- 0:56comment your thoughts on the different podcast that I've been put on Spotify. And
- 1:02thanks to speaker for allowing me to syndicate on Spotify. By the way,
- 1:07now I want to pick apart the letter from President Biden to this fellow Democrats
- 1:11that are calling for him to be stepping out of the race. Fellow Democrats,
- 1:21now that you have return from the July the fourth recess, I want
- 1:23you to know that despite all the speculation, the pres and elsewhere. I'm
- 1:27firmly committed to saying this race, to run this race to the end,
- 1:32and to beating Donald Trump. This is Biden's letter to the Democrats. Here's
- 1:42where I think the best part of this letter is. I know better than
- 1:46anyone the responsibility and the burden the nominee of our party carries. I carry
- 1:49it in twenty twenty one, when the fate of our nature was our state.
- 1:53I also know these concerns come from a place of real respect for my
- 1:57lifetime of public service and your record as present. Let me pick apart that
- 2:05your record as present. You mean the fact that Russia took advantage of your
- 2:10weakness to go into Ukraine and we don't know where the billions that we've said
- 2:15Ukraine is. Is that what you're proud of on your record? You mean
- 2:19the fact that you told Israel behind closed doors, knock it off, and
- 2:27you did not send weaponry to support Israel at the time when they need it
- 2:31most against the US. That record, the record of weakness that everybody got
- 2:40a wind of when you watched the Afghanistan withdrawal and kiss the lives of thirteen
- 2:50US holders. Is that the record, and I've said this on radio and
- 2:57elsewhere. I've said this that we can be proud that he has overcome two
- 3:02aneurysms and still been in public office for fifty years. But the obliviousness of
- 3:13this letter to his fellow Democrats, and then the fact that they are now
- 3:20saying he's been visited by, you know, a neurological doctor three times,
- 3:28three times, is alarming. I want to know, if he has to
- 3:38be seen by doctors, why he keeps being cleared. That's what I really
- 3:43want to know. Why he keeps being cleared to be present? I should
- 3:49say, so, I'll post the letter. I guess I mean it's I've
- 3:55been moved by the expressions of affection for me from so many many who have
- 4:00known me well and supported me over the course of my public life, grave
- 4:02over the rock, solid, stead fast forward from so many elected Democrats in
- 4:05Congress and all across the country, and taking great strength from the results I've
- 4:12seen from so many voters, resolving determination, and grassroots supporters. I respond
- 4:19to all this by saying, clearly, nonequivocally, I wouldn't be running again
- 4:25if I did not absolutely be I would be the best person to beat Donald
- 4:29Trump. I mean, here's the fact of life. In a way,
- 4:46him not caving is incredible, but at the same time, because he's not
- 4:57letting outsiders, you know, letting outside voices dictate what he wants to do.
- 5:01But at the same time, it's very dangerous that he wants to keep
- 5:04going. And I can a plug for surviving two aneurysms, but he has
- 5:13to know, and the White asses to know, and Joe Biden has to
- 5:16know. This isn't right if he has a neurological conditions, which he does,
- 5:28which he does, it's not right to keep him in the office with
- 5:35all these neurological situations continuing. I mean, they've even thrown the word in
- 5:41Parkinson's how freaking messed up is that? And you might say, George Stefanopolis
- 5:49calling for the president to step down his big news, But he is now
- 5:56a course of voices and it seems like no matter that that, like the
- 6:00Times or Morning Joe or anything like that, the President's not gonna listen.
- 6:04So good luck America as this guy wants to keep on, keep it on.
- 6:11And while we can applaud him for his fortitude, we can also really
- 6:15really look at this as it's dangerous for the President United States to be visited
- 6:21by neurophysicists or whatever you want to say, in the neurologic department and still
- 6:35serve for the country. That's a little alarming to me. And I don't
- 6:41know if that is for you or not, but it is for me.
- 6:46That being said, there is a big issue that he has not conquered at
- 6:54all, which is the immigration And I learned tonight and over my constant reading
- 7:01of emails. But the New York Post has an interesting reporting. According to
- 7:09Rich Calder and Georgia Warel, new York City's poorest zip codes forced to bear
- 7:19brunt of the immigration crisis. Now, I had figured when I saw that
- 7:26the Black Lives Matter moment was moving into the suburbs, away from the city
- 7:30and expanding, and and that was the riotous version of the Black Lives Matter
- 7:39movement, not the calm protesters that were there in the afternoons. And and
- 7:45then at night the writer took over. Anyway, I figured, of course,
- 7:49the immigration crisis was in our neighborhoods, our suburbs, our kids' lives.
- 8:00And now we realize that, according to this article, the poor zip
- 8:11codes adversity are being forced to bear the greatest brunt. Long Island City is
- 8:16home to a stagger twenty three government runs shelters, twelve percent of the one
- 8:22hundred and ninety three operating in New York City. This was according to the
- 8:28data of a confidential list of shelter sites used by city agencies. So while
- 8:37Staten Island got a lot of coverage for their fighting back, Queen's quietly became
- 8:52the epicenter. We thought the Roosevelt Hotel, we thought all the conversion of
- 9:00hotels to migrant shelters. But no, no, no, that was just
- 9:05a piece of it. They actually made twenty three government run migrant shelters in
- 9:13Long Island City. So good on Queen's District Attorney Melinda Cats were holding the
- 9:22man who raped a thirteen year old girl and abused the boy that was with
- 9:31her, too. Good for holding him accountable and for there being you know,
- 9:43no bail set I mean nothing, you can get him out. Good
- 9:50for the da Cats to make sure that happened, because hell if the city's
- 9:54not gonna help. And I've loved the fact that Eric Adams has called out
- 10:00President Biden on this. I've loved that he's called for federal support for the
- 10:05city, but even he can't contain this crisis. And if the city can't,
- 10:13then yes, it's up to the district attorneys of each of these boroughs
- 10:18to take control. And I'm reporting this because we gotta hold not only the
- 10:24Biden administration accountable for this. I think we hold Great Gabbitt accountable for forcing
- 10:30our hand with all of this. And then we got to call out the
- 10:35city for not properly managing the migrant crisis and just dumping them in the poor
- 10:46zip codes of our city. Three of the top five most shelter century zip
- 10:58codes are among the poorest areas, which means the incomes are below thirty seven
- 11:03thousand, three hundred dollars, and that's according to data comments as of June
- 11:11twenty sixth. The Post went into this deep dive, and I'm glad they
- 11:16did because we've got to hold hold the city accountable for this mess too.
- 11:26We've got a hold of the accountable, yes, Biden and then Abbot,
- 11:33but we could have easily done Martha's vineyarded and said bye bye onto the next
- 11:41city, move them up to Canada forgot six. But no, we feel
- 11:48like we have a responsibility to be the open arms for everybody, even if
- 11:54they are single, military aged men that don't look like they need a handout.
- 12:03They look like they're just ready to freaking cause havoc. Not every one
- 12:11of them, but there are I'm sure a lot like that rapist in Queens.
- 12:22So I'm I I I feel like this is a watergate kind of moment
- 12:26with this reporting because as a New York Post exclusive, Rich Calder and Georgia
- 12:31Orrell reporting on this thirty seven thousand dollars income neighborhoods bearing the brunt of this
- 12:39crisis, we could have easily easily put them back on the buses and said
- 12:46you're not we're not able to help you right now. And that would have
- 12:52been a really smart decision, wouldn't it. Let's see what else the sleuth
- 12:58r of these two and many others come up with. As the city while
- 13:05it has not seen an incredible jump, oh and amazingly, you know,
- 13:18might as it God is one one four three two. That's where my households
- 13:22home is. And they have literally put migrants in the one one four three
- 13:28five and the one one three four four three four thirteen shelters in the one
- 13:41one four, three five seven. In the one one four three four,
- 13:48I pray for that beautiful suburb of Queens in Jamaica, Briarwood. I pray
- 13:54for the safety of all of us there. This isn't normal. And instead
- 14:03of trying to pack all these migrants in two different areas, we must look
- 14:11for an exit strategy, a humane but much needed exit strategy, only out
- 14:20the poorest neighborhoods, out of our city, entirely for the good of even
- 14:28them and the good of our city. See by giving freebies to illeal immigrants
- 14:39while someone who's abled on Social Security can't make extra money. That doesn't feel
- 14:46empowering to either party, does it not? In my eyes? When we're
- 14:58talking about non empowered American disability, those are those Americans disabilities in the eighty
- 15:03eight months. I know, I keep going back to that, but it's
- 15:07so striking to me how this month alone, politicians will roll out the red
- 15:13carpet for those disabilities and then reminder, you can't make more than a certain
- 15:22amounts if you're on Social Security and an impersonal disabilities. That's not the American
- 15:31dream. So why are we giving it to those who didn't even look like
- 15:35they knew where they were when they were dropped off here from across the border.
- 15:43Sounds harsh, I know, but it feels like a real sentiment here.
- 15:50There's gotta be a human way than dumping these immigrants into these neighborhoods and
- 16:00saying I and basically washing their hands saying alright, you guys, say care
- 16:06of'em. It's gotta be a better way for both parties involved and the
- 16:11eight million New Yorkers involved. What say you? On the Alex Garrett Podcast Network
