- 0:01Right, But I think my son is just going through a phase.
- 0:05I have no idea where he would have gotten a hold of German
- 0:08pornography. But you and I are mature adults.
- 0:12We've both seen our share of pornographic materials.
- 0:16Oh, you never have. Of course you have.
- 0:18And how stupid of me, neither have I.
- 0:20I was just speaking in generalities.
- 0:22Right. I'll stop by the school a little
- 0:24later, Sister Margaret. Bye.
- 0:26This is plausibly live. I think that I have been clear
- 0:30through the years that the idea of impeachment is very
- 0:37problematic and it is fraught with considerations that I don't
- 0:45think most of us take into account in this business, the
- 0:51conservative chat business. Many of my compatriots in this
- 0:55business are, and have been pounding the drum for some time
- 0:59that we must impeach Joe Biden. We must do it.
- 1:03We must do it right now. And of course, there are
- 1:08arguments for that. There are arguments against it.
- 1:12Arguments for it are. Again, there is pretty clear
- 1:19evidence of some type of criminal.
- 1:22Corruption here, some type of high crimes and misdemeanors.
- 1:25Whether you want to accept that or not is irrelevant to me.
- 1:29If if what Andrew Johnson did was impeachable, then what Biden
- 1:34did is impeachable. The arguments for it are of
- 1:38course, generally couched in morality.
- 1:40We have to do this because we have to have the rule of law,
- 1:43and that was the argument with Trump.
- 1:45No one is above the law, but at the same time.
- 1:50The arguments against it are pretty straightforward as well.
- 1:54You don't have the votes. You're not going to get a
- 1:57conviction in an impeachment trial.
- 2:00You're just not going to get it. Unless you have video of Joe
- 2:05Biden punting Ukrainian puppies off the Kerch Bridge and you
- 2:10don't. You're not going to get a
- 2:12conviction. Ever.
- 2:15So is it just a waste of money? Is it a waste of time?
- 2:19Is it a morality play? What is it?
- 2:23Which is why everyone was a a a GOG yesterday.
- 2:27And this morning, although there are UFO hearings going on in the
- 2:32on the on the Hill again today just means there's something
- 2:35else going on that they don't want us to know about.
- 2:38But yesterday, Kevin McCarthy announced that he was going to,
- 2:42or that it was time to. Commence A Biden impeachment
- 2:47inquiry. That is not an impeachment.
- 2:50But he said that it's time to start looking into what's going
- 2:54on, which I kind of thought they were already doing.
- 2:59But you know, what do I know? I'm not a congressman.
- 3:03With the the issues that are going on there.
- 3:09This, of course, set off a flurry of discussion.
- 3:12Both in the press and in the talk radio world, with McCarthy
- 3:17floating this idea of an inquiry, inquiry, not an actual
- 3:22impeachment. And of course the theory here is
- 3:25that this will somehow or another placate those in the in
- 3:31the conservative right who have been calling for this.
- 3:35But it was also pointed out that this is not without risk.
- 3:40That there are potential problems here, that there are
- 3:45dangers involved with this idea. And of course, this is the
- 3:51monkey in the wrench, isn't it? It's the it's the argument about
- 3:56whether or not this should proceed or not.
- 3:59Impeachment is not unique to America.
- 4:05You need to understand that, and even in 1787.
- 4:08We borrowed it from the British system, which Hamilton had said
- 4:12at the convention is the best system, and we would do well to
- 4:15emulate it. Of course that didn't go over
- 4:17well, But when it came to this presidency thing, and we could
- 4:21spend a lot of time on the debates and discussions over how
- 4:25to elect a presidency, that's really the two debates.
- 4:29How do we elect it? And what do we do when the guy
- 4:32turns out not to be George Washington, as 46 of them have
- 4:37done? What do we do when we got
- 4:40somebody we got to get rid of because this person is is bad?
- 4:45The convention had actually settled on these words.
- 4:47Are you ready? Malpractice and neglect of duty.
- 4:52Those were the two reasons to impeach a president.
- 4:57When they went on their little vacation and they came back, the
- 5:00Committee on Detail had massaged that a bit.
- 5:05And they came up with these four reasons for impeachment,
- 5:08treason, bribery, high crimes, and misdemeanors.
- 5:14What they did not do was define really what at least two of
- 5:20those mean. Treason and bribery are pretty
- 5:23obvious, but what is a high crime?
- 5:26What is a misdemeanor? And much like in theology,
- 5:30everybody knows what it is, except that you can't tell me
- 5:33what it is. Because it's different to every
- 5:36person. It's like pornography.
- 5:38Nobody can define it, but we all know it when we see it, right?
- 5:44What's porn to you? Might not be to me.
- 5:47What's a high crime to me? To me, might not be to you.
- 5:50The other alternative for getting rid of a president, by
- 5:52the way, Ben Franklin pointed out quite cogently, was look, we
- 5:56can either impeach him or we can assassinate him.
- 5:59There's problems with assassination, obviously, that
- 6:01causes, you know. That comes with other problems,
- 6:05and we don't really want to do that.
- 6:06So we need this legal system, this constitutional system for
- 6:12removing the president. They never really got back to
- 6:15this debate over why malpractice and neglect of duty might
- 6:21ultimately have made more sense, but the Committee on Detail
- 6:24changed it. Treason, bribery, high climbs
- 6:26and misdemeanors. It's not an assassination, but
- 6:31impeachment is a political act. And we've seen through our
- 6:36history the use of this political act now multiple times
- 6:41in 1868. I'm sorry, it's the wrong slide.
- 6:44In 1868, Andrew Johnson had become president upon the death
- 6:48of Abraham Lincoln, was impeached by the House of
- 6:52Representatives in February of 1868.
- 6:55In March and in March through May, they held the trial and
- 6:58ultimately Johnson was acquitted by one vote.
- 7:03That's important to know, but what you need to understand is
- 7:04why he was impeached. Now go back to those reasons.
- 7:07Treason, bribery, high crimes and misdemeanors.
- 7:10What were the actual charges that the House made against
- 7:14Andrew Johnson? Anybody know Bueller?
- 7:19Bueller article? He was accused of violating the
- 7:23Tenure of Office Act, which required by law of the Senate's
- 7:28approval for the removal of certain office holders which
- 7:31hitherto. And subsequently we've, you
- 7:35know, they serve at the at the pleasure of the president
- 7:39specifically was Edward Stanton. That was the first article.
- 7:43The second article was also accusing him of violating the
- 7:46Tenure of Office Act. The third article of accused him
- 7:50of violating the Tenure of Office Act.
- 7:52And Article 4 accused Johnson of issuing certain quote bitter and
- 7:58inflammatory speeches against Congress.
- 8:01Which were intended to defeat the lawful measures of Congress,
- 8:06UN quote. And in the last article he was
- 8:10accused of, quote, bringing disgrace and ridicule to the
- 8:13office of the presidency and to the United States government by
- 8:17his aforementioned actions. That's what he was accused of.
- 8:19That's what he was put on impeachment trial for now again,
- 8:22treason, bribery, high crimes and misdemeanors.
- 8:26The second time impeachment became an issue in our country
- 8:29was, of course, under Richard Nixon now.
- 8:31Richard Nixon was not impeached. Richard Nixon, I think one of
- 8:38the things he does not get credit for is that he recognized
- 8:43that he had violated his oath of office and he had failed in his
- 8:47mission and rather than put the country through an impeachment
- 8:50hearing, he resigned. Now maybe you could argue that
- 8:54he was going to be impeached and he knew that and maybe there was
- 8:58a deal with him and Ford. Who knows?
- 9:00But the point is he was never actually impeached.
- 9:03The articles impeachment were passed, but they were not voted
- 9:07on by the entire House. He was accused of obstruction of
- 9:11justice, abuse of power and contempt of Congress.
- 9:15Now again, treason, bribery, high crimes and misdemeanors.
- 9:20Do those fit well to that Congress in that era?
- 9:23They did. Bill Clinton.
- 9:26Many of us will remember this was impeached.
- 9:30He was impeached for perjury and obstruction of justice.
- 9:34Those were the two things that he was accused of.
- 9:38Again, they were not the votes in the Senate.
- 9:40And there was much argument at the time about why are you doing
- 9:43this? You do not have the votes,
- 9:46you're not going to succeed. But the argument was very
- 9:51moralistically put. We have to do this because no
- 9:54one is above the law, which, of course, was the argument about
- 9:56Donald Trump. Made by the same people who
- 10:02didn't like that argument before that he was no, not above the
- 10:07law, and he was put on trial the first time for quote, abuse of
- 10:11power, specifically with regards to Ukraine and foreign policy,
- 10:16and secondly for obstruction of justice.
- 10:18And then the second time he was put on a trial for impeachment,
- 10:21it was only for the incitement of the insurrection.
- 10:27And that leads to. The real question, doesn't it,
- 10:31because now you're now you're you're wondering where are we at
- 10:39on all of this where what is the, the actual, I don't know
- 10:46deal with with the with the president.
- 10:50Is there an actual deal? Is there something that we
- 10:53should actually be wondering about here?
- 10:56Is there something that is? I don't know.
- 10:59Perhaps impeachable do. Do his crimes rise to high
- 11:06crimes and misdemeanors? Do his crimes rise to the ideas
- 11:10that perhaps we should be talking about at this point?
- 11:17Where are we at here? Is the real question in all of
- 11:21this. Where are we at today that's
- 11:24causing Kevin McCarthy? To look at Joe Biden and say
- 11:33these things rise to the level of misdemeanors or high crimes,
- 11:38and if they do, what are we going to do?
- 11:44Now we go back to, again, the arguments are pretty
- 11:47straightforward and we've had these discussions before.
- 11:51There are no the vote. There are no votes in the Senate
- 11:54to impeach Joe Biden. Again, unless you have video of
- 11:58him punting Ukrainian puppies off the Kerch Bridge in Crimea
- 12:04and you don't, there are no votes.
- 12:07There's there's not going to be a conviction in an impeachment
- 12:10trial. But impeachment is a political
- 12:14act, not a criminal act. Do you understand that this is
- 12:19about politics, not crimes? It uses crimes.
- 12:24It uses language that makes you think that it's about criminal
- 12:27activity, but it's really not. Andrew Johnson was impeached
- 12:32because Edward Stanton was pissed off and didn't like
- 12:37losing his job. You could argue about the Trump
- 12:43impeachment. You could argue about the
- 12:44Clinton impeachments. Was it about sex?
- 12:46Was it not about sex? Does it matter?
- 12:49It was a political calculation. Not a criminal calculation to
- 12:54try and change the political equation to the advantage of the
- 12:59folks who were trying the impeachment.
- 13:01That's all it is. When you go back to the Trump
- 13:05impeachment, there were never the votes to to succeed.
- 13:12But now that you look at it through the lens of time, do you
- 13:15understand that? They never.
- 13:18They knew that from the beginning.
- 13:19They knew that they were not going to impeach him either
- 13:21time. And that wasn't the goal.
- 13:25The goal was never to impeach President Trump.
- 13:28It would have been nice if they had.
- 13:30The real goal was to tie Republican candidates to Trump
- 13:34so that they could ask on the campaign trail, do you support
- 13:37President Trump or not? And if they did, then they could
- 13:41say see Trumper and if he didn't they could say, well, he's lying
- 13:47or. They assumed that he would lose
- 13:50that candidate. He or she would lose ground with
- 13:53the base. To a degree, it seems to have
- 13:56worked. President Biden lost in 2020 and
- 13:59we're not going to rehash that now.
- 14:01But the the congressional elections clearly went against
- 14:04the Republicans. Could the GOP be thinking in the
- 14:11same terms when it comes to the Democrats in 2024?
- 14:16You have so much evidence against Biden, supposedly, that
- 14:21you impeach him. He's found not guilty, but you
- 14:24begin to tie Democrat candidates to that.
- 14:28Do you support Joe Biden and his criminal family, his son, his
- 14:33dealings with Ukraine, his corruption?
- 14:35Do you support that or not? Democrat candidate?
- 14:39But I don't think that'll work this time.
- 14:41I think that by the time this whole thing washes out.
- 14:45It's going to be, and this is my opinion, take it for what it's
- 14:47worth. I think it's going to be so
- 14:49obvious that Biden is corrupt, cognitively lacking and
- 14:59problematic that you're not going to be able to pin
- 15:03Democratic candidates to him because they're going to reject
- 15:05him too, even though he's going to be acquitted.
- 15:09There's going to be enough people out there.
- 15:11They're going to be start to be. Opeds that will talk about how
- 15:15this guy's just too problematic. He's got too many issues, he's
- 15:17too issues. He's got too many, you know,
- 15:22problems for us to to continue to do this.
- 15:26And we've got to go a different direction, which is, in my view,
- 15:33the porno element to all this, the impeachment porn element to
- 15:36all this. Now I am told I do not know
- 15:39this, but I am told because I do.
- 15:42Visit theCHIVE website and they make a lot of jokes about this
- 15:47kind of. I'm told that step porn, you
- 15:50know what I'm talking about. No, of course you don't, but so
- 15:53I'll explain it to you. Stepmothers, step brothers, step
- 15:56sisters, step porn is the end thing right now.
- 16:00I don't know that for a fact, but it didn't take very long to
- 16:03find that there are a lot of freaking movies about this out
- 16:07there. And the idea here is that
- 16:11someone is trying to trick someone else into doing
- 16:14something that they want them to do sex by appealing to their
- 16:20period interest. Okay you with me here.
- 16:24I'm not trying to titillate you here, but I am trying to tell
- 16:28you something, which is what I want you to take from all of
- 16:31this step Porn is is the king of the porn Kingdom right now.
- 16:35Again, I don't have any direct knowledge of that, but.
- 16:38People who do have told me that this is the case, here is the
- 16:42question that I'm asking myself right now.
- 16:48What if Democrat Party steps stepmother step, brother,
- 16:54stepfather, step, whatever, are what's really behind Kevin
- 16:58McCarthy's inquiry into a into a impeachment?
- 17:07In what way? Let me ask it to the perhaps a
- 17:10different way. In what way does an impeachment
- 17:12of Joe Biden hurt the Democrats at all?
- 17:15Can anybody give me an answer? I know what you're going to say.
- 17:17Well, it shows that they're corrupt and all that, but yeah,
- 17:19but they're going to, they're not going to convict them, but
- 17:25they're going to join with you. They know that there will be no
- 17:28conviction. They know that.
- 17:32What with what? That with what will come out in
- 17:35an impeachment trial. They can join in the moral
- 17:39outrage and even if they do impeach him, So what?
- 17:42They know that Kamala can be controlled.
- 17:45But if they don't convict him, So what?
- 17:49Either there there's no way to to to really hurt him.
- 17:55But they know that that removes both Biden and Harris from 2024.
- 18:00There's no way that they can run again because again, the
- 18:03candidates will be hit with Do you support Joe Biden and his
- 18:06corrupt family or not? And with all the background of
- 18:09Kamala, Can you imagine how that starts to come out?
- 18:15Then how did you get to be, you know, attorney general of the
- 18:19state of California? How did you get to be this?
- 18:21How? Do you really want all that porn
- 18:25flick stuff to come out? The Democrats don't.
- 18:29But here's a way to get rid of their two problematic people,
- 18:32Biden and Harris, without looking like they're trying to
- 18:34get rid of them. And they can still poke at the
- 18:37Republicans. So you're you're making stuff
- 18:39up. They they can't lose.
- 18:41It's win, win, win. They get to yell at Republicans,
- 18:45They get Biden and Harris out of the way, and they open up their
- 18:50field for 2024 for Gavin Newsom or whoever.
- 18:54It's like a porno flick, folks. It really is.
- 18:56And yes, I have seen pornos. I was on the boat.
- 19:00It's designed to titillate and entertain you.
- 19:06And here we are talking about it.
- 19:07Here we are talking about this and not about Ufo's like
- 19:11Congress is doing it today. And it's just impeachment
- 19:15pornography. That's all it is.
- 19:17Nobody can define it. We can't tell you what it is.
- 19:20There's no absolute definition. Treason, bribery, high crimes,
- 19:24misdemeanors. But we know it when we see it,
- 19:29right? The bigger questions are #1 Do
- 19:34we even care? Does anybody actually care about
- 19:39all of this? I'm not sure anybody does, to be
- 19:44honest with you. But the bigger question that I
- 19:46have, particularly for Speaker McCarthy, is why?
- 19:53You're already morally outraged. You already know you don't have
- 19:56the votes. You already know that the
- 19:58argument about morality and no one is above the law doesn't
- 20:02work because Trump, Clinton, Nixon, Johnson, you you know
- 20:09that argument doesn't work. What if the GOP?
- 20:15By by doing this, by even entertaining, the idea is simply
- 20:21playing into the hands of the more progressive wing of the
- 20:25Democrat part. Now, theoretically they could
- 20:30use it against it. Do you support Biden?
- 20:33But those people are going to say, no, we don't support that
- 20:36corruption. We don't believe in that kind of
- 20:37thing. That's why we are here now.
- 20:39That's why we have removed them from our candidacy.
- 20:44And then what are you gonna do? Go back and watch more
- 20:48impeachment porn.
