- 0:08Speaker 2: ever Australian headline to headline show on the twenty second
- 0:14Speaker 2: of October.

- 0:25Speaker 1: Of course, cheers.
- 0:28Speaker 3: As you said, I played from wein hit Australia next
- 0:30Speaker 3: month with the going down on the Troll with the
- 0:32Speaker 3: guystage side, starting in Freeman time and nine to eighth.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Then you get Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney and finishing busy
- 0:38Speaker 3: are not time of twenty six but not long now.
- 0:40Speaker 4: Many are packed and ready to go.
- 0:43Speaker 1: No, I'm actually on a European tour at the moment.
- 0:45Speaker 1: We're doing our head looking tour.
- 0:47Speaker 2: We get back from this tour like five days before
- 0:50Speaker 2: we leave to come to Australia.
- 0:51Speaker 1: But we're proper excited about it.
- 0:54Speaker 2: You know, Australia has been like it's been on the
- 0:57Speaker 2: cards for our twenty one year as a band. That's
- 1:00Speaker 2: one of those places we've been desperate to get too,
- 1:02Speaker 2: So yeah, fucking buzzing about it.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Can't wait?
- 1:05Speaker 4: Yeah on the story safe to love you guys.
- 1:07Speaker 3: Right with Sydney being number two on your mouse listen
- 1:09Speaker 3: to cities on Spotify and Brisbanes at number four, so
- 1:12Speaker 3: I like you should just like just very.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Like I didn't know that. That's amazing.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Yeah, we can't wait to get And it's it's like
- 1:25Speaker 2: we sort of did the same thing with America. We
- 1:27Speaker 2: waited so long to go and no other reason than
- 1:32Speaker 2: other than the fact that we just didn't get the opportunity,
- 1:34Speaker 2: you know, we didn't get the right to offer. But
- 1:36Speaker 2: when it came and we finally went there, it was
- 1:38Speaker 2: just it felt that people were hungry for it, you know,
- 1:41Speaker 2: and like it's almost like we starved the market for so.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Long that when we went there it was nuts.
- 1:47Speaker 2: So I'm hoping that I'm hoping that the same thing
- 1:49Speaker 2: happens when we get to Australia.
- 1:53Speaker 3: So what can we expect from your Shoyes right, like
- 1:55Speaker 3: run as through a Chico blade from within, live performance.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Heavy, groovy, lots of hair.
- 2:06Speaker 2: And hmmm, I've never really thought about that, to be honest.
- 2:16Speaker 2: We're like we're one of those bands, you know, like
- 2:18Speaker 2: we it really means a lot too, is what we do.
- 2:21Speaker 1: We've been doing it a long time.
- 2:22Speaker 2: All five of us in the band have been best
- 2:25Speaker 2: friends since we were kids. So I feel like when
- 2:27Speaker 2: we get to do cool stuff like go to Australia
- 2:30Speaker 2: and walk on stage together, it's like it means a
- 2:32Speaker 2: lot too. So we're going to leave it all there,
- 2:34Speaker 2: you know, like it's we We don't We don't take
- 2:38Speaker 2: any show lightly, and we've been playing together for a
- 2:41Speaker 2: long time and I feel like that comes across in
- 2:45Speaker 2: our live show.
- 2:46Speaker 1: So come to the shows and you will see yourself.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Has mentioned your heady guy with the gusting side. Have
- 2:53Speaker 3: you to replied with them much before?
- 2:55Speaker 2: Yeah, we did a We did a like five week
- 2:59Speaker 2: us too with them last year. Literally the best guys.
- 3:03Speaker 2: There's no funner band to tour within those guys. So
- 3:07Speaker 2: I'm actually like so grateful that our first time coming
- 3:10Speaker 2: to Australia is with them, because they are honestly unbelievable guys.
- 3:16Speaker 1: I can't wait. I can't wait for this tour.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Yeah, just how someone's going to the concerts for the
- 3:21Speaker 3: guysting sort and I don't know too much about you guys, like,
- 3:23Speaker 3: what a very strong should I listen to in order
- 3:26Speaker 3: to get to know the bend a bit better?
- 3:29Speaker 2: Oh, in place of your hello, the end of all
- 3:33Speaker 2: we Know? And Levity or maybe I am Damnation, let's
- 3:38Speaker 2: go for Levity and I Am Damnation.
- 3:41Speaker 4: Before it is.
- 3:43Speaker 3: You mentioned at the top, but you've recently justin after
- 3:46Speaker 3: one off Headland and show it's stick out in Melbourne
- 3:48Speaker 3: or that time of twenty second, so that neither one
- 3:50Speaker 3: off time made it SAYNDS exclusive and special.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's going to be like as I say,
- 3:57Speaker 2: we've never been there, so we don't know what to expect,
- 4:00Speaker 2: but hopefully we've waited so long to ago that people
- 4:02Speaker 2: are waiting on us there. So yeah, I can't wait
- 4:05Speaker 2: for that show. Be exciting as well to see, like,
- 4:08Speaker 2: you know, doing a headline show, what are we worth there?
- 4:11Speaker 1: How many people care there? So and so the fact
- 4:15Speaker 1: that when we go with the.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Ghost Inside, we're just supporting, so we're settle be a
- 4:18Speaker 2: bit shorter, so we get to come and do a
- 4:19Speaker 2: full headline show as well, which will be amazing because
- 4:22Speaker 2: we're currently on a on a headline tour in Europe
- 4:24Speaker 2: at the moment for a new album and the shows
- 4:27Speaker 2: have been nuts, and there's like it's well, you know,
- 4:31Speaker 2: when you do a headline, headline show, you don't have
- 4:33Speaker 2: to worry about cramming as many songs as you want
- 4:36Speaker 2: until like a thirty or forty minute set, so you
- 4:38Speaker 2: get to play all the songs that everyone wants to hear.
- 4:40Speaker 1: So yeah, we're so excited for it.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Well, you know Astrians so well. Nine to spitting the
- 4:46Speaker 3: dummy when things don't out there?
- 4:47Speaker 4: Why am I?
- 4:48Speaker 3: And it's going to be people saying, what just Melbourne?
- 4:50Speaker 3: Especially since I didn't feature in your top fob Spartify series.
- 4:54Speaker 4: What are we going to tell them?
- 4:57Speaker 1: I don't fucking know.
- 5:03Speaker 2: This is just you know, this is just a one off.
- 5:05Speaker 2: But we will be back to do a headline at
- 5:07Speaker 2: some point, so just be patient.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Social media, that's that's another thing.
- 5:13Speaker 4: Is Ryan sound that much of my patients.
- 5:19Speaker 1: The Aussies are very similar to the Scottish. Yes, yeah,
- 5:23Speaker 1: just fine.
- 5:24Speaker 3: I went on a holiday to Scotland about four years
- 5:26Speaker 3: ago and people over there exactly the same as that,
- 5:29Speaker 3: except you can drink a little bit more.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Yeah, there's not many people that can drink as much as.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Us, So you're gonna be torn on the back of
- 5:38Speaker 3: the lightest album, Zenith, which came out back on for
- 5:41Speaker 3: the fourth So was there album received as well as
- 5:43Speaker 3: the hyper would be.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Yeah, it's one thing we're actually realizing on this tour, Like.
- 5:50Speaker 2: This tour has been the biggest headline shows that we've
- 5:52Speaker 2: ever done today and we've not even got to the
- 5:55Speaker 2: biggest ones of the tour yet.
- 5:56Speaker 1: And I'm noticing, like.
- 5:59Speaker 2: During the shows more people singing the words to the
- 6:01Speaker 2: new songs, and there is a lot of older ones,
- 6:04Speaker 2: Like we're playing songs from like an album Fracture, songs
- 6:08Speaker 2: that have not played like since that album came out
- 6:10Speaker 2: in twenty twenty, and we're calling those old songs on
- 6:14Speaker 2: the stage, you know what I mean. I feel like
- 6:17Speaker 2: the new album is such an impact that they almost
- 6:19Speaker 2: feel the cold song now. It's it's been a it's
- 6:22Speaker 2: been a very eye opening tour and yeah, like it's
- 6:27Speaker 2: just showing how how well the new album has been perceived.
- 6:30Speaker 1: So it's yeah, it's been well.
- 6:33Speaker 3: I'll spike when he gots around the same time as
- 6:35Speaker 3: that album came out and you said the title of
- 6:38Speaker 3: the album reflected the fact that played from me. Then
- 6:40Speaker 3: we're at the peak of your career, but you still
- 6:42Speaker 3: feel like that or do you still think there's been
- 6:44Speaker 3: more climbing today?
- 6:51Speaker 1: But the arms about as well.
- 6:52Speaker 2: It's not just about like us be album is our
- 6:54Speaker 2: best work today, but it's also about recognizing where we've
- 7:00Speaker 2: a space.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Above, where where we're ready to go next.
- 7:03Speaker 2: You know, it's not just about like us being the
- 7:06Speaker 2: biggest in a career or whatever. It's mostly about like,
- 7:10Speaker 2: like we feel it's the strongest work we've written, but
- 7:12Speaker 2: it's it's not going to be, you know, if that
- 7:15Speaker 2: makes sense.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Sorry, man, I'm trying to string boards together.
- 7:17Speaker 3: But either fine, man, you should have a Ginness in
- 7:20Speaker 3: your hand instead of a Covey.
- 7:24Speaker 1: You know, It's funny. I'm working at right now and
- 7:26Speaker 1: there's a Guinness sitting right.
- 7:27Speaker 4: And do it.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Do it?
- 7:29Speaker 4: You feel a hell of a little better. Crack. It
- 7:39Speaker 4: is everything.
- 7:44Speaker 3: The bed also studying a quite around the time the
- 7:46Speaker 3: album came out, that we've still got so much to
- 7:48Speaker 3: experiment with musically.
- 7:50Speaker 4: So do you liberate on no Where or what that
- 7:52Speaker 4: experimentation might be.
- 7:56Speaker 2: It's so hard to say, you know, we've like we've
- 7:58Speaker 2: only just started throwing like small ideas together for the
- 8:02Speaker 2: next album yet, But right now we're just enjoying this
- 8:05Speaker 2: one and trying to take it to places we can.
- 8:08Speaker 1: But we will start.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Writing soon and we always try to, like you know,
- 8:11Speaker 2: experiment with each album. And yeah, I just right now,
- 8:15Speaker 2: I don't know what that looks like, but it for
- 8:17Speaker 2: sure will happen.
- 8:19Speaker 3: But the other end is the music on Zennis reflect
- 8:22Speaker 3: the Bed's musical growth. I guess from the debut album
- 8:24Speaker 3: Humanity to the Spawn in the Korea.
- 8:31Speaker 1: I guess just I don't know.
- 8:34Speaker 2: I guess it's just maturity, you know, Like when we
- 8:36Speaker 2: wrote those albums, we're seventeen, eighteen years old.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Now we're like mid to late thirties.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Like I just feel like, naturally, your sound is going
- 8:47Speaker 2: to mature with your age, you know. Yeah, I feel
- 8:50Speaker 2: like back then, when we were kids, it was just
- 8:52Speaker 2: all about writing the heaviest, fast songs.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Now it's about writing music that's.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Timelessly, you know, like that's that that's what's important to
- 9:01Speaker 2: me anyway. You know, like when I'm if I live
- 9:04Speaker 2: to my seventies, I will still be listening to bands
- 9:07Speaker 2: like Metallica, Pantera, Slipknot, you know, because they've written it
- 9:11Speaker 2: doesn't matter how heavy it is, they've just written songs
- 9:13Speaker 2: that are timeless. And that's something that's to me. It's
- 9:16Speaker 2: just it's not just about being the heaviest band in
- 9:19Speaker 2: the world or the fastest band in order. That's about
- 9:21Speaker 2: writing music that you're going to want to listen to
- 9:23Speaker 2: when mature, Timeless music you're going to listen to when
- 9:26Speaker 2: you're like, you know, sixty sevent year old man.
- 9:30Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, very cool.
- 9:31Speaker 3: Before I let you go, bro, I got a new
- 9:33Speaker 3: segment I've started called fire Out Bomb. So basically I've
- 9:35Speaker 3: trod three social media and I've been a couple of
- 9:37Speaker 3: fight outs and ask a little bit.
- 9:38Speaker 4: More about So we'll start with this one.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Like this is obviously taking on your shoe with slipknot,
- 9:44Speaker 3: but take us take us behind the scenes of bit
- 9:47Speaker 3: probably like how well was that experience would have been sensation.
- 9:51Speaker 2: I was not in my body during that photo, to
- 9:53Speaker 2: be honest with you, that was the most insane moment
- 9:55Speaker 2: in my life.
- 9:57Speaker 1: It's the photo slip notly when.
- 10:01Speaker 2: See when we were like fifteen sixteen years old, we cued,
- 10:06Speaker 2: or me and David did. At least we cued for
- 10:08Speaker 2: like seven or eight hours in the pissing rain in
- 10:10Speaker 2: Glasgow to meet Slipknot and get our album signed. So
- 10:13Speaker 2: we stood to be on tour with them and to
- 10:16Speaker 2: be standing there in those boiler suits.
- 10:18Speaker 1: It was the most surreal.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Moment in my life because I still am a massive,
- 10:23Speaker 2: massive fan of that band.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Like it's just the nostalgia is off the charts.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Honestly, I barely remember that moment and I hadn't even
- 10:32Speaker 2: had a beer.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Well, the second one I've got is it's a great
- 10:38Speaker 3: fight I've been Do you do this sort of thing
- 10:40Speaker 3: off and then it doesn't look size?
- 10:43Speaker 1: Yeah? I do every single show.
- 10:46Speaker 4: That's it.
- 10:47Speaker 2: On the last song, when the when the when the
- 10:49Speaker 2: bagpipes are playing, on their last song, I climb on
- 10:52Speaker 2: top of the crowd.
- 10:53Speaker 1: I do it every show.
- 10:55Speaker 4: Has it ever gone Petshape? Does anyone ever let you
- 10:57Speaker 4: go or worse not, let you go back to start? No?
- 11:01Speaker 2: Not really no, But there's there has been a few
- 11:03Speaker 2: moments where I've not been feeling very well and ship
- 11:05Speaker 2: myself and still done.
- 11:06Speaker 3: It ship And I've got nothing from there. They're going
- 11:17Speaker 3: to say, the hell has a view from there? It
- 11:20Speaker 3: doesn't feel different, But I've got nothing. I'll pity the
- 11:23Speaker 3: poor guy, your the ship down your leg, the libraries.
- 11:27Speaker 2: It wasn't it wasn't enough that it went down my leg, fortunately,
- 11:30Speaker 2: but it has happened.
- 11:32Speaker 1: But it's such a you know, it's like one of
- 11:33Speaker 1: those for the crowd.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Is one of those kind of talking points, you know,
- 11:37Speaker 2: it's if we're we're supporting. I just see it as
- 11:40Speaker 2: like something that I can do in the show that
- 11:42Speaker 2: will make people remember the show, you know.
- 11:45Speaker 4: Yeah, right, all right, well we can't wait to see
- 11:47Speaker 4: that in Australia.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Might not bring a spare pair of trucks along to
- 11:49Speaker 3: the show, just in case you shit yourself again. Within
- 11:52Speaker 3: here from O Tiber ninety eight in free metal head
- 11:56Speaker 3: through all the other cities their own headline shout of
- 11:58Speaker 3: Taber twenty second Melbourne.
- 11:59Speaker 4: So best luck road and you get yourself some rest.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Jeers Chris, Thanks very much, mate,
