- 0:36SPEAKER_14: We're in the West Side.
- 0:37SPEAKER_14: We're in the the West side.
- 0:38SPEAKER_14: West side done fun dungeon.
- 0:42SPEAKER_12: So uh what we've been teasing uh about happening for, I don't know, months now.
- 0:48SPEAKER_12: Uh has happened.
- 0:50SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 0:51SPEAKER_12: Um we're moved.
- 0:52SPEAKER_12: We we are moved.
- 0:53SPEAKER_12: Um the fun dungeon has been relocated.
- 0:58SPEAKER_12: It's not really a I guess it's still a dungeon, right?
- 1:01SPEAKER_13: It's it's it's uh it's a fun hall.
- 1:04SPEAKER_13: It's it's more like a uh it's more like a fun dungeon.
- 1:07SPEAKER_13: It's more like a dungeon like in a Monty Python sense.
- 1:10SPEAKER_13: Okay, yeah.
- 1:11SPEAKER_13: You know, yeah, yeah.
- 1:12SPEAKER_13: I'll take that.
- 1:13SPEAKER_13: Where you know it's it's still dungeon-y, but it's gonna be funny.
- 1:17SPEAKER_13: Right.
- 1:17SPEAKER_13: So you know, I'm waiting for, you know, Rowan Akinson to come out somewhere.
- 1:22SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 1:23SPEAKER_13: You know.
- 1:23SPEAKER_12: So the uh so and to back up a little bit, uh those of them that have been listening for a long time know that um the fun dungeon was we had uh built on to our ranch style house gosh sixteen years ago.
- 1:43SPEAKER_13: What was it?
- 1:44SPEAKER_13: Like fifteen years ago, something like that.
- 1:46SPEAKER_12: Uh we went out fourteen feet, uh, and it was you know, the w the the width of it was the same, but we went out fourteen feet, added a bathroom and a and an entryway and a new section of the basement.
- 2:01SPEAKER_12: And that new section of the basement was our our little music room and and and podcast room and just it was like a m sort of like a man cave, I guess, you know?
- 2:10SPEAKER_12: Yeah for lack of a better man cave-ish.
- 2:12SPEAKER_12: Man cavish.
- 2:13SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 2:14SPEAKER_12: And you know, it was like that for years and years and years and years.
- 2:18SPEAKER_13: And well, ever since we started doing this.
- 2:20SPEAKER_12: Yep.
- 2:20SPEAKER_12: At least.
- 2:21SPEAKER_12: Yep.
- 2:22SPEAKER_12: And so uh and then my wife's uh business kind of took on a life of its own and she has been occupying our entryway with stuff.
- 2:34SPEAKER_12: Like she does shirts, and so she's got t-shirt presses there, and she's got uh printers, and she's got shirts, and she's got just it's just you walk in our house and it was hard to maneuver and and it was like a twenty-first century little house on the prairie.
- 2:50SPEAKER_13: Yeah, you know, everything took place in this one area.
- 2:54SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 2:54SPEAKER_13: You know?
- 2:55SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 2:55SPEAKER_12: It was pretty awesome.
- 2:56SPEAKER_12: And it was awesome.
- 2:58SPEAKER_12: It yeah, but it was a pain.
- 3:00SPEAKER_13: You know, we couldn't have people over because it we have to clean everything and it was just Well, I always like coming over because I was like, oh wow, there's like eighty-seven UPS boxes.
- 3:08SPEAKER_13: Right.
- 3:08SPEAKER_12: Awesome.
- 3:10SPEAKER_12: That's that's true.
- 3:11SPEAKER_12: You you you trip over them when you come in.
- 3:13SPEAKER_12: But anyway, so she needed a uh a better spot.
- 3:17SPEAKER_12: So we just we had made the decision to clean out the fun dungeon and Doug and I would go wherever we could.
- 3:24SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 3:25SPEAKER_12: And so uh we actually started last weekend and uh I cleaned out m most of the fun dungeon.
- 3:34SPEAKER_12: That corner still with it with your sofa still needs to come out.
- 3:38SPEAKER_12: Is the sofa still there?
- 3:39SPEAKER_12: It's still there.
- 3:39SPEAKER_12: Oh, okay.
- 3:40SPEAKER_12: It's it's going in the trash.
- 3:43SPEAKER_13: Um it's it's it served its purpose.
- 3:45SPEAKER_12: So we're in the old section of the basement.
- 3:48SPEAKER_12: We should set it on fire.
- 3:50SPEAKER_12: What, the old section of the basement?
- 3:52SPEAKER_12: No.
- 3:52SPEAKER_12: No.
- 3:53SPEAKER_13: The love seat.
- 3:54SPEAKER_12: The love seat?
- 3:55SPEAKER_13: Just burn it.
- 3:56SPEAKER_13: Just have this big massive bottom fire.
- 3:58SPEAKER_12: Well, I have, I don't know if you've noticed.
- 4:00SPEAKER_12: You've well you have noticed, I think.
- 4:02SPEAKER_12: You've seen all the wood out of my backyard.
- 4:03SPEAKER_13: Oh yeah, yeah, I saw that.
- 4:04SPEAKER_12: Yeah, I threw all because all that was was over there.
- 4:06SPEAKER_13: Right, right, right.
- 4:07SPEAKER_13: And you threw it out the window.
- 4:08SPEAKER_12: I threw it out the window.
- 4:09SPEAKER_13: You're just like, I'm sick of this!
- 4:11SPEAKER_12: And I had to make room, and and uh so yeah, that's gotta be burned.
- 4:15SPEAKER_12: Uh most of it anyway.
- 4:16SPEAKER_13: I was about to say just set up set up the love seat and then just pile the wood on it and then just like Yeah, before the snow flies.
- 4:27SPEAKER_13: Hey, do it when the snow friends.
- 4:29SPEAKER_13: S'mores.
- 4:30SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 4:31SPEAKER_13: Just hot dogs, s'mores.
- 4:33SPEAKER_13: We'll we'll have a big O'Brien and Doug podcast party.
- 4:37SPEAKER_13: Can you burn faux leather?
- 4:40SPEAKER_12: Or maybe real leather?
- 4:41SPEAKER_13: We'll find out.
- 4:46SPEAKER_12: Hey, that worked.
- 4:47SPEAKER_12: We are gonna have to put up with this every once in a while.
- 4:49SPEAKER_13: That's okay.
- 4:49SPEAKER_12: That's my furnace.
- 4:50SPEAKER_13: That's heat.
- 4:51unknown: Yeah.
- 4:51SPEAKER_13: That's not that we feel it, but we we it would be heat.
- 4:55SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 4:55SPEAKER_12: I turned off the dehumidifier.
- 4:57SPEAKER_13: That's okay, yeah.
- 4:58SPEAKER_12: Um, but yeah, this furnace will come on, you know, every once in a while.
- 5:03SPEAKER_13: It'll add character.
- 5:04SPEAKER_13: It'll be like, hey, hey, it we're hearing from Mr.
- 5:07SPEAKER_13: Furnace.
- 5:07SPEAKER_13: Hi, Mr.
- 5:08SPEAKER_13: Furnace.
- 5:11SPEAKER_13: It's gonna become a character on the show.
- 5:12SPEAKER_13: It's gonna be a character on the show.
- 5:14SPEAKER_13: How you been?
- 5:14SPEAKER_13: How was your day?
- 5:15SPEAKER_13: What was that of Pee Wee's playoffs?
- 5:17SPEAKER_14: Hey Johnny! Hey, Mr.
- 5:20SPEAKER_14: Furnace!
- 5:24SPEAKER_13: Except he always says the same thing all the time.
- 5:26SPEAKER_12: The other thing that you're gonna you're gonna notice, because um when we were in the old or in the old fun dungeon, um you could hear every, you know, when people walk in.
- 5:36SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 5:36SPEAKER_12: You could kind of could hear them as they as they walk past.
- 5:38SPEAKER_12: Yeah, you could hear the door open when they walk across the well now we are under the uh kitchen and the living room.
- 5:47SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 5:48SPEAKER_12: And like earlier, as I was getting ready for the podcast, uh my daughter was bouncing a basketball.
- 5:56SPEAKER_12: You could not uh get away from it, to be honest.
- 6:01SPEAKER_12: So we're just you know, I think it'll be fine.
- 6:03SPEAKER_13: We'll just Hey, I wonder if uh I wonder if that arm didn't work.
- 6:07SPEAKER_13: Is that is that why I stopped using it?
- 6:09SPEAKER_13: No, you didn't like it.
- 6:10SPEAKER_13: I didn't like it?
- 6:11SPEAKER_13: You didn't like it.
- 6:13SPEAKER_13: Why didn't I like it?
- 6:14SPEAKER_12: I don't know.
- 6:14SPEAKER_12: The you are missing the um pin in the Yeah.
- 6:17SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 6:20SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 6:20SPEAKER_13: So we'll have to I was about to say we're gonna be like Yeah, yeah.
- 6:23SPEAKER_12: Well, I mean if you got some duct tape.
- 6:25SPEAKER_12: If you want me to if you want me to mount that on there, I can.
- 6:28SPEAKER_13: Yeah, that way I could move closer and then I can stop stop hanging on to this.
- 6:32SPEAKER_13: Sure.
- 6:32SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 6:33SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 6:33SPEAKER_13: I thought you liked hanging on to it.
- 6:34SPEAKER_13: That's why I I wasn't gonna go there, but it would be a lot easier because I because I I'm always like resting it on my yeah, on my gut.
- 6:50SPEAKER_13: Yep.
- 6:50SPEAKER_13: And it sometimes it does that.
- 6:53SPEAKER_13: I'd like to feel like professional.
- 6:55SPEAKER_13: Sure.
- 6:55SPEAKER_13: Ish.
- 6:57SPEAKER_13: Like like see you got a nice setup.
- 7:00SPEAKER_13: I'm just like I would I should be professional too.

- 7:20SPEAKER_13: Oh, and I have a new chair.
- 7:21SPEAKER_13: You bought me a new chair.
- 7:22SPEAKER_12: I did, yeah.
- 7:23SPEAKER_12: So we went looking.
- 7:24SPEAKER_12: Um well, I went to Marden's and the cheapest chair's cheapest chair they had at Mardin's was 300 bucks.
- 7:31SPEAKER_12: And I was like, what?
- 7:32SPEAKER_12: I love duck, but uh not that much.
- 7:35SPEAKER_12: I'm gonna put them on a folding chair.
- 7:38SPEAKER_12: Here's a beanbag chair.
- 7:40SPEAKER_12: Oh, there was one.
- 7:42SPEAKER_12: There was one.
- 7:43SPEAKER_12: Actually, I think I still have a picture of it.
- 7:45SPEAKER_12: I sent uh the first picture.

- 7:54SPEAKER_12: I sent a picture to my wife um to see if maybe uh this is the one I should get Doug.
- 8:01SPEAKER_12: She's like, no.
- 8:02SPEAKER_12: I was like, it was a joke, dear.
- 8:05SPEAKER_12: But this this was the one I was thinking about at first.

- 8:14SPEAKER_13: It's like you sprawl out on it.
- 8:17SPEAKER_13: Whoa, welcome to O'Brien and Doug after dark.

- 8:30SPEAKER_13: Look at you.
- 8:34SPEAKER_13: Well, all your hoses and pipes.
- 8:42SPEAKER_12: I saw that chair and I was like, I could see like Princess Leia all sprawled out on a top of the hut.

- 9:16SPEAKER_12: So um let's recap uh the weekend.
- 9:20SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 9:22SPEAKER_12: What did I do Saturday?
- 9:25SPEAKER_12: I'm trying to think.
- 9:26SPEAKER_12: Did I do anything Saturday?
- 9:28SPEAKER_12: Oh, yeah, I did this.
- 9:29SPEAKER_12: Oh yeah, yeah.
- 9:30SPEAKER_12: That's about to say.
- 9:31SPEAKER_12: This is what I did.
- 9:32SPEAKER_12: You didn't do this today, so no, I did it, uh, I did it all day Saturday.
- 9:36SPEAKER_12: Um and Sunday.
- 9:39SPEAKER_12: You know, I completely forgot that we had a gig on Sunday.
- 9:41SPEAKER_12: You did?
- 9:42SPEAKER_12: Yeah, I woke up uh for church.
- 9:44SPEAKER_12: I was thinking that I could finish this on Sunday on Sunday.
- 9:48SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 9:48SPEAKER_12: Right?
- 9:49SPEAKER_12: And I I woke up and I was getting ready for for church.
- 9:52SPEAKER_12: And I was like, I'm I gotta do the rest of that studio.
- 9:56SPEAKER_12: Oh wait.
- 9:57SPEAKER_12: And then I looked at my calendar.
- 9:59SPEAKER_12: Yeah, Doug, and I have a gig.
- 10:01SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 10:02SPEAKER_13: So it was an odd gig.
- 10:04SPEAKER_13: It was an odd gig.
- 10:05SPEAKER_13: And it was like, even when I got here, I was like, man, I don't know about this gig, man, because we don't know anything about this, about these people.
- 10:12SPEAKER_13: We don't know where it is.
- 10:13SPEAKER_13: I haven't heard of this.
- 10:14SPEAKER_12: I texted the person that hired us and I said, I forgot your name.
- 10:19SPEAKER_12: He laughed.
- 10:20SPEAKER_12: He was like, Yeah.
- 10:20SPEAKER_12: So he told me his name, and he said, You're going to this place, uh, which is up in Garfield.
- 10:26SPEAKER_12: Uh neither of us had ever heard of it.
- 10:28SPEAKER_12: No.
- 10:28SPEAKER_12: And didn't know it existed.
- 10:30SPEAKER_12: We did not know what to expect.
- 10:31SPEAKER_12: We were told we're gonna play four hours.
- 10:33SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 10:34SPEAKER_12: And we did not know what to expect.
- 10:37SPEAKER_12: We showed up and the bulk of the people there were our portage crowd.
- 10:42SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 10:43SPEAKER_12: We saw in Fort Kent the week before, or the two or two weeks before.
- 10:46SPEAKER_12: Was it a week before?
- 10:47SPEAKER_12: Two we two weeks.
- 10:48SPEAKER_12: It was almost a month ago.
- 10:49SPEAKER_12: Was it a month ago?
- 10:49SPEAKER_12: Yeah, almost.
- 10:50SPEAKER_12: September twenty.
- 10:52SPEAKER_12: No, September 19th.
- 10:53SPEAKER_12: September 19th.
- 10:54SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 10:54SPEAKER_12: That's what it was.
- 10:55SPEAKER_12: Um, but it was the same crew, basically.
- 10:58SPEAKER_12: Um, you know, plus plus a few other ones.
- 11:01SPEAKER_12: And it was it was like a barn, and and the side of the barn was made into a bar and grill.
- 11:08SPEAKER_12: So they had an actual bar in there.
- 11:09SPEAKER_12: Yep.
- 11:10SPEAKER_12: And they had catered a party.
- 11:12SPEAKER_12: Some of their friends were visiting from the UK.
- 11:15SPEAKER_12: Very nice people.
- 11:16SPEAKER_12: Very nice people.
- 11:16SPEAKER_12: All of them were.
- 11:17SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 11:18SPEAKER_12: And and very appreciative of us, which was great.
- 11:20SPEAKER_13: Yeah, that's that's a that's a nice change.
- 11:22SPEAKER_12: You know, even though, even though, I mean, there were there were times when when they were I mean, they were held holding their own conversations and and and enjoying themselves, and I'm not gonna say ignoring us, but we were there.
- 11:35SPEAKER_13: Yeah, they're just doing their thing.
- 11:36SPEAKER_13: Yeah, yeah.
- 11:36SPEAKER_13: I mean, they had I mean this place had like three or four, what was it, three or four big screen TVs?
- 11:42SPEAKER_12: Yeah, they were watching the game at NASCAR.
- 11:44SPEAKER_12: NASCAR was on.
- 11:45SPEAKER_12: So it was like a legit bar.
- 11:47SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 11:47SPEAKER_12: You know.
- 11:48SPEAKER_12: And uh, but they were, you know, they were requesting songs, and we would we would try and fulfill those requests and and really appreciate it.
- 11:56SPEAKER_12: And they clapped a lot.
- 11:58SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 11:58SPEAKER_12: Um, so it was And they made us eat.
- 12:01SPEAKER_12: They made us eat.
- 12:01SPEAKER_12: They said, take a break.
- 12:02SPEAKER_12: Yeah, we want to get get you some food.
- 12:04SPEAKER_12: So they fed us some really good food.
- 12:07SPEAKER_12: And um, and we did very well again.
- 12:09SPEAKER_12: Yes.
- 12:10SPEAKER_12: Uh, with that group of people.
- 12:11SPEAKER_12: So we were very happy to play for them.
- 12:13SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 12:13SPEAKER_13: Well, I mean, it was just it was just nice to, you know, you're like, oh, I don't know about this gig too.
- 12:19SPEAKER_13: Oh man, it's all our people here.
- 12:20SPEAKER_13: All right, woo!
- 12:21SPEAKER_12: And you know what else was fun for me anyway, and I I think it was fun for you, was um we kind of um for lack of a better term, let our guard down.
- 12:36SPEAKER_12: Um because it was those people.
- 12:39SPEAKER_12: We started trying some things.
- 12:41SPEAKER_12: Yeah, we did stuff that we we we played songs that we hadn't played, either hadn't played in a long time, or we've never played.
- 12:47SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 12:47SPEAKER_12: A lot of that, yeah.
- 12:48SPEAKER_12: A lot of that, and some of it was fruitful.
- 12:52SPEAKER_12: I mean, I was like, well, we should put that in the show.
- 12:55SPEAKER_13: We were like, hey, let's do that from now on.
- 12:56SPEAKER_13: Yeah, that was pretty good.
- 12:57SPEAKER_12: We did we did okay on that.
- 12:58SPEAKER_12: So and we and we did a lot of that.
- 13:00SPEAKER_12: We played some originals, or did we just play the one original?
- 13:03SPEAKER_13: I think we just played, I don't even remember playing the one original, but usually we do.
- 13:06SPEAKER_12: Yeah, I think we did.
- 13:07SPEAKER_12: We just played the one, yeah, but we played some stuff that um we haven't played in quite a lot.
- 13:13SPEAKER_13: Well, I was like, there was a couple ones I was like, does that even work acoustically?
- 13:17SPEAKER_13: You were like, eh.
- 13:18SPEAKER_13: I don't know, we're gonna find out.
- 13:19SPEAKER_13: We're gonna find out.
- 13:20SPEAKER_13: And then we get done, we're like, yeah, that works.
- 13:22SPEAKER_13: All right, yeah.
- 13:24SPEAKER_12: Next song.
- 13:25SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 13:26SPEAKER_12: So, uh, and that was that was pretty cool.
- 13:28SPEAKER_12: And then we got the guy from the UK.
- 13:30SPEAKER_12: Um did you ever get his name?
- 13:31SPEAKER_12: Nope.
- 13:31SPEAKER_12: Yeah, I didn't know.
- 13:34SPEAKER_13: He was very British.
- 13:35SPEAKER_12: Very British.
- 13:35SPEAKER_12: Oh yeah, you know, I was like, Yes.
- 13:38SPEAKER_12: Very nice, super nice guy.
- 13:40SPEAKER_12: Super nice guy.
- 13:41SPEAKER_12: Um, but we let him down several times.
- 13:43SPEAKER_13: I don't think so.
- 13:44SPEAKER_13: Well, I mean just the one.
- 13:46SPEAKER_13: They wanted to hear Cole play.
- 13:48SPEAKER_13: We're like, I don't we don't have a piano.
- 13:50SPEAKER_12: He requested something else.
- 13:51SPEAKER_12: Uh he requested like three songs that we we couldn't do.
- 13:54SPEAKER_13: Well, I just remember not being able to do Cole Play.
- 13:56SPEAKER_12: No, yeah, there was more.
- 13:57SPEAKER_12: There was more.
- 13:57SPEAKER_12: There was yeah.
- 13:58SPEAKER_12: Oh, uh, and there was another guy that requested John Prine.
- 14:01SPEAKER_12: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 14:02SPEAKER_12: That was a different guy.
- 14:03SPEAKER_12: Yeah, that was a different guy.
- 14:04SPEAKER_12: And we only do one John Prine song.
- 14:06SPEAKER_12: Yep.
- 14:07SPEAKER_12: Um, so yeah.
- 14:09SPEAKER_12: But no, I would say uh an overwhelming success.
- 14:12SPEAKER_12: And uh it was a lot of fun.
- 14:14SPEAKER_12: It was a great gig.
- 14:15SPEAKER_12: We picked up another gig, so in two weeks we're playing Holton uh on a Friday, the 23rd, and then on Saturday, the 24th, we're playing uh the initiation at the Elks Lodge in Prescle.
- 14:26SPEAKER_12: I'm not sure what that's gonna entail.
- 14:28SPEAKER_12: Does that mean we become elks?
- 14:29SPEAKER_12: No, no.
- 14:30SPEAKER_12: No, no, we're just there to watch other people become elks, I guess.
- 14:33SPEAKER_13: Or or is it after they're probably after.
- 14:35SPEAKER_12: Okay.
- 14:36SPEAKER_12: Yeah, it's probably after.
- 14:37SPEAKER_13: That'd be cool though.
- 14:38SPEAKER_12: I've been told that looks scary.
- 14:41SPEAKER_12: I've been told by a certain drummer that we're in three bands with um that uh they like to drink.
- 14:49SPEAKER_12: Well, they're elks.
- 14:49SPEAKER_12: Like the Elks Lodge, you know.
- 14:51SPEAKER_12: I get it.
- 14:51SPEAKER_12: I said, Yes, I know.
- 14:52SPEAKER_12: The the the man that hired me, uh I graduated with.
- 14:55SPEAKER_12: I know exactly what you mean.
- 14:56SPEAKER_13: So I mean, if I named my club after a stupid animal, I'd probably drink too.
- 15:02SPEAKER_13: Elks.
- 15:03SPEAKER_13: Why why an elk?
- 15:04SPEAKER_13: So many cooler names.
- 15:07SPEAKER_13: Isn't that it's not an acronym, is it?
- 15:09SPEAKER_13: No, I don't think so.
- 15:09SPEAKER_13: I think it's just they're probably like, hey, let's let's let's start a let's start a group and we'll be an animal.
- 15:16SPEAKER_13: Let's be a wolf.
- 15:17SPEAKER_13: Nah.
- 15:18SPEAKER_13: Let's be lions, but there's already lions clubs.
- 15:21SPEAKER_13: No, we are there's already lions, huh?
- 15:22SPEAKER_13: Let's be an elk.
- 15:24SPEAKER_13: Hey, you're on to something.
- 15:27SPEAKER_13: Elk's Lodge after dark.
- 15:34SPEAKER_13: When did we go off the rail?
- 15:36SPEAKER_13: When I got the new chair.
- 15:37SPEAKER_13: Yeah, apparently.
- 15:40SPEAKER_12: Do you like it?
- 15:40SPEAKER_12: It'll serve the purpose.
- 15:41SPEAKER_12: I like it.
- 15:41SPEAKER_12: It'll serve the purpose, right?
- 15:42SPEAKER_13: Yeah, I mean, I was you were you were like careful the bottom, but it it seems pretty solid.
- 15:47SPEAKER_13: It seems okay.
- 15:47SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 15:48SPEAKER_12: Okay.
- 15:48SPEAKER_13: I just I'm I'm I'm I'm still new to it, so I don't want to like move a lot.
- 15:52SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 15:53SPEAKER_13: But uh I mean it's very comfortable.
- 15:55SPEAKER_13: Good.
- 15:55SPEAKER_13: It's a very good noise.
- 15:56SPEAKER_13: As long as you're happy.
- 15:58SPEAKER_13: I should get a big sign.
- 15:59SPEAKER_13: I would put this put this sign behind me.
- 16:01SPEAKER_13: Well, actually like we'll attach it to the back of the chair.
- 16:05SPEAKER_13: Like this.
- 16:06SPEAKER_13: You know what I mean?
- 16:07SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 16:08SPEAKER_13: She'd be like, eh.
- 16:09SPEAKER_12: Actually, the plan is, I think I told you this, is to build some movable walls.
- 16:15SPEAKER_13: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 16:16SPEAKER_12: Yeah, we were talking about that on the way back from the So that when we do eventually we'd like to eventually uh film the podcast uh so that you can.
- 16:24SPEAKER_12: I don't know why.
- 16:25SPEAKER_13: We should get a a like a green screen so then we can change the wall to whatever we want.
- 16:31SPEAKER_12: Well, we can what we can do is when we build those movable walls, we can put green on them.
- 16:35SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 16:36SPEAKER_12: So that they'll be green.
- 16:37SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 16:38SPEAKER_13: And then we can just like project out, yeah.
- 16:39SPEAKER_13: Oh, yeah, we're live from you know the top of the Eiffel Tower.
- 16:44SPEAKER_13: Yay! Woo! It's really windy up here.
- 16:48SPEAKER_12: The funny thing is, is my wife has I I read was reading an article on something, and then somebody said, Well, you made all this money on TikTok.
- 16:55SPEAKER_12: And I said to my wife, I said, Do you think I should start a TikTok?
- 16:58SPEAKER_12: She said, Yeah.
- 16:59SPEAKER_12: Yeah, you and Doug.
- 17:01SPEAKER_12: And I said, But I see Doug once a week for the podcast.
- 17:07SPEAKER_12: She's like, Well see him more.
- 17:13SPEAKER_12: I I don't know what we would do.
- 17:14SPEAKER_13: Doug, come over and we'll put you TikTok.
- 17:17SPEAKER_12: That's the thing.
- 17:18SPEAKER_12: I don't want to do that.
- 17:18SPEAKER_12: I don't want to be that guy.
- 17:20SPEAKER_12: Doing TikTok?
- 17:21SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 17:22SPEAKER_12: But I wonder I'm wondering if we're we're missing an opportunity there.
- 17:25SPEAKER_13: Well, I mean I don't know what the copyright laws are on TikTok, but I mean I don't mean doing the podcast on TikTok.
- 17:33SPEAKER_13: No, just doing videos on TikTok.
- 17:34SPEAKER_13: Yeah, yeah.
- 17:35SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 17:36SPEAKER_12: And just being us, the stupid people that we are.
- 17:38SPEAKER_13: Well, I mean, we could just film like this and just clip it, you know, or just like, you know.
- 17:44SPEAKER_13: Exactly.
- 17:44SPEAKER_13: I don't know.
- 17:45SPEAKER_12: I don't know.
- 17:45SPEAKER_12: I don't know how stuff works.
- 17:46SPEAKER_12: I know.
- 17:47SPEAKER_12: See, my daughter knows how stuff works, but yeah, she let us down.
- 17:51SPEAKER_12: Wait, which one?
- 17:52SPEAKER_12: Olivia.
- 17:53SPEAKER_12: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 17:54SPEAKER_12: She didn't really, but she's busy.
- 17:55SPEAKER_12: She's busy.
- 17:56SPEAKER_12: She got stuff to do.
- 17:57SPEAKER_12: She does.
- 17:58SPEAKER_13: She got her own life.
- 17:59SPEAKER_12: Yes.
- 18:00SPEAKER_12: Um, so let's see.
- 18:02SPEAKER_12: Anything else to recap for the weekend?
- 18:04SPEAKER_12: I don't think so.
- 18:04SPEAKER_12: I think that was it.
- 18:06SPEAKER_12: Well, we're back to school with the high school.
- 18:07unknown: Yeah.
- 18:08SPEAKER_12: The high school's back in session.
- 18:09SPEAKER_12: So that was I had I had them for the first time today.
- 18:12SPEAKER_12: Yay! Um and surprisingly, we uh we've only done two songs so far.
- 18:16SPEAKER_12: Surprisingly, they remembered them.
- 18:18SPEAKER_12: Wow.
- 18:19SPEAKER_12: Uh I said I showed up, I said, Do you we'll just let's just send it.
- 18:23SPEAKER_12: Let's just do it.
- 18:24SPEAKER_12: And they're like, okay.
- 18:26SPEAKER_12: And so they did the first song that we've been working on, and it was well obviously it's not perfect, but uh was really good for for being out for three weeks.
- 18:37SPEAKER_12: And then I said, Do you think you could do it without the music?
- 18:40SPEAKER_12: And you know, half of them were like, No, not a chance.
- 18:43SPEAKER_12: And half of them were like, Yeah, I think so.
- 18:45SPEAKER_12: So I said, Let's try it.
- 18:47SPEAKER_12: They all did it without reading the music.
- 18:49SPEAKER_12: Nice.
- 18:49SPEAKER_12: It was nice.
- 18:50SPEAKER_12: So um coming along nicely.
- 18:52SPEAKER_12: I was uh I was pleasantly surprised after I said shut up sever several times.
- 18:57SPEAKER_12: No, of course.
- 18:58SPEAKER_12: I didn't say shut up, but you know.
- 18:59SPEAKER_12: You were probably like shh hi mr.
- 19:03SPEAKER_12: Mr.
- 19:03SPEAKER_12: She might want to she maybe she must have turned the heat up or something.
- 19:06SPEAKER_13: Probably it's cold out.
- 19:07SPEAKER_13: Yeah, it is cold out.
- 19:10SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 19:11SPEAKER_12: So I don't know if she turned the heat up or if it's just I think it's just it's just chili.
- 19:15SPEAKER_12: But it doesn't usually come on that often.
- 19:17SPEAKER_12: That but we'll we'll see.
- 19:19SPEAKER_12: We'll listen to this podcast a little bit later and see how much of an interference it is.
- 19:22SPEAKER_12: I don't think I don't think it's gonna be a huge must.
- 19:24SPEAKER_12: Yeah, I don't think so either.
- 19:25SPEAKER_12: Um so a couple of things in rock news or music news.
- 19:31SPEAKER_12: Um Lou Graham.
- 19:33SPEAKER_12: You mean Lou Reed?
- 19:34SPEAKER_12: No, Lou Graham.
- 19:35SPEAKER_12: I know you were gonna say that.
- 19:37SPEAKER_13: Because I always get him confused.
- 19:39SPEAKER_12: Uh he says that uh there's a headline on ultimate classicrock.com and he was on a podcast and he was talking about because Gene Simmons has has said for a long time that rock and roll is dead.
- 19:52SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 19:53SPEAKER_12: And Lou Graham says he doesn't necessarily disagree with him.
- 19:56SPEAKER_12: And I don't know how much of this is just old guys, you know, um talking about it.
- 20:01SPEAKER_13: It's just old men yelling at clouds kind of thing.
- 20:03SPEAKER_12: But yeah, but we I mean they're not we've said the kind of the same thing, not the same thing, but we we we've said I mean, even as as recent as last week, we were like, you know, unless you're following a band.
- 20:16SPEAKER_13: Yeah, you're not gonna hear it.
- 20:17SPEAKER_12: You're not gonna hear about it.
- 20:18SPEAKER_12: Because they don't play them on the radio.
- 20:19SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 20:20SPEAKER_12: Um so I think there's an element of old guys yelling at the what did you call what did you say?
- 20:24SPEAKER_12: Old men yelling at clouds.
- 20:26SPEAKER_12: Old men yelling at clouds.
- 20:27SPEAKER_12: I think there's an element of that.
- 20:28SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 20:28SPEAKER_12: But he's got a point.
- 20:29SPEAKER_12: But they yeah, they're not wrong.
- 20:30SPEAKER_12: No, I I want to I want to read a little bit of uh about what he said.
- 20:34SPEAKER_12: Um he it's you know, it's yes, there's an element of back in my day, yeah.
- 20:40SPEAKER_12: You did it this way.
- 20:41SPEAKER_12: You know?
- 20:42SPEAKER_12: Um the hits that made Foreigner one of the I disagree with a couple of things he says.
- 20:46SPEAKER_12: The hits that made Foreigner one of the world's most successful bands would be ignored in the modern world.
- 20:51SPEAKER_12: He said, the rock that's in the charts right now is not of my liking.
- 20:56SPEAKER_13: Um well that may be true, but those are two separate issues.
- 21:00SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 21:01SPEAKER_12: Uh he goes on to say, I don't even know if I would call it rock.
- 21:05SPEAKER_12: I don't even know what to call it.
- 21:07SPEAKER_12: It's just more commercial and middle of the road and poppy.
- 21:11SPEAKER_12: Very poppy.
- 21:12SPEAKER_12: And then I think cold as ice.
- 21:16SPEAKER_12: I want to know what love is.
- 21:18SPEAKER_12: That's poppy.
- 21:19SPEAKER_12: That is super pop.
- 21:21SPEAKER_12: Super pop.
- 21:21SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 21:22SPEAKER_12: You know?
- 21:23SPEAKER_12: Obviously, you have hot blood and everything, but even that's got an element of pop to it.
- 21:29SPEAKER_13: Check it and see.
- 21:30SPEAKER_13: I mean, if you look, if you go through Foreigner's catalog, it's like there's a lot of pop.
- 21:35SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 21:36SPEAKER_13: I mean it's rock and roll, but yeah, but it's it's it's got a pop sensibility to it.
- 21:40SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 21:40SPEAKER_13: And I think that's like their niche.
- 21:42SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 21:43SPEAKER_12: You know?
- 21:43SPEAKER_12: So So when he says very poppy, I mean what rock radio is he listening to?
- 21:49SPEAKER_12: Because I you know, like we we listened to Slash and the Conspirators, their new one last last on the last episode.
- 21:56SPEAKER_12: And that wasn't poppy, it was straight up rock.
- 21:59SPEAKER_13: I was rock.
- 22:00SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 22:00SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 22:00SPEAKER_12: Uh he added, I'm hoping that it can be steered back to something that will at least accommodate the good rock musicians and songwriters.
- 22:07SPEAKER_12: Maybe it's just an element of, you know, him listening to the radio.
- 22:11SPEAKER_12: Maybe that's just what he means.
- 22:12SPEAKER_13: Well, if you're just listening to the radio, yeah, you're not gonna hear you're not gonna hear rock.
- 22:17SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 22:17SPEAKER_13: Umless you listen to a classic rock station or something like that.
- 22:21SPEAKER_12: Exactly.
- 22:22SPEAKER_12: Um he was saying that uh they asked they they asked him uh how Foreigner navigated the change in trends that came about with the punk and new wave years of the late 70s.
- 22:34SPEAKER_12: He said it was kind of fun to let it all hang out and get into that frame of mind and that frame of playing too.
- 22:38SPEAKER_12: I don't think we tried to be a punk band, but we reveled in that influence.
- 22:42SPEAKER_12: Uh there were some great songs out there, even though the genre was not considered to be up to the rest of rock and roll styles, even though it was very simplistic, I thought it had everything that good rock and roll songs contained, which is true.
- 22:53SPEAKER_12: Rebellion is what rock and roll was all about.
- 22:55SPEAKER_13: Yeah, it was like the guy that discovered the Ramones.
- 22:58SPEAKER_13: Right.
- 22:58SPEAKER_13: He was like, he heard them at CBGB's.
- 23:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 23:01SPEAKER_13: And he was like, This is this is like Beach Boys, you know, the same idea.
- 23:06SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 23:07SPEAKER_13: I mean, not not beach boys, but I mean it was that idea, just simple songs, catchy, catchy, you know, catchy melodies, bam.
- 23:15SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 23:15SPEAKER_12: Yep.
- 23:16SPEAKER_12: Throw in a little rebellion in there.
- 23:17SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 23:18SPEAKER_12: You know, and and just angst or whatever.
- 23:20SPEAKER_12: I mean, I don't know if I don't know if Beach Boys and Rebellion go together, but no, but I mean th that's the thing, is they they took the the pop sensibilities of the Beach Boys and and threw in some angst, and you've got punk.
- 23:33SPEAKER_12: Yeah, basically.
- 23:34SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 23:35SPEAKER_12: Uh speaking of the Beach Boys, did you see Mike Love?
- 23:37SPEAKER_12: Yeah, you show me the it was sad.
- 23:40SPEAKER_12: Mike Love is having some some health issues.
- 23:42SPEAKER_12: Of course, he's the only original member left.
- 23:43SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 23:44SPEAKER_12: And um actually Al Jardine is I believe still in the band.
- 23:48SPEAKER_12: Is Al Jardine still in the band?
- 23:50SPEAKER_12: Because he he released a statement that said he thinks that the Beach Boys will go on even after Mike Love is out.
- 23:57SPEAKER_12: Out of the band, you know, after after Mike Love leaves the band.
- 24:00SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 24:00SPEAKER_13: But I mean He didn't look good, man.
- 24:03SPEAKER_12: No, he didn't.
- 24:04SPEAKER_13: I mean he he was just in that sh I mean he's literally sitting in a chair, not moving, and they just stuck a mic in his face.
- 24:11SPEAKER_12: Have you ever seen have you ever seen Don't even something fell over there.
- 24:15SPEAKER_12: It must be a mouse.
- 24:16SPEAKER_12: Have you ever seen um ghost um uh like a video of Frankie Valley?
- 24:24SPEAKER_12: Oh yeah.
- 24:25SPEAKER_12: Frankie Valley in the four seasons that you know he's lip syncing.
- 24:28SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 24:29SPEAKER_13: Yeah, we watched one.
- 24:30SPEAKER_12: Yeah, and he's it was really obvious.
- 24:32SPEAKER_12: It's all he's almost like catatonic.
- 24:34SPEAKER_12: I mean, he's just kind of like a robot.
- 24:37SPEAKER_12: You know, and and they're sending him out there because he makes money still.
- 24:40SPEAKER_12: Yeah, you know, and it's sad.
- 24:42SPEAKER_12: It is pretty sad.
- 24:43SPEAKER_13: It's it's just pathetic.
- 24:44SPEAKER_12: It is pretty sad.
- 24:46SPEAKER_12: Um all right.
- 24:47SPEAKER_12: So that's all I have in rock news.
- 24:49SPEAKER_12: I don't even have any um new music to listen to, I don't think.
- 24:53SPEAKER_12: Um yeah, I don't remember.
- 24:55SPEAKER_12: I haven't heard anything.
- 24:56SPEAKER_12: I didn't see anything on the yeah, I didn't see anything.
- 24:59SPEAKER_12: Uh I do have this headline though.
- 25:01SPEAKER_12: Fifteen childhood myths we accepted as absolute fact, and some we probably still believe.
- 25:08SPEAKER_12: I thought that was an interesting headline.
- 25:09SPEAKER_12: That is, yeah.
- 25:10SPEAKER_12: And and I like it.
- 25:11SPEAKER_12: I wanted to dive into it.
- 25:12SPEAKER_12: Some of them I've I've never heard of.
- 25:14SPEAKER_12: Okay.
- 25:15SPEAKER_12: Um have you ever heard of this?
- 25:18SPEAKER_12: Oh, Mikey dying from pop rocks?
- 25:19SPEAKER_12: No, no, no.
- 25:20SPEAKER_12: Well, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 25:22SPEAKER_12: Mixing pop rocks and soda will make you an exp make you explode, and that's what killed Mikey.
- 25:27SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 25:28SPEAKER_12: Um that is.
- 25:29SPEAKER_12: Hey Mikey.
- 25:30SPEAKER_02: Hey Mikey, he likes it.
- 25:33SPEAKER_12: Um kids have no kids today have no idea what a grip this had on an entire generation.
- 25:38SPEAKER_12: A pack of pop rock sitting anywhere near a can of soda was enough to make someone yell, careful!
- 25:42SPEAKER_13: Oh yeah.
- 25:43SPEAKER_12: Um, this is all this is all on Ultimate Classic Rock, by the way.
- 25:46SPEAKER_13: There's actually uh an episode of the You remember the show The Goldbergs?
- 25:50SPEAKER_13: Oh yeah.
- 25:51SPEAKER_13: There's an episode where the girl or the the kid is like gonna mix it, and the grandfather comes out and slaps like the pop rocks out of his hand.
- 26:00SPEAKER_14: He's like, that's how Monkey died.
- 26:02SPEAKER_13: And then the and his sister comes in and tries and does the same thing.
- 26:05SPEAKER_13: He takes the stone and slaps it out of her hand and splashes all over.
- 26:09SPEAKER_14: He's like, What are you doing to me?
- 26:12SPEAKER_12: So everyone knew Mikey from the Life Serial Commercials had died this way.
- 26:16SPEAKER_12: He didn't.
- 26:17SPEAKER_12: John Gilchrist grew up perfectly fine and went into media sales.
- 26:20SPEAKER_12: Okay, that's good to know.
- 26:22SPEAKER_12: The rumor got so bad that General Foods wrote letters to tens of thousands of school principals to insist its candy was safe.
- 26:30SPEAKER_12: Some brave kids tried it anyway and just got a bad case of the burps.
- 26:34SPEAKER_12: So, anyway.
- 26:35SPEAKER_12: I I I don't I don't remember doing it.
- 26:38SPEAKER_13: I probably did at some point, yeah, but I don't remember doing it.
- 26:41SPEAKER_12: Uh the static on TV was actually outer space.
- 26:45SPEAKER_12: I'd never believed that.
- 26:47SPEAKER_13: Nah, I just thought I just thought it was annoying.
- 26:49SPEAKER_12: Uh after the national anthem played and the station signed off for the night.
- 26:52SPEAKER_12: There's one thing right there.
- 26:54SPEAKER_12: Yeah, no, but that doesn't do that anymore.
- 26:55SPEAKER_12: No, no.
- 26:56SPEAKER_12: Or after you plug unplugged the Atari, all that was left was a screen full of hissing, crackling snow, as the grown-ups called it.
- 27:03SPEAKER_12: But we knew what it really was.
- 27:05SPEAKER_12: Outer space.
- 27:06SPEAKER_13: Well, that's what the in poltergeist, isn't that what the spirits came through?
- 27:10SPEAKER_12: Yeah, it says uh poltergeist came along, Carol Ann started talking to the TV people, and suddenly it wasn't a good thing.
- 27:14SPEAKER_12: Yeah, she was like You're like, What that was creepy though.
- 27:20SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 27:20SPEAKER_12: That was you know, when I think of scary movies, that was one of the scary movies.
- 27:24SPEAKER_12: Poltergeist was creepy, man.
- 27:25SPEAKER_12: It was creepy.
- 27:25SPEAKER_12: It was creepy.
- 27:26SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 27:27SPEAKER_13: Along with The Exorcist, and you know.
- 27:29SPEAKER_12: Yeah, I can't watch The Exorcist.
- 27:35SPEAKER_13: Chunk, chunk, chunk.
- 27:37SPEAKER_12: I was taking a drink, you're supposed to keep talking.
- 27:39SPEAKER_13: I don't have anything to talk about.
- 27:40SPEAKER_13: Well, you won't be talking.
- 27:42SPEAKER_13: Hey, you know, the Exorcist is based on a real story, right?
- 27:46SPEAKER_13: I did.
- 27:47SPEAKER_13: It wasn't a guy, it was a gr it was it wasn't a girl, it was a guy.
- 27:51SPEAKER_13: Yeah, I knew that.
- 27:53SPEAKER_13: Okay.
- 27:54unknown: Okay.
- 27:55SPEAKER_12: Story over.
- 27:56SPEAKER_12: Step on a crack, break your mother's back.
- 27:58SPEAKER_12: Yeah, I never believed that.
- 28:00SPEAKER_12: If nothing else has proved how much we loved our moms, we went to absurd lengths to protect them, taking lunging, Olympic long jump strides down the sidewalk, hopping sideways, and walking on tiptoe.
- 28:11SPEAKER_13: Well, when you grow up on a dirt road, you don't have to really worry about it.
- 28:14SPEAKER_12: So just saying.
- 28:16SPEAKER_12: Playing records backwards revealed satanic messages.
- 28:20SPEAKER_13: Yeah, no.
- 28:21SPEAKER_13: Nah, I mean, it w there were things you were like, Well, what did I just say?
- 28:25SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 28:26SPEAKER_13: You know, but no.
- 28:27SPEAKER_12: Uh open the old turn to summon up the courage and use your finger to spin stairway to heaven backward because everyone knew there were secret satanic messages hiding in that track.
- 28:35SPEAKER_12: There was even a name for it, back masking.
- 28:38SPEAKER_13: Oh, yeah, that's right.
- 28:38SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 28:39SPEAKER_13: Yeah, I forgot about that.
- 28:39SPEAKER_12: Uh it seemed like every adult was warning kids about it, even televangelists.
- 28:43SPEAKER_12: So much like the Ouija so much like the Ouija board, it became a Saturday night in the basement dare.
- 28:49SPEAKER_12: Um I there was I there's a fan I have a famous story about playing a record backwards.
- 28:55SPEAKER_12: I I told you this.
- 28:56SPEAKER_12: Um I was working at a country station, and George Jones is uh actually probably arguably the greatest country song ever.
- 29:06SPEAKER_12: Uh He Stopped Loving Her Today.
- 29:08SPEAKER_12: Great song.
- 29:09SPEAKER_12: Um it starts out with just, and I think I've told this story before, haven't I?
- 29:13SPEAKER_13: I you've told me before, but yeah, I don't think we've ever talked about it on the show.
- 29:17SPEAKER_12: Um and I have a record player here too, I just haven't got it working yet.
- 29:21SPEAKER_12: I should uh one of these days I'm gonna try it.
- 29:23SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 29:24SPEAKER_12: Um You used to have to cue up the record, and so you'd play a play a little bit of the record and then you'd you'd spin it backwards to uh to to get it to start where it needed to start.
- 29:34SPEAKER_12: And George Jones' song He Stopped Loving Her Today starts with He said I'll Love You Till I Die.
- 29:44SPEAKER_12: So that's what I would play.
- 29:46SPEAKER_12: That's how it started.
- 29:46SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 29:47SPEAKER_12: I would I would play that much and then I would bring it backwards and cue it up.
- 29:53SPEAKER_12: And when you do that, when you play that just that beginning of that song backwards, it says Yeah.
- 30:03SPEAKER_12: I don't think they meant to do that.
- 30:05SPEAKER_12: I think it's just the way the words felt.
- 30:07SPEAKER_13: Just just happy accents.
- 30:08SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 30:08SPEAKER_12: So there's there's no purposeful satanic messages in these records.
- 30:13SPEAKER_12: No, they they because they said that about the Beatles and of course.
- 30:16SPEAKER_12: If you play it backwards, it might sound like something.
- 30:19SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 30:19SPEAKER_12: But they didn't do it on purpose.
- 30:21SPEAKER_12: Exactly.
- 30:22SPEAKER_12: I mean, I don't think they were that clever, right?
- 30:24SPEAKER_12: Do you remember this kid on the Brady Bunch?
- 30:26SPEAKER_12: Cousin Oliver.
- 30:27SPEAKER_12: Cousin Oliver.
- 30:27SPEAKER_12: Yep.
- 30:28SPEAKER_12: Uh the rumor was that cousin Oliver from the Birdie Bunch was 100% John Denver's kid.
- 30:33SPEAKER_13: I never heard that.
- 30:34SPEAKER_12: I never heard that either.
- 30:35SPEAKER_13: I just remember nobody liking cousin Oliver.
- 30:38SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 30:38SPEAKER_13: That's all I remember.
- 30:40SPEAKER_12: Uh uh, he wasn't, of course, John Denver's kid, uh, but we didn't have any any way to check that.
- 30:45SPEAKER_12: Yeah, there was no Google back then.
- 30:46SPEAKER_12: There was no Google back then.
- 30:48SPEAKER_12: Um let's see.
- 30:49SPEAKER_12: Holding your breath when you pass a cemetery.
- 30:51SPEAKER_12: Did you I never did that?
- 30:54SPEAKER_12: Yeah, we did.
- 30:54SPEAKER_12: I I never heard no.
- 30:56SPEAKER_12: Well, my my cousin Becky made us do it.
- 30:58SPEAKER_12: Uh did she ever tell you why?
- 31:00SPEAKER_12: Nope.
- 31:00SPEAKER_12: Yeah, nobody ever explained why uh this was done.
- 31:03SPEAKER_12: We just assumed a spirit could sneak into your body through your mouth if you weren't careful.
- 31:07SPEAKER_12: Uh it was an endurance test, and the bigger the cemetery, the more purple your face got.
- 31:11SPEAKER_13: Yeah, like that that one coming into Prescott.
- 31:13SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 31:15SPEAKER_12: Yeah, see, I yeah, I don't I've never heard that one.
- 31:18SPEAKER_12: Uh KISS stood for Knights in Satan's Service.
- 31:22SPEAKER_13: I heard you know, kids in Satan's service.
- 31:24SPEAKER_13: I've heard uh what else was what I heard?
- 31:26SPEAKER_12: Yeah, see, I've heard that.
- 31:27SPEAKER_12: I've heard Knights in Satan's service.
- 31:29SPEAKER_12: I've heard kids.
- 31:30SPEAKER_12: Do you know what it stands for?
- 31:31SPEAKER_13: Isn't it um I can't remember now?
- 31:36SPEAKER_12: It was it's it's Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley's uh motto for songwriting.
- 31:40SPEAKER_12: Keep it simple, stupid.
- 31:41SPEAKER_12: Keep it simple, stupid.
- 31:42SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 31:43SPEAKER_12: Really?
- 31:43SPEAKER_12: I mean that's that's where they got the name, KISS.
- 31:46SPEAKER_12: It's like, keep it simple, stupid.
- 31:47SPEAKER_12: And they've done it.
- 31:48SPEAKER_12: Yeah, and they have.
- 31:49SPEAKER_12: And they made a career out of it.
- 31:50SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 31:51SPEAKER_12: Yeah, so yeah, no, that's there's nothing to that Knights and Satan service thing.
- 31:55SPEAKER_13: Wasp Wasp was another one.
- 31:57SPEAKER_13: Right.
- 31:57SPEAKER_13: We are Satan's people.
- 31:58SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 31:59SPEAKER_13: What does that stand for?
- 32:00SPEAKER_13: I think I think it's just white Anglo Saxon Protestant theory.
- 32:05SPEAKER_09: That's what it's that your theory?
- 32:08SPEAKER_13: No, that's what people say.
- 32:10SPEAKER_13: White Anglo-Saxon Protestant.
- 32:12SPEAKER_13: Yeah, it's it's supposed to be a a you know, a dig at, you know, like rich white people.
- 32:16SPEAKER_13: Oh.
- 32:16SPEAKER_13: Oh, you're wasps.
- 32:17SPEAKER_13: White Anglo Saxon Protestant.
- 32:20SPEAKER_12: Well, isn't there a uh in uh was it World War?
- 32:23SPEAKER_12: Well it's like it's like dink.
- 32:25SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 32:25SPEAKER_12: Double income, no kids.
- 32:26SPEAKER_12: Right, right.
- 32:27SPEAKER_12: It's okay, the same same way.
- 32:29SPEAKER_12: What is what is uh wasn't there a uh weren't uh women during like World War I or World War II?
- 32:37SPEAKER_12: Wasn't that they called wasps or waves.
- 32:41SPEAKER_12: No, I'm not thinking of waves.
- 32:42SPEAKER_12: I think it was wasps.
- 32:44SPEAKER_13: Well, I think they were different I think I think like uh women armed.
- 32:49SPEAKER_13: Is it wasps?
- 32:51SPEAKER_12: No.
- 32:51SPEAKER_12: Wasps orp something else.
- 32:54SPEAKER_12: Yeah, I think we're not gonna go there.
- 32:56SPEAKER_12: Uh wasps, uh World War what's was it World War II?
- 32:59SPEAKER_12: World War II World War II.
- 33:02SPEAKER_13: I think they were called WAVES.
- 33:03SPEAKER_13: Or it depended on the services.
- 33:04SPEAKER_13: Oh no, it is WASP.
- 33:05SPEAKER_13: Okay.
- 33:06SPEAKER_12: The Women Air Force Service Pilots.
- 33:08SPEAKER_13: Oh, okay.
- 33:09SPEAKER_12: Civilian female aviators who flew military aircraft for the U.S.
- 33:12SPEAKER_12: Army Air Forces during World War II to free up male pilots for combat overseas.
- 33:18SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 33:19SPEAKER_12: Is it is it a cheap trick song, I think.
- 33:23SPEAKER_12: Uh Surrender.
- 33:24SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 33:24SPEAKER_12: Right?
- 33:25SPEAKER_12: There's a lyric in there about it.
- 33:26SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 33:27SPEAKER_13: Surrender Cheap Trick Lyrics.
- 33:31SPEAKER_13: It's like in the first or second verse.
- 33:32SPEAKER_12: I think so.
- 33:33SPEAKER_12: Um let's see.
- 33:40SPEAKER_12: Oh no, they they they had they said wax.
- 33:43SPEAKER_12: Before we married mommy, served in the wax in the Philippines.
- 33:45SPEAKER_12: Oh yeah.
- 33:46SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 33:46SPEAKER_12: Now I'd heard the wax recruited.
- 33:48SPEAKER_13: I think it was Women Air Corps or Army Corps.
- 33:50SPEAKER_13: Uh Women Army Corps.
- 33:51SPEAKER_12: Women Army Corps, I think.
- 33:53SPEAKER_12: Okay.
- 33:53SPEAKER_12: But yeah, I knew Wasp was something to do with uh service in the military.
- 33:59SPEAKER_12: Um lifting your feet over railroad tracks.
- 34:02SPEAKER_12: I have no idea.
- 34:02SPEAKER_12: I've never heard that.
- 34:03SPEAKER_12: Never heard of that one.
- 34:04SPEAKER_12: The second the car hit the tracks, every foot in the backseat went up.
- 34:07SPEAKER_12: What happened if you didn't?
- 34:08SPEAKER_12: Nobody knew.
- 34:09SPEAKER_12: Car crash, train falling out of the sky, no birthday presents, didn't matter.
- 34:12SPEAKER_12: You did it.
- 34:13SPEAKER_12: I'd never die.
- 34:14SPEAKER_13: I never did it.
- 34:14SPEAKER_13: I don't even remember.
- 34:16SPEAKER_13: I don't think anybody I know ever did that.
- 34:18SPEAKER_12: Uh we are uh on the on the border of Halloween right now.
- 34:21SPEAKER_12: We are we're in the middle of Octo October.
- 34:24SPEAKER_12: Hap apples had razor blades in them.
- 34:25SPEAKER_12: Oh yeah.
- 34:26SPEAKER_12: On Halloween.
- 34:27SPEAKER_12: Yep.
- 34:27SPEAKER_12: Uh this is another one that never really leaves you.
- 34:29SPEAKER_12: If your own kid comes home with an apple in their trick-or-treat bag, it goes straight into the trash because your childhood taught you there's a razor blade in there.
- 34:36SPEAKER_12: Back then, some local hospitals even offered to x-ray your candy.
- 34:40SPEAKER_12: Yep.
- 34:40SPEAKER_12: The truth, most reported cases turned out to be hoaxes.
- 34:43SPEAKER_12: There was also a playground theory that candy companies started the whole rumor to get people to stop handing out apples.
- 34:49SPEAKER_12: That's possibly the best movie idea ever.
- 34:50SPEAKER_12: So if a Hollywood exec is reading this, make it happen.
- 34:53SPEAKER_13: There we go.
- 34:54SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 34:54SPEAKER_12: Done.
- 34:55SPEAKER_12: Uh you must shake hands when crossing a state line.
- 34:58SPEAKER_12: I never heard of that.
- 34:59SPEAKER_12: I've never heard of that either.
- 35:01SPEAKER_12: Uh the moment the welcome to sign went by, official business began.
- 35:04SPEAKER_12: Everyone in the car shook hands with everyone else.
- 35:06SPEAKER_12: Front seat, back street, back seat, your little brother in the boy back.
- 35:09SPEAKER_12: Was it a treaty?
- 35:10SPEAKER_12: A customs requirement?
- 35:11SPEAKER_12: Nobody asked.
- 35:12SPEAKER_12: Simply had to happen.
- 35:13SPEAKER_12: It still does.
- 35:14SPEAKER_13: No, the only car game we ever played was uh uh the headlight one.
- 35:21SPEAKER_12: If you Oh, oh, um Padiddle.
- 35:23SPEAKER_12: Padiddle.
- 35:24SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 35:25SPEAKER_13: Because it didn't matter in the car where you were, I had to hit Bob.
- 35:29SPEAKER_13: I had to punch Bob.
- 35:31SPEAKER_13: Even if I was if I was driving and Bob was in the backseat, I was turning around and hitting Bob.
- 35:36SPEAKER_13: So there's actually rules to that game.
- 35:39SPEAKER_12: Really?
- 35:40SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 35:40SPEAKER_12: Do you know what they are?
- 35:42SPEAKER_13: Uh well there's one there it's like strip tease.
- 35:45SPEAKER_13: It's like every time you see a if you call pedidl, you're one of the if you don't call pedidal first, you have to take off an article.
- 35:51SPEAKER_12: That's if a car has one headlight.
- 35:52SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 35:53SPEAKER_12: Is that right?
- 35:53SPEAKER_13: You have to call pedidal.
- 35:54SPEAKER_13: And if nobody else, if you're the only one that does it or sees it, everybody else has to take off an item clothing so you drive around until really?
- 36:01SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 36:02SPEAKER_12: Next road trip with my wife.
- 36:04SPEAKER_13: There you go.
- 36:05SPEAKER_13: Just O'Brien and Doug after dark.
- 36:10SPEAKER_12: We should get cousin Larry.
- 36:11SPEAKER_13: We're gonna cousin Larry to make some We're playing sexy pedidle.
- 36:17SPEAKER_12: Sorry, Blanchard children.
- 36:20SPEAKER_12: Um say bloody Mary three times in the mirror and she'll appear.
- 36:24SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 36:25SPEAKER_12: I do remember hearing that.
- 36:26SPEAKER_13: Yeah, I heard that.
- 36:27SPEAKER_12: Yeah, it's just kind of dumb.
- 36:29SPEAKER_12: But um let's see, what's the other one here?
- 36:32SPEAKER_12: All things with faces have feelings.
- 36:35SPEAKER_12: I don't believe that.
- 36:36SPEAKER_12: I don't believe that.
- 36:36SPEAKER_12: Well, I mean, if it had a face, I mean Hitler had a face, so was that theory.
- 36:41SPEAKER_12: Teddy Bear, Cabbage Patch Kid, or even the dog's chew toy, it had feelings.
- 36:44SPEAKER_12: That meant nobody could be left face down, upside down, or alone.
- 36:48SPEAKER_12: Before leaving the room, you'd arrange everyone comfortably side by side so no one got lonely.
- 36:52SPEAKER_12: Toy Story didn't invent this.
- 36:53SPEAKER_12: It just confirmed what we already knew.
- 36:55SPEAKER_12: Yeah, I've I've never heard that one.
- 36:57SPEAKER_12: I never heard of that one.
- 36:58SPEAKER_12: Pull the covers to your chin, and vampires can't bite you.
- 37:03SPEAKER_12: I I never heard that one either.
- 37:04SPEAKER_13: No, that's a new one.
- 37:06SPEAKER_12: Uh let's see.
- 37:07SPEAKER_12: Crossing your eyes or making funny faces will stick that way.
- 37:10SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 37:10SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 37:11SPEAKER_12: I have heard that one.
- 37:12SPEAKER_12: Yes.
- 37:12SPEAKER_12: Doesn't work.
- 37:13SPEAKER_12: Doesn't work.
- 37:14SPEAKER_12: It's not true.
- 37:14SPEAKER_12: This is the last one.
- 37:16SPEAKER_12: Hold a buttercup under your chin to see if you like butter.
- 37:19SPEAKER_13: Yeah, it's supposed to if your like chin turned yellow.
- 37:22SPEAKER_12: Yes.
- 37:23SPEAKER_13: You that you turn butter, but it always does it because it just rubs off yellow.
- 37:27SPEAKER_13: Right.
- 37:28SPEAKER_13: So I mean, that's dumb.
- 37:30SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 37:30SPEAKER_13: Um but you believe it as a kid.
- 37:32SPEAKER_13: You're like, oh look, I like butter.
- 37:34SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 37:34SPEAKER_13: And what what does it matter if they like butter?
- 37:36SPEAKER_13: It doesn't.
- 37:37SPEAKER_13: Everybody likes butter.
- 37:38SPEAKER_09: Everybody likes butter.
- 37:39SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 37:40SPEAKER_09: Anyway.
- 37:41SPEAKER_13: I have never met a single solitary human being that's like, nah, I don't like butter.
- 37:44SPEAKER_13: I don't like butter.
- 37:45SPEAKER_13: I'd be like, what are you?
- 37:46SPEAKER_13: Some kind of commie?
- 37:48SPEAKER_13: What the heck?
- 37:49SPEAKER_12: You don't like butter.
- 37:52SPEAKER_12: Uh all right, that's that.
- 37:53SPEAKER_12: Uh what do we do now?
- 37:56SPEAKER_12: Uh hypotheticals.
- 37:57SPEAKER_12: Is that what we do now?
- 37:58SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 37:58SPEAKER_12: Okay, let's do that.
- 37:59SPEAKER_13: Let's go in alphabetic order.
- 38:01SPEAKER_13: We'll do hypotheticals, then mixtape, and then O'Brien and Doug after Doug.
- 38:09SPEAKER_13: Are we is that the name of this episode?
- 38:11SPEAKER_13: O'Brien and Doug after Doug.
- 38:13SPEAKER_13: Yes, it is.
- 38:14SPEAKER_13: Isn't that right, Mr.
- 38:15SPEAKER_13: Fergus?
- 38:17SPEAKER_12: He's sleeping.
- 38:18SPEAKER_12: Shh.
- 38:19SPEAKER_12: Alright.
- 38:19SPEAKER_12: So it's your turn to answer this one.
- 38:21unknown: Right?
- 38:21SPEAKER_12: Correct?
- 38:22SPEAKER_12: Yes.
- 38:22SPEAKER_12: Okay.
- 38:23SPEAKER_12: Because you did the Underground House yes.
- 38:25SPEAKER_12: Underground house.
- 38:26SPEAKER_12: Alright, this one is body versus mind.
- 38:30SPEAKER_13: Ooh.
- 38:31SPEAKER_13: This is definitely O'Brien and Doug after Jackson.
- 38:35SPEAKER_12: Uh.
- 38:38SPEAKER_12: Alright.
- 38:39SPEAKER_12: You are given a choice between two rewards.
- 38:43SPEAKER_12: The first reward is to be twice as intelligent as you are right now.
- 38:48SPEAKER_12: You'll be able to read twice as fast and remember twice as much.
- 38:53SPEAKER_12: The size of your vocabulary will double, and you'll be able to solve intellectual problems with twice your current aptitude.
- 39:02SPEAKER_12: The second reward is that you will never again feel sick, even when you are.
- 39:08SPEAKER_12: And you can always be whatever weight you want, regardless of what you eat or how little you exercise.
- 39:16SPEAKER_12: You can simply imagine the body you would like to have, and that is the weight you will magically become.
- 39:23SPEAKER_12: Which reward do you choose?
- 39:27SPEAKER_13: So I can either be super smart or super.
- 39:30SPEAKER_12: Well, super twice as smart as you are.
- 39:32SPEAKER_13: Okay.
- 39:32SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 39:35SPEAKER_12: Uh I'm going with the body one.
- 39:38SPEAKER_12: I would too.
- 39:39SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 39:39SPEAKER_12: Because you're pretty smart.
- 39:41SPEAKER_13: I'm I'm kind of smart.
- 39:42SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 39:43SPEAKER_13: But I mean, it's not really gonna get me anywhere at this point.
- 39:47SPEAKER_09: Right?
- 39:47SPEAKER_13: I'm I'm already over the hill.
- 39:49SPEAKER_13: I'm I'm on the downward slide towards death.
- 39:51SPEAKER_13: You know what I mean?
- 39:53SPEAKER_13: So I'm gonna get that body and just enjoy it.
- 39:57SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 39:58SPEAKER_12: I would agree.
- 39:59SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 39:59SPEAKER_12: I would, you know, if you can you can imagine what body you want and not have to exercise.
- 40:04SPEAKER_12: You can eat whatever you want.
- 40:05SPEAKER_12: I want to be Jean-Claude Van Damme in Bloodsport.
- 40:08SPEAKER_12: Oh, that was a good movie.
- 40:09SPEAKER_12: Well, it wasn't a good movie.
- 40:10SPEAKER_12: It was looking back, it was a horrible movie.
- 40:12SPEAKER_12: But at the time.
- 40:13SPEAKER_13: Oh, it's a it's it's a well, I mean, the action scenes were good.
- 40:15SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 40:16SPEAKER_13: But the acting was horrible.
- 40:17SPEAKER_13: Yeah, yeah.
- 40:18SPEAKER_13: But at the time it was great.
- 40:19SPEAKER_13: Yeah, I still watched it.
- 40:22SPEAKER_09: When I was a kid, I thought it was awesome.
- 40:23SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 40:24SPEAKER_13: Well, I just I just like the the martial arts.
- 40:26SPEAKER_13: Yeah, that's really good.
- 40:27SPEAKER_13: For sure.
- 40:27SPEAKER_12: But the acting and I saw a uh um you know how how they have these AI things where they put people from these different movies together.

- 41:46SPEAKER_13: I mean, they didn't get I mean, when they did the surgery, according to this guy, whoever made this AI thing, no painkillers, nothing.
- 41:55SPEAKER_13: Just cut him open and fixed him and put him in that suit, and he and the suit doesn't do anything to pain control or anything.
- 42:03SPEAKER_13: He's just like miserable all the time.
- 42:04SPEAKER_13: No wonder he's freaking pissed off.
- 42:06SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 42:06SPEAKER_13: I would be too, man.

- 44:20SPEAKER_13: That's awesome.
- 44:20SPEAKER_13: I love that song, Afraca.
- 44:24SPEAKER_12: In case you don't know, it's Africa by Toto.
- 44:26SPEAKER_13: Tutu?
- 44:28SPEAKER_12: I'm going to do Afraca by Toto by Tutu?
- 44:31SPEAKER_13: Now, do you think he did that on purpose?

- 44:48SPEAKER_13: That was I love it.
- 44:50SPEAKER_12: And again, I don't know if she sent it to me because of that.
- 44:52SPEAKER_12: I bet it was.
- 44:53SPEAKER_12: Or she just wanted to share it.
- 44:54SPEAKER_13: Because that's hilarious.
- 44:56SPEAKER_13: That is freaking hilarious.
- 44:58SPEAKER_13: Alright.
- 44:58SPEAKER_13: Are we ready to do this?
- 44:59SPEAKER_13: Uh hold on.
- 45:01SPEAKER_13: I hadn't heard from the judge.
- 45:02SPEAKER_13: Oh.
- 45:05SPEAKER_13: We may have to do this with a wait.
- 45:08SPEAKER_13: Oh, never mind.
- 45:09SPEAKER_10: You got it?
- 45:09SPEAKER_12: She's here.
- 45:10SPEAKER_12: Audio?
- 45:15SPEAKER_12: Alright, well, that's for you.
- 45:17SPEAKER_12: That's for you.
- 45:18SPEAKER_12: I'm gonna do that, and we're gonna just kick this off right now.
- 45:21SPEAKER_00: It's time for everyone's favorite part of the show.
- 45:25SPEAKER_00: With everyone's favorites, O'Brien, Doug, Cousin Larry, and yours truly, Miss Judgeness.
- 45:31SPEAKER_12: Mrs.
- 45:32SPEAKER_00: Mrs.
- 45:33SPEAKER_14: It's Mrs.
- 45:33SPEAKER_14: Judgeness.
- 45:36SPEAKER_12: Alright.
- 45:38SPEAKER_10: Uh let's see.
- 45:39SPEAKER_13: Hold on.
- 45:39SPEAKER_13: It's Mrs.
- 45:40SPEAKER_13: Judginess.
- 45:42SPEAKER_10: Hold on.
- 45:42SPEAKER_10: Did you do the did you leave it there?
- 45:45SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 45:45SPEAKER_12: The other question?
- 45:46SPEAKER_12: Should be all right.
- 45:47SPEAKER_12: So here's a question from last week.
- 45:49SPEAKER_12: Run into a burning building to rescue a puppy, baby, and a rare oil painting that the art world thought was long lost.
- 45:56SPEAKER_12: Yeah, this is the puppy monkey.
- 45:57SPEAKER_12: Puppy monkey baby.
- 45:58SPEAKER_12: I'm curious as to what her reaction is.
- 46:00SPEAKER_13: This is gonna be awesome.
- 46:03SPEAKER_13: Okay, you ready?
- 46:04SPEAKER_13: Yep.
- 46:05SPEAKER_13: Okay.
- 46:06SPEAKER_00: Hey guys, mixtape was really fun this week.
- 46:09SPEAKER_00: Uh O'Brien definitely took a left turn with the puppy monkey baby song.
- 46:14SPEAKER_00: Um the commercial alone creeped me out, so it's a little burning.
- 46:17SPEAKER_00: I can't pick that one.
- 46:19SPEAKER_00: That one was so weird.
- 46:20SPEAKER_00: Um that was a tough pick between Doug and Cousin Larry, though.
- 46:26SPEAKER_00: But I had to go with Pink Floyd from Cousin Larry, run like that one.
- 46:30SPEAKER_00: It was a good one.
- 46:30SPEAKER_00: That was a good one.
- 46:31SPEAKER_12: Yeah, no, I thought they were both good.
- 46:33SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 46:33SPEAKER_12: Yeah, I thought they were both good.
- 46:35SPEAKER_12: She creeped out.
- 46:36SPEAKER_12: Taking him taking his wig.
- 46:40SPEAKER_12: Sparkling Ice, lifesavers, wild cherry.
- 46:44SPEAKER_13: Proud sponsors of O'Brien the Doug After Dark.
- 46:50SPEAKER_12: After Dark.
- 46:51SPEAKER_12: After Dark.
- 46:52SPEAKER_12: Alright.
- 46:53SPEAKER_12: So uh we have to pick not pick, I'm sorry.
- 46:58SPEAKER_12: Well, yeah, pick songs.
- 46:59SPEAKER_12: Because uh the question this week is You enter a maximum security prison for the first time.
- 47:08SPEAKER_12: If you could pick one song that tells the other inmates not to even mess with you, what would it be?
- 47:16SPEAKER_12: Alright.
- 47:16SPEAKER_12: Alright.
- 47:17SPEAKER_12: So uh we have Cousin Larry?
- 47:19SPEAKER_12: Cousin Larry.
- 47:19SPEAKER_12: Wait, wait, wait, did Justin do that?
- 47:21SPEAKER_12: Justin did not get back.
- 47:22SPEAKER_12: Okay.
- 47:23SPEAKER_13: He's busy this time of year.
- 47:24SPEAKER_13: Okay.
- 47:35SPEAKER_13: Okay, mixtape.
- 47:36SPEAKER_13: First song that came to mind was George Thoroughgood's Bad to the Bone.
- 47:40SPEAKER_13: Tom Petty's I Won't Back Down certainly puts it clearly, and Metallica's Enter Sandman works for sure.
- 47:46SPEAKER_13: I'm not sure Baby Shark will work this time, O'Brien.
- 47:49SPEAKER_13: LOL.
- 47:51SPEAKER_13: But I am gonna go to ACDC's Hell's Bells.
- 47:54SPEAKER_13: I won't take no prisoners, won't spare no lives.
- 47:57SPEAKER_13: Sends a message.
- 47:58SPEAKER_13: Honorable mention to Black Sabbath's Iron Man.
- 48:02SPEAKER_12: Oh, Hell's Bells is a perfect choice.
- 48:04SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 48:04SPEAKER_12: Right?
- 48:04SPEAKER_13: He's just coming in with that that spell.
- 48:09SPEAKER_12: From hell?
- 48:10SPEAKER_13: Sure.
- 48:12SPEAKER_13: Well, it's the name of the songs, I assume so.
- 48:18SPEAKER_03: Heaven's Bell.
- 48:24SPEAKER_12: This this was this is a great pick.
- 48:26SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 48:27SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 48:27SPEAKER_12: I wish I thought of this one.
- 48:29SPEAKER_12: You know, ACDs.
- 48:30SPEAKER_12: Yeah, yeah.
- 48:30SPEAKER_12: I wish I thought of this one, actually.
- 48:45SPEAKER_12: But it picks up, you know.
- 48:47SPEAKER_13: Like, oh yeah.
- 49:18SPEAKER_09: What do you got?
- 49:21SPEAKER_09: What are you smiling about?
- 49:23SPEAKER_13: Cause go, cause it's I think it's funny.
- 49:26SPEAKER_13: Okay.
- 49:26SPEAKER_13: It's that but that bar I'm a Barbie girl and a Barbie world.
- 49:35SPEAKER_13: I can't remember who did it.
- 49:36SPEAKER_13: Aqua something?
- 49:37SPEAKER_13: Aqua.
- 49:38SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 49:38SPEAKER_13: Yeah, that yeah, that's the yeah, Barbara.
- 49:41SPEAKER_13: That's what you want to be playing.
- 49:41SPEAKER_12: Yeah, play when you're going to prison.
- 49:44SPEAKER_02: Cause I want to You wanna go for a ride?
- 49:50SPEAKER_02: I'm a Bobby girl.
- 49:52SPEAKER_02: I'm the bobby girl.
- 49:53SPEAKER_13: She's gonna walk in and be like, yeah.
- 49:56SPEAKER_13: Yeah, you heard it, Mofo.
- 50:07SPEAKER_12: Is this a potty or party?
- 50:09SPEAKER_12: Party.
- 50:11SPEAKER_12: Could be potty.
- 50:12SPEAKER_12: We don't know.
- 50:12SPEAKER_13: Come on, party.
- 50:13SPEAKER_13: Let's go poppy.
- 50:14SPEAKER_13: Poppy.
- 50:15SPEAKER_13: It's a frack-up.
- 50:21SPEAKER_13: Is this terrifying?
- 50:23SPEAKER_13: Yep.
- 50:24SPEAKER_13: What was it?
- 50:24SPEAKER_13: What's the reasoning behind it?
- 50:25SPEAKER_13: Because it's terrifying.
- 50:29SPEAKER_13: Because what sane person for going into prison would be blasting this song?
- 50:36SPEAKER_13: They would all be like, that dude's seriously unhinged.
- 50:41SPEAKER_13: Especially if I'm dancing.
- 50:42SPEAKER_13: If I'm walking in, I'm like, okay.
- 50:48SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 50:49SPEAKER_12: Alright.
- 50:50SPEAKER_12: That's um I'm that's an interesting choice.
- 50:52SPEAKER_12: That's what I'm going with.
- 50:54SPEAKER_12: Alright.
- 50:55SPEAKER_12: Um mine, um, when I read the the uh card or the prompt, if you will, the one that stuck out to me was um there's a there was a white snake album that came out in 78.
- 51:09SPEAKER_12: It's called Trouble.
- 51:10SPEAKER_12: It had a song on it that basically says uh Hold on.
- 51:46SPEAKER_12: Don't mess with me, I'm a stimmer.
- 52:01SPEAKER_12: And don't call your stalmate baby.
- 52:03SPEAKER_14: Baby, baby.
- 52:06SPEAKER_12: Alright, so that's mine.
- 52:07SPEAKER_12: White snake, don't mess with me.
- 52:09SPEAKER_12: Doug's just Barbie girl.
- 52:12SPEAKER_12: I can see the logic.
- 52:15SPEAKER_12: And ACDC's health belt.
- 52:17SPEAKER_12: I think we know it's gonna win.
- 52:18SPEAKER_12: Yeah, A G D C.
- 52:20SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 52:22SPEAKER_12: Exactly.
- 52:22SPEAKER_12: That's okay.
- 52:24SPEAKER_12: Um, this judge this uh might be an easy pick this week, but maybe you'll go with Barbie girl.
- 52:29SPEAKER_12: Never know.
- 52:30SPEAKER_13: Say how she's feeling.
- 52:31SPEAKER_13: Right.
- 52:33SPEAKER_13: If she's feeling whimsical, Barbie girl, Barbie girl.
- 52:36SPEAKER_09: All right.
- 52:37SPEAKER_09: Now we need to pick a uh a new prompt next week.
- 52:43SPEAKER_13: Let me get rid of okay, that's last week, so we'll put that there.
- 52:52SPEAKER_13: Okay, what do we got?
- 52:56SPEAKER_13: No, we've done that one.
- 52:57SPEAKER_13: Okay.
- 53:27SPEAKER_12: So is it time for a new a new game?
- 53:32SPEAKER_13: Okay, here's one here's one we've never done before.
- 53:33SPEAKER_13: Okay.
- 53:34SPEAKER_13: Okay.
- 53:36SPEAKER_13: You're off the coast of Australia, about to swim with a great white shark.
- 53:42SPEAKER_13: No cage.
- 53:43SPEAKER_13: What song gives you the courage to jump into the water?
- 53:48SPEAKER_12: With no cage.
- 53:50SPEAKER_13: No cage.
- 53:51SPEAKER_13: Just you and a shark.
- 53:53SPEAKER_13: Or a jack roll.
- 53:55SPEAKER_12: Okay.
- 54:03SPEAKER_12: Uh before we move on, I just I just uh I just read this piece from Classic Rock magazine.
- 54:09SPEAKER_12: I thought it was interesting.
- 54:11SPEAKER_12: Uh do you mind if we tackle it for a second?
- 54:13SPEAKER_12: Yeah, go for it.
- 54:14SPEAKER_12: Uh uh, in 2023, the readers of Total Guitar voted Queen's Brian May, the greatest rock guitarist of all time.
- 54:23SPEAKER_12: One year earlier, those same readers voted May's solo on Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody the greatest guitar solo of all time.
- 54:30SPEAKER_12: Naturally, May was honored by both accolades, but during an interview, uh, he actually nominated a different Queen's solo as his personal favorite.
- 54:38SPEAKER_12: His solo on the band's 1974 single, Killer Queen, from their classic Sheer Heart Attack.
- 54:44SPEAKER_12: Killer Queen is his favorite solo that he's done.
- 54:46SPEAKER_13: Okay.
- 54:47SPEAKER_12: Now, uh, unprompted in the same interview, he revealed to Byrd his f uh the who's the interviewer, his favorite guitar solo of all time.
- 54:55SPEAKER_12: And it's Eric Clapton, Key to Love, from John Mayle's Blues Breakers album.
- 55:02SPEAKER_13: Really?
- 55:02SPEAKER_12: He said it's the hottest, burning, high-passion piece I've ever heard in my life, still to this day.
- 55:08SPEAKER_12: I just love it.
- 55:09SPEAKER_12: It totally rips, and I'll never get over that.
- 55:11SPEAKER_12: That's one of my great inspirations.
- 55:14SPEAKER_12: I might have to listen to that.
- 55:16SPEAKER_12: This is the one uh well actually, before we before we listen to that, let's listen to uh the um guitar solo.
- 55:23SPEAKER_12: Let's remind ourselves of the guitar solo in Killer Queen.
- 55:26SPEAKER_12: Because Brian May says this guitar solo is his finest work.
- 55:31SPEAKER_12: So let's cue that up a little bit.
- 55:34SPEAKER_12: I think I know exactly what it is.
- 55:36SPEAKER_12: There it is, right there.
- 56:19SPEAKER_12: That was very orchestrated.
- 56:21SPEAKER_13: Oh, it was very creative.
- 56:22SPEAKER_13: Yeah, yeah.
- 56:23SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 56:23SPEAKER_12: I like it.
- 56:24SPEAKER_12: Uh, but his favorite guitar solo of all time is uh this one right here from from John Mail's Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton.
- 56:37SPEAKER_12: Let me see if let me see if I can get to the guitar solo itself.
- 57:13SPEAKER_02: Somewhere interesting.
- 57:15SPEAKER_12: Interesting.
- 57:16SPEAKER_12: I I think it's a nostalgia thing, probably.
- 57:18SPEAKER_12: Probably.
- 57:18SPEAKER_12: I mean, there was a fantastic guitar symbol, don't get me wrong, but I think that's one that's because it's uh Well, he probably got something out of it.
- 57:25SPEAKER_12: Sure, of course.
- 57:26SPEAKER_12: Yeah, yeah.
- 57:26SPEAKER_12: That's yeah, that's what I mean.
- 57:28SPEAKER_12: Uh all right, so we'll take a break and we'll come back and we'll do uh Smash or Trash.
- 57:34SPEAKER_12: Smash or Trash.
- 57:35SPEAKER_12: Am I right?
- 57:36SPEAKER_12: Making sure.

- 59:29SPEAKER_13: And then I'll be like, what is this?
- 59:31SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 59:32SPEAKER_13: So much better before.
- 59:35SPEAKER_12: So on the chopping block uh for the I totally forgot what it was.
- 59:39SPEAKER_12: Did you really?

- 59:41SPEAKER_12: Um right, right, right.
- 59:47SPEAKER_12: The um Blaze of Glory, songs written and performed by John Bon Jovi, inspired by the film Young Guns 2.
- 59:55SPEAKER_12: This, of course, was the biggest hit.
- 1:00:00SPEAKER_12: Speaking of guitar solos, the guitar solo of this song.
- 1:00:03SPEAKER_12: It's pretty great.
- 1:00:04SPEAKER_12: It's unbelievable.
- 1:00:05SPEAKER_12: It's Jeff Beck.
- 1:00:06SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 1:00:06SPEAKER_12: So it's unbelievable.
- 1:00:10SPEAKER_12: And I actually, even though I got sick of it, I love this song.
- 1:00:15SPEAKER_12: I think you said that last time too.
- 1:00:17SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 1:00:17SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 1:00:17SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:00:18SPEAKER_13: I mean, when you hear it, you're like, yeah.
- 1:00:21SPEAKER_12: And lyrically, it's great.
- 1:00:24SPEAKER_12: Anyway.
- 1:00:25SPEAKER_12: Um will be here.
- 1:00:27SPEAKER_12: Let me put a different one on here.
- 1:00:29SPEAKER_12: Justice in the barrel.
- 1:00:35SPEAKER_12: Anyway, so this was on the chopping block.
- 1:00:37SPEAKER_12: So let's see what people said.
- 1:00:41SPEAKER_12: Um, our contributors.
- 1:00:43SPEAKER_12: Our O'Brien and Dunk contributors.
- 1:00:45SPEAKER_13: Contributors.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_13: After dark.
- 1:00:51SPEAKER_10: Uh.
- 1:00:54SPEAKER_10: Where is it?
- 1:00:58SPEAKER_10: I know Jeff commented on it.
- 1:01:00SPEAKER_10: How long ago was that?
- 1:01:02SPEAKER_10: Oh, right there.
- 1:01:04SPEAKER_10: No, he didn't, he didn't.
- 1:01:09SPEAKER_12: No, he hasn't.
- 1:01:10SPEAKER_12: He did not contribute to this one.
- 1:01:12SPEAKER_12: Well.
- 1:01:13SPEAKER_12: Well.
- 1:01:14SPEAKER_12: Mr.
- 1:01:15SPEAKER_12: Jeffrey.
- 1:01:16SPEAKER_12: Unless I unless he said it somewhere else, but I don't think he did.
- 1:01:19SPEAKER_13: No, he always he always puts it in the thread, so.
- 1:01:22SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:01:23SPEAKER_13: And I don't remember seeing anything in the thread, so.
- 1:01:26SPEAKER_12: Yeah, I don't either.
- 1:01:28SPEAKER_12: Um, okay.
- 1:01:29SPEAKER_12: Well, I guess we're not gonna get Jeff's vote, but that's okay.
- 1:01:31SPEAKER_12: No vote for you! No vote for vote- No vote for you! So we'll go right to Bouncing Bob.
- 1:01:37SPEAKER_12: And Bouncing Bob.
- 1:01:40SPEAKER_12: I have to make sure we get the uh sound effects in there because that's his favorite part.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_12: So let me stop this just for a second.
- 1:01:49SPEAKER_12: Bouncing Bob says uh Smash, huh?
- 1:01:58SPEAKER_12: Smash.
- 1:01:58SPEAKER_12: Interesting.
- 1:01:59SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 1:02:01SPEAKER_12: So he says, Bon Jovi and Alan Silvestri, who's the composer of the score, I think, hit a home run with this album.
- 1:02:09SPEAKER_12: John Bon Jovi showed he was a trailblazer in tackling this project.
- 1:02:12SPEAKER_12: Bon Jovi put fear into the minds of all hard rocking groups in the eighties, and with this album he spread his influence into the nineties.
- 1:02:20SPEAKER_12: Never heard this album before, but I found this to be a great album.
- 1:02:23SPEAKER_12: Finding gems like this is a great pleasure for me.
- 1:02:26SPEAKER_12: Keep up the great work.
- 1:02:28SPEAKER_12: So that is one vote for Smash from Bouncin' Bob.
- 1:02:33SPEAKER_12: And do we have anybody else voting?
- 1:02:35SPEAKER_12: Is uh Miss Judges?
- 1:02:37SPEAKER_12: Mrs.
- 1:02:37SPEAKER_12: Judges.
- 1:02:38SPEAKER_13: As for Smash and Trash, my old soul heart has a soft spot for old school 90s movies and songs.
- 1:02:44SPEAKER_13: I'd say smash this week.
- 1:02:46SPEAKER_12: Smash this week.
- 1:02:48SPEAKER_12: Smash.
- 1:02:50SPEAKER_12: That is two votes for Smash.
- 1:02:53SPEAKER_12: Is it just you and uh you and I left?
- 1:02:55SPEAKER_12: Oh no, no, no.
- 1:02:56SPEAKER_12: Oh Cousin Larry.
- 1:02:57SPEAKER_12: Actually, you know we forgot Cousin Larry last week?
- 1:02:59SPEAKER_12: We did?
- 1:02:59SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 1:03:00SPEAKER_12: Uh I don't know that it would have I don't know that it would have uh changed the outcome, but I do I do want to just share with this uh this whole um uh remember last week we had Small Re Small Revelations by Chris Smithers?
- 1:03:15SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 1:03:15SPEAKER_12: Uh he says, I had never heard of this artist, so it's always fun to check out new ones.
- 1:03:19SPEAKER_12: I listened to the whole album and his voice at times reminded me of a poor man's Tom Petty, but that's probably just me.
- 1:03:25SPEAKER_12: His finger picking reminded me a bit of one of Wyoming's favorite songs, Jalen Crossland, might be a good who-diss.
- 1:03:32SPEAKER_12: I kind of like the album.
- 1:03:33SPEAKER_12: Hang on to it.
- 1:03:33SPEAKER_12: Smash.
- 1:03:34SPEAKER_12: So would that have changed the outcome?
- 1:03:35SPEAKER_12: I don't think it's I think everybody else was trash.
- 1:03:38SPEAKER_12: But you know, we didn't do who-dis this week.
- 1:03:40SPEAKER_12: We skipped who disks.
- 1:03:42SPEAKER_12: Oh, did I?
- 1:03:43SPEAKER_12: He just gave he just gave me one.
- 1:03:44SPEAKER_12: Who did?
- 1:03:45SPEAKER_12: Cousin Larry.
- 1:03:46SPEAKER_12: He gave it to me last week, which we forgot to do.
- 1:03:48SPEAKER_12: Oh, okay.
- 1:03:49SPEAKER_12: So maybe we'll we'll circle back on that and we'll we'll look up this uh guy he's talking about.
- 1:03:54SPEAKER_12: So anyway, he goes, You guys skipped my vote laugh out loud.
- 1:03:59SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:04:00SPEAKER_12: Uh he says he didn't think it would have saved it anyway.
- 1:04:02SPEAKER_12: So this week, uh let's see.
- 1:04:06SPEAKER_12: Interesting.
- 1:04:07SPEAKER_12: Uh Cousin Larry votes because uh he says, I love the young guns movies, and certainly John Bon Jovi and Lays of Glory are iconic.
- 1:04:21SPEAKER_12: But I'd rather have the movie DVD than the CD soundtrack.
- 1:04:25SPEAKER_12: I vote trash this week.
- 1:04:27SPEAKER_12: So that's two smashes, one trash.
- 1:04:31SPEAKER_12: And so that leaves you and I.
- 1:04:34SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 1:04:34SPEAKER_12: So what is your vote, Douglas?
- 1:04:36SPEAKER_12: I am trash.
- 1:04:37SPEAKER_12: You are trash.
- 1:04:40SPEAKER_12: You wanna give your reasoning?
- 1:04:41SPEAKER_13: Uh just because I don't the only song on there I like was Play the Lord.
- 1:04:45SPEAKER_13: You didn't like Miracle?
- 1:04:48SPEAKER_13: Well, I mean, it's a Western.
- 1:04:50SPEAKER_13: I'm just you know, that's the only Western song that even like remotely did anything for the movie.
- 1:04:58SPEAKER_13: True.
- 1:04:58SPEAKER_13: Because the rest of them was just like, you know, Bon John John that guy.
- 1:05:03SPEAKER_13: Bon John Vovy.
- 1:05:04SPEAKER_13: John John Vovy, what a he did a fraca.
- 1:05:09SPEAKER_13: A fracca by tutu.
- 1:05:10SPEAKER_13: A fracca by tutu, you know, that one.
- 1:05:14SPEAKER_12: Uh so that so that's two votes for trash, two votes for smash.
- 1:05:18SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 1:05:18SPEAKER_12: So I'm the You are the deciding vote.
- 1:05:20SPEAKER_12: I am the deciding vote.
- 1:05:21SPEAKER_12: And because I'm trying to thin the herd, trash trash because um, you know, you I love me some bon Jovi.
- 1:05:28SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 1:05:29SPEAKER_12: Uh, and I love Blaze of Glory, but I also have Blaze of Glory in another place.
- 1:05:34SPEAKER_12: Correct.
- 1:05:34SPEAKER_12: Um I don't have uh there's a couple other songs on here that I really like, but uh not enough to keep the C D.
- 1:05:41SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 1:05:41SPEAKER_12: So I am going to uh donate that one to And I wasn't crazy about the movie either.
- 1:05:46SPEAKER_12: Young Guns 2.
- 1:05:47SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:05:48SPEAKER_13: I like the first one.
- 1:05:48SPEAKER_13: First one was really good.
- 1:05:49SPEAKER_13: Second one was Yeah.
- 1:05:51SPEAKER_12: So there's Smasher Trash.
- 1:05:53SPEAKER_12: Let's just circle back before we end the podcast, because we're actually quite early.
- 1:05:57SPEAKER_13: Oh uh Rick Rick sent us one too, but we'll
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_12: Do you want to do Rex first and then we'll save?
- 1:06:02SPEAKER_13: No, we'll do Kevin Larry because we gotta make up for forgetting him for the first time.
- 1:06:06SPEAKER_12: Yeah, we do.
- 1:06:06SPEAKER_12: We do.
- 1:06:07SPEAKER_12: Okay, so uh he says uh one of Wyoming's favorite sons, Jalen Crofland.
- 1:06:13SPEAKER_12: So let's see if I can find some music from Jalen Crofland.
- 1:06:23SPEAKER_12: Uh I don't know what song to pick.
- 1:06:26SPEAKER_12: So I'm going to mention a couple titles to you, and then I can you can pick.
- 1:06:32SPEAKER_12: Uh judging by the theme of uh this podcast.
- 1:06:36SPEAKER_12: I think I know which one you're picking.
- 1:06:38SPEAKER_12: Uh the first one, uh first one is Trailer Park Fire.
- 1:06:42SPEAKER_12: Um Methamphetamine Saturday Night in the Country with you.
- 1:06:46SPEAKER_12: Okay.
- 1:06:46SPEAKER_12: Hobo Erotica.
- 1:06:52SPEAKER_12: That's the one I thought you were gonna go with.
- 1:06:53SPEAKER_12: I wanna I want to hear the trailer park O'Brien and Doug after after Hobo.
- 1:06:57SPEAKER_12: Oh, you want to hear the trailer park uh erotica.
- 1:07:00SPEAKER_12: Trailer park fire.
- 1:07:02SPEAKER_12: Alright.
- 1:07:02SPEAKER_12: So we have not heard this.
- 1:07:04SPEAKER_12: So hopefully there's no bad stuff.
- 1:07:09SPEAKER_12: Uh let's see.
- 1:07:10SPEAKER_12: There's a lot of words.
- 1:07:12SPEAKER_12: Oh, this one it's live.
- 1:07:13SPEAKER_03: Oh.
- 1:07:14SPEAKER_13: And he's got a banjo.
- 1:07:16SPEAKER_13: And a beer.
- 1:07:17SPEAKER_13: And a beer.
- 1:07:17SPEAKER_13: You know this is gonna be a good song.
- 1:07:25SPEAKER_12: Jalen Crosslin.
- 1:07:27SPEAKER_05: Sure, thank you so much for inviting me to town.
- 1:07:29SPEAKER_05: I appreciate it.
- 1:07:30SPEAKER_12: That is not how I thought he would sound me either.
- 1:07:47SPEAKER_13: Sounds like it.
- 1:07:52SPEAKER_12: I can see where he gets his this from Chris Smither.
- 1:07:55SPEAKER_12: Yeah, right.
- 1:08:28SPEAKER_10: So he starts singing.
- 1:08:30SPEAKER_10: Okay.
- 1:08:30SPEAKER_10: Yeah.
- 1:08:31SPEAKER_04: Oh my god! Smell the entire time, the baby, it's a child fire.
- 1:08:50SPEAKER_05: He did say the whole thing get out of hand.
- 1:08:54SPEAKER_05: I was burning spiders with an aerosol.
- 1:08:58SPEAKER_05: Spell the entire stone take the baby to trailer park fire.
- 1:09:03SPEAKER_12: He did say it was his finger, it was Chris Withers finger picking that reminded him of uh of this guy.
- 1:09:09SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 1:09:10SPEAKER_12: I get that.
- 1:09:11SPEAKER_12: Oh, yeah.
- 1:09:14SPEAKER_05: Storage shed on cottonwood fill my mind.
- 1:09:18SPEAKER_12: I I'm curious, I want to hear another another track.
- 1:09:21SPEAKER_12: This is methamphetamine Saturday night in the country with you.

- 1:09:30SPEAKER_06: Spin out past co-op station.
- 1:09:38SPEAKER_06: Father Ever been except that high school trip to Lincoln.
- 1:09:50SPEAKER_12: This was eleven years ago.
- 1:10:11SPEAKER_06: The more we stick it out, the more it withers us away.
- 1:10:20SPEAKER_12: See if there's a chorus here.
- 1:10:33SPEAKER_06: Poets and the kings.
- 1:10:37SPEAKER_06: Now and then Autumn FM fed a min.
- 1:10:45SPEAKER_06: Saturday night in the country with you.
- 1:10:50SPEAKER_12: Okay.
- 1:10:52SPEAKER_12: Yeah, interesting.
- 1:10:53SPEAKER_12: Jalen Crosslin.
- 1:10:55SPEAKER_12: Uh, you just heard a couple tracks from him.
- 1:10:57SPEAKER_12: Let me can I play you one more?
- 1:10:59SPEAKER_12: None of him.
- 1:11:00SPEAKER_12: Uh, but I just saw a new piece of music.
- 1:11:04SPEAKER_12: Um because we we didn't have any uh new music this week.
- 1:11:08SPEAKER_12: Right.
- 1:11:08SPEAKER_12: So but I found one just now.
- 1:11:10SPEAKER_12: Play it.
- 1:11:11SPEAKER_12: Uh Graham Bonnet.
- 1:11:12SPEAKER_12: You know who Graham Bonnet?
- 1:11:14SPEAKER_12: Yeah, you do actually.
- 1:11:15SPEAKER_12: Uh he sang for uh Rainbow.
- 1:11:20SPEAKER_12: Can't you think anything uh he's got a lot of uh songs that you probably know that you didn't know with him.
- 1:11:28SPEAKER_12: Well he teamed up with uh Bruce Dickinson.
- 1:11:30SPEAKER_12: So this is the Graham Bonnet band uh with Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden, the fifth force of nature.
- 1:11:37SPEAKER_12: This is on Frontiers, so I just I'm just curious as to what this sounds like.
- 1:11:41SPEAKER_12: Oh, and it's a video.
- 1:13:03SPEAKER_12: This is all grim bottom.
- 1:13:05SPEAKER_12: And I'm not rolling for us.
- 1:13:06SPEAKER_12: I am not either.
- 1:13:07SPEAKER_12: I mean, I think it's got a great voice for 78 years old.
- 1:13:10SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 1:13:23SPEAKER_09: I just don't like the melody.
- 1:13:25SPEAKER_13: Yeah, it's kinda folks who's done and played a pa.
- 1:13:37SPEAKER_12: Uh this is uh from the upcoming album Circuit Breaker, which comes out March 26.
- 1:13:45SPEAKER_12: Yeah.
- 1:13:47SPEAKER_12: I've had enough.
- 1:13:49SPEAKER_12: I like um both of their voices.
- 1:13:52SPEAKER_12: Uh but not a great song, I don't think.
- 1:13:55SPEAKER_13: It's kinda blah.
- 1:13:57SPEAKER_13: Yeah.
- 1:13:57SPEAKER_12: Blah is gonna work.
- 1:13:59SPEAKER_13: It's kinda a dream theater uh feel to it.
