- 0:17Speaker 1: Father, we give you all the praise. We give you
- 0:20Speaker 1: all the glory.
- 0:22Speaker 2: In the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Amen. You may all be seated.
- 0:28Speaker 2: And let's put our hands together for Apostle Grace Lobelna.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Such a prophetic word for this time, huh?
- 0:44Speaker 1: All right.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Second session, which will be our final session, a possible
- 0:48Speaker 2: back in the evening with our next speaker also. I
- 0:52Speaker 2: need to introduce our friend from.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Kenya, Nairobi Kenya.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Bishop Kula from Nairobi Kenya.
- 1:03Speaker 1: May I stand to your feet? Thank you.
- 1:12Speaker 2: His flight was delayed, so he landed at 4 a.m.
- 1:14Speaker 2: So we thank you for your sacrifice that you're here
- 1:16Speaker 2: right this morning.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Amen. All right.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Our next speaker, Apostle Joshua Selman.
- 1:26Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:30Speaker 2: I don't want to repeat what I said yesterday, but
- 1:36Speaker 2: after his ministration, you understand what we are saying.
- 1:39Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:42Speaker 2: He's bringing a perspective to the message in this country
- 1:46Speaker 2: that is very unique. And you can't... God puts people
- 1:55Speaker 2: in certain locations so that they can interpret that, you know,
- 2:01Speaker 2: it's called the manifold wisdom of God. So the wisdom
- 2:04Speaker 2: of God has many sides to it. And so he's
- 2:07Speaker 2: bringing a side and dimension of God's wisdom to this generation.
- 2:12Speaker 2: That is very bold. That message you preached yesterday was
- 2:16Speaker 2: a bold message.
- 2:18Speaker 3: Alright?
- 2:19Speaker 2: He crossed boundaries. You know, when you get to a point,
- 2:23Speaker 2: you look at it and say, let's not say he
- 2:27Speaker 2: broke the boundaries there. And he broke it in accuracy
- 2:30Speaker 2: in the spirit. And you should listen to that message
- 2:32Speaker 2: over and over.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Alright?
- 2:34Speaker 2: You should listen to that message over and over. Because
- 2:36Speaker 2: that message in itself has real healing in it. It
- 2:43Speaker 2: explains a lot of things. What he said in passing
- 2:47Speaker 2: is very true. COVID made some people stop coming to
- 2:51Speaker 2: church who have always wanted to stop coming. And so
- 2:56Speaker 2: when there was COVID, they just took it as an
- 2:59Speaker 2: exit because they got to a point in their walk
- 3:02Speaker 2: with God that some things were not being explained to
- 3:06Speaker 2: them that they were experiencing. And he went into that
- 3:10Speaker 2: dimension there.
- 3:11Speaker 1: All right.
- 3:12Speaker 2: And the reason why he can't speak like that is
- 3:15Speaker 2: because of his background, where he's coming from. I won't
- 3:18Speaker 2: say more than that. Let's rise to our feet and
- 3:20Speaker 2: welcome Apostle Joshua Selma.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Hallelujah.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Hallelujah. Good morning. Good morning. Pastor Poggio, thank you again.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Thank you sincerely.
- 3:47Speaker 4: And I want us to honor and appreciate Apostle Grace Lubega.
- 3:52Speaker 4: I didn't... Sadly, I thought I'd be able to follow
- 3:57Speaker 4: his teaching. I always like to connect with whoever speaks
- 4:00Speaker 4: before me, but then I can assure.
- 4:02Speaker 1: You that you were blessed. Am I right on that?
- 4:06Speaker 1: Blessings to him again. Let's give him a big hand clap.
- 4:10Speaker 3: And then....
- 4:14Speaker 1: It's good to see you, Reverend Kula. Thank you.
- 4:16Speaker 4: We really honor you, sir, in the name of Jesus Christ.
- 4:21Speaker 4: Let's lift our hands one more time to the one
- 4:25Speaker 4: who grants wisdom and the one who grants grace. Let's
- 4:29Speaker 4: ask him to speak to us this morning and challenge
- 4:33Speaker 4: our hearts in the name of Jesus. Remember, the Bible says,
- 4:37Speaker 4: for everyone that asketh, receiveth.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Thank you, Jesus, for understanding.
- 4:56Speaker 5: Let your spirit, spirit of wisdom, rest on me, rest
- 5:04Speaker 5: on me. Let your spirit, spirit of wisdom rest on me,
- 5:13Speaker 5: rest on me.
- 5:15Speaker 6: Oh, rest on me. Oh, rest on me.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Oh, rest on me.
- 5:30Speaker 5: Spirit of wisdom, rest on me. Let your power, Holy
- 5:39Speaker 5: Ghost power, rest.
- 5:42Speaker 6: On me, rest on me.
- 5:46Speaker 5: Let your power, Holy Ghost power, rest.
- 5:51Speaker 6: On me, rest on me. Oh, rest on me. Oh,
- 6:03Speaker 6: rest on me.
- 6:08Speaker 5: Let your power, power to prosper.
- 6:13Speaker 3: Rest on me, rest on me.
- 6:15Speaker 5: Let your power, power to prosper. Rest on me, rest
- 6:23Speaker 5: on me.
- 6:55Speaker 4: Father in the name of Jesus we pray that our
- 6:59Speaker 4: speakings would not just be in the wisdom of men
- 7:03Speaker 4: but in the power of God. I pray that you
- 7:06Speaker 4: grant us understanding and cause us to pray and prevail.
- 7:12Speaker 1: In Jesus' name we pray. Amen and amen.
- 7:16Speaker 4: I felt stirred in my heart while preparing for this
- 7:21Speaker 4: session that we'll be doing a lot of praying within
- 7:24Speaker 4: the time that we have. I just sense in my
- 7:28Speaker 4: spirit that God truly wants.
- 7:31Speaker 1: To release something tonight. Hallelujah.
- 7:34Speaker 4: And I believe that God is building momentum through all
- 7:37Speaker 4: the teachings in the morning as we just prepare for
- 7:41Speaker 4: a very serious release tonight.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Hallelujah. Please be seated.
- 7:47Speaker 4: We'll pray once and again within the course of the
- 7:50Speaker 4: time that I have.
- 7:52Speaker 1: And I hope that you do not mind. In the
- 7:55Speaker 1: name of Jesus Christ. Hallelujah. I want to challenge us
- 8:00Speaker 1: in the area of prayer this morning. morning.
- 8:06Speaker 4: Mark chapter 11, 23 and 24.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Jesus was teaching.
- 8:11Speaker 4: He used the event, cursing the fig tree, and then
- 8:16Speaker 4: he began to establish the matters of faith. 23 says,
- 8:20Speaker 4: Verily I say unto you, that whatsoever that whosoever shall
- 8:27Speaker 4: say to this mountain, be thou removed from And be
- 8:32Speaker 4: thou cast into the sea.
- 8:34Speaker 1: And shall not doubt in his heart.
- 8:37Speaker 4: But believe that those things which he saith shall.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Come to pass.
- 8:41Speaker 4: The Bible says he shall have whatsoever he saith. The
- 8:46Speaker 4: next verse 24. Therefore I say unto you. What things
- 8:51Speaker 4: so ever ye desire.
- 8:54Speaker 1: When ye pray.
- 8:58Speaker 4: Believe that ye receive them and thou shall have them.
- 9:04Speaker 4: So we see a straight line connecting desires, prayers, believing, receiving,
- 9:11Speaker 4: and having. It is the complete faith equation that Jesus
- 9:17Speaker 4: gives there. Desires, prayer, believing while you pray, receiving while
- 9:23Speaker 4: you pray, then having as a manifestation. And so you
- 9:28Speaker 4: cannot take prayer out of the faith equation. It is
- 9:31Speaker 4: a vital component in the faith equation. Jesus himself is
- 9:36Speaker 4: teaching and he says that the only way desires can
- 9:40Speaker 4: become your having, your manifestation, is that somewhere in the
- 9:44Speaker 4: faith equation.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Prayer has a role to play. Are we together? Very,
- 9:49Speaker 1: very powerful.
- 9:50Speaker 4: James chapter 5, we'll read 13, then we'll jump to 16.
- 9:56Speaker 1: He says, is any man among you aff?
- 10:01Speaker 4: The word afflicted there does not just mean plagued with
- 10:03Speaker 4: infirmity alone. Experiencing any kind of constraint that impedes you
- 10:10Speaker 4: walking in victory. He says, let him, such an individual
- 10:15Speaker 4: who The moment you come into an awareness that there
- 10:18Speaker 4: is any kind of constraint that can spy upon your
- 10:22Speaker 4: liberty in Christ, the apostle recommends that your first port
- 10:27Speaker 4: of call is to pray.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Hallelujah. But not any kind of prayer.
- 10:32Speaker 4: There is a recommended prayer that deals with this situation.
- 10:37Speaker 4: Verse 16, he now says, the effectual, please give it
- 10:41Speaker 4: to us. He says, confess your faults to one another.
- 10:44Speaker 4: And pray for one another that you may be healed.
- 10:47Speaker 4: Then he says, the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous
- 10:54Speaker 4: man availeth much. The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man,
- 11:04Speaker 4: the Bible says, availeth much. And I just want to
- 11:08Speaker 4: charge our hearts.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Along this line.
- 11:10Speaker 4: So prayer is a major component in manifesting Bible faith.
- 11:15Speaker 4: It is very important that we establish this. Prayer is
- 11:19Speaker 4: a major component in manifesting Bible faith. That anyone, any
- 11:25Speaker 4: believer in Christ who will and must manifest Bible faith,
- 11:30Speaker 4: it is important for you to know that prayer is
- 11:33Speaker 4: part of the faith equation. that brings manifestation to the
- 11:38Speaker 4: things that we desire are we together very quickly just
- 11:43Speaker 4: for understanding according to scripture prayer has four major assignments
- 11:49Speaker 4: in the life of a believer and if you allow
- 11:52Speaker 4: me just run through them i'm not teaching on them
- 11:54Speaker 4: but just for understanding so that we understand the things
- 11:57Speaker 4: that i say afterwards there are four Biblical assignments of prayer.
- 12:04Speaker 4: It's important that you know to what end the believer
- 12:07Speaker 4: is mandated to pray. Most people pray but they really
- 12:12Speaker 4: do not know the assignment of prayer. It's an uncomfortable
- 12:17Speaker 4: truth but prayer is not the key to everything.
- 12:21Speaker 1: But prayer must be involved in everything.
- 12:24Speaker 4: The assumption that prayer is the key to everything simply
- 12:28Speaker 4: because of the role it carries is not accurate. We
- 12:31Speaker 4: are emotionally connected to prayer in Africa for a very
- 12:34Speaker 4: good reason. But it's important to know that as potent
- 12:37Speaker 4: as prayer is, it is one of the keys of
- 12:41Speaker 4: the kingdom. But the unique nature of the prayer ministry
- 12:46Speaker 4: is that when it is not the key, it becomes
- 12:49Speaker 4: the hand that holds the key.
- 12:51Speaker 1: So it is involved in every aspect of our lives.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Are we together?
- 12:56Speaker 4: The Bible says be anxious for nothing. Then it says
- 12:59Speaker 4: in everything. So there is no matter in a man's
- 13:02Speaker 4: life that prayer becomes unnecessary.
- 13:04Speaker 1: However, there are keys.
- 13:06Speaker 4: It connects to other components in the kingdom to produce victory.
- 13:10Speaker 1: If we are together, say amen.
- 13:13Speaker 4: So four assignments of prayer very quickly. Number one, the
- 13:17Speaker 4: first assignment of prayer, which is a more superior assignment
- 13:21Speaker 4: of prayer.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Is for your growth and transformation.
- 13:25Speaker 4: Most believers do not understand this aspect of prayer. It
- 13:29Speaker 4: is the reason why our prayer lives are stunted in
- 13:33Speaker 4: many ways. Because the most superior assignment of prayer is
- 13:38Speaker 4: not just for needs and petitions. It's a system that
- 13:41Speaker 4: was designed for our growth.
- 13:44Speaker 1: And our transformation.
- 13:45Speaker 4: Luke 9.29 says, The Bible says as he prayed, the
- 13:50Speaker 4: fashion of his countenance was altered. And his raiment became
- 13:54Speaker 4: white and glittering. When we pray, we evolve. When we pray,
- 13:59Speaker 4: we become. When we pray, there is a transition that
- 14:02Speaker 4: happens to us in the spirit. That a weak you
- 14:05Speaker 4: can become a strong you.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Are we together? A fearful you can become a bold you.
- 14:10Speaker 4: There is an exchange that happens in the place of prayer.
- 14:17Speaker 4: And most people have not understood this dimension of prayer.
- 14:20Speaker 4: Number two, the second assignment of prayer according to scripture
- 14:25Speaker 4: is to make requests and obtain promises. We considered a
- 14:30Speaker 4: bit of that in passing yesterday. Prayer is a platform
- 14:35Speaker 4: to make requests and to obtain promises.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Hallelujah.
- 14:42Speaker 4: The Bible says in Philippians chapter 4 and verse 6,
- 14:44Speaker 4: we read that, I just quoted that not too long,
- 14:47Speaker 4: it says, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer,
- 14:52Speaker 4: that platform of prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, it says,
- 14:57Speaker 4: let your requests be made known. Don't assume they are
- 15:01Speaker 4: made known. Let your requests be made known.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Hallelujah.
- 15:05Speaker 4: Number three, the third assignment of prayer according to scripture says,
- 15:10Speaker 4: is for decrees and establishing spiritual realities. We use prayer
- 15:17Speaker 4: as the platform to make decrees, to create possibilities, to
- 15:22Speaker 4: establish spiritual realities.
- 15:24Speaker 1: Are we still together?
- 15:25Speaker 4: Job chapter 22 and verse 28 says, He says, and
- 15:30Speaker 4: thou shalt decree, not assume, not wish. Thou shalt decree
- 15:34Speaker 4: a thing. And the thing that you decree, not the
- 15:37Speaker 4: thing that you want or wish, shall be established unto thee.
- 15:43Speaker 4: Thou shalt decree a thing. And it shall be established
- 15:47Speaker 4: unto thee. The fourth assignment of prayer according.
- 15:51Speaker 1: To scripture is for warfare and intercession.
- 15:57Speaker 4: This is a dimension of prayer. Warfare and intercession.
- 16:02Speaker 1: This is very important. The Bible already told us in
- 16:05Speaker 1: John chapter 10 and verse 10.
- 16:07Speaker 4: That Satan is called the thief and that he comes
- 16:11Speaker 4: with the singular.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Goal of stealing, killing and destruction.
- 16:16Speaker 4: Apostle Peter charged us in 1 Peter 5 and verse
- 16:19Speaker 4: 8 to be sober and to be vigilant. He says
- 16:23Speaker 4: for your adversary the devil like a roaring lion walketh
- 16:28Speaker 4: about seeking.
- 16:29Speaker 1: Whom he may devour.
- 16:31Speaker 3: Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
- 16:35Speaker 4: And then of course, Ezekiel chapter 22, I believe verse 30,
- 16:38Speaker 4: it says, and I sought for a man, I like
- 16:41Speaker 4: that scripture, among them that he should make up the
- 16:45Speaker 4: hedge and stand in the gap before me for the
- 16:48Speaker 4: land that I should not destroy it, but I found none.
- 16:52Speaker 4: So prayer becomes a prophetic platform for warfare.
- 16:56Speaker 1: What is warfare?
- 16:57Speaker 4: Engaging through the understanding of scripture and establishing the victory
- 17:02Speaker 4: that is in Christ.
- 17:04Speaker 1: You see that now, over the.
- 17:06Speaker 4: Situations that attempt to fight and plague the authority in Christ.
- 17:13Speaker 1: It's important that you understand this. But you see, when
- 17:16Speaker 1: it has.
- 17:17Speaker 4: To do with prayer, there are various kinds of prayer
- 17:21Speaker 4: that the Bible identifies.
- 17:22Speaker 1: I'm not going into that. This is a charge this
- 17:24Speaker 1: morning so that we pray.
- 17:26Speaker 4: The Bible tells us there is something called praying amiss.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Am I right on that?
- 17:34Speaker 4: There are all kinds of prayer and the Bible is
- 17:37Speaker 4: very clear as to the fact that not every kind.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Of prayer produces power.
- 17:42Speaker 4: There is a recommended kind of prayer and a pattern
- 17:46Speaker 4: of prayer that produces power.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Hallelujah. Two conditions according.
- 17:52Speaker 4: To James chapter 5 and verse 16 that must be
- 17:55Speaker 4: captured in the prayer of the righteous to produce power.
- 17:59Speaker 4: I want you to please listen now. There are two
- 18:02Speaker 4: important components as revealed in chapter 16 of James 5.
- 18:09Speaker 4: That if and when they are not captured in your prayer,
- 18:12Speaker 4: your prayer cannot produce power. Number one, the Bible says
- 18:18Speaker 4: the effectual fervent. I like to reverse it for the
- 18:22Speaker 4: sake of our understanding. So number one, the Bible talks
- 18:26Speaker 4: about fervency. That the prayer of the believer that produces power.
- 18:33Speaker 4: Power to influence. Power to manipulate. Power to establish. According
- 18:39Speaker 4: to divine order. Must be prayer that is fervent. What
- 18:43Speaker 4: does it mean to be fervent? It means from the heart.
- 18:47Speaker 1: It means with zeal. With passion. And with truthfulness. Are
- 18:51Speaker 1: we together? Very important.
- 18:54Speaker 4: Jeremiah 29 and verse 13. In the dealings of God
- 18:57Speaker 4: with men. We learn from scripture and even from experience
- 19:01Speaker 4: that God seems to respond to passion.
- 19:05Speaker 1: And sincerity and hunger.
- 19:08Speaker 4: It seems to me like the spirit of God does
- 19:10Speaker 4: not pay so much respect to laxity and carelessness. God
- 19:14Speaker 4: wants to see intention and fire. Even in error, he
- 19:18Speaker 4: respects the passion and corrects you. There is nowhere God
- 19:23Speaker 4: sees passion that he ignores. Thou son of David, have
- 19:27Speaker 4: mercy on me. I don't know whether what I'm doing
- 19:30Speaker 4: is right or wrong, but I'm not going to let
- 19:32Speaker 4: you go if I may but touch the hem of
- 19:34Speaker 4: his garment. Every time God sees passion, he interprets it
- 19:39Speaker 4: as the person being serious, even if in ignorance. So
- 19:44Speaker 4: the Bible says, the fervent, are we together? The fervent
- 19:49Speaker 4: from the heart jeremiah 29 13 he says and you shall.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Seek me and find me when ye shall search for
- 19:58Speaker 1: me with all your heart.
- 20:01Speaker 4: There is a level of seriousness and intention that must
- 20:05Speaker 4: be invested in the prayer of the righteous.
- 20:09Speaker 1: If it is to produce power.
- 20:10Speaker 4: 2 Chronicles chapter 15.
- 20:13Speaker 1: We'll read verse 12. Then for time we'll jump to 15.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Is God helping us already?
- 20:19Speaker 4: The Bible says, And they, the nation of Judah, they
- 20:23Speaker 4: entered into a covenant.
- 20:25Speaker 1: Watch this. To seek the Lord God of their fathers
- 20:28Speaker 1: with all their heart and with all their soul.
- 20:34Speaker 4: Notice now. All of them was plunged into that covenant.
- 20:38Speaker 4: Verse 16.
- 20:40Speaker 1: The Bible says. And all Judah rejoiced at the oath.
- 20:43Speaker 1: For they had.
- 20:44Speaker 4: Okay thank you. Give us verse 15. Just stop at
- 20:48Speaker 4: verse 15. Did I give you?
- 20:49Speaker 1: Yeah, 15 is fine.
- 20:51Speaker 4: And all Judah rejoiced at the oath for they had
- 20:54Speaker 4: sworn with all their heart. And the Bible says they
- 20:58Speaker 4: sought him with their whole desire.
- 21:00Speaker 1: What was the result?
- 21:01Speaker 4: He was found of them and the Lord gave them
- 21:05Speaker 4: rest round about.
- 21:07Speaker 1: The Bible says the fervent.
- 21:10Speaker 4: You want the kind of prayer that changes things, changes.
- 21:14Speaker 1: You and through you influences your world. It is prayer
- 21:18Speaker 1: that comes with fervency, zeal, passion, seriousness.
- 21:23Speaker 4: There were people in the Bible God did not take
- 21:26Speaker 4: serious and the Bible was not quiet about it. It
- 21:30Speaker 4: was clear that God did not have respect for them
- 21:33Speaker 4: because there was no fervency and no passion invested in
- 21:38Speaker 4: their commitment. Whether their relationship or their activity. The first
- 21:42Speaker 4: of such expressions as we see was in the life
- 21:47Speaker 4: of Cain and Abel. The nature of their investment in
- 21:51Speaker 4: their sacrifices changed. And the violation of patterns or the
- 21:56Speaker 4: observance of patterns led one sacrifice to be accepted and
- 22:01Speaker 4: the other God did not have respect for it.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Hallelujah. Fervency, zeal and passion.
- 22:10Speaker 4: The Bible said this about Jesus himself that the zeal
- 22:13Speaker 4: of the Lord's house had consumed him.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Is that true?
- 22:19Speaker 4: This is the reason why he frowns at lukewarmness in
- 22:23Speaker 4: Revelation chapter 2. He wrote to one of the churches,
- 22:27Speaker 4: I think to Ephesus or thereabout or Philadelphia, one of them.
- 22:30Speaker 4: And he says, I wish that thou art hot or
- 22:34Speaker 4: at least cold.
- 22:35Speaker 1: If you are hot, I commend you.
- 22:37Speaker 4: If you are cold, I redeem you. But now you
- 22:39Speaker 4: are lukewarm. You are in between. Every time God saw
- 22:45Speaker 4: people who swung to one side of the pendulum, if
- 22:47Speaker 4: they needed deliverance, they admitted it and they were delivered.
- 22:51Speaker 4: If they were vibrant and full of fire, he would
- 22:54Speaker 4: commend them. But he always frowned at people who were non-challenged, passive, careless,
- 23:00Speaker 4: even about spiritual things.
- 23:02Speaker 1: Someone say fervent. One more time, say fervent.
- 23:06Speaker 4: That when believers pray, it is important for them to
- 23:10Speaker 4: have this understanding that they are not praying to an idol.
- 23:13Speaker 1: And all of them must be invested in that prayer.
- 23:19Speaker 4: Number two, this is the part that I want us
- 23:22Speaker 4: to look closely to. Because in truthful submission, especially within
- 23:28Speaker 4: the continent of Africa, I think we've done a good
- 23:30Speaker 4: job in the area of fervency in prayer. The average
- 23:34Speaker 4: African prays with zeal, with passion, or at least.
- 23:37Speaker 1: A semblance of it. Am I right on that?
- 23:41Speaker 4: Now, the second word that must be captured in our
- 23:47Speaker 4: prayer to produce power is called effectual.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Effectual. Let me your attention. This is my message. What
- 23:56Speaker 1: does it mean to be effectual?
- 23:58Speaker 4: Effectual means to use or to engage in a way
- 24:04Speaker 4: that avoids loss or waste of time and energy.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Listen carefully. Effectual by definition.
- 24:13Speaker 4: Means to use or to engage in a way that
- 24:20Speaker 4: avoids loss, L-O-S-S, or.
- 24:24Speaker 1: Waste of time.
- 24:27Speaker 4: So you are effectual to the degree to which you
- 24:30Speaker 4: are efficient and there is minimal loss of energy, of
- 24:35Speaker 4: time and resources.
- 24:38Speaker 1: Am I right on that?
- 24:39Speaker 4: The Bible says the kind of prayer that produces power
- 24:43Speaker 4: in the spirit is prayer that is number one, fervent.
- 24:49Speaker 1: Your heart condition, your zeal, your passion.
- 24:52Speaker 4: But number two, it says it must be effectual. Most
- 25:00Speaker 4: believers I observed here, they pray fervent, sincere, heartfelt prayers.
- 25:07Speaker 4: But very few believers pray effectual prayers. Remember, we're going
- 25:13Speaker 4: to pray. What then makes prayers effectual? It's important for
- 25:19Speaker 4: us to understand. At what point do you know that
- 25:23Speaker 4: your prayer is effectual?
- 25:25Speaker 1: Is it by the sound of your voice?
- 25:27Speaker 4: Is it by the motions that follow the prayer as
- 25:30Speaker 4: well intentioned.
- 25:31Speaker 1: As they are? Let me show you from scripture. Are
- 25:35Speaker 1: you ready? What makes prayers effectual, listen, is the.
- 25:40Speaker 4: Degree to which the will of God is captured in
- 25:44Speaker 4: that prayer. You have to understand this. What makes prayer effectual.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Is.
- 25:51Speaker 4: Not the sincerity of the one praying alone. The degree
- 25:55Speaker 4: to which the will of God is captured in that
- 25:58Speaker 4: prayer operation.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Is what makes prayer effectual. So the Bible says. The effectual.
- 26:06Speaker 4: Fervent prayer of the righteous. If it is truly effectual.
- 26:11Speaker 4: And if it is truly fervent.
- 26:13Speaker 1: The Bible says it produces power. Are we learning now?
- 26:21Speaker 1: So what makes prayer.
- 26:23Speaker 4: Effectual, I repeat, is the degree to which the will
- 26:27Speaker 4: of God is captured in that prayer. The word compliancy
- 26:33Speaker 4: of your prayer is what makes it powerful. Not just
- 26:37Speaker 4: the spirituality of the activity of prayer. The degree to
- 26:43Speaker 4: which you are praying the will of God is where
- 26:46Speaker 4: the guarantee for answer and power lies in.
- 26:50Speaker 1: If you're understanding me, say amen. Now write this down please.
- 26:55Speaker 4: Praying the will of God is beyond attaching scriptures to prayer.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Just listen carefully. You came to church.
- 27:08Speaker 4: Praying the will of God is beyond attaching scripture because
- 27:13Speaker 4: you will be learning that the Bible is a prophetic book.
- 27:15Speaker 4: You can make it speak anything you want to hear.
- 27:18Speaker 4: So just because a scripture was connected to what you
- 27:21Speaker 4: are saying does not mean When Satan wanted to bring
- 27:26Speaker 4: Jesus down, he started by just talking casually.
- 27:30Speaker 1: But when Jesus responded, it is written.
- 27:32Speaker 4: From then on, every other thing he said, he connected
- 27:35Speaker 4: it to scripture.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Yet it was not the will of God. Is that
- 27:38Speaker 1: in your Bible? So just because you found a scripture
- 27:42Speaker 1: for what you want, does not mean it's the will
- 27:44Speaker 1: of God. Say amen.
- 27:56Speaker 4: I promise that we're going to be praying so we'll
- 27:58Speaker 4: soon pray. Maybe in the next five minutes we'll pray
- 28:00Speaker 4: and then we'll continue.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Are we learning now? Yes, sir.
- 28:06Speaker 4: So when you pray consistent with the will of God,
- 28:11Speaker 4: the Bible leaves us with an assurance that your prayer
- 28:14Speaker 4: becomes effectual.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Effectual. This is very powerful. I will talk a bit
- 28:22Speaker 1: about this.
- 28:23Speaker 4: But let's go to 1 John chapter 5 and verse 14.
- 28:26Speaker 4: May I request that we read in concert when we
- 28:28Speaker 4: have it projected.
- 28:29Speaker 3: Ready?
- 28:30Speaker 1: One to read.
- 28:32Speaker 4: And this is the confidence that we have in him.
- 28:35Speaker 4: That if we ask anything according to his will, he
- 28:41Speaker 4: heareth us.
- 28:41Speaker 1: One more time please. And this is the confidence that.
- 28:46Speaker 4: We have in him, that if we ask anything according
- 28:50Speaker 4: to his will, he heareth us. Verse 15, if you
- 28:54Speaker 4: do not mind. And if we know that he heareth
- 28:58Speaker 4: us whatsoever we ask, we know that we have our.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Petitions that we desired of him. Hallelujah. Ephesians chapter 5,
- 29:09Speaker 1: when we read 15.
- 29:10Speaker 4: To 17, Paul makes a profound statement that I did
- 29:13Speaker 4: not understand for many years. He said, see that he
- 29:16Speaker 4: walks circumspectly. The word circumspect is accurately.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Are we together?
- 29:23Speaker 4: Accurately, not as fools, but as wise. Where is the
- 29:28Speaker 4: wisdom in that statement? He says you are wise when
- 29:31Speaker 4: you redeem time because the days are evil. Are we
- 29:34Speaker 4: together now? That means according to Paul's understanding, the most
- 29:38Speaker 4: expensive commodity on earth.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Is time.
- 29:41Speaker 4: He says in all your living, do not waste time.
- 29:43Speaker 4: And that you must master the art of redeeming time.
- 29:47Speaker 4: And the wisdom to redeem time according to this scripture.
- 29:50Speaker 4: In verse 17 he says. Wherefore be ye not unwise.
- 29:55Speaker 4: But understanding what the will of God is. That means
- 29:58Speaker 4: the moment you know the will of God. You redeem time.
- 30:01Speaker 4: Because the time that you move in error and confusion.
- 30:05Speaker 1: And then you return back is minimized.
- 30:08Speaker 4: Designing the will of God is one of the ways
- 30:10Speaker 4: we gain time.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Because you walk accurately. Knowing that you are at the heart.
- 30:15Speaker 1: The epicenter. Of the will of God.
- 30:18Speaker 4: And the apostle calls that wisdom.
- 30:19Speaker 1: Are we together? This is very important.
- 30:27Speaker 4: The entire kingdom system was built around the will of God.
- 30:31Speaker 4: It is important that we understand this believers. The entire
- 30:36Speaker 4: system of the kingdom was built around the will of God.
- 30:39Speaker 4: When Jesus was teaching what we call the Lord's Prayer.
- 30:42Speaker 4: He says when you pray, you pray that your kingdom come.
- 30:46Speaker 4: And then he says thy will be done in earth
- 30:51Speaker 4: as it is in heaven. So you would notice that
- 30:53Speaker 4: the entire economy of heaven revolves around the will of God.
- 30:58Speaker 4: In fact, this is the assignment of the power of
- 31:02Speaker 4: God to maintain the.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Will of God.
- 31:05Speaker 4: In the life of the believer and across the cosmos.
- 31:08Speaker 4: When the will of God is not in place, the
- 31:11Speaker 4: power of God has no assignment. The assignment of the
- 31:14Speaker 4: power of God is.
- 31:15Speaker 1: To enforce and to maintain the will of God.
- 31:21Speaker 4: The reason why the sick are healed is not because
- 31:24Speaker 4: the power of God can heal. It's because sickness is
- 31:27Speaker 4: inconsistent with the will of God. So the power of
- 31:30Speaker 4: God finds an assignment there. What gives the power of
- 31:34Speaker 4: God assignment?
- 31:36Speaker 1: Are we together now?
- 31:37Speaker 4: It's ability to bring all things to line up with
- 31:41Speaker 4: the will of God. If you understand the concept of
- 31:44Speaker 4: the will of God, then you will have power in
- 31:47Speaker 4: your prayer.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Are we together?
- 31:51Speaker 4: Because you see, the first assignment of the believer in
- 31:54Speaker 4: approaching prayer is to understand the will of God concerning
- 31:59Speaker 4: what you are about to pray for.
- 32:01Speaker 1: Or to understand how to find out the will of God.
- 32:05Speaker 4: Making decrees is useless until you ascertain you are in
- 32:08Speaker 4: the will of God.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Are we together now?
- 32:12Speaker 4: Every time you are in ignorance as to the will
- 32:14Speaker 4: of God, your first assignment is to get to a
- 32:18Speaker 4: point of understanding.
- 32:19Speaker 1: And I'm going to be showing you.
- 32:21Speaker 4: So you see that most believers do all kinds of
- 32:24Speaker 4: things around the place of prayer.
- 32:25Speaker 1: And just because sincere energy.
- 32:27Speaker 4: Was dissipated, we hope that God will sympathize with our
- 32:31Speaker 4: passion and somehow answer it. You see, God has bound
- 32:35Speaker 4: himself to honor his word. The Bible says he exalts
- 32:39Speaker 4: his word even above his office.
- 32:44Speaker 1: If you are learning, say Amen.
- 32:48Speaker 4: So the Bible talks about the will of God as
- 32:51Speaker 4: the secret that makes prayer powerful. But in truth and
- 32:56Speaker 4: in experience we learn that there are many aspects of
- 32:59Speaker 4: the will of God that are clear and known from scripture.
- 33:03Speaker 4: But from a pragmatic standpoint, there are times where unique
- 33:07Speaker 4: to your destiny, you will be at a loss as
- 33:11Speaker 4: to the unique expression of God's will. A provision was
- 33:15Speaker 4: made in our dealings with God where men can tap
- 33:18Speaker 4: into that intelligence. Are we together now? That the will
- 33:22Speaker 4: of God that was prior to that time not known,
- 33:26Speaker 4: it can be known.
- 33:27Speaker 1: This is where the Holy Spirit comes in. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
- 33:33Speaker 1: So very quickly, two ways to pray the will of God.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Are we learning? Number one. Perhaps let me back down a.
- 33:50Speaker 4: Bit and just establish a few things and then we'll understand.
- 33:56Speaker 4: There are three layers to scripture and I want you
- 33:59Speaker 4: to please listen. This Bible you see essentially has at
- 34:05Speaker 4: least three layers.
- 34:06Speaker 1: There could be more. But there are three layers to
- 34:09Speaker 1: the Bible.
- 34:09Speaker 4: Number one, there is a historic slash archaeological layer to scripture.
- 34:16Speaker 4: That means this book you see is also a piece
- 34:20Speaker 4: of archaeological and historic material.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Are we right on that?
- 34:23Speaker 4: There are people who are not Christians and have had
- 34:26Speaker 4: to make reference to the Bible in writing their theses themselves.
- 34:29Speaker 4: And in building up their points for whatever faith practice.
- 34:32Speaker 4: So this is an archaeological material. When you read the Bible,
- 34:36Speaker 4: you see history captured. When you read the Bible, you
- 34:39Speaker 4: see archaeology captured. That is a layer. The second layer
- 34:43Speaker 4: to scripture is called a doctrinal layer. Now this one,
- 34:48Speaker 4: you have to be a believer to have the eyes
- 34:51Speaker 4: that sees and understand.
- 34:53Speaker 1: The doctrinal layer to scripture. Are we together? This is
- 34:56Speaker 1: where the.
- 34:57Speaker 4: Intelligence and the wisdom of God is derived from scripture.
- 35:00Speaker 1: When a historian who is.
- 35:02Speaker 4: Not born again reads the Bible, he cannot see the
- 35:05Speaker 4: doctrinal sense that is connected in it. The Bible just
- 35:09Speaker 4: looks like a gap of events that were put.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Together, canonized together. But there is the doctrinal layer of scripture.
- 35:16Speaker 4: This is where the system of intelligence of the believer
- 35:21Speaker 4: is built around.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Is built around doctrine. Are we together now?
- 35:25Speaker 4: The third layer is called the prophetic layer of scripture.
- 35:29Speaker 1: This one.
- 35:32Speaker 4: It is enhanced when you have a sound understanding of doctrine.
- 35:36Speaker 4: But it is the Holy Spirit that opens you up
- 35:38Speaker 4: to that layer. And you can have revelations that are
- 35:41Speaker 4: not general to everybody.
- 35:42Speaker 1: It is given to you as a unique weapon of victory.
- 35:46Speaker 4: That comes to you as a rhema that you will
- 35:48Speaker 4: engage and produce results. Another person may use it and
- 35:52Speaker 4: it may not work for the person. You can be
- 35:54Speaker 4: praying in scripture for instance. trusting god where do i
- 35:58Speaker 4: establish myself and a scripture will come to you you
- 36:01Speaker 4: have come past this mountain long enough turn northwards that's
- 36:05Speaker 4: not a word for everybody it to you it has
- 36:08Speaker 4: ministered the answer to what you are looking for and
- 36:11Speaker 4: you will follow with literally and it will open a
- 36:14Speaker 4: door for you but another person may apply that scripture
- 36:17Speaker 4: and it will not work for the person there is
- 36:20Speaker 4: a prophetic layer to scripture do you understand this now Yes.
- 36:24Speaker 1: This is very powerful.
- 36:26Speaker 4: It is the reason why the study of scripture outside
- 36:28Speaker 4: of the ministry of the Holy Spirit will lead to
- 36:32Speaker 4: a lot of imbalances.
- 36:35Speaker 1: Because you will find many, many scriptures.
- 36:38Speaker 4: And not be able to connect them intelligently to produce
- 36:42Speaker 4: the will of God. He said ye search the scripture.
- 36:45Speaker 4: For in them you think that. You see what Jesus
- 36:48Speaker 4: was saying? Those guys were studious. But they did not
- 36:51Speaker 4: respect the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
- 36:53Speaker 1: So when Jesus who was the word incarnate when he came.
- 36:56Speaker 1: They could not even connect him with the things they
- 36:58Speaker 1: were studying.
- 36:59Speaker 4: They had the knowledge of scripture but the word incarnate,
- 37:02Speaker 4: the logos of God was standing before them.
- 37:05Speaker 1: And yet how do you have such a rich bank.
- 37:07Speaker 4: Of scripture and then the logos is standing and you
- 37:10Speaker 4: cannot connect two of them.
- 37:15Speaker 1: Hallelujah. Praise the name of the Lord. Number one.
- 37:20Speaker 4: The two ways that we pray the will of God.
- 37:23Speaker 1: In the place of prayer. Is number one. By praying
- 37:27Speaker 1: scripture based prayer. You just write.
- 37:31Speaker 4: Scripture based prayer. Scripture based prayer. I made a statement
- 37:39Speaker 4: earlier on. And it's time to bring it balanced. That
- 37:41Speaker 4: just because you found a scripture. Does not mean you
- 37:44Speaker 4: are in the will of God.
- 37:46Speaker 1: That is true. But generally speaking. When your prayer.
- 37:51Speaker 4: Is word compliant, you must find a scripture according.
- 37:56Speaker 1: To the written word. Are we together now? A scripture
- 37:59Speaker 1: that supports.
- 38:00Speaker 4: This is how the technology of heaven works. Just saying, God,
- 38:04Speaker 4: do it. You said it.
- 38:07Speaker 1: Where?
- 38:11Speaker 4: He said, present your cause. He said, bring forth your
- 38:15Speaker 4: strong reasons. Are we together now? When bland but timid,
- 38:18Speaker 4: you notice bland but timid never said, Jesus have.
- 38:21Speaker 1: Mercy on me.
- 38:22Speaker 4: He said, thou son of David. Jesus understood what he
- 38:25Speaker 4: was saying. You have a covenant with David. There was
- 38:28Speaker 4: a covenant that God had with David. And I'm standing
- 38:31Speaker 4: to invoke that covenant. The woman in Luke chapter 12.
- 38:35Speaker 4: Who had suffered the issue of blood. He said is
- 38:37Speaker 4: this not this woman. Being a daughter of Abraham. There
- 38:42Speaker 4: is a basis.
- 38:45Speaker 1: Not just that she has suffered 18 years. She is
- 38:47Speaker 1: a daughter of Abraham.
- 38:49Speaker 4: And I left Abraham a promise that in thee shall
- 38:52Speaker 4: all the families of the earth be blessed. And part
- 38:55Speaker 4: of the component of that blessing is wholesomeness.
- 38:59Speaker 6: Wholeness.
- 39:00Speaker 1: So this woman's state is.
- 39:02Speaker 4: A demonstration that God is not faithful. And when Jesus
- 39:06Speaker 4: saw it being the express image of God.
- 39:08Speaker 1: He had to change it.
- 39:10Speaker 4: To represent the will of God correctly there.
- 39:13Speaker 1: That was the basis for her healing. Are we together now?
- 39:19Speaker 1: This is very powerful. Scripture based prayer. It is the
- 39:25Speaker 1: reason why believers must be equipped with sufficient understanding of scripture.
- 39:30Speaker 4: So that in the place of prayer you pray with
- 39:32Speaker 4: authority knowing that the written word of god has a
- 39:37Speaker 4: very rich capture a rich expression of his will So
- 39:40Speaker 4: for instance, you are praying and trusting God for healing.
- 39:44Speaker 4: Just saying, God heal me. I know, are you not powerful?
- 39:47Speaker 4: Don't be watching me like that. That is sympathetic prayer.
- 39:51Speaker 4: But it is not fervent, it is not effectual. Because
- 39:54Speaker 4: there is no scriptural basis for your demand.
- 39:59Speaker 1: You see how we pray. An average believer prays this way.
- 40:03Speaker 4: And not to be sarcastic, but just quite honestly. Father,
- 40:07Speaker 4: thank you the whole preambles. You are the lion of
- 40:09Speaker 4: the tribe of Judah, the rose of Sharon, king of kings,
- 40:12Speaker 4: lord of lords. And once we pass that, then we
- 40:14Speaker 4: go straight to the fact that God, I'm here again.
- 40:16Speaker 1: Is it that you are not, you cannot hear me?
- 40:19Speaker 4: You are hearing this one, you are doing this one
- 40:22Speaker 4: in the name of Jesus Christ. I'm telling you now,
- 40:24Speaker 4: you know, and so on and so forth. And then
- 40:26Speaker 4: just because we say amen at the end of what
- 40:28Speaker 4: we're saying. Honestly, it may be sincere prayer, but as
- 40:32Speaker 4: matured believers, we must learn that.
- 40:34Speaker 1: Not every kind of prayer.
- 40:36Speaker 4: God is almighty, but he has bound himself to the
- 40:40Speaker 4: operation of his word. It is the reason why as
- 40:44Speaker 4: powerful as God is, he did not cast sin out
- 40:47Speaker 4: of man. There was a protocol he had to submit
- 40:51Speaker 4: to until man was redeemed. Because it is written that
- 40:55Speaker 4: without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin.
- 40:58Speaker 4: And God who created man and created the law submitted himself.
- 41:02Speaker 4: Not even him could cast away sin from man. When
- 41:07Speaker 4: you understand.
- 41:08Speaker 1: This about God.
- 41:10Speaker 4: That God did not spare his own son. He also
- 41:13Speaker 4: allowed him to submit to what the word said prophetically.
- 41:17Speaker 1: That must be the condition for redemption.
- 41:19Speaker 4: If he did not spare Jesus. God is touched with
- 41:23Speaker 4: the feelings of our infirmity. He's called compassion. But he's
- 41:26Speaker 4: moved with his word.
- 41:27Speaker 1: By his word. To be touched does not mean he
- 41:31Speaker 1: will just act. He's touched. And when God wants to
- 41:34Speaker 1: help you by being touched. He sends you his word.
- 41:39Speaker 4: Is someone learning now? Scripture based prayer. Scripture based prayer.
- 41:50Speaker 4: That every time you are praying. Making your petitions.
- 41:53Speaker 1: You take the time as a responsible believer. To find scriptures.
- 41:58Speaker 1: That supports that which you know. God wants to do
- 42:02Speaker 1: in your life.
- 42:03Speaker 4: Blindly assuming. That God you said you will prosper me.
- 42:06Speaker 4: God I know you. You are too good to allow
- 42:08Speaker 4: me this way. Those things are very sincere.
- 42:11Speaker 1: But you will not get resolved that way. Are we together?
- 42:15Speaker 1: Number two. The second way we pray the will of God.
- 42:25Speaker 4: Is by praying in the spirit. Engaging the wisdom of
- 42:30Speaker 4: the spirit in praying. So as to birth the will
- 42:33Speaker 4: of God.
- 42:34Speaker 1: This is very powerful.
- 42:37Speaker 4: The Bible says in Romans chapter 8 when you read
- 42:39Speaker 4: 26 and 27.
- 42:39Speaker 1: Romans 8, 26 and 27.
- 42:40Speaker 4: Likewise it says, The spirit helped in our infirmity.
- 42:49Speaker 1: What is infirmity there?
- 42:51Speaker 4: Contextually, the word infirmity there does not mean sickness. It
- 42:56Speaker 4: means limitations by reason of wearing a mortal body. We
- 43:00Speaker 4: are limited in our understanding. We see in part and
- 43:04Speaker 4: we prophesy in part because of that limitation. Now, there
- 43:09Speaker 4: are three dimensions of God's nature he did not share
- 43:12Speaker 4: with man. I don't have the time to explain this here,
- 43:15Speaker 4: but it's important for us to know.
- 43:17Speaker 1: When the Bible says we.
- 43:18Speaker 4: Are partakers of his divine nature, it is not every.
- 43:21Speaker 1: Part of his nature he gave man. I hope you
- 43:23Speaker 1: know that.
- 43:24Speaker 4: There are certain dimensions of God's nature that are exclusive
- 43:28Speaker 4: to him.
- 43:29Speaker 1: Three of them. Number one, his omnipresence.
- 43:32Speaker 4: He did not share that with man. Number two, his omnipotence,
- 43:36Speaker 4: the ability to be all-powerful. And then number three, his
- 43:41Speaker 4: ability to be omniscient, all-knowing. These three dimensions of God,
- 43:46Speaker 4: he did not share with man.
- 43:48Speaker 1: They brand him in a class all by himself. Are
- 43:52Speaker 1: we together now?
- 43:53Speaker 4: So man is not all-powerful. Our power is derived. That's
- 43:57Speaker 4: why we have authority. Authority is the legitimacy to use power.
- 44:01Speaker 4: God does not have authority because authority demands that you
- 44:05Speaker 4: must be regulated.
- 44:15Speaker 1: Every time you give a man.
- 44:16Speaker 4: Authority, there must be a system above that man that
- 44:20Speaker 4: supervises the management of that power and authority.
- 44:24Speaker 1: Are we together now? Yes.
- 44:27Speaker 4: I know the Bible says all authority has been given.
- 44:29Speaker 4: Notice Jesus is speaking as a man.
- 44:32Speaker 1: All authority. Authority is given. It is not derived. It
- 44:36Speaker 1: is given. Given by one higher than you.
- 44:39Speaker 4: God was willing to submit if he found someone greater
- 44:42Speaker 4: than him.
- 44:43Speaker 1: But he did not find any. And so that's what
- 44:46Speaker 1: makes him all powerful. You get it now?
- 44:50Speaker 5: Yes.
- 44:51Speaker 1: Demons have power, but they do not have authority.
- 44:55Speaker 4: Authority is the legitimacy to use power. An ambroba has
- 45:00Speaker 4: a gun. A military man has a gun.
- 45:03Speaker 1: They both have power, but one has authority. That's why
- 45:06Speaker 1: he will not be jailed for shooting.
- 45:08Speaker 4: The other guy does not have authority.
- 45:10Speaker 1: Are you getting the point now?
- 45:12Speaker 4: Believers were not just given power. If the only thing
- 45:15Speaker 4: God gave us is power, we're in trouble. It means
- 45:18Speaker 4: we operate just like demon spirits.
- 45:19Speaker 3: Amen.
- 45:20Speaker 1: What gives us.
- 45:21Speaker 4: An edge is that we have authority is the reason
- 45:24Speaker 4: why he honors us when we when we we make
- 45:27Speaker 4: declarations in the spirit because we have power and authority
- 45:32Speaker 4: how did i get here praise god are we together
- 45:34Speaker 4: now yes this is important praying in the spirit So
- 45:44Speaker 4: the Bible says, we're looking at Romans chapter 8 from
- 45:47Speaker 4: verse 26. The Spirit helped our limitations. What is the limitation?
- 45:53Speaker 4: We know not what we should pray for as we ought.
- 45:57Speaker 4: This is the limitation. This is what the Holy Spirit helps.
- 46:01Speaker 4: That there is a deficiency in all men. By reason
- 46:05Speaker 4: of wearing a mortal body. And by reason of the
- 46:08Speaker 4: fallen nature. That we do not have accurate perception. Of
- 46:12Speaker 4: what the will of God is in all matters. This
- 46:15Speaker 4: is why God gave us the Holy Spirit. To become
- 46:18Speaker 4: that advantage to that limitation.
- 46:21Speaker 1: Then the Bible says.
- 46:22Speaker 4: Whoever is aware of such a limitation. will now recognize
- 46:27Speaker 4: that the spirit makes intercession for us with groanings which
- 46:32Speaker 4: cannot be uttered.
- 46:33Speaker 1: The next verse please, 27. The Bible says, he, he being.
- 46:37Speaker 4: The spirit that searched the heart, knoweth what is the
- 46:41Speaker 4: mind of the spirit, because he.
- 46:44Speaker 1: Maketh intercession for the saints.
- 46:46Speaker 3: How?
- 46:47Speaker 1: According to the will of God.
- 46:50Speaker 4: So the recommended approach to pray over a matter where
- 46:56Speaker 4: the will of God is not clear is to pray.
- 46:58Speaker 1: In the spirit.
- 47:00Speaker 4: And that the Bible says there is a transaction that
- 47:02Speaker 4: happens when you pray in the spirit. Eventually the spirit
- 47:06Speaker 4: of God who is also the revealer of the heart
- 47:09Speaker 4: of God. Are we together now? He will meet you
- 47:13Speaker 4: at the point of your passion. Where the will of
- 47:15Speaker 4: God is revealed. Then on the basis of scripture. We
- 47:19Speaker 4: can pray and make petitions with authority. Knowing that this
- 47:23Speaker 4: is the confidence we have. That when we ask anything.
- 47:28Speaker 4: When I'm praying for the sick. I don't verify whether
- 47:31Speaker 4: it's the will of God. It's been established from scripture.
- 47:35Speaker 4: By his stripes we are healed. He is called Rapha.
- 47:38Speaker 4: Are we together now? I am come that ye may
- 47:41Speaker 4: have life. And to have it more abundantly. That is
- 47:45Speaker 4: sufficient basis for my confidence. So when I minister to
- 47:48Speaker 4: the sick. I minister with confidence. Not in my own sufficiency.
- 47:53Speaker 4: But that the words of God.
- 47:55Speaker 1: His promises are yea and amen.
- 47:59Speaker 4: This is what gives us confidence to pray and to minister.
- 48:03Speaker 1: By the spirit. But then there are matters in life
- 48:06Speaker 1: and destiny. Where should I be? Where should the church
- 48:09Speaker 1: be planted? Are we together? And all those kinds of things.
- 48:13Speaker 1: It is not.
- 48:14Speaker 4: Directly written in the Bible for you. Even though when
- 48:16Speaker 4: the Holy Spirit gives you his word, you will find
- 48:19Speaker 4: a scripture that relates to it. So what you do
- 48:23Speaker 4: is to engage in the spirit. And continually engage in
- 48:27Speaker 4: the spirit. You are doing two things in one. One
- 48:30Speaker 4: is you are already communicating with God. according to the
- 48:34Speaker 4: will of god but number two because you are the
- 48:36Speaker 4: one who.
- 48:37Speaker 1: Needs to act out his.
- 48:38Speaker 4: Will the holy spirit will search the mind of the
- 48:41Speaker 4: father and transport to you the will of the father
- 48:45Speaker 4: for your destiny you don't stop praying until the knowledge
- 48:49Speaker 4: of the will arrives that was the goal of the
- 48:51Speaker 4: prayer at what point do you stop praying in the
- 48:55Speaker 4: spirit when the will of god concerning your life is
- 48:59Speaker 4: revealed You don't stop praying when you are tired. You
- 49:04Speaker 4: don't stop praying after one hour or after five hours.
- 49:07Speaker 4: What governs the prayer is not chronological time. What governs
- 49:11Speaker 4: the time is traveling until the knowledge of the will arrives.
- 49:16Speaker 4: If it takes 21 days, you keep going. If it
- 49:18Speaker 4: takes two hours, you keep going. hours, you keep going.
- 49:21Speaker 4: You see that now. Mechanically selecting time for your prayer.
- 49:25Speaker 4: It may help you in terms of giving you spiritual discipline.
- 49:29Speaker 4: But there are times for many reasons. That I may
- 49:32Speaker 4: not discuss here. You will need to travail. When a
- 49:35Speaker 4: woman goes to the hospital to give birth. She doesn't
- 49:38Speaker 4: give the doctors two hours. She goes there knowing that
- 49:41Speaker 4: her goal is until the child arrives. Sometimes she gets
- 49:45Speaker 4: there and in 30 minutes.
- 49:46Speaker 1: The child is out. But there are times she's there
- 49:49Speaker 1: one week.
- 49:50Speaker 4: She stays patiently with the confidence that my goal is
- 49:53Speaker 4: to birth this child. How about the time she's carrying twins?
- 49:57Speaker 4: How about the time she's carrying three plates? Other women
- 50:00Speaker 4: may come and go and leave her there because of
- 50:03Speaker 4: the kind of thing she's birthing. The fervent and effectual
- 50:09Speaker 4: prayer of the righteous availed much. Most believers are sincere
- 50:16Speaker 4: and passionate. But they do not respect the will of
- 50:20Speaker 4: God as a vital component in prayer. Most people will
- 50:25Speaker 4: not understand the advantage God gave us in giving us
- 50:29Speaker 4: the Holy Spirit and giving us the prayer language. It's
- 50:32Speaker 4: been an age-long argument as to whether praying in the
- 50:36Speaker 4: Spirit in tongues as we know is necessary for believers.
- 50:40Speaker 4: It is because we do not understand the way the
- 50:42Speaker 4: kingdom works that as compassionate as God is... He only
- 50:47Speaker 4: acts with respect to his will.
- 50:56Speaker 1: Are we together? So when we pray in the spirit.
- 51:01Speaker 1: It is an edge he has given us.
- 51:03Speaker 4: An apostle Paul was teaching the church in Ephesus. And
- 51:07Speaker 4: he says you are wise when you pray in the spirit.
- 51:10Speaker 4: Because in praying in the spirit you will eventually gain
- 51:14Speaker 4: the advantage of knowing the will of the Lord.
- 51:17Speaker 1: And with it you will execute with precision. And you
- 51:20Speaker 1: will save time.
- 51:21Speaker 4: Not to go around 10 years doing several things you
- 51:25Speaker 4: think are the will of God. Only to find out
- 51:28Speaker 4: at the 11th year that you were not in the
- 51:30Speaker 4: will of God. And you have to come back. You
- 51:32Speaker 4: have wasted time. He says you redeem time when you
- 51:35Speaker 4: know the will of God. Let it not be that
- 51:40Speaker 4: I'm roaming around Lagos for 15 years. Then finally when
- 51:43Speaker 4: I get serious with God, I find out that it
- 51:46Speaker 4: was designed for me to have been in the US.
- 51:50Speaker 4: And now you have to trust God. You see, this
- 51:52Speaker 4: is why God created systems of advantage like restoration and speed.
- 51:57Speaker 4: Because he knows that most men will not believe him.
- 52:01Speaker 4: Are we together now? If it is God in God's
- 52:05Speaker 4: intent for you to probably have started the work of
- 52:08Speaker 4: the ministry. And you've been arguing with the spirit for
- 52:10Speaker 4: the last 15 years. Imagine how many souls have been
- 52:14Speaker 4: tied to you. They have suffered because of your carelessness.
- 52:19Speaker 4: That is why when God reveals his will to you,
- 52:21Speaker 4: in addition to it, he.
- 52:23Speaker 1: Opens you up to.
- 52:24Speaker 4: His systems of advantage like restoration and speed. These are
- 52:29Speaker 4: his various ways of bringing you up to speed with
- 52:31Speaker 4: life and destiny. But my assignment is to charge you.
- 52:34Speaker 4: We'll use the remaining 10 minutes to pray. Now you
- 52:37Speaker 4: pray with understanding.
- 52:38Speaker 1: Hallelujah. In the name of Jesus.
- 52:42Speaker 4: You are making declarations of protection and you are saying, well,
- 52:45Speaker 4: all I know, God forbid, I know nobody will touch me.
- 52:48Speaker 1: You are joking.
- 52:48Speaker 4: No.
- 52:49Speaker 1: No.
- 52:50Speaker 4: The Lord is my light and my salvation. Of whom
- 52:54Speaker 4: shall I be afraid of? The Lord is the strength
- 52:56Speaker 4: of my life.
- 52:58Speaker 1: Are we together? That when men say.
- 53:00Speaker 4: There is a casting down for me, I decree and
- 53:02Speaker 4: declare that there is a lifting up.
- 53:04Speaker 1: I like what the Bible calls them. He calls them
- 53:07Speaker 1: exceeding great and precious promises.
- 53:10Speaker 4: He says that by them we might be the partakers
- 53:12Speaker 4: of his divine nature, inexperienced, haven't escaped the corruption that
- 53:16Speaker 4: is in the world through lust. Show me a believer
- 53:20Speaker 4: that is full of the word and knows how to
- 53:22Speaker 4: engage it with understanding. I show you a man who
- 53:25Speaker 4: has mastered the art of effectual prayer.
- 53:29Speaker 1: Prayer that produces power.
- 53:31Speaker 4: Are we together? So how do you pray over 2024?
- 53:34Speaker 4: In the name of Jesus, the Bible declares, this is
- 53:36Speaker 4: the day, that includes the year, that the Lord has made.
- 53:40Speaker 1: Who made it? It didn't say the Lord and Satan.
- 53:43Speaker 1: The Lord has made.
- 53:44Speaker 4: Satan also waits for the day to be made to
- 53:46Speaker 4: be part of it. If God makes the day, I
- 53:49Speaker 4: go to Genesis 1. What happens when God is the
- 53:52Speaker 4: one who makes? He makes all things beautiful and when
- 53:55Speaker 4: he makes, he saw that it was good. On the
- 53:58Speaker 4: basis of that, my day must be good. On the
- 54:00Speaker 4: basis of that, my year must be good. Everything that
- 54:03Speaker 4: is inconsistent with the design of God for my life
- 54:07Speaker 4: in this season. Now you can take authority over it
- 54:10Speaker 4: with confidence. Because you are praying fervent. You are praying
- 54:14Speaker 4: effectual prayer.
- 54:16Speaker 3: Hallelujah.
- 54:19Speaker 1: Your children are misbehaving.
- 54:20Speaker 4: You don't just call them and say God but I
- 54:22Speaker 4: have served you. That looks sincere but it's not a
- 54:24Speaker 4: very wise prayer. Psalm 112 said blessed is the man
- 54:27Speaker 4: that feared the Lord. Who delighted greatly in his commands.
- 54:31Speaker 4: He said his seed shall be mighty. The generation of
- 54:34Speaker 4: the upright shall be blessed. He says wealth and riches
- 54:37Speaker 4: shall be in his house. And his righteousness endures forever.
- 54:41Speaker 4: That becomes the basis of your prayer.
- 54:42Speaker 3: Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
- 54:49Speaker 4: When the centurion came to Jesus, he said, you do
- 54:51Speaker 4: not need to come to my house. Speak the word only.
- 54:54Speaker 4: He said, I am a man under authority. I know
- 54:56Speaker 4: the power of authority. There is a government, the government
- 54:59Speaker 4: of Rome. They back me. And by reason of the authority,
- 55:03Speaker 4: I say to one, go. Not because of the sound.
- 55:06Speaker 1: Of my voice. Not because of my stature.
- 55:08Speaker 4: I am under authority. I say you too, I know
- 55:12Speaker 4: you did not come on your own. You came representing
- 55:14Speaker 4: the government of heaven. Speak the word only. And Jesus said,
- 55:17Speaker 4: who taught you? I've not found this faith.
- 55:20Speaker 1: Not in Israel. Who mentored this man to have this understanding?
- 55:26Speaker 1: Is someone listening now? The name of Jesus.
- 55:32Speaker 4: You rebuke sicknesses and diseases. You don't just say sickness go.
- 55:36Speaker 1: To where? Why? Why does it go?
- 55:39Speaker 4: Is it not in your Bible that a few people said.
- 55:41Speaker 4: We adore you by Jesus whom Paul preaches.
- 55:44Speaker 1: What did the demon say? Jesus I know. Paul I know.
- 55:47Speaker 4: What is the basis of obeying you? And they beat
- 55:50Speaker 4: the children. This is not the Old Testament. Produce your
- 55:59Speaker 4: strong reason. Why should God lift you? Because I know
- 56:05Speaker 4: he loves me too much. Where did you find that?
- 56:08Speaker 1: Don't assume. Even Satan said it is written. I hope
- 56:12Speaker 1: you know what is written concerning you.
- 56:14Speaker 4: The Bible says when Jesus came to the temple in
- 56:17Speaker 4: Luke chapter 4.
- 56:18Speaker 1: He found, he opened the book of Isaiah.
- 56:21Speaker 4: And he found where it was written concerning him. Have
- 56:25Speaker 4: you found where it was written concerning your job? Have
- 56:28Speaker 4: you found where it was written concerning your children? Can
- 56:31Speaker 4: I tell you, in this kingdom, it is written is
- 56:35Speaker 4: greater than I saw. It is written is greater.
- 56:37Speaker 1: Than I heard.
- 56:38Speaker 4: You can use it is written to change what you saw.
- 56:41Speaker 4: You can use it is written to change.
- 56:43Speaker 1: What you heard.
- 56:44Speaker 4: I had a dream that you would die. I respect
- 56:47Speaker 4: your dream, but it is written. I shall not die,
- 56:50Speaker 4: but live and declare the works of the Lord. That
- 56:52Speaker 4: becomes the basis of my engaging.
- 56:56Speaker 1: Are we together?
- 56:59Speaker 4: I see that this year may not be very good
- 57:01Speaker 4: for you. Generally I say prophetic word, that is fine.
- 57:04Speaker 4: But uniquely I define my realities.
- 57:07Speaker 1: It is true.
- 57:08Speaker 4: It says true faith we understand.
- 57:12Speaker 1: Do you believe this? We're about to pray. The Bible
- 57:14Speaker 1: says the path of the just. Not in 2023. Not
- 57:17Speaker 1: in 2024.
- 57:17Speaker 4: The path of the just is as a shining light.
- 57:27Speaker 4: It shines more and more. More and more is my heritage.
- 57:31Speaker 4: I don't know about you, but it is my heritage.
- 57:34Speaker 4: This is not just blind confession. Honestly, you ignore this,
- 57:39Speaker 4: you will be surprised that you will be a victim.
- 57:45Speaker 4: I hope you know that before Jesus died, he declared
- 57:49Speaker 4: that he will come back to life. If he kept quiet,
- 57:52Speaker 4: the grave will not open. Let the redeemed of the Lord.
- 57:59Speaker 4: Not think so. Not wish so. Not assume so. If
- 58:04Speaker 4: the redeemed of the Lord say so. Then the healed
- 58:07Speaker 4: of the Lord will say so. The blessed of the
- 58:09Speaker 4: Lord will say so. The lifted of the Lord will
- 58:12Speaker 4: say so. You have been thinking so.
- 58:14Speaker 1: Wonderful. But it's time to say so. Say what? What
- 58:18Speaker 1: God has said.
- 58:19Speaker 4: It is the word confession homologu to repeat as you
- 58:22Speaker 4: have heard.
- 58:23Speaker 1: Consistent with what he has said. Hallelujah.
- 58:29Speaker 4: When men say there is a casting down, we decree
- 58:32Speaker 4: and declare that there is a lifting up.
- 58:35Speaker 1: Is that true?
- 58:36Speaker 4: Gentiles come to my light. They are kings to the
- 58:38Speaker 4: brightness of my rising. In the name of Jesus, where
- 58:42Speaker 4: I've been deserted so that no man would pass through me,
- 58:45Speaker 4: I've become an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.
- 58:49Speaker 4: The wisdom of God is at work in my spirit.
- 58:51Speaker 4: In the name of Jesus Christ, going from glory to glory.
- 58:55Speaker 4: This is not Pentecostal gibberish.
- 58:57Speaker 1: It's how we.
- 58:58Speaker 4: Create realities in the spirit.
- 59:01Speaker 1: You see, let me tell you this. Listen before we pray.
- 59:05Speaker 1: Papa Copeland is in his 80s now. He's one of
- 59:09Speaker 1: the fathers.
- 59:09Speaker 4: Today that represents the pillars of what we know to
- 59:13Speaker 4: be the word of faith. And one time I heard
- 59:16Speaker 4: him making a statement when he was younger. He believed
- 59:20Speaker 4: the word in the simplicity of faith. And he would
- 59:23Speaker 4: declare over his body and speak and do a lot
- 59:26Speaker 4: of things. And there were people who laughed at him.
- 59:28Speaker 4: Most of those people have long gone. In his 80s,
- 59:32Speaker 4: he's still standing today, moving unaided. And there were many
- 59:37Speaker 4: arrogant people who are, how did the Bible put it?
- 59:40Speaker 1: I cannot remember the scripture. He says, but I hear
- 59:43Speaker 1: Paul was speaking. He said, less as Satan beguiled Eve.
- 59:48Speaker 1: I think he was speaking to the church in Corinth also.
- 59:50Speaker 4: Through subtlety, a deception, inventing a strategy that deviates you
- 59:56Speaker 4: from the simplicity of the gospel. It takes childlike approach
- 1:00:03Speaker 4: to the things of the spirit. There are times that
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: they look deceptively childish. And yet the power of God
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: is hidden in those practices. For instance, there is heat
- 1:00:14Speaker 4: that scattereth and yet increases. It does not make economic sense.
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: Yet that is the wisdom of God that is hidden.
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: The Bible said it was ordained for our glory. I
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: told you yesterday that the end of the believer's journey
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: is that your life eventually becomes a manifestation of the
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: glory of God. And one of these platforms and these
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: weapons that I share with you, in addition to all
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: you have heard this morning, is the power of fervent
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: effectual prayer. Not just emotional prayer.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: Are we together now?
- 1:00:48Speaker 4: Not just African prayers, sincerely saying without any sense of
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: mockery and all of that. Most of us need to
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: redefine our understanding about prayer. Probably we have been mentored
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: by sincere people, but we view the prayer ministry from
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: the lens of a defeated believer. If your prayer is
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: not effectual, it cannot produce power. The amount of time
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: and energy that is invested in prayer in Africa with
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: all due respect and honor to all of.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: Us believers who pray. If there was fervency and efficiency.
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: In our prayer, we would have shifted the climate of
- 1:01:30Speaker 4: the continent by now. So in addition to our zeal,
- 1:01:36Speaker 4: one of the things that the Lord is reintroducing to
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: the prayer ministry of the believer is, Is the word compliancy.
- 1:01:43Speaker 4: Respect for the ministry of the Holy Spirit as we pray.
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: Respect for the supremacy of.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: The word as we pray.
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: That emotional prayer does not change climates. It is the
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: degree of the word compliancy. Honor to the spirit of God.
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: I sense in my heart that there are people in
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: this place. And together as the body of Christ. We
- 1:02:06Speaker 4: have come into a state of maturity by the spirit.
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: Thanks to apostolic conferences like this. Where God helps us
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: to sharpen one another by the spirit. To gain ascendance
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: and come to a point of maturity. And to be

- 1:03:49Speaker 4: That when we ask anything. According to his will. We
- 1:03:53Speaker 4: know that he heareth us.
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: Someone pray in one minute.
- 1:04:01Speaker 7: Shabrakatabalakatapandakatashopraskyah.
- 1:04:17Speaker 7: .
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: .
- 1:04:32Speaker 7: In the.

- 1:05:02Speaker 1: As revealed in scripture.
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: Respecting the supremacy.
