- 1:13SPEAKER_00: I'm excited to be here with you all and to celebrate five thousand mostly men um showing up on my channel and um I think it's been it's not been quite a year.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: I started in September last year on the 9th, I think was my first published video.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: So we've like this is this is almost almost a year now.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: Um I was planning to do a live when I got to my year, but um I was like, well, might as well just do it now.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: And it's funny because I wanted to do a live much earlier, but I my husband was like, no, you should just wait.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: So today he was like, you're doing this to yourself, like this um this stress.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: Well, I wasn't stressed.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: I was just I was just nervous.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: So um, and um who else is here?
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: Oh, Phil is here.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: Hi, Phil, all the way from the UK.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: Um, and Colin.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: Hello, lovely to see you, Colin.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: Um and yeah, so I just wanted to kind of hang out and say hello.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: Um, because I think it's like I said in my post about this, it's like I'm feeling um I totally lost my train of thought.
- 2:44unknown: Okay.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: I was just like, okay.
- 2:46SPEAKER_00: So I wanted to do a bit of QA and uh just just um see how we go.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: So I have a couple of questions from the post uh that I asked if anybody had any questions.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: And um, oh hello, Megasoid.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: So lovely to see you.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: Um and the first question I think I'll take um came from night night five five five, night with a K.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: And he says, Can you um can you tell us how you found your husband?
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: Finding fellow HSP as a partner is hard.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: So it's worth listening to how you found him or he found you.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: So um we met on a little island in on the west coast of Canada, and I was singing a lot and wanted to learn how to play guitar in order to accompany myself.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: And um so I was like, okay, well, I should probably take some lessons and like learn it right, because you know, an instrument, if you start learning it wrong, you get bad technique.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: And so anyway, I found this music teacher on the island.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: He had like a listing on on the online, and um I was like, okay, I'm gonna go.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: So I went and I think it was I think it was maybe September, October of 2014.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: And um yeah, that's kind of how that's how we met.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: I went and I knocked on his door, and he said afterwards to me that um he he opened the door and said in his mind, uh-oh, this is trouble.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: As in like he had an immediate intuitive understanding that perhaps there was gonna be something that happened between the two of us.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: So oh, hello Dave.
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: Nice to see you.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: Um so that was that was how we met, and he uh taught me music theory and some guitar, and then we started, I think, making music, music, a little bit of music together, and he taught me how to teach music theory, and then I quit my job and we started sort of teaching music together, and we weren't together yet, um, but it kind of got to that place, and uh we just we just talked a lot and we could talk for hours and hours.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: So that and then I moved I moved in in the spring of 2015, and that's that we've been living together ever since.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: And I think the thing is is that um I didn't I didn't know I was an HSP when I met him.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: I didn't know like I didn't know I was an INFP, I didn't know he was an INFJ, I didn't know he was an HSP, like none of these things um we knew of the labels and and like the knowledge behind those is has been an incredible gift in our lives in the last year.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: And so but we were just going on on NF vibes, right?
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: Feelings and intuition, and um, we were both into music.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: He was he's just he's the most incredible human I have ever met.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: Let me put it that way.
- 6:23SPEAKER_01: And I and he he loves me with um like he loves me, right?
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: And I've never met someone who has been so kind and compassionate, and like it just yeah, it's anyway, it's been a blessing and a gift.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: So that's how I met him.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: Who else is here?
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: Hello Didier, bonjour, Didier, um Gavin, hello Nick Nick, okay, yeah, so good.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: Um, so that's how I met my husband.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: And yeah, as opposed to finding HSPs, I I do think about this a lot because obviously a lot of a lot of you don't have there's like the part are looking for partners, looking for for people that are um on the same wavelength, I guess.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: And I think part of it is being in places where other HSPs are or where other INFs hang out, and a lot of them hang out in the forest, right?
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: Just kidding, but but it's true.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: I mean, you know, we talk a lot about being a hermit.
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: I think that's gonna be one of my next videos is um hermit men.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: Um and I think that it's like we love music and art.
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: So when I was living on this little island, it's all about art and music and well, it's it's a bit of a hippie, hippie culture.
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: So it's like this the snowflakes, you know, as you say, like, but just yoga.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: So it's about finding maybe even places to visit where there are people that are more like us.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: Um yeah.
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: Um Tim, hello Tim.
- 8:32SPEAKER_00: Tim is down in Australia.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: Welcome, Tim.
- 8:38SPEAKER_00: Um thank you, Colin, for your thoughts.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: Um my husband is an author.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: What genre does he specialize in?
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: Well, he is an author.
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: He wrote a music theory book.
- 8:53SPEAKER_00: And um, so that was our first.
- 8:56SPEAKER_00: He wrote it while I was well, we were first, well, we when we were first met, when we first met, and we kind of self-published that together.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: So it's on Amazon, and um and he's funny because he was like, some authors were sharing how many, how many copies of of their books they had sold or whatever.
- 9:14SPEAKER_00: And he looked at how many copies of he'd sold of his music theory book, and he was like, Whoa, I'm doing really, really, really well.
- 9:22SPEAKER_00: So that's great.
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: And um, but he he he writes on Substack and about creativity and music and um yeah, and he's got a new a new project.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna reveal that now, but he just told me last night that he's he's got his future vision, the the NI, the intuitive part of him has kind of come back online.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: So I think there's some there's some fresh new sprouts coming out of the the dark ground um for him.
- 9:56SPEAKER_00: So I I know that all of you and this channel has been such a blessing for him for many reasons.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: One because um one because he's he's he's reading, he's reading, he's he's in our in our studio listening, by the way, and is reading your comments.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: So if you you know if you want to say anything to him, you can.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: Um but he what was I saying?
- 10:30SPEAKER_01: Uh lost my thought.
- 10:35SPEAKER_00: I don't I don't know.
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: Oh, blessing.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: Yes, you are a blessing, mostly because I'm feeling good and being an empath, you know, he's being an empath.
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: So when I'm feeling good, he feels much better.
- 10:47SPEAKER_00: So you guys all make me feel really, really wonderful um and are so supportive.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: And I it's I I I couldn't I couldn't do this without you.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: So thank you for showing up every every every video and leaving me wonderful comments.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: So um, but yeah, he he does have books in him.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: He keeps saying he has books in him, but I think he's still bringing in all the information that he needs, you know, um, from different, different, he's into all sorts of things.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: So um and you need a month on this island you speak of, Marcus.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: Yes, it's true.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: It's a very wonderful thing.
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: Um he must he must be an INFJ, Gavin says.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he is very talented and he is an INFJ.
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: Um and and and gifted, and you know, all the things.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: Um, so it's uh yeah.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: You really need to see your husband's face sometime, Phil Phil says.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: It's like, well, here's the thing.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: If you want to see his face, it we, you know, we have our other um, our other channel is Hack Music Theory, and so um his face is on there.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: So it's not his most recent face because he currently has a beard, has been growing that out since moving to a colder place.
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: He's like, I think I need some padding on my face.
- 12:14SPEAKER_00: So um yeah, he's uh he hasn't been on video, but here's the thing 10k live, he said he would come.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: So that's our that's our next our next goal is um 10k subscribers, he'll show up.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: So we'll hold him to that, right?
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, um, so yeah, you can go to Hack Music Theory and see really, really, really awkward videos of me and him in the very beginning of those good times because we started that in 2017.
- 12:50SPEAKER_00: So and that's the other thing.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: Somebody somebody commented on the channel the other day saying, like, um, like I wonder what it is, like, oh, I like this woman.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: Is she I wonder if she's AI?
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: Like, you know, and I was like, thankfully, I have a whole other channel that could show you that definitely not AI.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: Um, and what else?
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: Uh Metatron, perfect timing.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: I so needed this space at the moment.
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: Oh, well, I'm I'm glad.
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: Oh, I remember, I remember that that's yeah, hi.
- 13:32SPEAKER_00: You changed your name.
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: So yeah.
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: Um INFP, INFJ party.
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: I mean, you know, there's lots of there's lots of other types, I'm sure.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: Um, here maybe if you're not an INFJ or you're not an INP, you could put your type in the in the chat.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: Um, or yeah, if you want to, everybody wants to share their their type.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: You might not know your type, and that's totally that's totally okay.
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: Um, it's a journey and it's a wonderful journey of I love type because it's it's a way of self-reflecting.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: It's a way of finding out more about who we are, and it's not a way of boxing us in.
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: And it's like, no, it's just like, am I do I do this?
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: Am I like this?
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: Do I like that or like this?
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: So it's um yeah, it's it's I love that's why I love type.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: Um and we'll get you to 10k, Dave says, Thank you, thank you for all your congratulations.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: That's really kind.
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: AI Kate, yeah.
- 14:38SPEAKER_00: Well, you know, it's happening, isn't it?
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: Oh, Orion Noir, thank you for coming all the way from Virginia.
- 14:45SPEAKER_00: I'm so glad you're here.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: Uh Phil says he's all the alphabet, all the letters.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: Okay, well, it's a bit of a jumble, and that's fine.
- 14:59SPEAKER_00: Uh Colin is in South Africa.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's so cool.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: Whereabouts in South Africa?
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: My husband grew up in Cape Town, so he he was um 20 years in in Cape Town and then um then left.
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: So he's he's like a two-time immigrant, my husband, which adds to the chaos of his life.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: And um, so yeah.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: And Lee, hello Lee, and ENFJ.
- 15:28SPEAKER_00: Happy ENFJ.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: We we I don't know that I've ever well, here's the thing.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: This was before type, but I'm not sure if I've ever come across an ENFJ in real life.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: I'd have to think about that.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: So nice that you're here.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: And thank you.
- 15:45SPEAKER_00: I'm glad that I'm glad that that's then that this has been a space that has been helpful to you, Lee.
- 15:54SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Cape Town.
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: From Hermanus.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think Ray has mentioned Hermanus.
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: I'd have I'll have to ask him what stories he has from that.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: Uh oh, and there's John.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: Hello, John.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: Nice to see you.
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: Okay, so the next question: have I taken the Enneagram type test?
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: Yes, I'm it's a newer thing that I've I'm looking into.
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: I'm not entirely certain about which one I am, but I'm like probably a four, but sometimes I feel like a nine.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: So, but I think I felt more like a nine when I was really in the depths of despair and um just wanted everything to be calm, everyone to be calm, you know, like, but I think I think I'm really a four.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: So um a five, yes.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: And hello now, Belt Alberto, maybe it's Alberto.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna go with Alberto.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: Hello, I'm hello, one one one two.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: I recognize you.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: Welcome.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: Five.
- 17:11SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah.
- 17:13SPEAKER_00: And my husband, I think, is a a six.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: We're still working on that, so dunno, dunno.
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, so Kevin posted some questions on my last uh on the on the post asking for questions, or if you had any questions.
- 17:31SPEAKER_00: Um he said he's not going to be here because he has a birthday.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: So that's happy birthday to you, Kevin, because I know he'll be watching afterwards.
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: He has watched every single one of my videos.
- 17:43SPEAKER_00: And um, so he's he's he's he lives in Quebec City and he's a my fellow INFP.
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: So good I'm blown away that he has watched all of my videos, but um he says that my last video.
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: Um sorry about the noise if you can hear that upstairs.
- 18:01SPEAKER_00: There's a dog running around, but I I will try and stay focused.
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: Um what did I say?
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: He's watched all my videos.
- 18:09SPEAKER_00: He said the last one that he really, really liked that one the best.
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: So anyway, hi Kevin.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: Um, he says, after four months in my new home, do we think we'll have to move again next year?
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: And do we still wish to go back to the coast in the future?
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: And um yes, yes, we'll probably move again.
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: Um just noise and also as we were talking about that in this in the men's group this last week about location and and how it has such a massive impact on us as highly sensitive people, you know, it's from for all sorts of reasons, right?
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: For noise reasons, for um energetic reasons.
- 19:01SPEAKER_00: I find a lot of the time like this this town that we're living in, it just has bad vibes.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: Because when we leave it, we we feel really great.
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: And when we come back, we're like, oh, I'm doing like something here.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: So um, you know, I think I think that's that's fine.
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: Um but yeah, I think we'll probably move just because it's you know it's really not loud upstairs.
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: They're a bunch of extroverts, and which is totally fine, totally fine.
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: Um, just really they're really loud people.
- 19:33SPEAKER_00: Um, so the sleep is not really great.
- 19:37SPEAKER_00: So anyway, and the West Coast, it's so complicated, it's it's a big move.
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: Um and there's lots of different things.
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: I mean, Canada is in a bit of a bit of a state, so we're just we're just Ray with his his intuitive and you know, INFJ trying to trying to trying to you know nail down the future.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: What is the future going to be?
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: I don't know if you you you do that, but um things are moving so fast and everything's changing so quick that it's like we can't can't we can't we can't tell the future anymore.
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: I'm just kidding, but you know, um we never really could, but it just there's just so much going on.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: So um I'm just just checking in a bunch of everybody's sharing their their Enneagram.
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: That's great.
- 20:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I know noise.
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: Uh Lucery Bucket, hello.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: He says, hi, INFP here.
- 20:42SPEAKER_00: I feel like your husband must be very relatable because your videos really resonate and it's clear you really understand in a gentle way.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: Thanks for these.
- 20:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 20:53SPEAKER_00: We uh I mean we we spend every day, like we work together and we spend every day together for, you know, like 11 years, 11 years.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: So um, you know, it's we've learned a lot about each other and ourselves through, you know, we I talk about that mirroring that having an uh I always do this, another, another in our lives, it really allows that that growth to happen.
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: And so we've definitely kind of grown together, but also recently learning about our personality types in the last year, we've we've found more separation between us.
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: It's like, oh, I do things this way and you do things that way, and it's really given us more, much more freedom to to be fully ourselves, if that makes sense.
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: Um makes me happy to know people like us find love because sometimes it can be rare, Kevin.
- 21:55SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 21:57SPEAKER_00: So true.
- 21:58SPEAKER_00: And because of this challenge.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Because of like listening to your stories and what you've shared and how how how many like heartbreaks and sorrow and grief.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: It just makes me and my husband so grateful every day to have one another.
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: And um, we're very, very we feel very, very blessed and lucky.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: So um, and Colin, your articulate and warm presentation style have endeared many of us.
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: Keep up the great work.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: Thank you for the inspiration.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Colin.
- 22:34SPEAKER_00: That's very kind.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: You're all gonna make me blush, but that thank you.
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: I I do my best.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: I feel like I've gotten better over the last year, let's say, of being a better speaker.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: Uh I still I still have lots of lots of work to do, but you know, I think I use it as a practice of intuition.
- 23:00SPEAKER_00: And sometimes sometimes my everything's working better than other times and things are happening in a in a much better way.
- 23:09SPEAKER_00: But um yeah.
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: Dave's still trying to nail down the future.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I know Dave.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: It's it's difficult.
- 23:21SPEAKER_00: Um, how do you do the Enneagram test?
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: Um, well, there's lots online.
- 23:27SPEAKER_00: Um my favorite, my favorite lady is Susan Storm over at Psychology Junkie.
- 23:31SPEAKER_00: She does both Enneagram and MBTI personality type.
- 23:36SPEAKER_00: So um she's she's an INTJ and she has five kids.
- 23:42SPEAKER_00: She is super woman, and I just love her so much.
- 23:46SPEAKER_00: So um, yeah, if you haven't been to Psychology Junkie, she's got a YouTube channel and um a blog.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: She's been will blog she writes articles.
- 23:56SPEAKER_00: She's a writer, so she's been writing for on type for 14 years.
- 24:00SPEAKER_00: So um yeah.
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: Whenever Ray finds the answer to nailing down the future, be sure to make a video about it.
- 24:08SPEAKER_00: Thanks, Mark.
- 24:09SPEAKER_00: I will let him know.
- 24:10SPEAKER_00: I will let him know.
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: He's working on that every day.
- 24:15SPEAKER_00: Um, maybe you should be my upstairs neighbor.
- 24:18SPEAKER_00: That's great.
- 24:19SPEAKER_00: Guaranteed you won't even know I exist.
- 24:21SPEAKER_00: Been always hoping for neighbors who are quiet but never found one.
- 24:25SPEAKER_00: I know we just keep keep moving, keep trying to find the times where we have found, like we made it a priority at some point.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: I think we were living in Vancouver and we're like, okay, we need a laneway.
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: Then there's nobody above us.
- 24:42SPEAKER_00: Like, there's it's a separate, its own separate dwelling.
- 24:45SPEAKER_00: So we lived in a couple of laneways, and then we lived in an above garage suite, and that was really, really good.
- 24:53SPEAKER_00: And it was in a quiet, really quiet neighborhood.
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: And that we thought that was going to be our forever place, but it just ended up not working out.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: But um yeah, it's been a bit bumpy since there.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: And and then we lived in a in a cabin in the woods for a while until I felt like I was freaking out and dying inside.
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: And that's why we moved, and we moved to to Alberta to be close to my my little nephew.
- 25:18SPEAKER_00: So that was um that was how we got here.
- 25:23SPEAKER_00: Um, but yeah, and then now it's kind of been again trying to find quiet places or trying to get up the courage and the stamina to move back to the coast because it's just like it takes so much energy to move, let alone like to get back to the coast, it just is more complicated than moving, you know, down the road somewhere.
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: Um did my best.
- 25:52SPEAKER_00: Uh here you I'm just reading the comments.
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: Uh John, what does John say?
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: John says, you have to do some reading on the Enneagram types, yeah, and to rule it out, see what applies most accurately.
- 26:06SPEAKER_00: There are so great channels to break it down as well.
- 26:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I haven't spent a lot of time, a lot of time with the Enneagram.
- 26:13SPEAKER_00: So it's something I'm still working on.
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: Um thank you, Gavin, for your kind, kind, kind words about my communication.
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: Oh, I'm way behind on the comments.
- 26:25SPEAKER_00: There we go.
- 26:26SPEAKER_00: Okay, sorry.
- 26:29SPEAKER_00: I think our types often have a lot to say and can be great presenters, but struggle excessively with confidence.
- 26:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, confidence is a it's a thing.
- 26:40SPEAKER_00: It takes it takes time and effort to kind of build our confidence up.
- 26:45SPEAKER_00: And that's what I've noticed over the time of this channel is, you know, when I started, I was I was feeling quite quite low and quite down.
- 26:53SPEAKER_00: And it's it's incredible when we put when we do something over and over again, that's how we build the confidence.
- 27:01SPEAKER_00: And that's how we, you know, hopefully, sometimes you could do something over and over again and never get anywhere, and then it's kind of like a it's like lowers the confidence, but you know.
- 27:15SPEAKER_00: Um mega soid says, once you nail down the present, the future will take care of itself.
- 27:24SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 27:25SPEAKER_00: That's that's a good, that's really helpful.
- 27:30SPEAKER_00: I love that reminds me of in the in the men's sanctuary.
- 27:34SPEAKER_00: Um, we've been talking about the Maslow's pyramid.
- 27:41SPEAKER_00: And we it it happened intuitively.
- 27:44SPEAKER_00: It's been wonderful, it's been a such a great journey.
- 27:47SPEAKER_00: Um, and we talked about sort of the the the bottom layer, right?
- 27:52SPEAKER_00: Of of our of like having our food and water and shelter and clothing and um kind of the basics of life.
- 28:01SPEAKER_00: And that's always that's always kind of hard for us.
- 28:03SPEAKER_00: And then we talked about belonging, and then last week was our third week, and we talked about um, I guess self-s not self-esteem, but um what we want to be respected for.
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: And um, that's kind of why I made that video last week about that.
- 28:21SPEAKER_00: And so it's it's like we realized most of us are NFs in the group.
- 28:28SPEAKER_00: There's an ENFP, um, a couple of INFPs.
- 28:31SPEAKER_00: Some people are not sure on their type, but it's we're all feeling like the pyramid is upside down.
- 28:37SPEAKER_00: I don't know if you feel that way, but as uh it's like we're kind of more focused on the, you know, what does the what is the meaning of where we're living and what's going on, you know, as opposed to, you know, oh yeah, I should think about, you know, making sure my clothes are clean and you know, um anyway, we we had good laughs about that, but um um what else?
- 29:03SPEAKER_00: Ian says, um, oh, Illusory Bucket says Vancouver's so chaotic, at least when I was there.
- 29:10SPEAKER_00: Yes, yeah, I mean there are there are different places where you can get there's lots of lots of forests, lots of trees.
- 29:17SPEAKER_00: But Vancouver, um yeah, it's just it's just with the ocean and the mountains and the trees.
- 29:24SPEAKER_00: It's there's there's a beauty there, but you can get the other places that are not Vancouver, but um would you want a forever place?
- 29:32SPEAKER_00: What do you imagine it looking like, Ian says?
- 29:36SPEAKER_00: My husband would say a cabin in the woods uh near the ocean.
- 29:41SPEAKER_00: He's got his his place in mind now, and it's um this place we used to walk on that little island we met.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: It's along the ocean.
- 29:49SPEAKER_00: So he's got his his little place on the ocean with the ocean view and doing his writing there.
- 29:55SPEAKER_00: So I I don't mind.
- 30:00SPEAKER_00: I I I will follow him anywhere.
- 30:02SPEAKER_00: I will follow him wherever he wants to live that is good for him.
- 30:06SPEAKER_00: I'm happy to live there.
- 30:08SPEAKER_00: Like just I that's what I really want is you know for him to just be happy.
- 30:14SPEAKER_00: Um, Didier from Belgium, yes.
- 30:18SPEAKER_00: With a good heart, but with bad humor.
- 30:22SPEAKER_00: I do enjoy your the your humor, Didier.
- 30:25SPEAKER_00: Merci beaucoup.
- 30:27SPEAKER_00: Uh I agree with Colin two months.
- 30:30SPEAKER_00: Two months ago, Phil says that two months ago I found your channel when I was in a really bad place, and the video I saw at the time really helped.
- 30:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Phil.
- 30:40SPEAKER_00: I'm so glad that you're here.
- 30:42SPEAKER_00: And I know that like I I you know, you very got a lot in common with my husband.
- 30:49SPEAKER_00: So, you know, we were talking about this last night.
- 30:53SPEAKER_00: About there's a book called Um Reasons, Reasons to Stay Alive that my husband just read, just finished the other day.
- 31:04SPEAKER_00: Um did I write it down on uh here?
- 31:10SPEAKER_00: Um I don't know, maybe uh Reasons to Stay Alive.
- 31:16SPEAKER_00: Midli he also wrote the Midnight Library.
- 31:19SPEAKER_00: Has anybody read that?
- 31:20SPEAKER_00: That was a really good book if you're if you're struggling with depression.
- 31:25SPEAKER_00: I I read it years ago and it was so helpful.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: It was just, and I think stories are so important.
- 31:33SPEAKER_00: I think we underestimate the power of of stories and novels in this world to just shift our energy to take us somewhere else, not as a not as necessarily a way of like um getting out of the world, but as a way of shifting our perspective, shifting our like even helping us to be more confident.
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: It's amazing what what books can do.
- 32:02SPEAKER_00: And I don't know about you, but I I grew up reading so many books.
- 32:07SPEAKER_00: And um yeah.
- 32:09SPEAKER_00: So anyway, this one, the Reasons to Stay Alive book was he wrote it about his depression and kind of what helped him get out of depression.
- 32:19SPEAKER_00: And um, Ray said it was really, really good.
- 32:21SPEAKER_00: And and that if it was just if it had, you know, if that book had just helped one person.
- 32:28SPEAKER_00: So my husband is trying to now focus on, you know, just like tuning out the the trolls, tuning out the you know, the people that that are naysayers to what he writes or whatever, and just if what if what we can do can help one person, then it's like that really touches something in us that because sometimes for us when we're in those dark places, like Phil just said, it's like it just takes one person to to shift something, and you know it's really important.
- 33:00SPEAKER_00: So thank you, Phil.
- 33:02SPEAKER_00: Tim, the closest neighbor you have is one kilometer away, and that's just right.
- 33:07SPEAKER_00: Yep, that sounds about just right.
- 33:11SPEAKER_00: Uh you were an INFJ and then INFP, yeah.
- 33:17SPEAKER_00: And and the thing is, is the tests like I don't do like the tests, I got ISFP, I think, at first, and it took me uh many, many, many months to learn about to come to being an INFP.
- 33:32SPEAKER_00: And then I got two consultations because I was just like, I really need to kind of figure this out because I had done so much work on my own.
- 33:40SPEAKER_00: But you know, it's it's a fun, it can be fun.
- 33:43SPEAKER_00: It can be fun to learn about ourselves in that way.
- 33:47SPEAKER_00: Um, may we all aligned with quiet quiet neighbors and neighborhoods, and loud neighbors align with loud neighbors and neighborhoods.
- 33:56SPEAKER_00: Yes, this is exactly what I was saying.
- 33:59SPEAKER_00: We were we went to the grocery store uh this week and we were driving on on the road, and there's like houses that back onto the road with like their patios, and there were people sitting on the patio just like hanging out, sitting there.
- 34:18SPEAKER_00: I was like, see, there are people like that have no problem with road noise and sitting there, and and they like the energy and watching things go by.
- 34:28SPEAKER_00: And it's like yeah, if if the you know, if the people that like like noise could live on like on the noisier parts, and then the quiet people could live in the quiet parts, that'd be really great.
- 34:43SPEAKER_00: Um O T Y T O has says he's been using earplugs, yeah, and ear pods, brown noise.
- 34:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I've heard a lot of good things about brown noise.
- 34:56SPEAKER_00: I liked using the the wave sounds.
- 35:01SPEAKER_00: And Mark says, as a writer and creative, I wonder that while observing Ray as a creative INFJ, what do you think is his hidden superpower that only someone who is really paying attention can see?
- 35:19SPEAKER_01: His hidden superpower.
- 35:28SPEAKER_01: I think that that is probably um an INFJ superpower thing.
- 35:33SPEAKER_00: I think that he is taking in so much information and observations about somebody that you know we meet somewhere or you know, anyone we meet or family members or whatever, that he's like he knows what's going on even more than they do in some cases, because if if people aren't sort of psychologically aware of themselves and their actions and their words, you know, words are so powerful, words can tell us so much about a person and their state of being.
- 36:18SPEAKER_00: And words, you know, I think they they let the cat out of the bag a lot of the time with people where people are at, even if they're not really necessarily wanting to reveal things.
- 36:34SPEAKER_00: And so I think his one of his superpowers is kind of being able to see people clearly in in some way.
- 36:42SPEAKER_00: But um yeah, maybe that's I'd have to think about that.
- 36:46SPEAKER_00: Thanks for the question, Mark.
- 36:50SPEAKER_00: Uh oh.
- 36:53SPEAKER_00: Uh what else?
- 36:54SPEAKER_00: Oh, leaving leaving guys alone.
- 36:57SPEAKER_00: Hi there, so nice to see you.
- 36:59SPEAKER_00: But the cabin in the woods does not work for you.
- 37:02SPEAKER_00: Oh, I love Cabin in the woods, and especially now that I have Light Bearer's library and have a way of extroversion, when I was living in the Cabin in the Woods, I just felt so isolated.
- 37:14SPEAKER_00: And and you must remember that by then we'd, I mean, we work for we worked for ourselves.
- 37:20SPEAKER_00: We we um so it's been the two of us kind of in a bubble.
- 37:26SPEAKER_00: But when we were at least living around around more people, there was kind of a sense of not being so alone.
- 37:33SPEAKER_00: So when I was on the cabin in the woods, it was just yeah, I think I just felt a bit too too isolated from people.
- 37:43SPEAKER_00: So, you know, being being doing Liber's Library has really helped me.
- 37:48SPEAKER_00: And especially the men's groups.
- 37:50SPEAKER_00: As I've said, um the men's groups have really been such, oh, they've just been such a wonderful human, human interaction and listening to stories and listening to other other, like the the kinds of conversations that I would love to have that, you know, even if you live around people, you're not necessarily having those kinds of conversations that are sort of below the surface and more of what's happening in the heart and soul.
- 38:23SPEAKER_00: And um, so I've I've almost created what I what I need to go anywhere now, and that feels that feels really cool.
- 38:32SPEAKER_00: Um Didier, the new place is more relaxed for you and your husband.
- 38:37SPEAKER_00: True lovers.
- 38:41SPEAKER_00: A cabin in the hills around Byron Bay.
- 38:45SPEAKER_00: We have a lot of creative people here, so beautiful.
- 38:50SPEAKER_00: David, that's so cool.
- 38:52SPEAKER_00: I've heard a lot of good things about Byron Bay.
- 38:54SPEAKER_00: I would love to visit, but that's that is a very long trip from here.
- 38:58SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's a plane ride, but we don't we don't really take planes because it's uh you know just yeah, race not a race not necessarily a plane guy.
- 39:08SPEAKER_00: There's there's um, I mean, that kind of maybe would go with being a six and anyogram six.
- 39:14SPEAKER_00: That's not not a thing.
- 39:15SPEAKER_00: So um uh I laugh at the idea of some of the personalities not being honest on the tests, ironically, because of their personality.
- 39:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and that's the other thing about tests.
- 39:30SPEAKER_00: If we're not really self-aware and we're not we don't know ourselves, I wrong it is kind of ironic in a maybe a slightly different way that too that ironically, if we take the test not really knowing who we are, we can get a wrong outcome.
- 39:52SPEAKER_00: The tests are finicky anyway, but but we want to take a test to try and get to know ourselves better, like through the personality type.
- 40:00SPEAKER_00: But I think that's why the tests, it's like need to like do the work of learning or learning who we are and and learning what we've left behind.
- 40:11SPEAKER_00: I think a lot of the pieces we leave behind in childhood, and it's kind of like reclaiming them from all of the crap that we've been through, right?
- 40:21SPEAKER_00: With with parents or siblings or teachers or bullies, or as we've talked about a lot on the channel, and kind of, you know, um, somebody, somebody, I don't know, I haven't seen him here, but you know, he talks about unburying himself and that there's parts of ourselves that we've yet to re-explore, rediscover.
- 40:42SPEAKER_00: And so I think I think almost like we need to do that work first before we can maybe accurately test type ourselves.
- 40:51SPEAKER_00: So yeah.
- 40:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 40:54SPEAKER_00: Um I already know I'm an HSP man and very introspective.
- 40:58SPEAKER_00: Is it still worth doing the personality test?
- 41:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, I'll I'll put a I'll put a link, I'll put a link in the description of the video um, because I'd have to look it up right now.
- 41:11SPEAKER_00: But there's a test by Dr.
- 41:12SPEAKER_00: Dario Nardi.
- 41:14SPEAKER_00: I think it's called keys tocognition.com.
- 41:18SPEAKER_00: And it's more of a cognitive function.
- 41:20SPEAKER_00: He's a he's a neuroscientist and MBTI um guy.
- 41:26SPEAKER_00: And um so it's more on the cognitive functions, and it kind of gives you three types that you might be more like.
- 41:34SPEAKER_00: So that's I always find that a really good starting place as opposed to doing a test and then it gives you one one.
- 41:40SPEAKER_00: It's like you're this.
- 41:40SPEAKER_00: It's like, no, like what cognitive functions are you actually do you think you're using?
- 41:47SPEAKER_00: I mean, like you said, like if we don't know ourselves and we're using these questions and you're like, yeah, I'm like that, when maybe you're you know, maybe we're not.
- 41:55SPEAKER_00: So um I took a big step to travel 40 hours and to meet someone I love for 11 years, but then it didn't go very good, and now no contact since March.
- 42:08SPEAKER_00: I want to come out of this.
- 42:10SPEAKER_00: Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that.
- 42:12SPEAKER_00: That's 11 years, and yeah.
- 42:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm sorry.
- 42:19SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry that you're going through that.
- 42:21SPEAKER_00: That's that's a lot, and there's a lot of grieving that happens when we let go of relationships.
- 42:27SPEAKER_00: So just be really, really gentle with yourself.
- 42:32SPEAKER_00: Gavin, you are doing you're doing great.
- 42:34SPEAKER_00: I wish you and your partner all the success in the world.
- 42:36SPEAKER_00: Bye for now.
- 42:37SPEAKER_00: Oh, sorry, I missed you.
- 42:38SPEAKER_00: Bye, Gavin.
- 42:39SPEAKER_00: Um Megasoid says, I haven't taken any of these tests, but I assume I'm somewhere on the IN alphabet spectrum.
- 42:46SPEAKER_00: Nice.
- 42:47SPEAKER_00: Well, there you go.
- 42:48SPEAKER_00: I like it.
- 42:49SPEAKER_00: That's that's that's that's a good place to be.
- 42:52SPEAKER_00: I like that.
- 42:54SPEAKER_00: You promised us you were nervous, but you don't seem nervous at all.
- 42:58SPEAKER_00: You seem quite natural at this.
- 43:00SPEAKER_00: I feel deceived, Ian.
- 43:03SPEAKER_00: Well, I was really nervous.
- 43:06SPEAKER_00: Um, but I I did know that I I like I knew that I would like the live just because I I do enjoy small group interaction.
- 43:19SPEAKER_00: I can't remember who it was.
- 43:21SPEAKER_00: I think it was in the last men's group, or could have been the it was this week in one of the men's groups, but um we're talking about like that we're really good at like per like one to one-on-one and small group and then maybe bigger group.
- 43:39SPEAKER_00: And I feel like um, I love the small group setting and always have.
- 43:45SPEAKER_00: I've I've enjoyed, you know, teaching and little groups.
- 43:50SPEAKER_00: I just I like the dynamics and the energy, and that's why I think it would be really cool someday to do like a a light bears library retreat, you know, where we we we have like a a meeting of of people in in person and I think that would be so wonderful.
- 44:07SPEAKER_00: We could do it like twice a year.
- 44:09SPEAKER_00: I have a vision, you know.
- 44:11SPEAKER_00: Um but thank you.
- 44:12SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 44:14SPEAKER_00: And like and seeing all your names that you know I see in the comments, it's like, oh, oh, I don't need to be nervous.
- 44:20SPEAKER_00: I know I like, you know, not I don't know you, but a lot of and a lot of you have been to the men's group.
- 44:26SPEAKER_00: So I've you know it's like it feels it feels like okay comfortable.
- 44:30SPEAKER_00: That's fine.
- 44:31SPEAKER_00: Like because I was like maybe no one will turn up and then I'll just be sitting there all by myself.
- 44:37SPEAKER_00: So thank you for coming and being here.
- 44:39SPEAKER_00: Like I I just this is making my day and my week and I know it's making my husband's week because he's like you're gonna feel so good and then I'm gonna feel so good.
- 44:51unknown: Okay.
- 44:55SPEAKER_00: David says singing bowls are my thing.
- 44:57SPEAKER_00: I love the frequency.
- 44:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah finding finding ways of of being of calming ourselves and it's such a meditative thing to do is with sound and being present with like I mean if you've got singing bowls to to use yourself otherwise like you know you can be listening to singing bowls but that's lovely yeah um Clive hello Clive nice to see you saying hi and congratulations on 5K that's so lovely.
- 45:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah I I'm still mind blown at at being here at 5k like here we are here we are and it's it's wonderful it's wonderful uh I see I see Kate's nervousness no but she ish I mean thank you thank you yes well you know it's it's something new and and that's the thing I I don't I miss doing pushing myself to do new things and I find that doing new things helps us grow right but uh I that's like um so I love learning new things um but that's that's that's quite easy you know I I love learning and um but doing things like this is like ooh how's it gonna go?
- 46:21SPEAKER_00: I don't know but we're gonna try it right um this is this is kind of like um this is kind of like uh our our way of of doing something really exciting like how how like um a sensor like an extroverted sensor like my dad's an ESF so and my brother's an ISTP so they they're you know they might go like they like to go and do adventurous things in the world right like canoeing or whatever whatever it might be but this is this is my my form of adventure um the men's groups have been a boon on many levels for sure yes thank you megasoid it's been lovely to have you there um who's uh our our group elder um one of them there's what I love about the men's groups is just what I mean part of it is the adventure who's gonna show up I don't know and um and then seeing the young younger men show up and older men show up and just being able to share experiences and just be heard again it's that it's that witnessing of one another and just having a place to to practice oh I really loved in our last man's group we were talking about I think this is really really beautiful that that um I think yeah I don't want to use any names so but it's the the idea that the armor that we build to to protect ourselves whatever that might look like right we talk about shields up or armor or cocoon or cloak or I love it.
- 48:12SPEAKER_00: I love all the I love reading your comments and being like oh that's a that's an interesting one but I love we create that armor in the presence of other people right whether it's our parents our siblings and then you know the rest of the world but the practice of of being able to reveal ourselves a little bit in in safer places.
- 48:37SPEAKER_00: Obviously we need to find safe safe spaces to practice that but practicing you know putting the shields down putt taking off or loosening the armor also happens in the presence of other people so um the men's groups have been a place for people to experiment and practice just loosening the armor a little bit and it it can be it can be nerve wracking and um and sometimes it can feel a bit bumpy maybe on the inside it's like you know because sometimes like I I get off the calls and I'm like oh like did I say did I say too much did I not say enough and it's like those are the things that we do in our heads right we're just like ah did I share too much did I not share enough did I did I mess up and it's like you know we all have to just we're all human and we're all doing our best and we don't have some of some of us I mean myself included don't have a lot of practice necessarily um interacting with a lot of people and so you know it it it we're just we're just doing our best and I love that so um I bought a new bowl you bought a you bought a singing bowl oh that's wonderful megasoid um oh I'm having trouble with almost 2 a.m here so I'll have to oh yeah thank you for being here have a wonderful Sunday I'm so far behind on the on the comments okay I'm gonna I'm gonna try it's just all these thoughts and then it's like okay what about this that's fun I love this because it is like this is feeding my INF my INFP spirit to be like okay what what's this about so um very much resonates Didier um you're doing great Tim got your Starlink last week so you're gonna come the men's groups as an option now that's so awesome I'm really happy about that Dave says he's not a plane guy either yep so you know we stick we stick we stick to the roads right INFG yeah not a plane guy there either Fred yeah planes are really full on especially the long flights yeah I've always I'm always like okay so if we were gonna go back to to England where raised a citizen um I was like well we could drive across the country Canada we could drive to the east coast and then we could get on a ship I mean that's what my and that's how my ancestors got here was on the ship so that's how we could get there right no big deal look that'd be fun that'd be that'd be actually a better adventure um oh bluegrass bluegrass is here so great I was talking that's I'm burying that's why you that's thank you for that bluegrass um Kate is a natural at this displaying excellent hosting presence well thank you that's very kind you're gonna make me blush uh the tests are not so much about discovering who we are they give us the language to describe the person we've already discovered they affirm us yeah that's exactly it mark what's something about you that Ray understood better after you both figured out your personality types what's something about me that Ray understood better that's a very good question I have not um pinned that down I think that he understands how I process my feelings more I think being like the introverted feeling part of me because we both have you know INFJ and INFPs share none of the same top cognitive functions so he's using four different ones and I'm using four different ones so it's like he's understood how it is that I work on the inside and um I think INFPs can have this whether it's an INFP thing or it's a you know more me thing or um how we are how we grow up but bit of eggshells sometimes where I have a strong feeling about something inside and he'll be talking and and about my family maybe more so like things I'm protective of inside and um and then it'll just I'll try and keep myself calm and in there and sometimes it'll just it it it'll be like I don't like this.
- 53:46SPEAKER_00: You know I don't want to talk about this.
- 53:48SPEAKER_00: And so we've we've understood how we work more and I think that's a really it's it's like I like to think about it as FI like introverted feeling for the INFPs is like more like kitty energy like can have like can have a little bit of and this this could be totally me as a woman um so I don't know if that's if that's the thing but um versus extroverted feeling that the INFJs have is more of a dog energy.
- 54:20SPEAKER_00: And um I know that many of you have dogs as INFJs and um I love that and I think that's so now we've really understood that about one another and that's been really lovely.
- 54:32SPEAKER_00: So um great vision about the retreats we've got you back cool I'm catching you live cool nice that you're here Ronnie that's great or Ron Ron Ron nice and you were jet engine mechanic wow megasoid that's so cool I had no idea about that that's really awesome um there's another guy in in our in our groups that he's a he's an airplane mechanic too so there you go I have jokingly said that if anyone ever had an INFJ convention all of them would say it's a good idea but none would actually show up John yeah I mean that's exactly it that's like my husband trying to like yeah I mean there are INFJs that come to the groups and um I I love that but it's like yeah it's a good idea but I won't be there.
- 55:34SPEAKER_00: What so I'm constantly I'm constantly trying to come up with ideas that would hook my husband into coming I'm like if I can figure out how to hook him into coming then I could hook other INFJs into coming but um I we have joked in the comments about um about like having a theory of everything men's group um or something like that I guess that that you could come and explore your theories of everything and that it's not about the the feeling like it's not about maybe anything really personal it's more about sharing sharing what you're thinking about and what yeah what you're exploring so thanks if anyone has any ideas as an INFJ like that uh would would check you know want to check in on one another that's great uh David says oh I it keeps flipping back on on me um David hang on sorry it I would love to make the next men's group plans didn't work out last time oh well we'd love to have you David very pee behavior have some fun and adventure too bad the time difference makes it hard to join you I know I know I'm trying to find the right times and I've kind of put one on this Friday night I know we're in summertime so I know that is maybe it's like you know we want to get the last days of summer in I don't know um but I thought maybe Friday nights people in the UK I know that's Germany is even later so um I have had some some on on earlier times so um yeah we're just we're working it out John's on the elder side well that's good we need lots of elders don't we all that experience just to know you're not alone with a men's group removes the large weight we carry yeah and that's what I I heard this week from the men's group who's just like one of the one one of the men said you know just just a part of the aloneness went out the window like just that there was just a momentary feeling of of relief of okay you know there are others out there like me and I know a lot of you have said you know about the comments being a space of of being able to see other people's internal workings and go okay like I can resonate with that I can and little pieces of that and I love when you know when you're interacting with one another just to say you're not alone or like I I I feel you and I think that's that's a real part of what we're building here is that that connection with one another.
- 58:45SPEAKER_00: So I'm really really it really makes me happy um and who is old I don't know I've always thought here's my thing I've always as a even as a like a a young girl I was always looking forward to getting older I I I love it because it's it it like we've so much more experience to draw from and so much yeah I mean I've always had this vision I'm just gonna be this wise woman this wise old woman and and so that is my aim to to to deepen my understanding of human nature of my own nature first and foremost and through that help others um but always just helping helping myself first I think I think that's where a lot of us go wrong is sometimes we just want to help other people like yeah and have we helped ourselves to understand ourselves and deal with our own stuff before we go and try and help others with their stuff you know I'm like okay yeah I'm so old I remember getting our first TV and first telephone wow that's so cool you guys are so funny I love I love that you're connecting um I'm older than you no I'm older than you um 50 watching I know I'm just it's so wonderful that you're all here I can't even believe it um I really yeah the armor Jason yeah okay feel free to yeah Jason nice I'm happy to be here in the live video diddy says dog energy yeah I know INFJ cat person okay well there you go kitty energy love it eggshell and sensitivity to topic I see what you mean yeah yeah that can be a thing dog life yes Dave yes we we I love I love talking about Harvey and Mabel I hope they had a good day I hope you uh had some I loved that you shared about mud puddle and uh the dogs wanting to to get you all muddy they they probably think it's funny right they're uh they just like come be alive get muddy with us the cat thing no I shot I'll I'll be too I'll be I'm I'm gonna blush if you make me do the cat thing I'm a corporate pilot aviation theme wow we've got lots of lots of airplanes going on here I keep getting recommended your videos but never noticed you live haya haya ollie well this welcome to my first live this is the first one and my husband's like you're really gonna love it I'm like I know I'm gonna love it and I was like well maybe I should do it more often maybe we should do this more often just hang out I don't know are you guys enjoying this like is this something should we hang out like more regularly I think this is fun I don't know but I'm just sitting here in my living room like we're all we're all just sitting here in our living room but sometimes it's nice um uh what I fix is not as safe motorbikes I wondered why I get on so well with dogs yeah well I think dogs I've noticed that in the comments like Megasoid you're very kind thank you thank you megasoid i i mean Phil the dogs yeah I mean I've noticed so many people with dogs and I think that that is we'd like to get a dog obviously um but we'd like to be able to feed ourselves first before we bring in a dog you know no I'm you know but it's it's like dogs are just happy to see you no matter what you look like right so stupid so stupid it's like we're all just souls we're all these beautiful souls and how we are so obsessed with what people look like I don't know I mean it gets programmed in from us us very early I guess but anyway um so dogs don't care what we look like they don't care what we smell like I don't know um they don't you know they don't care you know they just are so happy to see us and they just want to give us love and they just want to be loved and it's it's just like okay okay um so dog dog people yeah um you guys are you guys are giving me money that's so kind I appreciate that um I'm getting I'm getting there I am getting there keeps keeps flipping um okay yeah uh Sweden uh yes that that would yeah I'm I'm I'm glad that you're up we had one person in Austria I think and he he went to bed and then set his alarm to get up at 2 a.m to join our group I was like wow that is that is some some dedication there um the group takes the edge off which makes dealing with personal issues a little easier yeah I can see that megasoid I think that that is it just there's something about being with other humans I mean I I think that we all want to think that we're fine on our own and we're fine um being alone and I think that that's that's fine uh you know for most of the time but I do think we are human we're we're we need other humans in some respects so the closer we can get to people more like us that's helpful to go deeper yes like you know interacting with people at the shop can be just just lovely you know and just to just to give other people smiles and give other people love and ask them questions about you know just just compliment them.
- 1:05:34SPEAKER_00: I love going out to to the store sometimes and just just being a little light to other people you know and just making their day just a little bit brighter and um that always makes me feel happier.
- 1:05:47SPEAKER_00: Um okay have a good stream connections are important I feel who's the youngest um 33.
- 1:06:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, well, that's that's so cool.
- 1:06:03SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:06:04SPEAKER_00: I've been privileged to listen listen to your broadcasts.
- 1:06:07SPEAKER_00: You are so inspirational.
- 1:06:10SPEAKER_00: Well, it's funny that you say that.
- 1:06:12SPEAKER_00: Not like thank you.
- 1:06:17SPEAKER_00: And my motto has always been to be inspired and to inspire others.
- 1:06:26SPEAKER_00: Not in a way that's like, I want you, you know, like saying that feels weird, um, because being inspired, like, okay, I'm not gonna try and anyway, I'm yes.
- 1:06:43SPEAKER_00: So that has been a been a thing is like finding the inspiration for myself so that I can then, you know, just just I I call it being a cheerleader.
- 1:06:52SPEAKER_00: I love being a cheerleader for others because I think that's what I I love and need in my life, is just it's like I have the ability to do a lot of things, but I just when I just having somebody cheer me on is so helpful.
- 1:07:07SPEAKER_00: So I like I like cheering others on.
- 1:07:10SPEAKER_00: Walk betwixt worlds.
- 1:07:12SPEAKER_00: Ooh, I like that name.
- 1:07:14SPEAKER_00: That's so awesome.
- 1:07:16SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 1:07:16SPEAKER_00: Thank you for your contribution.
- 1:07:18SPEAKER_00: Agreed.
- 1:07:19SPEAKER_00: Thank you for speaking our mutual peace.
- 1:07:25SPEAKER_00: You deadly radiation is so old, he remembers laying out the pyramids in Egypt.
- 1:07:30SPEAKER_00: That's pretty old over there.
- 1:07:34SPEAKER_00: Are there pyramids in down there in Texas?
- 1:07:37SPEAKER_00: Maybe there's maybe you remember those ones.
- 1:07:40SPEAKER_00: It's cool to be with 50 people trying to be good humans and connect.
- 1:07:44SPEAKER_00: Yes, I agree.
- 1:07:45SPEAKER_00: I agree.
- 1:07:47SPEAKER_00: Um more blushing keeps the circulation in uh flowing.
- 1:07:54SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 1:07:55SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Megasoid.
- 1:07:56SPEAKER_00: I I appreciate you so much.
- 1:07:59SPEAKER_00: Um do this more often.
- 1:08:01SPEAKER_00: Okay, do this again.
- 1:08:02SPEAKER_00: You're leaving, do this again soon.
- 1:08:06SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:08:07SPEAKER_00: Regular tea time with Kate.
- 1:08:09SPEAKER_00: Yes, that would be good, right?
- 1:08:11SPEAKER_00: Have some have some tea.
- 1:08:12SPEAKER_00: That used to be our our motto on our on our other channel.
- 1:08:15SPEAKER_00: We would say, you know, you know, something about music theory and then, but first, tea.
- 1:08:22SPEAKER_00: Weekly, yes.
- 1:08:24SPEAKER_00: More YouTube lives.
- 1:08:26SPEAKER_00: Well, that would be fun if you if if like because I wasn't sure if anyone would show up.
- 1:08:31SPEAKER_00: So I know we're getting we're getting past the hour, so um, I should think about it, but I just want to see get um to the end of the comic, get caught up.
- 1:08:43SPEAKER_00: I love dogs, but cannot live with them.
- 1:08:45SPEAKER_00: They're the wrong kind of energy question mark.
- 1:08:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, you know, it's like it's living with another human or living with another being.
- 1:08:52SPEAKER_00: So sometimes we don't want to live with another being, you know.
- 1:08:57SPEAKER_00: We should do it more often.
- 1:08:59SPEAKER_00: Shout out to Hubby.
- 1:09:05SPEAKER_00: Um love the more often idea Ray raised.
- 1:09:10SPEAKER_00: Don't wait for 10,000 subscribers.
- 1:09:13SPEAKER_00: Yes, yeah.
- 1:09:14SPEAKER_00: Well, we'll see.
- 1:09:15SPEAKER_00: You never know when he might decide to.
- 1:09:18SPEAKER_00: I think he's feeling better, and you know, we'll we'll turn up, turn up at some point.
- 1:09:25SPEAKER_00: I love talking to old people growing up.
- 1:09:27SPEAKER_00: I agree, I agree.
- 1:09:30SPEAKER_00: Would be fun to do live QA's with you and a few guys from the channel.
- 1:09:34SPEAKER_00: I don't know how that would work tech-wise, but that would be so cool.
- 1:09:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, okay.
- 1:09:40SPEAKER_00: Good good idea.
- 1:09:41SPEAKER_00: I like it.
- 1:09:42SPEAKER_00: Dogs.
- 1:09:44SPEAKER_00: How many people you dated before marrying your husband?
- 1:09:49SPEAKER_00: Um, how many people did I date before my husband?
- 1:09:54SPEAKER_00: I only really dated serious, like dated long, like long term.
- 1:09:58SPEAKER_00: I didn't do short, short, so I waited until I found a person that I was like, yeah, I could be with this person long term.
- 1:10:07SPEAKER_00: So that was the only kind of dating I did.
- 1:10:11SPEAKER_01: So um I think I think four five.
- 1:10:21SPEAKER_00: I think five maybe so um, and I think most of them were somewhere on the scale of highly sensitive um or NFs of some kind.
- 1:10:34SPEAKER_00: So although the first I don't know what he was, he might have been an ISFJ.
- 1:10:38SPEAKER_00: Um, but yeah.
- 1:10:41SPEAKER_00: One thing I value with your channel is that you get that people and things you value are part of being true to yourself when many people think they're opposites.
- 1:10:52SPEAKER_00: I like not having to choose one or the other.
- 1:10:55SPEAKER_00: Hmm.
- 1:10:57SPEAKER_00: That's good.
- 1:10:58SPEAKER_00: That's good reflection.
- 1:11:00SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Ian.
- 1:11:02SPEAKER_00: Oh, thank you, Mark.
- 1:11:04SPEAKER_00: And I love your little dog.
- 1:11:05SPEAKER_00: That's great.
- 1:11:06SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 1:11:08SPEAKER_00: Orion Noir, you're still here.
- 1:11:09SPEAKER_00: That's so lovely.
- 1:11:10SPEAKER_00: I'm so glad you're here.
- 1:11:11SPEAKER_00: Public school teacher.
- 1:11:13SPEAKER_00: I was also in our department lead for 2.5 years and was in charge of nine other people.
- 1:11:17SPEAKER_00: Definitely feeling the doesn't like to lead larger group side of NFJ.
- 1:11:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:11:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, my husband was also the head of a music department of one of the biggest colleges in the UK in London.
- 1:11:30SPEAKER_00: And um, it's yeah, it was a lot, a lot for him.
- 1:11:34SPEAKER_00: But um, yeah.
- 1:11:40SPEAKER_01: I love how much you guys love dogs.
- 1:11:42SPEAKER_00: That's so great.
- 1:11:44SPEAKER_00: Finding your channel is a breath of fresh air, Kate.
- 1:11:46SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 1:11:47SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 1:11:50SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes, megasoid, yeah, bearing witness.
- 1:11:53SPEAKER_00: I think I think that's what we all need is a bit more of bearing witness for one another and what's happening.
- 1:12:02SPEAKER_00: And that's what I see in a lot of the comments is just that lack of that lack of anyone to just honor us, just see how the heavy burdens were we have, and and so I I feel you and I I see you in that, and I know how heavy some of these things can be.
- 1:12:36SPEAKER_00: And so yeah, hang in there, hang in there, and you know, we're we're all we're all trying to find the light together.
- 1:12:47SPEAKER_00: And so yeah, okay.
- 1:12:51SPEAKER_00: We'll we're almost there, and then I think we'll wrap up.
- 1:12:54SPEAKER_00: I could I could sit here and chat with you guys all day.
- 1:12:56SPEAKER_00: Um, really, it's it's so great.
- 1:12:59SPEAKER_00: Tiny blue apple.
- 1:13:00SPEAKER_00: Hello, tiny blue apple.
- 1:13:01SPEAKER_00: Um, nice to see you.
- 1:13:05SPEAKER_00: Uh oh, you're going back to school tomorrow.
- 1:13:11SPEAKER_00: Yes, I guess school is starting very soon.
- 1:13:14SPEAKER_00: So, you know, good luck to all the parents who have kids going back, and that must be quite quite the um quite the thing.
- 1:13:23SPEAKER_00: And Ray is feeling better.
- 1:13:26SPEAKER_00: Best news I've heard today.
- 1:13:28SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes, we have.
- 1:13:30SPEAKER_00: I mean, you know, like last week I had we had a dark day, and it's like, but the darker days get fewer and fewer and fewer and far between.
- 1:13:38SPEAKER_00: So that's that's a sign that you know that the light is returning, even though it might seem dark.
- 1:13:44SPEAKER_00: So, you know, it's it's just hanging in there together one day at a time.
- 1:13:50SPEAKER_00: Some days, as Fred said, just one step at a time sometimes, right?
- 1:13:55SPEAKER_00: And whether it's literal as in Fred building steps or you know, figurative.
- 1:14:03SPEAKER_00: Um wind blows rainfalls.
- 1:14:09SPEAKER_00: Hello, nice to see you.
- 1:14:10SPEAKER_00: I recognize your little photo.
- 1:14:12SPEAKER_00: Um, hello, dear souls.
- 1:14:17SPEAKER_00: Parmanand, nice to see you too.
- 1:14:20SPEAKER_00: Nice to see you here.
- 1:14:21SPEAKER_00: Didier, yes, more live videos would be great.
- 1:14:24SPEAKER_00: I have never done a live video.
- 1:14:26SPEAKER_00: I think that if I did, I would melt away from the nervousness and they'd clean me up off the floor.
- 1:14:35SPEAKER_00: I've got nowhere to go and plenty of tea.
- 1:14:37SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's nice, Mark.
- 1:14:38SPEAKER_00: That's so great.
- 1:14:39SPEAKER_00: I hope, I hope that you're all in the south there.
- 1:14:42SPEAKER_00: I hope it gets cool quite quickly.
- 1:14:44SPEAKER_00: Mark was saying that it was quite hot down there, so I'm I'm hoping that you guys um yeah, stay cool.
- 1:14:53SPEAKER_00: And plenty of tea.
- 1:14:56SPEAKER_00: Thank you, ma'am.
- 1:14:57SPEAKER_00: Thank you for your channel, ma'am.
- 1:14:59SPEAKER_00: There you go.
- 1:15:00SPEAKER_00: I'm doing it.
- 1:15:00SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm a ma'am now and bringing more awareness.
- 1:15:03SPEAKER_00: Your channel has been a safe haven for me.
- 1:15:05SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm happy to know that.
- 1:15:06SPEAKER_00: Knowledge born 85.
- 1:15:09SPEAKER_00: Um, seems like we're maybe similar age.
- 1:15:11SPEAKER_00: I don't know, but it's it's lovely to have you here.
- 1:15:15SPEAKER_00: Have a wonderful week, everyone.
- 1:15:17SPEAKER_00: It's getting daylight here now.
- 1:15:18SPEAKER_00: Okay, Tim, have such a lovely week.
- 1:15:21SPEAKER_00: We'll see you around soon.
- 1:15:23SPEAKER_00: And uh, Phil says, in older cultures, every village had a shaman priest or healer that served the whole society in a therapeutic way.
- 1:15:31SPEAKER_00: We lost this, and places like Light Bears Library is needed online these days.
- 1:15:36SPEAKER_00: You guys are so kind.
- 1:15:38SPEAKER_00: And the thing is, is that you are making it what it is.
- 1:15:44SPEAKER_00: It's like you showing up and sharing what you're going through, sharing the stories, it helps, it helps guide everything that I do here, right?
- 1:15:57SPEAKER_00: It's it's all sinking in and and going in there.
- 1:16:01SPEAKER_00: So it's it's a way of of navigating.
- 1:16:05SPEAKER_00: And so each video is taken from an amalgamation of things that you know you're you're bringing, bringing and leaving in the comments, and that my husband is going through and that we're going through.
- 1:16:19SPEAKER_00: And so it's it's such a I'm finding it really a beautiful, a beautiful space to to to be in.
- 1:16:27SPEAKER_00: Um and some days, some days it's hard, hard to read some of the comments, and um, but I but I appreciate that this is a space where somebody was saying that they appreciated it's a space to come and say the things that it's hard to say anywhere else, or that there is no other space to say these things.
- 1:16:47SPEAKER_00: So um I'm really grateful that you come and you like you're so generous with your stories and with what you're going through.
- 1:17:00SPEAKER_00: And I always feel so honored that you would come and share the bits of grief that you're going through, or anger, or or injustice that's going on in your life, or whatever, whatever, whatever is most most present for you.
- 1:17:16SPEAKER_00: So I'm so I'm so grateful.
- 1:17:18SPEAKER_00: And um I think I think with that, um I think um I'll uh I'll go.
- 1:17:26SPEAKER_00: It's time to make some lunch here.
- 1:17:29SPEAKER_00: And um, but I this has been this has been like so much better and bigger than um than I could have imagined.
- 1:17:41SPEAKER_00: So um yeah, I I'm really grateful.
- 1:17:46SPEAKER_00: Sweden, wow, that's so nice that you're here.
- 1:17:51SPEAKER_00: Um sonab Sonav Sol.
- 1:17:57SPEAKER_00: Sorry, I when it's all together, I find it hard to read.
- 1:18:00SPEAKER_00: So thank you so much for for being here and um um Phil.
- 1:18:06SPEAKER_00: No, your comments are not not intense.
- 1:18:08SPEAKER_00: We're all a bit intense sometimes, and that's what I love about it.
