Transcript
- 0:00Since I missed today, I'm going to catch up and do another
- 0:03chapter. Chapter 5 from the book of
- 0:06Micah. This is about a promised ruler
- 0:09from Bethlehem. Do we want to guess who that is
- 0:12about? Jesus, right?
- 0:14Yeshua. OK, so here we go.
- 0:16Marshall your troops now. City of troops for a siege is
- 0:20laid against us. They will strike Israel's ruler
- 0:25on the cheek with a rod. But you, Bethlehem, Ephrathah,
- 0:32though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will
- 0:39come for me, the one who will be ruler over Israel.
- 0:45This is Jesus Yeshua, whose origins are from of old from
- 0:52ancient times. So that's Jesus.
- 0:54I mean, that's not, you know, somebody who's from the past,
- 0:58somebody who's, you know, this is talking about the future,
- 1:00about Jesus reigning as king. Therefore, Israel will be
- 1:04abandoned until the time when she is in labor, bears a son,
- 1:13and the rest of his brothers return to join the Israelites.
- 1:20So Jesus is calling all his brothers together, all the
- 1:27Israelites. When everybody returns, He will,
- 1:31He will stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the
- 1:36Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God, and they
- 1:42will live securely, for then his greatness will reach the ends of
- 1:48the earth. So this is talking about when
- 1:52Jesus returns to the earth to reign and he will be king over
- 1:57everything. Authority has been given to him
- 1:59by God the Father. Jesus is the Son of God and he
- 2:04will be our peace when the Assyrians invade our land.
- 2:09Now this is really interesting because this is again, is this a
- 2:17foreshadowing of a future event? We certainly know it was a
- 2:20future event when Micah spoke this because the Assyrians did
- 2:25invade and captured Israel. But he will be our peace when
- 2:32the Assyrians invade our land. So is there a second time that
- 2:36quote the Assyrians from a symbolic nature will invade And
- 2:41the Assyrians were like kind of part of their their land in
- 2:47biblical times was part of Turkey, Syria, Iraq,
- 2:53southwestern Iran or Iran, Iran, Anyway, those areas And where is
- 3:00all this conflict going on right now with Israel?
- 3:04Just think about that. That's why people are saying we
- 3:06are living in biblical times. We are living in prophetic times
- 3:11because those, those lands, those entities, those groups of
- 3:13people are what make up the Assyrian territory from the
- 3:21past. And if you, if you think about
- 3:24what God talks about, you know that our fight is not against
- 3:28flesh and blood, but against the spiritual realms and the
- 3:33principalities in the heavenly, in the heavenly realms, not
- 3:36spiritual realms, but the principalities and the heavenly
- 3:39realms. And it does seem, and there are
- 3:43some sources outside of the Bible that are connected to the
- 3:46Bible, but not included in the Bible that do talk about God
- 3:49basically giving authority to certain spiritual or heavenly
- 3:58entities. Like Satan does have some sort
- 4:01of authority over the earth right now.
- 4:03He's called the ruler of the air.
- 4:05Currently he doesn't have his authority, isn't going to last
- 4:09forever, but God did give him a period of time here on earth.
- 4:13Why? I don't know, but he did.
- 4:16And maybe we'll someday we'll know why that ever happened.
- 4:20But anyway, so there are entities and it does seem like
- 4:28that perpetuates because what happens is it's always the same
- 4:33nations coming against Israel. It's always like they there's
- 4:37always this, this problem, like it'll get, it'll be OK for a
- 4:41little bit, but then they'll come and attack Israel and this
- 4:45just happens over and over again.
- 4:48And it's just like history does repeat itself and and it's
- 4:51always the same land. It seems like the same ones from
- 4:56that were written about in, you know, 700 or 1000 BC that are
- 5:01still coming against Israel. It just keeps happening over and
- 5:05over. So it just makes me think that
- 5:07this is much bigger than just the people.
- 5:11This is something spiritual that's happening and they're,
- 5:15you know, there may be some truth to those extra sources
- 5:18outside the Bible that these spiritual entities or these
- 5:24entities that are in the heavenly realms, principalities
- 5:26or like they have their own territory that they can rule
- 5:30over. And that's what like ancient
- 5:32people believed that believed in multiple gods.
- 5:35They believe that certain gods have have certain authority over
- 5:39certain things. Well, you know, maybe God, God
- 5:42is orderly and maybe he did give that power, that authority to
- 5:47those entities, but they used it for bad because he let them have
- 5:51free will too. And and so God is ultimately in
- 5:56charge of all of this, but there's a period of time that
- 5:58he's letting these things happen.
- 6:02And, and I, you know, I just, I don't know if it was just like
- 6:05God wanted to see, you know, what the people or allow the
- 6:09people to make a choice to either be adopted as his
- 6:16children or if they just chose to reject him.
- 6:20And you know, it's like any of us, I mean, if there's this
- 6:25desire for people within people to be loved and to love others,
- 6:31I think that's something that even though we are sinful, we
- 6:34still have that desire. And it just seems like you, you
- 6:40can't force anybody to love you. So it's all by choice.
- 6:45And that's what God is doing with us.
- 6:48He is. He gave us free will.
- 6:51He didn't want a puppet to control.
- 6:53He just gave us free will and is letting us make that choice.
- 6:58And the enemy is doing all. God's enemy is doing all that it
- 7:03it can to confuse us, to make us think that's not real, to keep
- 7:09us from receiving the inheritance that God has planned
- 7:14for the people who reconcile with God.
- 7:18And so it's just, it's really interesting, like read the Bible
- 7:22every day because you, your eyes are opened to the spiritual
- 7:27truth about what's happening in the world.
- 7:29And and just then you won't fall hopefully into deception when
- 7:36the word of God is really ingrained in our mind and
- 7:39especially these prophetic books that when we understand them,
- 7:44our eyes are opened. And then we can, we can protect
- 7:48ourselves, not personally, but through God, like God is our
- 7:51protector. And we realize who we are in
- 7:56Christ. And we've been adopted as God's
- 8:00children, as brothers and sisters to Jesus.
- 8:04So it's just a, it's a beautiful story of what God has done to
- 8:10show his love for us, But it gets distorted by God's enemy to
- 8:16make people think that God is just mean, but he isn't.
- 8:20He's just holy. And he can't, he will not
- 8:23tolerate anything that isn't holy within his Kingdom.
- 8:25And, and we can be changed to be holy by the help of the Holy
- 8:30Spirit. And then when we agree to that,
- 8:33when we are willing and let God do that within us and we accept
- 8:38that Jesus did everything that's necessary for us to be in the
- 8:42Kingdom. He was the sacrifice that made
- 8:43it possible for us to be in God's Kingdom.
- 8:46When we accept that, we pray to God and we ask for God to
- 8:50forgive us for the things that we've done against him and we
- 8:54are willing to change and we ask God give, you know, please give
- 8:58us the Holy Spirit so that we can have strength to overcome
- 9:02our sins because that's what God does through the Holy Spirit.
- 9:07And so it's, you know, it's a combination of things.
- 9:10Jesus died on the cross for us. Jesus said he will receive the
- 9:13Holy Spirit from the Father and give it to us.
- 9:16And we just have to ask for it. And then our lives begin to
- 9:22change and the repentance is turning away from sin and
- 9:25turning towards God, realizing that what the Bible says is
- 9:29alright, you know, just I don't know.
- 9:31Realizing we do realize that what God said is good is good,
- 9:35and what God says is bad is bad. And so we do realize that, but
- 9:41it's also just coming into agreement with God.
- 9:44Like you can't be at war with the king, you know, you're going
- 9:47to have to either agree to his laws or just say, I don't want
- 9:51them. And that's what God gives us the
- 9:54free will to do. So anyway, going back.
- 9:59So Jesus is going to be here now, it says, and he will bring
- 10:02our peace when the Assyrians invade our land.
- 10:05So let's see who that's going to be.
- 10:08And that's also found in Revelation chapter 2, verses 12
- 10:12through 13 and March through our fortresses.
- 10:15Now this is interesting. He will, he we will raise
- 10:20against them seven shepherds, even 8 commanders.
- 10:26I just got a lot of question marks.
- 10:28The study Bible does say something about that.
- 10:29But I just who knows? Let's maybe it'll become
- 10:33apparent when we actually are seeing these things happen.
- 10:36So there's he will, we will raise against them seven
- 10:40shepherds and even 8 commanders. There's that, you know, 7 or 7
- 10:49headed beasts that rises that has 10 crowns.
- 10:54And then there's an eighth one who is like the lawless one who
- 10:58wants who claims to be God that comes up from the enemy side.
- 11:01So it looks like God always has point and counterpoint.
- 11:04So maybe these are 7 shepherds. These are people who take care
- 11:08of Israel are it says like we will raise against them seven
- 11:12shepherds. So there's like there's seven
- 11:15different, you know, I think there's going to be like a, an
- 11:17equally matched just reading this right now, even 8
- 11:22commanders that there's something at this, you know,
- 11:27conflict that they're going to be equally matched, however, not
- 11:31so equal because God's on our side.
- 11:34So who will rule the land of Assyria with the sword, the land
- 11:39of Nimrod with a drawn sword? He will deliver us from the
- 11:45Assyrians when they invade our land and March across our
- 11:49borders. So Israel never really has to
- 11:52fear. Not if they are in in Christ.
- 11:56Not if they believe in God and trust God and submit to God
- 12:02because He will deliver them from the Assyrians when they
- 12:05invade our land. The remnant of Jacob will be in
- 12:09the midst of many peoples, like dew from the earth, like showers
- 12:14on the grass, which do not wait for any one or depend on man.
- 12:19So there, you know, their full dedication is going to be really
- 12:24to the Lord. They don't depend on a man.
- 12:26They're not looking for Amanda to save them.
- 12:29They rely on God. They trust in God.
- 12:31The remnant of Jacob will be among the nations in the midst
- 12:35of many peoples. So this, this is repeated twice
- 12:39now. So it says the remnant of Jacob
- 12:43will be in the midst of many peoples.
- 12:45And here it says again, the remnant of Jacob will be in the
- 12:48midst. I think in Revelation 7 I wrote
- 12:52that off to the side. I didn't write what it was
- 12:55there, but that's a reference that are supporting another
- 12:58secondary witness for this. There is going to be 12,000
- 13:03members from 12 tribes. However, the tribe of Dan is not
- 13:10mentioned and the tribe of Ephraim is not mentioned.
- 13:14So I don't know what happens to those, but those two tribes are
- 13:18not. But they were, you know, the
- 13:21remnant of Jacob will be among the nations.
- 13:23So they're spread out in the midst of many peoples.
- 13:25We don't really know who those peoples are.
- 13:27Like a lion among the beast of the forest, Like a young lion
- 13:33among flocks of sheep which mauls and mangles as it goes,
- 13:38and no one can rescue. Your hand will be lifted up in
- 13:43triumph over your enemies and your All your foes will be
- 13:48destroyed in that day, declares the Lord.
- 13:52I will destroy your horses from among you, and demolish your
- 13:56Chariots. I will destroy the cities of
- 13:59your land and tear down all your strongholds.
- 14:02I will destroy your witchcraft. You will no longer cast spells.
- 14:07I will destroy your idols and your sacred stones from among
- 14:12you. You will no longer bow down to
- 14:14the work of your hands. I will uproot from among you
- 14:19your Asherah polls when I demolish your cities.
- 14:25I will take vengeance in anger and wrath on the nations that
- 14:32have not obeyed me. Everybody likes to downplay
- 14:38obeying God, and they say, oh, that's not necessary anymore,
- 14:42That's legalistic. But God repeats it over and over
- 14:47and it's, you know, faith and action.
- 14:51If we have faith, if we believe, then we will obey.
- 14:58Because why would you not? If you believe what God says and
- 15:01he says to obey over and over and over again, why would you
- 15:06not obey him? It just doesn't make sense that
- 15:09that's when people start making up their own rules.
- 15:12But that's not what God says. And God says that if we are
- 15:18obedient to him, we won't be perfect.
- 15:20And that's what grace is all about.
- 15:23Grace is really, I believe it's the power of the Holy Spirit
- 15:27because when we are weak, God is strong.
- 15:30So that's how we overcome it. It's not a license to keep on
- 15:34sinning. And Paul talks about that in
- 15:35Romans, that we don't keep on sinning.
- 15:37No, we don't. So there's no way if you read,
- 15:41if you know the Bible, there's no way that you can say that you
- 15:45can continue to be disobedient to God and be covered.
- 15:50No, you are subject to wrath if you are disobedient to God.
- 15:55If you have not surrendered your will to God's will, you will be
- 16:00the subject of wrath by God. So it's, you know, people don't
- 16:05want to hear that and but it's the truth.
- 16:07That's what's in the Bible. And I will only speak what I
- 16:13understand from the Bible. And I believe the Bible is true
- 16:17and it says it over and over again.
- 16:19And people don't like to search it and don't like to hear it.
- 16:23They don't like to hear repentance.
- 16:24They don't like to hear obedience.
- 16:27But God says it. It's a warning.
- 16:30God's doing. I mean, it's like an open book
- 16:32test. Here's your answer.
- 16:34But if you don't read it, if you don't acknowledge it, if you
- 16:38don't do it, then you know you've been given it all.
- 16:44You've been, everything's been spoken to you, but you just
- 16:47choose to do your own way and you will suffer the
- 16:49consequences. So knowledge is what we find in
- 16:53the Bible. Wisdom is the application of
- 16:57that knowledge. So we can have all the knowledge
- 17:00in the world. We can quote things, we can
- 17:02memorize things, we can do all that.
- 17:05But if we don't use the knowledge and apply it to our
- 17:09life and live it out, whatever we've memorized from the Bible,
- 17:14then we're not wise. We're foolish.
- 17:17We might have knowledge, but we're not applying the
- 17:20knowledge. So we are not wise people if we
- 17:22do that. And all you have to do is read
- 17:25the Bible to find out these things.
- 17:27So that concludes chapter 5. I know there's that's not a more
- 17:33pleasant thing for people to hear, but it's the truth.
- 17:37And it's better to find out now than to find out the day that
- 17:41Jesus returns and say, Oh, I was believing some church that told
- 17:44me that's all legalism. And and you know, I Jesus died
- 17:48on the cross, so I don't have to worry about any of the laws.
- 17:51Well, Jesus said, you know it, that none of the laws, his word
- 17:56would remain, you know, like forever and in I guess in this
- 18:00age and we are part of this this current age before Jesus reigns.
- 18:05So read the Bible every day. In fact, if you aren't reading
- 18:12the Bible and even some courage, you know, subscribe to this
- 18:16podcast because that's what I'm trying to do is read a chapter a
- 18:18day and really reflect on it, go deeper into it and think about
- 18:22how does it apply to my life, to our life?
- 18:26That's where wisdom comes in. So I want to be wise from this.
- 18:31I want it to impact my life. I want to live according to
- 18:36God's will and submit what I want to do what?
- 18:39You know, my sinful ways. No, you know, I'm going to
- 18:42listen to God and do what God wants.
- 18:45And when I, when I'm weak, that's when I pray.
- 18:48Help me, help me God. That's all you know, that's a
- 18:51quick prayer. Help me and speak to God about
- 18:54it. That's it.
- 18:56That's all we have to do. And God provides a way out.
- 19:00So not a way to cover us when we sin.
- 19:05It's a way out. So we don't have to sin.
- 19:08And we know when we're going into sin.
- 19:10We we know, I mean, God the Holy Spirit will convict us of that
- 19:14will make us feel guilty about something that we're doing that
- 19:17we shouldn't be doing. And when we start going into it,
- 19:21we know when we're going there. We're not stupid.
- 19:24We know it and it's that moment of choice that we have.
- 19:29Are we going to say, hey, God, I'm, I'm going into this
- 19:32temptation. Help me out.
- 19:34I need some help here. You think God's going to respond
- 19:37to a child saying that? I mean, would you, if you're a
- 19:39parent, would you respond to your child and help them if they
- 19:43said, mom, dad, help me. You know, like I'm, I'm
- 19:47struggling here. Every loving parent would.
- 19:51So think about that. OK, let's go into questions and
- 19:55answers that are in the study guide.
- 19:57So how would Jerusalem be a city of troops?
- 20:00This is a picture of a city besieged by enemy troops.
- 20:03It would be paraphrased as a city surrounded by troops.
- 20:08What was Bethlehem Ephrathan Ephratha.
- 20:13This was either an alternate name for Bethlehem or the name
- 20:18of the district in which Bethlehem was located.
- 20:23Out of you will come one who will be a ruler.
- 20:26Centuries later, the religious leaders use this verse to tell
- 20:29King Herod where the Messiah would be born.
- 20:33That's really interesting. So yeah, in the story of
- 20:36Matthew, chapter 2, verse 6, when the wise men, what?
- 20:42I've always heard of the magi's. What?
- 20:43I'm not sure The Who you know exactly.
- 20:46I learned of them as the wise men.
- 20:49But when they came to see Jesus, they knew they followed the
- 20:52stars and they knew how to find Bethlehem and also Herod.
- 20:57That's why he was killing all the children that were going to
- 21:00be born during this time because these religious leaders, I mean,
- 21:08he heard about it and he's like, well, I don't want to lose my
- 21:10power. It's always a struggle of power
- 21:13on this earth. And the people who are maybe
- 21:16evil, they want power. We can see right now that
- 21:20someone or multiple people do want power.
- 21:23They want to rule over the whole globe.
- 21:27They want to unify everybody, but they want them, everybody to
- 21:29do what they want everybody to do.
- 21:31It's not like freedom. It's like they want to have
- 21:35their way and they want everybody to submit to them.
- 21:37They want to be God. This is what prophecies, you
- 21:42know, somebody who wants to be God and rule over everything,
- 21:45have everybody under their, you know, their authority as leader.
- 21:51That's coming about. And it seems like it's coming
- 21:54about really soon. And in this world today, in
- 21:582025, did Micah know he was predicting the Messiah?
- 22:04Perhaps, though he may not have known that it would be centuries
- 22:08before his vision would be fulfilled.
- 22:10In the New Testament, Peter writes that the prophets, though
- 22:14they understood some some details, still puzzled over many
- 22:18things about the coming Messiah and longed to know more.
- 22:23God used their prophecies, however, to confirm His final
- 22:28revelation in Jesus Christ. Knowing Jesus gives Christians A
- 22:34clearer picture of salvation than the Old Testament prophet
- 22:39prophets were ever able to understand.
- 22:43And Jesus even said, you know, I came to fulfill what the
- 22:46prophets talked about. So it's we can't be in a vacuum.
- 22:51And that's why it's it would be so good if Jewish people and
- 22:58Christian people, true Christians that read the Bible
- 23:01and know the Bible and don't preach a false Bible, if they
- 23:05could talk and maybe open the eyes.
- 23:08Because Christians can learn from Jewish people who know the
- 23:12Old Testament. And then Jewish people can learn
- 23:16from Christians because Christians know the Messiah and
- 23:20they can show how Jesus is, you know, was talked about way back
- 23:26here in the Old Testament. I mean, we're talking about the
- 23:30seven hundreds BC right now. So thousands of years ago, the
- 23:35prophets talked about Jesus coming.
- 23:40OK, who were these 7 shepherds and eight commanders?
- 23:44OK, let's see what they say. This phrase, 7, even 8, is a
- 23:48literary device meant to show that in the midst of the
- 23:52Assyrian crisis, Israel's leadership would come in ample
- 23:56supply. The number 8 is more than the
- 23:59#7, which is the number of perfection.
- 24:02So the numbers are proclaiming Israel's strength and
- 24:04leadership. Yeah, that could probably be
- 24:07true. And that could also be a
- 24:09literal, you know, we could wait and see, you know, like nobody
- 24:13really knows. And it could be symbolic, and it
- 24:17could be literal because often God does it both ways.
- 24:22So will Assyria again be a power in the last days?
- 24:26Probably only in a figurative sense.
- 24:29Assyria serves here as a model representing all God's enemies.
- 24:34When God rules through his Messiah, Messianic King, his
- 24:39people will no longer need to fear cruel oppressors like the
- 24:43Assyrians, for the Messiah will protect God's people.
- 24:47And that's again, you know, the Assyrian is used and you know,
- 24:51it could very well just be symbolic and it could be a
- 24:54different entity. But so often history in the
- 24:57Bible repeats itself and it's the same entities, the same
- 25:00areas, the same principality areas happening.
- 25:05So that leads me to believe that it may be some of those areas,
- 25:10like I said, Turkey, Syria, Iraq, southwestern Iran, those
- 25:16areas, I mean, they're happening right now.
- 25:19They're joining together. So, and they're also talking
- 25:23about a peace agreement with Israel, which is really
- 25:25interesting because there's this sense of false peace that
- 25:28happens. And halfway through that
- 25:30agreement is when the lawless one that claims to be God speaks
- 25:37of himself. And yeah, it's just like,
- 25:41really, this sounds like there's a lot of prophecy that may be
- 25:44coming true in the very, very near future.
- 25:48So it's definitely a time to be watching the Middle East, but
- 25:52most importantly, to have your relationship with God reconciled
- 25:57so that you don't have anything to fear of.
- 26:00And, you know, you can welcome the stuff happening because you
- 26:03know that Jesus will be coming after these things, you know,
- 26:08start literally happening. So who was Nimrod, the
- 26:11traditional founder of Assyria? Nimrod was a famed hunter and
- 26:17warrior. Micah used the founder's name as
- 26:20a cinema synonym for the country itself.
- 26:25You know, and maybe there's, you know, when it talks about the
- 26:27beast, you know, it says something that was like, is it
- 26:30is Nimrod spiritually there? There's a lot of theories about
- 26:35that too. Is there some, you know,
- 26:39spiritual influence that affected Nimrod?
- 26:42It's kind of interesting that Nimrod, you know, sarcastically
- 26:48became known as like somebody stupid.
- 26:50So I don't know where that came from The, the, I guess the
- 26:54etymology of how are the cultural connotation of Nimrod,
- 26:59But it's kind of interesting that somebody at some point, it
- 27:04probably came from somebody who knew the, the Bible.
- 27:06But what do these poetic images represent?
- 27:10Like dew and showers that come from the Lord.
- 27:13So too, the remnant will have its source in the Lord alone.
- 27:17The Remnant will also share the pride, power and cunning
- 27:22associated with lions and beasts of the field.
- 27:26Why this warning against witchcraft?
- 27:29Ancient peoples were obsessed with gaining special insight
- 27:34from the gods and finding out what would happen in the future.
- 27:39They say. Ancient peoples, people today
- 27:42still want. Who goes to psychics?
- 27:44That's the same thing. Who looks into astrology, That's
- 27:48the same thing. Who does tarot cards?
- 27:52That's the same thing. I mean, that stuff is going on
- 27:54today. It didn't ever go away.
- 27:57To get this kind of information, they would consult experts of
- 28:01divination who claimed they could tell the future by
- 28:04interpreting omens, examining livers of sacrificed animals,
- 28:09contacting the dead like mediums, and through other
- 28:13techniques. All that stuff is still
- 28:15happening today. The Old Testament law prohibited
- 28:19these occult practices in Deuteronomy chapter 18, verses 9
- 28:25through 12. So all those kinds of things are
- 28:28witchcraft. And it's so I mean, there's like
- 28:33all these Movies Now are really like focused on this sort of
- 28:38thing and making it sound good and making witches appear good.
- 28:44It's just like, again, the enemy, the spirit of God's enemy
- 28:50is alive and active in the world today.
- 28:54And we can see that through Hollywood movies, we can see
- 28:57that through music, we can see that through cultural
- 29:01entertainment. It's very clear when you finally
- 29:06get your eyes opened by reading the Bible that this stuff is
- 29:10alive and and flourishing today. It won't last forever though,
- 29:14because it's going to be subject to God's wrath.
- 29:17So it will go away, but we're living in it.
- 29:20We're seeing it and now is the time if you want to be, if you
- 29:27want to inherit God's Kingdom. And we shouldn't do it for what
- 29:32God can do for us, but rather for the love that God has for
- 29:35us. But if you want to be, if you
- 29:37want to really know God and live with him on a daily basis and
- 29:41get to talk to him and be with him in the future, be a brother,
- 29:45sister to Jesus. If you want that in your life in
- 29:48the future and to live forever and to be in a restored world,
- 29:54then now is the time before, before we die that we need to
- 30:01make that known to God and speak that to God.
- 30:04Ask for forgiveness. Ask for the Holy Spirit to be
- 30:08changed and to be conformed, to be come holy as we go through
- 30:14the rest of the life that we have here on earth.
- 30:16So don't be lukewarm right now because you know what it what if
- 30:23a bomb went off? What if all of a sudden we were
- 30:26completely destroyed and we never saw it coming and it
- 30:28happened instantaneously and we didn't have that chance to
- 30:32reconcile with God? What if that happens so or, you
- 30:37know, a freak accident or a freak medical condition that
- 30:41nobody like expected, but all of a sudden happened?
- 30:44That happens to people all the time.
- 30:46Not all the time, but you know, throughout time.
- 30:50It happens. It's rare, but it does happen.
- 30:53And it's just not worth gambling.
- 30:55When you're talking about gambling, you're talking about
- 30:57your eternity. You're talking about where you
- 31:01live in eternity. People like spend so much time
- 31:04being worried about where we live here on earth or what we
- 31:08have while we're here on earth and that becomes our focus.
- 31:11We are so like focused on that and achieving here in the earth
- 31:17today that we don't even think about what the future is.
- 31:22We can achieve everything here, but if we can lose it all, if
- 31:26we, if our soul is not with God and, and, and just like
- 31:32prioritize things like really understand why God is so why
- 31:37it's so important to have that relationship with God, to know
- 31:41God. And God says if we seek him, we
- 31:43will find him. And he is a good God and he he
- 31:47does give blessings to people. I know the Bible talks about a
- 31:49lot of wrath, but those are people who are against God And
- 31:54yes, they experienced that. But to those who are connected
- 31:58to God and who love God, boy, he loves a lot deeper than we do
- 32:04and he does a lot nicer things for us than we do.
- 32:08So it's, it's a relationship that if it's one sided, it's
- 32:13because God loves us and we don't love him back.
- 32:15But it's really awesome when we can show God that we love him
- 32:20and then he loves us back. I mean, it's a great
- 32:23relationship and I encourage all of you if you're not there to
- 32:28get there. And you can get there easily
- 32:31just through prayer and read the Bible every day, come back, join
- 32:35this podcast. Every day get closer to God.
