- 0:00[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, it's Chris Miles, and this is a special edition of Cheesy Popcorn.
- 0:05[SPEAKER_03]: Unfortunately, Annavar will not be joining us today, and with me, I have, well, the next best thing I ever said.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_02]: It's two of us.
- 0:14[SPEAKER_02]: So as long as you have one, you're still connected.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_02]: Well, actually, aren't there three Salgados that I know of, right?
- 0:19[SPEAKER_03]: You have a brother too, right?
- 0:20[SPEAKER_02]: I have a brother.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so there's three.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_03]: So there's three.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_03]: So you have two options.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I'm glad you chose me.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_03]: Well.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_03]: Your other brother is currently trying to not trying to, but is established in his own right.
- 0:33[SPEAKER_03]: He's a mechanic in the local area.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_03]: He's got a new business.
- 0:35[SPEAKER_02]: Our breaks down, he's to record it all.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_03]: So there you go.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_03]: And you always need one of those.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_03]: That's what you mean when, like, in Chicago, when we say we got a guy, that's one of those guys you want to got.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_02]: I have a lot of guys for stuff.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_02]: He's definitely the guy for that, right?
- 0:50[SPEAKER_03]: There we go, so, but we have known each other for quite some time, obviously, through my career radio, it's where we met and I was fortunate enough to be able to play your song, convince our program director to play your song and that led to some great things for you as well and it solidified our friendship as well too.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_03]: But one of the things we like to do on
- 1:18[SPEAKER_03]: And I know you are a big fan of movies just like your father is just a matter of fact YouTube when you were younger used to recite movie lines at the table to the annoyance of your mother Like that's how bad it would get.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_02]: She hates it.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_02]: The three of us would really like a lot of people think it's probably just 20 minutes, but this was sometimes hours long.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_03]: Would you guys ever have like a conversation where it was nothing but movie line after movie line kind of.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but then I do a lot of voices.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_02]: So then I would go into Some type of voice from one of the characters and then we were pretty gone from there.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, okay And if you can visualize like our mother like discussed the leaving from the table and we're still there The the best part was that this was my dad's way of getting out of helping to clean.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, there we go
- 2:08[SPEAKER_02]: The table went from being completely dirty to completely cleaned, which is something he never talks about.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_03]: See, and then now you get the inside tip, so there you go, the inside scoop.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_03]: So one of the antivar and I started this podcast.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_03]: We talked about our five favorite movies of all time.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_03]: So I heard what's your, and it doesn't have to be five, but what are your, well, so my favorite movies about that.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_02]: So movies for me because my dad was a executive director and was involved with so much stuff behind the camera.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_02]: I started child acting when I was younger and I didn't get paid for any of it and just like a whole bunch of stuff like that.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_02]: So for me,
- 2:45[SPEAKER_02]: Movies is the only time I can really relax when I write songs for what I do for a living I'm still thinking of a million different things even when the song is done written and even in some ways It's like oh can I write it better and you know Anyone I'm doing other stuff in my daily life, but when I do watch a movie
- 3:04[SPEAKER_02]: I can really escape.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_02]: That's my escape.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I hope to be for people when they come to my show or the listen to my music.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_02]: But for me, it's really going to movie theaters which you know, and especially dragging people to movie theaters is one of my favorite things to do.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I've, like, I've taken you.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you're a drag me.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_02]: I've gone with you.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_02]: Oh.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_02]: First of all, they all go willingly.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not forcing anybody, but I go out of my way to take people to the movie theaters.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_02]: That's kind of something I love to do.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_02]: Some of these movies I see four, five times in the movie theaters, because I bring somebody different, which is not, nobody should do that.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_02]: So I have two kind of lists, okay, because I know you guys are, you guys are really movie critiques.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_02]: I don't critique any movie.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're all great, because they're all, in some way, even if I watch a horrible horror movie, I still didn't think about my daily life, so I'm okay with it.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_02]: But I have go-to's to calm my anxiety.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_02]: which I heard you talking about earlier.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_02]: Number five is any movie that I watched with my dad.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_02]: I have a tendency when I'm on the road, and things are just hectic, where I'll rewatch.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_02]: ML Brooks moving because he loves every single one of them.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_02]: So that's space.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_02]: There's a whole bunch in that number five.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_02]: So it's history of the world.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_02]: It's placing saddles.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_02]: It's Space balls.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_02]: It's anything.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, young Frankenstein.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_02]: I recently just watched
- 4:36[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, it's the it's the British one where the guys it's got no horse But the guys making a horse some of my holy grail or life of Brian yeah, yeah, okay, so all those so that's number five If I go to something like that I instantly kind of just and that happens with TV shows too like if I watch Frazier and I'm just like okay, this is cool
- 4:58[SPEAKER_03]: We talked about that on one of the episodes you're dead.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_02]: I heard that show.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_02]: I actually listened to the podcast.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, nice.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_02]: As we are on the same network.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_02]: The other ones are movies that I watch all the time.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_02]: These are movies that I've rewatch more than any superhero film.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_02]: And I'll get to those.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_02]: So liar, liar number four.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_02]: I used to.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_02]: I used to.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_02]: So, Jim Carey was someone I could easily impersonate, and so people would ask me to do scenes from that movie and from Dumb and Dumber and from Aspen to Pet Detective.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_02]: So, for me, like, liar words.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_02]: Not the mask.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_02]: No, no one ever asked like so spicy meat to ball you didn't go there.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't I didn't know But I'm just telling you what people said.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: I get it and it was like cousins and aunts and uncles We'll do this to that also it was all in the family pretty mind.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't have many friends going up Doing impersonations of people but
- 6:00[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but yeah, that that was it was you so liar liar was like top.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_02]: That's a good flip top movie And then the other two.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know how you'll take it, but number three is Tallah day.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_02]: Good night Okay
- 6:12[SPEAKER_02]: I watched that, okay, so it's your wife or everything in the car.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_02]: I watched that so many times, okay, Bobby?
- 6:18[SPEAKER_02]: There's so many, but I still put the voodoo on me rigging Bobby, I know that's not the line, but it's something like that.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_02]: So I judge these movies by, especially the comedies, because that's huge for me.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_02]: And how many times I can laugh or I can't breathe?
- 6:32[SPEAKER_02]: Because it doesn't happen often where you laugh that hard or you can't breathe.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_02]: Every time he puts the knife into his leg,
- 6:40[SPEAKER_02]: And even if I know it's coming, it's hilarious to me, how it still gets me, just like you laughing right now.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_02]: It still gets me 100%.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_02]: Now, number two is also the same combination of feeful.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_02]: It's step-for-other.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_02]: Step-for-other.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_02]: I still remember, um, I was living in Illinois at that time, and I went to Hollywood Boulevard.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_02]: And it was the first time I went to Hollywood Boulevard, which is a place where, and now it's common.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_02]: But back then it was like, oh, wow, you could eat and watch a movie like a dinner at the same time.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_02]: I never ate my food because the opening scene has him talking about what if she walks out and she sees me And when he slams when he slams the plates and says shut the I I lost it then and then I lost it the rest of the movie and I I watched those two movies So much that my wife hates it and those are my go to bed movies.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_02]: Do you have a go to bed movie?
- 7:39[SPEAKER_03]: If I had to go to bed movie, it probably would either be standby me or camp.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_03]: I mean love
- 7:44[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, and here's what I mean, it's also a camp because I fall asleep at some point during the morning.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_02]: And the rest of it just plays.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_03]: Otherwise, honestly, if it's not more movies that fall asleep, like we'll put the golden girls on or we'll put like big bang theory or yeah, you know, whatever is on late 90s, we'll put that on and that'll be on in the TV or whatever.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_03]: We've got to sleep time around all that kind of stuff.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, along the lines of the couple of the movies you mentioned, camp I mean love for me was like a movie that I watched as a teenager, like religiously.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_03]: I know every single line from that movie.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_03]: It's kind of scary sometimes, but so yeah, no judgment at all.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, on your list, we all have the movies we like.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that's the point that this is just sharing our experiences with each other.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_03]: And what?
- 8:25[SPEAKER_03]: What gives us, you know, what brings us joy?
- 8:28[SPEAKER_03]: What do we find funny and things of that nature?
- 8:29[SPEAKER_03]: I love talented nights.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_03]: I am not a big welfare fan at all.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_03]: I always hear that when I bring up certain people.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, people go out of their way to be like, I'm not really a big fan of Mark Watt.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I'm not going out of my way to say that.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_03]: I just, like, I loved, so I forget what the first movie was, I saw him in.
- 8:47[SPEAKER_03]: I hadn't seen how, if you had talented nights I saw it and I was just starting to get into NASCAR and stuff like that.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_03]: So I really liked Talladega night, but like Will Ferrell, there's just, maybe it was from all the stuff he did on SNL.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_03]: Like, because that was like, every time when he was on SNL, that was kind of when things started to shift.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_03]: And you know, Adam Sandler was, I think, just coming off there and things of that nature.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_03]: So it was the, the cast was shifting.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_03]: And there were just some things that I was like, and okay.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_03]: Um, although I do love every time he played Alex Trebek.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, that's a no, I love those.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_02]: So actually your mother said like, no, so I'm always the best part is like he was Sean Carter was always there.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_02]: And it was always something about his mother always.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_02]: I should remember the one episode was like, my dears to apologies to your mother.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_02]: Right, and then he turns it into something bad.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_03]: I do remember that.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_03]: All right, so what's your number one?
- 9:46[SPEAKER_03]: Is there a number one?
- 9:46[SPEAKER_02]: Number one actually has a double meaning, OK?
- 9:49[SPEAKER_02]: And my wife will do this, too.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_02]: So I...
- 9:52[SPEAKER_02]: I don't mind saying this, because I've been very public, but I've been in therapy now for six years.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_02]: But prior to that, I used to have a panic attack once a month, like a go to the hospital kind of a thing.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_02]: And in 2014, I had 15 panic attacks and 15 days, which I went to the hospital each day, because I thought it was dying.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_02]: and they can relate to that.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_02]: I've been through that myself as well too, so.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_02]: And the 15th day the lady was like, okay, this is a panic attack.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_02]: I finally had it in front of them because I have a medical background just like you do.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_02]: When the first one happened, I was driving, and I was so coherent telling them everything.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, I think I'm a heart rate dropped, and then I go, glory there's, and they're, oh, God, this kid had a stroke, right?
- 10:36[SPEAKER_02]: This kid had 18 years of life, had a stroke.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_02]: And so they had me do stress test, and just a million different EKGs, and all this other stuff, and all your health, they don't know what it is, and then finally, it was like, no, these are panic attacks.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_02]: So once I understood that,
- 10:53[SPEAKER_02]: I watched this movie a couple years later, and it just hit.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_02]: It's called What about Bob?
- 11:00[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, that's a really long time.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_02]: Now, I laugh at that movie.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_02]: It's funny.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_02]: At all the times that you laugh at that movie, but even more, because my wife will look at me too and go like, that's so you, right?
- 11:12[SPEAKER_02]: Just, there are, there's a lot of things that I laugh at that people don't laugh at because it relates to me tremendous.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_02]: And then over the years,
- 11:21[SPEAKER_02]: I remember telling my therapist, she was like, well, what are you gonna be your new coping mechanisms for when you start feeling this stuff come on?
- 11:28[SPEAKER_02]: Cause you can't just turn on the movie.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, well, I do turn on what about Bob.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_02]: And then I developed others, but that was the easiest one to make me go, okay, I'm probably overthinking everything and I'm over analyzing everything.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_02]: So that's like, the amount of times I've watched that movie from 2014 to now is gotta be
- 11:52[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, okay.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe even higher.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_02]: I'm that counting with a clicker, right?
- 11:56[SPEAKER_02]: Because I'm now healed.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know anybody that counts for the clicker, the number of times they've watched the movie.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, somebody out there for sure, probably.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_02]: Well, someone like Bob, probably.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_03]: I remember, or that, what that dude in, was it happy Gilmore, or was it the other movie, Billy Madison, where the key says he apologizes to the guy, and the guy was going to actually he was on his list, and he actually crossed him up.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_03]: Cross it up.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_03]: That guy was probably killed.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_02]: That guy had a list.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_02]: I still remember the first time he goes to therapy, right, and he's like, I got problems.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_02]: If I visualize it happening to me, then it won't really happen, it just passes over.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_02]: That might have been pretty similar to my first day in like therapy when I remember and it was a therapist I ended up not working with and just really didn't like anything that he said but It was pretty similar to something like that was like so why are you here and I'm like because I have problems.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_02]: I was like why is it because I didn't really want to go and I was like why does anybody come here.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like I'm paying you.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_02]: per hour, you're not going to ask me why I'm here.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to ask me what can we fix?
- 13:07[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_03]: And then that would be something I would expect.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_02]: And then by the time I got to 2019, I'd been through two failed therapists.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_02]: And then by the time I saw, I won't say her name, but the therapist I've been with since 2019, early 2019.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I remember going into her office and going, I got a whole bunch of proud, and I listed them.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_02]: and just went through every single thing and I was like, have you ever seen the movie What About Bob?
- 13:32[SPEAKER_02]: And she was like, yeah, I'm like, there's a lot of similarities here.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_02]: And how I use humor, my biggest thing is I always use humor.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_02]: So I never have to have a reality of the world.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_02]: So when my arm was dislocated, this was just a year and a half ago.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_02]: the paramedics are putting me into the ambulance and I'm doing a Trump impersonation.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't have to, I don't have to like visualize what's actually happening.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_02]: And you know, you were a paramedic.
- 14:04[SPEAKER_02]: So that was my first ride.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_02]: I hope it's my last ride.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_02]: because what a bumpy, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
- 14:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so those are like movie movies.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_02]: Now, me and you have something very income because outside of that stuff.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_02]: I have a huge appreciation and love for Marvel and DC, for me, it started with the cartoons.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_02]: For you, I know it started with comics, but for me, I used to come home and had nothing else to do, and would watch Justice League and would watch the Avengers and would watch Spider Man and X-Men, and there's all those things, 90s and early 2000s.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_03]: Did you ever get into superheroes from like the 80s?
- 15:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm so friendly.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, super friends.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, what?
- 15:15[SPEAKER_03]: Me and Ronald, we're talking about all of justice.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_02]: Also, too, Frank Kelly and I does a really good, like, mean one.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I love to hear that.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_02]: He does, he does a whole thing.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_02]: He does about like other people doing it.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_02]: You know, the guy from candy shack?
- 15:30[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, which one?
- 15:32[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you mean the Bill Murray character?
- 15:34[SPEAKER_03]: Well, waiting.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_02]: He does, he does him doing the hall to justice.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, being wild.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_00]: Like the hall of justice.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_00]: Many, many, many, many.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_02]: So any go.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_02]: Katie Sheck is another one of my dad's movies.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_02]: OK, I can see that.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_02]: That number five is a very long film.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_02]: I'm surprised.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_03]: I'm surprised that we sit on and do these episodes together.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_03]: He doesn't come in and go, did, did, did, did.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, if you know, you know, anyway.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_03]: You get a headlight, you get a headlight, like this, you get a free bowl of soup.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_03]: I think for Christmas I'm going to find that go for it.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to dance and go for it.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to buy it for him.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_02]: That'd be cool.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_02]: But he might listen to this.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_02]: But I don't.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you know, I'm always thinking if I was impressed.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't really listen to the things he does.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_02]: And I listen to everything that I do every time.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_02]: Explains anxiety, doesn't it?
- 16:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but I mean, you know, if you're when you're an artist, you want to get better and sometimes you know sometimes it's good and sometimes it's not so good because you can be your own worst credit because sometimes too.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_03]: So.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, okay.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_02]: So.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_02]: But moving on top five superheroes that we can both do superhero movies.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_02]: This is this was tough because you told me 20 minutes ago for me to prepare.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_02]: But.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_02]: But this is something I could do.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_03]: If someone walked up to the street, I mean, this is what happens when Caleb Williams has to call an audible.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, too soon.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe like, come on.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_02]: No, no.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_02]: Not talking bears.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_02]: I have so much, you know, I went to the Monday night game.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry and I told my wife last year that we didn't go because the team wasn't good enough but I was like now this is a different year I drafted him and fantasy and you're you're in our fantasy.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_02]: I am.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm going to so I'm one and one.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_02]: I know I know why you're one and one too
- 17:19[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_03]: Although, to be fair, there were two players that I should have played that would have already much.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_02]: It would have been even easier for you.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, but anyway, let's decide.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_02]: I drafted Cave Williams as my quarterback and I'm living, I'm living through that right now.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_03]: There's still some other quarterbacks out there.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I know.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_02]: I'm still, Bonex has gone though.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I know.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_02]: Well, he didn't really play that well.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_02]: I knew it.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_02]: Anywho, this is cheesy brop corn.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_02]: There is a fantasy football live folks.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_02]: We can check it out at
- 17:46[SPEAKER_02]: you're probably getting better results there than you're probably getting much better results than listening to us on fantasy football.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_02]: But considering our records.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_02]: Let's do, let's do our top five.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_02]: This is tough for me.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_02]: Because
- 18:00[SPEAKER_02]: DC seems to be changing doing some really good stuff.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_02]: Clarification.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_03]: Sure.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_03]: Movies?
- 18:05[SPEAKER_03]: Or are we doing movies?
- 18:06[SPEAKER_02]: OK.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_02]: Movies are not TV shows.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_02]: OK.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_02]: Because I think that the Spider-Man cartoon was one of the best cartoons ever done.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_02]: And then the Justice League in the early 2000s, and then Justice League on lemon, it was just like the part two.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_02]: I think those were just severely well done.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_03]: and you're talking about the one that used to be on channel, Spider-Man, the one that used to be on channel 32, like I sure, like I remember the channel.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_02]: Oh well, I remember when there were very limited channels.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_03]: Oh yeah.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_02]: That's, I'm not old, but I'm old enough that I remember Grandpa going there's seven channels on the TV and you had to turn a knob to get to the channels, get to get up and turn the knob.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_02]: And it was really just living on WGN.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_02]: He'd watch John Wayne, which is why I know John Wayne dies only three movies, because I've seen all of them with him.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_02]: And then it was Cubs or Sox.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I remember when the Sox were on John Wayne.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_02]: And he didn't even like the songs, but he would never go to Rigglyfield, because he would say, it's too damn expensive.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 19:08[UNKNOWN]: Okay.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_02]: So for all the people who want to save money,
- 19:16[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so there's seats available for that game for sure.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what you guys, well, I listen to the show.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm a fan of the show.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_02]: My wife is a fan of the show, too, especially because you guys were move movies coming out.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_02]: So you'll probably want to do that on this program.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_02]: But let's do your five or two together.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_02]: So my five, I'm going to merge DC and Marvel.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_02]: Well, yeah, for sure.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm just going to say the Dark Knight series.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, like I did a couple weeks ago when I picked the like the whole Lord of the Rings Yeah, yeah, I will agree with you on that that's I would probably rate that at number three Yeah, that's I would have put that at number three for me.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_02]: It's five only because it doesn't connect had there had been
- 20:00[SPEAKER_02]: like a Wonder Woman showing up in there, that being credible.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_02]: Because the other movies for me connect with so many different characters.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_02]: But it's so good that I can still watch it and I still get that excitement where I want to jump up and be a part of, I think every character they had.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, the first one, what a rare series where the first one isn't the best at all.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_02]: Number two and number three are just incredibly good in my opinion.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_02]: Then then then the first one.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_02]: But the first one said it all up.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that's the best Batman.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_02]: I like what Robert Pattinson's doing.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, but Christian Bale was is just incredible.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_03]: For sure.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_03]: By the third movie.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_03]: I want to give him the stop throat yelling.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_03]: To be honest with you, David, David, David, David, I mean, come on, but I get it, I mean, that's the way he went with it and stuff.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_03]: I actually think that the first one of that series, the Dark Knight series, which, by the way, is actually from the comic books.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_03]: There was a Dark Knight mini series that that came out in like the late 80s early 90s that that's about and that's why it's so dark because it was literally like that.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_02]: see I didn't know that.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it it it stays true to the comics, which is why Wonder Woman's not going to be at or anything like that.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_03]: I don't remember if Robin ever showed up, but in the comic book version, Robert Robin was in it.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_03]: I don't remember him being in any of those movies.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_02]: Well, at the end of the third one, he finally says what his real name is, which is Robin.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 21:33[SPEAKER_02]: And that's played by Joseph.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_02]: What's his name?
- 21:37[SPEAKER_03]: Gordon Love it.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, now I don't do that to me.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, okay show him and Anne Hathaway like living somewhere else and then Robin and then and the movie It may be not the greatest way to add the movie, but yeah for sure and actually I'm going to flip on you my number five would actually be the Robert Patterson Batman
- 22:00[SPEAKER_03]: It's good.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_03]: It's very good.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_02]: It's it's my expectation for that movie were very low, and it it gigantically blew past.
- 22:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, and I like it because it sticks to the detective side.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, man, a lot.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_03]: And the gentleman who played the Joker, whose name I cannot joke with the
- 22:20[SPEAKER_02]: The other one was comical, which is Jim Carrick.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_03]: But you expected that from Jim Carrick?
- 22:25[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_03]: If he didn't do it comically, then it wasn't going to be a lesson.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, that's my number five.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm going to pivot off of that for a second and say that if you haven't seen the Penguin.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, mini series or the 2v series.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_03]: Oh my goodness, that's absolutely amazing and I hope that they do something with this now that they've got what they've got they've got the penguin They've got the ridler.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_03]: I want to see what they're gonna do with this all up to James gun
- 22:53[SPEAKER_02]: He's got the keys and he, I think if he's smart, throw this in there, because I know we don't have we don't have 10 hours to talk.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_03]: But I think he's smart, I think what he, I mean, we in off microphone, if you wanna call it that, we have talked about Superman and where we are with that and how certain things have happened in that movie.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that, I think Superman was his test and I think we're gonna see great things from DC coming up.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_02]: I think so.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_02]: And I think if he's smart, he goes with the kid
- 23:25[SPEAKER_03]: Without a shadow of a doubt, I think the characters or the actors from the CW need to be in this new version of.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_02]: I hope so.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there were, there were some really, really good ones.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he's obviously already cast it's super girl.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_02]: I like who he's cast it's super girl.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_02]: Good cast.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_02]: I'm excited to see it.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_02]: But the flash, I think, was a home run just like when Marvel brought back.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_02]: Um, Hugh Jackman and Beast, you know, I was like, hey, they already did it great.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_02]: Let's not try to rewrite the wheel here.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but any who, okay, so that leaves me with four, right?
- 24:00[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_02]: So, let me write my list so you don't see it because I'm not going to be able to remember.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_03]: You're holding it close to your chest.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_03]: It's like your father does, I see.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, he does that?
- 24:10[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_03]: So we have us, this is how analiome, I guess, you want to call it that.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_03]: I have a spreadsheet.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_03]: And it's just about what we showed up with a napkin with notes on it.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_03]: He actually, he did exactly what you're doing.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_03]: He's writing them down while we were talking about what we were going to do with the show.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_02]: Simple doesn't fall.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_03]: It falls just not far from the tree, but anyway.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_03]: So I mean, but there's a spreadsheet.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_03]: I put all the information in there and then we'll be like, so what are we talking about for this episode?
- 24:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, I came more prepared like I said 20 minutes.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, number four, Spiderman, no wait home.
- 24:45[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_02]: I thought, the more I analyze it, it's probably not the best movie, but I never thought we'd see what we saw.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_02]: And I remember going into that movie, I got opening night tickets, which is something I do always.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_02]: I never can wait for anyone, like people watch movies on Fridays and Saturdays, I go to the theater on Wednesday when they have the first, like, very showing.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_02]: So nobody spoils it for me.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_02]: And so I bought two tickets, so no, what's it next to me?
- 25:13[SPEAKER_02]: And I remember going at that movie, Andrew Garfield was so good at, like, no, I'm not in it, guys, and I remember everyone going, oh, they're gonna have all three, you know, I'm like, I don't think so.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_02]: And I remember right before I started, I was like, this crowd's gonna go nuts if these guys aren't in it.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_02]: And then obviously they were all in it, and it was incredibly good.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_02]: And I kept, as the first movie I've watched, where I kept not believing what I was seeing.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_02]: How many times did I see that in this theatrical run?
- 25:47[SPEAKER_03]: That movie?
- 25:47[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_03]: Well, you've previously said on this episode that you see it at least four times.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm going to say that this was the record breaker, and you saw this one five times.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_02]: I did, I did five times, yeah, and multiple states.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_02]: Ooh, it wasn't modern.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_02]: So I watched it in Nevada with my wife's folks, and then I watched it in Nashville
- 26:14[SPEAKER_02]: And Illinois.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_02]: I just had to keep seeing it.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_02]: Look, and I had to keep bringing people to see it and then watch their reactions and then recently my nieces and nephews All watched the whole Marvel saga together.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, and we're we just caught up and they just watched that one too and watching my nephew go like
- 26:36[SPEAKER_02]: He's in this, and then knowing that told me where I was coming, just minutes later, and the kids are all like, oh my God.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_03]: But that's the best part of it.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_03]: You know what's coming, and then you can watch other people's reactions.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_03]: That's, there's something really cool about that.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, your number four, because we're going to run.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_03]: Well, yeah, my number four is actually going to be the same as your number four.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_03]: Is it real for sure?
- 26:57[SPEAKER_03]: And the four, the reason of it brought all three Spider-Man together, and yeah.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_03]: I think for the first time in a Marvel movie, we actually got to see the multiverse concept.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_02]: And how it could be done, correct?
- 27:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_02]: OK, let's try to make, let's try to save some time.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_02]: Number three is infinity.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, OK.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_02]: I think I need to go into it, too.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that was just, I mean,
- 27:22[SPEAKER_02]: They didn't miss on any character and any group.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_02]: Everything was great.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_02]: Everyone who was paired with everyone, the storyline was great.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_02]: Thanos was as bad as you needed him to be.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_02]: And also to you found yourself gone like, well, maybe he's not wrong.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I mean, we're on a food shortage, right?
- 27:40[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe, maybe there's some, you know, smarts at this madness, but yeah.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_03]: And that's always the best thing that a villain can do is make you believe in him.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, until you realize, no, that's really not how it works.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, no, it's not going to work that way.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_03]: Infinity, you know, wow.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, I'm sorry.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_03]: Wow.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_03]: All right, I'm going to go with Michael Keaton's Batman.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's another good one, man.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_03]: And not only because it's Michael Keaton and it was great to see him in the movie theaters and he's like, I'm Batman.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it was absolutely amazing.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_03]: And then I mean, Jack Nicholson, I know one of the best jokes.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_03]: One of the best jokes.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, he's a Romano did it before him, but I mean, honestly, we've had four really good jokes.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_03]: And it's kind of interesting because like that's Batman's deepest or longest nemesis.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_03]: So, but I mean Jack played it really well.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, if you haven't seen it, see it.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_03]: There's nothing like there is no still holds up.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, for sure.
- 28:42[SPEAKER_03]: And the soundtrack is awesome too.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_02]: Another another good saga.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there's so, there's so many of them.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I will stop you there because Batman Returns was, eh?
- 28:53[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, then where they got Kilmer?
- 28:56[SPEAKER_03]: No, well, because the second one was Batman Returns, that was with Michael Keaton as well.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_03]: Dandy's video played Penguin and then Michelle Fiverr played Catwoman.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_03]: It was okay.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_03]: But that's where they kind of started like they did two villains and I was like we don't need two villains and they didn't really explore the selenic high lingo with Batman and her and other kids I think he veil I think was still around to and I was like get her out of here.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_02]: But anyway, those are good points I those those are so early for me.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_03]: But then after that, that whole shoe mocker thing just took a deep dive into the worst shallow under the pool.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_03]: It was like, oh, could it get any worse?
- 29:33[SPEAKER_03]: And then of course, Batman with nipples.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, I was just going to say the George Clooney man.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_03]: I know.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_03]: Like we needed to see that.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_02]: And Nicole Kidman, that was a good movie.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_03]: You know I a lot of people think that he was just in a lot of people actually think so here's what I've heard I've heard that people think Coney as Bruce Wayne is amazing Him as Batman is just terrible.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and then I've heard Kilmer terrible as Bruce Wayne but great as Batman.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_02]: I would kind of agree.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so you know
- 30:04[SPEAKER_03]: but Michael Keaton nailed both sides of that coin.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_02]: So what about Arnold Schwarzenegger's?
- 30:09[SPEAKER_02]: The freeze.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's, that was an easy.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_03]: That whole, well, that was, if I remember correctly, that was Batman Farber.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_03]: So that was.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_03]: Two-face, Mr. Freeze, and then Poison Ivy.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_02]: Well, two-face and Ridler are in the first one.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that's right.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_02]: And then they fixed back to back movie.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_02]: And then it was Poison Ivy.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_02]: And then it was Poison Ivy.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_02]: Mr. Freeze, yes.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_02]: They always had two villains.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_03]: And that was the Clooney one.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_02]: So, and by that point, I was like, National D8% rotten tomato.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I think.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_02]: I made my wife watch all those, by the way, during the pandemic.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I feel so bad for her.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_02]: If you think you had a bad pandemic, talk to my wife.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_02]: I will milk is now I want to know and we weren't even married We had just started dating.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_02]: Oh Her pandemic was like I'm even got a ring on my finger.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_02]: Wow.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_02]: I'm even live with this guy.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, and I'm forced to watch all these crappy movies But that was the test man She she that's a brutal test.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_03]: She wanted to ring Wow, okay.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_02]: I've learned now that she was on a mission.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_02]: She won that mission.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_02]: Oh
- 31:17[SPEAKER_02]: So you're number three my number three.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_02]: So my number two I just saw months ago.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, I knew it was gonna be one or two I just wasn't sure which one.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_02]: When I left the theater the first night.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_02]: It was number one.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_02]: I do I can't really I've been asked why by a bunch of people I can't really tell you, but I mean his speech at the end
- 31:38[SPEAKER_03]: We're talking about what we're doing, okay, I just want to make sure because I didn't start with that.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_02]: What was his idea?
- 31:42[SPEAKER_02]: He was brand new DC Studio Superman, I loved it, and there's so much like it's so in the middle where if I go on TikTok, I'll watch like 10 people who hate it and then 10 people who liked it.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_02]: There's almost no middle ground with it, but the speech at the end,
- 32:01[SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was great to see Mr. Terrific and a terrific version of him.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_03]: By the way, there's a costume available now for kids.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_03]: And I saw it in the stores.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_03]: So just that way.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to convince my wife to be Superman.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_02]: We have a dog, crypto.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_01]: Oh.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_02]: I thought we just fostered it.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_00]: So she's going to be super cool.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_02]: No, she couldn't do that because this is this is coming from a girl who didn't want to get into this, by the way.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_02]: Her exact words when I was like, you could be super cool.
- 32:27[SPEAKER_02]: And it's just cause that.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_02]: And I was like, oh, well, that's okay.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_02]: She got a point.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_02]: So now you're going to get into this?
- 32:33[SPEAKER_02]: So she's going to be lowest lane.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_02]: She doesn't want to be lowest lane because in her words, once again, someone nod into these movies.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_02]: Her words where lowest lane doesn't have any great fashion.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_02]: She doesn't look hot.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_02]: OK.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm sitting back going, you know, on awful long about movies you hate.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_02]: That's all, you know, I don't know the stuff that she makes me watch.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, I don't know.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_02]: You know how many times I've walked below deck?
- 33:02[SPEAKER_02]: We can't name a single F in character, but I can tell you what's gonna happen.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_02]: Some very rich people are gonna come on the boat.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_02]: They're gonna treat the staff like slaves.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_02]: They're gonna stay up, wait past their night.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_02]: Something's gonna go wrong.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_02]: Somebody's gonna sleep with somebody in the crew.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_02]: They're gonna break up.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_02]: And then the boat's gonna hit something because nobody ever docks right.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_02]: and the captain's gonna come out and have some meeting with someone when they're in the middle of the island where they can't fire anybody and they can never get anybody new coming in.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_02]: They're making millions of dollars on the show and they can't get a chef to come in.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_02]: Now that's a rant that my father would normally brought to you by his son today to fill in for anyone who's used to seeing or used to hearing anniversary.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_02]: But isn't that a dumb show?
- 33:52[SPEAKER_02]: It says that they make stuff sound so difficult.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_02]: Like, oh, we got to take out the ladder.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_03]: You're on a yacht.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_03]: She made you watch that documentary about the ship that the, the, the, the, the, the thing thing.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_03]: What, yeah, that one.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_03]: No, the poop, the poop cruise.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_03]: No.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_03]: I have limits.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_03]: So I, well, I'm, I'm glad you do.
- 34:13[SPEAKER_03]: I don't, my 16 year old made me watch that.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_03]: No.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I, I've watched a lot of stuff with my wife.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_02]: I love watching stuff with her because I feel there.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_02]: So she got me into traders.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_02]: I love traders.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_02]: I can't wait for season four.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's on season four.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_02]: We watch a lot of reality crap.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, and we really get into it during the pandemic.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_02]: My punishment for all the movies I made her watch was watching 90 day fiancés.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, and I got so into the broken English that many of them have, Wow, where I would say the sangs to her throughout the week.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, there you go.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I don't know my come.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_03]: If you made the graduation to love as blind
- 34:56[SPEAKER_02]: we have.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_02]: We watch love is blind.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_02]: We watch almost anything that Netflix has put together who probably just crap and anything that Hulu and Peacock and like all these, there's like a whole section of these like.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_02]: Love Island.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_02]: Love Island.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_02]: Love not on island.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_02]: Love and apartment is coming next.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_02]: Dog, pet run love.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_02]: people who only meet each other's in like pet runs.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_03]: Right, yeah, there we go.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_02]: But having a good next time, I just, yeah, two of them.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_02]: OK.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_02]: Your number two.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_02]: So what, what a long segue.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_03]: Well, yeah, it's OK.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_03]: My number two is actually going to go back to a classic.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_02]: OK.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_03]: And that would be a different Superman movie.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_03]: That would be the original with Christopher Reeves.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_03]: Oh yeah.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_03]: And Gene Hackman.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to be super hot.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_03]: Ms.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_03]: Tessmacher!
- 35:46[SPEAKER_03]: Love it, anyway.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that's going to work perfectly, too.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_02]: Is that the one where they're on the yacht?
- 35:53[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, I don't remember the yacht.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_03]: I do remember that he's like his hideaway or is like the villain hideout is like a rundown building or something like that.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_03]: That's the one where he starts off with a really bad hairpiece.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_03]: And then at the end of it, he loses it.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_03]: Um, oh, that's right.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, but it's the one, uh, I mean, he, the one where he gets so up to make it so upset.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_03]: He revolves around the earth the opposite way and makes it.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_02]: I was thinking of a completely different Superman movie.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_02]: The one on the water is the, it's a different.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_02]: It's not even the same Superman.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_03]: You, the man of steel.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_03]: Is that what you were thinking of?
- 36:27[SPEAKER_03]: Or are you thinking of, uh, Superman returns?
- 36:30[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's the one where he gets shot in the eye and the bullet just breaks.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, okay.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, completely different movie.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_02]: But with the Christopher Reeves Superman, my favorite scene is when Gene Hackman is there with the other people from, I think it's.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_02]: They're all wearing the black Superman to you.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_03]: So that's Superman to you.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, okay.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_02]: But the ending of that is really cool.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_02]: Oh yeah.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_02]: Where he goes into the booth and he tells Lex Luthor.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_02]: He goes, hey, that booth takes your power.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_02]: So if we can get him into the booth and he knows Lex is going to turn on him, all right.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_02]: So he goes into the booth and everyone else loses their super power unless you're in the booth.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_02]: And Lex Luthor putting it together, you were in there.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_02]: They were out here.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_02]: That was one of my favorite first.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so it's my number one now, right?
- 37:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's endgame.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_02]: And a game's been number one for a long time, five.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_03]: You and your dad both have endgame as they're number one.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_02]: It's a great movie.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_02]: I still hate that Iron Man dies in it, but cat picking up the hammer was just such a moment.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_02]: I still remember the first time I saw it.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_02]: I'd like to say that there were children in the audience screaming.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_02]: I'm pretty sure that was me.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_02]: You know, and just like in the movie where he's like, I don't know if it was baby me or if it was old man me, or if it was me me Where or he's talking about someone pooped in his suit But yeah, it's just I think it's just a great movie top to bottom.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_02]: It's everything you want it to be and I think it's great
- 38:15[SPEAKER_03]: I concur, I think it's a very good, very good movie, not what I would put for number one though.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_02]: And your number one is.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_03]: My number one, greatest superhero movie of all time, would be, you're going to say Ironman?
- 38:31[SPEAKER_03]: Ironman.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_02]: I had a feeling you were going with that because,
- 38:36[SPEAKER_02]: your demographic always goes to like iron man, which I at it's definitely it's an incredibly good move.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's tough for me because I jump up and down with the like with people coming in like all of these have multiple characters but one.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_02]: Right, and there's just such a thrill for that, but the first Iron Man was incredible.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_03]: So here's the thing, and I'll tell you why I probably rings true for my demographics since you went there.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_03]: Thanks for calling me old without actually calling me old.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_03]: Anyway.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_03]: I thought demographic was a correct term.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_03]: It's all good.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_03]: So you didn't sit through...
- 39:09[SPEAKER_03]: the 70's live action version of some of these okay, they look horrible.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_03]: Captain America was a trotist.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_02]: The only good one where he throws this shield.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_03]: And it's made out of plastic.
- 39:23[SPEAKER_03]: And it bounces off of something.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_03]: And you hear it like you see it bounce like it's just absolutely crazy.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_03]: But anyway, so the you also didn't have to live through the TV version of Dr. Strange, which was horrific.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_02]: I've heard about all this.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, they weren't able to find it.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_02]: I can't find it anyway.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_02]: They're not.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_02]: Disney Plus with us.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_03]: You can know you can YouTube them.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_03]: They're on YouTube.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, God.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_03]: But then the last one, at least the only one that was worth watching was there was an 80, I think it was 82.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_03]: There was a TV version of Spider-Man.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_03]: and the guy who played Spider-Man was actually pretty decent.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_03]: And besides that, I think he was like a soap opera star for our member correctly.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_03]: And that's all he's known for.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_03]: So that's what it was, my demographic, wow.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_02]: No, I got lucky, because I went right from cartoons.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, no.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_02]: And they started making good movies.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_02]: That just movies.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_02]: They started making really, really good movies, especially with Spider-Man.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_02]: And then we got X-Men.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_02]: And then we got Iron Man.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_02]: And it was a really good, I still remember my friend
- 40:22[SPEAKER_02]: He said, you saw Ironman, right?
- 40:23[SPEAKER_02]: And like, yeah, he said, you stay after the credits.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_02]: And I was like, the hell are you talking about that?
- 40:27[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, credits is when you leave.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, that's how you know how the movie is over.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_02]: Nope.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_02]: And the Marvel movie.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_02]: And so he's like, go back.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_02]: And at that time, now this was something weird to you.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, go back and rewires the same movie.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_02]: This is back in 2008.
- 40:42[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, why would I do that?
- 40:45[SPEAKER_02]: That's I've seen it.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_02]: I'll wait for the DVD Now, this is a whole other blockbuster.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_02]: There's a different world back in 2008, right?
- 40:52[SPEAKER_02]: I used to have dates where we went to blockbusters to choose the movie for sure.
- 40:56[SPEAKER_02]: We could sit through and, you know, maybe watch, right?
- 41:00[SPEAKER_02]: And so I went back.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I waited for the blue screen.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_02]: I get it.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_02]: I went back.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think he knows what that means, but now you're out.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_02]: I've done so I was a virgin until I was like college
- 41:11[SPEAKER_02]: So I went, I went back and I watched and I remember still going like, this is stupid.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_02]: But then the credits finish and there's Nick Fury.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_02]: And once again, I think there were children in the audience.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_00]: Did you say that?
- 41:26[SPEAKER_02]: That was like, oh my god, it couldn't have been me.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and I was like, oh, wow, and then I was like, you know, I went back to my landline at home to call my friend who I had his number memorized in my phone.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, I think they're going to build the Avengers.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_02]: And that was, you know, and then we got, I think it right after that was Hulk and Iron Man shows up at the end of Hulk and then was Thor and then Captain America and then boom.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_03]: Well, actually to be correct, we had a different version of Hulk too.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_02]: We did, but the Hulk that was MCU related.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_02]: That's when we started knowing, oh, this is Marvel Studios.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_03]: Right, but previous to that, there was another Hulk that came out.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_02]: And actually, before 2008, that was 2006.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_03]: That was Ed Norton, I think, was that Hulk.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_03]: And then the other one.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_02]: I saw that one, Bruce.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_03]: Banner, if I remember correctly, or Dave Banner, I think his name was Dave Banner.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_03]: I actually prefer Dave Banner out of all the Hulk's.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_02]: I thought he was good.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_02]: I'd like, obviously.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_02]: Well, yeah, no, no, there.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no, he's great.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_03]: Mark Rufflo Rufflo Rufflo.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_02]: Again, that's eye candy.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_02]: You know, women have to show up to these shows too.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't realize he was eye candy, but okay, apparently.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I mean, I get it.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_02]: He's all.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you didn't have to.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I bought into that pretty quick, because I was like, yeah, I'm sure he's eye-candy.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_03]: And somewhere there's going to be something called the Hulk that's going to be a big and green.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_03]: But anyway, I digress.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_03]: All right, that's going to do it for the episode.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you so much for hanging out with me and talking everything, movie-wise and stuff like that.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_03]: Of course, not only are you a interesting person to have a conversation with about movies, you're also a very talented musician as well, too.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_03]: What can work, it's something, stop it.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_03]: Where can people get to hear some of your stuff and what's your website and all that kind of stuff give yourself a well I have a podcast on the rise now We're can't call you down.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, that's right.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_03]: I forgot about that
- 43:18[SPEAKER_02]: season two's ending a little rough.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_02]: We lost all the footage.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_02]: We have to reshoot it.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_02]: The finale gets ruined a little bit.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_02]: But we'll fix it.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_02]: We'll do season three like October, November, depending on schedules.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_02]: People can find myself an Andrew Sogato that night.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_02]: It's all, you know, singer songwriter country music.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's all great.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_03]: It's not too so check it out.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_02]: Of course.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_03]: We'll see you soon and save us some popcorn.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_03]: And because it's cheesy, but right there we go.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_02]: Is that my dad never says no, he never gets that right.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_02]: But I got it right, correct?
- 43:53[SPEAKER_02]: You did.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's all matters.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_02]: Take care folks.
- 43:55[SPEAKER_03]: That was the ending credits, by the way.
