- 0:00Speaker 1: Much more Mark. Mark Simone. On 710WOR. Thank you, Shadow Stevens.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Let's take some calls. 800-321-0710. Let's go to Mike in Connecticut. Mike,
- 0:15Speaker 1: how you doing? Let me try it again. Mike, are
- 0:20Speaker 1: you there? I got him again. Mike from Connecticut. No,
- 0:28Speaker 1: we lost him. Let's go to John in Ronkonkoma. John,
- 0:32Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 0:34Speaker 2: Doing good, Mark. How you doing?
- 0:35Speaker 1: I'm good.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Hey, so what are your thoughts on what are the
- 0:41Speaker 2: chances that Jack Smith actually gets, you know, gets charged?
- 0:49Speaker 1: Well, everything he did was unethical, immoral, disgusting, creepy, partisan.
- 0:54Speaker 1: But there's a question as to whether anything was actually
- 0:57Speaker 1: illegal or He is getting sued right now. One of
- 1:03Speaker 1: the disgusting things he did was he investigated everybody in Congress, senators,
- 1:08Speaker 1: congressmen and women. He got their phone records, their texts,
- 1:11Speaker 1: their emails. There was no reason to do this. He
- 1:14Speaker 1: had no authority to do this. But he did it.
- 1:17Speaker 1: And Senator Marsha Blackburn is the first to sue him.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Hopefully others will file lawsuits against him. Hopefully he'll spend
- 1:24Speaker 1: the rest of his life in court. getting sued, but
- 1:28Speaker 1: he's a creepy, weirdo, bug-eyed, disgusting, dirty cop. Hopefully they will.
- 1:34Speaker 1: I don't know if they'll be able to prosecute him,
- 1:36Speaker 1: but hopefully they'll be suing him for the rest of
- 1:38Speaker 1: his life. Let's go to Tom in Queens. Tom, how
- 1:41Speaker 1: you doing?
- 1:43Speaker 2: Good morning, Mark. So Ringo Starr is playing at Forest
- 1:47Speaker 2: Hills tonight, first time since 1964. Just wondering if you
- 1:53Speaker 2: ever had a chance to interview him or talk to him.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Yeah, a bunch of times. He's a very nice guy.
- 1:58Speaker 1: He's kind of a goofy, you know, I mean that
- 2:02Speaker 1: in a nice way. He's kind of a goofy, fun
- 2:03Speaker 1: sort of a guy. You know, Lennon was very serious.
- 2:07Speaker 1: McCartney is a little mixture of both. George Harrison was,
- 2:12Speaker 1: he was kind of shy, George Harrison, but smart guy.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Are you going to go see Ringo tonight? Yeah.
- 2:19Speaker 2: The weather's supposed to be nice.
- 2:20Speaker 1: It's outside for us. So it should be a good night. Yeah,
- 2:25Speaker 1: all right. Well, have fun tonight. You know, you go
- 2:26Speaker 1: to a McCartney concert, it's incredible. McCartney will do two hours.
- 2:30Speaker 1: And if you wanted to relive the Beatles music, it's
- 2:33Speaker 1: McCartney that can kind of really do that for you.
- 2:36Speaker 1: With Ringo, it's a little different. How many records featured
- 2:39Speaker 1: the voice of Ringo Starr? A handful. But it's still Ringo.
- 2:45Speaker 1: McCartney in incredible shape. You know, Ringo looking a little older.
- 2:50Speaker 1: McCartney looks like, hey, he looks older, but he's pretty.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I've never seen a guy like him do He'll do
- 2:55Speaker 1: a two-hour concert and never take a sip of water
- 2:58Speaker 1: the whole time. It's unbelievable. Let's go to Mike in St. James. Mike,
- 3:02Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 3:04Speaker 2: Good, Mark. Thank you. Hey, when a general or admiral
- 3:07Speaker 2: gets fired, don't they actually move him rather than put
- 3:10Speaker 2: him out on the street?
- 3:12Speaker 1: What do you mean?
- 3:13Speaker 2: They move him to a different position, right?
- 3:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess they take his general ship away and
- 3:20Speaker 1: they move him to something else. But it's kind of
- 3:22Speaker 1: the sign to get the hell out of there. Now,
- 3:24Speaker 1: usually when you're a general and you leave the Pentagon,
- 3:26Speaker 1: you then make millions and millions and millions working for
- 3:31Speaker 1: defense contractors. Of course, if you just got fired and
- 3:35Speaker 1: they know that this administration can't stand you, but they
- 3:39Speaker 1: know there'll be another administration in two years and they'll
- 3:42Speaker 1: put you on the payroll. You can get a lot
- 3:43Speaker 1: of money as an ex-general. Let's go to Michael Danbury, Connecticut. Michael,
- 3:48Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 3:49Speaker 3: Good morning, Mark. How are you?
- 3:51Speaker 1: Good.
- 3:51Speaker 3: I just wanted to touch on the tie-in. This Clancy trial,
- 3:56Speaker 3: it seems to be that they want people to look
- 3:59Speaker 3: at it from her point of view, that she's had
- 4:01Speaker 3: problems and you have to understand all that. So in
- 4:04Speaker 3: keeping with that, I wanted to get your take on
- 4:06Speaker 3: these two Chris Hansen movies that have come out where
- 4:10Speaker 3: it almost seems they're portraying him like he's completely out
- 4:13Speaker 3: of his mind and the things that he did.
- 4:16Speaker 2: To these perverts.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:18Speaker 1: If I'm not wrong, he's already suing them, isn't he?
- 4:21Speaker 1: I think he is.
- 4:23Speaker 3: I believe so, yes.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Yeah. Documentaries are the cheapest, easiest thing to make, so
- 4:29Speaker 1: they're making documentaries about anything and everything. But there's one
- 4:33Speaker 1: about Dateline, Chris Hansen. I believe he's already suing them.
- 4:36Speaker 1: We'll look into that and report back to you tomorrow
- 4:38Speaker 1: on those lawsuits. And Dateline, remember, they catch the pervert,
- 4:42Speaker 1: and he's there waiting to meet the.
- 4:46Speaker 1: 15-year-old girl. All of a sudden, Chris Hansen walks out,
- 4:48Speaker 1: and then remember the guy would run out of the house,
- 4:51Speaker 1: and 42 cops would jump on him. It was a
- 4:53Speaker 1: big thing for years. Dateline on NBC. Let's go to
- 4:58Speaker 1: Jim in New Jersey. Jim, how you doing?
- 5:01Speaker 2: Good morning, Mark. How you been there, Mark? Good. Been
- 5:04Speaker 2: a while since we spoke, and gee, Mark, give me
- 5:08Speaker 2: a feeling on the Save America Act. I've been busy.
- 5:10Speaker 2: I haven't been able to listen too much, but I mean,
- 5:13Speaker 2: shame on him.
- 5:14Speaker 1: What do you mean you've been busy? What the hell
- 5:15Speaker 1: could you have been doing? How busy are you? Tell
- 5:18Speaker 1: us what you were so busy with.
- 5:20Speaker 2: My wife keeps me jumping around the house. Even in retirement, Mark,
- 5:25Speaker 2: there's absolutely not much rest at all.
- 5:28Speaker 1: So you were probably a big business guy. You were
- 5:31Speaker 1: probably a big executive, yelling at unions, standing up to everybody.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Now you go home and your wife has you taking
- 5:36Speaker 1: out the garbage and everything.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Actually, I was a union member, electrician union.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Tough union guy, big union boss. As soon as you
- 5:45Speaker 1: come home, the wife goes, take out the garbage.
- 5:48Speaker 2: What do I say? Yes, honey.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Why do you put up with it? That's the question.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Women run the world. But really, you know, I sit
- 5:59Speaker 2: back and I say, What's more important than the Save
- 6:02Speaker 2: America Act? I just think they're underestimating the Republican Party
- 6:06Speaker 2: that it's going to have an impact on the midterms.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Well, the Save America Act is a great thing. It'd
- 6:11Speaker 1: be honest voting, a proper voting procedure. But it will
- 6:16Speaker 1: not take effect for the midterms. It'll take a while
- 6:18Speaker 1: to implement it.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Mark, we got the House, the Senate, and probably the
- 6:21Speaker 2: greatest president we ever had. They can't get it through.
- 6:24Speaker 1: It's great. Except for your wife, everything's perfect. Except for
- 6:27Speaker 1: the wife yelling at you. Anyway, thanks for calling. When
- 6:30Speaker 1: we come back, we'll talk to the brilliant columnist Liz Peek.
- 6:34Speaker 1: She'll be with us next on 710WOR.
