  I'm hitting purple parses already for my item level in

  heroic raid. I am still, dungeons are still a

  little bit like, you know, because there's a lot more

  movement. And I've discovered that now,

  this may come as a shock to you. Not all tanks pull the same way

  that I pull. So when I'm expecting to happen

  next in the dungeon doesn't always happen next in the

  dungeon. In fact, almost never happens

  next in the dungeon. So I'm, like, sending cooldowns

  at wrong times and awkward times, and I'm chasing packs

  down. It's been crazy.

  Yeah. It's been a wild time.

  But that's me. I'm going to flip it.

  We had long weekend in Canada and like though I had a good

  half week off and then we had a long weekend in the US and I

  And so my vault has been a little sparse, we'll say sparse,

  and the cress cap has disappeared.

  And I think I've gained less crests in the last two weeks

  than any other time in the game. But.

  Old strategy, let's see if it pays off.

  I don't think it's going to pay off.

  I think at some point I'm going to have to figure this out and

  get back into it. But I have been adjusting what

  I've been playing. I've been doing, doing a little

  bit of mount farming, you know the stuff that non real gamers

  do. I have been looking at my parses

  and I've just been enjoying enjoying like DPS ING and stuff.

  Like of course I've still got the meter so I like can tell if

  I'm like doing garbage tier damage or like somewhat decent.

  And I've been working on professions.

  Got my jewel crafting maxed out. That makes the sticks.

  Nope that makes the 8th profession that I've now capped

  out now which is good. The alt army is trying to make
• 3:44
  gold again because I just, I kind of fell off because of the
• 3:49
  issue we had at the beginning of midnight.

  And so I was like, I'm not going to.

  So I've got about 1,000,000 gold on two of them.

  One of them that I just pushed the inscription man guys I I got

  to look up what the hell I need to do to make a gold with

  inscription, but my poor inscription is is.

  Every time something goes wrong, the War Bank is the first thing

  main who is at like 3 or 4 million or something like that.

  And so like it's like trying to build up the the nest egg and

  play that way. Because like I feel the best way

  to get around the burnout is not to be like, oh, I'm going to

  quit and I'm not going to do anything is to like find

  different areas that are engaging and just find where the

  fun is for me still. So that's that's what I

  basically been doing. Like that?

  I did some mythic plus with my Guild and now they are making

  fun of me because I was on for two until 11, which is good for

  I'm a little bit of a Guild granny for the awful time.

  But I'm, I'm yeah, I'm having a lot of fun.

  I think we are in a little bit of a a raid lull right now.

  We're taking a couple weeks off because we had some travel going

  on with some of our officers. So we are getting back into it,

  not this week, but the week after, which is very exciting.

  I miss my buddies and I. So I will say because Manny said

  that he still has the chart, so he or the meter, so he knows you

  know whether or not he's doing trash DPS.

  If you are generally doing trash DPS, there is an argument to not
• 6:51
  having the meter on at all. I always used to have ADPS meter
• 6:54
  on and then I was sitting and thinking about it and I was
• 6:56
  like, I'm never like purposefully doing bad DPS,

  right? Like if my DPS is low, it's not
• 7:03
  because I like decided to phone it in, right?
• 7:06
  I'm always performing at the top of my ability at any given
• 7:09
  moment. So seeing where I am in the DPS
• 7:11
  meter does not convince me to do better DPS because I'm doing the
• 7:15
  best DPSI can do in any given moment.

  It just stresses me out and makes me feel bad about myself.

  So I have my DPS meter off. I'll turn it on sometimes

  between fights to see if there's something that I need to be
• 7:25
  aware of. Like oh it seems like I'm doing

  really poorly today, I should check this out later on logs and
• 7:31
  try to figure out like instead of gear issue did I forgot an
• 7:33
  enchant? Like what's happening here?

  Am I? Is my rotation messy and I'm not
• 7:38
  thinking of something? But during fights I do not want
• 7:42
  to see that. I do not want to think about it.

  I want to just do the best DPS I can do and not freak out and try
• 7:47
  to do better DPS and just make myself all fussy.

  Lex, instead of blind rating, you guys should try no DPS
• 7:56
  meters for anybody, just the whole raid turns them off and

  see if the enjoyment goes up. I know it's already pretty high

  in Timbermont Tavern, so it'd be hard to go up from there.

  And most of that is attributed to the fact that everybody has

  to send you 50% of your gold of their gold.

  You know they log on, send 50% of whatever they have to Lex for

  the week, which seems reasonable.

  That would be fun because I I on the beta we didn't have damage

  meters. I felt like I was having the

  most fun when I had no idea if I was doing good or not.

  No, no, I I'd like to have a a general awareness of where I'm

  at and like while I'm DPS ING, I'm constantly thinking like OK,

  like am I doing this right? Am I setting this up?

  A lot of things with elemental right now isn't even what you're

  doing in the moment, but what you're setting up.

  Hey, the fight's about to end. Start pulling your maelstrom so

  you can take that into the next fight.

  Your cooldowns are about to to come up.
• 8:58
  Make sure you have this. I I'm about to get like to 60

  and send my elemental blast. So I want to save a charge of

  this. All the different things that I

  don't want to overcap on. So like for me, it's a lot of
• 9:11
  like thinking a little bit ahead of the damage.

  Meter doesn't doesn't help you do any of that.

  Yeah, but I'm always thinking about my damage and then I can

  see, hey, did that did that work out when I pulled it?

  Because like the, the, the fun thing or horrible thing for

  elemental shaman is a lot of the damage exists inside my cool

  down window. So for roughly 15 seconds, I'm a

  God. I am like, it doesn't matter if
• 9:40
  you've got I let it eye level on me or something.

  I'm blasting and I'm there and then the bottom falls out and
• 9:47
  suddenly that tank, the tanks looking at me being like, hey,
• 9:49
  I'm going to take your spot. And then my cooldowns come back
• 9:52
  and I go back up. And so the question the like ebb
• 9:57
  and fall of the DPS meter and like how much I can retain a
• 10:02
  level before the healer starts laughing at me gives me a unique
• 10:10
  view of like where where I'm doing.

  And so like, part of it is that I'm looking at what I'm doing
• 10:14
  outside of my cool down windows. Part of me part of it is like,
• 10:20
  how well did I do on that cool down window?

  Because like taking a glance at being like, OK, you're doing 505

  hundred DPS, that was a good burst, right?

  That sort of stuff is like strangely beneficial for me.

  And then there's also a bunch of times where I will be in a raid

  and that thing will be tracking interrupts because listen,
• 10:47
  friends, we can interrupt. We we can do that so that we're
• 10:53
  not stuck on Laura with the orbs floating around for five goddamn
• 10:57
  minutes. Do you not have monks in your
• 11:02
  raid group? We had depends on the raid
• 11:05
  group. Remember I'm running with.

  Sorry, I'm running with two different groups.

  So depends on the raid group and depends if the monk in one group

  is there 'cause sometimes they have hockey on the same night,

  sometimes they're late, so sometimes we don't.

  But also purge works on it. So like why aren't you getting

  getting rid of it? Like there's no cooldown I.

  Mean purge works, shockwave works, all stuns all AOC CS, but

  here's some hot tech for monks. Anybody who's working on Lura
• 11:35
  Prague? Heroic Lura Prague Paralysis.

  The monk ability Paralysis completely removes one of those
• 11:43
  crystals. It does all four of the kicks in
• 11:46
  one shot. So if you have a monk or
• 11:49
  multiple monks, assign them to specific boss frame numbers.
• 11:52
  There's going to be 3 of them. You say monk 1, you get boss
• 11:55
  frame 1, Monk 2, you get boss frame 3 for paralysis, and then
• 11:58
  they just disappear. You don't have to worry, we'll
• 12:00
  kick anything. And and to be clear, for this
• 12:02
  you do have to call the Monk 1 and Monk 2.

  You're not allowed to call them by their name for the rest of
• 12:06
  the fight. That's right.

  trade off, right? On the one hand, you get to help

  your team deeply with Prague. On the other hand, you can never

  We're going to talk about raid. We have some raid news we're

  going to bring up. We're going to start with this

  topic. I think this is interesting and

  I, I think we can open up a small discussion for us.

  Blizzard last week. So at the start of the raid
• 13:05
  tier, we had the the like blinded vanguard fight who and
• 13:08
  they did the avenger shield ability, which was a debuff on
• 13:11
  players that when the raid launched was a private aura.
• 13:14
  Anybody not using default raid frames, and I don't think even
• 13:19
  on default raid frames at the time, couldn't see this debuff
• 13:22
  on people. So they were struggling to know
• 13:24
  who did the spell when because they weren't able to track it in
• 13:27
  any of their custom frames. So Blizzard said, hey, we hear
• 13:29
  you. We're going to remove a bunch of
• 13:32
  our debuffs from the private aura list and make them regular
• 13:35
  debuffs so that you can see them and track them on your raid
• 13:37
  frames. They did that.
• 13:39
  They also then added four more Avenger Shields at the same time
• 13:43
  because of the race world First they wanted to make that boss a
• 13:46
  small wall. They did, but what that meant is
• 13:49
  now it was 8 debuffs, which is impossible to be tracked by
• 13:53
  humans, or most likely impossible because they have to
• 13:54
  be dispelled right away. You can't coordinate that.
• 13:56
  So people wrote because they were no longer private auras and
• 13:59
  they were. They were debuffs.

  People wrote a computational weak aura that assigned who
• 14:04
  would dispel what. The race ended.

  They cut it back down to 4 but because the technology already
• 14:11
  existed for the computational week aura to tell you who to
• 14:16
  dispel from the avenger Shields, people kept using that even
• 14:19
  though it was now 4 and that you didn't need it necessarily in
• 14:24
  that case. Now last week there was a hot
• 14:27
  fix. Blizzard went in and they re
• 14:30
  added the a lot of the spells that they had made that they
• 14:34
  removed from private oral list and put them back on the private
• 14:37
  oral list. There was 8 spells They did this
• 14:39
  too, but the only one that matters because the rest of them
• 14:41
  are are nothing burger spells. It's like the bleed on chimeras.

  It doesn't matter as who's got that that's not important, but
• 14:48
  they they re put avenger shield back as a private aura in They
• 14:53
  also made it so that it showed up on default raid frames, but
• 14:57
  this means that it might not necessarily show up on your non
• 15:02
  default raid frames. This also essentially broke the
• 15:05
  computational week or so. What does this mean?

  Well, this means Hall of Fame is closed and people don't really
• 15:11
  care and you don't need the competition we gore.

  So it's sort of forcing our hand.

  But what I want to ask, and we'll start maybe with Manny.

  How do you feel about Blizzard opening this up so that it can

  be a week or it can be used to get around it for Hall of Fame

  and then once Hall of Fame is done, closing it off again like

  gores can do in the raid? So I'm not rating Mythic as much

  filled up for every tier, we've got people with a lot more gear

  The entire community is just well informed about this

  mechanic and so it's not going to be the same as it was before.

  So in that way, this is the second best time to screw around
