- 0:19Speaker 1: He was coming back from bet uh Not Hip Hop
- 0:22Speaker 1: Awards DT Award. Yeah, if I had a dope agind,
- 0:25Speaker 1: I was out in l A with my team Hennessey crew.
- 0:28Speaker 1: We were out there in the streets, mobbing, popping Hennessey.
- 0:31Speaker 1: We actually curated our own events eating healthy, Eating Healthy,
- 0:35Speaker 1: super healthy l A style. Um. The Gathering Spot is
- 0:37Speaker 1: opening their third location in l So he hosted a
- 0:41Speaker 1: really private Hennessey event there on Saturday. We had hit Maker,
- 0:44Speaker 1: We had so many dope people. Jacob Lattimore. I mean
- 0:47Speaker 1: it was a star stuttered room. It was amazing. The
- 0:53Speaker 1: Gathering Spot is fire, so fire. Congratulations to them on
- 0:56Speaker 1: opening their third location. Shouts everybody that came to the
- 0:58Speaker 1: Hennessey event experience. It's the Exo Rome. We had dinner
- 1:02Speaker 1: at Catch. We hosted the Never Stop, Never Settled Society.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Grand recipients are Ferrari. When I tell you, black excellence
- 1:09Speaker 1: was in the room. These are recipients of a grand
- 1:12Speaker 1: courtesy of Hennessy to help them boost up their their businesses.
- 1:17Speaker 1: So it was really dope to me, these young black entrepreneurs,
- 1:20Speaker 1: these hustlers, and to really celebrate black excellence overall. L
- 1:24Speaker 1: A was. It was beautiful, it was amazing. Well, I
- 1:26Speaker 1: didn't do all of that stuff this weekend. I did
- 1:28Speaker 1: do some clubby club clubs. It was my daughter, uh
- 1:31Speaker 1: two of my daughter's birthday, so I had Lauren she
- 1:34Speaker 1: turned nineteen, and then Brille she turned fourteen. So you know,
- 1:38Speaker 1: daddy duty over the weekend. But it was super lit,
- 1:40Speaker 1: half fun and uh, let's time. Let's let's get into
- 1:43Speaker 1: the show. Let's do it. We'll be right back with
- 1:46Speaker 1: more of the Baller Alert show. Okay, best friend, So
- 1:57Speaker 1: Ninny Leaks has found love and the action in the
- 2:00Speaker 1: arms of a married man since the loss of her husband,
- 2:03Speaker 1: Greg Lee. Now I know it sounds messy, but it's
- 2:06Speaker 1: really complicated because Nini's new boyfriend and his wife were
- 2:10Speaker 1: already separated according to him. So you know, it's not
- 2:13Speaker 1: like he was, you know, cheating on his wife. I
- 2:16Speaker 1: guess sort of technically maybe not, I don't know. Okay, Well,
- 2:20Speaker 1: the wife did found a hundred thousand dollar lawsuit against
- 2:23Speaker 1: Nini's saying that she caused her severe emotional distress by
- 2:28Speaker 1: flaunting him all over the internet. She's also sowing, wait
- 2:32Speaker 1: a minute, you can't say that that is stressful, whatever, whatever, whatever. Anyway,
- 2:37Speaker 1: she's also swing for criminal conversation, which is a legal
- 2:41Speaker 1: reason right to sue someone in the state of North Carolina,
- 2:44Speaker 1: where the lawsuit was fouled. Now. Ninie was asked in
- 2:47Speaker 1: a recent interview, how do you feel about this lawsuit
- 2:51Speaker 1: for him? I don't feel anything you feeling towards the lawsuit?
- 2:54Speaker 1: She felt against here? Nothing, nothing, because I feel like
- 2:57Speaker 1: it mind right, and I feel like I was dragged
- 3:01Speaker 1: into something that it's just not my business. They have
- 3:05Speaker 1: their own legal thing that's going on, that's between them.
- 3:07Speaker 1: I shouldn't have been brought into it, that's all. So
- 3:10Speaker 1: I really have no feelings about it. I really think
- 3:12Speaker 1: that it's something that Yanni has to handle himself. She said, Baby,
- 3:16Speaker 1: this ain't got nothing to do with me. Don't ask
- 3:19Speaker 1: cool no help. Listen, she living her life and they
- 3:22Speaker 1: are obviously enjoying friends. Don't say stuff like that anyways. Us.
- 3:30Speaker 1: She tried to super hunder thousand knows she is in
- 3:31Speaker 1: actional distress being flaunted all the way around. You want
- 3:37Speaker 1: a hundred thousand knowlarge to come back with him? Okay,
- 3:39Speaker 1: now period, I was in l A over the weekend. Friend,
- 3:43Speaker 1: let me tell you, black excellence was everywhere. This year's
- 3:47Speaker 1: BC Awards has so many memorable moments, from the fashion
- 3:51Speaker 1: or the lack thereof the signs of affections with Young
- 3:54Speaker 1: Miami literally holding a sign in support of her man,
- 3:58Speaker 1: you know, the man that she's in a relationship with,
- 4:00Speaker 1: real bad did he a k A love? Summer Walker,
- 4:04Speaker 1: Saucy Santana and Lizzo had was some of the blogs
- 4:07Speaker 1: are considering to be the most daring looks. Summer Walker
- 4:11Speaker 1: just announced her second pregnancy, but that did not keep
- 4:14Speaker 1: sists from wearing a very very revealing gold two piece.
- 4:18Speaker 1: It was very revealing. But you can definitely go to
- 4:21Speaker 1: our page as now for five a cl so you
- 4:24Speaker 1: can see all the looks. But the city's very on
- 4:27Speaker 1: big lott of surprise us all with Mariah, big hit,
- 4:32Speaker 1: big energy. Now let's not forget the fact that Old
- 4:35Speaker 1: Dirty Bastard's son, Young Dirty Bastard hit the stage in
- 4:38Speaker 1: honor of his late father as well. It was really
- 4:41Speaker 1: a full circle moment. If you know the original song,
- 4:44Speaker 1: you know the Mariah Carey song that you should know
- 4:46Speaker 1: how big this was, so congratulations are in order to
- 4:49Speaker 1: a big lotto on your win as Best New Artists.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Not only to sist accept this award with tears in
- 4:55Speaker 1: her eyes, but I really liked her message because she
- 4:58Speaker 1: actually added, it's giving. Bitch is given pro choice, and
- 5:02Speaker 1: obviously that is, you know, a shot at the Supreme
- 5:05Speaker 1: Court's recent decision to overturn Row versus Wade UM two.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I definitely want to talk about that, but I do
- 5:14Speaker 1: want to say before we talk about the Row versus Way. Uh.
- 5:17Speaker 1: I've been a fan of a lot of those since
- 5:18Speaker 1: she was sixteen, UM. From the rap game, she was
- 5:22Speaker 1: my favorite. Of course she won, UM, and I've just
- 5:26Speaker 1: been It's just I'm just so happy to see somebody
- 5:28Speaker 1: that I've seen literally grow up before my eyes and
- 5:32Speaker 1: she's still the same person. UM. And she thanks her
- 5:36Speaker 1: team one time for Brandon, one time for Vane. I'm
- 5:38Speaker 1: super proud of her. I'm always gonna be proud of her.
- 5:41Speaker 1: But that Role Versus Wade thing is uh. You know,
- 5:45Speaker 1: as a father of three daughters, UM, and a wife
- 5:49Speaker 1: and growing up with three sisters, there's a lot of
- 5:52Speaker 1: women in my family. UM, so I'm definitely pro woman
- 5:56Speaker 1: and a lot of a lot of my stances, um,
- 5:58Speaker 1: And I don't think anybody concluding government should tell a
- 6:00Speaker 1: woman what to do with their bodies and period. There
- 6:04Speaker 1: were actually several people who, you know, what women just told?
- 6:07Speaker 1: What do women just stopped having sex with men? I'm
- 6:09Speaker 1: trying to tell you what if women like that's what
- 6:12Speaker 1: y'all deserved? Yeah, what if women just stopped having sex
- 6:14Speaker 1: with men? What if women like you guys, What if
- 6:17Speaker 1: you guys had took a stance on a lot of things.
- 6:20Speaker 1: I think the laws would change because a lot of
- 6:22Speaker 1: people who are making the decisions or men, old Caucasian
- 6:26Speaker 1: men that don't know nothing about today's times now. Janelle
- 6:29Speaker 1: Munday even shot up a middle finger at the U. S.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Supreme Court during the show because she had, you know,
- 6:34Speaker 1: everybody's feeling the same way. Tammy Roman said um that
- 6:37Speaker 1: she had her own personal experience with this row versus
- 6:40Speaker 1: way things. She said, it's differently for me because in
- 6:43Speaker 1: I made the decision to terminate my pregnancy and I
- 6:45Speaker 1: was thankful that I had that option. I think people
- 6:48Speaker 1: are missing the point. It's not about being pro life
- 6:50Speaker 1: and it's not about bringing pro choice. It's about this
- 6:52Speaker 1: country providing the freedom for people to make decisions and
- 6:55Speaker 1: be whatever they want to be. That is so real.
- 6:59Speaker 1: We had people like Eva, Marcel, Victoria Monet, Everybody's trying
- 7:03Speaker 1: to don on this and that was some of the
- 7:04Speaker 1: things that I think that may have easily been overlooked
- 7:07Speaker 1: because the BT Awards this year, they did their thing.
- 7:10Speaker 1: There were so many memorable moments. But I'm so glad
- 7:12Speaker 1: that so many people celebrated back black excellence and really
- 7:16Speaker 1: use their platform to make a stance, let their stands
- 7:19Speaker 1: be on. Yeah, Texas as a state has a lot
- 7:23Speaker 1: going on. Usually it's always Florida got something going on.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Texas was y'all taking the heat right now? So Tommy,
- 7:29Speaker 1: what was this whole thing? What's the excitement about Brandy
- 7:32Speaker 1: going on stage with Jack Harlow? Okay, so Jack Harlow
- 7:36Speaker 1: did not know that Brandy and ray J were siblings.
- 7:39Speaker 1: So when you know, when that happened, it was kind
- 7:41Speaker 1: of okay, it was like a funny ha ha key
- 7:44Speaker 1: key moment because Jack Harlow was really in the in
- 7:48Speaker 1: the interview I forget where what interview he was on.
- 7:50Speaker 1: He did not know that Brandy and Ray j were sibling.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Who's sister serious? I know, Yes, nobody's ever told me
- 8:07Speaker 1: that in my life out today, nobody ever told me that. Listen,
- 8:14Speaker 1: it was to Roggi p Henson's hair. Her outfit changes, baby,
- 8:18Speaker 1: they was so frequent, hard to keep. Yes, there were
- 8:22Speaker 1: moments in the show that gave her, you know, like
- 8:24Speaker 1: longer breaks to reinvent her look, but a lot of
- 8:26Speaker 1: them required her to like literally speed off the stage.
- 8:29Speaker 1: There's some behind the scenes images of her floating around
- 8:32Speaker 1: the Internet where she literally was like sprinting backstage to
- 8:35Speaker 1: make sure that she You don't get these outfit sick.
- 8:37Speaker 1: These things are very difficult people. I don't think people
- 8:40Speaker 1: really understand how big of a job she did and
- 8:44Speaker 1: how well she did it. And she did it with
- 8:45Speaker 1: Grace too, So she's the amazing job core the ray
- 8:49Speaker 1: with the all dentim outfit. I was feeling that. I
- 8:51Speaker 1: feel like you had a wide variety of different looks.
- 8:54Speaker 1: I mean, you had Summer Walker who justin out for pregnancy,
- 8:57Speaker 1: came out there, showed off one most congratulation, Larry I
- 9:07Speaker 1: was not bad at that. All Jazz, the Suliman, Kicky Palmer,
- 9:10Speaker 1: Billy Porter, Kirk Franklin Tims shout out to Tims of
- 9:14Speaker 1: representing Nigeria, Legos, Nigeria. I love her speech. Thank you
- 9:18Speaker 1: so much for this. Thank you so much. It's an
- 9:20Speaker 1: honor to I mean, this is my first award show
- 9:24Speaker 1: that I'm winning something, and I just want to use
- 9:28Speaker 1: this opportunity to speak to every single young old whatever,
- 9:35Speaker 1: every single woman watching this, every single girl watching this
- 9:40Speaker 1: at home where I'm from. Things like this don't happen
- 9:43Speaker 1: when I'm from Legos, Nigeria. This is this is a dream.
- 9:49Speaker 1: And as you're watching me, I want you to imagine
- 9:51Speaker 1: yourself as me, because you are meant to be here too.
- 9:55Speaker 1: And so I'm I'm dedicating this to every single young woman,
- 10:00Speaker 1: every artist, everybody that is striving on dad to dream.
- 10:04Speaker 1: I dare you to get up from your seat and
- 10:07Speaker 1: go for your dream and five for yourself. Because you can't.
- 10:11Speaker 1: You can't do it, You can't do it, you can't
- 10:13Speaker 1: be here. I take this as a sign. If you
- 10:16Speaker 1: were waiting for a sign from God, take this as
- 10:19Speaker 1: that sign. Beautiful, beautiful speech. Yes, yes, Tim's congratulations Best
- 10:26Speaker 1: International Act at this year's The Easy Awards. Man, let
- 10:29Speaker 1: me tell you something Africa stand up. Okay, we Africa's
- 10:33Speaker 1: talent is really shining and we're doing that. We're doing
- 10:36Speaker 1: what we're supposed to do. Yeah, I agree with that.
- 10:39Speaker 1: But one thing we're not doing correctly is hurting each other. Um.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Prayers up the shaka Zulu disturbing the beach. Ludacritis, you
- 10:47Speaker 1: may know him as Ludacristis manager. We may know him
- 10:49Speaker 1: as that mentor and friend here in Atlanta. Um, definitely,
- 10:54Speaker 1: I told you this on the way to work to uh,
- 10:56Speaker 1: you know, novel fa a t l Atlanta two to
- 10:59Speaker 1: six into it too. Um. I wake up and I
- 11:03Speaker 1: checked my phone before I actually wake up and thank
- 11:05Speaker 1: God for opening my eyes and go brush my teeth
- 11:07Speaker 1: and check on my wife. I wake up and check
- 11:09Speaker 1: my phone because lately it's just been one incident after incident.
- 11:14Speaker 1: So I wake up and check my phone because within
- 11:16Speaker 1: the last couple of months, it's always been something going
- 11:18Speaker 1: on to people I know, and that scares me. It
- 11:22Speaker 1: is really scary. I mean I was coming back from
- 11:25Speaker 1: l A. I was in l a b et weekend
- 11:26Speaker 1: out there with Hennessey working on some activations, and I
- 11:30Speaker 1: took a red eye to Atlanta. So I did not
- 11:33Speaker 1: know anything until I got up this morning, and I
- 11:36Speaker 1: think it's so tragic that people have access to guns
- 11:41Speaker 1: right now before they have access to health care. I
- 11:43Speaker 1: don't think that we really understand a lot of the
- 11:47Speaker 1: the mental and emotional anguish that a lot of people
- 11:49Speaker 1: are going through from having to deal with the effects
- 11:52Speaker 1: of COVID nineteen. While some of us are still living
- 11:54Speaker 1: our lives and we're traveling, and we go out to
- 11:56Speaker 1: eat when we want to, and we have family and friends,
- 11:59Speaker 1: we don't realize us that there are millions of people
- 12:01Speaker 1: around us, within our own cities that did not come
- 12:05Speaker 1: that aren't living the same way we're living. A lot
- 12:07Speaker 1: of them are still feeling the effects of being isolated,
- 12:10Speaker 1: feeling lonely, not being able to take care of their
- 12:12Speaker 1: loved ones. It is a scary time, and I think
- 12:15Speaker 1: people are acting out. I think it's really time for
- 12:18Speaker 1: us to focus on healing our own communities, because I
- 12:20Speaker 1: am sick and tired of this black on black crime
- 12:23Speaker 1: and we're sitting here with a handout asking for the
- 12:25Speaker 1: government to do this and do that. At this point,
- 12:26Speaker 1: we need to realize it's our time. We need to start,
- 12:30Speaker 1: definitely start policing our own. We definitely need to start
- 12:32Speaker 1: holding each other accountable. We need to look at each
- 12:34Speaker 1: other as not a threat. We need to look at
- 12:37Speaker 1: each other in some type of form of a dear man.
- 12:39Speaker 1: We need to learn how to handle conflict better, more maturely. Uh.
- 12:43Speaker 1: It's just really making me upset that we have to
- 12:45Speaker 1: resort the violence and this type of way where one
- 12:48Speaker 1: person was killed and three people total was shot like it.
- 12:52Speaker 1: I mean, I don't understand what type of what do
- 12:55Speaker 1: we need to do as uh, you know, as a community,
- 12:58Speaker 1: because I don't see this happening in other uh ethnicities.
- 13:04Speaker 1: I don't see this, and we're we're becoming the minority
- 13:08Speaker 1: at a very alarming rate. And that's something has to
- 13:10Speaker 1: happen for us to figure this out. It's time for
- 13:13Speaker 1: black folks here. I know that that there were plenty
- 13:15Speaker 1: of people in l A that were devastated by this.
- 13:17Speaker 1: By Shaka being shot. This happened at some point during
- 13:20Speaker 1: the BET Awards. It seems like so um to everyone
- 13:23Speaker 1: who loves him, cares about him, values him, or even
- 13:26Speaker 1: just understands his contributions to the industry. Please make sure
- 13:29Speaker 1: that you are sending his family love and light, keep
- 13:31Speaker 1: him lifted. As of now, we know that he is
- 13:33Speaker 1: doing okay. I know that he had surgery. We're hoping
- 13:36Speaker 1: him a speedy recovery. Listen and put the guns down.
- 13:39Speaker 1: I want to say, Atlanta, put the guns down. The
- 13:41Speaker 1: reality is that violence is spiking all across the nation. Everybody,
- 13:46Speaker 1: please look out for yourself, look out from one another.
- 13:49Speaker 1: This was a special edition of the Bolo Show podcast.
- 13:52Speaker 1: We wanted to highlight the BT Awards and also to
- 13:55Speaker 1: send love and and warm wishes to Shaka's family. All right,
- 13:58Speaker 1: let's take a quick commercial breaks more with the Baller
- 14:00Speaker 1: Show podcast available everywhere you get your pockets. We'll be
- 14:03Speaker 1: right back with more of the Baller Alert. Yall, and
- 14:10Speaker 1: it is now time for Ballermail. Hey Rary and ball Alert.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I am a sixty year old woman and I am lonely.
- 14:20Speaker 1: I have been married for the past thirty years and
- 14:22Speaker 1: I lost my husband three years ago. I am approaching
- 14:25Speaker 1: sixty one, but honey, I do not look like it.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Just need some dating help. I've been trying to find
- 14:31Speaker 1: a man at church, but them you have turkeys ain't
- 14:34Speaker 1: worth it at church. I'm starting to lose hope and
- 14:40Speaker 1: I missed my husband. Damn. I love you guys Ball.
- 14:44Speaker 1: I love you guys Ball Alert podcast. My daughter sends
- 14:47Speaker 1: me the links every week for your episodes. So I
- 14:49Speaker 1: tried my luck board and lonely. Please help. Okay, Well, friend,
- 14:55Speaker 1: you might have to, you know, explore maybe some untraditional
- 14:58Speaker 1: styles of dating. You know, maybe you have less expectations
- 15:02Speaker 1: for someone. If you go on a date with somebody
- 15:03Speaker 1: on Monday, you had a great time. Great, you had
- 15:05Speaker 1: a good time. If you don't hear from him on Tuesday,
- 15:07Speaker 1: who cares you? You here from him on Tuesday. Maybe
- 15:10Speaker 1: you have another date with somebody else on Thursday, or
- 15:12Speaker 1: a great conversation with somebody else on Saturday. You gotta
- 15:15Speaker 1: learn to just enjoy the experiences that you do have
- 15:17Speaker 1: instead of trying to make everything a serious relationship. Enjoy
- 15:22Speaker 1: getting to know people, and if somebody sticks around, they
- 15:24Speaker 1: will stick around. That's all I got. Well, Sue Solo
- 15:29Speaker 1: is ninety nine point nine percent right, But you know
- 15:32Speaker 1: what she left out that one, that point one percent.
- 15:36Speaker 1: You're trying to date some miliar age, ma'am. Stop dealing
- 15:39Speaker 1: with the dudes and need penny loafers with the penny
- 15:42Speaker 1: in the loafer you feel me, you need to gonna
- 15:44Speaker 1: get you a man that's in the forties. Okay, if
- 15:47Speaker 1: you do not look like it, why don't you date
- 15:49Speaker 1: somebody that look like what you look like? You look
- 15:52Speaker 1: like you you sound like you say you're about to
- 15:54Speaker 1: be sent to one, but maybe you look like forty one.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Why don't you gonna get you a little forty one,
- 15:58Speaker 1: your old thunding, and he gonna put that thigh you yang,
- 16:02Speaker 1: and that thigh ain't so that thing's gonna start thinging again,
- 16:06Speaker 1: and you're gonna think about your husband here and there,
- 16:09Speaker 1: but he's gonna definitely take your mind off of that. Okay, Lee,
- 16:12Speaker 1: Like it seems like you just need to get your
- 16:14Speaker 1: freak on. Uh, what'sn't that stella grew back? Donna get
- 16:19Speaker 1: your little forty one, your old man, you feel me,
- 16:22Speaker 1: that's gonna put that thing back in pocket? Okay, because
- 16:25Speaker 1: I know you got a little Kyle Webs down there
- 16:27Speaker 1: and you need to get it dusted off. So start
- 16:29Speaker 1: looking a little younger. You probably skewing a little high,
- 16:32Speaker 1: gonna hear and skew a little little a little lower
- 16:35Speaker 1: for that, and you might want to even try thirty
- 16:37Speaker 1: nine thirty nine to forty nine. That should be your
- 16:41Speaker 1: little age bracket for you to get you a little young,
- 16:43Speaker 1: little tender roni in your age. Okay, by time for
- 16:47Speaker 1: us to get up out of here soon. Let me
- 16:48Speaker 1: get some shout out man oncen't get shout out to
- 16:51Speaker 1: everybody that was out in l A b ET. Congratulations
- 16:54Speaker 1: on an amazing production. Honestly, this year's b EC Awards
- 16:58Speaker 1: was super memorable, super powerful. I love the messages, I
- 17:01Speaker 1: love the production. Y'all did that and I'm just so
- 17:03Speaker 1: proud to have been any bit of of this Black
- 17:06Speaker 1: Excellence weekend. Even though I did not go to the
- 17:09Speaker 1: war show, I was already on my flight back. Let's
- 17:12Speaker 1: go next. I would love to go because, let me
- 17:13Speaker 1: tell you the way to be eat Awards going to fashion.
