- 0:04Speaker 1: Hello mamas or should i say hey mamas i thought
- 0:10Speaker 1: it would be fitting today to talk about what seems
- 0:14Speaker 1: like the most obvious cia psyop that has ever been
- 0:19Speaker 1: created um in our year of 2026 and i thought
- 0:22Speaker 1: to launch the new era of my podcast, which I
- 0:29Speaker 1: do realize now, as I'm looking at my reflection, looks
- 0:32Speaker 1: a little bit like Fox news. Um, uh, let's shoot
- 0:37Speaker 1: bullets at the sun vibes. Earth is flat. Moon landing was, um,
- 0:43Speaker 1: you know what that one we'll talk about that another time. Um,
- 0:46Speaker 1: but I promise you I'm coming to you, uh, lesbians
- 0:50Speaker 1: and all in good faith. I am a lesbian ally.
- 0:55Speaker 1: And my take on what I'm about to say might
- 0:59Speaker 1: shock you. But if you've been a little bit too
- 1:02Speaker 1: deep online in the past, let's say, how long has
- 1:06Speaker 1: this been going on? Two weeks? You may or may
- 1:10Speaker 1: not know about the KN95 mandatory lesbian bar in Massachusetts
- 1:17Speaker 1: called Last Ditch, figure two. Figure three is a lesbian flag,
- 1:22Speaker 1: if you forgot what that was. And figure one is
- 1:25Speaker 1: a KN95 mask. Who remembers from COVID? Anyone? It has
- 1:33Speaker 1: created a firestorm of... It doesn't get more culture war
- 1:40Speaker 1: than this. This is the final frontier of the culture war.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Right when you thought the battle was over, that both
- 1:46Speaker 1: parties laid exhausted, depleted of resources, this is the final push.
- 1:52Speaker 1: This is fucking Normandy, okay? Let me run down the
- 2:00Speaker 1: events of the KN95 mandatory lesbian bar situation. After two
- 2:11Speaker 1: bars in Greenfield, Massachusetts shut down, there was a gap
- 2:16Speaker 1: in Greenfield, Massachusetts. A extremely woke, you know, like, forget what, like,
- 2:23Speaker 1: take what you think about Portland, Bushwick, these places that
- 2:27Speaker 1: are often, like, villainized by conservative media as, like, woke,
- 2:32Speaker 1: rat-infested strongholds. And then Take what you know about those,
- 2:36Speaker 1: turn it up 100%, and you have Greenfield, Massachusetts. And
- 2:42Speaker 1: this is not like a one-off place. There are places
- 2:47Speaker 1: like this that exist all across the U.S. and across
- 2:49Speaker 1: the world, almost like anomalies. You'd think that when you're
- 2:53Speaker 1: out in the boonies, you would not be coming across,
- 2:56Speaker 1: you would think you'd be finding Confederate flags and not
- 2:59Speaker 1: the pride flags that somehow cover every single sexual orientation
- 3:04Speaker 1: and gender, what did Rihanna say? And gender appropriations and
- 3:09Speaker 1: the pronouns. But alas, they do exist. There are, I
- 3:14Speaker 1: have driven through Vermont and seen these and honestly, and
- 3:18Speaker 1: this is where I'll say it. I love them. I
- 3:21Speaker 1: love them. I love a woke little town. I love
- 3:24Speaker 1: driving through a woke little lesbian town and knowing that
- 3:27Speaker 1: they are all, that they are living their Stardew Valley
- 3:30Speaker 1: in real life. I am happy for them. I am
- 3:33Speaker 1: so grateful that they get to do this. I know
- 3:36Speaker 1: people are looking at this little town of Greenfield, Massachusetts,
- 3:39Speaker 1: where the lesbian bar exists, and they're thinking, they're thinking,
- 3:43Speaker 1: drone strike it. No, no, no, no, no. No, they're
- 3:47Speaker 1: not bothering anyone. There's a reason why they're in this
- 3:50Speaker 1: little town out in the middle of nowhere. It's because
- 3:52Speaker 1: where else will they be? They have to create their
- 3:55Speaker 1: own society where they can be mask mandatory, where they're
- 4:00Speaker 1: not spilling over into the rest of society. So anyways,
- 4:05Speaker 1: the history of this bar. There, suddenly, this very queer,
- 4:10Speaker 1: very woke town, there's a gap, okay? They've lost two
- 4:13Speaker 1: of their queer bars. And what do we need to
- 4:18Speaker 1: do in times of chaos, of havoc? Create queer spaces! So,
- 4:25Speaker 1: enter Last Ditch Bar. This is a bar that was
- 4:29Speaker 1: created by three people in their 20s. And, you know, I, listen.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I barely run a business as you can tell right now.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Like this, it, Hey, I just got a podcast deal
- 4:43Speaker 1: with Sirius XM. And what did I spend the advance
- 4:47Speaker 1: on getting vintage tabloid magazines and then, um, hanging them
- 4:53Speaker 1: on the wall. So I never want to run a business.
- 4:57Speaker 1: That's why you never see me making like a fucking, uh,
- 5:01Speaker 1: gummies or chocolate or like a sports drink. I'd rather, uh,
- 5:06Speaker 1: swallow a grenade and explode my head a thousand times
- 5:13Speaker 1: while fucking a bag of glass. I'd rather do that
- 5:16Speaker 1: than like really be in the weeds of a business.
- 5:19Speaker 1: So I applaud anyone that can. And I also applaud
- 5:22Speaker 1: people that are bad at it. I think there's something
- 5:25Speaker 1: beautiful in people stepping into their truth. Um, and I
- 5:28Speaker 1: think there's something more beautiful about someone stepping into doing
- 5:33Speaker 1: the opposite of that. Um, So these three people open
- 5:37Speaker 1: this bar. And you know what? A bar in the
- 5:39Speaker 1: middle of Massachusetts probably is not going to be the
- 5:42Speaker 1: most overhead. It's probably not going to be the most
- 5:44Speaker 1: expensive thing ever. But alas, it's still a business. You
- 5:46Speaker 1: have to keep the lights on. You have to pay
- 5:48Speaker 1: your employees. You have to pay for all the other
- 5:51Speaker 1: business stuff. And they do certain business tactics such as
- 5:58Speaker 1: they don't pay themselves, which I think is really noble.
- 6:00Speaker 1: A lot of people are shitting on them for doing this,
- 6:02Speaker 1: saying like, You fucking idiots, you have a bar and
- 6:05Speaker 1: you don't even pay yourself. No, how your mother, Teresa,
- 6:09Speaker 1: if you're going to run a whole business and not
- 6:10Speaker 1: even pay yourself. Anyways, this queer bar required KN95 masks
- 6:19Speaker 1: at all times, even throughout, you know, 2026, where much
- 6:25Speaker 1: of the world has declared that COVID is no longer
- 6:28Speaker 1: a pandemic. But this particular space, believed that, you know,
- 6:33Speaker 1: some maybe were immunocompromised, some were maybe just scared of
- 6:38Speaker 1: the bug. Hey, I fucking get it. I, for some reason,
- 6:43Speaker 1: here's the thing about me. I've always struggled with a
- 6:45Speaker 1: germ and specifically the thought of a chronic disease is
- 6:48Speaker 1: the scariest thing. That's been my biggest fear since I
- 6:50Speaker 1: was 10. Like I remember being 10 and like never
- 6:53Speaker 1: eating greens because I was scared I would get hepatitis
- 6:57Speaker 1: C because like my uncle, like, Or I think he
- 7:00Speaker 1: got it. Oh, is that a hippo? Is that a hippo? No,
- 7:02Speaker 1: I didn't say which uncle. But I was so fucking scared.
- 7:06Speaker 1: So I understand living in fear of a virus and
- 7:10Speaker 1: a disease. I get it. And when very few will
- 7:13Speaker 1: empathize with the long COVID crowd, I understand. And I'm
- 7:20Speaker 1: not saying that ironically or anything. I truly do understand.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Then comes one fateful day. One fateful day where the bar,
- 7:31Speaker 1: struggling financially, decides we're going to open it up. We're
- 7:35Speaker 1: going to make it mask optional on Saturdays. And let
- 7:40Speaker 1: me read you the post on Instagram that was made.
- 7:45Speaker 1: There was a few updates. It was an update post
- 7:48Speaker 1: from the bar on Instagram. And specifically, they said, it
- 7:54Speaker 1: is with love. We inform our immunocompromised disabled divas. We
- 7:58Speaker 1: will be opening Saturday nights as mask optional to try
- 8:01Speaker 1: out typical club nights with themes, hosts, DJs, full capacity.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Accessibility is a pillar of our mission, and our mission
- 8:07Speaker 1: is to make the space work for everyone and everything radical.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Sometimes that's being wild. We strive for solidarity, transparency of risks,
- 8:15Speaker 1: and connecting us all in this revolution. We still give
- 8:18Speaker 1: priority to public and private masked bookings and continue a
- 8:22Speaker 1: recurring monthly mask social prioritizing safety. It is only after
- 8:26Speaker 1: an outpour of feedback from our regulars, volunteers, and team
- 8:28Speaker 1: that we make this addition. And that is when hell
- 8:34Speaker 1: broke fucking loose in Massachusetts. They received comments. Like, this
- 8:42Speaker 1: was one of the rare situations where there was more
- 8:44Speaker 1: comments than likes. One user said, just say you're being
- 8:48Speaker 1: complicit in a mass disabling event and get it over with.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Another one. People like you kill disabled people in the
- 8:54Speaker 1: name of your own leisure and convenience. And finally, I
- 8:59Speaker 1: hope your venue gets firebombed for robbing my fellow immunocompromised
- 9:03Speaker 1: people of their Saturday plans just to scrape extra revenue
- 9:06Speaker 1: from ableists. There was 442 comments before the comments were
- 9:11Speaker 1: turned off, but it was not received. It was not received. Pleasantly,
- 9:18Speaker 1: let's say. So... The founders immediately go into panic mode.
- 9:23Speaker 1: They create another post saying, accessibility update. We are sorry
- 9:26Speaker 1: to disappoint valued community members with access changes by a
- 9:29Speaker 1: casual announcement. Our diverse disabled immunocompromised team makes decisions by
- 9:34Speaker 1: multiple open community meetings, feedback form review, and advice from
- 9:38Speaker 1: intersectional business advisors slash elders. Vast feedback over two years
- 9:43Speaker 1: pushed for varied accessibility, not one size fits all. People
- 9:46Speaker 1: consent to varying risks every day to be in community,
- 9:48Speaker 1: though we generally try to follow universal design. All 99%
- 9:52Speaker 1: of us marginalized deserve to be welcome. Accessibility is a
- 9:56Speaker 1: pillar of our mission. We prioritize solidarity amongst groups with
- 10:00Speaker 1: different needs, connecting us all in this revolution. When I
- 10:04Speaker 1: show you this Instagram post, is there anything that stands
- 10:09Speaker 1: out to you? Anything at all? When you look at
- 10:13Speaker 1: the metadata of it, anything around it? This post did
- 10:18Speaker 1: not contain alt This is a feature on various social
- 10:22Speaker 1: media platforms where the poster is able to put in
- 10:27Speaker 1: a description of the image in a way that screen readers,
- 10:32Speaker 1: so for people that are hard of vision, their screen
- 10:37Speaker 1: reader is able to read the text for them. And
- 10:43Speaker 1: that made things worse, that this did not have the
- 10:45Speaker 1: alt text. The firestorm started again. The ableist accusation started again.
- 10:53Speaker 1: So they freak out, the owners, and they realize that
- 10:57Speaker 1: they need to have like a fucking emergency meeting. They
- 11:00Speaker 1: pick September 11th. Amazing. September 11th and have a mediator,
- 11:07Speaker 1: like a therapist mediator, as well as different patrons and
- 11:12Speaker 1: some people on Zoom. It was a three and a
- 11:15Speaker 1: half hour community meeting. And throughout the meeting, here were
- 11:22Speaker 1: some of the concerns voiced. After the mediator therapist, who
- 11:27Speaker 1: happened to be white, said this to the people that
- 11:31Speaker 1: were attending via Zoom. I love that you're here online,
- 11:33Speaker 1: but these platforms alienate us from each other. I'm talking
- 11:36Speaker 1: about social media. She asked whether participants can try to
- 11:39Speaker 1: remove themselves from places of righteousness. I would love to
- 11:42Speaker 1: get to a place where we all know each other's face.
- 11:44Speaker 1: where we all know each other's names, she continues. I'm
- 11:47Speaker 1: sure you've struggled in Zoom calls where sometimes it's just
- 11:51Speaker 1: someone's name. Sometimes you don't even know who you're talking to.
- 11:54Speaker 1: But boy, oh fucking boy, was that the wrong thing
- 11:57Speaker 1: to say. Someone replied saying, a lot of people are
- 12:01Speaker 1: calling for an acknowledgement of harm and I'm hearing a
- 12:04Speaker 1: white therapist centering the feelings of a majority white and
- 12:07Speaker 1: white adjacent staff. Then the Zoom attendees speculated that since
- 12:13Speaker 1: the mediator, who was a licensed therapist, is a mandated reporter,
- 12:18Speaker 1: so therapists, whenever their patients can maybe hurt themselves or others,
- 12:25Speaker 1: they have to report it to the police. So they
- 12:31Speaker 1: accused her of being an agent of the state akin
- 12:34Speaker 1: to police. One person going by Moss asked the mediator
- 12:39Speaker 1: if they would have them hospitalized against their will, adding
- 12:42Speaker 1: that the mediator's presence was wildly unsafe. It spells out
- 12:47Speaker 1: of control. It goes off the fucking rails. And then
- 12:52Speaker 1: comes the Boston Globe article. They had a reporter there
- 12:58Speaker 1: who was covering this whole debacle. And once this hit
- 13:02Speaker 1: the internet, it became like, a flashpoint for, I think, every, like,
- 13:10Speaker 1: you take the parts of every single culture war argument
- 13:15Speaker 1: that we've been, like, has been thrown at us from
- 13:19Speaker 1: the past, like, six years, all into one moment. And it,
- 13:27Speaker 1: it went fucking viral! Like, we had Ted Cruz. Every
- 13:31Speaker 1: single conservative person was like, oh my god, we found it,
- 13:34Speaker 1: we found it. the most woke. We found the beating
- 13:38Speaker 1: heart of the liberal mind, woke mind virus. And then
- 13:43Speaker 1: on the left, you have people being like, am I
- 13:46Speaker 1: not woke enough? Because I'm not following. I'm not following.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Let me say this. The greatest thing about America is
- 13:54Speaker 1: that you can have pockets of people that are like this, that,
- 14:00Speaker 1: you know, On one hand, you're in rural America, and
- 14:03Speaker 1: you see the opposite of that. You see people who
- 14:05Speaker 1: will have a truck with, like, 30 bumper stickers that say, um, we, like,
- 14:13Speaker 1: they're in the water.
- 14:15Speaker 2: There lies chemicals put there by Joe Biden that are
- 14:19Speaker 2: going to delete penises and create vaginas. And we are,
- 14:24Speaker 2: and they are going to, and they're.
- 14:27Speaker 1: From North Korea. It's North Korea. spilling these chemicals into
- 14:31Speaker 1: the water because who really runs north korea china and
- 14:36Speaker 1: um you have the opposite of that as well in
- 14:40Speaker 1: rural america you have places that are like like however
- 14:46Speaker 1: however far left do you think you are or take
- 14:49Speaker 1: the most woke person you know doesn't even have to
- 14:51Speaker 1: be personally there are people woker than that there is
- 14:56Speaker 1: the like beyond the woker we have the wokest Out
- 15:00Speaker 1: of all those people, the reason why I giggled about
- 15:03Speaker 1: the firebomb comment earlier is one person in that whole
- 15:08Speaker 1: exchange who was in that meeting said, who goes by
- 15:13Speaker 1: the name Serene Necrosis. People did some digging. Because, of course,
- 15:17Speaker 1: there was like an outpouring of people. And there was
- 15:19Speaker 1: a lot of people who were commenting on this who
- 15:21Speaker 1: had never even been to this bar. So this went
- 15:24Speaker 1: far beyond the community of Last Ditch Bar. But the
- 15:28Speaker 1: person that made the firebomb comment, Serene Necrosis is their
- 15:32Speaker 1: name on Twitter. People looked at this person's profile and
- 15:35Speaker 1: found an anomaly. Perhaps the wokest. The actual... There's two...
- 15:44Speaker 1: possibilities here. This is either indeed the wokest, the wokest
- 15:50Speaker 1: that we have ever found, or this is maybe some
- 15:54Speaker 1: of the greatest performance art that I've ever seen. Let
- 16:00Speaker 1: me read you some selected tweets. I actually don't know
- 16:05Speaker 1: which I could say because some of these are so... Okay,
- 16:10Speaker 1: here's one. There was a tweet that said, NASA admin
- 16:13Speaker 1: Jared Isaacman responds to a letter from 10-year-old asking to
- 16:17Speaker 1: make Pluto a planet again. This Serenacrosis says, Pluto should
- 16:21Speaker 1: still be called a planet even though it's a dwarf
- 16:24Speaker 1: planet because people with dwarfism are still people. Nurses are
- 16:30Speaker 1: to disabled people what cops are to black people, and
- 16:33Speaker 1: if you're black and disabled at the same time, you're
- 16:35Speaker 1: basically screwed. And according to disability scholars, racism is socially disabling,
- 16:40Speaker 1: so there's no such thing as a non-disabled black person.
- 16:48Speaker 1: People of color is a slur. Black immunocompromised queers exist. Um...
- 16:56Speaker 1: Taylor Swift is a NAZI and her supporters are NAZIs. Therefore,
- 17:02Speaker 1: I wish unto Taylor and all her fans the same
- 17:04Speaker 1: fate I wish unto all NAZIs, from which neither are
- 17:09Speaker 1: meaningfully distinguishable. And the cherry on top, Irish people are
- 17:15Speaker 1: the only people who should be drinking milk because of
- 17:18Speaker 1: its cultural connotations. All of these other varieties of European
- 17:21Speaker 1: ethnicities need to either eat their own cultural foods, appreciate
- 17:25Speaker 1: the food sovereignty of the Irish, or stop appropriating altogether.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Should I read one more? It's not lost on me
- 17:34Speaker 1: that I've received a huge amount of hate from so-called
- 17:36Speaker 1: leftist accounts since changing my profile picture to include a
- 17:40Speaker 1: hijab-inspired secular accessorization. What is a hijab-inspired secular accessory, might
- 17:56Speaker 1: you be wondering? This person, I'm assuming, not Muslim, but
- 18:04Speaker 1: nevertheless is wearing a hijab in their profile picture to
- 18:08Speaker 1: just do that. Let's take that all in. Let's feel
- 18:16Speaker 1: how that feels. You can't really think of mental gymnastics
- 18:22Speaker 1: that are woker than that. It actually does not get
- 18:27Speaker 1: woker than that. We are talking circles and circles and
- 18:31Speaker 1: circles of logic to get so far left. That is
- 18:38Speaker 1: why I think there are theories that this person is
- 18:40Speaker 1: performance art. But nevertheless, they were involved in this lesbian
- 18:45Speaker 1: bar thing. conundrum. Let me say this. When you get
- 18:50Speaker 1: into an online silo or an online bubble, a political bubble,
- 18:57Speaker 1: culture war bubble, you can, it's quick to fall into one,
- 19:03Speaker 1: but it's also, you know, quick to fall out. That's
- 19:05Speaker 1: why you see so many of these like horseshoe theory
- 19:08Speaker 1: ass people like Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, that just like
- 19:12Speaker 1: flip flop on whatever whatever they want to like spew
- 19:17Speaker 1: by the day. Um, but to be in a bubble
- 19:20Speaker 1: or a silo, that is a physical community. That is
- 19:23Speaker 1: a physical town, um, where it's not like you log
- 19:27Speaker 1: off and then it's like 2007 again, it's like you
- 19:31Speaker 1: log off and somehow your surroundings are even woker. Um,
- 19:37Speaker 1: and that is the reality of towns like Greenfield, Massachusetts, uh,
- 19:41Speaker 1: and so many little towns like up in the Pioneer Valley, Vermont,
- 19:47Speaker 1: and even across the world. So when you hear, like,
- 19:52Speaker 1: if you think how could someone get into such beliefs?
- 19:56Speaker 1: How could someone's personal view on life be this strong?
- 20:06Speaker 1: I don't know even what word the word you would
- 20:09Speaker 1: use to call it would really have to depend on
- 20:10Speaker 1: your viewpoint. Radical, not right. Like it is because these
- 20:14Speaker 1: people are in a living like an actual it's like
- 20:17Speaker 1: that that episode of The Simpsons where the glass or no,
- 20:20Speaker 1: the movie actually where the glass dome goes on Springfield. Whoa.
- 20:25Speaker 1: And like traps a whole town in there. And then
- 20:27Speaker 1: you are in an actual physical echo chamber. And I
- 20:32Speaker 1: don't think that's a bad thing, okay? Obviously, it's not
- 20:35Speaker 1: like you're walking into this town and all of a
- 20:37Speaker 1: sudden you develop a cough and an illness. And it's
- 20:41Speaker 1: not COVID because everyone's masked. It's the woke mind virus.
- 20:45Speaker 1: And it is taking over your brain. And day one,
- 20:49Speaker 1: your pronouns change to they, them. Day two, you have
- 20:52Speaker 1: blue hair. Day three, you're suddenly a he, him lesbian.
- 20:55Speaker 1: And day four, you are believing that Anyone but Irish
- 21:01Speaker 1: people shouldn't be drinking milk because it's culturally insensitive. It's
- 21:07Speaker 1: not like that happens. But it is a landing point
- 21:11Speaker 1: for people who are incongruent with other parts of society.
- 21:16Speaker 1: And I think specifically with people that mask every single day,
- 21:25Speaker 1: this is sort of a– these places are landing points
- 21:27Speaker 1: for them. It is a– I know you hate to
- 21:30Speaker 1: hear the word. It is a safe space for them.
- 21:34Speaker 1: And I don't see any problem with that. I think,
- 21:40Speaker 1: because it's anthropologically just fun. It's fun. I know people
- 21:45Speaker 1: are getting worked up about this. People get worked up
- 21:48Speaker 1: about any kind of like, like, seeing, like, a blue-haired
- 21:52Speaker 1: he-him lesbian and then the gears in their brain start
- 21:55Speaker 1: jamming and they have to put grease in it. But, like,
- 21:58Speaker 1: I think it's fun. I think that it is... Fun
- 22:03Speaker 1: that we have such unique human beings that walk this earth.
- 22:07Speaker 1: I wouldn't want to live with them. That's why I
- 22:09Speaker 1: don't live in Greenfield, Massachusetts with them. And that's why
- 22:13Speaker 1: they don't live in New York with me. We have
- 22:17Speaker 1: opposing lifestyles. But nevertheless, let them be woke. Let them
- 22:23Speaker 1: be woke. And the biggest tragedy of this whole thing
- 22:28Speaker 1: is how this breached containment. These people were in containment.
- 22:34Speaker 1: You're not finding like, like 99% of the people who
- 22:37Speaker 1: are upset about this whole situation are never going to
- 22:42Speaker 1: come into contact with these people. Like maybe once in
- 22:45Speaker 1: a while, someone on an Instagram post will like, I
- 22:49Speaker 1: feel like I've gotten this maybe four times. And this
- 22:51Speaker 1: is coming from someone like I've probably gotten, I don't
- 22:53Speaker 1: know what, like a million comments altogether. And I don't
- 22:56Speaker 1: read them. I actually don't read them at fucking all anymore.
- 22:58Speaker 1: But like, Maybe twice I've read a comment, even in
- 23:02Speaker 1: like 2022, when it was like still COVID times, people
- 23:05Speaker 1: being like, where's your mask? Like, that's not a thing.
- 23:08Speaker 1: No one is going to force the mask upon you.
- 23:11Speaker 1: We could have another fucking pandemic at this point, and
- 23:13Speaker 1: we're probably not even going to have another mask mandate,
- 23:16Speaker 1: which is awesome. But, and that was ironic. So, there...
- 23:23Speaker 1: needs to be places for these people there actually needs
- 23:26Speaker 1: to be places for these people and i i know
- 23:29Speaker 1: that if you if we were like if the house
- 23:33Speaker 1: the senate like gets flipped the republican which by the
- 23:37Speaker 1: way guys register to vote the midterms are coming up
- 23:40Speaker 1: we actually need to win them um that they would
- 23:43Speaker 1: put these people in institutions. So I think that it's
- 23:46Speaker 1: beautiful that they can live in a little Stardew Valley-esque
- 23:49Speaker 1: town in the middle of Massachusetts, and you will pretty
- 23:53Speaker 1: much never interact with them, and they will probably pretty
- 23:56Speaker 1: much never interact with you. It's tragic that this broke containment,
- 24:01Speaker 1: and it ended up on Fox News, and then we
- 24:04Speaker 1: did the fucking rounds, and now we're talking about it
- 24:06Speaker 1: on the newly revamped Drama Mama podcast. But do you
- 24:12Speaker 1: want to know my personal views on this? And this
- 24:14Speaker 1: is where we'll get into hot water. I, I will simply,
- 24:21Speaker 1: I will simply echo what a lot, what I, what
- 24:27Speaker 1: a lot of people I think feel is that the
- 24:30Speaker 1: thing about, um, these forever masker people And this cannot
- 24:36Speaker 1: sound like Joe Rogan or anything. I was masked up.
- 24:39Speaker 1: I was getting tested throughout the whole pandemic. I believe
- 24:42Speaker 1: in the science. Figure number one. It feels like there
- 24:48Speaker 1: is no off ramp. I think that people who are
- 24:52Speaker 1: forever maskers, um, and people and the rest of the
- 24:58Speaker 1: population are in two different kind of, uh, realities or
- 25:05Speaker 1: at least have accepted two different realities there is the
- 25:12Speaker 1: forever maskers that look at the signs that you know
- 25:15Speaker 1: covid is never going away like it's actually i mean
- 25:18Speaker 1: both realities kind of like acknowledge that it's never going
- 25:21Speaker 1: away that people constantly get it and don't get it
- 25:24Speaker 1: um and even if like you got the vaccine back
- 25:27Speaker 1: in like 2020 2021 like it pretty much fucking wore
- 25:30Speaker 1: off at this point and you don't, and now I'm
- 25:33Speaker 1: going to get the little COVID information bar on this. Um,
- 25:36Speaker 1: but it, you know, we're pretty much back to square
- 25:39Speaker 1: one where like a huge chunk of, or what do
- 25:42Speaker 1: they call it? Like herd herd immunity. Like we're either
- 25:45Speaker 1: at that. And then there's like some people that will
- 25:48Speaker 1: get very sick from it. Immunocompromised people. And a lot
- 25:50Speaker 1: of those people are forever maskers. So the two different
- 25:54Speaker 1: realities are that a, you must wear the mask forever.
- 25:59Speaker 1: COVID will never go away. And yet they still are
- 26:02Speaker 1: fighting for everyone to be masked. Um, and then there's
- 26:06Speaker 1: the other reality that COVID is going to be a
- 26:12Speaker 1: fact of life and we will get it over and
- 26:16Speaker 1: over and over again. And we don't really know much
- 26:19Speaker 1: about long COVID, but you know, you heard a little bit,
- 26:21Speaker 1: it doesn't sound good. Um, and, uh, They are very
- 26:25Speaker 1: at odds, but I think party B looks at party A,
- 26:28Speaker 1: the forever maskers, and thinks, where is the off ramp? Like,
- 26:35Speaker 1: you are actually going to do this forever? I think
- 26:38Speaker 1: it's a little disbelief at them. And on the other hand,
- 26:41Speaker 1: party A looks at party B and thinks, okay, so
- 26:44Speaker 1: you're fine with killing anyone that comes in contact to
- 26:49Speaker 1: you that's immunocompromised and you are ableist and you want
- 26:52Speaker 1: to kill disabled people. And that is, I don't see
- 26:59Speaker 1: that going anywhere. I don't see there becoming like a
- 27:02Speaker 1: solution to, cause I know for a fact that the
- 27:06Speaker 1: 99% of people that are in party B are not
- 27:09Speaker 1: going to start masking ever again. Like they are never,
- 27:12Speaker 1: never again. It will never happen. Like genuinely, I think
- 27:15Speaker 1: that there could be a pandemic 10 times fucking worse
- 27:18Speaker 1: and how badly the whole world fumbled dealing with COVID
- 27:22Speaker 1: is people are burnt out from it and they will
- 27:25Speaker 1: literally never mask again. Um, and then they're like, Oh
- 27:28Speaker 1: my God. So that is why maybe the solution is
- 27:33Speaker 1: to have these spaces for them. These little quaint towns
- 27:37Speaker 1: of maybe 500 people, um, where they are free to
- 27:42Speaker 1: just do four masks on top of each other if
- 27:45Speaker 1: they want to and, and have whatever identity they are
- 27:50Speaker 1: comfortable with. And, uh, Have those towns be so far
- 27:55Speaker 1: from the rest of society that people never interface. And
- 27:58Speaker 1: it was going so well. This is not a new thing.
- 28:01Speaker 1: Like it is truly not a new thing until that
- 28:05Speaker 1: damn Boston Globe article. And now this poor bar, which
- 28:09Speaker 1: already like had it paid their employees in like ever
- 28:14Speaker 1: since I started. is now getting people like, it's now
- 28:18Speaker 1: a tourist attraction. Like it's like a Twitter tourist attraction.
- 28:22Speaker 1: There's people, cause here's the thing. Here's the approach also
- 28:25Speaker 1: on the left side, because we see as, as, as
- 28:30Speaker 1: leftists and liberals, we see an extreme that is so
- 28:36Speaker 1: far from even, uh, the, the beliefs and lives of
- 28:41Speaker 1: many even staunch leftists that it's like, Oh, wow. We're
- 28:46Speaker 1: maybe not going to win the midterms because, you know,
- 28:49Speaker 1: there's the– people use, like, scapegoats. And right-wing people will
- 28:56Speaker 1: look at the goers of last-ditch bar and rewire their
- 29:02Speaker 1: brains so that suddenly every single left-leaning leftist Democrat– like,
- 29:08Speaker 1: literally anyone left of center is that person. And that
- 29:13Speaker 1: is unfortunate because– We like we really got to win.
- 29:19Speaker 1: We really got to win these midterms, guys. So, you know,
- 29:25Speaker 1: a big response from the left was we like if
- 29:31Speaker 1: you went into the comments of like any kind of
- 29:33Speaker 1: post on this is like we actually cannot think about
- 29:36Speaker 1: this for more than 10 seconds because we have midterms
- 29:39Speaker 1: to win. and I agree one of my biggest one
- 29:45Speaker 1: of my biggest beliefs as someone that I would consider
- 29:50Speaker 1: myself very left leaning very leftist yada yada yada sometimes
- 29:57Speaker 1: we get a little bit And, oh, and my light
- 30:02Speaker 1: died back there. We get a little unfocused and lose
- 30:05Speaker 1: track of some of the most important issues. And, you know,
- 30:11Speaker 1: this happened with the 2020, when was it, 2024 election.
- 30:16Speaker 1: We got a little sidetracked with a ton of other things.
- 30:20Speaker 1: And we lost it. We screwed the fucking pooch. So please, God, let's,
- 30:28Speaker 1: Let's close a book on this one and let's register
- 30:31Speaker 1: to vote. Me saying, okay, well, I, can I say that?
- 30:35Speaker 1: Cause I can't even fucking vote. Um, so do what
- 30:38Speaker 1: you will. But if you care about me and you
- 30:42Speaker 1: care about the planet drilling in the Arctic, the human rights,
- 30:47Speaker 1: let's vote accordingly. Do we like this new setup? Or
- 30:55Speaker 1: is it too off-putting? Here's the thing. My mom came
- 30:59Speaker 1: and visited, and she saw the conditions of where I
- 31:03Speaker 1: filmed this. She breathed the air that has, like, millions
- 31:09Speaker 1: of particles of asbestos, and she said, you need to
- 31:12Speaker 1: get the fuck out of there. This is not a
- 31:15Speaker 1: good environment to be in. And to her, I said,
- 31:20Speaker 1: I'm keeping it. Because I, the beauty and my favorite
- 31:24Speaker 1: thing about what I do is I don't have to
- 31:26Speaker 1: leave the house for weeks on end if I don't
- 31:28Speaker 1: want to. And the thought of having an office space
- 31:32Speaker 1: or a studio, I can't. I can't do it. I can't.
- 31:38Speaker 1: I'm not taking the train to an office when I
- 31:41Speaker 1: worked so hard to never have that. So I embrace
- 31:46Speaker 1: the dungeon. I love the dungeon. I want, and is
- 31:50Speaker 1: there a fog in the air? Is there a palpable
- 31:53Speaker 1: fog in the air from here to this wall seven
- 31:56Speaker 1: feet away of like a mysterious dust fog, even though
- 32:00Speaker 1: there's no air movement in here? I don't give a fuck.
- 32:04Speaker 1: So not only is this new era of the podcast longer. Hey,
- 32:10Speaker 1: we're doing longer episodes now. I'm talking until my vocal
- 32:14Speaker 1: cords split in half. Not only are the episodes longer,
- 32:17Speaker 1: but this will be the start of an experiment to
- 32:21Speaker 1: see how long until I give myself fibers in my
- 32:25Speaker 1: lungs that create lung cancer. So, but actually, my lease
- 32:29Speaker 1: is up in seven months, so, like, it won't be, like,
- 32:32Speaker 1: one day... Maybe I'll get a dingier basement. I don't know,
- 32:35Speaker 1: but do we like it? Any improvements, any questions? And,
- 32:39Speaker 1: and let me say, I thank you for sticking with
- 32:42Speaker 1: this fucking podcast. That was once called. I almost died
- 32:45Speaker 1: and it was literally just near death stories. And I
- 32:47Speaker 1: was like 20, just going, um, and now at this
- 32:53Speaker 1: age of 27, no, that math is not right. I
- 32:57Speaker 1: was 21 when I started it. It was 2021, I think. Um,
- 33:01Speaker 1: and we're still going stronger than ever. got a podcast deal,
- 33:05Speaker 1: it's with SiriusXM, baby, um, we're gonna get ads, yep,
- 33:11Speaker 1: someone's gonna sponsor this fucking shindig, um, otherwise, what did
- 33:15Speaker 1: I spend all the money on vintage tabloids for? Nothing,
- 33:19Speaker 1: fucking nothing, and then I'll just end the podcast, and
- 33:22Speaker 1: then you'll have nothing, so, um, follow the podcast Instagram
- 33:27Speaker 1: at drama mama, drama mama, drama mama, Sorry, two drama
- 33:32Speaker 1: mamas because I'm actually going to post on it now
- 33:34Speaker 1: and it'll be fun. And this will be fun, guys.
- 33:37Speaker 1: This will be fun. We're going to have fun. I
- 33:38Speaker 1: have a lot of like fun things in store. So anyways,
- 33:44Speaker 1: love you. I'll see you next Thursday.
