Suárez on Waivers Amid Struggles | Cincinnati Reds News
The Reds shock fans by sending veteran slugger Eugenio Suárez to outright waivers—despite his recent grand slam heroics—amid a disappointing season marked by injury and slumping stats. Suárez, still a power threat with 19 homers and 57 RBIs, could be a low-cost gamble for playoff teams needing right-handed pop. Meanwhile, outfielder T.J. Friedl, struggling offensively, joins him on waivers. Both players have minimal remaining salaries, giving other clubs a chance to claim them before the Reds make final decisions.
