  We are in the midst of one of the best four day stretches of

  betting that you're ever going to find those Thursday, Friday,

  Saturday, Sunday, rounds 1 and 2.

  with some plays today. I have four March Madness plays

  got a dog and a favorite. I got to fade the trendy dog.

  I had a really sharp contrarian dog as well.

  And we do have a couple totals late night that I'm hoping we'll

  But last night 2 and 1 + 0.8 units had a nice hit with the

  Xavier over late night. I probably should have went with

  that Xavier sharp move. They turned it on late.

  Xavier was able to cover that number.

  Remember public was Texas but line moved to Xavier -2 to 2

  But what I always like to do is dance with the one who brung me

  injuries late. Halliburton got ruled out as

  get into some sweats for today guys.

  First one that I want to mention is a 405 Eastern Time sweat

  between VCU and BYU. We got the 11 seeded VC Rams

  playing the six seed BYU. So let's set the stage.

  I'll give you my play for this one.

  So going into it, VCU, the 11 seed 28 and six on the year,

  they just outlasted George Mason 68 to 63 to win the A10
• 4:22
  tournament. Didn't cover though as a 7 1/2
• 4:24
  point neutral sight dog. Meanwhile, BYU 24 and 9 on the
• 4:28
  year, the six seed, but they just got crushed by Houston 74
• 4:31
  to 54 in the Big 12 tourney semi finals.

  Did not cover as a 6 1/2 point neutral site dog.

  So what have you seen across the market here?

  Will this game open with BYU listed as a 3 1/2 point neutral
• 4:43
  site favorite and the public is leaning toward BYU.

  It's a short number. You got the six over the 11.
• 4:49
  Seems like the obvious play. Play the Cougars, right?
• 4:52
  Not so fast. Even though BYU is taking in
• 4:55
  roughly 2/3 of spread bets at DraftKings, the line ain't
• 4:58
  moving further toward BYU, it's dropping toward VCU.

  So BYU getting 2/3 of bets open -3 1/2.
• 5:06
  Now they're down to -2 1/2. So you guys know what this is.

  Classic reverse line movement. When the betting line goes away
• 5:12
  from the popular side, BYU, toward the unpopular side, VCU.
• 5:17
  Now, aside from the sharp reverse line move for VCU, this
• 5:20
  would be a bet against the public play.

  VCU is only getting around 1/3 of tickets across the market.

  But I also like the fact that VCU pretty good contrarian
• 5:29
  value. As I mentioned, only about 1/3
• 5:31
  of tickets. But Ken Palm in particular has
• 5:34
  BYU winning the game, but only by one point.

  He's got BYU winning 74 to 73. So if that's basically a one
• 5:41
  point game and we're getting 2 1/2 and we're contrarian with
• 5:44
  that reverse line move, that gets me pretty excited.

  Tells me this sharp play in the value play is on VCU and the
• 5:50
  points. So I took the plus 2 1/2 with
• 5:53
  VCU. I love the fact that our friends
• 5:55
  at Rhythm have this as basically a pick em game.

  Rhythm has BYU minus 0.4 points, so basically half a point.

  Basically a pick em. We also look at some advantages
• 6:07
  here for VCU. If you've never swat VCU before,
• 6:10
  you'll love it when they play defense.

  They're one of the best defensive teams in the country.

  They ranked 24th in defensive efficiency versus 69th for BYU.

  They have the better offensive rebound percentage, 37% versus
• 6:23
  33%. Better free throw percentage

  huge and these tight games when you got to make your free
• 6:28
  throws, 75% versus 71%. Then also they ranked first in
• 6:33
  the country at limiting their opponents effective field goal
• 6:36
  percentage. They make it very difficult on
• 6:38
  their opponent to to shoot well. They hold their opponents to
• 6:41
  44%. BYU ranks 165th.

  They hold their opponents to 51%.

  So you add it all up here guys. We got public on BYU, but the

  lines dropping a VCU. Ken Palms got a one point game.

  Rhythm has a half point game. We can be against the public

  with the sharps and take the 2 1/2 and that's exactly what I'm

  doing. So my first play here on the pod

  is VCU plus the points. Unfortunately, 3 1/2's gone. 3

  And I think you probably want to get it sooner rather than later

  because it looks like some of these shops are juiced up like

  it may even fall to two. So first play for me, guys,

  let's go VCU Rams plus 2 1/2. All right, next play, let's look

  at a 7:10 PM Eastern Time. First game between Arkansas and
• 7:26
  Kansas. So let's set the stage for this
• 7:28
  one talk line movement system matches and I'll give you a
• 7:31
  little clue. We got a trendy dog situation
• 7:33
  here. So going into it for the 710 tip
• 7:36
  off, we have Arkansas 20 and 13 on the year.
• 7:39
  They're the 10 seed just fell to Ole Miss 83 to 80 in the second
• 7:42
  round of the SEC tournament. Did cover though, as a four and
• 7:46
  a half point neutral sight dog even while Kansas 21 and 12, the
• 7:49
  seven seed bit of a disappointing year.
• 7:51
  We're used to them being, you know, one of the top seeded
• 7:53
  teams in the tournament just came up short against Arizona,
• 7:56
  88 to 77 in the Big 12 tournament quarterfinals did not
• 8:00
  cover as a 3 1/2 point neutral site dog.

  So what are we seeing across the market here?

  Well, this game opened with Kansas listed as a four and a
• 8:08
  half or five point favorite and the public says the wrong team
• 8:12
  is favored. They can't believe Kansas is
• 8:15
  laying about five points. They're saying, hey, give me
• 8:17
  Arkansas, give me the points. Kansas is disappointed.
• 8:20
  So you're getting 76% of spread bets at DraftKings going with
• 8:24
  Arkansas, so 76% of bets on the dog.
• 8:27
  You know what that means? We got a very trendy dog with
• 8:29
  Arkansas. So right off the bat I'm looking
• 8:32
  at going the other way, going with Kansas.
• 8:34
  Now, the other important factor here is that even though big
• 8:37
  majority of bets are on the Razorbacks, this line isn't down
• 8:40
  to four or three. It's pretty much stayed the same
• 8:43
  right at 5. Some books have even gotten up
• 8:45
  to five and a half throughout the day.
• 8:47
  There are a couple 4 1/2 still out there, but for all intents
• 8:49
  and purposes we are seeing a very sharp line freeze.

  That's when you have heavy betting one side, but the line
• 8:54
  really what will not move tells you that the books are really
• 8:58
  more concerned with the sharp contrarian Kansas wagers than
• 9:01
  they are these non-stop $5 average Joe bets on the
• 9:05
  Razorbacks. So looks like a fade the trendy
• 9:07
  dog play to Maine. Now Kansas is one of the top
• 9:11
  contrarian plays of the day. Like even if you just take away
• 9:13
  that sharp line freeze just from a heavily bet March Madness
• 9:17
  influx of public betting situation, you got a lot of
• 9:20
  novice bettors betting these games for the first time.
• 9:22
  Therefore, I want to bet against the masses and the masses are on
• 9:25
  Arkansas plus the points. So Kansas only getting 24% of
• 9:30
  spread bets in the most one of the most heavily bet games of
• 9:32
  the night. Great bet against the public
• 9:34
  value. Then.
• 9:35
  If you look at Circa in particular, only 30% of bets are
• 9:39
  on Kansas, but they're taking into account nearly 70% of
• 9:43
  spread dollars. So that tells me the bigger,
• 9:44
  sharper wagers here are going with Kansas.
• 9:48
  Now Kansas has some advantages, better offensive efficiency,
• 9:50
  49th in the country versus 73rd for the Razorbacks, better
• 9:54
  defensive efficiency, 11th versus 18th.
• 9:57
  Offensive rebound percentage, 30% versus 28%.

  And they shoot the three better, 35% versus 33%.

  Now a little bit of a little bonus here with Kansas, there is
• 10:09
  a 25% sharp mush edge at Juice Reel in favor of Kansas.

  So 25% of the sharper winning betters are on Kansas versus the
• 10:17
  masses who are more bullish here on Arkansas.

  But Long story short, guys, everybody's playing Arkansas.

  That makes them a very, very trendy dog.

  Let's fade this trendy dog. I'm going Kansas and I'm laying
• 10:27
  it with Kansas. And the really important thing
• 10:30
  here with Kansas, try to find -4 1/2 because there are a couple
• 10:33
  books at -4 1/2. I got -4 1/2 Kansas at FanDuel.

  Again, there's a lot of fives, but if they win by 5, you want
• 10:41
  to cover that bet and win that -4 1/2.

  But again, everyone loading up on Arkansas, sharp line freeze
• 10:47
  on Kansas. Let's go Jayhawks -4 1/2.

  Now some late night sweats. Let's go to a late night matchup
• 10:54
  here. 9:25 PM Eastern Time. Big matchup between Utah State
• 10:59
  and UCLA. Now going into it, we have Utah
• 11:02
  State 26 and seven, the 10 seed they just lost to Colorado
• 11:05
  State, 83 to 72 in the Mountain West semifinals.
• 11:10
  UCLA, by the way, 22 and 10 on the year.

  They're the seven seed. They just lost to Wisconsin 86
• 11:15
  to 70 in the Big 10 quarterfinals.

  So what have we seen across the market here?

  Well, we have seen this line move a little bit toward
• 11:22
  UCLAUCLA opened -4 1/2. They're up to -5 that's kind of
• 11:27
  an interesting bet split as well because Publix leaning Utah
• 11:30
  State in the points, yet the line moved toward UCLA.
• 11:33
  So it's like there could be some respected UCLA money here on the
• 11:35
  side. But I'm going to focus on the
• 11:37
  total. This game really jumped out to
• 11:39
  me as a pretty sharp overplay. So the first thing I noticed is
• 11:43
  this total opened around 143 1/2.
• 11:47
  We've now seen it get bet up as high.
• 11:49
  It reached as high as 145 1/2 earlier today, but it's pretty
• 11:53
  much sitting around 1:44. There are a couple books at 143
• 11:57
  1/2. That's important because I took
• 11:58
  over 143 1/2 at ESPN bet. Now, the first thing I like
• 12:01
  about this one is it's a bit of a contrarian over because if you
• 12:05
  look at circa right now, only 44% of bets are taking this
• 12:09
  over, but it's accounting for nearly 70% of the money.
• 12:13
  So this is kind of one of those classic, you know, contrarian
• 12:16
  overplays where usually the public loves to play an over
• 12:18
  just to root for points. But this one, they're actually
• 12:21
  thinking, hey, UCLA, good defensive team, it's going to
• 12:23
  stay under. But no, it's actually, you know,
• 12:25
  ticked up a little bit here. Those 143 1/2's again, closer to
• 12:29
  one 44144 1/2. Now, what I really like is that
• 12:33
  Ken Palm has a 147 final here. So that is about a, you know,
• 12:38
  2-3 point edge based off the current 143 and half 144.
• 12:43
  He's got UCLA winning 76 to 71. Of course, you know, 5 point
• 12:47
  game and the spread is basically 5.
• 12:50
  But a couple other angles to like this over and root for
• 12:52
  points. One, it's a relatively short
• 12:54
  spread. So if we do get a competitive
• 12:56
  game, like you saw Xavier, Texas yesterday, you know, the spread
• 12:59
  is about 5. That one was what, like 2 1/2
• 13:01
  three. But back and forth, maybe get
• 13:03
  some some some scoring a competitive game.
• 13:05
  That's always good for an over. But then I also look at two
• 13:09
  pretty good offensive teams. UCLA's offensive efficiency is
• 13:13
  36 in the country. Utah State is 17th.

  Both teams have pretty good effective field goal
• 13:18
  percentages, 53% for UCLA, 56% for Utah State.

  And the one thing that I really like if we're going to play an
• 13:25
  over is hitting your threes. Both these teams are around 35
• 13:29
  or 36% from three this year. Another angle to like the over.

  I popped open Juice Reel, 16% sharp mush edge on the over, 16%

  more of the sharper winning batters on the over as opposed

  to the losing batters who are leaning more toward the under.

  So really looks like a contrarian over to me.

  give you my play for this one. Going into it, we have UNC

  Wilmington, the 14 seed, but they went 27 and seven.

  They were the Champions of the CAA.

  They beat Delaware 76 to 72 in the championship game.

  Meanwhile, Texas Tech 25 and eight on the air.

  They are the three seed. They lost to Arizona 86 to 80 in

  the Big 12 semi finals. So what are we seeing across the
• 14:52
  market for this one? Well, little bit of movement
• 14:55
  toward North Carolina. Wilmington this game open Texas
• 14:57
  Tech -16 1/2. The line is now down to Texas
• 15:01
  Tech -15 1/2 and you are getting a majority of tickets here.

  Expecting a Texas Tech blowout. Nearly 70% of spread bets are on
• 15:09
  the Red Raiders, yet this line is dipped a little bit.

  So if you tell me like Wilmington and the points, I

  can't argue with you. Looks a little bit sharp public

  Texas Tech, but this line is dropping -16 1/2 down to -15

  1/2. But once again, I'm going to

  look toward an overplay here. I like this play toward the
• 15:25
  over. This total opened North

  Carolina, Wilmington and Texas Tech as low as 142 1/2.

  We've now seen this line get bet up to 143 and a half. 1:44.

  First thing I noticed is a pretty good bet split to the

  over. DraftKings 68% bets 78% dollars

  on the over. Circa 65% bets, 80% dollars on

  the over. So you have kind of a modest

  amount of public support, but also low bets, higher dollars,
• 15:54
  heavy sharp action toward this over.

  It has ticked up. Ken Palms got a 147 again.

  So it's a it's a good spot here to take advantage hopefully of a

  Ken Palm discrepancy play because he's got Texas Tech

  winning 81 to 66 again, that's a 147 and we're going over 143

  Now Texas Tech is number six in offensive efficiency.

  UNC Wilmington is number 85 S still top 85 effective field

  goal percentage. Texas Tech 56%, Wilmington 52%.
