Transcript
- 0:07Speaker 1: Welcome back to Vanity Fair. My name is Chris Farah,
- 0:10Speaker 1: and this is part two of me talking about 90
- 0:13Speaker 1: Day Fiancé. This is The Other Way We Call It Toe,
- 0:17Speaker 1: season eight, episode one, part two. Hi, it's the premiere.
- 0:20Speaker 1: We're still talking. Okay, let's get in. We have my babes,
- 0:28Speaker 1: Allie and John. Okay, they are the couple that right
- 0:34Speaker 1: now I have been waiting to talk about it. So
- 0:38Speaker 1: I save them for this. Their picture looks distinctly AI-like.
- 0:44Speaker 1: She's pregnant. She's 28 from Singapore. He's 49 from Connecticut.
- 0:54Speaker 1: In a way, it gives Juliana and Michael... So we
- 1:01Speaker 1: open on women, a particular arm with the like Von
- 1:06Speaker 1: Cleef red clover bracelet. She's pushing on women's hips like
- 1:11Speaker 1: in a Lamaze or pregnancy style class. And we are
- 1:16Speaker 1: introduced to Allie, which is interesting because Allie is the
- 1:21Speaker 1: quote unquote foreigner. And most of the time we get
- 1:24Speaker 1: introduced to the American first because we're American. So we
- 1:28Speaker 1: always put the American first. They're the most important because
- 1:32Speaker 1: they're an American. So we start with Dan because they're
- 1:35Speaker 1: the most important person. The other person doesn't even really exist.
- 1:37Speaker 1: It's a figment of the American person's imagination. Whatever happens
- 1:40Speaker 1: to them doesn't really make a difference. We put our
- 1:43Speaker 1: stock on the American. That's right. Okay. Was that a trope,
- 1:50Speaker 1: what I just did? Yes. Is that my fault? Yes. Okay.
- 1:54Speaker 1: So Allie is super beautiful. I mean, gorgeous. Gorgeous lady.
- 2:01Speaker 1: serving face, I mean, also serving body, yaddy, yaddy, pregnant,
- 2:06Speaker 1: serving pregnant body, yaddy, yaddy. But yeah, really a stunning lady.
- 2:11Speaker 1: And also this entire storyline happening in Singapore has made
- 2:16Speaker 1: me realize how I know not anything of truly what
- 2:20Speaker 1: Singapore looks like. I knew, you know, in some sort
- 2:26Speaker 1: of vague way that Singapore had a lot of money
- 2:32Speaker 1: as a country and therefore had fancy, nice things. Kind
- 2:37Speaker 1: of like how I think Dubai does. They just have money.
- 2:40Speaker 1: And so they take care of their cities, I guess,
- 2:43Speaker 1: or some parts of the cities. I'm sure they're also slums.
- 2:46Speaker 1: You know, I mean, I haven't been to either place.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Can you tell? And obviously the other thing about Singapore
- 2:51Speaker 1: I know is that they have very harsh laws and
- 2:55Speaker 1: they cane or whip you or one of the fucking
- 2:58Speaker 1: lashings kind of horror. I mean, and there's just been
- 3:02Speaker 1: Stories over the years, I remember not any of them
- 3:06Speaker 1: particularly because there, you know, is a news cycle that
- 3:10Speaker 1: pumps out. Horror campaign after horror campaign, and then we
- 3:14Speaker 1: forget them mere weeks later. But I remember as an
- 3:19Speaker 1: American hearing, so-and-so got... found with a little bit of
- 3:24Speaker 1: weed or so-and-so was, I don't know, honey, wasn't, I
- 3:27Speaker 1: don't know if they have a feel about gay people.
- 3:28Speaker 1: I'm not quite sure what they do over there, but
- 3:30Speaker 1: it does feel a little very fucking strict. Okay. At
- 3:32Speaker 1: the same time. Wow. What a beautifully developed city. Their airport.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Oh my God. Am I looking at the fucking Jetsons?
- 3:43Speaker 1: Was the Jetsons based upon Singapore? I mean, what is
- 3:46Speaker 1: how it looks futuristic. Okay. Okay. Let me go back.
- 3:50Speaker 1: So she's obviously in this class and she has brought
- 3:53Speaker 1: her friend, Megan, who is like a fun friend who
- 3:57Speaker 1: spills that her affirmation is that she wants to be
- 4:00Speaker 1: a hot milf. So we're like, oh, this girl's fun. She's,
- 4:03Speaker 1: you know, cute. We already knew that she was beautiful,
- 4:05Speaker 1: but like she has a fun personality. Then she's like,
- 4:09Speaker 1: when I was young, honey, I tore it up. And
- 4:13Speaker 1: we see a picture of her like in the club.
- 4:15Speaker 1: And she certainly is just like, slutty dancing with her
- 4:19Speaker 1: girlfriend in like kind of lesbionic ways, you know, which
- 4:23Speaker 1: she's allowed to do, you know, God bless her. But
- 4:26Speaker 1: she definitely, yeah, she, I mean, she isn't puritanical in
- 4:35Speaker 1: any way. What it looks like is what I'm saying
- 4:39Speaker 1: with how she is. The thing is now she'll turn
- 4:42Speaker 1: puritanical against him about vaping and whatnot. We'll jump around.
- 4:45Speaker 1: But she certainly looks like she's had a lot of fun.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Now she tells the story where she went to a
- 4:52Speaker 1: bar once and she saw this American. And so she
- 4:59Speaker 1: started talking to the American guy and then they went
- 5:02Speaker 1: home and it was the best sex she's ever had.
- 5:10Speaker 1: And we're like, okay. And then it cuts to him.
- 5:18Speaker 1: And we realize, oh, it's fun editing. They start flash dance.
- 5:22Speaker 1: He's welding. What a feeling. There's sparks literally from the
- 5:29Speaker 1: welding coming out of his machinery. He takes that off.
- 5:38Speaker 1: He does machinery by making sonar equipment. is what he does.
- 5:48Speaker 1: He calls himself a mad sonar scientist genius. He has
- 5:55Speaker 1: very thick glasses, very, very thick glasses. Now it's so
- 6:05Speaker 1: interesting because I just want to ask like any of
- 6:10Speaker 1: the following questions. I'm so sorry. I don't know a
- 6:13Speaker 1: lot about how thick thick modern day glasses are still
- 6:20Speaker 1: and have to be to right the wrong of any
- 6:24Speaker 1: certain extreme eye prescription. But doesn't it feel like if
- 6:32Speaker 1: you are someone who can make sonar sound equipment that
- 6:35Speaker 1: we haven't come up with a new piece of fucking
- 6:39Speaker 1: glass that can fix those eyes without making you look
- 6:46Speaker 1: fish eyed. I don't know what John looks like. Like,
- 6:50Speaker 1: I know what his form looks like. I know what
- 6:53Speaker 1: his form looks like. He's in shape. He's in shape.
- 6:57Speaker 1: She is like, I saw him and he was a daddy.
- 7:01Speaker 1: And I loved it. And we're like, okay. He's in, yes,
- 7:05Speaker 1: like I said, shape. I cannot tell you what I
- 7:09Speaker 1: think his face looks like. I just like can't. I mean,
- 7:12Speaker 1: his glasses overwhelm my being. And I say that because
- 7:21Speaker 1: it's kind of like Emma's wigs, right? Where you can't, like,
- 7:27Speaker 1: what is that person? I cannot tell past that. Like,
- 7:30Speaker 1: it takes up everything. And then I would need, like,
- 7:34Speaker 1: if that was removed, it would look like a completely
- 7:38Speaker 1: different person. It's kind of like Marissa's ex, Michael, and
- 7:41Speaker 1: his hat. It is so interesting how... different people can
- 7:49Speaker 1: look with just a mere accessory, a mere accessory, some bangs.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Sometimes bangs will cover a multitude of sins. A hat
- 8:02Speaker 1: will cover a multitude of sins. Those are, those, honey,
- 8:05Speaker 1: those glasses are sins. Okay. I just don't know what
- 8:08Speaker 1: his face looks like. Okay. Um, She also goes to say, like,
- 8:14Speaker 1: she met him at a bar. She, like, obviously saw
- 8:16Speaker 1: that he was old, white, and American. And she was like,
- 8:19Speaker 1: and so I asked him out because I wanted a
- 8:20Speaker 1: free meal. And we're supposed to be, and she's like,
- 8:22Speaker 1: and he gave off daddy vibes, like I said. And
- 8:24Speaker 1: we're supposed to, I think, all be like, they're adorable. Oh, cute.
- 8:31Speaker 1: What a love story. What is this, love actually? It's
- 8:36Speaker 1: so romantic. Okay, like... I just can't wait. This is,
- 8:46Speaker 1: I cannot wait. They also show a video. This is
- 8:51Speaker 1: so cringy of them where he puts like prosciutto on
- 8:56Speaker 1: his nose and she's like, he's always telling jokes, like
- 8:59Speaker 1: fun dad jokes. I laugh and he's always making me laugh.
- 9:02Speaker 1: So he puts that prosciutto on his face. He's like,
- 9:05Speaker 1: hello clutteries, which is, you know, a Silence of the
- 9:09Speaker 1: Lambs reference. that this 49-year-old man did for this 28-year-old girl.
- 9:21Speaker 1: She has to be like, ah! I love it. Oh, no,
- 9:39Speaker 1: I love it. I love it. Do I do love it?
- 9:42Speaker 1: I foresee it. I foresee how cringy this is. It's
- 9:46Speaker 1: for him that it's cringy. I'm going to go on.
- 9:49Speaker 1: I unfortunately think it might be my favorite kind of
- 9:55Speaker 1: 90 day fiance couple is this exact couple. It's the
- 10:00Speaker 1: older white male who has lived a life who cannot
- 10:06Speaker 1: believe his luck that a young lady has become obsessed
- 10:13Speaker 1: with him or even the smell of his armpits or whatever.
- 10:16Speaker 1: It's the trope though. And he will give up everything,
- 10:20Speaker 1: including his dignity, And she will eat him alive while
- 10:29Speaker 1: his ex-wife watches. I cried a little bit just now
- 10:42Speaker 1: because I love it so much. Because I can't wait.
- 10:48Speaker 1: And I think that that makes me, and I just
- 10:50Speaker 1: want to say this, like a toxic person But, don't
- 11:01Speaker 1: you know that you're toxic? You know? Okay. Also, low-key,
- 11:09Speaker 1: their meet-cute story, I don't know if I buy every
- 11:14Speaker 1: moment of it. He was like, yeah, you know, I'm
- 11:18Speaker 1: this sonar scientist, so I was, you know, working across
- 11:22Speaker 1: the Asian areas because of that. And that bar and everything.
- 11:25Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know how they met, but
- 11:28Speaker 1: I don't know if it's that. I don't know. I'm
- 11:31Speaker 1: not quite sure. Seems a little convenient, doesn't it? Maybe
- 11:40Speaker 1: some other things happened to kind of like help that
- 11:42Speaker 1: come along. I don't know. What do you think? So
- 11:46Speaker 1: then it shows a picture of his two sons who
- 11:48Speaker 1: certainly look, you know, beautiful. in their teens or beyond,
- 11:54Speaker 1: one son has decided not to show his face on camera.
- 11:57Speaker 1: The smart one. The one that the mom was like,
- 12:02Speaker 1: that's my son. Okay. I'm just kidding. I shouldn't say that.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Both kids are smart, but you know what I'm saying?
- 12:07Speaker 1: One son doesn't have a son. Okay. The other son's fine. Okay.
- 12:09Speaker 1: God bless. That probably is mean to me. I mean,
- 12:11Speaker 1: but I'm for some reason in a snarky mood. God
- 12:14Speaker 1: bless both sons. I really, and I'm going to show
- 12:19Speaker 1: a lot of love for this ex-wife. Here we are.
- 12:21Speaker 1: So We're back though. We're still talking about Allie who's
- 12:26Speaker 1: pregnant and she's like, yeah. Obviously she had met John
- 12:31Speaker 1: in the bar and he is now talking to her.
- 12:34Speaker 1: She knows a lot about his financial situation and his
- 12:38Speaker 1: living situations. And she's already sort of been able to
- 12:42Speaker 1: tell him what to fucking do and over and over again.
- 12:45Speaker 1: She knows that he's in business with his father and
- 12:48Speaker 1: that he does his own thing. She knows that of course,
- 12:53Speaker 1: he lives with his ex-wife. And when she first brings
- 12:56Speaker 1: that up, we're like, what? He lives with ex-wife? That's
- 12:58Speaker 1: crazy because we saw those kids and they're not young.
- 13:01Speaker 1: So like, it isn't like he needs to be around.
- 13:05Speaker 1: And the situation, of course, with Allie is that she
- 13:10Speaker 1: got pregnant. Sorry. Yeah. Got pregnant. And we think it
- 13:16Speaker 1: was by accident because he's going back there, but we know,
- 13:20Speaker 1: we don't know how accidents happen. if things are happening,
- 13:24Speaker 1: but accidents do happen unless accidents don't happen and things
- 13:28Speaker 1: that are planned for happen. But he then tries to
- 13:31Speaker 1: expedite a visa for her and it gets denied from Singapore,
- 13:37Speaker 1: which I found interesting because we don't know. I mean,
- 13:41Speaker 1: I have to do some research if Singapore is like
- 13:44Speaker 1: Nigeria or one of the countries that is harder to
- 13:47Speaker 1: get visas for, but she's denied and that's why he's
- 13:49Speaker 1: going there. Now, I don't know if he's going to
- 13:52Speaker 1: go there and he's not saying this, but they're going
- 13:55Speaker 1: to try and do some little like, you know, Asha,
- 14:01Speaker 1: get married there, apply for spousal visa situation to try
- 14:05Speaker 1: and get past the deny like. Because what he, of course,
- 14:09Speaker 1: is doing is going to, thankfully, surely leave the house
- 14:13Speaker 1: with his ex-wife. Which, then I'm like, why does he
- 14:15Speaker 1: have to evict his ex-wife if he's going to move
- 14:18Speaker 1: there to be with you if she lives there with
- 14:21Speaker 1: their two sons? That doesn't make any goddamn sense. Okay?
- 14:28Speaker 1: But he's going to leave his two, like, teen sons
- 14:35Speaker 1: just to start a whole new family in Singapore. With
- 14:39Speaker 1: this girl he met like two years ago. Who's super young. Now,
- 14:52Speaker 1: he's going to try and paint it that he talked
- 14:55Speaker 1: to his son that allows his face to be on camera.
- 14:58Speaker 1: And that his son, I think his name is Ryan,
- 15:01Speaker 1: was happy that his decision was that he's going to
- 15:03Speaker 1: move to Singapore because... Mistakes happen, which is this baby
- 15:07Speaker 1: or whatever you try to say with that. And he's
- 15:11Speaker 1: going to take care of it and take care of Allie.
- 15:16Speaker 1: It's interesting because I'm like, wait, so you're okay with
- 15:19Speaker 1: your dad just moving to a different country? Like you're
- 15:22Speaker 1: going to see this person all the time and start
- 15:24Speaker 1: a new family? That doesn't seem right either. That doesn't
- 15:29Speaker 1: seem real either. Also, this conversation happens in a flashback.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Like it didn't really make a difference. which is so
- 15:36Speaker 1: funny because we saw so much of her in that class.
- 15:39Speaker 1: We saw so much of her in that class. We
- 15:41Speaker 1: saw so much of this lady reacting to her storyline
- 15:46Speaker 1: about the fact that, of course, Ali is pregnant without
- 15:49Speaker 1: being married and Muslim. This lady had 14 different shots
- 15:55Speaker 1: of her reaction. And we just get one quick flashback
- 15:58Speaker 1: of like his son, his son's whole thoughts on this.
- 16:01Speaker 1: So funny. She, like I said, is Muslim and pregnant,
- 16:08Speaker 1: and her parents don't know, which is a problem. It's
- 16:13Speaker 1: a problem. But he has met her parents before. They
- 16:17Speaker 1: just don't know that she's pregnant, and they have already
- 16:20Speaker 1: been like, well, you can marry our daughter. You just
- 16:22Speaker 1: have to become Muslim. And he's like, cool. Fuck those pigs.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Not the po-po. He probably likes the po-po. He literally
- 16:32Speaker 1: means fuck the pigs. And he doesn't mean fuck the pigs.
- 16:34Speaker 1: He means I don't want to eat them anymore. You're like, Chris,
- 16:37Speaker 1: can you stop talking? You know what? It's just like
- 16:42Speaker 1: once I, you know, have a thought and then it's like,
- 16:46Speaker 1: oh no, it could be that. I got to say
- 16:47Speaker 1: it out loud. So that's a whole thing. They have
- 16:54Speaker 1: to have that conversation. The next scene is that he's
- 16:57Speaker 1: cleaning up after someone and that is his ex-wife. And then,
- 17:00Speaker 1: of course, Allie FaceTimes. And we get the conversation I've
- 17:04Speaker 1: already told you, which is that she's like, you're cleaning
- 17:06Speaker 1: up after her. She's still there. And then it's like, yeah,
- 17:09Speaker 1: they were married for 25 years. You bitch. They were
- 17:17Speaker 1: married for 25 years and they got divorced two years ago.
- 17:22Speaker 1: And she has two of his kids and he's moving
- 17:27Speaker 1: to visit you. Why the F are you asking him
- 17:30Speaker 1: to evict this woman? And that was where I was like, okay,
- 17:38Speaker 1: fuck you, Allie. And then I started to be like,
- 17:45Speaker 1: I am going, like I had opened, like I am
- 17:49Speaker 1: going to watch their entire storyline in my mind through
- 17:54Speaker 1: the eyes of his ex. And I think both of us.
- 18:00Speaker 1: are going to tee hee all the way home. You
- 18:05Speaker 1: know what I mean? Tee hee hee. I think Ali
- 18:09Speaker 1: is going to make his life miserable. I said Juliana
- 18:14Speaker 1: and Michael, and that is a good example of Because
- 18:20Speaker 1: the worst example exists in 90-day lore out there of
- 18:25Speaker 1: what this could be. Now, I'm not saying Allie is
- 18:27Speaker 1: this kind of evil. I don't think she is. Allie
- 18:35Speaker 1: is no Lyda. But you can see a world in
- 18:40Speaker 1: which this dumb fuck, like Eric, wants so badly... To
- 18:50Speaker 1: just be like, yeah, this young, hot, young, hot, young, hot, hot, young,
- 18:56Speaker 1: who is going to, yeah, slowly eat away at every
- 19:03Speaker 1: morsel of manhood he's ever collected over the 50 years
- 19:08Speaker 1: he's been trudging on God's earth, you know? And I'm
- 19:14Speaker 1: not saying me, I deserve to love it. But it's
- 19:18Speaker 1: almost like the empath in me knows that his ex-wife
- 19:23Speaker 1: is going to enjoy slash relish watching it. And it's
- 19:29Speaker 1: like I can taste her mouth water. I can't describe
- 19:36Speaker 1: it more than that to you. Is that insane? Okay. So...
- 19:49Speaker 1: She's already coming in on the fact that he hasn't
- 19:51Speaker 1: saved enough money for her benefit, which is that, uh,
- 19:55Speaker 1: you know, for her to move, he's going to move
- 19:57Speaker 1: out and then take care of her. And he's like,
- 20:00Speaker 1: don't put pressure on me. I still have to, you know,
- 20:02Speaker 1: like talk to my dad. I just think it's so funny.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Like He lived his whole life and he got out
- 20:18Speaker 1: of like a relationship that he felt, whatever he felt about.
- 20:22Speaker 1: And then he saw this hot young thing at a bar,
- 20:25Speaker 1: says him, or not any sort of like business front,
- 20:30Speaker 1: God bless. And she's with him now and he is
- 20:34Speaker 1: going to hold on for dear life because like she
- 20:38Speaker 1: does do certain things that she, are the dopamine serotonin
- 20:44Speaker 1: hits enough for him to cling? A, that she looks
- 20:47Speaker 1: the way she does, because she's truly beautiful, okay? But B,
- 20:51Speaker 1: whether it's real or not, or whether she certainly has
- 20:54Speaker 1: a fetish, she has made her sexual need of him palpable.
- 21:09Speaker 1: And she has like stroked his ego enough that he
- 21:16Speaker 1: cannot comprehend a world where he would give up this
- 21:20Speaker 1: hot young thing that happens to be so obsessed with
- 21:24Speaker 1: him that when he gets off a plane, she's going
- 21:26Speaker 1: to smell his armpits and be like, oh, like straight
- 21:31Speaker 1: gooner face or whatever those people do. Like, you know what?
- 21:34Speaker 1: I'm not going to be nice. Having said that, it's like,
- 21:40Speaker 1: Do you like armpit smells? And you can answer this
- 21:46Speaker 1: question in any sort of way. A, no. B, no,
- 21:51Speaker 1: most of the time, except for that one person, which then, yeah.
- 21:59Speaker 1: I like the faintest hint of an armpit smell, but unfortunately,
- 22:09Speaker 1: it has to be pure armpit and not have migrated
- 22:14Speaker 1: anywhere else. It can't be body smell. It has to
- 22:20Speaker 1: be just the slightest stench in the pits like it's
- 22:24Speaker 1: just starting. Some man has taken a shower probably like
- 22:32Speaker 1: four and a half hours ago. And here we are,
- 22:38Speaker 1: he's sweat a little bit. and I smell it because
- 22:43Speaker 1: I'm so super close, then yes, hot. If I can
- 22:48Speaker 1: smell it and I'm not, if I'm a foot or
- 22:50Speaker 1: more away, no. Two feet more away, absolutely not. Absolutely not.
- 22:57Speaker 1: But it's interesting. It's such an ego boost for him.
- 23:03Speaker 1: You know he loves it. She's like, am I weird?
- 23:05Speaker 1: He's like, you're my kind of weird. We're both weird.
- 23:08Speaker 1: We're both weird nerds. Yep, look at this weird nerd, honey.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Look at her. She looks like she is the weirdest
- 23:13Speaker 1: looking nerd, honey. Yeah, very nerdy, that one, huh? You
- 23:16Speaker 1: know who's weird in a nerd? Her, you, Niles. Anyway. Yeah,
- 23:26Speaker 1: I can't wait. So they pick him up from the airport, obviously.
- 23:30Speaker 1: He gets there. She smells his armpits, like I said.
- 23:32Speaker 1: And they are living in cloud nine until they get
- 23:35Speaker 1: in the car. And then he makes an awkward joke
- 23:38Speaker 1: about having to give up pork and become Muslim and
- 23:43Speaker 1: whatever stupid fart joke he wants to make about that.
- 23:46Speaker 1: And she's understandably like, nope. But then it's this thing
- 23:53Speaker 1: where she brings up if he's vaped and he was like, maybe.
- 24:00Speaker 1: And of course he is. He's wanted to and he does.
- 24:02Speaker 1: But there is like Singapore law. So she's like very
- 24:07Speaker 1: mad that he had. Now, this is where I get confused.
- 24:11Speaker 1: She's horrified that he vaped after a time in which
- 24:16Speaker 1: she said to not vape. I wouldn't be horrified by that.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Does he have the vape on him? Is he thinking
- 24:25Speaker 1: he's going to get a vape while he's there? Can you?
- 24:28Speaker 1: Because if this man vaped when he was in America
- 24:32Speaker 1: and he is now in Singapore... And you live in
- 24:35Speaker 1: a country that like, you know, God bless, whips people
- 24:38Speaker 1: for vaping or whatever the fuck it is, you know, like,
- 24:41Speaker 1: I'm sorry, whatever. It's a huge fine. I don't know
- 24:43Speaker 1: what she said. That's on him. He probably didn't bring it.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Or if he did, make him pay it. I mean,
- 24:49Speaker 1: I don't know. But it's annoying because, yeah, she is
- 24:54Speaker 1: stringent about that. And we're like, girl, you don't follow
- 24:56Speaker 1: any of the rules you were supposed to follow from
- 24:59Speaker 1: your parents or your religion. You've been drinking. You've been
- 25:02Speaker 1: doing all the things. So why are you mad at
- 25:04Speaker 1: this man for vaping? And he stands up for himself.
- 25:07Speaker 1: He's like, I'm 49. Bitch, you're not going to tell
- 25:11Speaker 1: me what to do. He doesn't call her a bitch.
- 25:13Speaker 1: She's like, but if you lie about this. And you
- 25:16Speaker 1: can lie about anything. Then how do I know if
- 25:19Speaker 1: you lie about anything? You can be lying about all
- 25:22Speaker 1: the things. He's like, yeah. Have you been talking to
- 25:28Speaker 1: my ex-wife? Yeah, like I swear to God, I wish
- 25:37Speaker 1: we could have his ex-wife watching every scene like in
- 25:41Speaker 1: a little box above the scene just to watch her
- 25:44Speaker 1: be like, You know, yeah. I'm excited. Okay, let's move on, honey.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Last and not least, we have two more couples. Well,
- 26:01Speaker 1: we have, you know, Kenny and Armando, and I think
- 26:04Speaker 1: we have at least one other couple. We have not
- 26:08Speaker 1: been introduced yet, but returning. Returning. is Matilda and Niles. Honey,
- 26:14Speaker 1: Matilda's 29 from Ghana. And she is Niles, of course,
- 26:20Speaker 1: 26 from Alabama. Wait, I think I got them mixed up.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Maybe he's 29 from Alabama and she's 26 from Ghana. Sorry. Yes,
- 26:28Speaker 1: I got that confused. 29 from Alabama, 26 from Ghana.
- 26:31Speaker 1: So he is at a fantasy flea market. set up
- 26:43Speaker 1: in what looks like a makeup shop. There's like Ben
- 26:50Speaker 1: Nye products, Krylex or whatever kind of products. And he's
- 26:56Speaker 1: just manning his booth, honey. It's been two years since
- 27:01Speaker 1: we saw their story. And as we know, he went
- 27:06Speaker 1: and met Matilda. He has autism or he's on the spectrum.
- 27:10Speaker 1: And And he met Matilda online. He goes in real life.
- 27:14Speaker 1: He has this thing where he doesn't like to always
- 27:17Speaker 1: say the thing that he should say that like he
- 27:19Speaker 1: knows someone would get mad at, but also is important
- 27:22Speaker 1: to say because it's like someone's expecting something and he
- 27:26Speaker 1: knows what they're expecting and he doesn't want to say
- 27:28Speaker 1: that things are different because he doesn't want that person
- 27:29Speaker 1: to be mad. But it's like, and then the whole,
- 27:31Speaker 1: it's a whole thing. It's like his favorite thing to do.
- 27:33Speaker 1: And so that's what happened last time. And that's what
- 27:35Speaker 1: we're going to make, they're going to make us watch again. Okay. So,
- 27:41Speaker 1: Last time he was there, he's like, I promise you
- 27:43Speaker 1: I'll come back six months or whatever. And guess what?
- 27:45Speaker 1: That didn't happen. He's like, I'm done. Why did I
- 27:47Speaker 1: fucking say that? And it's true. We have the best
- 27:50Speaker 1: of intentions. It's hard because we have no patience. We
- 27:54Speaker 1: have the best of intentions and we overcommit. And boy,
- 27:56Speaker 1: did he overcommit. It's been two years. He hasn't gone back.
- 28:04Speaker 1: So again, he is trying to sell products because he
- 28:06Speaker 1: wants to go back there. And she's like, I think working, um,
- 28:10Speaker 1: I was like, it looked like she was a taxi driver.
- 28:11Speaker 1: I couldn't tell if she was picking someone up or
- 28:13Speaker 1: just driving around. She says her biggest dream is to
- 28:15Speaker 1: come to America. We're like, girl, well, here's the thing.
- 28:19Speaker 1: We can look up at the title and see that
- 28:20Speaker 1: this is The Other Way. You're not on 90 Day Fiancé,
- 28:26Speaker 1: regular 90 Day Fiancé. You're on The Other Way. So Matilda,
- 28:31Speaker 1: did you know you're going to be on this show?
- 28:33Speaker 1: Did you think? I wonder if Matilda thought she was
- 28:36Speaker 1: filming regular 90 Day Fiancé. So she was like, great.
- 28:39Speaker 1: He's going to finally come back and he's going to
- 28:41Speaker 1: pick me up. And then we're going to go back
- 28:44Speaker 1: to America in film, regular 90 day fiance season 14
- 28:47Speaker 1: or whatever it is. The producers are like, shh, we're
- 28:52Speaker 1: putting you on the other way. It's season eight. He's,
- 28:57Speaker 1: you're going to be there. It's the other way. He's
- 29:00Speaker 1: your way. He's coming your way. Okay. So, He says
- 29:10Speaker 1: he's going to surprise her with him forever, and not
- 29:13Speaker 1: just two weeks. And we know that's a bad idea,
- 29:16Speaker 1: and so does his friend Gabe. He hasn't told her
- 29:20Speaker 1: yet because he wants to deal with it when it happens.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Even though he knows dealing with it will be him
- 29:28Speaker 1: listening to her scream. So, as I said, he is
- 29:34Speaker 1: hanging out with his friend Gabe, who has a rainbow
- 29:37Speaker 1: tie-dye shirt, and... they drink crazy flavored sodas, like ranch
- 29:47Speaker 1: or bacon flavored, end up being peanut butter and jelly. Now,
- 29:51Speaker 1: this conversation is maddening because basically Gabe's like, okay, I'll
- 29:56Speaker 1: take a peanut butter and jelly soda. So he gets
- 30:00Speaker 1: one and he's like, why does this taste like stale bread?
- 30:06Speaker 1: And Niles was like, it's peanut butter and jelly flavored.
- 30:11Speaker 1: And Gabe's like, yeah, that's what I, you're right. And
- 30:17Speaker 1: in Niles' mind, he's like, bitch, it's peanut butter and
- 30:21Speaker 1: jelly sandwich flavored soda. You don't think it's just peanut
- 30:25Speaker 1: butter and jelly flavor, just those two things. It's a
- 30:27Speaker 1: peanut butter and jelly sandwich flavored soda. The yeast flavor.
- 30:31Speaker 1: You're tasting yeast, bread, yum. The same flavor you have
- 30:35Speaker 1: like sometimes when you have champagne. One of my favorite
- 30:41Speaker 1: things I learned in wine school when I got my WSET,
- 30:46Speaker 1: don't even worry about it, is tasting different champagnes and
- 30:53Speaker 1: finding that I really like a biscuit taste. champagne, a
- 30:58Speaker 1: yeasty tasting champagne made from real yeast because it's French,
- 31:04Speaker 1: not fake tasting yeast. You can really taste like a
- 31:11Speaker 1: baked quality, like a bread quality. It is tasty AF.
- 31:17Speaker 1: It is obviously the perfect champagne for brunch. Can you
- 31:23Speaker 1: imagine having like a biscuity tasting champagne with biscuits. Now,
- 31:30Speaker 1: going back, I'll tell you, Gabe, unlike me, has a
- 31:34Speaker 1: voice for radio. Boy, can Gabe, I mean, really articulate.
- 31:40Speaker 1: He sounds like someone doing an industrial for how to
- 31:45Speaker 1: put in plumbing piping, but on a high level. He's
- 31:50Speaker 1: a very good voice. It's not only articulate, it has... depth.
- 31:57Speaker 1: It has like resonance. It just is interesting because it
- 32:01Speaker 1: comes out of someone wearing a rainbow tie-dye shirt with
- 32:05Speaker 1: headphones around him and like video gaming. You know, he's
- 32:09Speaker 1: not understanding why a peanut butter and jelly flavored soda
- 32:13Speaker 1: would taste like bread. He can't get it. He doesn't
- 32:16Speaker 1: understand it. So obviously Gabe knows Niall's life knows Matilda
- 32:22Speaker 1: and has to sit there and listen to Niall's be like,
- 32:25Speaker 1: I'm making a horrible, horrible decision. The horrible decision being
- 32:28Speaker 1: that he doesn't want to tell Matilda what's up and
- 32:30Speaker 1: wants to just tell her and watch her reaction. And
- 32:34Speaker 1: we've already seen what happened last season when that happened.
- 32:36Speaker 1: She hates it. She hates it. It almost ruined you
- 32:38Speaker 1: guys last time. So why would you do it again?
- 32:40Speaker 1: I have no idea. Also, it's a little bit like
- 32:43Speaker 1: Niall's is like, if she really wants to be with me,
- 32:45Speaker 1: she'll just be with me because, you know, if you
- 32:47Speaker 1: really want to be with me, you could be with me.
- 32:48Speaker 1: I'll live with you here. And We hope that it's
- 32:55Speaker 1: not awkward because Matilda, I think, wants to live in America.
- 33:00Speaker 1: And I hope that it's not like she only wants that.
- 33:05Speaker 1: And so she would be really devastated if that was
- 33:08Speaker 1: taken off the table. You know, you just don't, it is,
- 33:10Speaker 1: it does cause one to pause. You know, I never
- 33:16Speaker 1: played any fantasy games and I think I would like
- 33:20Speaker 1: to try it. Because people are so into it. People
- 33:28Speaker 1: that love it, love it. Love it. And for people
- 33:33Speaker 1: to be so obsessed, it makes me feel like I
- 33:35Speaker 1: should try it once. But you have to do so
- 33:39Speaker 1: many things, like get someone that's good at being a
- 33:42Speaker 1: D & D host and get the people to play
- 33:44Speaker 1: with and commit weekly at a certain time to this. Oh, honey,
- 33:51Speaker 1: so hard. Now, I would love to see Gabe somehow
- 34:01Speaker 1: get his ass to Ghana too. I wonder if we're
- 34:07Speaker 1: going to like see all the fun people from the
- 34:11Speaker 1: last season back in Ghana. Like that older priest guy.
- 34:17Speaker 1: You know, like we have a lot of like, you know,
- 34:19Speaker 1: people from her life we can see. She says, you know,
- 34:23Speaker 1: since it's been two years. Yeah, it's been two years since,
- 34:26Speaker 1: you know, she's had sex. And I want to believe
- 34:32Speaker 1: her a lot. Matilda is so hot. She's someone that's hot.
- 34:40Speaker 1: She's someone, and I mean, like, she seems like a down, fun,
- 34:49Speaker 1: sexual woman. And I'm saying that because I know I am.
- 34:56Speaker 1: I'm one who takes one to know one. You know
- 34:58Speaker 1: what I'm saying? And I just wonder if she really
- 35:03Speaker 1: hasn't had sex in two years or if, you know, God,
- 35:08Speaker 1: like Nigel says, you should be E & M if
- 35:12Speaker 1: you're long distance. I can't believe that that woman honestly
- 35:14Speaker 1: was like, yeah, he's just he's just being promiscuous until
- 35:19Speaker 1: I get there and then he's going to stop. I
- 35:21Speaker 1: haven't actually talked to him about that. I just think
- 35:23Speaker 1: in my mind that he's going to stop and therefore
- 35:25Speaker 1: my mind is right. You guys, it's going to be
- 35:31Speaker 1: a good season. And of course, we have people, like
- 35:33Speaker 1: I said, we haven't even met yet. And I feel
- 35:38Speaker 1: good about a lot of these peeps. So thank you
- 35:40Speaker 1: so much for spending time with me. If you want,
