- 0:00Speaker 1: Just because you're mad doesn't mean you're right. It's one
- 0:02Speaker 1: more thing. I can't remember where we heard that the
- 0:10Speaker 1: first time. It was years ago, but it's it's absolutely great,
- 0:15Speaker 1: you know, idea to have in your holster. Just because
- 0:17Speaker 1: somebody comes on strong and is yelling and indignant, indignant,
- 0:20Speaker 1: that's no proof that they're right.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Right.
- 0:24Speaker 1: People tend to back off and say, in fact, there
- 0:26Speaker 1: are some social circles that whoever yells the loudest wins
- 0:29Speaker 1: no matter what, because they got their righteous anger going.
- 0:31Speaker 3: Or gets the most upset. Just because you're offended doesn't
- 0:34Speaker 3: mean you're right either.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, well they're both right, Michael, And I'm
- 0:39Speaker 1: offended that you thought differently right, and I'm right and
- 0:43Speaker 1: I'm but not because i'm mad, but I am mad.
- 0:45Speaker 1: But that's no proof of anything. How dare you correct me?
- 0:48Speaker 4: You?
- 0:49Speaker 1: Anyway? Where were we? Oh? Get into that in a minute, Katie,
- 0:54Speaker 1: You need to analyze this dream as a woman, I
- 0:57Speaker 1: had a dream analysis Here we go, Yeah, and it
- 1:00Speaker 1: was it was so unintentionally funny. What was weird about
- 1:03Speaker 1: this stream is my wife and I we were bickering bitterly,
- 1:07Speaker 1: which we really almost never do. We're best friends, and
- 1:10Speaker 1: we get along great. We're so lucky, but I mean
- 1:12Speaker 1: we argue sometimes with nothing. So in the stream we
- 1:16Speaker 1: get into this bitter argument in the car and I
- 1:18Speaker 1: opened the car door while it's moving. I say, stopped
- 1:20Speaker 1: the car. I'm getting out. I'm just getting out. And
- 1:23Speaker 1: I dropped an F bomb on her. WHOA wow, I said,
- 1:26Speaker 1: I said, I'm walking back to my car. It's across town.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I don't care. I'm gone. I get out of the car,
- 1:33Speaker 1: slam the door, start walking. She drives off again. This
- 1:38Speaker 1: is why would I have the stream? We get along great.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Then I'm walking all over town and you know how
- 1:44Speaker 1: dreams become surreal and weird in the set exchange and whatever,
- 1:46Speaker 1: and it was kind of entertaining. But at one point
- 1:49Speaker 1: I realized during this dream that the shopping center where
- 1:54Speaker 1: I left my car, I can't remember any of the
- 1:58Speaker 1: stores that are there, and I really have to call
- 2:01Speaker 1: my wife to ask her where my car is.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Okay, there it is. You can't live without her? Uh
- 2:07Speaker 3: is that?
- 2:07Speaker 4: It?
- 2:07Speaker 1: Yeah? Just some weird My brain was trying to run
- 2:11Speaker 1: me through a scenario. I was so pissed off. I
- 2:14Speaker 1: didn't want to call her and give her the satisfaction.
- 2:16Speaker 1: But I was going to walk around town until I
- 2:17Speaker 1: starved to death unless I said, hey, honey, you know
- 2:21Speaker 1: that shopping center we met at? What a stores are there?
- 2:23Speaker 1: Because I was trying to program my Apple maps so
- 2:27Speaker 1: I could walk there walk to my car because I
- 2:30Speaker 1: didn't remember where i'd left my car and I had
- 2:32Speaker 1: asked my wife.
- 2:33Speaker 3: Yeah, you need her, You're doomed, don't have her. It's
- 2:37Speaker 3: always interesting in dreams where you you don't know the
- 2:43Speaker 3: lead up to whatever emotion you're in, like the fight
- 2:47Speaker 3: you're in, but you don't know what it was, right, yeah, right,
- 2:51Speaker 3: the the you know, the you know I'm being fired
- 2:55Speaker 3: or what, but it doesn't include what I did. You know?
- 2:57Speaker 3: Just that's always interesting.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Did you did you wake up from that instantly knowing, okay,
- 3:02Speaker 1: that was a dream, or did you have one of
- 3:04Speaker 1: those moments like wait a minute, to that actually happened?
- 3:06Speaker 1: Hold on?
- 3:07Speaker 3: You know what?
- 3:08Speaker 1: And I know exactly what you're talking about, because sometimes
- 3:10Speaker 1: you wake up with the brain chemicals going from that
- 3:13Speaker 1: set of emotions. Yeah, and you got to remind yourself, oh,
- 3:16Speaker 1: that's right, I'm not angry at my spouse. I am
- 3:18Speaker 1: not angry at my spouse. No, I didn't. In this case.
- 3:21Speaker 1: I woke up thinking, boy, that was weird.
- 3:22Speaker 4: God.
- 3:23Speaker 3: I remember having one here at work one time, and
- 3:25Speaker 3: I told her about it. I woke up, I had
- 3:27Speaker 3: a dream I was in love with somebody at work,
- 3:30Speaker 3: and like madly in love, you know, full on, full
- 3:33Speaker 3: bore in love. And I woke up and still had
- 3:35Speaker 3: all those feelings and it was just like, and I'd
- 3:37Speaker 3: never had any feelings for this person at all, zero
- 3:40Speaker 3: So I mean, but I was just fully in love
- 3:43Speaker 3: with this person. I told them later, I said, I
- 3:44Speaker 3: had a dream where I was madly in love with you,
- 3:46Speaker 3: and I'm trying to shake it still.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Absolutely thought you were coming on to her.
- 3:51Speaker 3: No, I don't think so. But it was so weird
- 3:54Speaker 3: it stuck. It took days to get rid of. Really weird.
- 3:58Speaker 1: But so this would be a decent screenplay, like a
- 4:00Speaker 1: light comedy. I see ice Cube in it. I've optioned
- 4:04Speaker 1: iced tea ice cube and Vanilla iceed to start anybody.
- 4:08Speaker 1: So I'm wandering around town trying to figure out where
- 4:10Speaker 1: my car is, and I keep running into various people
- 4:12Speaker 1: of various walks of life and getting into weird conversations
- 4:18Speaker 1: and stuff. But I've got too much pride to call
- 4:20Speaker 1: my wife. So anyway, that is good, like light comedy.
- 4:25Speaker 3: That is a pretty good idea. And I get into.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Various hygiens, you know whatever, I end up chained up
- 4:29Speaker 1: at a basement. I don't know. I'm sounds amusing.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Anyway, in one of those jarring transitions that have endeared
- 4:38Speaker 1: us to dozens. Uh, this is really really interesting, but
- 4:41Speaker 1: it's a little audio heavy for the radio show, and
- 4:44Speaker 1: we didn't didn't have time quite to get into it,
- 4:46Speaker 1: which is unfortunately. But a couple of speeches Bill Clinton
- 4:50Speaker 1: has given lately about Hamas and Israel and that sort
- 4:55Speaker 1: of thing, some of which you've probably heard, one of
- 4:57Speaker 1: which I had never heard before, and this is re
- 5:00Speaker 1: He's done this fairly recently, certainly in the last the
- 5:03Speaker 1: one is older than the other, but it's it's in
- 5:06Speaker 1: the last ten years. Oh, I think the one is
- 5:09Speaker 1: pretty recent. The second one we're going to play. But
- 5:12Speaker 1: it doesn't really matter because it's absolutely material to a
- 5:17Speaker 1: lot of the screaming going on on college campuses right now,
- 5:21Speaker 1: which is continued, for what it's worth, in the protests
- 5:24Speaker 1: and the taking over of lecture halls or whatever. The
- 5:28Speaker 1: blatant anti Semitism. It's ripped from today's culture. The whole
- 5:33Speaker 1: Israel is settler colonialists, and the nice folks in Hamas
- 5:36Speaker 1: are innocent, lovely brown people who deserve all of our sympathy.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Blah blah blah. We'll start Michael with twenty four.
- 5:42Speaker 4: Depends on whether you care what happens to the Palestinians
- 5:47Speaker 4: as opposed to the Hamas government and the people with
- 5:51Speaker 4: guided missiles. Yes they were, Yes they were what it
- 5:57Speaker 4: Yes they were, And Hamas is really small. When they
- 6:01Speaker 4: decide to rock at Israel, they insinuate themselves in the hospitals,
- 6:06Speaker 4: in the schools, in the highly populous areas.
- 6:09Speaker 1: And they are.
- 6:10Speaker 3: Smart, so they try so they wait, wait, wait, so
- 6:17Speaker 3: they try to put.
- 6:18Speaker 4: The Israelis in a position of either not defending themselves
- 6:21Speaker 4: or killing innocence. They're good at it, They're smart. They've
- 6:24Speaker 4: been doing this a long time.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Now he gets into the realities of his effort to
- 6:30Speaker 1: broker a deal between Yasser Arafat and was it monocham
- 6:35Speaker 1: Vegan and the Pointer.
- 6:36Speaker 3: Or was it Before we move on from this, NPR
- 6:39Speaker 3: completely disagrees with what he just said.
- 6:42Speaker 1: There's no disagreeing with it.
- 6:43Speaker 3: It's not completely disagrees with that. That is not true.
- 6:46Speaker 3: That is a that has been I heard them say
- 6:49Speaker 3: on that has been debunked. Okay, that's ridiculous.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Way ideology can blind people. But anyway, so Clinton famously
- 6:58Speaker 1: had the Camp Day. It accords, is that right that
- 7:02Speaker 1: brokeered a great deal between the Palestinians and the Israelis
- 7:06Speaker 1: back in the nineties. And that's what he's talking about here.
- 7:09Speaker 2: And the only time the author Arafat didn't tell me
- 7:12Speaker 2: the truth was and he promised me he was going
- 7:14Speaker 2: to accept the peace deal that we had worked out,
- 7:18Speaker 2: which would have given the Palestinians of state on ninety
- 7:23Speaker 2: six percent of the West Bank and four percent of Israel,
- 7:27Speaker 2: and they got to choose where the four percent of
- 7:30Speaker 2: Israel was, so they would have the effect of the
- 7:35Speaker 2: same land of all the West Bank. They would have
- 7:37Speaker 2: a capital in East Jerusalem, they would have the I
- 7:43Speaker 2: can hardly talk about this, and they would have equal
- 7:50Speaker 2: access all day, every day to the security towers that
- 7:57Speaker 2: Israel maintained all through the West Bank for the Golden House.
- 8:03Speaker 2: All this was offered, including i will say it again,
- 8:07Speaker 2: the capital in East Jerusalem and two of the four
- 8:11Speaker 2: quadrants of the Old City of Jerusalem confirmed by the
- 8:16Speaker 2: Israeli Prime Minister Hoodbarock and his cabinet, and they said no.
- 8:29Speaker 2: And I think part of it is that Hamas did
- 8:33Speaker 2: not care about a homeland for the Palacinians. They wanted
- 8:38Speaker 2: to kill Israelis and make Israel uninhabitable. Well, I got
- 8:43Speaker 2: news form. They were there first, before there was their
- 8:48Speaker 2: faith existed. They were there in the time of King
- 8:54Speaker 2: David and the southernmost tribes Ajidi in Samaria.
- 9:00Speaker 3: That also not agreed upon by NPR. Yeah, and other
- 9:06Speaker 3: people on the left.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I've gotten to the point that trying to reason
- 9:12Speaker 1: with the nprs of the world is useless, whether they
- 9:16Speaker 1: are so ideological they can no longer reason, or if
- 9:20Speaker 1: they are being deliberately dishonest about a lot of this stuff.
- 9:23Speaker 3: Right could have had a Palestinian state, which Tom Friedman
- 9:26Speaker 3: still arguing about. But Yaserfat turned it down when it
- 9:29Speaker 3: was Clinton and Ahud Barack, and Yaser Erifat turned it
- 9:32Speaker 3: down when it was Bagan and Carter, and but nobody cares.
- 9:37Speaker 1: At the very very very end of the whole negotiation,
- 9:41Speaker 1: when it was time to sign the accords, he said no,
- 9:43Speaker 1: I changed my mind, and they didn't say it out loud.
- 9:46Speaker 1: But it's about killing Jews. It's about the humiliation of Islam.
- 9:52Speaker 1: That is the Jews occupying that part of the world.
- 9:58Speaker 1: They can't have they can't have non Muslims controlling that
- 10:03Speaker 1: part of the world. That's the story and will be
- 10:06Speaker 1: the story for a thousand thousand years.
- 10:08Speaker 3: Well, we're gonna have a new president elected this week
- 10:11Speaker 3: at the taping of this podcast, and I'm not exactly
- 10:14Speaker 3: sure which either candidate is going to do in terms
- 10:16Speaker 3: of support for UH these ideas, but we will see. Well,
- 10:22Speaker 3: I guess that's it.
