- 1:38Speaker 2: what's going on with the storm. It took a lot
- 1:41Speaker 2: of us. By Rocks, I was up with my baby
- 1:44Speaker 2: girl in my's son three am to about seven am

- 2:45Speaker 2: I want to get off the show. So tell us
- 2:51Speaker 2: a little bit about yourself.
- 2:53Speaker 5: Yes, yes, definitely. So just to sum it up pretty much,
- 2:58Speaker 5: I am an author. I also I am an recording artist.
- 3:02Speaker 5: You know. I also have the other platforms with magazine
- 3:05Speaker 5: and TV and radio, and also we do community work
- 3:09Speaker 5: as well alongside with the other things we're doing with that,
- 3:12Speaker 5: you know, back to school events we do, We've got
- 3:16Speaker 5: me toy drives, and we also do like just a
- 3:18Speaker 5: lot of things. We help you out and in general
- 3:20Speaker 5: I'm also a domestic around It's advocate and we do
- 3:23Speaker 5: workshops time to time. So we do a lot of
- 3:25Speaker 5: stuff and it's we try to expand it. But right
- 3:28Speaker 5: now we're just based in New York City at the moment.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Wow, birthday girl got her hands all in everything. Well,
- 3:37Speaker 2: you know, one of them, one of the members from
- 3:39Speaker 2: the crew, Miss Seanett, would like to tell you happy birthday.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 3:47Speaker 2: So you know we are here tonight the chit chat
- 3:50Speaker 2: about your book. So like I love the cover. It's you,
- 3:58Speaker 2: it is just you, it is it is amazing. The
- 4:02Speaker 2: trials and tribulations. Of course we all know, yesingground, trials
- 4:13Speaker 2: and tribulations. That's a strong title.
- 4:18Speaker 5: Yes, he's such a strong title. Okay, So I'll give
- 4:25Speaker 5: you guys a little bit of a backstory how I
- 4:26Speaker 5: came about the title and then how it came to
- 4:29Speaker 5: the pretty much put together. This book is very dear
- 4:33Speaker 5: to me, and with that in mind, I realized I
- 4:35Speaker 5: wanted to tell my ttimony. I wanted to tell people
- 4:38Speaker 5: about what things I've endured in the past and how
- 4:41Speaker 5: it made me who I am today. With that said,
- 4:43Speaker 5: this book how I before I made the Trial Relations title,
- 4:48Speaker 5: I went through certain things of that you know, situation
- 4:51Speaker 5: of revelations that they called it as being a domestic balist, survivor,
- 4:55Speaker 5: being a rape victim, going through the foster care system,
- 4:58Speaker 5: and with that as a and then later on a
- 5:01Speaker 5: life as an adult, you know, being homeless and pregnant,
- 5:04Speaker 5: and then just facing so many or deals in my life,
- 5:08Speaker 5: and I felt like I wanted to There were times
- 5:11Speaker 5: where I wanted to underlife myself. And God has given
- 5:14Speaker 5: me the strength as we speak right now, literally the
- 5:16Speaker 5: strength to push as far as I can to overcome
- 5:20Speaker 5: all those things, those demons, those those situations I've encountered,
- 5:24Speaker 5: and and I feel like today I'm a primary example
- 5:26Speaker 5: of a true survivor. And if I could go through
- 5:29Speaker 5: all those situations in my life and sit here with
- 5:33Speaker 5: you as we speak to your amazing audience are watching
- 5:36Speaker 5: right now, and to tell people that no matter what,
- 5:39Speaker 5: if you went through worse or went through similar situation,
- 5:43Speaker 5: you can survive it through it all. And today is
- 5:46Speaker 5: actually I just turned forty, and to think my mother
- 5:49Speaker 5: just passed away up like and made this year. So
- 5:52Speaker 5: I've just been going through those situations harder as it
- 5:55Speaker 5: is because you know one thing was your father and
- 5:57Speaker 5: your mother. It's like that's that's one of my kind.
- 6:00Speaker 5: That's it. So it's like the reason why the book
- 6:02Speaker 5: is trials and tribulations and autobichphier realogy because I want
- 6:05Speaker 5: people to know the raw, the raw of it all
- 6:08Speaker 5: of not who I am as an artist, as a person,
- 6:11Speaker 5: and I want people to relate to that and also
- 6:13Speaker 5: be inspired and not to give up on their own
- 6:16Speaker 5: dreams and even know what they're going through and what
- 6:18Speaker 5: I went through, they could relate to that, understand that
- 6:22Speaker 5: this is just for now and you better this could
- 6:25Speaker 5: come out of it.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Wow. So that that is amazing, and it's really amazing,
- 6:33Speaker 2: and you know that they are so proud of you
- 6:36Speaker 2: because I know and most definitely when to write those autobiographies,
- 6:41Speaker 2: that's like peeling back the layers. So yes, how did
- 6:47Speaker 2: you deal with that? The onion cries? You know, that's
- 6:52Speaker 2: what I call it, because you're peeling back the layers.
- 6:54Speaker 2: And now my eyes with water.
- 6:56Speaker 5: You know.
- 7:00Speaker 2: When you feel back the onions and it brings back
- 7:05Speaker 2: all these tears, and the tears are the emotions and everything.
- 7:08Speaker 2: How did you deal like did you do with that energy?
- 7:14Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 7:15Speaker 5: No, no, And you're right. You're right. It had to
- 7:17Speaker 5: take a lot of out of me because I didn't
- 7:19Speaker 5: really want to write this book, to be honest with you,
- 7:21Speaker 5: it's just like I've gone through so much. And then
- 7:23Speaker 5: even at that time when I finally sat out and
- 7:26Speaker 5: nobody helped me, I just did on my own, like
- 7:27Speaker 5: just put the chapters together, and I just put the
- 7:29Speaker 5: ideas on and typing, no handwriting and looking straight typing,
- 7:32Speaker 5: and I said, you know, I got to tell the
- 7:34Speaker 5: story because God told me too. And I felt like
- 7:37Speaker 5: there was a time where, you know how we all
- 7:39Speaker 5: have a calling in life, and I feel like being
- 7:41Speaker 5: an author and writing like other books, but this one
- 7:44Speaker 5: was really the harror core of my life. And I
- 7:47Speaker 5: want people to understand. It's not like I want people
- 7:49Speaker 5: will be like, oh my god, you know, I want
- 7:51Speaker 5: people to learn and gain something from it and understand it.
- 7:54Speaker 5: Like if I went through all these situations and how
- 7:57Speaker 5: there were times I wanted to just end it, but
- 7:59Speaker 5: I said no, God told me not too. You were
- 8:02Speaker 5: here for a purpose. I realized, you know what, I
- 8:05Speaker 5: want to utilize the opportunity to put a book and
- 8:08Speaker 5: talk about some of the situations I went through, and
- 8:11Speaker 5: you know, I don't talk too much deep into it
- 8:13Speaker 5: because I don't want to scare away the readers. But
- 8:15Speaker 5: I just give into the pieces of it. And you know,
- 8:19Speaker 5: I wanted to learn and understand, like these things do
- 8:22Speaker 5: happen to people in general, men or women, and I
- 8:25Speaker 5: wanted to gain something from it. So that's why I
- 8:28Speaker 5: feel like after I, and you're right after I. You know,
- 8:31Speaker 5: I put it together and sit it out. It was
- 8:34Speaker 5: a healing process for me. And I realized going back
- 8:37Speaker 5: through because it did take the trauma, I didn't have
- 8:40Speaker 5: to like relive it and write it down. So it
- 8:42Speaker 5: did give me that more where I had to like
- 8:45Speaker 5: have enough focus and to just get this done and
- 8:49Speaker 5: make sure that the story be told correctly. And when
- 8:53Speaker 5: I put it out there and I had seen the
- 8:55Speaker 5: feedback and the people that were like constantly contact me,
- 8:58Speaker 5: like you just like you don't know how much that
- 9:00Speaker 5: meant so much, you know the book in this and
- 9:02Speaker 5: I was like, thank you, because if I could say
- 9:05Speaker 5: somebody to like if they read a book, if I
- 9:07Speaker 5: say somebody because they could go through something mental health
- 9:10Speaker 5: issues or whatever the case may be, then I know
- 9:12Speaker 5: my job is done's to me?
- 9:15Speaker 2: Oh my god, do it?
- 9:22Speaker 6: Okay.
- 9:24Speaker 2: So now if you say you're an artist, all right,
- 9:31Speaker 2: you know you got to tell us about that.
- 9:33Speaker 5: Yes, okay. So prior to writing, which is like one
- 9:37Speaker 5: of my biggest things I love to do, I also
- 9:40Speaker 5: am recording artists and I've been doing it for like
- 9:43Speaker 5: I want to go ten years or so. And as
- 9:46Speaker 5: we speak right now, I just I've been releasing a
- 9:49Speaker 5: lot of albums. You're guys getting exclusive here. I will
- 9:52Speaker 5: be releasing the sixth full album will.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Be coming this sense for album.
- 10:00Speaker 5: The fifth one is being pushed back, but the sixth
- 10:02Speaker 5: four album will be finally coming out next month in October.
- 10:06Speaker 2: And I really cannot wait.
- 10:08Speaker 5: You guys hear this because the music I've done prior's great,
- 10:11Speaker 5: but this went to the next level from my vocals
- 10:14Speaker 5: and my my girlf as an artist, and I've done
- 10:17Speaker 5: music as a Christian music. I've done hip hop, reggae,
- 10:20Speaker 5: thong Spanish. This goes on I like two different affection
- 10:24Speaker 5: sounds from my music. So when you get to see, like,
- 10:28Speaker 5: my name is very OLG so you guys look through
- 10:30Speaker 5: like just look it up on every all platforms, you're
- 10:33Speaker 5: gonna hear all types of sounds and like, oh really
- 10:35Speaker 5: cool and yeah, but the album.
- 10:39Speaker 2: What is your favorite sound?
- 10:41Speaker 3: What?
- 10:41Speaker 5: What?
- 10:41Speaker 2: What sound? Do you feel? Is you? You know that's funny.
- 10:47Speaker 2: I don't know me.
- 10:49Speaker 5: I love R and B. That's why I'm an R
- 10:51Speaker 5: and B head, all right, yeah, R and B. I'm
- 10:55Speaker 5: homeride the classics of the best R and B and
- 10:58Speaker 5: of course a little bit Latin there too, just on there.
- 11:02Speaker 2: So now I'm gonna remember that because you don't know
- 11:05Speaker 2: what my second have questions, So remember that, Yes, questions.
- 11:11Speaker 2: So let's let's get back to the book. So you
- 11:15Speaker 2: you let well, let's ask this question. Okay, you're booking
- 11:20Speaker 2: your music. Okay, how did the journey for both of
- 11:26Speaker 2: them bring out this beautiful person we have in front
- 11:30Speaker 2: of us?
- 11:31Speaker 5: Thank you. I think for me, writing is a way
- 11:36Speaker 5: to escape in some ways of what I'm going through,
- 11:39Speaker 5: and I also utilize on my music my music. Was
- 11:44Speaker 5: you like the hearing audio part, as you say, you
- 11:47Speaker 5: get to hear the pain, you get to hear the joy.
- 11:49Speaker 5: With the writing. You you don't get the hearing, but
- 11:51Speaker 5: you get more of like the visualization of it all.
- 11:54Speaker 5: And I feel like the situations that went through my life.
- 11:58Speaker 5: I want people to not emilated, but I think to
- 12:03Speaker 5: kind of be inspired by that and to see that,
- 12:06Speaker 5: you know, wow, this is really cool that somebody could
- 12:08Speaker 5: use their pain and their own personal experiences or I
- 12:11Speaker 5: think they could relate to and put it in something
- 12:13Speaker 5: that will overformed. That is going to be something that's
- 12:16Speaker 5: amazing and that could inspire them maybe to pursue their
- 12:19Speaker 5: own thing as well.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Now that that's wow. I can't even I can't put
- 12:26Speaker 2: the words. It's like wow. Okay, mm hmm. So we
- 12:37Speaker 2: have musical success and we have literary success. Which one
- 12:44Speaker 2: is more important to you? And why?
- 12:47Speaker 5: Oh that's tough? Oh my god?
- 12:52Speaker 2: Why? Okay, if they both are the same, m.
- 13:00Speaker 5: Why hey, you know's a good question I'm gonna ask
- 13:05Speaker 5: me that. I think to me, writing is first because
- 13:12Speaker 5: writing does help you form how you want to put
- 13:15Speaker 5: the things together, especially like in a poem or in
- 13:17Speaker 5: a song or anything of that. Nature of writing is
- 13:20Speaker 5: first of fundamental, you need that. So I think writing
- 13:23Speaker 5: is first before anything.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Right, So you know what, you guys, We're about to
- 13:28Speaker 2: take a break. And you know me, you guys, y'all know,
- 13:32Speaker 2: I always got something up my sleep with my second
- 13:36Speaker 2: half questions. So we're gonna do great, and we're gonna
- 13:40Speaker 2: come back and remember R and B. Remember that. All right,
- 13:45Speaker 2: you guys, we'll be right back.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Turn off the legs, the candle.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Tonight.
- 14:14Speaker 7: Amen to Megan, Let's take a shower, shower together.
- 14:30Speaker 1: I was abuded, you must somewhat wealthy, and say, Jayce,
- 14:51Speaker 1: turn off, Come to.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Girl, I want to care of you. What a special trick.
- 15:05Speaker 1: You're so sweet?
- 15:08Speaker 2: Turn all right, so we're gonna turn the light back
- 15:15Speaker 2: on you guys. I was like, how this song? But
- 15:21Speaker 2: you know what. It wasn't until I was looking at
- 15:24Speaker 2: myda play and they said some things that I started
- 15:27Speaker 2: to look at that song differently, Like was he trying
- 15:31Speaker 2: to tell like they said him ada play, Like was
- 15:33Speaker 2: he trying to tell her she was dirty? Because he
- 15:35Speaker 2: said I want to wash your body, like I didn't
- 15:37Speaker 2: expect you to do it clean enough. After I heard that,
- 15:40Speaker 2: I heard that song in a total different manner. Let
- 15:47Speaker 2: me want to here He's like, I'll wash your body.
- 15:53Speaker 2: You watched mine? Hmmm, okay it It's not until I
- 15:59Speaker 2: heard that night, remember pausing the plate, going to my phone,
- 16:04Speaker 2: turning on the song and I was like, I want
- 16:07Speaker 2: Tom Teddy trying to tell her she didd He's like,
- 16:09Speaker 2: I never thought about it. Well, you know, he's trying
- 16:17Speaker 2: to tell you something. You know. Okay, i'mna be good.
- 16:21Speaker 2: I'm gonna be good, y'all good. So there's second half
- 16:28Speaker 2: of my show. I always tried to bring in like
- 16:31Speaker 2: a pop element or something along that line, because I
- 16:35Speaker 2: love music and I love books, so I like to
- 16:37Speaker 2: bring them both together. Too awesome. So and you know,
- 16:42Speaker 2: I sent you a list of questions. But guess what, Yes,
- 16:45Speaker 2: it's living on that list. I'm gonna make you think.
- 16:49Speaker 6: Okay, okay, if you can crawl, write a book with any.
- 17:04Speaker 2: I don't know much about Reggaetn. I just know the
- 17:07Speaker 2: men and Reggaetn not just im. Sorry?
- 17:10Speaker 5: Ook?
- 17:12Speaker 2: Cool would the artists be? And why? Hm hmm.
- 17:18Speaker 5: That's a good one.
- 17:23Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying? Uh his name?
- 17:25Speaker 5: Oh, God, forgive me my uh oh? If not him, daddy,
- 17:30Speaker 5: yank you for sure. I watched he had actually had
- 17:34Speaker 5: a movie based on his story a couple of years ago.
- 17:37Speaker 5: It came out and I was watching online and it
- 17:40Speaker 5: was amazing how he went through the trenches. He was
- 17:43Speaker 5: actually born in Puerto Rico, and he was like in
- 17:46Speaker 5: the bad area and he overcame it. He went to
- 17:49Speaker 5: the States. He was just making his meat, struggling charges survive,
- 17:54Speaker 5: and by a struck of luck he was. He didn't
- 17:58Speaker 5: stop his dreams. He didn't you want to do shows
- 18:01Speaker 5: and events and that swords and best behold. It was
- 18:04Speaker 5: just the right timing and he got found, he got signed.
- 18:06Speaker 5: I think he got discoveries they called it. And then
- 18:10Speaker 5: the rest is, you know, his careers went up. So
- 18:12Speaker 5: I think his stories is just amazing of the you know,
- 18:16Speaker 5: like from the rags to richest situation. I feel like
- 18:18Speaker 5: I love that.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Okay, so now let's put let's bring your book into this,
- 18:25Speaker 2: all right.
- 18:26Speaker 7: I like this.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Lifetime Movie network has called here and said, we're gonna
- 18:31Speaker 2: make your book until a biopic. But you have to
- 18:35Speaker 2: choose who is going to play you.
- 18:38Speaker 5: Oh that's hard. How would be interesting with a pick?
- 18:46Speaker 2: Like?
- 18:46Speaker 5: You know?
- 18:47Speaker 2: Yes, so you got to tell me who I'm supposed
- 18:51Speaker 2: to call so they could play you.
- 18:53Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, I don't know this actress, Uh jesus her,
- 19:00Speaker 5: she's like a comedian. Okay, she got like more in too,
- 19:04Speaker 5: like dramatic roles. I forgot her name. Oh god, which
- 19:08Speaker 5: other way she was on? But she was in a
- 19:09Speaker 5: few comedy movies and it will be amazing, and she
- 19:13Speaker 5: could kind of portray me.
- 19:15Speaker 2: I got her name, Oh god, she plays it.
- 19:20Speaker 5: She was in a few, like the comedy movies that
- 19:23Speaker 5: came out like a couple of years ago, a couple
- 19:25Speaker 5: of years ago. Oh gosh, and not god, her name?
- 19:38Speaker 5: She she she did commercial for the hotels not too
- 19:41Speaker 5: long ago. I forgot her from the hotels. Yeah, she
- 19:46Speaker 5: she doesn't like Randhead.
- 19:48Speaker 2: Yes, I don't know who you're talking about, because she
- 19:53Speaker 2: played she played in the movie and she was carn Artists.
- 19:58Speaker 5: Yes, that's the one.
- 19:59Speaker 2: That's the Oh, I cannot and I'm looking at her face.
- 20:02Speaker 2: I'm looking right at her face, and I cannot remember.
- 20:05Speaker 2: But I know who you talk about. I don't know
- 20:08Speaker 2: her name, but I know that.
- 20:09Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, that's her.
- 20:10Speaker 2: I can see that. And they were snapping each other
- 20:14Speaker 2: in one scene outside of a car or something. Yeah,
- 20:17Speaker 2: beat each other. I don't know, it's exactly who you're
- 20:19Speaker 2: talking about. Okay, so now we got the actress on
- 20:25Speaker 2: the way, but now we got to come up with
- 20:27Speaker 2: your soundtrack. And you have to choose an artist, Okay,
- 20:32Speaker 2: to either co write the song or be on the
- 20:37Speaker 2: track with you. Who would it be? Why? In what genre?
- 20:44Speaker 5: Oh my goodness, this is hard. That is tough. But
- 20:50Speaker 5: it will be two people. Actually, I think Okay won't
- 20:53Speaker 5: be to Oh I just love her music, and the
- 20:58Speaker 5: other won't be Alicia Keys. You went to different Yes,
- 21:03Speaker 5: none of the reason why because I yes, I love
- 21:07Speaker 5: their music for I'm a big fan of them for years,
- 21:09Speaker 5: and they're both women of strength for various reasons. And
- 21:14Speaker 5: I feel if they'll be honest, they could do a
- 21:17Speaker 5: song for the you know, the movie or be your
- 21:20Speaker 5: part to work with them, it will be just extraordinary.
- 21:23Speaker 5: And the reason why, I think it's the strength depending
- 21:25Speaker 5: on the song of the concept, it's bringing out independence
- 21:29Speaker 5: of a woman. Also the strength like Mary g Blige,
- 21:32Speaker 5: you know her songs are like always about strong. Yeah,
- 21:35Speaker 5: so it's yeah.
- 21:42Speaker 2: Character from power.
- 21:44Speaker 5: Oh my god, she was good.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Okay, I'm not, I'm not you know what like that? Okay,
- 21:56Speaker 2: get it back.
- 22:04Speaker 5: But I just feel like that'd be great for just
- 22:08Speaker 5: that that part of the strip of part in song
- 22:10Speaker 5: and bringing out.
- 22:12Speaker 2: That the Celine Dion and Alicia Keys that sounds like
- 22:17Speaker 2: that'll be something that really sounds like Yo, it's okay.
- 22:24Speaker 2: What would the title of the song be?
- 22:28Speaker 5: See, it varies, but I think it depends on how
- 22:32Speaker 5: the song goes and everything. So if it was something
- 22:34Speaker 5: with title, I will say as Life goes On or
- 22:41Speaker 5: something like that to that that that kind of similar.
- 22:46Speaker 5: You know, Alicia Keys, I think has a song or
- 22:49Speaker 5: a CD called My Life.
- 22:50Speaker 2: No, that's Mary Blanche Oh no, yes, I think right, yes,
- 22:59Speaker 2: so Alicia Keys, she does talk a lot about her
- 23:01Speaker 2: life and her love. And then you got some lean
- 23:03Speaker 2: Diana over here doing her you know what you did
- 23:06Speaker 2: that question that I don't know? Well, birthday girl. We
- 23:14Speaker 2: are winding down. What would you like to say to
- 23:17Speaker 2: your readers? What would you like to say to the
- 23:19Speaker 2: new readers that you have gained today and the ones
- 23:22Speaker 2: you've had in your past?
- 23:24Speaker 5: Yes, I just want to tell them, first and foremost,
- 23:27Speaker 5: thank you for supporting and believing in my mission of
- 23:31Speaker 5: what I've been doing with the books and everything else.

- 23:47Speaker 5: it to a journey of just so much to absorb
- 23:51Speaker 5: and to just relate in some ways, and then just
- 23:54Speaker 5: to gain something from that as well.
- 23:56Speaker 2: Well great, you know what you already got a new
