  Proverbs 5, which says, "Drink water

  from your own sister water running water

  from your own well. Let them be yours

  alone. [snorts] May your fountain be
• 0:21
  blessed and may you rejoice in the wife
• 0:23
  of your youth. May her breath satisfy
• 0:25
  you always. May you ever be intoxicated
• 0:28
  with her love? Why, my son, be
• 0:30
  intoxicated with another man's wife? Why
• 0:33
  embrace the bosom of a weward woman?
• 0:37
  Brother, God's not embarrassed by your
• 0:39
  desire for intimacy. He made you that
• 0:41
  way. He wired you with a drive that when
• 0:44
  directed toward your wife creates
• 0:46
  security, strength, and joy inside your
• 0:49
  home. But here's the battle. When

  intimacy dries up in the marriage bed,

  the enemy goes hunting. Pornography

  whispers false promises. Fantasies creep

  in. Discontent grows. And a man who

  loses intimacy often loses purpose,

  passion, and presence. Scripture gives

  us the antidote. Guard your well.

  Protect the marriage bed. Fight for
• 1:13
  covenant intimacy. Keep your desire
• 1:16
  pointed toward the wife of your youth.

  Let's be honest, many men are hurting
• 1:21
  here. Some of you are in marriages where
• 1:23
  intimacy has faded or disappeared. Your
• 1:26
  wife is distant, tired, uninterested, or
• 1:28
  even using intimacy as leverage. And you

  feel trapped between soulcrushing
• 1:34
  celibacy and soul destroying infidelity.

  But hear me, God calls you to something
• 1:41
  higher. You don't get to run to
• 1:43
  pornography. You don't get to check out.

  You don't get to abandon the woman you
• 1:47
  covenanted before God to love. You're
• 1:50
  called to love her as Christ loves his
• 1:52
  church, sacrificially, patiently,
• 1:55
  truthfully, and without compromising
• 1:57
  holiness. That means you keep
• 1:59
  communicating. You keep leading calmly
• 2:02
  and courageously. You keep expressing
• 2:04
  your need respectfully. You keep
• 2:06
  pursuing unity, not with harshness, but
• 2:08
  with spiritual strength. And wives, if
• 2:11
  any of you are listening, hear this
• 2:13
  truth anchored in scripture. Your
• 2:15
  willingness to engage your husband
• 2:17
  intimately intimately is not a small
• 2:20
  thing. It's one of the greatest gifts
• 2:21
  you give your marriage. It strengthens
• 2:24
  him. It blesses him and it draws his
• 2:26
  heart toward home. So men, here's

  today's play. Step toward your wife.

  Schedule the conversation. Speak openly

  and gently about your need. Commit to

  purity, not porn, not fantasy, not a

  wandering heart. Fight for the covenant

  God gave you. Guard your will. Protect

  your marriage. Pursue your wife and

  honor God with your desire. This is how

  we live like Jesus. And this is how our
