- 0:01If you can only relax into your own depths,
- 0:05into the benevolence of the mystery and the unknown,
- 0:09if you can do that, you'll be held.
- 0:22Hello and welcome back to Remember Why You Are Here,
- 0:26a podcast for seekers and sensitives where you can relax, receive,
- 0:30reconnect to yourself and remember the most important thing of all-why you're
- 0:35here. I'm Asia Suler,
- 0:38author Earth intuitive teacher,
- 0:41and this is your intuitive reading for May,
- 0:452025. I feel like this year,
- 0:48I feel like January went so slow.
- 0:51It just was a snail's pace.
- 0:53And ever since then it has just sped along and you now all of a
- 0:57sudden we're in May. I'm here for it,
- 1:00but also kind of surprised that we're here for it, if you know what I mean.
- 1:05Okay, so I picked a card for this month
- 1:10and yeah, there's some depths here.
- 1:14I'm going to say that there's some depths here. I picked a card from Kim Krantz
- 1:18archetype deck. And I love this deck.
- 1:22It's not a traditional deck in any way, shape or form. It's an Oracle deck.
- 1:27And I love how this deck sort of
- 1:31opens a portal into an archetype and then invites you to
- 1:36tune in to the collective unconscious,
- 1:39to this collective understanding to find out what that archetype means for you.
- 1:43So as I bring forth this card that came through for us this month,
- 1:48I want to invite you to connect into what this archetype means for you.
- 1:53I'm going to share what came through for me when I picked this for all of us,
- 1:57but I also want you to ask yourself,
- 2:00what does this archetype mean for me in my life?
- 2:03What are my connotations around this thing?
- 2:07Because I think there's some personal messages that are going to come through
- 2:10for you when you connect with that. So when I shuffled this deck,
- 2:13I ended up picking "The Ocean" for us this May.
- 2:18The card shows the horizon line with the ocean below and the sky
- 2:22above, and there's two circles:
- 2:23one in the sky and one in the ocean that almost looked like two eyes.
- 2:27The one in the sky's a little larger and the one in the ocean is a little bit
- 2:31smaller,
- 2:32but it almost looks like it could be like the moon reflected in the water or two
- 2:37circular discs,
- 2:38two eyes looking out from this space. I
- 2:42was excited when we got this card because I love the ocean.
- 2:47Even though the ocean contains such magnitudes and such mystery,
- 2:52the ocean has always felt like a home space to me,
- 2:55and I think that that is common for probably a lot of people who listen
- 3:00to this podcast, people who are deep thinkers, deep feelers,
- 3:03who are sensitive and empathic,
- 3:06that the ocean as this place of mystery and bigness is also
- 3:11this place of homecoming. And on a very literal level, the ocean is our home.
- 3:16We evolve from creatures who walked out of the ocean.
- 3:20So I think we all feel this on a DNA level when we're by the ocean,
- 3:25this sense of homecoming, wellbeing.
- 3:28There's also a lot of evidence that a lot of ancient humans were living and
- 3:32traveling along coastlines. That's how we explore the world,
- 3:36that the ocean was the way in which we really were delivered into greater
- 3:40iterations and circles of our destiny.
- 3:42So as I talk about what came through for me in picking this
- 3:47card, The Ocean, for May,
- 3:50I really encourage you to tune into your own relationship with the
- 3:54ocean-what comes up for you when you think about the ocean-because this
- 3:59personal connection for you I think is also really important. In the guidebook
- 4:03that accompanies this deck,
- 4:05Kim Krantz talks a lot about the ocean as symbolic for our unconscious,
- 4:10as this vast reservoir of the things that exist beneath the
- 4:14surface in our lives,
- 4:16that the ocean is the great mystery and literally the ocean is so
- 4:20mysterious. We think the moon is mysterious?
- 4:23There's so much more in the ocean that we haven't explored than we
- 4:26have in outer space.
- 4:28The ocean is this frontier of profound mystery on our
- 4:33planet. There's so much we don't know about this deep,
- 4:36deep body of water that surrounds us all and that makes up the bulk of our
- 4:40planet. So she talks about the ocean as this force that
- 4:45we have failed to dominate and control as human beings-which...
- 4:49thank goodness for that-but as this allegory really for the
- 4:54vastness of the mystery that we can never control, that we can never understand,
- 4:59but that even in its bigness,
- 5:02it can be a comfort actually and a solace to us.
- 5:05And she talks specifically about letting the smallness of ourselves
- 5:10dissolve into the bigness of all that is in the ocean.
- 5:14And I just love that concept and that coziness of that even though
- 5:19there's a little bit of an ego dissolution here. So when I tuned in on my own
- 5:23after receiving this card,
- 5:25the first thing I saw was myself standing on the edge of the
- 5:30ocean. You can probably visualize this for yourself too,
- 5:33even if you've never been to the ocean, see yourself standing,
- 5:37as we enter this month of May, on the edge of this vast ocean.
- 5:41And that's the energy that I'm getting,
- 5:43that we're standing on the edge of something really big,
- 5:47that you're standing on the edge of something very vast in your
- 5:51own life, something that you've been building towards and working towards,
- 5:56and that you're on the edge of this bigness
- 6:00now. And there's something wrapped up in the
- 6:05bigness that you are approaching, that you're standing beside,
- 6:08that you're gazing out towards, that is here and imminent,
- 6:13that has to do with your own work,
- 6:17with your own unconscious,
- 6:19all the work that you have put into understanding your inner
- 6:24self,
- 6:25to perceiving what was unperceivable to you before. It's like that
- 6:30Carl Jung quote, "Until you make the unconscious conscious,
- 6:33it will rule your life and you'll call it fate." It's almost like this card is
- 6:37pointing your attention to all the work that you have done to make the
- 6:41unconscious conscious,
- 6:43all of the ways in which you have really tended to your
- 6:48own depths.
- 6:49There's some sort of symphonic coming together happening this month
- 6:54that's like you really realizing that this work that you've done is
- 6:58worthwhile, it's been important, it is paying off.
- 7:03It's showing up for you in this world.
- 7:06And I really do get the feeling if you're someone who's been working on
- 7:11a personal healing,
- 7:12maybe a health healing or some sort of deep pattern in your
- 7:17life-if you've really been working on this,
- 7:21and especially if it's something that is connected into your psyche,
- 7:25the unconscious realms of dreams
- 7:29or your DNA,
- 7:32really deep kind of stuff like that-that there's something with this
- 7:37month where you're going to see that work come to
- 7:41fruition. And at the very least you're going to have a really big
- 7:45appreciation for the work that you've done because it's delivered you here.
- 7:50The ocean is also often symbolic of our emotions,
- 7:54which is connected in with our unconscious. But for me,
- 7:57it really brought up this sense or this feeling this month of there being
- 8:02emotional depths that may come up.
- 8:06And emotional deaths can be all the things.
- 8:09It can be good emotional depths, it can be hard emotional depths,
- 8:14but that there might be some pretty big highs and lows this month.
- 8:19But there's this texture to it where, because of the work you've done,
- 8:24you're going to be able to meet the highs and the
- 8:29lows,
- 8:30to have an appreciation for your depths. Instead of always being like,
- 8:36I wish this hadn't happened, or I wish I responded to that differently,
- 8:39or I wish I was different, I wish things were different,
- 8:41I just need to work harder, this has to get better..
- 8:44that there's almost this peace feeling of standing beside the ocean and being
- 8:48like, I contain depths, I contain multitudes,
- 8:51and that's okay. And it's almost like this sense that the work you've done,
- 8:56the emotional inner work that you've done,
- 8:59is really going to help you meet the waves that are going
- 9:04to come in this month and that there's a deepening happening here,
- 9:08a deepening that is preparing you to meet the bigness that is to come.
- 9:14There's this thing about the ocean, right, where it is like the great mother,
- 9:20source from which we all come from,
- 9:22which makes our planet what it is-the blue planet.
- 9:26And even though the ocean can also be destructive,
- 9:30there's this sense of deep respect that we all have for the ocean-like bordering
- 9:35on superstition, right?
- 9:37Those of us whose lives and livelihood are really tied into the ocean,
- 9:41it's like this respect is so essential.
- 9:43We know how important this respect is to maintain
- 9:46relationship. And there's something in this month ahead about you
- 9:51having that kind of respect for yourself and for your own
- 9:56depths. Like instead of constantly trying to fix or change
- 10:00things, like standing there among the rise and the
- 10:04fall and the change of the tides and just having deep respect for yourself for
- 10:09all the ways in which you've said yes to this life experience,
- 10:12for all the ways in which you have showed up.
- 10:15You deserve that kind of respect and there's a
- 10:18sense of solidness even within the waving of this month of
- 10:23you really being able to turn that respect inwards and be like,
- 10:27Wow, I really honor myself for the work that I've done. Wow,
- 10:32I am someone who has a lot of depths.
- 10:35And those depths are beautiful. It is a powerful gift to get
- 10:39glimpses into your own depths. And
- 10:44this is something that not everybody seeks in their lifetime.
- 10:49Not everybody on this planet is saying, I want to go deep.
- 10:53I want to understand myself on a deep level.
- 10:55I want to understand other people on this deep level.
- 10:58I want to understand this planet, this earth. But if you're listening to this,
- 11:03then you are one of those people who are saying or asking or
- 11:08placing at the center of their life like this desire for depth,
- 11:11this desire for deepness.
- 11:14And this month will be this opportunity for
- 11:19experiencing more depth: more of your depths,
- 11:23your inner depths, more depth in life, more layers,
- 11:28more nuances. And depths are all the things right?
- 11:33Depths are sheltering, depths are nutritive,
- 11:38depths are scary, depths are consuming.
- 11:43And this is what makes it so brave of you to be the kind of person who's
- 11:48coming into this life and saying,
- 11:50I want to know the depths. It's brave because there's so much
- 11:55mystery there,
- 11:55but it's reminding me of the reading that I did for this
- 12:00whole year of 2025 where I talked about mystery as sort of the heart of this
- 12:05year, of the center of this year.
- 12:07And with this card coming in for May,
- 12:10the feeling is that theme of courting mystery,
- 12:14of befriending mystery,
- 12:16of letting the depth of life-which is such mystery.
- 12:20I literally think about sinking into the depths of the ocean and
- 12:24going into this place that is beyond human knowing-it's almost like
- 12:29that theme is really going to take root this month. In a way maybe it hasn't
- 12:34quite yet in your year so far.
- 12:38Maybe there's been a lot of drive, a lot of forward momentum,
- 12:41but there's something about May where it's like this pause of this
- 12:45plunge into the depths and into embracing mystery.
- 12:48And it's a test in a way of,
- 12:54can you embrace mystery?
- 12:55Can you see mystery as a kind of beloved-not as something that's here to mess up
- 13:00your plans or throw you into confusion,
- 13:02but something that is here to shelter you and to hold you. And I think this is
- 13:06particularly...
- 13:08it can be very vivid and helpful if you do identify as sensitive or
- 13:12empathic;
- 13:15when you're a sensitive person and you have such a big system,
- 13:17you have such a nervous system that has such big energy and you have so much
- 13:23potential to see and feel attuned to things,
- 13:25it can feel really good to be held by something bigger than you.
- 13:29It can feel really good to be able to relax into that bigness.
- 13:33And that's what the ocean is. The ocean is like the ultimate bigness.
- 13:36Think about it this way: the ocean can carry any weight,
- 13:41any weight. The ocean can carry that.
- 13:45A blue whale, buoyant in an ocean.
- 13:49And so think about... when we think about mystery,
- 13:53think about it as something that is this force like the ocean,
- 13:57something you can relax into,
- 13:58something you can be held by. The undercurrent of all of existence
- 14:03is benevolence. The undercurrent of all of existence is love.
- 14:08And so mystery as something that arises is out of the very heart of existence,
- 14:12is made up of benevolence, is made up of care and love. And you can rest here.
- 14:17This can be a resting place.
- 14:19And when we can embrace this mystery place,
- 14:24the depths,
- 14:25the unconscious-when we embrace it and go in with
- 14:29this brave heart of simply wanting to experience,
- 14:33wanting to be with it,
- 14:35appreciating it for its depths and its darkness and its unknown
- 14:39qualities-that it unfolds itself,
- 14:43it unfolds and gives us so much.
- 14:46The ocean is this source of perpetual gifts,
- 14:51perpetual, perpetual gifts. We could not be here without the ocean.
- 14:55It is a source of life on our planet.
- 14:58And in this month of connecting into
- 15:03the ocean as this archetype for you,
- 15:05it's like this invitation to really connect into this
- 15:10deep unseen aspect of reality that is here to hold you.
- 15:16And researchers show the majority of what we know is unconscious,
- 15:21just like the majority of the bulk of a mountain is underneath the surface
- 15:25of the earth.
- 15:27Just like what we know about the ocean is just this small percentage of what's
- 15:31happening on the surface of the ocean,
- 15:32and there's so much depths underneath.
- 15:36That's you.
- 15:38That's you. That's who you are. You have those kinds of depths.
- 15:41And walking into this month of May,
- 15:44I really feel like there's this invitation for you to see and recognize your
- 15:48depths, to befriend your own depths, to be with them.
- 15:51And it's almost like if we give ourselves this opportunity this month without
- 15:57the harshness of having to push ourselves too hard,
- 15:59without all the judgments that come along around where you should be or what you
- 16:03should be doing,
- 16:04to just imagine almost like you're taking a holiday by the sea.
- 16:08But not necessarily one of those Caribbean beaches-like a
- 16:11deep, complex,
- 16:13nuanced ocean with many depths.
- 16:16And you're there and you're experiencing it and it's going to bring you into
- 16:20this deeper understanding of who you are.
- 16:25This is a month of going into this deep understanding of who you are and also
- 16:30having so much appreciation for what you have done so far in your life to get
- 16:34here. Because let's go back to the original image that came in for me:
- 16:38you're standing on the edge of something big.
- 16:43Can you feel that? You're standing on the edge of something big,
- 16:46like a breakthrough in healing,
- 16:49a breakthrough in creativity, a breakthrough in your work in some way,
- 16:53shape or form,
- 16:55a breakthrough in your family's healing...
- 16:59There's something here where you're standing on the edge of
- 17:03something big. And right now you're doing that work
- 17:08of sort of gathering up all the pieces of you,
- 17:12including this admiration for your own self and this recognition of your own
- 17:16depths, to make you... to ready you,
- 17:19to prepare you for the bigness that is about to come.
- 17:24So this is going to be a deep month. I don't really have a doubt about that.
- 17:29If the ocean shows up in your reading, this is going to be a deep month.
- 17:33There's going to be tides.
- 17:35There's probably going to be different waves of feeling this month,
- 17:39but at the heart of it is going to be this sense that if you can only relax
- 17:44into the depth, into the deepness of what's happening, into your own depths,
- 17:50into the benevolence of the mystery and the unknown-if there's some unknown
- 17:54things this month, that's okay. Relax into it-if you can do that,
- 17:59you'll be held. And you might even really want to just imagine yourself,
- 18:03if you have the space and the time, if it feels good,
- 18:06imagine yourself floating in the ocean and just being held-like every
- 18:11single ounce of your weight being held and being buoyant in this
- 18:16water. Because at the end of the day, this is your home. You belong here.
- 18:21The ocean, the depths, the unseen world, the mystery...
- 18:26this is where you belong. It's where you came from,
- 18:29and it's where you will return.
- 18:30And so there is a holding and there's a cupping and there's a buoyancy here as
- 18:35you move into the ocean of this month.
- 18:41So thank you for being here. Thank you for tuning in.
- 18:44It's been so fun to start this podcast and to connect with you
- 18:49all in this way. It's become my favorite thing.
- 18:53I've been so tickled by all of the reviews that you all have been
- 18:58leaving: the stars, the reviews, the ratings, the thumbs up...
- 19:02they mean so much. It's like every time you do that,
- 19:06you're literally sending me energy to keep going.
- 19:09So thank you so much for that.
- 19:11And I just wanted to read this one review-I love them all. I read them all,
- 19:15and this is just one of the many that have cropped up.
- 19:18And I just wanted to say thank you.
- 19:20So this is from Weaver of Words: "I always feel refreshed after listening to
- 19:24Asia's inspiring reflections and grounded wisdom.
- 19:27With time speeding up lately and a lot of chaos and distraction in the
- 19:31world,
- 19:32she helps me to slow down and connect with my soul and more clearly see the next
- 19:35step in my sacred journey." What more could you ask for? I mean,
- 19:40really,
- 19:41this podcast has been such a beautiful way to connect with like-hearted
- 19:47people around the world. And when I do these monthly readings,
- 19:51it really just brings home this reality that we are all here,
- 19:54we're all together, we're all part of this collective together,
- 19:59and we're riding these waves together. And there's a profound comfort in that.
- 20:04So thank you for being a part of this community with me.
- 20:06Thank you for being in the waves with me. So I'm sending you so many blessings
- 20:11for the month ahead. May it be one of depth,
- 20:14may it be one of healing, may it be one of self self-recognition,
- 20:19may you be held. And as you go into those depths,
- 20:24may it be one where you really,
- 20:26truly and deeply are able to remember why you're here.
