- 0:00Hello and welcome to another episode of the Christian re
- 0:03podcast. Today's guest is a podcaster
- 0:05hailing all the way from the Bronx in the United States.
- 0:07His name is xaga. Welcome to the show.
- 0:09How you doing? I'm doing well man, I appreciate
- 0:12you getting me on the show. I was born and raised in the
- 0:14Bronx time that I don't matter. I don't reside in the Bronx
- 0:16anymore. Don't reside in the Bronx
- 0:18anymore. We moved on up.
- 0:19Yeah. So let's jump forward with that.
- 0:22So are you living in Salem Massachusetts?
- 0:25Now, No. I just go there a lot whole lot.
- 0:30Actually live in anything. You, okay, Connecticut, okay,
- 0:33cool. I never this big wrestling fan
- 0:35so I know all about that. Yeah.
- 0:38I'll be okay. Oh, mice massive, huge wrestling
- 0:42fan. So for those who don't know, the
- 0:44significance of Connecticut is that that is I believe the
- 0:47headquarters of WWE. The biggest wrestling company in
- 0:50the world used to be next door to ESPN.
- 0:53Oh man. Okay and Bristol.
- 0:55Bristol Connecticut. They move their headquarters to
- 0:57Stanford. Stanley kinetic is the
- 0:59headquarters of we now, it's a person in New York, who Bristol?
- 1:03That's interested. Bristol is a major city get to
- 1:06Stamford Connecticut. Yep, I only know this because
- 1:09there's a water park about a half, a mile down, the road from
- 1:13the to building. So you would drive by W
- 1:15headquarters and you would drive by ESPN headquarters to go to a
- 1:18water park. That explains why WWE was always
- 1:21so obsessed with ESPN that over them wanted to get main coverage
- 1:25like they will right next to them.
- 1:26Like, come on guys. Come on.
- 1:27Come on. Give us some literally next
- 1:28door. That's how they got caught.
- 1:30That's how they got the coach. That's how ESPN still coach.
- 1:33Yeah, and then he left when he came back again and again.
- 1:38Yes, listen is. This is Disney, man.
- 1:40They pay. I don't know what to say through
- 1:42the, which, what do you reckon ww and up like ownership wise?
- 1:46Because there was that big old rumor last year that they were
- 1:49going to be bought out by the Saudis, which seemed like it was
- 1:51legit. And then it turned out to be not
- 1:53legit and then there's talk of like maybe Disney acquiring
- 1:56them? NBC wait.
- 1:58Also not, um, I don't know really, I think, I think the
- 2:04whole Saudi thing is a bad decision because you're going to
- 2:08have a lot of superstars walk away.
- 2:09And a lot of big names Superstars, I think Becky Lynch
- 2:12was one of them that did not want to be part of it anymore.
- 2:15If the Saudis took over it and for good reason, I mean, they
- 2:20they kind of live no offense to any other culture out there but
- 2:23you know it's kind of predated culture where people aren't
- 2:26supposed to be keep covered up and stuff like that and it's
- 2:28offensive. Of like to monitor 23 of the
- 2:30world's different and especially we we don't watch the Divas.
- 2:35I'm not gonna be not trying to be offensive but let's be real.
- 2:38You know, the guys watch the Divas because well, we want to
- 2:41see some skin. I remember back in the
- 2:43aggressive area or what was aggressive or back in the day.
- 2:48You know, they had aggressive era across the crescents.
- 2:51What it was. But like this aggression.
- 2:54Yeah, they literally had pillow fights lingerie matches.
- 2:57Remember that? I do.
- 2:58It was kind of painful. Like, don't get me wrong.
- 3:00I was Frenchy. I was a young impressionable
- 3:02kid, so obviously I loved seeing quite easy to watch it, but I
- 3:07don't know. It's because I personally see it
- 3:09as like The Best of Both Worlds. You got these with awesome women
- 3:12who can perform well, absolutely retain and then also they are
- 3:15really hot. So it's like, you know, 241.
- 3:18It's great. That that leaders back makes
- 3:20makes it so much better. It's cook.
- 3:22Yeah, it's cool. I mean, like I was thinking as
- 3:24this past Royal Rumble happened. How awesome is that we get like
- 3:28To Royal Rumble matches. Now, yeah.
- 3:32Now, this is fucking awesome. It was, I remember back in the
- 3:36early 2000s, watching the female division wrestle, they weren't
- 3:40as physical as they were as they are today.
- 3:42They weren't doing some of the stuff, the guys were and to see,
- 3:46I mean let's be putting Stacy Keibler, you know, Trish Stratus
- 3:49Lita, they were the goats but everyone everyone in the world
- 3:52respected, Lita and obviously China as well because they would
- 3:55go into the men's division and do stuff with them as well and
- 3:57not just be I Candy. And now you see that, it's his
- 4:00own story lines, its own thing, I know they the problem though
- 4:05that I see that they were doing is having they have so many good
- 4:07story lines. They just don't know how to
- 4:08really approach it correctly, at least, recently, from what I'm
- 4:12saying. Yeah, I think with the video, be
- 4:15the problem has always been in more recent years that the, they
- 4:18pull the trigger on stories too quickly.
- 4:20There are some notable exceptions though.
- 4:22I mean, recently, they've had this storyline with Sami Zayn
- 4:25and the bloodline everything which has been excellent and
- 4:28it's played out. Let's never you mommy award
- 4:30winning. Oh yeah.
- 4:31Yeah, if you, if I ever wanted to kind of demonstrate the best
- 4:35of professional wrestling, I just showed them the end of
- 4:37Royal Rumble this year because it was, it was like devastating.
- 4:41I don't know. It's like something out of a
- 4:42movie. I was like, oh my God.
- 4:43No brilliant. Massive twist ending.
- 4:46Well speaking of which I think we go, you can see it coming but
- 4:53question for you think the rock is going to come out of
- 4:55retirement and wrestle Roman take down the bloodline show.
- 4:58For the True Blood Line is if ever there was a time to do it.
- 5:02Now is the time. I mean, come on WrestleMania in
- 5:04Hollywood. Like when L see going to do it,
- 5:07you could do it Wrestlemania, 40.
- 5:09I mean, I do know, like it's kind of a weird one because the
- 5:14rock is he's no longer a wrestler.
- 5:16He's an actor now and you know, it's like any of them, John Cena
- 5:21The Rock, whatever, like when they come out of retirement and
- 5:24they come to wrestle. It's it's a danger because you
- 5:28know, it's so easy to break a bone, you know, whatever get
- 5:31injured especially when you're older and you haven't been doing
- 5:33it like week in week out. Just see CM Punk.
- 5:37You know, he spent seven years away from The Ring came back.
- 5:40He gets inches all the time but you know, you can't really blame
- 5:43the guy. It's like you're not 20 years
- 5:46old anymore, you know, CM Punk. Also had a field UFC career.
- 5:50So there's that, I mean, just like the kind of the Incan that
- 5:54they're consistent day in day out, you know?
- 5:56Let take someone like Randy Orton same same age, right?
- 5:59And he's been doing it full-time since since his early 20s or
- 6:06whatever and you know he's getting injured more now and
- 6:08he's at the top of his game, you know, he's really healthy man
- 6:12but it's just like the body just gives out after a while and
- 6:15bring it back to the Rock. Like It's a money match.
- 6:20It's an obvious choice, it would make money, it would be easy
- 6:25because Roman is an excellent competitor.
- 6:27He could carry the rock through it.
- 6:29I'm not no disrespect to the Rock but like you need someone.
- 6:32You can trust and yeah Roman could make stuff look
- 6:35devastating and he's really good at her and he's it's and I mean
- 6:39come on. Imagine the promo.
- 6:40Is it be brilliant? Oh my God, the trash talk will
- 6:43be next. Yeah, and I think I think he's
- 6:46another thing as well. That No, not many people were
- 6:49talking about. I feel like I almost feel like
- 6:54it would be better to do a Wrestlemania 40, give people the
- 6:58the special moment with Cody make you know go off and do
- 7:02Roman doesn't need the title anymore.
- 7:05This is there's certain people that don't need the title
- 7:07anymore. Seth Rollins is one of them.
- 7:09But I saw an article earlier like oh it would suck if if
- 7:12every year re Roland's just Rollins just put someone else
- 7:15over and you know it's like he doesn't need the toll that the
- 7:18whole point of the tile. Generally speaking is to elevate
- 7:21a competitor, put them onto our main 11th event level, but not
- 7:25everyone needs the title. I mean Jake the Snake Roberts
- 7:27never needed for tile. There's plenty of other
- 7:30competitors that don't need it. I mean, it's I know it's a
- 7:32symbolic of like, you're the man, you're the Person, you
- 7:35know, you're the head of the company, whatever, but some
- 7:38people just don't eat it. I think.
- 7:39And I think that Reigns is now one of them and I feel like you
- 7:45could you could make more money by having the title off of him
- 7:51like get beaten with Cody, make it make it a very hard kind of
- 7:56hard-fought seeing you can throw another story line stuff like
- 7:59people getting involved whatever but still have Cody decisively
- 8:03win. And then you start Paving the
- 8:06way for Wrestlemania, 40, give Roman a ton of time off, you
- 8:10know, because absence makes the heart grow fonder and then you
- 8:15start Paving the way for the rock Roman Reigns and you don't
- 8:18have to have a title involved and there you go.
- 8:20There's a main event for you and you can start building.
- 8:24You can still have your title match and everything.
- 8:29They're sometimes like that they'll bring the title into a
- 8:32match that doesn't need to happen.
- 8:33Like like the rock can see. Now when The Rock beat CM Punk,
- 8:39I think at the Royal Rumble pussy was a 2012.
- 8:42I think 2011 someone yeah. I think it was something like
- 8:44that and it was it was just not necessary.
- 8:47Yeah. It was fun because obviously CM
- 8:50Punk has a heel is money. It was fun stuff with the rocky
- 8:54was good but it just didn't need to happen or more.
- 8:58Recent example, Kevin Owens getting squashed by Goldberg and
- 9:02like 30 seconds or whatever it was That didn't exactly say
- 9:05those don't call vs. Kevin Owens was probably one of
- 9:07the best things I've ever seen at a WrestleMania.
- 9:10Excellent. Yeah I mean I was very
- 9:12apprehensive about Austin coming out over time and he looked he
- 9:18looked like he could go he could be a regular again.
- 9:21He looked so good. Yeah, I like this kind of this
- 9:25old fact, this this like cowboy coming out of retirement and
- 9:28kicking some ass kind of kind of Vibes, you know, I dig that you
- 9:32know, like like Austin is looking to come back and
- 9:34wrestle. He'll come back and kick your
- 9:35ass and maybe it belongs. Then weíll just come here
- 9:38looking for. I mean, like oh Kevin Owens is
- 9:41just so hideously underrated. He's I mean there's a couple of
- 9:45guys in that they've got. Now that just deserve so much
- 9:48more credit than they get like, Kevin Owens.
- 9:50Sami Zayn is a few like these guys Wyatt.
- 9:53I think he deserves another put a big push again.
- 9:57I think he's getting it as as I don't know what they're doing
- 10:00with this whole, there's no story.
- 10:04Go. How do I ever did he?
- 10:06Did you see? By the way, he completely missed
- 10:08his Target. There's a, there's a shot.
- 10:10There's a video where he could actually just a little, like,
- 10:13four feet away. He just, he just jumped a just
- 10:15did a shame McMahon and just jump through the fucking floor,
- 10:19just like for no reasons. Sacrifice that, you know, it is
- 10:25what it is, I guess. But yeah, lots of exciting
- 10:27things happening in WWE right now.
- 10:29What would you make of aw? So I feel like they've slipped.
- 10:32I don't watch, ew, honestly. I know I'm missing out on great
- 10:36entertainment but never never got into it.
- 10:39Just never really WCW was the thing I did.
- 10:42I was like I'm WWF all day. That's okay.
- 10:45Steam Punk coming back or Bryan Danielson wrestling or they
- 10:52still have some big much stuff here and there.
- 10:54Yeah I guess I just never I don't have regular cables,
- 10:58what's up? It's like it's like I don't have
- 11:01to admit, like, I'm not annoying.
- 11:02I don't watch it as regular. As I'd like to no, I mean, watch
- 11:06a lot of highlight stuff on likely to report.
- 11:08I'll watch like the high watch. Just the one match or if I see a
- 11:11clip of Imagine them interested, I'll go watch that episode so I
- 11:16can watch the full match whatever they like because I
- 11:21don't get it twisted. I love Logan Paul.
- 11:22I think that guy. Yeah.
- 11:24Perfect for the wa I think he is the perfect face.
- 11:28I bet you. He buys the WWE at this point.
- 11:31I mean Jesus what what has that guy not done, right?
- 11:34Like he's the owns companies, he owns this.
- 11:37He does that she's just about Logan pool.
- 11:40I got an idea for you. I've been thinking about this.
- 11:42Like what about the idea of having like a celebrity
- 11:48Championship League. Something specific like, I don't
- 11:50know like a widow. I don't know how this would go
- 11:52but like there seems to be a few people coming back here and
- 11:56there buddy, Logan, Paul, whatever, and they want to have
- 12:02more matches and you could kind of have them going off against
- 12:07each other. And therefore, you don't have
- 12:09you. I mean, you sacrifice time on
- 12:11the, on the widget, McCall, it on the card, but at the same
- 12:16time, you don't risk anyone. Janome like you don't have like
- 12:20Logan pool job and someone else out kind of think so.
- 12:23No one gets damaged from it because as much as I love to see
- 12:25local pool fight and to be fair he has put over like rains and
- 12:30whoever else but like it's just I don't know.
- 12:32I feel like we're celebrity wrestling.
- 12:34It's it's fun. It's a spectacle and wrestling
- 12:37is and has always been like a kind of like a buffet but at the
- 12:41same time I don't like it when they build up a guy and they
- 12:44kill their momentum because of this new Gaijin only like
- 12:48sometimes but I thought this stuff was Sami Zayn and Johnny
- 12:52Knoxville like it was fun but I feel like what Sam he's doing
- 12:57right now is a better use of his talents because he's so
- 13:00entertaining. He's got, he can do it, all you
- 13:02can be seriously microphone, you can actually he can perform at a
- 13:06high level. Yeah, that's the thing.
- 13:08It's like you forget he's so fantastic wrestler because he
- 13:10spends so much time doing promos game stories.
- 13:14Yeah it's that. Oh yeah shit.
- 13:15Yeah. He's a really good rest, early.
- 13:18Yeah, and then there's some people that just should never
- 13:20touch a mic just perform and then but yeah, no, I mean I
- 13:24think that'd be a good idea to have like a celebrity spin-off
- 13:27type thing. Yeah, I don't know what that are
- 13:28you making a pay-per-view? Yeah, I mean, I think about, I
- 13:32think about it like this, right? There's a lot of celebrities
- 13:34right now that are doing like the exhibition boxing, right?
- 13:39We're like they got back that they talking trash on Twitter
- 13:42and then they settle it on there.
- 13:44Hmm, that's a perfect Avenue for WWE to just scoop up.
- 13:47Up and say, Hey, listen, I know that you you, you know, may not
- 13:50like each other, but let's make some money and let's put on a
- 13:53show and let's make it a real show.
- 13:55We'll rehearse it. There you go.
- 13:59I think it's a great idea. Yeah, object-ball Paul, Jay,
- 14:02Paul needs to get knocked out somewhere where Jake poo is
- 14:05money. He is money.
- 14:09Come on. You can't tell me.
- 14:10He wouldn't he be like the best heel of all time if you came and
- 14:12double oh my God, if he went to WWE.
- 14:14Oh, you know what? You know what?
- 14:16This should be number. One, number one, goal for we
- 14:21sign Conor McGregor and Son, Jake.
- 14:23Paul just sign the two of them, and let just give the
- 14:27microphones and let them do what they do best.
- 14:30We'll finally have KS o IJ pool because if it's not us, that's
- 14:34just dying to happen and I wish Happen.
- 14:37It's just driving me nuts. It hasn't happened yet.
- 14:40Big boss fight and soon, right. He's fighting that Tommy Fury.
- 14:42Finally. Yeah.
- 14:44But I don't know. I feel like that both docking
- 14:45each other. We're just making us wait on
- 14:47purpose but the fight was named for thing that I think it's next
- 14:51month. Or is it this month, the 24th
- 14:5425th? Something like that?
- 14:55That would be a good fight. But I think probably still
- 14:59fighting real boxers where he never will though because he
- 15:03would get knocked out. That's what he's fighting, this
- 15:06case UFC fighter, 40 year old guys.
- 15:08It realistically, if he would fight another Boxer, he would
- 15:12get knocked out or he will either.
- 15:14Okay? In fairness the Jake, I think he
- 15:16could maybe be competitive. He could maybe last a few rounds
- 15:19but it's one thing to to box against other people with like,
- 15:24you know similar experience to it's another thing to then go
- 15:29into like this whole Sport and start, you know, fighting Some
- 15:35of the you know the most successful people who've been
- 15:37training all their life doing it.
- 15:40It's a very different thing you know.
- 15:43I mean like if you take Logan Paul with wrestling mat, one of
- 15:45the reasons why he's good. There's a few reasons.
- 15:48One, he grew up as an amateur wrestler, not many people know
- 15:52this, but he trained as an amateur wrestler.
- 15:54Secondly, he's got some of the world's best wrestlers of all
- 15:58time, helping him choreograph and train for every single match
- 16:02and that match he had with was a Roman Reigns.
- 16:06I think, In Crowd Jewel, whatever he had like Shawn
- 16:08Michaels, helping him a few other people, and they would
- 16:11like, with him for a whole month.
- 16:14I'm not taking anything away from Logan, but smoking his
- 16:16first match though, where he busted out the Three Amigos and
- 16:20the five-star frog Splash and like some people were like
- 16:23that's that's offensive. He shouldn't have done that.
- 16:25I'm like seeing him like this is amazing.
- 16:27He's pulling it off just as good as Eddie would have but he's
- 16:31bringing excitement. You can't tell me that anytime
- 16:34this man doesn't go and go into that ring.
- 16:37Everyone in the stadium, everyone watching at home is
- 16:40just sitting there. Like, what crazy shit is he
- 16:42gonna do next? Okay he's got it like what he
- 16:45did in Royal Rumble that top rope thing just saying that just
- 16:50to time that is so hard a strict.
- 16:52No it I love what he does. I think I'm just more kind of
- 16:57concerned about the regular competitors because much the
- 16:59same as part-time wrestlers that come in be and go away.
- 17:02It's the same principle. You know you got you got to look
- 17:05at like for instance it's one thing.
- 17:07Oh here's a Royal Rumble spot. Let's have some fun.
- 17:10Oh, here's a mid-match card whatever.
- 17:13Great like when when Logan was challenging for the title was of
- 17:17what like you know, I mean okay they had fun they they made the
- 17:20best of it but like I think Treat it for what it is.
- 17:25It's a spectacle, you know, it's the same as like having the
- 17:29Undertaker matches at WrestleMania, you know, it
- 17:31didn't really matter. Like like you knew that he was
- 17:35always going to win, but it was always going to be fantastic as
- 17:38a spectacle today. I mean, it was always good
- 17:40because you can think of it as like when Pat Mac, if he comes
- 17:42back, are Kool on the show? Yeah.
- 17:44You look, it's just fun. Just, you know, you're just
- 17:47getting pure entertainment and I think he's the best announcer
- 17:50I've ever heard. Yeah, it wa.
- 17:53But I love Jerry Lawler. I love, you know, what was it?
- 17:56Give him Rossman. Come on, I love them by Pat
- 18:00back. If he brings a realness, he
- 18:02makes it feel like it is reality.
- 18:04Like this is actually really happening.
- 18:07Well, I think it's always good to have that enthusiasm because
- 18:09he doesn't give a shit as much as the other guys.
- 18:11I think that will not to say, it doesn't they don't care but like
- 18:14they're very much in the system where his, he's like kind of the
- 18:18outside coming in. He's like and just having fun as
- 18:20you say. Yeah.
- 18:21And that's why it's more fun because He's like you just know
- 18:25like maybe they try and tell him what to do and he's just like oh
- 18:27yeah. Okay.
- 18:28Okay. And then just yeah, I'll do
- 18:30that. He was in a match to who did he
- 18:34fight in a match? Oh, God wrestle somebody. can't
- 18:40remember, um, Oh fuck. Oh my God it was a WrestleMania
- 18:45as well, wasn't it? Yeah.
- 18:49Austin mostly Theory. Austin Theory and he put on a
- 18:52great match. Yeah, I mean it's awesome Theory
- 18:54as well do like Austin makes everyone look amazing.
- 18:57Is this the kid that kid got that kids Got Talent and I
- 19:01understand why Vince love them so much and wanted to push him
- 19:04over so much because he could be the face.
- 19:06He will be. You just doesn't there's a few
- 19:09days a few people. Yeah they're not ready yet like
- 19:12just yesterday. Yet, but they're there might
- 19:14have been, okay, you got lost in theory, you got Bone Breaker
- 19:17right there. Those two.
- 19:19That's your WrestleMania Main Event in like, five years, girl,
- 19:24you know, because I don't why they're spending so much time
- 19:26with Brawn in that NXT. I guess they feel that he still
- 19:28needs more time but every time I see him I'm like this guy is
- 19:32just made for the main event, just put him on the fucking main
- 19:35roster. Already.
- 19:35What you doing? That's because Cody Cody no
- 19:38matter what, no matter what they want, Cody is pretty much the
- 19:41face right now. Yeah, butbut its Allure.
- 19:45They'll tell okay wrestling. As you know, as everyone else
- 19:48knows. It's all about storytelling.
- 19:49They'll tell the Cody story, right?
- 19:52And I think ideally it will end with him winning the
- 19:55championship then he'll have a rain.
- 19:57It doesn't really matter how long it lasts after that, you
- 20:00know, because the the it's always the chase.
- 20:02That's that's more exciting than the actual winning, you know,
- 20:05like when you want to have one, that's like, okay, whatever move
- 20:08on, but reality is because they don't really flip.
- 20:12Flop any more championships? He'll likely be Champion for at
- 20:15least the year, you know, and they'll have fun with it.
- 20:19And then I think probably the fans will turn on him at some
- 20:24point. And Cody I think by that point
- 20:27wouldn't mind because he's you know he's happy he's doing what
- 20:30he loves like he's more calm. He's more comfortable as a heel.
- 20:34I think like I know he wants to be a baby face but like he's
- 20:36more comfortable as a heel and that's just the reality of the
- 20:39situation. But yeah moving forward I mean
- 20:44it's he I think he could really help a lot of guys I think if
- 20:49you I mean, fuck. If we talk about Austin's doing
- 20:52maybe that's maybe that's the play Wrestlemania 40.
- 20:54There's a main event Cody or so dreary, that'd be a good
- 20:58storyline right there. The problem is, I can't take
- 21:01Cody seriously out of my, I'll come on, doesn't sound like a
- 21:05heel. He had the windows.
- 21:09I can't, I can't, I can't take him, seriously.
- 21:12It was terrifying because he could kill you.
- 21:15He didn't matter if he taught for the Lisbon didn't understand
- 21:17what he was saying. Well, the holiday, the whole
- 21:20thing with Cody is that like as a good guy, it's all emotion,
- 21:24which is perfect as a bad guy. It's kind of got that Miss Vibe,
- 21:30just acting like an arrogant prick.
- 21:32He's not supposed to be an intimidating.
- 21:34He'll he's supposed to be more of a can and annoying getting in
- 21:37your crawl. Kind of I've been, but he's not
- 21:40someone you would take lightly either, you know I mean where is
- 21:43like his is better at playing the chicken shit here.
- 21:45I feel like Cody's somewhere in the middle kind of like a.
- 21:48Seth Rollins feel The Seth Rollins.
- 21:51He was a good heel. I enjoyed him as a heel.
- 21:54Yeah. But I tried to make him a hero
- 21:55again but the fans just love him too much.
- 21:57See the thing with Seth though is that my meaning day?
- 22:01No disrespect to Cody but Seth is an amazing wrestler.
- 22:04Like yes. No good that like him as a heel
- 22:10and hit you by the fact that he could kick your ass.
- 22:12Like let's say, you put Reigns up at Roland's Up Against rains,
- 22:16right? Generally you'd think OK rains
- 22:20are win this. You never 100% sure because it's
- 22:23Rollins like he'll, he's a competitor which I think
- 22:26changes. It was Cody, is more kind of
- 22:30pasta words. You know, boat straight to
- 22:34coming for the word like a basic wrestler, like a
- 22:38straightforward. Like if you're gonna put the
- 22:40Prototype of what a wrestler is, that's what it looks like.
- 22:43During just straight forward. To the point, get the emotions,
- 22:46get the crowd going, you know, all that we completely went off.
- 22:50Off the rails on. No, I'll do it.
- 22:52I could talk wrestling. All daddy, took me for a loop.
- 22:56I was like, I have no idea what we're talking about on this.
- 22:58This, when I get on the show here we just rolled them WWE.
- 23:02Well, I mean, I've got research on you.
- 23:05Oh, okay. So chain you.
- 23:07All right? But, you know, I always do my
- 23:09research on my guests, but I like to kind of just have a more
- 23:12relaxed Vibe and approach to it. So, but it depends, it depends
- 23:17on my guess, though. You know, they like some guests.
- 23:22It kind of comes across more formal.
- 23:23So I try to step up my game a little bit and try to be a bit
- 23:26more formal. And you know, work with that
- 23:29other guests are a bit more laid back.
- 23:30And well, no, it's it's not every guest, kind of like
- 23:36Portrays who they are and I do my, my role, I feel is to adapt
- 23:41to that, you know, because I don't want to try and makes, I
- 23:45want people to feel comfortable when they come on the show and
- 23:49an often like you've got different options either.
- 23:52You're telling the story of that person and who they are and what
- 23:55they're about. And in that you advertise that
- 23:58person or you, just talk about certain topics, you know,
- 24:03whatever. And I I feel that's that's
- 24:06always when podcast is at its best when it's natural when it
- 24:09just flows naturally. Like I don't know, when I
- 24:12decided to do this, I think it was probably within the first
- 24:14year, like a lot of the tight. Like I always have notes, here's
- 24:19a whole sheet of notes about you, right?
- 24:22He's and sometimes I won't even look at that in all honesty.
- 24:25It depends on how the show goes. Yeah.
- 24:29Why not? I'm sure.
- 24:30Is, what do you know about me? I'm curious have to say it
- 24:33because our conversations prior to the show have been minimal.
- 24:36So I'm curious to see what is the internet told you about me.
- 24:40Okay, well, the first thing I found is that you have a show
- 24:44called hip to the game. Do you still have the shades?
- 24:49And so let's talk about why I got canceled so it's not
- 24:53canceled, it just got rebranded. So hip to the game was a great
- 24:57idea, it was hip hop and sports and I'm Avid hip-hop person.
- 25:03I love all hip-hop except a lot of the new stuff so it gives me
- 25:07a good counter argument to some of the newer stuff that has come
- 25:10out. Mike.
- 25:12I was trying to find a co-host for a while I said mister we've
- 25:16actually met on Reddit. I think that's where I actually
- 25:18found your post and I posted it on Facebook as well and my
- 25:23buddy, a good friend of mine. Colin he goes, I would love to
- 25:26be part of the show. I'm about to be here cause I'm
- 25:28like, sweet. We have, I've had conversations
- 25:31with him, he's through the bartender at a bowling alley.
- 25:33I used to bowl at else who used to talk all the time.
- 25:36I'm like, all right, our banter would be good.
- 25:38That's what I want. I want some good back and forth.
- 25:41Talk. I was like, how do you know what
- 25:43do you think about, hip-hop? He goes, I love, I love wrap up.
- 25:46Okay, we did two episodes. This man knows nothing about
- 25:51rap, the history of rap. He knows nothing about classic
- 25:55artists who knows nothing about the difference between beats
- 25:58between trap beats and breakbeats.
- 26:00And I'm just it turned into me teaching him every week and I'm
- 26:04like I can't do this. I don't want to teach you.
- 26:07Okay. Was it?
- 26:08What was the first question when you when you were little?
- 26:10Oh like what was it when you were like oh this is this is a
- 26:13problem. He doesn't know jack shit like
- 26:15first first Question that you ask well what was the name of
- 26:17your top? The top 10 best rap artists of
- 26:20all time. That's hip-hop artist of all
- 26:22time and he put an F would entertain like, you know, you
- 26:26know what enough is, right? Like he has like three songs
- 26:28that ever got popular, the sad kid that raps about, oh, mme
- 26:32nice, MF Doom is that they don't know and enough.
- 26:35Okay? And F.
- 26:36Yes, it seems sad because like, you don't even know like, you
- 26:38know, I'm like I know who he is because I study hip hop and
- 26:41like, here, I hear what his messages is great.
- 26:43Its mental health awareness and I'll sweep off like that and I
- 26:46respect it but as one of the greatest artists in history, I
- 26:50was like, how do you, how do you not MF Doom made my list most
- 26:54def Talib Lee frickin Rock him, like some of the best names, and
- 26:58I'm like, yeah, dude, I can't, I can't talk.
- 27:00We can't do this anymore and if you stay because like, you must
- 27:04have like a basic like, no. I mean, I'm not, I'm not, I love
- 27:07hip-hop and rap. I wouldn't call myself an
- 27:10expert, but I could make, I could name ten quite
- 27:12comfortably. I think, like some good hip-hop
- 27:14like true lyricists. A Jurassic 5, maybe or fucking,
- 27:20I don't know. I don't know that enough.
- 27:30And there are like mainstream, you know, most laugh and Talib
- 27:35Kweli not so much. I mean, they're there, right
- 27:37there, Legends in the game. Like I say no.
- 27:40I say most definite, our colleague because black star was
- 27:43the name of their hip hop group. They came out with one album and
- 27:46they were immediately nullified as one of the greatest CEO ever
- 27:50do it in underground hip hop now Rakim.
- 27:53Yes, because he's kind of the Is for every favorite rapper.
- 27:56I through Big Pun in there, through Big L in there you know.
- 27:59Mobb Deep was a notable mention for me and I'm like, you know
- 28:02Moby Dick is any of these people?
- 28:04He he picked Mac Miller to as like the best rapper of all
- 28:07time. But yeah, dude, like mac was
- 28:09great, don't get it twisted. But like, I love Mac Miller, I
- 28:13listen to him every day but to say he's one of the greatest,
- 28:16you're gonna put him over Wu-Tang, you're gonna put him
- 28:18over, you know? It's a male melon, melon buries
- 28:21him all the time. Yes.
- 28:25What happened was? We ended up going to record
- 28:27another episode and I sat here and I'm like, dude, I have
- 28:31nothing to talk to you about about this.
- 28:33He's like, well, what do you mean?
- 28:34I'm like, I can't really have debates and discussions with you
- 28:37on if this is a great album. If what was what did you think
- 28:40about this bar, right? You know what did you take from
- 28:43the message of this song? There's like cuz you're not
- 28:45understanding it from this point of view, you're just listening
- 28:48to it for the beat. That's right.
- 28:51As I'm clearly stating because like I gay.
- 28:55I asked him. Why was Mac Miller like your
- 28:57favorite rapper? I was what was the best rap line
- 29:00he ever ever did and he's did the something, you know, the
- 29:04hipster, girl, I can make your hipster line.
- 29:07I'm like, that's the worst line I've ever heard and Hip-Hop.
- 29:11I was like little pump has said better things than that.
- 29:14Oh that's that's it in so bad. That's a fucking it.
- 29:17So right now, yeah, I love Mac but let's be honest is their
- 29:19system wasn't talking pumps rapping about like fucking balls
- 29:22off. So some Some random shit.
- 29:25And so, I love Lisa instead of recording an episode, we sat
- 29:30down and we were like, let's change the direction of this.
- 29:33Let's let's chuckle show and now it's called.
- 29:37NFA the NFA pop. This is this is the yeah.
- 29:41Which what does it stand for. By the way, nobody fucking
- 29:44asked. Yes.
- 29:47And it's exactly what you think it is.
- 29:49It's the podcast that nobody fucking asked like we just get
- 29:54honestly, we get really stoned. And we just start having
- 29:57discussions about random things like next week's or like one of
- 30:02our episodes is going to be 90. We had a 90s episode that's
- 30:04gonna be dropping Hollis on and we're just discussing like some
- 30:08of our favorite things and just arguing like the last episode we
- 30:12found out, he ate Plato as a kid.
- 30:14He's like you didn't eat Play-Doh.
- 30:16No, I didn't even place. What do you mean you, do you
- 30:18play that next week? It's, you know, would you rather
- 30:22questions? Like would you rather this or
- 30:24that? And then I have debates are at
- 30:26again when we're doing this, we're inebriated beyond belief.
- 30:29Like I have this little pain here.
- 30:31That's worth as 98%. A good.
- 30:34Has it done? It is before we go on from food,
- 30:37we go on, I feel like we're doing.
- 30:39Would you rather zon a podcast is like the death of a podcast,
- 30:44man? Come on.
- 30:46For the podcast and death of a podcast.
- 30:48I'm okay. Nobody people know this right?
- 30:49But prior to me doing the Christian Reef podcast because
- 30:52there's like a hundred ninety five episodes now.
- 30:54Right? So I started it in summer of
- 30:582020 before that I did a show called it was always a cup of
- 31:03tea TR Jets at some shit. It was with two friends that I
- 31:08met online and we lost about seven episodes and two of those
- 31:12episodes were, would you rather as and the final episode was a,
- 31:14would you rather and it's Like I feel like that there's there's
- 31:17like a there's a common and with a lot of podcasts that aren't
- 31:22doing what I no offense. This is, this is just a friendly
- 31:25bit of advice or its don't take this the wrong way, but it's
- 31:27like when you see certain podcast like if they run out of
- 31:31ideas or it's not going well, they start doing.
- 31:33Would you rather as and don't get me wrong, I think I've seen
- 31:35some good examples of it used so it's not like it's a bad idea
- 31:39per se, but it's like I feel like it's always better when you
- 31:43get to know the people on the show.
- 31:45Like I feel like the more interesting stuff is about you
- 31:48and your co-host and finding out about oh no, this is the
- 31:51questions. So I didn't pick my generic,
- 31:55would you rather? Okay, I pick stuff too, because
- 31:58my idea of this episode and we haven't recorded yet.
- 32:01I just came up with the idea yesterday when I was texting him
- 32:04and I was coming up with these randomly while I was at work.
- 32:08And We're going to get to know, well, I'm gonna get to know him
- 32:13on a different level. Again, I already found out.
- 32:15He ate Plato as a child, so, is that right?
- 32:18Sheriff? There's so many questions, and
- 32:23so we're going to be taking it and the following me.
- 32:25So, the good news, the good thing about our show, there's no
- 32:28real structure to it whatsoever. It's kind of just week, it's
- 32:33stoned thoughts. That's what it is.
- 32:35So, we come up with a topic, we get really baked and then we
- 32:39just Talk about it and sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's not
- 32:43so far, I mean like we've only done I think two or three
- 32:45episodes, we're averaging like 30 listens to episode right off
- 32:50the rip, that's weird to me, ever for him.
- 32:53Never having a show for, you know, us do it.
- 32:56And I've yelled at him about this is I told like for me, for
- 32:59the show, little bit about me, I do all the producing, I do all
- 33:01the video editing, I do all the sound sound engineering, I do
- 33:04all that stuff and I do all the publishing of it.
- 33:06I take care of all of it. I pay for all the stuff I pay
- 33:08for zoom. Do all that crazy stuff.
- 33:11All I asked for him, just make tick-tocks.
- 33:14I don't care about anything else.
- 33:15Just make, take that, ya know, he hasn't made a single one yet.
- 33:20So I'm a little happy that we actually have and we're
- 33:22averaging, you know, 30, right now, stay sanae.
- 33:24So rich, that's right. Okay, credit, where credit's?
- 33:28True. That's amazing.
- 33:29Right off the bat like to only be a few episodes in.
- 33:31You got 30 lessons but I've been doing the podcast in any three
- 33:34years and I struggle to get that many like it's, it's and I get
- 33:38it. I know how much Effort and time
- 33:40goes into it. Like he bust you.
- 33:41Right? Like there's this is the thing
- 33:42people don't always realize about podcasting is like so much
- 33:46of your time is spent editing publishing.
- 33:49Like all this this this right now is the fun part afterwards,
- 33:53if a sit-down and fucking edit this shit and it's like, like
- 33:56one thing I start to do now is I like queue it up and I get it
- 34:00like processing and stuff and then I edit later Germans like
- 34:03Monday is generally my podcast, drop date and I'm that's when
- 34:07I'll do my editing. Like they can fucking wait for
- 34:09now, but it's like, man, like that.
- 34:13That is that made her get stuck in my craw, it really does.
- 34:16I made the mistake my first time doing the podcast, my original
- 34:19podcast was called, it is a pod. You guys won't find any videos
- 34:23on it. You won't find it is.
- 34:26Okay. We had a lot of stuff on there.
- 34:28That was a We could get cancelled very quickly.
- 34:33Just this stuff that was discussed.
- 34:36I think to we were planning to get a hooker on the show at one
- 34:39point in time. It was Howard Stern.
- 34:43So Jesus ridiculous. But so like I made the mistake
- 34:48last time that we were talking about current events tough
- 34:50because we were like we want to jump on Like Trains.
- 34:54Yeah. So like I forgot what movie came
- 34:55out. A Spider-Man man, Spider-Man
- 34:56came out. We came out with an episode.
- 34:59The Very Next day, reviewing, the move with full spoilers.
- 35:03So right as you let people, let's get the click bait.
- 35:07That was our plan. But the problem is the stress of
- 35:10put on me, was I'd be editing the moment I was done recording.
- 35:14Yeah. And I don't know about you, but
- 35:15after like an hour an hour and a half of doing an episode, your
- 35:18kind of drain, you're just like, I don't want to do anymore, I
- 35:22want to go over likes. The problem I find is is is like
- 35:28ìokay I love Doing the show because I get to talk to all
- 35:32these different people and go. You know?
- 35:35I mean, I've been doing it. Yeah.
- 35:37As I say, nearly three years now, I've got like a vibe that
- 35:40way when you said about having no structure before, as I,
- 35:43that's what I that's my idea of a nightmare.
- 35:45I don't know if like the universe has sent you to me to
- 35:48like, stress me the fuck out, but I have to have structure
- 35:53after I've already here but yeah, no, you're right.
- 35:56I mean, it's it, it's a slog. Once you get into it, it's fine.
- 36:00But I think one of the things that kind of drains me is
- 36:03because I'll sit back and watch the show and like I kind of try
- 36:06to skip forward I try. And remember, you know, like
- 36:08okay, here's something that was interesting.
- 36:10Here's something that's not but sometimes like I'll leave
- 36:14something like to give you an example.
- 36:16I have another show that I do for my patreon - is basically a
- 36:19podcast shut up. It's called life with Christian
- 36:22wreath. So go check it out.
- 36:23Patreon.com/crashcourse, we've got the plug-in.
- 36:26I haven't edited yet, then the latest episode, I've Recorded
- 36:30it, it's just sitting there. And I'm just like, because when
- 36:34you leave it for a few days, you forget about what you spoke
- 36:37about, right for the most part, and then you sit down, and then
- 36:40you've really got sit and, and like, just go for it.
- 36:43So I feel like it's always better to edit straight away
- 36:46because you can kind of remember like, okay, here are the points
- 36:49where I can clip up and stuff, but another problem with doing
- 36:53it all yourself, which I'm sure you can appreciate.
- 36:55Is that like You go over what you think is a good clip, what
- 37:00you think, will ban, what will be interesting.
- 37:02But it's your perspective, because there might be something
- 37:05else in there, that would do way, better be really
- 37:07interesting and it's like, it's, I mean, it's all a gamble.
- 37:12Like, I've, I've had some clips in the past, get, you know, some
- 37:17attention here and there. But for the most part, they get
- 37:19like zero views and that's the kind of the, the real pain of it
- 37:23is that your work and work and work and you're busting your
- 37:25ass. And it's going Nowhere.
- 37:27And it's tough sometimes it's brutal.
- 37:30But then you have like the spikes.
- 37:32If you go back and look at the views on my show.
- 37:34You'll notice that certain episodes have like tons of views
- 37:37and some episodes Have Nothing. Well, there'll always be some of
- 37:40these but it'll be like noticeable drops.
- 37:44Yep. And it's good.
- 37:45It's a rough one. I really it's, it's funny
- 37:48because I still have my my the podcast for What's it called?
- 37:57It is a part. I still have all the stuff for
- 37:59YouTube because we did video and we did, you know, audio as well.
- 38:04And we had a guy that did all of our social media and he would
- 38:10make toxin do all this stuff for us.
- 38:12I'm looking at it here and I'm like, there was ones that I
- 38:14made, and there were like 200 views, 300 views, and then the
- 38:18ones he made 4,000 views by the thousands of years and I'm like,
- 38:23Yeah, I don't realize so that's why I went into this thing
- 38:26because what you said is like when you're doing this and you
- 38:30you must've called you have your own perception and you have to
- 38:34re-watch it yourself. And you try to remember the best
- 38:37part about being so baked and stoned.
- 38:40When you do this, is that when I go back to watch it, I don't
- 38:43remember what the hell I said, because the next day I'll come
- 38:47in. I'm like, holy shit.
- 38:48We talked for 15 minutes about poop.
- 38:52And it's like, okay well that's actually kind of funny.
- 38:55And that'll bring my wife in here too and we'll sit down and
- 38:57I'll have her. Listen, I can't.
- 38:59I'm pretty sure did Factory really funny.
- 39:01Does she just stand the judge and you go in like a you an
- 39:03idiot or will the fuck you talkin of always this?
- 39:06She always she like. Yeah, that's honestly how I got
- 39:09my wife. I that's why I took it.
- 39:13Do you good looking or being in great shape, having Rippling ABS
- 39:16or anything? It was just, I was funny.
- 39:18I had my pick up lines of the way I explain myself.
- 39:22Off to my wife when I first met her was.
- 39:25Because after you know, when you start talking with a girl, you
- 39:27start talking about sex at some point, right?
- 39:29You have to it's you have to know if you're compatible as we
- 39:33were talking about it and she was like, well how would you
- 39:35describe your sex? I'm like, mediocre dick, A1 A1
- 39:39had game. That's where I'm at.
- 39:41And she fell, read it, she bought it and now we're married
- 39:46and you know, we've been together for how many years and
- 39:50it's a worked out. Would you say is the secret?
- 39:54It's set the bar really low because most guys are going to
- 39:57go out there but I got a big dick.
- 39:59Yeah, my dick huge my fucking shit out your ground like
- 40:02listen, it's not I'm half asian. Let's not get too excited about
- 40:07it. It's not I'm not going to sit
- 40:08here but my tongue does wonderful things.
- 40:11I'm from New York, we talk fast so the tongue that's quicker,
- 40:14it's a cultural thing, good. This is definitely not PG,
- 40:18episode. Sorry guys.
- 40:23You're the one that asked me is anything off limits?
- 40:25I'm like oh okay great your fault the best part is I'm not
- 40:31even Stone so like when I'm Stone it's even worse.
- 40:35So you've been with your wife if he is.
- 40:38Now what would you say is like the secret to keep an interest
- 40:40in keeping it together? Keeping it successful oh keeping
- 40:43a relationship successful. We have a great base of
- 40:47communication. We're our mentality, and it's
- 40:53kind of a it's silly. But like, one thing that I
- 40:57respect is she's actually had a couple of her friends come up to
- 41:00her and say, Hey, you know, Zack is a great guy.
- 41:04I love talking with him, but he's the kind of guy that you
- 41:07don't want to fuck around and find out and he'll leave it out
- 41:09there for you to find out if you want it.
- 41:12And we both understand our mentality of, we know what was
- 41:17it, like, we know our temper levels like Right?
- 41:20We don't want to find out the bullshit.
- 41:22So we just fucking get right to the nitty-gritty.
- 41:24If there's a problem, we sit down, we talk about it.
- 41:27But most of the time, we try to live in the moment.
- 41:29We try to enjoy each other's time.
- 41:30We try to have fun one thing actually, what probably help.
- 41:36When I first met her. My best friend had just passed
- 41:38away, one of my best friend's, he took his own life and I was
- 41:42in a real dark place at that time.
- 41:46Not really dark as I was a whore.
- 41:48So okay, you know, we're going, we're ready off the PG level of
- 41:53your podcast. You want to hear the Panic is
- 41:55what led up to me. Meeting my wife because we were
- 41:59not supposed to be together. This was not supposed to happen,
- 42:02go through. My original plan was when my
- 42:06best friend passed, I actually thought to myself.
- 42:08What was the only reason why I wasn't because he lived in
- 42:10Florida at the time was what was the reason why I haven't gone
- 42:12down there to meet him, go to hang out with him or to just
- 42:15talk to him to be there as a friend and I only do so much
- 42:18work, so I was like, all right, you know what?
- 42:20I'm moving down to Florida, I'm going to go back and hang out my
- 42:23boys. I can't, you know, I don't want
- 42:25this to happen to anyone at any one.
- 42:26Again, especially my friends and I want to be there for them.
- 42:31So we my plan was I was single. I was like, I'm going to fuck my
- 42:36way through the entirety of New England.
- 42:39I'm going to hook up with any girl.
- 42:41Every girl, I, I want I'm gonna try it and tell you this was a
- 42:48PG fucking disclaimer, at the beginning of this.
- 42:51But, like, yes, ago, I listened to the recording this episode is
- 42:55not meant for children. Please, if you are a child turn
- 42:58this off right now but we, we, I'm into paying for Tender and I
- 43:06went on a date with this African-American woman and I've
- 43:09never been on a date with an afro american girl before it was
- 43:12I've never dated a black biker before and I was excited.
- 43:15I was like, you know, this is it's a whole I loved.
- 43:17I loved by culture, I grew up in the Bronx like I grew up around
- 43:21black culture and I was like I don't know go on a date with
- 43:23this girl nothing to do with race to just dry piece of paper.
- 43:29Like you left this piece of paper in the Sun for 13 weeks.
- 43:32In the Sahara Desert, it was just dried toast.
- 43:35And she was just not, she was so dumb.
- 43:38And she was not entertaining. And he said, I couldn't have a
- 43:40conversation with her. One of the question she asked
- 43:43me, was what's the difference between a manual car, in an
- 43:46automatic car? I'm like ones manual.
- 43:51The other one does it automatically, but she's
- 43:55trolling. She's trolling.
- 43:56No, don't do this. That sincerity she--'cause.
- 43:58She and she went for it. But what is it?
- 44:00What what does it do? Automatically and I'm like,
- 44:03howdy. And we went to a house party
- 44:17which was terrible. It was just in the backyard and
- 44:19all they have with sparklers. And I'm like, this is not a
- 44:22house party on Fourth of July, this is atrocious and then, and
- 44:25then she's like, oh, we're going to a bar afterwards.
- 44:27You want to come with me? And I'm like, She goes, well, I
- 44:31got my friends coming, and I'm thinking to myself, oh, who are
- 44:34your friends? So she shows me a picture and I
- 44:36see her friend. Her friends, really cute little
- 44:39Hispanic girl. And I'm like, oh cool.
- 44:42Yeah I'll go. So I called my roommate at the
- 44:46time. Shout out to shout out to Xylo,
- 44:49sounds a little plug in there for him, check him out on a
- 44:52tick, tock Spotify and he's a music producer and he hit him up
- 44:58and I'm like y'all. Do you want?
- 44:59Mothers Club. There's a couple girls, you
- 45:01know, whatever. When he gets there, the two
- 45:04girls going to the bathroom. I tell him.
- 45:06This is so terrible. I'm such a bad person.
- 45:08I'm like, Hey, listen, I came to the bar with this girl.
- 45:11I don't like her. If you think she's cute and want
- 45:13to hook up with her, you should go talk to her.
- 45:14I want to talk to the friend. Oh my God, had to do the old,
- 45:19Switcheroo on them and it didn't work.
- 45:21He ended up hooking up with a friend.
- 45:23So I bring her home and she gives me all the cues that she
- 45:27wants to sleep with me. She like you want to come
- 45:28upstairs. Your brother.
- 45:30She's like, oh, you know, I want to watch a scary movie and
- 45:33cuddle and I'm like, I don't don't want to do that at all.
- 45:38And literally she opens the door.
- 45:40She does. He want to come up and I'm like,
- 45:42nope, I grabbed the door and shut it on her.
- 45:44She walks away the most literal. She hasn't even walked four feet
- 45:47from my car and I open up tender, there's my wife, I use
- 45:50my super like from Tinder on there because I paid for it and
- 45:54then the next day meeting her started talking and now The
- 45:58three years later and then apparently for her, she had just
- 46:01got out of a relationship and she was trying to have a hot
- 46:03girl summer and just fuck around with different guys.
- 46:06And I was the only guy she hooked up with that summer.
- 46:08I ruined it. I didn't even ask her out.
- 46:10I told her I was like, you know, we're dating now, right?
- 46:12Like this is, what's happening. How long does it take before you
- 46:16allow your with dating, but we talked online for about two
- 46:21weeks, like almost talked on like FaceTime and we talked to
- 46:25stuff like that. And I planned a whole weekend to
- 46:28come out because she wouldn't drive out to me.
- 46:30This makes sense, if you're a female listening, don't drive
- 46:32out to random strangers in random Town.
- 46:34Yeah. That's of course, that's
- 46:35dangerous. We don't do that.
- 46:37What point, in case, 10? But Ted Bundy, just don't do
- 46:40those things. Yeah, and so we I got a hotel
- 46:44room. I went to the town.
- 46:46She was in, put the whole weekend up there and it was the
- 46:49first night Which doesn't really say much, because within five
- 46:53minutes of us eating each other. We went to the hotel room.
- 46:55Did the dirty? And then we went to dinner and I
- 46:57told her were dating now, Just just laying down the law, I
- 47:03guess. Yeah, I don't understand.
- 47:07I was like, yeah, we're dating. I hope you're okay with that.
- 47:09She was like, um, okay. Like yep.
- 47:11No, it's happening. It's there.
- 47:13And I just had four years later an hour.
- 47:16Don't even get me started on my engagement.
- 47:18Playing that guy completely destroyed, but I proposed to
- 47:20her. Oh my god.
- 47:21Dude was five planes. I got ruined back to back to
- 47:24back. Okay, you have for know this,
- 47:26you have to tell us know you put up, you have to go.
- 47:31So we had planned. It was a.
- 47:35What year was it? We got married last year so it's
- 47:382021 education. We had a plan to go to Montana
- 47:42to look to go to go hiking and there's this beautiful.
- 47:45Beautiful mountain with like these beautiful sunsets and
- 47:49scenery and my wife very much, she loves like all the stones
- 47:53like all. Like they do the Jade's and
- 47:55courts and Moon Stones and all those kinds of things.
- 48:00So I've made the idea in my head that we're going to Montana.
- 48:03This is the perfect place to propose to somebody.
- 48:06If you don't take advantage of this beautiful scenery that to
- 48:09propose to somebody, you're dumb and I was like, she sent me
- 48:12before we die. I proposed her, she would send
- 48:14me engagement ring. So, I always had an idea of what
- 48:17together was not to. Give her.
- 48:19Give me the insinuation of I want to get married, but if
- 48:22you're gonna do it, do it right? And get this kind of ring, is
- 48:25that it? When I hate the ring, you get
- 48:26me? Luckily for me, she's not a
- 48:29diamond girl. She hates diamonds for good
- 48:31cause they kill people. The people literally die in the
- 48:35process of getting those. Yeah, so she sent me one.
- 48:38That was a Montana Sapphire and I'm like, little light bulb went
- 48:43off and I'm like Montana, Sapphire, Montana, good idea.
- 48:49So I get the ring. I had this whole plan to do
- 48:51like, you know, to go on a hike. I wasn't.
- 48:54Let her friends know the day of I was in a do all these things.
- 48:58And two weeks before we leave for Montana, there is wildfires
- 49:01in America and Montana is on fire.
- 49:04So the trip gets cancelled. Now she's all upset because one
- 49:08it was our you know it was a it was a vacation that we had
- 49:10planned and we were so excited and on the flip side there's me
- 49:13panicking like what the fuck do I do now?
- 49:17And yeah so I'm like All right. You know what?
- 49:19I told us already took the time off from work.
- 49:21Let's go to New York. Let's spend and, you know, day
- 49:23in New York City, you know, and we'll go do all the sightseeing
- 49:26stuff. Let's go to the World Trade
- 49:27Center. Let's go to Central Park.
- 49:28Let's go to this Museum, I'm thinking my head.
- 49:31All right, I was, I was in New York kid.
- 49:33When 9/11 happened World Trade Center was very important to me.
- 49:35I had a lot of emotional things. I have an immense fear of
- 49:39heights. I don't like heights.
- 49:41I was like, let's go to the Top of the World Trade Center and
- 49:44I'll do it up there. Overlooking.
- 49:45New York City. It will be a beautiful scenery,
- 49:48it's awesome. So we go to New York or walking
- 49:51around were having a good time. Finally.
- 49:52Get to the point where like I let's go to the World Trade
- 49:54Center now my heart's racing, I'm getting all nervous, I know
- 49:57what's coming, we get out of the cab and she looked right up.
- 50:00Oh this is where my friend got proposed to by that asshole.
- 50:05Now, the ass, I'm not saying names for reasons, but her
- 50:08friend got proposed to by a guy, they weren't they were engaged,
- 50:12he cheated on her. I couldn't even think I think
- 50:15there was I think he cheated on her more times and there are
- 50:18u.s. presidents. She is.
- 50:20So yeah, and I'm like I can't be associated with this man and
- 50:25propose her in the same place, he did this.
- 50:28So we get up to the top. My legs are shaking my.
- 50:30I'm feeling light on my I'm afraid of heights.
- 50:33She goes in the bathroom. I call her best friend up and
- 50:35I'm like, she ruined it. She says, like this person got
- 50:38proposed to here, I don't know what to do and she was like, I'm
- 50:41sure you'll figure it out. All right, I'm kind of thinking
- 50:44my brain. I'm in New York, it's happening
- 50:46today. I'm not taking this chance.
- 50:48We're going to go to Bryant Park.
- 50:49Bryant Park is a beautiful Park in New York City, beautiful
- 50:52again, nice Greenery buildings around whatever we take a cab to
- 50:56there and I play it off like oh, I want to It's out of haven't
- 50:58been to Bryant Park in years. Let's just stop off there and
- 51:00walk around a little more. She was fine.
- 51:02We go there. I'm sorry.
- 51:04Before that I was not doing at dinner or trying to find a nice
- 51:07Italian restaurant. No one nice.
- 51:08Italian restaurant had any seedings.
- 51:10We sat at a shitty Italian restaurant.
- 51:11Like that one's out the window. So now, I'm like, Bryant Park,
- 51:14we get to Bryant Park. We walk up the stairs, over the
- 51:17hill and boom. There's a fucking concert with,
- 51:19like, 60,000 people there, right?
- 51:22And I'm like, dude, like fuck. I was like art.
- 51:25We're going to go to Times Square.
- 51:27I'll do it. It's so corny.
- 51:29It's so played out, but fuck it. I'm just gonna do it there now
- 51:32and trying to walk to Time Square and I was like, let's go
- 51:36to Times Square. When I hit one shop, whatever I
- 51:37think the MLB shop was that you some excuse?
- 51:40So we start walking towards there and she's like, you know
- 51:42what? My feet really hurt.
- 51:44I'm getting really tired. Can we just head home?
- 51:46now, Grand Central was the opposite direction, I'm like,
- 51:51And I have nowhere to do this. If I did, I can't do it in
- 51:54Grant. I'm not gonna Grand Central
- 51:55because it's dirty Grand, Central Station is disgusting.
- 51:59I was like, if I go to New York we can't go two times
- 52:01Corrections when I walk that way.
- 52:02So she's like, can we just sit down?
- 52:04We're literally outside of a Shake Shack, in some side street
- 52:08and I just get down on my knee. And I'm just like, I want to do
- 52:10this all day. Here it is.
- 52:12And I get down and her first response is not the typical.
- 52:15Oh my God. It's what the fuck are you
- 52:17doing? I had, I'm just like sitting
- 52:21there with this, in my head. I'm like, trying to ask you to
- 52:23marry me, I guess, but I handed to her, then, she started
- 52:27crying. And then said, yes.
- 52:28And I was like that when I fought when I, as we're walking
- 52:32back to the train station. Now, I told her my original
- 52:34plans for everything, And so she calls the friend that she
- 52:39referenced earlier about. Oh, this is where my friend got
- 52:43proposed to by that asshole, she calls her and she goes, oh, it
- 52:47wasn't the World Trade Center. That was in Chicago at the Sears
- 52:51Tower. Dude, my face, the LIE almost
- 52:57took the ring back. I was like, wait, what are you
- 52:59kidding me? Are you serious right now?
- 53:02That you didn't even have the right building?
- 53:06Not the right City, not the right State, not the right time
- 53:09zone. Looks like, ya know, like that's
- 53:18it, I'm not planning anything ever again.
- 53:21Because clearly it's just gonna get squashed we speaking.
- 53:25Speaking of planning, you should you sent this to me and the
- 53:30original messages. You said that you're getting
- 53:32married in Salem Massachusetts on Friday the 13th.
- 53:35But then you said earlier that you got married last year or so
- 53:38to in 2021. So we so what happened?
- 53:42So we're still doing that one at that wedding is still happening
- 53:45in Salem. Massachusetts on Friday, the
- 53:4713th. If y'all listen and come by come
- 53:49by for a party. Oh.
- 53:51Before we go on, why would you get married on Friday the 13th,
- 53:55bro, but what's come on? You know, I mean so Salem is
- 54:00known single match. I don't know if you know much
- 54:01about 2nd Massachusetts. Yeah, but for those who don't
- 54:04know, it's, you know, it's Salem, Witch Trials.
- 54:07It's you know, a lot of ghosts, it's like Halloween Town City of
- 54:12Love, really? I mean, I have a tombstone
- 54:16tattooed on me over here, I have Michael Myers and pumpkins and I
- 54:20already have Ouija boards and gravestones all the time we
- 54:23love, you know, witches and ghosts, and all that fun stuff.
- 54:28I've always loved that kind of stuff.
- 54:29And so does she so Salem was our first vacation we ever took
- 54:35together. So we decided to book it there
- 54:38because we got everything, we found, we go multiple times a
- 54:40year. It's our favorite place to go
- 54:44and it's a, it's not a haunted hotel and then, okay, Friday,
- 54:47the 13th was, we're in a spooky town, why wouldn't we just Take
- 54:51advantage of this, the scariest date that people are afraid of.
- 54:56But back on I was saying like reason we didn't want to wait
- 54:59two years for the tax breaks, we would get for being married.
- 55:06So, like a little bag, like, I run a car dealership.
- 55:08I'm the sales manager of the sales department at a car
- 55:11dealership, and I make decent money.
- 55:14But last year I pay, I would like six thousand dollars in
- 55:17taxes and I'm like, this sucks. The house is in her name and
- 55:20everything. She gets all the tax breaks,
- 55:22she's prior military, so more tax breaks and I'm like like why
- 55:25don't we just do a court wedding, take advantage of the
- 55:27tax break tax credits and then you know, we'll do our actual
- 55:31wedding in front of all our friends and family and do all
- 55:32that stuff as well. Yeah.
- 55:36Does there's a logical reason behind it all, so you can use
- 55:40the media but you still, you're still not selling me again.
- 55:43He didn't like a super scary place on a super scary day.
- 55:46Like, I hate, I guess you just this composer.
- 55:49Still, that's good. I mean, a little more personal
- 55:52about me is like, so like I'm, I guess I'll say that.
- 55:57I'm part of the, there's a, there's a religion here, must
- 56:01have religion because it's not necessarily religion.
- 56:03They don't believe in God's and stuff like that, but But I'm
- 56:05part of the satanic temple and there I know I just I just
- 56:09believe you back your brain just went what?
- 56:13It's not necessarily. I don't believe in Satan.
- 56:16Nobody in the church, quote-unquote believes in Satan.
- 56:22They're, they're, they're seen by the government as a church
- 56:25because they, you know, they don't pay taxes whatever and
- 56:27they're a non-profit, essentially it's more of an
- 56:29activist group. So, I don't know if you're
- 56:31familiar with some of the politics stuff that's going on
- 56:33in America right now. But they were trying to.
- 56:36Yeah, nobody. I live here and I don't even
- 56:38care enough about it but they're trying to ban abortions.
- 56:41Yeah, a lot of State fucking crazy.
- 56:43It's ridiculous. Yeah, like it's asinine, but the
- 56:48satanic temple. If you are a member you can seek
- 56:51religious freedom to do that because it's against a religion
- 56:54to ban that. So, when I saw what they were
- 56:59doing for people, And using somebody like Satan as a mascot
- 57:04to kind of Stick it to the Man. I was like, I'm interested in
- 57:07this and I watch the whole documentary on it.
- 57:09I visited the actual headquarters.
- 57:11I asked a lot of questions and I became a member and I learned
- 57:16that majority 99% of the people. There are actually atheists
- 57:19that, we don't believe in God. And I don't know, your religious
- 57:23beliefs, but most atheists, we don't get around and hang out
- 57:26together and be like, yeah, we don't believe in God together.
- 57:28Sweet. You know, like you think about
- 57:30it. There's Church.
- 57:31Everyone gets together to say, oh yeah, we all believe in god.
- 57:33Let's celebrate. Help us with me.
- 57:34Woo, there's not. Don't get together.
- 57:39It's like, you know, talk about being an atheist.
- 57:41So it was kind of a cool group. And to know everyone's all
- 57:44different, all different parts of the lgbtq all different kinds
- 57:48of backgrounds. And one of the guys, I was
- 57:50talking to an account, another person I was talking to was a
- 57:53doctor and I'm like, wow, it's just the broadness of this was
- 57:57really cool and to see people want to do things.
- 58:00The right way for people and to kind of challenge the
- 58:04establishment of that is the US government had on, because
- 58:08there's so many people in the United States that just say, oh,
- 58:11we're a God-fearing god-loving country, or whatever that is,
- 58:15mmm. No, we're not.
- 58:16We're a poly. Poly religious Nation, where you
- 58:21have Muslim Judaism Buddhism Islam, Catholicism,
- 58:26Christianity. There's so many different kinds.
- 58:28Here we are. America is the melting point.
- 58:30Pot. Right, there's so many
- 58:31different. There's so much diversity about
- 58:33America to say that we are a Christian Nation and always
- 58:37bothered me. And if I ever saw like the Ten
- 58:40Commandments on government property, I'm pissed.
- 58:42Because you're pushing burley's beliefs, that I don't personally
- 58:45believe in unto me. And that was one of the things
- 58:47that I love about the satanic temple is, they'll put, they'll
- 58:49call you right out on that, you know, the pet, the higher-ups,
- 58:52the people that are important, they'll do stuff like they tried
- 58:55to put a 7 foot bath Baphomet statue next to the Ten
- 58:59Commandments. And in time, that was placed on
- 59:02government property. And when they're, their argument
- 59:05was weird, you know, where a poly roly poly religious country
- 59:11or state or city, or whatever it is.
- 59:14There's no reason why Christianity should be put on
- 59:17government property and shown as the right rules or the right
- 59:20things to believe in. Yeah, but me being that be be
- 59:26following that a lot of these guys, we go like horror movies
- 59:29and stuff like that because that's our Mo, so being in this
- 59:32spooky stuff and I used to be a ghost hunter as well.
- 59:35I'm still kind of a ghost hunter Beacon of which one of the.
- 59:39One of the things that you said to me, you know, and I know the
- 59:42original show knows is that you've been haunted by a ghost
- 59:45for most of your life. Yeah.
- 59:47Um, about that, right? It's fun.
- 59:50Um, there was an episode of A to Z pod.
- 59:53Again, I it's unfortunate, I deleted it but in the middle of
- 59:56the video, I might have a book. I just have books and stuff
- 59:59behind me back here and randomly.
- 1:00:02I was talking about something on the show and a book just flew
- 1:00:05off the shelf towards me and I'm still talking.
- 1:00:08I just paid no mind to. I was like, you know, don't it
- 1:00:12stage face, right? I'm trying not to break
- 1:00:14character and stay focused when I'm talking my co-host just goes
- 1:00:17what the fuck. What was that?
- 1:00:19I'm like, I don't know. And I'm afraid to look around
- 1:00:22and see what it was. He was like, dude, a book just
- 1:00:24flew off your shelf. I'm like, yeah, um, when I was a
- 1:00:27kid, I apparently apparent my house.
- 1:00:30The house I grew up in was haunted.
- 1:00:32Well, my father came down and so I grabbed me for dinner, one
- 1:00:36time, and he heard me just like four years old.
- 1:00:39Three years old son, like that. I was running around laughing
- 1:00:41and playing my dad's like, you know, hey, come on.
- 1:00:43It's time for dinner and I wasn't listening and he came
- 1:00:46down. And I'll use like, you know,
- 1:00:48it's time for dinner. Come on, we gotta come up.
- 1:00:49And I'm like, where's the dog? You go, my dad's.
- 1:00:51Like, what what? We don't, we don't have a dog.
- 1:00:55And I'm like, well, no, there's the doggy in the old man, and my
- 1:00:58dad like God, take a cool. Go upstairs, please please, go
- 1:01:01upstairs. And then like, yeah, so I had
- 1:01:06that experience as a kid. I've had, there's just so many
- 1:01:09things. I mean there was a time just
- 1:01:13recently, my wife and I were on the couch we're watching TV.
- 1:01:16And she like, I might use the bathroom so I pause the show.
- 1:01:18She goes in the bathroom and she has a bathroom door closed and I
- 1:01:23am on my phone, you know, just like you do it, just scrolling
- 1:01:25on Facebook, whatever. And I hear her.
- 1:01:28Blatantly say, hey babe. And my two dogs were on the
- 1:01:32couch, their heads turned off and looked I looked she was she
- 1:01:37didn't say anything. Something mimicked, her voice.
- 1:01:41And like, when she opened the door and came out of bathrooms
- 1:01:43like you say something she's like no I was, I was pooping.
- 1:01:47I'm like, choking I would I talk to you while I'm pooping and I'm
- 1:01:50like, we heard your voice like me, and the dogs heard your
- 1:01:55voice. Yeah, but the dogs.
- 1:01:56That's why I knew, I wasn't crazy because the dogs had one
- 1:02:00like that. Like they heard their mom.
- 1:02:02And yeah, I have books. I have like, like I'm a big
- 1:02:06logic. Fans will have logic books and
- 1:02:07pop, figurines the little push stuff off of there all the time.
- 1:02:11I got Spider-Man pops over here and stuff stuff.
- 1:02:13Will just fall off randomly this at my, I'm definitely haunted my
- 1:02:18house isn't haunted. Um, I've had sleep paralysis
- 1:02:21where I've opened my eyes and there was something in my face
- 1:02:23and I couldn't see what it was like.
- 1:02:25I didn't know what it was, and I just couldn't move.
- 1:02:27And yeah, I suffer from that twos fucking terrifying.
- 1:02:31Have you ever seen something like it looked like it was
- 1:02:33holding you down? Yeah.
- 1:02:35One time I was in Estonia, like I was living there from fears
- 1:02:39and How is it was weird? Like a normally when I have
- 1:02:43sleep paralysis, I just dreamed that of seeing myself kind of
- 1:02:48thing on the bed or whatever, trying to wake up and then I go
- 1:02:51through like stages of bike. Jolting trying to normally it
- 1:02:55will be a sense of like weird. Wait because you know, in dreams
- 1:02:59like everything is weird. Like if you try to run you can't
- 1:03:02run properly. If you know sometimes you feel
- 1:03:04like your head is like slipping down.
- 1:03:07You can't move your head, you trying to like frost it out and
- 1:03:09I'll have stuff like that. But there's one time a dream.
- 1:03:13There was a woman Haggard woman black hair.
- 1:03:17They sometimes they call it the night hag, but this woman kind
- 1:03:20of resembled, like if you've seen the ring, it was like that.
- 1:03:23And she basically was like, on me choking me.
- 1:03:28And I was just like that. And then I woke up and it was
- 1:03:32like, you know, typical like out of a horror movie.
- 1:03:34Like they just sweating everything and that's the only
- 1:03:37time that's ever happened. But yeah, I suffer from it too,
- 1:03:40man. Fucking sucks.
- 1:03:42Get yourself. Some are some Sage, some Palo
- 1:03:44Santo some salt, but I gotta push you a little bit more.
- 1:03:49Like, what why do you think you're being followed?
- 1:03:51Like, do you have any logic behind this?
- 1:03:53You know why? This might be the case like
- 1:03:55angry song or like maybe like a family thing?
- 1:03:59Like know, I kind of, I mean, when I was a kid, I was.
- 1:04:03So when I was a kid, the old man in the Dead, the the old man on
- 1:04:06the dog, so the previous owner that lived there actually died
- 1:04:09in the house. He was peeling it, he was
- 1:04:12peeling an apple or something like that.
- 1:04:14And when he fell, he fell down the stairs, he broke his neck
- 1:04:17and the knife that he was peeling the apple with stabbed
- 1:04:19the dog and killed in the basement, which I why I saw him
- 1:04:22in the basement as my father and I, my room was my father was.
- 1:04:25So that's, that's how I first got into it now as an adult me.
- 1:04:30Because obviously having that experience as a child, it always
- 1:04:33intrigued me and it's funny because I get this conversation.
- 1:04:36I get this question a lot and I'm sure any listener out.
- 1:04:39There is probably don't think Howard He not believe in God and
- 1:04:43hell and all this stuff, but believes in ghosts.
- 1:04:47There's a scientific reasoning behind my thought process.
- 1:04:49Is that in science? Energy, never disappears.
- 1:04:53It just transfers, energy does not dissipate it transfers.
- 1:04:56Now, the thing scientists have found out that when you die,
- 1:04:59there's a piece of energy that's lingers for a little bit and it
- 1:05:03just disappeared. It just goes away and they don't
- 1:05:06understand where it goes. Because it has to go somewhere
- 1:05:09because its energy and that's the spirit, right?
- 1:05:12That people talk about quote unquote, the spirit being.
- 1:05:14So my thought process is that energy that you Carry with you
- 1:05:17is your spirit what are your life Source?
- 1:05:21Or energy, which I believe is just another form of being like
- 1:05:26a fourth dimension being that we don't understand yet.
- 1:05:31Again, my thought process is aliens, I get it, I get it, I
- 1:05:35get it speaking of which hopefully this show will Air at
- 1:05:39some point in time because u.s. is shooting down aliens.
- 1:05:43The last two days shut down three UFOs in the last two days.
- 1:05:46So where was this one? But yeah, I had this happened in
- 1:05:48the UK was on the on the BBC news guy.
- 1:05:52Nude Hurley. Yo, okay.
- 1:05:54Completely off topic here. But yeah, Alien 3 UFO, sightings
- 1:06:00in the United States and the government has shot all three of
- 1:06:02them down. Don't know if their spy balloons
- 1:06:05from China or what they are. But could be the fact that the
- 1:06:09government is not saying what it was.
- 1:06:10They were so quick to say yes, this is a Chinese spy balloon.
- 1:06:14And not saying, what these are makes me believe it's alien.
- 1:06:17And so Intergalactic War, here we go.
- 1:06:21Okay? If you are an alien race, like
- 1:06:23what would be the benefit of invading Earth?
- 1:06:27I mean, we're such a primitive Planet.
- 1:06:29Well, okay, yeah, water is water.
- 1:06:33Is a scarce resource in the universe in the universe, right?
- 1:06:35We only have found maybe 20 planets that could resemble
- 1:06:38Earth's atmosphere and have Waters.
- 1:06:42And then the other thing would be obviously our precious
- 1:06:44metals. Gold, silver stuff like that,
- 1:06:49radiological stuff, you know, plutonium uranium.
- 1:06:56Okay. Granted, there's so many things
- 1:06:59on this planet, that could be resource and you see it in what
- 1:07:03was it Independence Day. So we've established the, why,
- 1:07:07and the, how? Okay, I have a bit of a question
- 1:07:11for you here. What's up, do you think that the
- 1:07:15introduction of aliens into our kind of collective
- 1:07:19Consciousness? Or just just the existence of
- 1:07:22aliens? Do you think that could be the
- 1:07:23thing that finally pulls the human race together?
- 1:07:26Er, no, absolutely not. No I still fit will be fighting
- 1:07:29each other, it would be so divided, so divided, 100%, the
- 1:07:34whole world will crumble in. Okay, why?
- 1:07:37This is your religion would be the reason why the world will
- 1:07:40crumble. Okay, but if it was proved that
- 1:07:44aliens exist, we would have for the most part, most of us would
- 1:07:47have to accept that. I get what you're saying,
- 1:07:48religion would it would it would some people would be in denial.
- 1:07:52I get I get that. I understand I'm sure this never
- 1:07:54this is Dad's doing so again, I lived in Florida.
- 1:07:58Lot of crazy religious people down there like radical.
- 1:08:02I'm not saying people who are religious or crazy but like
- 1:08:04radicalized like I Feel Jesus running through my body, you
- 1:08:08know, that kind of yeah, right I guess.
- 1:08:12They're all out the door throughout the world and again,
- 1:08:13because we're so separated as a culture as a, as a race, as a
- 1:08:19human race that were so separated by these religious
- 1:08:22beliefs, we forget core values and we let these archaic
- 1:08:27Supernatural depictions be represented in a different way.
- 1:08:32And people are going to stick to their convictions of that.
- 1:08:35This is what is true. And what's not, there'll be
- 1:08:37massive fall of government because you're going to have
- 1:08:42Every you know, all the super powers in the world are going to
- 1:08:45argue of who's going to have the the say in one, right?
- 1:08:49What's going to stop? North Korea from shooting at
- 1:08:51them versus the u.s. from u.s. to be like no don't do that.
- 1:08:54North reason why we want to do that then Jana might do that.
- 1:08:56Then Russia could say no we are going to press the button and
- 1:08:59then you know, like it's everyone's going to its again.
- 1:09:03We said Collective unified thought.
- 1:09:04Mmm, I get what you're saying but I feel like they would have
- 1:09:07to come together. You would hit think Janet with
- 1:09:10Jeremy now. But like I try to give the
- 1:09:14benefit of the doubt but it's proven that human life is not
- 1:09:19valued in all government of course.
- 1:09:23Of course, I guess that's a true statement is that human life
- 1:09:27itself. Day-to-day living is not valued
- 1:09:32to the mat, to the superpowers, that run the world, that money
- 1:09:37power. decision making is that Is the thing that makes these
- 1:09:45people tick and go? And I don't think because we've
- 1:09:48had, I mean, you can just look at look at a nuclear war, right?
- 1:09:54It's consistently threatened, consistently feared because we
- 1:09:57know that it would not if it's when it will happen, right?
- 1:10:02Do you think it's when you don't think it's a question - no?
- 1:10:07It's when it will happen. Why else have it?
- 1:10:10If you don't have it, if everyone just agreed to destroy
- 1:10:13all of it, and we had proof that all of nuclear weapons were
- 1:10:17decommissioned destroyed, Don done never happening again.
- 1:10:22Yeah. I believe that it would never
- 1:10:24work a hypothetical, what would be the point?
- 1:10:27Because obviously, if we do would bomb each other, then
- 1:10:30that's the end of the human race like that, for the most part, it
- 1:10:33would mean there's been so many studies ran on these things.
- 1:10:37And so many simulations, Actions have been ran and when you when
- 1:10:45you do this yes there's a majority of the populations
- 1:10:47would be destroyed. Now one if that does happen it's
- 1:10:53Last Man Standing. Whoever's Last Man Standing runs
- 1:10:58the world of course. That's why that's why it will
- 1:11:02happen because somebody in their crazy brain.
- 1:11:06And again, I said it takes a crazy leader to decide that this
- 1:11:08is going to happen that we can run the world if we just do
- 1:11:11this. I have little faith in
- 1:11:15governments and I don't, I don't trust them for anything.
- 1:11:20They there's propaganda. There's they tried to control us
- 1:11:24and keep us in the dark with something like, we should be
- 1:11:26honest. We all know there's aliens out
- 1:11:27there, like we all know that it's true, like, there's more
- 1:11:30stars than there are grains of sand on the earth.
- 1:11:32He can't sit here and tell me that the probability of it
- 1:11:35happened. Not hot not being out there,
- 1:11:36it's You know. Well, here's another question.
- 1:11:40You've seen UFOs? Do I can I will never to my, to
- 1:11:44the end to the day. I die.
- 1:11:45I will never sit here and say that it like, it was false.
- 1:11:48It was a lie. I saw it.
- 1:11:49I saw three different occasions where I could not explain it.
- 1:11:53It didn't make sense. And now seeing a lot of this
- 1:11:56stuff on Tick-Tock, it's scares the hell out of me because it
- 1:11:59it's a very similar to what I saw with my own eyes.
- 1:12:02Okay? Paint me a picture of run me
- 1:12:03through one of the one of the sightings that stands out the
- 1:12:07The most blatant one I ever saw was ice but I lived in Florida.
- 1:12:11I used to volunteer at an aquarium that she made a movie
- 1:12:14about the aquarium called the dolphin.
- 1:12:15Tale about a dolphin that lost her tail winter, so, Winter's,
- 1:12:18Tale and adult Dolphin, Tales the movie and they we had to do
- 1:12:25turtle turtle nesting is what it was called.
- 1:12:28So we'd walk on the beach. Late at night, some somewhere
- 1:12:31between ten till like 2:00 in the morning.
- 1:12:33Like about four hours would hang out on the beach, walk up and
- 1:12:34down because the turtles would do they would go up on the be
- 1:12:37sad. Dig a hole that lay their Seas,
- 1:12:38they bury it up and they go back in the water.
- 1:12:40Our job was to re dig the hole up count the eggs, put a fence
- 1:12:44around it. So when the eggs hatch, we can
- 1:12:46make sure they get to the ocean and not going to a street or get
- 1:12:48picked off by a Peloton or a raccoon, right?
- 1:12:52Do am I good here? It was me and my two other
- 1:12:55people and because we're always teams because walking around on
- 1:12:59a beach at late at night, little dangerous.
- 1:13:01So you know me and two other people.
- 1:13:03I'm a walking down the beach and we heard this weird.
- 1:13:07Humming noise. And we didn't know what it was,
- 1:13:10and we turned around and look back on the shoreline.
- 1:13:13And we saw this light and it was spinning like this spinning in a
- 1:13:17circle, and it was coming towards us.
- 1:13:20I'm like, what the fuck it? No joke, flew over our heads,
- 1:13:23kicked up the sand, and I remembered the same.
- 1:13:25Kicked up, a hit, my back, the back of my head and it hurt like
- 1:13:28hell, because the thing was flying fast.
- 1:13:29It was flying low, and it just flew and no joke.
- 1:13:33We're sitting there were like what the fuck was that 10
- 1:13:36seconds later? Two f-16s are fought, wicked
- 1:13:40fast flying behind it. No reports in the news.
- 1:13:44No reports from any police government.
- 1:13:47Not like, it was dead silent about it and that was it.
- 1:13:51That was that was I saw my own eyes, it didn't make sense.
- 1:13:55It was, I can't say it was a disc shape it, but it was a
- 1:13:58circle that had a like going around.
- 1:14:00It like that could have been part of a bigger thing.
- 1:14:02It was nighttime but why? It was spinning and going like
- 1:14:06that and it made humming noise, didn't sound like a plane,
- 1:14:09didn't sound like a jet and yeah, that scared the shit out
- 1:14:13of me. Why do you think the government
- 1:14:15chooses not to acknowledge that? It's aliens and admit it to the
- 1:14:18public eye mass panic That's what I would say as well.
- 1:14:22But like, do you think really that we would just lose our
- 1:14:25fucking minds that beer? I mean, at this point I mean, I
- 1:14:28know Max. I know you're you're overseas.
- 1:14:31So u.s. here they just they released last year a bunch of
- 1:14:36CIA documents that. Yeah, we're about UFOs and stuff
- 1:14:40like that. And now all of a sudden there's
- 1:14:42been more UFO sightings in the last six months than there has
- 1:14:44been in the last 10-15 years, doing part social media I think
- 1:14:51at this point if they just told us, we'd be, like, it's about
- 1:14:53time. I don't think it'd be so shocked
- 1:14:56anymore. Yeah.
- 1:14:57I think it's just the initial fear of, you know, immediate
- 1:15:01cultural collapse because people would Panic, they would start
- 1:15:04looting, they would build your Doomsday Bunkers.
- 1:15:08I'm pretty sure you would see stuff like that.
- 1:15:10Okay. Let's suppose ideas are real and
- 1:15:13because there's been documented sightings since the 60s
- 1:15:18officially. But then of course we've seen
- 1:15:20like Paintings and stuff. Where I remember I've there's
- 1:15:22that famous painting for that sixteen Seventeen, hundreds and
- 1:15:24is quite clearly. Something that resembles like a
- 1:15:26UFO in the far right corner and then.
- 1:15:30Yeah. So realistically we're probably
- 1:15:32looking at maybe hundreds, maybe even thousands of years.
- 1:15:35Why do you think aliens have not?
- 1:15:37I don't know. Blown us up.
- 1:15:39Invaded made contact. You want my honest opinion?
- 1:15:44Yeah, of course, man. This is my, this is my belief
- 1:15:46systems. I don't believe in, you know,
- 1:15:48God and all that stuff. Okay, and I grew up Catholic,
- 1:15:50just so everyone knows just so we're clear.
- 1:15:52I grew up went to Catholic school.
- 1:15:54I learned the whole thing. I found out, I didn't something
- 1:15:57didn't sit right with me and I went and learned all these other
- 1:15:59religious. I learned, you know, Judaism
- 1:16:00Buddhism, all those things too and I studied them.
- 1:16:02I read the Quran, I read the Torah and one thing that I
- 1:16:07realized Was that yeah it's all core beliefs and I think the
- 1:16:10Bible was just a collection of historical documents but I'm
- 1:16:15also a believer that there's no way that the Egyptians built
- 1:16:18that shit with logs and sticks and hammer and chisel and when
- 1:16:24we see someone said the other day to me just just interject
- 1:16:27for one second. Someone said to me the other
- 1:16:29day. Oh, the pyramids.
- 1:16:31Yeah. No.
- 1:16:31That was for recharging people. Think it's a tomb but no, it's
- 1:16:35actually An energy source. Yep.
- 1:16:39So there is a weird thing that scientists don't understand our
- 1:16:43gouged understand, it emits energy and they don't know why
- 1:16:45the pyramids just emits energy. They don't understand why.
- 1:16:50Interesting because you realize the, the top of it was capped
- 1:16:53with Goal. I think was Diamond, diamonds
- 1:16:57and gold. It was it was gold plated and
- 1:16:59stuff. I'd stuff like that.
- 1:17:01And you look at Egyptians to and you see the importance of gold,
- 1:17:05right? Right now.
- 1:17:06What is the importance of gold in today's society?
- 1:17:10Well, money is measured against gold, isn't it?
- 1:17:12So technically but because money doesn't trickle conduction.
- 1:17:16Fire is the best thing for electrical conduction.
- 1:17:18It's light, its malleable, it's in every computer chip, it's in
- 1:17:22our microphones. It's in our keyboards or laptop.
- 1:17:25Okay. Did its small miniscule, Mounds
- 1:17:29there's actually a guy on Tick Tock that takes old computers,
- 1:17:32melts everything down, and collects, all the gold from it
- 1:17:35and sells it obvious. So it's really crazy to think
- 1:17:38how much gold is in everyday stuff.
- 1:17:41I'm your cell phone, you know, it's batteries or not batteries,
- 1:17:44but like, wires and stuff like that.
- 1:17:45And we use Copper because it's cheaper to get, but gold is a
- 1:17:48better conductor so you see the history of Egyptians and the
- 1:17:52importance of gold? Well why?
- 1:17:54Because it was my opinion is it was clearly state.
- 1:17:57It was clearly made important to them by these beings.
- 1:18:00Now the reason why I think they haven't come back So you look at
- 1:18:06history, right? People talk about Evolution
- 1:18:07right? I'm sure you've heard this term,
- 1:18:10the missing link right? The missing link where men went
- 1:18:13from caveman Neanderthal. Shoumaine that we are today they
- 1:18:17have every skull leading up to and every school leading after
- 1:18:21they don't know where that makes it is.
- 1:18:22My thought process is that higher being that creator of man
- 1:18:27we're just no different than a science experiment in my opinion
- 1:18:31maybe these ain't this this this extraterrestrial Some people
- 1:18:36they used us to mine gold that to mind these things, and when
- 1:18:43it came down to it, they realize, maybe we're kind of
- 1:18:46just too dumb to do what they need us to do.
- 1:18:48So they you mean, you here you here in ancient Greek mythology,
- 1:18:54ancient Roman mythology Egyptian mythology Sumerian mythology of
- 1:19:00d'Ivoire demigods right rods came down from the sky to fuck
- 1:19:04you. Mins.
- 1:19:05And then, there was this little half, half human half God, baby.
- 1:19:09Well, as we've learned, is that a lot of these writings do
- 1:19:12recollect, some a lot of history.
- 1:19:14But we just pick and choose what we want to believe is true
- 1:19:16history. Not right?
- 1:19:18Like we saw the homers tale of the Odyssey.
- 1:19:21People didn't believe in the city of Troy, until they fucking
- 1:19:23found it. Like, it's all fake.
- 1:19:26Then they find Troy. That's the only part of the book
- 1:19:28that's real. So right, when you look at
- 1:19:32ancient history to and it's like well there's a reason they
- 1:19:34Documented these things and said these things.
- 1:19:36And I don't think it was just by mere coincidence.
- 1:19:39So my thought process is aliens came down.
- 1:19:43They saw what we had, they realized we could use these
- 1:19:47fuckers to do work for us. Just like why wouldn't we take
- 1:19:50advantage of people to do stuff? Sure for us now, right?
- 1:19:53That's why there's child labor laws in place in most, you know,
- 1:19:56regular countries by because you could use children to do work
- 1:19:58for you, at, for a little dime, like, oh, if we just give them
- 1:20:01food and water, they'll they'll build us these giant candy.
- 1:20:04Doctors sure. But then I feel like they
- 1:20:07thought we were kind of dumb. They slept with us, they created
- 1:20:10a whole, what's called new race of humanity, right?
- 1:20:16And because there is instances and scientists are scientists
- 1:20:20said that, you know, there are theories that the end of dolls
- 1:20:23and normal humans, nowadays lived side by side together.
- 1:20:27How did, yeah? Yeah.
- 1:20:28This is the thing that interests me is how the Neanderthals just
- 1:20:30completely disappeared. Even though, arguably, they were
- 1:20:33the superior race. Like It clearly.
- 1:20:35And at the time, yeah. There's if you think about it,
- 1:20:38you know, I'm gonna ask you a straight-up question.
- 1:20:41Do you think you can beat a monkey one-on-one in a fight?
- 1:20:44No campaigns. It would just destroy me a tape.
- 1:20:47Sorry, not a monkey. It would it would kill me.
- 1:20:49Yeah, exactly. No wonder the Halls were pretty
- 1:20:51much Apes. Yeah, they were built.
- 1:20:54They had longer arms. They had long hands like how did
- 1:20:58we shrink our hands? And you know change the way our
- 1:21:01Dynamic was set of why we go from hunched over to just all of
- 1:21:04a sudden were handing straight up just my thought and then You
- 1:21:09know, there's more thoughts that I don't think we are race.
- 1:21:13Of people are actually from this planet or whoo, back up a
- 1:21:19second. You think we're from another
- 1:21:21planet? So I actually think we're from
- 1:21:24Mars and there's a reason why so think about it, right?
- 1:21:28So you so I saw this, I saw a Tick-Tock on this and this made
- 1:21:31my brain. Go just explode because I was
- 1:21:34extremely Stone on the washi tape back.
- 1:21:37That's usually how this happened.
- 1:21:38But Actually, Joe Rogan and I think was not Joe Rogan's
- 1:21:42pocket. Here we go.
- 1:21:43If it wants to enjoy them all to think about this, all right, so
- 1:21:48when we get older or what as we just grow and we get older, we
- 1:21:52have knee pain, we have back pains naturally.
- 1:21:54Like this is natural like when you get older as I call your
- 1:21:56backs Gonna Hurt No Matter What. Why is that?
- 1:21:59Well, if you look at Mars, the gravity is a little bit less
- 1:22:03than it is on Earth that would eliminate that would eliminate
- 1:22:07all back pains and Knee pains and all that shit, right?
- 1:22:11Because our body should evolve to human data rate.
- 1:22:14The our species should have evolved to withstand.
- 1:22:17You don't see these kinds of things happen in random animals,
- 1:22:21right? Where they just actually in
- 1:22:24pain. Because it just happens that way
- 1:22:27most because gravity creates pressure on our backs.
- 1:22:30Well, in Mars, the the gravity's less that releases your back
- 1:22:34pain, we go out in the sun too long.
- 1:22:36We got to worry about getting sunburned.
- 1:22:38On Cancer, all these things. Well guess what?
- 1:22:41In Mars, the sun, the sun quality isn't as powerful.
- 1:22:44You're not going to burn when you go out into the sun.
- 1:22:48There was there's a couple other things too and I forgot what
- 1:22:50they were but just those two as main examples there's that he
- 1:22:52had a whole list of them. Like if you just put a human on
- 1:22:56Mars from birth, that humans going to live and extent a very
- 1:23:02strong healthy life, not a problem.
- 1:23:04And that's where I think that you know, you kind of see those
- 1:23:07kinds of things, you know. Yeah, you know, when I was
- 1:23:12getting ready for this podcast today, I was not expecting to
- 1:23:17the different directions that it's gone, but I think this is,
- 1:23:21this is why I love fucking doing podcasts mode because you only
- 1:23:24Ever Knows Satan. Fucking crazy, man.
- 1:23:29Jeez, I've got so many questions for you.
- 1:23:32I told you I had a number. I talk about anything.
- 1:23:35I have I have so many goddamn stories.
- 1:23:38I think I said that to you in the thing you have to come back
- 1:23:41on the show in the future. Manned?
- 1:23:43Yeah absolutely I'd love to I'd love to come on your show as
- 1:23:45well. I must absolutely.
- 1:23:47I just had a smoke first. That's a prerequisite.
- 1:23:50It's my clan. I'm clean living.
- 1:23:52That's fine. As long as you're inebriated in
- 1:23:54any sense. Get yourself.
- 1:23:55A nice paint will go. Let's go.
- 1:23:56I don't drink Eve. I'm clean living at Choice.
- 1:23:59It that wasn't forgotten. I don't drink out that just
- 1:24:02smoke. Oh yeah.
- 1:24:04But same as my dad. Really?
- 1:24:05He's not as well. I think it's, I think it's good.
- 1:24:08But, you know, to each their own.
- 1:24:09I know I never begrudge and yeah, but I think as long as
- 1:24:11you're in control is shit. That's that's the main thing
- 1:24:13though. This is small because I have add
- 1:24:17that helps oh really. Okay.
- 1:24:18Interesting. Can you call you expand on that
- 1:24:20a little bit like how it helps you?
- 1:24:24Everything moves a little slower and I can actually folk a just
- 1:24:28drunk. Homes in my focusing, I mean,
- 1:24:30you've seen it with video Gamers for years, right?
- 1:24:33Hmm. Like you smoke pot and you play
- 1:24:34video games, right? That's that's in the mo with
- 1:24:37video games. That's because you'll dive into
- 1:24:41something for 67 hours and you won't even pay mine to it.
- 1:24:44So, I took that mindset and I was just like, well, if I smoke
- 1:24:47as I used to never smoked pot, it was never my thing and then
- 1:24:49it became legal. And I was like, wow, why don't
- 1:24:53they, when you're a kid? You don't mean me, I'm sure
- 1:24:55you've drank before in the past right?
- 1:24:57Yeah, exactly. And I used to hate the way I
- 1:24:59felt being drunk because if I drink ice was blackout, you
- 1:25:04puke, whatever it was and I just couldn't take it anymore.
- 1:25:09I also had stomach ulcers. So like I had a stomach ulcer
- 1:25:11rupture and I had to go to the hospital.
- 1:25:13I had internal bleeding greater than all from drinking so I was
- 1:25:16like, you know what, we're going to stop that and then I smoke
- 1:25:20one of these little pain things and I realized like wow I'm a
- 1:25:26normal. Like this is me Sober, by the
- 1:25:28way. This whole conversation is me
- 1:25:31sober. And that's the scary part where
- 1:25:34it Mellows me out a little bit more, right?
- 1:25:37I talked at a normal rate of speech lightning fast, and yeah,
- 1:25:44no, it just calms, it keeps me focused, and he's me, chill, and
- 1:25:48Plus, it makes life way more enjoyable in my opinion because
- 1:25:53I gotta, I don't begrudge you don't play.
- 1:25:55So, no, I feel you, Man, II caught.
- 1:25:58I don't have anything bad setup weed.
- 1:26:00I mean, I spoke to a lot when I was a teenager.
- 1:26:02The only reason to be honest I really ever stopped was that I
- 1:26:06took a break from it and then my tolerance stopped, which happens
- 1:26:10naturally bit, like, alcohol consumption as well and then I
- 1:26:13just I would get high too quickly and I just didn't like
- 1:26:16how I fell. It wasn't.
- 1:26:17It wasn't like the The fun moaning Sensation that I'd felt
- 1:26:23weren't years prior where I was able to still do stuff.
- 1:26:26This was like this was like too much so I was okay and I kept
- 1:26:30drinking and then there was various reasons for me.
- 1:26:34Quitting drinking is very recently like her but she's been
- 1:26:37like two months sober now. So school grounds.
- 1:26:40Thanks man, I wasn't an alcoholic or anything but I got
- 1:26:45to about point and you know, I chose to To fire that was my
- 1:26:49decision to do that but you know then ask that sitting down and
- 1:26:52actually just do research about it like because I thought
- 1:26:54everyone knows that alcohol is worse than we'd like it's just
- 1:26:57it's just science man. Like fuck's your liver up it.
- 1:27:01As you say like you know the worst thing I ever had with weed
- 1:27:05as I sometimes felt like I was going to pass out as worst
- 1:27:07thing. Yeah.
- 1:27:08It doesn't really well against which to each their own.
- 1:27:12Like I never, I never actually did but that's really the worst
- 1:27:15thing that could ever really happen.
- 1:27:17You know. Yes, it's natural.
- 1:27:18Oh it's you know as long as you don't consume too much of a
- 1:27:21right obviously there are issues, sometimes it has been
- 1:27:25linked to things like psychosis and stuff but I think that's
- 1:27:28more to do with like excessive consumption as opposed to Janome
- 1:27:32if you're like, keeping it here kind of moderate level.
- 1:27:35It's okay. Whereas alcohol, it doesn't
- 1:27:37matter. It doesn't matter if you're
- 1:27:39drinking a lot or a little, it still fucks you up either way.
- 1:27:42Yeah, and that was one thing I loved about readers that, you
- 1:27:44know, I treat it. Like it's, you know, a lot of
- 1:27:47people at the end of a Day at work, they come home and they
- 1:27:49have a beer, right? I hit my pen once or twice and
- 1:27:53then I'm just chill. My food.
- 1:27:55My I'm going to be hungry and like, 25 minutes.
- 1:27:57The food is going to taste phenomenal, whatever.
- 1:28:00Movie I'm watching, is going to be way better than what I
- 1:28:03thought it was. Like, it's so funny because
- 1:28:06before I smoke pot because that'll give me a minute.
- 1:28:08That'll give you like an inaccurate view of things though
- 1:28:11that when someone goes, oh, did you watch move in?
- 1:28:12You're like, yeah, it's fucking amazing.
- 1:28:14And they watch it a little bit of soap and you're like, oh no,
- 1:28:16this isn't good. I guess I was just, yeah.
- 1:28:20I mean that's mean McDonald's is immediately better when you open
- 1:28:23your stone. So my thought was like it's good
- 1:28:25food. But like, I mean, when I was
- 1:28:28younger, I used to watch the stoner movies, like, you know,
- 1:28:29stepbrother, Superbad, all those kind of movies.
- 1:28:31I came out back then and I love them.
- 1:28:33I thought they were great but I realized how much better they
- 1:28:36were when you were stoned. I was like, wow, it's an aid for
- 1:28:39people in this predicament and it's like, wow, it became that
- 1:28:43much better be and y'all my labs were more genuine and heartfelt
- 1:28:47labs and You don't seem to have music like I like when I listen
- 1:28:52to music and I'm stoned, I don't hear the music, feel the music,
- 1:28:55man, you know, like, I don't know, it's, I don't know, I just
- 1:28:59feel like it opens. There's so much the human brain
- 1:29:02that we don't understand. And if this was put on this
- 1:29:04Earth for this reason and we can consume it and we can eat it and
- 1:29:07we can smoke it and it doesn't kill us.
- 1:29:10There's a reason why right? Yeah, no, I agree.
- 1:29:14I agree. I agree.
- 1:29:15I just still puzzles. Me.
- 1:29:16That alcohol was The main thing that's paralysis legal.
- 1:29:20Yeah. They should totally be illegal.
- 1:29:23Like its, how was cigarettes legal?
- 1:29:27Yeah. There's literal tar in it.
- 1:29:30This rat poison. They're really rat poison in it.
- 1:29:34Yeah. Well, arsenic or not, it's a
- 1:29:36tiny amount. Yeah.
- 1:29:38Yeah, but there's, but there's shit in there.
- 1:29:40That's killed literally kills you.
- 1:29:43What do you thought some Brewing?
- 1:29:44What you folks in vape pens paper, like maybe because it's
- 1:29:47more? The shit that nicotine doesn't
- 1:29:50kill you. That's my nicotine gum isn't
- 1:29:53going. You can be true, nicotine gum
- 1:29:54for the entire life. It's not going to kill you, Mom.
- 1:29:57I think it's better. I think obviously the additives
- 1:29:58like I have watermelon ice right now, the flavoring and all the
- 1:30:03shit. That's probably bad for me, but
- 1:30:06I think the overall idea of it of just smoking, nicotine, it's
- 1:30:09way better than having tar in my lungs.
- 1:30:12It was a smoker for 11 years. So I remember when I had that
- 1:30:16whole thing happened in my stomach, When I had the ulcer,
- 1:30:19they took x-rays and MRIs and stuff like that.
- 1:30:22My lungs, look terrible. I was 24 years old, 25 years
- 1:30:26old, something like that, and my lungs.
- 1:30:27So terrible, and I was like, well, that's not good.
- 1:30:31I remember, I had to go back, right?
- 1:30:32Or had a knee injury. I took x-rays.
- 1:30:35And I also had like bronchitis sometimes.
- 1:30:37I didn't I shave my chest at the same time.
- 1:30:38Just killed two birds, one stone and When I looked at my chest
- 1:30:44x-rays, they're like, oh yeah, your lungs look fine.
- 1:30:45I was like, I was vaping for two years after that.
- 1:30:48I'm like, well, I'm not going back to cigarettes.
- 1:30:51So you buddy, hield in two years so you say something like that.
- 1:30:55Yeah. What did I say?
- 1:30:57Just look better, right? I'm not saying vaping is healthy
- 1:31:03but it's a better alternative than cigarettes for sure.
- 1:31:06Yeah, and I gotta say it sucks because I was a smoker for so
- 1:31:09long. Nothing beats a cigarette still.
- 1:31:11I saw streamin, I miss, I miss it.
- 1:31:14Sometimes like people in like I don't miss how it made me feel
- 1:31:18and it's expensive and all that. But like man, sometimes I'll be
- 1:31:21walking down the street and someone smoking a cigarette, I'm
- 1:31:23out. Mmm like that.
- 1:31:26You know what it was it was that first cigarette of the day.
- 1:31:29I mean that little light-headed miss you get smoked hitting the
- 1:31:35back of your throat is like there's no there's no better
- 1:31:38feeling that's why I don't care what they say.
- 1:31:40Spend smoking is good, like it's bad for you don't do it, but
- 1:31:43it's it's good. I was the best stress relief of
- 1:31:46all time. When you were stressed out, you
- 1:31:47just smoked a cigarette, everything was fine.
- 1:31:50But I read somewhere that it does actually it stresses you
- 1:31:52more, so like it causes more stress.
- 1:31:55So, like, whoa. I get what you're saying, but,
- 1:31:57right? But the same time it like Causes
- 1:32:01more stress in the long run like especially not having a
- 1:32:03cigarette like it that for instance I was a smoker during
- 1:32:06my during my exams and I remember I had to smoke before I
- 1:32:09go in or was I just like, get a really unfocused won't be able
- 1:32:12to do the do the exams, you know.
- 1:32:16Yep, the last the last the last time I had a cigarette, I was I
- 1:32:27should was when I got the news. My best friend, took his life.
- 1:32:30That's the last time I had a cigarette.
- 1:32:32Well, now before that was two years prior, but like that,
- 1:32:34like, that was such bad news and such a hit to me that I was
- 1:32:37like, I went to my co-workers. I need a cigarette dude.
- 1:32:41And I was last time I smoked I remember I smoked it I was
- 1:32:42coughing up a long and it tasted disgusting and I was like I
- 1:32:45can't believe I did this for as long as I did was like, but I
- 1:32:48need this one right now. I need this one right now.
- 1:32:51Yeah. No.
- 1:32:52I'd stick to my vape and I literally have 33 Vapes just
- 1:32:55sitting here for my head. This device I have this.
- 1:32:59The worst thing is like I have so many devices now though, you
- 1:33:02do the CBD oil stuff you try that.
- 1:33:06I do I smoke th see my friend. Okay, have you ever tried it?
- 1:33:15You write it, you think it's a different?
- 1:33:17It's a different feeling. It's more of a body, chill than
- 1:33:19a Head Rush. Okay.
- 1:33:21I like the head rush because I love cooking and so like when I
- 1:33:25get stoned, I come up with amazing recipes.
- 1:33:27So this crowbar, a by your partner.
- 1:33:31Would she agree? Oh yeah, she loves me.
- 1:33:33She loves my cooking. Like, I'm, I've taken such I
- 1:33:36have I have an apron. I've literally have five
- 1:33:38cookbooks down here. Rather talk.
- 1:33:41It's the Avatar cookbook because Avatar is one of my favorite TV
- 1:33:44shows, cool. So, this whole wall is its
- 1:33:47avatar The Last Airbender Nomad. All right, what 32 year old,
- 1:33:50man? Child, not a good for you, man.
- 1:33:53I think it's good man. Long as a man's responsible and
- 1:33:55on top of things like fuck, yeah, Joy of my enjoy it, why
- 1:33:58not? I know is that as an adult, my
- 1:34:01toys just get more expensive. It's true.
- 1:34:14Why $500? And fucking Nikes and never get
- 1:34:17this. Okay, so there's some like I
- 1:34:19have real ones and I have fake ones like once it's like, I'm
- 1:34:22like, I can't bring myself to wear them but like the real
- 1:34:24ones, like, I'm an avid Wu-Tang fan.
- 1:34:27Yeah, I have Wu-Tang Wu-Tang logos tattooed on me and it says
- 1:34:30protect your neck right there, right?
- 1:34:32So, I actually have the real pair of the only shoe that Nike
- 1:34:35has collaborated with Wu-Tang Clan on called the Nike.
- 1:34:37Boo tangs own posits the worth. Hundred dollars I bought, I
- 1:34:42needed them because I have, I have the album, I have my big
- 1:34:45Wu-Tang thing. So there's some stuff that has
- 1:34:47meaning that I yeah, like I have the lost and found Nikes they're
- 1:34:52fake. I held them up to a real pair.
- 1:34:54They don't look any different, but they match my colors.
- 1:34:57How much he's fanned the red and white.
- 1:34:58So I'm like, I got a rocket. So like some of them.
- 1:35:01Yes. And some of them I'll keep just
- 1:35:03because I know the collectors. Like I have a, I'm big on Funko
- 1:35:06Pops. I love the Funko Pops.
- 1:35:08I have ones that were 200. $300. Hours and they just sit in the
- 1:35:11Box on a shelf, but I know if I'm ever in a jam, just sell it.
- 1:35:16Actually, just by looking at it. Yeah, that's good.
- 1:35:18Way to look at it. Oh, dude.
- 1:35:19Like, I look at everything in my office right now that I have, I
- 1:35:22have some, I've assigned shirt from logic, I have a signed book
- 1:35:24from him. I have comic books from the
- 1:35:271970s 60s, I have, you know, an action figure that's worth $400.
- 1:35:32Like if I Justice, if I knew I was in a jam, I lost my job.
- 1:35:35I needed money. I just sell it.
- 1:35:39Hmm, it will hurt emotionally to get rid of it, but I know I, if
- 1:35:44I ever caught in a pickle, my piggy bank, some people put it
- 1:35:47in, you know, stocks and stuff like that.
- 1:35:49I was like, I'd rather look at the stuff that I invested in.
- 1:35:53Forget it, man. I miss the sense of I've never
- 1:35:55really thought about it. Like that is this a really
- 1:35:56sensible way to look at it. It's the reason why I mean, it's
- 1:36:02the reasoning. I give my life to why why'd you
- 1:36:06spend $70 on a toy? It's going to be worth $150.
- 1:36:10One day like myself in the ass because dude as a kid I had
- 1:36:16freaking Pokemon cards now. Look at them now and it's like
- 1:36:18yeah, million dollars. It's worth 500,000 motherfucker.
- 1:36:23That's frustrating. I really is, I still have a
- 1:36:26PlayStation 2 ever written. I was second Dreamcast.
- 1:36:30It's all in my closet because I know one day it'll be worth like
- 1:36:33right now is only worth 60 bucks.
- 1:36:34But I know one day, it'll be worth the 200.
- 1:36:36I bought it for and I first bought it to Xbox 360s of a
- 1:36:41freaking original Nintendo Wii worth money.
- 1:36:45One day eventually hopefully one day, okay, a couple of final
- 1:36:50questions for you. What's the best advice you've
- 1:36:52ever received? Hey man.
- 1:36:55You hit me with a hard one. Boo.
- 1:36:57Um, That's advice. It's cliche.
- 1:37:02It's a total cliché thing because it's been said in movies
- 1:37:05a thousand times too, but never take life too.
- 1:37:08Seriously, Never Get Out Alive. I only heard it, I forgot what
- 1:37:13movie is it? What I think it was?
- 1:37:14I think it was actually what's his name, Ryan Reynolds said
- 1:37:17that. But no, I've had people older
- 1:37:20older. People tell me that I work in
- 1:37:21sales. So I meet a lot of people and I
- 1:37:24network with them and talk with them and ask them about their
- 1:37:26lives. And remember, I've had a 90 year
- 1:37:29old guy. He had stomach cancer and he
- 1:37:33bought. He had just bought like a forty
- 1:37:35thousand dollars like sports car and he said he always dreamed of
- 1:37:39just having something fast and fun.
- 1:37:42And wanted to drive. And I'm like, listen, man.
- 1:37:44Like, you know, I'm not trying to pry on your personal life,
- 1:37:46but you know, you're fighting cancer, like, don't you think
- 1:37:48you should like, not get a race car and he goes no, because when
- 1:37:52I'm gonna die eventually, there's no fighting it.
- 1:37:54So, why not enjoy all the time I have left and take it too
- 1:37:57seriously. And I was like, damn and I
- 1:37:59really changed my my thought, process on the way I operate.
- 1:38:02Because I remember when I was younger and my no early to
- 1:38:05mid-20s, I was all about, you know, shooting tie and
- 1:38:08comb-overs and looking professional.
- 1:38:10And and you know, Gotta do be so serious all the time and people
- 1:38:14are going to think of me differently and then I got to
- 1:38:15the point in my life where I'm like, I don't give a fuck what
- 1:38:18anybody thinks about. That's why I have a mustache
- 1:38:21like a thick porno mustache and why I get tattoos and why I have
- 1:38:27toys at 30 32 33 this year, and why, you know, I just, I enjoy
- 1:38:32every ounce of life. Like I enjoy, I enjoy food.
- 1:38:35Like I make learn how to cook something, just to learn a new
- 1:38:39thing. And, you know, It's never one
- 1:38:43thing to, it's never too late to chase your dream.
- 1:38:46It's never too late. That's probably the best that
- 1:38:49they don't hand in hand because I mean Christian I don't know
- 1:38:52how old you are, man. I don't know your life story.
- 1:38:54I don't know much about you and obviously when you come on my
- 1:38:56show, I'm gonna interview the same way and as you some deep
- 1:38:58ask questions, But I'm excited. I started doing this at 31 years
- 1:39:05old and started doing the podcasting, and I never thought
- 1:39:10it would lead me to a life that I'm, I feel fulfilled and I'm
- 1:39:13having so much fun doing chasing this thing.
- 1:39:17I know the odds are not in my favor to become big to be the
- 1:39:20next, you know, impulsive Joe, Rogan, Howard, Stern, Pat McAfee
- 1:39:26show guy. But you know what?
- 1:39:28Man, and I test it to my wife. Honestly, I give it to her, it's
- 1:39:33she's my massive support behind it.
- 1:39:35I originally got into all this because of video game streaming
- 1:39:38and that's honest, that's the honest truth.
- 1:39:40During quarantine, we talked about, I always talk about I
- 1:39:43watch dreamers and I would talk about want to do at Audubon
- 1:39:46doing in 2021. She surprised me I think was my
- 1:39:48birthday or Valentine's Day or something like that.
- 1:39:50She bought me a desk, she bought me a chair, she bought me a
- 1:39:53camera and she's like, just go do play, go do it.
- 1:39:56And I end up meeting my first, my first podcast partner from
- 1:40:01streaming. He hopped in my stream, we talk
- 1:40:03ended up at legally streaming it as an MMA fight and or a boxing
- 1:40:08match or something like that. And we were talking and we made
- 1:40:11commentary and people listened and they loved.
- 1:40:13And then we started the show week, two weeks later and then I
- 1:40:16met more people from doing that. I got, there's a contestant
- 1:40:18that's gonna be on the new Survivor Series.
- 1:40:20I met him, I'm friends with him now and like it opened up our
- 1:40:24doorways, both of us simultaneously to like he works
- 1:40:27in Hollywood. Now, my body, he works for movie
- 1:40:30sets and then there's me like, yeah.
- 1:40:31We'll sell cars, but now I've learned a whole I got and I've
- 1:40:35learned, I've gotten into photography video, editing,
- 1:40:37Sound Engineering, even just being comfortable on a camera
- 1:40:42and talking on a microphone. I'm sure you've had a number of
- 1:40:46guests who just aren't comfortable on a mic or in this
- 1:40:49setting. Sometimes I said, almost 200
- 1:40:52episodes pretty buddy. He had to meet a couple of them
- 1:40:54where they're just like they're awkward and you feel like you're
- 1:40:57just dragging sometimes to get the people to talk.
- 1:41:01Yeah. I've had that I definitely had
- 1:41:02instances like that, but I think, for the most part, if
- 1:41:04you, if you agree to be on a podcast, You, you will want to
- 1:41:09talk, you know what I mean? If you've agreed to sign up for
- 1:41:12generally speaking, you will a but you're right about the few.
- 1:41:16I've come across enough where they're just like like so what
- 1:41:18do you do for work? Man, I work on cars.
- 1:41:22Yeah I had one show and I've spoken about this a few times.
- 1:41:27There's one shot I will I will not say which one because I
- 1:41:30think it's bit unprofessional to single it out, but there was one
- 1:41:33show where literally, I cut two clips from it.
- 1:41:38And those two clips about five minutes are the only five
- 1:41:41minutes worth watching because the rest of it, Matt always
- 1:41:46trying, you know, I was really trying.
- 1:41:48I was I was, you know, just trying to get conversation going
- 1:41:51and just every aren't every year be like, oh, so I don't give it
- 1:41:55away but like The project, you know, like how did you get into
- 1:42:00working on this? Oh, well, you know, I just
- 1:42:03started working in this and then they led to this.
- 1:42:06Okay. What do you think you're gonna
- 1:42:09do in the future with it? Well, yeah, probably just do
- 1:42:12another one and then. Yeah.
- 1:42:15I always at one point, I almost got pissed at the guys like,
- 1:42:19fucking give me something. Yeah, you gotta fake it or
- 1:42:22anything but like, come on. You're killing me here and part
- 1:42:25of me wondered afterwards. Like should I publish this?
- 1:42:28Maybe I shouldn't have. It was a Learning lesson and if
- 1:42:31I ever do encounter that in the future, I will just stop calling
- 1:42:34be like that. This that waiver not we doing
- 1:42:35this or not. We're not doing it that, that
- 1:42:37will be my future approach. But yeah, like I mean, I think
- 1:42:43it's a two-way street. You have someone on your show
- 1:42:47you can't expect them to just do everything like you as the host
- 1:42:50have a responsibility but you've got a kind of like fit into your
- 1:42:54role. I did it right control it right
- 1:42:57on path. Yeah exactly what we did a
- 1:43:00terrible job this episode doing we have both see you say, we say
- 1:43:04none but that's why I like to do.
- 1:43:07That's what that to me is. That's what my show is General
- 1:43:11because we've gone from from topic to topic, but you'll
- 1:43:14notice that Like I ask questions to guide it here and there I
- 1:43:17never interrupted you say, I do the same thing man, right?
- 1:43:20And that's then created the show.
- 1:43:22That's what it is. That's I mean it's it might not
- 1:43:25be everyone's cup of tea, but the way I Market is, this is a
- 1:43:28show where every time you listen, it'll be something
- 1:43:31different, but that structure will always be the same.
- 1:43:34Yeah, I always approach it that way, even if it's a topic where
- 1:43:38I'm just ad-lib, a lot of questions which is what I did
- 1:43:41today as well. I will still in my head be
- 1:43:44trying To kind of move it to a logical sort of Point like and
- 1:43:47once I feel like okay this is kind of done that we can move to
- 1:43:49the next thing then I'll do that.
- 1:43:51Yep. You know but it's more yeah it's
- 1:43:52more like a feeling or it doesn't even necessarily have to
- 1:43:55be a fit a Segway. It's just kind of like knowing
- 1:43:58when to kind of let someone go off on tangents and talk and
- 1:44:03knowing when to rein it back and move to the next thing or you
- 1:44:05know, and I think that comes with time and experience
- 1:44:08practice. Exactly.
- 1:44:09Inevitably that's my whole point of that is I would have never
- 1:44:16have been in sales, my whole life man, I've been in sales,
- 1:44:19whether I was a server, bartender working door-to-door
- 1:44:22sales. Now working in the car industry,
- 1:44:24I have a natural gift of just talking and I can talk for hours
- 1:44:28on end. It's a gift.
- 1:44:29And a curse trick is getting me to shut the fuck up.
- 1:44:33But looking at the way I approach it now and utilizing it
- 1:44:37in a podcast setting because I mean I don't like, I don't want
- 1:44:42to say I'm fine. I know I'm funny but I've been
- 1:44:43told by people Now that I'm comical, I have good.
- 1:44:47Bring good reactions and I'd like this one.
- 1:44:49I will say I'm a good-looking ass, man.
- 1:44:51Beautiful, mustache, beautiful hair.
- 1:44:52A lot of confidence, I love the company, good.
- 1:44:55I'm a good-looking man. So I was like, you know what?
- 1:44:57I never had that confidence. So I stepped in front of the
- 1:44:59camera, put a microphone in front of my face and just owned
- 1:45:02it. And now like it's helped me in
- 1:45:04my personal life, like I'm not afraid to go up to people and
- 1:45:08just talk to them. I think the biggest fear people
- 1:45:10have is rejection and you know getting shot down and I'll ask
- 1:45:14Any person to be on my show to be on their show?
- 1:45:18Like please I just randomly message you on Reddit, I don't
- 1:45:20have 101 messages on Reddit that I just shot out because you know
- 1:45:23what? You don't somebody show could be
- 1:45:26worth, it could be fun. I meet new people.
- 1:45:27I have a good time. Have a good laugh.
- 1:45:30I have a million and one stories and I'm actually going to be
- 1:45:33doing this and take. Like I said don't just not here
- 1:45:36until Chase your dream like I'm going to be filming a
- 1:45:38docu-series in the next year. That's my mud.
- 1:45:42Okay. And instead be similar to kind
- 1:45:44of what You're doing not to jack your style here, but I want to
- 1:45:47meet I'm gonna be interviewing rent different people.
- 1:45:50Like I got my barber, my tattoo artist.
- 1:45:52I want to do a fireman and I want them to tell their stories
- 1:45:56and obviously I'll guide the interview hired needed to but I
- 1:45:58that's where I'm that's where I'm at right now.
- 1:45:59My planning is trying to figure out how I'm gonna approach the
- 1:46:04questioning and to make it all fit together, but the whole
- 1:46:06point is that we all have different stories.
- 1:46:07We all come from different places, but when it comes down
- 1:46:10to it, we can all relate to one each one, each other each other,
- 1:46:12no matter where we are who we are.
- 1:46:13What? Do whether it's being a tattoo
- 1:46:17artist, being a barber, being a fireman, being a surgeon,
- 1:46:20whoever it is, and I have this whole plan just need a need the
- 1:46:26funds to get the camera equipment, because that shit is
- 1:46:28expensive, where it always comes down to that.
- 1:46:31There's so many things, I would be doing.
- 1:46:33Now, if I had the money, but right now I'm just trying to
- 1:46:35find work, like, I gotta lose the weight to because I'm not,
- 1:46:38I'm not camera ready? I got a belly, bro.
- 1:46:39They still haven't put off that. Quarantine lie, I'm saying, so
- 1:46:43how are you? Go ahead, the gym.
- 1:46:45Uh, no skis. That's Jay.
- 1:46:46Listen, my I just found out my health insurance will pay for my
- 1:46:49gym membership. I'm like, down there is really
- 1:46:51no excuse. Now, go go.
- 1:46:53My church has begun to Jimmy be the best thing you ever did.
- 1:46:56I would suggest drinking. I've stopped drinking sodas as I
- 1:46:58drink water. Congratulations, episode my
- 1:47:01circle water. Get it now.
- 1:47:03Excitement? I need a sponsorship badly,
- 1:47:06dude. Is this water bottle?
- 1:47:08I got I mentioned it. Every episode every day,
- 1:47:10everywhere, I go. And I don't, I'm not sponsored
- 1:47:12by them, but I did, they need to sponsor me because I talk about
- 1:47:14it all the time. It's the greatest thing ever.
- 1:47:15It's what we will do to. Have you ever have you ever had
- 1:47:18meals like the stuff you squirting?
- 1:47:20Her water, and it makes it taste differently?
- 1:47:22No. Because why would you do that?
- 1:47:24Well, like what would you ruin water?
- 1:47:26Does he have like flavored water?
- 1:47:27So like this. But now is strawberry kiwi.
- 1:47:30This tastes like juice, this does not taste like water, but
- 1:47:32it's Water, zero calories, zero sugar, what?
- 1:47:37And then you have Gatorade flavor.
- 1:47:39They have have lemonade, they have iced tea, even have coffee,
- 1:47:44which was weird. Look at the orange juice.
- 1:47:47Like it tastes like, what do they taste?
- 1:47:49Just like it. And it's mind-blowing at since
- 1:47:53I've been through. I feel so great because I'm
- 1:47:54hydrated. My pee is clear now.
- 1:47:57Not yellow anymore right? I'm trying to Jake will will too
- 1:48:00as well. I'm trying to slowly give up the
- 1:48:02bag. Dude, so does so delicious.
- 1:48:06Yeah, it's so great. It's the sugar.
- 1:48:09The sugar gets you on the sugars.
- 1:48:11Bad bad. That makes it taste so good.
- 1:48:15Yes fried chicken is bad for you but goddamn it.
- 1:48:17It's delicious. Final question.
- 1:48:21For you want to be healthy and then turned down a pizza.
- 1:48:25Oh burn. Oh let listen I'll I'm on.
- 1:48:27I'm on a health kick and I work hard at the gym and shit but I
- 1:48:29still eat like takeaways and pizza and ship it because I
- 1:48:33don't believe in that whole cheat day thing.
- 1:48:34I think that's stupid as fuck what I think is the majority of
- 1:48:37the food that you consume should be healthy and should work for
- 1:48:41you. But still have the things you
- 1:48:42want to have just is this is this her In moderation.
- 1:48:45Yeah, it's not the whole, the whole thing that a lot of people
- 1:48:49say in Fitness is it all comes down to how many calories you
- 1:48:53burn versus how many you intake if like every single day I'm
- 1:48:57like, dude, went during the pandemic.
- 1:48:58I let myself go like badly. I was and you know, there was
- 1:49:02many times when I didn't move out of the house, I ate
- 1:49:04takeaways every single day, you know, it was my own fault, you
- 1:49:07know, and I let it happen and then one day I was like, fuck
- 1:49:11this. I want to be back in shape and
- 1:49:13this time, I'm going to Do it right?
- 1:49:15And I've been doing it now about 10 months and there was progress
- 1:49:19it took a lot of time and discipline and hard work, but it
- 1:49:23got there but I understood certain things weren't true that
- 1:49:26I've been told but this whole thing of like calorie counting
- 1:49:28and dislike refusing not to eat certain things or having a cheat
- 1:49:32day like, okay, that might work for certain people and everyone
- 1:49:35has a different approach. So I'm not saying it's
- 1:49:37necessarily right or wrong. But for me, it works better to
- 1:49:41just make sure that most of the time I'm eating something
- 1:49:43healthy. I have Treats here and there and
- 1:49:46yeah sometimes, yeah, we'll eat a fucking whole pizza and a
- 1:49:49bunch of other shit because fuck it, why not man, got ya little
- 1:49:52self-control. So no, I got a limit myself to
- 1:49:56one cheat day a month. That's that's been my goal here.
- 1:49:58Just one. That's all that's good.
- 1:50:00That's good discipline man. I think that's brilliant.
- 1:50:02I'm trying to because I'm a bit weaker.
- 1:50:03Don't, if I'm just giving a free reign to, I'm just gonna eat
- 1:50:07whatever. The problem is, is, like, I do
- 1:50:10take up cooking taking very seriously.
- 1:50:12So I gotta sit there and And I can make sure I get fresh
- 1:50:16ingredients and fresh meats and fresh produce when I cook, but
- 1:50:20when I'm lazy my god, dude Burger King, sounds fantastic,
- 1:50:25amazing Chinese. Food is just always so good.
- 1:50:28No, I want Chinese. God damn it.
- 1:50:30Oh man, I'm going to a Super Bowl party right after we're
- 1:50:33done with this. So I got Wings waiting for me in
- 1:50:36about one hour. So lucky guy, I'm just, I'm
- 1:50:40dropping it off at breakfast, I'm waiting, I'm saving.
- 1:50:43Oh, you are you made those? You don't you like it's like
- 1:50:46Olympic dedicating. You get easy to put balls on my
- 1:50:49team is in the Super Bowl. So I'm going to eat like a king
- 1:50:52today. Congratulations man, bullshit on
- 1:50:55this episode releases. Either look really smart for
- 1:50:57being a Chiefs fan are looking really dumb.
- 1:51:00You'll see who wins but Thomas for those tomorrow, it's Lisa's
- 1:51:05tomorrow job. Miss tomorrow, I'm jumping this
- 1:51:07device. What's the best advice you've
- 1:51:10ever know? So not the best advice.
- 1:51:12What is the biggest life lesson? You've learned?
- 1:51:14So far. Biggest life lesson.
- 1:51:17Yeah. Don't identify with a job.
- 1:51:24Hmm. Don't identify your life with
- 1:51:27your job and I see a lot of people do that as like, you
- 1:51:30know. Oh, you know, first question
- 1:51:32people ask you in an interview and I've done this enough times
- 1:51:35like what do you do or who, you know, so who are you?
- 1:51:38Who are you? What makes you you?
- 1:51:40I'll I'm you know, I'm a, I'm a car salesman or or no, you know,
- 1:51:44I'm a nurse or I'm a people identify with that work and they
- 1:51:47make it part of their everyday life because we're so,
- 1:51:49Accustomed to doing that. 925 that we lose sight of who we
- 1:51:55actually are when I worked in car sales, I realized that.
- 1:52:00I was just becoming that car guy and it wouldn't I would never
- 1:52:04separate the two and I changed who I was and I didn't like
- 1:52:07that. And it's because identified with
- 1:52:10my job and Only until that I start realizing an appreciating
- 1:52:15who I was as a person and what I do as a person and the way I
- 1:52:20act, and what I want to do, it changed the whole dynamic of my
- 1:52:24life and then add that trickled into my work life.
- 1:52:28And then I was given more respect among that because I've
- 1:52:32never once pretended to be someone, I'm not so stay true to
- 1:52:38yourself. Like I know like I made the
- 1:52:41joke, I'm a 38. And and it's so funny because
- 1:52:43that's how I met my wife, right? Like, I've mediocre dick, a one
- 1:52:46had game, right? Like, I know me being half
- 1:52:48asian, I'm going to have a stereotype, right?
- 1:52:50I know that, you know, if I go into something, like, if I try
- 1:52:55to put on a show and pretend to be someone, I'm not people read
- 1:52:58right through that shit. And I read through that shit
- 1:53:01immediately on people like, I'm a stockbroker, you're a prick.
- 1:53:08I know what you are. So like, you know, like I always
- 1:53:12make the joke. Because like I'm an asshole.
- 1:53:13I know I'm an asshole. I don't pretend to be anything
- 1:53:15other than that, but I'm not a scumbag and there's a difference
- 1:53:18and that's the way I that's way I approach my life.
- 1:53:20You know I'm saying, like I don't sugarcoat it.
- 1:53:23I know point in this time during this show that I feel like I had
- 1:53:26to pretend to be actor act, a certain way, pretend to be a
- 1:53:30certain thing. I, you know, you get me for its
- 1:53:33authenticity and I people appreciate that more than people
- 1:53:37realize. That's one thing.
- 1:53:41I that's a life lesson that I've learned is that stay true to
- 1:53:44yourself, man. It's it's it's not worth it to
- 1:53:46pretend to be something else or someone else.
- 1:53:49Completely agree. You have any upcoming projects
- 1:53:52or some final thoughts you'd like to share with our
- 1:53:54listeners. Ah, yes.
- 1:53:56Check out the end of a pod. It is a ridiculous show.
- 1:54:01If you hopefully, you find it, amusing, whatever reason, 50% of
- 1:54:04our listeners are female, I don't know why they like us.
- 1:54:07We talk stupid, it works. And I also have another show
- 1:54:11called stream it. We started it.
- 1:54:13We had to take a little break for a re for personal reasons,
- 1:54:15but now we're going to be coming back.
- 1:54:17We're starting recording in a couple weeks and xiumin is a
- 1:54:21podcast where we break down movies that are on streaming
- 1:54:23services, we give you recommendations, we review it,
- 1:54:26we break it down, we would be great it and we let you know, do
- 1:54:29we stream it or delete it? I have another show that I'm
- 1:54:33going to be working on, don't know anything about it yet.
- 1:54:35I meet with the guy tomorrow to talk about our plan so that keep
- 1:54:38an eye out for mysterious project.
- 1:54:40And in the next two years, let's be a long time.
- 1:54:44But I have that docu-series. I'm gonna be filming it, editing
- 1:54:47it doing 100% myself. No outside funding.
- 1:54:50No outside editors, no nothing. I am talking this project 100%
- 1:54:55up to me. I hope it's good enough to enter
- 1:54:56into a Sunday and thing. I don't know but I'm taking
- 1:55:00this. So seriously I think this is my
- 1:55:02calling and it's going to be a fun time but stuff should be.
- 1:55:05I'm going to start recording that probably in the next year.
- 1:55:10It's like I lose the weight first be camera-ready, make a
- 1:55:13make a plan for the interviews. Get the people for the
- 1:55:15interviews, interview travel. Then I'm going to spend like
- 1:55:19eight months for editing because that's going to be your
- 1:55:21nightmare but something fun. Something interesting,
- 1:55:25hopefully, Netflix picks me up and I'm the next face of Netflix
- 1:55:27and everyone loves me. That's the plan.
- 1:55:31I wish you luck, man. The best like I think you're too
- 1:55:33entertaining not to be picked up if I'm on.
- 1:55:36I appreciate that. You don't eat.
- 1:55:37You know it's disheartening is that Been told that before and I
- 1:55:41never really took it to heart and so like there was one person
- 1:55:44a customer of mine that I work. They were at my dealership every
- 1:55:47day for like two weeks and they told me the same thing to like
- 1:55:51you're meant for so much bigger than just working at a car
- 1:55:53dealership. And that's it's, it's stuff.
- 1:55:56Like people sell me stuff like that.
- 1:55:57It makes me feel good because I was always so afraid.
- 1:56:02As a kid to join the drama club to audition for a role in, like,
- 1:56:07I'm like acting thing or And I'm like I said, it's never too late
- 1:56:12to chase your dreams, he just keep fucking pushing, man.
- 1:56:15It's all about. What you put into the world is
- 1:56:16what you get out of it and I'm trying I'm trying, I don't know,
- 1:56:20like, I feel like I'm destined to watch other people be
- 1:56:22successful and not achieve it myself.
- 1:56:24Like, it's all about the grind, and that's the best part.
- 1:56:27Listen. Realize, this people don't care
- 1:56:30about where you at, where you're at, they care about how you got
- 1:56:33them. And that's the one thing that
- 1:56:35I'll always remember the when you, when you watch any
- 1:56:38celebrity Take the rock, for example, right?
- 1:56:41Hmm. Number one guy in Hollywood.
- 1:56:44Number one guy in WWE loved by Americans everywhere.
- 1:56:48Yes, we know him for wrestling, you know, him for that.
- 1:56:49But when he interviews he talks about it, what does he talk
- 1:56:51about? I had a dollar to my name.
- 1:56:53As a guide, seven dollars to my name is a kid, right?
- 1:56:56We remember their stories, how they got there, remember the
- 1:56:59stuff that they went through to get to where that?
- 1:57:01Yes, I as a whole TV show about the struggles, he had growing up
- 1:57:07And that's the one thing that I love is hearing people's
- 1:57:10struggles to get to where they're at, where they became,
- 1:57:14because you're not going to get anywhere in life without
- 1:57:16struggle and struggle to me is just a moment of growth.
- 1:57:20It's a period that you're going to learn and that you're going
- 1:57:22to become better because people who come out of struggle achieve
- 1:57:25greatness. And the people who don't they
- 1:57:27stay in that same hole, they're the same kids that still live.
- 1:57:29In the same small town that says oh if only if this, if that if
- 1:57:34that That and I will never, ever, ever be a person of, if
- 1:57:37that's my, that's my mentality. I cannot, I don't know if I
- 1:57:41chalk it up to sports or what not, but I am, I'm determined
- 1:57:46and I am driven. I'm the kind of person that you
- 1:57:50tell me. I can't watch me do it
- 1:57:52motherfucker because I promise you, I'll do it way better than
- 1:57:55you could have ever expected it and I want you to be blown back
- 1:57:57by it. And that's just the way that I
- 1:58:00push myself daily. I try to get my friends under
- 1:58:02the same mentality, some of them don't get it and you know, some
- 1:58:05of my friends I mean I was I won't name any but there's some
- 1:58:07of my friends who still live in the same small town and still
- 1:58:11complain while all men. If I was just so lucky.
- 1:58:13If I was this everything I've accomplished in my life has not
- 1:58:16been lucky. It has been straight, hustle,
- 1:58:19and grind, and I earned the respect from people that way.
- 1:58:22I don't, I don't people who come to me and like, respect me
- 1:58:25because I'm good on a microphone or I have really cool things.
- 1:58:28That I want you to respect me because I had no point in time
- 1:58:32ever said I'm giving up on this. I'm just not going to stop.
- 1:58:38No, I respect that, man. I knew I needed to hear this
- 1:58:41today. Thank you so much for just
- 1:58:43everything for fuel. Wisdom for your crazy stories,

- 2:00:01Listen, nothing, just let me know if you ate Plato as a kid
- 2:00:03because my co-host is 100% believing that people did do
- 2:00:07this as a child and I'm like, nobody ate Plato as kids, you're
- 2:00:10just weird. So I need you all to back me up
- 2:00:13on this. Yeah.
- 2:00:14Or if you really don't like me, I stood you just hate me for
- 2:00:17being who I am. Just agree that you ate Play-Doh
- 2:00:20because clearly you did taste it.
- 2:00:22Maybe eight, no new texture alone is disgusting.
- 2:00:28It is, that's why I was like, thank you.
