- 0:00Speaker 1: We're having Cincinnati's offense coming off a strong performance.
- 0:02Speaker 2: What do you guys need to do to slow them down?
- 0:04Speaker 1: Uh, I would say just continue, uh, doing the stuff
- 0:07Speaker 1: we've been doing, you know, running to the ball, tackling,
- 0:09Speaker 1: you know, uh, playing together as a team, you know,
- 0:11Speaker 1: stand together and just, just take it one game at
- 0:14Speaker 1: a time.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Take us back to that play, the Jackson mini strip sack.
- 0:18Speaker 2: And just what was that moment like for you and
- 0:21Speaker 2: the defense?
- 0:22Speaker 1: Oh, that, that, that felt crazy. I mean, I never
- 0:25Speaker 1: felt the stadium rock like that since I've been here.
- 0:27Speaker 1: So that was just a surreal moment. Uh, it was,
- 0:30Speaker 1: I don't know, it just happened so fast. All I
- 0:33Speaker 1: seen was everybody celebrating, I get to running out the post,
- 0:36Speaker 1: and it was like, it was a huge momentum shift
- 0:39Speaker 1: for us in that game, and, you know, we needed
- 0:41Speaker 1: that bad, and Jackson Binney made it play. The last
- 0:45Speaker 1: fourth down stop in the red zone, what was your reaction? Shoot,
- 0:49Speaker 1: I already had faith in my guys that, you know,
- 0:51Speaker 1: that we was going to go out there, you know,
- 0:52Speaker 1: strap up every time. It was a zero blitz, and,
- 0:56Speaker 1: you know, we know we got to play good man coverage,
- 0:58Speaker 1: and I got faith in school. So it was, it
- 1:01Speaker 1: was exciting, you know, get off the field, have the
- 1:04Speaker 1: offense take the, get in victory formation. So that just
- 1:07Speaker 1: felt good.
- 1:07Speaker 2: In terms of like your development this season, what are
- 1:11Speaker 2: you seeing and recognizing faster than you were earlier this year?
- 1:16Speaker 1: I would say just, just the, you know, recognizing the
- 1:21Speaker 1: plays that's coming, you know, just being able to play fast,
- 1:24Speaker 1: play free, you know, our coach has given us the
- 1:27Speaker 1: luxury to do that. So, you know, Just continuing to
- 1:30Speaker 1: play fast, play confident, really.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Morgan credited you with a touchdown-saving tackle earlier in that game.
- 1:36Speaker 3: What was going through your mind when you saw that
- 1:39Speaker 3: Houston wide receiver just kind of streaking down the field?
- 1:42Speaker 1: Honestly, I was just like, just go get him. Honestly,
- 1:45Speaker 1: when I came down and I took my angle, I
- 1:48Speaker 1: really wasn't looking at the receiver. I just put my
- 1:51Speaker 1: head down and just started running until I felt like
- 1:53Speaker 1: I got close. to get them. But that was a
- 1:56Speaker 1: huge play in that game because we ultimately stopped them
- 1:59Speaker 1: in the red zone. So it's just that relentless effort
- 2:03Speaker 1: that we play with, it continues to show up. And
- 2:05Speaker 1: we just got to just keep playing, just keep doing that.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Is there a difference for you when you're facing a
- 2:12Speaker 2: team like Houston that likes to throw the ball maybe
- 2:14Speaker 2: a little bit more than they like to run it,
- 2:16Speaker 2: compared to Cincinnati, who seem to like to run the
- 2:19Speaker 2: ball and establish the run to open up the pass?
- 2:21Speaker 1: Does that change anything for you in how you operate?
- 2:25Speaker 1: Not necessarily. I kind of go into every game with the,
- 2:29Speaker 1: I want to say, same mindset. Play fast, play free,
- 2:33Speaker 1: play smart, honestly. So just being able to recognize that
- 2:38Speaker 1: they do run the ball more, but just being able
- 2:41Speaker 1: to just play free and fast. That's always kind of
- 2:42Speaker 1: how I go into a game, honestly.
- 2:44Speaker 4: Playing back-to-back close games and getting victories in those games,
- 2:49Speaker 4: how much confidence do you guys have knowing that you
- 2:51Speaker 4: play another close game like you might against Cincinnati that
- 2:53Speaker 4: you guys can come out on top?
- 2:55Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, it gives us a lot of confidence that
- 2:57Speaker 1: we can, you know, fight through those adversities that come,
- 3:00Speaker 1: you know, because we was down, and I think both
- 3:02Speaker 1: of those games we were down. So, you know, just
- 3:05Speaker 1: being able to just, you know, come together as a team,
- 3:08Speaker 1: you know, it gives us a lot of confidence for sure.
- 3:11Speaker 3: What was your perspective in the locker room at halftime?
- 3:13Speaker 3: You know, we've heard that Lance and other guys were
- 3:16Speaker 3: really vocal about telling the offense that you guys had them.
- 3:19Speaker 3: What was your perspective on that?
- 3:20Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, kind of the same, you know, like telling
- 3:22Speaker 1: the offense, like, we got your back, like, We got
- 3:24Speaker 1: y'all back, y'all have our back. And that's kind of
- 3:26Speaker 1: what we did in the second half. I had no
- 3:30Speaker 1: doubt in my mind that we was going to come
- 3:31Speaker 1: out there and execute and feed off each other, feed
- 3:35Speaker 1: off the energy that the fans was giving us and
- 3:36Speaker 1: stuff like that. So it's kind of the same mindset.
