• 0:18
Speaker 1: have never heard those words before. And that's the new
• 0:21
Speaker 1: Toxic Avenger trailer he was playing. That's right, But it
• 0:27
Speaker 1: opens this this weekend. I believe Rebecca went and saw
• 0:31
Speaker 1: it a couple of nights ago at a screening and
• 0:34
Speaker 1: said it was terrific, a lot of fun. So I'd
• 0:37
Speaker 1: show you that trailer, but I can't. I can show
• 0:40
Speaker 1: you this trailer. It's a Futurama season thirteen. Yeah you

  Speaker 1: believe it.
• 0:45
  Speaker 2: Don't please?
• 0:53
  Speaker 1: Wow?
• 0:54
  Speaker 2: Wow, good thing.
• 0:55
Speaker 3: Those spikes retracted at the last second.
• 0:57
Speaker 4: As far as I know, we face global extinction if
• 1:01
Speaker 4: we don't act now.
• 1:03
Speaker 2: I'm going to the lobby now in the middle of
• 1:06
Speaker 2: this critical debate on behalf of the religious community.
• 1:10
Speaker 1: Actually, I'll go with you.
• 1:14
Speaker 2: How are you two so perfect for each other?
• 1:16
  Speaker 4: Which is what?
• 1:18

• 1:22
Speaker 4: You single? I'm afraid not oh as the bender unnk

• 1:40
Speaker 1: Yes, sir Bender makes himself as big as Godzilla and
• 1:43
Speaker 1: then fights Godzilla. Yeah, Mom is back, Robot Devil is back.
• 1:53
  Speaker 4: What's USB?
• 1:55
Speaker 2: I think it was the new name after the collapse
• 1:58
  Speaker 2: of the US.
• 1:59
Speaker 4: A USB makes sense.
• 2:02
  Speaker 1: That's that's a that's a great joke. September fifteenth on
• 2:06
Speaker 1: Hulu and they're gonna drop them all at once, so
• 2:09
Speaker 1: you can binger all right on your Hulu. Okay, so
• 2:14
Speaker 1: there's Futurama. Now, this is very interesting. I think this
• 2:17
Speaker 1: is something that your son will be interested in. Well,
• 2:21
Speaker 1: there is a documentary about the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and
• 2:28
Speaker 1: it's it's talking about how influential this film is, how
• 2:33
Speaker 1: it is to get to the annals of horror. So
• 2:36
Speaker 1: it Patton Oswalt is all through it.
• 2:40
Speaker 2: My first viewing of Texas Chainsaw Masacre happened on my
• 2:43
Speaker 2: friend's ancient early eighties VCR. The title sounds like you're
• 2:50
Speaker 2: chewing on flash Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
• 2:57
Speaker 1: And it's it's called chain reaction.
• 3:00
Speaker 4: Texas changel Massacre was always presented to me as a
• 3:03
Speaker 4: test are you hardcore enough? And that that was part
• 3:05
Speaker 4: of the danger and excitement, the feeling that you were
• 3:08
Speaker 4: watching something that you weren't meant to see.
• 3:11
Speaker 3: I admire this movie so much. It's got a classic
• 3:14
Speaker 3: primal horror movie feel to its.
• 3:18
  Speaker 1: Stephen King, but it's it's by a guy who's made
• 3:25
Speaker 1: a few other documentaries.
• 3:27
Speaker 2: About unnerving in it, like even a long shot of Higway.
• 3:30
  Speaker 2: Then there's a dead armadillo.
• 3:34
Speaker 3: In some ways, I see a book like Blood Meridian
• 3:38
Speaker 3: by Kormick McCarthy and Texas Chainsaw Massacre as fraternal twins,
• 3:44
Speaker 3: the Smarder House, the bull Gun.
• 3:48
Speaker 4: I think of that moment in the van where the
• 3:50
Speaker 4: hitchhikers shows them the photographs of the meat, very heavily reminiscent.
• 3:55
Speaker 4: I think of Francis Bacon and it's there's leather face
• 4:00
  Speaker 4: this for me.
• 4:03
Speaker 1: Oh, it's just uh, it's just all these people who
• 4:06
Speaker 1: are saying this is an important film and shouldn't be dismissed,
• 4:09
Speaker 1: and who were influenced by it.
• 4:11
Speaker 2: You heard the shot in Texas when she gets up
• 4:13
Speaker 2: off the swing and walks into the house. She's literally
• 4:16
Speaker 2: walking into a slaughter house. She doesn't know that, but
• 4:18
  Speaker 2: we do.
• 4:22
Speaker 1: It's going to be released in theaters in New York
• 4:25
Speaker 1: and LA on September. Yeah, September nineteenth and then expand
• 4:29
Speaker 1: to more cities September twenty sixth. Than if the Assault
• 4:32
Speaker 1: Lake Film Commission is listening or the Salt Lake Film Society,
• 4:37
Speaker 1: we'd love for them that she got. It's always on
• 4:42
Speaker 1: top of stuff like that, I hope so, but yeah,
• 4:45
Speaker 1: this is something that I would very much like to see. Oh,
• 4:48
Speaker 1: K Pop Demon Hunters.
• 4:50
Speaker 4: I heard this this morning.
• 4:52
Speaker 1: This is really weird. It's it's been on Netflix for
• 4:56
Speaker 1: a couple of months and it's been extremely popular. Well,
• 5:00
Speaker 1: they released it in theaters this past weekend, two days only,
• 5:03
Speaker 1: just a special event, a special event sing along version,
• 5:08
Speaker 1: and it brought in let's see eight like eighteen million dollars.
• 5:14
Speaker 1: It was number one this week right, eighteen to twenty
• 5:16
Speaker 1: million dollars. It was in one thousand, seven hundred North
• 5:19
Speaker 1: American theaters, the highest showing of any movie over the
• 5:23
Speaker 1: August twenty second through twenty fourth weekend.
• 5:27
Speaker 4: And it's been out for a while.
• 5:29
Speaker 1: It's been on netflid for quite a while, and right
• 5:33
Speaker 1: now apparently on Netflix. The singalong version of K Pop
• 5:38
Speaker 1: Demon Hunters is there.
• 5:39
Speaker 4: And your nieces are all over this.
• 5:41
Speaker 1: My nieces love this. Yeah, the music and everything. They're
• 5:46
Speaker 1: listening to it over and over again. Let's see, here
• 5:50
Speaker 1: we go. The Highlander remake continues to get casting. Okay,
• 5:55
Speaker 1: we get of course, Harry Chested Superman is the Highlander.
• 5:59
Speaker 1: Henry Henry Russell Crowe is his dad. I guess Dave
• 6:03
Speaker 1: Bautista is the bad guy. And now Karen Gillen has
• 6:07
Speaker 1: joined the cast. She will be uh, let's see, she
• 6:12
Speaker 1: will play Heather McLeod's mortal wife and love of his life. Now,
• 6:17
Speaker 1: if successful, this may be the third franchise to her resume,
• 6:21
Speaker 1: because of course she's a Nebula and Guardians of the Galaxy,
• 6:24
Speaker 1: the Avengers, She's in the Jumanji movies and now this one.
• 6:30
Speaker 1: So she's she's doing very well. Good for her and
• 6:34
Speaker 1: she is delightful. Let's see. Let's oh Fallout. Yeah, it's
• 6:41
Speaker 1: a December December, Okay, December seventeenth. And remember they dropped
• 6:47
Speaker 1: all the episodes at once for season one, Yeah, so
• 6:50
Speaker 1: you could binge it. They are not going to do
• 6:52
Speaker 1: that this time. They're going to make you wait. So
• 6:55
Speaker 1: the first one will be December seventeenth, the season finale
• 6:59
Speaker 1: February fourth for Fallout season two, So that means you
• 7:03
Speaker 1: have to wait There are some shows that I want
• 7:06
Speaker 1: to binge, and fall Out is one of them. Yeah,
• 7:10
Speaker 1: some shows I'm okay going week to week, but that
• 7:13
Speaker 1: fall Out. For some reason, it just feels better if
• 7:16
  Speaker 1: you binge.
