I-94 Construction Closes Key Ramps | Milwaukee News
Major road closures hit Milwaukee’s I-94 starting Monday, July 6th at 9 PM—three sections shut down through fall. St. Paul Ave between 27th and 29th streets is fully blocked. Twenty-eighth Street between Clybourn and St. Paul becomes a dead end, cutting off access forever. The westbound ramp from 28th St to I-94 is also closed. DOT recommends alternate routes: 35th St, Wisconsin Ave, 27th St, Clybourn, or 26th St. All work is weather-dependent—stay updated if you’re driving through the area.
