  Speaker 1: here on Morning Moments with Jesus. As we get ready

  Speaker 1: for the Word of God this morning, it comes to
• 0:28
  Speaker 1: us out of Isaiah chapter 30 verse number 21. The
• 0:32
  Speaker 1: Word of God says, And thine ears shall hear a
• 0:34
  Speaker 1: word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye
• 0:39
  Speaker 1: in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and
• 0:43
  Speaker 1: when ye turn to the left. And I looked at
• 0:47
  Speaker 1: those scriptures this morning and I began to reflect on
• 0:50
  Speaker 1: all the many years that we've been at Sunrise Chapel
• 0:53
  Speaker 1: and All the people that have come in and out
• 0:55
  Speaker 1: of those doors in those years and particularly in our
• 0:58
  Speaker 1: recovery programs and times when people just need to find
• 1:04
  Speaker 1: their way forward. And that pretty much pertains to all
• 1:09
  Speaker 1: of us at one season in our lives. But this
• 1:12
  Speaker 1: morning I take a look at that and I think
• 1:14
  Speaker 1: about a crossroads. I think about the fact that there
• 1:17
  Speaker 1: are moments in life when everything seems to pause for
• 1:20
  Speaker 1: just a moment. And the path that we've been walking
• 1:24
  Speaker 1: all through our lives seems to split. Now, it comes
• 1:27
  Speaker 1: to a place where we call the crossroad. You know
• 1:30
  Speaker 1: the kind I'm talking about this morning. Maybe for you
• 1:33
  Speaker 1: it's just a quiet moment of reflection. Maybe it's a
• 1:36
  Speaker 1: hard decision you've got to make. Or a fork in
• 1:40
  Speaker 1: the road that's either going to lead you back to
• 1:42
  Speaker 1: the familiar or forward to the unknown. That can be
• 1:46
  Speaker 1: scary and fearful for a lot of people. Maybe it's
• 1:49
  Speaker 1: a job you're not at peace with anymore. If we're
• 1:51
  Speaker 1: honest this morning, maybe it's an addiction that has a
• 1:54
  Speaker 1: grip on you that you just can't seem to let
• 1:57
  Speaker 1: go of. Or a calling you felt stirring in your
• 2:00
  Speaker 1: spirit that you hadn't answered yet. Maybe you've been too
• 2:04
  Speaker 1: afraid to let go and to follow the plan that
• 2:06
  Speaker 1: God has for your life. Maybe it's simply a deep
• 2:09
  Speaker 1: internal shift. Whatever it is, it's a hunger for something
• 2:12
  Speaker 1: more than the life you've known so far. And at
• 2:17
  Speaker 1: this crossroad, the past will whisper to you. And it'll
• 2:22
  Speaker 1: say something like this, come back to where it's safe.
• 2:27
  Speaker 1: But faith has a different calling. It says let go,
• 2:31
  Speaker 1: trust me, because there's something better waiting for you ahead.
• 2:36
  Speaker 1: And we have to make a decision. We call that
• 2:38
  Speaker 1: the crossroads of our lives. These moments can be sacred
• 2:42
  Speaker 1: or they can be scary, but they're not by accident.
• 2:47
  Speaker 1: They're often where God meets us. not with thunder and
• 2:51
  Speaker 1: lightning a lot of times, but in the stillness of
• 2:53
  Speaker 1: our surrender, that's when we see God move and work.
• 2:58
  Speaker 1: He stands at a place of decision and He invites
• 3:01
  Speaker 1: us to believe that His way is better than our way.
• 3:07
  Speaker 1: And the truth is, most of us long for assurance
• 3:10
  Speaker 1: of what's next before we ever take the first step.
• 3:14
  Speaker 1: We want to know the outcome before we're ready to move.
• 3:17
  Speaker 1: But faith doesn't work that way. God rarely gives us
• 3:21
  Speaker 1: the full picture. Instead, He gives us a promise. Think
• 3:27
  Speaker 1: about that. He doesn't give us the full picture. He
• 3:29
  Speaker 1: gives us a promise. And He says, And thine ears
• 3:33
  Speaker 1: shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way.
• 3:37
  Speaker 1: Walk in it. The crossroads requires just one thing from us. Trust.
• 3:45
  Speaker 2: Trust.
• 3:46
  Speaker 1: Abraham stood at a crossroads in his life when God
• 3:49
  Speaker 1: called him to leave everything he knew and to go
• 3:51
  Speaker 1: to a land he had never seen before. He didn't hesitate.
• 3:55
  Speaker 1: Hebrews chapter 11 and verse number 8 tells us, By
• 3:59
  Speaker 1: faith Abraham, when he was called, went out, not knowing
• 4:04
  Speaker 1: whether he went. Now that wasn't easy and it sure
• 4:07
  Speaker 1: wasn't logical, but it was necessary in order to see
• 4:12
  Speaker 1: what was ahead. And that one step of faith by
• 4:15
  Speaker 1: Abraham changed the course of history. There may be tears
• 4:20
  Speaker 1: on the crossroads. There may be fears on the crossroads. Uncertainty. Sure,
• 4:25
  Speaker 1: there are going to be all of those things. But
• 4:28
  Speaker 1: there's also going to be grace. More than enough grace
• 4:32
  Speaker 1: to move you forward. I've seen people walk in the
• 4:36
  Speaker 1: door of Sunrise Chapel broken. They're fearful. They don't know
• 4:42
  Speaker 1: what's ahead. They never had a church family. Never had
• 4:45
  Speaker 1: a church home. Seen some walk in on crutches. Some
• 4:49
  Speaker 1: walk in on spiritual crutches. And some on physical crutches.
• 4:54
  Speaker 1: And I've watched them. And I've seen what God could
• 4:58
  Speaker 1: do in their lives. He's made ministers out of those
• 5:03
  Speaker 1: who are miserable. He's made faithful servants out of those
• 5:07
  Speaker 1: who are fearful. He's made the most graceful and Wonderful
• 5:15
  Speaker 1: blessings and changes in people's lives simply because they came
• 5:20
  Speaker 1: to a crossroad and they decided they were going to
• 5:25
  Speaker 1: trust Jesus. So maybe today you're standing at your own crossroad.
• 5:30
  Speaker 1: Maybe you've been going around in circles with the same
• 5:33
  Speaker 1: decision for weeks, for months, maybe even years. Maybe the
• 5:38
  Speaker 1: fear of the unknown is trying to pull you back
• 5:40
  Speaker 1: to the familiar. This morning I ask you to take
• 5:44
  Speaker 1: a breath and remember this. You don't need to have
• 5:47
  Speaker 1: all the answers to take the first step. You just
• 5:50
  Speaker 1: need to trust the one who does have all the answers.
• 5:54
  Speaker 1: He says this is the way. Walk ye in it.
• 5:59
  Speaker 1: Even if it feels unfamiliar. Even if the road ahead
• 6:03
  Speaker 1: seems steep. Trust that the voice behind you is the
• 6:08
  Speaker 1: voice of love, wisdom, and purpose. Because today I can
• 6:13
  Speaker 1: assure you this. When you choose faith and choose to
• 6:16
  Speaker 1: move forward. On the other side of letting go. Is
• 6:21
  Speaker 1: a life greater than you could ever imagine. And is
• 6:25
  Speaker 1: crafted by the only one who knows the end. From
• 6:29
  Speaker 1: the beginning. So today you be safe. You be strong
• 6:34
  Speaker 1: and you be blessed. And you be the one today
• 6:37
  Speaker 1: that says. I'm standing at the crossroads, heart in my hand,
• 6:43
  Speaker 1: between the unknown and where I am, and trust that
• 6:47
  Speaker 1: the Lord is going to move you forward. You have
• 6:51
  Speaker 1: two choices. You can go back to the life you've known,
• 6:55
  Speaker 1: or trust in faith and just let go, and watch
• 6:59
  Speaker 1: what God does. Lord's will will see you back here

  Speaker 1: again tomorrow. Have a great day.
