- 0:01Speaker 1: Okay, this is pretty cool. I saw this thing.
- 0:03Speaker 2: People online are talking about the things that have become
- 0:06Speaker 2: more socially acceptable in the last ten years. Okay, things
- 0:11Speaker 2: that have become socially acceptable. And it's kind of funny
- 0:15Speaker 2: because there's something on here. Rich where back in the day,
- 0:18Speaker 2: I remember you being very against.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Wearing shorts on stage.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Sweats No, no, no, no, here's the rich one putting photos
- 0:29Speaker 2: of your kids online. Not only are people less concerned
- 0:32Speaker 2: about sharing images of their own kids, but other family members,
- 0:35Speaker 2: other parents, and even kids' school seems to be like
- 0:37Speaker 2: less hesitant about.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Posting photos online.
- 0:39Speaker 2: There was a time where you, I remember, you didn't
- 0:40Speaker 2: want your kids that be on social media, have social media.
- 0:42Speaker 2: You wouldn't put them on social media. You don't want
- 0:44Speaker 2: people to know you had kids.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Well, I think back in the day when it was new,
- 0:49Speaker 3: I'm like, well, that's right, their choice. Yet once they
- 0:51Speaker 3: get old enough, a lot of people.
- 0:53Speaker 4: Still feel that way.
- 0:54Speaker 2: I mean, and there is some creeps out there. This
- 0:57Speaker 2: has become more socially acceptable though. Location sharing it used
- 1:01Speaker 2: to feel creepy, but now many people have at least
- 1:03Speaker 2: one app that would show people right where they are
- 1:06Speaker 2: right AI. This also used to feel scary, but now
- 1:10Speaker 2: most people have entire conversations with the AI, even if
- 1:13Speaker 2: it's during a Google search.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I think I might be scarier than ever before.
- 1:17Speaker 3: I think, dude, I'm on AI so much like yesterday.
- 1:20Speaker 3: And it's I get when you hear about people fall
- 1:22Speaker 3: in love with their AI, because I'm having this conversation
- 1:24Speaker 3: with AI back and forth like we were friends. And
- 1:27Speaker 3: it even says that he'll be like or she, I
- 1:30Speaker 3: don't understand what you're saying. Happened to me the other day.
- 1:32Speaker 3: That's what I said to me.
- 1:33Speaker 2: And you.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Got stem cells the other day to go. I feel.
- 1:40Speaker 3: There are times you'd rather talk to AI than actual
- 1:43Speaker 3: and actual person though right it's crazy.
- 1:45Speaker 2: It truly is crazy things that have become socially acceptable
- 1:49Speaker 2: in the last ten years.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Constantly canceling plans.
- 1:53Speaker 2: There used to be a stigma around flaking, but now
- 1:56Speaker 2: bailing on plans is considered self care and protecting your peace.
- 2:00Speaker 5: Literally just texted one of my friends yesterday because she
- 2:03Speaker 5: canceled our lunch plans the second week in a row.
- 2:06Speaker 5: And she's like, I'm so sorry, and I said, I
- 2:08Speaker 5: am the friend you can cancel on. I will never
- 2:11Speaker 5: be mad at you for canceling plans.
- 2:13Speaker 3: I don't know, man, where I grew up in the Midwest.
- 2:15Speaker 3: And if you cancel a plan, like if you say
- 2:17Speaker 3: I want to meet you next Thursday at four o'clock,
- 2:20Speaker 3: unless you're like your arm fell off or something like that,
- 2:22Speaker 3: you just go.
- 2:23Speaker 1: Will Sometimes you may happen. You don't have to text,
- 2:26Speaker 1: you don't have.
- 2:26Speaker 2: To like according to this, this is you may be right,
- 2:29Speaker 2: but this is just saying that now it's a little
- 2:31Speaker 2: bit of a different world today.
- 2:32Speaker 1: People.
- 2:33Speaker 2: It just seems like a completely different world where you
- 2:35Speaker 2: could just kind of like it's a little bit more
- 2:37Speaker 2: socially acceptable to cancel. And my point of view, I
- 2:41Speaker 2: love when things cancel. I love it.
- 2:43Speaker 3: You you won't cancel, but if it gets canceled, you
- 2:45Speaker 3: like it.
- 2:46Speaker 2: I have a podcast. I tape it on Mondays. I'm
- 2:48Speaker 2: really excited about the guests that I have. But I
- 2:49Speaker 2: love it when they cancel.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Too.
- 2:53Speaker 2: I love I'm driving to the podcast and they cancel
- 2:55Speaker 2: and I go home.
- 2:57Speaker 1: This is goot being on the phone while socializing.
- 3:01Speaker 2: It's now completely normal for someone to be on their
- 3:04Speaker 2: phone while having a conversation with somebody.
- 3:06Speaker 1: It's true that's just true.
- 3:08Speaker 2: I was talking to a massage a guy that does massages,
- 3:10Speaker 2: and he says sometimes he's given massages to people and
- 3:12Speaker 2: they're on the phone.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Why you're getting a massage.
- 3:15Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 3:17Speaker 2: The ability to concentrate and read has disappeared. People will
- 3:21Speaker 2: often have full conversations based on a headline they remember
- 3:25Speaker 2: seeing on social media.
- 3:26Speaker 1: That's me, literally, that's it.
- 3:30Speaker 2: The question you're like, I didn't want to click.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Here's another thing socially acceptable.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Now, let me finish before you jump in open guilt
- 3:40Speaker 2: free cheating Academically, there's always been cheating on tests and assignments,
- 3:47Speaker 2: but using AI and online resources doesn't seem bad to people.
- 3:50Speaker 4: It's just a faster way of getting it done and
- 3:52Speaker 4: over with. I kind of agree with it, right, as
- 3:54Speaker 4: long as you have some original stuff in there. I mean,
- 3:57Speaker 4: before AI was having I'm in a calculator in class.
- 4:02Speaker 4: Things that are socially acceptable, profanity.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Someone said, I don't appreciate how casual and acceptable soaring
- 4:07Speaker 2: has become. It's everywhere now, it is. Remember back in
- 4:10Speaker 2: the day, it was a big deal to say a
- 4:12Speaker 2: certain word. I remember that there was a TV show
- 4:13Speaker 2: called NYPD Blue and they said the A word, and
- 4:17Speaker 2: it was news that they passed the sensors because they
- 4:21Speaker 2: say the A word. Now there's so many things on,
- 4:26Speaker 2: but now normal TV has to take it a little
- 4:28Speaker 2: bit further and than normal, you know what I mean,
- 4:31Speaker 2: Like if you watch Blue nowadays there is no Blue
- 4:36Speaker 2: betting and gambling like online supports betting and prediction markets
- 4:40Speaker 2: way more acceptable now.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Plus everywhere. Yeah, this is this is I think what
- 4:46Speaker 1: I'm about to say.
- 4:46Speaker 2: It's so obvious, but I guess it wasn't acceptable or
- 4:49Speaker 2: common ten years ago.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Bringing a water bottle everywhere.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Someone said, if we guss over for a nice dinner,
- 4:54Speaker 2: I'll ask them what I can get them to drink,
- 4:56Speaker 2: and they just plunk their huge water bottle. We got
- 4:59Speaker 2: a water, They'll just have their water. So weird to me,
- 5:01Speaker 2: and it seems like a rejection of hospitality, but I
- 5:05Speaker 2: get it. If you got something else to add to
- 5:07Speaker 2: this list, text it to me, text jjer and whatever.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Is now socially acceptable, but it wasn't ten years ago
- 5:14Speaker 2: to nine six, eight ninety three,
