- 0:12Speaker 1: Hell No, Welcome to the Naughty but niceho. I'm your
- 0:16Speaker 1: house drumshooter, and it is Friday, which means idear friend
- 0:19Speaker 1: Corey Andrew joins us. Hey, Corey, are you there?
- 0:22Speaker 2: I am here. Happy Friday, everyone.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Happy Friday, my friend. You're coming to us today from
- 0:27Speaker 1: your mommy's house.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Yes, I am in a suburban little town in New Jersey.
- 0:32Speaker 3: You can may even hear like a leaf blower out
- 0:34Speaker 3: the window of the neighbor next door. Very neighborly town.
- 0:37Speaker 3: But yeah, I'm visiting my mom for the for a
- 0:39Speaker 3: couple of days, so you know we will show my
- 0:41Speaker 3: scholar best.
- 0:42Speaker 1: You're the best. Next week, Naughties, I might go to
- 0:44Speaker 1: London for a few days, so I still will be
- 0:47Speaker 1: doing the shows, but I'll be doing them from London.
- 0:50Speaker 1: You know that technology is not Rob's friend, so fus
- 0:54Speaker 1: across be kind. We can talk about celebrities and gossip
- 0:59Speaker 1: any were in the world. You could PLoP me into
- 1:01Speaker 1: any city and within ten all the dish. But I
- 1:05Speaker 1: don't know if I could broadcast it because I'm not
- 1:08Speaker 1: good with technology. Like, it's so interesting, it's not the
- 1:11Speaker 1: content that makes me nervous. It's the way to distribute
- 1:17Speaker 1: knowledge good at all this, and to be honest there
- 1:19Speaker 1: for the last couple of years, I've come a really
- 1:21Speaker 1: long way since the pandemic. I thought our podcast was over,
- 1:25Speaker 1: and it would have been if we didn't all learn
- 1:27Speaker 1: this new technology. And now I'm quite good at it. Corey,
- 1:31Speaker 1: You've been a great help to You were always much
- 1:32Speaker 1: better at it than me.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Well, yeah, I went to school for engineer. I mean
- 1:36Speaker 3: my whole bat's while my background is audio and video
- 1:38Speaker 3: engineering and editing. So it came in handy, like you said, though,
- 1:41Speaker 3: during the pandemic, I was like, I.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Gotcha, I can gotcha. Oh. I used to text Corey
- 1:46Speaker 1: all the time. Corey, my microphone's not working. Its plug
- 1:49Speaker 1: it in. Turn it on that money in school, they say,
- 1:59Speaker 1: I think this is such a good quote. It's not
- 2:02Speaker 1: that you're paid to press buttons, it's you're paid to
- 2:07Speaker 1: know which buttons to press. True, I don't know. I
- 2:12Speaker 1: can press a button, but I might not press the
- 2:14Speaker 1: rat one. Okay, let's jump into asheb what time is it?
- 2:17Speaker 1: My friends? It is big story at the top of
- 2:20Speaker 1: the show. So Hugh Jackman's ex wife Deb. I know Deb.
- 2:23Speaker 1: She's a really cool person. Subtly has reacted to his
- 2:27Speaker 1: alleged affair with Sutton Foster. Let me explain. So, Deb
- 2:31Speaker 1: seems like she has subtly weighed in on the rumor.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I think it's more than a roomor now, let's be
- 2:35Speaker 1: honest that Hugh Jackman is involved with certain faster So,
- 2:39Speaker 1: in what appears to be quite an acknowledgment, Deb recently
- 2:45Speaker 1: liked an Instagram post by a blogger out of the
- 2:49Speaker 1: UK that claimed Hugh Jackman blindsided her by getting into
- 2:56Speaker 1: a relationship with Suttain Foster. So there was a story
- 2:59Speaker 1: out there that Deb had no idea Hugh was hooking
- 3:02Speaker 1: up with Sutton. They were both in the Music Man
- 3:04Speaker 1: together on Broadway. I'd heard all the rumors. Everybody on
- 3:07Speaker 1: Broadway knew what was going on. Deb had no idea,
- 3:10Speaker 1: So nobody told Deb. When it finally became clear that
- 3:14Speaker 1: he was up to no good, Deb was blind sided.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Now a blogger put this out in the UK. Deb
- 3:22Speaker 1: firmed the post because you know, she didn't follow. It's
- 3:24Speaker 1: not like it was US Weekly of People magazine or
- 3:27Speaker 1: this was a small independent blogger in Britain. She's really good.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Let me give her a shout out Tasha Lustig Tasha,
- 3:35Speaker 1: if you're listening to Love A Love a Lad, I'm
- 3:36Speaker 1: gonna be back in the UK next week. Let's get coffee.
- 3:40Speaker 1: So she posted this, deb found it and then liked it,
- 3:44Speaker 1: and then everything exploded. I think Deb is I mean,
- 3:49Speaker 1: she knows, she knows. She didn't know in the beginning,
- 3:52Speaker 1: but now she knows. So far, she said nothing, but
- 3:56Speaker 1: she did like that very tricky post.
- 3:59Speaker 3: You know, it's probably humiliating for us. I mean it's
- 4:02Speaker 3: and also Sutton's younger than she is. I mean, there's
- 4:05Speaker 3: all these different dynamics at play, so it's not probably
- 4:08Speaker 3: a very easy time for her to have her very
- 4:10Speaker 3: famous husband parading his new girl, his new woman around
- 4:16Speaker 3: really blissfully, if you will, very excitedly, while she's like
- 4:20Speaker 3: the wife who stood by him all these years. So
- 4:22Speaker 3: it's probably not a very good time for her. So
- 4:24Speaker 3: she felt like she maybe felt like Tasha had for once,
- 4:26Speaker 3: she had some solidarity or some camaraderie with someone who
- 4:30Speaker 3: sort of agreed and felt her sympathy as well.
- 4:33Speaker 1: So maybe he's in a tricky position, isn't she here?
- 4:36Speaker 1: Because if she comes forward and tells her story, that's
- 4:38Speaker 1: not going to be pretty. If she says nothing, it
- 4:40Speaker 1: looks like she's hiding. She was making for twenty seven years,
- 4:45Speaker 1: up and down children together. These two were very much
- 4:49Speaker 1: a team. When I went to the opening night of
- 4:52Speaker 1: The Music Man on Broadway, Dead was sitting in the orchestra.
- 4:55Speaker 1: She was actually standing greeting people. She's the granddam. Dead
- 5:00Speaker 1: and Hugh came to a rehearsal of Bruce's Musical Harmony.
- 5:03Speaker 1: They sat in the rehearsal room together and held hands.
- 5:06Speaker 1: And this was at the same time that Hugh was
- 5:09Speaker 1: in The Music Man. So just the timing of these
- 5:12Speaker 1: things are always so so tricky. Remember when Brad and
- 5:16Speaker 1: Angelina used to insist all the time, we didn't get
- 5:18Speaker 1: together until after our broke up with you two, So
- 5:22Speaker 1: there's shad. They're part of me, Corey. I'm an adult.
- 5:25Speaker 1: I don't like this, but part of me thinks you
- 5:28Speaker 1: are allowed to fall in love. It does happen. However,
- 5:33Speaker 1: you can also be kind and don't don't you know
- 5:37Speaker 1: you're gonna hurt the person you've been with for twenty
- 5:40Speaker 1: seven years regardless, but you don't have to go out
- 5:43Speaker 1: of your way, like, is there a good way to
- 5:45Speaker 1: handle this? I don't know.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Well, see, I don't think there is that letter because
- 5:48Speaker 3: they're so famous, especially, there's no way unless they completely
- 5:52Speaker 3: hibernate in the house, which is not something celebrities are
- 5:54Speaker 3: going to ever do so, and I think men to
- 5:58Speaker 3: It seems traditionally that men get a little excited. They
- 6:00Speaker 3: almost want to show off this shiny new penny and
- 6:04Speaker 3: it may be a chauvinism thing or some sort of
- 6:07Speaker 3: it's feeding their ego, especially as they're getting older, so
- 6:11Speaker 3: they can show that they still got it. There's a
- 6:12Speaker 3: whole other psychology potentially happening with men, so you know,
- 6:16Speaker 3: they don't think about who they're hurting, and they just
- 6:18Speaker 3: want to go, look, I still can pull a hot
- 6:20Speaker 3: young thing.
- 6:21Speaker 1: That's what it is. You know. I don't like any
- 6:24Speaker 1: of this story. I really done. And now they're on
- 6:25Speaker 1: the cover of US Weekly and their friends are telling
- 6:27Speaker 1: us Weekly they're happier than ever. He's terrible for me,
- 6:31Speaker 1: isn't He's happier now than he's been in Its terrible.
- 6:35Speaker 1: It's just so heartbreaking, which brings us to our pole
- 6:38Speaker 1: question of the day. Hugh Jackman's ex wife seems to
- 6:43Speaker 1: subtly acknowledge that our husband had an affair. Our questions
- 6:48Speaker 1: quite simple. Are you team you or are you team dead? Here?
- 6:52Speaker 1: Are you with him or are you with her? Hey?
- 6:55Speaker 1: You go vote on our Twitter paget Naughty Nice orb
- 6:58Speaker 1: or a Facebook page which is I'll say it and
- 7:00Speaker 1: be sure to check back on Monday to hear your results. Hey,
- 7:05Speaker 1: Corey Love, how do you work it? On? Yes?
- 7:08Speaker 3: Well over at NBC, they have announced that longtime co
- 7:11Speaker 3: anchor Hoda Copy will be passing the torch to Craig
- 7:15Speaker 3: Melvin in January. Now, I happen to be a big
- 7:18Speaker 3: Craig Melvin fan because I watched Dyline, I watched all
- 7:21Speaker 3: those forensic shows.
- 7:22Speaker 2: And he's got that voice. He talks like this.
- 7:25Speaker 1: I love Creig Melvin.
- 7:26Speaker 3: If you're listening as some ready talks, that's an exaggerated
- 7:29Speaker 3: version of it.
- 7:30Speaker 2: But you know it's sexy though when he does it.
- 7:32Speaker 1: But Holda.
- 7:33Speaker 2: She's been a.
- 7:34Speaker 3: TV fixture for like nearly three decades, Okay, so people
- 7:37Speaker 3: really really know her.
- 7:38Speaker 2: So so it's an emotional bit of news.
- 7:41Speaker 3: On Thursday, she's announced that she's going to have her
- 7:43Speaker 3: last day on January tenth. Now Melvin is of course excited,
- 7:46Speaker 3: and he's saying he's beyond excited about this whole situation,
- 7:49Speaker 3: and he's calling the role a blessing and a gig
- 7:53Speaker 3: like that. A gig like that is really I mean
- 7:55Speaker 3: that daytime TV spot, that morning TV spot. That's a
- 7:59Speaker 3: you have a row when you snag one of those
- 8:01Speaker 3: primetimes television. Yeah, it's major and so and Holda could
- 8:05Speaker 3: not be more supportive, and she told him on the
- 8:07Speaker 3: air that you were literally made for this job.
- 8:10Speaker 2: And viewers canna expect.
- 8:12Speaker 3: Her last day will be a big party day, as
- 8:14Speaker 3: she calls it. And NBC also confirmed that Hoda's co
- 8:17Speaker 3: host on the ten AM Today show. It's called Today
- 8:20Speaker 3: with Hoda and Jenna, So that's Jenna bush Hager. She
- 8:23Speaker 3: will be joined by a rotation of guests. That rotating
- 8:27Speaker 3: guest hosts like it, and they do that for a
- 8:29Speaker 3: while until they kind of get that formula right.
- 8:31Speaker 2: They do it on like shows like Jeopardy. You may
- 8:33Speaker 2: remember with the.
- 8:34Speaker 3: Host of the show, Kelly Ripper too, And that's well
- 8:38Speaker 3: even and that's in a way how Kelly even got
- 8:39Speaker 3: the right right.
- 8:40Speaker 1: She popped in and she was like kind of one
- 8:42Speaker 1: of her release It was between the two. I think
- 8:45Speaker 1: this is very small. You have to remember on the
- 8:46Speaker 1: Today Show, it's the first two hours where they make
- 8:48Speaker 1: all them that day. Yeah, so from seven to nine
- 8:51Speaker 1: that is the show. The next two hours they don't
- 8:53Speaker 1: care about quite as much. And so all the really
- 8:57Speaker 1: really seasoned producers are on the third two hours, and
- 9:00Speaker 1: they look down their nose a little bit on the
- 9:02Speaker 1: producers for the other two hours, a little bit of
- 9:05Speaker 1: a training ground. Like I've been on The Today Show
- 9:07Speaker 1: hundreds of times, but I would always get on at
- 9:10Speaker 1: the nine or ten o'clock hour. I'm too silly. For
- 9:12Speaker 1: the first two hours, it's news, it's real NBC news,
- 9:15Speaker 1: and so that's where the money is. So they have
- 9:17Speaker 1: to replace Hold of their first Holder is so interesting
- 9:20Speaker 1: because she gives them quite a problem. Not only does
- 9:23Speaker 1: she leave the first two hours, she's leaving the ten
- 9:25Speaker 1: o'clock hour too, So they have to find two hosts.
- 9:27Speaker 1: And I sort of love that it's going to take
- 9:29Speaker 1: two people to replace Holder. That I love Holder, And
- 9:32Speaker 1: so I think Craig is a great choice. Let me
- 9:33Speaker 1: be honest, He's a safe choice. He's done the work,
- 9:38Speaker 1: he's put in the hours. Would I love them to
- 9:41Speaker 1: hire an Oprah Winfrey? Oh, yes, Or would I love
- 9:44Speaker 1: them to hire steal Robin.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Roberts from GMA?
- 9:48Speaker 1: Or how about knee leaks? What some crazy person or
- 9:51Speaker 1: something crazy? Williams, I wish they gave Wendy the ten
- 9:55Speaker 1: o'clock happen. So I'm more more what's the word adventurous?
- 10:00Speaker 1: I shoot quite high and I often shoot myself in
- 10:02Speaker 1: the foot. Now I get it. When this is one
- 10:05Speaker 1: hundred million dollar business more maybe two or three hundred
- 10:08Speaker 1: million dollars a year, you know, taking a risk like
- 10:10Speaker 1: that is a big gamble. But they did do the
- 10:13Speaker 1: risk with Kafey Lee. Like Kathy Lee was a gamble
- 10:16Speaker 1: and it really paid. Oh. I didn't realize that they
- 10:19Speaker 1: didn't want her at first. Kathy Lee was a huge
- 10:22Speaker 1: gamble also too. Let's remember all this happened because of
- 10:25Speaker 1: the disgraced Matt Lauer. So when Matt was disgraced and
- 10:29Speaker 1: was fired from the show, initially they did not want Holder.
- 10:33Speaker 1: It was going to be Willie Geist. So Holder did
- 10:36Speaker 1: not get that job right away. They tried other people
- 10:39Speaker 1: and none of them really worked rating wise. Then they
- 10:43Speaker 1: put Holder in as a risk and they hit the jackpot.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Is very special, isn't she? I love Craig. I'm not
- 10:49Speaker 1: sure he's the new Holder. I think he's Craig. I
- 10:51Speaker 1: think he's very handsome and very nice guy. I know
- 10:54Speaker 1: him a little bit, We've had a drink together. He's
- 10:56Speaker 1: a really kind, decent, smart report but he's not a
- 11:02Speaker 1: show pony. Yeah.
- 11:03Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the one thing I grapple with too, because
- 11:05Speaker 3: I mentioned I know him from all the dateline stuff,
- 11:07Speaker 3: very hardline reporting, very serious stuff about serious issues, crime stories.
- 11:12Speaker 3: So I don't get the warm and fuzzy like I
- 11:14Speaker 3: get from Holder. But you know, give him a chance,
- 11:16Speaker 3: perhaps because Tameron Hall was the same. She was from
- 11:19Speaker 3: a very hard reporting show, a lot of crime stories,
- 11:22Speaker 3: and now she's like the new Oprah America sweetheart.
- 11:24Speaker 2: So give him a chance, Give him a chance.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Can you imagine if they'd invited Tameron back.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Oh my lord, because that was a scandal too.
- 11:33Speaker 1: They pushed right for Meghan Kelly.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Yeah, and then Meghan la fizzled and within a week.
- 11:38Speaker 1: It's interesting these shows, isn't it. When a big job
- 11:40Speaker 1: like this comes up, they don't want to rock the boats.
- 11:43Speaker 1: They want their viewers to not be upset, and in
- 11:46Speaker 1: the morning, all the research says that you want familiarity,
- 11:50Speaker 1: and I get it. If I'm in my underwear brushing
- 11:52Speaker 1: my teeth, I want somebody on my television that I trust,
- 11:56Speaker 1: someone that I don't want a stranger in my living
- 11:58Speaker 1: room at seven am. And so Craig's not a stranger.
- 12:01Speaker 1: We know who he is. He's very talented. And if
- 12:04Speaker 1: it sounds like I'm putting him down, I'm not. I
- 12:06Speaker 1: really like him, And honestly, at the end of the day,
- 12:09Speaker 1: I think I probably would would have picked Craig too,
- 12:12Speaker 1: but I might have had just a little poke around and.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Seen somebody interesting.
- 12:19Speaker 1: Shake this up, okay quickly before we go to break,
- 12:23Speaker 1: Kate Middleton has revealed her thoughts sort of about Prince
- 12:27Speaker 1: William's new beard. So Kate has turned heads with her
- 12:31Speaker 1: candid remarks, or at least her whispers about Prince William's
- 12:35Speaker 1: rugged new look. So during the Remembrance Sunday service last week,
- 12:40Speaker 1: and a professional lip breeder I Love Him, claims to
- 12:43Speaker 1: have caught Kate making a quite a cheeky comment to
- 12:48Speaker 1: Sophie Wessex about her husband's beard. So Sophie said to Kate,
- 12:53Speaker 1: you like the beard, and Kate responded, allegedly, I find
- 12:58Speaker 1: it quite rousing. Some people are saying, she did not
- 13:03Speaker 1: say that, and she said it's a nice beard, and
- 13:06Speaker 1: she said, yeah, so.
- 13:09Speaker 3: Very different these lip readers.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Did they tell us what we want to hear? Now,
- 13:14Speaker 1: I'd love it if Cake gone a little bit saucy.
- 13:17Speaker 1: I just don't think she would say that to a
- 13:19Speaker 1: family member. What do you think?
- 13:21Speaker 2: Yeah, at first I thought maybe could be spicier.
- 13:24Speaker 3: She could have said I find it quite arousing, and
- 13:27Speaker 3: and the a got dropped off.
- 13:28Speaker 2: But then I can't imagine Kate's.
- 13:32Speaker 1: So.
- 13:33Speaker 2: But it's just funny.
- 13:33Speaker 3: You have two different lip readers, and it could not
- 13:35Speaker 3: be more diametrically different than what they claim. She says,
- 13:38Speaker 3: So they are both probably wrong, that is what I.
- 13:41Speaker 1: She probably said, Oh shut up, Sophie, your hat's too big.
- 13:46Speaker 1: She probably responded something like that. How do you feel
- 13:50Speaker 1: about men with beards? I've noticed that younger people in
- 13:54Speaker 1: their thirties now often have beards. Being clean shaven seems
- 14:00Speaker 1: to be something that the younger people are not into.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, well that's become fashion trend in the past
- 14:07Speaker 3: like decades. So younger men with beards and to grow
- 14:09Speaker 3: them beautifully is also part of the trend.
- 14:12Speaker 2: As well.
- 14:13Speaker 3: There's a whole line of products and skincare geared towards
- 14:16Speaker 3: men who were literally in their thirties. Now about proper
- 14:19Speaker 3: beard care. And my Joey by the way, when he
- 14:22Speaker 3: gets his nice salt and pepper beard, a little bit
- 14:25Speaker 3: more salt these days, but he looks like a dashing
- 14:27Speaker 3: sea captain.
- 14:29Speaker 1: It just looks like captured bird's eye. I've seen, Yes, absolutely,
- 14:34Speaker 1: I do like them. I've been looking at the cover
- 14:37Speaker 1: of People magazine Sexiest Man Alive John Krasinski. We have
- 14:41Speaker 1: a poll about that. Later on in the show. He
- 14:43Speaker 1: has that scruffy beard, and so it seems like a look. Now,
- 14:47Speaker 1: somebody said to me, Rob Schute, you're going to be
- 14:49Speaker 1: people Sexious Man Alive. Well, first of all, i'd laugh,
- 14:52Speaker 1: but secondly I would say, pass me, ma raiser, I've
- 14:55Speaker 1: gotta get myself.
- 14:56Speaker 2: If they don't do that.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Now, I think I grew up sort of a bit disrespectful.
- 15:01Speaker 1: If I met you for drinks and you're all scruffy,
- 15:03Speaker 1: Oh you didn't bother to shave. Now it's the opposite.
- 15:06Speaker 1: It's amazing how these trends happen. Okay, while we're ponder that,
- 15:09Speaker 1: we're going to take a quick break and we will
- 15:11Speaker 1: be right back. Welcome back to the naughty but nicheon.
- 15:17Speaker 1: We'll shoot it with our dear friend Cory Andrew. Hey, Corey,
- 15:20Speaker 1: let's get to the polls. Last show, we talked about
- 15:23Speaker 1: how John Krasinski has been officially named People magazine Sexiest
- 15:29Speaker 1: Man Alive. It's some controversy about this online. It seems
- 15:32Speaker 1: to be split fifty fifty. I questions very simple. Do
- 15:36Speaker 1: you think John is sexy? He's cute, There's no doubt
- 15:39Speaker 1: about it. He's a cute guy. He's a decent guy,
- 15:41Speaker 1: he's a funny guy. Is he sexy or all those
- 15:44Speaker 1: things sexy? Sixty percent? I love you naughties say yes,
- 15:47Speaker 1: he's sexy. I agree. I find kindness and decency, particularly
- 15:52Speaker 1: in the times that we are living in, I find
- 15:54Speaker 1: that the most sexy quality of all. I really like
- 15:58Speaker 1: him too.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Especially those qualities are great when they're wrapped in like
- 16:02Speaker 3: a really big, good looking he's a good killer.
- 16:05Speaker 2: I mean, he's a really good looking guy.
- 16:07Speaker 3: But his personality is what's won over a lot of
- 16:09Speaker 3: people in all the films he plays in TV shows.
- 16:12Speaker 2: He's just a lovable guy.
- 16:13Speaker 1: He's a lovable guy. I don't think he could play
- 16:15Speaker 1: a villain. He's just such a lovable guy. And let's
- 16:19Speaker 1: be honest here. I love Emily Blunt.
- 16:22Speaker 3: She's the best she is there as a couple there
- 16:25Speaker 3: and I mean I didn't see them really as a
- 16:27Speaker 3: couple making sense, but now I do. But I would
- 16:29Speaker 3: not have thought of them as a couple before, like
- 16:32Speaker 3: you know, without knowing them as actors. But now as
- 16:35Speaker 3: a couple they make sense. But they're kind of odd.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Odd. I love art. When I was growing up, if
- 16:40Speaker 1: something was good, my mom would say odd. She's like, oh,
- 16:43Speaker 1: that's so odd. That meant she liked it so all
- 16:46Speaker 1: my life. When people call me odd, I take it
- 16:48Speaker 1: as such a compliment.
- 16:49Speaker 2: But we'll take it too. Yeah, we don't want to
- 16:51Speaker 2: be a cookie cutter.
- 16:51Speaker 1: We don't want to be a question for you though,
- 16:53Speaker 1: And asked loupo this yesterday. If you could take a
- 16:56Speaker 1: photograph with Emily or John only one, which health would
- 17:00Speaker 1: you do? Emily? Emily? Oh boy? Wait?
- 17:04Speaker 2: Can John be shirtless?
- 17:05Speaker 1: Though? My Oh terrible? I said, John should probably take
- 17:08Speaker 1: the picture. I want Mary Poppins a cab. Don't forget
- 17:11Speaker 1: to note On today's Paul go to a Twitter page
- 17:15Speaker 1: at Naughty Dice Romp or our Facebook page which is
- 17:18Speaker 1: Naughty Gossip and be sure to check back on Monday
- 17:21Speaker 1: to hear your results. And now, what's my favorite part
- 17:23Speaker 1: of the show. It's time for.
- 17:27Speaker 3: The day, Yes, sir, it's a royal story today coming
- 17:32Speaker 3: to us about King Charles who was turning seventy six
- 17:34Speaker 3: soon with a new birthday, and he's planning on doing
- 17:37Speaker 3: it with a very low key celebration and it's going
- 17:40Speaker 3: to be a little quiet family mixed and a nice
- 17:43Speaker 3: quiet family time and it's part of his hands on
- 17:45Speaker 3: effort as well to support his coronation food projects. Who's
- 17:49Speaker 3: going to kind of mix a little bit of business
- 17:51Speaker 3: and birthday if you will. But sources tell the Post
- 17:53Speaker 3: that the King plans to keep it really intimate with
- 17:55Speaker 3: a small gathering at High Grove House this weekend along
- 17:58Speaker 3: with his close family member and he says it won't
- 18:00Speaker 3: be a well he didn't say, but a palace insider
- 18:03Speaker 3: on his behalf said it won't be a big affair,
- 18:06Speaker 3: just a normal dinner that will include, of course a
- 18:09Speaker 3: birthday cake, because you got to have a birthday cake
- 18:11Speaker 3: when you have a birthday. But yeah, so Grant Harold,
- 18:13Speaker 3: who's the King's former butler. He added that the weekends
- 18:16Speaker 3: are normally downtime for the royals. I guess so because
- 18:19Speaker 3: you know, they do a lot of work, like philanthropic work,
- 18:22Speaker 3: and I guess meeting with the charities and all that stuff,
- 18:25Speaker 3: and so now it's a quiet time, explaining that Charles
- 18:28Speaker 3: often marks the birthdays with like phone calls and maybe
- 18:31Speaker 3: cards from family well wishers, and he keeps it really,
- 18:34Speaker 3: really low key, so I think it's a really nice Yeah,
- 18:36Speaker 3: it's a nice sweet birthday for him.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Rob, Yeah, I love it. I'm not the King of England,
- 18:40Speaker 1: but it might be the Queen of New York. And
- 18:42Speaker 1: I like to take my weekends quite quiet because I
- 18:44Speaker 1: have a very busy Monday to Thursday, Monday to Friday,
- 18:48Speaker 1: so I do understand these weekends quite quiet. Now, one
- 18:50Speaker 1: of my famous friends is email pals with King Charles.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, I know.
- 18:57Speaker 1: So he's going to fire off an email Charles saying
- 19:00Speaker 1: happy birthday, and I said, can you co sign it?
- 19:03Speaker 1: And Rob shooters, I'm trying to get that email. I'm trying.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Can imagine if it's Charles at aol dot com, you know,
- 19:11Speaker 1: it's gonna be something like that.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe not.
- 19:12Speaker 3: Maybe it's something even more like like you know, Charlie
- 19:15Speaker 3: Booby cat roy Booby cat Royale, Like what if it's
- 19:19Speaker 3: subding like totally after the war?
- 19:21Speaker 1: Happy birthday, your majesty. And then I noticed the day
- 19:25Speaker 1: Denzel Washington has revealed The Gladiator, to which I hear
- 19:28Speaker 1: is fantastic cut an intense kiss out of the movie
- 19:34Speaker 1: that Denzel had with a male co star. So Denzel
- 19:37Speaker 1: was doing press and there's some speculation about his characters
- 19:41Speaker 1: very complicated past relationships involving men, and Denzel shared I
- 19:46Speaker 1: actually kissed the man in the film, and they took
- 19:48Speaker 1: it out. They cut it out. I think they got chicken,
- 19:51Speaker 1: Yes they did. It's so interesting. It's twenty twenty four.
- 19:55Speaker 1: People are not gonna run away from that movie because
- 19:58Speaker 1: of a little kiss and so and naughtiest of the day.
- 20:02Speaker 1: And good for you, Danzel, you didn't have to tell
- 20:04Speaker 1: anybody about this. It's cut, so you'd never know. I
- 20:06Speaker 1: left that denzil is talking about it. Let's end with
- 20:09Speaker 1: a moment of dogs can find happiness in almost anything,
- 20:15Speaker 1: so why can't we. I was looking at my little
- 20:17Speaker 1: dog derby He's constantly happy. He can find happiness in
- 20:20Speaker 1: a ball, going on a walk, sitting on the couch,
- 20:24Speaker 1: running down the hallway. He just finds happiness in everything
- 20:28Speaker 1: he does, even stuff that is really mundane. He goes
- 20:31Speaker 1: for a walk every morning. You would think it's the
- 20:34Speaker 1: most exciting thing ever to happen. He gets his dinner
- 20:37Speaker 1: every day at four o'clock. It's the most exciting thing
- 20:41Speaker 1: to ever happen. I want to be more like that.
- 20:44Speaker 1: I want to be excited. I want to be happy,
- 20:46Speaker 1: and I want to find joy in everything. And if
- 20:49Speaker 1: you try, I think you can. Hey, that is it
- 20:52Speaker 1: for this week. Thank you so much for listening to
