• 0:20
General Charles Cornwallis surrendered his army
• 0:22
after a combined American and French siege at
• 0:25
Yorktown. A decisive military capitulation that
• 0:29
brought large -scale organized fighting to a
• 0:31
close in the American Revolutionary Conflict.
• 0:35
That surrender helped secure ultimate independence
• 0:38
and reshaped the map of the emerging nation.
• 0:43
So now you know. And now, it's time for the weather
• 0:47

like 44 degrees, with 2 miles per hour wind.
• 0:57
The sunset will take place at 5 .53. and it will
• 1:00
rise again tomorrow at 7 .02. It looks like we're
• 1:04
in for a sunny day with a high near 58 and a

light northeast breeze around 6 miles per hour.
• 1:11
If you're inland, it will hit a high of 58 tonight.
• 1:17
Expect patchy fog after 2 a .m., mostly cloudy
• 1:20
skies with a low around 44 and a light northeast
• 1:24
wind around 6 miles per hour. The nearshore buoy

• 1:38

Sunny mornings send you. In local news, the dating
• 2:46
scene in Boston has taken an intriguing turn
• 2:48
with the new season of Love is Blind. Hosted
• 2:53
by Nick and Vanessa Lychee, the show has sparked
• 2:56
discussions around authenticity. as the Boston
• 2:58
cast navigates love in the pods. Despite complaints
• 3:03
about representation, some members, like comedian
• 3:06
Josh Gondelman, argue that true Boston identity
• 3:09
comes from being genuine, not just accents or
• 3:12
sports allegiances. With viewers expressing mixed
• 3:16
feelings, the cast's journey raises questions
• 3:19
about emotional maturity and compatibility. As
• 3:23
the season unfolds, fans eagerly await to see

who will say, I do, and who may not find love

news, one of El Nino's most dramatic effects
• 6:25
is waiting in the wings, and could soon cause
• 6:27
chaos along the West Coast. especially in California,
• 6:31
forecasters warned. A historic El Nino is expected
• 6:35
to increase the intensity of atmospheric rivers,
• 6:39
which can transport tremendous amounts of moisture
• 6:41
and produce heavy rain or snow when they reach
• 6:44
land. Daniel Swain, a climate scientist, stated
• 6:48
that a stronger El Nino brings stronger atmospheric
• 6:52
  rivers. These atmospheric rivers, responsible
• 6:55
for up to 65 % of extreme rain and snow events
• 6:59
in the western United States, can stretch thousands
• 7:02
of miles and wreak havoc on travel and property.
• 7:07
In business news, people in China are spending
• 7:10
nearly as much of their income as Americans on
• 7:13
healthcare. High healthcare costs are driving

people in China to save rather than spend, according
• 7:20
to the International Monetary Fund in their book

titled, toward a new economic growth model for
• 7:26
China. In rural China, 8 .7 % of disposable income
• 7:31
is spent on health care, second only to the United
• 7:34
States, which spends nearly 9 .9%. Bourbon China
• 7:39
ranks third at 5 .4%. The disparity in health
• 7:43
care burden grows clearer when comparing per
• 7:46
capita disposable income with the United States
• 7:49
  at $68 ,289. and China's at around $6 ,400. In
• 7:57
