Want to turn your passion for gardening or composting into real community impact? Washington State University’s Thurston County Extension is now accepting applications for two hands-on volunteer training programs. The Master Gardener Volunteer Training starts Sept 25, 2026, and runs through May 14, 2027, teaching botany, soil science, pest ID, and food growing — with online, classroom, and fieldwork.
