- 0:11preparations required for numerous other Paths of yoga,
- 0:16the eighth, step set forth, and patanjali, yoga, sutras include
- 0:20to prepare ettore stages called yamas and niyamas house.
- 0:26These set forth purifications of the physical, vital, and mental
- 0:30being so that the further practices can bear fruit and not
- 0:35wind up harming. The practitioner similar
- 0:38requirements are set forth for many paths of spiritual
- 0:41discipline, one way, or the other to ensure, the individual
- 0:46can focus. Not become distracted and hold
- 0:50the energy without spilling it or breaking down the body life,
- 0:54mine complex. some individuals like Miller Epi required

- 1:04asked to practice silence or devotional prayers to quiet, the

- 1:12preparation of the physical body.
- 1:14So as to have it acquire a perfect seat Asana, that is
- 1:19steady firm, and which can be maintained for long periods of
- 1:23time as meditation develops. Every yogic path, every
- 1:29spiritual discipline, ask the practitioner to First undertake
- 1:34exercises of this sort. So as to ready the being for the
- 1:38arduous efforts and tests that arise along the way, For the
- 1:44integral yoga, all of these preparations are subsumed under
- 1:48a more General prescription of becoming conscious, the process,
- 1:53and the result of becoming conscious inevitably leads to
- 1:57the type of purifications asked for in the numerous other Paths
- 2:02of spirituality the other day. A Seeker asks, what role Hunter
- 2:07yoga, or Raja yoga play for a practitioner of the integral
- 2:11yoga? neither of these are necessarily
- 2:16required for the integral yoga but may become part of the
- 2:20process at some stage, or another, as the conscious
- 2:23speaker, addresses issues that arise in the course of the
- 2:27sapna, every science, every branch of human knowledge, human
- 2:33activity and human Energy, may be called to play a role at a
- 2:38certain stage, the conscious individual learns to wield these
- 2:43two Rules to address difficulties, or to support
- 2:47progress in the mind, Life Energy or the body to the extent
- 2:52that he finds. They will Aid the process and
- 2:56without being attached to them as permanent stages.
- 3:00For instance, the disciplines of Hatha, Yoga may help to train
- 3:04the body Aid in the increasing awareness and consciousness of
- 3:08the body and make it strong flexible and resilient.
- 3:14The disciplines of Raja yoga may do something similar for the
- 3:17nervous envelope and the mind yet in the end, once the need
- 3:24has been dealt with the practitioner can and should put
- 3:28aside the tools in order to continue to progress into the
- 3:32next phase or stage of yogic development, it must be
- 3:38remembered. That the goal of integral yoga
- 3:40is not to become a perfect hunting Yogi, nor Raja Logan.
- 3:45But to open the Consciousness to Oneness with the Divine force,
- 3:49and to support that Force, as it carries out the evolutionary
- 3:53Transformations that take place in the world.
- 3:59A disciple asks, what is one to do to prepare oneself for the
- 4:04yoga? The mother observes quote to be
- 4:09conscious. First of all, we are conscious
- 4:12of only an insignificant portion of our being for the most part.
- 4:17We are unconscious. It is this unconsciousness that
- 4:21keeps us down to our unregenerate nature and prevents
- 4:25change and transformation in it. It is through unconsciousness
- 4:30that the unde Divine forces enter into us and make us their
- 4:34slaves. You are to be conscious of
- 4:37yourself, you must awake to your nature and movements.
- 4:41You must know why and how you do things or feel or think them.
- 4:46You must understand your motives and impulses the forces hidden
- 4:52and apparent that move you. In fact you must as it were Take
- 4:58two pieces, the entire Machinery of your being.
- 5:02Once you are conscious, it means that you can distinguish and
- 5:06sift things. You can see, which are the
- 5:08forces that pull you down, and which help you on and quote
