- 0:00Speaker 1: I want to wish everybody a happy St. Patrick's Day.
- 0:03Speaker 1: And that's what it is, baby, St. Patty.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Hey, Patty.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Do Patty. We used to have this girl boss and
- 0:12Speaker 1: her parents didn't let her do much. You know, and
- 0:15Speaker 1: God didn't really let her do much. She didn't have,
- 0:19Speaker 1: you know, she probably had a couple of abilities. But
- 0:24Speaker 1: she was in charge of bringing the garbage out to
- 0:27Speaker 1: the curb, you know. And we'd be out there about
- 0:31Speaker 1: a bus stop sometime, and she'd lug them cans on out.
- 0:34Speaker 1: And it was kind of like one of the only
- 0:36Speaker 1: times she'd kind of go out and about. And so
- 0:39Speaker 1: she'd get all dressed up and even sometimes put her
- 0:43Speaker 1: mama's lipstick on and pull them garbage cans out there.
- 0:48Speaker 1: And we'd be like, hey, Patty. And she would smile, bro.
- 0:52Speaker 1: She'd smile. I mean, she would get all shy sometimes
- 0:56Speaker 1: and even hide. She would stop pulling the can and
- 0:58Speaker 1: hide behind it. So she'd be hiding behind that garbage can,
- 1:02Speaker 1: but we'd be like, hey, hey, Patty. Just kind of,
- 1:06Speaker 1: you know, being sweet to her or whatever. Just not
- 1:08Speaker 1: really flirting, but just, you know, just hey, Patty in her.
- 1:14Speaker 1: And she would just be so shy and nervous, boy. Hey, Patty.
- 1:18Speaker 1: And she'd be pulling that can out there to the curb.
- 1:22Speaker 1: But she'd smile so big when we kind of like
- 1:25Speaker 1: be flirting at her, you know. And her lipstick, man,
- 1:27Speaker 1: she'd smile so big she'd get lipstick on her earlobes, bro.
- 1:32Speaker 1: She was like that, happyed out. And there's something nice
- 1:35Speaker 1: about that, seeing somebody get joyed out. Happy St. Patrick's Day.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Who was St. Patrick? Let me look it up real quick.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Who was St. Patrick? Because I've been to some St. Paddy's, boy. Dude,
- 1:52Speaker 1: one time I was out, I remember down in Rochester.
- 1:55Speaker 1: downtown over there. And people are getting blasted. They're just like, St. Patrick!
- 2:02Speaker 3: St.
- 2:02Speaker 1: Patrick! They don't even know, you know, hey, Patty. People
- 2:06Speaker 1: don't even know what's going on, dude. People out there
- 2:09Speaker 1: just eating cigarettes. And just, dude, they had one dude,
- 2:12Speaker 1: he had his kid in one of those wagons, like
- 2:18Speaker 1: a little wagon. He had a one-year-old just, or maybe
- 2:20Speaker 1: a half of one-year-old. That bitch probably You know, just
- 2:25Speaker 1: however much half of one is. And that was him.
- 2:28Speaker 1: The baby. Just a little damn manger. This motherfucker had
- 2:31Speaker 1: like a little to-go manger. Just some hay around that bitch.
- 2:36Speaker 1: And he'd stacked a bunch of to-go orders on top
- 2:38Speaker 1: of that baby, bruh. Just to keep him warm, bruh.
- 2:42Speaker 1: A baby stay warm. Touch a baby, bruh. On its
- 2:47Speaker 1: back or whatever. Touch it again in an hour. I
- 2:50Speaker 1: bet you that bitch still warm. But yeah, this dude,
- 2:55Speaker 1: he was just rolling home, bro. He had like six
- 2:57Speaker 1: or seven to-go orders stacked on that sleeping baby, bro.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Bunch of garbage plates stacked on a damn four-month-old. What
- 3:06Speaker 1: do we got here?
- 3:06Speaker 4: St.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Patrick. And this is on perplexity. That's what I'm using.
- 3:12Speaker 3: St.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Patrick was a 5th century Christian missionary and bishop. He
- 3:16Speaker 1: was born in Britain. At age 16, he was captured
- 3:21Speaker 1: by Irish raiders and taken to Ireland as a slave.
- 3:24Speaker 1: where he herded animals for about six years before escaping
- 3:28Speaker 1: back to his family. Let's go, Paddy. Hey, Paddy. After
- 3:33Speaker 1: returning home, he eventually trained for ministry and later felt
- 3:36Speaker 1: called back to Ireland as a missionary. Okay. Patrick spent
- 3:41Speaker 1: years traveling through parts of Ireland, preaching, baptizing, founding churches,
- 3:47Speaker 1: and ordaining clergy. He is traditionally regarded as the first
- 3:50Speaker 1: bishop of Armagh. and became the leading figure associated with
- 3:54Speaker 1: Ireland's conversion from paganism to Christianity. Dang, he was that dog.
- 4:00Speaker 1: He was that lord dog, brother. We ride here. Hey, Benny.
- 4:07Speaker 1: He was that lord dog. The famous story that he
- 4:10Speaker 1: drove the snakes out of Ireland is considered a legend,
- 4:13Speaker 1: often read symbolically. Since there is no evidence Ireland had
- 4:18Speaker 1: native snakes after the last ice age.
- 4:20Speaker 5: Wow.
- 4:22Speaker 1: So there's no snakes in Ireland, huh? They're all working
- 4:26Speaker 1: in politics in Israel, I guess. Or America. Anyway, happy St.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Patrick's Day to everybody who's celebrating. Got my green on.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Got my green on. What's cracking, dude? Not much, bro.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Just got back from Albuquerque. Albuquerque. They put so many
- 4:49Speaker 1: Kirk's in it. You know, by the time you're done
- 4:52Speaker 1: saying it, you're gone. You already left. You're like, damn,
- 4:55Speaker 1: I don't need, you know, I was there, but I
- 4:56Speaker 1: couldn't say it fast enough because they had too many.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Have you tried the green chilies? Bro, if you haven't
- 5:10Speaker 1: been to Albuquerque, then you don't know what it's like, bro.
- 5:17Speaker 1: When you get there, it's freaking, it's very Latino, you know,
- 5:20Speaker 1: it's like, A lot of like essays who never wrote
- 5:24Speaker 1: any essays, bro. You know what I'm saying? Like that,
- 5:26Speaker 1: it's like a fucking like, but it's also like a
- 5:29Speaker 1: lot of hardworking, good people there. A lot of kindness, bro.
- 5:35Speaker 1: You know, Mexican culture, bro. They freaking, it's a blast, dude.
- 5:38Speaker 1: They have a blast, bro. You know, and that most
- 5:41Speaker 1: of our labors in America, most of the hardest workers
- 5:45Speaker 1: are Mexicanos. Not all of them. I'm not saying that.
- 5:49Speaker 1: And everybody's kind of taking their turn over time. If
- 5:51Speaker 1: you look through history, all cultures have taken their time
- 5:54Speaker 1: of being hard workers. And some, you know, some are
- 6:00Speaker 1: more prevalent now than others. But it's for sure they
- 6:03Speaker 1: got a lot of Latinos there. Latinos aquí.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Aquí, Latinos.
- 6:07Speaker 3: Latinos.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Ambrose, but you got a lot of construction babies down there,
- 6:12Speaker 1: children born out on even, you know, you'll be, you'll
- 6:15Speaker 1: see in the street, they'll have two kids, even just,
- 6:17Speaker 1: even the children are involved in trades, you know, I
- 6:21Speaker 1: saw two kids just throwing a piece of drywall back
- 6:23Speaker 1: and forth, you'll see a homeless dude, he'll have a sign,
- 6:27Speaker 1: but it's written in drywall, and it's really edged really well, and,
- 6:31Speaker 1: you know, he's got a baseboard at the bottom of
- 6:34Speaker 1: his sign, you know, like, even shit like that, you're like, damn, this,
- 6:37Speaker 1: You'll see a dog house there. Just the shingles are
- 6:40Speaker 1: done really well. There's just like a Latino guy just
- 6:43Speaker 1: drinking under one of the eaves of the home. But yeah, man,
- 6:49Speaker 1: it's a place you grow to love, man. But I'll
- 6:54Speaker 1: say this about Albuquerque, bro. They don't like doing two
- 6:57Speaker 1: stories on nothing. Everything is just one story, bro. One,
- 7:02Speaker 1: just like only one story. It's almost like for a
- 7:05Speaker 1: long time, they maybe didn't have a ladder. And then
- 7:09Speaker 1: finally they got a ladder because they'll be like 50
- 7:12Speaker 1: miles of just one story houses, just like ranch style home. Just.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Have you tried the green chilies everywhere you go to eat?
- 7:23Speaker 1: We went to a place. I went to watch my
- 7:25Speaker 1: friend Diego's sister was playing basketball out there in the
- 7:29Speaker 1: state tournament. And so we went to watch our game
- 7:32Speaker 1: and it was cool. It was at the pit where
- 7:34Speaker 1: the Lobos play, where the New Mexico basketball team plays.
- 7:39Speaker 1: And they won their game. They lost their second game,
- 7:41Speaker 1: but you'll get them next year. That's the vibe. And yeah,
- 7:48Speaker 1: it was just great, bro. We went to a place
- 7:49Speaker 1: to eat called Frontier. Oh, it was so good, bro.
- 7:54Speaker 1: It was just so fucking good.
- 7:57Speaker 6: Hey, Patty.
- 7:58Speaker 1: But they also, it's like, No matter who you talk
- 8:01Speaker 1: to there, they're just like, yeah, have you tried the
- 8:03Speaker 1: green chilies? They'll have a dude in a coma or whatever,
- 8:07Speaker 1: and he'll finally like start to say something. They'll be like,
- 8:09Speaker 1: he's going to talk. And he'll be like, have you
- 8:11Speaker 1: tried the green chilies? It's all anybody cares about, bro.
- 8:16Speaker 1: You could be going to jail and they'll be like,
- 8:18Speaker 1: how do you plead? And they'll be like, I've tried
- 8:20Speaker 1: the green chilies. It's just there's something about it, bro.
- 8:24Speaker 1: That's just their thing, bro, the green chilies over there.
- 8:27Speaker 3: So.
- 8:28Speaker 1: But that was a blast just to get to go
- 8:30Speaker 1: over there. We just went for the day, caught the game,
- 8:35Speaker 1: and came back home. What else is going on? Well, personally,
- 8:44Speaker 1: I guess there's... Oh, we're going to... This episode, we're
- 8:47Speaker 1: going to talk to some busboys. We're going to talk
- 8:48Speaker 1: about the Busboys movie. The tickets for the movie go
- 8:53Speaker 1: on sale March 16th. So... So that's going to be wonderful.
- 8:59Speaker 1: We have some busboys that have just called in and
- 9:02Speaker 1: left voicemails. We put an all call out for that.
- 9:06Speaker 1: So that's what's popping. Have you tried the green chilies?
- 9:14Speaker 1: It's fucking crazy over there, dog. You'll see a kid
- 9:17Speaker 1: in the street just fucking throwing a drill, just throwing
- 9:20Speaker 1: a drill to his friend. It's just... It's a construction area, bro.
- 9:25Speaker 1: The whole place, a lot of people there work in construction,
- 9:27Speaker 1: but the place looks like it could probably use a
- 9:29Speaker 1: little bit of construction. So it's just a dichotomy over there,
- 9:33Speaker 1: you know. But a lot of great people. We had
- 9:37Speaker 1: a blast, man. And unique people, bro. Unique. I could
- 9:42Speaker 1: see why they say a lot of times UFOs landed
- 9:44Speaker 1: out there because they got some. They got people that's
- 9:48Speaker 1: halfway to space out there in Albuquerque. They got some
- 9:55Speaker 1: people that's halfway to space.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Hey, Patty.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Have you tried the green chilies, Patty? Like, dude, chill.
- 10:03Speaker 1: She's just bringing out the recycling bin. She's shy. Yeah,
- 10:10Speaker 1: we'll get into that in a second. What's going on, dude,
- 10:13Speaker 1: with me? I got to check in, man. It's been...
- 10:17Speaker 1: It's like... I don't want to get into like a
- 10:20Speaker 1: complaining culture. Nobody wants to hear that shit. What's going on?
- 10:26Speaker 1: I started a thing where I'm taking a break from
- 10:28Speaker 1: dating and interacting with women. So that's been going pretty good.
- 10:32Speaker 1: It's nice. I just wanted to just take a break
- 10:37Speaker 1: from like I just wanted to have time to focus
- 10:41Speaker 1: on myself and my relationship with my higher power. So
- 10:46Speaker 1: just to Try and get some just things on track better. And,
- 10:53Speaker 1: you know, I think like in the world, like you're
- 10:55Speaker 1: like a magnet, right? Everybody is like a magnet. I think.
- 10:58Speaker 1: That's just my thoughts. And you attract certain things and
- 11:03Speaker 1: your magnet gets attracted to certain places. And sometimes it's
- 11:06Speaker 1: a great spot. But sometimes you got to just check
- 11:09Speaker 1: in on the magnet. Make sure the magnet's working. See
- 11:12Speaker 1: what's going on with the magnet. So, yeah, that's what
- 11:16Speaker 1: I wanted to do. Um, you know, cause I've been
- 11:21Speaker 1: attached to some good metals over the years here and there, uh,
- 11:24Speaker 1: some precious metals, but I think I just need to
- 11:28Speaker 1: take some time just to kind of look at the
- 11:30Speaker 1: magnet and just see what's going on. Uh, yeah. And
- 11:36Speaker 1: I just want to, wanted to try and work on
- 11:38Speaker 1: my relationship with my higher power. You know, I've just
- 11:41Speaker 1: been recently, I've just been kind of sometimes, uh, I
- 11:47Speaker 1: don't know. I just hadn't really been praying that much recently.
- 11:53Speaker 1: And I was talking to my therapist about it yesterday.
- 11:56Speaker 1: I couldn't figure out exactly why. I think sometimes I
- 12:05Speaker 1: don't want to do everything I'm supposed to do to
- 12:10Speaker 1: take care of myself. and that may not make sense
- 12:15Speaker 1: to some people or whatever, and that's fine, but it's like, yeah,
- 12:19Speaker 1: sometimes I just, I don't want to do ever, like,
- 12:22Speaker 1: you know, I'll be doing like so many, like I'll
- 12:24Speaker 1: be doing good things for myself, taking care of myself
- 12:26Speaker 1: this way and this way and this way. And I
- 12:28Speaker 1: know it's impossible for us to do everything to take
- 12:30Speaker 1: care of ourselves. We don't want to live like as
- 12:33Speaker 1: like slaves to like, you know, exactly what we're, you know,
- 12:39Speaker 1: every article that comes out or everything we hear, you know,
- 12:41Speaker 1: that kind of thing would be impossible for me, but
- 12:44Speaker 1: But yeah, sometimes I just don't want to do all
- 12:46Speaker 1: the things I'm supposed to do to take care of myself.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Sometimes I want to like, well, I'm not doing that.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Or there's always one that I'll kind of leave out
- 12:54Speaker 1: or I don't know. I think I can't understand. I
- 12:57Speaker 1: can't explain exactly what I'm saying, but I'm trying to. Yeah,
- 13:06Speaker 1: I don't know. I just sometimes I don't want to
- 13:09Speaker 1: do everything that I'm supposed to do to take care
- 13:10Speaker 1: of myself. Does that make any sense to you, Trevin?
- 13:12Speaker 3: It does. Yeah.
- 13:13Speaker 1: And you're saying like, you're trying to now kind of
- 13:16Speaker 1: check in and like recenter. Yeah. And I was just like,
- 13:19Speaker 1: why am I not praying? Like, what am I again? Like,
- 13:22Speaker 1: I'm not against praying, you know? I mean, I want
- 13:25Speaker 1: a better relationship with my higher power. I think, I
- 13:28Speaker 1: think honestly, part of me scared if I do, if
- 13:33Speaker 1: I do the things I'm supposed to do for myself,
- 13:35Speaker 1: then I'm going to have to change. Uh, yeah. Yeah.
- 13:42Speaker 1: That I'm going to have, not changing in a bad
- 13:44Speaker 1: way or anything, but just that things could be different.
- 13:49Speaker 1: You know, and I won't have, I.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Don't know.
- 13:53Speaker 1: There's always a part of me that wants to be
- 13:54Speaker 1: able to say, I'm not doing that. You know, I'm
- 13:58Speaker 1: not doing, you know, I'm not doing that. No, I'm
- 14:03Speaker 1: going to do things my way, you know. So I
- 14:05Speaker 1: don't know what it is, but, but that, that's been something, um,
- 14:12Speaker 1: And so I was grateful today. Like even before this episode,
- 14:16Speaker 1: I was just asking God for some help. You know,
- 14:18Speaker 1: I was just saying, I just feel kind of sometimes some,
- 14:22Speaker 1: sometimes exhausted in some ways. I feel like I can't
- 14:25Speaker 1: figure out sometimes what I'm supposed to do. Um, just
- 14:28Speaker 1: like in the world, like with work and stuff I can,
- 14:31Speaker 1: but I, you know, it's just like, um, yeah. What
- 14:35Speaker 1: does God want me to do? Uh, And maybe that's it.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Maybe I'm just scared sometimes of asking the God that
- 14:45Speaker 1: and get in like a real answer. Yeah, what does
- 14:48Speaker 1: God want me to do? And then it's like, you know,
- 14:57Speaker 1: and this sounds kind of, I don't know if it
- 14:58Speaker 1: sounds lazy or what it sounds, but sometimes I get
- 15:02Speaker 1: tired of being the one to always have to take
- 15:04Speaker 1: care of myself. you know, I just, I get tired
- 15:10Speaker 1: of being, it's like, oh, okay, here we go again,
- 15:15Speaker 1: I gotta be, you know, I gotta come to my
- 15:18Speaker 1: own rescue, and I know that those, that those are the,
- 15:20Speaker 1: that that's the truth, but sometimes I just get kind
- 15:23Speaker 1: of tired of it, um, you know, and I'm not
- 15:28Speaker 1: trying to say anything, like, I'm doing great, uh, but
- 15:32Speaker 1: that's just kind of some real ways that I'm feeling, um,
- 15:36Speaker 1: I've been doing good about pornography and looking at pornos
- 15:40Speaker 1: and hey, Patty, and masturbation or jerking off or touching
- 15:47Speaker 1: your cock, buddy. But then I slipped up yesterday. So
- 15:53Speaker 1: I think part of me has some negative feeling about that,
- 15:56Speaker 1: you know, not negative, but just like, you know, I
- 15:59Speaker 1: think I get tired of getting like, man, I'll get
- 16:01Speaker 1: to like four or five days. You know, sometimes I've
- 16:03Speaker 1: gotten a long time. I've had months and but. you know,
- 16:06Speaker 1: and then I'll just like, I don't know. So it's
- 16:09Speaker 1: all good. Just trying to be like, just say what's
- 16:12Speaker 1: going on with me. And yeah. And yeah, that's it.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Sometimes you just, you jerk off cause it's almost St.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Patrick's day, but that's not a good reason, dude. You
- 16:25Speaker 1: can't be like, I'm jerking off cause it's almost St.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Patrick's day. That's fucking crazy, bro. That's crazy. Hey, Penny. Uh,
- 16:36Speaker 1: So that's some of what's going on with me. Um,
- 16:41Speaker 1: but I'll say this. It has been nice taking a
- 16:43Speaker 1: break from like, uh, dating and social interaction, uh, with
- 16:47Speaker 1: women has been nice because it, there's been times where
- 16:50Speaker 1: it's like, yeah, I have some more time to myself.
- 16:52Speaker 1: I have some more time to think. Um, yeah. And
- 16:57Speaker 1: it gives my brain a little bit more like space
- 16:59Speaker 1: to be like, okay, Hey, what's going on? You know,
- 17:04Speaker 1: and to kind of check in with myself. So, Uh, yeah,
- 17:07Speaker 1: I'm hopeful. I'm hopeful that, um, yeah, just that I
- 17:11Speaker 1: can work on the magnet, you know? So that's been happening.
- 17:17Speaker 1: What else? Uh, you know, there's people message me a
- 17:21Speaker 1: lot of times or will tell me, uh, Hey, why
- 17:23Speaker 1: don't you talk about this thing? Or why don't you
- 17:25Speaker 1: talk about Iran or Iran, because people say it different.
- 17:32Speaker 1: And a lot of people will ask me about, hey,
- 17:34Speaker 1: will you talk about this? Or will you say something
- 17:36Speaker 1: about this? This is going on. A lot of different
- 17:38Speaker 1: causes that are dear to people's hearts and minds. And
- 17:43Speaker 1: I understand that. And I wish there was that I
- 17:46Speaker 1: could talk about everything. Sometimes I don't know enough. Sometimes
- 17:51Speaker 1: I don't. I'm sometimes I'm burnt out from absorbing, like,
- 17:58Speaker 1: you know, you absorb so much horrible stuff that's out
- 18:02Speaker 1: there that's happening. And it just like, it ruins you.
- 18:07Speaker 1: It ruins you. It's like, and, and there's algorithms that
- 18:11Speaker 1: are set up. It feels like to ruin you. Um,
- 18:16Speaker 1: so it's not that I don't care about certain things.
- 18:18Speaker 1: It's just that, you know, I have to take care
- 18:20Speaker 1: of myself. I have to make sure that I'm living and, uh,
- 18:25Speaker 1: surviving and make sure that my life is okay. And, um,
- 18:29Speaker 1: that the people that I'm responsible for through work and
- 18:32Speaker 1: family that, you know, that I'm upholding my, uh, place
- 18:36Speaker 1: in their lives, you know? So I think that's it.
- 18:39Speaker 1: And not that anybody's asking me to answer about that,
- 18:43Speaker 1: but I'm sure a lot of people deal with that
- 18:44Speaker 1: where it's like people like, why, why don't you speak
- 18:46Speaker 1: about certain things or why don't you know? And some
- 18:48Speaker 1: of it's just, it's too much. Some of it's, it's
- 18:53Speaker 1: too much. Some of it, I don't know enough about it.
- 18:55Speaker 1: So I try to speak up where I can. I
- 18:58Speaker 1: try to speak up when I feel compelled. And sometimes
- 19:03Speaker 1: I feel compelled and I don't know exactly what to say.
- 19:06Speaker 1: I don't know enough information. So I want to have
- 19:10Speaker 1: people on to learn more. And sometimes we have guests
- 19:12Speaker 1: set up in advance. And so it's like certain guests
- 19:15Speaker 1: aren't the space to have a certain conversation with people.
- 19:18Speaker 1: So yeah, I'm not beholding to anyone about anything like that.
- 19:23Speaker 1: But I do want to say that. And, yeah, I'm
- 19:26Speaker 1: doing the best that I can. Maybe in time I'll
- 19:30Speaker 1: be able to have more information about certain topics and
- 19:34Speaker 1: do better. I can do better to learn. And I
- 19:39Speaker 1: try my best. It's hard to know also what is
- 19:42Speaker 1: clean information. And that's a scary thing. So, yeah, I'm
- 19:47Speaker 1: not apologizing or anything. I just i want to speak
- 19:50Speaker 1: up about that that i also have to take care
- 19:52Speaker 1: of me um and show up in the spaces that
- 19:57Speaker 1: i'm supposed to show up as a human and also
- 19:59Speaker 1: not to like you know i i don't it's tough
- 20:04Speaker 1: when you attach when you you know it's just it's
- 20:08Speaker 1: at times it's a lot And I'm sure a lot
- 20:10Speaker 1: of people feel that way, that it's a lot. Um,
- 20:14Speaker 1: but I do see things and I do pray about things.
- 20:17Speaker 1: It doesn't mean that I don't know about them, you know? And, uh, yeah.
- 20:22Speaker 1: And that's where I'm at with that. Um, you know,
- 20:26Speaker 1: I have spoken about this before, but I do have
- 20:28Speaker 1: a lot of uncomfort about America's relationship with Israel, the
- 20:32Speaker 1: Israeli political leaders. That's what I mean. Um, I just,
- 20:38Speaker 1: I believe that that group is, it.
- 20:42Speaker 3: Is, it.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Just feels like a satanic regime. It doesn't seem, it
- 20:50Speaker 1: feels like they just want to cause pain. They just,
- 20:56Speaker 1: I mean, you know, these, they don't even know where
- 21:01Speaker 1: all the bodies from Gaza are and They're already moved
- 21:05Speaker 1: on to other places that they are attacking and that
- 21:09Speaker 1: America is associated now with their attacks. And I don't–
- 21:16Speaker 1: I believe that that will come here one day. I
- 21:19Speaker 1: don't believe that the Israeli leaders, that they have any
- 21:23Speaker 1: intention to stop that. I don't see that they have
- 21:30Speaker 1: any care for the American people. It doesn't seem like that.
- 21:33Speaker 1: I've never heard that spoken. And I believe that if
- 21:39Speaker 1: we don't speak up now, that our children won't have
- 21:42Speaker 1: the chance to speak up, either by law or by worse.
- 21:49Speaker 1: And that may sound crazy to some people, and that's
- 21:51Speaker 1: fine if it does. If it does sound crazy to
- 21:53Speaker 1: you and you think I'm crazy on that point of view,
- 21:55Speaker 1: that's okay. I may disagree with you, but that's okay.
- 22:00Speaker 1: I do want to you know, I worked hard to
- 22:04Speaker 1: be able to have a voice for myself. And so
- 22:07Speaker 1: I hope at least you just respect that. Or I
- 22:11Speaker 1: hope at least you just see that. Like, at least
- 22:15Speaker 1: I'm trying to say what I want to say. And
- 22:20Speaker 1: I don't understand our government's relationship with Israel's leaders and
- 22:24Speaker 1: with Israel's government. I don't understand it. You know, I just,
- 22:28Speaker 1: it feels like there's this war machine and, and then
- 22:31Speaker 1: our soldiers and, are put into these spaces and they're
- 22:34Speaker 1: just there to serve in America that they believe in. Um,
- 22:40Speaker 1: and it's no knock against them or anything like that.
- 22:43Speaker 1: It's just, I just don't, I just, it just feels
- 22:46Speaker 1: like it's causing a lot of pain and fear. And yeah,
- 22:50Speaker 1: I don't understand our, our, our, uh, I don't understand
- 22:55Speaker 1: Trump's relationship. I don't understand the, our politicals, like why
- 23:00Speaker 1: we are so beholden to these, to this government, this
- 23:04Speaker 1: Israeli government that, that just seems to be obsessed with, uh, control.
- 23:13Speaker 1: And it feels like, like blood loss. Like they just like,
- 23:19Speaker 1: it's not enough. Like after what happened in Gaza, I
- 23:22Speaker 1: don't see, to me, I don't, I don't see how
- 23:25Speaker 1: there could be any other view. Um, but if someone
- 23:30Speaker 1: else has a different one, that's okay. That's their point
- 23:33Speaker 1: of view. Um, I'm just happy to be able to, uh,
- 23:36Speaker 1: speak up for myself, even if I'm wrong, even if
- 23:42Speaker 1: I'm wrong, there's a part of me that, uh, even
- 23:46Speaker 1: though it's feel, I feel scared sometimes that I've, I'm
- 23:49Speaker 1: happy to be able to speak up for myself and
- 23:51Speaker 1: say that, you know, um, because it's, I've, I've, yeah,
- 23:59Speaker 1: having a voice has always been important to me and
- 24:02Speaker 1: I'm sure it is to a lot of people and
- 24:05Speaker 1: they're making laws. Now there are bills being presented where
- 24:09Speaker 1: we won't even have a chance to have a voice
- 24:11Speaker 1: at some point. There's surveillance infrastructure that's being put into place.
- 24:17Speaker 1: There's a lot of things happening right now. And some
- 24:19Speaker 1: people are like, well, it's too much for me to
- 24:20Speaker 1: get involved in. I understand that. I understand that. Um,
- 24:25Speaker 1: but yeah, I believe that if we don't speak up now, uh,
- 24:29Speaker 1: and it may already be too late, but if we
- 24:30Speaker 1: don't speak up now that one day our kids will
- 24:32Speaker 1: not be able to. And it's just, it's disappointing to
- 24:35Speaker 1: me too, that, um, a lot of our religious leaders
- 24:38Speaker 1: haven't said anything. I don't understand it. I don't understand that. Um,
- 24:47Speaker 1: but there's a lot of stuff I don't understand, you know? Um,
- 24:56Speaker 1: And I think this has been going on for a
- 24:57Speaker 1: long time. I do not understand Trump's infatuation or beholding
- 25:06Speaker 1: to this government. But they've had– Israeli government's been involved
- 25:12Speaker 1: in America for a long time throughout countless political party leaders.
- 25:19Speaker 1: So it's nothing new. It just feels very extreme right now,
- 25:23Speaker 1: and it feels very scary. That's what it feels like.
- 25:26Speaker 1: And I don't understand how our relationship with them is
- 25:32Speaker 1: helping America, but that's just me. That's just my thoughts.
- 25:41Speaker 1: All right, let's move on. I just had to say that.
- 25:45Speaker 1: So I know some people was like, dude, it's too political, whatever,
- 25:48Speaker 1: but that's, I have to speak up for myself. You
- 25:51Speaker 1: know what I'm saying? I've worked hard in my life
- 25:52Speaker 1: to have a place for a voice. And you may
- 25:54Speaker 1: not even want everyone to hear my voice again. That's okay.
- 25:58Speaker 1: But I have to speak up for myself, even if
- 26:00Speaker 1: I'm wrong. And it's just a lot. That's a lot
- 26:10Speaker 1: of fear I see just every day. People around me, like,
- 26:13Speaker 1: what's going on here? People from different parties, too, that
- 26:16Speaker 1: like this candidate or like this candidate. What the fuck
- 26:18Speaker 1: is going on? I have no idea. I have no idea.
- 26:23Speaker 1: but it seems super scary. That's the feeling, scary. You know,
- 26:34Speaker 1: the industrial war complex, just like everything, you know, the
- 26:38Speaker 1: fact that we know that our foods are poisoning us,
- 26:42Speaker 1: just all, we know that the healthcare, that when, after
- 26:46Speaker 1: your food poisons you, you go to get health, you
- 26:48Speaker 1: go to get healthcare and you get screwed there. It's just,
- 26:52Speaker 1: It's crazy. It's crazy. And then we get sedate. You
- 27:00Speaker 1: start looking at a married dude, people get sedate. It's
- 27:03Speaker 1: like as long as I have my vape and I'm
- 27:04Speaker 1: able to watch like some kids do the stanky leg
- 27:07Speaker 1: video or something, it's like then I'm fine, you know?
- 27:11Speaker 1: It's like we've just like slowly gotten sedated. It's pretty
- 27:15Speaker 1: wild and who knows what will happen. But shit went
- 27:19Speaker 1: from like kind of seemed like kind of mundane in
- 27:21Speaker 1: the world To fucking high speed, it feels like. But
- 27:27Speaker 1: then you can't get so wrapped up in it that
- 27:29Speaker 1: that's all you're thinking about and all you're talking about either.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Because then that is giving, that's like, that's what they want,
- 27:37Speaker 1: you know? They don't want us to live. You know,
- 27:42Speaker 1: they don't want us to live. They want us to
- 27:44Speaker 1: be alive, but they don't want us to live. But anyway,
- 27:52Speaker 1: I know that all that stuff is a lie, but
- 27:54Speaker 1: that's just shit that's been on my mind. Hey, Patty.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Do you try the green chilies, bro? I tried them.
- 28:02Speaker 1: I freaking, dude, I was there. You're there. You're in
- 28:04Speaker 1: Albuquerque for 11 minutes and some guy's coming up. He's
- 28:07Speaker 1: fucking got illegal green chilies. He's like, bro, these bitches
- 28:11Speaker 1: aren't even supposed to be here. It's just like, dude,
- 28:14Speaker 1: I've tried the green chilies. I've tried them and they're great.
- 28:18Speaker 1: They're great. And we went to a place called.
- 28:22Speaker 2: El.
- 28:23Speaker 1: Can you look it up, Trevin? It's kind of by
- 28:25Speaker 1: the airport, I think. El Modelo. Look it up.
- 28:30Speaker 3: Is it that one?
- 28:31Speaker 1: Yeah, bro. El Modelo. And it wasn't beer. I thought
- 28:36Speaker 1: I'd go in. It was just people swimming in a
- 28:38Speaker 1: bunch of like Modelo beer or whatever. Some guy doing
- 28:40Speaker 1: the backstroke, you know.
- 28:43Speaker 7: Oh, shit.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Put some drywall on here. I'm drowning. But it was
- 28:47Speaker 1: just like the sweetest ladies working in there. I mean
- 28:52Speaker 1: the best, bro. And it was just good, bro. It
- 28:56Speaker 1: just felt like, dang. It felt like when you walked
- 29:00Speaker 1: in there, it felt like your grandmother loved you right
- 29:02Speaker 1: when you walked in, homie. Even the gangbangers, they were
- 29:07Speaker 1: taking off their face tattoos before they walked in, bro.
- 29:09Speaker 1: There was like a lot of respectado for el modelo.
- 29:17Speaker 1: But it was, yeah, I had a good time over there.
- 29:22Speaker 1: And shout out to my friend Abby Pavia. She's a
- 29:26Speaker 1: great basketball player. And she's got a big heart. And
- 29:30Speaker 1: it was great to watch her team play. Now let's
- 29:37Speaker 1: get into it, dog. Dude, St. Patrick's Day, have you
- 29:42Speaker 1: tried the green beer?
- 29:47Speaker 2: Damn, St.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Patrick was a slave, bro. Did we say that, Trevin?
- 29:51Speaker 1: I don't think so. It says right here. Let me see.
- 29:57Speaker 1: At about age 16, St. Patrick was captured by Irish
- 30:00Speaker 1: raiders and taken to Ireland as a slave where he
- 30:03Speaker 1: herded animals for around six years before escaping back to
- 30:06Speaker 1: his family. Dang, bro. And then he went back to Ireland. Said,
- 30:16Speaker 1: I'm going to change the game, dude. That's wild. Have
- 30:23Speaker 1: you tried the Catholicism? That's what he was doing over there.
- 30:28Speaker 3: St.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Patrick spent years traveling through parts of Ireland preaching, baptizing. Baptizing, bro. Dog,
- 30:34Speaker 1: don't stay under too long, homie. You'll be late for work.
- 30:38Speaker 1: Founding churches and monasteries and ordaining clergy. Dang, he was
- 30:42Speaker 1: out there in the streets pushing something that meant something
- 30:46Speaker 1: to him. His own surviving writings are the Confessio. Condemning
- 30:54Speaker 1: violence against Irish Christians.
- 30:55Speaker 4: Amen.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Um, okay. I want to talk about bus boys and
- 31:00Speaker 1: we got some callers. We had bus boys that called
- 31:03Speaker 1: in and, uh, I'm a tap into my, you know,
- 31:06Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying? I was a bus boy
- 31:08Speaker 1: for probably seven years. I bus boy at a couple
- 31:12Speaker 1: of places, a couple of times. I worked with a
- 31:15Speaker 1: couple of sisters one time over there at, uh, the
- 31:18Speaker 1: first Mexican restaurant in our area. Um, and these two
- 31:24Speaker 1: girls named April and may, uh, Uh, they were the
- 31:27Speaker 1: chefs and they were, anytime you came back to get
- 31:29Speaker 1: food or whatever, they got furious at you. Cause they
- 31:33Speaker 1: was doing some other shit or whatever, smoking or whatever. And, uh,
- 31:38Speaker 1: and so, yeah, you'd have to go out to the
- 31:39Speaker 1: tables and shit was late and shit like that. And
- 31:41Speaker 1: people left or whatever. Anyway, they invited me to their
- 31:44Speaker 1: house one day to party, asked me to bring some beer.
- 31:47Speaker 1: I drank, I brought some beer over there and, uh,
- 31:51Speaker 1: and a dog bit me and everybody there drank all
- 31:53Speaker 1: my beer and I fucking had to leave early. But anyway,
- 31:56Speaker 1: What else? I worked at Tucson, Arizona. I was a
- 31:59Speaker 1: busboy down there. I was one of the first busboys
- 32:02Speaker 1: to use creatine ever in the history of bussing. I
- 32:09Speaker 1: think I was one of the top seven busboys south
- 32:12Speaker 1: of Phoenix probably for a little while. And I say
- 32:20Speaker 1: that with my whole chest. I say that shit pure
- 32:23Speaker 1: as day. I was out there, boy. I was out there.
- 32:30Speaker 1: I was on the tables. Bread on six. Butter on 11.
- 32:34Speaker 1: Cleanup on 43. Shit diaper. Some kid, they had a
- 32:38Speaker 1: shit diaper over there. Some kid, they brought him in there.
- 32:41Speaker 1: I don't even think they ate. They just brought the
- 32:42Speaker 1: kid in there to shit in his diaper. And somebody,
- 32:45Speaker 1: I fucking wrapped a towel around that bitch and sent
- 32:47Speaker 1: him out. But I was doing it, bro. I was
- 32:50Speaker 1: on the front lines of food use. And dishware. Dirty dishware.
- 32:59Speaker 1: I was on the front lines of that shit, so
- 33:00Speaker 1: I know the trenches. I know what it's like to
- 33:03Speaker 1: go back there and have to look at the dishwasher,
- 33:06Speaker 1: and you bring one more tub, and you love that
- 33:08Speaker 1: motherfucker because he's in the heat, bro. The steam coming
- 33:11Speaker 1: off that fucking water hose spigot thing, he's blasting, bro.
- 33:17Speaker 1: That motherfucker got shit hanging off his eyebrows and shit.
- 33:21Speaker 1: He got pieces of fucking damp tortilla hanging out of
- 33:23Speaker 1: his eyelashes and that bitch is still back there blasting
- 33:26Speaker 1: them bitches. Getting the platos limpio. You know what I'm saying?
- 33:34Speaker 1: And you can't even look him in the eye when
- 33:36Speaker 1: you drop off that last bus tub. Damn, bro. That's
- 33:40Speaker 1: the pain of a real bus boy. Somebody who's got
- 33:42Speaker 1: the tables and the trays and the tubs and the
- 33:45Speaker 1: plates in their heart. When you know, bro, like, I
- 33:50Speaker 1: can't bring this to my dog one more time. And
- 33:56Speaker 1: sometimes I tag him out. I say, man, like, we
- 33:58Speaker 1: a tag team, bro. You know? It's like the World
- 34:05Speaker 1: Washing Federation, bro. The WWF. Let me limpio a tub
- 34:09Speaker 1: for you, daddy. Get out there and get you a cigarette.
- 34:11Speaker 1: And then sometimes he'd have a little pocket of Camaronis
- 34:14Speaker 1: or something on him. Shrimps. And he'd get out there
- 34:16Speaker 1: and eat them bitches by himself. just to rebuild his
- 34:20Speaker 1: conscience and stuff so he could get back. I mean,
- 34:23Speaker 1: that's a dude, that's a Vietnam right there for some people.
- 34:27Speaker 1: So shout out to all the dishwashers too, man. And
- 34:30Speaker 1: that last tub, sorry, we brought it in there, bro.
- 34:32Speaker 1: We know how it felt, but we all had to
- 34:35Speaker 1: get the job done. So I want to say that,
- 34:40Speaker 1: but we had some calls from busters that have been
- 34:42Speaker 1: in the game over the years. People called in, we
- 34:44Speaker 1: got to go to a couple of calls of those.
- 34:46Speaker 1: But first I do want to talk about the, uh,
- 34:49Speaker 1: about the movie. I just want to tell you straight
- 34:51Speaker 1: up that bus boys, the movie will come out on
- 34:56Speaker 1: April 17th. So that's when you'll be able to go
- 34:58Speaker 1: to see it. But, uh, tickets are going to go
- 35:00Speaker 1: on sale March 16th. So, um, yeah, I guess like,
- 35:07Speaker 1: you know, first of all, I got to do this
- 35:09Speaker 1: movie with David Spade and I say this movie, like,
- 35:12Speaker 1: trust me, there's a big part of me. That's And
- 35:17Speaker 1: we did this ourselves, right? That's what I want to say.
- 35:21Speaker 1: You know, I went to Hollywood and you go pitch
- 35:24Speaker 1: TV shows and you do all these meetings. You're always
- 35:26Speaker 1: waiting to hear back. You're always in this cycle of bullshit,
- 35:30Speaker 1: you know? And it's always somebody that was nothing like
- 35:33Speaker 1: me deciding if they thought I had the ability or
- 35:37Speaker 1: the talent or the capability or if my voice should
- 35:40Speaker 1: be heard, right? It was always, you know, it's the
- 35:44Speaker 1: same type of people over and over again. some schmuck
- 35:48Speaker 1: who had never fucking done a day, a moment of
- 35:50Speaker 1: comedy in his life, some business fuck, whatever. You know,
- 35:55Speaker 1: you go to all these things and it's, for me,
- 35:58Speaker 1: it was a waste of time. For some people, it's great.
- 36:00Speaker 1: It's their stairway to their dreams or to different opportunities
- 36:04Speaker 1: and stuff like that. And I had a great time.
- 36:07Speaker 1: Like I met a lot of great people and I
- 36:10Speaker 1: got to develop my standup, which was the best thing
- 36:12Speaker 1: because standup was the thing that I liked the most
- 36:14Speaker 1: because I Nobody could give that to their kid. You know,
- 36:18Speaker 1: you go audition for some role and then some producer's
- 36:21Speaker 1: kid gets it or somebody's son or some bull, you know.
- 36:24Speaker 1: But stand-up, they can't do that. Stand-up is you. Nobody
- 36:29Speaker 1: could give that shit. Look, I'm going to get my
- 36:31Speaker 1: son the opportunity. Fuck your son. You know what I'm saying?
- 36:36Speaker 1: With stand-up, you got to get up there and do
- 36:38Speaker 1: your job. Now, some people may not like my stand-up,
- 36:41Speaker 1: may not think I'm any good at it. That's fine
- 36:42Speaker 1: with me. But you have to get up there and
- 36:46Speaker 1: do your job. Nobody, it's a fucking, it's a thin line.
- 36:54Speaker 1: And that's one thing I always want. I always wanted
- 36:56Speaker 1: my voice. I don't want to do your shit. I
- 36:58Speaker 1: don't want to do your fucking, I don't want to
- 37:00Speaker 1: go play some role where you have me playing this
- 37:02Speaker 1: stupid redneck and it's just like, because you don't even
- 37:05Speaker 1: understand that maybe people where I'm from are diverse of
- 37:08Speaker 1: thought and are more intricate and aren't just racist fucking people.
- 37:14Speaker 1: You know? I wanted more than, like, I just, I
- 37:17Speaker 1: don't know. I thought their system was outdated, to be
- 37:20Speaker 1: honest with you. And though they, you know, there's always
- 37:23Speaker 1: these articles, Hollywood is accepting everybody. That shit, it's not.
- 37:27Speaker 1: It's not. And I'll say that firsthand. So I just
- 37:34Speaker 1: want you to know where some of my energy was
- 37:35Speaker 1: coming from. And why eventually I started to do podcasting
- 37:41Speaker 1: because I just wanted to have my own voice. I
- 37:45Speaker 1: don't want to read your lines. I don't even believe
- 37:47Speaker 1: I'd have meetings with people and I would tell them
- 37:48Speaker 1: about my life or about how I see things. And
- 37:50Speaker 1: they would say that it wouldn't fit this narrative. It
- 37:55Speaker 1: would all, you know, it wouldn't fit this narrative. And
- 38:04Speaker 1: so I got tired of fucking waiting for them. And yeah.
- 38:08Speaker 1: And then, so when I got into podcasting, it was
- 38:10Speaker 1: a place where we could have our own voice. And
- 38:13Speaker 1: I think some of this movie just kind of followed suit.
- 38:18Speaker 1: You know, I became friends with David Spade through Adam Egott,
- 38:21Speaker 1: who worked at the comedy store. And it was great.
- 38:26Speaker 1: You know, I still remember the first time that I
- 38:28Speaker 1: went to dinner. I'd met David at the comedy club
- 38:33Speaker 1: a few times, and then we went to dinner one time,
- 38:34Speaker 1: and he gave me a Joe Dirt hat, dude, and
- 38:36Speaker 1: it was the best. Cause I remember seeing Joe dirt
- 38:40Speaker 1: when I was younger and it was just like, I
- 38:42Speaker 1: didn't know it was, I thought it was a documentary,
- 38:45Speaker 1: you know, because our TV was fucked up. And so
- 38:48Speaker 1: some of the audio was different. And, uh, and I
- 38:52Speaker 1: thought it was a documentary about this kid who had
- 38:54Speaker 1: gotten left at the Grand Canyon by his parents. And, um,
- 38:58Speaker 1: and it gave me just such like an affection for this,
- 39:01Speaker 1: for him, you know, just like, uh, um, yeah.
- 39:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:08Speaker 1: Because I think I felt like that as a kid anyway.
- 39:10Speaker 1: I felt like I got left at the Grand Canyon
- 39:11Speaker 1: even though I was right there a bedroom over from
- 39:14Speaker 1: my mother. You know? Just like, you know, how I felt.
- 39:18Speaker 1: It matched with how I felt. But anyway, a lot
- 39:21Speaker 1: of that's a lot of emo shit. So David and
- 39:25Speaker 1: I became friends. And he's been a great friend. You know,
- 39:31Speaker 1: he's got a big heart. He's welcomed me into circles.
- 39:35Speaker 1: He's taken me with him to like fancy parties where
- 39:37Speaker 1: they have fancy silverware and there's fucking, you know, people
- 39:42Speaker 1: are stealing shit from the place. Like that's how nice
- 39:45Speaker 1: the shit is there. Like I've been to a lot
- 39:48Speaker 1: of places where nobody's stealing shit because people are like, oh,
- 39:50Speaker 1: this shit's trash. I already got this shit at home.
- 39:53Speaker 1: I ain't stealing more just shit. But I've been to
- 39:56Speaker 1: places where they got really nice shit with him. I
- 39:59Speaker 1: met Jon Hamm with him. I met Jon Hamm. Yeah, just.
- 40:11Speaker 1: So anyway, just getting to know him was a blessing
- 40:14Speaker 1: and then. We started, it was during COVID, we started
- 40:18Speaker 1: writing a movie together. And David, even this, I'll say this, he,
- 40:23Speaker 1: you know, I ran out of gas one time and
- 40:24Speaker 1: he brought me gas. And he almost got hit by
- 40:28Speaker 1: a damn Kia Sophia. I mean, fucking so close to
- 40:34Speaker 1: hitting him and killing him. I don't know if it
- 40:35Speaker 1: would have killed him. I don't know. He's not the
- 40:37Speaker 1: biggest guy, but he could have challenged it. But I
- 40:39Speaker 1: don't know. But he brought that shit out, ran across
- 40:43Speaker 1: the interstate and shit, bringing me fucking gas. So, I mean,
- 40:49Speaker 1: just nice shit, man. Um, and so we started writing
- 40:55Speaker 1: this movie because we, um, and, and one thing that
- 41:00Speaker 1: we found that we had in common was that we
- 41:02Speaker 1: both worked as bus boys in Arizona. I worked in
- 41:06Speaker 1: Arizona under, uh, they had this guy, Sam Fox. He's
- 41:08Speaker 1: a restaurateur. He's a friend of mine. He had, um,
- 41:11Speaker 1: this was his first restaurant and I worked there as
- 41:14Speaker 1: a bus boy and, David had worked as a busboy
- 41:17Speaker 1: over there in Phoenix. And so we had this relationship
- 41:20Speaker 1: of busing in the desert, man. Even when there's water
- 41:23Speaker 1: shortages and shit like that, bro. Imagine you got to
- 41:26Speaker 1: clean up 20 tables and you ain't got no water, cut.
- 41:29Speaker 1: Who are you now? Who are you now? I was
- 41:37Speaker 1: still a busboy. So I stayed in that shit, man.
- 41:41Speaker 1: I stayed in that shit. That was our Iwo Jima, cut.
- 41:45Speaker 1: And so that's where I was, man. And so we
- 41:48Speaker 1: kind of bonded on that type of shit. And then
- 41:52Speaker 1: we started writing this movie. And nobody really wanted to help.
- 41:56Speaker 1: And that's fine. I'm not complaining. I'm just saying what
- 41:58Speaker 1: it was. I wanted to let you know where we
- 42:00Speaker 1: were at mentally, what was going on with us and
- 42:02Speaker 1: our brains and stuff. Nobody really wanted to help. We
- 42:06Speaker 1: reached out to some directors that we liked. They didn't
- 42:08Speaker 1: want to deal with it. Our agencies didn't really help.
- 42:13Speaker 1: You know, there was some emailing back and forth and
- 42:15Speaker 1: some light shit, but nothing really like we're going to
- 42:18Speaker 1: take these guys and we're going to believe in them.
- 42:20Speaker 1: You know, we're going to really take these guys and
- 42:22Speaker 1: do something. There wasn't any of that. And I say
- 42:25Speaker 1: that that's true. And so we got to a spot
- 42:30Speaker 1: where it was like, damn, we got to make this
- 42:33Speaker 1: or just go by our ways. And we'd spent a
- 42:35Speaker 1: lot of time together and made it and written it
- 42:37Speaker 1: so far and all of that. And so we just
- 42:40Speaker 1: put up our own money. You know, we put up
- 42:44Speaker 1: our own money. And then next thing you know, dude,
- 42:48Speaker 1: we were making a real movie. And this is crazy.
- 42:50Speaker 1: I didn't think it was real until I showed up
- 42:53Speaker 1: that day on set to shoot. Because it had just
- 42:57Speaker 1: all been emails. It had been David and I writing
- 42:59Speaker 1: and we would go meet at his place and sometimes
- 43:01Speaker 1: we would get Jimmy John's and sometimes we wouldn't, which
- 43:04Speaker 1: I didn't understand. But I would get it on the
- 43:08Speaker 1: way home or whatever sometimes. But yeah, we, you know,
- 43:13Speaker 1: We made this, but we realized that we had to
- 43:18Speaker 1: pay for it, right? We have to fund, so we
- 43:20Speaker 1: put our money in, and I didn't realize until the
- 43:24Speaker 1: day that we got to set, this set, I call it. Look,
- 43:28Speaker 1: I'm not locked in on all the terminology and shit,
- 43:30Speaker 1: so I call it that. I know it sounds highfalutin
- 43:33Speaker 1: or whatever, but until we got to the movie site,
- 43:37Speaker 1: the first day, And there was like trailers. There was
- 43:41Speaker 1: like a woman with makeup or whatever, hair conditioner or whatever,
- 43:45Speaker 1: you know. Hey, Patty, have you tried the green chilies? Yes,
- 43:50Speaker 1: I have. And we were making a movie. And it
- 43:57Speaker 1: was crazy that other actors were there that we'd look.
- 43:59Speaker 1: You know, we did all of this stuff. And so
- 44:03Speaker 1: that's what we're making, right? That's what we put together.
- 44:08Speaker 1: And we did it. We created a movie, you know,
- 44:13Speaker 1: and we made something. And it was crazy because you
- 44:15Speaker 1: get to the end and I was like, fuck, what
- 44:17Speaker 1: did we do, dude? I was so scared. And then
- 44:21Speaker 1: you go through the editing and you do all this
- 44:22Speaker 1: shit and you start to realize, okay, this is how
- 44:25Speaker 1: it is. And so that's what's coming out is our
- 44:30Speaker 1: movie that we made completely by ourselves that these people
- 44:33Speaker 1: said no to. I don't care. Fuck them. You said
- 44:36Speaker 1: no to me your whole life, cuz. You know what
- 44:38Speaker 1: I'm saying? I'm glad you're not on board now. So
- 44:42Speaker 1: that's where we're at. And I think it's good, man.
- 44:45Speaker 1: There's some funny spots in it. It was a huge
- 44:49Speaker 1: learning curve. I'm not saying it's the greatest movie. I mean,
- 44:53Speaker 1: it's like a $ 3 million budget or something. And yeah,
- 45:02Speaker 1: I learned a ton. Like if I could go back
- 45:05Speaker 1: and do, there's a lot of things I would probably adjust.
- 45:07Speaker 1: Like I just learned a lot. Um, I learned a lot, man,
- 45:13Speaker 1: about how it would operate, just all these different things.
- 45:16Speaker 1: So that was a blessing. Uh, it was the most
- 45:19Speaker 1: expensive course of education I've ever learned in my life.
- 45:23Speaker 1: But if you go see this movie, I just want
- 45:25Speaker 1: you to know that that's what it is, right? It's
- 45:27Speaker 1: something that we made. We made it outside of the system. Um,
- 45:32Speaker 1: And thank you, David, for letting me do this with you.
- 45:36Speaker 1: There's some scenes in there, dude, that David does that
- 45:38Speaker 1: are so good. And it's kind of, man, it's just
- 45:44Speaker 1: like Tim Dillon's in it, Nate Diaz, Chris Avila, Jay Pharoah,
- 45:51Speaker 1: Trevor Wallace, Jimmy Gonzalez, Michelle Ortiz. Uh, Lindsay Normington, Tiago Martinez.
- 46:00Speaker 1: Have you tried to bring Chili's Tiago? Steve Little, Sky Bree, uh,
- 46:06Speaker 1: Brent Morin. Um, there's a lot, there's, there's a lot.
- 46:10Speaker 1: I'm missing a ton of, uh, wonderful folks. So, so yeah,
- 46:14Speaker 1: all I'm saying is that's what this is. This is
- 46:16Speaker 1: a movie that we made that is outside of the system.
- 46:20Speaker 1: And we want you to go see it to support
- 46:23Speaker 1: this type of, uh, of thing because we can do
- 46:27Speaker 1: more in the future and we can do it better
- 46:29Speaker 1: and we can help fund movies that other people want
- 46:31Speaker 1: to make that the that the gatekeepers don't see you
- 46:35Speaker 1: know and that's fine i don't need the gate you
- 46:39Speaker 1: know i don't even want to go through the gate
- 46:41Speaker 1: i'm coming up through the dirt son i'm through the
- 46:43Speaker 1: mud dog you keep that bitch latched dog i'll be
- 46:47Speaker 1: in the yard and that's how i've always been and
- 46:50Speaker 1: so that's where i'm at that's where we're at with
- 46:52Speaker 1: this um Yeah, so thank you if you go to
- 46:58Speaker 1: see it. It's not like, what's that movie, Dunkirk or whatever.
- 47:05Speaker 1: It's not like that. Okay, so don't think it's like that.
- 47:09Speaker 1: It's different. It's not like Sarah Marshall. It's not that, right?
- 47:17Speaker 1: This is a movie about two dudes trying to be alive,
- 47:22Speaker 1: trying to become waiters. That's what it's about. With some
- 47:25Speaker 1: love stories in there and some other type shit. But
- 47:31Speaker 1: you feel me. But it's got that busboy mentality in it,
- 47:35Speaker 1: you know? I'll be a waiter or I'll get my
- 47:38Speaker 1: shit some other way. But we eat. Even if I
- 47:45Speaker 1: work at the restaurant, bitch, we eat. So that's the movie.
- 47:49Speaker 1: It's going to be out. I can't believe it. It's
- 47:51Speaker 1: kind of scary too. Cause if nobody goes and sees you,
- 47:53Speaker 1: you're like, oh shit. All right. But that's okay too.
- 47:56Speaker 4: Right.
- 47:57Speaker 1: I mean, it'll bum me out, but that is okay.
- 47:59Speaker 1: You know, uh, I'm proud of like what we've done.
- 48:03Speaker 1: I'm proud that we did something, you know, I feel lucky.
- 48:05Speaker 1: I got to do something with David Spade, man. Like,
- 48:11Speaker 1: you know, I don't even deserve that kind of stuff.
- 48:13Speaker 1: And I don't mean that in a negative way about myself, but, um, yeah.
- 48:18Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 48:19Speaker 1: He's just such an immense talent. And to be able
- 48:21Speaker 1: to just be around him and spend time and the
- 48:23Speaker 1: fact that we ended up down this road together and
- 48:26Speaker 1: here we are. It's been a blessing. And yeah, I
- 48:32Speaker 1: can't even, but like, it's weird to say like, yeah,
- 48:34Speaker 1: I'm in a movie. I mean, anybody could be in
- 48:36Speaker 1: a movie. I mean, you know what I'm saying? Kim
- 48:38Speaker 1: Kardashian was in a short one with some cock in it.
- 48:41Speaker 1: So anybody could be in a film. But, but yeah.
- 48:47Speaker 1: that we made this, and that our friends showed up
- 48:49Speaker 1: to help us make this, man, you know, yeah, and
- 48:55Speaker 1: just the actress and actresses in it, but I think,
- 48:59Speaker 1: I know there's some funny parts in it, I know
- 49:01Speaker 1: you'll laugh, I'm curious, I think I'm just super curious, like,
- 49:04Speaker 1: what is okay to do in a movie, what is,
- 49:06Speaker 1: you know, what could we do differently, I mean, Dude,
- 49:10Speaker 1: the first day we started shooting, got moved by a
- 49:13Speaker 1: week at the last minute. Like two days before, we
- 49:17Speaker 1: got moved by a week because of the fires that
- 49:19Speaker 1: were out in California. Um, that were like a year
- 49:23Speaker 1: and a half ago or whatever. Uh, well, whenever the, uh,
- 49:26Speaker 1: Pasadena fires and the, um, Palisades fires. So that was correct.
- 49:30Speaker 1: I mean, just, there was so many things that were like,
- 49:35Speaker 1: is this going to happen? But it happened. And yeah,
- 49:41Speaker 1: so yeah, there's some, yeah, like there's just, it's just like,
- 49:45Speaker 1: I hope you'll find some joy in it. It's a fun,
- 49:48Speaker 1: it's lighthearted, it's goofy, it's dumb, it's fun. And yeah,
- 49:55Speaker 1: it's a dream come true to be able to do it.
- 49:58Speaker 1: And I promise you that if this one goes well,
- 50:02Speaker 1: We will find other things to make. If I don't
- 50:05Speaker 1: do good and I'm not the one to be in
- 50:06Speaker 1: the other things, that's fine. But we'll create other projects
- 50:09Speaker 1: that are funny, that people want to see. Because that's
- 50:14Speaker 1: really what needs to happen. At least to respect other
- 50:16Speaker 1: people's point of view of comedy. I don't even know
- 50:21Speaker 1: if I mean voices that aren't out there, but it's
- 50:23Speaker 1: just like there's shit that's different. And, yeah, I just
- 50:36Speaker 1: I promise that we'll make other cool stuff, whether we're
- 50:40Speaker 1: in it or not. But we'll write it or we'll
- 50:42Speaker 1: do something, you know. So, yeah, that's where I'm at.
- 50:49Speaker 1: You know, so let's get this thing out there, bro.
- 50:52Speaker 1: But just one more time, tickets will be on sale Monday,
- 50:57Speaker 1: March 16th. You can buy them at busboysmovie.com. So you'll
- 51:03Speaker 1: be able to get those busboysmovie.com. If they don't have
- 51:06Speaker 1: it in your area, that's okay. It'll notice what area
- 51:09Speaker 1: has been looked up. And then as soon as these first,
- 51:13Speaker 1: I think, 100 theaters fill up or something, if we
- 51:16Speaker 1: can sell those, then it's going to let us sell more.
- 51:18Speaker 1: So it's an experiment. It's an experiment. And I appreciate
- 51:22Speaker 1: you guys' patience. I've spent so many hours editing, going through, watching.
- 51:30Speaker 1: There's so many choices that you are a part of
- 51:33Speaker 1: in this, and I learned a ton. Thank you so much.
- 51:38Speaker 1: I can't even believe it. It's just crazy to even
- 51:40Speaker 1: get to do it. Whether people hate it or love it,
- 51:42Speaker 1: I don't give a shit what the critics think. Fuck them.
- 51:45Speaker 1: The critics don't know shit. The critics don't know shit.
- 51:49Speaker 1: Remember that. The critics don't know shit. The critic is
- 51:53Speaker 1: some schmuck. Who's sitting over there. Who never did shit.
- 51:58Speaker 1: That's the critic. That's the critic. Some guy with a
- 52:03Speaker 1: pen and a fucking. He probably didn't even have a
- 52:07Speaker 1: dip in. He probably didn't even have a zen in
- 52:11Speaker 1: his cheek. To fuck him. The critic don't know shit.
- 52:16Speaker 1: I hope the critics hate this shit. Fuck them. Look
- 52:20Speaker 1: I'm a critic now. Hey critics. Y'all fucking suck. There, boom,
- 52:27Speaker 1: I just did your whole job in fucking four seconds, bitch.
- 52:31Speaker 1: All right, now let's get to some calls from some busboys,
- 52:37Speaker 1: some players that have been in the game. Boy, you
- 52:39Speaker 1: know what I'm talking about. Let's go, bro. And look,
- 52:43Speaker 1: I want other busboys to call in. Some of these
- 52:45Speaker 1: are good, and so I want some other busboys to
- 52:47Speaker 1: call in too and hit the hotline. I like to
- 52:49Speaker 1: throw these in from time to time just to respect
- 52:51Speaker 1: the culture and keep it going. The hotline, as always,
- 52:54Speaker 1: is 985-664-9503. Or you can go to the website, theovon.com.
- 53:00Speaker 1: There's a place you can leave, send a video on
- 53:03Speaker 1: there as well if you want to send a video
- 53:05Speaker 1: version of you, and we can put that in the show.
- 53:08Speaker 1: So those are the two ways where you can get
- 53:09Speaker 1: in touch and communicate. As well, if something's going on
- 53:11Speaker 1: in your life and it's big or small, or if
- 53:14Speaker 1: you just want to say something, or if you're scared
- 53:16Speaker 1: about something, you want to get it off your chest.
- 53:18Speaker 1: If there's something that you feel like me bringing up
- 53:21Speaker 1: on here could be of help or service, I'm going
- 53:24Speaker 1: to try to do a better job of doing more
- 53:26Speaker 1: solo episodes. It's been hard for me. For some reason,
- 53:30Speaker 1: doing solos, it takes a lot of stress. It creates
- 53:34Speaker 1: a lot of stress in me. I don't know what
- 53:35Speaker 1: it is. It could just be what's going on right
- 53:38Speaker 1: now and just the busyness of life. I don't know.
- 53:42Speaker 1: It used to be a little easier for me, you know.
- 53:44Speaker 1: Have you tried to hear this? But it's just gotten
- 53:47Speaker 1: tougher over the years. But maybe that will change. But, yeah,
- 53:51Speaker 1: I do want to be able to continue to have
- 53:54Speaker 1: just more of a personal relationship. And maybe that's something
- 53:56Speaker 1: I need to pray about and can pray about. So, anyway,
- 54:03Speaker 1: love you guys. The hotline, 985-664-9503. Let's get to some calls.
- 54:10Speaker 3: Hey, Theo. This is Jacob from Cincinnati area.
- 54:13Speaker 1: What's up, Jacob? Nice to hear from you. Sorry you
- 54:16Speaker 1: guys just lost Trey Hendricks in there. I saw that.
- 54:20Speaker 1: But blessings onward, baby.
- 54:24Speaker 2: I saw your Instagram story talking about busboys.
- 54:26Speaker 5: I used to be a busboy back in high school.
- 54:30Speaker 1: Thank you for your service, brother.
- 54:32Speaker 3: My sophomore and my junior year.
- 54:34Speaker 2: At a pretty high-end restaurant. And.
- 54:38Speaker 3: I think the craziest thing that happened to me there, well,
- 54:40Speaker 3: I saw some tits once, but that's not, I mean.
- 54:43Speaker 1: That's normal shit, bro. That's street shit. You could see
- 54:46Speaker 1: a tit anywhere, bro. Close your eyes. Open them bitches.
- 54:51Speaker 1: Might see one. Onward.
- 54:52Speaker 3: I don't know, man. I'm more of a butt guy myself, but.
- 54:56Speaker 1: Bro, a butt is just a big tits on the back, bro,
- 54:59Speaker 1: with no nipples, with no milk in them. That's all
- 55:01Speaker 1: a butt is. Let's hear it. I, uh, there's.
- 55:05Speaker 5: One day I was working, and I I agree at
- 55:07Speaker 5: this table.
- 55:08Speaker 3: And this lady was mad. She's like, can I have
- 55:10Speaker 3: a lobster bisque? I said, yeah, let me grab my
- 55:12Speaker 3: waitress real quick. And she started ripping my ass. She's like,
- 55:15Speaker 3: you don't need to go tell her this and tell
- 55:17Speaker 3: her that. Just go get me the lobster bisque. And
- 55:19Speaker 3: I was like, all right. Well, you know, some time
- 55:25Speaker 3: goes by.
- 55:26Speaker 2: She gets up to go to the restroom.
- 55:27Speaker 3: So I go over there to check on the brother.
- 55:30Speaker 3: And he says, hey, man, how old are you?
- 55:37Speaker 2: I said, I'm 16, sir.
- 55:38Speaker 3: He's like, oh, never mind. I said, well, why do
- 55:42Speaker 3: you ask? He said, uh, my, uh, my wife loves redheads.
- 55:46Speaker 2: I forgot to mention that.
- 55:48Speaker 3: But, um, I'm assuming that he wanted me to have
- 55:51Speaker 3: sex with his wife in front of him. And, uh,
- 55:56Speaker 3: you know, I don't think I would have done it, uh,
- 55:58Speaker 3: maybe for the right price and shit, but yeah. Anyways, D.R.,
- 56:01Speaker 3: I love you, man.
- 56:02Speaker 1: Love you too, brother. Praise God. And then he almost got, um,
- 56:05Speaker 1: You almost got sex trafficked or whatever there by an
- 56:08Speaker 1: urban couple. And, you know, that's the kind of shit
- 56:14Speaker 1: that's happening, bro. When you had high end shit, anything
- 56:17Speaker 1: could happen, bro. You might get sex trafficked or whatever.
- 56:20Speaker 1: When you had a low end place where if you
- 56:21Speaker 1: had a, you know, if you're working at a subway
- 56:24Speaker 1: or something like that or more of like a lower
- 56:26Speaker 1: tier fast, you know, you're lucky if somebody tries to
- 56:30Speaker 1: touch your ass or whatever or something. Or somebody tries
- 56:33Speaker 1: to fucking Put their hand in your pants real fast
- 56:35Speaker 1: and pull it out and get a quick sniff of
- 56:37Speaker 1: your dick, boy. But if you had a high-end place,
- 56:40Speaker 1: you might actually get traffic, you know? Not some fucking
- 56:43Speaker 1: hand-sniffing dick monkey over there trying to rub on you
- 56:46Speaker 1: or whatever. But what I'm saying is this, dude. Yeah,
- 56:50Speaker 1: they wanted that ginger, boy. They wanted that fucking little firework.
- 56:55Speaker 1: You feel me? They wanted that fucking spicy candle thing.
- 56:59Speaker 1: But that's okay, bro. That's the kind of shit. When
- 57:02Speaker 1: you work high-end shit, you at least get job opportunities, bro.
- 57:05Speaker 1: I always tell my friends, if you're working in a
- 57:07Speaker 1: high-end place, you might get a job opportunity, bro. Hey, bro.
- 57:12Speaker 1: Thanks for your service, bro. Type shit. We out, boy. BLM, dude. GLM, too. Kinda. Alright,
- 57:24Speaker 1: let's hear this.
- 57:26Speaker 3: Hey, what's up, Theo?
- 57:27Speaker 4: Love from New Jersey.
- 57:28Speaker 2: This is Charlie.
- 57:30Speaker 4: I was a busboy at my brother's steakhouse, and the
- 57:34Speaker 4: best part about being a busboy is you can be fed.
- 57:38Speaker 3: You got a lot of.
- 57:38Speaker 4: Food in the back there, so you can snag on
- 57:40Speaker 4: the food. And, you know, being a busboy might not
- 57:44Speaker 4: be the best job, but be the best busboy you
- 57:48Speaker 4: can be.
- 57:50Speaker 1: Bro what are you fucking Richard Nixon or something dude
- 57:53Speaker 1: we're just trying to freaking clean up the tables twin
- 57:56Speaker 1: you feel me dog but I got you but I
- 57:59Speaker 1: don't you don't always get food in the bag dude
- 58:01Speaker 1: I worked at this one place and they would they
- 58:02Speaker 1: would have soup but we could only eat it when
- 58:04Speaker 1: it was really hot bro if the shit got too
- 58:07Speaker 1: kind of cooled off the dude wouldn't let us eat
- 58:08Speaker 1: it so he like watching kids eat that hot soup
- 58:11Speaker 1: or whatever that guy was a maybe a pedophile or
- 58:15Speaker 1: whatever but but we didn't know him that good we
- 58:17Speaker 1: was employees you know um But yeah, but yeah, I
- 58:22Speaker 1: feel you. Do you worked at your brother's steakhouse and
- 58:24Speaker 1: you got fed, bro? It sounded like you was just
- 58:25Speaker 1: over there hanging out, boy. That's fucking gentrification, bro. All right,
- 58:30Speaker 1: let's take another call here.
- 58:32Speaker 5: Hey, Theo, this is Ryan.
- 58:36Speaker 2: So I used to bus tables at this seafood place
- 58:39Speaker 2: and there's this old guy who came in all the time.
- 58:43Speaker 2: We're talking in late 70s, quiet, always sat at the
- 58:46Speaker 2: same two top by the window. Every single visit, he
- 58:50Speaker 2: ordered the same thing, a dozen raw oysters and iced tea. Now,
- 58:55Speaker 2: if you've ever been a busboy, you know the rule
- 58:57Speaker 2: nobody says out loud. If a table leaves and there's
- 59:00Speaker 2: food that looks untouched, it's fair game.
- 59:04Speaker 1: Yeah, you can have a little.
- 59:07Speaker 2: So the guy finishes up, pays, leaves, and goes over. And,
- 59:11Speaker 2: you know, I go over to clear the table, and
- 59:13Speaker 2: there's still a couple oysters there still sitting in the shelves,
- 59:16Speaker 2: and they look perfect.
- 59:18Speaker 1: Oh, bro, them bitches don't look perfect, bro. Going near
- 59:22Speaker 1: somebody else's oysters, dude, that's crazy, bro. Let's hear it.
- 59:27Speaker 2: Lemon wedge, cocktail sauce, the whole setup. Honestly, it looked
- 59:31Speaker 2: like he barely touched them.
- 59:33Speaker 1: Oh, bro. Dog, I don't care if somebody even just
- 59:37Speaker 1: a little bit touched an oyster, bro. I ain't even
- 59:39Speaker 1: showing up at that thing. Now, a scallop, bro. A
- 59:42Speaker 1: scallop is just a fucking big gay oyster, bro. It's
- 59:45Speaker 1: just basically like a bear in the gay community or whatever.
- 59:48Speaker 1: But amongst shellfish. Let's hear more. Scallops, they suck.
- 59:52Speaker 3: And I'm hungry.
- 59:53Speaker 2: I've been running around for like six hours. So I
- 59:55Speaker 2: look around the dining room real quick. Nobody's paying attention.
- 59:59Speaker 2: I grab one of the oysters, hit it with a
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: little lemon, and just slurp it right down there while
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: I'm cleaning the plates. A couple minutes later, I'm back
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: in the kitchen, and one of the servers goes, hey,
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: did you clear that old guy's oysters table? I'm like, yeah.
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: And she goes, did he do his weird thing again?
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: Now I'm already nervous, and I'm like, what weird thing?
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: And she goes, oh, he doesn't actually eat them. He
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: just sucks on them for the flavor and spits them
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: back in the shells. Man, when I tell you the
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: entire kitchen turned to look at me, because by that point,
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: the oyster was long gone. The dishwasher just starts laughing, goes, bro,
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: you ate a secondhand oyster. And the whole, the worst
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: part about it was just everybody knew this guy did that. Like,
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: it was just a known thing about him. Nobody told
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: me this. So that's the day I learned important restaurant rules.
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: If a food's still sitting on a customer's plate, there's
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: probably a reason.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: Bruh, you can't be eating nobody's oyster like that, bruh. Damn, bruh.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: I can't even imagine that. Oh, it makes my fucking
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: lungs hurt right now hearing you say that, you bastard.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: Why would you do that? Why would you do that?
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: Why would you do that? I just don't understand why
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: you would. do that, God, I, oh, oh, bro, that's bad, dog,
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: my buddy used to be like that, boy, my boy Josh,
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: we used to work over there, Morton's Seafood over there,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: on a defunct river down there in Louisiana, Madison View,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: and we were busboys back then, shit, and we was
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: always like, trying to finish off a little bit of
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: food or that. And sometimes the shrimps, I didn't notice,
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: the shrimps, if somebody eats a peeled shrimp, sometimes a
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: little bit gets kind of kept down by the tail
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: over there, and he would peel off that last little
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: outside part and just get that last bit of snack
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: off that thing. He was like that, though. He was
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: like that, bro. He was a real, he got his GED.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: Let's hear another call on it.
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: Yo, Theo.
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: This is Jackson.
- 1:02:21Speaker 5: I got a crazy story for you. I was a
- 1:02:24Speaker 5: busboy at, I mean, the worst Denny's you could possibly imagine.
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: Oh, which one was it? Every single one? Let's hear more.
- 1:02:34Speaker 5: I'm talking, like, just people throwing stuff everywhere. It was
- 1:02:39Speaker 5: a mess.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: We know who you're talking about when you say people
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: as well, but let's hear more.
- 1:02:44Speaker 5: But this one time, this whole group of people, 15
- 1:02:48Speaker 5: people came in. They seemed nice. They seemed real nice. Apparently,
- 1:02:53Speaker 5: it was a graduation. And one of the boys just graduated,
- 1:02:58Speaker 5: and the rest of the guys were very happy. They
- 1:03:01Speaker 5: decided that they were going to order the all-you-can-eat pancakes,
- 1:03:05Speaker 5: just one of them. And I had to explain to 15,
- 1:03:09Speaker 5: 17-year-olds that you can't buy just one all-you-can-eat pancakes. You've
- 1:03:15Speaker 5: got to buy 15 all-you-can-eat pancakes. Let's just say they
- 1:03:18Speaker 5: beat my ass and I had to give them all-you-can-eat pancakes.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: I don't even believe that story. They beat your ass
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: at a Denny's? First of all, that might be true.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: Nobody would even notice. But you just gave them all-you-can-eat pancakes?
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: I don't even believe that. Thank you for the call.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: Do you believe that, Trevin? I mean, shit happens at Denny's, bro.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: They beat his ass and then he's continued to work
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: for the day? Tears in his eyes. I don't know.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: I appreciate the call, Jackson. I just do not believe it.
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: Is it wrong for me to say that, Trevin? No,
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: I mean, it's a fair assumption.
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: And I'm sorry you got hurt if you did get hurt.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: But I don't think you did. All right. Theo, my brother,
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: I used.
- 1:04:06Speaker 7: To be a busboy slash kind of barback for this
- 1:04:10Speaker 7: steakhouse in Nashville. And I worked there for like I
- 1:04:14Speaker 7: don't know, a year and a half. And basically I
- 1:04:17Speaker 7: would just kind of pick up dishes from the table
- 1:04:19Speaker 7: sometimes and, you know, cut fruit for the bartender stuff.
- 1:04:23Speaker 7: But I would, you know, I would clock in at
- 1:04:25Speaker 7: like three 30 in the afternoon and I would leave
- 1:04:27Speaker 7: at like 10 30 at night.
- 1:04:28Speaker 9: And I maybe worked, I mean, I maybe.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: Did two hours of work while I was there.
- 1:04:33Speaker 9: And so after about a year and a half of
- 1:04:35Speaker 9: working there, the manager pulls me into the office one
- 1:04:37Speaker 9: day and he goes, Hey man, uh, we're going to
- 1:04:43Speaker 9: eliminate your position.
- 1:04:44Speaker 7: Uh, we don't really.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: Think that we need a bar back. And I said,
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: you don't, I wasn't even mad.
- 1:04:51Speaker 7: I was like, yeah, I'm, I was like, I've been
- 1:04:54Speaker 7: working here for a year and a half and I
- 1:04:55Speaker 7: don't really know what I do to be totally honest
- 1:04:57Speaker 7: with you.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: And, uh, and I've always.
- 1:04:59Speaker 9: Imagined that that's what it would be like to work
- 1:05:01Speaker 9: for the federal government.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: So yeah, that was my experience. Uh, Amen, man. That's
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: from a guy, Ethan Anderson. Uh, thank you, bro. Yeah,
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: that's a dude. I agree. I mean, they just voted
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: to let pet like perverts keep spending money out of
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: a slush fund or whatever the government, our government has
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: sold us up the river, brother. So I'm just glad
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: that you had a job even for a little bit.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: That'll be it. One day we'll be in a museum.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: Even if you had a job just for a week
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: or something and be like, Oh, tell us about what
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: it was like. There'll be three people left. Um, That's great, man.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: That's great stuff, bro. I said, you don't. All right,
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: let's see what else we got here. There's a great one, too,
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: that I'm going to play after this.
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: I've been a buff boy on and off for a while,
- 1:05:51Speaker 5: currently on.
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: Type shit, big dog. Stay in the game, bro. Stay
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: in the freaking game, dude. Just wear knee braces or
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: whatever if things are getting bad. Stay in the game.
- 1:06:03Speaker 5: The wildest story I had was probably I was working
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: at P.F.
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: Chang's, and I found someone's panties under the table, and
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: I had to get to the back of the kitchen. But,
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: you know, thanks.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: You had to get them to the back of the
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: kitchen for what, huh? What did they want them? Some
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: perv back there huffing on them bitches, boy. Been there, daddy.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: We've all been there, huh? To be young. Hey, Penny.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: Have you tried the green chili? All right. Let's get
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: one more here. Yeah, dude. The things you'd find under
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: the table, bro. I found a molar under one table
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: one time. We had a dude left his ashes, his
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: buddy's ashes or whatever, from a fire, death burning thing
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: or whatever, funerals. Yeah. trying to think, yeah, panties or whatever, bro,
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: and if that's at P.F. Chang's you was at, that
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: shit's popping, though, P.F. Chang's was nice, though, at a
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: certain time, bro, that shit was nice, all right, let's
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: get one more here, I love this one, I think
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: we'll probably finish on this one for now, we'll see,
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: And we might do some more next week, next time
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: we do a solo. I like this. I like kind
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: of seeing what kind of people were doing what. Busboys,
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: tell me about it. Busgirls, who was out there. Now,
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: we didn't have a lot of busgirls, bro. The busboys
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: had to try to flirt with the hostesses, but we
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: were kind of too low class for them. So, really,
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: the waiters got the hostesses, really, to date them. So,
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: busboys was always out. That was the thing about being busboys.
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: You were always on your own, bro. You were always
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: this outsider group. You weren't really the kitchen group. They
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: didn't respect you to cook. They respected you to carry
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: the food from the cook to the table. That was it.
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: They respected you to have the food for about seven
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: or eight seconds. That's as much respect as they gave
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: you when you was a busboy. They didn't respect you
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: to cook it. They didn't respect none of that shit.
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: They didn't respect you. They said for seven seconds you
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: could carry this over there. That's how much respect they
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: have for you. Onward. Here's a call right here. This
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: is from Jason V.
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: Hi, Theo.
- 1:08:27Speaker 8: I used to be a busboy at a couple different restaurants.
- 1:08:30Speaker 8: The first restaurant was the Burger Bar in Stockbridge, Michigan.
- 1:08:35Speaker 8: It was owned by my Uncle Danny, who was a
- 1:08:37Speaker 8: Vietnam War veteran.
- 1:08:39Speaker 6: He loved Asian women.
- 1:08:40Speaker 8: He used to tell me growing up all the time,
- 1:08:42Speaker 8: he's like, get you an Oriental woman, Jason. They cook,
- 1:08:46Speaker 8: they clean, they don't talk back. He owned the Burger Bar,
- 1:08:51Speaker 8: and I worked with him, and the manager of the
- 1:08:54Speaker 8: Burger Bar was my mom. So I worked with my mom,
- 1:08:57Speaker 8: Uncle Danny was the owner, and my mom was the manager.
- 1:09:01Speaker 8: And my mom had a relationship with her first cousin, Steve.
- 1:09:06Speaker 6: That was the son of my Uncle Danny. And Steve
- 1:09:09Speaker 6: was in the Outlaws Motorcycle Club, and his road name
- 1:09:12Speaker 6: was Pushrod.
- 1:09:14Speaker 8: And I eventually got out of that environment and I
- 1:09:17Speaker 8: grew up and I got my own car and I
- 1:09:19Speaker 8: became a busboy at the ground in.
- 1:09:22Speaker 6: Jackson, Michigan.
- 1:09:24Speaker 8: I worked a few days a week there and I
- 1:09:27Speaker 8: worked on kids night, which was Tuesday night. And they
- 1:09:30Speaker 8: used to have this clown come in. And this clown
- 1:09:33Speaker 8: was named Plinko. Plinko was in his fucking late 40s
- 1:09:36Speaker 8: or 50s or some shit. And he was named after
- 1:09:40Speaker 8: that Price is Right game because he and his mom
- 1:09:43Speaker 8: were like really close and she fucking died of cancer
- 1:09:46Speaker 8: or some shit.
- 1:09:47Speaker 6: And he just called himself Plinko the Clown.
- 1:09:50Speaker 8: Plinko didn't have a driver's license. I don't know if
- 1:09:52Speaker 8: Plinko was ever legal to drive in the state of Michigan.
- 1:09:56Speaker 6: I used to have to pick him up for work.
- 1:09:59Speaker 8: My boss would give me like an extra $ 20 if
- 1:10:03Speaker 8: I would pick up Plinko. And I formed a relationship
- 1:10:06Speaker 8: with him.
- 1:10:06Speaker 6: He would buy me booze all the fucking time. He
- 1:10:09Speaker 6: would let me smoke cigarettes.
- 1:10:11Speaker 8: And I would pick him up and he'd put his
- 1:10:12Speaker 8: clown makeup on as we were driving to the ground ground.
- 1:10:16Speaker 6: And he would.
- 1:10:17Speaker 8: Basically, I don't think the ground round paid Planko. I
- 1:10:21Speaker 8: think they paid him in fucking alcohol, because he would
- 1:10:23Speaker 8: just get fucking hammered, and he would make these kids, like,
- 1:10:27Speaker 8: these fucked up balloon animals. Like, not even balloon animals, like,
- 1:10:31Speaker 8: balloon items. Like, he had, like, a fucking hatchet he
- 1:10:33Speaker 8: would make, and, like, a balloon machine gun, and he
- 1:10:37Speaker 8: would just be sitting in the back as I was
- 1:10:39Speaker 8: busting tables, and he would be drinking, and.
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: He would be like, I fucking... hate.
- 1:10:44Speaker 8: Kids and i gave plinko a ride home and after
- 1:10:48Speaker 8: i quit the ground round plinko actually hooked me up
- 1:10:52Speaker 8: with this dude that he was friends with and his
- 1:10:54Speaker 8: name was detroit rick and we used to sell cable
- 1:10:57Speaker 8: to scramblers out of the back of detroit rick.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: Oh yeah cable to scramblers dude that shit was hype
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: big industry.
- 1:11:04Speaker 8: Onward van it was like a cash only thing i
- 1:11:07Speaker 8: made a lot of money that.
- 1:11:08Speaker 6: After that I joined the Army National Guard, and I
- 1:11:14Speaker 6: became a recruiter for the National Guard. I hope this
- 1:11:16Speaker 6: information helps.
- 1:11:17Speaker 8: Thank you for your service.
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: Thank you for your service, Jason V. Dude, that is,
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: thank you, bro. Thank you. I was losing hope in
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: humanity and in myself, and you just restored it with
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: a good story. I appreciate that. Sometimes that's all we need,
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: you know?
- 1:11:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: Thank you, bro. That is thank you for your service,
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: Jason V. And for your service as an Army National Guardsman.
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: That's it. That's it for today. Happy St. Patrick's Day.
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: You know, try the green chilies. Try them on St.
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: Paddy's Day. Try them for St. Paddy's. Put them in
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: your St. Paddy's food. That's a green additive. What else?
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: That's about it. you know, hang in there, we'll keep
