- 0:00Hello warriors.
- 0:02Welcome back to the podcast.
- 0:04You are about to listen to a conversation that I had with Marilyn.
- 0:09Awhile back in regards to insurance.
- 0:12We receive a call from a prospective patient in regards to us except insurance.
- 0:17How, she has been sick and so on and so forth.
- 0:22So I wanted to give you access to my private conversation with.
- 0:26Maryland.
- 0:27And how much value people get out of our consultation.
- 0:31At the time of recording, our consultation fee is$430, but I have to tell you, we do a lot of work for that$430.
- 0:40You will hear us discussing all.
- 0:43The values and all the work that we put in for the two hour consultation the before and the after and the in between work that we do.
- 0:53To serve our patients.
- 0:54If you want to see the video format of this podcast, we also have it in our YouTube channel.
- 1:00I'll put the link below.
- 1:02But, this is a very powerful, yet simple all about health insurance.
- 1:06And hopefully my listening to this, you really have to decide.
- 1:10How much healing you want to get done.
- 1:12And what is the financial piece could look like?
- 1:15To get you to that goal I also have to say this episode is woah.
- 1:22On edited.
- 1:24On kart.
- 1:25so therefore you might be able to hear.
- 1:28The expression or how we feel coming through our voice, or if you are watching the video format, then you'll see our facial expression.
- 1:36All right let's get to it you are listening.
- 1:41Listening to the prepared patient podcast with Dr.
- 1:45Jennifer GNC, where we discuss what it really takes to heal your body.
- 1:49With the symbol tools we source is a mindset to get you there.
- 1:53I am determined to show you the reality of navigating the medical space as a patient caregiver and loved ones.
- 2:01So you can be empowered and take back the most precious and important asset of your life, which is your health.
- 2:08Let's get ready.
- 2:10Comfortable and get started So I had to literally take my phone and hit record the sentence you just mentioned, because as This is Marilyn everyone.
- 2:26Hi.
- 2:26What's happening here?
- 2:28As you've been working with a lot of insurance companies, insurance claims from a previous office, right?
- 2:36So you I think, have a lot of knowledge when it comes to office visits, consultations.
- 2:43Like follow up visits when it comes to pricing and how much the insurance are paying.
- 2:47So we have a patient that's interested, right in our consultation.
- 2:51Mm-hmm.
- 2:52And what is the price for the new patient consultation?
- 2:57Our fee is$430, and that consists of two office visits, one hour each.
- 3:05The first consultation is one hour.
- 3:08Dr.
- 3:08Jetti goes over review.
- 3:10Include reviewing all the fingers out, all intake forms and any documents that they sent over.
- 3:18You're reviewing all that prior to them coming in because you wanna get knowledge of their case before they're coming in.
- 3:24You don't wanna be flipping pages right when they're sitting here.
- 3:28So that's what we asked our patients that they need to complete that paperwork.
- 3:31The intake form, consent form seven day food journal has to be done as soon as possible.
- 3:37Or at least 72 hours prior to their appointment and they're getting two office visits.
- 3:43If you think about it,$430.
- 3:46You divide that into two, that's$215 each office visit.
- 3:51Each office visit.
- 3:52Yeah.
- 3:53And how much does, I mean how much did you see in your, in your years of work, cuz you've been doing insurance, you've been working with insurance claims and been in I processing for years.
- 4:03Mm-hmm.
- 4:03Right.
- 4:03Over like 20 years.
- 4:05But how much do you think one office visit is.
- 4:08Worth in the conventional space.
- 4:10And how long is one office visit?
- 4:11One office visit is usually 15 minutes because if you think about it, when you go to your regular doctor and it has to happen to me, I got charged 180 something dollars for 15 minutes.
- 4:25K.
- 4:26Literally, I, I think I waited 10 minutes and got seen by five.
- 4:30No man.
- 4:31I'm serious.
- 4:32Well, you got charged, but it's not, you're not paying for, I'm not paying for my insurance company.
- 4:36But who pays your insurance company though?
- 4:37My husband does.
- 4:38It gets paid.
- 4:39It gets, he pays a premium.
- 4:41Every, every, you tell me you still pay for it.
- 4:43Yes.
- 4:43Although it's not directly coming out of your pocket, but somebody, I mean, you think insurance just gonna pay for office visits and not getting the money?
- 4:51No.
- 4:51So 15 minutes?
- 4:53Yeah, usually 15 minutes.
- 4:55I mean, the most, I went to an IME and that happened.
- 4:59I waited more than what I got seen.
- 5:01Well, to be honest, yeah.
- 5:03I mean, welcome to Conventional world.
- 5:05Yeah.
- 5:06I mean, I have to tell you, and, and I say this and people can judge me and criticize me.
- 5:11My baby Jacque, her pediatrician will see her for like 10 minutes.
- 5:17For 400 and something dollars.
- 5:19Because we don't have insurance.
- 5:21Right?
- 5:22So 15 minutes to ask me the same question she asked the week before, how is she doing?
- 5:27Is she pooping?
- 5:28Yes.
- 5:28Is she eating?
- 5:29Yes.
- 5:29Is she burping?
- 5:30Yes.
- 5:30Is she crying?
- 5:31No.
- 5:31Is she sleeping?
- 5:32Yes.
- 5:33Okay.
- 5:34I'll see her in two weeks.
- 5:35I'm like, okay.
- 5:37All right.
- 5:38So then off she goes.
- 5:40When I take my baby to doctor, to the chiropractor, Dr.
- 5:45Tennis, shout out to Dr.
- 5:47Dennis.
- 5:48I will spend an hour and a half with her, not waiting with her in the room with the baby.
- 5:54She's examining, she's teaching me, she's stranding me.
- 5:58She's asking questions.
- 5:59We're talking about all the things, baby, as she is pushing down on her back and trying to find pressure points and looking at her belly and weighing her, like all the things for$50.
- 6:11No insurance.
- 6:12No insurance.
- 6:15So it's like, But of course, uh, she, it is one of his visits and then she's not doing, you know, she's not looking at any paperwork or the blood work, it's just like mm-hmm.
- 6:23You know, um, because again, you know, as a practitioner, she has discounted rate, which is awesome, but it's like, it gets so much so when people hear$430, they don't see the work that I do behind the scenes.
- 6:39I see it.
- 6:41Well, you're here, so you see all the things.
- 6:42Yeah.
- 6:43I, and the work that you do, It is actually, to be honest, it, it should be more than that.
- 6:50It should be.
- 6:51It should be because, but again, when people hear the, they look at the money, they don't look at the value.
- 6:56Mm-hmm.
- 6:56Sometimes people will sit exactly where you're sitting on that chair and I'm going over previous blood work done by previous practitioner, and they look at me like, oh, I didn't know that.
- 7:05So imagine I am taking an hour, sometimes an hour and a half to look at all the paperwork to formulate the questions.
- 7:12To really paint a picture of what's going on with you.
- 7:15When you do come in, we can spend that whole hour talking to you, just like Marilyn said, not flipping papers.
- 7:22Mm-hmm.
- 7:22So this patient said it's a lot of money, right?
- 7:24$430 insurance doesn't cover insurance, will not cover$430 of me spending four hours of work one hour before you come, two hours together, and then an hour preparing.
- 7:37The, you know, the, um, program, the meal plan, um, the programs, the treatment plan so that I can literally give you all the recommendations according to the results of your blood work.
- 7:48Mm-hmm.
- 7:51Yeah, that's crazy.
- 7:53But we'll spend$430 at the mall,$430 and like, you know, things for instant gratification.
- 8:01And their health.
- 8:02The health I'm is so true.
- 8:04Health is, is is bad.
- 8:07If you don't have health, you have no life.
- 8:10No, I, I, I agree with you.
- 8:13So then how do you explain all the people that are waking up every day going to work and they, you know, to them they feel like they, they, they're living and everything, but when you have aches and pains and, and you have.
- 8:26Gas blow constipation.
- 8:29Um, that's not a, that's not living.
- 8:31Acid FLS fatigue.
- 8:32Acid reflux fatigue, yeah.
- 8:34Mm-hmm.
- 8:34Wave fog energy, brain fog.
- 8:37Yep.
- 8:38And that's how, I mean, your body's gonna hold you for, I mean, like, I wanna put, your body's just gonna stop working.
- 8:44Mm-hmm.
- 8:44You can push through.
- 8:46And force your body to work for you, but trust me, start driving you with a car with a flat tire.
- 8:50Mm-hmm.
- 8:51Gonna come to a point where all the tire is gonna fall off.
- 8:53It's like Ashley came in this weekend.
- 8:56Oh, your daughter?
- 8:56Not this weekend.
- 8:57She came in on Friday and got her I Energy IV and yesterday she goes, mom, oh my God, I am so thankful for you and Dr.
- 9:05Gente with Dr.
- 9:06Gente because I do see the difference with that IV bag she was And how much is that iv?
- 9:12I mean regular breath.
- 9:13The energy iv, she got an energy, she loves the energy IV 280.
- 9:18Wow.
- 9:18That's a lot of money Marilyn.
- 9:19And no, she is paying for, but is it worth the energy?
- 9:23She literally was interactive with us this weekend.
- 9:29Mm-hmm.
- 9:29And she daughter and yeah.
- 9:31And she was usually before she will be like, she will be so exhausted cuz she works early now she's gonna be working nights.
- 9:37And she would just like lock herself in the, because she was exhausted, tired all the time.
- 9:42Mm-hmm.
- 9:42And she says that she feels so good after getting the iv.
- 9:47You see, that's the thing people don't understand.
- 9:48I will give you a million dollars if you can fix my problem.
- 9:51If you have a, like, if you have a, a thing that can literally fix my problem, give me the energy, give me the vitality and stamina for me to be myself, for me to be out there enjoying life, I'll give you all my money.
- 10:05Because I know once you, you know, help me fix the apartment, I can go make more money.
- 10:09Mm-hmm.
- 10:10So it's like when people look at the money and they don't look at the value, it's like, what are you doing?
- 10:14It's the value.
- 10:15You're getting value.
- 10:17You're getting value.
- 10:18And that's the thing I see that most people neglect the house, but they spend money, a lot of money and other things like we have like people out there making zillions and millions of dollars.
- 10:29Just like business building and coaching and doing other things that are not health related.
- 10:35And they're making a lot of money.
- 10:39A lot of money.
- 10:39Mm-hmm.
- 10:40It's like, what is your prior, oh no.
- 10:42What are your priorities?
- 10:43Anyways, so I wanted to really record this cuz it's people don't understand that you do pay your insurance company, you give a copay and then you pay your insurance company and then if your insurance company is out of network, they will send you to.
- 10:58Collection collection, the doctors will make sure they get paid.
- 11:03Like you will end up paying that 400 or 500 or 300 or 200 for that 15, 30 minute visit.
- 11:09Mm-hmm.
- 11:09Eh, it is gonna happen.
- 11:11Yeah.
- 11:13I got, I gotta a bill for my doctor, which I gotta pay.
- 11:17I know.
- 11:18You were telling me, I remember you were telling me.
- 11:19I don't understand.
- 11:20He's out of network now, Dr.
- 11:22I'm like, it's happening.
- 11:23Mm-hmm.
- 11:24It is happening.
- 11:25It is happening.
- 11:26And then, It is just you have to open your mind that it's not all about medication.
- 11:34Oh boy.
- 11:34There's other way.
- 11:35There's other healthier things that you could be able to do to be able to get yourself to, no way.
- 11:42You gotta tell me medication's, not it.
- 11:44No.
- 11:47People.
- 11:48Oh my gosh.
- 11:48That's a different subject.
- 11:49That's a different subject.
- 11:50We're not gonna like that door.
- 11:51Oh no, we're not gonna light that up.
- 11:54No, we're gonna leave it closed.
- 11:55Cause you don't want people to, you know, like, comment.
- 11:58But at the end of the day, you do what's best for you.
- 12:01You do what's best for you.
- 12:02If it's what you doing is working, continue, never stop.
- 12:07But we see the end result of people not putting all the eggs in one basket, aka conventional medicine, not.
- 12:14Embracing the other type of medicine and how they finding out later on, five years later, 10 years later, boom, they feeling like, I don't know, horrible.
- 12:23And all the things they are work doing, it's not working.
- 12:26Mm-hmm.
- 12:27I, we see that all the time.
- 12:28So that's why I tell people to schedule natural healing assessment call, like get on the phone with us, talk to us, like we will literally help you identify what should be your next move on the call.
- 12:41So I don't understand why people don't schedule natural healthiness system call.
- 12:45It's free.
- 12:46You got to speak to me and I got to go over your issues with you.
- 12:48Like why are you not scheduling?
- 12:50Mm-hmm.
- 12:51Maybe because we haven't been promoted enough.
- 12:54I gotta think about that.
- 12:57And that's your healing assessment call.
- 12:59That's to get, gives you 15 to 20 minutes.
- 13:02Sometimes it goes a little right, but because your answer, it's like, I don't know how many doctors are you can get on the phone and talk to before you give them money.
- 13:10Mm-hmm.
- 13:11And that's the value.
- 13:12Like, get on the phone.
- 13:14We don't, we don't sell you, I don't pressure anyone because I only want people who wants to be here to be here.
- 13:21Like today, we had a few natural assessment call.
- 13:24One of them said, oh, I will call you when I'm ready.
- 13:26Although she's has a lot of issues and I'm saying to myself, okay, no problem.
- 13:30Call me when you're ready.
- 13:31And I'm like, lady, you are ready.
- 13:33Like, how, what is it gonna take?
- 13:36You ready?
- 13:37But she's gonna call us when she's ready and I will be here when she's ready.
- 13:42Mm-hmm.
- 13:42All right, Marilyn, what is the last thing you wanna tell these people?
- 13:46This fact schedule.
- 13:48If you have any health conditions and you wanna get to the root cause of the problem as to what's causing it, schedule call the office for the natural healing assessment call.
- 13:58Yeah.
- 13:59And then you don't have to be in the state of New Jersey.
- 14:01We have patients out of state as well.
- 14:02Yes.
- 14:03Uh huh.
- 14:04They don't have to be many people be like, oh, I don't even address.
- 14:06Nope.
- 14:06I have patients in Louisiana, Georgia, Georgia.
- 14:11We have patients in Salt Lake City.
- 14:13She does very well.
- 14:14Um, we have patients all over because again, it's, you know, less all over.
- 14:20So it's, the work that we do does not endanger you only helps.
- 14:25So it's just schedule a call, see how we can help, and then if we are a good fit, great.
- 14:31If not, We're still gonna love you.
- 14:33Yeah, we're just gonna talk to you.
- 14:34We're just gonna make, make you see other opportunities or possibilities out there for you to consider.
- 14:40But at the end of the day, you get to choose what you wanna do.
- 14:42It's your health, your body, your wealth, your money, your everything you choose.
- 14:47Mm.
- 14:49That's it.
- 14:50thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for listening to this episode.
