- 0:02Speaker 1: I don't know's you're aware of this, but it's graduation
- 0:06Speaker 1: season for a lot of kids.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Oh yes, I have all these friends on social media,
- 0:10Speaker 2: and even like some coworkers here who are posting all
- 0:12Speaker 2: the pictures of their kids. We're graduating high school, which
- 0:16Speaker 2: is wild because you follow people on social media, right,
- 0:19Speaker 2: and it's like, I remember when Tommy was just a tugger.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Right now they're yeah, but now they're graduating, and like,
- 0:27Speaker 2: it's wild. By the way, graduates high school graduates this year.
- 0:32Speaker 2: They were born in two thousand seven.
- 0:36Speaker 3: But no, and you say that, it just hurts my soul.
- 0:38Speaker 2: I know, doesn't that make you feel so old?
- 0:40Speaker 1: Two thousand and seven I had had on January first
- 0:43Speaker 1: of two thousand and seven, I had had my driver's
- 0:46Speaker 1: license for about twenty five days.
- 0:48Speaker 3: At that point.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Wow, insane. Two thousand and seven, I would have been
- 0:55Speaker 1: a either a sophomore or junior, depending on the year
- 1:00Speaker 1: in high school.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, you were still in high school. Oh sorry,
- 1:07Speaker 2: I'm slightly older than you, but not by much.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:11Speaker 2: In two thousand and seven, I was dating this tall,
- 1:15Speaker 2: lanky boy with a really spiky hair who I had
- 1:18Speaker 2: no business dating because he was such a loser. He
- 1:22Speaker 2: later went on to run my phone bill up to
- 1:24Speaker 2: one thousand dollars because he was mad at me. Anyway,
- 1:27Speaker 2: what oh I said, I was in I had my
- 1:31Speaker 2: first job because I didn't work through high school. I
- 1:35Speaker 2: had my first job. Gosh, I just was an adult
- 1:39Speaker 2: that was like a baby adult.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Yeah, well I looked.
- 1:42Speaker 1: I found this list of some of the most popular
- 1:45Speaker 1: things in like pop culture in two thousand and seven.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Wait until you hear this list.
- 1:51Speaker 1: This will either make you go down a memory lane
- 1:54Speaker 1: trip or break your heart in half, matey, most likely
- 1:58Speaker 1: a little bit of both. H one of the most
- 2:01Speaker 1: popular songs in two thousand and seven, I have a
- 2:04Speaker 1: couple for you, actually, Rihanna Umbrella under my Umbarella la la.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, Yes that was We would like turn
- 2:15Speaker 2: that up in the car so loud while we were
- 2:17Speaker 2: driving the streets.
- 2:18Speaker 3: Yes, souldja boy, tell them crank that.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Oh I I still can't do that dance game. Really no,
- 2:28Speaker 2: I can't.
- 2:28Speaker 1: All right, Well, what about these movies some of the
- 2:31Speaker 1: most popular movies in two thousand and seven. The reason
- 2:33Speaker 1: we bring this up is for anyone graduating this year
- 2:36Speaker 1: in his graduation season in the FM area. They were
- 2:39Speaker 1: born in two thousand and seven or right around there.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Some of the most popular movies here Transformers. Do you
- 2:47Speaker 1: remember when that wasn't a transfer?
- 2:49Speaker 2: The very first one?
- 2:50Speaker 3: Yeah? Do you remember when that was?
- 2:52Speaker 1: It was just so massive before I kind of went
- 2:55Speaker 1: on longer and it should have been. All the movies
- 2:56Speaker 1: flop now, but at one point the biggest movie in
- 3:00Speaker 1: the world that for forms.
- 3:02Speaker 3: I saw that in theaters with some buddies.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I wanted to be and maybe it still do be.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Megan Fox, Yeah, I don't.
- 3:10Speaker 3: I don't blame you.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Right. We had Harry Potter and The Order of the
- 3:14Speaker 1: Phoenix come out that year, which is the fifth Harry
- 3:18Speaker 1: Potter movie.
- 3:19Speaker 3: And for those of you who don't know.
- 3:20Speaker 2: That's wild that they were what too much time has passed? Game?
- 3:25Speaker 2: Too much time has passed?
- 3:27Speaker 1: And then here is my last one for you. This
- 3:29Speaker 1: is the one that breaks your heart. The iPhone, the
- 3:32Speaker 1: first generation released in two thousand and seven, revolutionizing smartphones.
- 3:38Speaker 1: The iPhone came out the year that these graduates were born.
- 3:43Speaker 2: That is wild to me. What iPhone do you have?
- 3:47Speaker 3: I think the thirteen what's the newest one? I don't
- 3:50Speaker 3: have to.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Think we're iPhone sixteen.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Yeah, point right, and it's like two years old or
- 3:54Speaker 1: something because we just paid it off.
- 3:56Speaker 3: The other day.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Well, I'm trying to stay young, so I have an
- 3:58Speaker 2: iPhone ten.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Today's arriety big ninety eight point seven. Good morning.
- 4:05Speaker 1: It's gaben Angie mo or partly sunny today, excuse me,
- 4:08Speaker 1: and a high of seventy three. There is a slight
- 4:11Speaker 1: little chance for some rain this afternoon. But overall, I
- 4:13Speaker 1: think we have a pretty good Tuesday for us here,
- 4:15Speaker 1: which is gonna be really tough for me to remember
- 4:17Speaker 1: to say today because it's not Monday.
- 4:20Speaker 2: That's right.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Today is Tuesday, which in and of itself is a
- 4:23Speaker 1: little victory.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:27Speaker 3: Well, ANGI three day weekend.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Did you do you have any little victories from over
- 4:31Speaker 1: the weekend. Maybe you have more than one you want
- 4:33Speaker 1: to share. That's a long time to be chilling at home,
- 4:35Speaker 1: That is true.
- 4:36Speaker 2: There's one that sticks out. My car is so clean,
- 4:42Speaker 2: really like the full like the detailing, but I mean
- 4:47Speaker 2: it's so clear, it's so shiny. In fact, I usually
- 4:50Speaker 2: park inside the garage, but I am in the driveway
- 4:53Speaker 2: because it was just so shiny. I wanted the sun
- 4:56Speaker 2: to reflect off the car so that everybody could see
- 5:00Speaker 2: how dazzlingly clean wow my car was. To be fair,
- 5:03Speaker 2: I didn't do it. My boyfriend Mike is in town
- 5:08Speaker 2: and he and my little one Liam cleaned the car
- 5:13Speaker 2: and I was there to supervise. AKA B Like, you're
- 5:15Speaker 2: done spraying now, Liam, you're done spraying. But yeah, it's
- 5:19Speaker 2: I'm very excited. The inside smells like some sort of
- 5:22Speaker 2: a lavender dream. I felt really good about it. Wow,
- 5:26Speaker 2: how long would it last? Who knows.
- 5:28Speaker 1: When I was a kid, my favorite part of helping
- 5:30Speaker 1: my dad clean the car was the floor mats is
- 5:35Speaker 1: the most dirty, but they're like the easiest to clean.
- 5:37Speaker 1: You can just spray them off and like hit them
- 5:39Speaker 1: with some soap and then I feel like, make the
- 5:41Speaker 1: biggest impact.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, I agree with you. Liam was obsessed
- 5:46Speaker 2: with cleaning the floor mats. So maybe it's just an
- 5:50Speaker 2: eight year old boy thing.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Well, I love how you got this nice, shiny car
- 5:54Speaker 1: and then you wanted to let it sit out in
- 5:56Speaker 1: the sun.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Yeah, listen counter to them.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Well, I'm glad you have an ice clean car.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Thank you. What's your what's your little victory game?
- 6:06Speaker 1: My little victory just in and of itself, I got
- 6:09Speaker 1: to hang out with my one year old niece over
- 6:12Speaker 1: the weekend. We had someone from Winona, Minnesota, make the
- 6:16Speaker 1: six hour drive to come visit.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Oh.
- 6:18Speaker 1: I love that she brought little Jocelyn and we got
- 6:21Speaker 1: to hang out with her and watch her terrorize my
- 6:23Speaker 1: cats for three days.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Oh that's right.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I think when they left yesterday, the cats were pretty
- 6:31Speaker 1: pretty happy.
- 6:32Speaker 3: They could take a.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Breath, you know, And you have this one year old
- 6:35Speaker 1: who loves cats.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Oh, so she loves cats. It was like it wasn't
- 6:40Speaker 2: that she hated them and was torturing them. She just
- 6:42Speaker 2: was like killing them with her affection.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Yeah. And you're trying to let her know, like you
- 6:46Speaker 1: gotta pet them gentle, like, yeah, don't grab onto their.
- 6:49Speaker 3: Tail, right, But it's so flashy.
- 6:53Speaker 1: And it's like, you know, I don't really feel bad
- 6:55Speaker 1: for the cats, to be honest. You could get away,
- 6:58Speaker 1: Oh get away if you really don't like it that much.
- 7:01Speaker 1: So but either way, it was just really fun to
- 7:03Speaker 1: see her and have her be around. It was really
- 7:05Speaker 1: really cool.
- 7:06Speaker 2: I love that. Did that give you baby fever at all? No?
- 7:08Speaker 1: That did the opposite, A complete, complete opposite. She's naughty
- 7:14Speaker 1: but boast malone is coming up, and so's the tea,
- 7:23Speaker 1: and we have a sorry not sorry for you here
- 7:26Speaker 1: this morning. And it is something I am dealing with
- 7:29Speaker 1: as we speak. All Right, I love me a good wedding.
- 7:33Speaker 1: They are so fun. It is a room just full
- 7:36Speaker 1: of people who really are happy for a couple people.
- 7:40Speaker 1: There's so much just joy and love in the air.
- 7:43Speaker 1: There's party and there's dancing. There's visiting people you haven't
- 7:47Speaker 1: seen in a while. But is nothing, nothing that will
- 7:52Speaker 1: ruin that moment, like being in the damn thing.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Being in a wedding is so overrated.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Now I am lucky, and this is the most promiscuous, presumptuous.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Presumptuous, just keep talking and I'll tell you which one
- 8:08Speaker 2: it is.
- 8:09Speaker 1: This is the most arrogant thing. Being in weddings really
- 8:14Speaker 1: can be a nightmare. It's just it costs so much money,
- 8:19Speaker 1: and you have to Now, I love the people whose
- 8:22Speaker 1: weddings I have lucky enough God to be it.
- 8:25Speaker 3: I really truly do, from the bottom of my heart.
- 8:28Speaker 1: But bro, can I if I'm gonna be like the
- 8:31Speaker 1: sixth person?
- 8:31Speaker 3: Can I just sit this one out?
- 8:33Speaker 2: Okay?
- 8:34Speaker 3: I want to be a star player. I want to
- 8:37Speaker 3: just be a guy. You don't want to just be.
- 8:39Speaker 2: A guy walking someone down, because at that.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Point it's like, then I don't have to go through
- 8:43Speaker 3: all the the hooplah. I'd just rather show up and
- 8:47Speaker 3: have fun, you know what I'm saying.
- 8:49Speaker 2: So if you're not the what is that called on
- 8:53Speaker 2: the guy side? Oh, if you're not the best man,
- 8:55Speaker 2: then you don't want it.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Okay, I'm just saying it is not as cracked up.
- 9:02Speaker 3: As it is to be.
- 9:03Speaker 1: I know people who have said, you know, I really
- 9:05Speaker 1: would like to be in a wedding, and to me,
- 9:07Speaker 1: it's awesome. You should do it one time if you're
- 9:09Speaker 1: lucky enough to get to do it, right. Yeah, it's
- 9:11Speaker 1: like you know, when you're twenty one, you gotta go
- 9:13Speaker 1: to Vegas once. Yeah, you know, you gotta do it
- 9:15Speaker 1: one time. Being in a wedding once is great. But
- 9:18Speaker 1: when you get up there and you're just kind of
- 9:22Speaker 1: want to enjoy the day, it's just not the same
- 9:26Speaker 1: as when you gotta do all these photos and you
- 9:29Speaker 1: gotta sit around and wait and hurry up and wait
- 9:32Speaker 1: and hurry up and wait, and you got to pick
- 9:34Speaker 1: out this outfit and go to measuring things like you're
- 9:37Speaker 1: you're in seem it's just the worst here in sea
- 9:41Speaker 1: and the length of your arms, it really is.
- 9:44Speaker 2: You know what, gab Oh, God forbid, you have a
- 9:47Speaker 2: lot of friends.
- 9:48Speaker 1: No, I know it is. It sounds super super arrogant,
- 9:51Speaker 1: and it is. But I'm just saying it's not all
- 9:55Speaker 1: that it's cracked up to be, is what I'm saying.
- 9:57Speaker 1: All Right, Well, is fun and I love my buddy
- 10:00Speaker 1: who's getting married coming up in September. Oh my gosh,
- 10:05Speaker 1: I love this dude truly from the bottom of my heart.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Are you the best man?
- 10:10Speaker 3: He even close? Oh?
- 10:12Speaker 2: Okay, well I hope he didn't.
- 10:14Speaker 3: It's not even the sixth man off the bench. Oh man,
- 10:18Speaker 3: I'm like a tenth man role player.
- 10:21Speaker 2: All right, tell him to skip this show today.
- 10:24Speaker 1: I'm sorry, but I'm not sorry. We did have something
- 10:30Speaker 1: here for the scripts spelling Bee, but that's a week
- 10:33Speaker 1: long thing. I think we can talk about that tomorrow.
- 10:35Speaker 3: Angie. Can we dive into the conversation you just had
- 10:37Speaker 3: with your son?
- 10:38Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, this is the most relatable parenting moment
- 10:42Speaker 1: I've ever seen. And watching you try to hang on
- 10:47Speaker 1: before completely losing it, I'll be I wanted to get
- 10:51Speaker 1: the popcorn ready.
- 10:52Speaker 3: I was ready for some fireworks this.
- 10:54Speaker 2: I cannot be the only parent who is struggling with this.
- 10:58Speaker 2: In the last two weeks of school. My kids have
- 11:00Speaker 2: two weeks of school left.
- 11:02Speaker 3: All days or eight days, because both.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Are four day weeks. Okay, So like, I just need
- 11:07Speaker 2: you to go to school. But I get a call
- 11:09Speaker 2: from Aiden, who's my older he's almost fifteen, and he
- 11:13Speaker 2: helps get his little brother ready in the morning to
- 11:15Speaker 2: send him off to school.
- 11:16Speaker 3: What a sweet what a sweet kid?
- 11:18Speaker 2: Yes, he's the absolute best. And then the little one
- 11:21Speaker 2: is a demon. No, he did not want to get
- 11:24Speaker 2: Aiden called and I'm like, hello, Like I clearly, I'm
- 11:28Speaker 2: at work. I'm here doing this job.
- 11:29Speaker 3: Can hear me at work?
- 11:30Speaker 2: Yes, exactly, And so he's like, he's not getting up.
- 11:34Speaker 2: He said he's tired and he's just done with school.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Bro, what I respect it.
- 11:39Speaker 2: No, of course you would, Gabe, No, you can't be
- 11:42Speaker 2: done with school. So I was like, I don't know,
- 11:44Speaker 2: tell him, and I'm you're right, I do. Try to
- 11:47Speaker 2: keep my patience. I'm not trying to yell at my kid,
- 11:49Speaker 2: right and then send him off to school and expect
- 11:51Speaker 2: him to have a good day.
- 11:52Speaker 3: Right.
- 11:53Speaker 2: I'm trying to be nice, calm mom, except for I'm
- 11:56Speaker 2: looking at the clock. I know when the bus arrives,
- 11:58Speaker 2: and so like, we don't got time. Okay, we don't
- 12:01Speaker 2: have time. So then Liam is on the phone. I'm like, listen, buddy,
- 12:05Speaker 2: you have to go to school because we were gonna
- 12:07Speaker 2: do a fun thing after school today. What fun thing?
- 12:10Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm lying at this point because I'm
- 12:12Speaker 2: just trying to get my kid. I cannot be the
- 12:14Speaker 2: only one. Parents. What are you doing to bribe your
- 12:17Speaker 2: kids to finish out the last.
- 12:20Speaker 3: Couple of weeks of school? They motivated for eight more?
- 12:22Speaker 2: N Yes, I'm struggling over here. And he he conceded
- 12:27Speaker 2: and was like, we'll do something fun and I was like, yeah,
- 12:30Speaker 2: we will. Okay, Well, now he's getting I hope he's
- 12:35Speaker 2: on the way to school. He should be on the
- 12:37Speaker 2: bus as we speak. I don't know. I'll find out.
- 12:39Speaker 2: I guess when I go home. But you know what
- 12:42Speaker 2: gave You're right it was I was on the struggle bus.
- 12:46Speaker 2: It is trying to keep it together.
- 12:48Speaker 1: It is so funny watching like Angie while she's on
- 12:52Speaker 1: the phone with her older son, being like, okay, put
- 12:54Speaker 1: him on the phone and watching like one, I start
- 12:59Speaker 1: to twitch as you as you keep your calm, gentle
- 13:03Speaker 1: mom voice because I get to hear all the conversations
- 13:06Speaker 1: after the phone.
- 13:07Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, man, what a throwback song right now?
- 13:19Speaker 2: Yeah, most hated song on YouTube for a while.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Yes, oh yeah, but it's a bop.
- 13:25Speaker 2: It's a hit.
- 13:26Speaker 3: Yes, I totally agree with that.
- 13:28Speaker 1: What was the most incredible thing you did, or your wife,
- 13:32Speaker 1: obviously your girlfriend or whatever did while pregnant? Did you
- 13:36Speaker 1: hear about this lady who I don't even know how
- 13:40Speaker 1: this is possible. She completed like a triathlon or something
- 13:45Speaker 1: while pregnant, and during one of the I don't know
- 13:48Speaker 1: if it was she did this whole running I'm not
- 13:50Speaker 1: sure if that how that would even work, but did
- 13:53Speaker 1: like she breastfed while she was doing this whole thing.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Wait, so she's pregnant and was breastfeeding another baby?
- 13:59Speaker 1: Yeah, something like that. Ah, crazy doing this triathlon?
- 14:04Speaker 2: Okay, Well I did something incredible while I was pregnant,
- 14:07Speaker 2: but very opposite to what this woman did. Because I
- 14:11Speaker 2: want to pie eating contests.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Now, That's what I'm talking about. That is more my style.
- 14:16Speaker 2: When I was nine months pregnant. I want a pie
- 14:19Speaker 2: eating contest on the local news for pieing. Yeah, I
- 14:24Speaker 2: think that's awesome. I had to eat the pie with
- 14:26Speaker 2: my hands behind my back. It was a great achievement.
- 14:31Speaker 2: And then like not long after I popped out the baby.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Good for you, thank you.
- 14:36Speaker 1: Yeah, it's I don't know, it's just incredible to me,
- 14:39Speaker 1: the things that ladies are able to do while pregnant.
- 14:42Speaker 1: I get so nervous around pregnant women because for two things.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Number one, I'm afraid they're gonna fall and like burst
- 14:49Speaker 1: like a balloon. You know, all balloon's popping. I know
- 14:51Speaker 1: that's not how it works, but I got that image
- 14:54Speaker 1: in my head when I was younger, and I've never
- 14:56Speaker 1: been able to get that out of my head.
- 14:59Speaker 3: I guess I think I do.
- 15:00Speaker 2: You have some advice for you around pregnant women. Never
- 15:03Speaker 2: ask a woman if she's pregnant, even if she's crowning, Like,
- 15:08Speaker 2: never assume that she's pregnant.
- 15:11Speaker 1: I thought you were gonna say, like, just make sure
- 15:13Speaker 1: you always have a jar of pickles, handy.
- 15:15Speaker 2: No, just pretend that you don't know sure that she's pregnant.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Five and five seven oh one sorry, seven oh one
- 15:21Speaker 1: two eight zero one nine eight seven. Was it you
- 15:24Speaker 1: or maybe your girlfriend or just someone you know who
- 15:27Speaker 1: did something really cool while they were pregnant. Let us
- 15:29Speaker 1: know here this morning on Big ninety eight point seven,
- 15:31Speaker 1: we do have Gloria on the phone.
- 15:33Speaker 3: Gloria, what's up?
- 15:34Speaker 1: My cousin closed a major business deal on a zoom call.
- 15:38Speaker 3: While having contrassion. She didn't even plain until the meeting ended.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Then it was her fourth kid.
- 15:45Speaker 1: What a beast that lady is about her business. Yeah,
- 15:48Speaker 1: I love that in more ways than what.
- 15:50Speaker 3: Oh, you know what.
- 15:51Speaker 2: The girl from Anganto, that Disney movie in Ganto, the
- 15:55Speaker 2: main girl in the movie, she Beatrice something. I wish
- 15:59Speaker 2: I remember her name, But what I do remember is
- 16:01Speaker 2: that one of the songs that she sings in the movie,
- 16:05Speaker 2: she sang while in labor, really yeap in labor, and
- 16:10Speaker 2: she's like, I really got a Disney Studios is paying
- 16:12Speaker 2: for this session.
- 16:13Speaker 3: I have to get that song out, Tanner. What about
- 16:16Speaker 3: you meant? My wife and I are expecting our third child,
- 16:19Speaker 3: and I.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Don't know if it's amazing, but she had our two
- 16:23Speaker 2: girls paint her stomach like an egg her Easter this year.
- 16:26Speaker 3: It was a lot of fun.
- 16:27Speaker 2: That's right. That's cute.
- 16:29Speaker 1: That's one, you know, one of that I think unique
- 16:32Speaker 1: things about being pregnant during Halloween.
- 16:34Speaker 3: You can always do the pumpkin.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Yes, seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Did you or someone you know or just anybody do
- 16:42Speaker 1: something that was pretty darn cool while they were pregnant?
- 16:45Speaker 3: Let us know?
- 16:46Speaker 1: Here a big ninety eight point seven. So that's what
- 16:56Speaker 1: a bunch of people at a hotel thought about you, Angie.
- 16:58Speaker 1: What exactly?
- 17:01Speaker 2: So my boyfriend Mike is in town and he's staying
- 17:05Speaker 2: in a hotel in downtown Fargo, and I work really early, Gabe,
- 17:11Speaker 2: I'm here for this show that's very early in the morning.
- 17:15Speaker 2: But I wanted to see him before work because I
- 17:18Speaker 2: love him. Yes, So to get to see him before work,
- 17:23Speaker 2: I ended up going to his hotel at three in
- 17:27Speaker 2: the morning. Sure, And I feel like that looks a
- 17:31Speaker 2: little suspect to be arriving at a hotel at three
- 17:35Speaker 2: in the morning where a gentleman comes down and picks
- 17:39Speaker 2: you up in the lobby and then brings you up
- 17:43Speaker 2: and then you're there for an hour and then he
- 17:46Speaker 2: walks you back down.
- 17:47Speaker 3: Yeah, And I.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Thought, you know what, I think, maybe I look like
- 17:53Speaker 2: I'm a lady of the night because I also had
- 17:56Speaker 2: my big black bag that I carried to work. I
- 17:59Speaker 2: had with me just to finish getting ready, because I
- 18:03Speaker 2: didn't get ready when I had initially left. But then
- 18:06Speaker 2: I thought, great, these people also think I brought my
- 18:08Speaker 2: bag of tricks with me for this encounter, and I
- 18:12Speaker 2: just felt so weird. So I did make sure when.
- 18:18Speaker 1: I was gonna ask, did you do anything to try
- 18:20Speaker 1: to help your cause? Did you not make eye contact
- 18:22Speaker 1: with anyone on the way out or what?
- 18:23Speaker 2: Well, when he brought me back downstairs, I said, it'll
- 18:27Speaker 2: be three hundred dollars certain, No, no, I very much,
- 18:31Speaker 2: because they really were staring at us. It was the
- 18:33Speaker 2: night crew, and it did look very We were the
- 18:36Speaker 2: only ones there.
- 18:37Speaker 3: No one around.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Yeah, you're looking for some action exactly.
- 18:41Speaker 2: So I did say, oh, okay, and then when I
- 18:44Speaker 2: get off work, I'll pick you up and we will
- 18:47Speaker 2: make our target run. Like I made sure to say
- 18:49Speaker 2: it really loud, because who's going to take their lady
- 18:52Speaker 2: of the night to a target run?
- 18:54Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah.
- 18:54Speaker 2: So just to whoever saw me in that hotel at
- 18:59Speaker 2: three in the morning, I was just visiting my boyfriend.
- 19:02Speaker 3: You were not there? On business.
- 19:04Speaker 2: No, No, I was not there.
- 19:07Speaker 3: You're there for love.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, I like that, which they thought was my business.
- 19:12Speaker 1: But no, and I love this Gabe's good News of
- 19:21Speaker 1: the Day story just because the way I picture it
- 19:24Speaker 1: in my brain.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Okay, paint the picture for me, Gab.
- 19:27Speaker 1: It's like Jason Bourne or something. Okay, all right, there's
- 19:31Speaker 1: a and the story starts off not great. But there's
- 19:33Speaker 1: a thirteen year old girl in California who beat up
- 19:37Speaker 1: a grown man who tried to attack her.
- 19:40Speaker 3: It happened earlier this month. Now.
- 19:43Speaker 1: What happened was she was walking home from school when
- 19:46Speaker 1: this guy jumped out from between two cars and tried
- 19:49Speaker 1: to punch her.
- 19:50Speaker 3: What supposedly, this dude failed.
- 19:54Speaker 1: She knows how to handle herself because she's been taking
- 19:57Speaker 1: jiu jitsu for years. Oh, I loved her jiu jitsu
- 20:01Speaker 1: teacher said. She punched him, got this dude in a headlock,
- 20:05Speaker 1: need him a couple of times, spun him around, and
- 20:07Speaker 1: threw him to the ground. And at some point during
- 20:10Speaker 1: all of that, she stomped on his foot and actually
- 20:13Speaker 1: broke his ankle.
- 20:14Speaker 3: Oh my gosh. Yes, she ran home, wasn't hurt.
- 20:18Speaker 1: The guy was gone by the time the cops got there,
- 20:21Speaker 1: but they are on the hunt for him right now.
- 20:23Speaker 1: So there seems to be no better prepared thirteen year
- 20:27Speaker 1: old for that moment than this girl.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Yes, I love that. Good for her girl power. This
- 20:33Speaker 2: makes my heart really happy.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Yeah, and you know, I'm not necessarily a big violence
- 20:37Speaker 1: kind of guy, but at that point, you do whatever
- 20:39Speaker 1: you gotta do to get out of You bite, you claw,
- 20:42Speaker 1: you stomp, you do what you have to do. And
- 20:45Speaker 1: I just think that's so cool that she, now, for
- 20:46Speaker 1: the rest of her life, can say she'd beat up
- 20:49Speaker 1: a grown man. That's right, That's wonderful. The world is
- 20:51Speaker 1: full of nice people. If you can't find one, you
- 20:54Speaker 1: gotta be one.
