- 0:00Speaker 1: So here's the thing that I'm learning. I guess a
- 0:02Speaker 1: lot of people aren't smoking weed anymore. They're now eating it.
- 0:06Speaker 2: I am a combination of many different things.
- 0:08Speaker 1: You know what, I like to smoke. I hear you
- 0:11Speaker 1: because I like to smoke that ship. And let me
- 0:13Speaker 1: tell you. Let me tell you why you get way
- 0:15Speaker 1: more stoned when you smoke it than when you eat it.
- 0:19Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Sometimes one doesn't want to be that messed up and
- 0:23Speaker 3: you just want a light little tingle.
- 0:25Speaker 1: When who doesn't want to be the listen man, that
- 0:28Speaker 1: light little tingle is like spidy senses to me. Man,
- 0:30Speaker 1: that shit's like a anxi.
- 0:31Speaker 3: No, you're you're a large man. You're a large man.
- 0:34Speaker 1: And also that its like trucks coming, that light little tingle.
- 0:40Speaker 3: I'm telling you, I want the.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Light little tingle. I want to be knocked out, like
- 0:43Speaker 1: the whole body tingle, like a truck's coming.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Those of us, there are those of us out there
- 0:49Speaker 3: that kind of just want a light little ooh that
- 0:52Speaker 3: flower looks really red.
- 0:56Speaker 1: My weed shop, My weed shop, I walk in and there,
- 0:59Speaker 1: like your back already. I mean, I'm not complaining, but.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Geez, kidd I love that you probably keep the lights
- 1:08Speaker 3: on in that place. You like, you're like Norman Cheers.
- 1:13Speaker 1: They got a nickname for me and everything.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Man, I woke up singing your song today?
- 1:19Speaker 1: Which one?
- 1:20Speaker 3: What you're trying to get into a day is soon?
- 1:23Speaker 1: What you're trying to do get into?
- 1:27Speaker 3: When Donald and I used to be young and go out,
- 1:29Speaker 3: we would, uh, we would text it. I guess we
- 1:31Speaker 3: would probably call each other like, Yo, what you're trying
- 1:33Speaker 3: to get into tonight?
- 1:34Speaker 1: Try to get into tonight?
- 1:35Speaker 3: What you're trying to get into tonight?
- 1:37Speaker 1: That used to be to go to When we'd be
- 1:39Speaker 1: at work, it would be like it would be like
- 1:42Speaker 1: six o'clock and we get off early. Let's say it
- 1:45Speaker 1: was a Wednesday, and we'd get off that around you know,
- 1:49Speaker 1: nine or ten, and that around nine or ten, that's
- 1:52Speaker 1: when the club kind of opens up.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Right, You'd be like, yo, yo, what you're trying to
- 1:55Speaker 3: get into?
- 1:55Speaker 1: Yeah, we'd have work. If they were like, you don't
- 2:00Speaker 1: have to be a work until ten o'clock in the
- 2:02Speaker 1: in the in the morning tomorrow, it would be like, yo, dude,
- 2:05Speaker 1: I don't got work till ten. What about you? I
- 2:07Speaker 1: don't got work till ten?
- 2:08Speaker 3: What you're trying to get into. And then and then
- 2:11Speaker 3: now that we're old, we're just say it like jokingly,
- 2:13Speaker 3: like yo, what you're trying to get into tonight? Like
- 2:15Speaker 3: I'm trying to go to sleep and I'm trying to
- 2:16Speaker 3: get in.
- 2:17Speaker 1: My bed, right, I'm trying.
- 2:19Speaker 3: But then then something and then, as we've told you,
- 2:21Speaker 3: Donald's name in the middle name is a day of shoon.
- 2:24Speaker 3: So then it became a song. I don't know if
- 2:26Speaker 3: I wrote it or you writ think I wrote you
- 2:27Speaker 3: wrote it. What you're trying to get into a day
- 2:30Speaker 3: of shune? What you're trying to do? But I open it.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Sounds like a Sesame stroke Street song one two three, four, five, six.
- 2:39Speaker 3: Seven, eleven twelve.
- 2:42Speaker 1: What you're trying to get into a day of shoon?
- 2:46Speaker 1: What you're trying to do? You had trying to five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten,
- 2:53Speaker 1: eleven twelve. I'm trying to stay out till one two
- 2:56Speaker 1: three four five.
- 2:59Speaker 4: Dad.
- 3:00Speaker 3: I like it when you do it because you add
- 3:01Speaker 3: a little sauce. You're like trying to get into what he.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Is that Algero Manyeah.
- 3:11Speaker 3: You Algae rote it up. You Algie rote it up.
- 3:13Speaker 1: What you're trying to get into? This is welcome to
- 3:22Speaker 1: the stoned out version of feet, doctors and real friends.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Well, listen every morning, Navigator. Today, Almost every morning I
- 3:29Speaker 3: wake up singing a song. And I don't know if
- 3:31Speaker 3: I've thought about it in my sleep or what, but
- 3:33Speaker 3: I hum, assuming I'm in a good mood, which is often,
- 3:37Speaker 3: I have a little song while I'm doing my morning
- 3:39Speaker 3: pee and I'm just bopping my head to something and
- 3:41Speaker 3: you never know what it's going to be. But this
- 3:43Speaker 3: morning it was what you're trying to get in I
- 3:47Speaker 3: don't want to try to.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Do what you're trying to do. Oh man, I missed
- 3:53Speaker 1: those days. I missed those days of what you're trying
- 3:55Speaker 1: to get?
- 3:56Speaker 3: What's a place called Joseph's We used to go to.
- 3:58Speaker 1: There was Joseph's and that was just off a Yuka?
- 4:02Speaker 3: Yeah, And isn't there a line in in is it Made? Yeah? Made?
- 4:08Speaker 1: Do you think I'm trying to spend the rest of
- 4:09Speaker 1: my life living on Yuka?
- 4:12Speaker 3: That's uh? That's Vince Vaughan in the very very underrated
- 4:16Speaker 3: movie Made.
- 4:17Speaker 1: I think it's uh because you stole my van and
- 4:22Speaker 1: I don't like you.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Yeah, if you haven't seen Made, Ce Made, John Favreau
- 4:27Speaker 3: and Vince Vaughan. It was after Swingers, and they were
- 4:29Speaker 3: it was like, I think Favreau's next film after that.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Oh no, that they had blown up after like the
- 4:35Speaker 1: two of them.
- 4:36Speaker 3: Oh so yeah, they blew up and they did other stuff,
- 4:38Speaker 3: but that was the next movie they did together.
- 4:40Speaker 1: They came back and did this one again.
- 4:41Speaker 3: And the only thing funnier than made is watching the outtakes.
- 4:44Speaker 3: You gotta watch, Vince. I don't know if we have
- 4:46Speaker 3: you talked about this yet on the podcast. We're already
- 4:48Speaker 3: geting the point where don't Rember if you've sid this, righty,
- 4:49Speaker 3: but haven't you got to watch if you want to
- 4:51Speaker 3: laugh your ass off, watch Vince Vaughn riffing like only
- 4:55Speaker 3: Vince Vaughan could back in the day and making shit
- 4:59Speaker 3: up and Fabreau's struggling to get through the scene. And
- 5:02Speaker 3: it is hilarious.
- 5:03Speaker 1: The two of them together. Man, that shit is magic.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Like they should really go back. I know they're both
- 5:08Speaker 1: very grown now and both very seasoned now. Also I wonder.
- 5:13Speaker 3: If the magic's loss though maybe I don't know, man,
- 5:16Speaker 3: because some of it was they were so young, and
- 5:18Speaker 3: I mean, Swingers was just fucking incredible. And they were
- 5:21Speaker 3: just so young and wide eyed, and they had just
- 5:24Speaker 3: the most amazing banter and they would improbably it's like crazy,
- 5:29Speaker 3: and it was just I don't know, Vince Vaughn was
- 5:31Speaker 3: the quickest mofo in the world back in the day.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm gonna tell you something right now, man, I
- 5:36Speaker 1: think they're both so like look at us, man. I
- 5:39Speaker 1: think if we were to do Scrubs now, knowing what
- 5:41Speaker 1: we know about comedy and about the industry and about
- 5:45Speaker 1: timing and about making television and stuff like that, if
- 5:48Speaker 1: we were to go back and start all over from
- 5:50Speaker 1: the beginning with our knowledge, Scrubs would have been way
- 5:55Speaker 1: more funny. That's like anything, it would have been way
- 5:57Speaker 1: more funny. I think the two of them still have
- 5:58Speaker 1: their you know, I think they still have their their
- 6:02Speaker 1: their their connection, their magic, their magic. And if they
- 6:06Speaker 1: were to go out there and do another I would
- 6:08Speaker 1: personally love to see another incarnation of the two characters
- 6:11Speaker 1: from Swingers. Uh Allah made what we made.
- 6:16Speaker 3: I don't know anyone that's seen made other than you
- 6:18Speaker 3: and I.
- 6:18Speaker 1: But that's bullshit, man.
- 6:20Speaker 3: It was not. It was not. It was not a
- 6:22Speaker 3: hit or not a popular movie. I don't think.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Oh man, such a good movie. Cardiff Giants all of
- 6:28Speaker 1: that stuff. And then how Vince Vaughan spent all the
- 6:30Speaker 1: money in one night and everything. Come on, man, thatsh
- 6:32Speaker 1: It's just so it's such a.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Good and then the scene I love when they when
- 6:36Speaker 3: they get their per diem. And then and he's like,
- 6:40Speaker 3: so this is my prettiem, right. Vin Swaughan's character can't
- 6:44Speaker 3: get can't get his head around the idea that he
- 6:46Speaker 3: just gets cash. So this is my prettyem.
- 6:49Speaker 1: This is this is your Yes, he had the money
- 6:53Speaker 1: out on the plane because this is how this movie too.
- 6:57Speaker 3: Yes, yes, And and Sam Rockwell plays a guy who
- 7:01Speaker 3: works at the hotel. They're saying it like it's supposed
- 7:02Speaker 3: to be like the Mercer hotel down in second So yeah, right,
- 7:05Speaker 3: and you get a goldfish, remember he plays. We can
- 7:13Speaker 3: do a podcast on made Donald. We should do a
- 7:15Speaker 3: special episode, by the way, you know, we should do
- 7:18Speaker 3: one day. Let's say we really keep liking this and
- 7:21Speaker 3: we run out of episodes. Yeah, I don't know if
- 7:23Speaker 3: we're gonna do season nine. We'll just we should do
- 7:25Speaker 3: season nine. But then we should start doing this for
- 7:28Speaker 3: movies we love like, We'll just like do a rewatch
- 7:31Speaker 3: of our favorite films.
- 7:32Speaker 1: I'd love to do that. Maybe we could get the
- 7:34Speaker 1: guests of our favorite past Oh that's cool, you know
- 7:38Speaker 1: what I mean?
- 7:38Speaker 3: Yeah, we could have We could have Vince Vaughan and
- 7:41Speaker 3: uh and John.
- 7:42Speaker 1: If we got see that's the problem though. If John
- 7:44Speaker 1: Favreau was on our podcast, I don't know how long
- 7:48Speaker 1: I would be able to hold out before asking him
- 7:51Speaker 1: for a job in Star Wars or Marvel. I don't
- 7:54Speaker 1: know how long I'd be able to hold out. Probably,
- 7:57Speaker 1: bless you.
- 7:58Speaker 3: That's probably why he doesn't want to.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Uh, come on, I'm yeah, that's probably exactly why.
- 8:03Speaker 3: I know a lot of these guys, like I imagine,
- 8:05Speaker 3: you know, John Fabreus of the world or people that
- 8:08Speaker 3: get entrenched in the Star Wars universe, especially they played.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Marvel Man marvel Is, probably don't.
- 8:13Speaker 3: Want to leave their house. They're like, oh god, the
- 8:15Speaker 3: Donald Faisons of the world are gonna.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Be like and chilled out.
- 8:19Speaker 3: Od I in Iron Man three minutes and twenty one seconds.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Is that a real explosion?
- 8:25Speaker 1: No, you'll never hear me ask about the movie. You
- 8:28Speaker 1: know what. I made that mistake once in life, and
- 8:30Speaker 1: I got the answer I wanted and I was so
- 8:33Speaker 1: in awe of the fact that he was talking to
- 8:36Speaker 1: me about what about his process or his process that
- 8:41Speaker 1: was more process that I fucking missed every word he said.
- 8:47Speaker 1: I met. So I've met George Lucas quite a few
- 8:50Speaker 1: times because I'm a huge Star Wars fan and we
- 8:52Speaker 1: had just finished watching Revenge of the Sith Sith at
- 8:55Speaker 1: Skywalker Ranch and he's standing with of all people, Sam Jackson,
- 9:00Speaker 1: Windo and Ludacris, right, and Ludacris had said to me,
- 9:03Speaker 1: you know, I'm thinking about getting into acting. Is there
- 9:05Speaker 1: any advice you could give me. And I said to him, dude,
- 9:09Speaker 1: you know how to do music videos and stuff like that,
- 9:11Speaker 1: you know how to wrap and everything. Just bring everything,
- 9:14Speaker 1: all of that energy that you bring in your music,
- 9:17Speaker 1: just bring that to acting, that concentration. Just do that.
- 9:20Speaker 1: And he was like, oh, yeah, absolutely, And so I
- 9:22Speaker 1: when he did that, I was like, all right, So
- 9:24Speaker 1: now he did that in front of George Lucas. I
- 9:26Speaker 1: now have an end to George Lucas to ask George Lucas, so,
- 9:29Speaker 1: how'd you come up with Star Wars?
- 9:31Speaker 3: Oh? God, so I'm embarrassed already.
- 9:34Speaker 1: I said, so, how'd you come up with Star Wars
- 9:36Speaker 1: and he fucking answered the question. He's like, well, so
- 9:40Speaker 1: what I do is I you know, I sit down
- 9:41Speaker 1: in my house and I'm like, oh, what it would
- 9:44Speaker 1: be an interesting galaxy. Let's see maybe a galaxy far away,
- 9:47Speaker 1: and then I could come up with the idea of
- 9:49Speaker 1: a planet. Okay, on this end this galaxy, there's a planet.
- 9:52Speaker 1: What would the planet be. Let's say it's tattooing, okay,
- 9:54Speaker 1: and then what's it like on tattooing? And he goes
- 9:57Speaker 1: into the whole fucking thing on how these creating galaxies
- 10:01Speaker 1: and you know, and I'm sitting there and in my mind,
- 10:04Speaker 1: I'm like, fucking George Lucas is talking to me. Fucking
- 10:06Speaker 1: George Lucas is talking to me. I didn't hear one
- 10:10Speaker 1: word he said. He gave me the algorithm the Star
- 10:13Speaker 1: Wars and I wasn't listening because I was so in
- 10:16Speaker 1: awe of the fact that I was talking to George Lucas.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Do you think this is a lie? This is the
- 10:21Speaker 1: honest I walked away like, you fucking moron, You fucking
- 10:25Speaker 1: didn't listen.
- 10:26Speaker 3: You know, It's funny. In my mind, George Lucas was like, hey,
- 10:28Speaker 3: invite Donald Fazon because I might put him in on
- 10:30Speaker 3: one of the leads of one of my new films. Okay, sir,
- 10:33Speaker 3: we'll invite him. And then you get there and he's like,
- 10:34Speaker 3: oh no, he's one of those guys who asked me
- 10:36Speaker 3: how I come up with Star Wars. Forget it, Jimmy, dude.
- 10:39Speaker 1: I sat in front of him for Revenge of the Scyth, right,
- 10:42Speaker 1: and he's behind me. And I loved Revenge of the Sith.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Even when I saw it back in the day. I
- 10:48Speaker 1: loved it.
- 10:48Speaker 3: I saw Joel, look at the face, Joel's giving you.
- 10:51Speaker 1: And I sat in front of him, and I remember
- 10:53Speaker 1: I was there and we had you know, we had
- 10:55Speaker 1: cocktails before the movie. It was like this big MTV premiere.
- 10:58Speaker 1: We had cocktails, we had food, et cetera. I might
- 11:01Speaker 1: have even smoked a cigarette back then. This was a
- 11:03Speaker 1: long time ago, right, And I'm there with this girl
- 11:06Speaker 1: that I'm dating and we are watching Revenge of the
- 11:08Speaker 1: Sith and the movie ends and I turn around and
- 11:11Speaker 1: I look at him and I can see he's like,
- 11:14Speaker 1: what would you think? And I'm like, dude, it was
- 11:16Speaker 1: fucking amazing. You did it, George, you did it.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 11:22Speaker 1: I'm losing my mind. I grab him, I give him
- 11:24Speaker 1: a hip hop. Yeah, I give him a big hug
- 11:27Speaker 1: and everything. I'm like, I can't believe you. You did it, George,
- 11:30Speaker 1: you fucking did it. And I turn around and I go, who,
- 11:35Speaker 1: I can't believe it. He fucking did it. And I
- 11:36Speaker 1: say it to the girl I'm dating at the time.
- 11:38Speaker 1: She was like, oh my god, babe, your breath smells
- 11:43Speaker 1: oh so bad right now. But I'm like, all in
- 11:49Speaker 1: his face, Oh my god, George, you fucking did it.
- 11:53Speaker 4: Ude.
- 11:56Speaker 3: By the way, I have another embarrassing story related to
- 11:58Speaker 3: Star Wars. You did?
- 12:00Speaker 1: Oh what did I do?
- 12:01Speaker 3: Doesn't Kathleen Kennedy have an ideality?
- 12:03Speaker 1: God, she has an identical You went.
- 12:04Speaker 3: And congratulated the identical twin.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I did. I let go and you know what,
- 12:10Speaker 1: and here's the problem with it, here's the problem with them.
- 12:12Speaker 3: No, Bro, that was embarrassing. I was with you that one.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Yeah, that was pretty bad. And then she laughed at
- 12:16Speaker 1: me about it after I told I was like, I
- 12:18Speaker 1: just fucking went up to your sister and congratulated her
- 12:21Speaker 1: on Star Wars.
- 12:22Speaker 3: You were so dialed in with these people. I just
- 12:24Speaker 3: don't understand how we can't get you apart. You're friends
- 12:27Speaker 3: with the cowboy hat guy, Dave Filoni, Dave Felony. You're
- 12:32Speaker 3: friends with Kathleen Kennedy and or her identical twin. George
- 12:36Speaker 3: Lucas knows how bad your breath can be. Why can't
- 12:38Speaker 3: these fucking people hire you to be in these movies?
- 12:40Speaker 1: I did felictening with jj A Brooms.
- 12:42Speaker 3: Yeah, You're like, it's God, But I really, I really
- 12:46Speaker 3: want to make it one of my life priorities to
- 12:47Speaker 3: at least get you in one of these movies. I mean,
- 12:49Speaker 3: fucking Ed Sheeran's in costume hidden doing cameos in these movies.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Why can't hearans in Game of Thrones too? Man? It's like,
- 12:57Speaker 1: you know, why can't? Is because one I don't.
- 13:01Speaker 3: Who can I call? Who can I call?
- 13:03Speaker 1: You got a lot of friends you could call? Dude,
- 13:05Speaker 1: you're freaking well. I was at the same Spielberg and
- 13:08Speaker 1: makes Spielberg called Lucas call Lucas, who will have been
- 13:11Speaker 1: called everybody over at Disney. You know who you need
- 13:14Speaker 1: to get in touch with. These are the two people
- 13:16Speaker 1: I need you to get in touch with for me.
- 13:17Speaker 3: Yeah, fhiggy, Okay, I don't really know Foggy, but I'm
- 13:21Speaker 3: writing it down. Kevin Foggy, Okay, I'm gonna call him today.
- 13:24Speaker 3: Who else? And the head of Disney, Well, Sean Bailey
- 13:28Speaker 3: is a friend of mine. He's uh, he's the head
- 13:30Speaker 3: of production, President of production at Disney. So I'm gonna
- 13:32Speaker 3: call Sean Bailey. Okay, Sean Bailey fig Okay. Now, will
- 13:37Speaker 3: you make sure that when you meet them you have
- 13:38Speaker 3: a mint in your mouth?
- 13:39Speaker 1: I will will, definitely, I will definitely mint up that day.
- 13:42Speaker 1: I was not only mint up that day. I will
- 13:44Speaker 1: keep all of my emotions buried as Jedi do. I was.
- 13:49Speaker 3: I hung out with j while he was making the
- 13:51Speaker 3: last Star Wars movie. We were staying at the same hotel,
- 13:54Speaker 3: and I would often see him in the lobby of
- 13:56Speaker 3: the hotel and we would we would shoot the ship.
- 13:59Speaker 3: And I'm remember him sitting with a laptop clearly in
- 14:02Speaker 3: my mind, which was tweaking the screenplay over by the
- 14:04Speaker 3: fireplace and the lobby in London, and I thought, oh
- 14:07Speaker 3: my god, Donald would freak out. Right now, JJ's over
- 14:10Speaker 3: by the fireplace what looks clearly like doing a rewrite
- 14:12Speaker 3: of the script.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, you're so lucky that I was not there, I.
- 14:18Speaker 3: Know, because you would have gone over and be like
- 14:19Speaker 3: you did it. No, no, like Donald, get off of me.
- 14:23Speaker 1: No no, no, let's let's let's let's just be honest
- 14:25Speaker 1: with it, with it all. The order of appreciation for
- 14:29Speaker 1: the Star Wars trilogies, Yeah, is the first trilogy. Obviously,
- 14:35Speaker 1: the Empire strikes back New Hope, returning to Jedi, those
- 14:40Speaker 1: three then you gotta go Clone Wars. You gotta do
- 14:43Speaker 1: all of that stuff. You gotta go episode one, two
- 14:45Speaker 1: and three, and then you gotta go.
- 14:47Speaker 3: I can't. I can't weigh in, Joel, please weigh in,
- 14:49Speaker 3: because you.
- 14:53Speaker 1: You gotta go seven eight nine, you know, you know. Uh.
- 14:55Speaker 1: And And the thing about seven eight nine is it
- 14:57Speaker 1: started so great and then it kind of went off
- 15:00Speaker 1: in a direction that nobody you know, some people love it,
- 15:03Speaker 1: some people don't love it, and then they tried to,
- 15:06Speaker 1: you know, correct it, and I don't know, I don't know.
- 15:10Speaker 1: You know, a lot of people really really loved the
- 15:13Speaker 1: new trilogy. I'm one of those people who's a little,
- 15:17Speaker 1: you know, a little infny dippity about it. I love
- 15:19Speaker 1: Star Wars for the rest of my life. Don't ever
- 15:21Speaker 1: get it twisted. I will always be a true fan
- 15:25Speaker 1: of Star Wars. I'm not necessarily sure that the last
- 15:29Speaker 1: trilogy was my favorite.
- 15:32Speaker 5: That's all God like, that's super fair. I feel like
- 15:35Speaker 5: it's definitely a fifty to fifty split on fans. I
- 15:38Speaker 5: think it'll see a lot Like with the original or
- 15:40Speaker 5: with the prequels, we saw a lot of kids who
- 15:43Speaker 5: that was their first Star Wars are like write or
- 15:45Speaker 5: die for it. They're like, you can't tell me anything.
- 15:47Speaker 5: The people's are amazing. It's my first experience. So I'm
- 15:50Speaker 5: sure we'll have another crop of kids who are like, no,
- 15:52Speaker 5: Kylo is everything, and I really like the relationship between
- 15:56Speaker 5: Ren and Kilo, and there's a lot to love.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Scene wise, there's a kind of like sea.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Moments scenes and exactly Joel, You're nailing it.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Was like, what is even happening or just.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Good or just the storyline between Kylo and and Ray
- 16:11Speaker 1: you know what I mean, and how and how they
- 16:13Speaker 1: found each other and the you know, it gets a
- 16:16Speaker 1: little twisted. I feel like, and this is just my
- 16:18Speaker 1: personal belief and I love you know. I As a
- 16:22Speaker 1: movie by itself, I think, uh, the Last Jedi is
- 16:26Speaker 1: a good movie. But in the trilogy form. I don't
- 16:30Speaker 1: think it fits at all. I think it's like and
- 16:32Speaker 1: I think it's because they're writing around shit. In the
- 16:35Speaker 1: two That Surrounded you know what I mean? So and
- 16:37Speaker 1: the Force Awakens, they wrote a story. He deviates from
- 16:40Speaker 1: the story, and then JJ tries to correct, but the.
- 16:44Speaker 5: Course correcting at the end did not work for me.
- 16:46Speaker 5: I love The Last Jedi. It's my favorite of the
- 16:48Speaker 5: new trilogy. But it's because it has a lot of
- 16:50Speaker 5: tropes that I was born a Star War. You take
- 16:52Speaker 5: a lot of the Phone Wars moments that I love
- 16:54Speaker 5: and brought them to the like the big screen, and
- 16:56Speaker 5: I was all like, although, blowing up the ship like
- 16:58Speaker 5: that's my next tattoo, very legitimate?
- 17:00Speaker 1: But who hold out?
- 17:01Speaker 5: Man?
- 17:01Speaker 1: And where to fuck this hold over?
- 17:03Speaker 5: If you had read the book Princess of alder On,
- 17:06Speaker 5: you would know exactly.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Read Yeah, I totally get that. But for the majority
- 17:12Speaker 1: of Star Wars fans, who the fuck is hold up?
- 17:15Speaker 1: It's like people that it's like introducing Darth Maul again
- 17:18Speaker 1: in Solo. Most of the people didn't want. Most Star
- 17:20Speaker 1: Wars fans who see the movies have never watched the
- 17:23Speaker 1: Clone Wars and have never watched Rebels, so they have
- 17:25Speaker 1: no idea that Darth Maul survives this fall uh from
- 17:29Speaker 1: uh from obi Wan when obi Wan slices happens. Hold on,
- 17:33Speaker 1: just just wait a second.
- 17:35Speaker 3: I'm worried people are tuning out. I'm worried. I'm worried
- 17:39Speaker 3: that people are We're gonna pin podcast, We're gonna We're
- 17:43Speaker 3: gonna pin.
- 17:44Speaker 1: It now, We're gonna pin it now, let's get back
- 17:46Speaker 1: to scrubs. Is that something you want to say? Joel
- 17:49Speaker 1: period out.
- 17:50Speaker 2: It and then we can move on. But just this
- 17:51Speaker 2: is the new the new conversation of nerds. All nerd me.
- 17:54Speaker 5: You had to read all the comics to go into
- 17:56Speaker 5: the movies the TV shows to enjoy this stuff, because
- 17:58Speaker 5: that's whe all the GT details were, and that's how
- 17:59Speaker 5: we separated. And I don't want to reopen the argument
- 18:02Speaker 5: of what a true nerd is. You can like things
- 18:03Speaker 5: and be as nerdy about them as you want to.
- 18:05Speaker 5: But I find something so so satisfying about having read
- 18:08Speaker 5: one hundred comic books and thirty six novels and getting
- 18:10Speaker 5: to the movie and then all of that backward is
- 18:12Speaker 5: paid off in the film.
- 18:13Speaker 2: It's people.
- 18:14Speaker 6: I know.
- 18:14Speaker 5: It alienates some people, and that pressures people, but get
- 18:17Speaker 5: on board, like.
- 18:18Speaker 1: It's awesome, Joel, you and I are the same person.
- 18:20Speaker 1: I've read damn near every Star Wars comic book, like
- 18:23Speaker 1: I have singles, I have the actual graphic novels I
- 18:27Speaker 1: have at all. But that being said, man, it's like
- 18:30Speaker 1: you got to look at it as a lot of
- 18:31Speaker 1: people don't read that shit, and because they don't read
- 18:33Speaker 1: that shit, you got to keep the story. You know,
- 18:36Speaker 1: you can still pay homage and have little inside jokes,
- 18:39Speaker 1: but you can't make actual storyline about things that happen
- 18:43Speaker 1: in the comic that only you know, like a million
- 18:45Speaker 1: people read, you know, I mean, you just can't. You
- 18:48Speaker 1: just see what you're saying if the same yet, And
- 18:52Speaker 1: that being said, six eight.
- 18:55Speaker 7: I'm not sure we made a bunch of Nurse's story.
- 19:09Speaker 5: Here, yea.
- 19:17Speaker 3: I think we should have kept going. I just think
- 19:19Speaker 3: we should have kept the preamble because you know why
- 19:22Speaker 3: people are gonna think. Joel and Donald have begun a
- 19:25Speaker 3: Star Wars podcast, and I accidentally clicked on that.
- 19:31Speaker 1: By the way, I was literally only three minutes, dude.
- 19:34Speaker 3: It was literally it was great. I was able to
- 19:36Speaker 3: get a light nap in listen Isaac Isaac Washington, Ted
- 19:42Speaker 3: Lang from The Love Boat.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Yes, he's how awesome is that? He's amazing in this
- 19:46Speaker 1: episode too.
- 19:47Speaker 3: Yes, he's a good actor. And I always thought that.
- 19:49Speaker 1: He had done more episodes than just this one. I
- 19:52Speaker 1: thought he was in two of them.
- 19:53Speaker 3: Now, did you watch The Love Boat? There's so many
- 19:55Speaker 3: episodes of love It's like over two hundred episodes of
- 19:57Speaker 3: The Love Boat. Did you watch?
- 19:59Speaker 1: I watched several, so it's a the Love Boat. I
- 20:01Speaker 1: do believe he did more than this. I think we didn't.
- 20:03Speaker 1: We have other cast members from The Love Boat on?
- 20:06Speaker 3: Yes, well doc Doc was on? Wasn't Doc on?
- 20:11Speaker 1: Yeah? I believe so I could. Let's this is a
- 20:14Speaker 1: Scrubs wiki question.
- 20:15Speaker 3: No, we can't put him to work right away. Dude,
- 20:18Speaker 3: how are we doing with him? Joelle? Do we getting
- 20:19Speaker 3: him his vocal pops? Okay, he's happy.
- 20:22Speaker 2: You gotta keep him very happy.
- 20:24Speaker 3: It's like you gotta keep you gotta feed the beast.
- 20:25Speaker 3: You gotta give him a swag every time he answers
- 20:27Speaker 3: a question, Donald.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Do you want me to do the recap?
- 20:31Speaker 3: Oh?
- 20:31Speaker 1: Yeah? Oh yeah?
- 20:32Speaker 3: Did you rehearse?
- 20:33Speaker 1: I didn't this time?
- 20:34Speaker 3: Okay, let me get my timer ready. I don't really
- 20:38Speaker 3: think this is I'm gonna say something controversial that I
- 20:40Speaker 3: don't say very often. Right, this episode is not.
- 20:45Speaker 1: That great, Okay, I I wow, that's that's something to
- 20:51Speaker 1: be said.
- 20:52Speaker 3: Uh, it's all right. And by the way, to all
- 20:56Speaker 3: stars behind it, Matt Tarsus and Mark Bucklan, I'm just
- 21:00Speaker 3: saying it wasn't one of my favorites. I didn't.
- 21:02Speaker 1: It doesn't really go anywhere at the end. This is
- 21:05Speaker 1: just like a day in the life in the hospital
- 21:07Speaker 1: and it kind of you'll kind of hear that in
- 21:09Speaker 1: my recap.
- 21:10Speaker 3: It feels like a B side.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Yes, it's like a it's like a It's like right,
- 21:15Speaker 1: it's like the Wu Tang Clan came out with Protect
- 21:18Speaker 1: Your Neck, and on the B side was Method Man.
- 21:21Speaker 1: The Method Man's song is Dope and to Protected next.
- 21:24Speaker 1: I can't this is a bad example because both songs
- 21:26Speaker 1: are so really just really good. All right.
- 21:28Speaker 3: This is I think we all know a song on
- 21:30Speaker 3: the album that comes out that's like, eh, it's not
- 21:33Speaker 3: the best song, but I'll still play it, right, And
- 21:35Speaker 3: that's how I feel about this episode. It's like, it's fine,
- 21:37Speaker 3: there's some funny shit in the opera, singer singing mister mistake,
- 21:41Speaker 3: and there's some there's a couple of funny things. But
- 21:43Speaker 3: I was I didn't I didn't really laugh out loud
- 21:46Speaker 3: that much.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Okay, Rob said, here we go.
- 21:50Speaker 3: Wait, wait, let me get my timer ready, okay and go.
- 21:54Speaker 1: The gang has reached a new level of confidence, but
- 21:56Speaker 1: all make big mistakes in this episode. They all have
- 22:00Speaker 1: to learn to live with it, because, let's be honest,
- 22:03Speaker 1: in real life, you don't get a do over. Some
- 22:05Speaker 1: find it very challenging, some find it very easy. But
- 22:08Speaker 1: in the end, all of them are happy with how
- 22:10Speaker 1: they've confronted their mistake and have learned a lesson or
- 22:13Speaker 1: so it seems.
- 22:16Speaker 3: Well, that was twenty three seconds.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Wow, that's all I mean.
- 22:19Speaker 3: I feel like you need to be really using your
- 22:23Speaker 3: time because.
- 22:25Speaker 1: I'm trying to listen. I have anxiety over this every
- 22:28Speaker 1: fucking episode.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Good, you had seven seconds. You could have gone into
- 22:32Speaker 3: detail about the janitor wearing a white coat.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Well, no, because that's not the that's not the that's
- 22:38Speaker 1: not a recap. That's when you.
- 22:42Speaker 3: When you when you're fucking just giving up seven seconds.
- 22:45Speaker 3: You could be talking about the B story of the
- 22:46Speaker 3: C story.
- 22:47Speaker 1: You could that's but I think that's what we're supposed
- 22:49Speaker 1: to do in the podcast.
- 22:50Speaker 3: No, but you could also be like. And also the janitor,
- 22:52Speaker 3: you can be like. And also the janitor wears a
- 22:53Speaker 3: white coat because he tries.
- 22:54Speaker 1: To tell me, tell me if I have tell me
- 22:57Speaker 1: if I get this in seven seconds. And also the
- 22:58Speaker 1: janitor wears a white coat because JD decided to wear
- 23:01Speaker 1: a white coat to work one day.
- 23:02Speaker 3: Okay, good, that was a very.
- 23:04Speaker 1: Funny storyline, though I thought. I thought the fact that no,
- 23:07Speaker 1: well that too, but the fact that JD decided to
- 23:10Speaker 1: wear you know what, I'm a fucking resident. Now I'm
- 23:12Speaker 1: gonna wear a white coat to work, right, and and
- 23:16Speaker 1: and because I'm important and I'm a doctor and I
- 23:19Speaker 1: need this white.
- 23:20Speaker 3: He was feeling himself.
- 23:21Speaker 1: He was totally feeling himself. He's feeling accomplished. Yeah, you know.
- 23:25Speaker 3: Well and then a little bit of trivia. Doctor Cox
- 23:28Speaker 3: does not wear a white coat the whole episode.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Which is odd because he wears a white coat always.
- 23:34Speaker 3: Right, And I think I get I'm assuming it was
- 23:37Speaker 3: some directorial choice to have him in his biceps. By
- 23:41Speaker 3: the way, his biceps, he must have done a lot
- 23:42Speaker 3: of I have a sense that Johnny and the director decided, oh,
- 23:47Speaker 3: I won't wear a white coat, just to really accentuate
- 23:49Speaker 3: what a dork JD is. And then Johnny was like,
- 23:52Speaker 3: but but in lieu of a white coat, my biceps
- 23:54Speaker 3: are going to be fucking pumped.
- 23:57Speaker 1: He doesn't fuck around, man.
- 23:58Speaker 3: You can tell he was curling before.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Where you've seen you can tell that Johnny does not
- 24:02Speaker 1: fuck around when it comes to fitness. Man. His fitness
- 24:05Speaker 1: was you know, I don't know how you know his
- 24:08Speaker 1: His wife is very health conscious when it comes to
- 24:11Speaker 1: eating and stuff like that. I don't know if Johnny
- 24:13Speaker 1: was like that before he met her, but he definitely
- 24:17Speaker 1: was putting on He was definitely in.
- 24:19Speaker 3: The diet wise, but bro, he was always ripped.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Yeah, he was putting that work.
- 24:23Speaker 3: He puts us to shame, dude, yeah he is. How
- 24:26Speaker 3: are you doing on your fitness thing? By the way,
- 24:28Speaker 3: because I've been being a little lazy. I mean, obviously
- 24:30Speaker 3: I've got a few things on my mind, but I've
- 24:32Speaker 3: been I haven't really been killing it.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Well until they make weed that doesn't give you the munchies.
- 24:36Speaker 1: I'm in deep shit pretty much like I were stuck
- 24:40Speaker 1: in a loop. I work out an hour every day
- 24:43Speaker 1: pretty much. I work out, you know, with the trainer.
- 24:47Speaker 1: I work out, you know, on my peloton. I have
- 24:50Speaker 1: food that's delivered to me. The shout out to Trifecta Nutrition.
- 24:54Speaker 3: Do you know, by the way in there's an allowable
- 24:57Speaker 3: amount of of like insect and rodent parts allowed in tuna.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Well, you're allowed to eat. Yeah, the FDA allows you
- 25:05Speaker 1: to allows packaging and all of that stuff. You're allowed
- 25:08Speaker 1: to eat a certain amount of.
- 25:10Speaker 3: I'm sure it's in all foods because you just can't control.
- 25:12Speaker 3: You can't get if you have a factory, you can't
- 25:14Speaker 3: get your insects slash roadent problem down to zero. But
- 25:17Speaker 3: there is like literally you can google it. There's like
- 25:20Speaker 3: an allowable amount of like roach slash rat parts allowed
- 25:25Speaker 3: in tuna fish. Did you know that? Joel?
- 25:31Speaker 1: You're ruining food for so many people.
- 25:33Speaker 3: I'm just telling you. If you don't believe me, if
- 25:35Speaker 3: you're sitting there listening, going if you like doing the.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Salad sandwich, you might want to change your.
- 25:40Speaker 3: Joel, can you google what the allowable amount of of
- 25:44Speaker 3: roach slash rodent parts in tuna is? Use Google? Like,
- 25:48Speaker 3: Joel's gonna Joe Well's gonna do it for you guys,
- 25:51Speaker 3: because you're probably jogging or breastfeeding or doing the dishes.
- 25:56Speaker 3: I'm listening to podcasts while I do dishes. It's nice
- 25:59Speaker 3: to speeds along the dishes, does it.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Yeah, you have a lot of dishes like that where
- 26:04Speaker 1: you gotta be where you're washing for an hour. And well, my.
- 26:07Speaker 3: Girlfriends are really good. No, it's the whole pocket. My
- 26:09Speaker 3: girlriends are really good cook and she's always mate.
- 26:11Speaker 1: Just because she uses a lot of pots and pans
- 26:13Speaker 1: doesn't make her a really good cook. Bro.
- 26:15Speaker 3: You know for a fact, my girlfriends are ridiculous cook.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Your girlfriend's are very fucking good cook. She's a phenomenon.
- 26:20Speaker 3: Not only is she making these gourmet meals, but also
- 26:22Speaker 3: there's like breads going during the day and it's like
- 26:25Speaker 3: a whole thing, and I'm so appreciative it. But then
- 26:27Speaker 3: I look at the sink and it's like like psycho
- 26:32Speaker 3: and so I got god, Joelle's face is not making.
- 26:35Speaker 1: She's not making.
- 26:37Speaker 2: Oh, here you go.
- 26:39Speaker 5: This is According to LiveScience dot com, ground cinnamon can
- 26:42Speaker 5: contain up to an average of four hundred insect fragments
- 26:47Speaker 5: per fifty grams. Regular can do an average of three
- 26:50Speaker 5: hundred insect fragments per ten grams?
- 26:54Speaker 3: Yeah, and tuna. I remember tuna being high.
- 26:58Speaker 1: How many grams in announce specifically twenty eight grams and announce?
- 27:03Speaker 1: How do you know that, Daniel?
- 27:04Speaker 3: How do you think I know that?
- 27:06Speaker 1: Could you be selling that ship on the regular?
- 27:11Speaker 3: Don't get the cobs coming to his store? Wait a
- 27:13Speaker 3: second coming after?
- 27:14Speaker 1: Did you find say coming to be the Feds? Did
- 27:17Speaker 1: you find feds?
- 27:18Speaker 3: Did you find tuna? Joelle?
- 27:20Speaker 5: I think that's what Daniel to said to you.
- 27:23Speaker 1: No, he was talking about how many grams.
- 27:25Speaker 3: And no, No, Joelle, Yeah, tuna look tuna specifically because
- 27:33Speaker 3: I remember reading that being like, oh, you're allowed to
- 27:35Speaker 3: have rat parts in your tuna. By the way, my
- 27:41Speaker 3: episode is supposed to have Cat Stevens Here Comes My Baby,
- 27:43Speaker 3: but I didn't have it on there. Did you guys
- 27:45Speaker 3: have it?
- 27:46Speaker 2: No? I think it's on the DVD version.
- 27:48Speaker 3: Oh see, this is one of those examples of they
- 27:50Speaker 3: replaced the song. I definitely didn't have that beautiful Cat
- 27:53Speaker 3: Stephens song Here Comes My Baby in this.
- 27:55Speaker 1: I found it very interesting in this episode that a
- 27:58Speaker 1: bunch of doctors didn't know where the g spot was.
- 28:01Speaker 3: M Well. I found that Sarah's character to know the
- 28:05Speaker 3: GSP no and the young she was a nurse. She
- 28:08Speaker 3: was a young nurse.
- 28:09Speaker 1: That doesn't mean listen man, come on, now, come on, buddy.
- 28:13Speaker 3: I think that that it wasn't like she was that
- 28:16Speaker 3: particular young woman didn't know and because Sarah was being
- 28:19Speaker 3: slut shamed by the way, this episode is about someone
- 28:21Speaker 3: being slut shamed. Yeah, and uh, yeah, Sarah, it is
- 28:26Speaker 3: slutshained by the entire hospital because she had a one
- 28:28Speaker 3: night stand.
- 28:30Speaker 1: That's fou. I find that very interesting. And this is
- 28:32Speaker 1: an age old argument, but I find it very interesting
- 28:37Speaker 1: that women aren't allowed to or in society society base
- 28:41Speaker 1: women aren't allowed to be as sexual as they want
- 28:46Speaker 1: to be without being shamed for it. Yeah.
- 28:49Speaker 3: I think that's ridiculous too, And I think this episode
- 28:52Speaker 3: early on was trying to was trying to point it
- 28:54Speaker 3: out how bullshit it was. Also, Sarah's looking for some
- 28:57Speaker 3: sort of identity. Elliott's looking for some sort of identity
- 29:00Speaker 3: in the hospital. She doesn't really have any. You and
- 29:03Speaker 3: Judy tell her that her only an identity is being white,
- 29:07Speaker 3: and and she's looking for something that will help her
- 29:10Speaker 3: stand out. So then as much as she doesn't like
- 29:13Speaker 3: the attention she gets for this one night stand. She's
- 29:16Speaker 3: then starting to enjoy it a little bit because she's like, oh,
- 29:19Speaker 3: I love you know. Towards the end she starts like
- 29:21Speaker 3: feeling it a little bit. She's like, I'm Elliott Reid.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Tramp, but there's nothing. That's the one thing that I'm
- 29:31Speaker 1: that I find. It's just a little weird to me,
- 29:35Speaker 1: because you know, a guy sleeps with a lot of
- 29:37Speaker 1: girls and he can still be looked at as a stud.
- 29:40Speaker 1: A girl sleeps with a lot of guys, she's a slut.
- 29:42Speaker 1: You know, why is that?
- 29:44Speaker 3: Why is that?
- 29:44Speaker 1: I don't understand I don't I don't understand it.
- 29:47Speaker 5: Either's body needs to be a commodity and so it
- 29:50Speaker 5: can be tarn ished. Where it's a guy, I can't
- 29:51Speaker 5: charge his body because not worth anything other than what
- 29:54Speaker 5: you can fighte for. But if a girl's body is violated,
- 29:56Speaker 5: then was she worth marrying? And we just haven't let
- 29:59Speaker 5: go that thought process.
- 30:01Speaker 1: That's stupid. That's some stupid ass ship right there, Joelle.
- 30:05Speaker 1: That can't I can't get over that.
- 30:07Speaker 3: It is real talk though, that it's bullshit that there
- 30:09Speaker 3: is a double standard and women can't do all the
- 30:12Speaker 3: fun adventures.
- 30:14Speaker 1: No, they can't. They just you're gonna get a shamed
- 30:16Speaker 1: for it.
- 30:16Speaker 3: I know. But that's bullshit, Yeah it is. I agree,
- 30:19Speaker 3: that's fucking bullshit. All the guys the whole point in
- 30:22Speaker 3: this episode, these guys, all these these mancho surgeons are
- 30:24Speaker 3: all chest bumping and high fiving and talking about women.
- 30:28Speaker 3: And then Sarah like goes and has a one night
- 30:30Speaker 3: stand and the whole hospital is talking about it, and
- 30:33Speaker 3: everyone's staring at her, and everyone's giggling, and everyone's and
- 30:36Speaker 3: and this game of telephone goes around the whole hospital
- 30:39Speaker 3: until finally it gets whispered in her ear and she's
- 30:42Speaker 3: like listening and she's, wait, I'm Elliott Reid.
- 30:48Speaker 1: And you didn't laugh at that. You didn't think that
- 30:49Speaker 1: was funny.
- 30:50Speaker 3: I thought that was funny. I thought Sarah was funny
- 30:52Speaker 3: in this. She made me laugh a few times. And
- 30:53Speaker 3: Rob made me laugh a few times when he when
- 30:55Speaker 3: when he when he's when he's doing his motor boating,
- 31:00Speaker 3: I mean, he does some funny.
- 31:02Speaker 1: I laughed. I thought it was real cool the way
- 31:05Speaker 1: it was shot me high fiving all of my friends,
- 31:07Speaker 1: Yeah that was and all of that stuff.
- 31:09Speaker 3: And then it cuts to me and goes bye bye Turk.
- 31:11Speaker 1: I thought that was very fun.
- 31:13Speaker 3: What about your lisp which is really prominent, and you go,
- 31:15Speaker 3: it's very I wrote it down, you wrote my back
- 31:19Speaker 3: is as swollen as Elliott's big ass breaths her.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Horrible.
- 31:26Speaker 3: How many more episodes do we have to endure this lisp?
- 31:28Speaker 1: I think it's like six or seven episodes before Bill
- 31:31Speaker 1: was firing, Like, you got to cut that shit now?
- 31:32Speaker 3: And now I see what Bill? And these are the
- 31:34Speaker 3: takes Bill chose. Yeah, and I'm sure you made you
- 31:37Speaker 3: a d R. But how you adr it any better?
- 31:39Speaker 3: Because you got the fucking list.
- 31:40Speaker 1: It's That's one thing that changed a lot throughout Scrubs
- 31:45Speaker 1: was my my teeth. You know what I mean. I
- 31:47Speaker 1: went from really tiny teeth to medium sized teeth to
- 31:51Speaker 1: season nine when I freaking get my teeth picked like
- 31:54Speaker 1: in season nine, I have temporaries and so you'll notice
- 31:57Speaker 1: it when we start watching. My teeth look like fucking
- 32:00Speaker 1: I got you know, I got jacked up teeth, you
- 32:03Speaker 1: know what I mean?
- 32:04Speaker 3: How many how many types? How many different rounds of
- 32:06Speaker 3: teeth have you had?
- 32:08Speaker 1: I've had like four?
- 32:09Speaker 3: Oh my god, see your baby teeth right.
- 32:12Speaker 1: Baby, the baby teeth that I started with. Then we
- 32:14Speaker 1: then I tried to correct the baby teeth that I
- 32:17Speaker 1: When I look back at it now, I'm like, I
- 32:18Speaker 1: wish I didn't correct it because my smile was so youthful.
- 32:21Speaker 1: But it was because I had teeth of a child.
- 32:23Speaker 3: But I have a question, did your teeth? Did your
- 32:25Speaker 3: baby teeth never fall out?
- 32:27Speaker 1: They did, except for one one didn't fall out and
- 32:29Speaker 1: it was stuck.
- 32:30Speaker 3: Why didn't you have it pulled?
- 32:32Speaker 1: Because the big tooth grew around it and I would
- 32:35Speaker 1: have had a big gap in my uh in my
- 32:39Speaker 1: mouth from that happening.
- 32:41Speaker 3: Okay, did not take you to the dentist or some shit.
- 32:44Speaker 1: They did, But I didn't want to get braces. I
- 32:47Speaker 1: was like, g the fuck out, I'm not getting braces.
- 32:49Speaker 3: Ironic, and then ironically, your most famous role was having
- 32:52Speaker 3: braces to hide your fucked up teeth.
- 32:54Speaker 1: To hide my fucked up teeth.
- 32:56Speaker 3: Okay, So then we're in scrubs and you get your
- 32:58Speaker 3: teeth Redney, Yes, and then you had them redone again.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Well, I got them redone. I got a bridge put in.
- 33:05Speaker 1: And then one night, while eating uh from green Blatz,
- 33:08Speaker 1: I was eating a Rubert Postrami ruben sandwich from green
- 33:11Speaker 1: Blats and the bread was extra hard, and I broke
- 33:16Speaker 1: my bridge. And so when I went back to get
- 33:19Speaker 1: the bridge fixed, he was like, why don't we just
- 33:20Speaker 1: put a screw in it and there you won't ever
- 33:24Speaker 1: have to worry about a bridge again. I was like,
- 33:25Speaker 1: all right, fine, let's do that shit. And then the
- 33:28Speaker 1: screw that they the the fake tooth that they put in,
- 33:32Speaker 1: was bigger than all the teeth in my mouth, and
- 33:35Speaker 1: so I was like, all right, now we gotta fix this. Now,
- 33:37Speaker 1: I gotta for symmetry purposes, let's fix the whole thing.
- 33:41Speaker 1: And that's how That's how it happened.
- 33:42Speaker 3: Now these do these ones come out at night? You
- 33:44Speaker 3: put them in like a cup.
- 33:51Speaker 1: They're not dentures.
- 33:52Speaker 3: Oh I picture they pop them out at night. Do
- 34:00Speaker 3: you put that little tablet in there?
- 34:01Speaker 1: I don't like you right now. With my grandfather, you.
- 34:04Speaker 3: Put that a little bubbly tablet in there.
- 34:09Speaker 1: It's real funny when when when I used to ensure
- 34:11Speaker 1: my grandfather and he would wake up in the morning
- 34:13Speaker 1: and didn't have his teeth in, how its face looked.
- 34:15Speaker 1: I can only imagine me right now with no teeth
- 34:17Speaker 1: in my mouth.
- 34:18Speaker 3: Oh my god, it's not a good look. It's not
- 34:21Speaker 3: it's a good look for hey, listen, I can be
- 34:23Speaker 3: self deprecating about my appearance as well. I have no chin,
- 34:26Speaker 3: and that really you know, a lot of times the
- 34:29Speaker 3: cinematographer and the director would shoot me in a way
- 34:31Speaker 3: that I I didn't mind the way I looked, But
- 34:35Speaker 3: this episode in particular, I feel going, oh, that is
- 34:37Speaker 3: not a good angle I have. I just have no chin.
- 34:41Speaker 1: I disagree with that.
- 34:45Speaker 3: Someone once wrote about me like some like reporter was
- 34:49Speaker 3: like writing a review and I'm like, the chinless brath.
- 34:53Speaker 1: See, that's some bullshit, and that's tab that's a tabloid
- 34:58Speaker 1: speaking right now.
- 34:59Speaker 3: That was obviously it obviously wasn't a nice person, but
- 35:02Speaker 3: that's what they wrote.
- 35:03Speaker 1: There's no way that's a respectable journalist, you know what
- 35:06Speaker 1: I mean. Anybody who's gonna sit there and make fun
- 35:09Speaker 1: of someone's appearance to describe them is not a real journalist.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Because we all come in different I'm.
- 35:16Speaker 3: Saying if I were to get dancers like yours, I
- 35:18Speaker 3: would get like chin dentures.
- 35:20Speaker 1: I don't have dentures. You fucking let's go to break.
- 35:23Speaker 1: We gotta go to break. Let's go to break. We'll
- 35:25Speaker 1: be right back.
- 35:32Speaker 3: I'm just saying, if they made like a chin, I
- 35:34Speaker 3: know they make chin implants, but I'm not gonna go
- 35:36Speaker 3: have surgery. But if they were like a temporary thing,
- 35:38Speaker 3: like it was like a equivalent of dentures. But it
- 35:40Speaker 3: just kind of clipped on and made me look like
- 35:43Speaker 3: I had a bigger chin. Maybe I'll get a prosthetic
- 35:46Speaker 3: for like one of my roles, one of my movie parts.
- 35:49Speaker 1: You know, I feel that way about my hair, man,
- 35:51Speaker 1: I feel that way about my hair. You know a
- 35:53Speaker 1: lot of people are blessed with a lot of hair.
- 35:56Speaker 1: I have hair that is leaving me.
- 35:58Speaker 3: It's get plugs.
- 36:00Speaker 1: No, black people can't get plugs.
- 36:02Speaker 3: Why.
- 36:03Speaker 1: It just doesn't do well, Like it doesn't do well
- 36:05Speaker 1: with the with the the healing process and all of
- 36:09Speaker 1: these other things. They don't. It just doesn't. If you
- 36:12Speaker 1: look it up, African American hair doesn't do well with
- 36:15Speaker 1: hair plugs. That's why all the Bosley commercials it's mostly
- 36:18Speaker 1: white men.
- 36:19Speaker 3: Oh I never knew that.
- 36:21Speaker 1: Yeah, what about it to pay? What about you kiss
- 36:24Speaker 1: my ass? What about let's get back into the show.
- 36:27Speaker 2: Jamie Fox has a great one.
- 36:30Speaker 1: Well, I don't know that. I know that, I know
- 36:33Speaker 1: that Jamie does wear his hair. Okay, is this something
- 36:39Speaker 1: we can talk about?
- 36:40Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean it's halfway pictures. I don't have the
- 36:42Speaker 5: real skinny on what's going on, but you can see
- 36:45Speaker 5: that that Lebron James to get here lying constantly.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Well, that's the greatest comeback ever in sports history right there.
- 36:51Speaker 1: It's his hairline. Dude, Lebron's guy. Lebron was bold.
- 36:56Speaker 3: Dude, Why do you call Lebron's guy?
- 36:58Speaker 1: I'm sure because you know what, I think. Lebron did
- 37:00Speaker 1: the hair plugs and it worked for him because he
- 37:04Speaker 1: has the scar on his head. Now that's the problem
- 37:07Speaker 1: with hair plugs. You had to get a scar on
- 37:08Speaker 1: your head.
- 37:09Speaker 3: Do you want me to call Lebron and ask him
- 37:11Speaker 3: who did his plugs? Because I'm making another culture. I'm
- 37:14Speaker 3: calling Figgy, I'm calling Sean Bailey. Do you want me
- 37:16Speaker 3: to add Lebron?
- 37:17Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 37:17Speaker 3: Sure, okay, Lebron hair plugs for Donald. Got a lot
- 37:21Speaker 3: of calls to me today.
- 37:23Speaker 1: You know the funniest part of Malthel McConaughey, what the
- 37:25Speaker 1: hell did he do? Because that sit was on its
- 37:27Speaker 1: way out and now he has a fullhead of hair.
- 37:30Speaker 1: He looks like freaking He's got a gold he's got
- 37:33Speaker 1: golden locks, he's got a mane.
- 37:36Speaker 3: You know what. The funniest part of this episode is
- 37:38Speaker 3: what's that Ted's office? Yeah, we see Ted's office for
- 37:42Speaker 3: the first time and I wrote it down. He's so funny.
- 37:46Speaker 3: I tell him that he has a nosma, Ted Lang
- 37:50Speaker 3: and he goes, you cut off someone's nose? Where is it?
- 37:53Speaker 3: Do you have it with you? You're disgusting, get rid
- 37:56Speaker 3: of the nose. And then I go, Ted, just calm out.
- 38:01Speaker 3: He goes, maybe you should calm down, and then he
- 38:06Speaker 3: goes to his file folder and pulls it out and
- 38:10Speaker 3: fills out a file that says, Oh, we don't have
- 38:12Speaker 3: to worry, it's not our fault. And then I go, okay,
- 38:14Speaker 3: thanks Teddy, and he.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Goes, it's my birthday and You're like what.
- 38:17Speaker 3: And I'm like what and he goes nothing, and I
- 38:19Speaker 3: leave and he goes to himself and many more.
- 38:24Speaker 1: And it pays off in the end. It pays off
- 38:27Speaker 1: in the end when Judy's like when Judy goes and
- 38:29Speaker 1: tells Kelso about Cox actually not making a mistake and
- 38:34Speaker 1: the hospital won't get sued right, and he's like, now
- 38:37Speaker 1: get out of here because he's pissed that he can't
- 38:39Speaker 1: barade cocks and you know, make Cox feel low because
- 38:43Speaker 1: I get out here because I'm about to make somebody hurt.
- 38:45Speaker 1: And here comes Ted with his cupcake.
- 38:47Speaker 3: Yeah, for his birthday. He's got a cupcake with a
- 38:51Speaker 3: candle in it that he's lit for himself.
- 38:54Speaker 1: He's like, you mind if I sit down?
- 38:55Speaker 3: Mind if I sit down? And then Kells's.
- 38:57Speaker 1: Like, yes, please, by all means.
- 39:00Speaker 3: That's so funny. How great is Sam Lloyd?
- 39:02Speaker 1: Sam Lloyd amazing? Rest in peace? Sam Lloyd so amazing?
- 39:06Speaker 1: On this do we?
- 39:07Speaker 3: Speaking of rest in peace? I got to mention that
- 39:09Speaker 3: that beautiful woman from Glee who they who they found today?
- 39:14Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, they found they found they found a body.
- 39:18Speaker 1: They haven't. TMZ says it's a they haven't.
- 39:21Speaker 3: That is the most tragic fucking story. I mean, people
- 39:24Speaker 3: are just dying in the most horrible ways. It feels
- 39:26Speaker 3: like lately, yeah, and and and and I don't know
- 39:30Speaker 3: I thought that that that she I never met her
- 39:33Speaker 3: in real life, but man, she was so talented and
- 39:36Speaker 3: out on a boat with her kid. I mean fucking hell.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Yeah, it's uh it's really crazy. Kelly Preston, Kelly Preston,
- 39:46Speaker 1: rest in peace. Yeah, yeah, crazy.
- 39:50Speaker 5: And you guys, Russell Westbrook was just chested positive for
- 39:53Speaker 5: COVID nineteen.
- 39:55Speaker 1: Wow, who's that?
- 39:57Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 39:58Speaker 1: So, Russell Westbrook is is one of the NBA's elite players.
- 40:02Speaker 1: He's the only NBA player since Bill No, since Oscar
- 40:07Speaker 1: Robertson to average a triple double for an entire season.
- 40:10Speaker 1: He's done it for a couple of seasons. Uh, and
- 40:13Speaker 1: he just tested positive for COVID. That's crazy.
- 40:16Speaker 3: So the basketball season is not going to really be
- 40:18Speaker 3: able to happen, right.
- 40:19Speaker 1: They're all in a bubble. Listen, if golf can happen,
- 40:22Speaker 1: if all of these are.
- 40:23Speaker 3: Golf is different golf, you're out on your own. These
- 40:25Speaker 3: guys are going to be bumping up against each other.
- 40:28Speaker 1: Yeah. But if you can can that's the whole thing.
- 40:30Speaker 1: If you can contain the virus in that bubble and
- 40:34Speaker 1: it not blow up in that bubble, you can then
- 40:38Speaker 1: have a season. The problem. You would do it if
- 40:41Speaker 1: I could, If you could safely tell me that everyone
- 40:45Speaker 1: is being tested going into this bubble, yeah, I would
- 40:48Speaker 1: do it. So what's like, that's like going and doing
- 40:51Speaker 1: a movie right now. I would assure you they're not
- 40:54Speaker 1: going to be able to I totally agree, but if
- 40:56Speaker 1: they could assure you, we'll have everybody crew included, and
- 41:02Speaker 1: food being made within everything, catering everything. No one leaves
- 41:07Speaker 1: this bubble after you've been tested and you get tested regularly, and.
- 41:11Speaker 3: Then it all it takes is one person to go
- 41:13Speaker 3: make that mistake.
- 41:14Speaker 1: Yeah, Beard fa says in the background in this episode, Ye,
- 41:18Speaker 1: good to see mckhead is in this episode.
- 41:20Speaker 3: Mickhead is one of the guys ogling Sarah Chalk.
- 41:23Speaker 1: Yes, at the end of the episode.
- 41:25Speaker 3: Yeah, lots of men are What about when Todd is
- 41:29Speaker 3: playing the bongos on doctor Amato's head, that's funny.
- 41:32Speaker 1: Yeah, that is very funny to me. How about uh,
- 41:35Speaker 1: would you say, doctor Amato?
- 41:37Speaker 3: Doctor Almao?
- 41:38Speaker 1: Yeah, what did you say before that? But you say
- 41:40Speaker 1: something wrong?
- 41:41Speaker 3: Doctor Amato. By the way, they couldn't have found a
- 41:46Speaker 3: shorter actor, and so there's there's all this like creative
- 41:48Speaker 3: camera work to try and make him seem shorter than
- 41:52Speaker 3: he actually is.
- 41:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 41:53Speaker 3: I mean, the guy did a great job, but I
- 41:55Speaker 3: don't know why they didn't just hire a shorter person.
- 41:59Speaker 1: Yeah, there's one shot where at the end it's definitely
- 42:02Speaker 1: a camera up high on a high angle looking down
- 42:07Speaker 1: at him, and then on a camera on a low
- 42:08Speaker 1: angle looking.
- 42:09Speaker 3: They had to accentuate it to make it. I mean,
- 42:12Speaker 3: he's sure he's a short man, but I.
- 42:14Speaker 1: Mean they tried to make him hobbit short though.
- 42:16Speaker 3: Yeah, they tried to. They tried to do some Hobbit ship, right. Yeah,
- 42:19Speaker 3: you really like cheated the size of them.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Yeah, that's funny.
- 42:23Speaker 3: When she Elliot's talking about you know, when she gets
- 42:25Speaker 3: into it, she says, I'm Elliott Reid Tramp. She starts
- 42:27Speaker 3: to get into it and she's like, I told I
- 42:29Speaker 3: told her the only two sexual positions I know, and
- 42:31Speaker 3: then I just started naming bugs. And then she goes,
- 42:35Speaker 3: the thing is, she said, she already tried stink bug.
- 42:40Speaker 3: That was funny.
- 42:43Speaker 1: We should talk about this bingo game that everybody's been
- 42:45Speaker 1: playing now that Joel brought to our attention.
- 42:48Speaker 3: I brought it to your attention.
- 42:49Speaker 1: Well, Joel brought it to your attention. You know she didn't. Oh,
- 42:56Speaker 1: I saw it on Twitter.
- 42:57Speaker 3: It was amazing.
- 42:58Speaker 1: That's pretty cool. Uh, you already said quite a few
- 43:02Speaker 1: things from the I was.
- 43:03Speaker 3: On time are you playing the game?
- 43:06Speaker 5: No?
- 43:06Speaker 1: But I looked at and I was like, wow, this
- 43:07Speaker 1: is really interesting. These are our habits that we seem
- 43:10Speaker 1: to do in every episode, or almost every episode, enough
- 43:14Speaker 1: so that somebody can play a game of bingo.
- 43:16Speaker 3: Right, I don't have it in front of me. What
- 43:18Speaker 3: were some of the things?
- 43:19Speaker 1: Well, you saying that's funny?
- 43:21Speaker 3: Have I said that so far?
- 43:23Speaker 1: You said that several times? So far? Okay, me being late,
- 43:28Speaker 1: me saying you know what I mean? Us arguing, us
- 43:31Speaker 1: arguing five, six, seven, eight?
- 43:33Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 43:34Speaker 1: Uh you singing, me singing?
- 43:39Speaker 3: Yeah. Oh, I think it's when Joel or Dan speaks
- 43:42Speaker 3: both happens.
- 43:43Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I.
- 43:44Speaker 3: Think we got every everyone covered. Joel, what are some
- 43:47Speaker 3: of the other ones? You have it up in front
- 43:48Speaker 3: of you.
- 43:49Speaker 2: I was trying to look for it so we could
- 43:50Speaker 2: give credit.
- 43:51Speaker 3: It was on Twitter. Yeah, someone made a fake Doctor's
- 43:54Speaker 3: Real Friends Bingo card.
- 43:57Speaker 1: Hey.
- 43:57Speaker 3: By the way, I was thinking, you know, now that
- 43:59Speaker 3: Europe is is really conquered this we could go tour
- 44:03Speaker 3: do this show and tour it across Europe's let us
- 44:07Speaker 3: in Oh that's right, we're not allowed in in the UK.
- 44:14Speaker 3: We could just tour the UK.
- 44:17Speaker 1: We'd we'd.
- 44:19Speaker 3: Oh man, all right, imagine Europe starts letting us in again,
- 44:24Speaker 3: because this country. I'm sorry, we are so fucked with
- 44:28Speaker 3: this virus right now and it's not getting any better.
- 44:32Speaker 3: So I thought you and I should go on a
- 44:34Speaker 3: European tour and we're gonna tour fake doctors, real friends around.
- 44:38Speaker 3: We're gonna bring Joel and Daniel. We're gonna get a
- 44:41Speaker 3: big ass tour bus, and we're gonna make the fake
- 44:43Speaker 3: doctor's real friends express.
- 44:45Speaker 1: Wow, let's fucking do it. Let's do it like a
- 44:48Speaker 1: national Lampoon's European tour.
- 44:50Speaker 3: Yeah, we're gonna go on all the adventures. We're gonna
- 44:54Speaker 3: do this show live in front of people. They're gonna
- 44:56Speaker 3: come to the theater. I mean, you know, I'm not
- 44:58Speaker 3: talking about tomorrow because we're not allowed in Europe anymore,
- 45:00Speaker 3: but I'm saying like.
- 45:01Speaker 1: Soon, all right, I'm down for that second. The second
- 45:05Speaker 1: start up talking about touring recently. So maybe that's why.
- 45:08Speaker 3: I just think I'm tired of being in my house
- 45:11Speaker 3: and I know you are too. And what if there
- 45:13Speaker 3: was a way once Europe allows American citizens back in?
- 45:17Speaker 3: How embarrassing is that sentence? Do you know I think.
- 45:21Speaker 3: I read online there's like only twenty or twenty five
- 45:23Speaker 3: countries that US citizens are currently allowed into.
- 45:29Speaker 1: Fucking I read another, I read, I read another. I
- 45:33Speaker 1: read another article where it said Florida is the fourth
- 45:36Speaker 1: highest country, not fourth highest country, but it has uh
- 45:42Speaker 1: it's the fourth highest in all of the world countries
- 45:46Speaker 1: included uh COVID. It goes something like Germany, another country,
- 45:53Speaker 1: the United States of America, and then Florida.
- 45:55Speaker 3: Yeah, the Santus nailed it, nailed it this.
- 46:01Speaker 5: Let's do a real quick pick up here with the
- 46:03Speaker 5: fake doctor jil Friend's bingo.
- 46:05Speaker 2: Okay, so the person who created.
- 46:07Speaker 5: Is on Twitter as at Brown Underscore, Bear, Underscore, Moby m.
- 46:11Speaker 3: O b E.
- 46:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:14Speaker 5: Some of the other topics that would have you been
- 46:16Speaker 5: able to put on your thing today is.
- 46:19Speaker 2: Donald does an opra impression.
- 46:23Speaker 3: No, we haven't gotten there yet, but he's gonna do
- 46:25Speaker 3: when we have the guests. So you would have had.
- 46:28Speaker 8: Ask Bill star wars talk, Oh my god, star Wars talk,
- 46:35Speaker 8: ringtone reference, Willy talk, we haven't.

- 46:41Speaker 3: ringtone reference? Get your ringtones, another one, another one.
- 46:47Speaker 2: And essential workers shout out you.
- 46:49Speaker 3: Haven't done that yet.
- 46:50Speaker 1: We will haven't done that yet. That's at the end
- 46:51Speaker 1: of the show.
- 46:52Speaker 2: And someone talks about wanting a.
- 46:54Speaker 3: Hug on I do want to hug you non, So
- 46:58Speaker 3: there you go. Wow, listen, whoever brown Bear, Moby, you
- 47:04Speaker 3: did a good job because everybody would would have had
- 47:07Speaker 3: a full Bengo card. So you guys can get your
- 47:10Speaker 3: go get your fake doctor. Maybe we should we should
- 47:12Speaker 3: put that up on the maybe put a link to it, Joelle,
- 47:16Speaker 3: where can you put it?
- 47:17Speaker 1: That's a good idea maybe we can make since we've
- 47:20Speaker 1: got all of this merch coming our way. Yeah, merch,
- 47:23Speaker 1: and it's coming soon people, so just hang on, hang
- 47:26Speaker 1: in there. Yeah, maybe that's how we do it. If
- 47:29Speaker 1: you can get your Bingo card into Joel the first one.
- 47:34Speaker 1: How do we do that where we play a big
- 47:37Speaker 1: ass Bingo game and if we fulfill your card, we
- 47:41Speaker 1: should start. There's got to be a way to do
- 47:43Speaker 1: it where we hand out Bengo cards via either email
- 47:47Speaker 1: or a website where you sign up and you get
- 47:50Speaker 1: a Bengo.
- 47:51Speaker 3: It sounds like so much work. How about we just
- 47:53Speaker 3: put this dude's Bengo card like on a T shirt.
- 47:55Speaker 1: Because it's the same big Well that's fine too, but
- 47:57Speaker 1: it's the same Bengo card though people.
- 47:59Speaker 3: Aren't going to really play it. It's just the inside
- 48:00Speaker 3: joke of it.
- 48:01Speaker 1: No, one doesn't want to fucking play Bingo.
- 48:03Speaker 3: You think you be like, Okay, the show is starting,
- 48:05Speaker 3: I get a card out. No, it's not gonna happen,
- 48:07Speaker 3: and it's just a joke.
- 48:08Speaker 1: They were getting the booze out when the show started.
- 48:10Speaker 3: Yeah, but they said, like someone told me I read
- 48:12Speaker 3: on one of the comments was good thing this isn't
- 48:14Speaker 3: a drinking game, because we'd all be ship faced.
- 48:18Speaker 5: I was going to say, so, you guys do have
- 48:20Speaker 5: from our kombucha friends GTS Kombucha. Uh, they are offering
- 48:24Speaker 5: to send fre kombucha to you the fans. We can
- 48:26Speaker 5: either do it through or if you guys mister ground Beear,
- 48:30Speaker 5: I can reach out him and say thank you for
- 48:32Speaker 5: the Bingo card.
- 48:33Speaker 3: Yes, that's a good idea.
- 48:35Speaker 1: That's a great I discovered a new flavor of GT
- 48:38Speaker 1: kombuchaka what gingerberry.
- 48:42Speaker 3: Oh ginger Berry, it is good.
- 48:44Speaker 1: You know.
- 48:45Speaker 3: I went to air Onan the health food store here,
- 48:47Speaker 3: and I didn't know that there were like so many
- 48:50Speaker 3: flavors of G T's kobucha. I just know the ones
- 48:52Speaker 3: they sent us to. You know, there's like, there's so
- 48:54Speaker 3: many flavors. They had a whole frigerator rack.
- 48:57Speaker 1: It was like ginger Berry. Heaste good. Hold on a second, he's.
- 49:03Speaker 3: Probably going to get it. So that's a good idea, Joelle,
- 49:06Speaker 3: we could I think we give a prize to a
- 49:11Speaker 3: fan of a fan of a fan, a deserving fan
- 49:13Speaker 3: of the week, and I think the month of the month, okay,
- 49:18Speaker 3: because we're not gonna get it that much of the month.
- 49:20Speaker 3: So this one's this month's prize. We'll go to brown
- 49:24Speaker 3: Bear Moby yeah a mob for his uh for his
- 49:30Speaker 3: genius fake Doctor's Real Friends bingo card.
- 49:33Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 49:34Speaker 5: Yeah, I'll hit him up on Twitter now and I'll
- 49:36Speaker 5: let a know we picked a winner.
- 49:38Speaker 3: Donald while you were away, we decided that we're going
- 49:40Speaker 3: to give our monthly GT's prize to the creator of
- 49:43Speaker 3: the bingo card.
- 49:45Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, you do you?
- 49:47Speaker 3: Are you okay with that? And you're the co host,
- 49:49Speaker 3: you're the co creator of the show. Are you okay
- 49:51Speaker 3: with that?
- 49:51Speaker 1: I'm fine, I'm fine with that. Uh, there you go.
- 49:56Speaker 1: So if you have interesting ideas for our show and
- 50:01Speaker 1: you want us to or merch ideas or merch ideas,
- 50:05Speaker 1: and you want to give us, give them to us. Uh,
- 50:10Speaker 1: you won't be just giving them to us. You will
- 50:12Speaker 1: receive a gift from us.
- 50:13Speaker 3: You might receive something as dope as a GT's Kimbcha
- 50:17Speaker 3: care package.
- 50:18Speaker 1: Let me tell you something right now, I drink it
- 50:20Speaker 1: every day.
- 50:21Speaker 3: I'm out, I'm out of my last shipment.
- 50:23Speaker 1: Now I go to the store and buy it now.
- 50:24Speaker 3: Oh yeah, now I'm gonna have to go buy it too.
- 50:27Speaker 3: Now I'm gonna have to go do what you're supposed
- 50:29Speaker 3: to do and go buy it.
- 50:30Speaker 1: It's delicious, man, it really is good. I do it.
- 50:34Speaker 1: I drink when I'm working out. I drink it when
- 50:36Speaker 1: I'm just chilling out in the house. Mmm hmm, you know.
- 50:41Speaker 8: Mmm.
- 50:42Speaker 1: My wife's like, would you like another GT's Kimbucha? And
- 50:44Speaker 1: I look at it and I go another.
- 50:45Speaker 3: One, another one. But you remember you're only supposed to
- 50:49Speaker 3: have three a day. Now, that's what GT himself told us.
- 50:52Speaker 1: That's right, another one. Let's take a break.
- 50:54Speaker 3: We'll be right back after these fine words.
- 51:04Speaker 1: Hello, Jolie's cylinder, how do you say your name? Jamie?
- 51:18Speaker 3: There's the last thing for your Bingo card Donald doing
- 51:20Speaker 3: Oprah voice.
- 51:23Speaker 1: How's it go over?
- 51:25Speaker 2: How are you good?
- 51:27Speaker 3: Good to see you? Welcome to Fake Doctor's Real Friends
- 51:30Speaker 3: with Donald, Faison, Zach Braff, Daniel Goodman, and Joel Monique.
- 51:36Speaker 3: Where are you calling from? Jennie Toronto?
- 51:40Speaker 1: Or she got her she got her championship T shirt
- 51:43Speaker 1: on y'all. She's flashing her Toronto Raptors championship T shirt.
- 51:48Speaker 1: Too bad? They lost your boy last year when they
- 51:52Speaker 1: lost Kawhi Leonard. But yeah, you guys are still really
- 51:56Speaker 1: you got not only are you. I'm gonna be honest
- 51:58Speaker 1: with you. I thought you guys were gonna be I
- 52:00Speaker 1: thought you guys were gonna suck this year. But Pascal Suyakam,
- 52:03Speaker 1: Holy shit, he can play ball. Uh. Your point guard,
- 52:08Speaker 1: which is I think Mike Kaminsky. No, it's not Mike Jaminsky.
- 52:12Speaker 1: I forget his name. He has a he has a
- 52:15Speaker 1: very unique name.
- 52:16Speaker 3: It's like Otis Bird's song.
- 52:18Speaker 1: No, it's not Otis Bird's song. Uh. Anyway, he stepped up.
- 52:22Speaker 1: He's now averaging sixteen points a game.
- 52:25Speaker 8: Uh.
- 52:25Speaker 1: You guys got a little bit of a crew over there.
- 52:27Speaker 3: Je Jamie Donald said that he wanted to live in
- 52:30Speaker 3: Toronto if he could live anywhere.
- 52:32Speaker 2: I know, I love that. I was so excited. You should.
- 52:36Speaker 1: I love that city. Yeah, it's my kind of town,
- 52:39Speaker 1: you know what I mean?
- 52:39Speaker 3: What's a good What do you have a favorite bar,
- 52:41Speaker 3: Jamie that Donald and I should go to when more
- 52:43Speaker 3: in Toronto.
- 52:46Speaker 1: And when we're in the six.
- 52:49Speaker 6: Honestly, I feel like Toronto food is the best.
- 52:52Speaker 3: So okay, what's your favorite restaurant we should go to?
- 52:55Speaker 3: Is there a restaurant you should recommend?
- 52:57Speaker 1: Well, that's the thing about Toronto. Toronto is so dope
- 52:59Speaker 1: because it's not it's not American food. It's not americanized.
- 53:04Speaker 1: So it's not like, you know, you go and get
- 53:06Speaker 1: Italian American food, or you go get or you go
- 53:09Speaker 1: get Ethiopian American food. You actually go get food from
- 53:13Speaker 1: the culture. So Italian is actually the people that are
- 53:16Speaker 1: that live in Little Italy aren't necessarily from Canada. They're
- 53:22Speaker 1: from Italy and have moved too Little Italy in Toronto.
- 53:26Speaker 1: So everything's very authentic when it comes.
- 53:28Speaker 3: To that sounds good. I just thought Jamie might be like,
- 53:31Speaker 3: oh my god, you have to try such and such, like.
- 53:35Speaker 1: In and Out is an amazing burger, Like I say, if.
- 53:38Speaker 3: You come to Los Angeles, you have to try Salts Cure.
- 53:41Speaker 3: It's like the best restaurant in town.
- 53:42Speaker 1: Isn't that that restaurant that you own.
- 53:44Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's good.
- 53:46Speaker 1: Get out that place, Salts Cure.
- 53:47Speaker 3: They do have a great brunch.
- 53:48Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, salt does have a great brunch.
- 53:51Speaker 3: I know, Jamie. Sorry, this episode that you just joined
- 53:55Speaker 3: has really gone off the rails today. It's all over
- 53:57Speaker 3: the place, but it will always be remembered as a
- 54:00Speaker 3: crazy one. Do you have a question for Oprah over here?
- 54:03Speaker 2: Yes?
- 54:04Speaker 3: I do.
- 54:06Speaker 6: You said that memorizing lines were really difficult for you,
- 54:11Speaker 6: so I'm wondering when you had to do the episode
- 54:14Speaker 6: where you were speaking in Spanish, how did.
- 54:17Speaker 1: That go for you. I don't remember, to be honest
- 54:20Speaker 1: with you, but I imagine I Judy was hanging out
- 54:24Speaker 1: around the set to make sure I said my lines correctly.
- 54:27Speaker 1: If I remember correct I remember. I believe that was
- 54:32Speaker 1: the case. But I didn't have to speak a lot
- 54:34Speaker 1: of Spanish. I had to speak very little Spanish. I
- 54:35Speaker 1: think Turk spoke poor Spanish. As a matter of fact,
- 54:38Speaker 1: didn't he or learning it? So he could talk to
- 54:43Speaker 1: Carla's brother who spoke Spanish and he kept messing up anyway.
- 54:47Speaker 3: Oh, I forgot about your whole nemesis that was her brother.
- 54:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm gonna keep it one hundred with you, Jamie.
- 54:55Speaker 1: I I'm sure they fed me lines off camera, and
- 54:59Speaker 1: that's how I was able to do.
- 55:00Speaker 3: Donald's very good at mimicking Jamie, so he could, like
- 55:03Speaker 3: he can like mimic things really really well. So I'm
- 55:06Speaker 3: sure that someone was probably just saying it and he
- 55:08Speaker 3: was just like copying it.
- 55:10Speaker 1: Yeah, if you can listen, if you can make if
- 55:12Speaker 1: it's going to make my performance better, I have no
- 55:14Speaker 1: problems with line readings, but if it's not going to
- 55:16Speaker 1: make my performance better, please don't do it.
- 55:19Speaker 3: Yeah, well, this wasn't wouldn't really be a line reading
- 55:21Speaker 3: if someone just saying repeat after me.
- 55:23Speaker 1: Sure if somebody was like saying like this, Kayota, is
- 55:26Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Okay, kayot I is you
- 55:30Speaker 1: know what I mean? That's a lot of reading that
- 55:31Speaker 1: was perfect said just like I said, good job.
- 55:35Speaker 3: What else?
- 55:35Speaker 1: Do you have another question? Do you have a question?
- 55:37Speaker 2: Yes, they do.
- 55:39Speaker 6: I'm wondering because when I would watch it back, I
- 55:44Speaker 6: swear my thinking was in your voice over. Yeah, I'm
- 55:48Speaker 6: wondering because you haven't really talked about the voiceover work,
- 55:51Speaker 6: So what was that process?
- 55:52Speaker 3: Like, that's a good question. No one has asked that.
- 55:55Speaker 1: Nobody's ever asked that.
- 55:56Speaker 3: By the way, Jamie, kudos to you, because after after
- 56:00Speaker 3: twenty years of being on the show, Donald, I pretty
- 56:02Speaker 3: much know the twenty questions we're gonna get asked, and
- 56:05Speaker 3: you have gone outside the box. No one has ever
- 56:09Speaker 3: asked me the voiceover process on set because we had
- 56:12Speaker 3: to time out. You know, a lot of times our
- 56:14Speaker 3: movement around there would be timed out for how long
- 56:18Speaker 3: my voiceover was. So in the rehearsal I would read
- 56:21Speaker 3: it just so everyone could get a sense of its
- 56:24Speaker 3: place in the scene. And then while we were doing
- 56:26Speaker 3: the scene, my stand in, whose name was Scott Rabbidou,
- 56:30Speaker 3: would would read it. So if we're in the middle
- 56:32Speaker 3: of a scene and you kind of you we all
- 56:34Speaker 3: had to pause for the voiceover, Scott Rabbitdoo would be
- 56:37Speaker 3: off camera reading the voiceover, and then at a certain
- 56:41Speaker 3: point in the week, I'd find a time to go down.
- 56:45Speaker 3: They built a sound booth studio into the hospital, and
- 56:51Speaker 3: I would go down into the sound booth and record
- 56:54Speaker 3: all my voiceovers for the episode, and I'd go into
- 56:56Speaker 3: the booth and I'd kind of read each one three
- 56:59Speaker 3: or four times, kind of trying different ways of doing it,
- 57:02Speaker 3: trying different speeds and doing them, and that would those
- 57:05Speaker 3: are what they'd use for editing. Then there were times
- 57:08Speaker 3: Bill would come, hey, will you come in here. I
- 57:09Speaker 3: want you to redo this one for this reason, or hey,
- 57:11Speaker 3: will you come into the edit room. I rewrote this one,
- 57:13Speaker 3: or hey, you got to do this one way faster,
- 57:14Speaker 3: and we'd tweak it as we went along, but just
- 57:16Speaker 3: so the editors had something to work with, I would
- 57:18Speaker 3: go in and kind of lay them all down, and
- 57:22Speaker 3: that's how it was done. Very subtle thing that probably
- 57:24Speaker 3: only sound engineers would notice is there was a different
- 57:26Speaker 3: microphone used for the boom mic that was recording the
- 57:29Speaker 3: actors on on set versus a sort of more voiceover
- 57:33Speaker 3: style microphone for the voiceovers. And they always added a
- 57:38Speaker 3: tiny bit of little reverb but tiny bit little echo
- 57:40Speaker 3: to the voiceovers, so that if it was ever unclear,
- 57:43Speaker 3: the audience in their head could distinguish between a voiceover
- 57:47Speaker 3: and JD really talking, which would only happen sometimes if
- 57:49Speaker 3: you were like if I was off camera, they'd be like, wait,
- 57:50Speaker 3: is JD saying that out loud? Or is that a voiceover?
- 57:52Speaker 3: So they added this little bit of effect onto the voiceover.
- 57:56Speaker 3: If that not everyone notices.
- 57:59Speaker 1: That's great. Do you have another question? We'll give you
- 58:01Speaker 1: another one.
- 58:01Speaker 3: Yeah, that was such a good question, Jamie. Now you
- 58:03Speaker 3: really you really uh set the bar high.
- 58:07Speaker 6: I guess what is a scene that you can remember
- 58:11Speaker 6: that was just so funny?
- 58:13Speaker 2: You guys could barely get through it?
- 58:16Speaker 3: Oh singing guy, I love to each other. That when
- 58:22Speaker 3: when when he holds up his fist and I say,
- 58:25Speaker 3: you're the only man that's ever been inside of me.
- 58:29Speaker 1: And you grab my fist?
- 58:30Speaker 3: Yeah, And he goes, whoo, who boa I just took
- 58:33Speaker 3: out his appendix and clarify And he goes, no, no, no,
- 58:38Speaker 3: you go like this. You go oh no, oh no,
- 58:41Speaker 3: I feel like we should clarify. There's no need to clarify.
- 58:46Speaker 1: Oh no, just let it grow more and more each day.
- 58:52Speaker 3: It's like I married my best friend, but.
- 58:55Speaker 1: In a totally man louis Let's go.
- 58:59Speaker 3: I love. What I love about the Let's go is
- 59:01Speaker 3: the let's go was let's go to the end of
- 59:04Speaker 3: the bed and sing.
- 59:05Speaker 2: So let's go.
- 59:07Speaker 3: Let's go guy, Let's go to the Let's walk two
- 59:10Speaker 3: feet to the right and sing the rest of this song.
- 59:12Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 59:14Speaker 1: It's anyway, guy love, compromise the feeling of some other guy,
- 59:22Speaker 1: guy holding up your heart into the guy anyway there
- 59:29Speaker 1: to share through all the lows. I'll be there to
- 59:33Speaker 1: share the high.
- 59:35Speaker 3: Do your dear Michael Jackson thing. And when I say
- 59:43Speaker 3: I love you Turk, it's not what it employs.
- 59:49Speaker 1: It's guy love between.
- 59:53Speaker 3: Guy That sounds like Fantom of the Opera. But anyway,
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: look at that, Jamie, you got us to sing guy love.
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: I wish I could send you ga, but Joel already
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: gave it away. They only get We only get one
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: palette of month to give away, Joe. We're going to
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: need more gifts to give to people because you've gotten
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: me on this. You know, on real radio shows.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: You're in a giving mood right now, dude.
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: Well listen. You know on a real radio show, they're
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: always giving away ship. I got two tickets to see
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: Steely Dan whatever it is like, I really want to leave.
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: It was the first game in my mind. I want
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: to give shit away.
- 1:00:36Speaker 7: Babyface live at the Palladium.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: Doing all that I'll buy your clothes.
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: Is that a baby Face song?
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: I'll pay your rent. I'll make your dinner for you
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: as soon as I get home from work out.
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: That's the song I'll pay your rent.
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: Dude. Baby Face could write songs about anything. He wrote
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: a song called Shoop and the whole song.
- 1:01:04Speaker 9: Is shoot Shoop Shoot Shoot Shoo Babo, Shoot Shoot shoe baboo,
- 1:01:13Speaker 9: Shoot shoot chew babo.
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: My no, all you got to do is shoot shoot shoot,
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: And people.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: Like this was the number one hit was number one.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: It was one of Whitney Houston's biggest hits.
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: Wait, didn't we go to Babyface's house once?
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: Yeah? Remember, yes, that's right.
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: And I remember the.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: Halloween party at the freaking what you might call it
