- 0:00Speaker 1: You're ahead of the game just for being here. Hey
- 0:04Speaker 1: smarts alone on sevent tenor.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Hey, we'll take some calls. Eight hundred three to two
- 0:12Speaker 2: one zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three
- 0:16Speaker 2: two one zero seven ten. Let's go to Stuart in
- 0:19Speaker 2: South Carolina. Stuart, how you doing?
- 0:22Speaker 1: Hey, Mark her are you you know? I just want
- 0:24Speaker 1: to clarify one thing. Many of these Border Patrol agents
- 0:28Speaker 1: and ICE agents, as I mentioned to you once before,
- 0:32Speaker 1: that many of these are hardened veteran cops. My son
- 0:36Speaker 1: just got a tententive offer from Border Patrol this morning.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Stuart, you're a longtime policeman, law enforcement guy.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Almost fifty years.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Yeah, my son. Between my son and myself we have
- 0:48Speaker 1: over sixty years. He worked inner city, has been a
- 0:52Speaker 1: fatal shooting. He knows, you know, what's going on in
- 0:56Speaker 1: inner cities. And a lot of these Border Patrol agents
- 0:59Speaker 1: are a lot like him. They are hiring from hardened
- 1:03Speaker 1: veteran police officers. So it's not like, you know, they've
- 1:06Speaker 1: been in boarder patrol of their entire lives and don't
- 1:09Speaker 1: know how to deal with But Stuart.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Let me let me ask you a question. The shooting.
- 1:13Speaker 2: I can understand how that happens. The guy shouldn't have
- 1:15Speaker 2: been there with I just I'm looking at that shooting.
- 1:19Speaker 2: It doesn't look justified to me.
- 1:21Speaker 1: You know, my son and I had a conversation about
- 1:24Speaker 1: this this morning, and I wasn't there. So my response
- 1:28Speaker 1: is tentative. I would tend to agree with you. You know,
- 1:33Speaker 1: the guy what had gotten a broken rib a week
- 1:35Speaker 1: before fighting police, so you know, you know what his
- 1:39Speaker 1: mindset was, and I wasn't there. You know, you can
- 1:42Speaker 1: look at the videos, you can have an opinion, but
- 1:45Speaker 1: I just wasn't there. And as a police officer, I
- 1:48Speaker 1: have to have all the facts, and I just don't
- 1:49Speaker 1: have them.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Okay, but the rene good one. I've talked to like
- 1:54Speaker 2: some of our smartest police officials, and they've all said,
- 1:57Speaker 2: off the record, it's a totally leag justified shooting. But
- 2:02Speaker 2: he didn't have to shoot. He could have, yeah, you know,
- 2:05Speaker 2: could blocks away and then get her.
- 2:07Speaker 1: But you know, when it comes to the actual shooting
- 2:11Speaker 1: in the facts, that's one thing, But you have to
- 2:12Speaker 1: also remember these guys are under assault every single day.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I'm a Vietnam vet, and I'm going to tell you
- 2:19Speaker 1: every single day when you're under fire. It really gets
- 2:22Speaker 1: to you mentally. Yeah, it really doesn't. And these guys
- 2:25Speaker 1: every single day, Mark are under fire.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Yeah he doesn't, he's not there to shoot somebody. But
- 2:31Speaker 2: you can get into a kind of a panic no
- 2:33Speaker 2: matter what in those situations.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not a panic, it's just you know, you're
- 2:37Speaker 1: just tired. I mean, you're just so tired every day.
- 2:40Speaker 1: And like you said, the Minneapolis police have been called back.
- 2:45Speaker 1: They're being held back. It's not that the the street officers,
- 2:50Speaker 1: you know, don't want to help. They do, but the
- 2:52Speaker 1: administration has been so bastardized by the politicians that they
- 2:56Speaker 1: just don't they're not doing anything. And that's that's creating
- 3:00Speaker 1: a lot of this problem because you have that secondary
- 3:02Speaker 1: backup to protect the ice agent's and border patrol, and
- 3:06Speaker 1: it's just not there.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Well, a lot of people believe the police were deliberately
- 3:09Speaker 2: held back with the strategy. Well, no, with strategy, with
- 3:12Speaker 2: strategy knowing that it would cause this kind of chaos.
- 3:15Speaker 2: All right, Stuart, great call, thanks for calling. Let's go
- 3:18Speaker 2: to uh Shana in Long Island. Shana, how you doing.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Good morning, Mark. I have a question about this Ashley
- 3:26Speaker 3: Babbit shooting. Yes, the Trump administration has been in office
- 3:31Speaker 3: now a year. Why aren't they prosecuting Michael Bird. They
- 3:35Speaker 3: have proof that he shot her without cause.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Uh well, I know they're looking at it, and people
- 3:42Speaker 2: have talked to him about it. But this Michael Bird
- 3:44Speaker 2: was the cop who, for no reason it all, shot
- 3:46Speaker 2: Ashley Babbitt. She wasn't confronting him. She was fifteen twenty
- 3:50Speaker 2: feet away. He just shot her as she was coming
- 3:51Speaker 2: through the window. He's a bad cop. He's got a
- 3:54Speaker 2: history of using his gun recklessly. There was an earlier
- 3:57Speaker 2: incident where in his house he was just firing out
- 3:59Speaker 2: the window at cars. He's got a bad history. I
- 4:02Speaker 2: know they're looking at him and everybody's getting impatient, but
- 4:05Speaker 2: it's it's it's a good question. It's just not front
- 4:08Speaker 2: burner stuff. I think that's the problem. Let's go to
- 4:10Speaker 2: Bill in Pennsylvania. Bill, how you doing?
- 4:14Speaker 4: How are you doing? Mark?
- 4:16Speaker 2: I just got a question here about what is your
- 4:20Speaker 2: excuse for Errol Lewis on New York One.
- 4:23Speaker 1: He's a pain in the.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Eron Lewis on New York One, he's the most left
- 4:27Speaker 2: wing biased partisan. He's a very nice guy in real life.
- 4:30Speaker 2: I used to work with him. He's a very nice guy.
- 4:33Speaker 2: But a lot of that's a lot of these people.
- 4:35Speaker 2: They're very nice people. They go on the air and
- 4:36Speaker 2: they become crazy left wing.
- 4:38Speaker 4: I talk to him in the pad, but you know.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Hey, what are you gonna do. He's a crazy left
- 4:44Speaker 2: wing guy. He's very partisan. I mean, you should try
- 4:47Speaker 2: to get it under control on the air, but he doesn't.
- 4:50Speaker 4: Him all over the place.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Yeah, but I remember it's he's.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Coming down from Mount ever mount air raft.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Well, that's what he believes. He's a nice guy, is
- 5:00Speaker 2: a little crazy politically, and he's very very left wing.
- 5:03Speaker 2: But that's New York One nowadays. They went really far
- 5:06Speaker 2: to the left as soon as Trump came in. I
- 5:08Speaker 2: used to work at New York One. But when they
- 5:10Speaker 2: went when Trump came in, they decided to go real
- 5:13Speaker 2: far to the left. It hasn't paid off. Viewership is
- 5:17Speaker 2: way way down there. Let's go to Jerry in Greenwich. Jerry,
- 5:20Speaker 2: how you.
- 5:21Speaker 4: Doing very well? Thank you Mark for taking my call.
- 5:26Speaker 4: Just all these demo grays, whether they're a politician or
- 5:30Speaker 4: regular people that they hit America, they started saying that
- 5:33Speaker 4: they're sorry that they're voted for Trump. I mean, it's ridiculous.
- 5:38Speaker 4: You know, they want to start the new lying.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Yep, do we lose Jerry?
- 5:46Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 5:46Speaker 2: Oh okay, all right, thanks Jerry. Let's go to Chris
- 5:50Speaker 2: and Beth Page again. Chris, how you doing?
- 5:53Speaker 4: Hey, Mark good, I'm sorry, I just tuned in.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Did you talk about that elon Omar thing that happened
- 5:58Speaker 1: last night?
- 5:59Speaker 2: That was no, we didn't get to that yet. It's
- 6:01Speaker 2: a two hour show. We don't do everything at the
- 6:03Speaker 2: first segment. Give me a chance to get to it.
- 6:07Speaker 2: She's under investigation. Now, we'll get to it in the
- 6:09Speaker 2: next hour. It's a great story. They're really going to
- 6:13Speaker 2: take a look at her. She comes to this country
- 6:15Speaker 2: without a penny. She's totally broke. She gets elected to Congress.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Now that doesn't pay too much. It's a you know,
- 6:22Speaker 2: civil servant job, and she's suddenly worth forty four million dollars.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Now there's an investigation to see how the hell that happened.
- 6:31Speaker 2: And the press, well, we'll get to it in the
- 6:32Speaker 2: next hour. Even the President Trump wanting to take a
- 6:35Speaker 2: look at that. Hey, when we come back, the best
- 6:37Speaker 2: legal analyst in the world, and we'll talk to him
- 6:40Speaker 2: about Minnesota, about all of this. Greg Jarrett coming up
- 6:42Speaker 2: next on seven to ten wor
