- 2:26Speaker 4: see you.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, yeah, it good to be seen, so they say, so,
- 2:31Speaker 2: they say, did you notice that we got a big
- 2:33Speaker 2: while walking through? Look look at this clock we have
- 2:36Speaker 2: here that I.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Mean, I guess that's for my benefits to that.
- 2:39Speaker 2: It is because you're wait for it, wait for it, wait,
- 2:43Speaker 2: give it big time.
- 2:45Speaker 4: Oh thank you. So I love that.
- 2:47Speaker 2: I'm stealing that.
- 2:48Speaker 4: That's mine. Thank you very much.
- 2:50Speaker 2: You see what I did there? But yeah, check that out.
- 2:52Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know. I don't know, Ryan, I
- 2:54Speaker 2: don't know what we did to new clock. But see
- 2:57Speaker 2: the size of this clock.
- 2:58Speaker 4: Who needs to know? The humidity?
- 3:00Speaker 2: Well, you know it's not Oh that's a hot air monitor,
- 3:03Speaker 2: is what it is. And it's going to go. It's, it's,
- 3:05Speaker 2: it's and it's climbing. As I set behind the microphone,
- 3:08Speaker 2: it just keeps climbing and climbing till eventually, you know,
- 3:10Speaker 2: the sprinkling.
- 3:11Speaker 4: So that was for the benefit of my hair, Yeah,
- 3:13Speaker 4: because I have natural curls.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Same.
- 3:16Speaker 4: Yes, yes, I've noticed. All right, So I have much
- 3:19Speaker 4: much to tell you about, and I'm.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Here to listen.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Oh wonderful, I hope everyone else is.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Oh they are, they are, and so our.
- 3:26Speaker 4: Wonderful Mediterranean mindset. We have changed locations, okay, and we
- 3:31Speaker 4: are no longer at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. We are, however,
- 3:36Speaker 4: at a lovely new location, and that is the American
- 3:40Speaker 4: Job Center. It's on Leon Sullivan Way, okay, and it's
- 3:44Speaker 4: I believe four twenty six Leon Sullivan Way. It's kind
- 3:47Speaker 4: of looks like an auspicious building. It's got columns, but
- 3:50Speaker 4: the parking is wonderful, the location is wonderful. And we
- 3:54Speaker 4: have a morning meeting on Thursday at nine thirty, an
- 4:00Speaker 4: evening meeting at five point thirty. And Mediterranean is the
- 4:04Speaker 4: way to go. And don't take my word for it,
- 4:06Speaker 4: although I'm pretty credible However, I'm credible because I've lived
- 4:11Speaker 4: it now for over eight years and I'm the former
- 4:14Speaker 4: weightwatcher person and I've learned so much about eating and
- 4:19Speaker 4: good health on Mediterranean. However, my point in saying this
- 4:25Speaker 4: is I want other people to discover that eating this
- 4:29Speaker 4: way is probably the best way you can eat, and
- 4:33Speaker 4: it's better than anything you've ever done. And there is
- 4:36Speaker 4: so much to talk about when you consider the new
- 4:41Speaker 4: food pyramid. I believe our Health and Human Services flipped
- 4:47Speaker 4: it upside down and at old ways that is responsible
- 4:53Speaker 4: for the Mediterranean education. We are not going to turn
- 4:58Speaker 4: it upside down. We're going to keep doing what we've
- 5:01Speaker 4: done because it's a proven vehicle.
- 5:02Speaker 2: And what is that What are the differences between what
- 5:05Speaker 2: RFK Junior has recommended, you know with the pyramid.
- 5:09Speaker 4: Kay has recommended using beef tallow, lots of beef, and
- 5:14Speaker 4: the current pyramid is lots of fruits and vegetables and
- 5:18Speaker 4: having fish or seafood twice a week. And yes we
- 5:22Speaker 4: can have beef, and yes, chicken, turkey and everything that
- 5:26Speaker 4: you truly love. But going back to beef tallow and
- 5:31Speaker 4: increasing beef just because it's going to benefit the home
- 5:36Speaker 4: school program isn't enough for all of us who need
- 5:39Speaker 4: to re educate our O.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Why does it benefit the homeschool program?
- 5:44Speaker 4: Well, but that was in the news release that by
- 5:47Speaker 4: changing the food pyramid, it's going to make the foods
- 5:52Speaker 4: that are made available in the school system contain more
- 5:58Speaker 4: beef and beef byproduct. Okay, so that's where we are
- 6:02Speaker 4: questioning that, But we're going to stick to what we've done.
- 6:06Speaker 2: You do you as they say, exactly.
- 6:07Speaker 4: And our pyramid has helped so many thousands upon thousands,
- 6:12Speaker 4: not just lose weight. And I don't know that Mediterranean
- 6:15Speaker 4: is just for weight loss. It's for healthy eating, healthy living,
- 6:19Speaker 4: and people with various maladies are recommended by their physicians
- 6:26Speaker 4: to please embrace the Mediterranean way of life because again,
- 6:31Speaker 4: it's not a diet. And I don't want people to
- 6:34Speaker 4: think that, you know, just because I move from one
- 6:36Speaker 4: concept to another, that it's a diet. First of all,
- 6:39Speaker 4: I don't even like the word diet. But nonetheless it's
- 6:42Speaker 4: called the Mediterranean diet, although we call it the Mediterranean lifestyle,
- 6:48Speaker 4: and it is unbelievably beautiful. And we also use group support,
- 6:53Speaker 4: and group support is one of those very important pieces
- 6:57Speaker 4: that helps you feel like you're doing the right thing.
- 7:00Speaker 2: And that's something that your past organization was also big
- 7:03Speaker 2: on too. Right support support. Yeah, and group support can
- 7:07Speaker 2: be very good no matter what you're trying to do,
- 7:09Speaker 2: where there.
- 7:09Speaker 4: Is so many different things where group support makes all
- 7:12Speaker 4: the different exercise.
- 7:14Speaker 2: You know, you're trying to say.
- 7:14Speaker 4: Why do we go to the gym, You're not the
- 7:16Speaker 4: only person in the gym. Well, there are people who
- 7:20Speaker 4: are trying to overcome some other problems. They go to AA,
- 7:25Speaker 4: they go to drug groups because they need to be
- 7:28Speaker 4: with other people. We are learning how to eat and
- 7:32Speaker 4: in many cases for the first time in our life.
- 7:35Speaker 4: And what we are doing on Mediterranean is we're not
- 7:38Speaker 4: eating processed foods that contain a bazillion different ingredients and
- 7:43Speaker 4: eating fresh, clean food. And that's the way of life
- 7:46Speaker 4: in the Mediterranean, in that part of them.
- 7:48Speaker 2: That's why they live so long. Yes, and plus here's
- 7:50Speaker 2: the thing about it, and healthfully the food is good.
- 7:54Speaker 2: I mean, everybody likes different things. I completely understand that.
- 7:57Speaker 2: But when Ryan and I were talking about that during
- 7:59Speaker 2: the Bork, I said, when you start talking about the
- 8:01Speaker 2: foods that are a big part of the Mediterranean diet,
- 8:04Speaker 2: I'm in I mean, I'm in on all those. Give
- 8:07Speaker 2: us some of the core groups four or five, six,
- 8:10Speaker 2: maybe some of four or five foods that are big
- 8:12Speaker 2: into Mediterranean, not even Mediterranean living. I know you don't
- 8:16Speaker 2: like diet Mediterranean living.
- 8:17Speaker 4: Oh my goodness. Well, let me give you an example.
- 8:20Speaker 4: This morning, I had a bowl of sugar free cereal,
- 8:25Speaker 4: because sugar is not big in Mediterranean, but really, sugar
- 8:28Speaker 4: shouldn't be big for anybody because it just causes many,
- 8:32Speaker 4: many health problems. But I had a big bowl of cereal.
- 8:36Speaker 4: I had an orange, I had half an apple. I
- 8:38Speaker 4: had a glass of milk. And that's just what I
- 8:42Speaker 4: had for breakfast. For lunch, I'll probably have a couple
- 8:45Speaker 4: of hard boiled eggs with tomatoes and cucumbers, and then
- 8:49Speaker 4: I'm gonna I'll go out for dinner tonight, getting salmon
- 8:53Speaker 4: and all the nice things that go with it. Homus
- 8:56Speaker 4: is one of my favorite things. Although years ago, when
- 8:59Speaker 4: I switched from Weight Watchers to Mediterranean, a woman stopped
- 9:03Speaker 4: me at Kroger's and she said, Millie, I can't come
- 9:05Speaker 4: to your group. I said why. She said, because I
- 9:08Speaker 4: don't like humus, which would only suggest that that's the
- 9:11Speaker 4: only food now it's one of the bazillion foods that
- 9:14Speaker 4: we make available, but we eat so well. I can
- 9:18Speaker 4: have a steak, I can have a baked potato. And
- 9:20Speaker 4: by the way, potatoes are not a carbohydrate, they're a vegetable.
- 9:27Speaker 4: But for years, probably read because for years we blamed
- 9:32Speaker 4: the potato. But what we never failed, what we never
- 9:36Speaker 4: failed was to point out that the potato was fattening.
- 9:39Speaker 4: But we didn't mention that we put bacon, cheese, sour cream, butter,
- 9:45Speaker 4: and what else goes on it, everything that you could pile.
- 9:49Speaker 2: A lot of people put broccoli on a potato, but
- 9:51Speaker 2: they do it after they've done the cheese and the
- 9:53Speaker 2: bacon and room for the break loaded potatoes.
- 9:58Speaker 4: Yes, but for years we blamed the potato, and the
- 10:01Speaker 4: potato was never at fault. So we want you to
- 10:05Speaker 4: consider it a vegetable. And people, when I mentioned that
- 10:08Speaker 4: to various people, they give me the side eye. You
- 10:12Speaker 4: know what, the side ee? Yeah, this woman is crazy. Yeah,
- 10:15Speaker 4: until you find out that you can eat a potato
- 10:17Speaker 4: several times during the week and enjoy it thoroughly, and
- 10:21Speaker 4: you didn't have a carbohydrate, you didn't have a bread,
- 10:24Speaker 4: you didn't do anything wrong and It's wonderful to learn
- 10:27Speaker 4: new things, all right.

- 10:42Speaker 2: dot net helping you understand your environment because what you
- 10:45Speaker 2: don't know can hurt you. We had a couple of
- 10:47Speaker 2: texts here for you, but one says you can have
- 10:50Speaker 2: plenty of wine on the Mediterranean diet.
- 10:52Speaker 4: But I don't know about plenty. I think of using
- 10:56Speaker 4: the current pyramid. A man can have two glasses of
- 11:00Speaker 4: a woman can have one. But there is some new
- 11:02Speaker 4: information about alcohol in general, so we're going to stick
- 11:07Speaker 4: with what we know until we get further guidance. But
- 11:11Speaker 4: plenty is to be interpreted.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Well, and plenty of anything you know is I mean,
- 11:18Speaker 2: it's all about moderation on anything. Even that you mentioned
- 11:21Speaker 2: just you know you don't want to, but.
- 11:22Speaker 4: We're talking about a six sounds glass for a woman,
- 11:25Speaker 4: and two six sounds is a twelve for a guy. Okay,
- 11:28Speaker 4: and that's plenty. And by the way, when you have
- 11:32Speaker 4: a good red wine, it's good for you. It's good
- 11:37Speaker 4: for your brain, it's good for your heart, and your
- 11:40Speaker 4: taste buds are very happy as well. So wine is
- 11:44Speaker 4: a wonderful additive. Plenty of fruits and vegetables and so
- 11:49Speaker 4: many of the recipes of things that we can do
- 11:51Speaker 4: with it make food absolutely unbelievably exciting.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Somebody wanted to ask about tun misteaks. They wanted to
- 11:59Speaker 2: know how you feel about tuo misteaks on the Mediterranean and.
- 12:02Speaker 4: If they're going to make them, I'd like them to
- 12:04Speaker 4: have my phone number. Okay, no, I'm not giving well,
- 12:08Speaker 4: if they can call me up. But tuna steaks, it's wonderful,
- 12:11Speaker 4: and if you make them correctly and you don't overcook them,
- 12:16Speaker 4: it's it's better than actually eating a steak.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Okay, are any recipes.
- 12:21Speaker 4: Not very off that well, off the top of my head,
- 12:24Speaker 4: I would say that you smear them up with some
- 12:27Speaker 4: olive oil and the seasonings that you like. But the
- 12:31Speaker 4: trick with a good salmon steak a tuna steak is
- 12:36Speaker 4: not to overcook it and get it on one side,
- 12:39Speaker 4: flip it over get it ready and then you're ready
- 12:41Speaker 4: to eat. But if you cook it like you know
- 12:45Speaker 4: canned tuna, you've killed it. It's already dead. So we
- 12:49Speaker 4: don't want you to kill it any further.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Than that kill it more exactly. All right. Remind people
- 12:53Speaker 2: were your new location for your meetings.
- 12:55Speaker 4: The American Job Center for twenty six Leon Sullivan Way.

- 16:54Speaker 2: this morning on TV. But you know, anytime you're dealing
- 16:58Speaker 2: with the weather, she's a fickle beast, is Mother Nature,

- 17:04Speaker 2: you're a guy that has spent time all over the
- 17:06Speaker 2: world really, so you know that firsthand.
- 17:10Speaker 10: The award winning Hall of Famer Fred Person and I
- 17:13Speaker 10: were chatting this morning about my time living in Montana.
- 17:16Speaker 10: I was there for two years and there was a
- 17:18Speaker 10: February night we got two feet of snow, sidewalks were clear,
- 17:22Speaker 10: and school was on time that morning. So it's all relative.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Yeah, it is, it is, But I mean, you know,
- 17:29Speaker 2: in West Virginia is one of those places that is
- 17:31Speaker 2: the classic four seasons, especially where we are here in
- 17:34Speaker 2: the Valley Rosemary in time right exactly. There are certain
- 17:38Speaker 2: areas of the state that you know, I mean friends
- 17:40Speaker 2: originally from Beckley, he just like what snow and you know,
- 17:43Speaker 2: you get to Tucker County in places like that, but
- 17:45Speaker 2: you get places here in the valley. We're just not
- 17:46Speaker 2: used to it. One of the TV meteorology folks said
- 17:50Speaker 2: this would be the biggest snow we've had in years here.
- 17:53Speaker 2: We haven't probably we just haven't had those type of
- 17:56Speaker 2: snows in this area. We have what's called nuisance snows,
- 17:59Speaker 2: you know, inches or whatever, and you know, schools are
- 18:02Speaker 2: delayed and everybody goes out, as you say, goes out
- 18:04Speaker 2: and buys their French toast kits, French toast kit and
- 18:08Speaker 2: then it's all over. But you know, I don't. I mean,
- 18:12Speaker 2: you know, I'm kind of a weather geek, and I
- 18:14Speaker 2: kind of look at this stuff, probably more than I should.
- 18:16Speaker 1: I have.
- 18:16Speaker 2: I do believe that we're gonna get hammered.
- 18:19Speaker 10: I do believe that January twenty sixteen, fourteen inches of
- 18:24Speaker 10: snow in Charleston.
- 18:25Speaker 2: So what happens from time to time?
- 18:27Speaker 10: I chuckle at my friends who are in the Carolinas, though,
- 18:30Speaker 10: who are all kinds of worried about an inch or
- 18:32Speaker 10: two because two inches of snow shuts down the world
- 18:37Speaker 10: in the Carolinas and Georgia.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Well, but again, it's a relative thing, you know, relative
- 18:41Speaker 2: we I will say this, I will take snow over
- 18:43Speaker 2: a hurricane any day of the week. And when we here,
- 18:48Speaker 2: we have severe storms here, you know, people here lose
- 18:50Speaker 2: their mind over it. And people that deal with hurricanes
- 18:53Speaker 2: in Florida on a regular basis, or in Biloxi or
- 18:55Speaker 2: Corpus Christie are like, So, why you know, we have
- 18:58Speaker 2: a party, you know, mix up some more margarita as
- 19:00Speaker 2: we have a party.
- 19:01Speaker 10: I still recall that day the tornadoes came through here,
- 19:04Speaker 10: and everybody else's all kinds of jittery, like a Jack
- 19:08Speaker 10: Russell terrier mainlining caffeine. And I'm just like, now we're
- 19:11Speaker 10: all right, Okay, now it's time to go downstairs.
- 19:13Speaker 2: I've told that story of you before. I was actually
- 19:15Speaker 2: in your office that day a couple of years ago,
- 19:18Speaker 2: and and there was tornado warning, sirens are going off
- 19:20Speaker 2: and whatever. And I'm up there with Rob Real, who's
- 19:22Speaker 2: who is in from from? Grew up in India, flat Landia, Yeah,
- 19:26Speaker 2: my grow flatlands. He lives in Carmel, Indiana. And uh.
- 19:29Speaker 2: When Rob looks at me, and Rob says, uh, okay,
- 19:34Speaker 2: we need to go to the basement. I said, I'm
- 19:35Speaker 2: gonna go with that guy. With that guy says, all right,
- 19:37Speaker 2: let's talk some sauce please. Tomorrow.
- 19:39Speaker 10: Tomorrow is the day, seven am to six pm. You
- 19:42Speaker 10: roll through our parking lot here at eleven eleven Virginia
- 19:45Speaker 10: Street East. Hand us over some brand new socks or
- 19:48Speaker 10: cashwork check donations for Union Mission. They will take it
- 19:51Speaker 10: from there. The collection, the sorting, the distributing, keeping our
- 19:55Speaker 10: friends and neighbors in need warm this winter.
- 19:59Speaker 2: I can't stress enough the bulk.
- 20:01Speaker 10: Buying power that Union Mission has so this cash and
- 20:03Speaker 10: check donations are going to go much farther. But I
- 20:06Speaker 10: also understand there are folks that it has to be tactile,
- 20:10Speaker 10: it has to be concrete. They have to have You
- 20:12Speaker 10: have to have a thing in your hand to give
- 20:14Speaker 10: to me to make it real. I understand. That's why
- 20:17Speaker 10: we focus on one simple thing, socks. Never have to
- 20:20Speaker 10: worry about size or color. Just bring us, bring us socks.
- 20:24Speaker 10: That's what we need tomorrow.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Yeah, and again it's seven am to six pn our
- 20:27Speaker 2: parking lot eleven eleven Virginia Street East and Charleston. And
- 20:30Speaker 2: I will say, not trying to lead anyone to any
- 20:32Speaker 2: certain store, but as somebody who's probably you know, late
- 20:35Speaker 2: Doug scaff used to tell me when he would come
- 20:37Speaker 2: in to go on the show, he would see my
- 20:39Speaker 2: copy of the Charleston Gazette Mail here and he'd say,
- 20:41Speaker 2: as long as you are getting your subscription, I know
- 20:44Speaker 2: subscriptions will never go away. I say that because in
- 20:47Speaker 2: the hard copy of the Gazette Mail today there was
- 20:51Speaker 2: an insert for Dunham Sporting Goods, which is located right
- 20:54Speaker 2: off the Tays Valley ex at I sixty four Liberty Square,
- 20:58Speaker 2: and they had an ad in there to where they
- 21:00Speaker 2: and I didn't catch the price, but they have an
- 21:02Speaker 2: ad in there where they are kind of pushing out
- 21:05Speaker 2: some of the extra warm socks. I'm not saying you
- 21:08Speaker 2: have to go there, but I'm saying that's a place
- 21:09Speaker 2: that's putting them on sale.
- 21:11Speaker 10: We are we are very pro local business, and I
- 21:13Speaker 10: would say ninety six point one percent of the time
- 21:15Speaker 10: we are we are pushing local locals.
- 21:18Speaker 2: We'll see what you did there. Thank you, ninety six
- 21:19Speaker 2: point one, thank.
- 21:20Speaker 10: You and h But this is this is maybe the occasion,
- 21:24Speaker 10: the the loan occasion when we point out that big
- 21:28Speaker 10: box stores, big chain retailers, they also have bulk buying power,
- 21:33Speaker 10: and so you can get socks for cheaper than a
- 21:36Speaker 10: dollar a pair at places like Dunham's, TJ Max, Marshall, Walmart,
- 21:41Speaker 10: and Sam's, Ali's, uh.
- 21:44Speaker 2: You name it.
- 21:45Speaker 10: Those places that can buy a lot of stuff can
- 21:48Speaker 10: lower that price. So if you want to hand us
- 21:51Speaker 10: brand new socks, that's kind of the way to go
- 21:54Speaker 10: this time around.
- 21:55Speaker 2: But I go back to cash and check.
- 21:56Speaker 10: Donations will absolutely positively go the farthest tomorrow.
- 22:00Speaker 2: And you can visit the website.
- 22:02Speaker 10: We feed people dot com that is the Union Mission website.
- 22:06Speaker 10: It will be a QR code there that will take
- 22:08Speaker 10: you directly to donating to this particular situation. If you
- 22:13Speaker 10: want to become somebody who's regularly partners with Union Mission,
- 22:17Speaker 10: you'll have a way to do that there too.
- 22:19Speaker 2: My text says there were fifty percent off the heat
- 22:21Speaker 2: socks at Dunhams. That's what it was there. You go, there,
- 22:24Speaker 2: you go the heat socks.
- 22:25Speaker 10: Certainly, I'm a guy who lives in a one hundred
- 22:28Speaker 10: year old building.
- 22:29Speaker 2: That is it's very drafty, it's poorly it's poorly sealed.
- 22:33Speaker 2: It's just it's an old building, and so it gets
- 22:36Speaker 2: really cold. I know how important it is to me
- 22:39Speaker 2: to have a warm pair of socks just banging around
- 22:41Speaker 2: my living room and when I go to bed at night,
- 22:44Speaker 2: and then I think about folks who are displaced, folks
- 22:46Speaker 2: who are CouchSurfing, folks who are maybe have had their
- 22:50Speaker 2: heat shut off and they're trying to be trying to
- 22:52Speaker 2: heat a single wide with a kerosene heater. Please don't
- 22:55Speaker 2: do that, yeah, or or space heater, please don't do that.
- 22:59Speaker 10: But I understand and why people do it.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Socks are an amazing yet small gift you can be
- 23:08Speaker 2: giving to these folks. And look, it doesn't matter tomorrow
- 23:10Speaker 2: whether you roll in here with one pair of long
- 23:12Speaker 2: as they're new and still in the package socks or
- 23:15Speaker 2: as we've seen in years past, we've had people that
- 23:18Speaker 2: have come in with boxes that they've gone to these
- 23:20Speaker 2: places and come up with with boxes and socks, whatever
- 23:22Speaker 2: the case may be. And in the years past, and
- 23:25Speaker 2: I don't want to put you on the spot here, Rob,
- 23:26Speaker 2: but we from time to time we have selected people
- 23:28Speaker 2: that have come through the parking lot and we said, well, here,
- 23:30Speaker 2: we got a got a prize for you. I mean,
- 23:33Speaker 2: how are we doing on that?
- 23:34Speaker 10: I may or may not have some passes to the
- 23:37Speaker 10: West Virginia Hunting and Fishing Show, may be some, there
- 23:40Speaker 10: may be some other things from what is it? Animal
- 23:43Speaker 10: calls this thing the right, it was the prize and
- 23:46Speaker 10: it's not the prize. Ditch the random prize, random prize closet.
- 23:49Speaker 2: Steve Animal.
- 23:50Speaker 10: Yeah, so lots of lots of odds and ends we
- 23:53Speaker 10: including Steve Animal. Yeah, we'll give you Steve Animal. He
- 23:56Speaker 10: puts the odd and odds and ends to be sure,
- 23:58Speaker 10: so we may we may have some things to to
- 24:02Speaker 10: uh say, thank you folks who stop in.
- 24:05Speaker 2: I don't want to. I don't want to dangle too
- 24:06Speaker 2: many carrots side sticks. But you never know, you never know,
- 24:09Speaker 2: you never know, all right. Another text says Ollie's has
- 24:12Speaker 2: wool socks for five bucks. There you go, there you go,
- 24:15Speaker 2: there you go. And I will say this, I want
- 24:17Speaker 2: to give a big shout out to the folks at
- 24:20Speaker 2: Rolling Smoke Barbecue because they are going to provide our
- 24:22Speaker 2: lunch tomorrow, and uh, and we appreciate that because you know,
- 24:26Speaker 2: we are going to be in and out, you know,
- 24:29Speaker 2: all day tomorrow and uh we we tend to get
- 24:32Speaker 2: a little hungry up here. And if you've seen either
- 24:34Speaker 2: one of us, you know we can eat. The folks
- 24:36Speaker 2: that Rolling Smoke actually heard about what we were doing,
- 24:38Speaker 2: reached out to us and said, hey, we'd like to
- 24:40Speaker 2: provide your guys lunch tomorrow. So big shout out to them.
- 24:42Speaker 1: It is.
- 24:44Speaker 10: It is wonderful when West Virginians take care of West Virginians.
- 24:47Speaker 10: That's what these events are always all about. Drop your socks.
- 24:51Speaker 10: And I know every single man and probably most women
- 24:54Speaker 10: who have been through basic training are chuckling at that name.
- 24:58Speaker 2: I hope, yes, I hope I hope that joke isn't lost.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Once you told me the story, I got it. I
- 25:04Speaker 2: can't get it out of my head right now. Tex
- 25:05Speaker 2: says a dollar tree. Sorry. Packs of socks also, they
- 25:11Speaker 2: have some six packs starting at a buck fifty.
- 25:13Speaker 10: That's amazing And I would love to think maybe there
- 25:17Speaker 10: are folks hearing about these events. Who are you know,
- 25:20Speaker 10: discounting stuff? But I can't be so vain as to
- 25:23Speaker 10: think we're driving prices down. But whatever it takes, and
- 25:26Speaker 10: get some for yourself please too. We were talking the
- 25:30Speaker 10: other day about one of the moments you become an
- 25:33Speaker 10: adult is when you realize that socks are a great
- 25:35Speaker 10: gift for Christmas. I love getting socks now, so I'll
- 25:40Speaker 10: do a refresh of my own sock.
- 25:42Speaker 2: Drawer as part of this as well. All right again,
- 25:44Speaker 2: seven am to six pm on our parking lot eleven
- 25:46Speaker 2: eleven Virginia Street East and Charleston Tomorrow, panhandle cleaning and restoration,
- 25:50Speaker 2: making it all possible. Team with the folks at Union Mission.
- 25:52Speaker 2: We'll have Jason, Mighty Joe, the entire team from Union
- 25:55Speaker 2: Mission will be here. Of course you'll be out there
- 25:57Speaker 2: getting it all set up tomorrow. Actually, probably the Sea
- 26:00Speaker 2: near end of tomorrow, one of you guys will be
- 26:01Speaker 2: out there getting it all set up. Big shout out
- 26:03Speaker 2: to our man, Brian Bradley Wolfe as we call him,
- 26:05Speaker 2: who's gonna go for it, who's gonna be out there
- 26:07Speaker 2: helping us as well all of our stations. You're gonna
- 26:09Speaker 2: see people from V one hundred, You'll see people from CHS.
- 26:12Speaker 2: You'll see the office staff of sales, weasels, You'll see
- 26:14Speaker 2: people from the Beat out there as well. So you know,
- 26:18Speaker 2: this is something that we do. It's one of our
- 26:20Speaker 2: three or four big events that we do every year.
- 26:22Speaker 2: We take that seriously that the WVRC Media lives here too,
- 26:26Speaker 2: and not just us here in Charleston, but our other company,
- 26:30Speaker 2: our other stations through out the state do similar type
- 26:32Speaker 2: things as well.
- 26:32Speaker 10: I have worked in all sorts of places. I've lived
- 26:35Speaker 10: in seventeen states, three other countries, and there is a
- 26:38Speaker 10: big among the big reasons why I came back here
- 26:41Speaker 10: is the way WVRC Media comes together to help our
- 26:44Speaker 10: friends and neighbors.
- 26:45Speaker 2: All right, And I'll drag you in here tomorrow with
- 26:47Speaker 2: some of the other folks that'll be on the show
- 26:49Speaker 2: coming tomorrow again. It's our annual Dropper Socks event sponsored
- 26:53Speaker 2: by Panhandle Cleaning and Restoration. Seven am will six pm
- 26:57Speaker 2: on our parking Nott eleven eleven, Virginia, Shortecent, Charleston. You
- 27:00Speaker 2: don't even have to get out of your car. We'll
- 27:01Speaker 2: have staff out there. You can pull right in, make
- 27:03Speaker 2: your donations and pull right back out again. And then
- 27:06Speaker 2: you and I will be over at the Hunting and
- 27:08Speaker 2: Fishing Show. Yes we will this weekend. I'll talk to
- 27:10Speaker 2: Glenn Jerrold from the Trophy Hunters Association about that and
- 27:14Speaker 2: what kind of plans they're making for this weekend with
- 27:16Speaker 2: the weather coming in kidding, so we might just be
- 27:19Speaker 2: hanging out there all weekend, could be. I mean, there's
- 27:22Speaker 2: worse things to live. I I hope Millie's not listening anymore.

- 30:48Speaker 2: Glenn Jerald with the Westernginion Trophy Hunters Association joins us. Now,
- 30:50Speaker 2: good morning, sir, welcome to the show.
- 30:52Speaker 8: Good morning, thank you, Thank you for having me.
- 30:54Speaker 2: And we said that this is the thirty eighth annual event.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Talk about how the show has evolved the years. Oh,
- 31:01Speaker 2: it started out with just few of us getting together.
- 31:04Speaker 2: We wanted to do something for the local fishermen and
- 31:07Speaker 2: hunters and for the local people that supported those things,
- 31:11Speaker 2: and so we just got them all together and it
- 31:15Speaker 2: worked out great. It was the first time they could
- 31:17Speaker 2: actually talk to outfitters, you know, face to face, without
- 31:21Speaker 2: being on the Internet or so forth. So it is
- 31:24Speaker 2: now it involved. We have over one hundred and fifty
- 31:27Speaker 2: exhibitors there. AUBU booth is sold out. We have outfitters
- 31:31Speaker 2: from all over the United States out out west. If
- 31:34Speaker 2: you wanted to book a elk hunt or something from
- 31:37Speaker 2: someone in Colorado or New Mexico, Wyoming, they'll be there.
- 31:41Speaker 8: We have outfitters from Canada. If you want to book
- 31:45Speaker 8: a moose hunt or a bear hunt. They're there. We
- 31:48Speaker 8: have seven outfitters from South Africa. So if you want
- 31:51Speaker 8: to do a safari, come down and talk to those guys.
- 31:53Speaker 8: They can tell you, you know, the cost of it,
- 31:56Speaker 8: what's involved in it, and so forth, and you can
- 31:58Speaker 8: get the information go back and think about it and
- 32:01Speaker 8: need either book a trip or just just find out
- 32:06Speaker 8: all the information.
- 32:06Speaker 2: And one of the things I like about this, Glenn,
- 32:09Speaker 2: is that there's a lot of as we call them,
- 32:11Speaker 2: good old boys and girls that come in that you know,
- 32:13Speaker 2: we talk about the safaris and we and all of
- 32:15Speaker 2: a sudden stuff and that's all well and good. There's
- 32:17Speaker 2: a lot of people around here that love that. But
- 32:18Speaker 2: if you just want to come in and just talk
- 32:20Speaker 2: about how, you know, how you go deer hunting up
- 32:23Speaker 2: north or wherever, that that's line too.
- 32:25Speaker 8: When you first come in, the trout fishermen will be there.
- 32:29Speaker 8: They have a couple of booths set up. You can
- 32:31Speaker 8: talk to them about what's going on in the world
- 32:33Speaker 8: of trout fishing, where they're stalking and so forth, and
- 32:35Speaker 8: how things are going, or if you want to talk
- 32:38Speaker 8: about with the d n R about what's going on
- 32:41Speaker 8: with the hunter regulations and so forth, there. They're uh
- 32:45Speaker 8: people will be there there. People will also be there
- 32:50Speaker 8: talking about what's going on with the Wildlife Division, whether
- 32:53Speaker 8: they're trapping rattlesnakes or bears or ever one, and what's
- 32:56Speaker 8: going on with their local studies. You can talk to
- 32:59Speaker 8: those people. There's a information there at the West Vine
- 33:02Speaker 8: and Fishing Show.
- 33:02Speaker 2: There is, and there's because food always interests me. Absolutely,
- 33:06Speaker 2: there's some there's some great booths for food there.
- 33:09Speaker 8: Absolutely. The Crazy Pickle Guy will be there, Crazy cucumber Man.
- 33:13Speaker 8: He's called and we told the pickle the pickle Man.
- 33:16Speaker 2: I'll tell you about this first time I went to
- 33:17Speaker 2: this event several years ago, and then when I've worked
- 33:20Speaker 2: at the last couple of years, just seeing the line
- 33:23Speaker 2: that they have. I mean, you know, when before I
- 33:27Speaker 2: started going to this show and work at it every year,
- 33:29Speaker 2: if you said pickles, I said deal, sweet, maybe hot
- 33:34Speaker 2: bread and butter. This is a whole different level the
- 33:38Speaker 2: varieties of different pickles that this guy has. Glenn.
- 33:41Speaker 8: Absolutely, it's a great hit. You would think, why will
- 33:44Speaker 8: you be selling pickles at a Western fishing show. It's
- 33:47Speaker 8: an attraction. People come in for that.
- 33:49Speaker 2: Okay, And where's he from? Where's he out?
- 33:51Speaker 8: Of he's from Pennsylvania.
- 33:52Speaker 2: Pennsylvania. Okay.
- 33:53Speaker 8: The reason I know he sold out of pickles last
- 33:55Speaker 8: year and he had to go back Friday night and
- 33:57Speaker 8: get more pickles for Saturday. And there's other vendors there.
- 34:02Speaker 8: If you want beef, jerky or ever want, it's there.
- 34:05Speaker 8: People stilling candy and so forth. There's something there for everyone.
- 34:08Speaker 2: And again the hours are gonna be noon till nine
- 34:12Speaker 2: on Friday, nine or nine on Saturday, ten to five
- 34:14Speaker 2: on Sunday. I do have to ask you about the
- 34:17Speaker 2: elephant in the room though. Okay, the old saying goes Glenn.
- 34:20Speaker 2: Everybody talks about the weather, but no one does anything
- 34:23Speaker 2: about it. Looks like accumulating snow is going to kick
- 34:25Speaker 2: in late Saturday afternoon, possibly going through Sunday night. Models
- 34:29Speaker 2: are all different, still too far out that Brian Hughes
- 34:31Speaker 2: of the world would say, it's too far out for
- 34:34Speaker 2: us to do any kind of predictions. But the show
- 34:37Speaker 2: must go on.
- 34:37Speaker 8: Absolutely, we will be there rain snow fleet everyone, it's
- 34:41Speaker 8: the doors are gonna be open. Come on down, get
- 34:44Speaker 8: out on the weather, come down and enjoy the show.
- 34:47Speaker 2: You know when you can safely do so. If that's
- 34:49Speaker 2: the case, and look it may I mean, we don't
- 34:51Speaker 2: know yet. But the bottom line is these folks are
- 34:53Speaker 2: already probably starting I mean it's Wednesday now, they're already
- 34:57Speaker 2: starting to either come in or getting ready to come in,
- 35:00Speaker 2: come in no matter what. And so the show is
- 35:02Speaker 2: going to go on, is what you're telling me, as scheduled,
- 35:04Speaker 2: even on Sunday.
- 35:05Speaker 8: Yeah. In fact, I'm getting calls. I started getting calls yesterday.
- 35:08Speaker 8: What are you going from people that from out of
- 35:11Speaker 8: state want to come to the show. What are you
- 35:12Speaker 8: going to do about the snow? Hey, the doors are open.
- 35:16Speaker 2: Will be there, Okay, yeah, one hundred percent you will
- 35:18Speaker 2: indeed be there for Dave Island Show on five Any
- 35:20Speaker 2: Live is brought to you a part by your hometown
- 35:22Speaker 2: baseball team, the Charles Dirty Birds. It's wintertime, of course,
- 35:25Speaker 2: but we're thinking about baseball at Gomart Ballpark. Now'd be
- 35:28Speaker 2: a great time to get your season tickets. Dirty Birds
- 35:30Speaker 2: merchant more and be listening over the next couple days.
- 35:32Speaker 2: For some more information about some things related to Valentine's
- 35:35Speaker 2: Day that they're going to be doing at the ballpark,
- 35:36Speaker 2: visit Dirtybirds baseball dot com for more information and the
- 35:40Speaker 2: thing about the show is, and again I've worked there
- 35:42Speaker 2: for the last several years. I'll be over there Saturday morning.
- 35:46Speaker 2: There is always something new every year. Your familiar favorites
- 35:50Speaker 2: are there, but then there's always new things over year.
- 35:52Speaker 2: What are some new things we have this year?
- 35:53Speaker 8: Yes, well again this year, we're gonna have some beautiful
- 35:56Speaker 8: boats out in the lobby. That's been a big hit,
- 35:59Speaker 8: that's coming back. But we have one thing special that
- 36:02Speaker 8: we're really blessed in having. We will have the world's
- 36:05Speaker 8: largest white tail antler there that's ever been found, ever
- 36:08Speaker 8: been scored. It was found in nineteen fifty nine in Nebraska,
- 36:13Speaker 8: and we're fortunate enough to have it at the show
- 36:15Speaker 8: this year. It's scored two hundred and eighteen points. And
- 36:18Speaker 8: if you're aware of the scoring for the white tail deer,
- 36:21Speaker 8: if you kill one with archery, it's a one hundred
- 36:24Speaker 8: and ten, it goes into record book. If you kill
- 36:26Speaker 8: one with a rifle, it's one hundred and thirty. This
- 36:28Speaker 8: guy has got one that's with two hundred and eighteen points, So.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Two hundred and I don't know a whole lot about this.
- 36:35Speaker 2: I rely on the Chris Lawrences of the world.
- 36:36Speaker 8: But two hundred and eighteen, two hundred and eighteen. It's
- 36:38Speaker 8: the world's largest, and we're that alone is worth coming,
- 36:42Speaker 8: getting out in the snow and coming down to the
- 36:44Speaker 8: show to see. So we're really fortunate to have it,
- 36:48Speaker 8: and we're really looking forward to everyone getting to come
- 36:51Speaker 8: and see it, all right. So there's something new for everyone,
- 36:54Speaker 8: all right.
- 36:54Speaker 2: And again the hours are nine or Newdle nine on Friday,
- 36:59Speaker 2: nine to nine and Saturday time five on Sunday, and
- 37:00Speaker 2: the Coddalseeman Convention Center is going to be rocking, no
- 37:03Speaker 2: pun intended this weekend because we got this going on.
- 37:06Speaker 2: I think if I'm correct, there is a gospel music event,
- 37:09Speaker 2: a contemporary Christian show happening there Friday night. Jason Alding
- 37:14Speaker 2: is in concert there on Saturday night. And that's one
- 37:17Speaker 2: of the great things about the new if you will,
- 37:20Speaker 2: CODDLESEEUM and Convention Center because last year at this time
- 37:23Speaker 2: we had a top country concert going on there. Red's
- 37:26Speaker 2: Caravan was going on with Unfortunately the Reds made the
- 37:29Speaker 2: decision this year not to do a Red's Caravan at
- 37:30Speaker 2: all this year, so that's out. And then we had
- 37:33Speaker 2: the Hunting and Fishing show going on, and I remember
- 37:36Speaker 2: the gentleman and his name escapes Me that was in
- 37:38Speaker 2: concert last year at the Coddleseumconvention Center, was all excited
- 37:42Speaker 2: when he found out that in another part of the
- 37:44Speaker 2: building the Hunting and Fishing show was going on, and
- 37:46Speaker 2: he made arrangements to get out among the people and
- 37:49Speaker 2: come to the hunting and Fishing show.
- 37:51Speaker 8: It's something for everyone at the coliseum this weekend.
- 37:55Speaker 2: All right, and there are plenty of tickets available the
- 37:58Speaker 2: vending But when he said the words sold out, the
- 38:02Speaker 2: booths themselves have sold out. But you never sell out
- 38:04Speaker 2: because as far as for the people, there's always room.
- 38:07Speaker 2: And I'll guarantee you even with the heavy weather coming
- 38:09Speaker 2: in on Sunday, I promise you that place will still
- 38:12Speaker 2: be packed.
- 38:14Speaker 8: And the tickets is a real deal. It's just twelve
- 38:16Speaker 8: dollars for adults and children under twelve get in free.
- 38:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's a great value. And look, I
- 38:23Speaker 2: got buddies of mine that will come all three days
- 38:25Speaker 2: because they say that they can't take it all in
- 38:28Speaker 2: in two or three hours, so they'll literally come back Friday,
- 38:30Speaker 2: Saturday and Sunday, and they bring the entire family with
- 38:34Speaker 2: them as well. And you know it's one of those
- 38:36Speaker 2: events that the family can do together. There's not a
- 38:38Speaker 2: lot of things these days that the family can do together,
- 38:40Speaker 2: but this is this is one of those. Yet.
- 38:42Speaker 8: We have something we call an Outdoor Youth Challenge where
- 38:45Speaker 8: the youngsters can come in and they can shoot archery,
- 38:48Speaker 8: they can do fly casting. The Department Natural Resources will
- 38:52Speaker 8: have their laser shoot trailer. They go in and shoot
- 38:55Speaker 8: a laser shoot and it's an educational thing for them.
- 38:58Speaker 8: The officers will help them decide whether it's a safe
- 39:01Speaker 8: shot or a dangerous shot. So if there's something for
- 39:04Speaker 8: everyone there.
- 39:06Speaker 2: All right, Glenn Jerald from the Trophy Anders Association, appreciate you.
- 39:10Speaker 2: Stomp it by the thirty eighth Annual West Virginia Hunting
- 39:12Speaker 2: and Fishing Show at the Coliseum and Convention Center. Glenn
- 39:14Speaker 2: tells me, Snowby darned, it's going on. They're not going
- 39:18Speaker 2: to cancel. It's going to be going on, and I'll
- 39:20Speaker 2: do want to mention that Chris Lawrence will be doing
- 39:22Speaker 2: West Virginia Outdoors live from there on Saturday morning. I
- 39:24Speaker 2: get to be Chris's showrunner. That's what I get to do.
- 39:27Speaker 2: That's my job. I get to go. I get to
- 39:29Speaker 2: go get the people and bring them in. I'm working
- 39:31Speaker 2: for Chris On, so you think you'd buy me some
- 39:33Speaker 2: food or something, but I'm working for him. On Saturday
- 39:35Speaker 2: morning a mission twelve dollars at the door, twelve under
- 39:38Speaker 2: get in for free noondle nine Friday nine to nine
- 39:40Speaker 2: Saturday ten or five on Sunday. Appreciate you being here, Glenn,
- 39:43Speaker 2: and we'll see you this weekend. Man, Thanks a lot.

- 46:13Speaker 2: right there.
- 46:14Speaker 4: You know.
- 46:15Speaker 2: It's we'll take either one. But sometimes the cash and
- 46:18Speaker 2: the checks go even further because Union Mission's got deals
- 46:21Speaker 2: with people where they can get deals better than what
- 46:23Speaker 2: you and I could. You know, so, but either one,
- 46:25Speaker 2: either one is fine with us.
- 46:27Speaker 10: UH.
- 46:27Speaker 2: And and as I said, we're going to have some
- 46:30Speaker 2: prizes for people that come in there as well. I
- 46:33Speaker 2: did want to mention something real, real quick, and then
- 46:37Speaker 2: we'll send it live to the Capitol. And there's not
- 46:40Speaker 2: a lot of time to get into this. I'll get
- 46:41Speaker 2: into it more tomorrow and I'll get into it definitely
- 46:43Speaker 2: a Metro News midday today. We've we've heard a lot
- 46:46Speaker 2: about ice, uh, and it always seemed like I'm not
- 46:50Speaker 2: talking about frozen water. I'm talking about the organization ICE.
- 46:55Speaker 15: And UH.
- 46:55Speaker 2: And I you know, and you see on social media.
- 46:58Speaker 2: ICE is here. They're at this Mexican restaurant. We've seen
- 47:01Speaker 2: it here in the valley. They're at this roofing company,
- 47:03Speaker 2: and so on and so forth. A situation happened yesterday,
- 47:08Speaker 2: and I just have a lot of questions about it.
- 47:11Speaker 2: I do. And look, I am a person. You can't
- 47:14Speaker 2: figure me out politically, so don't even try. But I
- 47:17Speaker 2: will say this, I do not have questions about deporting
- 47:22Speaker 2: people that are here illegally. I do have questions about
- 47:25Speaker 2: sometimes the way it's being done. And I think that's
- 47:27Speaker 2: a fair assessment. So I talked to my sister earlier
- 47:31Speaker 2: this morning. My niece who is nineteen years old, lives
- 47:35Speaker 2: in Wyoming County. Yesterday, was driving through the city of
- 47:39Speaker 2: Oceana and was pulled over by people identifying themselves as
- 47:45Speaker 2: ICE agents. Now, if you knew my niece Malia, and
- 47:48Speaker 2: I'm going to say this the most politically correct way
- 47:51Speaker 2: I can, so Ryan doesn't pull the plug on me here.
- 47:54Speaker 2: She's the widest human being that ever lived. She is,
- 47:59Speaker 2: as my sisters said about her, she's so white, she's
- 48:01Speaker 2: she's almost transparent, bright orange hair. She got pulled over
- 48:08Speaker 2: in the city of Oceanna, in Wyoming County yesterday by
- 48:11Speaker 2: people identifying themselves as ICE. She did the right thing,
- 48:15Speaker 2: you know, she pulled over, complied, a little scared, of course.
- 48:19Speaker 2: They asked her where she was going, what she was doing.
- 48:24Speaker 2: They walked This was eleven o'clock in the morning yesterday
- 48:26Speaker 2: in the city of Oceanna. They walked around the car,
- 48:29Speaker 2: did not search your car, did not ask to search
- 48:31Speaker 2: your car, didn't open the trump or trunk or anything
- 48:33Speaker 2: like that. Didn't ask her if she had anything illegal,
- 48:36Speaker 2: you know, drugs or transporting anyone. They did look in
- 48:40Speaker 2: the back seat. And I'm not that all that close
- 48:44Speaker 2: to my niece, but I will say that if she's
- 48:46Speaker 2: anything like my sister, uh, it probably looks like your
- 48:49Speaker 2: run down apartment in the back of her car because
- 48:51Speaker 2: she's a little messy. I got the neat gene in
- 48:54Speaker 2: the family. My sister did not. You know, everybody's different.
- 48:58Speaker 2: They questioned her. They'd not asked her to get out
- 49:00Speaker 2: of the car. They did ask her for a driver's license.
- 49:02Speaker 2: They ran her driver's license, and then they gave her
- 49:06Speaker 2: driver's license back, tapped on the window and said you're
- 49:08Speaker 2: free to go, and that was the end of course,
- 49:11Speaker 2: nineteen year old female driving alone. She was a little
- 49:15Speaker 2: frightened about the whole thing, but she she held her own,
- 49:18Speaker 2: not confrontational or anything like that. And I guess you
- 49:25Speaker 2: know these things when I first when I first saw it,
- 49:31Speaker 2: and I saw it because my sister posted it on
- 49:34Speaker 2: social media. And what she did. You know, my sister
- 49:38Speaker 2: is not political in the least, okay, but she posted
- 49:41Speaker 2: it just to say to warn people, just to be careful.
- 49:46Speaker 2: And my niece, I did not have not talked to
- 49:49Speaker 2: my niece. I did talk to my sister this morning.
- 49:52Speaker 2: She said that the agents that pulled her over weren't
- 49:56Speaker 2: really nice and weren't really not nice. If you've seen
- 49:59Speaker 2: the video, it could have been a lot worse. I
- 50:02Speaker 2: don't know if they were looking for a vehicle that
- 50:07Speaker 2: looked similar to what my niece drives. My niece is
- 50:13Speaker 2: a student already working in the healthcare field like her mother,
- 50:19Speaker 2: and I don't know. She wasn't speeding, she wasn't on
- 50:23Speaker 2: her phone, but they pulled her over because they were
- 50:26Speaker 2: looking for, I guess, someone who drove a She never
- 50:31Speaker 2: really was able to ascertain from the agents because smartly,
- 50:34Speaker 2: she didn't ask, you know, she didn't stick a phone
- 50:37Speaker 2: in their face like a lot of people do and
- 50:39Speaker 2: go why am I being pulled over? She didn't do that.
- 50:41Speaker 2: She did what she was taught and said yes, sir, no, sir,
- 50:46Speaker 2: and so on and so forth, and they let her
- 50:48Speaker 2: go after about five minutes after they again, they didn't
- 50:51Speaker 2: search the car. They just asked. They wanted to know
- 50:53Speaker 2: where she was going, where she had been, and they
- 50:58Speaker 2: ran her driver's license. Everything came back clean. And I guess,
- 51:02Speaker 2: I don't know for some reason, as somebody who's just
- 51:04Speaker 2: kind of sat back and watched this whole ice thing,
- 51:08Speaker 2: it goes to uh extremes, It goes and it goes
- 51:14Speaker 2: to the extreams on both sides. We saw what happened
- 51:16Speaker 2: in Putnam County where some of my good friends that
- 51:19Speaker 2: are members of the fire department there we're getting death
- 51:23Speaker 2: threats because they were asked to bring a ladder truck
- 51:28Speaker 2: to a scene. Uh, and you're a first responder. You
- 51:31Speaker 2: don't ask questions. You just show up. That's what first
- 51:33Speaker 2: responders do. So I guess my point in saying all
- 51:36Speaker 2: this is to say that it's a it's a screwed
- 51:39Speaker 2: up situation regardless. And uh, maybe it hit a little
- 51:43Speaker 2: closer in the home because it was somebody in my
- 51:44Speaker 2: family who I'm still If you saw my niece, you
- 51:48Speaker 2: would think, why in the world would she be pulled over?
- 51:51Speaker 2: You know? So, but it happened. Tex says anyone who
- 51:55Speaker 2: agrees to being pulled over for no reason other than
- 51:57Speaker 2: citizen papers, check those people lick the booth in the ack. Okay,
- 51:59Speaker 2: Well you can at ben, Tex says Dave. It's another
- 52:02Speaker 2: business where she's going, where she's been at the free country.
- 52:05Speaker 2: But I says, the okay to violate everyone's rights. Look
- 52:09Speaker 2: at the crap Ice is putting up with. I think
- 52:11Speaker 2: I'd rather be a little stand office too. If I
- 52:12Speaker 2: were constantly getting death threats, well my my my niece
- 52:15Speaker 2: now is a little stand office too, Sir madam, I'll
- 52:18Speaker 2: say that all right. Wilson and Meadows coming up at
- 52:23Speaker 2: the ten oh six time slot. We'll talk. I'll see
- 52:26Speaker 2: later day with Metro News Midday powered by selinglela' Until then,
- 52:29Speaker 2: have fun to love somebody.
- 52:48Speaker 1: A six point five Charleston one O four point five
- 52:50Speaker 1: Cross Lanes w v RC Media Station. We are proud
- 52:55Speaker 1: to live here too,
