- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Benn and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with our radio. Hey guys, welcome to the Almost Famous Podcast.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Ben is still out he's in Israel with Jess. Can't
- 0:11Speaker 1: wait to hear all about that trip when he comes
- 0:13Speaker 1: back next week. But for now, we have the first
- 0:17Speaker 1: episode um post Bachelor. I mean, this is gonna be
- 0:20Speaker 1: like the first episode in a very long time that
- 0:23Speaker 1: we have like nothing really um Bachelor break and we don't.
- 0:28Speaker 1: We're not breaking down the Bachelor at all, which is
- 0:30Speaker 1: wild because you had so many seasons back to back.
- 0:33Speaker 1: But that means we make away for this awesome season
- 0:37Speaker 1: of Almost Famous where we get to talk um to
- 0:40Speaker 1: alum and get to know them better. So today we
- 0:44Speaker 1: have DeAndre can you of Bachelor in Paradise on the podcast. Hey, d'andra,
- 0:50Speaker 1: thanks so much for being here. I thank you for
- 0:53Speaker 1: having me. I'm super excited. So tell us what you've
- 0:56Speaker 1: been up to since Um you left the beaches of Paradise.
- 0:59Speaker 1: You home a own for a long time down there
- 1:02Speaker 1: for being someone who like no offense, didn't have like
- 1:05Speaker 1: a serious relationship, you know, but every week there was
- 1:08Speaker 1: like something enough to get you by. Absolutely. I think
- 1:12Speaker 1: that I I had an interesting time of paradise, and
- 1:17Speaker 1: I'm super thankful for my time of paradise because it
- 1:19Speaker 1: made me realize that not everyone's going to be for
- 1:23Speaker 1: you and to like give people a genuine try and
- 1:26Speaker 1: a chance. Um. But since Paradise, I've been testing out
- 1:30Speaker 1: dating and you know, trying to focus on what I
- 1:33Speaker 1: really want in life and what I look for in
- 1:36Speaker 1: men and like how to avoid men that you know,
- 1:39Speaker 1: show red flags at the first signs. Um. But yes,
- 1:42Speaker 1: since Paradise, I've been dating, I've been working, traveling. I'm
- 1:45Speaker 1: actually in l A right now and on Dallas face
- 1:47Speaker 1: so this is different for me. But yeah, I've been
- 1:49Speaker 1: just trying to enjoy life. So if you return to
- 1:52Speaker 1: a quote regular job, yes, so I am still working
- 1:57Speaker 1: full time in pharmaceutical sales, but I also do content
- 2:00Speaker 1: creation and that's honestly kind of where I'm more so
- 2:02Speaker 1: wanting to lean in the future. But yeah, what is
- 2:07Speaker 1: it that you want to concentrate on content creation? Content creation?
- 2:11Speaker 1: I thought I thought that you just hear up with
- 2:15Speaker 1: like a drug name, Like in my head it was
- 2:17Speaker 1: like content creation and I'm like, oh my god, what
- 2:20Speaker 1: kind of drug is that? Anyway? Okay, how has dating
- 2:25Speaker 1: been in um Texas? Do you think that Texas is
- 2:29Speaker 1: any different than any other part of the country. Are
- 2:31Speaker 1: you do an online app dating? I don't know. I
- 2:35Speaker 1: don't know how I feel about Texas. So I'm in
- 2:37Speaker 1: Dallas and I feel like it's a very small pool.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Like I feel like the dating pool is very small.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Everyone knows everyone, so that's been super weird. No, I
- 2:45Speaker 1: haven't gotten on any dating apps. I think that I'm
- 2:48Speaker 1: judging myself if I get on a dating app. And
- 2:49Speaker 1: I don't know IF's because I've been on a dating show,
- 2:51Speaker 1: but I'm like, I feel like doing a dating app
- 2:53Speaker 1: but just be too much. I don't know. I don't know.
- 2:57Speaker 1: You're like, okay, so you're like borderline gen x jen
- 3:02Speaker 1: Y and you're maybe maybe the only person I've ever
- 3:06Speaker 1: met who has not tried dating app by this age.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Really yeah, I think I'm old fashioned when it comes
- 3:12Speaker 1: to dating. I want someone to approach me in person,
- 3:15Speaker 1: like I mean, we can do a d M as
- 3:17Speaker 1: long as it's followed up by a date. But I
- 3:19Speaker 1: think that I'm so weird about meeting people online and
- 3:22Speaker 1: like starting conversations with people that you have no intention
- 3:25Speaker 1: to write off that that was the worst. I had
- 3:27Speaker 1: no idea how to start those conversations or to continue them. Really,
- 3:31Speaker 1: I'm not I like texting for you know, the convenience sake,
- 3:36Speaker 1: but just texting for the sake of conversation. I don't
- 3:38Speaker 1: really get it. What's the point. I'm like, we'll call me,
- 3:41Speaker 1: let's meet in person, let's set up something, and like
- 3:44Speaker 1: everything is like, let's meet in person. About the meeting
- 3:46Speaker 1: in person? I don't. I don't even like phone calls.
- 3:48Speaker 1: I need FaceTime, okay, I need to see somebody's face
- 3:51Speaker 1: and like really bind their energy exactly. I don't know.
- 3:54Speaker 1: I think personally dating apps aren't for me, but I'm
- 3:56Speaker 1: not going to say, like in the future I won't
- 3:58Speaker 1: do it. But I think that I'm like an in
- 4:00Speaker 1: person person, and I think that the person I'm gonna
- 4:02Speaker 1: end up with is just bold enough to come up
- 4:04Speaker 1: to me and it's like, hey, I want to take
- 4:05Speaker 1: you on a date, or like you're cute. You know,
- 4:09Speaker 1: you think the kind of person that you need to
- 4:10Speaker 1: end up with has to have a personality trait to
- 4:13Speaker 1: do it in real life. I like that that says
- 4:15Speaker 1: a lot. Yes, are you are one of ten siblings?
- 4:22Speaker 1: How is life. Like, honestly, I love it. I'm so
- 4:28Speaker 1: used to it. At this point, I feel like you
- 4:30Speaker 1: have natural born friends versus like people who are like
- 4:34Speaker 1: one or two siblings. Like I just have so many
- 4:36Speaker 1: friends and it's weird, like they're my siblings, but they're
- 4:38Speaker 1: also like my best friends. Yeah, there's one for everything.
- 4:42Speaker 1: And at one point, like we're all living under the
- 4:44Speaker 1: same roof, like we do kind of still to this day,
- 4:48Speaker 1: and it's so nice because you're never alone. Ever. What's
- 4:52Speaker 1: the age range um from like seven two? I think out, Yeah,
- 5:01Speaker 1: it's like a very wide range. But we're also mixed family,
- 5:03Speaker 1: so it's not just like one mom. Okay, ok, it's
- 5:06Speaker 1: not my mom popping out all these kids. That's my
- 5:09Speaker 1: next question, is your mom did this just boom boom
- 5:12Speaker 1: boom boom. No, definitely not. But my mom had five kids,
- 5:15Speaker 1: so I still feel like that's a lot. You have
- 5:16Speaker 1: one kid right now, had five. I don't understand. I
- 5:20Speaker 1: don't even understand two at this point, like I wanted to,
- 5:22Speaker 1: but I just don't understand how you're supposed to live
- 5:24Speaker 1: with two. My my my husband's cousin. I had lunch
- 5:29Speaker 1: here yesterday and she has to like they're like four
- 5:32Speaker 1: and I guess they're like five and three, And I'm like,
- 5:35Speaker 1: I am so confused. How you get out of the
- 5:37Speaker 1: house with all the bags, with all the kids car seats.
- 5:41Speaker 1: It's just crazy. I'll learn one day, I'll figure it out. Yeah,
- 5:45Speaker 1: they say your second child is easier, because I feel
- 5:47Speaker 1: like the second child, you're gonna have the cheetos and
- 5:49Speaker 1: like the you're just gonna throw them at the kid.
- 5:52Speaker 1: You're gonna have one diaper in your pocket. Like that's
- 5:54Speaker 1: what everyone says. The second child is like person now
- 5:55Speaker 1: when you're like preparing the bags exactly. That's so funny. Okay,
- 6:00Speaker 1: besides the guy coming up to you and being bold
- 6:04Speaker 1: enough to say hey to you in your life, what
- 6:07Speaker 1: are some other qualities that you look for in a man.
- 6:10Speaker 1: I think that the first one's emotional maturity. I feel
- 6:14Speaker 1: like men like pretend and put on a front. I
- 6:16Speaker 1: was actually thinking about this today, like there's a lot
- 6:18Speaker 1: of men out here here are like, oh, I'm ready
- 6:20Speaker 1: for relationships, I'm grown, I'm this, I'm that, and then
- 6:23Speaker 1: when it comes down to it, they actually aren't, like
- 6:25Speaker 1: their actions are still of a child. So I think
- 6:28Speaker 1: emotional maturity, being able to communicate honestly is like very
- 6:31Speaker 1: attractive to me. Being vulnerable, hard working, ambitious, funny, down
- 6:37Speaker 1: to earth I like, I think, I want to say,
- 6:39Speaker 1: like I like old fashioned men, Like I don't really
- 6:41Speaker 1: like the men that are like on TikTok and you know,
- 6:44Speaker 1: huge on social media because usually those people like feed
- 6:47Speaker 1: in some things that like the quickness of this world.
- 6:50Speaker 1: I just think I need some like old fashioned like
- 6:52Speaker 1: dates like opening doors, as simple as that is, Like
- 6:55Speaker 1: I feel like that doesn't happen regularly anymore. Is there
- 6:58Speaker 1: a guy from Bachelor, from the Bachelor franchise that you
- 7:02Speaker 1: feel like meets those qualifications if you were to do
- 7:06Speaker 1: Bachelor in Paradise again? I don't know. It's crazy because
- 7:11Speaker 1: I didn't really watch Michelle's season, like obviously, like we
- 7:14Speaker 1: saw Nate like a Nate was one of the guys
- 7:16Speaker 1: that everyone talked about and like Joe, probably because they
- 7:19Speaker 1: made it further. But there's no one right now that
- 7:22Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, Like I have my eye on them necessarily.
- 7:26Speaker 1: I'm sure some of them have equalities, but I can't
- 7:28Speaker 1: like pinpoint one. I always say I wish Tyler Cameron
- 7:31Speaker 1: would come back to the franchise because I feel like
- 7:32Speaker 1: I would just love him, but he's far gone. It's
- 7:36Speaker 1: too bad. He really would have been a great Bachelor
- 7:39Speaker 1: when we did well. Recently, when I was on my
- 7:42Speaker 1: like one week maternity leave, Ben didn't interview with him,
- 7:45Speaker 1: and I listened to that podcast and I was like,
- 7:48Speaker 1: this guy's really got it, and it seems like it
- 7:51Speaker 1: seems like what he's gone through over the past couple
- 7:53Speaker 1: of years, some guys will get jaded by it, you know,
- 7:56Speaker 1: they get conceded and their ego get too big. I
- 8:00Speaker 1: actually feel like maybe the opposite has happened to him.
- 8:02Speaker 1: He's it's been it's been good for him in a
- 8:05Speaker 1: growing process from what I can tell by this interview,
- 8:08Speaker 1: And I was just like, this is the Bachelor that
- 8:10Speaker 1: we need. I feel like he comes off so humble
- 8:14Speaker 1: and like down to earth and cool and like, I
- 8:16Speaker 1: don't know, I've seen the Bachelor franchise like changed people.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Just like how you're saying, like, well, you think that
- 8:21Speaker 1: all the exposure and this and that would have him jaded,
- 8:23Speaker 1: But I think that he comes off very like humble,
- 8:26Speaker 1: down to earth, cool, swaggy. Yeah, yeah, he's got the
- 8:30Speaker 1: swag of the confidence, that's for sure, in addition to
- 8:34Speaker 1: being seeming humble. And I really, um, I don't know,
- 8:39Speaker 1: that's too bad. We got to convince him somewhere or
- 8:42Speaker 1: another to do it, because I do feel like he's
- 8:43Speaker 1: like an old fashioned romantic where like you watched him,
- 8:47Speaker 1: especially in Hannah season, and people were like, oh, baby babies, noises,
- 8:51Speaker 1: and people were like, oh, this guy is just like
- 8:53Speaker 1: knows exactly what move to make. I really think that
- 8:57Speaker 1: maybe he just is truly like that and he's just
- 8:59Speaker 1: one of the rare gym's exactly. Maybe he's just like that,
- 9:02Speaker 1: Like I like genuine people who come off genuinely it's
- 9:05Speaker 1: so easy and naturals. Now, did you watch Clayton season
- 9:09Speaker 1: at all? So? I watched a couple of episodes here
- 9:13Speaker 1: and there, so I generally know, and I was after
- 9:15Speaker 1: the final rose like I was at the actual finale. Yes,
- 9:19Speaker 1: I'm so glad. I went, um, yeah, so I did.
- 9:21Speaker 1: I am a little bit toomed into what happened. What
- 9:24Speaker 1: are your thoughts? I think? So after being there and
- 9:29Speaker 1: watching the finale, I think that I was probably the
- 9:32Speaker 1: only person the crowd that was actually happy that he
- 9:34Speaker 1: found someone and that ended up with Susie. Yeah, I know,
- 9:38Speaker 1: I had a sense of happiness too, and I was
- 9:40Speaker 1: a little bit confused by it, but but in general, like, yes,
- 9:45Speaker 1: my gut instinct was okay, good, I'm glad something good
- 9:48Speaker 1: happened for the two of them. And that's something good
- 9:51Speaker 1: happened after watching all of this train wreck. Absolutely, that's
- 9:55Speaker 1: what I'm saying. So I feel like people were angered, like,
- 9:57Speaker 1: well what about you know, Rachel and Gabby. And I'm like, well,
- 10:00Speaker 1: now they're the bachelorettes. Now they get their chance to
- 10:03Speaker 1: redeem themselves. I feel like that's even Stepien. We're square.
- 10:05Speaker 1: So Susie gets to be happy and they get to
- 10:07Speaker 1: be happy in their own way as well. Yes, okay,
- 10:10Speaker 1: well what do you think about there being two bachelorettes?
- 10:13Speaker 1: How do you how do you feel like this is
- 10:14Speaker 1: going to work out? Uh, Mike Flice, I think there's
- 10:18Speaker 1: a headline. I think one of our headlines today. Oh
- 10:21Speaker 1: yes it is, So we'll just do this headline right now.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Mike fly says the Bachelorette won't pit Rachel and Gabby
- 10:28Speaker 1: against each other. I'll read the deadline article real quick.
- 10:33Speaker 1: The Bachelorette will be making history this summer when it
- 10:35Speaker 1: features not one but two women on Rose duty, but
- 10:39Speaker 1: executive producer Mike Flies seems to be downplaying any possibility
- 10:44Speaker 1: of a pending cat fight between the single ladies. Plays
- 10:48Speaker 1: responded to a fan on Twitter who wondered whether Rachel
- 10:51Speaker 1: and Gabby would be competing against each other in their
- 10:54Speaker 1: quest for love. The tweets said this, I love Gabby
- 10:58Speaker 1: and Rachel, but there's no way this doesn't pit these
- 11:01Speaker 1: two against one another, and and then continue to say
- 11:07Speaker 1: every guy is going to be asked the same question,
- 11:09Speaker 1: who do you like more? Who do you love more?
- 11:13Speaker 1: Who do you like more? Not? And then Fly said
- 11:16Speaker 1: this not true. You'll see uh huh, Okay, I don't know.
- 11:21Speaker 1: So given that information, and we all know that Flies
- 11:27Speaker 1: tweet some things that aren't accurate all the time, or
- 11:33Speaker 1: they're highly opinionated whatnot. But given that, given that sound bites, basically,
- 11:39Speaker 1: what do you think is going to be the method
- 11:41Speaker 1: that they use with the two of them? And this
- 11:44Speaker 1: is something that I've been thinking on because I'm like,
- 11:46Speaker 1: how is it possible that you're going to have two women?
- 11:47Speaker 1: Are they going to have separate dating pools? Like? Are
- 11:50Speaker 1: they going to be bringing in guys? Mid season, you know,
- 11:52Speaker 1: kind of like a Tassia and Clear switch up. How
- 11:55Speaker 1: they brought more guys when it switched over to Tassia. Okay,
- 11:58Speaker 1: are they going to be doing that, like continuously switching
- 12:00Speaker 1: in guys to kind of like brought in the dating
- 12:03Speaker 1: pool for them. I don't see how they potentially can't
- 12:07Speaker 1: be putting against one another because they're making the same guys.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Imagine we both like the same person all of a sudden, Like,
- 12:14Speaker 1: I don't know how they're going to separate that. You
- 12:15Speaker 1: can't you can't influence love in that sense. You can't
- 12:18Speaker 1: influence who they like in that sense. I guess if
- 12:21Speaker 1: I were to brainstorm here, maybe the first couple of weeks,
- 12:26Speaker 1: the guys date them both, and then at a certain
- 12:29Speaker 1: point they have to break off into groups. And then
- 12:32Speaker 1: you're like, okay, you you're just exclusively dating her, and
- 12:36Speaker 1: you're just exclusively dating her, But then how awkward would
- 12:39Speaker 1: it be? And very reminiscent of Caitlin and and britt
- 12:46Speaker 1: if like one girl had a pool of men way
- 12:50Speaker 1: bigger than the other, that would be awkward, That's what
- 12:54Speaker 1: I'm saying. Or I wonder if they kept the guys
- 12:57Speaker 1: coming in like, who do you who would you like
- 12:59Speaker 1: naturally feel yourself going more towards and then they just
- 13:02Speaker 1: naturally have the same amount of guys, Like they just
- 13:05Speaker 1: make sure that they pick an even amount of guys
- 13:06Speaker 1: who would feel like they would naturally go in, and
- 13:08Speaker 1: then when they go in, then decide. I feel like
- 13:11Speaker 1: it's already gonna be split fifty fifty. I don't know.
- 13:14Speaker 1: I don't know how they're going to do it, but
- 13:15Speaker 1: I'm definitely excited to see. This will probably one of
- 13:17Speaker 1: the ones that I'll definitely watch so I can understand
- 13:19Speaker 1: how they're gonna make sure that there's enough guys for
- 13:21Speaker 1: both of the women. Yeah, my sister keeps saying that
- 13:24Speaker 1: she thinks this is gonna be like the rejuvenation of
- 13:27Speaker 1: the Bachelor franchise if they needed, because so many people
- 13:31Speaker 1: are going to be curious as to how they navigate it,
- 13:33Speaker 1: and I think she might be right. Absolutely I agree
- 13:36Speaker 1: with that. All Right, Well, I'm getting all confused now
- 13:40Speaker 1: because we had a Bachelorette season in the fall, so
- 13:44Speaker 1: I'm expecting to go into paradise now, but we're not
- 13:47Speaker 1: going into paradise where you're going into another bachelorette's season,
- 13:51Speaker 1: But one Bachelor in Paradise does come around. What advice
- 13:55Speaker 1: would you give people going on to that season? I
- 13:59Speaker 1: would say keep an open mind. That's like the best
- 14:03Speaker 1: thing that you can do going into Are you talking
- 14:06Speaker 1: about for Paradise, right? Yeah, So for Paradise, keep an
- 14:09Speaker 1: open mind because you'll be very surprised. I think that
- 14:12Speaker 1: the biggest thing in Paradise is dating people that you
- 14:15Speaker 1: wouldn't naturally feel yourself drawn to, like giving people a chance.
- 14:19Speaker 1: That's the whole point of Paradise, is putting yourself in
- 14:21Speaker 1: an environment where you're not going to go for the
- 14:23Speaker 1: person that you normally would instinctively go for. I think
- 14:26Speaker 1: that's the beauty of it. Be really open to those relationships,
- 14:28Speaker 1: because sometimes there's a relationships that work, like truly work.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Who did you do that with? Um? So I found
- 14:36Speaker 1: myself just going out like obviously I was getting to
- 14:39Speaker 1: know Carl and you know, I was getting to know Chasing,
- 14:43Speaker 1: And I don't think that in real life necessarily those
- 14:45Speaker 1: are going to be the first people that I would
- 14:47Speaker 1: have been drawn to. Like if you've had a room
- 14:49Speaker 1: with people and I got to know them and it
- 14:50Speaker 1: was great getting to know them and Unfortunately it didn't
- 14:53Speaker 1: work out, but I love the experience because it still
- 14:55Speaker 1: taught me, you know, keep an open heart, give people
- 14:57Speaker 1: a chance, because you just never know. It might just
- 14:59Speaker 1: be the one. Like look at Thomas and Becca. Who
- 15:02Speaker 1: would have thought? Who would have thought? Who have thought?
- 15:05Speaker 1: Who would have thought? That's all I could say about that.
- 15:07Speaker 1: That's great, that's that's crazy, But I love it. I
- 15:09Speaker 1: love them together and talk about happiness. You know, exactly
- 15:14Speaker 1: who did you tell producers that you wanted to see there?
- 15:18Speaker 1: What's actually hilarious is I think that Brendan was one
- 15:24Speaker 1: of the people I wanted to see there, and I
- 15:25Speaker 1: told them repeatedly. I was like, well, brend did Brendan?
- 15:27Speaker 1: And I didn't know anything about the man. I just
- 15:29Speaker 1: saw like his patron. I was like, oh my gosh,
- 15:30Speaker 1: she's so cute. Other than that, I was pretty much open.
- 15:33Speaker 1: I was like, well, I think, I said Tyler Cameron.
- 15:36Speaker 1: That was like a really just a shot in the dark. Um, yeah,
- 15:40Speaker 1: I think those are the two people. And then other
- 15:41Speaker 1: than that, I was like, I just want to I'm open,
- 15:43Speaker 1: like I don't really necessarily have to see anyone, So yeah,
- 15:47Speaker 1: those are the two people, and it's just funny everything
- 15:49Speaker 1: played out with that that little situation. Yeah, well they're together.
- 15:52Speaker 1: They're together now, aren't they? Right? So together? Do you
- 15:55Speaker 1: keep in touch with either of them? Or was it
- 15:58Speaker 1: really truly that bad of blood? No? I mean I
- 16:03Speaker 1: never knew Piper ever personally in real life, and Brendan
- 16:08Speaker 1: I talked to you like on the first day and
- 16:09Speaker 1: after that. No, So no, I don't happy for them,
- 16:14Speaker 1: Like if they're happy and then good, I'm glad it
- 16:15Speaker 1: actually worked out long term for them like that again,
- 16:18Speaker 1: kind of like a Susie and Clayton situation, like you
- 16:21Speaker 1: want to see people and that together their you're gonna
- 16:23Speaker 1: be together. What about Marissa and Riley? What happened there?
- 16:26Speaker 1: Do you know anything? I mean, as her best friend,
- 16:31Speaker 1: Like I was gonna say, like like I don't pretend
- 16:34Speaker 1: like you don't like really know anything, because like you
- 16:36Speaker 1: may don't want to share, but I'm sure you know
- 16:37Speaker 1: the whole damn story, right, that's her best friend. I mean,
- 16:40Speaker 1: I definitely saw the relationship, but I just don't think
- 16:44Speaker 1: she hasn't really talked about it, so I wouldn't want
- 16:46Speaker 1: to like discuss she wasn't talking about it publicly. Yeah, exactly. Okay, alrighty,
- 16:52Speaker 1: then well after this, we're going to go into a
- 16:57Speaker 1: Bachelor headlines get some of d'andrew's thoughts. But first we've
- 17:02Speaker 1: gotta take a break Bachelor headline time. This one just
- 17:15Speaker 1: came out like an hour ago. Michelle Young to host
- 17:18Speaker 1: Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. Michelle is taking this seat at
- 17:23Speaker 1: the podcasting table. According to The Hollywood Reporter, she will
- 17:28Speaker 1: be co hosting this with Becca Koufrin. She says she's
- 17:33Speaker 1: excited to share her perspective on the franchise and to
- 17:35Speaker 1: keep it real for the passionate fans of Bachelor Nation.
- 17:39Speaker 1: She can't wait to kick it off with Becca next
- 17:42Speaker 1: week and they're going to dive into the twist and
- 17:44Speaker 1: turns of the upcoming seasons together. Her first official episode
- 17:48Speaker 1: of being the co host will be on March twenty two,
- 17:53Speaker 1: which is, uh, well tomorrow Tuesday. Do you think Michelle
- 17:57Speaker 1: is gonna do a good job at podcasting. I feel
- 17:59Speaker 1: like she is going to do an awesome job because
- 18:01Speaker 1: she doesn't really hold back on the opinions, but she
- 18:03Speaker 1: like has it. She gives him a very tactful manner.
- 18:06Speaker 1: You know it won't be too harsh. I agree with that.
- 18:09Speaker 1: I think that she's going to make a great host
- 18:11Speaker 1: for the Bachelor podcast. I think that she's really well spoken,
- 18:14Speaker 1: she has a person there, so I think it's gonna
- 18:16Speaker 1: be perfect. Becca so well spoken, one of those girls
- 18:20Speaker 1: from the franchise where I'm like, could I just be
- 18:22Speaker 1: as articulate and express what I mean as eloquently as
- 18:28Speaker 1: you do? Right, And I'm just here like blah blah blah,
- 18:32Speaker 1: like like, um, it's definitely relatable. But I think I
- 18:37Speaker 1: have a really great dialogue that is also really well spoken.
- 18:41Speaker 1: But Becca has so much personality too, and I love
- 18:43Speaker 1: it because I think that would be like a really
- 18:44Speaker 1: great pair. Definitely all right. Well. In Clayton's big press
- 18:50Speaker 1: tour last week, he said he no longer believes that
- 18:53Speaker 1: he was in love with all three finalists. He says,
- 18:57Speaker 1: looking back at it all, in those moments, I believe
- 19:00Speaker 1: of did I really did believe I was in love
- 19:02Speaker 1: with them when I was there on the show? Um,
- 19:06Speaker 1: But as I've now taken time to reflect and look back,
- 19:09Speaker 1: I believe that I got to the point where I
- 19:11Speaker 1: was falling in love with everyone, but then I got
- 19:13Speaker 1: to the point where I was only in love with Susie. Now,
- 19:18Speaker 1: I only think you can be in love with one person,
- 19:20Speaker 1: but you can fall for many, but you can only
- 19:23Speaker 1: be in love with one. Uh. Then he continued to say,
- 19:28Speaker 1: and that's where I made a mistake. I was confused
- 19:30Speaker 1: on the show. I believed what I would believe, that
- 19:33Speaker 1: I was in love with multiple women. Since then I
- 19:35Speaker 1: realized I don't think I was. I think this was
- 19:38Speaker 1: an inevitable realization. Absolutely. I think that it was funny
- 19:43Speaker 1: because I think it was Gabby after the final rose
- 19:46Speaker 1: that asked Clayton shirt up, like what does love mean
- 19:49Speaker 1: to you with either Gabby or Rebecca or Rachel? Sorry? Um,
- 19:52Speaker 1: that was like, like what is your definition of love?
- 19:54Speaker 1: What does love mean to you? Because love means something
- 19:56Speaker 1: to everybody differently. And he was like, well, I think
- 20:00Speaker 1: that him telling the women that he's falling in love
- 20:02Speaker 1: with him three women. I don't think it's possible to
- 20:03Speaker 1: be in actively in love with more than one person
- 20:07Speaker 1: at a time. But that's just my opinion. What do
- 20:09Speaker 1: you think about that? No? I I also don't I
- 20:11Speaker 1: don't think being in I don't think so. And I
- 20:15Speaker 1: don't even like the expression falling love versus being in love,
- 20:18Speaker 1: which I've said so many times in this podcast, is
- 20:21Speaker 1: such a bachelor ism, Like you would never distinguish between
- 20:25Speaker 1: the two in real life. I feel like in real
- 20:27Speaker 1: life you do. You have like two separate days in
- 20:31Speaker 1: which you're like, hey, guess what girl I'm dating, I'm
- 20:34Speaker 1: falling in love with you, and then like a month later,
- 20:37Speaker 1: you don't say I am in love with you, right?
- 20:39Speaker 1: Don't you just say like I love you? Right? I
- 20:43Speaker 1: think that you can have love for a person be
- 20:45Speaker 1: like this person is amazing, They're great, which is probably
- 20:47Speaker 1: how he felt about Gabby and Rachel, like I think
- 20:49Speaker 1: these people are amazing, like I could potentially love you.
- 20:52Speaker 1: But he was falling in love with Susie, like on
- 20:55Speaker 1: a deeper level totally. So I think that he confused
- 20:58Speaker 1: that feeling and I'm sure it was like pressure for
- 21:00Speaker 1: him to communicate how he felt and he probably didn't
- 21:02Speaker 1: know how to articulate at that time without disappointing them.
- 21:05Speaker 1: But you can't tell You can't tell a woman that
- 21:08Speaker 1: you're falling in love with her and not expect her
- 21:09Speaker 1: to be like, oh my gosh, I'm the one. Yeah.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Well he learned, and that's like the whole thing that
- 21:17Speaker 1: We're really happy for Clayton is that he learned a
- 21:20Speaker 1: lot of things through this season. Absolutely, he's never gonna
- 21:23Speaker 1: forget it. Another Clayton headline which makes me all cringe,
- 21:30Speaker 1: very awkward. Um So, do you remember I don't know
- 21:33Speaker 1: if you watched this episode, but a couple of weeks ago,
- 21:36Speaker 1: Susie and him are doing something on a day and
- 21:38Speaker 1: she said something along the lines of, we're going to
- 21:41Speaker 1: find out if Clayton likes to be choked. Do you
- 21:45Speaker 1: remember this? Um So, I didn't personally watch that episode,
- 21:49Speaker 1: but I've heard about it. Okay, Well, they're kind of
- 21:53Speaker 1: playing on this. There's a picture that has gone viral
- 21:57Speaker 1: now of Clayton in bed with presumably Susie's hand around
- 22:03Speaker 1: his neck, and as everybody is like losing their their
- 22:08Speaker 1: marbles over the photo online, Clayton responds in like up
- 22:14Speaker 1: and down letters like have lower case, have upper case,
- 22:16Speaker 1: as if like he's supposed to be like, oh my god,
- 22:20Speaker 1: it says we literally know nothing about this guy dot
- 22:25Speaker 1: dot dot. Well, now you do? I think that he
- 22:30Speaker 1: played that really well? Okay? He like us to like
- 22:34Speaker 1: make a situation that could potentially be like cringe e.
- 22:39Speaker 1: The response totally putting the picture out there. I don't know.
- 22:43Speaker 1: I don't know. I saw the picture and I thought
- 22:47Speaker 1: it was like a leak, like another woman, like someone
- 22:51Speaker 1: posted a picture and I didn't realize like it's Susie.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Like wait, So I'm not sure if I would have that.
- 23:00Speaker 1: I'm looking at the picture now, so that's why I'm
- 23:01Speaker 1: like looking down. But I see that. I I cringe
- 23:05Speaker 1: an see the humor. At the same time, I've done
- 23:07Speaker 1: so many things publicly that are so cringe. I can't
- 23:11Speaker 1: even speak on behalf of this. This is no cringe
- 23:14Speaker 1: compared to what I've done, So have fun, guys. Uh.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Colton Underwood on advice he'd give Bachelor Clayton Eckert, he says,
- 23:24Speaker 1: just make sure you have a good therapist. My initial
- 23:28Speaker 1: piece of advice, he says, would be to have a
- 23:30Speaker 1: good therapist talk invent to them because unfortunately, in the
- 23:34Speaker 1: position of being a lead on ABC show, especially like
- 23:38Speaker 1: The Bachelor, you can't trust a whole lot of people.
- 23:42Speaker 1: He says, I really hope that Clayton has a good
- 23:44Speaker 1: support system buy him, especially after the show. Hope he's
- 23:46Speaker 1: doing well. I hope all the girls from a season
- 23:48Speaker 1: are in a good place because the show can be
- 23:50Speaker 1: really a really tough place or some people. I mean,
- 23:53Speaker 1: I'd say I think that's probably pretty good advice, absolutely,
- 23:57Speaker 1: especially after a season. I'm again, I'm just a reader, right, Like,
- 24:01Speaker 1: so many people have felt so angry towards Clayton and
- 24:05Speaker 1: like have like given him so much crap and almost
- 24:08Speaker 1: steel bad for the man. I'm like, well, yeah, it
- 24:10Speaker 1: sucks because he kind of put himself in a situation
- 24:12Speaker 1: where he treated certain women a certain way. This is
- 24:14Speaker 1: a response that people want to give him, but at
- 24:16Speaker 1: the end of the day, they have to realize, like
- 24:18Speaker 1: we are humans, Like you have to make mistakes. You
- 24:20Speaker 1: just happen to make ours on national television versus someone
- 24:23Speaker 1: who does this in real life and no one ever
- 24:24Speaker 1: knows about it. I love reminding people of that. It's like, you, guys, please,
- 24:28Speaker 1: if you're on TV dating five plus women, what don't
- 24:35Speaker 1: tell me you wouldn't mess up a many times? Why
- 24:39Speaker 1: I can't even remember three people's names, so imagine having
- 24:41Speaker 1: to remember thirty people's names. Oh, oh my god, it's
- 24:45Speaker 1: so embarrassing. I still forget some of my of Jared's
- 24:49Speaker 1: cousins names, Like I'll be at a family union. I'll
- 24:52Speaker 1: be like Jared, what's that cousin's name again? I know
- 24:56Speaker 1: I've met them five times already, but I don't remember.
- 25:00Speaker 1: I'd be the worst bachelor at this headline is so interesting.
- 25:05Speaker 1: Jason tart I quit his job after Caitlin Bristo talked
- 25:09Speaker 1: about their sex life. Okay, this is juicy stuff, he says.
- 25:15Speaker 1: On a podcast, Caitlin talked about their first hook up,
- 25:18Speaker 1: which in which they were fully clothed. He goes, Caitlin
- 25:21Speaker 1: made a funny confession on one of our podcasts about
- 25:24Speaker 1: the first time we hooked up in which we were
- 25:26Speaker 1: fully It was a fully closed, intimate moment. He's told
- 25:30Speaker 1: page six this. So he said that that reveal put
- 25:36Speaker 1: him in the position where he had to restart his
- 25:40Speaker 1: entire career outside the bank, or he had to restart
- 25:46Speaker 1: his brand within the bank. This is what his boss
- 25:50Speaker 1: said to him. No more social media, no more podcast,
- 25:54Speaker 1: and no more side hustling. Nothing. And so as a
- 25:58Speaker 1: result of that, like ultimatum um, he decided to quit
- 26:02Speaker 1: his job. I mean, yeah, if I were in Jason's
- 26:07Speaker 1: case situation, if I was in Jason's position there, I
- 26:10Speaker 1: would also quit my job because I mean being a
- 26:15Speaker 1: Bachelor's star, and I mean like he was with when
- 26:19Speaker 1: once he was with Caitlin, especially like he had so
- 26:23Speaker 1: many opportunities at his fingertips. Of course he's not with
- 26:25Speaker 1: Caitlin because of that, but just like you know, it
- 26:28Speaker 1: upped his star and his um what is it like
- 26:33Speaker 1: his cloud, right, so he was probably getting more money
- 26:37Speaker 1: offered from all these outside sources, and he was even
- 26:40Speaker 1: getting at his job. I mean, I'm just assuming here.
- 26:43Speaker 1: I just think it's crazy though, because like being in
- 26:45Speaker 1: a corporate position, whenever you're on the Bachelor, like related
- 26:47Speaker 1: to any reality television show, I feel like there comes
- 26:51Speaker 1: a time where it's like you have to choose between
- 26:53Speaker 1: you know, being a part of the show, being a
- 26:55Speaker 1: part of the people of the showing on things, being
- 26:57Speaker 1: a real person, and your job. And like even I
- 27:00Speaker 1: still experience that being in the corporate world. Still, it's
- 27:02Speaker 1: like having like doing podcasts and like talking about personal things.
- 27:05Speaker 1: I'll like hear coworkers talking about them, like it's hard
- 27:08Speaker 1: to separate and at some certain point, like you have
- 27:10Speaker 1: to leave if they're giving you an ultimatum. I don't
- 27:12Speaker 1: think it's fair to be like, hey, be a person
- 27:14Speaker 1: or pick the bank and told him so, I don't
- 27:17Speaker 1: think that's fair, but hey, it wasn't for him, then
- 27:20Speaker 1: yeah it's not. It's not necessarily fair. I guess I
- 27:23Speaker 1: understand where the boss was coming from. I think it
- 27:26Speaker 1: seems harsh the way that he put it. It's kind
- 27:30Speaker 1: of like, I mean, you might know with Riley, right,
- 27:34Speaker 1: if he's a lawyer, and sometimes if like you see
- 27:38Speaker 1: your lawyer's personal life play out on TV, you see
- 27:41Speaker 1: your lawyer sucking whip cream off of his girlfriend's toes,
- 27:46Speaker 1: it is hard to take him seriously in the courtroom,
- 27:48Speaker 1: I would say, or some people that take him seriously.
- 27:52Speaker 1: This is so interesting though, because it's like the same
- 27:54Speaker 1: people who work at a bank or like working corporate
- 27:57Speaker 1: offices once that five o'clock hits and they go home,
- 28:00Speaker 1: are completely different people. And like, yeah, it's not on
- 28:02Speaker 1: national television, but it's like it's the same people you
- 28:03Speaker 1: might see in the clubs are the same people that
- 28:05Speaker 1: might have these alternate because we're all human that it's
- 28:08Speaker 1: so true. It's like, Okay, are you not allowed to
- 28:10Speaker 1: go to a bar? Right? Are you not allowed to
- 28:13Speaker 1: make out with somebody in a bar and be seen
- 28:17Speaker 1: it doesn't make any It makes sense to me, but
- 28:19Speaker 1: it doesn't because at the same time, when it comes
- 28:21Speaker 1: time to be professional, as long as you can be
- 28:22Speaker 1: professional do your job, as long as it's not so
- 28:26Speaker 1: crazy like you're doing illegal things and like harmful things,
- 28:30Speaker 1: it just doesn't really make sense that you have to
- 28:33Speaker 1: like completely shield the rest of your life. And I
- 28:36Speaker 1: enjoy life to be professional. Stone Like, look at Kelly
- 28:38Speaker 1: flant again. I love thee I would trust her to
- 28:41Speaker 1: be my lawyer, and I see exactly and I see
- 28:46Speaker 1: her live her life as a normal person, obviously on
- 28:48Speaker 1: social media, and I would still trust her because when
- 28:50Speaker 1: it comes time to do her job, she's going to
- 28:52Speaker 1: do her job and she's going to do it really well.
- 28:54Speaker 1: That is the best example ever. Thank you DeAndre. That
- 28:57Speaker 1: was That's amazing. I would love Kelly fan In to
- 29:00Speaker 1: be my lawyer. She's a boadass. Yes, alright. Next headline
- 29:14Speaker 1: is not really headlining, but if their information, um, it's
- 29:17Speaker 1: like a fun tidbits. So this is everything you need
- 29:20Speaker 1: to know about New Bachelor at Gabby and everything you
- 29:23Speaker 1: need to know about Rachel. It's not everything we need
- 29:25Speaker 1: to know, but that's the headline from people Okay. First off,
- 29:29Speaker 1: Gabby bullet point number one was an NFL cheerleader. She's
- 29:34Speaker 1: actually an Illinois native, but she considers Denver her home
- 29:39Speaker 1: after moving there when you know, moving there permanently after
- 29:43Speaker 1: graduating from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. She's professionally
- 29:49Speaker 1: cheered for the broncos Um. Gabby works as a nurse.
- 29:54Speaker 1: She's an ic you nurse, and she's a history making
- 29:57Speaker 1: when they said because she was honored for her work
- 29:59Speaker 1: as a regis their nurse during the COVID nineteen pandemic
- 30:03Speaker 1: and became the first woman to receive the Pop Warner
- 30:07Speaker 1: Humanitarian Award in I don't know about that award, but
- 30:13Speaker 1: it sounds like she's also a badass. Right, Let's say
- 30:19Speaker 1: this is an interesting tidbit and now and now that
- 30:23Speaker 1: I read this headline last night, I was like, wait
- 30:25Speaker 1: a second, is this Gabby did he? This is going
- 30:30Speaker 1: to rock Batchelor nations world if they're not already aware
- 30:32Speaker 1: of it. She dated dated quote quote Blake and Dean
- 30:39Speaker 1: Dean Ungler Black Horseman. But the thing is he didn't
- 30:42Speaker 1: really date Blake. She said that like she like she goes,
- 30:45Speaker 1: there were no there was no actual dates. There were
- 30:49Speaker 1: no drinks paid for, no dinner paid for. He's definitely
- 30:53Speaker 1: friends with the friends. We spent time together, but no
- 30:56Speaker 1: official dating, no exclusivity. However, on the other side of this, Dean,
- 31:04Speaker 1: she dated dated over ten years ago, was one of
- 31:08Speaker 1: her first loves. Said, it was so long ago. It's
- 31:12Speaker 1: a distant past from my experience on The Bachelor. But
- 31:16Speaker 1: now then I started thinking about it when Dean and
- 31:20Speaker 1: I would hang out all the time before we had
- 31:23Speaker 1: our respective significant others, and I feel like I remembered
- 31:28Speaker 1: him talking about a Gabby. Now. May be starting rumors now,
- 31:31Speaker 1: but I feel like this was like a girl that
- 31:34Speaker 1: he had mentioned from his past a lot. You know
- 31:37Speaker 1: what's craziest. I feel like Chris Jenner works hard, but
- 31:40Speaker 1: the Bachelor franchise works harder. Seriously, We're up there absolutely
- 31:46Speaker 1: because finding Gabby, who dated Dean, I know, over ten
- 31:50Speaker 1: years ago, and then honestly, that's it's it's crazy. But
- 31:55Speaker 1: it's like with the whole you know Blake situation, it's like, well,
- 31:59Speaker 1: because you're everyone stated Blake, but just because you're seeing
- 32:06Speaker 1: with someone doesn't mean that you're dating. Right. Maybe they
- 32:08Speaker 1: went hung out, he didn't buy her drinks, It buy
- 32:11Speaker 1: her food. That's probably why they're not dating. Um, She's like,
- 32:15Speaker 1: that's I don't know. She's like, we had a moment
- 32:18Speaker 1: not at Stagecoach, but Coachella, and that's a whole other thing.
- 32:23Speaker 1: That was a joke. Okay, now everything you need to
- 32:28Speaker 1: know about Rachel Now, I want this tidbit to be
- 32:30Speaker 1: um clarified a little bit. Says she's a flight instructor
- 32:33Speaker 1: and a commercial pilot. But I thought that she was
- 32:36Speaker 1: in training. I thought that, like on her bio said
- 32:40Speaker 1: that she was in training. So we're gonna have to
- 32:41Speaker 1: find out about that. She's originally from Chicago, um, although
- 32:46Speaker 1: Florida is where she calls home now. Um, but she
- 32:51Speaker 1: still roots for like all the Chicago teams. Then, her
- 32:55Speaker 1: all time favorite snack is a flaming hot cheetos. I
- 33:00Speaker 1: love super interesting fact that is also Dean's favorite food.
- 33:05Speaker 1: So I mean, look at Dean popping up so much
- 33:08Speaker 1: with all these ladies. Literally, Rachel is a huge Harry
- 33:13Speaker 1: Potter fan, and she was also a cheerleader, although she
- 33:16Speaker 1: didn't cheer professionally, she um cheered for Ohio University, where
- 33:20Speaker 1: she attended school. All right, last headline Bachelor's Susie Evans
- 33:26Speaker 1: shares how she deals with hateful social media comments. She says,
- 33:32Speaker 1: picture this. I get a notification that someone tagged me
- 33:35Speaker 1: in a hateful comment. I go to their page to
- 33:38Speaker 1: block and see follow back. Uh yeah, you don't get
- 33:42Speaker 1: to both following me and harass me, she says. I
- 33:47Speaker 1: think that that is so funny. What is with people?
- 33:51Speaker 1: That's always what it is? Like you're you're never getting
- 33:54Speaker 1: the hate comments from somebody who doesn't follow you. What's
- 33:58Speaker 1: crazy is I feel like it's almost like they just
- 33:59Speaker 1: want your attention. So like whenever someone sends a hate
- 34:02Speaker 1: message and this is like even happens to me previously,
- 34:04Speaker 1: once I respond, it's, oh my gosh, I'm so sorry,
- 34:07Speaker 1: Like I never meant it that way. Like it's almost
- 34:09Speaker 1: like a cry for attention, because who goes out of
- 34:11Speaker 1: their way to harass when they don't even know? Yeah
- 34:13Speaker 1: do you know me? You follow me? You don't even know? Right?
- 34:17Speaker 1: Fifty percent at the time, the person will either delete
- 34:19Speaker 1: the comment or they'll say something like that. Right, In
- 34:23Speaker 1: a sense, it doesn't make any sense. And we live
- 34:25Speaker 1: in a world where we're so desensitized by social media
- 34:28Speaker 1: that we forget that we're real people. If you would
