- 0:07Speaker 1: This podcast.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Welcome to Meet Eater Trivia, the only game show where
- 0:12Speaker 2: conservation always wins. I'm your host, Spencer Newhartan. Today we're
- 0:16Speaker 2: joined by Jannis, Brody, Randall, Max, Laura Cordy and Nate.
- 0:21Speaker 2: This is a ten round quiz show with questions from
- 0:23Speaker 2: Meat Eater's four verticals, which are hunting, fishing, conservation, and cooking,
- 0:26Speaker 2: and there's a prize. Meat Eater will donate five hundred
- 0:29Speaker 2: dollars to the conservation organization of the winners. Choosing for
- 0:33Speaker 2: the last few stats of the week, we looked at
- 0:35Speaker 2: player performance by category in twenty twenty five. As a reminder,
- 0:39Speaker 2: Yannis leads in hunting, where he gets eighty percent of
- 0:43Speaker 2: questions correct. Brody leads in fishing, where he gets seventy
- 0:46Speaker 2: two percent of questions correct. This week we'll look at
- 0:49Speaker 2: conservation and he guesses as to who leads the conservation
- 0:53Speaker 2: category Randall, Brody, Randal unanimous, Randall and Randall is Brody
- 1:01Speaker 2: say that.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Because you win all the categories here.
- 1:07Speaker 2: No Hunting. Steve is the fifth best, getting fifty three
- 1:11Speaker 2: percent of questions correct. Then it's Nate at fifty six percent.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Nate three percent better than Steve. Giannis at fifty eight percent,
- 1:21Speaker 2: Brody at sixty seven percent, and Randall at seventy two
- 1:24Speaker 2: per cow.
- 1:26Speaker 1: That's a gap.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Randall is the most consistent player across categories, with his
- 1:31Speaker 2: worst category being sixty eight percent and his best being
- 1:34Speaker 2: seventy two. How about that.
- 1:36Speaker 3: You'd think I win more games? Then what's your worst category?
- 1:41Speaker 2: It must have been fishing fishing sixty eight percent?
- 1:43Speaker 4: Does that mean you have like a not even dispersion
- 1:46Speaker 4: of categories in the average game.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Uh, cooking has the least representation.
- 1:51Speaker 1: In the So like Brody's fishing excellence outweighs.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Hunting, fishing, conservation are all very equal. Those all have
- 1:58Speaker 2: about the same size pool of questions. And then cooking, uh,
- 2:01Speaker 2: you know, is probably forty percent.
- 2:05Speaker 5: I would like to request more cooking questions, Spencer, because
- 2:08Speaker 5: I am better at cooking.
- 2:11Speaker 3: We already used all the good cooking ones.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Let's just stick to it. I have a great cooking
- 2:15Speaker 1: one in.
- 2:15Speaker 2: The docket this week. We have a foraging end of cooking. Oh,
- 2:19Speaker 2: you'll have a chance to different spots. So Randall feel
- 2:24Speaker 2: like we're underrepresented then and only twenty percent. Well, there's
- 2:28Speaker 2: other besides, like the four tent poles. You know, we
- 2:31Speaker 2: have like woodsmanship, gear, wildlife, biology, ecology, natural history.
- 2:39Speaker 5: So it's now what do you call the the the
- 2:42Speaker 5: group of like when you talk about movies.
- 2:44Speaker 2: We'll have today, Janni and I believe that falls under conservation.
- 2:49Speaker 6: Great bullshit, but I can't wait to hear it.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Spencer it for housekeeping. Today we're gonna talk about Turkey Week.
- 2:58Speaker 2: We are a couple of days into Turkey Week here
- 3:00Speaker 2: at Meat Eater, Joannis tell folks what that's all about.
- 3:05Speaker 6: I can tell you. Max and I just got back
- 3:07Speaker 6: from Texas. We started our turkey season off pretty good.
- 3:11Speaker 5: We're hearing in the same spot. Are they gobbling good
- 3:13Speaker 5: for you?
- 3:14Speaker 7: Yeah? They definitely were, uh not, I mean on the limb,
- 3:17Speaker 7: they definitely were. But it seemed like the first couple
- 3:20Speaker 7: of hours was hit or miss.
- 3:22Speaker 2: So how many dead turkeys between the two of you?
- 3:26Speaker 6: I shot two?
- 3:28Speaker 2: Okay, that makes three one and a half week.
- 3:31Speaker 5: No, we had just Jesse Griffiths and I hosted a
- 3:34Speaker 5: sweepstakes hunt for the National Wild Turkey Federation.
- 3:40Speaker 8: And it seems like.
- 3:41Speaker 9: You're doing a little more hunting and hosting there and
- 3:43Speaker 9: you shot two of them.
- 3:46Speaker 5: You know, it's funny you're not the first person to
- 3:47Speaker 5: say that, brod. No, it just so happened that they
- 3:51Speaker 5: the Holly was the gal that won. She brought her
- 3:54Speaker 5: husband Zendel with her. They wanted to hunt together, and
- 3:58Speaker 5: we figured four was a crew out, and so Jesse
- 4:01Speaker 5: took him the first morning. I happened to shoot a
- 4:03Speaker 5: bird the first morning, and then I hunted with him
- 4:05Speaker 5: the second morning, and Holly shot a bird that day,
- 4:08Speaker 5: and so did Jesse, and then Zendel and I doubled
- 4:13Speaker 5: damn in the ninth inning on the Technically we're amly
- 4:15Speaker 5: supposed to hunt through Thursday evening, but we then didn't
- 4:18Speaker 5: have a bird yet, so we went out Friday morning
- 4:21Speaker 5: and uh yeah, we.
- 4:23Speaker 6: Had a heck of a hunt.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Okay, I'll save that for another good turkey season.
- 4:27Speaker 5: That was awesome, But yeah, Turkey Week is here at
- 4:29Speaker 5: Meat Eater. I think the most exciting part about Turkey
- 4:33Speaker 5: Week for me is this awesome ultimate Turkey giveaway that
- 4:38Speaker 5: our buddy Cody Dinsmore is put together over from first Light.

- 5:00Speaker 2: Brody was making eyes around the room I was looking
- 5:02Speaker 2: for I was looking for.
- 5:04Speaker 6: That was my things.
- 5:06Speaker 5: Yeah, my wife is cussing over text. She's not much
- 5:09Speaker 5: of a cause or something else wrong.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Too much time already probably, But yeah, the Ultimate Turkey
- 5:18Speaker 2: uh giveaway.

- 5:23Speaker 5: at the mediator dot com. You can also sign up
- 5:25Speaker 5: at first Light Logan Dove actually told me there's four
- 5:28Speaker 5: different pages where you can sign up, so if you
- 5:30Speaker 5: do a little bit of searching, you'll find it. But
- 5:32Speaker 5: let me tell you about this Ultimate Turkey give giveaway.
- 5:37Speaker 5: Starting off, there's a Texas Rio Grand Turkey Hunt. It's
- 5:40Speaker 5: being donated by bird Dog Outfitters. It's in the Hill Country.
- 5:46Speaker 5: Three days, three hunters, five tom's total. So not everybody
- 5:51Speaker 5: gets to shoot too but too or you could just
- 5:54Speaker 5: go by yourself.
- 5:55Speaker 3: That sounds like last week. Not everybody's shot too exactly.
- 6:00Speaker 10: I was very fortunate where your ganis pitelis mask and
- 6:04Speaker 10: you'll be fine.
- 6:04Speaker 6: You gotta be in the right place at the right time.
- 6:09Speaker 5: There are there is a Banelli twelve gauge super black
- 6:13Speaker 5: Eagle like gift card, a little combo from Sig Sour
- 6:18Speaker 5: which listen, those those image stablized binoculars. They're not great
- 6:25Speaker 5: for everything, but you know where they are just absolutely
- 6:27Speaker 5: perfect for hunt turkeys.
- 6:29Speaker 6: They're light.
- 6:30Speaker 5: You can just get them into a pocket of a
- 6:32Speaker 5: turkey vest. Yeah, and just one handed. It's super stable.
- 6:36Speaker 5: You can tell exactly how long those spurs are before
- 6:39Speaker 5: you shot.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Yeah, you can.
- 6:41Speaker 9: You can do a little spencer. You can gauge the
- 6:42Speaker 9: trophy quality of yeah Goblin.
- 6:47Speaker 5: Along with that from Sig there's a Romeo x Pro,
- 6:52Speaker 5: whole flock of ds D decoys, a magpull dac A kit.
- 6:57Speaker 5: There's some TSS a turkey ammunition from how do you
- 7:03Speaker 5: pronounce the company?
- 7:05Speaker 7: Migra use that four ten stuff and it was like
- 7:09Speaker 7: lethal hammered them.
- 7:12Speaker 5: A whole package of Phelps game calls, a pair of
- 7:14Speaker 5: Christie boots, Christy boots, three Moultrie Edge three trail cameras.
- 7:20Speaker 5: You know what you can do on those things. Now,
- 7:22Speaker 5: they have a smart capture thing. If you turn it
- 7:25Speaker 5: on and then you just tell it only take a
- 7:27Speaker 5: picture of deer and turkeys, and that is really cut
- 7:32Speaker 5: down in all of the squirrel leaf photos that I've got. Yeah,
- 7:37Speaker 5: it's pretty slick. I mean it's not perfect, but as
- 7:39Speaker 5: doing pretty good. A couple of case knives, FHF bino harness.
- 7:44Speaker 6: There's still more. He keeps telling that an Onyx.

- 7:53Speaker 5: a lot. It's over thirteen thousand dollars in value for
- 7:56Speaker 5: one person to win.
- 7:58Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 7:59Speaker 2: Wow, you could come into this owning zero pieces of
- 8:02Speaker 2: turkey gear, win the sweepstakes and you'd be said, you'd.
- 8:04Speaker 5: Be totally decked out, and you'd be going on a
- 8:06Speaker 5: turkey hunt.
- 8:08Speaker 6: Yeah yeah, and knocking the old.
- 8:09Speaker 5: Rio to go with the honest because they'll shoot him
- 8:12Speaker 5: right out.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Now. One of the ways that you can get ten
- 8:16Speaker 2: extra entries is for every twenty five dollars you spend
- 8:19Speaker 2: it first light, you get those ten extra suit.
- 8:22Speaker 5: So you can just go here and sign up one time,
- 8:24Speaker 5: you get one entry. If you go and spend twenty
- 8:27Speaker 5: five bucks, you get ten more. But during Turkey Week
- 8:30Speaker 5: it's actually double entries. So April until April fifth, for
- 8:35Speaker 5: every twenty five bucks you spend, your name goes in
- 8:38Speaker 5: the pot twenty times.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Wow, Maximus. If you were trying to up your ods
- 8:42Speaker 2: and you were gonna drop a little money at first
- 8:44Speaker 2: Light for Turkey Week, what would you be buying?
- 8:47Speaker 11: Number one?
- 8:48Speaker 7: Tree Line Turkey Vest. Okay, I never used to be
- 8:51Speaker 7: a vest Turkey guy. Like I used to keep all
- 8:54Speaker 7: the stuff in my pockets and it was all cluttered
- 8:56Speaker 7: and unorganized.
- 8:58Speaker 11: Tree Line Turkey.
- 8:58Speaker 7: Vest game chain your next couple of things. I'm a
- 9:02Speaker 7: big fan of the Brambler Gators. I just don't like
- 9:08Speaker 7: my feet getting wet, pants getting wet, so I wear
- 9:10Speaker 7: those keep ticks out.
- 9:12Speaker 2: To any part of the country. You'd be wearing those.
- 9:15Speaker 7: I warm in Texas, I'll warm up in Montana.
- 9:17Speaker 11: Everywhere.
- 9:17Speaker 7: Just helps keep your boots dry and clean and ticks out.
- 9:21Speaker 7: And then one thing I think a lot of Turkey
- 9:23Speaker 7: hunters sometimes forget and lose is just a net gat too.
- 9:28Speaker 7: First like makes the aerowoll net gator. Pick up two
- 9:32Speaker 7: or three of those and you'll be set for the season.
- 9:34Speaker 5: Speaking net gators, I wore the approachitty this week as
- 9:38Speaker 5: the built in face mask, and I like that one
- 9:41Speaker 5: because it sits off your face. A little bit more
- 9:43Speaker 5: than the net gator, so it's not quite as tight,
- 9:45Speaker 5: a little bit cooler.
- 9:45Speaker 2: What are you smarking about something?
- 9:48Speaker 3: Get a look at these guys.
- 9:50Speaker 5: Did you cut your little little Oh?
- 9:54Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 9:54Speaker 5: For my cigarettes, I have to drop my mask down.
- 10:00Speaker 5: I don't have my smoke, you know out there.
- 10:04Speaker 2: You probably don't even have to do it anyway, you
- 10:06Speaker 2: can probably still and halt.
- 10:08Speaker 6: You're right at first, I like to feel the filter
- 10:11Speaker 6: between a.
- 10:13Speaker 9: Standard feature for all the smokers.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Are you really smoking if you don't feel that paper?
- 10:17Speaker 6: Yeah? Exactly, exactly So.
- 10:20Speaker 5: Besides the giveaway a bunch of turkey content on the website.
- 10:25Speaker 6: I even wrote a couple of articles.
- 10:27Speaker 5: Tony's got one out there right now says how to
- 10:29Speaker 5: figure out how to cut through all the gobbler gibberish,
- 10:32Speaker 5: figure out what you really need to know to talk
- 10:34Speaker 5: to turkeys, So Tony writes, I think you should.
- 10:38Speaker 10: Yanni worked really hard on his articles last week. He
- 10:40Speaker 10: was sweating it.
- 10:42Speaker 5: Yeah, and then Randall put in basically the prompts to AI,
- 10:46Speaker 5: which then promptly wrote an article better than the one
- 10:49Speaker 5: I had spent a day on.
- 10:51Speaker 12: But he went with his own screwy it kind of did,
- 10:57Speaker 12: because he even prompted that like said it to write
- 11:00Speaker 12: it like you're honest, and it did.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Okay, Well, you can get that content at the medieater
- 11:04Speaker 2: dot com. You can learn more about the Turkeyweek sweepstakes
- 11:07Speaker 2: at store dot the medeater dot com. It's happening right now,
- 11:11Speaker 2: all right. The Shelby inext for today is four, so
- 11:14Speaker 2: our winners should get eight correct answers and with that
- 11:16Speaker 2: we're onto the game.
- 11:21Speaker 1: That laptop. I need to know what I stand just
- 11:28Speaker 1: tend to win everything.
- 11:37Speaker 2: On Suckers Question one, the topic is wildlife. This first
- 11:41Speaker 2: great question is via Zach Johnson and it will be
- 11:44Speaker 2: multiple choice. Which of these animals is monogamous? Is it
- 11:50Speaker 2: garter snake, bison? Orca or sandhill crane? Which of these
- 12:00Speaker 2: animals is monogamous? One of them is? Three of them
- 12:04Speaker 2: are not? Is it garter snake, bison? Like this question
- 12:08Speaker 2: is ka or sand hill crane? A quick confident room.
- 12:13Speaker 3: I really like Turkey Week Max. This is a good Max.
- 12:18Speaker 3: He's very happy.
- 12:20Speaker 10: But also I like when Max gets serious about stuff,
- 12:22Speaker 10: like when you brought up the shot.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Max is just like that that kills that kills good.
- 12:30Speaker 3: This is a good Max.
- 12:31Speaker 6: Yeah, deliver.
- 12:32Speaker 10: If I had to deliver some bad news to Max
- 12:35Speaker 10: during I would do it during Turkey Week here.
- 12:36Speaker 5: I would like to see more Max in front of
- 12:39Speaker 5: the camera, as we all would.
- 12:40Speaker 1: I think.
- 12:41Speaker 6: So if you're out there.
- 12:42Speaker 5: In the mediator world and you agree with me right
- 12:44Speaker 5: in because we need a little pressure.
- 12:46Speaker 3: You just you just ruined my happy Max.
- 12:51Speaker 6: Face just turned.
- 12:52Speaker 5: I'm not looking at it, but I think I figured
- 12:54Speaker 5: out a way to his heart, to get his heart
- 12:56Speaker 5: in front of the camera, because he's like, when are
- 12:58Speaker 5: we going to go on a hunt and to see
- 13:01Speaker 5: Jay Scott in Mexico for Goulds during and I was like, well, Max,
- 13:05Speaker 5: as long as you get in front of the camera,
- 13:07Speaker 5: you can come along anytime.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Get which of these animals is monogamous?
- 13:12Speaker 7: I did a little self filming in Texas, so that's
- 13:14Speaker 7: also coming out this Turkey Week.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Go to Snake, Bison Orca, sand Hill Crane, go ahead
- 13:20Speaker 2: and reveal your answers. Nate says sand Hill Crane. Laura
- 13:25Speaker 2: and Randall, the whole room says sandal Crane. The whole
- 13:28Speaker 2: room got it right. The correct answer is sand Hill Crane.
- 13:31Speaker 11: Did Shall we get that one right?
- 13:33Speaker 2: Uh? She did, Yes, she got that one right. Sandal
- 13:36Speaker 2: cranes begin breeding at age two or three, but some
- 13:39Speaker 2: won't start until they're age four or five. Both parents
- 13:43Speaker 2: help with incubating the eggs and raising the chick and
- 13:46Speaker 2: raising the chicks. Marriages can last for as long as
- 13:48Speaker 2: thirty years. Divorce is very rare, but sometimes it happens
- 13:52Speaker 2: if the duo is unable to successfully raise young or.
- 13:58Speaker 5: Listen, in our happy little valley where I live, the
- 14:01Speaker 5: neighbors have been watching this pair, they think the entire
- 14:04Speaker 5: time they've lived there, which is almost fifteen years, and
- 14:08Speaker 5: the pair has never been able to raise a single
- 14:13Speaker 5: cult to what do you call it flighthood to be
- 14:18Speaker 5: able to escape predatory. We watch them for like a month,
- 14:21Speaker 5: and then eventually there's no no baby babies.
- 14:24Speaker 2: They're on divorce watch.
- 14:25Speaker 5: Then maybe yeah, they just got they just came back
- 14:28Speaker 5: to town like in the last week, and it's lovely,
- 14:31Speaker 5: like when it's a quiet evening and listening to them squawking,
- 14:34Speaker 5: it's great.
- 14:35Speaker 2: It's make or break season for them. Then if they're
- 14:38Speaker 2: going to stay together.
- 14:39Speaker 5: I know I'm going to go to the neighbors and say, look,
- 14:42Speaker 5: I think I know how to help this along, but
- 14:44Speaker 5: I don't know if they're going to be into like
- 14:46Speaker 5: Predator watch, you know.
- 14:49Speaker 6: But hey, depends on your goals, you know.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Question two The topic is hunting. This brand calls itself
- 14:55Speaker 2: quote America's Master gun Maker and has a logo that
- 14:59Speaker 2: features there's a te over top of C. This brand
- 15:05Speaker 2: calls itself America's Mastered gun Maker and has a logo
- 15:09Speaker 2: that a few more over top. I hope Brody doesn't
- 15:16Speaker 2: winn today. What's that nothing? This brand calls itself America's
- 15:23Speaker 2: Mastered gun Maker and has a logo that features a
- 15:26Speaker 2: te over top a C. If you're watching this on YouTube,
- 15:30Speaker 2: you'll notice we are in a new studio, got it
- 15:34Speaker 2: figured job?
- 15:36Speaker 8: Yes, Steve was in here fifteen minutes before we hit record,
- 15:39Speaker 8: hanging stuff up, and we're not done. So it looks
- 15:41Speaker 8: the walls are a little bit there. Okay, would you
- 15:44Speaker 8: call that? You know, it was kind of a mistake
- 15:48Speaker 8: to have pretty close to some first slight colors because
- 15:50Speaker 8: Randall is almost just sinking into the wall right now.
- 15:53Speaker 8: But it's the same shade tarmac.
- 15:56Speaker 5: I actually like it the way that it's not cluttered
- 16:00Speaker 5: like it was, like, well.
- 16:02Speaker 8: Clutter's better for sound, and it's better for the camera,
- 16:05Speaker 8: So so we won't do that.
- 16:07Speaker 6: Should just do more, It should just be all hides.
- 16:11Speaker 2: It's America's master gun maker that has a logo that
- 16:16Speaker 2: features a T over top of sea. Go ahead and
- 16:18Speaker 2: reveal your answers. Nate says Colt Laura without an answer.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Randall says Thompson Center. Corey says Thompson to Turkey. Yanni
- 16:28Speaker 2: says Thompson Center. Max and Brody say Thompson Center. The
- 16:32Speaker 2: correct answer is Thompson Center. Thompson Center.
- 16:36Speaker 6: Wait, wait, is.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Not That's only happened? Whoa muscle guy, Thompson Center.
- 16:45Speaker 1: That's rich.
- 16:47Speaker 2: From last you guys think Corey should get that point
- 16:49Speaker 2: for having your Prince Island muscles or whatever.
- 16:53Speaker 1: No, oh yeah, I'm just saying, man.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Now now, Brody, when four out of seven people get
- 16:58Speaker 2: it correct, that's like the perfect trivia question. So you
- 17:01Speaker 2: thought it was too easy, I did still just right.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Thompson Center was founded in nineteen sixty five by Ken
- 17:07Speaker 2: Thompson and Warren Center. In nineteen seventy, they created the
- 17:11Speaker 2: Hawk and muzzleloader. According to the NRA, the gun was
- 17:15Speaker 2: so popular that it helped launch a muzzleloader hunting Revolution
- 17:19Speaker 2: in America. Question three of the topic is forging. Burdock
- 17:24Speaker 2: is commonly referred to as wild blank because of its
- 17:29Speaker 2: elephant ear leaves that resemble this garden perennial. The room
- 17:36Speaker 2: is stumped. Burdock is commonly referred to as wild blank
- 17:43Speaker 2: because of its elephant ear leaves that resemble this garden perennial. Wow,
- 17:52Speaker 2: Brody the only player to put marker to white.
- 17:54Speaker 1: But look at it.
- 17:54Speaker 2: But look at what he's doing now that doesn't love
- 17:57Speaker 2: what he wrote?
- 18:01Speaker 11: Who was looking for those?
- 18:05Speaker 8: For those not watching, Max is rubbing his whiteboard on
- 18:08Speaker 8: our podcast table.
- 18:10Speaker 2: It's the new Felts.
- 18:11Speaker 3: That's gonna be a favorite among the audio only.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Listeners Maxwell Podcast Studio call stop it, yeah enough, Max.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Burdock is commonly referred to as wild blank because of
- 18:24Speaker 2: its elephant ear leaves that resemble this garden perennial. Yanni
- 18:29Speaker 2: has now come up with an answer, Yanni, do you
- 18:31Speaker 2: like your answer?
- 18:32Speaker 1: Not really?
- 18:32Speaker 7: Okay?
- 18:33Speaker 2: Does it have elephant ear leaves? Is it a garden perennial?
- 18:36Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 18:37Speaker 2: Okay. Burdock is commonly referred to as wild blank because
- 18:43Speaker 2: of its elephant ear leaves, resemble this garden perennial, players
- 18:49Speaker 2: slowly locking in their answers, but nobody seems to love.
- 18:55Speaker 9: Oh man. I remember running around the woods, called.
- 18:58Speaker 2: It which woods back.
- 19:02Speaker 9: In back in the old days in the neighborhood wouldline
- 19:04Speaker 9: the old day woodsy old wood, one wood lot. It
- 19:08Speaker 9: seemed like it was a size of Montana.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Back then. It was probably like two acres burdock. It's
- 19:14Speaker 2: commonly referred to as wild Blank because of its elephant
- 19:18Speaker 2: ear leaves that resemble this garden perennial. Is everybody ready, Nate, dude.
- 19:25Speaker 4: I'm I had a big old test this morning, so
- 19:28Speaker 4: I'm pretty tired.

- 19:37Speaker 2: Yanni making a last second change. Yanni is good, Go

- 19:44Speaker 2: without an answer, Randall says rubarb. Corey says tulip, Yanni
- 19:50Speaker 2: says parsnip, Max says onions. Brody says rubarb. The correct
- 19:57Speaker 2: answer is rubarb. Brody and Randall got that one right,
- 20:03Speaker 2: Although Burdock looks like rhubarb, it doesn't taste like it.
- 20:07Speaker 2: The flavor of its edible taproot is described as nutty
- 20:11Speaker 2: or earthy, often compared to celery or artichoke. Ideally, it's
- 20:15Speaker 2: harvested before flowering in its first or second year of growth.
- 20:19Speaker 2: It's found across the continent, growing in disturbed areas like pastures, parks,
- 20:23Speaker 2: and ditches. There's a canal that runs by my neighborhood
- 20:26Speaker 2: that has a prolific amount of burdock in a harvest
- 20:30Speaker 2: sum this year. I think we should call it dish rubarb.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Ditch rubarb, that's good, ditch barb. Question four, the topic
- 20:38Speaker 2: is fishing. What is the color of a boat's starboard sidelight?
- 20:45Speaker 9: It's either one or two.
- 20:48Speaker 2: What is the color of a boat's starboard sidelight? A

- 22:20Speaker 2: What did you green? Okay, Brody, Red, Red Port return
- 22:26Speaker 2: The correct answer is green. Oh, I think half the
- 22:29Speaker 2: room got that one right. When standing inside of a
- 22:33Speaker 2: boat and looking forward, the port side is on your left,
- 22:36Speaker 2: The left light is red, The starboard side is on
- 22:39Speaker 2: your right, The right side is green. Each color is
- 22:43Speaker 2: supposed to form a one hundred and twelve degree arc
- 22:45Speaker 2: of light that's visible to approaching vessels, and Phil has
- 22:49Speaker 2: a diagram for us of the different lights that you
- 22:53Speaker 2: would see.
- 22:54Speaker 9: Running lights is just a good way to get caught

- 24:32Speaker 4: high school you take like the S A T or
- 24:33Speaker 4: the A C T to get in college. This is
- 24:36Speaker 4: like a test army nerds take when they're getting out
- 24:39Speaker 4: of the army to get a job.
- 24:41Speaker 2: But I just waited a project manage profession.
- 24:44Speaker 6: That's the one to get a job with the army.
- 24:47Speaker 4: No, no like to because you don't have like a
- 24:49Speaker 4: real resume coming out of the army. So guys are like,
- 24:51Speaker 4: what do I put on my resume? You take this
- 24:53Speaker 4: random test and hopefully it does something.
- 24:54Speaker 3: Nate, you have a job.

- 25:35Speaker 2: Randall Young of the year, Cory year over year, Yanni
- 25:40Speaker 2: Young of the year, Max, year of year, Ling Brody
- 25:45Speaker 2: Young of the year. The correct answer is young of
- 25:48Speaker 2: the year.
- 25:49Speaker 6: Should let's go.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Young of the year is a catch all term that
- 25:53Speaker 2: refers to fish that are in their first year of life.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Biologists do y O y surveys during the spring and

- 26:34Speaker 2: Question six the topic I've been.
- 26:36Speaker 3: Starting out pretty slowly in the past few weeks, so.
- 26:39Speaker 2: This did as well. Question six the topic is ecology.
- 26:42Speaker 2: This next great question is Via J. Rose. Cultivate and
- 26:47Speaker 2: propagate are synonyms for this nine letter word that's defined

- 26:58Speaker 2: and propagate our synonyms for this nine letter word that's

- 27:12Speaker 11: Usually it's like one or two.
- 27:14Speaker 8: More and one or two less.
- 27:15Speaker 2: We'll give yourself an extra point for that.
- 27:17Speaker 9: Max was just hoping for seven to eleven letters and the.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Perfect game for random.
- 27:25Speaker 6: Hanging in Jeopardy.
- 27:26Speaker 10: No faces, no look at my face, getting around, I
- 27:31Speaker 10: feel it getting read well.
- 27:32Speaker 9: I should probably wrap this one up.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Yeah, it stands out nicely against our new paint job
- 27:37Speaker 2: in here. Cultivate and propagate our synonyms for this nine
- 27:42Speaker 2: letter word that's defined ass to cause a seed to
- 27:46Speaker 2: start growing.
- 27:47Speaker 9: I felt like one as you hear Young of the Year,
- 27:50Speaker 9: a lot o bird.
- 27:53Speaker 2: We have six players who like their answer, and then Randall, No, yeah, Corey,
- 28:00Speaker 2: you have this one right. Maybe you're gonna hate me.
- 28:05Speaker 9: Quit flashing that thing around.
- 28:06Speaker 2: Man Magis is so proud.
- 28:08Speaker 1: He's just.
- 28:10Speaker 2: With his correct answer of the window. Wow, that could
- 28:15Speaker 2: all knock something new in here. We'll give Randy a
- 28:19Speaker 2: few more seconds cultivating.
- 28:20Speaker 9: O sure, just give him all the time for.
- 28:23Speaker 2: This nine letter word that's defined as to cause a
- 28:26Speaker 2: seed to start growing.
- 28:29Speaker 7: He's like a tom's head when it changes colors.
- 28:35Speaker 6: We're beyond red.
- 28:37Speaker 9: We're entering the white color.
- 28:40Speaker 2: To the rank colora. Oh god, Randall, do you give

- 29:04Speaker 2: you guys nice hey, don't show him or he's getting
- 29:08Speaker 2: a little loose with the whiteboard over there, go ahead
- 29:10Speaker 2: and reveal your Oh God, says germinate besides random, The
- 29:17Speaker 2: correct answer is germinate. Germination is the process where a
- 29:22Speaker 2: seed wakes up from dormancy and sprouts into a new plant.
- 29:26Speaker 2: This is triggered by water, oxygen, and temperature. Typically, when
- 29:30Speaker 2: a seed germinates, it begins to swell, then it ruptures,
- 29:34Speaker 2: then a root emerges, then a shoot emerges.
- 29:37Speaker 11: He's pulling out his phone.
- 29:38Speaker 2: What are you looking for?
- 29:41Speaker 3: Am I cultivated?
- 29:43Speaker 6: Propagate?
- 29:44Speaker 3: I understand? Is like I cultivated this?
- 29:47Speaker 10: Okay, if you were to look at it, see if
- 29:51Speaker 10: a seed germinates, are you saying that seed cultivated?
- 29:54Speaker 2: But a synonym is not necessarily an exact matching definition.
- 29:57Speaker 2: It's just like that.
- 29:58Speaker 3: That's exactly what it is.
- 29:59Speaker 11: This like the source, what it is phil something similar?
- 30:03Speaker 3: What are we talking about here?
- 30:05Speaker 8: I would agree with you, but I'm not a scholar.
- 30:07Speaker 2: This is this is If you go to like the
- 30:09Speaker 2: source dot com, it will give you like fifteen you know,
- 30:12Speaker 2: examples of synonyms for Germany.
- 30:16Speaker 8: A word or phrase that means exactly or nearly the
- 30:19Speaker 8: same as another word.
- 30:22Speaker 6: That's not the same nearly.
- 30:25Speaker 13: So when you say Germany, it talks about what it
- 30:29Speaker 13: talks about a seed growing, cultivate to prepare or prepare
- 30:33Speaker 13: for the use of raising of crops, to foster the growth,
- 30:36Speaker 13: of fostering the growth of something isn't the same as
- 30:39Speaker 13: something growing.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Listen, those those are both end this episode.
- 30:42Speaker 8: Now you're going to get destroyed, I think, because you're
- 30:45Speaker 8: going to get destroyed does have a point, Phil has.
- 30:49Speaker 6: But to Germany a seed is to what do you
- 30:53Speaker 6: cultivate a seed?
- 30:54Speaker 9: Propagate?
- 30:55Speaker 1: You?
- 30:56Speaker 6: Definitely you are Germany.
- 31:00Speaker 1: The seed is germinating.
- 31:02Speaker 3: Are you germinating a seed?
- 31:06Speaker 2: What?
- 31:07Speaker 1: What this is?
- 31:08Speaker 3: These are verbs?
- 31:09Speaker 10: What is he doing?
- 31:13Speaker 3: Germinating? The seed does not cultivate any Your seed does
- 31:16Speaker 3: not propagated.
- 31:17Speaker 11: You're doing that yourself.
- 31:18Speaker 6: That's what I'm talking about.
- 31:19Speaker 3: That's what I'm talking about. Baseball's fly when you hit them.
- 31:22Speaker 2: I am I hit the ball.
- 31:24Speaker 3: The ball flies when you cultivate something.
- 31:26Speaker 6: Germany Brown.
- 31:28Speaker 2: Do we respect Merriam Webster in this room? I would
- 31:30Speaker 2: say yes we do. They list both of those as synonyms.
- 31:33Speaker 2: Maria germanyting horseship.
- 31:37Speaker 9: Question careful after this game, as though Spencer, I feel
- 31:41Speaker 9: like he's gonna find you and kick you right now.
- 31:43Speaker 10: Synonyms synonyms for cultivate are promote, nurture, foster.
- 31:47Speaker 2: Nourish German again Mariam Webster well cultivated.
- 31:53Speaker 4: One way street or two because he says they're synonyms
- 31:56Speaker 4: for his word, not necessarily the other way.
- 32:00Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying.
- 32:01Speaker 3: But do you understand what I'm saying here?
- 32:04Speaker 2: Subject the other six players got it right?
- 32:07Speaker 10: If you use the word in the sentence, you can't
- 32:09Speaker 10: have the same subject, then it's not a synonym.
- 32:13Speaker 2: Question seven.
- 32:15Speaker 6: Phil knows I'm correct.
- 32:17Speaker 10: That's why I wrote down gardening because cultivating is more
- 32:22Speaker 10: like gardening than it is Germany. I can garden, I
- 32:24Speaker 10: can cultivate, Webster.
- 32:29Speaker 2: This is insane.
- 32:31Speaker 3: You're insane right now.
- 32:33Speaker 6: I actually think this.
- 32:34Speaker 10: Is the most intellectually bankrupt question and answer you've ever
- 32:37Speaker 10: asked on this show.
- 32:40Speaker 6: That that was just dumb shot fire, this is wild.
- 32:45Speaker 2: I think Randall still has a nice lead going into
- 32:47Speaker 2: question seven.
- 32:52Speaker 6: Do you think.
- 32:54Speaker 10: The lead?
- 32:54Speaker 1: Yes? I do.
- 32:56Speaker 3: There's an alternate definition for Germany.
- 32:59Speaker 2: Uh oh, let's hear it.
- 33:01Speaker 1: No, I still don't.
- 33:04Speaker 2: It turns out he agrees with himself on this one.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Question seven, the topic is conservation.
- 33:09Speaker 10: You know what I'm saying, quit, I was thinking of agriculture.
- 33:14Speaker 10: I was thinking of gardening farming, because cultivating and propagating
- 33:18Speaker 10: are things you do.
- 33:19Speaker 1: Two seeds and walked out.
- 33:23Speaker 3: Let's just keep going.
- 33:24Speaker 2: I mean, what a specific definition to cause a seed
- 33:27Speaker 2: to start growing? Wow? Question seven, the topic is conservation.
- 33:34Speaker 2: This TV secret agent who worked cases saving wolves, golden eagles,
- 33:39Speaker 2: and black rhinos. Resourcefulness and mullet.
- 33:45Speaker 6: No, we're picking up after we write down answers.
- 33:49Speaker 2: This TV seeds see who worked cases saving wolves, golden
- 33:54Speaker 2: eagles and black rhinos, is best known for his resourcefulness
- 33:58Speaker 2: and mullet.
- 33:59Speaker 1: I think, but now that again, I'm kind of questioning.
- 34:03Speaker 2: Brody and Nate both have an answer. What would you
- 34:06Speaker 2: like to discuss on that last one?
- 34:07Speaker 6: Yanny, Well, I need to write down an answer.
- 34:11Speaker 9: I'd like to discuss the definition of a mullet.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Yeah, well, and secret agent?
- 34:21Speaker 2: This TV secret Agent. I don't know if I have
- 34:23Speaker 2: the right any worked cases saving wolves, golden eagles, and
- 34:27Speaker 2: black rhinos. Is best known for his resourcefulness and mullet.
- 34:33Speaker 9: I I don't think he was a secret agent.
- 34:41Speaker 3: A secret agent, I don't care.
- 34:43Speaker 11: The first thing I thought of.
- 34:46Speaker 1: I'm sat first.
- 34:47Speaker 2: I like your answer, Brody, do you have this one right?
- 34:50Speaker 6: The first thing?
- 34:51Speaker 1: Fire throwing off Brody the only.
- 34:53Speaker 2: Player who likes his answer.
- 34:56Speaker 11: I like Nate's answer.
- 34:57Speaker 2: M hm.
- 34:58Speaker 1: Do you see Brodie's answer? I don't want to.
- 35:00Speaker 9: I'm not going to show anyone my answer, all right,
- 35:03Speaker 9: I feel like.
- 35:06Speaker 8: To me, you know what.
- 35:13Speaker 6: He says the definition is? I know, I know the
- 35:17Speaker 6: seed to grow definition.
- 35:22Speaker 9: You are germinating the seed detail make your answer wrong.
- 35:28Speaker 6: I know you are causing the seed.
- 35:32Speaker 9: Erminating key detail unless men are like really.
- 35:37Speaker 1: Question, unless this flavor town things.
- 35:41Speaker 5: But I think you can maybe be applied both ways
- 35:44Speaker 5: if I'm proper all.
- 35:46Speaker 2: Right, you guys are still arguing.
- 35:48Speaker 6: I think that the seed can't cultivate itself. That's what
- 35:51Speaker 6: I'm saying. Germinate itself. That's what I'm saying. But that's
- 35:54Speaker 6: my whole argument.
- 35:55Speaker 5: But I'm saying that you can germinate the seed, and
- 35:57Speaker 5: the seed can germinate itself, and you can also.
- 36:00Speaker 3: I can germinate a seed.
- 36:01Speaker 1: Okay, that's all.
- 36:04Speaker 10: That's all he says in this question to cause My
- 36:08Speaker 10: argument is that we're if we're using his question as
- 36:11Speaker 10: the German.
- 36:14Speaker 9: Got a question like this in a long.
- 36:15Speaker 2: Time, and it was what is six divided by seven?
- 36:20Speaker 2: It was like a ninety percenter for the room.
- 36:23Speaker 10: Yeah, if the question had said here's where I think
- 36:26Speaker 10: the question. If the question has said like this nine
- 36:30Speaker 10: letter word, uh, it's a synonym with.
- 36:33Speaker 3: With sprout or whatever.
- 36:36Speaker 1: You know.
- 36:38Speaker 9: But I've turned over a new leaf. I don't argue
- 36:40Speaker 9: about questions anymore.
- 36:43Speaker 1: Since this.
- 36:45Speaker 2: Again, question seven this TV secret agent who in cases
- 36:49Speaker 2: saving wolves, golden eagles, and black rhinos, is best known
- 36:53Speaker 2: for his resourcefulness and mullet. It's everybody ready, go ahead
- 36:57Speaker 2: and reveal your answers. Nate says a spener, Uh, Laura
- 37:00Speaker 2: without an answer? Randall says mcguiver, Corey Ace Ventura, Yanni mcguiver, Max,
- 37:07Speaker 2: Joe Dirt, Brody mcguiver, The correct answer is mcguy. I
- 37:13Speaker 2: almost wrote down mcgruber, but then I realized that she
- 37:18Speaker 2: was too embarrassed to show the answer.
- 37:20Speaker 3: A pet detective didn't figure right.
- 37:23Speaker 5: And I honestly, he's been so long since seen mcguiver.
- 37:26Speaker 6: I didn't know that he was a special agent.
- 37:31Speaker 2: Did weapon They give Laura that point?
- 37:33Speaker 1: Phil the point, Yeah, Yeah, no doubt.
- 37:36Speaker 2: Mcguiver ran from nineteen eighty five to nineteen ninety two
- 37:40Speaker 2: and got a reboot in twenty sixteen. He is a
- 37:43Speaker 2: secret agent who uses unconventional tools for genius level problem solving.
- 37:48Speaker 2: Mcguiver refuses to carry a gun, instead arming himself with
- 37:51Speaker 2: a Swiss Army knife, duct tape, matches, paper clips, and
- 37:55Speaker 2: chewing gum. At an unspecified point in the series, he
- 37:58Speaker 2: becomes a vegetarian and starts working cases that involve in
- 38:02Speaker 2: dangered species. Here is a trailer for episode nineteen from
- 38:05Speaker 2: season three, where mcgiver reunites with an ex girl from
- 38:09Speaker 2: a guy is a park ranger. They spend the episode
- 38:12Speaker 2: battling grizzly poachers and rekindling their flame. Play it, Phil.
- 38:17Speaker 5: You didn't just expect to fly back into my life
- 38:20Speaker 5: after three years, did you?
- 38:22Speaker 1: We might have been on this trail since we came
- 38:24Speaker 1: through a ranger dragon.
- 38:25Speaker 2: You and I closed the book a long time ago.
- 38:28Speaker 3: I wouldn't have come at all if you told me
- 38:30Speaker 3: about Sam.
- 38:31Speaker 6: Do you mind telling me what you're doing here park Services?
- 38:37Speaker 3: Oh, we're getting out of here together.
- 38:39Speaker 6: You shot the ranger in?
- 38:40Speaker 5: What do you mean around it?
- 38:42Speaker 1: Would you say if I made it a little longer,
- 38:44Speaker 1: I'd say you had your chance once.
- 38:49Speaker 6: At least let me help.
- 38:52Speaker 1: But we're gonna have to get moving.
- 38:55Speaker 5: Cree go on, shoot, you're gonna hang me out and
- 38:58Speaker 5: dry anyway, go in, and.
- 39:01Speaker 13: We finished your boat that time.
- 39:08Speaker 2: I never seen it, No, Brodie, Yannie. Did you boys
- 39:11Speaker 2: watch mcgiver when it was Oh, I'm sure I watched
- 39:13Speaker 2: it a handful of times.
- 39:14Speaker 6: Oh yeah, oh yeah?
- 39:16Speaker 10: Did you love mcgiver yeah, it's darker than I I
- 39:20Speaker 10: don't remember I know that or is that from no?
- 39:24Speaker 2: That was like that was in season three, episode nineteen,
- 39:27Speaker 2: so that must have been like nineteen eighty eight.
- 39:30Speaker 9: I don't remember, right my years Wildlife Saviors four you
- 39:34Speaker 9: were born?
- 39:36Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean his resourcefulness, right, that's what
- 39:39Speaker 5: that's what everybody loves.
- 39:40Speaker 7: Yeah, you could like create a like, oh you're mcgivery
- 39:43Speaker 7: and something. Oh, now you know, I never knew it
- 39:47Speaker 7: was an actual show.
- 39:48Speaker 1: I don't know if you would consider that a mullet.
- 39:51Speaker 2: It's just like a feathery mullet. Yeah, I got a mullet.
- 39:58Speaker 2: That's good.
- 39:58Speaker 3: It seems like it would be add for sneaking around.
- 40:01Speaker 2: What was the spoof of my guy from mcgroober Ruber
- 40:04Speaker 2: that SNL still does?
- 40:06Speaker 9: They still do it.
- 40:07Speaker 2: I think they pulled it. Who's the Who's the one?
- 40:09Speaker 6: He's not the show for a while, but they they
- 40:11Speaker 6: just came.
- 40:12Speaker 8: They did like a surprise what they did on a
- 40:14Speaker 8: few episodes ago with Will four days like a guest star.
- 40:18Speaker 8: It was pretty fun.
- 40:20Speaker 2: Question eight. The topic is woodsmanship. This planet, which is
- 40:24Speaker 2: the fourth brightest planet in our night sky, is seen
- 40:28Speaker 2: in retrograde multiple times each year. Fourth brightest, fourth brightest.
- 40:35Speaker 2: This planet, which is the fourth brightest planet in our sky,
- 40:40Speaker 2: is seen in retrograde multiple times each year.
- 40:45Speaker 9: Wish I knew what that meant.
- 40:47Speaker 2: We can talk about it in the flavor text.
- 40:50Speaker 1: I won't. I'm not thinking any hints.
- 40:55Speaker 2: Nate very quick to answer.
- 40:57Speaker 1: Uh.
- 40:58Speaker 2: The side of the table with Brody, Max, Yanni, and Corey.
- 41:02Speaker 2: He's crossing some stuff out erasing Yanni, do you have
- 41:05Speaker 2: this one right? I don't know. Okay, we'll get a
- 41:11Speaker 2: scoreboard update.
- 41:12Speaker 5: I'm writing down a planet that I feel like I've
- 41:14Speaker 5: seen a few times over the years.
- 41:17Speaker 2: Build the engineer after this. This planet, which is the
- 41:20Speaker 2: fourth brightest planet in our night sky, is seen in
- 41:23Speaker 2: retrograde multiple times each year.
- 41:29Speaker 8: Corey's got a whole solar system on his board.
- 41:34Speaker 2: Max point out he has one nine chance includes the
- 41:36Speaker 2: ninth planet.
- 41:38Speaker 9: No, he doesn't know, because there's not nine planets.
- 41:40Speaker 2: Well, he's not sure which one.
- 41:45Speaker 1: You know.
- 41:47Speaker 3: It ain't the Earth.
- 41:49Speaker 2: This planet, which is the fourth brightest planet in our
- 41:52Speaker 2: night sky, is seen in retrograde multiple times each year.
- 41:57Speaker 5: Unless retrograde is somehow like a mirroring and he is
- 42:02Speaker 5: talking about.
- 42:03Speaker 2: Or could it be, Laura, do you have.
- 42:06Speaker 6: The right question?
- 42:07Speaker 5: Maybe?
- 42:07Speaker 3: Yeah, what's the definition of retrograde?
- 42:10Speaker 1: I don't know. Sorry about the.
- 42:13Speaker 8: Yeah, I think it was one episode ago. Apology.
- 42:17Speaker 2: We could just schedule in a new segment up top.
- 42:20Speaker 2: That's a random apology.
- 42:23Speaker 5: If I was you, Phil, I would already start working
- 42:25Speaker 5: on the new intro for Trivia and kind of rework
- 42:29Speaker 5: what we.
- 42:30Speaker 6: Just saw there into into that that.
- 42:33Speaker 3: That I just thought I was right.
- 42:35Speaker 6: I thought, dude, that seems like a great And you guys.
- 42:39Speaker 3: Were all making fun of my appearance during the question.
- 42:41Speaker 3: Remember that you guys were all making fun of how
- 42:44Speaker 3: my face looks.
- 42:44Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, and he just struck.
- 42:46Speaker 3: A nerve with me.
- 42:47Speaker 11: You know, I'm sorry I made funny Randall.
- 42:49Speaker 3: No, that was actually very funny.
- 42:51Speaker 2: Max.
- 42:52Speaker 3: That's kind of Max.
- 42:53Speaker 2: I'm hoping for it often the whole thing, actually, believe
- 42:56Speaker 2: it or not.
- 42:56Speaker 6: Didn't you have to recently.
- 42:58Speaker 9: Read an apology?
- 43:00Speaker 3: Yeah, that wasn't because of an outburst. That was because
- 43:02Speaker 3: that was in a bad mood.
- 43:05Speaker 9: The different in a.
- 43:06Speaker 6: Great mood today.
- 43:07Speaker 3: Yeah, I was having a perfect game until then.
- 43:17Speaker 2: And reveal your answers, Nate says Mercury. Laura Mercury, Randal, Mercury, Corey, Venus, Yanni, Saturn, Max, Neptune, Brody, Venus.
- 43:28Speaker 2: The correct answer is Mercury.
- 43:30Speaker 1: Let's go.
- 43:32Speaker 2: Mercury is the fourth brightest planet after Venus, Jupiter, and Mars.
- 43:37Speaker 2: You're able to see it with your naked eye around
- 43:39Speaker 2: sunrise and sunset with it hovering close to the horizon.
- 43:42Speaker 2: Retrograde is an optical illusion that makes it appear as
- 43:45Speaker 2: though the planet is moving backwards. This phenomenon happens for
- 43:49Speaker 2: a few weeks about every four months. Despite no scientific evidence,
- 43:53Speaker 2: some believe that mercury and retrograde causes animals to have
- 43:57Speaker 2: a chaotic period where they're extra anxious and territorial. I
- 44:01Speaker 2: feel like you'll hear about pet owners saying that it
- 44:04Speaker 2: must be.
- 44:05Speaker 5: Not like, don't cover retro grade. I meant the druries.
- 44:11Speaker 5: I mean that's got no facts the movement, just as
- 44:15Speaker 5: much as I.
- 44:15Speaker 9: Find that gobblers are much but they got way more.
- 44:18Speaker 3: During I think that's more of an astrology thing.
- 44:21Speaker 8: Yeah, dude, if you have like some astrology people, oh yeah,
- 44:24Speaker 8: their way into that.
- 44:24Speaker 2: They know it.
- 44:25Speaker 10: Yeah, They're like I knew something was happening in my
- 44:27Speaker 10: life and then I realized it was mercury, mercury and
- 44:30Speaker 10: retrog I.
- 44:30Speaker 4: Got this right because like my mom used to say
- 44:33Speaker 4: this to justify like her doing crazy stuff.
- 44:36Speaker 9: Yeah, I wonder if Randall's outburst a time.
- 44:41Speaker 2: While Bill gives us the scoreboard update, we have two
- 44:44Speaker 2: questions left.
- 44:45Speaker 3: Every two weeks or every week.
- 44:47Speaker 8: Sometimes Corey is in the last place with two points,
- 44:52Speaker 8: Laura and Max have four, Nate has five, Joannis and
- 44:56Speaker 8: Birdie have six, and Randall Williams pulled back ahead. He's
- 45:00Speaker 8: in first place with seven points after that last question.
- 45:02Speaker 2: So we have three retrogrades this year February twenty six
- 45:06Speaker 2: to March twentieth, so we just missed that window. The
- 45:10Speaker 2: next one is June twenty ninth to July twenty three,
- 45:13Speaker 2: and then October twenty four to November thirteenth.
- 45:16Speaker 10: Oh my previous My previous outburst was during retrograde. Oh
- 45:20Speaker 10: wow wow, that was March thirteenth, Friday thirteenth.
- 45:24Speaker 9: This one.
- 45:25Speaker 2: But we're gonna have an article on the mediater dot
- 45:27Speaker 2: com this year about how murky and retrograde affects the
- 45:29Speaker 2: white tail run. Here's question nine. The topic is cooking.
- 45:34Speaker 2: This nine letter word is defined as quote the empty
- 45:38Speaker 2: space between the top of the food or liquid and
- 45:41Speaker 2: the underside of the canning lid.
- 45:45Speaker 6: Jeez, don't know this one, Laura.
- 45:50Speaker 2: This nine letter word is defined as the empty space
- 45:54Speaker 2: between the top of the food or liquid and the
- 45:57Speaker 2: underside of the canning lid. Brody very confidently put his
- 46:03Speaker 2: board down.
- 46:03Speaker 9: Oh yeah, so confident.
- 46:05Speaker 2: The one question of the seven players, what are you
- 46:09Speaker 2: drawing their max?
- 46:13Speaker 11: Hopefully it comes up with a nine letter word.
- 46:16Speaker 2: This nine letter word is defined as the empty space
- 46:20Speaker 2: between the top of the food or liquid and the
- 46:23Speaker 2: underside of the canning lid. We'll get another scoreboard update
- 46:29Speaker 2: after this. Find out where we stand going into question ten.
- 46:35Speaker 9: What you got in the can there?
- 46:36Speaker 11: Max, No, it doesn't look.
- 46:42Speaker 2: Like it's chunky.
- 46:45Speaker 11: For that, it's long and stringy.
- 46:47Speaker 2: Maybe doodles sparagus would be good. This nine letter word
- 46:55Speaker 2: is defined as the empty space between the top of
- 46:58Speaker 2: the food or liquid and the under side of the
- 47:01Speaker 2: canning lid.
- 47:01Speaker 3: What a question.
- 47:02Speaker 11: I was going to come up with some scientific name,
- 47:04Speaker 11: and then what a scientific word?
- 47:05Speaker 6: And I know this is this is my cooking bone.
- 47:11Speaker 9: There's a time to be honest. It was a big
- 47:13Speaker 9: canner too. He's making canned deer meat all the time.
- 47:16Speaker 2: Yeah, you should have this.
- 47:19Speaker 6: I don't think I've ever heard a name for this. Ready, m.
- 47:25Speaker 2: Brody's probably said it to you in the kitchen.
- 47:28Speaker 11: I made it to the shelby in deck, so I'm happy.
- 47:30Speaker 2: On Turkey Week, I could be way off Spencer. Anyone
- 47:36Speaker 2: else like that?
- 47:38Speaker 9: No, you've You've drawn it very well there.
- 47:41Speaker 1: I like that.
- 47:42Speaker 2: This nine letter word is defined as the empty space
- 47:45Speaker 2: between the top of the food or liquid and the
- 47:47Speaker 2: underside of the canning lid. Is everybody ready?
- 47:53Speaker 6: You're right?
- 47:54Speaker 2: This is question nine? Nine letter word for question nine? Yanni, huh,
- 48:01Speaker 2: go ahead and reveal your answers. Nate says negatives. Laura
- 48:05Speaker 2: says what's that say? Laura Niscus, Randall says vapor, Corey
- 48:11Speaker 2: says empty air, n He says uncanned. Max drew us can,
- 48:17Speaker 2: and Brody says headspace. Brody got it. The correct answer
- 48:21Speaker 2: is headspace. If you don't leave enough headspace when canning,
- 48:26Speaker 2: you risk liquid seeping through the lid and preventing a
- 48:29Speaker 2: good seal. Some general guidelines are to leave a quarter
- 48:33Speaker 2: inch of headspace for jellies and jams, a half inch
- 48:36Speaker 2: for tomato products. And one inch for meat the.
- 48:40Speaker 1: Relation to gun headspace there should you gotten?
- 48:44Speaker 6: Not really? But had he connected the two somehow?
- 48:49Speaker 3: I did think about head like like like like on
- 48:53Speaker 3: a beer. Yeah, here's a correct.
- 48:54Speaker 2: Answer review so far. I made a joke one with
- 48:57Speaker 2: Sandel Crane to Thompson sent three bluebarb four Green five
- 49:04Speaker 2: Yo Wi is Young of Year six, German eight seven,
- 49:09Speaker 2: Geiver eight, Mercury nine headspace Phil scoreboard update.
- 49:17Speaker 8: It is down to Jannis. He's still in the game
- 49:20Speaker 8: with six points, but Randall and Brony are tied up
- 49:24Speaker 8: in first with seven.
- 49:26Speaker 2: Question ten the topic is fishing. This next right question
- 49:30Speaker 2: is via Kyle Lukes. The Salish Sea consists of the
- 49:35Speaker 2: Strait of Georgia, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and
- 49:39Speaker 2: the blank, blank.
- 49:42Speaker 8: Bean bag.
- 49:44Speaker 2: The Saaless Sea consists of the Strait of Georgia, the
- 49:49Speaker 2: Strait of Wan de Fuca, and the blank blank Randall.
- 49:55Speaker 2: Do you have this one right?
- 49:58Speaker 1: I do?
- 50:00Speaker 2: When Brody has a blank whiteboard.
- 50:04Speaker 11: I'm feeling pretty good about my answer.
- 50:05Speaker 2: Okay, Max is going to beat the Shelby index. You
- 50:09Speaker 2: saw it, Dannie, who's one point behind. We need to
- 50:12Speaker 2: get this right with Brody and Randall to get it
- 50:14Speaker 2: wrong to go to overtime for Randall likes his answer,
- 50:21Speaker 2: screw it up, Randall, How confident.
- 50:26Speaker 1: Or you have this?
- 50:27Speaker 3: Probably ninety seven?
- 50:31Speaker 2: The Sailess Sea consists of the Strait of Georgia, the
- 50:35Speaker 2: Strait of Wande Fuca, and the blank blank.
- 50:39Speaker 11: I don't feel confident anymore.
- 50:41Speaker 3: You're on the wrong continent.
- 50:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I am doing Oh, Brody, still, you're right?
- 50:50Speaker 6: Max?
- 50:55Speaker 1: Oh, I just want this so bad.
- 51:00Speaker 2: Corey, do you have this one right?
- 51:01Speaker 3: It's all I want for Turkey Week. I got a
- 51:04Speaker 3: body of water written down. I don't think I'm eligible
- 51:08Speaker 3: for the Giant Sweepstakes.
- 51:10Speaker 2: No.
- 51:10Speaker 6: I asked Logan Dove and we said you can play,
- 51:14Speaker 6: but you can't win.
- 51:15Speaker 1: I was ready to spend all my money.
- 51:17Speaker 10: On its invests and neck gators.
- 51:22Speaker 2: The Sailess Sea consists of the Straight of Us at
- 51:25Speaker 2: least the straight of one day Fuka and the blank
- 51:30Speaker 2: blank Nate, do you have this one right?
- 51:32Speaker 1: No? I think I'm in the right part of the world,
- 51:35Speaker 1: but may be.
- 51:36Speaker 2: The only one to get this one.
- 51:38Speaker 6: Oh.
- 51:39Speaker 9: No, I really hope I got it. I don't have
- 51:42Speaker 9: an answer.
- 51:44Speaker 1: Do you give up?
- 51:45Speaker 6: Brody?
- 51:46Speaker 2: Go ahead and reveal your answers. Nate says Baltic Sea,
- 51:50Speaker 2: Laura without an answer, Randall says Puget Sound. Corey says
- 51:55Speaker 2: Indian Ocean Yanni without an answer. Max says Nile River
- 51:59Speaker 2: Brody with out an answer. Randall got it. Answer is
- 52:04Speaker 2: the Pugeit Sound. She wins the game.
- 52:07Speaker 1: What a dramatic victory from Georgia.
- 52:09Speaker 2: Eight correct answers.
- 52:13Speaker 9: In front of Puget Sound threw me off. You know,
- 52:16Speaker 9: if I was going to argue about something, that's what
- 52:18Speaker 9: I would argue about. Nobody said that now.
- 52:23Speaker 2: The name Saliss Sea was formally established in two thousand
- 52:26Speaker 2: and nine by the US Board of Geographic Names. It
- 52:30Speaker 2: is a six thousand, five hundred square mile international water
- 52:34Speaker 2: body that stretches from British Columbia to Washington. The Puget
- 52:37Speaker 2: Sound refers to only the southernmost water that is often
- 52:40Speaker 2: associated with Seattle. Phil has a map there to show
- 52:44Speaker 2: you where the Strait of Georgia, straight of Wande Fuca
- 52:47Speaker 2: and Puget Sound all fall.
- 52:49Speaker 9: Where does it say Puget Sound on that map.
- 52:52Speaker 2: Well, it doesn't say the Saless or the Strait of Georgia.
- 52:55Speaker 3: Isn't say the Olympic Peninsula, the Strait.
- 52:58Speaker 2: Of Wande Fuca either all right, Randall eight correct answers
- 53:03Speaker 2: the Turkey Week victory. What are you gonna do with
- 53:06Speaker 2: that five hundred dollars?
- 53:07Speaker 1: Oh?
- 53:09Speaker 10: Man, that's it's tough because I want to give it
- 53:12Speaker 10: to conservation groups that I respect, but I also don't
- 53:15Speaker 10: think anybody would want to be associated with my behavior
- 53:17Speaker 10: from this episode. So let's donate this to the National
- 53:23Speaker 10: Fish Habitat Partnership.
- 53:25Speaker 2: Oh, that's a new one. Okay. Are they gonna Are
- 53:28Speaker 2: they gonna put a stamp of approval?
- 53:30Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 53:31Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 53:31Speaker 3: We'll have to reach out to our friends there.
- 53:33Speaker 2: What do you like about them?
- 53:35Speaker 10: They just do a lot of habitat work all across
- 53:38Speaker 10: the country. It's it's like an umbrella organization that that
- 53:42Speaker 10: fosters partnerships for improving and restoring fish habitat.
- 53:46Speaker 2: Okay, they probably save a lot of wyle live fish.
- 53:49Speaker 2: Give you guys in the future, join us next week.
- 53:53Speaker 5: They random Thank you.
- 54:00Speaker 1: Spencer, suck it Duke.
- 54:05Speaker 14: Yes, Spencer from South Dakota. He's the host, using those smooth,
- 54:09Speaker 14: mellow tones. He lays THEMN questions down and he likes
- 54:18Speaker 14: taking those two and three year old bucks, and he's
- 54:23Speaker 14: an avid amateur
- 54:26Speaker 9: Lock
