where I like look in the mirror and I'm like, hey, girl,
- 19:11Speaker 1: how are you? I know what it is that I want,
- 19:13Speaker 1: But I think there's an expectation on from other people
- 19:20Speaker 1: outside looking in for me in a sense to perform.
- 19:28Speaker 4: And that's really tough.
- 19:29Speaker 1: I think social media has been like is so interesting
- 19:31Speaker 1: because I think it's so wonderful because I've been connected
- 19:34Speaker 1: with so many people through it who I have become real,
- 19:37Speaker 1: real friends in my life and real support systems in
- 19:40Speaker 1: my life. But then there's this other side where it's
- 19:43Speaker 1: this constant, like.
- 19:46Speaker 4: Idea.
- 19:47Speaker 1: I so we I'll give you an example. We at
- 19:51Speaker 1: like write it four months. We we did sleep training.
- 19:57Speaker 1: We trained our baby to sleep. I hired a sleep coach.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Is incredible, and guess what, this mother sleeps through the
- 20:05Speaker 1: night because her child does. And I remember, like one
- 20:13Speaker 1: someone I know, when I said I'd let my baby cry.
- 20:16Speaker 1: She's like, you're not going to get him. And I
- 20:18Speaker 1: was like, no, he's fine, he's fine, Like I'm right here, sick. Really,
- 20:23Speaker 1: you're just gonna let him cry. I was like, he's
- 20:28Speaker 1: he's okay. I'm literally twenty feet away. But that's you know,
- 20:34Speaker 1: you have to give your kids and whoever the two.
- 20:36Speaker 1: And that's just what worked for us too, because.
- 20:38Speaker 4: I knew.
- 20:41Speaker 1: That I have this business that I have to focus
- 20:43Speaker 1: on too, and if I am not I need sleep.
- 20:45Speaker 4: If I'm not well rested, I'm useless.
- 20:48Speaker 1: I'm useless to my kid, I'm useless to my business,
- 20:51Speaker 1: I'm useless to my partner.
- 20:53Speaker 4: I need that sleep.
- 20:55Speaker 2: I totally hear you on the the post baby number
- 21:01Speaker 2: weight place. I think that it has been challenging at
- 21:06Speaker 2: times with the you know beauty that is the body
- 21:10Speaker 2: positivity movement, to be made to feel like you're not
- 21:14Speaker 2: allowed to want to weigh less than you do I
- 21:20Speaker 2: And that's the other side, right, It's like, oh, I've
- 21:23Speaker 2: just been breastfeeding and now I'm back to my size.
- 21:26Speaker 1: It's like, okay, well, I was so hungry when I
- 21:29Speaker 1: was breastfeeding. I gained it, like what it was story,
- 21:34Speaker 1: so hungry. I was like, I need a sandwich. You
- 21:37Speaker 1: don't know what feels good for me. How dare you
- 21:41Speaker 1: tell me that? Because I would like to drop ten
- 21:45Speaker 1: pounds because that's where I feel my best. That that's wrong.
- 21:51Speaker 1: You don't know what's right for my body. I don't
- 21:53Speaker 1: tell you what to do with yours. End of story.
- 21:56Speaker 2: It's all about that feeling, and that that's something I
- 21:58Speaker 2: can't reiterate enough in because I actually, like feel very
- 22:02Speaker 2: similar to how you feel right now in my body,
- 22:04Speaker 2: Like I know that I feel a little bit better
- 22:06Speaker 2: when I weigh a little bit less, and it's not
- 22:08Speaker 2: at all tied to that number. It's just about how
- 22:11Speaker 2: I feel in my own skin and just like feeling
- 22:14Speaker 2: more confident and not shying away from certain situations just
- 22:19Speaker 2: because like I don't feel my best. But I and
- 22:22Speaker 2: I think this a lot lately when I'm like going
- 22:24Speaker 2: through whatever I'm going through when it comes to like
- 22:28Speaker 2: dealing with my emotions when it comes to my move
- 22:30Speaker 2: and like just feeling at times like feeling alone or whatever.
- 22:34Speaker 3: Like they always say.
- 22:34Speaker 2: This to you to like remind you that like everything's
- 22:37Speaker 2: going to be okay, Like someone would die for your
- 22:39Speaker 2: worst days. Yes, and just because someone might quote unquote
- 22:44Speaker 2: die to have the body that I have now, like
- 22:47Speaker 2: it's still my body exactly.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Like that's the point I find it so interesting. So
- 22:53Speaker 1: I have a partnership with ww and formerly weight Botchers
- 22:58Speaker 1: and listen, I thought I'm pretty big in college, Like
- 23:02Speaker 1: I grew up playing sports. I played sports until I
- 23:06Speaker 1: graduated high school. I was playing tennis, I was playing volleyball,
- 23:09Speaker 1: I danced, and I went to college. I'd never gone
- 23:13Speaker 1: to the gym before. I'd literally never gone to the gym.
- 23:16Speaker 1: I wasn't like, you know, I wasn't like a I
- 23:18Speaker 1: wasn't like such a good an athlete that they were like,
- 23:20Speaker 1: you need to lift weights. I was like, you know,
- 23:22Speaker 1: I just ran around a lot. And so when I
- 23:27Speaker 1: went to college, I just didn't work out. And what
- 23:29Speaker 1: happened because I was not active, I gained weight, of course,
- 23:34Speaker 1: And so I used WW and I was like, unhealthy.
- 23:38Speaker 1: It was not healthy, the lack of movement in my life.
- 23:41Speaker 1: So I used it to understand my eating habits and
- 23:45Speaker 1: to move more, and I lost seventeen pounds.
- 23:48Speaker 2: I don't know if I knew that you and I
- 23:50Speaker 2: both shared a WW college story.
- 23:53Speaker 1: I love it, not only and I love it for this.
- 23:57Speaker 1: It's not based on calories, right, It's based on point
- 24:00Speaker 1: So it's based like everyone thinks the points are based
- 24:03Speaker 1: on calories, it's not. It takes into consideration like if
- 24:06Speaker 1: you were on the old platform. You know, it's like
- 24:08Speaker 1: you're looking at the can. It's like total fat, total carbs,
- 24:11Speaker 1: total sugar, and calories all combined, so you're understanding what
- 24:14Speaker 1: kinds of foods you're eating.
- 24:16Speaker 2: So my question for you, coming off of this conversation
- 24:20Speaker 2: about WW and talking about how we feel best in
- 24:23Speaker 2: our bodies, is how have you rangled some of those
- 24:29Speaker 2: not exactly nice thoughts over the last handful of months,
- 24:34Speaker 2: as you've been struggling to get to a place where
- 24:36Speaker 2: you feel good in your body.
- 24:38Speaker 4: Again, I think it.
- 24:39Speaker 1: All comes down to patients and also just I've come
- 24:45Speaker 1: back to this thought a lot because I am very
- 24:48Speaker 1: critical of myself in many ways, so I constantly come
- 24:53Speaker 1: back to this, like you know, old saying where it's
- 24:57Speaker 1: like talk to yourself like you would your best friend,
- 24:59Speaker 1: Like if you not say that to your best friend,
- 25:01Speaker 1: and why why would you say it to yourself? For
- 25:04Speaker 1: me too, at least, what I've seen in the last
- 25:06Speaker 1: year is there have been more.
- 25:11Speaker 4: Women on women.
- 25:11Speaker 1: Attacks, like we have attacked each other so much in
- 25:17Speaker 1: the last year. It feels to me like there can
- 25:21Speaker 1: be such a lack of community where there needs to
- 25:24Speaker 1: be compassion.
- 25:25Speaker 4: And again, I think.
- 25:26Speaker 1: That goes back to expectations. You're expected to be the
- 25:29Speaker 1: perfect partner, the perfect mother, the perfect coworker, the empathetic boss,
- 25:34Speaker 1: the empathetic leader. You're not allowed to make hard decisions.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Every decision you make, someone has a comment to make
- 25:40Speaker 1: about it, like and you're expected to answer for it
- 25:43Speaker 1: and explain yourself when sometimes it's like it's just business.
- 25:48Speaker 1: I had to take all of these billion things into consideration,
- 25:51Speaker 1: and if I don't make this choice, there isn't going
- 25:53Speaker 1: to be a business. So and I'm so, you know,
- 25:57Speaker 1: I've been very fortunate that, you know, I have of
- 26:00Speaker 1: people in my life. I think kind of who can
- 26:03Speaker 1: you know relate to me on this level and like
- 26:06Speaker 1: we can share, you know, these frustrations. But I just
- 26:11Speaker 1: want to like shape the entire female population and say what,
- 26:19Speaker 1: what's why? Because I guarantee you all these dudes are like.
- 26:25Speaker 4: What are they doing?
- 26:28Speaker 3: How special is that though?
- 26:29Speaker 2: That you've had so many people in your circle who
- 26:32Speaker 2: have recently also had children.
- 26:35Speaker 1: It's amazing. I could not ask for anything more perfect. Again,
- 26:40Speaker 1: it's that support system, right, So it's like what do
- 26:43Speaker 1: I do?
- 26:44Speaker 4: What are you doing? Have you started ballads yet? What's
- 26:47Speaker 4: happening here?
- 26:48Speaker 1: And it's so with anything, right, I think it's all
- 26:51Speaker 1: about community and the people you surround yourself with and
- 26:54Speaker 1: the people you listen to, you know. I think it
- 26:57Speaker 1: goes back again to media and how we listened to
- 27:01Speaker 1: so many people's opinions that actually we don't know or
- 27:04Speaker 1: don't know us, and we put weight into those and
- 27:07Speaker 1: so it's been really empowering for me at least to
- 27:11Speaker 1: have women who I am close to who have also
- 27:15Speaker 1: had children, you know. And I think there were, like,
- 27:19Speaker 1: oh my gosh, I probably know like ten ten people
- 27:23Speaker 1: who I would consider friends who we all had babies
- 27:26Speaker 1: within like two months of each other.
- 27:29Speaker 4: And it was awesome.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Taking a break from today's episode to give some love
- 27:40Speaker 2: to my sponsor at pickI Bars for supporting this week
- 27:44Speaker 2: of content. Picky Bars started as a side project to
- 27:47Speaker 2: fuel iron Man and Marathon training miles for pro athletes
- 27:51Speaker 2: Lauren Fleshman, Stephanie Bruce, who you'll hear from later this week,
- 27:54Speaker 2: and Jesse Thomas, and it grew into multiple product lines
- 27:58Speaker 2: of nutritionally balanced, wholesome, real food options that you can
- 28:03Speaker 2: feel great about putting into your body. Even better, their
- 28:06Speaker 2: flavors are delicious, which is a huge bonus when shopping
- 28:11Speaker 2: for performance fuel to nourish your busy body. I'm talking
- 28:15Speaker 2: performance granola. I cannot get enough of their PBNJ all
- 28:19Speaker 2: Day flavor. They've got performance oatmeal pancakes, and their drizzle.
- 28:24Speaker 3: Listen.
- 28:24Speaker 2: I know I talk to you all about a lot
- 28:26Speaker 2: of great products on the show, the Picky Bars drizzle
- 28:30Speaker 2: is the most delicious thing period. I cannot stop raving
- 28:35Speaker 2: about it to all of my friends and family and
- 28:37Speaker 2: now all of the hurdlers. Good news, Picky Bars is
- 28:41Speaker 2: offering hurdle listeners twenty percent off their purchase of twenty
- 28:45Speaker 2: five dollars or more at pickibars dot com slash hurdle,
- 28:49Speaker 2: which means you can say, while trying all of my
- 28:52Speaker 2: faves for yourself, They're also offering an additional twenty percent
- 28:56Speaker 2: off if you try a new Picky Club membership that's
- 28:59Speaker 2: Picky dot com pic ky bars dot com slash hurdle
- 29:05Speaker 2: to get twenty percent off your order of all of
- 29:08Speaker 2: their super delicious real food, snacks and fuel. Today, when
- 29:19Speaker 2: you reflect on that group of ten women and you
- 29:24Speaker 2: think about some of maybe the best advice that you've
- 29:27Speaker 2: received from one of them to navigate your own journey
- 29:31Speaker 2: with Lee and your family, what would that piece of
- 29:34Speaker 2: advice be?
- 29:35Speaker 1: Just taking it moment by moment. There's days where you
- 29:38Speaker 1: want to rip your hair out and you're like, I
- 29:39Speaker 1: don't know if I can do this, Like I don't
- 29:40Speaker 1: know how anyone does this, and then you know twenty
- 29:43Speaker 1: minutes later it's like, well, I love this, And it's
- 29:46Speaker 1: just knowing that those moments will come, they will happen.
- 29:49Speaker 1: You really understand when you have kids that you just
- 29:55Speaker 1: have so little control over everything. I cannot control this
- 30:02Speaker 1: tiny little person. You can't control their moods. You can
- 30:06Speaker 1: try to, it's the best you can, right And it
- 30:08Speaker 1: was actually my sleep coach who also had just had
- 30:11Speaker 1: a baby when her and I started working together.
- 30:14Speaker 4: Her name is Zan and she's so wonderful.
- 30:16Speaker 1: I found her through another one of my mom friends,
- 30:20Speaker 1: and she was like, we can try and control and
- 30:24Speaker 1: speculate all we want about what they need.
- 30:27Speaker 4: She's like, but.
- 30:29Speaker 1: They're gonna tell you, and you you know that's it.
- 30:33Speaker 1: And that was a real moment for me where I
- 30:35Speaker 1: was like, all right, I'm just gonna like let this,
- 30:37Speaker 1: let this happen as it will, because you know it's
- 30:42Speaker 1: gonna happen like that anyways, so might as well just
- 30:46Speaker 1: sit back a little bit.
- 30:47Speaker 3: Sit back a little bit.
- 30:49Speaker 2: I know recently also, it has been man like, what
- 30:54Speaker 2: a year for you. It's been difficult for you to
- 30:59Speaker 2: navigate everything that's been going on in the news as well.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Do you feel any sort of way at this time
- 31:07Speaker 2: about raising your son and question mark future children in
- 31:14Speaker 2: this climate?
- 31:15Speaker 1: I think about that a lot, and.
- 31:25Speaker 4: What really.
- 31:28Speaker 1: Changed me during my childhood was moving overseas.
- 31:33Speaker 4: You know this.
- 31:34Speaker 1: My mom is Japanese and she got a job transfer
- 31:38Speaker 1: and so we actually lived in Tokyo for two years
- 31:41Speaker 1: and I was ten and eleven, and that was life
- 31:45Speaker 1: changing for me. Really, to experience a culture outside of
- 31:50Speaker 1: the one I had been raised in was game changing
- 31:54Speaker 1: for me.
- 31:54Speaker 4: It was so.
- 31:58Speaker 1: I don't want to say humbling or like eye opening,
- 32:01Speaker 1: but it was you're more of a spectator, right, and
- 32:08Speaker 1: you're learning because you know, I didn't speak Japanese when
- 32:13Speaker 1: we moved there, and so for me, it was a
- 32:16Speaker 1: lot of like watching and body language and how you
- 32:19Speaker 1: convey respect and joy or whatever it might be through
- 32:26Speaker 1: you know, nonverbal language.
- 32:28Speaker 4: And coming back.
- 32:30Speaker 1: To the States after it was really just kind of
- 32:33Speaker 1: it was jarring. It was more jarring for me to
- 32:35Speaker 1: come back to the States than it was for me
- 32:38Speaker 1: moving to Japan. And I think a lot about that
- 32:43Speaker 1: and how I want to expose Lee and hopefully more children,
- 32:49Speaker 1: future children to different cultures, different ideas in the sense
- 32:53Speaker 1: that they're able to really respect them before having a comment.
- 32:59Speaker 1: And I think that goes a lot of things, right,
- 33:01Speaker 1: Like so many people are willing to comment, to make
- 33:04Speaker 1: assumptions to you know, I don't know, saying things a
- 33:09Speaker 1: certain way and past judgment because they're different than what
- 33:12Speaker 1: you know. And what I really want to pass on
- 33:17Speaker 1: to him is the understanding of kindness and just respect
- 33:23Speaker 1: for people as an as like individuals and not. You know,
- 33:28Speaker 1: there's a lot of there's a lot of just kind
- 33:31Speaker 1: of like lumping, you know, whether it be religions, cultures
- 33:35Speaker 1: into one group.
- 33:36Speaker 4: And that's that's where like a lot of.
- 33:40Speaker 1: This bias and you know, I think racism comes from too,
- 33:44Speaker 1: is just like these assumptions that we're taught to make
- 33:46Speaker 1: because it's easy. There's an openness that I think that
- 33:50Speaker 1: all children have and are born with that I want
- 33:53Speaker 1: to make sure that he routines and understands, you know,
- 33:57Speaker 1: the value of a smile, of a hello, of a
- 34:00Speaker 1: how are you of eye contact? That stuff is really
- 34:06Speaker 1: important to me. So that's you know, it's tough. It's
- 34:08Speaker 1: a lot of work. They watch, you know, they watch
- 34:11Speaker 1: everything you do, their little puppets, truly, so I'm also
- 34:17Speaker 1: trying my best to really lead by example.
- 34:21Speaker 2: I think about that a lot in my everyday life
- 34:25Speaker 2: when I think about how individuals may be perceiving me
- 34:30Speaker 2: in real situations beyond the narrative that I am in
- 34:35Speaker 2: control of over on social media. It's like, when I
- 34:39Speaker 2: walk into a room, how do you perceive me? And
- 34:42Speaker 2: am I being the person that I want to be
- 34:46Speaker 2: with my presence, with how I respond, with my compassion,
- 34:49Speaker 2: with my kindness. And it's something that I've done a
- 34:53Speaker 2: lot of thinking about over the last year or two,
- 34:56Speaker 2: just wanting to put forth the best version of myself.
- 35:01Speaker 2: And now, granted, obviously I say that knowing that, like
- 35:04Speaker 2: they are going to be the hard days where you're
- 35:06Speaker 2: not going to show up and just be the poster
- 35:08Speaker 2: child for kindness and courtesy always, but you can still
- 35:13Speaker 2: be kind while going through your own stuff.
- 35:20Speaker 4: For me, it's.
- 35:20Speaker 1: About realizing those moments too, when you're reactive and it's like, okay,
- 35:28Speaker 1: I'm being able to say fuck, I'm really sorry, Like
- 35:33Speaker 1: I really just had a snap reaction to that, and
- 35:36Speaker 1: I'm sorry. That is not who I am, That's not
- 35:40Speaker 1: how I want to speak to people. And that's the
- 35:43Speaker 1: first step. Because people feel ashamed. People feel you know,
- 35:51Speaker 1: those actions, those reactions you look back and you're like,
- 35:53Speaker 1: I'm so ashamed of how I reacted that I I
- 35:58Speaker 1: don't want to relive it again.
- 36:00Speaker 4: I don't. I don't want to do it, you know,
- 36:03Speaker 4: so I think.
- 36:04Speaker 3: But sometimes it's so important to do it.
- 36:07Speaker 1: You have to even for yourself being uncomfortable and knowing
- 36:12Speaker 1: that there is space, because that's what you would want
- 36:15Speaker 1: from somebody else.
- 36:16Speaker 4: Right.
- 36:18Speaker 1: That's what I think about all the time is how
- 36:20Speaker 1: would I want to be treated if I had just
- 36:24Speaker 1: reacted really quickly or something like that, Like, how would
- 36:26Speaker 1: I know that that person and I are okay?
- 36:29Speaker 2: Since becoming a mom, do you notice that you handle
- 36:33Speaker 2: situations any differently than before you were mom?
- 36:38Speaker 4: Oh?
- 36:39Speaker 1: I definitely have a little more patience than I did.
- 36:42Speaker 1: He's so this sounds really like weird, but he's so
- 36:46Speaker 1: little still, And to be honest, there haven't been a
- 36:50Speaker 1: don't really interact with a lot of people. I have
- 36:52Speaker 1: a poor, sweet pandemic baby who sees a new person
- 36:55Speaker 1: and is like, poor guy.
- 36:56Speaker 4: You know, there haven't been.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Like situations like that have been I think presented in person,
- 37:01Speaker 1: But in terms of when I'm talking to somebody new
- 37:05Speaker 1: or a new employee or someone who's new the team
- 37:07Speaker 1: or whatever it may be, there's more patience on my
- 37:11Speaker 1: end when I'm entering that conversation knowing that this is
- 37:15Speaker 1: the first time someone may be doing something or hearing
- 37:18Speaker 1: something right. Like. That's something you learn about kids, is
- 37:22Speaker 1: that everything is brand new to them, Like the when
- 37:27Speaker 1: they take like I don't know, when they sit up
- 37:29Speaker 1: for the first time, they're like, but like the world
- 37:33Speaker 1: looks different from this view what's happening, and it freaks
- 37:35Speaker 1: them out, you know. So that's been a really interesting
- 37:41Speaker 1: way that I've been able to think about everything. Is like,
- 37:45Speaker 1: people aren't mind readers. I have to be super super clear,
- 37:51Speaker 1: patient and kind.
- 37:55Speaker 2: It's super interesting that both you and your husband are entrepreneurs.
- 38:00Speaker 2: I would imagine that that's been a really interesting experience
- 38:04Speaker 2: for the both of you to be building businesses, running businesses,
- 38:08Speaker 2: trying new things, while also like entering into this new
- 38:11Speaker 2: stage as parents.
- 38:13Speaker 4: Oh girl, what a trip it's been.
- 38:16Speaker 3: What's it been like for you to see your partner
- 38:19Speaker 3: become a dad?
- 38:21Speaker 4: It's really cool, It's really cool. Mason is.
- 38:29Speaker 1: A great dad. He is a wonderful, wonderful father. I
- 38:36Speaker 1: went out of town. I was out of town last week.
- 38:38Speaker 1: I was in Chicago for three days, and he handled it,
- 38:43Speaker 1: you know, and that's and not to say that like
- 38:50Speaker 1: men can't do it, but that's not something you see
- 38:53Speaker 1: a lot and you see the mom in a lot
- 38:56Speaker 1: of situations automatically assume responsibility. It's not really in a
- 39:02Speaker 1: lot of households. It's not a conversation where it's like, hey,
- 39:08Speaker 1: we both do this thing. I need to, you know,
- 39:11Speaker 1: go out of town. How do you feel like are
- 39:12Speaker 1: you comfortable? Like what do I need to do to
- 39:14Speaker 1: help you get there?
- 39:16Speaker 4: We just assume that I can't leave. I'm the mom.
- 39:23Speaker 1: I can't leave, and that's it, and then you get
- 39:28Speaker 1: into that pattern, that habit, and then you create that
- 39:31Speaker 1: boundary and that's I knew that was never going to
- 39:35Speaker 1: be the case with me. I didn't know when I
- 39:37Speaker 1: was going to feel comfortable traveling. And I certainly don't
- 39:40Speaker 1: like to be away for as long. You know, I
- 39:43Speaker 1: used to go to like La for like the league
- 39:44Speaker 1: and like that. I know, I three, I think three
- 39:47Speaker 1: nights away. Yeah, that's it, three nights I want to
- 39:50Speaker 1: I want to go home and all right, yeah, and
- 39:55Speaker 1: that's just where I am right now. That may change,
- 39:57Speaker 1: who knows, But knowing that I have a partner who
- 40:04Speaker 1: I know, can you know, take care of our child
- 40:08Speaker 1: like I would if I was there.
- 40:11Speaker 4: I know there's nothing missing.
- 40:12Speaker 1: I know that, you know, Lee is not like missing
- 40:15Speaker 1: me in a way that he's not having his needs
- 40:18Speaker 1: met right now.
- 40:20Speaker 3: What are you excited about?
- 40:23Speaker 1: I'm excited to connect with people again. That's what I'm
- 40:26Speaker 1: excited for. That's really what it's all about for me.
- 40:28Speaker 1: It's I've really missed that interaction.
- 40:33Speaker 4: I'm excited to do stuff, you know.
- 40:36Speaker 1: I Yeah, I hope that people continue to be smart
- 40:41Speaker 1: and you know, take care of themselves and take care
- 40:44Speaker 1: of each other. I don't know if I'm excited because
- 40:46Speaker 1: I feel like excited, like I know this is going
- 40:48Speaker 1: to happen, so I'm excited for it.
- 40:50Speaker 4: But I'm hopeful that this past year has been.
- 40:56Speaker 1: A wake up call for everybody and we start taking
- 41:00Speaker 1: care of each other and we're able to slow down
- 41:04Speaker 1: and maybe take a step back from this kind of
- 41:07Speaker 1: race that we've all put ourselves in without knowing it.
- 41:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel the same way.
- 41:13Speaker 2: I also on that note of slowing down and like
- 41:17Speaker 2: enjoying your time with people. It's both interesting and exciting
- 41:21Speaker 2: to be able to get back in real life with
- 41:23Speaker 2: humans again and have the opportunity to connect and make
- 41:27Speaker 2: eye contact, and sometimes it's as.
- 41:31Speaker 3: Though individuals don't know how to do this anymore. So
- 41:34Speaker 3: I'm excited for us all to work on that together.
- 41:37Speaker 4: I am so awkward, it's almost a little painful. I'm like,
- 41:42Speaker 4: how are you.
- 41:42Speaker 1: I've realized I'm like really loud because I'm so used
- 41:45Speaker 1: to like being can you hear me? The volume's okay?
- 41:49Speaker 1: And I realize like every time around people, I'm like
- 41:51Speaker 1: yelling a little bit. I'm like, God, I'm so sorry
- 41:54Speaker 1: I'm yelling at you. I'm just I'm like, what do
- 41:56Speaker 1: I wear? Like?
- 41:57Speaker 4: Do I wear? Are we wearing pants?
- 41:59Speaker 1: Or we wear?
- 42:00Speaker 4: Is this?
- 42:01Speaker 1: Like?
- 42:01Speaker 3: I literally?
- 42:02Speaker 2: I mean I am the kind of person that likes
- 42:03Speaker 2: to get dressed to like be home every day, but
- 42:06Speaker 2: still like when I'm starting to go out again into
- 42:08Speaker 2: the world, and I like went on a date not
- 42:10Speaker 2: that long ago, and I was like, I have nothing
- 42:13Speaker 2: in my life that I want to wear for these
- 42:14Speaker 2: things at all.
- 42:16Speaker 1: You're like, I hope he really likes matching sweatsuits.
- 42:21Speaker 3: Got lots of those.
- 42:23Speaker 4: I'm tied eyed this one myself. Hope you'll love it.
- 42:27Speaker 2: I'll also like make you a delgana coffee and we
- 42:30Speaker 2: could do a TikTok and then like when we're done,
- 42:32Speaker 2: we could watch like something on Netflix and then I
- 42:35Speaker 2: don't know, just insert extra trend here.
- 42:38Speaker 4: I thank you, my friend.
- 42:41Speaker 2: Right now, you have an opportunity to offer yourself a
- 42:45Speaker 2: piece of advice, right before you had your baby in
- 42:50Speaker 2: the middle of a pandemic. What do you tell yourself?
- 42:56Speaker 1: I tell myself, You've been here before, and I mean
- 43:02Speaker 1: the general you as in women. We have been birthing
- 43:08Speaker 1: babies since the beginning of time. You have been here before.
- 43:14Speaker 1: You were built for this. You're gonna be fine.
- 43:19Speaker 3: You're gonna be fine, and you are fine.
- 43:21Speaker 2: You're doing it and studios are opening and hopefully soon
- 43:25Speaker 2: we can be in the same location. Sarah, how do
- 43:30Speaker 2: the hurdlers keep up with hy seven?
