- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on, I sure will.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Good morning everybody you are listening to the voice, come on,
- 0:08Speaker 2: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Got a radio show. Man, oh man, oh man. You
- 0:17Speaker 1: know what y'all?
- 0:18Speaker 2: I mean, Really, the goodness of God is overwhelming if
- 0:21Speaker 2: you think about it. I mean, really really think about it,
- 0:26Speaker 2: even when your circumstance doesn't look so bright, even when
- 0:31Speaker 2: you're going through something that's causing you discomfort, pain, Even
- 0:37Speaker 2: in that, God's goodness is actually overwhelming because don't forget
- 0:45Speaker 2: why you're going through this moment.
- 0:48Speaker 1: First of all, this too shall pass.
- 0:50Speaker 2: But also secondly, remember man, ain't everything else that you've
- 0:55Speaker 2: gone through that seems so insurmountable at the time, didn't
- 0:59Speaker 2: you get past that too? I mean, it's amazing. If
- 1:04Speaker 2: you really think about it, you don't get stuck on
- 1:07Speaker 2: any one issue your whole life. The only people that
- 1:11Speaker 2: get stuck on an issue they whole life is people
- 1:15Speaker 2: who won't let it go. That's really all it is.
- 1:18Speaker 2: There are people who exist, and you may be one
- 1:21Speaker 2: of them. Oh please know, I've been guilty of it
- 1:24Speaker 2: myself before, but I learned something. There are things in
- 1:29Speaker 2: my past that I just would not let go.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Of it was done. It was over with.
- 1:34Speaker 2: I was past it, but I I.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Would not let go of it. It was over.
- 1:41Speaker 2: The dude that did it tell me didn't exist no more.
- 1:44Speaker 2: The problem that it created didn't exist no more. The
- 1:47Speaker 2: only problem that kept hanging on was I would not
- 1:51Speaker 2: let it go. And man, you can't go forward if
- 1:56Speaker 2: you're gonna keep looking in the past.
- 1:58Speaker 1: It's an impossible thing. It's like driving a car.
- 2:02Speaker 2: If you keep looking only in the rear view mirror
- 2:05Speaker 2: while you're driving, you're going to crash pretty soon. And
- 2:09Speaker 2: a lot of people just keep crashing over and over
- 2:12Speaker 2: and over and over because you won't drive your car
- 2:16Speaker 2: you keep looking in.
- 2:17Speaker 1: The real view mirror act your past. Oh woe is me?
- 2:22Speaker 2: Oh? You know they did me like that? You know
- 2:24Speaker 2: I ain't been the same since he cheated on me. Oh, man,
- 2:27Speaker 2: every since she stole my money, I ain't been the
- 2:29Speaker 2: same man she played me, and every since that I.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Done treated women differently.
- 2:35Speaker 2: You may have some deeper stuff going on, but eventually,
- 2:38Speaker 2: guess what, do you understand that when you have a
- 2:41Speaker 2: relationship God with God, you can take that to him
- 2:44Speaker 2: too and drop it off and leave it there.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Do you know that He can fix and heal that.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Maybe it's something serious like that that you need fixing
- 2:55Speaker 2: or healing from, a relationship with.
- 2:57Speaker 1: God can fix and heal that.
- 3:00Speaker 2: But man, come on, y'all, whatever it is, and I'm
- 3:04Speaker 2: not trying to downplay it or make it act like
- 3:07Speaker 2: it wasn't traumatic in your life, because oh God, you
- 3:10Speaker 2: don't want to. You know, you don't want nobody to
- 3:12Speaker 2: do that to you, because you want to be the
- 3:14Speaker 2: the you know, the.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Post a child for misery. So please don't let me
- 3:18Speaker 1: take that from you.
- 3:20Speaker 2: If that's your position, that's your hall of fame card
- 3:23Speaker 2: you hanging on to. I'm the poster child for misery.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Oh no, one is more woe than me. Then please
- 3:31Speaker 2: don't let Steve try to take that from you. You
- 3:33Speaker 2: go ahead and hang on to that. But let me
- 3:35Speaker 2: tell you something though. If that's what you're gonna hang
- 3:38Speaker 2: on to, that's what you're gonna always be the poster
- 3:41Speaker 2: child for misery. At one point in time, you're gonna
- 3:44Speaker 2: have to get on and move past it. You Sometimes, man,
- 3:47Speaker 2: it's merely a simple thing of taking it to God
- 3:50Speaker 2: and leaving it there. You know, some people don't have
- 3:53Speaker 2: money for therapy. Some people don't even know who to
- 3:56Speaker 2: call for therapy. God is the best psychology just in
- 4:00Speaker 2: the world. He can fix it for you. There is
- 4:03Speaker 2: nothing too hard for God. You know when something seems impossible, y'all?
- 4:08Speaker 2: God does the impossible all the time every day.
- 4:12Speaker 1: You won't know how I know.
- 4:14Speaker 2: I just look at a couple basic things. Do you
- 4:16Speaker 2: know that that sun comes up every day in the morning.
- 4:19Speaker 2: It comes up in the east and it sets in
- 4:21Speaker 2: the west. You can't do nothing about that. All you
- 4:25Speaker 2: can you can wish because you plant at your flowers
- 4:28Speaker 2: on a certain side of your house.
- 4:29Speaker 1: You can wish all you want.
- 4:31Speaker 2: And maybe one day he would bring it up out
- 4:32Speaker 2: the northwest, so those flowers would be No. Now it's
- 4:36Speaker 2: gonna come up out the east. And once the sun
- 4:39Speaker 2: hits the horizon. When you look in the water, like
- 4:42Speaker 2: if you ever out in La and you see the
- 4:44Speaker 2: sun going down. Once the sun once you can visually
- 4:47Speaker 2: see the sun touching the horizon, you have three minutes.
- 4:51Speaker 2: You have exactly three minutes. You can sit there with
- 4:54Speaker 2: your watch, you can time, Yeah, three minutes and it's gone.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Three minutes is gone. I read that somewhere and then
- 5:01Speaker 2: I went and tried it. It's gone every day if
- 5:05Speaker 2: it's clear enough not cloudy. Once the sun touches the horizon.
- 5:09Speaker 2: On water, you got three minutes. When the wind blows,
- 5:14Speaker 2: you can't do nothing about it. He can bring it
- 5:16Speaker 2: from the northeast. He can bring it from the west,
- 5:18Speaker 2: he can bring from south. He can bring it hard,
- 5:21Speaker 2: he can bring it cool, he can bring it hot.
- 5:23Speaker 2: It's certain things that God does the impossible all the time.
- 5:27Speaker 2: How those stars sitting up there, How can you find
- 5:30Speaker 2: these constellations, the big dipp of the Little Dipper, Ryan
- 5:33Speaker 2: the Hunter, Oh that's God.
- 5:35Speaker 1: God. Ain't nothing you can do about it.
- 5:37Speaker 2: You can't reach them stars, you can't shoot at them,
- 5:40Speaker 2: you can't move them out the way. Or Ryan the
- 5:42Speaker 2: Hunter's belt. There's gonna beat them three stars out of ankle.
- 5:45Speaker 2: You can call it what you want to call it. Still,
- 5:47Speaker 2: that's what it is. See, he does the impossible all
- 5:49Speaker 2: the time. He created heaven and Earth. You're saying that
- 5:54Speaker 2: God can't get you through your past. Somebody did this
- 5:58Speaker 2: to me.
- 5:59Speaker 1: It's the worst thing I had, the worst childhood of anybody.
- 6:02Speaker 1: God can't get you past that.
- 6:04Speaker 2: He can move heaven, mountains, Earth, he can form the
- 6:08Speaker 2: Grand canyon. He can make the water come over Niagara
- 6:11Speaker 2: Falls twenty four seven. He can't fix yo little bitty
- 6:16Speaker 2: past yours. It's amazing how people make their problems bigger
- 6:21Speaker 2: than God. Somebody told me one time, stop telling God
- 6:26Speaker 2: how big your problems are, and start telling your problems
- 6:31Speaker 2: how big God is.
- 6:33Speaker 1: And go on with your life.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Quit driving your car looking in the rear view mirror.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Ain't nothing back there but your past.
- 6:41Speaker 2: And if it was hurtful or painful, or something you
- 6:44Speaker 2: just felt like you can't get over, take your problems.
- 6:47Speaker 1: To God and leave them there.
- 6:48Speaker 2: You hear the old spiritual all you've heard it, take
- 6:51Speaker 2: your birdens to the Lord, leave them yet all the time.
- 6:55Speaker 1: But you think that applies to everyone.
- 6:57Speaker 2: But you come on, man, a lot of people out
- 7:01Speaker 2: there going through much worse than you have and have
- 7:03Speaker 2: overcome it all. Why won't you take the step to
- 7:07Speaker 2: overcome your past so you can get on with driving
- 7:09Speaker 2: your car and see what God trying to take you.
- 7:12Speaker 1: But it's a trick of the enemy.
- 7:14Speaker 2: The enemy tricks you from seeing your future by having
- 7:17Speaker 2: you constantly looking in your past. Man, it's a trick
- 7:21Speaker 2: of the devil. If the devil just let you quit.
- 7:24Speaker 2: If he would just let you get to drive in
- 7:27Speaker 2: your car. Look out into your future. Your future shows hopefulness.
- 7:32Speaker 2: You have hope when you see the future. But he
- 7:35Speaker 2: can keep you in misery if he keep you looking
- 7:38Speaker 2: at your miserable past. God looking for you, man, God
- 7:42Speaker 2: would love to hear from you. Let's spend some time
- 7:45Speaker 2: talking to God today. Hey God, what's happening.
- 7:49Speaker 1: It's me.
- 7:50Speaker 2: I know I ain't talk to you in a while,
- 7:51Speaker 2: but am feel bad about that. But I need you.
- 7:55Speaker 1: He know that. Everybody should say that prayer all the time.
- 7:58Speaker 1: It's cool, all right. Listening to the Steve Harvey Morning
