- M2: Hello everyone and welcome back to another episode of Sister Sisters. M1: Welcome back. M2: Me and Mouselit A, who is here on this episode, just got back from our honeymoon, and we are going to be sharing everything we did, experienced, some funny stories, some pits and peaches. M1: Even some things that I literally haven't heard yet. M2: We yeah, we did a lot. We surfed, we hiked, we met Olumel, we bought so much merchandise, merch we went to Disneyland in a huge heat wave and so much more. M1: We have so much to talk about, so let's get into it. When I say we have so M2: Can I start off M1: much to talk about, I was gonna say I feel like we truly have so much to talk about. M2: No, literally, we have so much I mean, if you guys want to hear us talk even more, we just did a thirty two minute episode for Patreons for a pit and peach crew talking about some kind of insane stories. M1: And it's it's nine PM as the time of recording and I'm strapping in for this to be another like two hours. Like this list of things that we have to talk about is so long. M2: Okay, that's not happening. I no, okay. I listened to the episode yesterday and today that you and Mouselit Three recorded. I put some thoughts on our story today. but I had a lot of thoughts. Do you want to hear them? Did you look at my stories? M1: I looked at your stories, but yes, please share with please share with the group. M2: Okay. First off, I mean I said this Peach Group, but I'll just say this part out loud. The fact that you paid four hundred and seventy seven dollars for your drain to be snaked. I've been telling everyone that at work. Just like I'm like, guess how much my sister paid? And someone the highest sum I said it's something ridiculous. And the M1: Okay, but M2: guy who who used to sit behind me goes, two hundred dollars. And I said, You're not even ha half. I'm like gleeful about telling people. M1: Okay, but it wasn't me. I mean it was unfortunately partially my money, but like it wasn't me who did that. MA: I think the second payment of four hundred seventy-seven dollars is even worse, actually, to adjust the setting on a sophomore. M2: Yeah, yeah. MA: Holy cow. Tough, tough. M2: Insane. Okay. Here's some of my thoughts on the things that you said that you don't like anymore. I agree with the Little Mermaid Show. The new graphics, they give Barbie Rapunzel. You know, before you even said that, I was like, she should say that they give Barbie Rapunzel. They're abysmal. Beauty and the Beach should have been on that list for sure. Indiana Jones Indiana Jones, M1: No, me and Mouse Lit Three don't have the hatred of beauty and the beast that you do. M2: I'm like, it's stale. It's stale. I don't even mind that they don't do that whole scene. I've always been too shy to go up and do the audience thing, but like, M1: It doesn't have any like zhuzh M2: It's just it's just still. M1: anymore. It's ch yeah. M2: Finding Nemo, yeah, they ruined it, destroyed it, killed it because of budget stinkers. I mean, I still love that show, obviously, but You're an idiot about the Swiss Family Treehouse, Boo, Boo Button, M1: No, no, no, no. M2: the Emporium. I said this is my rant, this is my soapbox, one of many. The Emporium is another victim of commercialization of Magic Kingdom, and it is, and it is. M1: It unfortunately is. It is it is sad. M2: The Pixar Film Festival, Bao was in the Pixar Film Festival. I want you to know that. M1: No, it wasn't. M2: No, it was. M1: It wasn't. Someone literally commented it's only been changed once and it was La Luna and Feast that used to be in it. Also, guys, if you don't know exactly what we're talking about, you should listen to our episode from last week where me and my brother, Malsa Three, talked about things that we used to love at Disney, but we don't really anymore, or things that we l didn't used to love at Disney and do now. M2: I think my favorite part of the episode was that Mouse Lit three. Every time you said something you didn't like, he's like, Ooh, let's add that to the list for November. Yeah, I actually do want to do that. And I just it's like he said it like five times. Thought that was funny. M1: Literally. M2: Here's some things that Mouse Lit A, did you have anything? Did you even listen? I don't remember if you listened to it. MA: I did listen. I listened first and I told you about it and I said you should listen to it. but I don't nothing's coming to mind right now of what I wanted M2: Okay. MA: to add. M2: Things that you guys like now. I'm laughing that you used to use the chicken door. This is so funny. M1: The haunted mansion, if you know, you know. M2: Mouselit 3 needs to see American Adventure. It's amazing. The ultimate Mouse Let's Lore is us thinking that Living with the Land was in spaceship birth. Or mom and dad told us that, though. That's on them. M1: Yeah, that's their fault. M2: In general, some of your choices shocked me. Okay, my last thing dodgeball. All right. Mike Wazowski. M1: Guys, if you d we played this game, I thought it was so fun. It was like Disney dodgeball. We paired up, we each got to pick a team and then we played paired characters against each other. M2: Raise your hand if you love that game. Two hands are up. M1: I can't believe literally, I'm not even joking. That was my favorite game we've ever played. Guys, I just need to play something for Masselay. M2: That's the day saying nothing. MA: I didn't I didn't love it. M2: Okay, here are my thoughts. Mike Gazowski is a horrible pick. He has minuscule arms and he couldn't throw anything. And the idea of him rolling around is not helpful. M1: Mil three kept being like he could be a ball. Like that's not relevant though for a dodgeball. MA: Yeah, it doesn't help you in Dajbar. M2: Cusco, here's what I thought about Cusco. Cusco is so clumsy, but I'm like, he has a certain kind of like tenacity that I actually think he could have been great. I said Stitch is King should have been first, and he is. M1: Someone someone commented that Stitch would just like eat the ball and destroy it, which I do MA: Maybe. M1: think could see happening. Yes. M2: No, no, no. Stitch is really look at him. okay, so the mad hatter would be atrocious. He's like a bumbling idiot. Also, M1: Ha. M2: Doug, Doug was probably the worst one there. He would have gotten so distracted. Mouse the three like didn't understand. Snoops also would be tough. And they said the genie is a ten out of ten pick as is anger. M1: Melcel III literally picked Edna Modus his like number two pick. Okay. He was M2: Baymax's also not good. M1: I like had different thoughts about Bamex. Anyways, I can't get into it. I am M2: Okay. All right. M1: actually dying, dying, dying to talk about this next point, which is I talked about this a little on last week's episode, but there is a documentary called Stolen Kingdom, which is all about Disney urban explorers and thieves and the stealing of the Buzzy Animatronic. If you don't know, look up the documentary. But M2: Someone told Mouse at one they were gonna send her their report her to the FBI because someone sent her an MP four of the video. M1: I'm sure that person is watching this video right now. Hey, yes, you did tell me that you were gonna report me to the FBI because someone emailed me an MP4 link. what am I supposed to do when I receive the link? Report it to the FBI? Like I I don't know. You cannot say this. You cannot say this. What you wanna say? You cannot say. Okay. M2: Can I keep it vague? M1: I mean, if you I don't up to you. M2: Someone that we know, knew, know. We know a person who used to get M1: We know a we know a we knew who was a MA: Right. M2: Netflix DVD sent to their house and they would burn new discs of them and steal them from Netflix, which is a federal they were a pirater and they would M1: They were a pirater. Like no I MA: Yeah, my neighbor did that all the time growing up. They're like, look at the Harry Potter movie. We've got M1: but M2: Mm MA: it. And I said, How? It's in theaters. So like, watch. And it was like some back in the back in the day. M2: In theaters. Well that's crazy. That's giving New York Minute. MA: Yeah, like they like they're like, come watch it, come watch it. And it was some I don't know what it was, but we were watching. M1: Okay, well we know a huge M2: Okay. M1: pirator, but we have I feel like we I keep saying we need to do a full episode on Buzzy, and we actually do. But what did M2: We'll do it next week. M1: you think of the documentary? M2: Okay. If you didn't listen to our episode about abandoned things, I talked about Hoot Gibson and Mouse one said there's no Hoot hive and Hoot Gibson no one knows Hoot. Guess what? Hoot was in the documentary. So this is like so so this M1: When when Hoot was in the documentary, I literally texted Mouse Letou being my god, it's Hoot. Again, it is okay, it is the most like niche niche niche lore. It's just crazy to see these like really random characters that you like see from afar in a literal documentary. Okay. Mouse Latou and Mouse Leda are having a conversation in the spreadsheet. About who we know that was the pirater. Okay. And it's unacceptable to be talking about that in the spreadsheet MA: Hmm. M1: when we are talking about Stolen Kingdom. Stop gossiping about the person MA: Mm. M1: that we know who was a literal pirater. Okay. Any anyways. M2: It was amazing. Yeah, Stone Kingdom is very cool, very interesting, lots of lore there. We'll do a buzzy deep dive, I think. But MA: And sorry, honestly, where do you watch Stolen Kingdom? M1: people say now it's on like it it literally like when the episode released. No, no, now it's on like M2: Letterbox or something. M1: Amazon Prime and like you can rent it on Apple, like normal places now. MA: Nice. M1: so you don't need to be reported to the FBI. Okay, like seriously. M2: Yeah, don't sue us. Someone sent us an MP4, okay? It's also on Apple T V, I'm seeing it. MA: Okay, cool. M1: Okay, yeah, it's like normal now. M2: Okay. Other things. S Society of Explorers and Adventures. Matterhorn. Lots of a couple Matterhorn things to talk about. We spent far too long in Disneyland trying to solve this clue. Well, confirmed we got it right. So I'm very, very proud. I was gonna run through it. Society of Explorers and Adventures, scavenger hunt thing. M1: From the from the Society of Explorers and Adventurers Scavenger Hunt. M2: I was going to run through it in this episode, but then minutes before I checked and they revealed that we got it right. but there's an insane Matterhorn rumor. It's so stupid's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. I don't know, like M1: Have you seen this rumor, Masladay? MA: No. M1: There is a rumor. I have absolutely no idea where it came from. It is just a rumor that is on a website that talks about rumors, okay? That M2: Probably from that mouse that mouse thing. Mouse trap. M1: I don't even yeah, literally. There's a rumor that as Disneyland redoes their Tomorrowland and you know potentially expands it to be a larger footprint, they're going to demolish the Matterhorn and rebuild a new Matterhorn in a completely different spot in Disneyland because the Matterhorn is so sort of old and rickety, anyways, that they may as well just rebuild. MA: Highly d I don't see why they would ever do that. Yeah. They would if any if M1: They would not ever do that. M2: They will ne there is no chance. MA: if anything, they would close it for a refurb and try to, I don't know, replace in kind or something. They would never that would because yeah, I know, I don't think they'd ever do that. M1: If you've never been to Disneyland, the Matterhorn is like a massive mountain with a ride built into it in the middle of the park. They would never move it, demolish it, and rebuild it. It's the most ridiculous rumor. Anyways, I just needed to talk about that. Yes. M2: So silly. Okay, a couple other things to talk about. Moana. Mel Cele watched Moana for the first time and she loved it. MA: I did, yeah. It was it it was good. I d I guess like I didn't really ex well, Mouse Lit too helped me recently to tell me the kind of like the j like vaguely the plot. I liked that it wasn't like a traditional like princess story. And I really enjoyed the music. I think that's what really got me. With like I feel like tr at the right times. Like when I think at the end when she like goes to return the heart or something and The way they incorporated the music in that scene, I just really liked it. So it was it was fun. It was fun to watch on my plane. M2: Our entire trip she was like M1: I hope that everyone is feeling inspired by your fifteen years too late review of Moana. Anyways. M2: I was gonna say she's like she's like Maui, like look, she would see like the hook, she'd be like, It's it's Maui's hook. She loved it, so MA: Yeah. M2: okay. I watched Toy Story five on the plane, one of my many plane rides. Loved it, obsessed. M1: I'm shocked if you don't know some like random Mouse 2 isn't the hugest Disney movie person, anyways. But I would say of all Disney movies, like one that we collectively don't really love and others do is Toy Story. Like, I you don't like Jesse. I don't like Woody. We just don't love those movies. So I have felt so M2: I actually hate Jessie so much that I love her now, but yeah. M1: True. But MA: Likes it. M1: I have felt so uninspired to watch Toy Story 5 because I'm so like meh on the movies. I I'm shocked to hear that you loved it. M2: Yeah, I did. Lillipad also isn't evil, so we felt spread that false information. M1: my god, we're pr gonna be cancelled again for spreading false news. M2: She resolved, she resolved, sort of like redeems herself. I thought it was really good. I was like, I really liked this. I thought they did a great job. Were there a couple things that would change? Sure, but in general, I thought it was really good. So then I said, let me watch No, it's not my favorite. M1: Is it your f favorite Toy Story movie? M2: I don't think so. No. But then I went and watched Toy Story Four. And I said, let me watch this M1: Hate. M2: again. You know what? As I was thinking, I'm like, should Woody spoilers for Toy Story Four, if you haven't seen it, if you haven't seen it at this point, guys. I'm like, should M1: Mouse the three, fast forward, mouse the three, fast forward. MA: Maybe M2: Okay, mouse wait wait. Me and Mouse Liday are driving back from the airport when we flew into Boston, like late, late. We landed very late. We're talking, and she's like, Can you explain the plot to me of Toy Story, whatever? I spend like minutes going detailed through the plot. She then looks and says, Sorry, I forgot to listen to everything you said. Can you start again? I was like, Are you frickin' kidding me? MA: Which Mouse Latu does to me all the time. All the time. She goes, I forgot to M1: Yes, yes. MA: listen. So I did. I forgot M2: Well, I have bad hearing. MA: to listen. I was thinking about something else. M2: So I started watching Toy Story Four, finished it. Woody Bonnie didn't want to play with Woody anymore. He's sitting in the closet with all the dust balls. All of his friends are playing. I'm like, you know what? Why should Woody want to stay with Bonnie? Woody should go off on his own and I support him for that. I don't know if M1: That part is fine. It's the ending. I hate the ending of that stupid movie. M2: Why? What what's what? M1: The whole point of the Toy Story franchise is Woody and Buzz, best friends. And then okay, spoilers ahead. Spoilers ahead, guys, okay? Skip forward like fifteen seconds. Woody leaves Buzz and goes with Bo Peep. I hate it. M2: That's what I'm saying. But but Buzz, Bonnie still wanted to play with Buzz. Woody needed to move on. Like he shouldn't be sitting in the closet. Free him from the closet. I support him for M1: No. M2: that. And then in Toy Story Five, he comes back and I'm like, he's still in contact with his friends and his toys. I liked it. Then I started watching Toy Story three. I'm a huge fan of the Toy Story franchise again. Final thing. Yeah. M1: my god. A huge fan. Okay, final thing. M2: We're going to Comic-Con. We're going to New York Comic-Con on only the last day because that's the only ticket we could get. But we're going on Sunday. I'm very excited. We love Star Wars. Me and Mouse Leday love Star Wars. Lots of Star Wars stuff there. I think since we've been to D23, I'm excited to see how we kind of experience this Comic-Con again. MA: Well, I really M1: Now s MA: wish that we could like do a panel or something where like Hayden Christians is doing like meet and greets or autographs or something. I'm sure it's sold out by now, but I really wanted to do that because he's gonna be there and I don't know. I don't know if it's gonna work out. But I wish we could like experience something else than just the floor. M1: Yeah. Mouseless C is so excited. He did not get to go last year because he had hurt his ankle like right before it was a whole thing. He bought special new anime shirts to wear. He's extremely excited. So yes. M2: my god, he's wearing anime shirts. MA: Aw, that's fun. M1: So we will be reporting back on New York Comic-Con. Again, we're only going the last day, but now let's get into a little bit of news. I did assign some news to Mouse Liday. It's in the spreadsheet. I'm very excited to MA: What can you do? M1: see her kind of work her way through these things I don't think she's ever seen before. Go ahead. MA: First piece of news, the voice of Patty is returning to the carousel of progress as the grandma. M2: Who's Patty? Mausaday. M1: Patricia. M2: No, I'm saying Mausaday. MA: Yeah, I didn't know who that is. Now it's the sis the sister. M1: Well, do you know now, even if I said Patricia? MA: Nice. M1: Yes, like the daughter. I think that's cute. I think that's like MA: Or the data. M1: a cute full circle thing to have that voice actor come back. M2: Great. M1: the next thing, they made a change to the Guardians pre-show. Did you guys see this? MA: Yes, we did. M1: my God, it's M2: Yes, we did. M1: so interesting. So when who is that? Terry Cruz is on the screen and he's like, Does anyone know what they call themselves? There's usually a big gap and well, like a pause. And people in the audience just like yell stupid stuff. And it's just like, not really. It's just kind of like, okay. And so they changed it. So after Terry Cruz says that, you know, the video stream that you're watching kind of glitches for a second. It just goes straight into his next line. So there is no more pause to try and prevent people from doing that. I fully support this change. It's stupid that people started yelling that, but like it's just like not the vibe for the things they yell are stupid. So I'm I'm pleased. MA: It was dumb to be g I think it was dumb to the begin Yeah. M2: I hate that pre-show. I hate that pre-show. I don't know anything about Terry Cruz, but I'm not ultra impressed with his performance. And I just like don't think that it MA: Yeah. M2: doesn't like the jokes don't land. I'm very serious about this. There will be no Terran MA: Not his not his fault. It's whoever M1: Well, I mean M2: devices. I'm just like, I don't understand the I don't understand how he it's that joke. MA: Poorly written. M1: That joke is particularly bad. Yeah, that one is really bad. M2: Okay. Price increases. Want whamp. Tickets, annual passes, food, ears. The Disney World annual passes went up in price specifically. Our sorcer pass is now like twelve hundred dollars. The Incredit pass is like eighteen hundred. Like they're going way up. M1: I it seeing the prices though made me so grateful that we as DVC members have the option to get the sorcerer pass. Like if you're ever considering buying D V C, this is the most random plug, but if you're average considering becoming a DVC member and you don't live in the state of Florida, factor into your math that you get to get a sorcerer pass instead of an incredit pass. It M2: Literally. M1: is hundreds of dollars cheaper, which for me, mouse let two, mouse lit C, and mouse lit A is like an insane amount of savings because they're so expensive. M2: It's the other exciting thing is that at Disneyland, their magic keys, they used to have they were basically being well, they were. They had penal being penalized, is that the word? Being penalized if they didn't show up and they missed a day and they had a reservation. It was like a whole thing. And if you get too many strikes, you can't go for a certain amount of days. They've taken that away. And Disneyland said, like, we hear you, you don't like this, we're taking it away. Also, some other magic key perks seem to be coming. M1: It's interesting to me though, they're still keeping the reservation system. M2: They need to. They have to. It those parks are crazy. There are blockout days the days we were there. That's one of the only reasons it was kind of empty. M1: I know, it's just interesting to me that like you can still make a reservation, but then you just don't have to go. It's kind of like okay, I guess. Yeah. True. And M2: But at least they know that there won't be more than this many people in the park, you know? So exciting. M1: then yeah, I saw stuff that like it seems like new perks are coming, but it wasn't I didn't really see it explicitly outlined. All right, guys, this next one is a big one for Mouse Leday. let's see if she can summarize this succinctly. MA: So there's a new rope drop procedure at Animal Kingdom. The rope drop procedures have changed at Animal Kingdom. M1: Don't read this don't read this word for word, 'cause this is from a news website. M2: Disney's animal kingdom. MA: Guests are no longer being held in the center of Discovery Island. Instead, they are able to enter the lands of the park ahead of the early entry start time. The attraction lines are only open for guests with early entry. At the entrance of each attraction, cast members are scanning guest tickets to determine if they're staying at a resort. all other guests are able to line up near the entrance of an attraction or walk around the land until the park officially opens. However, there is one exception. Only resort hotel guests with the early entry benefit can access Pandora World of Average. M2: I knew she was gonna see Pandora World of Avatar. I said, Jesus M1: Thank you to yep, me too. Thank you to Walt Disney World News today because that was just read verbatim from your website. I think that it's I didn't really think about the fact that Animal Kingdom hadn't done this. Most of the other parks have switched to something more like this. M2: Yeah. M1: I guess not Epcot, but it makes sense. Like, especially at Animal Kingdom, which isn't as crowded or crazy of a park. Like it's very nice to be able to have less of an intense rush. You can walk around. I'm happy. With this change for M2: You too. M1: sure. The holidays are coming. M2: Of the days, Jollywood bells, Jollywood bells, Jollywood news is here. M1: All right, why don't you do your Jollywood news first then? M2: I've hyped it up. Guys, Jollywood is the fourth host of this podcast. It is the best event that Disney does. We love Jollywood. Every year they've done Jollywood. They've made it better and better. They've leveled it up. They've added more things. It just gets better every year. And that's still happening. there are new characters in the ice skating show. The ice skating show is already a new ad, but they added new characters Daisy Duck, Donald Duck, and Jeannie. Very random little group of three, but they will be performing in the ice skating show together. M1: I love this show. I'm I think having characters in it is gonna be really fun. I assume those characters will not be skating. That would be absolutely insane. You'd think they're gonna be skating. M2: Now I think they think MA: What about Disney on Ice? Mm-hmm. M2: Disney on ice. Yeah. M1: True. Wow. M2: So M1: I actually cannot wait to see that. Love. M2: Same. Okay. There's a new lounge in animation courtyard. Also excited for this. A little bit confused. I assume that it's in the closed store by the Little Mermaid. M1: I was thinking it was going to like outside like Tip Top Club and they cause they said there's gonna be like a DJ. So I'm thinking that like the whole animation. M2: I thought it was inside that place. M1: I was thinking no, because that area is now the baby care center. I think that the whole outdoor area is going to be a quote unquote like, you know, 50s style lounge, kind of like what they do with Tip Top Club, but different vibes. M2: Mmm. It showed like inside a building with couches in their picture. It's called the Checkin' It Twice Lounge. I think that's going to be really fun. Also, the Pixar Dance Party is coming back. They're building up some Monsters Inc. lore. The Pixar Dance Party is in Yunisaburg, I guess you could call it. There's going to be two new characters that you can meet, George and Needleman. If you're like, who the heck are those for today? George is the one who has the sock on him, 2319, and Needleman is the assistant who's like skinny and has a red nose and wears A monsters in cat. M1: I think this is, again, extremely fun. One of the things that M2: Yes, me too. M1: they've added to Jollywood over the years is more character, like meet and greets with rare characters. They did it initially, honestly, because they didn't have enough to do with Jollywood. Now that's not as much of a problem. But I think this is like a great ad. It's gonna get people excited for Monstropolis. I love it. M2: Same. So excited. M1: The other holiday update is that they will be doing Christmas like song overlays. So on Cosmic Rewind, there will be three Christmas songs. I don't remember what they are. On Rock and Roller Coast. Okay. Sure. M2: I know what they are. Would you like to hear? It's the most wonderful time of the year by Andy Williams, Christmas Eve by the Trans Siberian Orchestra, and Christmas rapping by the waitresses. I don't think I know that one. MA: hum bug, but that's too strong 'cause it is my favourite holiday. M2: I think we did a dance to that. Yeah, we did. M1: Ooh, that's a bop. We did. MA: Yeah, that's a good that would be that would be the best. yeah, M1: We definitely did a dance to that. MA: yeah, yeah. M2: I don't remember it, but M1: so that's coming to cosmic. MA: The the Grinch, the Grinch. M1: then rock and roller coaster will have like holiday overlay as well. It'll be that you're going to like a special holiday concert, holiday songs, and then alien swirling saucers, Lily Pad, who we talked about earlier, will be playing Christmas songs. I love when Disney does things like this. Honestly, at Disney World, they often don't. And so I think doing this in all different places. It's a great idea. The last thing that I want to mention is that we are recording this on Tuesday. There is currently a huge press event going on about what is coming to the new cruise ship, the Disney Believe. There's like a whole scavenger hunt happening that a lot of media and creators are involved in. And then on October 7th, they will be revealing it for sure. It does not make sense for us to bother speculating what the scavenger hunt means, because by this time this episode comes out, everything will have actually been revealed. so if you're curious, you can go look it up, but we will be discussing it next week. Sorry, we can't record after that live stream. We do not have time. So that is all the news, honestly, a lot of good stuff this week. But now we have even better stuff to get into with our main topic. M2: We're back from Hawaii. And I will say, as I said, we discussed for 30 minutes in the Patreon segment where we talked about a lot of lore. The list is extensive. Okay. We have a lot to talk about. I've broken this trip, our trip, into three pieces, because that's kind of how we did it. And so I've sort of referred to it. Part one was like Waikiki like just being on Oahu in Hawaii. Part two was Olani, the Disney resort. Part three was when we were in LA at Disneyland. And I have a bunch M1: And M2: of M1: I was gonna say we're not really going in like chronological order so much of your trip. You're just talking about things you did in each of those segments. And if you really wanna see chronological order, perhaps by the time this episode comes out, Mal City will have the highlights up. M2: And my vlogs. M1: Ha ha. M2: If you're watching on video, you would wanna bop her in the face. Okay. M1: No. M2: Mouse Liday, kick it off. MA: Ooh. okay. So we flew first class to Hawaii. That was a lot of fun. we said earlier in this episode, but also one famously said that we would be bored. We couldn't have been we we we were not bored. We were not going to be bored. yeah, then I was afraid I was saying that wrong. Couldn't M1: You c You couldn't have been less bored is what you were going for there. M2: Mouse lit once said we would be bored and we were not bored. MA: have been less bored. Because we flew Delta One. It was a lot of fun. We really enjoyed that. we also got really lucky with the weather. We were prepared, but we were watching leading up to our our trip, there was a hurricane that was gonna just like come right very close to a couple of the islands in Hawaii. So we were prepared with what we packed, but we were bummed, but we got really lucky and it ended up kind of just missing us, and we ended up having like beautiful weather except for a little bit of wind. so that that was that was really great and made our trip a lot a lot better than it could have been. M2: We stayed at the Sheraton Beach R hotel in Waikiki, is that what it was called? MA: Yeah, like the Sheraton and Wikiki at Waikiki Beach. M2: Yeah. And so we got a ocean view room. They upgraded us, which was so nice. We got a higher floor, although terrifying sort of to be that high up. I really like this hotel. If you if this is a place you're visiting and you need a hotel, I would recommend it. Really liked it. The toilet was insane. Okay. It was crazy. MA: yeah. It was it was a heated seat. M1: Whoa, my goodness, that was the highlight of the hotel. M2: It was a heated seat amongst like thirty thousand other things that it did, which of couldn't begin to try to use those, but it was actually really nice. The pools were really, really fun. The it was right on the beach, which we like absolutely loved. I really enjoyed staying there. And I'm really happy, and we'll talk about this in a bit, but I'm really, really happy that we didn't stay at Olani the entire time just because that side of the island is very different. And I loved being on the beach on the other side. on our flight, we had this amazing flight attendant who gave us this list of all sorts of recommendations, one of which was to go to this sort of like hole in the wall Thai restaurant. called Siam Palace, I believe. And it was so good. Best Thai food I've had. It was really, really good. So again, just like MA: It was really good. M2: fun. It felt like very like local life like to be visiting it. Another place we ate Leonard's. Malsa, you want to talk about what Leonard's is what is a Malasada? MA: Malzada is ki is probably easiest to compare it to like fried dough or like a donut, but more like fried dough. it was really good. We heard it was one of the better or best bakeries in a Oahu. So that was really exciting. They were closed like right before we got there for renovations. They had just opened back up. So we got lucky again. but it was really good. We got six different flavors and it was just like starting off the trip with that was a lot of fun. M1: Would you recommend people go, I assume? MA: yeah, definitely. M2: Hundred percent. MA: Definitely. And I would recommend we I thought I was gonna like the they had a lot that were like filled. They had a lot of flavors of like a filled custard, chocolate. Honestly, the best ones were the ones that weren't filled. Just like you don't need all that. They were so good. And eat them fresh. Eat them warm. M2: Yeah, eating fresh. They were so much better the first day. But yeah, they were so good. That was really fun. The parking was happened to be closed at that place when we were there. It's it's open out, it was under construction. So we had to park like way up in a neighborhood. And it was crazy. There were just wild chickens like running around everywhere, which is a thing in Hawaii. But Mouse said I could be like, it's hey, hey. So that was really fun. MA: Yeah. M2: and that was really good. One of our peaches, though, from our entire honeymoon was the fact that we took a surfing lesson and it was us and the instructor. So it's just the two of us and this instructor. what was the name of the surf Oahu Surf School if you're looking for surfing? And we were kind of nervous. Well, Mausede was like very nervous as they were teaching us how to get up on the board. We were just like laying on like on land. She was like being so methodical and thinking. And then I just sort of tried it. And he's like, you're not nervous at all. And I was I just want to be able to stand. All I want is to be able to stand on the surfboard once. And he's like, It'll happen. We both stood the first time, the first wave. We basically like we did all the stuff. He's like, let's just go out. And he like kind of gave us a boost. And I, yeah, I saw the first time. I was and so Mal Slade, which I was so proud of. And that was so fun. MA: Hm. Yeah. Yeah. M2: he ended up taking videos of us too, which was really fun. The first time we took a video was like the only time I fell because I got so camera shy that I like literally panicked. So I thought that was funny. MA: it was a lot of fun. I was nervous just because I don't love being out in the water much. Like the ocean just like creeps me out a little bit. But this like the Waikiki Beach was just so nice. It was so calm. There were so many other surfers out there. And then our instructor was like, this is a very calm day in terms of the crowd because it the weather had called for a bunch of rain. and stuff, but we got lucky it like held off while we were in the water. But yeah, it was just so cool. I was trying hard every time not to fall, but we I would say we only like really wiped out each of us like once. Like we we did pretty well. So it was it was a big peach for sure. M2: It was so fun. And he taught us like how to get around someone if someone like happens to be in front of you. And it happened to me that there was a guy that I was about to barrel through and I had to like look away and turn the board and I did it and I didn't hit him, which I'm kind of impressed about. So M1: I stopped myself, I stopped myself. I did it, misses D I did and hit the man in the ocean. I know you're proud of me. A little M2: Now you're proud of me. That's from a book about dinosaurs that Mama Mousel made up a song for. Well, the song was in the book. She made up the tune. Niche, niche, niche reference. okay, other things, the beach and the pool. If you want to hear some insane, insane, insane pool stories, you can check out the Patreon segment. literally crazy. I loved the ocean in Hawaii. It was MA: No. M2: so salty. I could float so well. I felt like I was in the Dead Sea. MA: Yeah. M2: Did you exp Who hit that button? M1: Mauslatoo kind of hist me because Mauslatoo kind of historically can't float. So it's very exciting for her when she is able to float. Most people are like, Yeah, you're floating, but Mauslatou like sinks. M2: yeah, me and Papa Mouse at sink. And no matter what trick someone teaches me, they could deep breath of air. Like my legs will not stay up. I can't float. MA: it was very easy to float in in this ocean. Very easy. M2: It was very fun. So loved that. Loved there was like an infinity pool. It was just like such a good vibe. okay, other things we did that are not in Olani that we did on the island on Oahu. What was that coffee place called? Sunshine Seasons, perhaps? MA: Sunshine M1: Nope, that's that's MA: Shack. M1: actually a place in the living in the land pavilion at Epcot. What what is it actually called? M2: Sunshine Shack, which was a recommendation from MA: Sunshine check. M2: Mouselit One's friend. and I it was I think I said it was the best avocado toast I've ever had in my life. Yeah. MA: Yeah. Yeah, you did say that. Yeah, that was fun. Very popular. They had a couple locations. M1: That's pretty high praise. M2: The smoothie no I wouldn't get a smoothie from there though. M1: Okay. I'm excited to M2: okay. M1: I'm excited to hear about this next one because we got a lot of this is your Diamond Head hike. We got a lot of DMs from people who like had a bad experience here, who hated the Diamond Head hike. MA: interesting. M2: I was actually moving Diamond Head to the end and I specifically stripped s you know, missed it in the spreadsheet for that reason. But I guess I'll jump into it now. Why did they hate it? M1: I will they said it was like extremely, extremely crowded. Like it was it was so crowded that it wasn't fun. I was wondering if maybe you guys didn't quite experience that so much because you were going towards the end of the day when maybe people not as many people could be like continuing to go. Because yeah, people had really bad things to say in our DMs. Not everybody, of course, but M2: Wow. I we MA: I M2: did have the last reservation. Go ahead, Mel Seday. MA: I think two things. One, again, the weather on that day. One, it would called for rain all day and it didn't end up raining, but it was here and there. That was Friday of our trip. It would rain, it would stop. It would rain, it would stop. So I think part of it could have been weather, even though some people you're there, like you have to go no matter what. It's hard to reschedule because again you need reservation. So I think part of it was the weather. Of maybe not being as crowded. And then yes, we had the four to six PM slot. You have to make a reservation in advance. It's too crowded or too popular. So you definitely have to make it in advance. and it's definitely possible that that you had to be out of there by six. Like you could not be lingering past six. They they threatened that they M2: We were gonna get locked in and they were gonna close the tunnel. MA: would that they would lock you in. That's M1: my god. M2: Yeah, yeah. MA: what they would threaten. So that so that makes your time slot shorter because you can't arrive before four. And then you have to be make sure you're down in your car out of there by six. So that probably isn't the most popular time. So yeah, I think it's I mean, there was definitely people there. Like it was definitely quote unquote crowded. But if people are saying it was like unenjoyable, I bet in the summer it like at like sunrise and stuff, M2: I was gonna say we off season. Yeah. MA: I bet it does get pretty crowded. So something to keep in mind if anyone's doing that, maybe maybe you go toward the end of the day in the summer or something like that. M2: Loved it though. I love abandoned things. There was like these abandoned. Well, I talked about this a bit in sitting on the ground. World War One and World War II, sort of like bunkers and things. I watched before this hike. Well, I've been watching this account this account. They're they're like Disney, I think, ordinary adventures. People probably know who they are. I just discovered them. I was watching their Hawaii vlogs and they did that hike. And they're not big hikers. One of the things they they kept being like, we're not really big hikers. And they were like, There's like an easy path and a hard path. And like we're just gonna go the easy side, but like, you know, we could have taken these, done the hot hard side. And I thought that the hard side was just a bunch of stairs. So I said to Mouse a day. I was like, we should definitely do the hard side. So we walk up these incredibly steep stairs. We walk through like a tunnel and we get to the most insane, decrepit spiral staircase I've ever seen in my life. Have you ever walked up a lighthouse? Wait, Mouse one, have you ever walked up a lighthouse? So I've walked up a M1: I don't think so. Why? MA: Never. M2: lighthouse at The outer banks with mouse lay. I did it M1: Why would I have ever walked up a lighthouse? Sound MA: It's funny. M1: off in the com sound off in the comments if you've ever walked up a lighthouse. Lighthouse walking high for like MA: I've been up I've been up a bunch of lighthouses. What? What? M2: Well, I've been up maybe w another one in Maine, but I'm terrified of heights and I can't walk up like the last time we did that lighthouse in Outer Banks, I think I'd like got stuck on like the third platform and I was like I MA: Yeah, we paid we paid twenty dollars for entry and then you said, Never mind. Yeah. M2: I was like, I can't do this. I I was like, I can't do this. But at the top of the spiral staircase was a ladder that you had to climb up to get up there. And I said, that's what MA: It was we said M2: ordinary adventurers are saying when they said it was challenging. So we had to go back down the stairs and take the easy route, which I almost couldn't do anyway, 'cause it was so high. M1: Almost like you took the chicken door, one could say. MA: Mm-hmm. M2: No. Nope. I wouldn't say that. but I loved it. I thought it was amazing views. I thought it was a blast. I think if it was really busy and really hot, I probably would have had a different experience. But also, just with the reservation system for parking, I just can't imagine it gets that busy. I wonder if they've changed some things since people went. MA: True, true. M1: If anybody listening to this had that experience, DM us or put it in YouTube or Spotify comments because I saw so many DMs about it and I want Mouse L2 and Mouse Leda Day to get to like see what other people experienced because it did seem very different MA: Yeah, I'm curious. M1: than theirs. Yeah. M2: A couple of other things we did. We went shopping, which was really fun. Won't get into it too much. There will be vlogs up where we kind of talk about it, but got some souvenirs for people. We went to this famous place, popular TikTok place, whatever, Island Vintage Coffee. MA: Mm-hmm. M2: I told Mel today I wanted. M1: I'm sorry. You're jumping around to the spreadsheet and the next thing in the spreadsheet is Pearl Harbor. And I thought you were gonna be like, we went to this popular place you might have heard of it, it's called Pearl Harbor. I was like, what are you about to say? Okay, sorry, coffee. MA: my gosh. no. M2: Yeah, I'm I'm going rogue on the spreadsheet, okay? Island vintage coffee. I told Mouse today, please get me an iced latte with almond milk. I said, ask how many shots of espresso are in it. If there are two, I always want one. If there are two, then I want MA: If this then that, if this then that, if this then that M1: Ha ha ha. M2: a decaf. One of them to be a decaf espresso shot. MA: Then then what else did you say? If they don't have almond milk, then I don't want oat milk. Then M2: Get me a regular coffee. MA: just get me a regular coffee. Okay? So what do I do? M2: Okay, Mouse Liday got me a regular hot coffee with almond milk. MA: No, no, no. No, no, no. No, no, no. So I go up there. I go, how many shots? And she said that all when I'm like the next in line. by the way, I want a coffee. And if it has two espresso, then you can be regular coffee. But if it oat milk, then so I go up M2: I was holding our s I was holding our table in the rain. MA: there, I go, how many shots of espresso in your lattes? Two. I said, okay. So no latte, right? So then go, okay, what kind of milk do you M2: When one of them should have been the D cap job. MA: But she didn't actually say that. And I knew that she likes that, but she didn't say that at the time. She said, if they if not, give me a regular coffee. No, no, no, you messed up. You you admitted that you messed up. M2: No, I typed D and st D E. I abbreviated D calf to D E. D E. I wrote D E. MA: You wrote just a D, just a D, just a D, and I couldn't understand. So I go, Okay. So I said M1: No fighting girls, no fighting, no fighting. MA: I said, okay. M2: Here, pause. Ask how many shots of espresso are in it. If it's more than one shot of espresso, do the other one D D E decalf. MA: No, just a D, just a D. Don't add M2: Tilly. MA: the E there. M2: to be clear, to be clear, I'm looking MA: Wait, wait, wait. M2: at it and it says D E. Okay, I have the literal text message here. MA: Okay, regardless. M2: I said D E. I have it right here. Anyway, the funniest part wasn't that you didn't get me a latte, it was that you got me a hot coffee. MA: The funniest part was that I ordered it iced and they gave it to me hot. So, and at that point, then I looked at the ticket that they wrote it as hot. It wasn't like this ticket said ice and then that I could have said, this is wrong. They clearly rung me up as hot. I don't know, I don't know why. It was very crowded in this coffee shop. I said, Sorry. Unfortunately, hot coffee it is for you. M1: Wait, I need to interject with a story of something that just happened to me. That's like similar vein. And you need to tell you what you would do in this situation. I was at a friend's birthday party at a wine bar, and I was going to get a bottle of wine for me and some friends. And so I walked up to the bar and I said, Can I get a bottle of the rose? And I'll get a glass of red wine because Mouse Lucy wanted red wine. He goes, Okay. He comes back with two like pretty full glasses of rose, like more than a normal pour. A glass of red wine that was like about the same amount of a pour. And then he has a bottle of rose with like a t not that much left, but like, you know, a a little bit left at the bottom. And I'm like, okay, seems kind of weird to that the bottle of rose was basically just these two glasses and that little bit, but like whatever, it's fine. So I pay, and as I'm paying, the women next to me go, what's that one? Like pointing to the bottle that's there. And he goes, this is rose. And they go, Okay, we'll take that. He opens the bottle, pours them a glass from the bottle. MA: Wait, your own bot you a bottle that you just bought? Holy cow M1: That I had I mean, in theory, like he had never actually handed me the bottle. He had been like holding the bottle and I thought that he was gonna give it to me once I paid, but he then just poured it to them. M2: Why did he overpour the glasses? MA: Yeah, but the point is that she bought that bottle and then M2: I'm saying, why did he overpour the glasses in general though? I think that's weird too. MA: A whole M1: It was really weird. So I ended up with two glasses of wine that like I guess were fuller than a normal glass, but like, you know, they were still only like a third of the way full. It wasn't like it was to the brim with a whole bottle. MA: I would have said, sorry, that's my bottle of wine. What? M2: I've said oops oops. M1: It was like I was just like so embarrassed I didn't MA: And then and then he said here and handed you the bottle after that? Or no, then he just kept the bottle. Did they charge you for M1: No, no. Then he'd walked away, you know, and was gone. MA: a bottle? M1: I like didn't really look at the it was like a virtual receipt, I didn't really look at it. But anyways, it was very, very embarrassing for me and weird. MA: Tiss, tisk, tisk. That's odd. That's super odd. M2: Wow. Okay, a couple of other things we did. We went to the special TikTok place, Pearl Harbor. Just kidding. that's what Mel someone thought I was gonna say. We went to Pearl Harbor. M1: Yeah, yeah. The special really popular place. MA: Mm. M2: It was pretty cool. the museum portion was like very, very well done. I was very impressed by like the exhibits. were you, Mel Sole? I thought that they the those exhibits were fantastic, honestly. MA: Yeah, yeah. I think you I think and this is fine, but I think like you said like you weren't you didn't know a lot about like the events of Pearl Harbor and you relied on the like museum to learn things. And so therefore you found found it really helpful, which I think is great. and I M2: Jesus. MA: thought they were I thought they were yeah, I thought they were great. M1: I'm sorry, I I'm not sure what you're I'm actually struggling to understand what you're getting at here. You didn't find them helpful? M2: She's saying that she's such a savvy Pearl Harbor pro that she didn't care about the museum 'cause she already knew it all. MA: She No, no, no, but I think you okay, so we started the first thing we did when we got there, we went straight to the USS Arizona Memorial. That's just the again, we had a pre-book that in advance. That was a time slot I got. So we went out there to the memorial. You only stay out there for about 10 minutes, and then Also Two was saying that that it was just a little confusing that. there wasn't a little bit more of like an information on what we're seeing. It was there was a tiny bit, but she was like, I thought there'd be more to really explain what we're looking at. So to me, I'm like, well, I I know exactly what no, no, no, I I know what we're looking at. So in hindsight, like going through the museum portion first before you go out to the memorial, I think is like that's why you really enjoy the museum piece. M2: I think part of it I mean, I know about Pearl Harbor, to be clear. I know about Pearl Harbor, but I don't know about the intricacies of each ship and things. So I would say do the museum first, then do the memorial or visit one of the other ships or the submarine or things. So MA: Yeah, I think doing the museum piece first would make more sense. Like start there if you could time it that way. We just we just weren't able to time it that way. M1: Yeah. I d I only did the museum side and I found it to be extremely informative and like moving. It w it's a very good memorial. Yeah. M2: Same. I loved, I love the museum. Okay, a couple other things we did. Kualoa Ranch. This is a very cool area. It's a huge piece of land that's owned privately. So, like, there's definitely some things to be said for that. However, the land is primarily preserved and not built on, which is rare for that area, they were saying. So that was pretty interesting. We got to learn a lot about like history of Hawaii and the mountain ranges and the stories related to that. And then we also got to see certain things like Jurassic that were filmed there, Jurassic World, whatever the freaking Jurassic French, Jurassic Park, Jurassic World, MA: Jurassic, Jessic World. M1: Mouse Latoo doesn't know that it's not just called Jurassic. That's why we're teasing her. M2: La I d no crew. MA: It's like saying Harry Potter and just saying Harry. M1: Yes. It is, it is. M2: No, it's not. No, it's not. Okay, no, it's not. MA: So they filmed Harry. M2: one of the coolest things though, here's some niche lore. I love Lost. I love the show Lost. It's probably my top three favorite shows ever. The Office Lost and Colony. I love Lost so much. And I got to see specific things from Lost, and I was like, that's where they played golf. That's where Hurley drove his VW bug. I saw The Hatch. I saw one of the The places from the Dharma initiative. If you watched Lost, it was amazing. I would think I was the only Lost fan on the tour, but it was really cool. And we did the U T V tour. El Ciday, anything to add? MA: no, yeah, like we we don't besides Lost, we don't we didn't know too many of the movies that they filmed there, but I don't think that took away from it. Like I think I was there for like the views, really. And and our tour guides were were fun. And we have two tour guides in in our group and that they were a lot of fun, but like the views were incredible. So I really enjoyed I really enjoyed that. M2: Okay, we'll go a little faster because I'm realizing we have 30,000 bullets left. We went to the North Shore, we got shaved, we ate so much shave ice, we got shaved ice, we did some shopping, we got amazing acai bowls, got coffee from like a TikTok viral place, which was really fun. in general, before we get into kind of Olani and that side of the island, that side well, I'll get into that quickly. That side of the island was undeveloped in a way for many, many years. I loved the side of Oahu that that we were on. I really liked the Waikiki area. I liked that side of the island in general a lot more. And I think that if you are going to Olani and you don't go to the other side of the island, you're missing out on like a huge part of Oahu. And I'm sure people are like, you miss out on all these other islands. Like it I'm sure that's a thought, but I would say you definitely need to make time to at least go somewhere beyond where Olani is, which is Koalina. Anything to add about part one of the honeymoon mouse today before we get into Olani? MA: no, just that I wish we had more time. So many people DM'd DM'd you guys about like food recommendations and stuff. And DM dude. And I was reading M2: DM'd us 'cause Mouse Lit A now has access to the mouselets account and reads all the messages. MA: them. but had so many good recommendations, we just couldn't have fitted. Like I wish we had more time to do it. One of the nights we also were just exhausted and just weren't in the mood for dinner. So I I M1: One of the nights, every night that you guys were there. M2: No MA: I think like I appreciated all the recommendations and I wish we could have gone to so many of them. but we just like we just didn't have the time. So next time, hopefully there's a next time. M1: Okay, as I said when you were on your honeymoon, M2: Okay. Alani Time. M1: get to the good stuff. A money. M2: Okay. Became very obsessed with the history as one does of the area where Olanani was in, digging deep into some of the stuff. Need to run through it. It's very important context. On the west side of the island, there were not historically, it wasn't a place where people would like go to the beach. It was very rocky. There were a lot of there was like sugar cane factories and it was just a very different from the other side of the island. In the nineteen eighties, a investor, a developer, I guess. Teamed up with some investors from Japan to develop this side of the island. He and this guy had this huge vision to build these four man-made lagoons that are attached to the ocean but sort of like filtered separately. It's pretty cool engineering. I won't get into it. Anyway, so there's four lagoons, and Olani is on one of the lagoons, and then there's three others as well. This side, like those lagoons, are amazing, but it is totally different over here because of that. And this side of the island, again, is just like In fact, the road that Tuolani dead ends further north. So like you're on like a dead end, it's further away, but you're on a dead end road. Anything to add about Kohalina Mouse Lit Wan. Or about the day. M1: Mal Sade seems to have something to add. MA: Nope, nope, nope, nope. M1: No, but yeah, it's just a very it's you feel like you're going really far away from everything because you are. M2: Yeah. It's and the driving didn't bother us being from there. It was really just like you're buy bunch of resorts and you buy a bunch of things that are developed and it doesn't feel like the same side of like Oahu necessarily. But I loved Olani so much. It's just like I'm encouraging you to do things other than Olani. Even if you say it Olani the whole time, rent a car, drive it around. M1: Also, from Molani you can drive to like the North Shore or Waikiki in like forty five minutes to an hour. It's not that big of an island. So it's not like a huge thing to do. M2: Yeah. No. Just watch out for rush hour traffic, which we hit once. okay. When we checked into Ulani, we talked about this on the Patreon segment, but it was a little bit chaotic, just like the process, our room wasn't quite ready yet. So it was a little bit crazy, but I want to just talk about the parking because we got so many questions on this. We rented a car and we were not staying with our own DVC points. We rented DVC points. But because we are DVC owners, we got free parking. DVC owners get free parking. Otherwise, it's $40 a day to park. A bunch of people messaged us and said when they rented DVC points, they got free parking and they're not DVC owners. Didn't see anything online about that. That's really not necessarily how it should be. Maybe there was some confusion if that happens, great. But if you're not a DVC owner, expect to pay $40 per day to park your car, which yes is a lot. M1: Yeah, it's MA: I also M1: T. MA: I also saw someone comment that if they were told if they're not using their own points, even if they're owners and they're not using their own points, then they can't get the free parking. We didn't experience that. We got we were able to get the free parking because you're a D V C owner. Just something I thought I'd add to. M1: Wow. I got free parking when I stayed and I was not using my DVC points to stay there either. But Olani does have cars you can rent from Olani, right? Do you know that? I M2: I know, I I know. M1: I believe that Olani has cars that you can rent from Olani. Don't quote me on that, but I'm pretty sure. Which, if that is true, which I'm hoping that Mouse Latoo is validating right now, if you are a family that thinks you're gonna mostly stay at Olani, but would maybe like to do a day or two off. that might be a more cost effective option than having paying for parking for a car the whole time. It's just really racks up the cost. M2: You are correct. There is you can take a shuttle also from the airport from Honolulu directly to Olani. And there's other shuttles like there's a Kahlua ranch shuttle. There's a couple of other things. but yes, enjoy the convenience, comfort, and flexibility of having a rental car. Guests can shop great rates at the airport through one of our preferred rentals, or visit the car rental counter at Olani Resort in the conference center. So. M1: Yeah, so I would look into that if depending on what your schedule is going to be. Because if you're paying for a rental car and forty dollars a day and parking, like, mm, yeah. MA: To laugh. M2: Yeah, adds up for sure. but yeah, in general the parking was a little chaotic. Something that we got on the day we arrived when our room wasn't ready was access to something called the Luana Lounge, where it's like there's little locker rooms you can change in. There's showers and things. People really hyped this up. We thought it was okay. We thought it was, you know, a place to change, but nothing more than that. So something I saw on TikTok before was that it was amazing. Yeah, it was basically a bathroom. It was, you know, it was nothing special. okay. We stayed in a one bedroom. Our special segment today is going to actually talk about David's vacation club rentals, who we rented points from to stay there. In general, best decision we ever made. In general, even not even if you're not staying in a one bedroom, you should try to rent DVC points because you will save so much money. Mouse at one just booked things later and did not get to rent DBC points. And you probably paid, I I'm not gonna like speculate, but I will thousands more, probably. Like day M1: Probably probably so much more. I don't even know, but a lot more. M2: renting DVC points is and we're again, we'll talk about it in the special segment because we got a lot of questions, but it truly is the best decision. Honestly, when we went to Disneyland, we rented DVC points for our room as well. Like it's just you save so much money. So again, we'll talk about that. But we had a one bedroom rented with David's mouse that I walk us through what the room was. MA: Well, first we had an island gar island garden view. M2: Mm-hmm. MA: just so so you can you can pick like ocean view. I think it's island garden, I think is what it's called. Or I think there's a third option of just saying standard, I think. M2: Yeah. Yep. MA: so just for reference, that's what we had. We kind of got lucky with where our room was because we actually could see the ocean from our our balcony still. So I loved our view. And we also are right over the where the luau happens, the lawn with a luau. So I I loved our room, but we had how the bathroom was set up was was really nice because there's a sink and bathtub separate from the the toilet and the shower. And I think that just was really nice because you we had so we had two sinks, really nice shower, full kitchen, full living room, really nice bedroom, two balconies. So a balcony off the bedroom and a balcony off the living room. And they weren't They weren't connected. They were all their own like separate balconies. I thought that was really nice. And they're angled. They're not just facing out. They were like angled. So it it made more sense. gave you more of like a view of the ocean. So I loved our room. If they were connected, that'd be cool. But it was fun that we had two. It was fun. I I really M2: I actually wish they were connected. I wish they were connected. It's like a small little thing. Yeah. It was fun that we had too. MA: I I loved our room. I loved our view. It was great. I don't think everyone, again, the island garden view, like it's you can't guarantee that you'll see the ocean. That's the whole point. If you want to guarantee the ocean, you'd ocean view, but you could get a view like ours and it was great. M2: One of the things that I really expected with Olani was just like a very dated room. from looking at videos and things. And, you know, when we think of Disney World resorts and like dated dated rooms, I'll give you a couple of examples. twenty eighteen. Twenty eighteen lore. I was just saying we gotta hit this button more. All-stars, all-star music, that crusty room before they updated it. That was M1: my god. Boof. M2: brutal. they've since updated it. But Animal Kingdom Launch is kind of a good example of like rooms that felt kind of dated, a little dark, really needs an update versus like the Polynesian Island Tower feels really new. Or like the new rooms at Caribbean Beach, if you've been in those, those feel pretty new. This room. What? What? Caribbean M1: I hate those rooms. I hate those rooms. You know that I hate those rooms. MA: Which rooms? M2: Beach? M1: Yes. New ones? Maybe I hate I hated the old ones. Maybe that's what I'm thinking of. M2: Caribbean Beach. I loved that, bro. No, no, no. You didn't MA: I haven't been there. M2: go you've never been in the old ones. You've only been in the new ones. M1: No, then I hated whatever room I was in. MA: The little little mermaid ones? M1: I hated whatever room I was in. M2: What d no, we weren't in Little Mermaid. What didn't you like? M1: I thought the theme was so not cohesive. I can't get into this right now, but I really did not like that room. M2: Wow. Okay. Well, I was just trying to provide an example that wasn't the Polynesian Island Tower. So I'm like, okay. I thought that the room it worked. There are a couple of things that I say would felt a little dated. The biggest one is the couch, because it's a true pullout couch. It's not a Murphy. That will 100% be updated soon. Like, no question that that's going to be changed. The bathrooms are fine. I thought the main bedroom was fine. Again, I think the living room maybe could have been updated a little bit. Mouse the one kept saying the kitchen cabinets looked really dated. They worked for me. They gave me Olani vibes. That didn't really bother me. M1: General felt this way when I stayed there as well. Like when you look online, I think it can be. I remember actually, this is a good example. The very first time that we ever stayed deluxe when we paid for it with our own money because we didn't know about renting DVC points yet. We stayed in the boardwalk. And the boardwalk rooms had like looked like a grandmother's attic. And in pictures, it looked so dated. In person, like it was actually a vibe. They have since redone them. But It still for some it like worked in person, even though they like were dated looking. M2: Yeah, it did. M1: Yeah, but it it was like a specific vibe. I feel the same way about Alani. Like it is a certain vibe and it really you're not in there feeling like, this room is kind of like maybe not worth what I'm paying. Like, no, it is. It is. M2: A great. A great it is. Okay. Getting into the things we did again. This isn't like in sequential order. I just have it broken out by like pools, beaches, characters, food, whatever. The pools. Mouse Lidae, why don't you we talked about it two weeks ago, but why don't you quickly just name the pools, what there was in case people missed that episode, and then talk about the insane thing with the lazy river. MA: So there's the Lazy River one that goes like, you know, like kind of all around. There is the main pool. And I think the the slide empties into the main pool. There's the grotto pool. like, or the the the mermaid cove. And there is also an adult's pool. So that's what? That's three three pools plus the the lazy river. I M2: Splash pad. MA: and end up like a splash pad, which actually looked really funny. M2: Playground. MA: like cool for for kids. I really liked obviously the Lazy River and I really liked the like grotto pool. I wasn't a huge fan of the main pool just because it just felt like a big main like it just felt like a big pool. It was pretty it was crowded. It didn't have like a s a fun theme like a lot of the others did. But there were I liked how many options there were because there are a lot of people at the resort, but you kinda can spread everyone out. So it was it was nice that you kinda could jump around from like space to space. And the adults only pull if you want to break as an adult from, you know, some of the kids, it was nice to have that space as well. M2: So I'm one, we ranked, and I'm curious to hear your ranking. We ranked our standings of pools and lagoons, including the lazy river, including the reef where you can snorkel, which we did, and including the lagoon, and I guess including the playground, but we didn't obviously do that. I'm curious to hear your rankings if you're favorite to least favorite of those. M1: my favorite was probably the Lazy River. Then maybe then probably the grotto pool. Then I guess Lagoon. Then probably like adults only, then the main pool. Did I get all of them? M2: What about the reef? M1: well the reef isn't really a pool. I guess the reef would be the reef would be like after the lagoon, maybe? M2: Okay. I think that's generally similar to kind of like what we felt. Mouse A ranked a lagoon first, actually though. MA: Yeah. It was just so fun just M1: interesting. MA: to like pop into the ocean. Again, it was very easy to float. It was so calm. It was just like it was just like something I've never really experienced before. So that was one for me. Just the the sand was like crazy. So yeah, that was that was one. M2: I love the sli I thought the slides were fun, especially the tube slide. The body slide was fun, but I felt like I was close to hitting my head. So it made me you know, it was like a little tight in there. I love the lazy river. As we're going down the lazy river, plywood on the bottom of the bridges of two of them. And we were like, that's I was like, that's so non Disney. Disney doesn't do stuff like that, even though their w construction walls are painted. So we were like so odd. Okay, Malsa Day, tell tell Malsa one about the tea. MA: So then I randomly got a I recently got like the Reddit app on my phone and I don't really know how to use it well. So randomly I'll get like notifications. I don't know what I'm doing. And I randomly got one pop-up for Olani and it said like lazy river emergency closure. And it's so I clicked it and it's it's this all this thread and it's true from October like 5th through the 9th, which we're already in that. They have to do an emergency closure of the lazy river because of the plywood holding up the the under the bridges, like there's something crumbling and they have to emergency fix it. And they had it's an emergency, so they couldn't warn anyone. Can you imagine? Everyone there right now had no heads up and the lazy river is going to be drained, worked on, and they also said you can if there's going to be like construction work going on, so you can enjoy the pool, but there's gonna be construction work going on. I am so sad for everyone who's there right now. M1: tha yeah, that would be a huge, huge, huge bummer. That sucks. You guys got lucky then. MA: We got so we missed it by a week. Could you M2: Literally major bumsky. MA: can you believe that? We missed it by a week. We're very lucky. M1: No. M2: I would have been so sad. M1: Did you guys spend time in like the infinity spas, the hot tubs? MA: Yes, yes, the floor. M2: Yes, we did. Well, unfortunately, so there's three hot tubs total, but what two of them are like connected. And that top one, because of the wind, one day or maybe two days was closed. And so we thought that the MA: Two days. M2: entire thing was closed of that one. And we kept looking, being like, I see people in it. We didn't understand there was a lower level. We were confused. So we ended up squeezing into the one with a million children for a bit. And then we discovered something else and we went in the other one. So We got to experience both, which I think was really special. obviously preferred the one that didn't have all like 25 million kids in it. Like get guys, guys, get your kids out of the like please. I'm like there actually was a kid in that one of that one too. I was like, ex th this is adults only, please. MA: Get the kids out of this hot tub. Like, my gosh. M1: That's why you have to go into the ones that are the adults only hot tubs. MA: Yeah. Yeah, a kid a kid made his way into the adult only one. M2: Like, okay, but we obviously didn't say anything. M1: Okay, like Scrooge is over there. Miss Trunch MA: Yes. M2: Okay. M1: Bulls. M2: The lagoons on our last day, we went on a long walk all the way from Lagoon One to Lagoon Four. Peach. So MA: Peach. M2: fun. So fun. There was also like Olani is developed and then there's like an empty site and then developed and then empty site. And that's how it was. And there like these abandoned staircases from when they built these in the eighties of undeveloped sites, which was really cool. we loved lagoon one, three, four, and then two. Lagoon two is meh, but MA: Yeah. M2: It was really fun to kind of see those. I encourage anyone to go for a long walk. It was it was so much fun on the path. MA: on the path. Yeah, it was really cool. M2: Also, if you walk towards the four seasons, which was not used in the movie forgetting Sarah Marshall, despite false false news, fake news MA: Forget yep, mistake. That was the Ritz Carlton. M1: If you saw our stories, you guys talked about that so much and were wrong like 27 different times. Like M2: It was Mouse Leday. Okay. MA: It was all me. It was M2: It was only MA: all me. M2: Mouse La Day. Yeah, thank you. It was only Mouse Leday. Anyway, we were over at one of the beaches. We saw a seal, which was really, really cool sleeping. We saw him actually two days. And we saw the band Fifth Harmony. If anyone knows that knows who that is. MA: Okay. Yeah. A lot of people don't know weren't like recognizing them from my thing. It's Diana Jane and Allie Brooke are the two of the members and they were just there on a vacation and they were looking at the seal the same time we were and I said, my gosh, hi guys and they were so nice and it was so much fun and Fifth Harmony is a little slept on. M1: I never would have I never would have recognized them ever. MA: I got them like that. M1: And even in your video, you kind of like mumble where you say Fifth Harmony. And I was like, sorry, who are these people? I thought they were gonna be like Bravo stars because I was like, I've literally no idea who these people are. But it is very cool M2: They were so nice, actually. M1: that you saw them and talked to them. MA: Yeah, it was a peach. M2: It was. It was so nice. Okay. I knew this would be long, but we're getting running through a few things. In general, MA: Gotta speed it up. Gotta speed it up. M2: on a honeymoon, when we got to our room, they sent us chocolate covered strawberries. Just Olani. Olani just did that. And people said, like, they sent me stitch covered strawberries. Not sure exactly. It's like stitch themed, maybe once. But like someone else got stitch covered strawberries. M1: Someone told you they sent you stitch covered strawberries. M2: I okay. Chocolate stitches. I'm not sure. But in general, M1: Yeah. M2: like every meal, and Mouse the one said the same thing, like you was celebrating something, they'd bring you a special dessert. They wrote like happy honeymoon and chocolate. I think they did a really, really good job because a lot of people go there to celebrate. I think they did a really good job just making it super special for us. And like honestly, as well, in Hawaii in general, as like a gay couple, it's always like, like, you know, never forget when we told the photopath photographer we got married at Disney World and she said, married? To each other. MA: To each other? M2: I felt very comfortable. Like everyone was just super nice, which was great. characters. Characters are all around the pool area. I really wanted to be M1: Were the lines crazy for you though? Because they MA: Mm-hmm. M2: Yes. Like I M1: were for me. MA: Yes. M2: wanted to meet Chip and Dale. Those lines were out of control. And I got to see him a couple of times and I was like, it's fine. Olumel was our priority. We saw him out one day. We got in line. We waited like 40 minutes. It was crazy, but it was so fun. He's a turtle from Duffy and Friends. He was so cute. But a funny story is that at the DVC booth, they were like, Hey, guess what? Olumel's meeting tomorrow. So like you can go meet him again. It's just for DVC members. And we were like, yeah. Like We're gonna go get in the super short Ulumel line. We'd show up, it's like fifty people deep. We were like, I yeah, everyone clearly was a DVC. Yep. So I was like, okay, MA: It was crazy. M1: Yeah, D V C D V C is everywhere out yeah, at Olani. Like yeah, no. M2: that's not special. We also met MA: We were very naive. M2: Stitch, which I loved. I wanted to meet Shelly May and Duffy and Angel, but they were just infrequently out and like I couldn't just be queuing for characters all day. So that was really fun. okay, meals quickly, ama ama, super expensive. The nicest meal. We got an amazing table. We didn't cry like mouse lit C. but it was so good. It was amazing. M1: W did did it live up to the hype other than the crying? M2: Yes, it was good. It was very, very good, I would say. M1: Did you love it? M2: They brought a champagne at the start, which was fun. They I had the best mushroom I've ever tasted in my entire life. M1: my god, you're giving the Boma tomato, the best tomato I've ever had. M2: my God, speaking of best tomato I ever had. Yeah, best the best mushroom. I ate that mushroom and I said, honestly, my mouth is salivating at the thought. M1: No. M2: It was seriously. I mean, it's like I don't know how they cooked that, but it was so good. It was like small portions. It's just like it's fan you know, it's fancy food. It was like one mushroom on MA: Yeah, it's like higher end, so it's yeah, it's like a small portion. M2: my plate. MA: Yeah. But you got a couple M1: think yeah it's it's one of those things that it's like the food is really really good however we are not exactly foodies but the food is still really really good but the vibe it's like the ambiance and the vibe is just like special. M2: They brought us, they were like, we'll bring you an amuse bouche, which I'm like I know French, I'm like a happy MA: We said Okay. M2: mouth, and I was like M1: You've never heard of Amuse Bouche? MA: I haven't. M2: Here's here let me tell you a fact. You lived in New York and you like expensive M1: Yeah. M2: and fancy things. I you like go to Michelin restaurant type things. I don't really like that. I'm just like not into fanciful things. And so like I don't really experience those things. I don't really like to drink. M1: The pizza the pizza restaurant in your town doesn't offer amuse bouches? MA: you know, they might. They probably do. They M2: You know what? It probably does. They have everything on MA: probably do. M2: the menu. So, M1: Yeah, the sorry, the pizza restaurant that sells every single cuisine. MA: Every every cuisine. M2: No no no spoilers. No spoilers. Okay. that's Ama Ama. I would say if you're going to Alani and celebrating anything as adults, I would highly recommend MA: As adults. M2: it. It's worth the splurge. I if if you have tons of money, bring your kids here. If you don't, I would never bring kids here. Unless you like literally MA: I would not bring your kids unless M2: have can have so much money that it just doesn't matter and they can like but I wouldn't ever I would never bring my kids there. Or I'd MA: No. M2: say no no food for you. MA: Yeah, just sit here with mommy. M2: Eat before. M1: No, I would not. Yeah, like it it's just it's very, very expensive to have a kid at. However, it is an unbelievably special, memorable meal. On the other hand, let's talk about the other one. We can be honest with our listeners. M2: I mean, so Makahiki is another, it's a restaurant. They do the character breakfast, but at dinner, since COVID, they've changed to a fixed price dinner, which means that everyone has to get an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert. eighty-five dollars a head plus tip. I think Mouse Day got a drink. Maybe I might have gotten a drink too. Maybe we shared a drink. MA: We shared a drink. M2: no, I think we actually got two drinks. I'm thinking of the picture where we were cheersing. I think we got two pictures. MA: you're right. You're right. M2: So that also brought the cost up. I don't remember what I got for an appetizer, honestly, but I know that mouse that I got the Mahi MA: Soup. M2: Mahi yeah, soup. Mahi Mahi for dinner and I got a vegan pasta with vegan sausage because they didn't have too much that I could, you know, eat. But I'm always fine with something like that. It was just as good as the pizza place in my town. Like the f again. M1: And you know what guys, just I want you to know that is really not saying much, okay? MA: No, M2: No, I'm saying like it was good. The food was good. Again, as I MA: the food I think the food is fine. The problem is the price. The food's fine. I had no issues M2: Yes. MA: with what I ate. The fact that I had to pay eighty-five dollars fixed price and then I had to get an appetizer. I had to get a dessert. We each separately had M2: He was like, I don't want the soup. MA: to get them. That's the problem. The food tasted fine, but it was not worth the money. That's that's the kicker. That's it. M2: They M1: Yes. M2: had live music there, which was fun. okay, M1: Interesting, they did not when I was there, I don't think. M2: they had like an ukulele player, which I thought was fun, and I enjoyed the that. M1: Is it pronounced ukulele? M2: Yes. M1: Learn something new every day. M2: Learned that from my ukulele lessons at the Luau. In general, like again, here's why I feel guilty. Okay. There was this picture of the chef outside the restaurant and I'm picturing the chef. You know what this reminds me of? You know what? This is some more 2018 lore. I'm so happy to bring this button back. I got something from Crystal Palace and it was not good and I was like sick at the thought that the chef would know I didn't like it. And so I ate the entire thing and I didn't like it. That's how I'm feeling right now. I almost can't talk about it anymore. M1: No, but no, but listen, you did like it. The chef did a great job. You didn't like the price. M2: I did like it. I didn't like the price. And I don't want them to force me to order that MA: Right, M2: much food. But here's the thing that makes me sad. I'd tell you to skip it. I'd tell you guys to skip it. MA: right. That's it. It's just that the price didn't match. That's all. Yeah, I would skip it because it's not worth the money that they that that you are required to pay. That's all. M1: But your compliments to that chef. Now M2: Compliments to the chef. M1: I'm gonna skip for a sec. Let's talk about Makahiki's character breakfast. Because I thought it was very interesting that we met different characters and someone else was damning us and they met different characters too. M2: So you met Goofy, Max, Mickey, and Pluto. We M1: Mickey Pluto, yes. M2: met Mickey, Minnie, and Max. So we had one less character. MA: That's it. Yeah. M2: I would say. M1: Mouse today doesn't seem thrilled. M2: So the Maka MA: No, I mean M2: Hiki, it's the same sort of you get a malasada, Portuguese donut. Not nearly as good as Leonard's, but still good, but not nearly as good. Fruit. MA: Nearly, not even close. M2: A main course. And we had like six drinks on our table. We had water, pog juice, and iced coffees. Drink goblin. She was like laughing MA: Yeah. Coffee. M1: my gosh, ladies, ladies, sip don't guzzle. M2: her head off after we asked for coffee and then pog juice and then water. She was like, there was live music, which I loved. I really was really digging the live music. I thought it was fun. I thought the food was decent. I wasn't that hungry. Actually, wait. I thought Mel Ceday's Mickey Waffles were the worst Mickey waffles I've ever tasted in my life. I forgot about that. They were bad. Genuinely the red velvet ones were bad. MA: They were a little they they were a little they had red velvet ones M1: my god. MA: and regular ones. They were just a little too well done. That was they just M2: It wasn't even that. They didn't M1: Wow. M2: even taste good either. My my pancakes were pretty good though, and we kinda shared each. M1: Were they worse th were they worse than the vanilla pancakes that I had at All Star Music or All Star Movies? M2: I mean M1: No, they can't possibly MA: No way, they were fine. Though M1: have been worse. MA: my only problem with them was that they were a little like they were just a little little too well done. They were just that's all. M2: Let me tell you, if I was at a buffet and they had like Mickey Waffles, scrambled eggs and fruit, and that's the only things at the buffet, I would have not eaten those Mickey waffles. That's so if that tells you anything. I would just say like if you're going there, just don't order the Mickey Waffles. But the pancakes were good. I'm just want to be honest, but the pancakes were really good. I liked the vibe. I liked the Malasada. I liked the fruit. I loved our waitress. She was great. I thought that, yeah, what do you think of the characters, Mal Saday? MA: There wa I didn't I mean we just we didn't have enough because Mickey doesn't roam, you just meet Mickey when you walk in. So we only had two characters roaming. We had Minnie and Max. So I you could you could you M2: We also met Mickey MA: could feel that there was a character missing. So I don't know what the deal is. M2: And we met Mickey inside 'cause it was raining and they like didn't take pictures of Flash. I was like, we used Flash, but like that you know, but that was, I mean, not a huge deal. But yeah, I think we could have used one more character. Minnie did stop by our table twice. MA: Definitely one more, probably two. Yeah, because it was so awkward that we met two characters in the first like twenty minutes. I don't know what something was up that day. I think normally they have more romance. M2: They don't guarantee it M1: I think that M2: on the website though. M1: if you are with kids and you really want to meet characters, like we said earlier, the lines for characters can be so long. And normally you do get to take a picture with Mickey outside, which is a very good picture because you're outside at Alani and it's nice. so that is like a nice way to do it. I assume the price is like a standard character breakfast price. I assume it's expensive. Yeah. MA: It was like sixty dollars a head, I think. M2: 58, I think. I would still recommend it. And again, like it really comes out the food was good, not the Mickey Waffles, but the food was good at the Makahiki dinner and breakfast. I love the vibe. I would just say if you're thinking about budget and that's like a consideration, which it is for many of us, I would just pick one of them and I would probably pick the breakfast just because there are characters and that's fun. MA: Agreed. M1: We're gonna talk about quick service in a second, but did you like the Olello room? I didn't really hear any review of the Olello Room. MA: Yes. We only went we only went the very last night, Wednesday M2: We were the last day. MA: night, and I liked it. I really liked what I got. and M1: The Alala Room is like a lounge for those that don't didn't listen to the episode. MA: Yes, we could just walk right in. they had like more so of small bites, but you could order enough to be full. Like we we ordered too much food. We we were like, this isn't gonna be enough. Let's share something. A sushi roll. Yeah. M2: We were worried a roll would be too tiny, but it was a giant roll, sushi roll. MA: There it was plenty of food. So you could definitely what was nice is that you don't need to really have a reservation. You can just kind of walk in as and I like the yeah, I like the vibe in there. I like the decor behind the bar. So that I wish we maybe did that one more night. M2: I thought it was fun. I agree. I think it's it was nice to just kind of pop in. The dessert was good, the food was good. I think it's a a nice option to have and kind of underrated. M1: I agree, it's underrated. Okay, quick service. M2: Okay. So at the quick service, we show up to the quick service spot. Off the hook. It's not quick service. We were confused. It's not quick MA: We are confused. M2: service. It's like a quasi quick service. I can't really compare it to anything at Disney Parks because it's not really anything like that. I guess it's maybe comparable to like almost like a docking base seven, but like n different. Well, just because it comes MA: Co no. Like a Kona like Kona c like Kona Cafe where like there's never you never really need a reservation, M2: Yeah, Kona Cafe, sure. MA: but you can also order takeout M2: But you have to tip no matter what you're tipping, it's a 20% tip that's added on, even if you order takeout. So it's like it's not a quick service. They do serve you and it's kind of like a casual vibe. I thought the food was really good there. but we were confused, thought that was more of like a quick service place. It was just the price type thing. But I enjoyed the food there. We also got coffee MA: Yeah, I liked I liked it there. M2: there two mornings. They didn't have any special coffees while we were there because they were transitioning between seasonal and things. But I got the Olani special, which is a macadamia, not coffee. I really liked it. Thought it was great. Would have gotten a little less syrup. And then we both got these like gluttonous frozen coffees, which were amazing. And it was like a milkshake and they were so good. So MA: Yep, they were. M2: I feel like you didn't get really good coffee from there when you were there, M1. M1: We did. We got like some specialty lattes when we were there. It was good. That place reminds me of there's a place I can picture near Sebastian's Bistro. That's like banana cabana or something. And it's like an outdoor like pool side restaurant. M2: In the the pink section? MA: It kinda gives like a geyser's point kind of too ish. M2: Yeah, it gives guys point, kind of. Yeah. Ulu M1: Yeah. Mm-hmm. M2: Cafe was the actual quick service. The thing about Ulu Cafe is that they didn't have a good system to bring food out. It took a really long time. We ended up mo if you're not ordering like a bowl, you should just mobile order because it took like 30 minutes for food to come out from a quick service place, which is pretty long. But they had amazing breakfast flatbread that I said, this is so good. I'm gonna make this at home. it was so good. Mousel. M1: You were obsessed with that thing. MA: It was good. It was good. M2: I I was I ate like a couple of slices of it and I had saved it for later and she picked it up and threw it in the trash and didn't tell me. And then I I was gonna eat it and she goes MA: C hours went by and I thought, Let me M1: Ha ha ha. MA: let me clean up our pool chair area and I threw it out and I feel awful, but honestly, it probably wasn't good anyway at that point. Hours had gone by. M2: It probab sure. but we ate there a bunch of times. They ate an amazing poke bowl, which I loved there. Then there's also Mama's snack shack. There's another place down by the lagoon, and then there's shave ice. We didn't do the snack sh no, Mal said I did do the snack shack. She got corn MA: Yeah. M2: dogs. MA: Yeah, and they were so good. They were so good. my god, they were s they were M1: I hate corn dogs. MA: like they were so good. It was a peach. M2: We got shave ice three times and it was fantastic. I guess what? I prefer the Olani shave M1: You guys were shaved ice fiends. MA: I wanted to try all M2: ice. I prefer the Olani Shave Ice compared to the other one we got. I liked the ice crystals. MA: I I don't, I don't. I liked the Matsu Matsumoto and North Shore. I don't know if I'm saying that right, but it was soft. That they have softer ice. I liked them better. I wanted to try all the flavors though. That's why we kept going back. M2: Yeah, it was really fun. M1: You were fiends. M2: okay. Couple of other things. The luau. It was so fun. It was so special. It M1: Wait, I MA: Wow. M1: can't believe that my luo closed. Did you why? The luo that I went to MA: Yeah. He sold the land, M2: I know you're a little they sold that the MA: I think. M2: owner of the lot sold it for like a fifty billion dollar something, like something it's four hundred fifty million dollars something, like huge development. MA: Huge development. Paradise Cove, if anyone knows, is no longer. M1: Yeah, I went to that luau. my god. M2: It was open for 47 years. So did the people next to us. What I would say about the luau is first off, I didn't know that a luau was always had different activities. So that was really fun. There was ukulele lessons, which we loved. You could get like little flower lays on your wrist. You could get temp tattoos and you could learn how to make poi. I did all of them except the temp tattoo. M1: Is a temp tattoo a temporary tattoo? M2: Yeah, it was like with like charcoal though, 'cause we just showered, we didn't want to like MA: Yes. Like yeah, we had just showered, so it's like kinda like the markings on your arm. Yeah. Yeah. M2: Kind of like what Maui has, but not permanent. but the lua, we were seated with other people side by side. We're across from each other. It gave cruise energy. Like you're chatting with the people next to you just like we did on our like our first cruise and we were seated with randoms in like a fun way, but in a way that I was like, this is very cruise. Like it would be really hard to not speak to the people next to you. MA: In a way that just reassured me, I said, Oof, I'm not a cruise gal, not a cruiser, hashtag not a cruiser. Luckily the people next to us were actually really nice and fun to talk. They were both D V C owners. M2: Both sides. MA: They were both world. They were both like world people. Like I enjoyed talking to both of them, but I was just like, Wow, I couldn't I can't I can't do it. I can't do it. M1: I'm pretty sure the Luo I went to like it wasn't sold out until we were able to sit with like a MA: Okay. M1: seat between us. But that does make sense. M2: But yeah, I I'm sick that it wasn't sold out. Don't tell me that. The Lua was amazing. It'll be in the vlog more that I actually have clips, but it was really well done. MA: It was it was amazing. I loved it. M2: And I was so impressed at like the performance, like the quality of it. okay, the final couple things. We did eat at Monkey Pod. Everyone said, go to Monkey Pod, go to Monkey Pod. It's across the street. So Monkey Pod is across M1: I'm curious to hear what you thought. I ate there. M2: the street. Monkey Pod, in my mind, is the pizza place in my town. It's a regular place that MA: No, but it's better than that. M2: well. M1: It's better than that pizza place in your town. That pizza place in your town is the bottom of the barrel, okay? M2: Okay, all right, roasting the but like in general I thought it was a good restaurant. I didn't like the Mai Thai, but I think I just don't like Mai Thai's. I'm realizing I'm just not a Mai Thai fan. MA: Yeah, I think we're just not my type people. Mm-hmm. M2: the food was good. M1: I go ahead. M2: The food was good. Everyone told us to get some the pie. I would skip the pie personally. MA: No, I think we were just full at the time. I I wish we did monkey pod like twice, skipped a Maha Hiki dinner, just because it would feel like a regular restaurant, just like a regular setting, just better prices, big menu. the M2: The prices, yeah. The prices, the regular part of it was really nice. Yeah. MA: pie, I think we were just too full to enjoy it. I think that was honestly the problem. M2: Person personally, I wasn't too full. I didn't like the pie, but I did like the food that I got. So and I would go again. Like I th but people like it's the best thing ever. No, it's just an affordable, M1: Yeah. MA: It's a good option. M2: decent restaurant. MA: It's a a nice option. M1: People hyped up Monkey Pod. Like you have to go. It's incredible. And like it was good. I had absolutely no problems with it. But I did not feel any, I was like, okay, that was like good. But it was not, it was way too overhyped me. I think people really overhype it and perhaps have a nostalgic attachment to it. MA: Yeah. M1: But just know that like it's a restaurant. It's good, well-priced restaurant. MA: Yes, agreed. M2: Yeah. We also went to another place called like 808 something brew house, I think. Craft MA: Craft craft house. M2: house. I also enjoyed that. the merch, mouse at a you can take this. MA: I went crazy. I was excited. The merch was fun. I'm realizing some of it wasn't exclusive to Olani. Some of it, like I guess the Duffy and Friends plushes are sold in World, Disney World. but it it was fun. they have a they have a lot of different pins, Alani pins, they have a lot of different like Olumel themed things. the stores in general, kind of like your typical Disney World hotel or Disneyland, had like sections of just like Food and toiletries and things like that too. But we had fun, we bought some gifts, bought some things for ourselves. That was a peach. good. M1: I can't wait to see. I didn't I did not watch that video where you did your merch hall. M2: Probably, I'll be honest, I'm probably considering keeping the Mickletz gift. He will literally never know. He will never know. He won't know. Maybe I'll swap it out M1: Absolutely not. Absolutely not. But I'll know and you'll know. So no. MA: He'll never know, he'll never know. M2: for him. Okay, the final thing I wanted to talk about was the spa. We did 80 minute massages. It was so relaxing. It was so nice. We got to use the like rainforest room area. I guess it's not rainforest room. It's like outdoor garden or something. But They had a reflexology walkway. They had these outdoor showers, which seemed like weird, but like you're in a bathing suit, FYI. And like they were really good. They had a cold plunge, which I did. MA: They're cool. M2: They had two hot, three hot tubs, one of which was set to a temperature for expectant mothers, which I thought was MA: Expected mothers. M2: cool. Not hot enough that M1: That's cool. M2: we went in that one. No. it was so relaxing. Honestly, it was amazing. We drank so much like infused water, got some snacks. It was a must do. yeah. MA: The the tables the tables were kind of M2: It was like my anti gravity massage thing that I got on the MA: Yeah. M2: the wish, which was incredible. I was M1: That you were obsessed with. M2: like reborn after that massage. I was reborn. MA: Yeah, I was like I was like, whoa, what position am I in now? They're voicing you up, they're M1: Ha ha. MA: putting you down. It was it was nice. M2: Okay, let's wrap it up with a final review and a kind of a rating and Mouse One, you can do it too, of Olani. And I'm gonna review Olani as exactly what it is, which is a Disney resort on Oahu that offers all of these things, knowing that I would obviously wanna leave my resort and go do other things as well. So all right, Mouse Leday, you can start. MA: I mean, I think it's gr I think it's great. I think it's beautiful. I think it's fun. I felt like I was in like I don't know if I want to say luxury, but like kind of luxury in the way of just I I loved the offerings that they had. I I thought it was beautiful on the water. I mean, we had great weather, but it just I get sometimes antsy when I'm like sitting at a pool or if I'm like, wow, we're going to the beach all day today like a beach occasion. I didn't feel that way at all here. It was just beautiful. And if you're a Disney fan, it's like the perfect happy medium of like being in Hawaii but having the touch of Disney. if you're ever able to go. I mean, I a hundred percent loved it. M2: What would you rate it out of ten? MA: I think I'd rate it like a nine out of ten. M2: Wow. All right, mouse that one. M1: Olani to me is for me, Olani is a 10 out of 10. And like on my honeymoon, I went to Hawaii, Tahiti, and Bora Bora. like in Bora Bora, we were staying in an overwater bungalow. Like it was amazing. It was so cool. It was like ultimate luxury. Olani is not that. Like there are kids there. It's a family resort. But I think that for what Olani is, like a Disney resort in Hawaii, Olani is like basically perfect to me. Like I truly love everything that they did and the way that they did it. I think perhaps the only thing that would lower it, although I'm not gonna lower my 10, is like, as we perhaps alluded to in this conversation, I think a nor a more normal restaurant would be helpful, like rather than these kind of like prefix restaurants. I think that's like a little bit harder. but for what it is, I really, really do. I love Helani. M2: I would give it a nine point six five. M1: my god. M2: Higher than a nine point five, not quite a nine point seven five. nine point six five. The price is a little bit high for me. I thought that the Ulu Cafe and like the ordering and things and the wait was a little bit frustrating, took a little long. And then like I don't love I like Koalina, which is where it is, but I do not really love the west side of the island personally. I didn't love like a portion of the drive that I was, you know, we're passing like factories and things. I was like, meh, but Yeah, it's a 9.65. I thought it was basically per I mean, it was incredible. It was an amazing time. And something I want to say is that a bunch of people ask questions being like, this feels so unfeasible, infeasible for us to even ever consider going. And so that's why this special segment's gonna talk about DVC points. I do want to quickly mention we did fly to Disneyland after Olani. It was really to kind of help break up the flight back. We went to OG Boogie Bash. We did two days at Disneyland and we went to a event that Disney invited us to called Huluween. It was so much fun. I feel like I want to run through maybe just like pits a couple pits and peaches of Disneyland Mouse today. I think we can start with an obvious pit. It was a hundred and MA: Obvious pit. M2: two degrees both days. MA: Crazy heat wave both days. Peaked at 102. Very hot. Made it a little hard. But you know what? well. We still had fun. But it was a little bit of a pit. It was pretty hot. M2: Another pit for me is that we didn't take enough resort time. Part of it was just because we were with MA: Classic. M2: Taryn and we wanted to like make sure we were doing stuff for the park. But I wish we had done more resort time. So that's maybe another pit. M1: Wait, what did you th what did you think, Melsiday, of that other pool at Disneyland Hotel? MA: I liked it. I yeah, I didn't know it existed. I was asking Mousa too. I'm like, did they add this pool when they built this? Blah, blah, blah. And so we went in the last day. I yeah, I liked it. I like I think it's a good other option. More chill back there too. Yeah. A M1: I thought so too when we went last time. I thought it like a very nice ad. MA: big massive pit for me was I did not get enough time in downtown Disney. I explicitly asked. For time in downtown Disney, I think downtown Disney is superior to Disney Springs. And I said I can't M2: You wanted to go to Toontown instead. MA: and I said I can't wait to just really soak in downtown Disney on this trip. I wanna, you know, go get happy ice, I wanna go to stores, I wanna go into the trading post, Star Wars, and barely got any time there. M2: Yeah, we got we were McKim Park obsessive. It's a trap. Okay, a couple of peaches. MA: Classic mouse let's classic. M2: The Oogie Boogie Bash took away their parade because of construction. They added something called the swinging week, which is like a Madame Leota type thing, haunted mansion. I was obsessed. The choreography, the costume, it was incredible. There's if you're on Oogie Boogie Bash, just like look up the places you should sit. Because if you're not sitting in one of the places where the show stops, you'd have a different experience. But that was a huge peach for me. I thought it was incredible. And that was probably my peach of Oogie Boogie Bash, actually, was that. Any peaches from Oogie Boogie Bash, Mal Saday? MA: I really enjoyed the character walkthroughs. I don't think I I'm trying to think of M2: The treat trails. MA: not so scary in the past, but I think these these characters felt a little more unique to me. Like even like the Oogie Boogie guy and the person from Oogie Boogie. Oogie Boogie. And I'm M1: The the Oogie Boogie guy. Oogie Boogie. Or M2: Oog the Oogie Boogie guy. Oogie Boogie. M1: as one of our friends calls him Oogie Boogie. M2: Oogie boogie. MA: And I'm not remembering his name, but the the the guy from Coco. What's his name? Yeah, he was great. He M2: Ernesto de la Cruz. M1: Delacruz, Ernesto, Ernesto. MA: was great. So I think those those character walkthroughs were like a peach for me in Oogie Boogie. M2: I'd agree and I would also add the the grove, the villains grove area. It's like a walkthrough. Very fun. MA: Yes, that was cool and unique. M2: Okay, a couple of pits and peaches of Disneyland and our kind of two days there. we loved the Nightmare Before Christmas haunted mansion overlay. They do a special overlay. If you don't know, don't no, no, no, no. No, no, no, no, no. No, no, no, no, no. M1: No, you two have hated haunt it so much, hated Nightmare before Christmas so much that now you like it. MA: Never me, never me, M2: She bought she bought a Jack MA: never me. M2: Skellington pin. M1: Yeah, exactly. You guys take things that we hate and then you actually like them because you hate them. Nope. Sorry, you you always liked Jack Skellington growing up. I thought you're Jack Skellington's number one hater. M2: Yeah, I know, I love it. I love Stitch now. MA: liked it growing up. I I don't like Stitch. I don't like St. Sorry, sorry. No, I always liked I always liked that movie, M2: Than she was. MA: but then it turned into a bit where everyone pretended I loved him. I said, No, no, no, no, no. That's not what's happening here. And then it turned into this, it just it just kept spiraling out of control. It was a lot of fun. M2: We do love but now we but now we do love him. Anyway, we did that twice actually. We l really liked it. I had a a really I enjoyed it a lot. I thought it was really, really fun, actually. MA: Mm-hmm. M2: another peach for me, and I think Mouse Day probably as well. We finally saw Batu Galaxy's Edge with the new timeline. And that was really cool. I'll say it's very subtle. MA: Very M2: Yes, they swapped the characters. You see Darth Vader instead of Kylo Ren. And they did swap some bann the banners out. But like if you don't know the emblems of like the Empire, you wouldn't understand. We saw Luke. We saw Darth Vader. M1: was how was Luke's wig? MA: Luke Luke chatted up a store with us. He was they were we just talked to him for a while. M2: Okay, actually we hadn't he was flirting with Taryn. not actually, but like they had a little a little heat. But it was he was really fun. He did actually a great job. His wig did not offend me as much as yeah, his wig was decent. MA: He was okay his wig was okay, yeah. His wig was okay. M2: We also saw it's I it's I feel like M1: Has it been changed or is it still that horrid way that I saw? MA: Still it's still that way, but it was okay in person. M2: it's better. we also saw M1: Okay. M2: Anakin and he'd stopped and talked MA: No no M2: to us. MA: no no no no no no no no Anakin Fader. Yeah Fader talked M2: Darth Darth Vader, yeah. M1: Yeah, don't call Darth Vader Ann seriously, don't call Darth Vader Anakin, you pick me girl. MA: And Ray. We talked to Ray. We talked to Ray. She was good. She was she was good. M2: I'm not a Pikmy girl. We saw Ray as well. one thing that kind of like when you walk into the land, they're now playing the iconic Star Wars music, which I love, but technically, you're supposed to be on a planet in the outer room. They shouldn't be playing like cinematic music. It should just be the sounds of the planet. So I was like, but I like it, but I'm like, does it fit? it's MA: Yeah, but I like it. M2: super subtle. Mouse of one, honestly, I don't even think you would understand it. Like maybe you would understand if you saw M1: I'm sure I wouldn't. MA: Now M2: Darth Vader walking around and like, but that's like you can't tell. You genuinely can't tell, really. okay. MA: Quick other Peter Me. Last thing, Quick Other Peter Me was just finally seeing like the like the Halloween decor at Disneyland. M2: Mm. MA: I was so excited to see like the big pumpkin in the front. Cause they don't do that at Disney World, right? Yeah, I loved that. That it just felt like Halloween town. I really liked the decor. And the entrance. Yes. So good. M1: My favorite is the pumpkins at the entrance. Those are my favorite. They're so cool. MA: Even the decor ent entering, California Adventure is really fun. So I think they just do that better than Disney World. M2: I'll say my final peach for this, and then we'll get into our special segment. My final peach was that I feel like I am really kind of taking ownership over Disneyland. Like I own it. In the past I've always felt like not in comparison to you, but like I feel like sometimes I'm like a tourist. I'm a visitor, but I'm like, no, now I I like I know it. It's like my second, it's another home. It's a home after Disney World and Disneyland Paris. So like I feel like I really like connect with it now and I know the ins and outs a lot more. because we've gone so much of late. So I really enjoyed that. But We have a full vlog that will go up of Disneyland also in the next couple of weeks. The final thing I'll say is we went to a special Disney event called Huluween. So so so exciting that Disney invited us and I have a recap up of that. That was another, you know, exciting thing, a peach to be invited to that. But special segment. M1: Let's get into the special segment. So, as Mouse Latin mentioned, she rented DVC points to go and stay at Olani. And so I feel like whenever we're sort of extensively talking about renting DVC points, people ask us, like, how do you do that? And so we wanted to run through sort of a quick overview of how you can do it. And I wanted to start with very quickly what is renting DVC points, which is basically that DVC owners purchase a certain number of Points. That's what their contract is for. They're buying points that they receive each year and different rooms have different point values. So, like there's different room types, a studio, one bedroom, two bedroom, different room views, of course, different resorts, time of year, time of week, and those all have different point values. DVC members can spend their points on those rooms. But you actually, as someone who's renting DVC points, like don't really need to fully understand the point system. All you really need to know is that if a DVC owner Is not going to use all their points that year for whatever reason, they can rent them to someone else. Technically, owning a timeshare, which is what DVC is, is the same as like owning a piece of property. So that is why they are able to rent out their points. M2: in general, if you want to rent points, there's a couple of different ways to do it. And honestly, honestly, it's not hard. It's not confusing. It seems so overwhelming, but like you don't have to do anything crazy. There's different ways to do it. So one is you can rent them directly from someone from a Facebook group. Do not recommend doing this. They can scam you. Like it could work out for you, or they can lit M1: Wait, my God, have you seen this huge scandal that's going on right now in the DVC community? The DVC M2: The D V C community, what is who is M1: rent, no, there is like a huge, huge, huge scandal where someone M2: No. M1: named Jason, I don't know, Jason was like acting as like a broker almost for people who wanted to rent DVC points and people who had points to rent and had all of these reservations set up. Like tons and tons and tons and tons of people are affected by this. And it turns out the whole thing was a scam. Like I think he was actually scamming both sides, like scamming the people who were like renting the points, scamming the people who had the points to rent. It's like a huge scandal in the community and it's affecting a zillion people, anyways. It is like the perfect reason why you should not do it that way. It's actually been very bad. Yes. M2: I didn't hear about that, but that's insane. So anyway, there's companies that are literally incredibly legitimate. There's multiple. There's one that we use, which is David's Vacation Club Rentals. That's what we started using in 2021 on our first day that we rented DVC Points at Saratoga Springs. And that is the only company we've ever used. And honestly, since we started using David's, they've significantly upgraded their website, which I think is great. And they've also added a policy that if you, you know, can't take your trip for whatever reason, that they have like a a better process in place for like how you can get back money or rebook a different trip and things. the biggest thing I would say about Davids is that they have such good customer service. And as an example, so I rented DBC points for me and Mouse Leday at Disneyland on our honeymoon. Disneyland hotels notoriously sell out very, very quickly. So I was put on the wait list for Davids. And then I was kind of confused about the process and I emailed them being like, And they it responded so quickly and walked me through all of it. They just have such great customer service. And again, there's other companies. David's is who we use. I would certainly recommend them, especially if you're trying to get into it. And I also will say that Mouselit 1 has a full YouTube video up that uses David's new website. I have one that uses the old one. I'll say one more thing. We're going to refer to it as David's. Mouselit A gets confused and thinks that we are talking about David, the man who owns the company. We are talking about the company David's, not to be confused with David, the specific man M1: Ha ha M2: who owns MA: Well M2: the company. M1: So on David's, not David the Man, but David the Company's website, they have something called a cost calculator. And this is where you can put in your trip dates to see the costs. If you put in your trip dates, it will just show you the cost for every single room type at every single DVC hotel, which is basically every single deluxe hotel. and the thing I always tell people is that when you're looking, reminder that this is the total price for your trip. Because sometimes it's so low that people think that they're looking at the nightly price. So I had pulled some random prices back when I made the YouTube video. This was looking at a price for a single Thursday night in July 2027. $240 for a room at Animal Kingdom Lodge, $286 for a room at the boardwalk, $336 M2: That's insane. M1: for a room at Riviera, like literally moderate prices for some of Disney's best resorts. It the prices are Unbelievable. Davids has more information on their website if you really want to hunt for like some amazing, amazing deals, but the prices are 30 to 50% lower than Disney. And so that's where you want to start is the cost calculator. That's where you're going to see what the price would be. And then the way that the system works is because Davids has to find someone with points available to rent to you and then check if Disney Vacation Club actually has that, you know, reservation available. You would put in a request. And so again, in the YouTube video I have, it walks you through step by step. But basically the way the request works is that you're going to choose the hotel you want, put in some information about your guests. You can choose backup hotels. If if hotel one isn't available, I want hotel two or hotel three. I mean, that's pretty much it. It's like a very simple process. They'll take a deposit. If your room is available, they'll book it for you immediately. If the room is not available, you get the deposit back and you have paid zero dollars. It's really, really easy to do. Again, if you have a question, you can literally like call them. But yeah. M2: A couple of things to know about it is again, it seems really confusing. People will say, like, is this allowed? There's all these things. It is allowed. We own DVC also, like it is allowed from a non-commercial standpoint. Owners can rent out their points if they're not using it for one year. If you're operating a business with your own points, you're literal if we had blank points and we were operating a literal business with just our points, that's when it becomes an issue. If you don't want to use your points for a year and you rent them out, that is literally specifically allowed in the contract. So just to make sure that's clear. And that's why. They, you know, there's not any issues with any of these specific companies, you know, they're allowed to do that. there's no other catch. The biggest thing I'll say is that, and I say this to one of my coworkers, the third host of this podcast, I say, you're throwing money away. Stop paying cash for deluxe rooms. If you stay in deluxe rooms, unless you're taking a last minute trip and you can't get the resort you want, whatever, if you're taking a trip and saying deluxe, do not book it through Disney's website with cash because you're literally wasting so much money. At least look into and see if the rooms are available to rent points. You get linked to my Disney Experience the same way. You get early entry the same way. You don't get DVC perks. I think the only thing to know is that you don't get housekeeping every single day. M1: Because DVC doesn't do housekeeping every day. It's like a weird thing. Ugh, M2: just in general, D V C doesn't do housekeeping every day. That does not bother me at all. I actually prefer it, but M1: I don't like it, but it's a weird thing where they're like, we want you to feel like you're coming home. And at home you don't have housekeeping every day. I'm like, I mean, okay, I guess. yeah, David's has a deferred dreams policy. If you need to change anything with your trip, you can look up like exactly sort of the schedule for how that works. But yeah, everything links into your My Disney experience. Disney knows that it's you coming, you get all the deluxe. guest perks. It is truly amazing. So I have a full YouTube video up about it if you want to see step by step process. But go to David's Vacation Club Rentals. M2: Ask if you have questions. I mean, what first off, feel free to reach out to David's, but also happy to like help if there's something that we're not explaining or there's still questions. Like we'll we can do a deeper dive on the podcast and videos, whatever. So send us a message. but now let's wrap it up with our pit and peach of the week. My pit is that we got back very late Sunday night, Monday morning, actually. And I went to work 'cause I was too stressed not to. And it sort of like made me very sleepy. And now it's late because we're this is long episode. So I'm sort of like just having a very sleepy week. M1: Fair. My pit is that I feel like every day by the end of the day, my house is somehow like so messy. And every single day I'm like doing all this stuff at night to like reset the house. And I'm just kinda like, Wow, every single day for the rest of my life am I gonna be resetting my house this much at night? Like M2: Is it 'cause of the baby? MA: Yes. M2: 'Cause I don't experience that. M1: I d I guess I didn't used to experience it, so I guess. Mel's Leday. M2: So yeah, it must be the baby. MA: Nasty little baby. My pit is similar to Mouse at 2's, but on Monday. So we got back at like one in the morning or whatever. Monday morning when I go to wake up. it's like nine forty five. And I wake up and said, hmm, M2: Mm. MA: that's not right. I turned my alarms off in my sleep because I think I was so tired. And I had a rough start to the day because I overslept on Monday. So that was a pit. M1: That's fence for sure. Okay, Peach? M2: My peach is that this is sort of niche and maybe kind of gross or weird, but I had foot surgery six years ago. I haven't been able to bend my big toe or my second toe since 2020. and it's like really annoying. Like they just like are stiff completely. But I found out today that actually my second toe should be able to bend and that I could probably get that mobility back if I work really hard at it, which I will because it's really annoying not being able to bend your toes. so something I'm very happy about. MA: Yeah, but why can't you bend that toe? M1: That is Yeah. M2: Not sure, not clear. No, I MA: It has nothing to do with your surgery. M2: like I'm like, I don't know. I don't know. Here's a question. M1: Maybe it's like a mental block. MA: Hmm. Yeah. M2: Everyone put your hands up like this. Hands up. M1: I can barely I can barely see you, so M2: Okay, bend your MA: Nietzsche. M2: f bring your fourth finger down. Can't see muscle day, but if you could see me, you could see that my left hand, I can bend my fourth finger, and my right hand my fingers are webbed and my pinky and part of my MA: Mm. M2: middle finger go down because I have webbed fingers. And I'm saying I think it's possible that I might I might have webbed MA: I wanna snip snip snip. I wanna unw I wanna de web them. M1: Yeah. M2: I might have webbed toes. So okay. M1: That gives me the creeps so badly. Never say that again. MA: Yeah. M1: okay, my peach, I sort of have two. The first is that I get to see one of my friends who I don't see that often tomorrow, which is fun. But my other peach, M2: Siesta. MA: Who? Who is M1: yeah. MA: wait, what does it start with? M2: Siesta. Siesta. M1: Siesta. Nickname Siesta. If you all right. MA: I don't know this person's sick name. M2: One of her maid the okay, the maid of honor, that's not KK. MA: Yeah, okay. Okay. M1: Okay. But the other sort of fun thing going on in my life, I'm getting a lot of good gossip. I just sort of have a lot of gossip. None of it has to do with me. So it's like there's nothing dramatic with me, but I'm just like getting to hear a lot of fun drama. And I am nosy and I do love gossip. And so I'm just sort of living for a lot of gossip. M2: Wait, why haven't I heard MA: Would you like yeah, would you like to share it? M1: Not right now, but I am just kind of living for the gossip sort of whirlwind that I'm in. Remember when I MA: Share with us after this. Hmm. M2: Wow. Okay. No, I'm going to bed after this. like immediately. But going literally to my bed the second this ends. okay. M1: told you it would be an hour more and it's been like fifty minutes more? Yeah. MA: Yeah. Do I get a say a peach? M2: Well, I mean there's M1: You do. MA: Yeah, I could tell Mos Two's gonna skip me. My peach is that I bought mums for my front little step, and I bought two little pumpkins, real pumpkins, and I set them up yesterday afternoon, and they look really cute and I feel very fall finally because I have my mums. M2: And she sent it to her she sent it to M1: Last year I M2: her mom and her mom sent it to her older sister and her older sister said her house looks like a magazine. She's a big honor coming from her older sister. MA: Yes. M1: Last year I went to like the nice nursery to buy mums and they were like seventy-five dollars and I said off to the grocery store and I bought ten dollar. And I bought ten dollar. Yeah, I bought ten dollar mums at the grocery store instead. M2: I was gonna say get get your s get your stop and shop moms, okay. MA: Mine were eight mine were eight dollars. And I bought mine from a gar like a garden, like a like a garden place. Wow. Robbery. M1: On my garden place, they were like seventy five dollars. M2: I wanted to buy moms. Mouse Day is like is the only one in this house. Another pit. Mouse Day is the only one in this house who's allowed to buy moms. MA: Correct. 'Cause I go to a very particular place and I like getting tricolored ones and I want to go to the No, M2: Maybe I wanna buy some mums. All right. MA: my job. M2: Wrapping it up with a fact of the day. I'm gonna do an only but a goodie. Matterhorn has a basketball hoop inside of it. Fun, there's like a space for it. It's not a full court, but it's a hoop. It's just like a fun little thing. So I'm that's that's fine. M1: That's like an urban legend that has been blown out of proportion in so many ways, but in actuality, it's like a little fun thing. mine I was I thought of when we were talking about the changes to Animal Kingdom rope drop earlier, which is that Pandora, there's this spot in Pandora that's like almost like a little knot in a tree. And if you stick your hand in it, it makes like bird noises, like chirping sounds happen all over Pandora. And it's almost a random little. interactive thing that they added. It is literally so hidden, but I think shows how immersive this land is. M2: El Sud I You should tell your water MA: I do not have a M2: your water fountain fact that you taught me at Disneyland. MA: It's not Disney specific fact, it's just that water fountains, like there's they're not just randomly placed in places, there's a requirement to have water fountains. the same way there's a requirement to have a minimum number of like toilets. I was saying there's a requirement to have water fountains, and that was news to Mouse too. M2: You think it's a random spot, but it's not. Yeah. M1: I didn't know that. M2: I didn't know it either. So, all MA: There you go. M2: right, guys.
