- Chandler: Welcome back to Run After Cast, the college football podcast. I'm your Wednesday host Thursday. The day we record is not the day it comes out. I am your Thursday host, Chandler, and I'm here with Ryan. Ryan: Guys. Chandler: And Aaron. Aaron: L State. Chandler: And as usual, we're gonna do a prediction and pick episode. We're gonna slightly tweak how we're gonna have this format work this week. So what we're gonna do is we're gonna go through, we're gonna have them guess the lines and the over-unders like usual. But instead of guessing our scores, we're gonna s guess whether or not the over-under is gonna hit, and then just who we think is gonna win. And then we'll go into our explanation after that. But we're gonna we're gonna change our little format of guessing scores and we're gonna switch that with over-unders. So To get right into this, we got our Friday game Florida State at Louisville at six PM kicking off our slate. Ryan, what you got? Ryan: think they're gonna favor Louisville by like three. And I think the over-under is gonna be fifteen and a half. Aaron: I also think they're gonna favor Louisville. I have it at four point five with the over under at sixty point five. Chandler: It is Louisville by 3.5 in the over-under 59.5. I think this is a great Aaron: Wow. Okay, so Chandler: Friday night game. Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: You know, I think it's gonna be high scoring, so give me the over on the over under, but give me Florida State to cover. Aaron: right there with you. I'm going I'm taking the over and I'm taking Florida State. Chandler: Like it. Ryan: I was doing Louisville to win but Florida but Florida I was doing Louisville Aaron: Yeah d yeah, well Ryan: to win but Florida State to cover. Chandler: Huh. Okay. Aaron: so you think it's gonna be really close? Ryan: Yeah, yeah, I think it's too close. I I actu Aaron: Okay. Chandler: Like the I like the over on points. but I you know, I'm gonna ride with my guy Lincoln. I I I Ryan: I think Louisville's gonna win. Chandler: I give me Louisville to win the game. Aaron: Yeah, I I'm I'm in a different direction. I know I normally say don't pick FSU to win, because they don't, but they've been on a little bit of a tear. And I think I think maybe they're in the right spot right now. I think Louisville's gotten away with a few things, so maybe Florida State this weekend. Chandler: There you go. Ryan: See, but I'm kinda in the same boat. I actually don't think Florida State's like that bad. It's really fun to joke about and I think they've actually put up a lot of points in these last couple of games. But it's like SMU has a good offense, Alabama has a good offense, and they're kind of just getting outscored in a lot of these games. But I think if they can control Isaac Brown and Lincoln on the ground a little, that they should actually do pretty good. And I do feel like Louisville wins anyway somehow. I don't know what happened against NC State, but they've really looked pretty good other than that game. But yeah, I think it's gonna be high scoring and I think Louis Fo will win, but I it's gonna be close to give me four to city cover. Aaron: Yeah. And I now Chandler: I hate Aaron: for a Friday night game, I don't think we get much better than this. The C like no matter what happens, I do think it's gonna be a close game. Chandler: So we have another Friday night game. I mean, we're really throwing things all over the place. We have two Friday night games we're covering here. We have number twenty Iowa at Washington for our West Coast eight PM kick Friday night. So Aaron Aaron: I think this is another thriller. I guessed that I was gonna be favored by about two and a half, with the over-under being forty-six and a half. Ryan: Interesting. I put Washington being favored by three and forty-four and a half. Chandler: Washington is favored by three. Aaron: Really? Chandler: And the over-under is 41 and a half. Aaron: That's very low scoring. Chandler: So we have this being very low score. Ryan: Yeah, very good scoring. Chandler: Okay. So Aaron, what do you what do you think the over under is gonna hit? That's a tight line. Aaron: I'm taking over on this. I that it that's a low scoring game. I mean, you're talking sub twenty points. I'm going over with that. Ryan: Yeah. Aaron: and then I think I'm going over and I think I would covers. Ryan: Yeah, the over under is so low that I'm gonna take the over, but I think Washington wins and covers. Aaron: Interesting. Chandler: I agree. I think the overunder I I would go with the over. I think that that line is really low. And I do think Washington has a little bit more dynamic up on offense. But again, Iowa's defense, they don't people don't score a lot of points on them. So that's why the line's so low. But give me the over and give me Washington to win and cover. Aaron: Yeah, give me Iowa win this one. I think after seeing what they pulled on Ohio State wasn't enough to make traction against Ohio State, but they still played well. I think Iowa's been playing better. Washington still a little slippery, a little sloppy in some places. So I just think I was tightened up and their defense is rolling really well right now. So I I would see Iowa taking it in the end. Ryan: I like Washington. They were kind of my sleeper going into this year. But they Aaron: Mm-hmm. Ryan: haven't really looked great and they've kind of been letting me down a little bit. But they still put up fights like against like Minnesota and USC. But when you think of Washington, I think we still picture that kind of Pac 12 explosive Washington on offense, which I thought they kind of had with Damon Williams and the people around him. But I think that's still kind of true. It's just not as good as I anticipated. But the big thing Is Minnesota and USC both have pretty good offenses? And Washington hasn't really let them score a lot of points. They both kind of scored in the 25-27 range. And Iowa, yes, they have a good defense. However, I don't really think that they should be ranked as high as they are, but I still think they're good. And I think that Washington's offense will play like pretty okay, but Iowa just can really only run the ball and throw the little check downs to the running backs and tight ends when they slip out. So I think that they really can only score like seventeen points against like a normalish team, and that's not good enough to win a football game. So that's kinda why I'm thinking that even if they score seventeen and Washington beats them, it'll be over on the over under. But then also I think that Washington will just do a little better and take it. By more than three. Aaron: I think it's fair points. Yeah. Chandler: I don't hate it. I don't hate it at all. Okay, so now we have our eleven AM kick on Saturday. We have Texas Anim at number fourteen, Missouri. Ryan, what you got? Ryan: I think Missouri's gonna be favored by three, and I think the over-under is gonna be 50 and a half. Aaron: Got Missouri favor by four and a half and over under forty-nine point five. Chandler: It is Missouri by three and a half, and the over under is forty eight and a half. Ryan: Okay. Mm. You know? Give me the over and Missouri to win and cover. Aaron: I'm right there with ya. Over Missouri covers and wins. I c I I can't see it other ways. Chandler: Yeah, I'm I'm with ya on the on the over. And I'm with ya on Missouri winning. To me, like Texas AM has the tools, like Ryan said, this whole time we've been on the show. They have the Aaron: Mm. Chandler: receivers. Marcel Reed has the tools to do it. He just hasn't really done it. And at I feel like at some point it's gotta click. Some point it's gotta come together and they gotta have at least a couple games where things are in stride. I don't know if it's gonna be this game, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's this game, but I still have Missouri winning and the over hitting. Ryan: Missouri kind of shocked me last week. They looked like a complete and dominant team. And I don't Chandler: Yes. Ryan: think they've shown us that package so far this year, except we saw little flashes of in that Kansas game. But by last week, I mean they couldn't be stopped on offense. And they just bottled everything up, including Florida's explosive run game. And they usually have like a like a pretty good defense, And and they really show that they did last week. But Texas AM on the other hand really hasn't shown that they're dominant on defense, but I still think it's pretty good. But on offense, Marcel Reed just can't push the ball downfield. I think he can sometimes. He's just really inconsistent and he can run and throw the little short passes and screens and stuff. But then when he really's forced to throw the ball downfield, he either can't do it or he starts forcing the ball in and putting it in harm's way. And I think that some of that defense that we saw from Missouri last week is gonna show up. And if it does, they're just gonna dominate this game. So I think Missouri's just gonna win like a bunch. I d I don't think that's saying it's too good. Aaron: I'm there with you. I think this is a story of momentum behind teams. Right now, the momentum for Texas AM is downward. They have been struggling. And instead of improving each week, we're seeing more and more of that struggle. I think it's just kind of the pressure's getting to them. I think we're trying to get a team to force its way to be good. And we're just not seeing results from that. Missouri, on the other hand, has shown us glimpses all season. I mean, they took Mississippi State down to that final drive, and it still was a close game throughout the whole thing. We got to see I would say the full potential last week against Florida. I think they're going to show up with that against AM. I I don't know if AM has the answer here. It's going to come down to does Simmons continue that streak of looking spectacular this week again? Chandler: Yeah, he did look incredible against Florida. Ryan: Mm-hmm. Chandler: Okay, so now we have South Carolina at number sixteen, Florida, at the eleven forty five slot on Saturday. Aaron, where do you see this game going? Aaron: I have this favoring Florida at 10.5 with an overunder guess at 62.5. Ryan: I think they're gonna have Florida favored by thirteen and a half and the over under is fifty seven and a half. Chandler: Florida is favored by eleven and a half and the overunder is sixty and a half. Aaron: Okay. I would take the under on the points here. But I do have Florida covering. Ryan: Gimme the over and gimme Florida to win and cover. Chandler: Know how I feel about this this over under. I mean, 16.5 is a lot of points, but Florida has Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: shown, other than the Missouri game, that they can score a lot of points. And I don't doubt South Carolina to be able to score points. So I logically, I guess you take the over. That's a you know, maybe high 20s, low thirties game, both sides. But I think I gotta go under as well. and I think I think South Carolina covers, but Florida wins. Aaron: Yeah, I just When it comes to South Carolina, you know, I've made my opinion clear on this channel now. You've seen shorts at this point, if you followed the channel, that I I think there's a good team there in South Carolina. It's just not working. And I think that's another trajectory that's heading down right now. I don't think we have a lot of answers, to stop Florida from scoring, you know, with Stewart being out. I don't know if he's still going to be out. I believe there was a report that he was practicing this week, but I don't know if that means he's going to be eligible for play. but that's a lot of the defensive pressure that they have right now, and I just don't see it coming back enough to beat or hold back a Florida trying to make a case for the rest of their season. They got shook up last week. They got beat down. I don't think SummerL is going to leave it at that. I I have faith in him to say that he's going to rally that team to say we've got to prove it now. We don't have a choice. If we want to continue into the postseason, we have got to make every snap count. I think that happens. I just don't know if South Carolina's going to carry enough of the point scoring to take the over here for me. I think Florida's going to do their job and cover. Ryan: Florida's coming off such a rough week. And before the last week, I would have argued that they should have been ranked even higher, even though I don't really like them, simply because of their offense. And it just didn't seem like anyone could stop them to me. And I actually could not believe what I watched last week. Cause they stopped them. And I think they're gonna come out hot after that. And I really like Lenores and South Carolina, but as a team They just cannot play for like an entire game. Lenoros will put up great numbers. They can't stop on defense. It happens every week. And I think Florida wins here. I think they're gonna put up like forty or fifty points on South Carolina. And I think South Carolina will do good on offense, but it's never enough. They just always find ways to blow games. And it happens just about every time. So I'm kinda thinking that if they score a little and Florida does, that it'll be the over. But I also think Florida covers their own They're on line there. Chandler: Yeah, I just I think you can play the the team's gonna be angry card on both sides of the ball. But I think but I but Ryan: South Carolina's angry every week though, and loses every time. Chandler: what I was gonna say was I think Florida overall has a lot more season ahead of them because what I will say is there's gonna be a lot of ten and two teams probably that try to make a playoff case. And John Summerall knows that. And I think they're Back against the wall, angry team. They don't have another one to give. They don't want to leave it up to the committee to whether or not they're in or not. They want to make a playoff run, they have to win out. How hard that's gonna be? It's gonna be hard. But I think he's gonna have them primed and ready to go. I mean, you can't get throttled like that last week and just come out on your hands this week. I expect them to come out angry. Expect them to come out and put up a lot of points. So, I mean, they don't have another loss to give. And I think from that sole factor, I think they're gonna win the game. But yeah, I just I also Like Ryan said, I think South Carolina has the tools to put up points. And that's why I picked the over on the points. But I just I feel like they can keep it within eleven and a half. I just think they can't outscore Florida. Ryan: Damn, that's a good point. That's good. Chandler: Okay. Now we go to the Red River. I mean a great halfway point to the season every year. Aaron: yeah. Chandler: Fantastic to watch. And we have number one Texas going to Oklahoma at two thirty at Cotton Bowl Stadium. Ryan, what you got? Ryan: I think they're gonna have Texas favored here by twelve and a half and the over under at like forty four and a half. Aaron: I'm in a similar vein here. I've I guessed Texas at ten and a half with over under forty three point five. Chandler: Texas is favored by seven and a half. And the over under is 39 and a half. Aaron: Thirty-nine? Chandler: thirty nine and a half. Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: okay, okay, okay. you know that's really low. Aaron: Really low. Ryan: Gave me the over. And give me Texas to win and cover. Aaron: Yeah, give me the over and give me Texas to cover. That's crazy. Chandler: Give me the under. Aaron: okay. Yeah, you're gonna have to have a reason. Chandler: For no particular reason. Other than I other than I want to go against you guys, but I do think both these teams have doubt defenses, and I think this game means more to both teams than just an average scheduled game. So I think both defenses are gonna play chippy, they're gonna play aggressive. It's at Oklahoma, and I think Texas's offense on the road is a little sputtery. I think it could it's probably gonna go over, but I'm gonna stick with my under. And give me Oklahoma to cover as well, but Texas to win. Ryan: Well, Chandler, it does mean more now because they are both in the SEC. But I like this the old little red river rivalry, you know? And it's unfortunate Chandler: Say that ten times fast. Ryan: it I actually can't I almost didn't say it for right once. Chandler: Ha ha ha Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: it's unfortunate though that this isn't gonna be a competitive game this year. I like it when it is, because Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: we get a rivalry game mid season, and what's better than that? But if you look at how low that over under is It's because Oklahoma's offense sucks that bad. And Arch hasn't really been playing that great. But like, Texas can run the ball. And Arch kinda always finds his little check downs and he'll maybe like get a little more fired up this week and try to do something more. But I think that he could be good and he has the potential to actually come out and do good, even though like we didn't see it against like Tennessee or the first half at Ohio State. But John Mateer can't come out and be good. Because him and the Oklahoma's offense are Are actually the worst offense I've ever seen. And I know I say stuff like that a lot, but I really mean it this time. So I think Texas gonna win and I think Oklahoma might score one touchdown, maybe like ten points. Maybe ten points. Chandler: Or maybe ten of Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: Cause even the bad teams scrap around. Get a couple points here and there, but Texas is just gonna like hand it to So that's why I think the over I mean, if they put up thirty, you know, gonna go over. Chandler: That is how that would work. Aaron: I Yeah, even though when we get Arch that's traveling, even if this is a neutral site in Texas, so Not that far off as Auburn fans were very quick to remind me early in this season that if it's nearby, it's still fine. but no, we we don't get the best out of Arch if he is not at home. But even then, Oklahoma's just in this position this season that I just don't see a comeback for them. they're they're in a rough place. Mateir, Chandler: I they lost to Michigan. Aaron: yeah, and you can't do that this Ryan: that's embarrassing. Aaron: season. but it's I I just don't see Mateer recovering. We do know that he has sparks of being a really good quarterback, but w he might be in his head. Something's going on and we're off. And I think Texas defense has been spectacular. I think that's gonna rattle Matir early on. Arch is probably gonna have a few early options. That is gonna absolutely just open the game up. And I I've I think they're just gonna score heavily in the second half of this game. So I I just can't see Texas losing it. Ryan: Colin Simmons, two sacks with forced fumbles. Aaron: I can see it. Chandler: Okay, now we go to an interesting one because UCLA is the twenty one ranked team in the country right now. And they put up some numbers. And I'm curious to see how they play against Oregon. Number twenty one UCLA at number thirteen Oregon. Aaron, take us away. I had something I was gonna say, then I forgot it. Aaron: So I have this in Oregon's favor, guessing it's about ten and a half with the over under being fifty six point five. Ryan: I was similar here. I think they're gonna pick Oregon by ten and a half and like fifty eight and a half for the over under. Chandler: Oregon eleven and a half and fifty eight and a half over under. Aaron: Okay. Well, that's pretty much what we were thinking. in that case, give me the over and give me organ covering. Ryan: Yeah, I think Oregon's gonna win in cover, but yeah, I think UCLA's gonna score a lot of points. So give me the over on the over under. Chandler: Give me the under. And No, I mean I see this in like a Aaron: He's just being difficult this week. Chandler: like a 20s game, like a 28-24. So that would cover. I mean that would go under. Aaron: Fair enough. Chandler: I don't I don't see it like I don't know. I don't think UCLA's gonna be able put up the numbers they're gonna they they have this season against Oregon. And Ryan: Well who do you think's gonna win? Chandler: What was that? Ryan: You hear that? My phone's buzzing. Aaron: Yep. We're gonna hold for hurricane warning. there's mine. Yeah, I don't care if I die. I'm recording a podcast. Chandler: So give me the under on the points and give me Oregon to win. Aaron: Yeah. This is how dedicated we are to football. We got hurricanes blaring. Ryan: I might be dying. I'm not checking my phone. Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: Just we're in the window. Aaron: Yeah, we we got w this is Florida, baby. We don't respond to a hurricane until twelve hours before it hits. Chandler: Okay. Ryan: I'm just scared a gator might show up in my living room or something. Wash up. Aaron: It'll be in my neighborhood, I'm sure. Chandler: You know, speaking of hurricanes, I watched a movie recently that was very poorly made. But it was about a city in I think South Carolina that a hurricane came through, it flooded the whole place, and like some kind of barricade wall, like seawall broke and like a bunch of sharks got into the city and were like swimming around in the streets. And it was like somebody was like in their house, like taking shelter and then all of a sudden a shark swam through the front door. Craziest movie I've I've I've seen in a in a while. You know again, it was very poorly made. But the whole premise was like the city's just flooded and there's a bunch of sharks in everybody's houses. Aaron: What if sharks showed up to your door? Ryan: That's hilarious. That's hilarious. Chandler: Yeah, so Aaron: You know, I as a i since we're on a brief aside, sorry, sorry, Ryan and your editing ability. Chandler: We're in a digression. Aaron: Last time we had a hurricane, we had crocodiles in my neighborhood's streets because our streets flood. well houses are up enough that it doesn't matter, but it's like, how did I deal with that horror movie scenario? I didn't go swimming out in the streets with the alligator. He can't turn my door handle. He's fine. He can Chandler: Ha ha. Aaron: live out there. he lives out there all the time. So I think sharks I'm even in a better position with. Chandler: They could swim through your door though, you know? Ryan: They eat up those cages, Aaron: I don't think so. I got a thick door. Ryan: you know, and people go diving. Chandler: Yeah, and that's steel, you know, reinforced steel. You think your little wooden Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: door's gonna hold up against a shark? Uh-uh. Aaron: I'll take my doors over any day. He's gonna hang in there. Chandler: Over under six hits. Ryan: You know, we're gonna try Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: this. Oklahoma drills between Shark and Aaron's door. Aaron: In the in my door. Chandler: Ha ha ha. Aaron: It survived two toddlers and a teenager. It'll survive a shark. Chandler: Yeah, so slight background. We're in the panhandle, Florida, and there's a hurricane coming and we're recording this podcast and that's why we're on the digression of hurricanes. So back to back to the normal Aaron: 'Cause we're Florida people. Yeah. Chandler: show. Ryan: If we don't post on Monday, it's 'cause we're dead or something. Chandler: We're dead. The sharks got through Aaron's Aaron: We're gone. Chandler: door. Aaron: Yeah. Chandler: Okay, so now we go to the game that I'm sad I'm gonna have to miss because of said hurricane. the Ryan: Wait no no no we didn't get to talk about UCLA. Aaron: Yeah, we didn't we didn't get to the explanation portion because our hurricane interruption, Chandler: Okay, go. Explanation. Ryan: Sorry, don't don't cut Aaron off from Aaron: it's fair. Ryan: his explanation. Aaron: Yeah, I I think seeing f Oregon last week, to me, that's the organ I wanted to see this whole season. Like the reason I've been hard on Oregon from the get-go is because I was afraid they weren't gonna show the potential like they haven't in a few years. This is firing. Like this last week's second half was fantastic. And I think they're gonna continue that. I think now that we've seen it. They have stuff to review. They had stuff to work on. I think it's going to be tighter. I think UCLA is going to put up a good game. That's why I say the over. I think both of these offenses are going to be going. I don't know if defensively we're going to see a lot of major stops, but I and I'm not I not think we're going to see a lot of mistakes this week. I think it's just going to be running the ball down for points, whether it's three or seven. I think a lot of drives ended in points this week. Chandler: You know, jot that down Aaron is hard on Oregon. Over to you, Ryan. Ryan: UCLA has been absolutely whooping teams, but they've literally played nobody so far. So this is gonna be the first real tester. Unfortunately, as much as I don't like Oregon, I think that as long as Dylan Rayola is playing, they are a serious playoff team. And I think that they will beat UCLA, but UCLA will put up a little bit of offense. Because the only my only gripe still is that Oregon's defense could be a little more physical. Mainly in the trenches. But other than that, I think Oregon Oregon kinda dominates this game. And I think they both kinda put up a lot of points. 'cause UCLA can still do it. It's just not gonna be as much against the real team. So I'm going over on the over under, but I like Oregon to win and cover, like I said before. Chandler: I like it. And yeah, I think under on the points and I think Oregon wins and they cover. They put a lid on it. Ryan: Dylan Riola is putting a lid on Jaylor's head. Chandler: So now we move over to my put a lit on it game of the week. And I'm cheating because it's Ohio State. but I'm un I'm unfortunately not gonna be able to be boots on the ground like I was I was anticipating to be. Because like we said, the hurricane's coming through and the planes got grounded and I can't fly out. So Aaron: Okay. Ryan: He could drive, he doesn't want it bad enough. You don't have to touch it. Mine's stopped. there you go. Good job. Chandler: Thanks, Ben. That's like perfect Q too. That like Hurricane Siren Aaron: yeah. Chandler: came on. but yeah, so I'm not gonna be able to go. But I do think Ohio State will win this game. And I will tell tell you why later. But Whoever's turn it is, you go first. Aaron: Ha ha ha. Ryan: Okay, well I was supposed to guess the line. I think they're gonna say Ohio State wins by thirty and a half, and I think the over-under is gonna be fifty-six and a half. Aaron: Yeah, I've got Ohio State favored twenty seven and a half, guessing it's gonna be somewhere around fifty-nine and a half. Chandler: Ohio State is saved by 34 and a half. Aaron: boy. Chandler: And the over under is 56.5. Aaron: That's that's rough. That's really rough. Chandler: Mm-hmm. Ryan: Give me Ohio State to win in cover and give me the over on the over under. Aaron: Yeah, I can't see a world that it is in Ohio State with the over and over on points. That's that's insane. I mean it it's crazy that Vegas has that little faith in Maryland, but I don't know I disagree with them right now. Chandler: They have Maryland scoring some points though. They're points. Aaron: That's like twelve points. Chandler: That's some points. Aaron: That's some points. Ryan: Well, Chamber, do you agree with the line? Chandler: So I think the over under is gonna hit. And this game's gonna be interesting. Devin McHugh and Brandon Dennis are not playing. So Aaron: really? Chandler: there's gonna be a lot of youngsters coming in that are gonna have to step up and, you know, get the some good, meaningful snaps. Plus Kyle Parker's coming back. And this will be his first real game he's healthy playing. So I think there's gonna be a lot of new pieces and a lot of A lot more chances on offense for them to get going and get more chemistry built with those guys. I think Jeremiah's gonna have his game still, but I think he's probably gonna be sitting by halftime or somewhere in the third quarter. So I think Julian will have plenty of time to get plenty of reps with some of the younger guys that'll get a lot more of a chance to play this week. So with that being said, I will still take Ohio State to cover, even though it's a lot of points. And I will take the over on the line. I'm not gonna say they're not gonna cover because I'm a homer. So Aaron: Mm-hmm. Chandler: give me them covering. Putting a lid on it. Button that thing up tight. Ryan: I like it. Chandler: Like the hurricane shutters. Ryan: I like it. We're ambitious betters. I Chandler: Exactly. Ryan: think this is a cakewalk. I think Ohio State's the best team in the country. And even though Arthur Smith just kind of messes around on his play calling when he calls these kind of games, I think you're still just gonna score a ton of points. So I think you're gonna win. I think you're gonna cover. on the overunder, I think you go over because I think you're still gonna pop like fifty points or something. And Maryland's kind of a normal team, so they'll scrap together a couple points here and there. And give me Jeremia Smith a hundred and seventy receiving yards, Julian Sane for to rush for four times for twenty one yards and a Brockboy touchdown. Chandler: You know I like all that. I like it a whole lot. Aaron: I do too. I this is something where it's I I just don't see Maryland being able to put up the fight that they need to to make this close. I Chandler: Mm mm. Aaron: think Maryland's just in one of those unfortunate circumstances like some of the other teams we've talked about where the season has not gone their way at all. And now you're taking a weekend to go up see Jeremiah Smith. I mean, if if he plays after halftime. They're bonus snaps at that point. I and I think before halftime he's gonna be making a lot of plays that makes it look like he's playing N C double A on easy. Like he's just gonna be making a lot of runs to the end zone. Chandler: I like it. Okay. Now we have a game that could be relocated, a game that could go on, game that could get canceled. We don't know. But we do Aaron: Yep. Chandler: know what the line in the over under is, and we'll know that very quickly. So we have Georgia at Alabama. Number two, Georgia. At number six, Alabama and Brian Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa at six thirty. Aaron: So I would yeah, for now. For you know, it depends on how scared God is to have one less undefeated team in the SEC this weekend. But I think right now, if I were to make a guess, the line would be two point five favoring Georgia with an over-under of fifty-four point five. Ryan: See, I think that they favor Alabama by one, like really close, and over under fifty three and a half. Chandler: Alabama is favored. Aaron: Really? Chandler: And it's by more than one. It's one and a half. Aaron: So they see this as a very Ryan: Gotta add the halves. Aaron: close game. Chandler: And the over under is a fifty one and a half. Aaron: A defensive game in their eyes. Fair. Yeah, I I can't. I I'm surprised. I and I think that's good. I was actually gonna say if they favored Georgia, they were gonna be close that I think they would be undervaluing Alabama. I'm gonna take Alabama to cover this. And I'm gonna go over on the score. Ryan: Yeah, if it's this close, I think Alabama's gonna win. They'd have to cover. And I'm taking the over on the over under. Chandler: I agree. I think the point line is a little low. I think it's gonna be probably mid thirties to high twenties, maybe mid thirties to low thirties final score. So give me the over on points. And I got Alabama winning as well. I think Keelan Russell and his legs is gonna be the X Factor. Aaron: Yeah. And like this is no slander to Georgia. Like, Georgia has played consistent and great football all season. I just think Alabama's climbing right now. They're doing really well. And their game against us, they spanked us. And there were some sloppy points there. And I think that could be the determining factor of this game. If Alabama plays tight, Elon Russell's getting better with every game. I think they come out on top. If they get another sloppy couple fumbles on their side of the field, it's going George's way. But I do see both offenses putting up some points here. I th I see Keelon getting some plays through on his legs, on his arms. I think George is going to be scoring pretty consistently, like they always do. They continuously drive down the field whether you want them to or not. But Brian Denny is a hell of an atmosphere. They there is there is a pulse to that stadium too. So yeah. It's gonna be close either way, but right now my heart's telling me Alabama takes it. Ryan: I hope they both lose because it's like enemy 1A and enemy 1B as my me and my dad say. And you would Alabama's 1A, obviously, even though I said they think they win. But this is an interesting matchup here. Because I think Alabama has shown that they can't really be stopped on offense yet. Even though they've been really sloppy, they'll still like miss a couple plays and they'll still score like 45 points. But Georgia's defense is so good. That I actually do think Alabama's going to struggle running the ball a little more this week. Ever since that second half of that Kentucky game, this whole season, they've been able to run the ball again. But Georgia's front is just so good. But it's weird because Aaron: Yeah. Ryan: usually when Georgia plays these games, they do okay on offense, but then they get a couple big stops on defense. They get in really good field position and they go score. And Alabama since to win these in the regular season, though. I think if this was a playoff game or it was the SEC championship. Then it might go the other way. But I just see Alabama taking this and yeah, it's such a close score that I mean they'd be forced to cover if they win. Chandler: The last game of the weekend. We should have probably switched the order a little bit, so that's my fault as the host. because Alabama, Georgia's the game of the weekend by far. So tune into that wherever you are, Aaron: yeah, that's the game to watch. Chandler: wherever you are in the country, find that game and circle it. So Aaron: I'm gonna watch it with the shark that gets through my door. Chandler: So the final game of the weekend we will be looking at is USC versus Penn State. Take us away, whoever's up. Ryan: Is it me? Aaron: You know what? Chandler: Don't know. Aaron: Ryan? after you. Beauty for bore before age. Okay. Chandler: You know what, I'll start this one off. No no, I'll start this one off, don't worry guys. Ryan: Okay, thank you. No no, it's okay. You have the line no no no you have the lines You can't do this Okay, okay, Aaron: Ha ha ha ha ha. Ryan: okay, we gotta keep this fair. I'll go I'll go. Alright. I think they're gonna favor USC by one, and I think the over-under is gonna be fifty-five and a half. Aaron: I've got USC favored by 2.5 with an over under of 52 and a half as a guess. Chandler: Penn State is favored. Aaron: Okay. Okay. Chandler: By one and a half. And the overunder is fifty four and a half. Ryan: No offense. I don't understand Chandler: Here it comes boys, buckle up. Ryan: how Penn State's favored here. But give me USC to win this game and then give me the under on the over under. Chandler: Okay. Aaron: I agree with I I I am a little blown away that Penn State's favored. after last week, after the game with Northwestern. Northwestern looks great, don't get me wrong. But USC put up a fight against Oregon. A really good fight against Oregon. I think USC just comes out strong. I think USC is gonna absolutely cover and give me the over on the points. Ryan: Yeah, I think Penn State isn't very good. I think Chip Kelly kinda had his way with him last week. And he was like messing around. He was running the Wing T and stuff. And he was just kind of messing around. And he out schemed him, he outphysicled him with Northwestern. But I also just don't think that USC has been very good on defense. However, I think they went from being the worst defense ever to kind of being competent in the last couple of weeks. And on Penn State, I don't really like Rocco. Even though we're used to them running the ball a lot, we haven't really seen that this year either with James Peoples. He only has two hundred yards this entire season. So I think USC wins this game. I think they're gonna do better on offense. I don't know how in the world Penn State is favored. And you know, USC is gonna put up some points. So even if Penn State puts a little bit on them, it's gonna probably go over. Chandler: Well, I'm gonna tell you why Penn State's favored. it's a night game at Penn State. And I'm Ryan: Whoop de doo. Chandler: pretty sure it's the whiteout game. Yes. Aaron: Well it's their it's gonna be their whiteout game, right? Yeah, which is which is an energy. Chandler: So th they like have to put it as them being favored. But Ryan: Seems pushed. Chandler: Give me Ryan: That's tight. That's close. Chandler: Mm. Give me the under on points and give me USC to win and cover. Ryan: I like it. Aaron: Yeah. I I mean, I do think this is a half to win for Penn State if it's your whiteout game. You were gonna have a very upset fan base. And I'll be interested to see how many fans show up. I I think Penn State fans will sh be in the stadium. Chandler: It'll be sold out. Aaron: I th it'll be sold out. But I think people are losing a little bit of faith in Penn State this season. I think they feel the same way about USC, but to me, USC has to win this. Lincoln Riley has to win. has to win this game. He cannot afford to lose here. And I Chandler: Mm mm. Aaron: think everybody showing up at Penn State Stadium knows that. Chandler: Okay, well that wraps up our prediction and pick'em episode for week six. I cannot believe that we are almost halfway through the regular season. I feel like we just started this. It's been flying by. Aaron: I know. I know. Ryan: It's kinda sad to think Chandler: But Ryan: about. I just wanna cherish football, you know? And I don't even have a game this week. I'm gonna die in a hurricane. Daring tea not to Chandler: Exactly. So you're guaranteed to win. Guaranteed to win. It's good. Congrats. Aaron: Either. I don't either. Yeah. Ryan: lose. Aaron: No, you know what? They were taking care Chandler: It's true. Aaron: of me. They know I'm gonna sit here without power, just in my own humid sweat. And they were like, at least Chandler: True, it's a good weekend to have a bye week. Aaron: I'm not missing Mississippi State playing football. Chandler: So as always, thank you guys for all the positive feedback from the short form content, our full episode, our prediction and pick'em style for this this Thursday release. We appreciate everything. And wherever you get your podcast, wherever you like to listen to it, give us a review. And only if it's five stars. It's anything less, don't give us a review. And Aaron: Yeah. Leave us a review and suggest a name for my new pet shark. Chandler: And if it is below five stars, just pick another podcast and give them four stars. And then give us five stars. But That's all I have. Aaron, anything else? Aaron: Yeah, go listen to me on Fax It Men as well. You leave that show five stars. you know. Chandler: No, give them four point nine. Keep humble. Aaron: No, that's what we're rated at because somebody left us a three star review like four years ago. Chandler: Well, I'm we're looking forward to it. It's gonna be a great weekend of football as always. We're excited to see you guys again on the Monday episode. So if you're around the hurricane area, yeah, Aaron: If we're still here.
